[SPEAKER_08]: It's going to be a great evening.
• 1:09
[SPEAKER_08]: And those are the intros.

  [SPEAKER_08]: So Perk joined in.
• 1:15
[SPEAKER_08]: He said it's, he's had enough of Chad having all the fun and purport him a glass as well.

[SPEAKER_08]: Are you guys sitting like, is he in the living room and you're in the chair?
• 1:25
[SPEAKER_08]: Like, are you guys together?
• 1:27
[SPEAKER_03]: We're actually on different sides of the island.
• 1:31
[SPEAKER_03]: Right, we're side by side, that's what you're doing.
• 1:33
[SPEAKER_08]: It looks like you're playing a cattle shape, I think.
• 1:38
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm actually on the Italian side.
• 1:39
[SPEAKER_00]: I got my Keyonzi here.
• 1:41
[SPEAKER_00]: So, ah, great choice, great choice.
• 1:45
  [SPEAKER_08]: Very nice.
• 1:46
[SPEAKER_08]: You know, I called Perk earlier today and and he was at public.
• 1:50
[SPEAKER_00]: So I think he was actually We're traveling to the pleasure Yeah, yeah, yeah, actually see actually this key on to is from La Viva pasta shop on North North Miami Beach.
• 2:04
[SPEAKER_00]: That's where I go from my fresh pasta They had a bottle of kiyonti.
• 2:08
[SPEAKER_00]: They say it was the house favorite.
• 2:09
[SPEAKER_00]: So I got it, man.
• 2:11
  [SPEAKER_00]: I got it.
• 2:11
  [SPEAKER_00]: So it's pretty deep
• 2:12
  [SPEAKER_00]: Pretty decent.
• 2:13
[SPEAKER_06]: I still shout out right to your part.
• 2:15
  [SPEAKER_06]: Give me a one.
• 2:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm hoping somebody steps up, right?
• 2:19
  [SPEAKER_08]: We are too far.
• 2:22
  [SPEAKER_08]: We are too.
• 2:23
[SPEAKER_00]: Like the $1,000,000 we're hoping somebody steps up.
• 2:33
  [SPEAKER_08]: That's exactly right.
• 2:35
[SPEAKER_08]: That's where we're here to talk about it.
• 2:37
[SPEAKER_08]: It's 2026, my read-off, and maybe a few blasts for the past.
• 2:40
[SPEAKER_08]: So I guess the most newsworthy item that's coming up is that the Dolphins rookie camp, the first rookie mini camp, will take place on Friday, right?
• 2:53
[SPEAKER_08]: Does it start on Friday?
• 2:54
  [SPEAKER_07]: Perth, that right?
• 2:55
[SPEAKER_08]: And our friend Omar Kelly is on record as saying that looking at mini campus the biggest waste of time and it's out there of that I'm paraphrasing.
• 3:07
[SPEAKER_08]: He said that experience was the worst experience that yeah, or meaningless.
• 3:11
[SPEAKER_08]: Whatever it might be, Perk, you feel differently.
• 3:13
[SPEAKER_08]: You feel differently about looking at mini campus than your
• 3:17
[SPEAKER_08]: than your peer there in Omar Kelly.
• 3:20
[SPEAKER_00]: I do and y'all know Omar is my boy.
• 3:22
[SPEAKER_00]: We work together for six years, covering the dolphins with the sunset, but Omar can be full of shit sometimes.
• 3:29
  [SPEAKER_00]: There we go.
• 3:31
  [SPEAKER_00]: I can say that.
• 3:32
  [SPEAKER_00]: I can say that.
• 3:33
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's my boy.
• 3:35
  [SPEAKER_00]: I love it.
• 3:35
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, uh, rookie mini camp.
• 3:38
[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of these camps are about babysitting, right?
• 3:41
[SPEAKER_00]: That that players don't really need to be there.
• 3:44
  [SPEAKER_00]: That amount of time.
• 3:45
[SPEAKER_00]: However, there's always something productive players can get out of it.
• 3:49
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's, you get out of it, what you put into it.
• 3:52
[SPEAKER_00]: And so really again, you know, with me with Sully in half this year.
• 3:56
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not about the victories.
• 3:58
[SPEAKER_00]: It's making sure you have the right players.
• 4:00
[SPEAKER_00]: So there's rookie mini camp is about.
• 4:02
[SPEAKER_00]: who's going to be the first one in line, who's going to be raising his hand in the classroom, who's going to be showing those leadership qualities, who's going to be making the most of an opportunity that you could otherwise blow off.
• 4:14
[SPEAKER_00]: That's when you know you have the right guys.
• 4:17
[SPEAKER_00]: And this is all going to be a success from Sully and Half in these players.
• 4:21
[SPEAKER_00]: How they keep saying we've got guys who are chasing the carrot, the veterans who are under one year contract, the
• 4:30
[SPEAKER_00]: This rookie camp will open some eyes for Sully in half.
• 4:34
[SPEAKER_00]: It'll put some guys temporarily ahead of some other guys who once who's going to sacrifice, who's going to show that they're into it.
• 4:43
[SPEAKER_00]: It's really not about who lines up where is what do you show these coaches through your effort.
• 4:49
[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's a big part of this rookie mini camp.
• 4:52
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, you know, part, yeah, you know, first impressions are important then, right?
• 4:58
[SPEAKER_06]: They really are really, really important when it comes to stuff like that, you know, and they can go by all the stuff that, you know, these kids are great at, are paying for the interview with Combine.
• 5:08
[SPEAKER_06]: They're great at paying for Combine.
• 5:11
[SPEAKER_06]: They, you know, they, you know, they've talked to all the people around these kids and these kids say,
• 5:18
[SPEAKER_06]: College program is said, no, it's just an awful kid don't take me.
• 5:21
[SPEAKER_06]: I don't think that says no one.
• 5:23
[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I mean?
• 5:24
[SPEAKER_06]: I think that one is a good draft.
• 5:26
[SPEAKER_08]: And then we, I think it's also what you like in your college.
• 5:29
[SPEAKER_06]: If you don't choose to change that, you're right, right?
• 5:33
[SPEAKER_06]: So they, we gotta figure it out right away with these guys, man.
• 5:36
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, and so I think that you're right, man.
• 5:38
[SPEAKER_06]: I think that, you know, the little things you'll mean the most right now until we can figure out, you know, we're kind of football players that can be at this level.
• 5:46
[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, I'm excited to see what, you know, when you get that many draft picks and you get that many UDAs, UDFAs, you know, it can be interesting to see who does step up to the top, man.
• 5:57
[SPEAKER_06]: All these guys supposed to be leaders, we'll see how well they lead in this, just camp, and who takes charge, man.
• 6:03
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, who's going to sit back and let somebody else do it and who's going to take charge of certain things being like you talk about first in mind.
• 6:09
[SPEAKER_06]: first to do this, first to do that, you know, taking notes.
• 6:13
[SPEAKER_06]: Anybody falling asleep this many camp?
• 6:15
  [SPEAKER_06]: I hope not.
• 6:15
[SPEAKER_06]: That's going to be a big problem.
• 6:18
[SPEAKER_06]: We'll see where they line up, literally, and figuratively when it comes to some of the things that these guys are going to be paying a attention to of an emball right now.
• 6:27
[SPEAKER_08]: Choose, how quickly do you notice that as a player?
• 6:31
[SPEAKER_08]: So actually I have two questions for you.
• 6:32
[SPEAKER_08]: As a veteran player, obviously you wouldn't be a rookie minicamp, but once the rooks and the vets are together, how quickly do you notice the rookies that aren't timid that step up that it doesn't look too big for that?
• 6:44
[SPEAKER_08]: Like do those guys stand out?
• 6:46
[SPEAKER_08]: And is there a fine line between a guy thinking his stuff doesn't stink versus a guy just showing up and being ready to kind of take the next
• 6:56
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, here's, I mean, you know, I've got, you know, I'm gonna tease my try to tell you, I've got some things to talk about when it comes to that sort of thing.
• 7:03
  [SPEAKER_06]: I bet.
• 7:04
  [SPEAKER_06]: Same time, no.
• 7:05
  [SPEAKER_06]: Not so good.
• 7:05
[SPEAKER_06]: At the same time, at the same time, you know, these guys is this the best opportunity step up as leaders.
• 7:12
[SPEAKER_06]: Because when they get to training camp or when they get to OTS, whoever it is, there's a already established leaders on this football team.
• 7:19
[SPEAKER_06]: So it's hard to get in where you fit in as a youngster.
• 7:23
[SPEAKER_06]: But when it comes to something like this, this is the time right now to build your future as a leader on this football team.
• 7:30
  [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
• 7:30
[SPEAKER_06]: I think as a leader, you know, so I think that, you know, those guys have this opportunity because I'm sure when they get in with the veterans, they're going to be a lot less vocal in terms of, you know, things they're saying.
• 7:42
[SPEAKER_06]: And they still might jump up to the front of line.
• 7:45
[SPEAKER_06]: All I tell these guys to do is keep jumping to the front of line.
• 7:48
[SPEAKER_06]: And don't tell these veterans to slow down.
• 7:50
[SPEAKER_06]: I know that these veterans tell you to slow down, you know, relax, bro.
• 7:53
  [SPEAKER_06]: Don't do this.
• 7:54
  [SPEAKER_06]: Don't do that.
• 7:55
  [SPEAKER_06]: You know?
• 7:56
[SPEAKER_06]: Grinding's dudes out, man, make the vets work.
• 7:59
[SPEAKER_06]: Everybody on this football team is not established because this is a whole new regime.
• 8:05
[SPEAKER_06]: So they get digged up or hand when it comes to some of the stuff out there in the field that these other guys don't really have.
• 8:11
[SPEAKER_06]: And I think they take advantage of that and then carry that on to one of the other guys come in.
• 8:18
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I mean, that makes all the sense in the world.
• 8:20
[SPEAKER_08]: Do you have any memories from your rookie mini game?
• 8:24
[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, sir, but so just don't try to tell you.
• 8:26
  [SPEAKER_06]: I'm okay.
• 8:27
[SPEAKER_08]: All right, are you trying to get it my shit, man?
• 8:31
[SPEAKER_08]: Get your hands out of my pocket.
• 8:34
  [SPEAKER_08]: All right.
• 8:34
[SPEAKER_08]: I still, then I'm going to go back to Perth and you have any memory of covering since going back to this Omar thing.
• 8:41
[SPEAKER_08]: Do you have any memories of covering a rookie mini camp where somebody jumped out and you were like, oh, wow.
• 8:48
[SPEAKER_08]: Let's see if he does that.
• 8:49
[SPEAKER_08]: And then a guy just continued to be that dude and became a player.
• 8:53
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if I have any specific memories.
• 8:57
[SPEAKER_00]: I do have memories of two guys.
• 8:59
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, you're called who stuck out to me as an undrafted free agent right away.
• 9:04
[SPEAKER_00]: This was a guy who looked like he belonged on the other end of the spectrum.
• 9:08
[SPEAKER_00]: There was the Bonta Parker, right?
• 9:11
[SPEAKER_00]: They kicked Radius and all this kind of stuff and when the pants came on and the lights came on, he was never there.
• 9:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Devons say we'll go into the third quarter with one reception for 16 yards and the team is losing by 21 and then all of a sudden he ends with 7 for 89 and the team lost by 14.
• 9:29
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's a district that I have nothing to give the bottom thing, but that's the truth.
• 9:35
[SPEAKER_07]: All right, we're trying to give DVP to the fish tank man, you're killing it.
• 9:38
  [SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I'm sorry.
• 9:39
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not only like that, but that matters.
• 9:41
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, no, no, no, this is fat, right?
• 9:45
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's that line.
• 9:46
  [SPEAKER_00]: No, this is fat.
• 9:47
[SPEAKER_00]: No, this is fat, no, this is fat.
• 9:49
[SPEAKER_00]: The truth is, you're right, right, exactly.
• 9:51
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's a funny thing, though.
• 9:53
[SPEAKER_00]: I think that everything at this time of year matters.
• 9:57
[SPEAKER_00]: but nothing at this time of your matters, right?
• 10:00
[SPEAKER_00]: And so it's one of those things where like I said, you need to be first in line and the smartest kid in the classroom on the rookies, but nothing really matters until his Sundays in September and October and November.
• 10:12
[SPEAKER_00]: So it matters, but it doesn't matter, but you have to keep proving yourself
• 10:17
[SPEAKER_00]: time and time again, because every day is a new hurdle.
• 10:21
  [SPEAKER_00]: There's a new level to climb.
• 10:23
[SPEAKER_00]: And so that's why I do think Rookie Mini can't mean something, because like you said, this is your first chance to make that first impression on coaches.
• 10:31
[SPEAKER_00]: And while what you do today might not matter on December 3rd,
• 10:37
[SPEAKER_00]: It sets the stage for you to get there.
• 10:40
[SPEAKER_00]: You put a day in the bank and you keep building that way.
• 10:44
[SPEAKER_00]: And that's why I think this matters and rookie mini camp.
• 10:47
[SPEAKER_00]: So the things that you see necessarily on Friday, they're not going to matter, but they do matter greatly if that makes any sense.
• 10:57
  [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
• 10:57
  [SPEAKER_08]: Makes it.
• 10:58
  [SPEAKER_08]: All right, great.
• 10:59
  [SPEAKER_08]: You go sign juice.
• 11:00
  [SPEAKER_08]: All right, go sign.
• 11:02
[SPEAKER_08]: Is that an OK question for me to ask about messing up?
• 11:07
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, yeah, that cool makes out, you know, just, you know, keep it, you know, you're a lawyer, Chad.
• 11:13
  [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, shit.
• 11:15
[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, the less you see the better off there, you know what I mean?
• 11:19
[SPEAKER_06]: The less you say the better off, the better off, and the lawyers like Tadical try to drag more and more out of you, you know, until you eliminate yourself and thank yourself for, you know what I mean, or you, you know, you, or you left some other stuff in that was already eliminated when you guys already talked about this thing I'll be allowed in.
• 11:36
[SPEAKER_06]: So right in my line 10.
• 11:38
[SPEAKER_03]: played the fifth, played the fifth, or you know that, you know, they'll talk to anybody without me around.
• 11:43
[SPEAKER_03]: This is where we are now.
• 11:45
[SPEAKER_06]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
• 12:00
  [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, no doubt.
• 12:03
[SPEAKER_08]: All right, let me move on to the next thing then.
• 12:05
[SPEAKER_08]: I said, you know, because this isn't any good.
• 12:07
[SPEAKER_08]: Hopefully this doesn't get me in anybody's I tried to tell you all.
• 12:10
[SPEAKER_08]: So the dolphins, I mean, look, we're at the stage where there isn't typically a lot of new and good to say it.
• 12:17
[SPEAKER_08]: But the dolphins, they had roster moves.
• 12:21
[SPEAKER_08]: And the hatchet was already swinging.
• 12:23
[SPEAKER_08]: You know, seven guys, including the great table or pepper who ended.
• 12:28
[SPEAKER_08]: It's not any era, but a table of pepper, Derek McClendon was one I know, and I were talking about, you know, and a handful other guys that were waived for one reason or another.
• 12:39
[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, it's kind of early for all that to happen, but I guess they got the draft picks, and they started to realize it's certain bodies aren't necessary.
• 12:47
[SPEAKER_08]: Perk, what are your thoughts there?
• 12:49
  [SPEAKER_08]: No major news, but
• 12:51
[SPEAKER_08]: can you share with the group what you were saying to me that it that it did kind of show us a little bit of insight as to where this, you know, this do regime is at from a mindset.
• 13:03
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no major news, but you know, like we were saying that things matter, everything matters.
• 13:10
[SPEAKER_00]: And when you see guys like Derek LeClinden and Isaiah Johnson cut and you can say it for failed physical or whatever, I go back to attitude.
• 13:19
[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and you look at this house cleaning and there's not a lot of holdovers from the last regime.
• 13:25
[SPEAKER_00]: Some of it is salary, some of it is age, but a lot of it you have to think is attitude, mindset, mentality that these guys are just not what we're looking for it.
• 13:36
[SPEAKER_00]: And I thought DMACC had a good mindset and attitude.
• 13:40
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought Isaiah Johnson did.
• 13:41
  [SPEAKER_00]: He's a long cornerback.
• 13:43
[SPEAKER_00]: He was a guy who started out at an Ivy League school at Columbia.
• 13:47
[SPEAKER_00]: He plays some corner, he plays some safety.
• 13:50
  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
• 13:51
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not saying that it was mindset and mentality with these two specifically.
• 13:55
[SPEAKER_00]: But I look at this house cleaning, and I just think it's beyond talent.
• 13:59
  [SPEAKER_00]: I think it's beyond skill.
• 14:01
[SPEAKER_00]: these guys are trying to get the right players and they're remembered that that record doesn't matter this year.
• 14:07
[SPEAKER_00]: It's it's the right guys for all the right reasons and it leaves me to think that a lot of these cuts are mindset things.
• 14:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Again, I'm not saying specifically that was the case with table or pepper or with with Isaiah Johnson or with Derek McClinden, but it makes you wonder.
• 14:26
[SPEAKER_00]: They're just cutting ties with these guys and it's guys that you looked at at a time and you thought that this guy's got some potential.
• 14:34
  [SPEAKER_00]: He's young.
• 14:34
  [SPEAKER_00]: He's not expensive.
• 14:36
[SPEAKER_00]: They're cutting ties with him.
• 14:37
[SPEAKER_00]: But I think above all else, they're getting the right kind of guy in this program.
• 14:44
[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that a lot of these cuts and a lot of these roster moves are are emblematic of that.
• 14:50
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's what it.
• 14:52
[SPEAKER_00]: That's what it gets back to.
• 14:54
[SPEAKER_06]: I have a question for you real quick, how much do they know about these guys already?
• 14:58
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I get it.
• 14:59
[SPEAKER_06]: There was like Daniel's regime and all those guys.
• 15:02
  [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
• 15:02
[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, Chris Greer, but how much do they know about these guys with the limited access until they've had so far?
• 15:09
[SPEAKER_00]: juice that that's the thing I they don't know, but I think they see signs every day, right?
• 15:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you know, are you coming in earlier you stay in later you pick it up the offense or you pay an attention in class or you sit at the back of the line for everything or you bust in your butt in the weight room.
• 15:26
[SPEAKER_00]: All of these things are
• 15:28
[SPEAKER_00]: are things that new coaches look for and I think these guys Sullivan and has specifically look for.
• 15:35
  [SPEAKER_00]: It's a big priority around there.
• 15:37
[SPEAKER_00]: The mindset and mentality that add it to, you know, are you the right man for the job?
• 15:43
[SPEAKER_00]: That is a that is really a driving force behind this regime change behind this rebuild and I don't think that you can understand that and so that's why again the unbacked this rookie mini camp it matters
• 15:58
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not going to matter on November 23, but it's going to matter on May 10th and May 15th and June 2nd.
• 16:07
[SPEAKER_00]: So I hope that these rookies understand that.
• 16:11
[SPEAKER_00]: I hope they understand they've gotten opportunity.
• 16:13
[SPEAKER_00]: These dudes are certain for people.
• 16:15
[SPEAKER_00]: They don't want to look stupid.
• 16:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Sully and half don't want to look stupid.
• 16:18
[SPEAKER_00]: So if you impress them, they're not going to be stupid.
• 16:20
[SPEAKER_00]: you're going to you're going to do a lot and I can't help but think again the guys they get released for some reason you didn't impress them sufficiently.
• 16:30
  [SPEAKER_06]: Great, right?
• 16:30
  [SPEAKER_06]: And also, I mean,
• 16:32
  [SPEAKER_06]: with 13 draft picks, and I don't know how many UDFA's.
• 16:35
[SPEAKER_06]: There's probably some positions that, you know, what we're gonna give the young guys to start first, right now.
• 16:41
[SPEAKER_06]: I'll put the old and then with the new no matter what, you know, and those guys, if they want opportunity back, they probably have an opportunity back.
• 16:47
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm sure like not too many teams are knocking down doors to get those guys on their roster.
• 16:52
[SPEAKER_06]: So I think with 13 draft picks and a ton of UDFA's, I think is probably about numbers at times as well.
• 17:01
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, it's got to be and like you start doing the way that draft falls of all the sudden you have a certain amount of players in a position room that you didn't have when you signed player X and maybe we don't need this guy but going back to your point perk is that
• 17:27
[SPEAKER_08]: They know what they want and they know what they don't want and it just seems like a lot of what was here They didn't want so so that That part is pretty clear.
• 17:37
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, there there are two different philosophies one is what we're seeing now and one is what we saw for the previous Well however many years to dependent on which we're taking you on Yeah to lump together, so it is a box like don't go there
• 17:54
[SPEAKER_08]: Anybody near Jeff Haffley or C Jeff Haffley on Richard Sherman's podcast.
• 18:00
  [SPEAKER_08]: Anybody watch that?
• 18:03
  [SPEAKER_00]: Let's do it.
• 18:04
  [SPEAKER_08]: Yes.
• 18:06
[SPEAKER_00]: I've not seen it yet.
• 18:07
  [SPEAKER_00]: I know.
• 18:08
[SPEAKER_00]: I thought it was a road about it, but I haven't read seen it yet.
• 18:11
  [SPEAKER_00]: Go ahead, juice.
• 18:11
  [SPEAKER_06]: I'm sorry, Perk.
• 18:12
  [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
• 18:13
[SPEAKER_06]: I thought it was really, really good.
• 18:15
[SPEAKER_06]: And the fact that he and Richard Sherman have such a great relationship, I thought he was super open about so many different things and what he's looking for, you know, when it comes to his organization and when it comes to his football team then and yeah, there was a lot of really good stuff on that interview and and I really impressed with Richard Sherman.
• 18:34
[SPEAKER_06]: I think he was well prepared and a lot of really good questions.
• 18:36
[SPEAKER_06]: I was, you know, I mean, I thought it was for a guy.
• 18:40
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I got to get that part of it.
• 18:41
  [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I get that.
• 18:42
[SPEAKER_06]: You know what though, man?
• 18:43
[SPEAKER_06]: You're some guys that go to Stanford just to play ball.
• 18:45
[SPEAKER_06]: They're not really as well.
• 18:46
[SPEAKER_06]: I got to have this off from Stanford, too.
• 18:49
[SPEAKER_08]: And you would have been, you wouldn't have taken any joke.
• 18:51
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, you know what I mean?
• 18:52
[SPEAKER_08]: So there's certain cats that you've played with.
• 18:54
[SPEAKER_08]: And we know it no matter what at Stanford, I think we were not going to put it there.
• 18:58
  [SPEAKER_08]: OK?
• 18:59
  [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
• 19:00
[SPEAKER_06]: But yeah, I mean, you could talk a little bit more about it, man.
• 19:03
  [SPEAKER_06]: But then, you know,
• 19:05
[SPEAKER_06]: have for so good about, you know, what he wanted from the team.
• 19:10
[SPEAKER_06]: He talked about a lot of guys he's coached and how he wants to, one guy's like that on his football team and most of I was guys a potential or already Hall of Famers.
• 19:20
[SPEAKER_06]: But at the same time though, it was just a fun experience for me to hear him be so open and honest about, get about everything when it comes in this team, you know, and what he expects from this team right now.
• 19:31
  [SPEAKER_06]: I mean, he's not, he's not
• 19:35
[SPEAKER_08]: You know, I mean, that was Brian Flores, right?
• 19:38
[SPEAKER_08]: You know, like, you were, hey, I get we're not very good, but we'll fight our asses off.
• 19:43
[SPEAKER_08]: Like, coaches, any coaches worth a damn is not going out there saying, well, we don't need to win this year.
• 19:48
  [SPEAKER_06]: Right exactly right man.
• 19:50
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, why's today lower our expenses already already already low, but we sell them like, you know, we, you know, and when he says we're trying to win, we're like, oh, okay, well, we don't expect us from you, but same time, no, we know that he's going to do everything he can to make this team successful every single Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, whatever day they played a league every day a week now, they, you know,
• 20:14
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I was, I really love that interview man.
• 20:17
[SPEAKER_06]: It was a fun interview for me.
• 20:19
[SPEAKER_06]: It's really enlightening and thank, you know, I think the Travis, Travis told us to get, Travis, you know, for God, Travis told us, man, you got to check this out and it was really, it's worth a listen.
• 20:30
[SPEAKER_06]: Anybody wants to listen to about 45 minutes of really good dolphins to turn over talk.
• 20:36
[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, for him coming here and some of his past history stuff, that's a really good listen right there.
• 20:42
  [SPEAKER_06]: It's Richard Sherman.
• 20:43
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I agree with you, Drew.
• 20:44
[SPEAKER_08]: So I thought there were three things that stood out to me, because there were a lot of things that we've heard.
• 20:49
[SPEAKER_08]: We've gotten to know a lot about Jeff Haffley in a short period of time, which is what happens when you get new coaches and they jump on all the shows.
• 20:57
[SPEAKER_08]: But three things stood out to me.
• 20:58
  [SPEAKER_08]: One was indeed,
• 21:00
[SPEAKER_08]: the relationship he had with Richard Sherman.
• 21:02
[SPEAKER_08]: I feel like Richard Sherman's a guy that if he didn't like a coach, you would know he didn't like a coach.
• 21:07
[SPEAKER_08]: And these two clearly, it didn't seem like he was just kissing his ass because he wanted him on the show.
• 21:12
[SPEAKER_08]: They clearly had a strong relationship.
• 21:15
[SPEAKER_08]: And we saw that when Micah Parsons had, you know, Micah Parsons is another guy.
• 21:20
[SPEAKER_08]: He doesn't mince words, if he doesn't like you, you probably know Micah Parsons doesn't like it.
• 21:24
[SPEAKER_08]: And he had great things to say about Jeff Haffley.
• 21:27
[SPEAKER_08]: So it seems like these players certainly, and like great players hold him in high esteem.
• 21:34
[SPEAKER_08]: So that stood out to me.
• 21:35
[SPEAKER_08]: I like the question he said with 13 picks where there was there anybody that you were really surprised was available.
• 21:46
[SPEAKER_08]: Chad Manhorn, Robin, when was that thing, Chad?
• 21:49
  [SPEAKER_03]: That's a Richard Sherman actually.
• 21:51
  [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, okay.
• 21:52
  [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, okay.
• 21:53
  [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, okay.
• 21:53
  [SPEAKER_03]: Sure.
• 21:53
  [SPEAKER_03]: There you go.
• 21:54
[SPEAKER_03]: Seth, Seth, they don't, they don't all look alike.
• 21:56
  [SPEAKER_03]: So chat with that.
• 21:58
[SPEAKER_08]: That was nothing about that.
• 22:00
  [SPEAKER_02]: I've never been dead.
• 22:01
[SPEAKER_03]: Seth would not see, I could not see the, I've seen it every time they come in for Thursday night football.
• 22:10
[SPEAKER_03]: And this, this is Bistank Live only.
• 22:13
[SPEAKER_03]: We're going to talk about this.
• 22:14
[SPEAKER_03]: They go to the same restaurant.
• 22:16
  [SPEAKER_03]: in Fort Lauderdale.
• 22:17
[SPEAKER_03]: Does anybody know what restaurant that is?
• 22:19
  [SPEAKER_08]: Is it moderato, moderato?
• 22:22
  [SPEAKER_03]: Cassidy Angelou.
• 22:23
[SPEAKER_03]: And they write out that whole background.
• 22:25
  [SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
• 22:27
[SPEAKER_03]: And my wife spoke to Al Michael's for probably 10 minutes.
• 22:31
  [SPEAKER_03]: And it was incredible.
• 22:33
[SPEAKER_03]: And I got some time with with him.
• 22:36
  [SPEAKER_03]: And
• 22:37
  [SPEAKER_03]: Brilliant brilliant guys.
• 22:39
[SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, so I hope I'm not blowing up their spot, but they were all gentlemen They all took time took pictures with everybody talk with everybody But now there's gonna be a line outside the pressure I guess I'll get there is in my game shit, you know, yeah, we
• 23:00
[SPEAKER_01]: I met no disrespect by that, but yeah, that was disrespectful.
• 23:04
  [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't even think about it.
• 23:05
[SPEAKER_06]: I wasn't going to make it a big set because, you know, Mike, it was not like me right now because I busted his ass and it cornhole, the Penn State tailgate.
• 23:15
[SPEAKER_06]: I heard he bullied me, you know, he made me switch sides, me a game because he thought I had an advantage and I still busted his ass, man.
• 23:22
  [SPEAKER_06]: So good.
• 23:23
[SPEAKER_06]: And watch him make it throughout that first pitch in Japan.
• 23:29
[SPEAKER_06]: I see why I busted his ass in Corn over me can't throw enough in man.
• 23:33
[SPEAKER_06]: We're gonna talk about the leak.
• 23:34
[SPEAKER_06]: We're gonna get it too.
• 23:35
  [SPEAKER_08]: We're gonna get it
• 23:39
[SPEAKER_08]: So getting back to this interview, so that's no doubt to me, but he talked about, the question was asked about what player were you most surprised was available at a 13 draft fix and he said Jacob Rodriguez.
• 23:57
[SPEAKER_08]: He said a player of that pedigree that had the kind of season that he had the leadership qualities, the playmaking ability one of the best defense of players in college foot.
• 24:04
[SPEAKER_08]: you know, for him to still be available there.
• 24:06
[SPEAKER_08]: So, you know, and then he talked about other guys proctor and would have you.
• 24:09
[SPEAKER_08]: I thought proctor one was interesting because I, you know, I don't think anybody was surprised he was still there, but he did pump up who he thinks proctor can be.
• 24:20
[SPEAKER_08]: But that part was interesting, but what really jumped out to me,
• 24:24
[SPEAKER_08]: and we'll go back to Pittsburgh for chat on this one.
• 24:27
[SPEAKER_08]: It was, they asked him about analytics.
• 24:30
[SPEAKER_08]: And he said, look, I want to know the analytics, but I'm also going to, I'm going to make decisions based on my gut.
• 24:40
[SPEAKER_08]: And then he, you know, sometimes guys want to go for it, but then the defensive minded guy, the guy who came up under Dave Wands that at the University of Pittsburgh came out and said, hey, if we can pun it, we're going to pun it.
• 24:54
[SPEAKER_08]: And that kind of flew under the radar, but all I could hear was Dave Weinstein saying, Putna in a bad thing.
• 24:59
[SPEAKER_08]: You know what, you know what, you know what, you know what, you know what, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt, hurt,
• 25:12
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know, the Apple may not fall far from the tree on this one.
• 25:17
[SPEAKER_08]: We got used to Mike McDaniel.
• 25:18
[SPEAKER_08]: It would be 4th and 32 on your own 17.
• 25:20
[SPEAKER_08]: He would be going to go for it because he felt like, you know, we couldn't even get away from us.
• 25:25
  [SPEAKER_06]: That's that defensive, mind-it mentality man.
• 25:29
[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I mean?
• 25:30
[SPEAKER_06]: That drives me absolutely nuts.
• 25:32
[SPEAKER_06]: It's not about analytics man, but he also did say it's about the field of game Tube, but he said he'll be back up on the 30 either.
• 25:39
[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I mean?
• 25:39
[SPEAKER_06]: With the best thing with today's kicker is he was talking about where's you know, it's one first out of to gain your physical range You know, so it's like you're a lot of things there, but
• 25:48
[SPEAKER_06]: All this pun stuff man.
• 25:50
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm an office of God, big set.
• 25:53
[SPEAKER_06]: I think we go for it on 45 from our own 20, man.
• 25:56
  [SPEAKER_06]: Let's just go.
• 25:58
[SPEAKER_06]: What are we doing, man?
• 25:59
  [SPEAKER_06]: Just points.
• 26:00
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, Yeah, come on, man.
• 26:02
[SPEAKER_08]: Nothing for an internet chargers juice.
• 26:04
[SPEAKER_03]: But just you already have three down.
• 26:08
[SPEAKER_03]: You already have three downs.
• 26:09
[SPEAKER_03]: You can't get right three or three point three yards a down.
• 26:12
  [SPEAKER_03]: Like, come on.
• 26:12
[SPEAKER_06]: That's great point to have it.
• 26:15
[SPEAKER_06]: I got a great play drawn up for four to five already though.
• 26:18
[SPEAKER_06]: I've been trying to get to this situation.
• 26:20
[SPEAKER_06]: You should have used it earlier, you should have used it earlier, you should have used it earlier, you should have used it earlier, you should have used it earlier, you should have used it earlier, you should have used it earlier, you should have used it earlier, you should have used it earlier, you should have used it earlier, you should have used it earlier, you should have used it earlier, you should have used it earlier, you should have used it earlier, you should have used it earlier, you should have used it earlier, you should have used it earlier, you should have used it earlier, you should have used it earlier, you should have used it earlier, you should have used it earlier, you should have used it earlier, you should have used it earlier, you should have used it earlier, you should have used it earlier, you should have used it earlier, you should have used it earlier, you should have used it earlier, you should have used it earlier, you should have used it earlier, you should have used it earlier, you should have used it earlier
• 26:42
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's all.
• 26:44
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm with the defensive coaches.
• 26:46
  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm with flow.
• 26:48
  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm a half.
• 26:49
  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm with Mike McDonald.
• 26:50
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm with Mike Rable, although that's not popular right now.
• 26:53
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm with the defensive coaches, but I'm so I haven't seen the half interview with Richard Sermon again, like I said, David Throne has wrote about it, but
• 27:03
[SPEAKER_00]: I, I like the defensive coach mentality.
• 27:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't like what Phil Ben and Gates and Nathaniel brought from the standpoint of they all thought they recorded back whispers and I've seen this before that that you know, they thought they could turn Santa Hill into Aaron Rogers or Tom Brady.
• 27:22
[SPEAKER_00]: They thought they could turn Tua in the Patrick and the Holmes.
• 27:26
[SPEAKER_00]: I hope with Malik Willis that they
• 27:28
[SPEAKER_00]: but Seattle did with Sam Darnell and they look at what Philly has done with Jalen with Jalen Hertz and they say we're going to build a complete team.
• 27:38
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not going to be a the quarterback has to be the leader, right?
• 27:41
[SPEAKER_00]: He's the most single most important player on the team, but make us seven or eight key plays.
• 27:46
[SPEAKER_00]: Don't carry the offense every single play every single week.
• 27:51
[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to win with our edge rusters with our corner backs, with our run game,
• 27:55
[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to win every single way that we can because we have a complete team.
• 28:00
[SPEAKER_00]: I hope that's what the dolphins do with Millie Willis and I think a defensive coach is more likely to do that than an offensive coach.
• 28:07
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, that's a great point for it.
• 28:08
[SPEAKER_06]: But I'm gonna tell you this, man, you know, I'll be just messing around playing, man.
• 28:12
  [SPEAKER_06]: I don't mind it's fun to play, man.
• 28:14
[SPEAKER_06]: And make these dudes go to distance.
• 28:16
  [SPEAKER_06]: I really don't, man.
• 28:16
[SPEAKER_06]: And it's like, we give a way to many short fields.
• 28:19
[SPEAKER_06]: I've via turnover or via the stake on fourth down or whatever it might be.
• 28:24
  [SPEAKER_06]: But make teams work.
• 28:26
[SPEAKER_06]: And I think that what you got a deep mix of mine to hit coach, I think he's gonna make some teams work.
• 28:31
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, and that's always important.
• 28:33
[SPEAKER_06]: One thing you mention one person,
• 28:36
  [SPEAKER_06]: just now.
• 28:38
[SPEAKER_06]: Perk that I really wanted to talk about from that interview as well.
• 28:40
[SPEAKER_06]: Big Seth was Malik Willis.
• 28:42
[SPEAKER_06]: He got half out of chance to talk about when Malik Willis was running the scout team for the other team.
• 28:49
[SPEAKER_06]: Whatever the quarterback they were planning that set week, Malik Willis was able to mock or imitate whatever they were doing basically.
• 28:55
[SPEAKER_06]: So if you had a running quarterback, Malik Willis did that in practice as half.
• 28:59
[SPEAKER_06]: It's been a lot of time with him and prepping forward like, you know, scouting, you know, if there's a guy that's setting up in the pocket, Relic Willis did that and both of those situations he was successful a lot of times just that defense.
• 29:12
[SPEAKER_06]: So I think that's part of the reason that you see a guy that can do both.
• 29:15
[SPEAKER_06]: and we'd go out and get a guy like that.
• 29:17
[SPEAKER_06]: So when you're running scout team against my deepness at half was running, I think that was important that he saw that Malik and you know, he could sit in the pocket and sling it or if we need to run around like somebody's other quarterback still, he could say, would do that and be successful.
• 29:29
[SPEAKER_06]: And so we realized now why I have went out and got Malik and we were wondering at the beginning.
• 29:36
[SPEAKER_06]: But free H.C. started, you know, if they believe in Malik Willis, that's because, you know, they saw something that they liked from him at Green Bay.
• 29:43
[SPEAKER_06]: And now I realize that he saw a lot of things from him in Green Bay that could probably translate into, he'll be a successful boy.
• 29:49
[SPEAKER_06]: They're very few, very few quarterbacks in league that are dual threats that throw it well and run it well.
• 29:56
[SPEAKER_06]: I don't want Malik run it all the damn time.
• 29:59
  [SPEAKER_06]: I really don't.
• 30:00
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I don't want quarterback sweets.
• 30:02
[SPEAKER_06]: I don't want to eat that stuff, man.
• 30:04
[SPEAKER_06]: But he has to get out and go.
• 30:06
[SPEAKER_06]: I think we got to God that can do that.
• 30:08
[SPEAKER_06]: We haven't had that in a long time to see like so.
• 30:10
[SPEAKER_06]: But that was an important part of the interview as well, big set.
• 30:14
  [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I don't disagree.
• 30:15
[SPEAKER_08]: It definitely was and you could see how he feels about a Malik both as a player and as a person.
• 30:22
[SPEAKER_06]: So, yeah, first and that's like you were talking about Perk as a person.
• 30:26
[SPEAKER_06]: He thought that guy in a locked room, man.
• 30:28
[SPEAKER_06]: And we're talking about locker room guys.
• 30:30
[SPEAKER_08]: Perk has made him real marium, though.
• 30:31
  [SPEAKER_08]: He did say that.
• 30:32
  [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, he did.
• 30:33
  [SPEAKER_06]: I think I think I think I think Perk.
• 30:35
[SPEAKER_06]: I think Perk so it's fitting right now.
• 30:38
[SPEAKER_06]: Be set and things might start changing.
• 30:41
[SPEAKER_03]: I think he's going to get to it but to perks point though, do you think and I know we discussed this before like is this going to be a new model because it seems like Seattle's not doesn't want to pay top of the market for their Super Bowl winning quarterback.
• 31:02
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, and you think that quarter quarterbacks won't go from, you know, 50 to 60, 60 to 70, 70, 70, 80, it might come back down where they're taking less of the cap so they can have people around them because, you know,
• 31:26
  [SPEAKER_00]: I hope that's the motto.
• 31:28
[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, I'm drinking Chiante, somebody asked me for a quick drink and yeah, yeah, I'm trying to help you.
• 31:36
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I can't I hope that that's the motto.
• 31:38
[SPEAKER_00]: I really do because there aren't enough braids and my homes to go around.
• 31:42
[SPEAKER_00]: And like I say, look,
• 31:45
[SPEAKER_00]: There's a reason that Jared Gough has been to a Super Bowl and Josh Allen and the Marjacks and have not, right, that they have better team judge Jared on.
• 31:58
[SPEAKER_00]: Goff has, but you know what, and Dan Campbell, I mean, as bad a coach, you can say he is as far as, you know, not wanting to punt, bring that up in the fourth quarter, fourth down calls, they had a complete team into Troy.
• 32:12
[SPEAKER_00]: And, and you know, in LA, they had a complete team.
• 32:16
[SPEAKER_00]: Matthew Stephard got him over the top after Jared golf left, but they had a complete team.
• 32:22
  [SPEAKER_00]: And so,
• 32:24
[SPEAKER_00]: Again, go back to Malik Willis and the the defense of coach that I hope that that's the model for the dolphins.
• 32:32
[SPEAKER_00]: Shada, hope that that's the model around the league because I think that the dolphins waste it time in two.
• 32:39
[SPEAKER_00]: quarterbacks in Ryan Tana Hill and to a trying to turn them into the passing quarterback that they're not.
• 32:45
[SPEAKER_00]: And we saw when Ryan Tana Hill went to Tennessee and all he had to do was hand it off to Derek Henry and they developed a defense and they just needed Tana Hill to make a few key plays for game.
• 32:56
[SPEAKER_00]: He goes to the AFC championship.
• 32:58
[SPEAKER_00]: So I hope that team see that that should be the model that there's only a few of these quarterbacks to go around.
• 33:05
[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, look, we recognize that Patrick Mahomes is the best quarterback.
• 33:09
[SPEAKER_00]: The other two three elite quarter bets are Joe Burrow and Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson among those three.
• 33:16
[SPEAKER_00]: There's one super ball appearance, right, with Joe Burrow, and he's fed up with his team.
• 33:21
[SPEAKER_00]: He's ready to leave because they don't play any defense.
• 33:24
  [SPEAKER_00]: They don't have a complete team.
• 33:26
[SPEAKER_00]: They kind of try to build with Joe and Jamar Chase and the passing game.
• 33:31
  [SPEAKER_00]: That doesn't work.
• 33:32
[SPEAKER_00]: So I hope that team see the the Philly San Francisco Detroit Denver Model, right?
• 33:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Bow Knits probably would have been to a Super Bowl if he didn't get hurt.
• 33:42
[SPEAKER_00]: He's not going to a hollow for, well, he's young.
• 33:44
  [SPEAKER_00]: I shouldn't say that.
• 33:45
[SPEAKER_00]: But he's not in the lead quarterback.
• 33:47
[SPEAKER_00]: So I chat, I hope team see that model.
• 33:49
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, you know, let's let's let's let's let's let's pop our breaks a little bit on these teams that are doing those things with these quarterbacks that here's the thing about it.
• 33:59
[SPEAKER_06]: These quarterbacks have to go out there and make that money their first deal.
• 34:03
[SPEAKER_06]: They have to make that money their first deal.
• 34:05
  [SPEAKER_06]: And that's what they're doing.
• 34:06
[SPEAKER_06]: These teams are talking about, we got guys on rookie contracts, you got guys at or we're cast off that we're making a lot of money.
• 34:13
[SPEAKER_06]: And so they were able to build a team because they have more capital.
• 34:17
[SPEAKER_06]: They have more money to do so.
• 34:18
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, so Malik is giving us an opportunity.
• 34:21
[SPEAKER_06]: Of course, we got half our capital or salary cap is in dead money right now.
• 34:25
[SPEAKER_06]: Over half our money is there.
• 34:28
[SPEAKER_06]: But the leak is that one point is going to need a big payday.
• 34:31
[SPEAKER_06]: Tokes he hasn't had one.
• 34:32
[SPEAKER_06]: So when guys get a big payday, then they're able to do things.
• 34:36
[SPEAKER_06]: They're going to go shit, push it out five, seven, 10 years, whatever it might be.
• 34:41
[SPEAKER_06]: And you know, bring their cap by you down and have team.
• 34:44
[SPEAKER_06]: But you got to pay the paper at some point, you know, at some point.
• 34:47
[SPEAKER_06]: And that's what they make the decision to move on for somebody instead of like reciting or giving them big deals.
• 34:53
[SPEAKER_06]: If you can get a quarterback,
• 34:54
[SPEAKER_06]: We got believe for three years, right?
• 34:57
[SPEAKER_06]: We got a little time to figure out some things with some of the guys that we have.
• 35:02
[SPEAKER_06]: And if we feel like we have 13 draft picks and some more UDFAs, we got some guys that are gonna be a rookie context for a long time.
• 35:11
[SPEAKER_06]: you know, and so we can figure out how we're going to move forward that way.
• 35:15
[SPEAKER_06]: The teams who were talking about here with with Tom Brady was doing this thing everybody always talking about Tom took less money.
• 35:21
[SPEAKER_06]: He already had a gazillion dollars.
• 35:23
[SPEAKER_06]: His wife had a two two gazillion dollars.
• 35:25
[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I mean?
• 35:26
[SPEAKER_06]: When you still play a child's voice?
• 35:27
  [SPEAKER_06]: Exactly.
• 35:27
  [SPEAKER_06]: Right.
• 35:27
[SPEAKER_06]: So that's me, oh that's me, oh that's me, oh that's me, oh that's me, oh that's me, oh that's me, oh that's me, oh that's me, oh that's me, oh that's me, oh that's me, oh that's me, oh that's me, oh that's me, oh that's me, oh that's me, oh that's me, oh that's me, oh that's me, oh that's me, oh that's me, oh that's me, oh that's me, oh that's me, oh that's me, oh that's
• 35:37
[SPEAKER_06]: But anyhow, they can do that and do favors for their football team.
• 35:41
[SPEAKER_06]: Look what Russ Wilson did to the great team in Seattle, my taking all that money.
• 35:46
[SPEAKER_06]: And I'm never going to put my hand in anybody's pockets.
• 35:50
[SPEAKER_06]: But at the same time, no, what it did to his team was good.
• 35:53
[SPEAKER_06]: It really, they had to good it.
• 35:56
[SPEAKER_06]: So you can build a team when you're quarterback, which obviously I always say this, the most important position of sports, when he's making all that money, you've got to pitch corners
• 36:07
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, everywhere else that were really kill your team in NFL.
• 36:10
  [SPEAKER_06]: So I'm with you.
• 36:12
[SPEAKER_06]: If we can get Malik to play with it three years, 45, 30 guaranteed, whatever's deal is, that's a beautiful deal in the NFL.
• 36:19
  [SPEAKER_06]: That's for a starting quarterback.
• 36:21
[SPEAKER_06]: And then we can also build around that.
• 36:23
[SPEAKER_06]: We got a lot of rookie money.
• 36:24
[SPEAKER_06]: That's gonna be going on.
• 36:25
[SPEAKER_06]: We gotta get rid of our dead money next year.
• 36:27
[SPEAKER_06]: This team was making the right strides.
• 36:29
[SPEAKER_06]: They made the right decision at quarterback right now and it could be the right decision for the future.
• 36:35
[SPEAKER_00]: But that you're right, Jews, but let me say this.
• 36:37
[SPEAKER_00]: So you have a very short runway with Malik and kind of with this team on the reveal from the standpoint that if you would have gotten Kirk Cousins this year and then got a rookie quarterback next year, you have a five year runway, right?
• 36:52
[SPEAKER_00]: You have his four-year contract and the fifth year option.
• 36:56
[SPEAKER_00]: Malik is going to want his money after two years of heatball this year next year.
• 37:01
[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to want $50 million in 2028 and then you're going to have the compounding factors of okay, well in 2028.
• 37:10
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, Devon HN, your 191 pound running back is in the third year of his contract.
• 37:16
[SPEAKER_00]: and Jordan Brooks and A.R.
• 37:18
[SPEAKER_00]: and Brewer, who are 28 right now, are going to be 31.
• 37:21
[SPEAKER_00]: And so the thought really does start, you know, you do have to start winning next year.
• 37:27
[SPEAKER_00]: Not only that, we saw what Vrable did very quickly, right, in New England.
• 37:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'm not going there.
• 37:39
  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm with the team.
• 37:40
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm saying the clock is we saw what Liam Cohen did and when you're in Jacksonville, right?
• 37:45
  [SPEAKER_00]: Right.
• 37:45
[SPEAKER_00]: We see what's going on in Denver.
• 37:47
[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, you think you have a long time three or four years, but
• 37:53
[SPEAKER_00]: When you look at what other teams have done first year coaches or new coaches have done, when you look at Malik Willis and Devon H and Brooks and Brue, who are going to, you know, 30 years old, 1951 pound running back 50 million a year.
• 38:08
[SPEAKER_00]: You do have a long time for the rebuild, but you don't.
• 38:11
[SPEAKER_00]: So I think it's kind of one of those deals.
• 38:14
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, my part, don't wait.
• 38:16
  [SPEAKER_00]: Right, big set.
• 38:17
[SPEAKER_08]: No, I just want to say, I think that coaches and general managers are very good at telling you that they're in it for the long haul, that they like to create their perspective and the narrative that there is time because they want that time.
• 38:36
[SPEAKER_08]: But they have to know, these are two guys that have been around long enough to know that everybody is day to day in the national football right and it's all great right now and if it's an absolute abomination people are going to start saying you better this this better start looking like something that makes sense in a year because say whatever you want about Mike me Daniel.
• 38:55
[SPEAKER_08]: his team was pretty darn good his first year and even better his second year and then the wheels fell off but these guys it's it's smart to say the things they're saying and they should build for the long term and in general manager I think even can say that more than a head coach can because at some point when you're not winning they're going to look at the head coach first but I think we all know to your point perk that that it's not as long the runway is people think it might be
• 39:21
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, yeah, let me come back in on that big self, you know, I think this team to smart and I think Michael, you will just said the same thing, they know that there's a hell of a draft class next year quarterbacks, yeah, I mean, so no matter what we could be in the market for another quarterback, a young guy that gives us that five, four to five year window again of, you know, I mean, not having to pay a ton of money.
• 39:44
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, so I think what they've done with the Malik's deal is give us a boss so much time and then Tell about somebody other guys that we look for new deals.
• 39:53
[SPEAKER_06]: They're not getting those deals at 30 31 years old When you start bringing up young guy you bring it up up You know, when you go get a Jacob right drink ass you get some of these young guys that come in to replace some of these guys That's how this game is always work man.
• 40:06
[SPEAKER_06]: It's always worked that way when when old veterans they they got one need or have too much money
• 40:12
[SPEAKER_06]: They'll move on from, and hopefully they'll do what they said, draft, develop, and retain some of these guys that they've got, and I think that's the situation that we could have right here, where you've got these draft picks, hopefully half of them, you know, work out, grab your few of these UDFAs to work out, I think we're, I think they got a really good game plan, so that I'm saying, and it's starting with getting Molyne Willis, a really solid quarterback, nothing great yet.
• 40:39
[SPEAKER_06]: Hopefully something great, but they've got a solid quarterback, and now the rest is like taking care of the other things that are going to make us a better football team without spending a whole bunch of money on different things, and that I think that's that's critical with the, with the, the blueprint and what they put out there so far in my opinion.
• 40:56
[SPEAKER_08]: Well, we shall see, right?
• 40:57
[SPEAKER_08]: That's the great thing that's why they play the games.
• 41:00
[SPEAKER_08]: So we'll see how it plays out, but that is definitely interesting stuff and we'll see how it unfolds.
• 41:05
[SPEAKER_08]: So I was gonna shift into the Van Horn Law Group, legal zone just looking at the time.
• 41:10
[SPEAKER_08]: And I had something on the agenda that I was gonna skip over, but now that I'm reading all of these questions about Chad everything.
• 41:21
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I do important that I address this so which is very funny because you either have great here on this show or you got go here on this show There's nothing in between
• 41:36
[SPEAKER_08]: So yesterday, I think I asked, I just was curious what Dolphins Twitter, who Dolphins Twitter was listening to and their podcast listening and I kind of put that out there into the Twitter sphere and getting a lot of cool feedback and some things I expected and some new shows that I wasn't quite as familiar with and then somehow things started to as everything in Twitter things just start to fall apart, right?
• 41:59
[SPEAKER_08]: And there's, unfortunately, there's something going on now with TD, you know, there's something going on that somebody was mentioned or they weren't mentioned and one guy said stay away from this guy at all costs, but then I think it was ghost from die bar said that he felt Kyle Crabs has the best hair in all of Dolphins behind him.
• 42:23
[SPEAKER_08]: I feel like we got a couple of guys on this show that might have something to say about it.
• 42:30
[SPEAKER_08]: I want to put it out there for the chat and we can talk about it here gentlemen and then get into the legal zone.
• 42:36
[SPEAKER_08]: But who do we feel top three best hair in Miami Dolphins podcasting?
• 42:43
[SPEAKER_06]: I don't think you feel I'll go first big set and I say a callcraft two, but I did go and survive right next to that So you walk right there Yeah, and it's a life thing.
• 42:54
  [SPEAKER_06]: It's Sam Markoo.
• 42:55
  [SPEAKER_06]: I like Sam Markoo's week two.
• 42:57
[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I mean?
• 42:58
[SPEAKER_06]: And, yeah, it's this nice thing I've got the luxury locks going on right there.
• 43:04
[SPEAKER_06]: But I did a thing today with a man shake money.
• 43:06
[SPEAKER_06]: He said what's up by the way, Perk.
• 43:08
[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, yeah, money's got his hair wide open, too, man.
• 43:11
  [SPEAKER_06]: So, shakes hair.
• 43:12
[SPEAKER_06]: I think I'm just jealous and then I got, you know, just my boy and I can't say he's got nice hair because that's kind of cringe, you know what I mean?
• 43:20
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, it's kind of like, you know, you know, you don't judge me.
• 43:24
[SPEAKER_06]: I see that I see that that beans are somewhere in the rest of us by the way, you're just looking at my hair.
• 43:29
[SPEAKER_06]: Now, I don't want to add that feeling.
• 43:32
[SPEAKER_03]: It's better than when you when they're shopping, you smell my hair.
• 43:35
[SPEAKER_00]: That's weird, you know, but the botanical is all in my hair.
• 43:47
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's even worse.
• 43:49
[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, whoa, whoa, what is happening?
• 43:55
[SPEAKER_08]: There you go, there you go.
• 43:57
[SPEAKER_08]: So we're getting a lot of, we got team ball.
• 43:59
[SPEAKER_08]: We're getting a lot of votes for team ball.
• 44:01
[SPEAKER_08]: So shout out for Perk and juice.
• 44:02
[SPEAKER_08]: We're holding it down here.
• 44:03
[SPEAKER_08]: We're getting, Savak is number one from my body.
• 44:07
[SPEAKER_00]: I got to go Savak.
• 44:08
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I got to go Savak, man.
• 44:10
  [SPEAKER_00]: Look at that.
• 44:10
[SPEAKER_08]: I didn't know this guy's because I didn't study Italian in school, but Sam Marcu said that Savakia is Italian for great hair, so I think that's it.
• 44:27
[SPEAKER_08]: How are we going to leave Sam?
• 44:28
[SPEAKER_08]: Are we going to leave him on that makes sense?
• 44:30
  [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
• 44:31
  [SPEAKER_08]: I don't know what you're talking about.
• 44:33
  [SPEAKER_08]: Missionary positions.
• 44:34
  [SPEAKER_09]: Sure.
• 44:34
  [SPEAKER_09]: It's the first y'all.
• 44:36
[SPEAKER_09]: So listen to him when he talked about Subaru owners.
• 44:39
[SPEAKER_06]: OK. OK. Tell Sam what you're what you're saying, Sam.
• 44:42
[SPEAKER_06]: This is true until somebody proves the wrong.
• 44:45
[SPEAKER_08]: It's right until somebody proves it right at the same time.
• 44:49
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, it's the great Harvey Green line.
• 44:51
[SPEAKER_08]: So, hey, well, well, we'll have to see, you know, if we get any more feedback of that Twitter, but, you know, Kyle Crabs does have, he does bring it strong.
• 45:02
[SPEAKER_08]: Listen, I think Omar, I think we got to give Omar some credit.
• 45:05
[SPEAKER_08]: Omar put a lot of effort in that here.
• 45:07
  [SPEAKER_08]: They're not extensions.
• 45:08
  [SPEAKER_08]: Are they perking?
• 45:09
[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, no, that's real.
• 45:11
  [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah, that's real.
• 45:12
[SPEAKER_00]: I hope so, I hope so, yeah, so that's all Jamaican right there, all Jamaicans.
• 45:18
  [SPEAKER_08]: There it is.
• 45:19
  [SPEAKER_00]: All right.
• 45:20
  [SPEAKER_08]: Well, there you go.
• 45:20
[SPEAKER_08]: I had to bring that one up.
• 45:22
[SPEAKER_08]: We will get an eye try to tell y'all just a moment, but the van horn, log root, legal zone is next.
• 45:28
[SPEAKER_08]: And please put your questions in the chat, Sam, you're here, so we need a question.
• 45:33
[SPEAKER_08]: But I have to ask you, there is some news, I guess it's kind of NFL, NHL, N-I-L, College Football News.
• 45:40
[SPEAKER_08]: So Shiloh Sanders is in the news with a bank-or-up-sea issue, Chad.
• 45:45
[SPEAKER_08]: Can you talk about that a little bit?
• 45:47
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and I think it caught some more news because I guess he tried out for some teams and didn't catch on anywhere, and there's a debt that he owes from something that happened in college.
• 46:00
[SPEAKER_03]: And he went into bankruptcy to discharge that debt, but there's an argument over he had this NIL deal with with companies and and obviously.
• 46:11
[SPEAKER_03]: This is a brand new issue that has never been in bankruptcy court before and then he throw the Sanders thing on top of it, he's going to get, it's going to get national attention, you know, it's a terrible situation, especially for the young man.
• 46:25
[SPEAKER_03]: He actually doesn't own many assets, but there is this one asset of the NIL money, the contract that the money was coming into.
• 46:34
[SPEAKER_03]: whether it was disclosed or not, if it wasn't disclosed, then he can lose his discharge meaning that debt will stick with him until it's either paid or settled.
• 46:44
  [SPEAKER_03]: So it's a little bit of a mess.
• 46:45
[SPEAKER_03]: And it's a cautionary tale of bankruptcy is definitely not one of those things that you just take lightly and jump into and think it's an easy, especially when you have a spotlight on you like he does, whether that's fair or not, obviously he's had some advantages and obviously this
• 47:04
[SPEAKER_03]: of having that last name and having that heritage where you're going to have a spotlight on you whenever, when anything negative occurs.
• 47:13
[SPEAKER_03]: Hopefully, an agreement, most situations like this end in an agreement where the creditors want some money and the debtor of the person going
• 47:30
[SPEAKER_03]: It works us out, and then this can move on, but it's an ugly situation right now.
• 47:35
[SPEAKER_08]: And Chad, what is the piece about wanting to restrict evidence?
• 47:40
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm trying to understand, so are there other things out there that they don't want out there?
• 47:46
[SPEAKER_08]: I mean, I'm just trying to understand what that's all about.
• 47:50
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, so in bankruptcy it is the worst place to hide like if you're if you're doing bad things don't go in a bankruptcy because they're literally allowed to look through all of your financial records for years and years and years.
• 48:03
[SPEAKER_03]: They're they're every contract that you've entered into every entity that you worked with.
• 48:08
[SPEAKER_03]: and what they're trying to do is restrict the discovery if you will to these different entities that had NIL deals supposedly with Shialis Sanders.
• 48:20
[SPEAKER_03]: And I don't think they will be successful because bankruptcy is one of those things that
• 48:24
[SPEAKER_03]: Once you go into it, you're agreeing to the terms that I'm going to put everything out there on the table, and I just want my discharge at the end of the day.
• 48:33
[SPEAKER_03]: So if there's any assets here that you can collect against take them, but I want to be done with this.
• 48:37
[SPEAKER_03]: So that's the issue that they're dealing with right now is you go into bankruptcy.
• 48:42
[SPEAKER_03]: And that's the other thing that people don't realize.
• 48:43
[SPEAKER_03]: Once you're in a chapter seven bankruptcy specifically, you can't just say, you know what I'm done with this.
• 48:49
  [SPEAKER_03]: I don't like this anymore.
• 48:50
  [SPEAKER_03]: I'm out.
• 48:51
[SPEAKER_03]: uh... you're in until the court says you're done and uh... so it it can be a very dangerous place to be especially if uh... if you're not uh... disclosing all of your assets you know what's crazy to me chat is this like this and i helped up man it's this kind of crazy to me because honestly i had a hundred dollar limit on my m b and a
• 49:15
[SPEAKER_06]: credit card that dumped up to $500, you know, I mean, you know, that's all, that's all I had going on, man, but these guys, what are they doing if you've got this in I owe money, everything is those pay for school, you know, every housing, everything is, I think how do you get into debt like that?
• 49:34
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, you had to file bankrupt this year for the age, man.
• 49:37
  [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
• 49:37
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, from what I understand, this was a personal injury tight lawsuit where there was a fight.
• 49:40
[SPEAKER_03]: There were some other stuff.
• 49:42
  [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
• 49:42
  [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that's, that
• 49:54
[SPEAKER_03]: for a correct and 50 sand had had something very different but it was a video that he released and didn't have the race and that's what led to his bankruptcy so so there it usually comes from litigation in situations like this over and then you lose instead of just the credit card
• 50:17
  [SPEAKER_03]: situation.
• 50:19
[SPEAKER_03]: And unfortunately, with cases like this, it's usually very personal.
• 50:23
[SPEAKER_03]: So you can't just settle it.
• 50:26
[SPEAKER_03]: If it were a bank of America or American Express, or they're just looking at numbers, this is personal because it's been years and there's a lot of emotion involved.
• 50:37
  [SPEAKER_08]: Wow, great stuff.
• 50:38
[SPEAKER_08]: So, one other question we're going to roll into.
• 50:40
[SPEAKER_08]: I tried to tell you all, but there's a question in the chat.
• 50:42
[SPEAKER_08]: Shockingly, it's from Sam Markoo, our good friend, Sam Markoo.
• 50:46
[SPEAKER_08]: He has made some with playing first base at practice and feeling the ball.
• 50:49
[SPEAKER_08]: And through it at the runner and hit him in the head.
• 50:51
[SPEAKER_08]: The runner said he's going to sue Sam wants to know if he's doing it.
• 50:58
  [SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely.
• 50:58
[SPEAKER_02]: If you raise little assholes and it comes damage, you can get some for it.
• 51:04
[SPEAKER_02]: Four out of five times, four out of five times, four out of five times.
• 51:13
[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to lose, so stop raising little assholes.
• 51:17
[SPEAKER_02]: Don't stop on baseballs and creating intentional thoughts, because your ass is going to get sued.
• 51:23
[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm definitely charging you double when you come in.
• 51:28
  [SPEAKER_08]: So, here we go.
• 51:29
  [SPEAKER_08]: Oh.
• 51:30
  [SPEAKER_08]: Now, too good.
• 51:31
[SPEAKER_08]: Well, that was an epic.
• 51:33
[SPEAKER_08]: I thought the original would save you.
• 51:35
[SPEAKER_08]: Unfortunately, Sam, it doesn't look like it will.
• 51:37
[SPEAKER_08]: That was an epic, ban-horror log group.
• 51:39
  [SPEAKER_08]: We go zone.
• 51:39
[SPEAKER_08]: We're going to roll in.
• 51:40
[SPEAKER_08]: I try to tell y'all so we can get everything in in time here.
• 51:43
[SPEAKER_08]: And as always, I try to tell y'all is kicked off by the one and only O.J.
• 51:48
  [SPEAKER_08]: McDonffy.
• 51:49
  [SPEAKER_08]: Juice.
• 51:50
[SPEAKER_08]: What'd you try to tell us?
• 51:51
[SPEAKER_06]: All right, y'all, I tried to tell y'all that shit was way different in 1993 when I had to attend mini camp compared to today's rookie mini camp up for starters, we came in right after the draft my first trip to South Florida came with lost luggage by a now this pump airline U.S. air.
• 52:21
[SPEAKER_06]: No one knew that I had no loogas.
• 52:24
[SPEAKER_06]: So if it's a had no loogas, the great man in former head of security stew, wine's dean, each two of men's clothing store, where I rent a tuxedo.
• 52:38
  [SPEAKER_06]: That's so good.
• 52:40
  [SPEAKER_00]: That's so good.
• 52:41
  [UNKNOWN]: Tuxedo.
• 52:42
[SPEAKER_06]: It was hot as hell, and I took this picture on the beach.
• 52:46
[SPEAKER_06]: This crazy cover to Dolphin Judd, digested, as you just saw a few weeks later.
• 52:51
[SPEAKER_06]: Needless to say, I was overdressed for the end of it, a great person pressing on my teammates, though.
• 52:58
[SPEAKER_06]: The next day, however, was the start of many camp.
• 53:01
[SPEAKER_06]: Walking to a locker room with new teammates that you used and mad just a week ago in your college apartment.
• 53:09
[SPEAKER_06]: These are grown as men's solace and superstars, marino, fire, in-groom, keeps Jackson, keep fires, Marco Coleman, Troy Vincent, I can go on and on, you know what I mean?
• 53:20
[SPEAKER_06]: But I had to go write the practice against these guys.
• 53:23
[SPEAKER_06]: I had to go write the practice against Troy, I had to go write the practice against J.B. Brown, which were two great corners back in the day.
• 53:29
[SPEAKER_06]: And then I mentioned again, it was how to tell out there.
• 53:33
[SPEAKER_06]: So we were also at St. Thomas University.
• 53:36
[SPEAKER_06]: Fans were present right on top of you.
• 53:38
[SPEAKER_06]: and they were vicious, big Seth knows that, they were vicious, they didn't give you a break.
• 53:43
[SPEAKER_06]: That's the young rookie that was drafted in the first round.
• 53:46
[SPEAKER_06]: So you talk about pressure.
• 53:47
[SPEAKER_06]: So this rookie, rookie, many camp coming up, you know, it'll be a breeze.
• 53:52
[SPEAKER_06]: A warm breeze was still a breeze.
• 53:54
[SPEAKER_06]: Nobody facing dudes like them, you know, deer and headlights.
• 53:58
[SPEAKER_06]: But no drone ass established cats opposite them like I had to go again.
• 54:04
[SPEAKER_06]: Plus I don't care if you guys played it Alabama Texas Texas tech San Diego state It's gonna be like I said before how did sit out there?
• 54:14
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, and we are right next to the sun here.
• 54:17
[SPEAKER_06]: I lost 10 pounds my first mini camp
• 54:20
[SPEAKER_06]: And I was in the best shape my life.
• 54:22
[SPEAKER_06]: So I encourage these rookie class to go out there and enjoy this weekend before the games come in.
• 54:29
  [SPEAKER_06]: That's right.
• 54:29
[SPEAKER_06]: The grown past men because it's going to get really real then.
• 54:33
[SPEAKER_06]: I try to tell you.
• 54:36
  [SPEAKER_08]: Very nice, very nice.
• 54:38
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm glad I didn't mess that up too bad at the top.
• 54:41
  [SPEAKER_08]: I'm glad I didn't ask you that.
• 54:44
[SPEAKER_08]: Man, I love that dolphin die just cover.
• 54:46
[SPEAKER_08]: I got a track of the amount of me holding up that cover.
• 54:50
[SPEAKER_08]: I've got a great video of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of, of,
• 55:02
[SPEAKER_09]: I hope they don't rehash too much here, but let's give it a shot.
• 55:09
[SPEAKER_09]: So I tried to tell y'all, grab a book, maybe a snack, and cancel your plans because this rebuild is going to take a minute.
• 55:19
[SPEAKER_09]: So everybody knows King of the Hill, right?
• 55:22
  [SPEAKER_09]: I love it.
• 55:23
[SPEAKER_09]: Especially Hank Hill, you know, I've always said for years like that is basically black Hank Hill, similar hatch and maybe not for pro-fane, but emotionally it could, but Hank gets proud for being a little square.
• 55:40
[SPEAKER_09]: This is a man who once got hyped because the sport was about the fundamentals.
• 55:45
[SPEAKER_09]: That's an entire lifestyle and honestly Hank might have been on to something because right now we're seeing from what we're seeing from Celia and half is a full-on fundamentals era.
• 56:00
[SPEAKER_09]: This team will not be built overnight right now it's kind of IKEA football slow confusing and while we're not entirely sure where they go we're fairly certain we're missing a few key pieces.
• 56:12
[SPEAKER_09]: And look, if you've ever seen the movie uptown girls, yeah, starring Brittany Murphy and Dakota Fanning, did you all ready?
• 56:20
  [SPEAKER_09]: No.
• 56:21
[SPEAKER_09]: Fundamentals are the build-in-blocks of fun.
• 56:25
[SPEAKER_09]: And that's why we're not having fun right now.
• 56:30
[SPEAKER_09]: My wife asked me if I was excited about the dolphins, and I told her long-term, sure.
• 56:39
  [SPEAKER_09]: Short-term, not so much.
• 56:42
[SPEAKER_09]: But let's be honest, this season has character-building year-written all over it, and in sports, character-building is just a polite way of saying, you're gonna suck, but you'll grow.
• 56:54
[SPEAKER_09]: And we've been here for you guys, remember, built patients and also eye twitches and ulcers, which brings me to our new quarterbacks first pitch at the Marlin thing.
• 57:08
[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, if you haven't seen it, it was less strike shown and more active investigation for those of y'all that missed it.
• 57:22
[SPEAKER_09]: It was 90 bucks an hour ago, oh yeah, that now to be fair this is a complete side quest It has zero impact on the season dolphins are not missing the playoffs because of a ceremonial first pitch.
• 57:44
[SPEAKER_09]: That over the case half the league would be rebuilding annually.
• 57:47
[SPEAKER_09]: but it does make you think.
• 57:49
[SPEAKER_09]: Now Malik got signed off of flashes in green bay.
• 57:53
[SPEAKER_09]: Cool, much respect, I love that for him.
• 57:57
[SPEAKER_09]: But Miami ain't green bay.
• 57:59
[SPEAKER_09]: We don't have their roster.
• 58:01
[SPEAKER_09]: We don't have their protection.
• 58:02
[SPEAKER_09]: We don't have their weapons.
• 58:04
[SPEAKER_09]: We may have drafted some, but rookies aren't exactly known for walking in like the Don't worry guys, I got this.
• 58:12
[SPEAKER_09]: and Bobby Slowick could be great, could be, but the jury's still out.
• 58:17
[SPEAKER_09]: And remember there was quite a case to be made against him based on last year.
• 58:21
[SPEAKER_09]: The important part is he's not Matt LaFluer.
• 58:24
[SPEAKER_09]: And say what you want about LaFluer, debate him all day, but when it comes to quarterbacks, that man is a net positive.
• 58:32
[SPEAKER_09]: he helped maximize Aaron Rodgers.
• 58:34
[SPEAKER_09]: In fact, was responsible for two of his four MVP campaigns.
• 58:39
[SPEAKER_09]: Turn Jordan love into a Pro Bowl caliber quarterback and I mean the old school Pro Bowl not the yashone up.
• 58:45
  [SPEAKER_09]: Here's your jersey version.
• 58:47
[SPEAKER_09]: and somehow he got legit production out of Malik last year.
• 58:51
  [SPEAKER_09]: And that's not a coincidence, that's environment.
• 58:54
[SPEAKER_09]: And this is a different environment.
• 58:57
[SPEAKER_09]: So expecting Malik to come out looking like last season, that's like expecting your vacation body to show up after one salad.
• 59:04
  [SPEAKER_09]: It's not realistic.
• 59:07
  [SPEAKER_09]: The team is healing.
• 59:09
  [SPEAKER_09]: Slowly, painfully, undimentally.
• 59:13
[SPEAKER_09]: So yeah grab that drink get comfy and maybe start that novel you've been putting off Might have some fun moments, but it's gonna be a long ride, and I tried to tell you Savacca calling a Debbie downer in the chat.
• 59:32
[SPEAKER_09]: That's all I guess somebody has to be
• 59:37
[SPEAKER_08]: Well done, very well done.
• 59:40
[SPEAKER_08]: Chad, did you try to tell us anything or did you just tell us everything in the legal zone?
• 59:46
  [SPEAKER_03]: I got a quick one.
• 59:47
[SPEAKER_03]: So I just got to give a shout out to Spirit Airlines South Florida that's closing down.
• 59:53
[SPEAKER_03]: Look, I enjoyed, I try to tell you all, I enjoyed Spirit Airlines.
• 59:58
[SPEAKER_03]: They got me to a lot of places.
• 1:00:00
[SPEAKER_03]: They told me to Nick a roguer for a dollar.
• 1:00:02
[SPEAKER_03]: And that doesn't happen and unfortunately, there are thousands and thousands of self-floor employees that have lost their job.
• 1:00:17
[SPEAKER_03]: And that's the real thing that's going on.
• 1:00:19
[SPEAKER_03]: So look out for your neighbor if you're hiring, reach out to these student employees because say what you want about spirit airlines.
• 1:00:30
[SPEAKER_03]: They dealt with your bullshit.
• 1:00:32
[SPEAKER_03]: They got you where you needed to go.
• 1:00:33
[SPEAKER_03]: And right now, they need the help from South Florida.
• 1:00:37
[SPEAKER_03]: So I try to tell y'all, look out for your neighbor.
• 1:00:41
[SPEAKER_03]: The spirit airline employees are looking for opportunities.
• 1:00:44
[SPEAKER_03]: So make sure you reach out.
• 1:00:46
  [SPEAKER_06]: That's dope.
• 1:00:46
  [SPEAKER_06]: That's dope.
• 1:00:47
  [SPEAKER_06]: That's dope.
• 1:00:48
  [SPEAKER_06]: It's dope.
• 1:00:50
  [SPEAKER_06]: It's dope.
• 1:00:51
  [SPEAKER_06]: It's dope.
• 1:00:51
  [SPEAKER_06]: It's dope.
• 1:00:52
[SPEAKER_06]: But get robbed by him.
• 1:00:53
[SPEAKER_06]: One of the two, now I'm spending a lot of time.
• 1:00:56
[SPEAKER_08]: Hey, you know, I bet a dollar, but you should see what his luggage bill was.
• 1:01:00
  [SPEAKER_07]: Right.
• 1:01:01
  [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, right.
• 1:01:02
  [SPEAKER_07]: Check that out.
• 1:01:03
[SPEAKER_08]: No, I just want to see that with two carry on.
• 1:01:07
  [SPEAKER_08]: So, hi, Perk.
• 1:01:07
[SPEAKER_08]: What did you try to tell us?
• 1:01:10
  [SPEAKER_00]: All right.
• 1:01:11
[SPEAKER_00]: I tried to tell you that Steve Ross wants to win with the dolphins.
• 1:01:17
[SPEAKER_00]: And I bring this up.
• 1:01:20
[SPEAKER_00]: on the heels of the story that the dolphins are no longer eligible to host a superbowl.
• 1:01:26
[SPEAKER_00]: They are out of the rotation according to Daniel Silman the dolphins executive because they have too many structures on the hard rock campus due to F1 and tennis.
• 1:01:38
[SPEAKER_00]: Therefore, they cannot host enough superbowl hospitality events.
• 1:01:42
[SPEAKER_00]: Now, fans are using this to say Steve Ross cares more about Sinus and F1 than he does about the dolphins.
• 1:01:51
  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that's true.
• 1:01:52
[SPEAKER_00]: I think Steve Ross really wants to win with the Miami Dolphins.
• 1:01:57
[SPEAKER_00]: He just hasn't found the way to do it.
• 1:02:00
[SPEAKER_00]: This year, Steve Ross has gone differently, right?
• 1:02:03
[SPEAKER_00]: And I've said this before that when he first got in, he listened to Carl Peterson, the former,
• 1:02:09
[SPEAKER_00]: Kansas City Chief President and GM.
• 1:02:11
[SPEAKER_00]: He listened to a football insider that didn't work.
• 1:02:14
[SPEAKER_00]: So then he goes to the football people, right?
• 1:02:17
[SPEAKER_00]: Jeff Fireland, Dennis Hickey, Mike Tannenbaum, Chris Greer, that didn't work.
• 1:02:22
[SPEAKER_00]: Now he's kind of gone to some football outsiders in Troy, Ackman, and Daniel Sillman, his son-in-law Sillman, who is also an executive with the relevant sports group which Steve Ross owns.
• 1:02:34
[SPEAKER_00]: Steve Ross has made some big moves here.
• 1:02:37
[SPEAKER_00]: He's understood that what he was doing was not working.
• 1:02:41
[SPEAKER_00]: He does want to win with the dolphins.
• 1:02:45
[SPEAKER_00]: Now look, I will say this.
• 1:02:47
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a very bad look for Steve Ross to have lost these super bowls due to F1 and tennis structures on the hard rock campus.
• 1:02:56
[SPEAKER_00]: because it does feed and do that image that he cares more about sinness and F1 than he does about the dolphins.
• 1:03:03
[SPEAKER_00]: And I wrote today the only reason that Steve, the only way Steve Ross can combat that is to win with the dolphins.
• 1:03:11
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't hear what he does with F1 or with tennis.
• 1:03:15
[SPEAKER_00]: Dolphins fans are always going to think that those are his new favorite children who
• 1:03:20
[SPEAKER_00]: And so he wins with the Dolphins.
• 1:03:22
[SPEAKER_00]: So fairly, where not Steve Ross has an image problem, but I do believe that Steve Ross wants to win with the Dolphins.
• 1:03:31
[SPEAKER_00]: And I'll add one more thing.
• 1:03:32
[SPEAKER_00]: The Dave High wrote a short story today about the Dolphins for the first time ever offering single-game tickets.
• 1:03:41
[SPEAKER_00]: to fans before the schedule is even released.
• 1:03:44
[SPEAKER_00]: So you don't know when the buffalo home game is going to be, but you can buy a ticket for it.
• 1:03:51
[SPEAKER_00]: That tells me things might not be going well for Steve Ross as far as season ticket sales and the faith that the dolphins have in him.
• 1:04:00
[SPEAKER_00]: And again, when you have that on top of the news that you can't hold super balls, that's the fat-received loss.
• 1:04:07
[SPEAKER_00]: It's an image problem, but I don't think hosting Supervoles have anything to do with Steve Ross's desire to win with the Miami Dolphins.
• 1:04:17
[SPEAKER_00]: He's committed to winning with the Dolphins, but he's got an image problem, and until he wins with the image problem, he until he wins with the Dolphins, people are going to think that he cares more about F1 and tennis than he does about the Dolphins, but Steve Ross does want to win with the Dolphins.
• 1:04:35
[SPEAKER_00]: I try to tell you now.
• 1:04:37
  [SPEAKER_08]: All right.
• 1:04:38
  [SPEAKER_08]: Nice work there, Perk.
• 1:04:39
[SPEAKER_08]: So come up, instead, out to me.
• 1:04:43
[SPEAKER_08]: Perk has been masterful at promoting the Sun Sentinel today.
• 1:04:47
[SPEAKER_08]: All the step bonus, wrote about the halfway interview.
• 1:04:51
[SPEAKER_08]: He just told us to go over the day to Dave Hyde article.
• 1:04:55
[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, very, very nice work there for sure.
• 1:04:59
[SPEAKER_08]: So, and let's clip this Savak and send it to the Dolphins Communications Department, it'll get Perk, it's a bonus points for, say, it's the nice things about the process.
• 1:05:08
[SPEAKER_00]: They're not happy with me right now.
• 1:05:09
[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to ask you a question for Perk.
• 1:05:12
[SPEAKER_06]: Let me ask you this, though, Perk.
• 1:05:13
[SPEAKER_06]: Let me ask you this, Perk.
• 1:05:14
[SPEAKER_06]: Be in off the rotation, though.
• 1:05:17
[SPEAKER_06]: No, don't the dolphins, don't, don't this F1 brings a suit go every year for the next year.
• 1:05:23
[SPEAKER_06]: You know what, no, I don't think about that.
• 1:05:26
[SPEAKER_06]: You think about that, like that's like 30 years down the road.
• 1:05:30
[SPEAKER_06]: If you get six more years of a suit bulb, you're in a rotation of four to five years.
• 1:05:34
[SPEAKER_06]: You got six of them coming up right now.
• 1:05:37
[SPEAKER_00]: Yep, and that's what tennis A and F1 it is right that's that's what Dave Hi, my colleague from Oton the Sun Sentinel.
• 1:05:45
[SPEAKER_00]: He framed it as would you like to have a Super Bowl every seven years or tennis and F1 every single year right
• 1:05:52
[SPEAKER_08]: I would frame it as, would you like to have a Super Bowl every seven to ten years or just win a frigging playoff game once in 25?
• 1:06:01
[SPEAKER_08]: So that's, you know, like, let's get to a suit.
• 1:06:03
[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know how to play it anymore.
• 1:06:05
[SPEAKER_08]: Then host a Super Bowl.
• 1:06:07
  [SPEAKER_06]: I'm with you.
• 1:06:08
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm with you on that.
• 1:06:09
  [SPEAKER_06]: Yes, I'm with you.
• 1:06:11
[SPEAKER_06]: I want to plan an out here.
• 1:06:12
  [SPEAKER_06]: I'll give a man where it's at.
• 1:06:13
[SPEAKER_06]: It can be a bomb.
• 1:06:14
[SPEAKER_06]: I just want to be in one.
• 1:06:15
  [SPEAKER_06]: You go to me.
• 1:06:16
  [SPEAKER_06]: The Gwom Bombers, baby.
• 1:06:19
[SPEAKER_08]: Well listen, I caught holy hell all the top of this show for getting in the juices I tried to tell you all it's about to stole my and it's not a counter part
• 1:06:39
[SPEAKER_08]: But fellas, I tried to tell y'all that I don't give a damn about Malik Willis's parent pitch.
• 1:06:46
[SPEAKER_08]: And I understand why all the fans faithful shared a collective gas when Willis is pitched to open a recent Marlin's game was just a bit outside.
• 1:06:55
[SPEAKER_08]: It was ugly, particularly when you consider that the man is being paid millions of dollars to, you know, throw a ball.
• 1:07:03
[SPEAKER_08]: But let's have a little perspective here, okay, because just because that damn the man marino would have fired that thing right over the middle of the plate doesn't mean that an NFL quarterback and a major league pitcher share the same skill set all of the time.
• 1:07:19
[SPEAKER_08]: And the day since Malik's misfire, we've been reminded that Joe Burrow looked more like McCulley colk in the mannequin skywalker at fanatics fair.
• 1:07:29
[SPEAKER_08]: On Brady and Patrick Mahomes looked human and their first pitch endeavors, right?
• 1:07:34
[SPEAKER_08]: So just because Malik reminded us of Ricky Wild thing Vaughn doesn't mean that he won't be a good NFL quarterback.
• 1:07:42
[SPEAKER_08]: And let's also have some perspective, and that the last five or six years, we had one of the most historically accurate passers in the national football league with two a tongue of Iowa.
• 1:07:56
[SPEAKER_08]: You can go look at what those completion percentages are.
• 1:07:59
[SPEAKER_08]: All anybody ever talked about was two as accuracy, and now we're paying them a hundred million dollars to play for the Atlanta Falcons.
• 1:08:06
[SPEAKER_08]: So, I don't think we need to get caught up in,
• 1:08:10
[SPEAKER_08]: Malik Willis looking a little bit like Jim Drucken Miller when he threw that ball and, you know, everybody ducked like that.
• 1:08:17
[SPEAKER_08]: Did you guys see what happened with that monster truck thing the other day where they're fricking a baby.
• 1:08:21
[SPEAKER_08]: He goes off to the side.

[SPEAKER_08]: You know, that's what the crowd looked like behind that net there after that.
• 1:08:27
[SPEAKER_08]: But go look at the dolphins, you know, Instagram account and look at Malik Willis work there.
• 1:08:33
[SPEAKER_08]: Look at when he's throwing to moving targets, guys who need to catch the football and see if you like the way it looks there.
• 1:08:39
[SPEAKER_08]: And I think we're going to be pleased with how it looks.
• 1:08:42
[SPEAKER_08]: I'm not saying all of the sudden,
• 1:08:43
[SPEAKER_08]: that the guy is going to be Patrick Mahomes, but I think we're going to be pleased with what it looks like when we see it when it matters most.
• 1:08:51
[SPEAKER_08]: So don't get caught up in the pitches and hopefully we don't see too many more of those pit, and I said pitches with a P, don't get caught up in the pitches.
• 1:09:00
  [SPEAKER_08]: Thank you, Savak.
• 1:09:01

  [SPEAKER_07]: What's that?
• 1:09:10
[SPEAKER_08]: How did he get caught up in that pitch?
• 1:09:12
[SPEAKER_08]: And let's just pause for a poise.
• 1:09:14
[SPEAKER_08]: He cut it down the Fernando Mendoza.
• 1:09:16
[SPEAKER_08]: And look, give that guy a lot of credit.
• 1:09:18
[SPEAKER_08]: Everyone gave him a hard time.
• 1:09:19
[SPEAKER_08]: He just lobbed that thing.
• 1:09:20
[SPEAKER_08]: He saved himself the embarrassment of what Malik Will is who went for it all.
• 1:09:25
[SPEAKER_08]: But I like the guts.
• 1:09:26
  [SPEAKER_08]: I like it.
• 1:09:27
[SPEAKER_08]: And that's the guy I want to have the ball in the fourth quarter, because he's not afraid.
• 1:09:32
  [SPEAKER_08]: I tried to tell y'all, I don't give a damn about how he throws a baseball.
• 1:09:36
[SPEAKER_08]: Let's see the man throw a football.
• 1:09:39
  [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, big set.
• 1:09:40
  [SPEAKER_06]: I like that.
• 1:09:40
[SPEAKER_06]: It looks like he was throwing the, look like he was throwing the fade right there to a 6-3 receiver finally.
• 1:09:45
[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I mean?
• 1:09:46
[SPEAKER_09]: That's the worst for me, man.
• 1:09:48
[SPEAKER_09]: He's not the end zone.
• 1:09:50
  [SPEAKER_09]: That's attached down.
• 1:09:51

[SPEAKER_00]: I just want to clear it.
• 1:10:03
[SPEAKER_03]: You say it real quick, I threw a first page and I had a better one, and Juuss was there for that.
