Speaker 1: It's welcome everybody.
0:17
Speaker 2: Welcome to this week's edition. This story on the show
0:20
Speaker 2: EPISOD number seven or fifty seven for August eighteen, twenty
0:24
Speaker 2: twenty four. Welcome to this week's edition of as RT.
0:29
Speaker 2: You I am one after the show, I am Jeff
0:32
Speaker 2: Pack joined every single week are Hoist Loly, Doctor Tray Franklin,
0:36
Speaker 2: Doctor Tray. I know you may not feel this way
0:39
Speaker 2: that I'd like to give you a title shot, my friend.
0:43
Speaker 3: I mean, am I going into a gauntlet match? Or
0:47
Speaker 3: is just because we're friends and I don't deserve it,
0:50
Speaker 3: but you think I look pretty sweet with a beer
0:52
Speaker 3: and a Jebby and a little bit of a beer gut.
0:55
Speaker 2: I just think you deserve it. You may not feel
0:56
Speaker 2: that way. I think you deserve it.
1:00
Speaker 3: I mean, I'm just saying because we saw this on
1:02
Speaker 3: like two different shows this week, whereas like, Eh, you
1:05
Speaker 3: haven't really done anything, but I'll give you a title shot,
1:08
Speaker 3: or Hey, I know you're not even on this Bram,
1:09
Speaker 3: but I'll give you a title shot, or hey, we're
1:11
Speaker 3: gonna give a chance to one of six people who've never.
1:13
Speaker 4: Had a title shot. Who knows.
1:15
Speaker 3: It's like Oprah, everybody's getting a title shot, whether you
1:17
Speaker 3: deserve it or.
1:18
Speaker 2: Not, let's get into it, my friends. We talked about
1:21
Speaker 2: the end of last week's show. It was bleeding in
1:24
Speaker 2: and out of a lot of the things that we
1:25
Speaker 2: were talking about in regards to Cody Rhodes, in regards
1:29
Speaker 2: to Bailey and I simply put does w we have
1:33
Speaker 2: a creative problem booking their World champions And as we
1:36
Speaker 2: talked about here just now on the top of the show,
1:40
Speaker 2: we were interested in the direction of Cody Rhodes heading
1:43
Speaker 2: into Bash and Berlin. We were thinking maybe Cody and
1:45
Speaker 2: Roman tag together to take on Solo and Tematunga Tungaloa.
1:51
Speaker 2: Obviously they keep Jacob Fatu. Instead, they went to Cody
1:54
Speaker 2: Rhods versus Kevin Owens. Because Cody Roads simply wants to
1:57
Speaker 2: give Kevin Owens a time shot. Kevin Owens doesn't think
2:01
Speaker 2: he deserves it. They threaten to give it to Roman
2:04
Speaker 2: Reigns and then he was like, all right, I'll take it, basically,
2:07
Speaker 2: and now that is the match at Bash in Berlin,
2:10
Speaker 2: Gunther is defending his World Away Championship against a SmackDown
2:14
Speaker 2: star Because of the King of the Ring folly back
2:18
Speaker 2: in May, where Randy's shoulders weren't pinned. I actually like
2:22
Speaker 2: that a full disclosure right now. I actually like that
2:25
Speaker 2: they're circling back around in this. How they got there
2:28
Speaker 2: is kind of iffy, but I liked that they got
2:30
Speaker 2: back around to it. We discussed Bailey's in title title
2:35
Speaker 2: entire title run as the WA Women's Champion kind of
2:39
Speaker 2: falling short a little bit, being a little bit inadequate.
2:41
Speaker 2: Doctor Trey just pointed out the NXC Women's Championship. They're
2:45
Speaker 2: gonna have a I think a six woman gauntlet match
2:48
Speaker 2: for people who have never had a championship title match
2:51
Speaker 2: in their entire time in NXD this Tuesday's edition of NXC.
2:56
Speaker 2: If you look at the women's title on Raw the world,
3:00
Speaker 2: uh huh, what is it? The Women's World Championship on
3:04
Speaker 2: Raw Live in Rhea. That makes a ton of sense.
3:07
Speaker 2: I love the way that they booked that. But looking
3:10
Speaker 2: at the grand scheme of things now, Doctor Trey and
3:13
Speaker 2: we'd even see Naya on Friday's edition of SmackDown to
3:15
Speaker 2: follow up up on SummerSlam. As now she is the
3:19
Speaker 2: WA Women's Champion. I simply put in and out of
3:22
Speaker 2: the show last week. Does w we have a creative
3:25
Speaker 2: problem booking the world champions. I still think they do,
3:28
Speaker 2: because some of the hottest feuds outside of Rhea and
3:32
Speaker 2: Live Morgan right now all involve no championships whatsoever. What
3:37
Speaker 2: say you, my friend, We've had a week to think
3:39
Speaker 2: about it.
3:41
Speaker 3: See if this, if this conversation had been say pre SummerSlam,
3:46
Speaker 3: I would have appreached a little more patience because typically
3:50
Speaker 3: WRESTLEMANI is the culmination of all the rivalries, a year
3:55
Speaker 3: long build up, and then we start fresh. But we're
3:58
Speaker 3: post SummerSlam, and at this point usually you've kind of
4:02
Speaker 3: started to build the next hot guy to kind of
4:06
Speaker 3: come up to challenge the champions, and we really haven't
4:09
Speaker 3: done it. And like we're talking about last week, you know,
4:13
Speaker 3: when you have a guy like Gunther, who on his
4:15
Speaker 3: own show is maybe the fifth or sixth most over
4:18
Speaker 3: guy on his show, and he's the world champion, it
4:22
Speaker 3: makes anything he does right now, unless he's competing against
4:25
Speaker 3: one of those other top five guys, is going to
4:27
Speaker 3: be down the ladder. When you have Cody, who is
4:30
Speaker 3: arguably the face of your company, and you said last
4:34
Speaker 3: week that you felt he is the face of the company.
4:36
Speaker 3: Now he's going to be overshadowed by Roman and you
4:39
Speaker 3: don't have a hot heel to put him with. You
4:42
Speaker 3: have to make weird pivots I mean. And this ties
4:44
Speaker 3: into the Bailey stuff because even when Bailey won the title,
4:48
Speaker 3: her first few was her first match was really with Naomi,
4:51
Speaker 3: kind of the same thing we're seeing with Cody and
4:53
Speaker 3: Ko where it's like, hey, I'm going to give you
4:56
Speaker 3: an opportunity even though you really haven't done anything since
4:59
Speaker 3: you've been back, to deserve this.
5:02
Speaker 5: I don't know if it's a creative issue.
5:03
Speaker 3: With champions or just a creative issue with building other
5:08
Speaker 3: heels up to kind of like a heel without a
5:11
Speaker 3: group or a faction or something that's where Hey, whether
5:14
Speaker 3: it's the old school way, we need the monster of
5:16
Speaker 3: the Month club, or we need the next devious guy,
5:20
Speaker 3: or we need somebody, but really there's an issue with
5:24
Speaker 3: just heels.
5:25
Speaker 4: In WWE as a whole.
5:28
Speaker 3: And when your roster's loaded with a lot of top
5:31
Speaker 3: babyface guys, you kind of need somebody for those guys
5:34
Speaker 3: to fight, and right now we just don't have anybody.
5:37
Speaker 2: Yeah, It's it's a really interesting thing that's going on
5:41
Speaker 2: right now. I kind of think when you look at
5:43
Speaker 2: the SmackDown side, then the way that Cody Roads has
5:45
Speaker 2: been booked. I've been very adamant that coming out of WrestleMania,
5:50
Speaker 2: I have not been the biggest fan of the Cody
5:53
Speaker 2: Roads booking. I like the stuff with AJ Styles, The
5:57
Speaker 2: Logan Paul match for Saudi Arabia was just to appease
6:00
Speaker 2: the Saudi Arabian audience. The stuff with Solozaka, the bloodline
6:05
Speaker 2: that made sense going in SummerSlam, coming out of it
6:07
Speaker 2: again now Bash in Berlin, it's like he's he's stagnant,
6:11
Speaker 2: and I think that there are easier ways to go
6:14
Speaker 2: and say we're gonna put Kevin Owens in this match,
6:17
Speaker 2: other than just saying I want to give you a
6:19
Speaker 2: title shot. Like I thought, that was very very strange,
6:23
Speaker 2: Doctor Trey. I mean, how do you not do a
6:25
Speaker 2: number one contenders match, How do you not have Kevin
6:27
Speaker 2: Owens versus Solo, versus AJ Styles versus La Knight, whomever,
6:32
Speaker 2: or do a little mini tournament to build to Bash
6:35
Speaker 2: in Berlin so that Kevin Owens comes off that he
6:37
Speaker 2: does deserve this opportunity. I think Owen's just saying he
6:42
Speaker 2: doesn't deserve it and kind of you can't disagree with
6:47
Speaker 2: him in a sense because the way that he's been
6:49
Speaker 2: booked and he's gotten a lot of losses lately, it's
6:54
Speaker 2: just it's just strange. And again, I didn't know if
6:57
Speaker 2: it was a Cody problem specifically, but I I think
7:00
Speaker 2: it's a World Champions problem right now. And it's almost
7:04
Speaker 2: like WDWI has booked so heavily into the Bloodline storyline
7:08
Speaker 2: that they are focusing on some of that and the
7:10
Speaker 2: World titles taking a back seat on Raw. Maybe Punk
7:15
Speaker 2: Drew McIntyre is leading the charge ahead of stuff with Gunther.
7:18
Speaker 2: Certainly you saw that kind of play out in the
7:20
Speaker 2: segment this past week. I mean there's so many different directions,
7:24
Speaker 2: Like I get doing the orton gun through match, but
7:29
Speaker 2: I would have liked to got in there other than
7:31
Speaker 2: him just coming out and challenge him to a match
7:32
Speaker 2: and Yaomi won, Like I would have loved. Bronson Reid
7:36
Speaker 2: took out Seth Rollins two weeks ago, Great Bronson Reid
7:39
Speaker 2: took out Our Truth this week. Great put Bronson Reid
7:43
Speaker 2: in the match with Gunther, Like Gunther's gonna enter Berlin
7:46
Speaker 2: as the hometown favorite, Like put him in there against
7:50
Speaker 2: the heel Bronson Reid and make Bronson look great and
7:55
Speaker 2: Gunher delivers in a great match. Gunher gets a victory,
7:58
Speaker 2: but Bronson looks still pretty strong. That what made sense
8:01
Speaker 2: to me. It just I feel like we're in a
8:04
Speaker 2: stagnant time for w William. We're just kind of in
8:08
Speaker 2: a holding pattern right now for bigger stuff that's going
8:10
Speaker 2: to take place down the line, for Cody Rhodes, for
8:14
Speaker 2: Gunther whomever. At this point.
8:19
Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, like let's just looking at a SmackDown and
8:21
Speaker 3: we not only we have the Cody giving you know,
8:24
Speaker 3: Ko the match, but if you want to see the issue,
8:27
Speaker 3: you have the brand new United States Champion and the
8:29
Speaker 3: first person that they bring up to have him to
8:32
Speaker 3: have challenge him is Santos Escobar. Like, that's your number
8:37
Speaker 3: two singles heel right now, that's not in the bloodline,
8:40
Speaker 3: Like that's the number or is he the number one heel?
8:44
Speaker 3: I mean, that's your number two title. That's your hot
8:47
Speaker 3: baby face United States Champion. And the first person you
8:50
Speaker 3: have him pair off Agains is saying, now, that's not
8:53
Speaker 3: a knock on Santo's as a performer.
8:55
Speaker 4: It's just that.
8:57
Speaker 3: Really since the LWO and you know, went the wrong,
9:00
Speaker 3: like Santos really hasn't done much, and then it just
9:03
Speaker 3: feels like they don't keep their heels as strong unless
9:09
Speaker 3: it's Gunther Like the whole thing with Bronton. Reid's great
9:13
Speaker 3: for the last two weeks, but where was this for
9:16
Speaker 3: the previous six months that he's been on the show,
9:19
Speaker 3: Like they just really have a hard time building up
9:22
Speaker 3: heels unless they're part of a faction, and then for
9:24
Speaker 3: some reason it's like we have to do faction against faction,
9:28
Speaker 3: Like legitimately, you just let Bobby Lashley.
9:31
Speaker 5: Walk out the door? How great would Bobby Lashley and
9:34
Speaker 5: Cody b for Berlow?
9:35
Speaker 2: Wowint Man, you.
9:37
Speaker 3: Know something like that, Like you weren't doing anything with them.
9:40
Speaker 3: You could have resigned them even for a short term,
9:43
Speaker 3: put them in this angle. And these guys have history
9:45
Speaker 3: from God forbid hena Impact game, so it wouldn't even
9:49
Speaker 3: be like a first time match like this is something
9:51
Speaker 3: that happened in Impact, so like there's some history there
9:54
Speaker 3: as well. But otherwise what are you going to do? Like,
9:57
Speaker 3: like how how does this whole thing play?
9:58
Speaker 5: Like this? Cody Ando is just a filler until.
10:03
Speaker 3: We get more bloodline drama to add Cody to the
10:06
Speaker 3: mix or Kao does something else, or you know, it's
10:09
Speaker 3: just it's very confusing when you look at that ross
10:12
Speaker 3: and you're like, Okay, well AJ's not doing anything right now,
10:14
Speaker 3: so he's not available. He could have cycled at least
10:17
Speaker 3: that backup to give Cody something to do.
10:20
Speaker 2: You want all last fails break Aj styles glass.
10:23
Speaker 5: Yeah, you know, in case of emergency, you know.
10:26
Speaker 3: And but just the fact that you know Carmelo Hayes,
10:30
Speaker 3: you know that we could have revisited that and you
10:32
Speaker 3: could have helped build Carmelo up at least in the meantime,
10:35
Speaker 3: or Carmelo in La Knight. You know, like there's just
10:38
Speaker 3: a heel issue in WWE outside of maybe the bloodline
10:43
Speaker 3: Gunther and Drew in a little bit and now Finn,
10:47
Speaker 3: but really maybe raws just too loaded. I don't know
10:52
Speaker 3: what the fix is because they just SmackDown's done a
10:55
Speaker 3: great job with the bloodline stuff, and you know, the
10:57
Speaker 3: La Night Logan Paul stuff was pretty decent. But really,
11:00
Speaker 3: you look at that show from from top to bottom,
11:02
Speaker 3: they're just every champion feels stagnant. The tag team divisions
11:06
Speaker 3: feels stagnant, Women's division feels stagnant. It is just the
11:10
Speaker 3: whole to me that there's more of an issue with
11:12
Speaker 3: that show than really anything else.
11:16
Speaker 2: And the other thing, too, is if you're in a
11:17
Speaker 2: holding pattern right now, then what I would be doing
11:20
Speaker 2: or what I'd like to see as a wrestling fan
11:23
Speaker 2: is elevating new stars. And you may hate me for
11:26
Speaker 2: this idea, but as we were talking about it, Doctor Trey,
11:29
Speaker 2: I could get behind Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens being
11:32
Speaker 2: in a match with a world title on the line.
11:34
Speaker 2: But why don't you add maybe Grayson Waller and Austin
11:38
Speaker 2: Theory in there. You make it a fatal four way.
11:39
Speaker 2: Those two guys have had like this weird quasi. They
11:42
Speaker 2: may not They may be breaking up soon in Austin
11:45
Speaker 2: Theory may becoming a babyface. Uh, Grayson Waller may becoming
11:48
Speaker 2: a heel. I think the Grayson Waller heel run has
11:51
Speaker 2: a lot of upside to it if they execute it
11:54
Speaker 2: rather soon. I think he has a lot of upside
11:56
Speaker 2: to be in an uppercard, mid main event level picture
11:59
Speaker 2: as a really really good heel. And Austin Theory is
12:03
Speaker 2: a babyface. I don't know if I could get behind that,
12:05
Speaker 2: but that would be interesting. Like you do a match
12:08
Speaker 2: where Cody and Kevin Owens are all of a sudden
12:10
Speaker 2: they have a running with atown down under behind the
12:13
Speaker 2: scenes in the backstage area, and that leads to a
12:15
Speaker 2: match on SmackDown which then gets blown apart in a
12:19
Speaker 2: double disqualification, and they decided to make a fatal four
12:23
Speaker 2: way match at Bash and Berlin for the toddle on
12:25
Speaker 2: the line, and you're using Kevin, you're using Cody'd helped
12:28
Speaker 2: elevate Austin theory, and Grayson Waller is as legitimate heels
12:33
Speaker 2: on the SmackDown brand. That would be something new and different.
12:36
Speaker 2: It really seems to me that I felt like the
12:40
Speaker 2: direction was going to be Randy and Cody coming out
12:43
Speaker 2: of SummerSlam, and I think that may have been where
12:47
Speaker 2: the tee leaves were heading. But with the stuff going
12:49
Speaker 2: on with Judgment Day on Raw, with the stuff going
12:52
Speaker 2: on with Bloodline on SmackDown, they had to change things
12:55
Speaker 2: around a little bit, because, as you pointed out, you know,
12:58
Speaker 2: it's not just the heel problem on the SmackDown side
13:00
Speaker 2: outside of like the major storylines, We're having that problem
13:03
Speaker 2: on Raw as well. And I wonder, just talking out loud,
13:06
Speaker 2: doctor Trey, I wonder if the seth rollins injury, so
13:11
Speaker 2: he's he's injured and it's only gonna be a short
13:13
Speaker 2: period of time. I wonder if that has played a
13:15
Speaker 2: role into it where they had to change things around.
13:17
Speaker 2: That almost makes sense, as I'm talking out loud, that
13:21
Speaker 2: could have changed things up a little bit and made
13:24
Speaker 2: gun Through go this way with Orton from SmackDown and
13:26
Speaker 2: then made Kevin Owens go with Cody Rhoades like I don't.
13:30
Speaker 2: I mean, these matches at Bash and Berlin are gonna
13:33
Speaker 2: be solid, They're gonna be a lot of fun. I
13:34
Speaker 2: think the feud build is gonna be decent. It's just
13:37
Speaker 2: how we got there coming out of SummerSlam. It's like, uh,
13:40
Speaker 2: how do we do this? So it just it just
13:43
Speaker 2: leads creed into the discussion we had on last week's
13:45
Speaker 2: show We're caring over right now, is do they have
13:48
Speaker 2: a creative problem booking their world champions Because outside of
13:53
Speaker 2: some you know, really good storylines that may have had
13:57
Speaker 2: a world title involved for a little bit or not,
14:00
Speaker 2: whether it be the bloodline, whether it be Judgment Day,
14:02
Speaker 2: it's like Cody on his own kind of mediocre stuff
14:05
Speaker 2: right now, Gunther on his own very very short term
14:10
Speaker 2: is a little mediocre right now. I thought that they
14:13
Speaker 2: helped elevate that a lot this past Monday where they
14:16
Speaker 2: integrated the punk Drew McIntyre stuff in there. I think
14:19
Speaker 2: you saw Gunther backstage really pissed off with Randy Orton
14:22
Speaker 2: and everything that took place. Like, I liked that. Now,
14:26
Speaker 2: this is the tried and true discussion we always said
14:30
Speaker 2: to have. It reminds me of Ray Mysterio in two
14:32
Speaker 2: thousand and six, Ray finally climbed the mountain, won the
14:34
Speaker 2: world championship Freddie Garrow who had passed away months earlier,
14:38
Speaker 2: and then his world title run was kind of boring.
14:40
Speaker 2: Fans lost interest into it. The biggest thing that was
14:43
Speaker 2: going to play a major part in Cody Rhodes is
14:46
Speaker 2: once they finished the story, where do they go from here?
14:49
Speaker 2: And I know he said, well, the story's never finished,
14:51
Speaker 2: but I think in the eyes of the minds of
14:54
Speaker 2: the fans eye it is, so where do they go
14:57
Speaker 2: with Cody from here? Is really really interer. It's it's
15:02
Speaker 2: a challenge and I do not envy the creative team
15:04
Speaker 2: right now.
15:06
Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, especially if if you know the old
15:08
Speaker 3: saying was when WrestleMania, and you're already kind of putting
15:12
Speaker 3: the next year's WrestleMania card in place, and if on
15:15
Speaker 3: that card you're looking at, you know, let's just say
15:18
Speaker 3: Cody and Rock like you're trying to get to that,
15:22
Speaker 3: you know, or something like that. Like it's really hard
15:26
Speaker 3: to backfill everything in for a year because obviously you
15:30
Speaker 3: want Cody to have a decent run with the title.
15:33
Speaker 3: You're hoping you don't have to take it off of
15:35
Speaker 3: him between now and WrestleMania. But you know, at the
15:38
Speaker 3: same time, you have to kind of go like, here's
15:40
Speaker 3: our here's our roster, here's our our pecking order. We
15:44
Speaker 3: need to make sure that this thing stays pretty even
15:47
Speaker 3: between the heels and baby faces.
15:48
Speaker 4: And we've seen that.
15:50
Speaker 3: You know, you and I have been doing this show
15:51
Speaker 3: for a very very long time, and we've seen times
15:54
Speaker 3: like this where somebody gets hot and you feel like,
15:56
Speaker 3: oh crap, he has to go be a baby face,
16:00
Speaker 3: and it throws off the entirety of the show because
16:03
Speaker 3: you don't have that balance, you don't have strong babyfaces
16:06
Speaker 3: and strong heels. It feels overloaded from.
16:10
Speaker 4: Time to time.
16:10
Speaker 3: So it is kind of just you know, a machination
16:15
Speaker 3: of the machine where you know, all of a sudden
16:17
Speaker 3: you just flip Damien Priest to a babyface and then
16:22
Speaker 3: you know, you know, Gunh. You're trying to keep Gunther
16:25
Speaker 3: getting booed, so you have to put them with a
16:26
Speaker 3: strong baby face. In Berlin, if you put it with
16:29
Speaker 3: a Bronton read, then the crowd's gonna cheer for him,
16:31
Speaker 3: and then the American crowd might think that, oh crap,
16:34
Speaker 3: we like Gunther too now, and then Gunther ends up being.
16:37
Speaker 4: A weird baby face.
16:38
Speaker 3: Like you kind of have to be careful because of
16:41
Speaker 3: how you put guys together because the crowds. Crowds are fickle,
16:45
Speaker 3: to use an old Daniel Bryant saying, crowds are very fickle.
16:48
Speaker 3: Uh So, just depending on your booking, the whole thing
16:52
Speaker 3: can turned around. Because I don't really think them getting
16:56
Speaker 3: to where they got with Damian Priest was the plan
17:00
Speaker 3: until the crowd started to get behind him, and then
17:03
Speaker 3: oddly enough he starts wrestling more and more like Undertaker.
17:06
Speaker 3: So I don't know if that was the case or not.
17:08
Speaker 3: But the strap's coming down and everything else is very reminiscent,
17:11
Speaker 3: but it's just maybe poor short term planning to try
17:17
Speaker 3: to get to the long term storyline sometimes where stuff
17:20
Speaker 3: like this happens.
17:21
Speaker 2: Yeah, I think they got a problem. I think David
17:23
Speaker 2: always a creative problem booking their world champions right now.
17:25
Speaker 2: I mean, the Bronson Reid short term build should not
17:28
Speaker 2: be better than Gunther, and I know it's two different things,
17:31
Speaker 2: and it's like it perks mind just a lot more
17:33
Speaker 2: when they're getting bronze and read over versus Gunther, But
17:36
Speaker 2: Gunther I think should be built better in a very
17:40
Speaker 2: short period of time as a new world champion than
17:42
Speaker 2: Bronson Reid. And the same thing with like bron Breaker.
17:44
Speaker 2: I mean the build for bron Breaker on Rod's been
17:46
Speaker 2: really really good. Yet gon Thor was like a way
17:49
Speaker 2: off television for several weeks getting ready for SummerSlam. So
17:54
Speaker 2: it's all very interesting and it's just funny that this
17:57
Speaker 2: kind of like fell into our laps a little bit,
17:59
Speaker 2: just conversation and then literally that SmackDown the night after
18:04
Speaker 2: our podcast. It was like, Kevin, I want to give
18:07
Speaker 2: you a title shot. No, I don't want to take
18:09
Speaker 2: your title shot. Well, I'm going to go talk to Adam. Adam,
18:12
Speaker 2: I want to give Kevin a title shot. I think
18:13
Speaker 2: that's a great idea. Cody Kevin's like, I don't want
18:17
Speaker 2: the title shot, Well, then we're going to give the
18:19
Speaker 2: title shots to Roman. Well then I'm going to take
18:20
Speaker 2: the title shot. He doesn't deserve it. Okay, We've got
18:23
Speaker 2: our Matchum Passion Berlin and I'm like, what, Like, were
18:27
Speaker 2: they listening to the show and they were like, we
18:28
Speaker 2: want to give these two guys that do a little
18:30
Speaker 2: wrestling podcast some more fodder on their on their show
18:33
Speaker 2: the following week, because I know they mentioned at the
18:35
Speaker 2: end and here we are, So yeah, there's definitely created
18:38
Speaker 2: a problem with booking the World Champions. I just is
18:41
Speaker 2: it the title or is it the individual doctor try Yeah.
18:45
Speaker 3: By the way, why the hell was it Adam Priest
18:50
Speaker 3: on SmackDown.
18:52
Speaker 2: Excuse me nick All this? I said. I meant to say,
18:54
Speaker 2: nick All, this my apologies.
18:56
Speaker 5: I was like, I got thrown off for my apologies.
18:58
Speaker 4: Yes, but yeah, it's to me.
19:04
Speaker 3: I don't know if it's there's a problem with booking
19:08
Speaker 3: World Champions when you don't have anybody lined up dicks
19:11
Speaker 3: and maybe they thought the stuff.
19:12
Speaker 5: Maybe they thought.
19:13
Speaker 3: Roman was going to be away longer and they had
19:16
Speaker 3: planned to do a couple of things with Solo because
19:19
Speaker 3: to me, actually the whole Solo Roman thing felt a
19:21
Speaker 3: little rushed. It felt like because for a while it
19:24
Speaker 3: was the whole like I was talking to Roman, I'm
19:27
Speaker 3: the tribal chief while he's gone, and then all of
19:29
Speaker 3: a sudden he just turned. It was like, basy f Roman.
19:33
Speaker 3: Roman was weak. It's like when if this happened, it
19:35
Speaker 3: just came out of nowhere. So I don't know if
19:37
Speaker 3: it was we were going to do Solo and Cody
19:39
Speaker 3: for a couple of shows, and then Roman was able
19:41
Speaker 3: to come back earlier, and so it changed the booking
19:44
Speaker 3: as well for this because if you got Cody and
19:47
Speaker 3: Solo for a couple shows like for summerslamb Berlin, and
19:53
Speaker 3: then the following month then Roman returns leading into Survivor series,
19:58
Speaker 3: that timeline would have made more sense.
20:00
Speaker 5: But instead, to me.
20:01
Speaker 3: That whole Loveline thing kind of came out of I
20:05
Speaker 3: don't say that out of left field, but it happened
20:07
Speaker 3: a lot sooner than I expected it too.
20:10
Speaker 2: Agreed. I agree. So, yeah, it's interesting times for the
20:14
Speaker 2: creative team. We often praise them lately, but you got
20:17
Speaker 2: to point out when it's like a little bit confusing
20:19
Speaker 2: as well, and I think they're in a very weird
20:21
Speaker 2: time and I think they'll get I certainly believe they
20:24
Speaker 2: will get to a great spot. But right now, in
20:26
Speaker 2: the dog days of summer, there's a little bit of
20:29
Speaker 2: like head tilt a little bit when it comes to
20:31
Speaker 2: certain people in their storylines and they hold world titles,
20:34
Speaker 2: and it's like, I think they're got a problem book
20:36
Speaker 2: in the World champions right now, because that's certainly how
20:38
Speaker 2: it looks like, because if Judgment Day is outperforming and
20:42
Speaker 2: I know Live and Really have a world title in there,
20:44
Speaker 2: and that is a case that is where they are
20:46
Speaker 2: not having a creative problem. But I think that is
20:49
Speaker 2: a grander scale of everything. And yeah, it's it's just
20:54
Speaker 2: really strange. So the number one contender for the World
20:58
Speaker 2: aweight Championship on Raw is SmackDown's own Randy Orton. He
21:02
Speaker 2: had a sit down interview with Cody Rhoads for his
21:05
Speaker 2: new YouTube show like something to talk About or what
21:10
Speaker 2: the hell is the thing that Cody always says, what
21:13
Speaker 2: do you want to talk about? And they brought up
21:16
Speaker 2: John Cena's retirement run and he said he wants one
21:19
Speaker 2: more run with John Cena. He said, John is kind
21:23
Speaker 2: of like going in an organic way of of how
21:25
Speaker 2: this has all got to take place, but he thinks
21:27
Speaker 2: he's got to get there at some point. And when
21:29
Speaker 2: you look at John Cena's career, like I think the
21:34
Speaker 2: rock to his Austin is Randy Orton, I think there
21:38
Speaker 2: are people out there that will make the case that
21:40
Speaker 2: edge is in there as well, and I would agree,
21:43
Speaker 2: But those two guys were the flag bearers for the company,
21:48
Speaker 2: you know, in the early to mid two thousands till
21:52
Speaker 2: the mid twenty tens, Like those were the two guys
21:55
Speaker 2: that were running the show. And I think Randy mentions
21:59
Speaker 2: in the clip that I watch that I know at
22:01
Speaker 2: times it was like being shoved down fans throat and
22:04
Speaker 2: it was like too much and people were getting sick
22:06
Speaker 2: of it. And I was like, oh yeah, I remember
22:07
Speaker 2: those times where it was like we're getting another Randy
22:09
Speaker 2: Orton John Cena match on Raw, We're getting another Randy
22:12
Speaker 2: Orton John Cena match on a pay per view. But
22:15
Speaker 2: it's like nostalgia tells me Doctor Trey that I would
22:18
Speaker 2: love to see one more run. And when I think
22:20
Speaker 2: of people, I would love to see Johnson have a
22:23
Speaker 2: little mini feud with a match with There are people
22:26
Speaker 2: saying that they want to see this at WrestleMania. I
22:29
Speaker 2: personally would have see him punk in there as well,
22:32
Speaker 2: but I think it's I think it's Randy Orton, doctor Trey.
22:35
Speaker 2: So do we want to see Randy Orton have one
22:39
Speaker 2: more run in twenty twenty five with John Cena for
22:41
Speaker 2: old time sake? Uh?
22:43
Speaker 4: Yeah, I would be opposed to it.
22:44
Speaker 3: I mean between the YouTube thing with Cody and then
22:48
Speaker 3: the little promo back and forth with Gunther and him,
22:51
Speaker 3: you know, bringing up fifteen times and stuff like that.
22:55
Speaker 3: I mean, fourteen times going to be fifteen times all
22:57
Speaker 3: that stuff like in twenty years in the company, Like
23:02
Speaker 3: Randy can still go and Sena can still pretty much go.
23:07
Speaker 3: I know the last match we saw him in was
23:09
Speaker 3: the solo match and then you know the Austin Theory match.
23:12
Speaker 3: But you know, Scenic can can pump it up. I
23:15
Speaker 3: think what he feels like he has to pump it up,
23:17
Speaker 3: so you know, to have one more run with those guys,
23:21
Speaker 3: a little bit of the one instead of what was
23:26
Speaker 3: the one?
23:26
Speaker 5: The one and done with Rock and then actually became
23:29
Speaker 5: the second one?
23:29
Speaker 2: Was they was eight and twenty nine I was at
23:33
Speaker 2: twenty nine, but twenty eight was the one and only
23:35
Speaker 2: match or whatever.
23:36
Speaker 5: Yeah, but once in a life.
23:40
Speaker 2: Until we do it the next year.
23:41
Speaker 5: Yeah.
23:42
Speaker 4: But I mean, you know, and then we had the.
23:44
Speaker 3: Best wrestling match ever with Randy and Edge. I mean,
23:47
Speaker 3: we could do something like Sena and Norton Last Time
23:49
Speaker 3: Ever type thing. Yeah.
23:51
Speaker 2: Yeah, and that has a lot of credence to it, right,
23:54
Speaker 2: that's a lot of build I think fans were being
23:56
Speaker 2: clamoring for.
23:57
Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, and I think for the guys in
24:00
Speaker 3: the fans in their late twenties, early thirties that kind
24:04
Speaker 3: of grew up on the Sena Ordon era, like, I
24:07
Speaker 3: think they'd be all on board for it, and I don't.
24:09
Speaker 4: I wouldn't be a poser.
24:10
Speaker 3: I'd love if somehow Randy did win the title and
24:14
Speaker 3: then that match with Sena would be for Sina to
24:17
Speaker 3: break the Flair record or you know, for Randy to
24:21
Speaker 3: hang on to it.
24:23
Speaker 5: You know.
24:24
Speaker 3: I know this is a little side thing here, but
24:26
Speaker 3: I was thinking about this this this week as I
24:28
Speaker 3: was watching Raw and Smack Down everything else, Like Orton
24:32
Speaker 3: twenty years in the company, you know, fourteen world titles.
24:35
Speaker 3: But I don't know if at any point in the
24:39
Speaker 3: twenty years he.
24:40
Speaker 4: Was the guy.
24:41
Speaker 3: And I don't know if there's anybody else that has
24:44
Speaker 3: that kind of resume where it's like the guys and
24:49
Speaker 3: you know, arguably Mount Rushmore, you know, arguably top ten
24:53
Speaker 3: all time, but was never the guy in WWE. So
24:58
Speaker 3: that's like he maybe he's the best. I don't want
25:01
Speaker 3: to say this, it sounds hurtful. Maybe Grandior is the
25:04
Speaker 3: best B plus wrestler of all time.
25:06
Speaker 2: I think to me, Doctor Trey, that Sina was Hogan,
25:10
Speaker 2: Orton was Savage.
25:12
Speaker 3: Yeah, but even Savage well did any.
25:15
Speaker 2: But Orton had a similar run there, like when Sina
25:17
Speaker 2: was away or they would put the title on Orton
25:20
Speaker 2: and let him be the face for a while. There
25:22
Speaker 2: was a period of time where they tried to he
25:25
Speaker 2: was one of the hottest baby faces at a period
25:26
Speaker 2: of time I think was after I think it was
25:28
Speaker 2: twenty ten, Like when we first started the show, he
25:30
Speaker 2: was super over as a babyface. And I've always maybe
25:36
Speaker 2: like the rock to the Austin I think on the
25:38
Speaker 2: rivalry side makes sense, but I think when you look
25:41
Speaker 2: at their like the Ladder of w WA, I felt
25:44
Speaker 2: like Sina's Hogan, Orton's Savage.
25:48
Speaker 5: Orton is kind of a victim of Sena's longevity.
25:51
Speaker 4: Would that be an accurate way of stating.
25:53
Speaker 2: It in a way, But it was around so long
25:57
Speaker 2: each person, but each person made the other one better.
26:02
Speaker 2: Like I think they obviously they ran that few down
26:05
Speaker 2: our throats. But I think when you look at some
26:07
Speaker 2: of the greatest rivalries in professional wrestling in the last
26:10
Speaker 2: twenty five years, I mean longevity wise, importance, how they
26:16
Speaker 2: carried the company, how they carried the business, what they
26:19
Speaker 2: did for the future. I mean I think it's Sina Orton.
26:24
Speaker 3: Yeah, no, I mean I like you said, like I
26:26
Speaker 3: love the Hogan Savage comparison. I just I was the
26:30
Speaker 3: thinking about it, Like I was, like, I don't remember
26:32
Speaker 3: a time when Randy was the face of the company.
26:37
Speaker 3: You know, it's always like there was Orton, but even
26:40
Speaker 3: I mean there was Seena. But even when Orton would
26:41
Speaker 3: get hot, you had Batista right there as well. For
26:44
Speaker 3: a little while, Batista was the face of the company.
26:47
Speaker 3: So like it just Randy falls in that weird crack
26:50
Speaker 3: where because of you know, seen his longevity and how
26:54
Speaker 3: long Sena was on top four, it kind of pushed
26:56
Speaker 3: Randy down a little bit. And made him and we
26:59
Speaker 3: talked about like rand maybe the bet one of the
27:01
Speaker 3: best soldiers of all time when it comes to wrestling,
27:03
Speaker 3: much like Jericho was. It's just was like man, twenty years,
27:07
Speaker 3: fourteen world titles, and I just don't know if I
27:09
Speaker 3: could ever say that there was a period of time
27:12
Speaker 3: like it was never for a year where Orton was
27:16
Speaker 3: the guy, like it was always in short bursts.
27:19
Speaker 2: But I mean, to be fair, like Randy was, he's
27:22
Speaker 2: a better heel, Like he's great now because he's like
27:24
Speaker 2: completely being himself and he doesn't give a shit and
27:27
Speaker 2: the fans are embracing him in that sense. I think
27:29
Speaker 2: I think everybody sees the riding in the wall, even
27:31
Speaker 2: though I think Orton just signed like a five year
27:32
Speaker 2: contract I'd read the other day like an extension, Like
27:35
Speaker 2: everybody see, but this could be his last contract. In
27:38
Speaker 2: all honesty, I think a lot of people see and
27:40
Speaker 2: just appreciate what Orton has done. I mean, Orton can
27:42
Speaker 2: turn heel tomorrow, and I think fans will still be
27:45
Speaker 2: happy with him. Like even when he was doing stuff
27:47
Speaker 2: with Edge, people were still like, oh man, this is
27:50
Speaker 2: some of the best Randy Orton stuff. It was like
27:52
Speaker 2: when Sina won the United States Championship back in sixteen
27:55
Speaker 2: seventeen whenever. That was during the SmackDown Live era, and
27:58
Speaker 2: we were sitting here no sooner than that. It was
28:01
Speaker 2: like fourteen fifteen when he faced Kevin Owens, and we're like,
28:04
Speaker 2: I think this is the best we've seen of John Cena.
28:06
Speaker 2: And it's because they were out of the world title
28:08
Speaker 2: picture and you were just kind of appreciating their en
28:11
Speaker 2: ring stuff. They weren't the a player, they weren't the
28:13
Speaker 2: person that's in the main event every single night, and
28:15
Speaker 2: you were just watching them work and you're like, damn,
28:17
Speaker 2: scene is good. And I feel like that's how people
28:19
Speaker 2: have been with Orton for like the last ten years now.
28:22
Speaker 3: Yeah, And you know, we talked about this a coop
28:25
Speaker 3: weeks ago, like if Orton did try to turn heel
28:27
Speaker 3: at any point, I think the fans will still just
28:29
Speaker 3: cheer for him because.
28:30
Speaker 4: He's in that I don't know what.
28:33
Speaker 3: I don't know if there's anybody else who's been like,
28:35
Speaker 3: you know, we did get that SNA love the last
28:39
Speaker 3: couple of years, but it was basically gonna be kind
28:40
Speaker 3: of went part time for a guy like Randy right now,
28:43
Speaker 3: who's basically been back for about a year since he's
28:46
Speaker 3: been back maybe a little over a year since return
28:49
Speaker 3: of the injury, like he can do no wrong and
28:52
Speaker 3: he's he I think it's weird because you see him
28:54
Speaker 3: and you're absolutely right, like he's just having fun and
28:56
Speaker 3: not giving a crap and the fans eat that up.
28:59
Speaker 3: But it's like I think he he recognizes that he's
29:03
Speaker 3: not it's not so much borrow time, but this is
29:05
Speaker 3: like a second second life for him right now in
29:08
Speaker 3: this run where it was never guaranteed that he was
29:11
Speaker 3: gonna come back from those injuries, and he's just like,
29:13
Speaker 3: I'm just gonna have a blast with it.
29:15
Speaker 4: I'm gonna have fun.
29:16
Speaker 3: And the line that he used with GUNTHERER there and
29:19
Speaker 3: I where he was like I got five kids and
29:21
Speaker 3: a smoke show wife at home, Like that was him
29:25
Speaker 3: saying I could quit tomorrow and I'm fine, but I
29:29
Speaker 3: love this too much and you can see it, and
29:31
Speaker 3: I think, right, like you're absolutely right, Like I don't
29:32
Speaker 3: I don't think, you know, short of I don't know
29:35
Speaker 3: if there's a baby face on the roster that he
29:37
Speaker 3: could attack or the crowd would kind of turn, you know,
29:39
Speaker 3: And I think of even if he turned on Cody,
29:42
Speaker 3: it would be kind of like Becky and Charlotte, where
29:44
Speaker 3: when Becky turned on Charlotte to turn her heel and
29:47
Speaker 3: the crowd was like, Nope, we like her more. I
29:49
Speaker 3: think it'd be going with the same thing if Randy
29:51
Speaker 3: did turn on Cody in the next few months, that
29:53
Speaker 3: the crowd would just be like, no, we still like
29:55
Speaker 3: Randy Moore, so yeah, we'll just boom Cody instead.
29:58
Speaker 2: I think they eventually get there, and I think the
29:59
Speaker 2: way they get there's just like a respect thing between
30:02
Speaker 2: the two of them. I do not think it's like
30:03
Speaker 2: a turn from Reindeor and I would be surprised by
30:06
Speaker 2: that because I think we see that way too much
30:09
Speaker 2: in wrestling nowadays, where there has to be like this
30:11
Speaker 2: personal animosity turn, and I think it's gonna be more
30:14
Speaker 2: of a respect thing. Should we get to orton Cody,
30:17
Speaker 2: which I think we eventually do by years en, I
30:20
Speaker 2: feel like that is the few that carries Cody into
30:22
Speaker 2: like rumble in regards to Raindort and something I was
30:26
Speaker 2: thinking about too, if you look from two thousand and
30:28
Speaker 2: two to about like twenty twelve, I don't think he
30:32
Speaker 2: was ever the guy because the company could not trust him.
30:36
Speaker 2: And this is stuff that's like really well documented. I
30:38
Speaker 2: remember it was like talking about in his A and
30:39
Speaker 2: E biography and it's twofold. One is something that he
30:43
Speaker 2: had no control over. He was getting injured often. He
30:45
Speaker 2: had the shoulder issues and he was getting hurt, he
30:47
Speaker 2: had the back problems. And then the second thing was attitude.
30:51
Speaker 2: His attitude was piss poor. Whenever they put him in media,
30:53
Speaker 2: it was like he was a complete dick, admittedly. And
30:56
Speaker 2: then the last thing was is addiction to painkillers. I mean,
31:01
Speaker 2: he was suspended multiple times. He was one suspension away
31:05
Speaker 2: from being fired by w W. So I think he
31:08
Speaker 2: was never the guy doctor Trey. And this may be
31:11
Speaker 2: forgotten about from a business standpoint when Sena was on
31:13
Speaker 2: top because the company could not trust him to carry
31:16
Speaker 2: that torch like they may have wanted to when Sina
31:20
Speaker 2: was in and out of the company, or they needed
31:22
Speaker 2: a refresh of John Cena being at top for a
31:25
Speaker 2: little bit.
31:26
Speaker 3: Yeah, that was just one of the things where when
31:27
Speaker 3: you watch that promo, Gunther, I'm like, man, you a
31:30
Speaker 3: fourteen time World CHAMPI there's not a lot of guys
31:33
Speaker 3: above six, you know, and those guys who above were
31:37
Speaker 3: up above six have like maybe Edge was never the
31:42
Speaker 3: guy in WWE, but outside of that, everybody else who's
31:46
Speaker 3: had that many runs, at least at some point was
31:50
Speaker 3: the focal point of the show for an extended period
31:53
Speaker 3: of time, maybe outside of Randy and and like I said,
31:56
Speaker 3: maybe Edged to a degree as.
31:58
Speaker 2: Well, Doctor Trey. There are people out there, and this
32:00
Speaker 2: is a podcast in itself, so I don't want to
32:02
Speaker 2: get too deep into it, but there are people out
32:03
Speaker 2: there that will say that Triple H was new for
32:06
Speaker 2: the guy either.
32:08
Speaker 3: Yeah, except that I can go back and say that
32:09
Speaker 3: run he had with Flair, Batista and Orton, that was
32:15
Speaker 3: his time to be the guy.
32:17
Speaker 2: Like, but he was a heel. He wasn't like I
32:18
Speaker 2: think people look at the guy. I see. That's what
32:20
Speaker 2: I mean, Like this could be a podcast. I think
32:23
Speaker 2: people look at the guy as being like a babyface
32:26
Speaker 2: like Codeina.
32:28
Speaker 3: But Flair was the guy in NWA and he was
32:31
Speaker 3: the heel with the Horseman.
32:32
Speaker 2: I think people would argue that though. I think they
32:34
Speaker 2: would say that that Dusty was the guy and Sting
32:37
Speaker 2: was the guy.
32:39
Speaker 3: But you know, I still look at it as like
32:42
Speaker 3: the guy that you're making the money off of or
32:43
Speaker 3: the people you're either coming to see win or you're
32:47
Speaker 3: paying money to come see then get their off kicks.
32:49
Speaker 2: Was Piper the guy during the run with Hogan?
32:52
Speaker 4: No, it was still Hogan.
32:53
Speaker 2: See. I mean that's the thing I feel like. Yeah,
32:55
Speaker 2: I mean it's a Ying and a Yang deal. Again,
32:57
Speaker 2: this could be talked about it.
32:59
Speaker 5: People were coming.
33:00
Speaker 3: More people are paying money to see Hogan get his
33:02
Speaker 3: ass kicked than they were paying to see Piper do
33:05
Speaker 3: the ass kicking. Like we all want to see Piper
33:07
Speaker 3: kicking Hogan's ass, but more because we hated Hogan more
33:11
Speaker 3: than we love Piper that more.
33:13
Speaker 2: Sena Orton. Does it happen during the retirement run?
33:18
Speaker 4: Yeah? I think it does.
33:19
Speaker 3: I think you have to do. I think you'll see
33:21
Speaker 3: like Sina with a couple of the young guys and
33:23
Speaker 3: then cut with a couple of the stall warts, uh
33:27
Speaker 3: that he's had history with. I think you'll get sena
33:30
Speaker 3: Orton and you'll get a scene a punk, but you
33:31
Speaker 3: also might get Sena bron Breaker, you know, Sena Gunther.
33:36
Speaker 2: I think sena Orton happens as well, and I think
33:38
Speaker 2: it happens at WrestleMania Doctor Try.
33:42
Speaker 3: Yeah, I think the one thing I will say, thank
33:45
Speaker 3: Gods in here because that would be the world title match.
33:49
Speaker 4: That'd be It would be a world title match.
33:51
Speaker 2: I don't think if one of those guys would be
33:52
Speaker 2: comfortable with that at this point, but yes, I can
33:54
Speaker 2: understand that perspective. Keeping up with WWE here we did
33:59
Speaker 2: not talk about on last week's show with everything going on,
34:01
Speaker 2: but I want to talk about on this week's show.
34:03
Speaker 2: The Wyatt Six, Joe Gacy, Eric Rowan, and Exll Loomis
34:07
Speaker 2: made their en ring debut on last week's edition of Raw.
34:10
Speaker 2: Ten days ago. They defeated American Maid, the Creed Brothers
34:14
Speaker 2: and Chad Gable.
34:18
Speaker 4: Is.
34:18
Speaker 2: What is your thoughts on the n ring debut and
34:21
Speaker 2: their run so far early on Doctor Trey, Because I
34:25
Speaker 2: gotta admit, I don't think it's as going as well
34:28
Speaker 2: as I thought it was going to go.
34:30
Speaker 3: I thought their in ring performance was really really good,
34:34
Speaker 3: Like I love that each one of the guys, and
34:37
Speaker 3: this may be something I don't know if everybody picked
34:39
Speaker 3: up on or everybody did pick up on it. I
34:41
Speaker 3: really didn't get on social media much afterwards to kind.
34:44
Speaker 4: Of see the feedback play. Every single one.
34:47
Speaker 3: Of the guys did something that was either Bray or
34:51
Speaker 3: Brody you know, whether it's Gaycy upside down or littlemis
34:55
Speaker 3: doing his little slide thing. But that's very reminiscent. And
34:58
Speaker 3: even you know Rowan doing the shout out to Brody
35:01
Speaker 3: Lee as well. I like that part. I think the
35:04
Speaker 3: issue that you run into with this group, and this
35:07
Speaker 3: is something we've talked about the past, is when you
35:09
Speaker 3: have a group, or you have somebody who has their
35:16
Speaker 3: character is tended towards the dark side, that it's really
35:20
Speaker 3: hard for them to be believable babyfaces because they don't
35:23
Speaker 3: have obstacles to overcome.
35:24
Speaker 4: It was always one of the.
35:25
Speaker 3: Issues with you know, Taker when he was fighting smaller guys,
35:28
Speaker 3: which was like they needed a group or they needed
35:31
Speaker 3: to be you know this, you know, some underhanded way
35:34
Speaker 3: for you to feel like Taker could lose that match.
35:37
Speaker 5: Otherwise he had to fight.
35:38
Speaker 3: Big guys his side with a group like the Ya six,
35:41
Speaker 3: which outside of Rowan, none of them are giants. I mean,
35:45
Speaker 3: Loomis is a tall guy, Casey's dick, but like you
35:49
Speaker 3: just you have to feel like they have obstacles to
35:52
Speaker 3: overcome to cheer for them, and I just don't know
35:55
Speaker 3: if that's the ways to me, like, when you have
35:57
Speaker 3: characters like this, they're better being portrayed as as eels.
36:01
Speaker 4: But must we talking about Randy Orton.
36:03
Speaker 3: I don't know if fans could booth the Wyatts or
36:07
Speaker 3: the Whitat six with the history of the Wyatt family
36:11
Speaker 3: being like the direct lineage.
36:13
Speaker 2: Yeah, no, it I think the thing I like the
36:16
Speaker 2: end ring stuff. I thought that was good, and I
36:18
Speaker 2: thought they did a good job of kind of like
36:20
Speaker 2: address seeing that they're not gonna have like these supernatural
36:23
Speaker 2: powers type stuff like we saw in the beginning. The
36:26
Speaker 2: thing I'd like to see a little bit more dout
36:27
Speaker 2: Trey Is. I thought the obviously the Uncle Howdy bo
36:31
Speaker 2: Dallas and Eric Rowan vignettes were really well done. I
36:36
Speaker 2: was left wanting more with Joe Gacy, Dexter Loomis and
36:40
Speaker 2: Nicky Cross. Did you feel that way?
36:44
Speaker 3: Yeah, because I wanted Loomis to and I don't and
36:47
Speaker 3: I don't remember the video over Bayman saying with Jaycy's
36:50
Speaker 3: but like I wanted Loomis to lean in more into
36:54
Speaker 3: him being abandoned by the way and by Andy Hartwell
36:59
Speaker 3: and hell. I mean, now that we have TNA talk,
37:02
Speaker 3: you can talk about how he was abandoned by TNA,
37:04
Speaker 3: you know, and that's what led him to where he's
37:07
Speaker 3: at now. Saying with Joe Gacy, like he had his
37:11
Speaker 3: family that he had started to build, much like Bray
37:14
Speaker 3: Whyatt built his and then his whole family abandoned him
37:17
Speaker 3: in NXT and then how Uncle Howdie found him, Like
37:21
Speaker 3: you want to kind of feel for these guys and
37:23
Speaker 3: feel a connection and that understanding of abandonment, and that's
37:29
Speaker 3: how they got to where they're at now. And I
37:30
Speaker 3: don't think they did a great job with Loomis and
37:33
Speaker 3: Gaycy and Nicky Cross and that I mean, Nicky's been
37:36
Speaker 3: abandoned by everybody in WWE literally like herl like they
37:41
Speaker 3: fired her husband, her best friend's gone, Like they've done
37:44
Speaker 3: all this crazy stuff with her, and I just wanted
37:46
Speaker 3: some more of that. I think they did a great
37:48
Speaker 3: job with Bo and with Eric. I just don't think
37:51
Speaker 3: they did a great job with the other three members.
37:53
Speaker 2: Yeah, and I just feel like they're it's kind of
37:55
Speaker 2: like stop start a little bit with the Wyat sex.
37:58
Speaker 2: I don't know what's going on with the American Made feud.
38:01
Speaker 2: I don't know if that's done now, but i'd liked
38:04
Speaker 2: I would have liked to see more integration with them
38:06
Speaker 2: heading in the SummerSlam. I thought they should have been
38:07
Speaker 2: on the card somewhere somehow, some sort of segment even
38:12
Speaker 2: and I'd like some sort of clear, concrete plan with
38:15
Speaker 2: them going forward. And it's very funny, God rest his soul,
38:20
Speaker 2: but we loved bray Wyatt. And one of the big
38:23
Speaker 2: things that we always complained about when it came to
38:25
Speaker 2: bray Wyatt, whether he was The Fiend or his final
38:28
Speaker 2: run in we was like the way he was booked
38:32
Speaker 2: was like you see him for a couple of weeks,
38:34
Speaker 2: a couple of months, he'd go into a match at
38:37
Speaker 2: a peri view, then he woul disappear for a while,
38:39
Speaker 2: and that kind of booking never was good. And it's
38:43
Speaker 2: it's like, you know, we talked about earlier they have
38:46
Speaker 2: issues with a creative problem with with the World Champions.
38:48
Speaker 2: It's like, do they have a creative problem with booking
38:50
Speaker 2: anything whet, whether they're supernatural And it's it's eerily reminiscent
38:55
Speaker 2: to me as a fan watching at Home to the
38:58
Speaker 2: way that The Fiend was was was booked in the
39:00
Speaker 2: way that bray was booked. Towards the end of his
39:02
Speaker 2: fun to run with the company.
39:04
Speaker 3: Yeah, and lovely is it's there used to be the
39:07
Speaker 3: old story. It's really hard to book.
39:10
Speaker 4: Babyface giants like you think of. You know, we always
39:13
Speaker 4: joke about Big.
39:13
Speaker 3: Show and how many times they flipped them back and forth,
39:15
Speaker 3: because it's really hard to book somebody that the crowd
39:19
Speaker 3: can kind of, you know, cheer for if they're bigger
39:23
Speaker 3: and badder than everybody else, because there's no they don't
39:27
Speaker 3: show a flaw. There's one of the reasons why people
39:29
Speaker 3: had a hard time cheering for Sena, you know, for
39:32
Speaker 3: a long time, because he was Superman. It was hard
39:34
Speaker 3: to beat Superman. It's hard to beat Hulk Hogan in
39:36
Speaker 3: his era. It's hard to beat the Undertaker as well.
39:40
Speaker 3: Like you have to feel like there's a chance for
39:42
Speaker 3: these guys to be defeated. And that was the issue
39:46
Speaker 3: was with the issue that I had with the Fiend.
39:47
Speaker 3: I love the Fiend character, but he was almost unstoppable
39:52
Speaker 3: and when he did lose you and I was like,
39:53
Speaker 3: what the hell?
39:54
Speaker 4: That made zero sense?
39:55
Speaker 5: A La Goldberg.
39:57
Speaker 3: Beating the Fiend like you you almost have to make
40:01
Speaker 3: them heels just because they're so overpowered or they're so dominant.
40:06
Speaker 3: They need to slip up for them to lose. If
40:10
Speaker 3: a babyface slips up, we treat him like he's a
40:13
Speaker 3: dumb ass. So it's really hard to book characters like
40:17
Speaker 3: this for long term, especially if the crowd loves them.
40:22
Speaker 3: It's just like, well, what game, Like, what group could
40:24
Speaker 3: you throw up there right now against the Wyat six?
40:26
Speaker 3: And you're just like, all right, there's a chance they
40:29
Speaker 3: might get their asses. Kids, There's really not one. I mean,
40:32
Speaker 3: we just saw the Final Testament get beat up by
40:34
Speaker 3: one guy last week, you know, the blood line. Outside
40:39
Speaker 3: of that, there's not really a heel faction that you
40:41
Speaker 3: can look at and go, yeah, those guys could take
40:44
Speaker 3: the Wyat six. I mean, and dear God, typically I
40:48
Speaker 3: love faction nicknames. But American Made Jeff, you know me,
40:56
Speaker 3: That's all I wanted to hear. I just want to
40:57
Speaker 3: hear them change the word mail to maids.
41:02
Speaker 4: Like American made.
41:04
Speaker 3: American made its.
41:06
Speaker 2: Scottie Riggs and Buff Bagwell will show up in weird
41:10
Speaker 2: overalls with nineties glasses on and clapping above their heads.
41:14
Speaker 3: Not gonna like seeing Jack Gable in Paris this week.
41:17
Speaker 3: I got Scottie Riggs and Buff Bagwell vibe from him
41:21
Speaker 3: walking around in.
41:21
Speaker 2: Paris, American males Uh switching gears to AW and what
41:26
Speaker 2: kind of quasi awnwe Uh? There are several reportedly current
41:30
Speaker 2: AW stars that are contemplating and jump to w W.
41:34
Speaker 2: You've got the Luca Bros, pent and Ray Phoenix that
41:36
Speaker 2: are reports out there that Pents be in Orlando, that
41:38
Speaker 2: there's been discussions with WA already, that there's been a
41:41
Speaker 2: contract offer for both Penta and Ray Phoenix to join WI.
41:46
Speaker 4: Uh.
41:46
Speaker 2: There's the belief that Ricky Starks, once his AW deal
41:49
Speaker 2: is up, will be in W and Daniel Garcia, which
41:52
Speaker 2: at one time seemed like a foregone conclusion that he
41:54
Speaker 2: was going to be re signing with the company. They
41:56
Speaker 2: ran the angle where MJF took him out basically because
42:00
Speaker 2: his contracts coming up in October so he could return.
42:03
Speaker 2: What do you if he were signs with the company
42:05
Speaker 2: as like this huge hero or he was written off
42:08
Speaker 2: for good that now Daniel Garcia is reportedly conflicted about
42:11
Speaker 2: leaving W W or W for W A W four
42:14
Speaker 2: w W, Penta and Ray seemed to me, Doctor Trey
42:18
Speaker 2: that they are W bound Ray Phoenix. Excuse me, Ricky Starks.
42:22
Speaker 2: It seems to me that he is w bound. Daniel Garcia,
42:26
Speaker 2: I think he stays with AW. But your thoughts here
42:28
Speaker 2: on some of the names that are contemplating leaving AW
42:32
Speaker 2: for WE reportedly.
42:33
Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, I mean, what else can can Pena
42:37
Speaker 3: and Ray Phoenix do in AW? I mean short, I mean, obviously,
42:40
Speaker 3: I don't think either guys, you know, a world champion challenger,
42:45
Speaker 3: so I think they've kind of maxed out with the CAN.
42:47
Speaker 5: I think pens is one of those.
42:48
Speaker 3: I think Penta is one of the best in the
42:50
Speaker 3: world of kind of recognizing what his ceiling is in
42:53
Speaker 3: a company and knowing when to get out before stuff
42:57
Speaker 3: goes really south. I mean, they're they're in a comfortable
42:59
Speaker 3: spot there. I mean, you can put him in WWE,
43:02
Speaker 3: and and you know that helps spice of the tag
43:04
Speaker 3: team division. They know that WW can market mass wrestlers
43:09
Speaker 3: very very well as well, so that that to me
43:11
Speaker 3: seems like a logical spot. The Ricky Starks thing, I mean,
43:14
Speaker 3: dear God, I mean, the guy's literally trained the Nightmare
43:16
Speaker 3: Factory and in Jake Cargill's posting stuff about it, so
43:20
Speaker 3: that one seems like for gone.
43:21
Speaker 4: But Daniel Garcia one is interesting because you know.
43:24
Speaker 3: If you had asked me a year ago, I would
43:26
Speaker 3: have said there's no way he's going to w W E.
43:28
Speaker 3: And then he had this this run where he was dancing.
43:30
Speaker 6: And I was like, Okay, well, he's got a little
43:32
Speaker 6: bit of.
43:32
Speaker 4: The entertainment side to him.
43:33
Speaker 5: He could be more than just you know, the good
43:37
Speaker 5: wrestler type guy. But I almost feel like.
43:40
Speaker 3: He almost has too much respect for like the Brian Danielson's,
43:44
Speaker 3: that John Moxley's those guys, and and and being tight
43:48
Speaker 3: with mjf is it is gonna it be really hard
43:50
Speaker 3: for him to just jump ship.
43:53
Speaker 6: Completely because I don't know if he fits the w
43:57
Speaker 6: W fist or the w look in style, but I
44:01
Speaker 6: would say he's He's probably the one that I would
44:03
Speaker 6: say everybody you just mentioned, he's the one most likely
44:07
Speaker 6: to stay in AAW.
44:09
Speaker 2: Yeah. No, I can see that. I can understand that
44:11
Speaker 2: as well. I think all of these stars would be
44:15
Speaker 2: better suited in WE right now. Is that is that
44:18
Speaker 2: safe to say?
44:20
Speaker 5: I would say the way that that nxt uh.
44:24
Speaker 3: And to a degree, WWE have booked the guys that
44:28
Speaker 3: have made the jump from AW. It makes it really
44:32
Speaker 3: enticing to look at that now as a much more
44:34
Speaker 3: playable option.
44:35
Speaker 4: Than maybe a year ago. I mean, you take a guy.
44:38
Speaker 3: Like Ethan Page, who was buried at the bottom of
44:41
Speaker 3: aw's roster for a long time, and he's the NXT
44:44
Speaker 3: champion Lexis King. You know, even Sean Spears has gotten
44:49
Speaker 3: more run than maybe we thought he would an NXT.
44:52
Speaker 3: It makes it much more appealing to a guy like
44:54
Speaker 3: a Ricky starz Ortanier Garcia who are still young in
44:56
Speaker 3: their careers and go man, I could make that jump
44:58
Speaker 3: and least strike while the Irons hont because WW is
45:02
Speaker 3: super high right now. But you also have to take
45:06
Speaker 3: a new pants of consideration like yeah, with WW love
45:09
Speaker 3: to have you know, a Daniel Garcia because he's a
45:12
Speaker 3: great wrestler, absolutely, but can they bring more out of
45:16
Speaker 3: him to make him into their type of superstar. I
45:19
Speaker 3: think Ricky Stark pick All agree, is kind of the
45:22
Speaker 3: prototycable w W young, you know, young athletic wrestler that
45:25
Speaker 3: has all the skills that they can kind of capitalize on,
45:31
Speaker 3: you know, and then Penta and Phoenix just have a
45:33
Speaker 3: unique look. So I think Garcia would be the much
45:36
Speaker 3: the ones much more.
45:37
Speaker 4: Up in the air.
45:38
Speaker 3: But about any of those four guys, I'd be looking
45:40
Speaker 3: at that lancecape and go, yeah, I can make a mark,
45:42
Speaker 3: I can make an impact, and I can make a
45:44
Speaker 3: bigger name for myself in w w E than I
45:46
Speaker 3: can't hear in AAW.
45:47
Speaker 2: On next week's this is a show we will preview
45:49
Speaker 2: and predict AW all in in Wembley Stadium in London.
45:54
Speaker 2: Dave Meltzer recently, in regards to the Mariah May Tony
45:57
Speaker 2: Storm feud, said on Wrestling's Newsletter, quote, this is probably
46:01
Speaker 2: the best built AW feud in history and has and
46:04
Speaker 2: has made Storm's career. That's trade. Do you agree or
46:08
Speaker 2: disagree with Dave Meltzer?
46:09
Speaker 3: There best built match storyline wise, longevity wise, with everything
46:17
Speaker 3: gone on. It's it's really hard to argue that just
46:22
Speaker 3: because it's been one of the knocks that you and
46:24
Speaker 3: I have had with AW for five years is that
46:26
Speaker 3: sometimes these storylines and and aren't there maybe MJF and Jericho.
46:33
Speaker 2: I was gonna say that One's funny you brought that.
46:35
Speaker 5: Up, Yeah, because I was just thinking of MJF.
46:38
Speaker 4: And the Dinner the musical.
46:42
Speaker 3: Yeah, but that might that would probably be one, and
46:46
Speaker 3: then Storm and Mariah maybe too. And it's amazing that
46:50
Speaker 3: it's Mariah May who a year ago wasn't even in
46:53
Speaker 3: the company and was hardly ever even heard of outside
46:56
Speaker 3: of you know, some really diehard indie things.
46:59
Speaker 2: Yeah, I would say MGFF Jericho one is is mine.
47:03
Speaker 2: I would say that was number one. I was trying
47:05
Speaker 2: to rack my brain a little bit.
47:06
Speaker 4: I think MGF Cody.
47:10
Speaker 2: I think maybe MGF Punk.
47:13
Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, okay, so that was really good.
47:16
Speaker 5: Anything MJF for about a three year period.
47:18
Speaker 2: Well, I think MGF is a WWE kid in an
47:21
Speaker 2: AW world. I mean, I think he cares about the storylines,
47:24
Speaker 2: and I think his storylines in its early part of
47:26
Speaker 2: his AW run there as he built up, were really
47:29
Speaker 2: really important to his career.
47:31
Speaker 3: Yeah, mun MGF, Like I still remember Cody taking.
47:34
Speaker 2: The lashes Yep, Yeah, Cody with the Lashes was good.
47:38
Speaker 3: Yeah, so those ones like We're really bad. I still
47:41
Speaker 3: think it's MJF Jericho, maybe MJF Punk.
47:45
Speaker 4: I think I think Hangman.
47:47
Speaker 2: And Swerve has a really big chance to and it's
47:51
Speaker 2: been so short term, but I think that has a
47:53
Speaker 2: chance to be one of the greatest feuds in AW history.
47:56
Speaker 3: If they didn't really get back to it.
47:58
Speaker 2: And I think they're gonnat that it's the word. The
48:00
Speaker 2: word right now is is Swerve Hangman it all out? Yeah,
48:05
Speaker 2: I think they can get there.
48:07
Speaker 5: I think they do. But once again it's it's do
48:10
Speaker 5: you buy.
48:11
Speaker 3: I I still have a hard time with Adam Page.
48:15
Speaker 2: I just he's been so good lately. You even enjoyed
48:17
Speaker 2: the stuff.
48:19
Speaker 4: It's it's yeah, it's been better. I mean it's what
48:22
Speaker 4: he's done in.
48:23
Speaker 3: The last year was better than anything he did the
48:27
Speaker 3: first four years. Like even like the stuff he's done
48:30
Speaker 3: with Swerve leading up to now was better than his
48:33
Speaker 3: entire world title run.
48:37
Speaker 2: M yeah, yeah, I'm trying to think about the The
48:41
Speaker 2: world title run was not that great. Yeah, so I
48:45
Speaker 2: think the stuff with Swerve is better. I really like
48:47
Speaker 2: the direction, like because in a storyline sense, people should
48:50
Speaker 2: be siding with Hangman Page over Swerve of Strickland. Yet
48:53
Speaker 2: everybody is is siding with the villain, Like the villain
48:58
Speaker 2: went into his house, put the T shirt on his on,
49:00
Speaker 2: Like everybody should be able to relate to that, and
49:02
Speaker 2: he's like losing his mind about it and can't pay
49:04
Speaker 2: any attention. Yet everybody is cheering for Swerve in that instance.
49:09
Speaker 5: Yeah, it'd be like when Austin went in a Pillman's house.
49:11
Speaker 5: If everybody cheer for pilming comes true, it's true true.
49:15
Speaker 2: I would say, going back to Maria May Tony Storm,
49:17
Speaker 2: I think it's I think it's top five. I really
49:20
Speaker 2: liked well, I don't know if it's top five yet.
49:23
Speaker 2: I'm gonna say, is I really like the execution of
49:25
Speaker 2: it after she won the Owen and attacked Tony Storm.
49:30
Speaker 2: I don't think. I feel like it peaked there, and
49:33
Speaker 2: I think it's been good. The stuff that you've seen
49:35
Speaker 2: on Collision, on Dynamite whatever, I think has been good,
49:39
Speaker 2: but it hasn't reached the level as it hit when
49:41
Speaker 2: Mariah turned on Tony Storm.
49:44
Speaker 3: Yeah. I think the only issue we may run into
49:48
Speaker 3: is the match.
49:51
Speaker 4: Like, if the match.
49:52
Speaker 5: Is good, it will boost it up for us.
49:55
Speaker 3: If the match is bad, it will pull it down
49:57
Speaker 3: because you could have the greatest storyline in the world.
50:00
Speaker 3: But if the match is god awful, it will completely,
50:03
Speaker 3: you know, disrupt and derail a kind of you know,
50:07
Speaker 3: good feelings we have.
50:08
Speaker 4: Towards the storyline.
50:09
Speaker 3: So and as much as I love both these women,
50:14
Speaker 3: they've had some clunker matches, you know, individually, over their time.
50:19
Speaker 3: So I'm just hoping that when you get to All
50:22
Speaker 3: In that this match delivers on everything's built up to be.
50:26
Speaker 2: That is true, That is very, very true, because that's
50:28
Speaker 2: what Hangman and Swerve did in the short term recent
50:31
Speaker 2: memory is they delivered on their matches. Final thing I
50:35
Speaker 2: want to bring up your doctor, Trey. The location for
50:37
Speaker 2: AW All in the twenty twenty five was announced today
50:41
Speaker 2: as we record this on Thursday. It will take place
50:43
Speaker 2: at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, on July twelfth.
50:47
Speaker 2: Tony Kahan announced after that that it would return to
50:49
Speaker 2: Wembley in twenty twenty six for All In London twenty
50:53
Speaker 2: twenty six. Your thoughts here, as this has been rumored
50:57
Speaker 2: for a while. I think Sean Ross sap out out
50:59
Speaker 2: there for a little bit as well. Your thoughts as
51:02
Speaker 2: AW brings All In back to the United States and
51:04
Speaker 2: they take over Globe Blyfield where the Texas Rangers play
51:07
Speaker 2: on July the twelfth.
51:08
Speaker 3: I love that in a sense, this is AW countering
51:13
Speaker 3: what we talked about a couple weeks ago with the
51:15
Speaker 3: WW talks for London and Wembley Stadium as well, that
51:18
Speaker 3: we felt like that was wwe going to Aw's quote
51:21
Speaker 3: unquote backyard because of the history of the con family
51:24
Speaker 3: with London and potentially putting a WrestleMania them. Well, hey,
51:28
Speaker 3: let's go to a place where they had one of
51:31
Speaker 3: the biggest wrestlemanis, if not the largest crowd at wrestleme history.
51:35
Speaker 4: Was it was it Arlington? I'm not sure, but it.
51:38
Speaker 2: Was Dallas, right, it was, Well, I guess which is
51:40
Speaker 2: in Arlington. It's the Cowboys Stadium.
51:42
Speaker 3: Yeah, so we can go there and pull a huge
51:46
Speaker 3: crowd in WWE's quote unquote one of their backyards.
51:51
Speaker 4: It's a shot back at him.
51:52
Speaker 3: So to me, this was an announcement to counter program
51:56
Speaker 3: WWE London talks, which they had talked about.
51:59
Speaker 4: This was it a couple of months.
52:00
Speaker 3: Ago about them working out a deal in Texas and
52:04
Speaker 3: doing a bunch of shows there for a while.
52:06
Speaker 4: I mean Texas.
52:07
Speaker 3: I mean with the history of World Class Championship Wrestling
52:10
Speaker 3: and what a great talent Texas has been for professional wrestling,
52:15
Speaker 3: it's good to have another base of operations. I mean,
52:20
Speaker 3: we talked about WWE, which, for all intentsive purposes, it
52:23
Speaker 3: was a Northeast company for the first thirty forty years
52:27
Speaker 3: of existence, but now they've kind of taken over Florida.
52:33
Speaker 3: Aw's home office home base is Jacksonville. Hey, I need
52:37
Speaker 3: somewhere else I can go where we can draw big crowds,
52:40
Speaker 3: bring in a bunch of money, and then also have
52:42
Speaker 3: a solid talent base to steal from. There's not really
52:46
Speaker 3: a much better place than Texas, other than maybe California.
52:49
Speaker 3: But California fans are kind of I'm gonna use the
52:52
Speaker 3: word again, fickle when it comes to professional wrestling.
52:55
Speaker 2: I mean that to that point that you were gonna
52:57
Speaker 2: bring up, and I was going to say too, it's like,
52:59
Speaker 2: why aren't they doing a show in the Jaguars Stadium.
53:01
Speaker 2: Wouldn't that make sense?
53:04
Speaker 3: It will, it would, But if you stick to your backyard,
53:10
Speaker 3: you become like you're I don't know to.
53:12
Speaker 2: Me, but there's gonna be like no cost to it.
53:14
Speaker 2: I mean, that's a really they're doing that really And
53:16
Speaker 2: and and we haven't talked about this yet, but I
53:18
Speaker 2: think they're doing a really I mean collision these last
53:20
Speaker 2: couple of weeks in the Esports Arena. It looks like
53:22
Speaker 2: a low rate like show. To me, it does not
53:26
Speaker 2: look like a normal AW show. And and I understand
53:28
Speaker 2: that it's a cost savings move like that would be
53:30
Speaker 2: a major cost savings move if they went to the
53:32
Speaker 2: stadium that they freaking own.
53:35
Speaker 3: I thought that was one of the things they were
53:36
Speaker 3: trying to work out with the people in Texas was, Hey,
53:39
Speaker 3: we'll do a bunch of shows here and now.
53:42
Speaker 2: There's probably there's there's probably some yeah, well you scratch
53:46
Speaker 2: our back, we'll scratch yours type stuff going on.
53:49
Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, if you want to save money, yeah,
53:50
Speaker 3: you run one in Jacksonville and fill up.
53:54
Speaker 4: Was it M and T Stadium I think it is
53:56
Speaker 4: or whatever whatever the stadium name is.
53:58
Speaker 2: No, I think that's Baltimore. I don't know off the
54:00
Speaker 2: top of my head. I don't know where the Jaguars play.
54:02
Speaker 4: I haven't I haven't played Madden in the last three weeks.
54:05
Speaker 4: I haven't looked up the name.
54:06
Speaker 2: So I'll look that up in just second.
54:09
Speaker 3: It was a huge It would be a huge cost
54:11
Speaker 3: saving move because you have to pay any kind of
54:13
Speaker 3: rent fees or anything like that to use the facility.
54:16
Speaker 3: But once again, I think this is kind of their
54:19
Speaker 3: way to kind of go, hey, you want to go
54:21
Speaker 3: to London and and counter program what we're doing in Wembley. Fine,
54:24
Speaker 3: we're gonna go to Arlington and pack out Globe Life
54:27
Speaker 3: Stadium even though it's not at and T Stadium. But hey,
54:31
Speaker 3: if we can put fifty sixty thousand people in Globe
54:34
Speaker 3: Life for an ADW show in Texas, Yeah, that's kind
54:39
Speaker 3: of a shot that we're we're still we're a big deal,
54:41
Speaker 3: even though we may people may not think.
54:43
Speaker 4: We are as big as we were a year or
54:45
Speaker 4: two ago.
54:46
Speaker 2: For those Jaguar fans that listen to podcasts or Madden
54:48
Speaker 2: players that were screaming at us over the last minute
54:50
Speaker 2: trying to figure it out, it's ever Bank Stadium.
54:52
Speaker 4: In Jacksonville, Duval County.
54:55
Speaker 2: In Duval County, and they reportedly can hold a record
54:59
Speaker 2: attens was eighty five, thy four and thirteen for Florida
55:01
Speaker 2: State Alabama Crimson Tide game in two thousand and seven.
55:05
Speaker 2: So obviously that fans aren't on the field for that,
55:07
Speaker 2: so it goes to show you that maybe they could
55:09
Speaker 2: fit a little bit more.
55:11
Speaker 4: So.
55:11
Speaker 2: Yeah, interesting that that's that's not on the table. I
55:17
Speaker 2: be intrigued right now what the attendance numbers are for
55:20
Speaker 2: Globe Life. I just I don't know. I think a
55:22
Speaker 2: lot has to continue forward progressively in a positive manner
55:27
Speaker 2: for AW, for them to have strong numbers once they
55:31
Speaker 2: go to a Global Life Stadium next year in Arlington, Texas.
55:37
Speaker 2: But huge move for AW, and that will be We're
55:40
Speaker 2: all in is in twenty twenty five, and I think
55:43
Speaker 2: it's we talked about a couple of weeks ago. It's
55:45
Speaker 2: certainly got to feel that this is their WrestleMania based
55:48
Speaker 2: on how they handle booking the show, locations of the show,
55:51
Speaker 2: and overall like hype around it. So it appears they
55:55
Speaker 2: have finally landed on a WrestleMania for AAW. That said,
56:00
Speaker 2: Doctor Trey, let's get a couple plugs and sposor out
