- 0:00Speaker 1: Jaguars are heading to London for two consecutive games. You guys,
- 0:04Speaker 1: what are your concerns about this team going abroad right now?
- 0:06Speaker 2: I have not. You know, this is a group that's
- 0:08Speaker 2: been over there, you know, from a player's perspective, and
- 0:10Speaker 2: the travel logistics team has done this for a couple
- 0:12Speaker 2: of years together, so I think they've got this one nailed.
- 0:15Speaker 3: Yeah. I have no concerns about the trip. I have
- 0:17Speaker 3: concerned it's about the game. I wanted to get a.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Lad Welcome to JAG's am presented by Field's Auto Group.
- 0:40Speaker 1: It's Thursday, It's travel Thursday. We're headed to London later
- 0:44Speaker 1: on today, and I know they got everything in down
- 0:46Speaker 1: pat but still gonna be a change of scenery. Some
- 0:49Speaker 1: of the players talked about it. We're gonna get to
- 0:50Speaker 1: that in big things. You guys, it's old hat for you.
- 0:52Speaker 1: So are you excited to go for the week this
- 0:54Speaker 1: time or you just kind of excited to see what
- 0:56Speaker 1: the team comes up?
- 0:56Speaker 4: Oh?
- 0:56Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I am. I mean I enjoyed. We went
- 0:58Speaker 2: over there in twenty fourteen and spent the week, and
- 1:01Speaker 2: I enjoyed it. Enjoyed being around our team right and
- 1:06Speaker 2: spending time in London a little bit here and there.
- 1:10Speaker 2: I enjoyed the changes Therey two. It's a nice perk.
- 1:12Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I was for home but Mary out.
- 1:16Speaker 3: But within the context of this, it is nice to
- 1:19Speaker 3: get over there. For us. You get a couple of
- 1:22Speaker 3: days we actually see it, and I think for the team,
- 1:25Speaker 3: which is what people care about, I think it does
- 1:28Speaker 3: help that second week. I think getting into a routine
- 1:32Speaker 3: over there will feel more like a home game than
- 1:36Speaker 3: maybe the home game, which is the first game, which
- 1:39Speaker 3: is the second game, which.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Is you know, one other thing you know over the
- 1:44Speaker 2: ten years now, because the tenth game will be played
- 1:47Speaker 2: while we're over there. They've built that Union Jack's Club
- 1:50Speaker 2: up and you see familiar faces. You see them at
- 1:53Speaker 2: the pub with the party, you see them out and about,
- 1:56Speaker 2: you see them at the stadium. You know, kind of
- 1:58Speaker 2: like when you come in here. It's nice. It feels
- 2:01Speaker 2: like home away from home for the franchise.
- 2:03Speaker 4: Some familiar faces in the UK.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Let's get to our big things this week as we
- 2:07Speaker 1: head over to England. Our first thing is big picture
- 2:10Speaker 1: things not looking great right now, especially the last two weeks.
- 2:12Speaker 1: This team has not performed, but they're only three games
- 2:15Speaker 1: into the season. There's still fourteen more games, and dun
- 2:17Speaker 1: Peterson is focusing on figuring things out quickly before things
- 2:21Speaker 1: get worse.
- 2:23Speaker 5: It's not how we start, it's going to be how
- 2:25Speaker 5: we finish, you know, the season. And you know, yeah,
- 2:29Speaker 5: we we're making mistakes. It's not like you know, teams
- 2:32Speaker 5: have really done much, you know, to us as far
- 2:36Speaker 5: as beating us. Where we were beating ourselves, you know,
- 2:38Speaker 5: and that's usually the case. And you know, once we
- 2:41Speaker 5: figure out and a lot like last year, we were
- 2:44Speaker 5: kind of beating ourselves. And once we figure out how
- 2:46Speaker 5: to you know, kind of get out of our own way,
- 2:48Speaker 5: take care of the football, tackle better, all those types
- 2:50Speaker 5: of things, then things begin to go in your favor.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Yes, you need to focus on big picture, but Brian,
- 2:57Speaker 1: they also need to get better right now, because if
- 2:58Speaker 1: you dig yourself into a big of a hole, you're
- 3:00Speaker 1: not gonna be able.
- 3:00Speaker 4: To get out of it.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Well, John said he wants to see them get a lead, right.
- 3:03Speaker 2: I mean talking to these guys, none of them on
- 3:06Speaker 2: camera want to admit that there's a confidence issue at
- 3:08Speaker 2: this point that they're uh, oh, what's going to go
- 3:11Speaker 2: wrong next? But you do get that sense talking to
- 3:13Speaker 2: them that there is some of that going on, and
- 3:15Speaker 2: so for them to get a lead and to feel
- 3:18Speaker 2: like the team that they believe they are supposed to
- 3:20Speaker 2: be coming into the season would be really important. And
- 3:24Speaker 2: I don't want to be dug right now and having
- 3:25Speaker 2: to try to come up with another thing to say
- 3:28Speaker 2: or another psychological tact to get these guys to believe
- 3:31Speaker 2: in themselves again.
- 3:32Speaker 3: It's such a strange dynamic. This was a team last
- 3:35Speaker 3: year that thrived on the comeback, I mean, and right
- 3:40Speaker 3: now it feels like they're a team that you hate
- 3:45Speaker 3: to say it, because they almost came back against Houston,
- 3:47Speaker 3: then you have the weird play. So I don't know
- 3:49Speaker 3: if they've lost their confidence, but they do feel like
- 3:51Speaker 3: a team right now that I'm interested to see on
- 3:55Speaker 3: Sunday how they respond to that first moment of adversity,
- 3:59Speaker 3: because they have not necessarily responded great in the last
- 4:02Speaker 3: two weeks to situations. You'd love to see them get
- 4:06Speaker 3: back to that. How fast has it changed against the Colts?
- 4:11Speaker 3: Didn't you feel the whole game they were gonna pull
- 4:13Speaker 3: it out?
- 4:13Speaker 4: Yes?
- 4:14Speaker 2: Yes, in two weeks time.
- 4:15Speaker 3: And in eight days from the five minutes for the
- 4:18Speaker 3: Chiefs game, to five minutes after the Texans, all of
- 4:21Speaker 3: a sudden, that sort of goes away. Guess what, Bryan's
- 4:23Speaker 3: a week to week league. It's true.
- 4:25Speaker 2: It's remarkable, it really is, especially when you put in
- 4:28Speaker 2: the perspective of a team that last year loved these situations.
- 4:32Speaker 2: It's hard to put your finger on exactly what what
- 4:35Speaker 2: caused it, right, but right away you know what will
- 4:39Speaker 2: fix it, and that is some success.
- 4:41Speaker 3: And I don't think it's press clippings. No, I don't
- 4:43Speaker 3: think I think it and I don't understand they're not
- 4:46Speaker 3: reading them, and that's a good way to get into
- 4:48Speaker 3: the subject for Doug. But I think it's expectations. You know,
- 4:52Speaker 3: last year they've played with house money except for the
- 4:56Speaker 3: last game of the season where people expect them to
- 4:58Speaker 3: beat the Titans, and what happened And I was lost
- 5:01Speaker 3: the Tiger like it was tight.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Joshua Dobbs Titans not Tanne Hills.
- 5:06Speaker 3: Yeah. So at some point this team needs to get
- 5:12Speaker 3: a good w as the team that people expect them
- 5:16Speaker 3: to and then they say, okay, we can play this way.
- 5:20Speaker 3: Fascinating game and they Sunday.
- 5:22Speaker 1: On those fronts, it's certainly going to be interesting, big
- 5:24Speaker 1: thing number two London isn't calling. We've heard a lot
- 5:27Speaker 1: about the change of scenery what that can do for
- 5:29Speaker 1: a team, but Doug Peterson addressed the fact that, yeah,
- 5:31Speaker 1: change of scenery is fine, but it depends on the
- 5:33Speaker 1: focus of the team.
- 5:36Speaker 5: I've got to trust the players, you know, and you know,
- 5:39Speaker 5: they've got to do the right thing. They've got to
- 5:41Speaker 5: be in the right frame of mind, and and I
- 5:43Speaker 5: have to put it back on them, you know, to
- 5:45Speaker 5: make the right right decisions and right choices.
- 5:47Speaker 2: And you know, by.
- 5:50Speaker 5: By keeping by keeping the schedule and the routine the same,
- 5:55Speaker 5: they can give them the same sort of.
- 6:00Speaker 2: You know, the same habits they have here.
- 6:03Speaker 1: They love Doug Peterson powering through the fire alarm going
- 6:06Speaker 1: off and building yesterday. But what he says is true. Yeah,
- 6:09Speaker 1: change of scenery is nice and lovely, but this is
- 6:10Speaker 1: about them playing.
- 6:11Speaker 4: Football and doing it in the.
- 6:13Speaker 1: Game as well, because at practice at this point, we
- 6:15Speaker 1: don't even know if you can take much from it.
- 6:16Speaker 1: It's more about what they're actually going to be able
- 6:18Speaker 1: to execute. John, do you feel like that's true at
- 6:20Speaker 1: this point? Can you hear much or see much at
- 6:21Speaker 1: practice at this point?
- 6:22Speaker 3: I'm not sure you can see much in practice. I'm
- 6:24Speaker 3: not sure you can see during the press conferences. It's
- 6:29Speaker 3: become a very hard game to analyze this Sunday's game
- 6:33Speaker 3: because we've talked through the issues so much. We know
- 6:36Speaker 3: that their issue has been not scoring in the red zone.
- 6:39Speaker 3: We know it's been they can move the ball and
- 6:41Speaker 3: then right when those moments hit. So I don't know
- 6:43Speaker 3: how you know anything about this team until you get
- 6:47Speaker 3: to third and six on Sunday at the twenty five
- 6:50Speaker 3: yard line and see if they can punch it in
- 6:52Speaker 3: until they get behind. This team was great in those
- 6:56Speaker 3: situations for the last eight games last year. Clicking you
- 7:02Speaker 3: get the idea that if it could click once, it
- 7:04Speaker 3: would keep click and all of a sudden, oh, you know, but.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Firing a little cylinders.
- 7:11Speaker 3: That hasn't happened yet. And again I keep saying, it's
- 7:14Speaker 3: a fascinating game, one of the more interesting games since
- 7:17Speaker 3: I've been covering the Jag Because you feel like they're good,
- 7:20Speaker 3: you feel like they have a chance to be good.
- 7:22Speaker 3: There's gonna be some moments on Sunday where you feel like,
- 7:24Speaker 3: if they don't get this, if this goes the other way,
- 7:28Speaker 3: you wonder if you wonder what it's going to do.
- 7:30Speaker 3: Their confidence. It's a turning point game. It's not must win,
- 7:33Speaker 3: but boy, it's, as I said, winning, woinden't stink.
- 7:38Speaker 2: I spent some time yesterday in the locker room talking Andrancisco,
- 7:41Speaker 2: and he said, they're talking to each other right, not
- 7:44Speaker 2: in a negative way. They are talking in a realistic
- 7:48Speaker 2: way about how to approach this. They're being honest with
- 7:51Speaker 2: each other. He used the word transparent. They're all talking
- 7:54Speaker 2: about where they are and what they're thinking so that
- 7:57Speaker 2: together they can get through this. I get this this
- 8:00Speaker 2: week when things go bad, at least on the defensive
- 8:03Speaker 2: side of the ball, because that's where I spent a
- 8:04Speaker 2: lot of my attention yesterday in the locker room. They're
- 8:06Speaker 2: ready for it. They are ready to put their hand
- 8:09Speaker 2: in the ground or to leap his eyes as they
- 8:11Speaker 2: can and knock a pass away. They're not gonna let
- 8:13Speaker 2: a bad player, adversity get them off track.
- 8:16Speaker 3: And one piece of hoke, I'm gonna give you some hope.
- 8:21Speaker 2: That sounds well, you're gonna give it means more coming
- 8:23Speaker 2: from you, obviously, but not a hopeful guy.
- 8:28Speaker 3: They when Doug kind of put a foot in their
- 8:33Speaker 3: butt on Sunday. They came out and they played really
- 8:37Speaker 3: well with a lot of energy in the first part
- 8:39Speaker 3: of that third quarter and looked like the team you
- 8:41Speaker 3: expected it to be. And then you had a weird
- 8:44Speaker 3: play go against him. So maybe that's what it took
- 8:48Speaker 3: and maybe what we saw early in that third quarter,
- 8:52Speaker 3: because my guess is the foot span and the butt
- 8:55Speaker 3: all week. So I I gotta believe they come out
- 9:00Speaker 3: with their hair on fire on Sunday, and maybe that's
- 9:04Speaker 3: what we'll see. They had dug such a hole on
- 9:07Speaker 3: Sunday that one little bad thing went against him, as like, okay, here.
- 9:10Speaker 2: We go again. So maybe that's the ray of your
- 9:13Speaker 2: hope was good coming from you. It's a little brighter
- 9:17Speaker 2: because well, you know, things are never bright exactly. That's
- 9:20Speaker 2: why I say hope comes for him. It means a
- 9:22Speaker 2: little bit more. I will say this. I've been talking
- 9:24Speaker 2: about Doug at press conference. I've been watching body language.
- 9:26Speaker 2: I thought yesterday he was himself for the first time
- 9:29Speaker 2: since before the Colts game. I thought, that's Doug Peterson.
- 9:32Speaker 2: You know, his energy level was where it needed to be.
- 9:34Speaker 2: He was, you know, witty and popped up. You know,
- 9:36Speaker 2: at the end of that side about dum about bedcheck
- 9:39Speaker 2: and all of that kind of stuff, because don't forget
- 9:41Speaker 2: there's been some incidents in London through the years with
- 9:43Speaker 2: some of the fellas getting out and about Doug's not
- 9:46Speaker 2: gonna have any of that.
- 9:47Speaker 4: Of course not.
- 9:48Speaker 1: We're gonna go to our third big thing quickly. Third
- 9:50Speaker 1: things first, this team has struggled mightily on third down
- 9:54Speaker 1: so far this season. They're ranked I think twenty ninth
- 9:56Speaker 1: in the league. Trevor Lawrence talked about that issue yesterday.
- 10:01Speaker 6: Just keep playing free, played like it's a normal down,
- 10:03Speaker 6: like nothing's different. You know it's third down, but this
- 10:06Speaker 6: shouldn't change anything. And I think that's kind of emphasis too,
- 10:08Speaker 6: and for all of us to just go play.
- 10:12Speaker 1: You can play like it's any other down. But I
- 10:13Speaker 1: would like to see them convert a little bit more.
- 10:15Speaker 1: And you have to get those percentages up, Brian. If
- 10:17Speaker 1: you want to be among the best of the best.
- 10:18Speaker 2: You got to stay on the field. You know. It
- 10:20Speaker 2: made me last week when they failed on first down,
- 10:22Speaker 2: right when there was new completion on first Down'm like,
- 10:24Speaker 2: oh boy, now you got second to ten. You better
- 10:26Speaker 2: get something done here. The failures on third down have
- 10:29Speaker 2: bled back to first down, and if you don't get
- 10:32Speaker 2: six yards on first down, you're thinking, man, are we
- 10:34Speaker 2: gonna be able to convert and stay on the field
- 10:35Speaker 2: right third down? Just it's got to be near forty
- 10:40Speaker 2: five to fifty percent if you want to go offensively
- 10:43Speaker 2: where you think you can.
- 10:44Speaker 3: That dynamic you talked about, it sort of feels like
- 10:46Speaker 3: that's where they are. Every little failure. Okay, we got
- 10:50Speaker 3: two yards on first down. Now we're in trouble. Right now.
- 10:52Speaker 3: It feels like that's what the team's going through. And
- 10:55Speaker 3: I even asked Trevor, how do you He said it
- 10:58Speaker 3: was a good question, by the way, to hear that.
- 11:00Speaker 2: I did hear that, yea.
- 11:02Speaker 3: I said, thank you, Trevor. You hope that they can
- 11:06Speaker 3: find that balance, because that's what I was asking, was,
- 11:09Speaker 3: you know you're talking about urgency all week and then
- 11:12Speaker 3: you want to go out and play relaxed. I thought
- 11:14Speaker 3: he gave a great answer of you feel the urgency
- 11:16Speaker 3: and you feel the focus all week so that you
- 11:19Speaker 3: can not have to think on Sunday. They stuff to
- 11:23Speaker 3: think on Sunday at some point though, So again a
- 11:26Speaker 3: fascinating balance of how you find that calmness, that zen,
- 11:31Speaker 3: whatever it is, and I kind of tailed off the
- 11:34Speaker 3: question when I asked him, but I guess that's what
- 11:37Speaker 3: they always go through. Yeah, that's what professional athletics is,
- 11:40Speaker 3: is knowing that your job's on the line and still
- 11:43Speaker 3: being able to relax and have fun. It just feels
- 11:45Speaker 3: like particularly focused on that concept this week, and again
- 11:50Speaker 3: I can't wait to watch it on Sunday.
- 11:52Speaker 2: Done gets through this and gets this team firing. He's
- 11:55Speaker 2: got a careers, some motivational speaking.
- 11:56Speaker 4: Oh my goodness, he's already got book deals. He's already
- 11:58Speaker 4: got one book. He can get ten more.
- 12:00Speaker 1: All right, stay with us. We're gonna hear from our
- 12:01Speaker 1: Falcons insiders. We look ahead to this weekend's game against Atlanta.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Come welcome back into jags am. On this Thursday, we
- 12:10Speaker 1: get ready to go to the UK, So we're gonna
- 12:12Speaker 1: check in with our Falcons insider. Tory mclhaney is joining
- 12:16Speaker 1: us today because we're gonna talk a little bit about
- 12:18Speaker 1: the Falcons and the opponent that we're going up against,
- 12:21Speaker 1: because this is gonna be a good one. Tory, did
- 12:23Speaker 1: you pack already? Are you a late last second packer?
- 12:26Speaker 7: I just finished packing and we leave this afternoon, so
- 12:30Speaker 7: I'm proud of you.
- 12:31Speaker 3: You have her take.
- 12:32Speaker 1: I was gonna say, I already realized I forgot my toothbrush,
- 12:34Speaker 1: so I'm gonna have to make a run really quickly.
- 12:36Speaker 1: But we make this trip pretty frequently. What's the preparation
- 12:40Speaker 1: been like for the Falcons this week getting ready to go?
- 12:42Speaker 7: Well, we don't go to London as much as you
- 12:45Speaker 7: guys do, but we have been in the last two years.
- 12:48Speaker 7: We went in twenty twenty one, and so I think
- 12:50Speaker 7: it's just kind of following a lot of the similar
- 12:52Speaker 7: processes that I set up at that point. Now with
- 12:56Speaker 7: a new team, with a bunch of new guys who
- 12:58Speaker 7: weren't on this team, who were kind of making this
- 13:02Speaker 7: trip forever, either the first or second time. So there's
- 13:04Speaker 7: a little bit of everything going on.
- 13:06Speaker 1: You guys were often a really hot start, kind of
- 13:08Speaker 1: ran into the Lions dead on last week. Where's the
- 13:11Speaker 1: team at? Where's the mentality at?
- 13:14Speaker 7: Yeah, So I actually think it's pretty similar to probably
- 13:16Speaker 7: where y'all are. They're coming off of a loss that
- 13:19Speaker 7: they wanted to be better, They wanted to play better
- 13:22Speaker 7: against Detroit and they didn't, and they were shut out offensively,
- 13:26Speaker 7: and so there's almost a sense of redemption I think
- 13:28Speaker 7: on the line in London for this Atlanta Falcons team,
- 13:31Speaker 7: where they want to go out and show that the
- 13:33Speaker 7: first two games and what they were able to do
- 13:35Speaker 7: there wasn't a fluke and that the Detroit game was tory.
- 13:39Speaker 2: So much of the attention when it comes to the
- 13:41Speaker 2: Falcons is on Kyle Pitch, Bjeon Robertson, Drake London. Right,
- 13:45Speaker 2: not enough people know outside of Atlanta and maybe the
- 13:49Speaker 2: NFC South that much about Desmond Ritter. So give us
- 13:52Speaker 2: a sense of where he is in year number two
- 13:54Speaker 2: and you know where his confidence level is as a
- 13:56Speaker 2: starting quarterback of this team.
- 13:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 13:58Speaker 7: So I think with Desney Rider, he is as comfortable
- 14:02Speaker 7: and confident in the scheme as we've seen him. And
- 14:05Speaker 7: I think even after the loss, I think it was
- 14:08Speaker 7: still on some plays you see that he is really
- 14:12Speaker 7: understanding what Arthur Smith is asking of him. And I
- 14:15Speaker 7: think that that's what's gonna take time, is all of
- 14:17Speaker 7: these pieces working together. You talk about Kyle Pitch, Drake
- 14:21Speaker 7: Blend and John Robinson, Tyler, algebr Husband Ritter. These are
- 14:24Speaker 7: all guys playing together for the very first time, and
- 14:27Speaker 7: so there are some kings to work out, as we
- 14:29Speaker 7: saw against Detroit, But this is an offense that has
- 14:32Speaker 7: a lot of potential. It's just about finding ways to
- 14:35Speaker 7: get into a rhythm early.
- 14:37Speaker 3: Tory appreciate you doing this. What the concept of Arthur
- 14:44Speaker 3: Smith as a coordinator and as a play caller always
- 14:46Speaker 3: fascinates me because he's willing to run his way back
- 14:50Speaker 3: into games if he's down. There's that heavy commitment to
- 14:53Speaker 3: the run that he had in Tennessee and I sense
- 14:55Speaker 3: that with the Falcons. Do teams have a tough time
- 14:59Speaker 3: defending them because of that because his philosophy is so
- 15:02Speaker 3: much different in some situations?
- 15:05Speaker 4: Yeah, I think so.
- 15:06Speaker 7: I think what Detroit did well though, is that they
- 15:08Speaker 7: completely took away the run very early, and the Falcons
- 15:11Speaker 7: were in a lot of long first and second or
- 15:14Speaker 7: second and third downs, and so they're kind of working
- 15:17Speaker 7: behind the chains, and when you do that, you're in
- 15:19Speaker 7: obvious passing down situations, and I think that's where the
- 15:21Speaker 7: Falcons kind of got off kilter. But when the run
- 15:24Speaker 7: game is going, as we've seen even last year and
- 15:27Speaker 7: bleeding into this year, the Falcons can do some really
- 15:30Speaker 7: dangerous things. With Jean Robinson, Tyler Algier and potentially Corderrell Patterson,
- 15:35Speaker 7: who may or may not have his twenty twenty three
- 15:38Speaker 7: debut in London. We're still kind of waiting on that tory.
- 15:41Speaker 7: One more question before we get you out of here.
- 15:43Speaker 7: At the defense, you guys have so many new starters
- 15:45Speaker 7: this year, a familiar face to us, Kalays Campbell of
- 15:47Speaker 7: course joining you guys, and you guys have really committed
- 15:50Speaker 7: to that and played probably a lot better than maybe expectations.
- 15:54Speaker 7: Have you been impressed what you've seen on the defensive
- 15:55Speaker 7: side of the ball so far.
- 15:57Speaker 4: I really have been.
- 15:58Speaker 7: You can really feel the money that was pumped into
- 16:01Speaker 7: this defense with guys like Jesse Bates and Kalayis Campbell,
- 16:05Speaker 7: but Dupre, David An Yamada, Cayden Ellis. I mean that
- 16:08Speaker 7: could go on and on, Jeff Akuda, who is working
- 16:12Speaker 7: his way back into this starting lineup. So for this defense,
- 16:16Speaker 7: they are kind of firing on all cylinders right now,
- 16:19Speaker 7: even though they have some moments where you know, there's
- 16:22Speaker 7: some explosives giving up. But for the most part, this
- 16:24Speaker 7: is a defense that really turns it on, I think
- 16:26Speaker 7: when it matters most, and that's something that over the
- 16:30Speaker 7: first three games of the season that has been very
- 16:33Speaker 7: evident to me that they get better as the game
- 16:35Speaker 7: goes on.
- 16:37Speaker 4: Very good.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Should be a good one, Tory. We'll see you at
- 16:38Speaker 1: Wembley on Sunday. Thanks for joining us.
- 16:41Speaker 4: Awesome, Thanks you guys. All right, stay with us.
- 16:43Speaker 1: We'll preview our matchup coming up this week against the Falcons.
- 16:46Speaker 4: Will do he will? He won't? He might seefter the break.
- 16:56Speaker 6: I don't know all the characters necessarily and all that,
- 16:58Speaker 6: but I definitely I've watched all of them. Character it'll
- 17:03Speaker 6: be cool, it'll be interested, it'll be cool for the kids.
- 17:05Speaker 6: I think, you know, if I was a kid and
- 17:08Speaker 6: they did that for a football game, it'd be definitely
- 17:10Speaker 6: entertaining something i'd want to watch. But yeah, I don't know.
- 17:12Speaker 6: Do you guys know what.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Character I'm supposed to be? Are they have?
- 17:15Speaker 6: They said that it's just me. Okay, just in Andy's room, tryer.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Lawren's talking about that toy story broadcast that they're going
- 17:22Speaker 1: to do between the Falcons and the Jaguars. We talked
- 17:25Speaker 1: a little bit about. I'm not just entirely sure how
- 17:27Speaker 1: it works. I'd imagine if I have no idea how
- 17:29Speaker 1: it was, I'm very intrigued to see what it looks like.
- 17:31Speaker 1: I'm a fan of it. Anybody you can get more involved,
- 17:34Speaker 1: kids involved, whatever you have to do. I like the
- 17:36Speaker 1: Nickelodeon games. I think that's kind of silly. My nephews
- 17:38Speaker 1: really like that, so more power to them. Have fun
- 17:41Speaker 1: with it.
- 17:41Speaker 3: Yeah, you got to capture the young audience. And it's
- 17:44Speaker 3: not like you're going to keep watching the NFL on
- 17:47Speaker 3: that right medium to get older. But if it gets
- 17:50Speaker 3: kids fried up about it and they get interested, you know, hey, hey,
- 17:56Speaker 3: maybe Taylor Swift will do the same thing.
- 17:57Speaker 4: Oh gosh, we can't do that. We don't have time.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I'm.
- 18:01Speaker 3: Swifty all the way.
- 18:02Speaker 2: I think I canve Nahim one song. The interesting part
- 18:06Speaker 2: is is that you know, with phones and with the
- 18:10Speaker 2: Internet and everything, the kids can be distracted away from
- 18:13Speaker 2: the NFL, especially if their team isn't any good, right,
- 18:16Speaker 2: if the team that their parents follow isn't a good team.
- 18:18Speaker 2: So this is an interesting it's an innovative way to
- 18:21Speaker 2: capture that young audience and get them on football.
- 18:25Speaker 4: I love it.
- 18:25Speaker 1: Let's do it, all right, he will, he won't, he might.
- 18:27Speaker 1: This Week for Us presented by Sabeth Brian.
- 18:29Speaker 4: Who you Got This Week?
- 18:30Speaker 2: I'll go Chad Muma. He will obviously start in place
- 18:33Speaker 2: of Devin Lloyd, and he'll be just fine. I talked
- 18:35Speaker 2: to him a bit in the locker room yesterday. He's smart,
- 18:39Speaker 2: he's tough. He understands, kind of like Poulpa's Lesning, how
- 18:43Speaker 2: to overcome whatever weakness he may have. He knows how
- 18:47Speaker 2: to take his strength, which is his intellect, and apply
- 18:50Speaker 2: it to be in the right place at the right time.
- 18:52Speaker 2: So I think he will be just fine. Now, look,
- 18:54Speaker 2: he is not Devin Lloyd. He won't be your first
- 18:58Speaker 2: option to cover Kyle Pitts, as Lloyd has the height
- 19:01Speaker 2: and the length and the athleticism to be able to
- 19:04Speaker 2: do that. He won't be that guy. He may be
- 19:06Speaker 2: asked you at times, but he's not gonna be your
- 19:08Speaker 2: number one guy in coverage. That's going to be the
- 19:10Speaker 2: guy like Andre Cisco. But he might be your leading
- 19:12Speaker 2: tackler on Sunday. And I know that's normally Foye a
- 19:14Speaker 2: Lucan spot, and foy is going up against his former
- 19:18Speaker 2: team and so he's probably gonna be very motivated. But
- 19:20Speaker 2: I just think Muma is going to be that guy.
- 19:22Speaker 2: He's rangy and he's going somebody's got a spy on
- 19:25Speaker 2: Jean Robinson. Somebody's got to find him, and I just think,
- 19:27Speaker 2: you know, they're gonna ask him to do what he
- 19:29Speaker 2: does and not to be Devin Lloyd. He runs and
- 19:33Speaker 2: he tackles that. I think he might have a really
- 19:34Speaker 2: big day in terms of a number of tackles.
- 19:37Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 19:37Speaker 3: I think Mom is really good. I don't worry about
- 19:39Speaker 3: him at all, not being able to do it. The
- 19:41Speaker 3: one element he doesn't bring that Lloyd brings is just
- 19:44Speaker 3: Lloyd's sort of magnetinetic feel for the ball. So I
- 19:48Speaker 3: don't know that Mom is gonna give you like the pick,
- 19:53Speaker 3: but he's not gonna hurt you. No, And he's he's
- 19:56Speaker 3: faster than you think. Yeah. I went with Travis etn
- 19:59Speaker 3: and the second time gone with him in this. He's
- 20:02Speaker 3: been the MVP so far practice. Yeah, and he will
- 20:06Speaker 3: be good. He's he's been good every week, which leads
- 20:10Speaker 3: my quick he won't like quick transition there. You know,
- 20:15Speaker 3: this is probably more of a me thing. I keep
- 20:18Speaker 3: forgetting to sort of think about him going into the game,
- 20:22Speaker 3: and because I think I spent so much time worrying
- 20:25Speaker 3: and a lot of people have about the passing game,
- 20:27Speaker 3: et cetera, et cetera. Uh, but he might be the
- 20:31Speaker 3: best player on the team right now, the most productive player,
- 20:34Speaker 3: and moreover, he might be the key to getting this
- 20:38Speaker 3: thing going. Everybody in the pre game when you look
- 20:40Speaker 3: at the analysis gonna be talking about John Robinson about
- 20:42Speaker 3: the Falcons running game, you kind of get the feeling
- 20:46Speaker 3: they got it going a little bit early last week
- 20:47Speaker 3: to Jag if they hadn't gotten behind. I think that
- 20:50Speaker 3: was a huge game for Travis. This might be where
- 20:54Speaker 3: people watching this game come in wanting to watch John
- 20:57Speaker 3: Robinson and he's he's a wonderful player, but they might
- 21:00Speaker 3: finish the game thinking about Travis ETM.
- 21:03Speaker 1: All Right, I'm going with Evan Ingram this week because
- 21:05Speaker 1: we're dealing with the drops. We're dealing with the drop sis.
- 21:08Speaker 1: He will not disappoint because he is going to be
- 21:12Speaker 1: the leading pass catcher I think in this game against Atlanta,
- 21:15Speaker 1: and I'll crew the won't disappointed because I combine them
- 21:16Speaker 1: together because I forgot what we were doing. But if
- 21:19Speaker 1: you need someone that's gonna catch the ball, he's sure handed.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Evan Ingram had drop problems early on in his career.
- 21:23Speaker 1: He has worked past that he's now one with the
- 21:25Speaker 1: drug machine, so I think he's going to be someone
- 21:27Speaker 1: that you can focus on when you're trying to get
- 21:29Speaker 1: this offense going, and he might very well be what
- 21:32Speaker 1: you need to get this offense going, because then it
- 21:35Speaker 1: opens things up for everybody else.
- 21:36Speaker 4: And that's what it's all about. Throw to the open guy,
- 21:38Speaker 4: and is it just as simple as that, guys, just
- 21:41Speaker 4: as simple as that. Let's hope.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Yeah, let's hope.
- 21:44Speaker 1: All right, we'll be right back, we'll preview the rest
- 21:45Speaker 1: of the week. Stay with us.
- 21:54Speaker 6: I think that's the biggest thing, is when you're thinking
- 21:57Speaker 6: more than you're just reacting, it's hard to play. Actually,
- 22:00Speaker 6: at this level, it's hard to play that way. So
- 22:02Speaker 6: I think that's for all of us, you know, myself included,
- 22:04Speaker 6: is just to continue to challenge yourself to do that
- 22:07Speaker 6: and to prepare that way so when Sunday comes, you
- 22:09Speaker 6: can let it go and not think. So I think
- 22:13Speaker 6: that's kind of the challenge for us this week, and
- 22:14Speaker 6: I'm excited to see how we all respond.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Trevor Lawrence, don't think, just play. What do you guys
- 22:20Speaker 1: think we'll get out of London?
- 22:23Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 22:23Speaker 3: Won Yeah, I had a great feel for the first
- 22:28Speaker 3: game of the season. I don't have a feel for they.
- 22:33Speaker 2: I look last week, I said I thought it would
- 22:35Speaker 2: be a comfortable win over the Texans. I didn't think
- 22:38Speaker 2: that the Texans offensive line or defensive line would be
- 22:41Speaker 2: able to handle the Jaguars fronts, and they did. So
- 22:44Speaker 2: I can't legitimately sit here and say I know exactly
- 22:47Speaker 2: what we're gonna get. I do think they'll be able
- 22:49Speaker 2: to handle the adversity, and I think that we will
- 22:51Speaker 2: come out of London saying Okay, here they're back.
- 22:56Speaker 4: I hope.
- 22:56Speaker 1: So I'll do a reverse drinks and maybe that will work.
- 22:59Speaker 1: Or I'll wear mypposite outfit. We'll see what. We'll see
- 23:01Speaker 1: what works. I'm all about superstitions, whatever I have to
- 23:03Speaker 1: do to.
- 23:04Speaker 4: Pull my weight. Here, you guys, we're going to London.
- 23:06Speaker 2: We'll see We'll give it to you.
- 23:08Speaker 1: We're going to London, you guys, we'll see you later on.
- 23:10Speaker 1: All the shows will be there next week, and of
- 23:12Speaker 1: course we'll have a recap where you after the game
- 23:13Speaker 1: on Sunday.
- 23:14Speaker 4: Enjoy it. M
