- 0:14Speaker 2: Last time I went to vote, I walk in and
- 0:16Speaker 2: you have to give your name and then what's your name,
- 0:18Speaker 2: and then they check it against an address and your name,
- 0:20Speaker 2: and I said, I'd like to show you my ID
- 0:23Speaker 2: that I'm really William Handle. They go, no, we don't
- 0:25Speaker 2: want to see it. Literally said I this is the poolworker.
- 0:29Speaker 2: I don't want to see it. And we almost had
- 0:32Speaker 2: a fight over it, and he refused to look at
- 0:35Speaker 2: my driver's license, straight out refused, and you.
- 0:37Speaker 3: Were shoving and were like, look at it.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I almost crammed it down his throat.
- 0:42Speaker 1: And now Handle on the news, ladies and gentlemen, here's
- 0:47Speaker 1: Bill Handle.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Oh yes, good morning. It's Friday. It's a foody Friday
- 0:53Speaker 2: without the food. Neil Savadra back again on Monday, and
- 0:59Speaker 2: we have our modified cruise. As a matter of fact,
- 1:02Speaker 2: Kono is out today. So it's Sam the Man. Sam's
- 1:06Speaker 2: is in. He Sam runs the Saturday Handle on the
- 1:10Speaker 2: Law Show. And so Sam and I go back a
- 1:13Speaker 2: long long ways. So good morning Sam, Good morning Bill.
- 1:17Speaker 2: How are you doing. I'm good well, I'm not so good.
- 1:20Speaker 2: It doesn't matter. Heather in for Amy. But you're also
- 1:24Speaker 2: in next all next week, right, Heather.
- 1:26Speaker 3: That's correct?
- 1:26Speaker 2: Yeah, God, a lot of people are missing today show
- 1:30Speaker 2: today exactly precisely. Michelle in for Ann, who's back on Monday,
- 1:37Speaker 2: last day. Yes, so Michelle gets Michelle gets to sleep
- 1:41Speaker 2: in a little bit and Will who I don't see
- 1:44Speaker 2: on the screen. Will are you? Hello? Hello? Hello? Just
- 1:48Speaker 2: not there? Yes, okay, all right, Oh you're not there
- 1:51Speaker 2: in studio? Right? Oh? I like you today. Yeah, it's true.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Where are you hanging out? I'm hanging out and beautifull
- 2:00Speaker 2: downtown Lake Balboa. Is that where you live? Oh? Okay,
- 2:05Speaker 2: that's cool, fair enough, And of course I am here. Uh,
- 2:10Speaker 2: I've been WHI. I just turned on CNN a few
- 2:13Speaker 2: minutes ago, and it's one of those the first insert
- 2:18Speaker 2: name of whatever ethnic group or age group has in
- 2:21Speaker 2: this case, uh, climb Mount Everest and the first it's
- 2:24Speaker 2: the first Afghan woman to have climbed Mount Everest. You know,
- 2:29Speaker 2: it's for the first black person to do this, you know,
- 2:32Speaker 2: you know, the first Dwarf to have done this. You know,
- 2:35Speaker 2: there's always the first everything, did you? Uh? Uh? Heather
- 2:39Speaker 2: did you cover the story of the first set of
- 2:41Speaker 2: conjoined twins that climb Mount Everest and a heartbreaking story
- 2:46Speaker 2: one of them fell to her death and the other
- 2:49Speaker 2: one did just fine.
- 2:51Speaker 3: Okay, I don't know that that's a possible bill.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Yeah, well I thought it was. I thought it was
- 2:57Speaker 2: a pretty good story.
- 2:58Speaker 3: That's pretty good story.
- 2:59Speaker 2: Yeah, not bad, not bad. Okay. I can't think of
- 3:03Speaker 2: anything more to say, anything to add to anybody.
- 3:05Speaker 3: I want to know, what, where would you tell somebody
- 3:08Speaker 3: from the who's visiting for the World Cup internationally? Where
- 3:11Speaker 3: would you tell them to go? That's sort of uniquely American.
- 3:14Speaker 2: I would tell them to go to one of our
- 3:18Speaker 2: emergency rooms only to experience eight hours of sitting in
- 3:24Speaker 2: u in the in the room and uh experience gonerrhea,
- 3:28Speaker 2: because we do that better than any other country in
- 3:30Speaker 2: the world.
- 3:31Speaker 3: All right, in America healthcare and GONERIEA. Yeah, I would
- 3:34Speaker 3: say if they're from a country that doesn't have a costco,
- 3:37Speaker 3: costco uh.
- 3:39Speaker 2: Everything, but everybody, but everybody does have costco. True. I
- 3:44Speaker 2: don't think of any country that doesn't have a costco, right,
- 3:46Speaker 2: costco or whatever. Yeah, I think that right, there's a
- 3:52Speaker 2: costco in Bosnia and Caicos. Do they have Yes, there's
- 3:55Speaker 2: definitely a church case. Go in Costco. It's actually Turks
- 3:59Speaker 2: and and not Caicos, but Turks and Costco.
- 4:02Speaker 3: Turks and Costco. I said Walmart. Mine was similar to that,
- 4:06Speaker 3: but my choice was Walmart because there is something uniquely
- 4:09Speaker 3: American about Walmart.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll see people come, but these are people coming
- 4:14Speaker 2: to the World World Cup. I don't think they're coming
- 4:17Speaker 2: here to enjoy the United States the way tourists come.
- 4:22Speaker 3: No, they are. That's what's happening. These videos are going
- 4:24Speaker 3: viral because they're discovering ranch dressing, they're discovering big gulps
- 4:29Speaker 3: waffle house, and they're fascinated by American culture. They're like, also,
- 4:34Speaker 3: this is why Americans are so fat.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Yeah, but you know, but I'm gonna make the point
- 4:39Speaker 2: again because what goes around virally and what happens is
- 4:43Speaker 2: very different than what happens across the board. Because that's
- 4:46Speaker 2: what makes the viral posts so interesting or Facebook or
- 4:51Speaker 2: YouTube so interesting is because they're so weird. But I
- 4:55Speaker 2: do believe that, Well, there's no one coming in as
- 4:57Speaker 2: tourists anymore because we're not letting them in and I'm
- 5:00Speaker 2: surprised how many people coming in for the FIFA World Cup.
- 5:04Speaker 2: FIFA pronounce Fifa fi fi fou fumu Fifa.
- 5:12Speaker 3: Amy's pinches, but this is FIFA.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Oh got it? Okay, fair enough, let's do it, guys.
- 5:21Speaker 2: It is time and Neil comes back. I forgot to
- 5:24Speaker 2: tell you that he's back on Monday. I only talked
- 5:27Speaker 2: to him earlier this week. He had the bariatric surgery.
- 5:30Speaker 2: And if we're very, very lucky, we will hear Neil
- 5:33Speaker 2: at least two three times on Monday puke his guts out,
- 5:37Speaker 2: because that's what normally happens with bariatric surgery. It's very entertaining.
- 5:41Speaker 2: This is one of those few instances where listing on
- 5:44Speaker 2: the radio is actually better than watching on TV. Okay,
- 5:49Speaker 2: fair enough, let's do it, guys. It is time for
- 5:52Speaker 2: Handle on the news with Heather no Amy and me
- 5:58Speaker 2: lead story. Well, President announced that the US has ended
- 6:06Speaker 2: the war with Iran. The only people that are not
- 6:09Speaker 2: on board are strangely enough, the Iranians who have said
- 6:13Speaker 2: we have not yet confirmed the deal. So yesterday he
- 6:17Speaker 2: was going to bomb Iran starting at six o'clock and
- 6:21Speaker 2: just a few hours before the bombing. He said, never mind,
- 6:25Speaker 2: just joking, and that went on for the last two weeks.
- 6:29Speaker 2: It's going to happen tonight, it's gonna happen next week.
- 6:31Speaker 2: We're gonna have a deal. We're gonna have a deal
- 6:33Speaker 2: in place in two days. So now, I mean we're
- 6:36Speaker 2: gonna have some kind of a deal, I think, but
- 6:38Speaker 2: it's certainly not the deal that the White House wants.
- 6:42Speaker 2: But it doesn't matter. No matter what the agreement is,
- 6:45Speaker 2: Iran will declare victory, as will the United States declare victory.
- 6:49Speaker 3: Yeah, he said, they reached a great settlement.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Of course, so we will see. I can't wait. So
- 6:56Speaker 2: is it going to be this weekend? Who knows? The
- 6:59Speaker 2: good news as the President is now using the word
- 7:02Speaker 2: soon instead of specificity, we'll have it by this weekend.
- 7:08Speaker 2: And the terms of the agreement is really not set
- 7:15Speaker 2: in stone either. It's sort of a framework to discuss
- 7:21Speaker 2: later on things like oh, I don't know, the nuclear program,
- 7:26Speaker 2: the enriched Iranian program that Iran has. That's not going
- 7:29Speaker 2: to be an agreement that'll come in later. What will
- 7:32Speaker 2: happen is the strait of horror moves will be opened
- 7:34Speaker 2: exactly the same as it was before the war started,
- 7:37Speaker 2: and we'll see how much Iran gets out of this,
- 7:39Speaker 2: because remember they want sanctions lifted. They want a ton
- 7:43Speaker 2: of money that is being has been frozen by the
- 7:46Speaker 2: US their assets. They want that back, and so we'll see,
- 7:50Speaker 2: we'll see how much is given up by the US.
- 7:52Speaker 2: We don't know at this point.
- 7:53Speaker 3: So SpaceX began trading today under the ticker spc X
- 7:59Speaker 3: and ELI Reusable Rocket Company is going to be raising
- 8:04Speaker 3: seventy five billion dollars, selling five hundred and fifty five
- 8:07Speaker 3: point six million shares for one hundred and thirty five
- 8:10Speaker 3: dollars a piece. That will value SpaceX at one point
- 8:14Speaker 3: seven seven trillion dollars.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Which would make him the world's first trillionaire. YEP. And
- 8:21Speaker 2: I was thinking, at this company has so much cast,
- 8:24Speaker 2: why does it need all this much money? Why does
- 8:27Speaker 2: it need seventy five billion dollars? Well, they plan to
- 8:30Speaker 2: put over one hundred thousand satellites in orbit for communications
- 8:36Speaker 2: and build AI data centers in space. And usually when
- 8:41Speaker 2: you think of someone saying that that's supplying this guy
- 8:44Speaker 2: science fiction. Come on, don't be ridiculous, except the Selawon
- 8:48Speaker 2: Musk saying that, and you go, whoa that's what they
- 8:52Speaker 2: said about SpaceX, That's what they said about Tesla.
- 8:56Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, very real possibility. I mean we are
- 9:00Speaker 3: living in the future.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Well he is living wherever the hell he wants to live.
- 9:05Speaker 2: We may be living in the future. All right, take
- 9:07Speaker 2: a break, Hey, are fine? He am six forty bill
- 9:10Speaker 2: handle here Friday morning, June twelfth. It is splicious Friday.
- 9:14Speaker 2: A couple of things going on. First of all, the
- 9:17Speaker 2: World Cup starts today in the United States. It's so
- 9:20Speaker 2: far and the US is going to be playing Paraguay,
- 9:24Speaker 2: which is there's two guys involved there one the only
- 9:28Speaker 2: team that is for is actually two countries. Let me
- 9:31Speaker 2: explain that again. Okay, Heather, just.
- 9:33Speaker 3: In case you didn't get yeah, please explain that again.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Okay. That's like a pair of dime that's twenty cents. Okay,
- 9:40Speaker 2: it's thank you very much. Okay. Moving on. The other
- 9:45Speaker 2: auspicious thing is the IPO opens up that SpaceX goes
- 9:52Speaker 2: public today and set price one hundred and thirty five
- 9:56Speaker 2: dollars a share and they plant raising seventy five billion
- 9:59Speaker 2: dollar dollars and is valued the company at one point
- 10:02Speaker 2: seven seven trillion, which would make Elon Musk the world's
- 10:05Speaker 2: first trillionaire, assuming that it actually opens up at one
- 10:10Speaker 2: thirty five, Well, it's going to open at the set price.
- 10:16Speaker 2: It's going to open. Now the issue is what happens
- 10:19Speaker 2: right after that? Does the value? Is it valued low
- 10:24Speaker 2: which means that it is going to go up higher?
- 10:27Speaker 2: Is it value too high which means it's going to
- 10:29Speaker 2: drop immediately, well not humongous amounts of money? Or is
- 10:33Speaker 2: it right on point? And so either way, I'll tell
- 10:36Speaker 2: you the banks make just unbelievable bank with this stuff.
- 10:41Speaker 2: You know, I think there are five major organizations. I
- 10:45Speaker 2: think Morgan Stanley is one of them. Then I don't
- 10:50Speaker 2: remember the other three. But anyways, let's go go back
- 10:52Speaker 2: to more handle on the news Heather and me.
- 10:57Speaker 3: So, federal funding for locks has been suspended. The HUD,
- 11:03Speaker 3: the US Department of Housing and Urban Development, says they
- 11:06Speaker 3: have done an investigation and recover uncovered rather repeated false
- 11:11Speaker 3: statements and saying they're accusing basically LOSA, which is the
- 11:17Speaker 3: La County Homeless Services Association Services Authority, rather of fraud. Essentially,
- 11:25Speaker 3: they're saying that LOSA wasn't able to provide verification for
- 11:28Speaker 3: paperwork for twenty three hundred housing sites and where they're located.
- 11:34Speaker 3: They accuse them of fabricating certifications to cover up the
- 11:37Speaker 3: fact that they didn't have internal policy to prevent conflict
- 11:41Speaker 3: of interest. They've accused them of quite a few things,
- 11:44Speaker 3: and so because of that they've removed their suspended rather
- 11:48Speaker 3: their funding.
- 11:49Speaker 2: Now this is city, not County. It's the LA Housing.
- 11:53Speaker 3: Did I say, did I say County?
- 11:54Speaker 2: I'm sorry?
- 11:55Speaker 3: I apologize.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't have to apologize it.
- 11:57Speaker 3: Don't yell at me, Bill, I'm yelling. Stop hitting me.
- 12:00Speaker 2: I just think, yes, I enjoy boy that can be
- 12:02Speaker 2: you know, from these distances, that's magic. In the meantime
- 12:07Speaker 2: there I don't doubt that there is all kinds of
- 12:11Speaker 2: misdoings with LASA, because it's from the beginning there's been accusations.
- 12:16Speaker 2: What I do find interesting is how many of these
- 12:19Speaker 2: homeless organizations or cities that are Republican that are being nailed,
- 12:25Speaker 2: not a one, And so we'll find out by the
- 12:28Speaker 2: way that does mean that it doesn't because I think
- 12:31Speaker 2: that the city has done a god awful job of
- 12:35Speaker 2: dealing with homelessness in terms of how much money is
- 12:38Speaker 2: being spent, how much is being overspent, oversight, accountability, so
- 12:44Speaker 2: I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of what the
- 12:47Speaker 2: administration is saying and this investigation is opening up.
- 12:51Speaker 3: Yeah, So the La City Council has approved half a
- 12:57Speaker 3: million dollars to hire private attorneys to defend the city
- 13:01Speaker 3: against a lawsuit fired filed rather by former fire chief
- 13:05Speaker 3: Christin Crowley. So it was a twelve to one vote
- 13:08Speaker 3: in the city office. The City attorney's office will have
- 13:12Speaker 3: a contract now to with a local law firm to
- 13:16Speaker 3: basically defend the city against this lawsuit. And the mayor's
- 13:20Speaker 3: office is saying that Miss Crowley was removed from her
- 13:24Speaker 3: post for failing to deploy in advance and her decision
- 13:28Speaker 3: to send a thousand firefighters home instead of keeping them
- 13:30Speaker 3: on duty the morning the fires broke out. Of course,
- 13:32Speaker 3: this is all in relation to the wildfires from twenty
- 13:35Speaker 3: twenty five.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Yeah, a lot of people don't know that the city,
- 13:38Speaker 2: the state, the county quite often hire outside council to
- 13:43Speaker 2: represent the city. First of all, if there's conflict involved,
- 13:46Speaker 2: they're one of several defendants. And the other thing if
- 13:48Speaker 2: it's a complicated case where city attorneys that just don't
- 13:53Speaker 2: have this experience. And one of the things about La
- 13:56Speaker 2: City is quite often do they go to outside cansole
- 14:00Speaker 2: anything above a small claim suit against the city they
- 14:03Speaker 2: need help.
- 14:04Speaker 3: On the other side, is it also just like a
- 14:06Speaker 3: staffing issue, they maybe just don't have the people and
- 14:09Speaker 3: the resource you know.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Well, there is. It depends on how many people you have.
- 14:13Speaker 2: The city gets sued constantly. Yeah, what kind of expertise
- 14:16Speaker 2: do you have? This is an employment situation, employment discrimination
- 14:21Speaker 2: if you will, Yes, but it's not unusual at all.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Outside council is constantly being brought.
- 14:27Speaker 3: In and it's the five hundred thousand of retainer, Like,
- 14:30Speaker 3: is that do you have to pay more?
- 14:31Speaker 2: Oh? Yeah, this is a this is a minimum amount.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Oh you bet you. And the amount of money that
- 14:40Speaker 2: is going to be charged by these law firms, one
- 14:43Speaker 2: in particular, at this point is not a small amount
- 14:45Speaker 2: of money. It's a good contract to have.
- 14:47Speaker 3: Yeah, this says it's an initial amount of five hundred thousand,
- 14:51Speaker 3: so there will definitely be more.
- 14:53Speaker 2: So.
- 14:54Speaker 3: An ATF agent was back on the stand yesterday and
- 14:58Speaker 3: the arson trial of John Nathan Renderknesh. He told jurors
- 15:03Speaker 3: that investigator found investigators found software on Jonathan Rendernest's phone
- 15:09Speaker 3: linking him to the dark web, and that he also
- 15:12Speaker 3: asked chat gpt how to delete all video messages after
- 15:16Speaker 3: a search warrant was served. Of course, Renderneck is being
- 15:20Speaker 3: linked to the Lochman fire, which started on January first,
- 15:24Speaker 3: then smoldered underground for a week before reigniting as the
- 15:27Speaker 3: Palisades Fire during high winds on January seventh.
- 15:34Speaker 2: All right, okay, nothing, how much say about that?
- 15:39Speaker 3: Okay, We've been talking about this all day. Big news
- 15:42Speaker 3: here in so Cal. The FIFO World Cup is kicking
- 15:45Speaker 3: off today in Los Angeles. There's going to be about
- 15:48Speaker 3: seventy thousand fans headed to SOFI Stadium. And because of that,
- 15:52Speaker 3: Metro is offering regional transit options for you, NonStop buses
- 15:58Speaker 3: from Union Station, downtown, Law Beach, Harbor Gateway, Transit Center,
- 16:02Speaker 3: Almani Station in the San Fernando Valley. Also, they want
- 16:06Speaker 3: to remind everybody that parking at the stadium is limited
- 16:09Speaker 3: and some parking prices I've seen for as much as
- 16:13Speaker 3: fifty dollars, upwards of hundreds of dollars. And the game
- 16:16Speaker 3: of You between US and Paraguay starts at six.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Yeah, and a lot of the controversy, of course, is
- 16:22Speaker 2: the cost of the tickets. Yeah, that is outrageous, is
- 16:25Speaker 2: what they're charging. I mean thousands of dollars in certain cases.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Have you seen a recent ads for the price of
- 16:31Speaker 2: the tickets? You don't really need to pay your mortgage? No,
- 16:35Speaker 2: come to a World game.
- 16:37Speaker 3: Come to a World Cup game, don't need to pay
- 16:39Speaker 3: your rent.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Yeah, that's pretty much. Ye, all right, we'll be right back.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Don't go away. You're listening to Bill Handle on demand
- 16:46Speaker 2: from KFI AM six fortykhi am six forty Handle Here.
- 16:54Speaker 2: It's a Friday morning. Foody Friday. No food, but ask
- 16:57Speaker 2: Handle anything Friday, IPO of SpaceX Friday World Game, first
- 17:03Speaker 2: game in the United States today at sofar Friday. And
- 17:07Speaker 2: so it's a lot of Friday stuff going on in
- 17:09Speaker 2: the meantime. Back we go more Handle on the news.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Heather in for Amy next week too and me. So.
- 17:18Speaker 3: There was a woman named Brenda Armstrong who pleaded guilty
- 17:22Speaker 3: earlier this week in federal court to paying people to
- 17:25Speaker 3: register to vote, which is a violation of federal law,
- 17:30Speaker 3: and in her plea agreement, she says she spent nearly
- 17:32Speaker 3: two decades working as a paid petition circulator, often on
- 17:36Speaker 3: skid row, and this case is now investigators are saying
- 17:43Speaker 3: they have new questions about whether they're similar activity that's
- 17:46Speaker 3: happening in LA's area. I've actually seen video where independent
- 17:52Speaker 3: journalists have gone down and they have started asking people
- 17:55Speaker 3: in skid row have you ever been paid to vote?
- 17:58Speaker 3: Have you ever been paid to register to vote?
- 18:00Speaker 2: Vote?
- 18:00Speaker 3: And they had interviews with several people who had said that, yes,
- 18:04Speaker 3: someone came down and paid them and asked them to vote.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Yeah. Do you know that you cannot get anything on
- 18:10Speaker 2: a ballot measure in California without paying people to get
- 18:15Speaker 2: the signatures? Ever been in front of a supermarket and
- 18:17Speaker 2: then they are there, they are out there and.
- 18:20Speaker 3: Those have been asked to pay for that.
- 18:22Speaker 2: But no, no, no, you would never get no, no,
- 18:24Speaker 2: you would never get asked to paid for registering. But
- 18:26Speaker 2: the people that gather those signatures, that person at the
- 18:29Speaker 2: card table who says, hey, are you a resident of LA,
- 18:33Speaker 2: a resident of Orange County whatever, They're paid to get
- 18:36Speaker 2: your signature. But no, you cannot get paid, of course not.
- 18:40Speaker 2: You can't buy a vote.
- 18:43Speaker 3: Yeah, So apparently this is something that's happening more and more.
- 18:48Speaker 2: Yeah, well, it's federal law. The FED should investigate the
- 18:51Speaker 2: city should investigate absolutely. Oh interesting case.
- 18:53Speaker 3: Yeah. So there was a horse play shooting between a
- 18:57Speaker 3: couple of Pasadena cops and I watched the video and
- 19:04Speaker 3: I don't understand even how this how they even got
- 19:08Speaker 3: involved in this. But these two officers were apparently in
- 19:12Speaker 3: a parking garage in Pasadena, and the video shows one
- 19:14Speaker 3: officer pulling out his weapon and pointing out another officer
- 19:17Speaker 3: who was seated in a patrol car, and then he
- 19:19Speaker 3: reholstered it, and then the officer in the patrol car
- 19:23Speaker 3: also drew his weapon and then it suddenly went off,
- 19:26Speaker 3: went through the windshield of the patrol car and hit
- 19:29Speaker 3: the other officer. So it was like he was like here, bang, bang.
- 19:33Speaker 2: You know they're horsing around. Yeah, they were horsing around.
- 19:36Speaker 3: And kid, he had points a gun at somebody else.
- 19:39Speaker 2: You can't do it, especially at a cop. There was
- 19:42Speaker 2: a lawyer that I worked with early on in my
- 19:45Speaker 2: world of surrogacy, and she was married to a cop
- 19:51Speaker 2: who was taking a cadet around. This was in Louisville, Kentucky.
- 19:54Speaker 2: It was taking a cadet in the patrol car for
- 19:58Speaker 2: a ride along, and he took out his gun and
- 20:01Speaker 2: started swinging it around. You know on your finger, you know,
- 20:04Speaker 2: the tourl early gun. Yeah, it when it went off,
- 20:08Speaker 2: and there was a lot of brains that were splayed
- 20:10Speaker 2: against the window. Needless to say, his police career was
- 20:14Speaker 2: cut very very short at that point. But you know,
- 20:18Speaker 2: it's just what can I tell you, Most cops take himself,
- 20:21Speaker 2: they take their weapons very very seriously. Yeah, yeah, there's
- 20:25Speaker 2: always some screw ups, doesn't matter anyway, he had one
- 20:28Speaker 2: of the guys, I think the guy who shot the
- 20:31Speaker 2: cop in the shoulder. It was fired immediately, if I'm
- 20:35Speaker 2: not mistaken.
- 20:37Speaker 3: Let's see, yes, fired from the department. Yep, Okay, that's
- 20:41Speaker 3: absolutely right to a thirty two year old OnlyFans content
- 20:47Speaker 3: creator from San Bardino County is sentenced to four years
- 20:51Speaker 3: in state prison for her role in a fatal fetish
- 20:54Speaker 3: encounter from three years ago. Apparently, messages investigators found that
- 21:02Speaker 3: Dale asked this woman her name is, let me say
- 21:05Speaker 3: let me find her name. Michael Dale was fifty six
- 21:08Speaker 3: year old, was communicating with Mikayla ry Lardsdam I'm sure
- 21:13Speaker 3: I'm not saying that name right, And he found her
- 21:16Speaker 3: on a website, an escort service website and stripper service's
- 21:19Speaker 3: website paid more than eleven thousand dollars to engage in
- 21:23Speaker 3: quote conversations with Ryler's dam and ultimately invited her to
- 21:29Speaker 3: come to his home and perform some fetish acts and
- 21:34Speaker 3: wrap him in plastic like a mummy and glue clue
- 21:38Speaker 3: women's boots to his feet.
- 21:40Speaker 2: Good, agreed. So I have a question. And then he
- 21:41Speaker 2: ended up dying. But I have two questions here. Number one,
- 21:45Speaker 2: what's wrong with this? Okay, that's one question. The other one,
- 21:49Speaker 2: who are we to quibble with someone else's for play?
- 21:52Speaker 3: I mean, he died. He died, so there.
- 21:56Speaker 2: Hey, it happens. Things happen, don't It's a thing. Yeah,
- 22:03Speaker 2: it's the old glue women's boots to his feet, swinging around.
- 22:09Speaker 2: It's like tassels, except you're swinging a boot around.
- 22:12Speaker 3: Wrapped him up like a in plastic like a mummy,
- 22:15Speaker 3: and then glued women's boots to his feet, and then died.
- 22:18Speaker 2: Yeah, well there you go. Nothing wrong with that.
- 22:21Speaker 3: No, nothing to see here, Bill says. Okay, So the
- 22:25Speaker 3: US Supreme Court has denied Alabama's request to carry out
- 22:28Speaker 3: nitrogen gas execution to lower courts at earlier blocked the
- 22:32Speaker 3: use of nitrogen gas and execution, saying the method violates
- 22:36Speaker 3: US Constitution's banned on cruel and unusual punishment. And then
- 22:40Speaker 3: Alabama appealed to that ruling.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Yeah, it's always it's the Eighth Amendment, Cruel and unusual punishment.
- 22:47Speaker 2: And these are people that they're not really moving. The
- 22:50Speaker 2: ones that are suing to have this stuff stopped, they're
- 22:52Speaker 2: not really moving to have the method of execution changed
- 22:57Speaker 2: or stopped. It is the whole concept of capital punishment
- 23:01Speaker 2: they want stopped, so, you know, and they get the
- 23:04Speaker 2: courts to basically agree that almost anything that kills someone,
- 23:09Speaker 2: that executes someone is cruel and unusual. And you know,
- 23:12Speaker 2: I'll tell you what, we're going to go back to
- 23:14Speaker 2: when all of a sudden done hanging and we're gonna
- 23:17Speaker 2: go back to shooting. You're gonna you're gonna see that. Now.
- 23:22Speaker 2: Guillotine is very, very humane, but you know, you've got
- 23:25Speaker 2: body parts flying all over the place. I would pay
- 23:27Speaker 2: money for that, by the way, to see a guillotine,
- 23:30Speaker 2: you know, pay per view for the benefit of the
- 23:32Speaker 2: family the victim. Who tell me that wouldn't work. You
- 23:35Speaker 2: think a lot of people gonna watch this UFC match.
- 23:38Speaker 2: How about a guillotining. Oh yeah, but it's they viewed
- 23:42Speaker 2: that this nitrogen gas execution cruel and unusual, and the
- 23:47Speaker 2: Supreme Court said, now we're not gonna let the appeal
- 23:52Speaker 2: of State of California go forward. No natural nitrogen gas
- 23:58Speaker 2: execution for you, So they have to find another way
- 24:01Speaker 2: of doing it. Oh here, and this is what I love.
- 24:03Speaker 2: So yesterday sorry hold on in the lower court said
- 24:07Speaker 2: that the victim, if you will, the inmate who would
- 24:14Speaker 2: likely experience severe air hunger, corresponding emotional distress, anxiety, physiological stress,
- 24:21Speaker 2: physical discomfort, and more most importantly PSTD.
- 24:27Speaker 3: How does that work.
- 24:29Speaker 2: Because you get to severe post traumatic utress syndrome. Yeah,
- 24:34Speaker 2: it's really the problem here. Okay, we're going to take
- 24:37Speaker 2: a break on this one. I had to say that
- 24:39Speaker 2: because I thought that was half cute. All Right, We're
- 24:42Speaker 2: gonna come back and finish up handle on the news
- 24:45Speaker 2: on this Friday morning, six forty bill Handle here, morning crew.
- 24:50Speaker 2: It is a very suspicious Friday World Cup that starts
- 24:54Speaker 2: today in Los Angeles. Lucy American part of it. The
- 24:58Speaker 2: IPO for SpaceX is today and coming up at eight thirty.
- 25:02Speaker 2: More important than anything, ask handle anything, always fine, Okay,
- 25:05Speaker 2: let's finish it up by handle on the news. Heatherin
- 25:09Speaker 2: for Amy and I am in for me.
- 25:13Speaker 3: We reported this yesterday out of Washington or the not Washington,
- 25:17Speaker 3: the Pentagon actually when it was happening, Apparently they had
- 25:20Speaker 3: a shelter in place and a brief evacuation because there
- 25:23Speaker 3: was a hazardous materials scare, but apparently it turned out
- 25:27Speaker 3: to be somewhat of a false alarm. Authorities with the
- 25:31Speaker 3: Pentagon said no hazard exists and operations returned to normal.
- 25:35Speaker 3: And this was after they had a big response of
- 25:37Speaker 3: has Matt and fire trucks head out to the Pentagon.
- 25:40Speaker 3: But everything turned out to be just fine, all right.
- 25:44Speaker 3: President Trump says he's gonna nominate Ja Clayton, the US
- 25:47Speaker 3: Attorney for the Southern District of New York, to serve
- 25:50Speaker 3: as the director of the National Director of National and
- 25:53Speaker 3: Television Intelligence not Television. You will replace Tulsey Gabbard on
- 25:59Speaker 3: an acting basis until he is confirmed. And he made
- 26:02Speaker 3: this decision after initially picking Trump loyalist Pulte. I hope
- 26:08Speaker 3: I'm saying that name right, Yeah, Bill Poulte, Bill Pulte. Yeah.
- 26:12Speaker 3: But he got a lot of pushback on Pulta, So
- 26:14Speaker 3: now this is his replacement for Pulte.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Well, Pulti is still there as acting until you have
- 26:23Speaker 2: Jay Clayton come in. And there is a lot of
- 26:25Speaker 2: pushback because Pulte is wildly has no experience qualified, totally unqualified,
- 26:33Speaker 2: I mean completely, so he's and of course Trump pushes
- 26:38Speaker 2: back no matter what happens. And in the meantime, Clayton,
- 26:42Speaker 2: who is the US Attorney for Southern Southern District of
- 26:44Speaker 2: New York, he has virtually no experience in national security.
- 26:50Speaker 2: The law says right there that who's ever the Director
- 26:56Speaker 2: of National Intelligence has to have aience more than moderate experience,
- 27:03Speaker 2: has to have extensive experience in the intelligence community, of
- 27:08Speaker 2: which of course Pulte has zero. It's all financial. And
- 27:12Speaker 2: Clayton has been the US Attorney in New York, Southern
- 27:14Speaker 2: District of New York, which specializes I mean, this is
- 27:17Speaker 2: where terrorism, anti counter terrorism is basically, this is the
- 27:24Speaker 2: office that deals with counterintelligence. So almost no experience, virtually
- 27:29Speaker 2: no experience. But Pulty is so bad that people are
- 27:34Speaker 2: jumping on allowing Clayton to be the d DCI.
- 27:38Speaker 3: Yeah, even Republicans were the Yeah.
- 27:41Speaker 2: I know, so we're going to get someone who has
- 27:43Speaker 2: virtually no experience compared to someone who has none, no experience,
- 27:48Speaker 2: who is yes, completely unqualified.
- 27:52Speaker 3: Apparently somebody has created the numbers eighty six forty seven
- 28:00Speaker 3: on the US National Mall and the grass on the
- 28:03Speaker 3: US National Mall, and now police are investigating to figure
- 28:07Speaker 3: out who did it. Eighty six, of course, is the
- 28:10Speaker 3: sort of a slang term for get rid of, and
- 28:12Speaker 3: forty seven could refer to President Trump, who is of
- 28:16Speaker 3: course the forty seventh.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Oh, I'm sure it is. I'm sure that's precisely what
- 28:19Speaker 2: it is. Get rid of. It's a term used in
- 28:23Speaker 2: restaurants saying we no longer have it's done, you can't
- 28:27Speaker 2: order anymore. And for some crazy reason, I'll tell you why.
- 28:31Speaker 2: Because Komy took a picture of shells that spelled out
- 28:36Speaker 2: eighty six forty seven, and the Department of Justice has
- 28:40Speaker 2: decided that is a direct threat on the life of
- 28:43Speaker 2: the president. How about the signs that say get rid
- 28:47Speaker 2: of President Trump, we want Trump out of office? Are
- 28:52Speaker 2: all of those threats against the president? Can you imagine
- 28:56Speaker 2: how many thousands of people would be arrested for that?
- 28:59Speaker 3: Yeah, there's also people posting regularly on social media and
- 29:02Speaker 3: comments and in videos, you know, calling saying get rid
- 29:07Speaker 3: of Trump as well.
- 29:08Speaker 2: And some people are seeing Trump should die. That is
- 29:12Speaker 2: First Amendment. Now, you can't make a specific threat, but
- 29:16Speaker 2: you can say I hope Trump gets assassinated. That is
- 29:20Speaker 2: a First Amendment statement. You can make that. Now. Of course,
- 29:23Speaker 2: the FBI is going to show up and have a
- 29:24Speaker 2: conversation with you. You would hope, yeah, yeah, oh no,
- 29:28Speaker 2: you would. It will happen, But they're not going to
- 29:30Speaker 2: be charged because that is the First Amendment issue. So
- 29:33Speaker 2: this thing with the shells is just insanity. It makes
- 29:37Speaker 2: no sense.
- 29:38Speaker 3: Yeah, So the Kennedy Center is going to try to
- 29:42Speaker 3: pause the ruling ordering the removal of Trump's name. Of course,
- 29:46Speaker 3: a judge ruled that his name had to be removed
- 29:50Speaker 3: from the Kennedy Center because it was illegally added. And
- 29:54Speaker 3: now the board is saying they're trying to push back
- 29:58Speaker 3: and say, no, we want to keep it on here.
- 30:01Speaker 3: But the judge says Congress only Congress can institute a
- 30:05Speaker 3: change to the Kennedy Center's name and ordered it removed
- 30:07Speaker 3: by today.
- 30:09Speaker 2: And by the way, an email was sent out offering
- 30:12Speaker 2: ticket packages for the June twenty seven which used to be.
- 30:17Speaker 2: The Mark Twain Award for American Humor is now the
- 30:20Speaker 2: Donald Trump Award for American Humor. The first recipient who
- 30:24Speaker 2: is receiving it is none other than Donald Trump for
- 30:28Speaker 2: being the funniest man in America. Put in many cases, by.
- 30:34Speaker 3: The way he is, there's definitely times where I'm sure
- 30:38Speaker 3: people have laughed. I'll just say that this is, you know, scary.
- 30:45Speaker 3: Don't tell Debora Mark she's afraid of earthquakes here in
- 30:48Speaker 3: southern California, as we all are a little bit. But
- 30:51Speaker 3: a new paper says that the Earth's crust in California, specifically,
- 30:57Speaker 3: accumulative stress in the Earth's crust are higher today than
- 31:00Speaker 3: at any point over the last thousand years. So now
- 31:04Speaker 3: there's renewed concern over potential for a massive quake in
- 31:08Speaker 3: La specifically in the Kohone Pass area. It's a major
- 31:12Speaker 3: fault area. So I think we all know it's coming.
- 31:15Speaker 3: I think it's just a matter of when, of course.
- 31:18Speaker 2: And you can go to Palm Palmdale and actually see
- 31:21Speaker 2: the tectonic plates. I mean there they are right there.
- 31:25Speaker 2: I'm waiting for the next earthquake. I sort of want
- 31:27Speaker 2: it to happen because one of my dream situations is
- 31:31Speaker 2: have sex right in the middle of an earthquake, so
- 31:34Speaker 2: I can say, has the earth moved for you? No,
- 31:38Speaker 2: I've always wanted that to happen.
- 31:40Speaker 3: People are eating breakfast.
- 31:41Speaker 2: You stuck that. Okay, we're coming back. We now have
- 31:45Speaker 2: the governor's race. We know the two people that are running,
- 31:48Speaker 2: Hilton versus Bessara, and I don't know how Hilton can
- 31:53Speaker 2: possibly win this one. And although you know, weirder things
- 31:57Speaker 2: have happened, and I'll explain what exactly is going to
- 32:00Speaker 2: go on. This is KFI Am sixty. You've been listening
- 32:06Speaker 2: to the Bill Handle Show.
- 32:07Speaker 1: Catch my show Monday through Friday six am to nine am,
- 32:10Speaker 1: and anytime on demand on the iHeartRadio app.
