- 2:17Speaker 3: All right, so let's get into some of the LSU discussion.
- 2:22Speaker 3: And look, we went over the old Miss game in
- 2:25Speaker 3: linked probably two and a half hours yesterday, but kind
- 2:29Speaker 3: of going back and still watching a little bit of
- 2:31Speaker 3: tape on this team, you gotta find some success in
- 2:36Speaker 3: the run game, but you also have to commit to
- 2:40Speaker 3: running the football, like right right now, like the thing
- 2:45Speaker 3: that you're doing with the difference in pass attempts and
- 2:50Speaker 3: rushing attempts, like it's got to get closer to each
- 2:53Speaker 3: other or you're just never going to have any success there.
- 2:58Speaker 3: But also in the run game, and so we talk
- 3:01Speaker 3: about that a lot here, and like what do we
- 3:03Speaker 3: mean by that, Well, like when you look at some
- 3:06Speaker 3: of the best teams in the country running the football,
- 3:09Speaker 3: Like if you go take a look at, give me
- 3:11Speaker 3: any offense that you think runs the football. Well, like
- 3:15Speaker 3: you could throw an offense out there, and I can
- 3:17Speaker 3: guarantee you in absolutes that when I go and I
- 3:21Speaker 3: look it up and I look at what runs they're running,
- 3:24Speaker 3: it's not going to be inside zone fifty seven percent
- 3:27Speaker 3: of the time. It's not going to be outside zone
- 3:29Speaker 3: fifty one percent of the time. It's going to be
- 3:32Speaker 3: inside zone, twenty outside zone thirty. Counter this percentage power,
- 3:36Speaker 3: this percentage, pull lead, this percentage because it's a diverse
- 3:39Speaker 3: run game. It's got diversity in the run game. Everything
- 3:42Speaker 3: is available and they can find different ways to get
- 3:44Speaker 3: to it. And honestly, like you look at a Tennessee,
- 3:47Speaker 3: you look at an Old miss they can do it
- 3:49Speaker 3: out of eleven personnel. So they can do it out
- 3:52Speaker 3: of what is typically you know, you kind of consider
- 3:56Speaker 3: being a passing type personnel offense and eleven person having
- 4:01Speaker 3: won back and one tight end and three receivers. But no,
- 4:04Speaker 3: they just there's a full buy in from the receivers,
- 4:07Speaker 3: from that tight end, whoever's on the field, that we're
- 4:09Speaker 3: gonna be able to run whatever run that we want to.
- 4:11Speaker 3: We're not going to fall into tendencies. And look, it's
- 4:14Speaker 3: okay if you want to line up. We talked about
- 4:16Speaker 3: it yesterday. Your biggest run of the year, your longest
- 4:18Speaker 3: run of the year, you lined up with a fullback
- 4:21Speaker 3: and a tight end in the backfield and you ran
- 4:24Speaker 3: it around the corner, around the edge for fifty one yards.
- 4:27Speaker 3: It's okay to line up and do that sometimes and
- 4:29Speaker 3: then guess what, Matt After you do that, then after
- 4:32Speaker 3: about the fourth time, you can have a heavy play
- 4:35Speaker 3: action tight end delay come across the formation and he
- 4:37Speaker 3: might be the one that's wide open, like we saw
- 4:40Speaker 3: against soul Miss this past weekend.
- 4:42Speaker 4: Yeah, that means your quarterback has got to touch the
- 4:45Speaker 4: centers butt. I means you can't do a clap count.
- 4:49Speaker 4: Got to get into the center. Every once in a
- 4:50Speaker 4: while when defenses recruit personnel to stop shotgun offenses, and
- 5:00Speaker 4: and then you have to line up. You got to
- 5:02Speaker 4: figure something else out. Yeah, you know, football is full
- 5:05Speaker 4: of ebbs and flows. There's reaction to everything. It's a
- 5:10Speaker 4: reaction type world.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Right. You can be as proactive as you want, but
- 5:13Speaker 2: it's a reaction type world.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Defensive see, Okay, there's a lot of shotguns, there's a
- 5:17Speaker 4: lot of zone reads, there's a lot of slowly developing
- 5:22Speaker 4: running plays out of shotgun. So let's get faster guys
- 5:26Speaker 4: on the defensive line. Okay, well, all right, A couple
- 5:29Speaker 4: of years later, people are going underneath the center. They're
- 5:32Speaker 4: running full back again, they're running two tight ends. They're
- 5:34Speaker 4: bullying us because we got faster on the defensive line. Okay,
- 5:37Speaker 4: let's bulk up our defensive line. Okay, so you get it.
- 5:40Speaker 4: It's cyclical, right, it goes up and down. Defenses and
- 5:44Speaker 4: personnel decisions are always reactive to something that's a weakness.
- 5:49Speaker 4: But you got to create that weakness and we're not
- 5:51Speaker 4: doing that. But like when you talk about like committing
- 5:55Speaker 4: to the run, what does that mean to me? When
- 5:59Speaker 4: I think about that, it can mean a lot of
- 6:00Speaker 4: different things a lot of different people. But to me,
- 6:02Speaker 4: it means we're going to commit to the run and
- 6:06Speaker 4: run it even if there's a non advantageous count in
- 6:10Speaker 4: the box. What's the box again? The tackle box, how
- 6:13Speaker 4: many people are down near around the line of scrimmage.
- 6:16Speaker 4: So sometimes when you have a running play in like
- 6:19Speaker 4: eleven personnel and you have six people blocking, that'd be
- 6:21Speaker 4: the five offensive lineman and a tight end or you know,
- 6:25Speaker 4: if you want to throw full back, whatever it is,
- 6:27Speaker 4: if you have those people blocking. Like a lot of
- 6:28Speaker 4: times in an RPO system, we are automatically taught to
- 6:34Speaker 4: throw it if there's seven people in the box because
- 6:36Speaker 4: that's a numbers advantage defense, right, and it should be
- 6:38Speaker 4: a numbers advantage in the past. But my argument would
- 6:45Speaker 4: be we're relying on that too much now Again, I
- 6:48Speaker 4: don't know if those are the rules. I don't know
- 6:49Speaker 4: if they're counting six seven man boxes, whatever it is.
- 6:52Speaker 4: I'm just telling you my history and all the many
- 6:55Speaker 4: mini offenses that I ran. It's all right, six it's
- 6:58Speaker 4: a six man blocking scheme. Run seven in the box,
- 7:00Speaker 4: we gotta get out of it, or seven in the
- 7:02Speaker 4: box you gotta throw an RBO or offensive line coach
- 7:05Speaker 4: this week, I don't care if it's a seven man box,
- 7:07Speaker 4: We're gonna run it because it's still gonna be three
- 7:09Speaker 4: to four yards. I think we have an advantage there
- 7:11Speaker 4: we have to commit to this run because we're trying
- 7:14Speaker 4: to set up other things in the offense. We're not
- 7:15Speaker 4: just gonna throw a bubble screen behind a lot of
- 7:17Speaker 4: scrimmage because there's an extra safety in the box. I
- 7:20Speaker 4: don't care about that extra safety. So you have to
- 7:23Speaker 4: commit in that way. And so also we saw I
- 7:26Speaker 4: saw a lot of clips what Ole Miss was doing
- 7:29Speaker 4: to us in the run game, in our inside run game.
- 7:32Speaker 4: When defenses are getting hit with the inside zone, it's
- 7:36Speaker 4: they start playing games, yep.
- 7:38Speaker 2: In the defensive front, which shoes offensive line is not
- 7:41Speaker 2: handle games.
- 7:41Speaker 4: Well, so let's just take a let's just like, let's
- 7:43Speaker 4: paint a picture of a right side of offensive line.
- 7:45Speaker 4: You have a right guard and the right tackle. You
- 7:47Speaker 4: have a defensive tackle over the right guard. You have
- 7:49Speaker 4: a defensive end over the right tackle. So if that
- 7:52Speaker 4: defensive end and a game a game to us as
- 7:55Speaker 4: a looper, so defensive end will go left, defensive that
- 7:59Speaker 4: will go right. Switch and they're trying to get the
- 8:01Speaker 4: offensive line confused on who's blocking who, and they attack
- 8:05Speaker 4: the gaps that way. So in stopping a zone type
- 8:07Speaker 4: running game, you want your defensive line moving laterally. You
- 8:10Speaker 4: don't want to moving up the field because that creates gaps.
- 8:12Speaker 4: You want to moving latterly to close those gaps down
- 8:15Speaker 4: and make it hard for a running back to read.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Yeah, because you're gonna say everything got messy.
- 8:21Speaker 4: So what you do, like what they try to do
- 8:23Speaker 4: is the end, the defensive tackle who's over the guard
- 8:25Speaker 4: is going to go and hit the right tackle because
- 8:27Speaker 4: the right tackle thinks he's blocking the defensive end because
- 8:29Speaker 4: he's lined up over him. Well, all of a sudden,
- 8:30Speaker 4: he gets hit from the side by the defensive tackle.
- 8:33Speaker 4: What does that do when he when the defensive tackle
- 8:35Speaker 4: goes out, that guard chases him and then again then
- 8:38Speaker 4: you have a defensive end looping over the top, looping
- 8:42Speaker 4: over the side, replacing where that right guard went to.
- 8:45Speaker 4: So like it creates confusion that way, So how do
- 8:48Speaker 4: you fix that? You have to take that option of
- 8:53Speaker 4: the right guard and right tackle for the offense of
- 8:56Speaker 4: getting confused like that, you have to come back and
- 8:58Speaker 4: hit him with a counterplay. Yeah, somebody pulling from the
- 9:01Speaker 4: other side of tight end pulling where that right side
- 9:03Speaker 4: the line can just wash everything down, Like take the
- 9:06Speaker 4: zone principle out of it. For a couple of plays
- 9:08Speaker 4: here and there, and let them just wash it. What
- 9:11Speaker 4: does that do to the When the defensive coordinator gets
- 9:14Speaker 4: to the sideline and says, all right, they're running counter
- 9:16Speaker 4: right now, they're running power and our games aren't working
- 9:19Speaker 4: because they're just washing it down and they're having a
- 9:21Speaker 4: puller come around to lead the to lead the running back.
- 9:23Speaker 2: What does that do well? It takes the option of.
- 9:26Speaker 4: Running games away for the defensive line and then you
- 9:29Speaker 4: can get back to the zone. Now it's a guessing
- 9:31Speaker 4: game at that point there. If the defensive couardator thinks, like,
- 9:34Speaker 4: all right, I think they're gonna run zone here, even
- 9:36Speaker 4: though they've shown a couple of counters or a couple
- 9:38Speaker 4: of powers or whatever, I think I'm still gonna call
- 9:40Speaker 4: these games because I'm just gonna guess that they're gonna
- 9:42Speaker 4: run a zone. You're gonna get that, and they're gonna
- 9:44Speaker 4: defense is gonna win some offensive win some there. But
- 9:47Speaker 4: when you get a team that's like running games every time,
- 9:50Speaker 4: it's a running down a distance like it's an issue.
- 9:53Speaker 4: You can't it's hard to run zone. It's impossible. I
- 9:55Speaker 4: don't I can't pull up the film right now, but
- 9:59Speaker 4: I could show you the film of like how how
- 10:01Speaker 4: impossible it is for right guard right tackle to block
- 10:03Speaker 4: an inside like a simple inside zone ut when they're
- 10:05Speaker 4: running games.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Well, yeah, so you got to wash it down. You
- 10:08Speaker 2: got to take that option away.
- 10:10Speaker 4: So it's kind of like if you're a defensive coordinator
- 10:14Speaker 4: and you want to stack the box and run Manda Man. Well,
- 10:18Speaker 4: we're gonna run Manda ma until you beat us. Then
- 10:20Speaker 4: once you do start to beat them, they get out
- 10:22Speaker 4: Amanda Man. Right, So we're gonna run games until you
- 10:25Speaker 4: until you show they're gonna.
- 10:26Speaker 3: Be something different. Yeah. Uh as somebody was asking inside
- 10:29Speaker 3: to buy you four chap. Else she's running one hundred
- 10:32Speaker 3: and forty two run plays this year. Gap scheme. They've
- 10:36Speaker 3: run ten counters. So one hundred and forty two runs
- 10:39Speaker 3: ten counters. That is seven percent of your runs. Anybody
- 10:43Speaker 3: in the room want to take a guess.
- 10:44Speaker 2: How many powers? Right?
- 10:46Speaker 3: So we talk about power all time. It's a gap
- 10:48Speaker 3: to expand for the running back. You got to guard
- 10:50Speaker 3: pulling around. It's down, down and around. Kind of a
- 10:53Speaker 3: gap scheme. Obviously, if you if you watch football for
- 10:57Speaker 3: any length of time, you certainly know what a power is.
- 11:00Speaker 3: It was our lead run in two thousand and seven.
- 11:02Speaker 3: Anybody want to get how many powers LSU football is
- 11:05Speaker 3: run in this year twenty twenty five?
- 11:07Speaker 2: Eight? Okay, Elandra, I was.
- 11:09Speaker 5: Gonna say five.
- 11:10Speaker 4: Okay, I was gonna go, Hey, I'll go seven. But
- 11:12Speaker 4: I was gonna keep around that five percent.
- 11:13Speaker 6: More zero, not a one, it seems low, not a one.
- 11:24Speaker 3: One hundred and forty two runs outside zone fifty two
- 11:27Speaker 3: inside zone thirty one, some sort of a man's scheme,
- 11:30Speaker 3: probably some duo thirty three, ten counters, one draw and
- 11:35Speaker 3: counter number it needs to get up five quarterback sneaks,
- 11:39Speaker 3: and three trick plays. Now, I would argue for the
- 11:43Speaker 3: total he said one forty two for the season, I
- 11:45Speaker 3: would argue that there's probably been closer to one hundred
- 11:50Speaker 3: and eighty hundred and ninety called maybe last maybe one
- 11:52Speaker 3: hundred and seventy called. It's just we've just thrown our
- 11:55Speaker 3: pos behind it. Yeah, for not much success probably.
- 11:58Speaker 2: But like.
- 12:00Speaker 3: So, I'm gonna give you a little bit of a breakdown,
- 12:02Speaker 3: all right, So you heard that breakdown there, and I'll
- 12:04Speaker 3: go back to one of the points I was talking about,
- 12:06Speaker 3: like teams that are running the football really well, the
- 12:08Speaker 3: diversity in the run game. I'm trying to see where
- 12:11Speaker 3: they're ranked. I believe Missouri is third in the country,
- 12:14Speaker 3: So Navy's number one service academy. They do what they do,
- 12:18Speaker 3: they do great, But I'm taking them out of this
- 12:20Speaker 3: conversation because that's the obvious. So Florida State would be one,
- 12:23Speaker 3: Missouri would be two. All right, let's see what Missouri's
- 12:27Speaker 3: breakdown is. Uh, two hundred and twenty four runs. They
- 12:33Speaker 3: have run outside zone thirty three percent of the time,
- 12:36Speaker 3: inside zone twenty two percent of the time, duoh twenty
- 12:39Speaker 3: five percent of the time, counter ten percent of the time.
- 12:42Speaker 3: You see the diversity there. You see how it's spread
- 12:45Speaker 3: amongst four different runs.
- 12:47Speaker 2: See that, Huh.
- 12:49Speaker 3: And they've also run five percent of time a pool lead.
- 12:52Speaker 3: So like even that right that that brings something else
- 12:55Speaker 3: to them. They're spreading the ball in different ways depending
- 12:59Speaker 3: on what the defense is giving them. Like Matt said,
- 13:02Speaker 3: if they know you're only going to run certain type
- 13:04Speaker 3: of runs, well they are going to have those games.
- 13:07Speaker 3: And it is going to be so cloudy for a
- 13:09Speaker 3: running back right on a zone run. If it's cloudy
- 13:12Speaker 3: like that, well, I've got a couple of keys that
- 13:13Speaker 3: I'm watching, right. You read the down line and you
- 13:16Speaker 3: read the three technique. If you're running a zone, it's like, well,
- 13:19Speaker 3: if they're running those games and you're not stopping the
- 13:21Speaker 3: game before it happens, I as a runner, I don't
- 13:24Speaker 3: really know what to do because you never really want
- 13:27Speaker 3: to bounce an inside zone outside unless it's just clear
- 13:30Speaker 3: and obvious.
- 13:31Speaker 4: Well, it was like it's one of those things that
- 13:32Speaker 4: coaches like, if you bounce it outside, you better be right.
- 13:34Speaker 3: Yes, you better be right. And a lot of times
- 13:37Speaker 3: the zone's going to hit backside. But again, if you've
- 13:40Speaker 3: got a game on the backside and it's not a
- 13:41Speaker 3: clear picture to you. So my big thing that I
- 13:47Speaker 3: want to see is diversity in the run game. And
- 13:50Speaker 3: also like if you just want to line up, get
- 13:52Speaker 3: under center and do something a little bit different, like
- 13:56Speaker 3: that's okay as well, and you have to play to.
- 13:58Speaker 2: The strings of your backs.
- 14:00Speaker 3: I got like, I'm not there every day to know
- 14:02Speaker 3: the personnel and what they run better, right, that is
- 14:05Speaker 3: on the coaches, they know if they run this, play better,
- 14:07Speaker 3: that play better, if it's inside outside zone, if it's power,
- 14:10Speaker 3: if it's counter, whatever it might be.
- 14:12Speaker 2: But again, I'll go back to it.
- 14:13Speaker 3: The one run you had of fifty plus yards this
- 14:17Speaker 3: year was something that you've never gone back to.
- 14:20Speaker 4: He and I hear. I can hear what you're saying.
- 14:23Speaker 4: When it's like, we're not in the building. Of course
- 14:26Speaker 4: we're not. We don't know the strengths and necessarily of
- 14:29Speaker 4: the weaknesses, like like the people in the building every day.
- 14:32Speaker 4: Obviously we're not part of the team. We're not part
- 14:34Speaker 4: of like that what's happening. So but I can tell
- 14:39Speaker 4: you if it's like, we're not gonna run power because
- 14:41Speaker 4: we don't think that a pulling guard is a strength.
- 14:44Speaker 4: Personnel wise, it's not going to be any weaker than
- 14:49Speaker 4: the inside zone game right now. It's not gonna it's
- 14:52Speaker 4: not gonna regress anything. If anything, it would help you
- 14:56Speaker 4: by just added, Okay, maybe it's not like based on
- 14:59Speaker 4: what you saw in spring, based on what you saw
- 15:01Speaker 4: in training camp, man that of the of the five concepts,
- 15:05Speaker 4: we think we might want to run this this year
- 15:07Speaker 4: in our running game as like, our base power is
- 15:09Speaker 4: the worst. So let's not focus on that, Okay, let's
- 15:13Speaker 4: focus on getting better.
- 15:14Speaker 2: I get it.
- 15:15Speaker 4: That's a that it's a perfectly reasonable thought process, I guess.
- 15:21Speaker 4: But at some point you got to say it's not good,
- 15:23Speaker 4: So like now we got to be creative.
- 15:26Speaker 3: Yeah, and Matt, Matt said it three times, and I'm
- 15:29Speaker 3: just gonna continue to harp on it as well.
- 15:32Speaker 2: Call a run, what do you mean by that? Call
- 15:34Speaker 2: a run? Call a run running, don't call it an
- 15:37Speaker 2: r P O. Don't do that because then you give
- 15:41Speaker 2: the option to throw. And so you're telling your offensive
- 15:44Speaker 2: line they can't be aggressive. You're telling them they can't
- 15:47Speaker 2: go down the field right now because it will be
- 15:49Speaker 2: a penalty, right, so they have to wait a count
- 15:52Speaker 2: and then go like on a combo block.
- 15:55Speaker 3: I've got to wait to count. Man, I don't know
- 15:57Speaker 3: that I could have gotten that done. I'm gonna be
- 15:58Speaker 3: honest with you. Call or run to call a run. Hey,
- 16:02Speaker 3: we're running inside zone?
- 16:04Speaker 2: Yeah, what's the rp of No, no RPO, Nope, nope,
- 16:08Speaker 2: We're just gonna fire off the football and we're gonna
- 16:10Speaker 2: run the football. Yep.
- 16:12Speaker 4: Take And there's running plays you can do power counter
- 16:16Speaker 4: like every play has calls that the offensive line.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Offensive line is community.
- 16:21Speaker 4: It's not just like as simple ar We're gonna line
- 16:23Speaker 4: up and just everyone's gonna run forward as fast as
- 16:25Speaker 4: they can, like a like a brick wall. We're gonna
- 16:27Speaker 4: hold hands like it's red rover and just like go
- 16:30Speaker 4: push everyone down the field. Like there's calls that you
- 16:32Speaker 4: got to make depending on the defensive front, depending on
- 16:35Speaker 4: the linebackers alignment, which safeties on which side are coming
- 16:38Speaker 4: down into the box. So like the same running play
- 16:42Speaker 4: might not look might not be blocked up the same
- 16:44Speaker 4: way twice and again. So there's communication that is happening.
- 16:48Speaker 4: And a lot of times when I'm seeing a lot
- 16:49Speaker 4: of these running plays, it looks like there is some
- 16:51Speaker 4: confusion on the calls a little bit maybe, or some
- 16:54Speaker 4: hesitation to really trust the call from the guy next
- 16:58Speaker 4: to him, Like an I might be going to the left,
- 17:00Speaker 4: I mna be eyeballing like somebody I shouldn't before I.
- 17:03Speaker 2: Get Oh, eye violations for sure, eye.
- 17:05Speaker 4: Violations for sure. That's great. I hadn't heard the word
- 17:08Speaker 4: I violation a while. But like good, good pull right there.
- 17:10Speaker 4: But a lot that's what I'm talking about when you
- 17:12Speaker 4: when I'm sitting, when I talk about washing down a
- 17:15Speaker 4: defensive line, there's not a whole lot of calls there.
- 17:18Speaker 4: It's like we're gonna wash it down, and our pullers
- 17:20Speaker 4: are the ones that have to sort things out. They
- 17:23Speaker 4: got to take the most dangerous person first, second, most
- 17:26Speaker 4: dangerous person second, they got to read all that.
- 17:28Speaker 3: So because with a puller, sometimes like if a guy
- 17:31Speaker 3: is just trying to he's adamant on just going inside
- 17:34Speaker 3: the puller, the puller can pass him up and the
- 17:36Speaker 3: running back can follow him outside. Sometimes you don't even
- 17:40Speaker 3: have to touch him if you have that situation.
- 17:42Speaker 4: And he become if you're struggling, the running backs are
- 17:45Speaker 4: struggling seeing seeing openings in the zone game. When with
- 17:52Speaker 4: following lead pullers, it's more instinctual. Yeah, So like lead pullers,
- 17:55Speaker 4: they just go and they throw. They can miss a block,
- 17:57Speaker 4: missing a block on it as a pullers, okay, right,
- 18:00Speaker 4: because at least you know which way he missed. He
- 18:02Speaker 4: missed outside of the pullar missed inside. I can know
- 18:04Speaker 4: which way to instinctually to run and the hit the hole.
- 18:07Speaker 4: So I don't know, there's different things you can do.
- 18:10Speaker 4: I think, just like Jake said, call a running play,
- 18:13Speaker 4: don't call an RPO. Get something that it's like, all right,
- 18:16Speaker 4: we're gonna do We're gonna wash the signlight of the
- 18:18Speaker 4: offense on the side of the defensive line down we're
- 18:20Speaker 4: gonna have pullers coming across left tackle. We're just gonna
- 18:23Speaker 4: get up and call something that they can line up,
- 18:26Speaker 4: stick their hand in the dirt and go kick somebody's ass.
- 18:29Speaker 2: So that's what they got to call. And let's stop
- 18:31Speaker 2: thinking about it at a little so much.
- 18:33Speaker 3: Let me ask you this before we take a break.
- 18:36Speaker 3: If you are adamant on giving your quarterback an option
- 18:39Speaker 3: through the air on these run plays, now again, I
- 18:41Speaker 3: just want to line up and I would want to
- 18:43Speaker 3: call a run.
- 18:44Speaker 2: I'd want to know it.
- 18:45Speaker 3: If I'm a blocker, I want to know that I
- 18:47Speaker 3: can be aggressive and I can fire out. If you
- 18:50Speaker 3: are adamant or running a run pass option, why wouldn't
- 18:55Speaker 3: you just tell the slot to bubble and that way
- 18:59Speaker 3: I thowt it behind the line of scrimmage. In that way,
- 19:01Speaker 3: the offensive line can still be aggressive because then you
- 19:04Speaker 3: can't be called for going down the field. I still
- 19:07Speaker 3: have the option to throw the bubble. It's a backwards
- 19:09Speaker 3: pass and then we can say, okay, well, lineman, it
- 19:13Speaker 3: doesn't change anything for you. If that's if you want
- 19:16Speaker 3: to tag something with every run. If that's your philosophy
- 19:19Speaker 3: and that's who you are, there's still ways to do
- 19:21Speaker 3: it where your line can be aggressive.
- 19:23Speaker 4: Yeah, and I think we saw that a little bit
- 19:25Speaker 4: more this past week. Most a lot of the RPOs
- 19:27Speaker 4: was behind the line of scrimmage, like little pop passes,
- 19:30Speaker 4: like wide receiver screens basically, which is better than running
- 19:35Speaker 4: a three step concept behind it, because a three step
- 19:37Speaker 4: concept is like, it's not a right now throw. It's
- 19:39Speaker 4: like a three step concept is you're reading like one
- 19:42Speaker 4: defender to throw to two different potential two different receivers.
- 19:45Speaker 4: So it's a little bit of reading. I think this
- 19:48Speaker 4: past week for that philosophy is a little bit better.
- 19:50Speaker 4: I just haven't We've seen it every level of football.
- 19:55Speaker 4: How many people, how many wide receivers can hold up
- 19:58Speaker 4: on a one on one block on a press corner
- 20:01Speaker 4: with the wide receivers, how many times we see it
- 20:03Speaker 4: get blown up in every single every single level of football.
- 20:07Speaker 4: I would say over fifty percent of the time, those
- 20:09Speaker 4: players don't get in the yards or maybe they get
- 20:10Speaker 4: a yard. So I'd rather not take that chance and
- 20:15Speaker 4: get that one or two, maybe three ugly yards in
- 20:18Speaker 4: the running game against a non advantageous box and having
- 20:21Speaker 4: to throw a behind the line of scrimmage wide receiver
- 20:24Speaker 4: pop pass to the wide side of the field in college,
- 20:26Speaker 4: which the hashmarks are way wider than in the NFL,
- 20:29Speaker 4: So it's a way longer throw to the white side
- 20:31Speaker 4: of the field. The balls in the air a lot
- 20:32Speaker 4: longer wide. Receiver's got to hold a block. That's impossible
- 20:35Speaker 4: up for a long book. And I talked about it yesterday.
- 20:38Speaker 4: It's like you're really trying to get a holding call too.
- 20:42Speaker 4: The more you do that, you're going to get a hold.
- 20:44Speaker 2: Got one last week on the.
- 20:46Speaker 4: Edge anyhow, And I digress outside of that. So yeah,
- 20:51Speaker 4: just run the ball, run calls, run place full back
- 20:54Speaker 4: under the center, but that I don't get that quarterback
- 20:57Speaker 4: to touch the centers.
- 20:58Speaker 2: But how's a clop cop? You know it's bad. You
- 21:06Speaker 2: know it's bad. When Flynn is finally giving himself over
- 21:09Speaker 2: to having a fullback, it's good. Things are getting rough,
- 21:15Speaker 2: all right.
- 21:15Speaker 3: We'll take a break more OTB when we come back here.
- 21:18Speaker 3: Let's get to little OTB mailbags. So go ahead and
- 21:22Speaker 3: get your questions inside the BUYU four chat. We'll try

- 21:49Speaker 3: Vandy can do it two years in a row against Alabama.
- 21:53Speaker 3: Let's see if Florida State can bounce back against Miami.
- 21:56Speaker 2: So kick your feet up a little stress free weekend.

- 22:16Speaker 4: you know, we've all everyone's everyone's been tailgatting a lot,
- 22:18Speaker 4: going to the games. This is the week to kind
- 22:20Speaker 4: of kick back, sit on the couch, watch a bunch
- 22:22Speaker 4: of different people play little stress free action this Saturday.
- 22:25Speaker 4: So make sure you're going going to your local routes
- 22:27Speaker 4: or whatever it is. Get some do seqis, get that
- 22:29Speaker 4: cold Mexican layer. Get some cold limes, go for dose
- 22:32Speaker 4: dose skies.
- 22:38Speaker 1: Locked in on LSU football twenty four to seven. You're
- 22:41Speaker 1: listening to off the bench, Where.
- 23:01Speaker 5: Is shere again? Along having the farm many gal.
- 23:10Speaker 3: I hot she long little longer.
- 23:18Speaker 5: Set a let him on along summer day.
- 23:23Speaker 2: That silver fu.
- 23:29Speaker 5: Loping around and down the stuss rover. Who the wheel
- 23:37Speaker 5: in the skykis unturned in? I don't know where, be
- 23:43Speaker 5: too far.
- 23:45Speaker 6: Feeling the skyk it's on turning, all.
- 23:51Speaker 3: Right, Welcome back in OTB on this Tuesday morning. Make
- 23:59Speaker 3: it Tuesdays feel like thursdays out here at least, trying
- 24:01Speaker 3: to trick the mind. Hopefully we're doing that for you
- 24:04Speaker 3: out there today. Let's go ahead and get to a
- 24:06Speaker 3: little OTB mailbag.
- 24:10Speaker 2: I help this special delivery for after bench and look
- 24:13Speaker 2: it is marked most urgent. We'll be writing to you
- 24:16Speaker 2: the internet. What the is the internet? All right?
- 24:29Speaker 3: Before we get started here on OTB mailbag, we want
- 24:32Speaker 3: to remind you about our friends over at KTZ Blinds,
- 24:35Speaker 3: ktoz blines dot com. KTZ Interiors and Outdoor Living been
- 24:39Speaker 3: doing it since two thousand and four in ban Uge
- 24:41Speaker 3: in Lafyette on the north shore. Those numbers are right
- 24:44Speaker 3: there on the website top right corner inter Outdoor Living
- 24:46Speaker 3: Half Brandon Barton and the team come out to your space.
- 24:49Speaker 3: You're going to know your space, learn your space better
- 24:51Speaker 3: than you like five to ten minutes, because they've done
- 24:53Speaker 3: it for me as well. Ktoz blinds dot com. All right,
- 24:57Speaker 3: let's get to some of these questions here. What kind
- 25:02Speaker 3: of candy should I get to hand out for Halloween?
- 25:05Speaker 2: This year?
- 25:06Speaker 7: Snickers full sized candy bars will be the most popular.
- 25:10Speaker 2: Guys, Yeah you balling? Huh?
- 25:12Speaker 4: Like that?
- 25:13Speaker 2: Well these producers made I'll tell you what. The the
- 25:16Speaker 2: nerd clusters that are pretty good. Sour patches are good
- 25:20Speaker 2: with a lot of people. Like I love candy. It's
- 25:22Speaker 2: like candy and stuff like that's my weakness.
- 25:24Speaker 5: Like the stuff you can't do it anymore.
- 25:28Speaker 4: Also of good, like the Welch's gummies. I feel like
- 25:32Speaker 4: respectable too.
- 25:33Speaker 2: It didn't you know members love Welch's Gummies. Good. It's
- 25:38Speaker 2: just good too. I will say I love every candy
- 25:41Speaker 2: except Almond Joys.
- 25:43Speaker 5: I actually kind of like them.
- 25:44Speaker 3: I don't like coconut like well in candy like I
- 25:47Speaker 3: can do other coconut things, but I don't either.
- 25:50Speaker 2: Butting up, it's too gritty. I didn't I didn't.
- 25:53Speaker 7: Think I was gonna do a uh anti almond joy
- 25:56Speaker 7: thing here. Almond joy and mounds, right, same thing. Yeah,
- 26:00Speaker 7: the one with the mountains is not called ments. The
- 26:03Speaker 7: one with the two little lumps is almond joint mountains
- 26:05Speaker 7: is the flat one?
- 26:06Speaker 2: Interesting?
- 26:07Speaker 3: Why I don't know the fact that you know that
- 26:10Speaker 3: that's deep detail there. They're both bad. So I don't
- 26:14Speaker 3: mean candy corn, yes or no?
- 26:16Speaker 1: Yes?
- 26:17Speaker 2: Yes, absolutely fine. I just crushed the fag.
- 26:20Speaker 4: So I want to bring when we get close to
- 26:22Speaker 4: Holle and I want to bring some candy corn in here.
- 26:24Speaker 4: I just saw something blue in my end of the day. Okay,
- 26:27Speaker 4: why it's called candy corn? Y'all might know this, Okay,
- 26:30Speaker 4: I don't. I'm not gonna tell you. I'm gonna I'm
- 26:32Speaker 4: gonna tease it for next month, for the later.
- 26:35Speaker 5: This is like when you told me and Jake that
- 26:37Speaker 5: riddle and you didn't even know the answer to. It
- 26:40Speaker 5: looks like a corn kernel.
- 26:41Speaker 2: It kind of looks like a corn kernel, but if
- 26:44Speaker 2: you stack it the proper way, you can actually make
- 26:46Speaker 2: a corn corn on the cob or whatever. It looks
- 26:49Speaker 2: just like it. It's wild at that time. On your hands,
- 26:52Speaker 2: you got more than I do. I'm gonna bring him
- 26:54Speaker 2: in here. We'll just stack it there in the show.
- 26:57Speaker 2: Hashtag go to be mail bag. How big of them
- 26:59Speaker 2: is was it to play nuts in the s l
- 27:01Speaker 2: U game?
- 27:02Speaker 5: I mean depends on how heard some of us thought
- 27:06Speaker 5: it was.
- 27:07Speaker 3: We talked about it. We thought, yeah in that contest.
- 27:11Speaker 3: But we went out there and played and looked like
- 27:15Speaker 3: he had got some zip back. But in that process Southeastern, Yeah,
- 27:20Speaker 3: and that process could have Actually, you know, I don't know,
- 27:22Speaker 3: We don't know.
- 27:22Speaker 2: We don't like that.
- 27:25Speaker 4: We can't tell you from like what we see from
- 27:28Speaker 4: a fan's perspective. We don't know what the doctor said.
- 27:31Speaker 4: We don't know what's going on. But like, yeah, in
- 27:33Speaker 4: our opinion, you should have based on the information that
- 27:36Speaker 4: we have, and we got that information from just watching
- 27:39Speaker 4: tape knowing that he doesn't look right.
- 27:41Speaker 7: Jake to your point, like yeah, like the there was
- 27:44Speaker 7: across litle zip and zip. It doesn't really matter who
- 27:46Speaker 7: you're playing. Like it it looked he had the zip
- 27:48Speaker 7: against Southeastern. He didn't have it last week.
- 27:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean.
- 27:53Speaker 3: Hashtag go to b mail bag. Jay Cutler is serving
- 27:56Speaker 3: a four day jail sentence for d U. I should
- 27:59Speaker 3: he spent his time in the clink working on his
- 28:03Speaker 3: body language. You know he's got poor body language.
- 28:06Speaker 5: I can respect how much J. Cutler doesn't give a
- 28:12Speaker 5: f Like the man just does not care.
- 28:15Speaker 3: Oh, you hate him very much, very much. I tell
- 28:20Speaker 3: I tell my flag teams. I'm like, if y'all keep
- 28:22Speaker 3: giving me that J. Cutler body language, and every.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Time they're like, Dad, who's Jacutler? And Dad's gotta tell him.
- 28:29Speaker 5: He was married to Christan Cavalier, the guy.
- 28:31Speaker 2: With the worst body language you've ever seen.
- 28:33Speaker 3: Throw a pick, same body language, score a touchdown, same
- 28:36Speaker 3: body language, ripping heaters on the sideline.
- 28:39Speaker 7: Remember the infamous play him with the Dolphins when they
- 28:42Speaker 7: were running like the little Wildcat and he was standing
- 28:46Speaker 7: off to the side, like not blocking anybody. He was
- 28:48Speaker 7: interviewed about that, He's like, God, it's a stupid play.
- 28:50Speaker 7: I'm lot to be receiver looking to block anybody. I'm
- 28:52Speaker 7: not gonna catch. I was like, I'm standing here because
- 28:54Speaker 7: I don't like the play.
- 28:54Speaker 6: Call.
- 28:55Speaker 5: I love him.
- 28:56Speaker 2: I did kind of like respect the fact that he
- 28:57Speaker 2: was he was him, he was true to himself.
- 29:00Speaker 5: I love people like that.
- 29:03Speaker 2: I didn't have like a personal beef with them like
- 29:04Speaker 2: Jake did, which I understand. Desmon. I'm going to kind
- 29:11Speaker 2: of just summarize your question. No, like, yeah, we can
- 29:16Speaker 2: talk about adjustments, but we're not calling coaches to give
- 29:21Speaker 2: our input. They they probably wouldn't want to hear that.
- 29:25Speaker 3: And uh, you know, every every coach, every former player,
- 29:29Speaker 3: every whatever, is going to have I guess a different
- 29:31Speaker 3: opinion than whoever the coach is.
- 29:33Speaker 2: Then you get down the building every day.
- 29:35Speaker 4: Look, it's we don't know their offense. We don't know
- 29:38Speaker 4: what their rules are, the foundational pieces of how each
- 29:42Speaker 4: of these plays have been built or developed, or what
- 29:44Speaker 4: these guys have been taught. All we can say is
- 29:46Speaker 4: based on our experiences that might be completely different than
- 29:49Speaker 4: what the the experience over there is.
- 29:52Speaker 2: So we don't know what we're saying is right.
- 29:54Speaker 4: All we're saying is our opinion based on experiences, whether
- 29:57Speaker 4: that's right, wrong, and different idea.
- 30:02Speaker 2: We don't speak at facts.
- 30:05Speaker 3: Hashag go to b mailbag. How much is the field
- 30:08Speaker 3: to blame for all of these injuries? Are you talking
- 30:12Speaker 3: about like in the NFL? Yeah, that turf in Madlife
- 30:16Speaker 3: is awful. It's always been awful. I'll play the old
- 30:19Speaker 3: Met and the new Met and it was still bad.
- 30:22Speaker 3: You see, the turf in the NFL is not even
- 30:26Speaker 3: like high grade turf. Sometimes it gets shocking, like we
- 30:30Speaker 3: have nicer turf at Elite than they have in the NFL.
- 30:34Speaker 3: Like I mean that, not even like promoting the business.
- 30:37Speaker 3: Were just facts, like there's some stadiums with really bad
- 30:41Speaker 3: turf in the National Football and grass.
- 30:44Speaker 2: There's places with bad grass. Yeah you will. I'd like
- 30:48Speaker 2: to see a forty like Arizona awful, awful grass. It
- 30:53Speaker 2: was like mush. It was always muddy because it's like
- 30:56Speaker 2: one of those fields you can roll in and out,
- 30:59Speaker 2: and it was just always just soggy mud basically. And
- 31:04Speaker 2: it doesn't rain in Arizona. So explain that one to me.
- 31:07Speaker 2: We gotta.
- 31:08Speaker 7: We were playing at Springfield my senior year and if
- 31:10Speaker 7: you've been out to Springfield High School, it's like a
- 31:12Speaker 7: cow pasture could there. It's in between Walker and Hammond.
- 31:18Speaker 7: If you're like, man, that doesn't seem like there's a
- 31:20Speaker 7: lot there.
- 31:20Speaker 2: It's not okay, all right?
- 31:23Speaker 4: Yeah, but OBJ made a tweet, you know, imploring the
- 31:26Speaker 4: NFL to outlaw turf, make people change the grass. Because
- 31:29Speaker 4: there's a lot of similar scenes and pictures from when
- 31:32Speaker 4: he tore his knee up to when Malik did. I
- 31:35Speaker 4: know you didn't see the tweet because you just joined yesterday,
- 31:38Speaker 4: but you'll see those kinds of tweets.
- 31:39Speaker 2: We call it death life, right, I'll trying to pull
- 31:42Speaker 2: it up. M hm m mm hmmmmmmmm. Taylor underscore sharp underscore.
- 31:55Speaker 5: You can follow me to while you're following te I
- 31:58Speaker 5: only have one underscore at the end, which is crazy.
- 32:02Speaker 5: I didn't know there are so many laundri villa reals.
- 32:06Speaker 2: Right, it just makes sense that Luandra blank space is
- 32:10Speaker 2: like the underscore.
- 32:16Speaker 5: I don't like it in the middle. I feel like
- 32:17Speaker 5: it looks clunky. So it's just it is change it,
- 32:24Speaker 5: I think.
- 32:24Speaker 2: So hashtag go to be mail bag.
- 32:26Speaker 3: What are the stats slash percentages on passes being called
- 32:31Speaker 3: on first down and run on second down, and what
- 32:33Speaker 3: is the percentage of which concept the run is. I
- 32:36Speaker 3: don't have that obviously, like right here, hadn't broken that down, Matt,
- 32:39Speaker 3: but I can definitely try before we get out here
- 32:41Speaker 3: today to get that percentage.
- 32:42Speaker 4: And let's say somebody asked earlier too, how many snaps
- 32:45Speaker 4: this season have we taken actually under center. I don't
- 32:49Speaker 4: know that we're gonna work on those two stats for y'all. Okay,
- 32:53Speaker 4: mm hmm how many under center?
- 32:55Speaker 2: I know one? No, one percentage.
- 32:59Speaker 3: All right, well that's a little homework during the break.
- 33:02Speaker 3: Hashtag OTB mail bag. Can this defense stop well Norris
- 33:12Speaker 3: sellars after what he did to Kentucky?
- 33:15Speaker 2: Yeah, yes, in Kentucky, guys, if you can believe that.
- 33:19Speaker 5: Also, I need this narrative about the defense being exposed
- 33:24Speaker 5: on Saturday to go away, because again we talked about
- 33:27Speaker 5: this yesterday, that defense was out on the field. This
- 33:30Speaker 5: is probably an exaggeration the time it felt like it.
- 33:35Speaker 5: So yeah, I mean that is a ridiculous amount of
- 33:39Speaker 5: time to be out your offense. Couldn't give them a break.
- 33:41Speaker 5: So I mean they did well for how hard they
- 33:45Speaker 5: were playing.
- 33:46Speaker 2: Yeah, I will say, like, obviously get off the field
- 33:47Speaker 2: and third down, Yeah, I thought they're coaching points this week.
- 33:50Speaker 2: Got to get up, Yeah, because I thought there was
- 33:52Speaker 2: some call.
- 33:52Speaker 5: I mean, it wasn't perfect, but it wasn't no.
- 33:54Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, like if you're if you're just grading on
- 33:56Speaker 3: a very hard scale, because I agree with you. I
- 33:59Speaker 3: think they played win football on the third down stuff. Actually,
- 34:02Speaker 3: I went back and there's some calls that the call
- 34:05Speaker 3: was the right call. You just got to get to
- 34:08Speaker 3: where you're supposed to be quicker. Don't try to do
- 34:11Speaker 3: somebody else's job. And we talk about that all the time, Right,
- 34:14Speaker 3: you can only do your job right. It's a team game.
- 34:16Speaker 3: But your one to eleventh is doing your job. Your
- 34:19Speaker 3: guy does his job. And because if you try to
- 34:20Speaker 3: start doing other people's jobs, then you can't get your
- 34:23Speaker 3: job done. And you saw some of that, and again
- 34:25Speaker 3: like you're working hard, you're playing hard, you're trying to
- 34:26Speaker 3: get it done, So that would be one thing. And
- 34:30Speaker 3: then for like a team gets Old Miss, you're just
- 34:33Speaker 3: not going to have the opportunity to rush the quarterback
- 34:36Speaker 3: very often.
- 34:37Speaker 2: So I thought that some of the pressure would leak through.
- 34:40Speaker 2: I give it to Old Miss.
- 34:41Speaker 3: They actually did a really nice job of picking up
- 34:43Speaker 3: any blitzes that LSU brought, any pressure they brought. But
- 34:48Speaker 3: if anybody watches that tape, you can see that there
- 34:51Speaker 3: was winning plays, winning football being played for a majority
- 34:54Speaker 3: of the time by the defense. They never got that lifeline,
- 34:58Speaker 3: they never got the life wrath from the offense to
- 35:00Speaker 3: be able to.
- 35:00Speaker 4: Get any plays as an astronomical amount of plays to
- 35:03Speaker 4: be out there. I mean you saw weeks like puked
- 35:05Speaker 4: like everyone saw that clip and went viral like.
- 35:09Speaker 2: That would have been like the rallying.
- 35:12Speaker 4: The one criticism I guess schematically I had. Now again,
- 35:15Speaker 4: they went their speed. They're almost as tempo affected the
- 35:19Speaker 4: defensive play calling more than I anticipated that it would.
- 35:22Speaker 4: And Jake said when they get when you get the
- 35:24Speaker 4: line of scrimage really fast and you snapped the ball
- 35:26Speaker 4: really fast, it's hard to get intricate and detailed.
- 35:28Speaker 2: Blitz is called.
- 35:29Speaker 4: My only criticism I guess, like schematically from the game
- 35:32Speaker 4: plan was we well, we've been really good at it's
- 35:35Speaker 4: like a late blitzer. Call it green dog. If like
- 35:39Speaker 4: if a linebacker if he's got the running back man
- 35:41Speaker 4: to man and he stays in the blocks, he laid ads.
- 35:43Speaker 4: We late added for the majority of time we were
- 35:47Speaker 4: rushing just like a fifth guy, So the four defense
- 35:50Speaker 4: line would russian, we'd late add a fifth linebacker. Well,
- 35:53Speaker 4: if they're blocking six, a late ad didn't really do
- 35:55Speaker 4: anything because there's already a six. There's already five offensive
- 35:58Speaker 4: linemen right to block guys, So it didn't really do
- 36:01Speaker 4: If you want to have success with like late added rushers.
- 36:04Speaker 4: You got to be rushing five and you late at
- 36:06Speaker 4: a six guy because then you can get get away
- 36:09Speaker 4: from the offensive lineman. But if you're late adding just
- 36:13Speaker 4: one to make five total rushers and it's like delayed,
- 36:15Speaker 4: it just looks like a really slow Yeah, so I
- 36:18Speaker 4: didn't really do anything well.
- 36:18Speaker 7: So many people were pointing out, oh look at the
- 36:20Speaker 7: yard at you differential. Yeah, we talked about all the plays,
- 36:23Speaker 7: but yards don't win games. Points due ole miss thirty points,
- 36:27Speaker 7: sixty three points, forty one, forty five. You hold them
- 36:29Speaker 7: to twenty four points? Yeah, what more does this defense
- 36:32Speaker 7: have to do? You hold them to twenty four that's
- 36:34Speaker 7: their lowest total. Buy a whole touchdown missue.
- 36:36Speaker 2: Answer the question, Yes, I think we're better than Kentucky's defense.
- 36:38Speaker 3: I would say so, all right, Actually, let's do this.
- 36:44Speaker 3: We'll step away and then we'll come back and we'll
- 36:45Speaker 3: get right back into people are making me so many

- 38:52Speaker 2: still does it. You know it looks cool on the motorcycle.
- 38:57Speaker 2: Pulling up to the house, she leaves the door up
- 39:03Speaker 2: front door. I was filmed in San Diego, Southern California.
- 39:09Speaker 2: MAT's favorite place. Honestly, who cares?
- 39:14Speaker 3: All right, we're kind of getting back into just a
- 39:17Speaker 3: mailbag here, just real quick, honestly, Like we're not gonna
- 39:21Speaker 3: have time to do a ton of them, but why
- 39:23Speaker 3: not like all the defensive stuff, like you just like
- 39:29Speaker 3: you give up twenty four points and you were on
- 39:31Speaker 3: the field for ninety plays and again like if you've
- 39:34Speaker 3: listened to us over the last two days. There are
- 39:36Speaker 3: certainly portions of this LSU team, but we are not
- 39:39Speaker 3: not going to sit here and try to make an
- 39:41Speaker 3: excuse for it. It has to be better. It is
- 39:43Speaker 3: not anywhere close to where it needs to be. But defensively,
- 39:48Speaker 3: you made winning plays in that game. Yeah, I know
- 39:51Speaker 3: they converted some long that's a good offense, but you
- 39:54Speaker 3: made enough place to win that game if you had
- 39:56Speaker 3: some help. And Nookie pointed this out and I want
- 39:58Speaker 3: to reiterate it. In the first half, here's how many
- 40:02Speaker 3: plays your drives offensively lasted to help your defense out.
- 40:06Speaker 2: Three five five, three three four one too many plays
- 40:16Speaker 2: you had.
- 40:16Speaker 3: Five was the most plays you had in a drive
- 40:19Speaker 3: in the first half, five because we were scoring.
- 40:23Speaker 2: So nope, So complimentary football has to happen.
- 40:32Speaker 3: And when you go back and you look at the
- 40:35Speaker 3: grades for this team, right, AJ Halsey graded out eighty
- 40:40Speaker 3: four percent.
- 40:41Speaker 2: PJ.
- 40:41Speaker 3: Woodland seventy nine percent, what week seventy one percent. Like,
- 40:45Speaker 3: there's some guys on the defense that again gave you
- 40:48Speaker 3: an opportunity. But for them to be elite, which I
- 40:52Speaker 3: think they have the ability to be, so you got
- 40:55Speaker 3: to help them out like you have to go out
- 40:58Speaker 3: there and hell, even if you kick a field goal,
- 41:01Speaker 3: put eleven plays together, because okay, so we gave you that.
- 41:04Speaker 3: And then you look at what Old Miss was able
- 41:06Speaker 3: to do, and they had they had an eighteen play
- 41:11Speaker 3: drive that ended in a field goal. They went eighteen
- 41:13Speaker 3: plays and didn't even score in the end zone.
- 41:16Speaker 5: So defense not good though, to.
- 41:17Speaker 2: Help each other out, that has to happen if you
- 41:21Speaker 2: want to be where they can be. So yeah, I'm
- 41:25Speaker 2: not even sure is that narrative real? Like are people
- 41:29Speaker 2: talking about that? I don't know. I've been focused on
- 41:34Speaker 2: the offense.
- 41:34Speaker 5: I've seen things online. There's a few things in the chat.
- 41:37Speaker 2: It can't be real.
- 41:38Speaker 5: I mean it's got to be.
- 41:40Speaker 2: It's got it. Yeah, rage bait click it worked on me.
- 41:45Speaker 2: You got you.
- 41:47Speaker 3: Fistball up over like you were without question, all right.
- 41:53Speaker 3: So yeah, you have to help each other out. Complimentary
- 41:59Speaker 3: football offense. Defense, it's I know something's been foorn over
- 42:02Speaker 3: the last couple of years, but it has to start
- 42:05Speaker 3: matching each other if you want to get to where
- 42:07Speaker 3: you want to go, which is a college football player.
- 42:09Speaker 4: Just think, like, I know nobody out here listening, like
- 42:12Speaker 4: we're nobody's current FOOTBA players are now listening.
- 42:15Speaker 2: It's just like, just put yourself off your shoes.
- 42:18Speaker 4: Defense that just was out there for fifteen plays, held
- 42:20Speaker 4: them to whatever field goal, whatever it is. You come
- 42:22Speaker 4: off the sideline, your offense goes three and out, and
- 42:25Speaker 4: it's like, all right, defense back on the field. Just
- 42:27Speaker 4: put yourself in those shoes. How tired do people get
- 42:30Speaker 4: walking up two flights of stairs?
- 42:31Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 42:32Speaker 3: Well that and also also you get on the board
- 42:36Speaker 3: and you get your your pinout charpie, dry, race board, whatever,
- 42:41Speaker 3: and you open it up and you go to make
- 42:43Speaker 3: an adjustment.
- 42:44Speaker 2: Defense alert. What wait? What huh? Defense alert? We're trying
- 42:48Speaker 2: to make adjustments. You can't three plays down? Just got
- 42:50Speaker 2: a little sup in mine high? All right, Jesus, let's
- 42:54Speaker 2: see a lot of cramping out there. All right, we'll
- 42:56Speaker 2: be back more OTB off.
- 42:59Speaker 1: The bench locked in on PLUSU Football twenty four to seven.
- 43:06Speaker 1: You're listening to off the bench, all.
- 43:16Speaker 3: Right, welcome back in OTB. Here in the vour number
- 43:19Speaker 3: two to kick off our number three. We'll get back
- 43:22Speaker 3: into the Saints conversation. Nick Underhill, new On and Stoff
- 43:25Speaker 3: Football will join us, obviously.
- 43:28Speaker 2: Go bringing the vibes this morning. I think he's gonna
- 43:33Speaker 2: be positive. Yeah, for sure, for sure.
- 43:39Speaker 4: He's gonna be positive next week because we're Saints obviously
- 43:42Speaker 4: gonna beat the Giants this weekend.
- 43:44Speaker 3: Oh, the Giants got that rookie quarterback bomb and they
- 43:47Speaker 3: beat the Chargers.
- 43:48Speaker 2: Camp Scataboo is actually kind of awesome. He's just like
- 43:50Speaker 2: a battering ram. I don't know how long that guy
- 43:54Speaker 2: can play play it like that, but my god, he
- 43:57Speaker 2: he ain't here for a long time. He's here for good.
- 43:59Speaker 2: He's here for a great time. Jackson Dart two.
- 44:01Speaker 3: Hey, Jackson, Yes, a little bit like you're not built there,
- 44:06Speaker 3: you know, to be that way, you're you're not try.
- 44:09Speaker 2: To punch someone in the head running the ball with
- 44:11Speaker 2: his throwing arm. I know I like the meathead this
- 44:14Speaker 2: of that team.
- 44:15Speaker 1: I do.
- 44:15Speaker 2: But also you know, you get me available, Jackson.
- 44:21Speaker 3: Uh So, we'll have Nick Underhill new words dot Football
- 44:24Speaker 3: to talk Saints uh here when we come back. A
- 44:27Speaker 3: good effort there in Buffalo. They've got a chance to
- 44:30Speaker 3: win a game against the Giants. It's maybe the best
- 44:33Speaker 3: chance they've had so far. We'll see if they can
- 44:35Speaker 3: get it done. We'll get updates on False tomorrow and
- 44:38Speaker 3: Taysom Hill as well, and uh, maybe we'll asking about
- 44:40Speaker 3: Caesariz and how long that ankle is going to be there,
- 44:44Speaker 3: Nick Underhill when we come.
- 44:45Speaker 2: Back off the bench. All right, go to Rouss dot com.
- 44:51Speaker 3: We have loved being over at Rowse's every single Friday
