Transcript
- 0:00[SPEAKER_03]: The liberal globalist order is on its brink and awakening a new conservative age.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_03]: Dr. Steve Turley joined me every day as we discover answers to today's toughest challenges and explore the re-bondalization of conservative civilization.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_03]: This is Turley Talks.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_03]: something extraordinary is happening right now on the floor of the United States Senate, and if you've ever wondered whether the American people still have the power to force Washington to do the right thing, what you're about to hear is going to give you real reason to believe that the answer.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_03]: is yes.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_03]: The Save America Act, the most common sense election integrity bill in the generation, supported by over 83% of Americans, including a majority of Democrats, is finally getting its day of reckoning.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_03]: And the Republican Party, to their credit, is not backing down.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_03]: In fact, they're going on offense in a way that hasn't been seen in this Chamber in over 60 years, deploying every procedural weapon at their disposal, burning the midnight oil and making Democrats sit in the hot seat on national television day after day to explain why they oppose a bill that the overwhelming majority of their own voters support.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_03]: The Momentum is real, the pressure is building, and the American people are the ones driving it.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_03]: By the end of this video, you're going to see just how many paths lead to victory because the Patriots in Congress have a backup plan and then a backup plan for the backup plan and they're determined to put this bill on President Trump's desk one way or another.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_03]: Hey gang, it's me, Dr. Steve, your Patre professor here to help you make sense of the madness with breaking news and analysis you're not going to get anywhere else.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_03]: So you know what to do, make sure to smack that bell and subscribe button.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_03]: Alright, so today is the big day, the Save America Act, the Safe Guard American Voter Eligibility Act.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_03]: It's finally getting its long-awaited Senate floor debate this week after Senate majority leader John Thun initiated a procedural vote to open discussion on the landmark elections overhaul, which passed the House 2018 to 2013 back in February.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_03]: Now, remember, the save act is very simple and as basic as you can possibly get for a constitutional republic, it would require
- 2:34[SPEAKER_03]: documentary proof of citizenship to register to vote and a government issued photo ID to vote in all federal elections.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_03]: That's it.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_03]: That's the safe act in a nutshell.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_03]: You must have proof of citizenship in order to vote in federal elections.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_03]: Simple, straightforward, who on earth could possibly stand against that?
- 3:00[SPEAKER_03]: While the answer is actually very simple, those who's political power depends on the ability to cheat.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that's the only possible explanation.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_03]: Those who believe that this act, the SAVAC, is a threat to their power.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_03]: Now despite the fact that over 83% of Americans support the core voter ID requirement, including 71% of Democrats,
- 3:25[SPEAKER_03]: The bill never the last is facing an uphill battle on the Senate because it can't reach the 60 vote threshold that's been weaponized by the Democrats in order to break a Democrat filibuster and food himself acknowledged the mass simply doesn't work all the while resisting pressure.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_03]: from President Trump and Elon Musk to reinstate the talking filibuster.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_03]: So in fairness, Thun is worried, again, at least this is what he's publicly saying.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_03]: He's worried that a role change would turn into a procedural nightmare because when they change the rules in the Senate, that opens up the opportunity for Democrats to propose a whole barrage of unlimited amendments that will only end up obstructing the entire process.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_03]: Not so says Utah Senator Mike Lee.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_02]: I invite all within the center of my voice who would like this bill to become law.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_02]: To reach out to as many people as possible, friends, neighbors, especially United States senators who might listen to you.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_02]: Ask them, please get this past.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_02]: Tell them we need to invoke the talking filibuster in the United States Senate.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_02]: No zombie filibuster will suffice on this one.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_02]: We've got a turn to this bill, we've got to debate it, and we've got to stay on the bill until it becomes long.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_02]: There can be no surrender, there can be no ifs ands or buts, there can be no cheap imitations here.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_02]: Republicans on the line.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_02]: Let's get this done.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_03]: Now what Mike Lee is proposing is a hybrid version of the talking filibusters.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_03]: We talked about this yesterday.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_03]: A hybrid approach means that the bill lands on the Senate floor and then there's the announcement of extended debate before closure is even.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_03]: filed.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_03]: So Democrats will have no choice, but to sit in the hot seat publicly, forcing them to explain their opposition to a bill supported by 80% of the American people, again, including a majority of Democrats, and they would have to publicize that opposition day after day with cameras rolling, heading into a midterm election.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_03]: It's being called a Senate floor takeover by the Republicans.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_03]: They're flooding the chamber with extended sessions, late nights, and relentless debate pressure in a calculated bid to force Democrats to publicly justify their opposition to the Save America Act.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_03]: Mike Lee is explicitly invoking the 1964 Civil Rights Act as the playbook here, and he's
- 6:05[SPEAKER_03]: 32 vote cloture deficit.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_03]: So what the Republicans did is they kept the chamber in session for 60 days straight until they broke the opposition.
- 6:17[SPEAKER_03]: And Michael is arguing that the same strategy is being deployed right now and they're hoping to wear down Democrats until they either flip or they face the political consequences heading into the November midterms.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_03]: The deeper stakes here go beyond the bill itself.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_03]: So for example, Senator John Coran in a 24-year Senate veteran who once actually said that changing the filibuster would take a wrecking ball to the United States Senate, he's now reversed course.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_03]: And he's publicly supporting whatever rule changes are necessary to pass the save act.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_03]: And so the very architecture of the Senate's 60 vote supermajority threshold
- 6:59[SPEAKER_03]: One of the ways in which Republicans are trying to pass the save act while still keeping the filibuster is by passing it as a reconciliation bill.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_03]: Reconciliation bills only require 51 votes to pass, but reconciliation bills are generally specific to budgetary issues.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_03]: So the argument that centers like Louisiana, Louisiana's John Kerry are making is that the save act carries undeniable fiscal implications, right, proof of citizenship requires
- 7:34[SPEAKER_03]: requirements directly reduce the costs associated with federal benefits, welfare programs, public services, flowing to ineligible non-citizens, which is precisely the kind of mandatory spending reform that qualifies under what's called the bird rule, which requires that reconciliation provisions have to have a direct budgetary effect.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_03]: also the precedent is fully on the Republican side.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_03]: Democrats used the reconciliation process twice in recent years to pass sweeping partisan legislation on party line votes and with Senate Democrats now blocking both DHS funding and the save act through the filibuster Republicans have explicitly declared that a reconciliation bill
- 8:20[SPEAKER_03]: is the only train leave in the station for moving priority legislation that can't reach the 60 votes.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_03]: So again, with the bill that has over 80% support among voters, including a majority of Democrats, who support the bill's core requirement that only citizens are allowed to vote in American elections.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_03]: This is a perfect bill for the Republicans to frame as simultaneously a vote for both election integrity and fiscal responsibility ahead of the November midterms all the while forcing the Democrats to vote against it.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_03]: But we do have to ask the question, what if all of this fails?
- 8:59[SPEAKER_03]: what if the Senate is so utterly dysfunctional that it can't pass a piece of legislation supported by over 80% of the nation, again, including a majority of Democrats?
- 9:09[SPEAKER_03]: What then?
- 9:10[SPEAKER_03]: That is exactly what we're about to find out.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_03]: But first, let's talk about our health, because we can't save this country unless we first take care of ourselves.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm talking particularly to you men out there.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_03]: Did you know that for decades, average male testosterone levels have been quietly declining.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_03]: And according to the Cleveland Clinic, nearly 1 in 10 men over 50 now have clinically low testosterone.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_03]: So guys, if you're in your early to mid 40s, it's already declining, but here's the problem.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_03]: Low T is often defined as under 300 nanograms per deciliter, meaning you can still be labelled normal and feel anything but normal, right?
- 9:54[SPEAKER_03]: Low libido, low energy, mood swings, gaining fat while losing muscle, brain fog, poor sleep, hair loss.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_03]: We're taught that this is just part of midlife, but it's actually your hormones saying, hey man, help a brother out!
- 10:09[SPEAKER_03]: Injections and prescriptions can be expensive and have hard side effects so my go to is Mars from the wellness company Mars is a non-injectable hormone free formula designed to support your body's own testosterone production
- 10:26[SPEAKER_03]: No prescriptions, no synthetic hormones, no needles.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_03]: It combines clinically-backed ingredients, like tongue-gotha-li, shiligit, tribulous, horny goatweed, yes, it's called exactly that, boron and zinc.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_03]: Now this unique combo reduces supplement intake quantity and supports energy, stamina, confidence, and sexual health.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_03]: Power your performance, restore your edge.

- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: But I can tell you what I'll tell Democrats, you should listen to the American people.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_00]: ostensibly we're supposed to come here and represent the interest of the American people.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_00]: This is a 9010 issue in public opinion polling and Democrats.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: agree that you should be a citizen and have a photo ID to vote at a number at a tune of about 70%.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_00]: So there's no argument that you shouldn't do this.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_00]: If they want free and fair elections, if they don't think fraud should be a problem and they should vote to enforce federal law.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's already the law.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_00]: As you know, it's already the law that you have to, that you have to be a citizen to vote in American elections and we should enforce that.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_00]: And having a photo ID, you have to have a photo ID to do everything in American society.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_00]: Why not to vote?
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's ridiculous from then to oppose it.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_00]: We are cheering along the Senate Republicans and trying to force this through.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully, hopefully, we can get this to the president's desk for signature.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_00]: It's a top priority, not just for Republicans and Congress, again.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_00]: common sense versus crazy.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_00]: It's crazy to say that you should not be a citizen or not have a ID to vote.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_00]: And it is common sense and it's comports to the American people.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, that's brilliant.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, if it's already a law, if it's already the law of the land, what on earth is the problem with finding mechanisms for enforcing it?
- 12:17[SPEAKER_03]: What are the Democrats proposing to enforce a law that's already on the box?
- 12:21[SPEAKER_03]: If you can enforce it, what good is the law?
- 12:25[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, the Democrats are clearly the party of lawlessness here.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_03]: They've clearly come to power the more people cheat.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_03]: They hate the country, they want to burn it down, and rebuild it in their own bizarre cultural Marxist image.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_03]: Well, congressional Republicans are sending a very clear message to the Senate.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_01]: get this done or we're going to get it done for you a number of Republicans in the house that will refuse to vote on any rule that has Senate legislation meaning no Senate legislation will pass unless the Save America Act is something that the Senate will vote on but look Maria.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_01]: And as you are seeing now you are seeing some of the more moderate Democrats getting squishy on this issue and what I will say is that we actually if we stick this on FISA let's say that
- 13:09[SPEAKER_01]: everything goes to hell and a hand basket in the Senate and we can't get anything done with the standing filibuster.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_01]: Then we can't stick it on Pfizer.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_01]: As you know, Maria fizes one of these must-pass pieces of legislation that the Senate would literally walk over broken glass in order to act past.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_01]: And I believe this is how we're going to actually get it done.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_01]: But it is unfortunate, everything that you're seeing with TSA, you know, Chuck Schumer saying that they want to, you know, defund, operate, ice operations at top.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_01]: But we've already funded it until 2020.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_01]: So they're just playing games at this point.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_01]: And remember, a voter ID is national security, and it's the number one way that we can protect our country.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_03]: So what the Congresswoman is talking about there is this, Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_03]: Pfizer, right?
- 13:47[SPEAKER_03]: That's the legal authority that allows the U.S. government to conduct warrantless surveillance on foreign targets overseas.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_03]: It's set to expire
- 13:57[SPEAKER_03]: on April 20th and renewing it is considered an absolute national security necessity, meaning both parties are under enormous pressure to pass a reauthorization bill regardless of politics, especially in the wake of the war with Iran.
- 14:12[SPEAKER_03]: So, representative Annapollina Luna in a block of house conservatives are exploring that urgency as leverage.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_03]: And they're flatly declaring that there will be no clean reauthorization unless the Save America Act is attached to that reauthorization.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_03]: So, the logic here...
- 14:33[SPEAKER_03]: is that if the Senate wants its precious spy powers renewed before their labs, then the Senate is going to have to swallow the same act as part of the package, effectively forcing a vote that Democrats could not fill a buster without also being blamed for letting critical national security authorities expire.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_03]: Now, there's a risk to this, and that is that Pfizer reauthorization has attracted by partisan
- 15:03[SPEAKER_03]: But that bipartisan ship is limited.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_03]: It's somewhat thin.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_03]: So the Senate voted 65 to 34 to reauthorize it in 2018.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_03]: They voted 60 to 34 to reauthorize it in April 2024.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_03]: Meaning roughly a third of the Senate is going to vote against it every single time for whatever reason.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_03]: So it's not a slammed dunk and it could give otherwise willing Democrats
- 15:30[SPEAKER_03]: You know, an easy narrative that Republicans are holding national security hostage for electoral politics, which is why even Mike Lee is expressive wearing this about that strategy.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_03]: But here's the good news.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_03]: Bottom line, when all said and done, the Republicans want to put the save act on President Trump's desk, and they are actively strategizing all the different ways they can get that done.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_03]: So let's all make sure we're doing our part in this.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_03]: Our good friend Scott Prassler is calling on everyone to contact your senators today.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_03]: We need their phones ringing off the hook.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_03]: In fact, do it all week long, especially if you're a Democrat or get your Democrat friends and acquaintances.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_03]: who are supporters of the save act, get them to contact their Democrat senators.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_03]: We need to put maximum citizen pressure on this campaign to secure our elections for citizens only.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_03]: So what do you guys think?
- 16:30[SPEAKER_03]: What do you think's the most likely way to save act passes?
