Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're picking up where we
• 0:06
Speaker 1: left off with Bill Clinton and his transcript from his
• 0:10
Speaker 1: trip to Congress. Question. It's also been reported that in 2011,
• 0:19
Speaker 1: your advisor Doug Band instructed an aide to remove Ms.
• 0:22
Speaker 1: Maxwell from all attendance-related lists for Clinton-related events. This was
• 0:27
Speaker 1: reportedly in wake of Virginia Roberts' and the allegations that
• 0:30
Speaker 1: she made, at the time, against many people, including Ms. Maxwell.
• 0:34
Speaker 1: Do you have any memory or knowledge of Mr. Ben's
• 0:36
Speaker 1: instruction that I just described? Answer, I don't. Question, okay,
• 0:41
Speaker 1: thank you. That takes us through most of the known
• 0:43
Speaker 1: timeline of your relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. There's just one
• 0:47
Speaker 1: more topic that I would like to cover. That is
• 0:50
Speaker 1: the Clinton Global Initiative. In 2007, Epstein's lawyer claimed that
• 0:54
Speaker 1: he was part of the original group that conceived the
• 0:57
Speaker 1: Clinton Global Initiative. Would you agree with that characterization? Answer, no. Question,
• 1:02
Speaker 1: can you elaborate a little bit why you would not
• 1:04
Speaker 1: agree with that? Answer, I would not agree with that
• 1:08
Speaker 1: because the first time I ever discussed that, what would
• 1:10
Speaker 1: become the Clinton Global Initiative was with Doug Band and
• 1:14
Speaker 1: the rest of our small group on the way back
• 1:16
Speaker 1: from Davos. And Doug said that we should have a
• 1:19
Speaker 1: meeting with this guy in New York at the opening
• 1:21
Speaker 1: of the UN. And we can make a lot of
• 1:23
Speaker 1: money because you don't have to go to Davos. And
• 1:27
Speaker 1: you can meet all these people and they'll all be here.
• 1:29
Speaker 1: And I said, I want to do it for an
• 1:32
Speaker 1: entirely different reason. It's fine if we make money. But
• 1:35
Speaker 1: the most important thing is that we can give serious
• 1:38
Speaker 1: people a chance to go to meetings and actually make
• 1:41
Speaker 1: commitments to make positive change. I'm tired of going to
• 1:44
Speaker 1: meetings where everybody just bloviates and doesn't ever do a
• 1:47
Speaker 1: damn thing. So if we can figure out how to
• 1:49
Speaker 1: do that, I'm interested. And then we got a team
• 1:53
Speaker 1: to operationalize it. It was Doug Band, Mary Morrison, who
• 1:57
Speaker 1: worked for me in the inner office at the White House,
• 1:59
Speaker 1: and a man named Ed Hughes, who was a wonderful
• 2:01
Speaker 1: young guy who stayed with us the whole 12 years.
• 2:04
Speaker 1: And they were working on how to stand up and
• 2:07
Speaker 1: do the mechanics of this. And my job was to
• 2:09
Speaker 1: try to get some people who would come that people
• 2:12
Speaker 1: would want to hear and see and try to make
• 2:15
Speaker 1: it exciting and make people actually want to make commitments.
• 2:18
Speaker 1: And so I think it was at that point that
• 2:20
Speaker 1: Ghislaine may have gotten involved. I don't know. You can
• 2:23
Speaker 1: ask him about it. But I'm just telling you how
• 2:26
Speaker 1: it began. It began with Doug said, let's do this
• 2:29
Speaker 1: and make money. And me saying, let's do this and
• 2:32
Speaker 1: make commitments. Question, I think the question, Mr. President, which
• 2:36
Speaker 1: you've answered was, was Jeffrey Epstein involved in the initiation? Answer,
• 2:42
Speaker 1: at that time, no, not at all. Question, okay. But
• 2:47
Speaker 1: I do know what happened after, but I do not
• 2:49
Speaker 1: know what happened after, says Clinton. Question, It's been publicly
• 2:53
  Speaker 1: reported that in 2006, Mr. Epstein made a $ 25, 000 donation
• 2:57
Speaker 1: to the Clinton Foundation. Do you have any specific knowledge
• 3:01
Speaker 1: or recollection of that donation? Answer, no. I saw it
• 3:04
Speaker 1: was reported. I don't know. Question, thank you. With respect
• 3:08
Speaker 1: to Ms. Maxwell, and you just touched on it very briefly,
• 3:11
Speaker 1: she told DOJ last year that she was very central
• 3:14
Speaker 1: to the startup of the Clinton Global Initiative. Would you
• 3:17
Speaker 1: agree with that characterization? Answer, I would agree that she
• 3:21
Speaker 1: worked hard. I now know I didn't at the time
• 3:25
Speaker 1: because as I explained, I was working on a whole
• 3:27
Speaker 1: nother part of this. Oh, sure you were. Had no
• 3:30
Speaker 1: idea that Glenn Maxwell was involved, huh? People that have
• 3:33
Speaker 1: given Clinton a pass here should reevaluate because he still
• 3:37
Speaker 1: has some questions to answer. Question, if I could ask
• 3:42
Speaker 1: you to limit your answer to your knowledge at the time. Answer,
• 3:46
Speaker 1: at the time, I didn't know. Question, thank you. The
• 3:48
Speaker 1: New York Times recently reported that in 2004, Ms. Maxwell...
• 3:52
Speaker 1: arranged a $ 1 million payment to an events company called
• 3:55
Speaker 1: Publicis Group, and that the payment may have had some
• 3:58
Speaker 1: connection with the first Clinton Global Initiative conference in 2005.
• 4:01
Speaker 1: The reporting suggests that Mr. Epstein may have been involved
• 4:06
Speaker 1: with the payment, or somehow aware of the payment. Do
• 4:10
Speaker 1: you have any specific memory or knowledge or recollection of
• 4:13
Speaker 1: the $ 1 million payment that I just described? Clinton, no. Question,
• 4:17
Speaker 1: it's also been reported that in September of 2013, At
• 4:21
Speaker 1: a Clinton Global Initiative conference, Ms. Maxwell was recognized as
• 4:25
Speaker 1: a commitment to Action Partner for her work on behalf
• 4:28
Speaker 1: of the Terramar Project, which was an ocean conservation nonprofit
• 4:32
Speaker 1: that she founded in 2012. Do you have any memory
• 4:35
Speaker 1: or knowledge of that conference? Clinton, I do. Question, great.
• 4:39
Speaker 1: Could you describe it a little bit, what you recall? Answer, yeah,
• 4:43
Speaker 1: because this shows you how the CGI work, not for Ghislaine,
• 4:47
Speaker 1: for everybody. First, she was still with Ted Wade. And
• 4:50
Speaker 1: he was still heavily involved in ocean work. So that
• 4:53
Speaker 1: was sort of an incentive. But she had organized this
• 4:56
Speaker 1: group whose objective was to, in fact, take two massive
• 5:00
Speaker 1: islands made of metal and junk out of the Atlantic.
• 5:03
Speaker 1: And they were floating around. One of them had gotten
• 5:05
Speaker 1: to the Caribbean. They were floating around in all this metal.
• 5:09
Speaker 1: So that was what she was trying to do. It
• 5:11
Speaker 1: was a good idea. And she was recognized for that.
• 5:15
Speaker 1: The fact that she was recognized was not particularly remarkable.
• 5:18
Speaker 1: Everybody who makes a commitment goes through a photo line
• 5:21
Speaker 1: and gets recognized. Question, do you have any personal role
• 5:25
Speaker 1: in Ms. Maxwell's recognition at that event or Bill Clinton? No.
• 5:29
Speaker 1: I might have been in the room at the time
• 5:31
Speaker 1: that she got it. No, they put the recognition in
• 5:34
Speaker 1: the room. I remember this specifically because it was where
• 5:37
Speaker 1: all the ocean freaks were. All the people that cared
• 5:40
Speaker 1: about this, that wanted to be, so that's why they
• 5:43
Speaker 1: wanted those things announced there. Question, by ocean freaks, you
• 5:46
Speaker 1: mean people who are passionate about the ocean? Clinton, yeah. Question,
• 5:49
Speaker 1: thank you. Clinton, I mean, people who were fascinated about
• 5:53
Speaker 1: doing this, it was great, and so I didn't think
• 5:56
Speaker 1: anything about it. Question, do you have any additional knowledge
• 6:00
Speaker 1: or recollection related to Ms. Maxwell's role at the event? Answer, no. Question,
• 6:05
Speaker 1: reportedly in February of 2014, you had dinner with Ms.
• 6:09
Speaker 1: Maxwell and others in Los Angeles at a vegan restaurant
• 6:12
Speaker 1: called Crossroads Kitchen. That dinner may have been organized by
• 6:16
Speaker 1: your then-deputy chief staff, John Davidson, perhaps around 20 guests.
• 6:20
Speaker 1: Do you have any recollection of the dinner I just described? Answer,
• 6:24
Speaker 1: I had a lot of dinners like that in Los Angeles,
• 6:27
Speaker 1: so I don't remember that specific one. But whenever I
• 6:30
Speaker 1: went to Los Angeles, I attempted to have dinner someplace
• 6:32
Speaker 1: in public with a lot of friends, just to keep
• 6:35
Speaker 1: in touch with them, you know, keep going. Question, as
• 6:38
Speaker 1: far as you recall, when was the last time you
• 6:40
Speaker 1: had any form of communication with Ms. Maxwell? Clinton, it
• 6:44
Speaker 1: must have been a decade ago. It may be even longer.
• 6:47
Speaker 1: I don't know, but it was a long time ago. Question, Mr. President.
• 6:51
Speaker 1: It's a pleasure to be here, and quickly, on a
• 6:53
Speaker 1: lighter note, a point of personal privilege. My birthday is
• 6:57
Speaker 1: November 5th, 1974, which shouldn't mean anything to you. But
• 7:01
Speaker 1: what it means is that I turned 18 two days
• 7:04
Speaker 1: after the election, and I couldn't vote, and I'm still
• 7:07
Speaker 1: upset about that. So on behalf of my mom, I apologize.
• 7:11
Speaker 1: She was a little slow. I mean, really? Speaker 31,
• 7:16
Speaker 1: whoever you are, what a clown. Embarrassment-ass clown. Now, President Clinton,
• 7:23
Speaker 1: as counsel noted at the beginning of the deposition, Donald
• 7:25
Speaker 1: Trump posted on social media that he wanted Attorney General
• 7:29
Speaker 1: Pam Bondi to investigate you and other prominent Democrats in
• 7:32
Speaker 1: order to distract from his own close ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
• 7:36
Speaker 1: The post was previously marked as Minority Exhibit B, which
• 7:39
Speaker 1: you already have. President Trump's post refers to Jeffrey Epstein's
• 7:43
Speaker 1: crimes against young girls and women as the Epstein hoax.
• 7:47
Speaker 1: His post also completely ignores several other high-profile individuals, including
• 7:52
Speaker 1: Republicans and allies of President Trump, who are known to
• 7:56
Speaker 1: have relationships with Epstein. In fact, the Epstein files contain
• 8:00
Speaker 1: numerous officials in the current and previous Trump administrations who
• 8:04
Speaker 1: have connections to Jeffrey Epstein, including Howard Lutnick, RFK Jr.,
• 8:08
Speaker 1: Steve Bannon, Tom Barrett, Kevin Warsh, and Mehmet Oz, to
• 8:12
Speaker 1: name a few. President Clinton, to your knowledge, has the
• 8:15
Speaker 1: Trump administration done anything at all to investigate these other
• 8:19
Speaker 1: individuals with ties to Epstein? How would Bill Clinton know that?
• 8:24
Speaker 1: This is a dog and pony show, like I've told
• 8:26
Speaker 1: you from the fucking beginning. Well, I wouldn't be in
• 8:30
Speaker 1: a position to know they. It's the truth, as I
• 8:32
Speaker 1: said earlier. The only conversation that I've had with Trump
• 8:36
Speaker 1: about this was early in 2000, and I was in
• 8:39
Speaker 1: no information that he had anything wrong. I just want
• 8:42
Speaker 1: it all out there. I want everybody to get it
• 8:44
Speaker 1: all out there and let everybody see where we are. Question,
• 8:48
Speaker 1: and you had any conversations with him since the early
• 8:51
Speaker 1: 2000s about the subject matter? Answer, no. Question, and then
• 8:55
Speaker 1: my last question is, Howard Lutnick recently went so far
• 8:58
Speaker 1: as to lie about his close connection to Jeffrey Epstein,
• 9:01
Speaker 1: but the truth came out with the release of the files.
• 9:04
Speaker 1: President Clinton, is Howard Lutnick still employed as Secretary of
• 9:08
Speaker 1: Commerce in the Trump administration to your knowledge? Answer, I
• 9:11
Speaker 1: think he is. Question, and in your opinion, why has
• 9:14
Speaker 1: Donald Trump ignored these other prominent figures who had close
• 9:18
Speaker 1: ties to Epstein? Well, the same reason you ignored Bill
• 9:20
Speaker 1: Richardson and George Mitchell and the rest of them. Clinton,
• 9:26
Speaker 1: Lutnick runs a big company and has made a lot
• 9:28
Speaker 1: of money and has supported him strongly. I don't think
• 9:31
Speaker 1: he believes that he's done anything bad enough. I think
• 9:34
Speaker 1: he thinks he took his family to the island and
• 9:37
Speaker 1: he could have done anything wrong. That's what I think
• 9:39
Speaker 1: he thinks, but I'm speculating. I'm doing what I have
• 9:42
Speaker 1: no business doing because I really don't know. Question. Thank you, Mr. President,
• 9:48
Speaker 1: for being here for your service. I'll be brief. I
• 9:52
Speaker 1: think that the most pertinent question may have been asked today.
• 9:56
Speaker 1: I want to talk about transparency. You and Secretary Clinton
• 9:59
Speaker 1: were both very clear about your desire to testify publicly
• 10:02
Speaker 1: before this committee. In fact, on February 6th, 2026, you
• 10:06
Speaker 1: posted on social media, I will not sit idly as
• 10:10
Speaker 1: they use me as a prop in a closed door
• 10:11
Speaker 1: kangaroo court by a Republican party running scared. If they
• 10:15
Speaker 1: want answers, let's stop the games and do this the
• 10:18
Speaker 1: right way. in a public hearing where the American people
• 10:21
Speaker 1: can see for themselves what this is really about. Well,
• 10:24
Speaker 1: we see, Mr. President, and it doesn't look good for you.
• 10:28
Speaker 1: President Clinton, why do you feel it's important for you
• 10:30
Speaker 1: to testify before this committee in a public setting? Answer,
• 10:34
Speaker 1: because I think that first, what happens with Jeffrey Epstein
• 10:37
Speaker 1: was horrible. What he did and what Glenn Maxwell was
• 10:40
Speaker 1: convicted of was horrible. We can't tolerate it in America
• 10:43
Speaker 1: and shouldn't. We ought to keep doing as Hillary talked
• 10:46
Speaker 1: about yesterday. Try our part to get rid of that
• 10:49
Speaker 1: kind of trafficking around the world. Secondly, I was on
• 10:52
Speaker 1: the plane. It may have been I've said something today
• 10:55
Speaker 1: that gave you some indication that would help change policy
• 10:58
Speaker 1: or something. So I thought it was important. But I
• 11:01
Speaker 1: also think people need to know that there's been a
• 11:03
Speaker 1: little bit of a zigzag and ambivalence about how hard
• 11:06
Speaker 1: this thing should have been put out there. And I'm
• 11:09
Speaker 1: not pointing the figure at anybody or anything. I'm just
• 11:12
Speaker 1: saying we know that. And so I think it's important
• 11:14
Speaker 1: that we get it all out. Question so to be clear.
• 11:19
Speaker 1: So this committee issued a subpoena to the Department of
• 11:21
Speaker 1: Justice to release the full and unredacted files last summer.
• 11:25
Speaker 1: There's also now the Epstein Files Transparency Act that asked
• 11:28
Speaker 1: for the same that President Trump signed into law. But
• 11:32
Speaker 1: still the Department of Justice under this administration has not
• 11:35
Speaker 1: released all the files and there have been many illegal redactions.
• 11:40
Speaker 1: Do you think that we, of course, as Congress and
• 11:42
Speaker 1: the American public should get the full unredacted file immediately? Answer,
• 11:48
Speaker 1: I think unless there's some serious danger of physical harm
• 11:50
Speaker 1: to one of the victims, there's some national security interest
• 11:53
Speaker 1: involving intelligence, because you've heard these, and some of you
• 11:56
Speaker 1: think there's some intelligence issues, national security issues. I think
• 12:00
Speaker 1: the rest of it ought to be gotten out, and
• 12:03
Speaker 1: I think we just need to get to a point
• 12:04
Speaker 1: where we can put this behind us. And then I
• 12:07
Speaker 1: think you, I hope, you can and will help build
• 12:10
Speaker 1: us a system that works in America the way our
• 12:12
Speaker 1: international system works best, in trying to identify and stop
• 12:16
Speaker 1: human trafficking in and trying to make people whole once
• 12:19
Speaker 1: they've been damaged. Question and not a question, but this
• 12:23
Speaker 1: is just a response, the law is very clear about
• 12:26
Speaker 1: the identities of the victims. Unfortunately, the Department of Justice
• 12:30
Speaker 1: has wrongfully released some of the information, including personally identifiable information,
• 12:34
Speaker 1: while illegally redacting the names of potential co-conspirators. Bill Clinton,
• 12:40
Speaker 1: they're going to kill me for saying this, but I
• 12:42
Speaker 1: think it's important to say. I think it's entirely possible
• 12:45
Speaker 1: that the people at the Justice Department I don't agree
• 12:48
Speaker 1: with on nearly anything, right? But it's possible they didn't
• 12:51
Speaker 1: intentionally cover some of this up. But it's hard to
• 12:54
Speaker 1: accept that when you look at the other problems in
• 12:56
Speaker 1: dealing with information. So you guys got to clear that up.
• 13:00
Speaker 1: Clean it up. Decide how you think it should be handled. Question.
• 13:05
Speaker 1: So before we go off the record, just one clarification.
• 13:09
Speaker 1: It's more just for counsels. The quote from the 2024
• 13:12
Speaker 1: memoir I think was accurately quoted in the first instance.
• 13:16
Speaker 1: The first sentence is he, meaning Mr. Epstein, hurt a
• 13:19
Speaker 1: lot of people, but I knew nothing about it. And
• 13:22
Speaker 1: by the time he was first arrested in 2005, I
• 13:25
Speaker 1: had not contacted him. And that's the end of the sentence.
• 13:29
Speaker 1: That's page 373. So that's just for counsel. No, not
• 13:34
Speaker 1: at all. They apologize, blah, blah, blah. And with that,
• 13:38
Speaker 1: we can end this round and go off the record.
• 13:41
Speaker 1: All right, folks, we're going to wrap up right here, too.
• 13:43
Speaker 1: And in the next episode dealing with the topic, we're
• 13:45
Speaker 1: going to pick up where we left off. All the
• 13:47
Speaker 1: information that goes with this episode can be found in
• 13:50
Speaker 1: the description box. What's up, everyone? And welcome to another
• 13:53
Speaker 1: episode of the Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're picking
• 13:57
Speaker 1: up where we left off with Bill Clinton and his
• 14:00
Speaker 1: transcript from his trip to Congress. Question, we'll go back
• 14:04
Speaker 1: on the record. Mr. President, during the last hour, there
• 14:07
Speaker 1: was a discussion related to your book with Minority Council.
• 14:11
Speaker 1: I just wanted to read the excerpt into the record.
• 14:13
Speaker 1: And just a quick question for clarification. You said I
• 14:17
Speaker 1: had always thought Epstein was odd, but had no inkling
• 14:19
Speaker 1: of the crimes he was committing. He hurt a lot
• 14:21
Speaker 1: of people, but I knew nothing about it. And by
• 14:24
Speaker 1: the time he was first arrested in 2005, I had
• 14:27
Speaker 1: stopped contact with him. We understand that Mr. Epstein was
• 14:30
Speaker 1: first arrested in July of 2006. Can you explain the discrepancy?
• 14:38
Speaker 1: Bill Clinton's lawyer. Are you asking him to fact check
• 14:40
Speaker 1: his own book? Question, correct. Answer, okay, I mean. He
• 14:45
Speaker 1: gets cut off by the person asking the questions. Can
• 14:47
Speaker 1: you explain it or not? Bill Clinton, I can't. I'm sorry.
• 14:50
Speaker 1: We made a mistake. Question, thank you. Now it's Nancy Mace. Question,
• 14:56
Speaker 1: all right, Mr. President, Congresswoman, Nancy Mace from South Carolina.
• 15:01
Speaker 1: Thank you for being here with us for hours today.
• 15:04
  Speaker 1: I know it's been a long day, and I know
• 15:06
Speaker 1: that we're going to wrap up soon for you. Did
• 15:08
Speaker 1: you know one of the witnesses who testified in the
• 15:10
Speaker 1: Epstein case That Epstein said you like them young? Why
• 15:13
Speaker 1: would Epstein say that about you? Clinton's lawyer jumps in.
• 15:17
Speaker 1: You're asking him to think about why Mr. Epstein would
• 15:19
Speaker 1: say something about? Mace cuts the lawyer off. Correct. Why
• 15:23
Speaker 1: would Epstein say that about the president? Answer. So she's
• 15:28
Speaker 1: asking you to try to be in Mr. Epstein's mind
• 15:31
Speaker 1: and guess at what Mr. Epstein would have thought about.
• 15:35
Speaker 1: Nancy Mace. Clinton likes them young. Referring to girls. Bill Clinton. Well,
• 15:40
Speaker 1: first of all, that's not true. Nancy Mace, what's not true?
• 15:44
Speaker 1: Bill Clinton, that I have any interest in underage. Nancy
• 15:47
Speaker 1: Mace cuts him off. I didn't say underage, I said young.
• 15:50
Speaker 1: Bill Clinton, but it's still not true. Nancy Mace is
• 15:53
Speaker 1: an intern young. Bill Clinton, yes. Nancy Mace, okay. Bill Clinton,
• 15:58
Speaker 1: at my age, anybody younger than I am, was young.
• 16:01
Speaker 1: Nancy Mace, did you know Jeffrey Epstein instructed a witness
• 16:04
Speaker 1: to deny you were ever on his island? Bill Clinton,
• 16:07
Speaker 1: he didn't have to, since I was never there. Nancy Mace,
• 16:11
Speaker 1: did you ever travel to Zorro Ranch? Bill Clinton, is
• 16:14
Speaker 1: that the one in New Mexico? Nancy Mace, yes. Bill Clinton, no. Boy,
• 16:19
Speaker 1: that's a lie. We have how many witnesses that say
• 16:23
Speaker 1: that he and his family used to vacation there? Nancy Mace, okay.
• 16:27
Speaker 1: Have you ever flown on anyone else's private jet 26
• 16:30
Speaker 1: times or more for overseas trips? Clinton, I've flown as
• 16:35
Speaker 1: many miles on other jets, but never with as many stops.
• 16:38
Speaker 1: Nancy Mace, yes. How many other people's planes have you used,
• 16:42
Speaker 1: like Epstein's, 26 times or miles, etc.? Clinton, I don't know.
• 16:47
Speaker 1: I did with Steve Bing, who's now deceased, and probably
• 16:50
Speaker 1: with four or five others. Nancy Mace, okay. Bill Clinton,
• 16:54
Speaker 1: I'd like to think. Mace, so maybe about a half
• 16:57
Speaker 1: a dozen times. Billionaires total or so? Bill Clinton, yeah.
• 17:02
Speaker 1: Nancy Mace, how many dinners did you have with Glenn
• 17:05
Speaker 1: Maxwell or Jeffrey Epstein in attendance? The lawyer jumps in.
• 17:10
Speaker 1: She's asking to the best of your recollection. Bill Clinton,
• 17:13
Speaker 1: I have no idea. Question by Mace. Okay. Did you
• 17:17
Speaker 1: ever discuss sexual misconduct allegations made against you with Epstein
• 17:20
Speaker 1: or Maxwell? Clinton, never. Question. Did Epstein or Maxwell offer
• 17:26
Speaker 1: to help manage or silence women who made sexual misconduct
• 17:29
Speaker 1: allegations against you? Clinton, no. Question. Did Epstein or Maxwell
• 17:34
Speaker 1: ever offer financial support directly to or indirectly to legal
• 17:38
Speaker 1: defense funds related to impeachment proceedings or civil actions against you? Clinton,
• 17:43
Speaker 1: not to my knowledge. Question, do you think a young
• 17:46
Speaker 1: girl massaging a president is unusual? Lawyer, are you asking
• 17:51
Speaker 1: his opinion? Nancy Mace, well, he was massaged by a
• 17:56
Speaker 1: young woman. I'm asking if he thinks it's unusual that
• 17:58
Speaker 1: a sitting president of the United States, leader of the
• 18:02
Speaker 1: free world, that it's unusual. Speaker, so I'm sorry, a
• 18:06
Speaker 1: young woman. Would be, are you talking the instance of
• 18:10
Speaker 1: the back massage? Mace, yes. Is it unusual that a
• 18:14
Speaker 1: young woman would be massaging? Lawyer jumps in, that occurred
• 18:18
Speaker 1: while he was not president. I'm just trying to understand.
• 18:21
Speaker 1: You said president of the United States. Nancy Mace, former president. Lawyer,
• 18:26
Speaker 1: thank you. Just trying to make sure that we're correcting
• 18:28
Speaker 1: the time frame. Mace, are you filibustering? Lawyer, no, I
• 18:32
Speaker 1: don't need to. Mace, okay. Lawyer, I'm actually trying to
• 18:37
Speaker 1: make sure that you gets cut off by Mace. I
• 18:41
Speaker 1: speak pretty clearly. He said inaudible. Lawyer, once again, you
• 18:46
Speaker 1: said he was a sitting president. Now another speaker jumps in.
• 18:49
Speaker 1: Excuse me, excuse me. Could we just please go one
• 18:52
Speaker 1: at a time? Thank you. Lawyer, you said sitting president.
• 18:56
Speaker 1: I want to be clear so that when he answers you, Mace,
• 19:00
Speaker 1: when you were sitting president, however you want to do it. Speaker,
• 19:03
Speaker 1: the record is clear. Nancy Mace, is it unusual? The lawyer, objection.
• 19:08
Speaker 1: Bill Clinton, I have no idea if it's unusual or not. Lawyer,
• 19:12
Speaker 1: objection calls for speculation. Nancy Mace, I figured. Did you
• 19:17
Speaker 1: ever think that all these women around Jeffrey Epstein or
• 19:19
Speaker 1: Glenn Maxwell was odd, unusual, weird, or creepy? Bill Clinton,
• 19:24
Speaker 1: there weren't all that many around when I was there. Question,
• 19:28
Speaker 1: how many would you say is not that many? Clinton,
• 19:31
Speaker 1: I think on this big plane that... Was working long hours,
• 19:35
Speaker 1: having two to four people on there? I thought was
• 19:37
Speaker 1: as far as I knew, they were all helping. Nancy Mace,
• 19:40
Speaker 1: flight attendants and tank tops and jeans, right? Clinton, no. Mace,
• 19:45
Speaker 1: do you believe you were a victim of Jeffrey Epstein's
• 19:47
Speaker 1: intel operation? Do you think that you might have been
• 19:50
Speaker 1: caught up in some of what he was maybe potentially doing?
• 19:54
Speaker 1: Lawyer jumps in. Excuse me, counselor, which question are you asking?
• 19:59
Speaker 1: Nancy Mace, I'm asking if she gets cut off by
• 20:02
Speaker 1: the lawyer. Intel operation? Mace, some type of intel operation.
• 20:06
Speaker 1: I'm just curious. because it's been speculated on today and yesterday. Clinton,
• 20:11
Speaker 1: I understand. Mace, that he may have been an intel asset.
• 20:16
Speaker 1: Do you think perhaps knowing what we know now, the
• 20:19
Speaker 1: proclivity of it all, that he may have been targeting
• 20:22
Speaker 1: you as part of an intel operation? Clinton, I doubt it.
• 20:26
Speaker 1: Nancy Mace, okay. In 2019, after he was arrested, I
• 20:30
Speaker 1: guess this would be the second time. You stated you
• 20:32
Speaker 1: knew nothing of Epstein's terrible crimes, since you only met briefly,
• 20:36
Speaker 1: on only two occasions. Was this statement false? Lawyer jumps in.
• 20:41
Speaker 1: Excuse me, counsel. Could you put in the record? The lawyer,
• 20:45
Speaker 1: another lawyer jumps in. That's not an accurate statement. Can
• 20:48
Speaker 1: you please share with us? Nancy Mace. Yeah. In 2019,
• 20:53
Speaker 1: it's reported by the media. Lawyer, which media? Nancy Mace.
• 20:59
Speaker 1: This says this is the gets cut off by the lawyer.
• 21:02
Speaker 1: Could you share a copy, please? Nancy Mace. OK, Deli Beast.
• 21:06
Speaker 1: It says the title of this. Bill Clinton failed to
• 21:08
Speaker 1: mention his intimate 1995 dinner with Epstein. Lawyer, we can
• 21:13
Speaker 1: give counsel and the witness, Jack Emmer, a moment to
• 21:16
Speaker 1: review the exhibit. Lawyer, well, we'd like this statement. I mean,
• 21:21
Speaker 1: he put out the statement in 2019. Bill Clinton, I
• 21:24
Speaker 1: don't know anything about that. Another lawyer, this time for
• 21:28
Speaker 1: the Republicans, a full statement. Jack Emmer jumps in. It'll
• 21:34
Speaker 1: be marked Exhibit 22. Same lawyer as before, so to
• 21:37
Speaker 1: be clear, the basis of your question is a news
• 21:40
Speaker 1: article with respect to the Daily Beast as to a dinner.
• 21:43
Speaker 1: Is that accurate? Nancy Mace, nope. It's a question in
• 21:46
Speaker 1: the first paragraph which reads, Hours inaudible. Jeffrey Epstein was
• 21:50
Speaker 1: arraigned Monday on several sex trafficking charges. Former President Bill
• 21:55
Speaker 1: Clinton publicly downplayed his relationship with the pedophile financier, saying
• 21:59
Speaker 1: he knew nothing of the terrible crimes since they only
• 22:02
Speaker 1: met briefly on two occasions. And that's in the Daily Beast,
• 22:06
Speaker 1: is that not? Nancy Mace, correct, which is in your
• 22:10
Speaker 1: hand right now. Question right, that's what I just said. Mace, yeah. Speaker,
• 22:15
Speaker 1: thank you. Bill Clinton, what would you like to know? Question,
• 22:19
Speaker 1: my question is, by Nancy Mace, you stated you'd only
• 22:22
Speaker 1: met Epstein in 2019. You say you'd only met him
• 22:25
Speaker 1: on two occasions. Was this statement false when you made it?
• 22:29
Speaker 1: Lawyer jumps in, to be clear, this is a news
• 22:31
Speaker 1: reporting that is saying that's what he said. Nancy Mace,
• 22:35
Speaker 1: did you make that statement in 2019? Lawyer, would you
• 22:38
Speaker 1: put that in that statement that he made? This is
• 22:41
Speaker 1: a news report. It's double hearsay. Nancy Mace, no. Did
• 22:44
Speaker 1: you make the statement in 2019 as reported by the media? Lawyer,
• 22:49
Speaker 1: so you're asking whether or not he made the statement
• 22:52
Speaker 1: to the Deli Beast? Mace, no. It says quote. It's
• 22:55
Speaker 1: quoting him or his office, etc. Are you denying that
• 22:59
Speaker 1: you made the statement? Lawyer, it's quoting a sentence. If
• 23:03
Speaker 1: you put the entire statement, that's all we ask, to
• 23:05
Speaker 1: be fair. Give him the statement, not what has been
• 23:08
Speaker 1: reported on. I have no idea what the Daily Beast
• 23:10
Speaker 1: take is. Lawyer, the statement was released that was broader
• 23:15
Speaker 1: than this, and they relied on only a portion of it.
• 23:18
Speaker 1: They relied on only a portion of his full statement.
• 23:21
Speaker 1: Nancy Mace, and that's the portion I'm focusing on. Lawyer,
• 23:25
Speaker 1: well then, so it's actually a misrepresentation of his entire statement. Yo,
• 23:29
Speaker 1: have you guys noticed what's going on here? The only
• 23:32
Speaker 1: person that has his lawyers fighting the battle for him
• 23:34
Speaker 1: during this transcript process is Bill Clinton. I wonder why.
• 23:41
Speaker 1: Nancy Mace. Well, can you let your client answer? Lawyer. Well,
• 23:44
Speaker 1: can you ask it in a way that would make
• 23:46
Speaker 1: it clear what you're actually asking? Mace. I made it
• 23:49
Speaker 1: very clear. His statement said that he met with Jeffrey Epstein.
• 23:52
Speaker 1: The lawyer. Is the broader question of what did he say? Mace.
• 23:56
Speaker 1: He said he briefly met with him on only two occasions. Lawyer. No,
• 24:01
Speaker 1: the Daily Beast selected that piece out. Mace, so you're
• 24:05
Speaker 1: denying that the president made the statement? Lawyer, what I'm
• 24:08
Speaker 1: saying is that there is an entire statement that the
• 24:11
Speaker 1: statement on which the president spoke to. Nancy Mace, I'd
• 24:15
Speaker 1: like to provide it to the committee. Lawyer, we're happy
• 24:17
Speaker 1: to provide that to the committee. Mace, okay, I would
• 24:20
Speaker 1: like to ask the president this question. Was that a
• 24:24
Speaker 1: false statement that you made in 2019 that you only
• 24:27
Speaker 1: met with Jeffrey Epstein on two occasions? Lawyer, object to
• 24:30
Speaker 1: the basis of the question. You're asking him about a
• 24:33
Speaker 1: news article, not the statement he made. Nancy Mace, I'm
• 24:36
Speaker 1: quoting him. I'm quoting the president of the United States.
• 24:39
Speaker 1: Are you denying the president made the statement? Are you
• 24:42
Speaker 1: denying he made the statement? I want to know. Lawyer, no,
• 24:45
Speaker 1: I'm telling you that the president made a full statement.
• 24:47
Speaker 1: You're selecting a piece of it. Let's put in the
• 24:50
Speaker 1: entire statement that he made. Nancy Mace, I wasn't in
• 24:54
Speaker 1: federal office in 2019. I was not part of this committee.
• 24:58
Speaker 1: I was the state house rep. from Goose Creek, South Carolina,
• 25:02
Speaker 1: and I'm quoting open sources that I have, to the
• 25:04
Speaker 1: best of my knowledge. I'm not rich with a bunch
• 25:07
Speaker 1: of attorneys, okay? I'm doing the best that I can
• 25:09
Speaker 1: to get the information that I can. And I'm asking
• 25:12
Speaker 1: the president was telling a lie in 2019 when he
• 25:15
Speaker 1: stated to the public he'd only met with Epstein on
• 25:18
Speaker 1: two occasions. Lawyer, he didn't say that. He didn't say
• 25:22
Speaker 1: to the public, you misrepresented. Congressman Mace, let me be clear.
• 25:27
Speaker 1: I'm not asking about your right to ask him questions.
• 25:30
Speaker 1: But don't do it on the basis of a news article.
• 25:32
Speaker 1: The news article is quoting his statement. Nancy Mace, so
• 25:35
Speaker 1: is this news article lying? Is the news article false? Lawyer,
• 25:40
Speaker 1: it's false if you take it to mean what you
• 25:42
Speaker 1: just say, that the statement did not do. Nancy Mace,
• 25:46
Speaker 1: do you understand English? Seriously. Lawyer, I think I do.
• 25:50
Speaker 1: I'm not from South Carolina, but I think I do.
• 25:53
Speaker 1: Nancy Mace, did you make a statement, Mr. President, in
• 25:57
Speaker 1: 2019 that you only met with Jeffrey Epstein twice? I'm
• 26:00
Speaker 1: asking the question a different way. Bill Clinton, I have
• 26:03
Speaker 1: no idea. But I think that when I answer that,
• 26:05
Speaker 1: I don't believe I remembered anything about meeting him in 1995. Mace,
• 26:10
Speaker 1: so when making a statement about Jeffrey Epstein in 2019,
• 26:14
Speaker 1: would you have checked with your staff on maybe White
• 26:17
Speaker 1: House logs about the 17 times he visited, dinners you
• 26:20
Speaker 1: had with him, fundraising that you did with him, fundraising
• 26:23
Speaker 1: dinners he was on? You were on his flights 26 times.
• 26:26
Speaker 1: Would you have checked with your staff before making such
• 26:28
Speaker 1: a statement? Lawyer, Congresswoman Mace, what statement are you talking about?
• 26:34
Speaker 1: Are you talking about the entire statement that he made
• 26:37
Speaker 1: in 2019? Ms. Mace, can I just ask you, can
• 26:41
Speaker 1: I ask you for the record? Mace, excuse me? Lawyer, Ms. Mace,
• 26:45
Speaker 1: can I ask you for the record? Can you read
• 26:47
Speaker 1: the article into the record, please? Nancy Mace, I'm not
• 26:50
Speaker 1: going to read the article into the record. Lawyer, well, Ms. Mace,
• 26:53
Speaker 1: you're indicating that this article misrepresents the piece. Could you
• 26:57
Speaker 1: read the article into the record? Redacted, read an article
• 27:00
Speaker 1: into the record. I'm not going to do that. You're
• 27:03
Speaker 1: not in charge of me. I'm quoting from the article. Lawyer,
• 27:06
Speaker 1: I'm not seeking to be in charge of you, believe me.
• 27:08
Speaker 1: That is something I would not at all seek to be.
• 27:11
Speaker 1: Nancy Mace, don't even try. Lawyer, so I want to
• 27:14
Speaker 1: be respectful, but I'm asking if you're asking him to
• 27:17
Speaker 1: speak this, can you please put the entire article on
• 27:20
Speaker 1: the record? Nancy Mace, the entire article is in the
• 27:23
Speaker 1: record as an exhibit. What exhibit number is this? Jack Emmer,
• 27:27
Speaker 1: number 22- Nancy Mace, 22, lawyer for Clinton, and still,
• 27:32
Speaker 1: Jack Emmer, counsel. Nancy Mace jumps in, it's already in
• 27:36
Speaker 1: the record. Jack Emmer now jumps in. The question has
• 27:39
Speaker 1: been clarified to reflect only the small portion of the
• 27:42
Speaker 1: larger statement, to whatever extent the witness is able to
• 27:45
Speaker 1: answer to his recollection of that portion of the statement,
• 27:48
Speaker 1: and any preparation that occurred to make that statement. Lawyer,
• 27:52
Speaker 1: so in other words, what you have just articulated, that
• 27:55
Speaker 1: the question's been clarified by Ms. Mace, or by you,
• 27:59
Speaker 1: that what is intended is to actually only be speaking
• 28:01
Speaker 1: to the selected piece out of the entire statement that
• 28:04
Speaker 1: was released by the president's office. Is that what you're clarifying?
• 28:08
Speaker 1: Nancy Mace, that's what I'm focused on, yes. Bill Clinton, okay,
• 28:12
Speaker 1: so if you read this, you really want to know
• 28:15
Speaker 1: is if I was at a dinner. Nancy Mace, no,
• 28:17
Speaker 1: I don't. My question was on that statement. Bill Clinton,
• 28:22
Speaker 1: that Ron Perlman gave? Mace, no, sir, no, sir. I'm
• 28:26
Speaker 1: not asking about the dinner. I'm asking about the statement
• 28:29
Speaker 1: at the beginning of the article. I would like to
• 28:31
Speaker 1: ask you another question. Your statement in 2019 about only
• 28:35
Speaker 1: meeting with Epstein on two occasions briefly. The lawyer, that
• 28:39
Speaker 1: is not a direct. I'm going to object to that characterization.
• 28:42
Speaker 1: That's not what the statement says. Nancy Mace, okay, so
• 28:46
Speaker 1: the third paragraph down. Lawyer, you're reading the Daily Beast article?
• 28:50
Speaker 1: Nancy Mace, by the way, and on the third paragraph
• 28:53
Speaker 1: down it says, In his Monday statement, Clinton said he
• 28:56
Speaker 1: had only one meeting with Epstein in his Harlem office
• 28:59
Speaker 1: in 2002, and around the same time made one brief
• 29:03
Speaker 1: visit to Epstein's New York apartment with a staff member
• 29:06
Speaker 1: and his security detail. Those are the two meetings that
• 29:09
Speaker 1: were referenced. Lawyer, that's in addition to this. The Daily
• 29:14
Speaker 1: Beast Bill Clinton failed to mention his intimate dinner in
• 29:18
Speaker 1: 1995 with Epstein. That's by Pilar Melendez on the 11th
• 29:21
Speaker 1: of July, 2019. Nancy Mace. All right, Mr. President, your
• 29:26
Speaker 1: statement saying you only met with Epstein briefly twice. Was
• 29:29
Speaker 1: that part of an effort to cover up your close
• 29:31
Speaker 1: relationship with Jeffrey Epstein? Lawyer object to the form of
• 29:35
Speaker 1: the question. Misstates the record she's asking if you were
• 29:39
Speaker 1: trying to mislead the public Bill Clinton no Nancy Mace
• 29:43
Speaker 1: okay how many times did Glenn Maxwell visit your home
• 29:46
Speaker 1: in Chappaqua Bill Clinton I have no idea Nancy Mace
• 29:49
Speaker 1: who invited her Bill Clinton well I don't know I
• 29:52
Speaker 1: don't know how she may have been the lawyer jumps
• 29:55
Speaker 1: in Mr. President that's it Nancy Mace okay Bill Clinton,
• 30:00
Speaker 1: Hillary had political events there. Nancy Mace, okay, so to
• 30:04
Speaker 1: your knowledge, was she at your home in Chappaqua? Likely
• 30:08
Speaker 1: because your wife had her over for Senate events. That's
• 30:12
Speaker 1: what you testified earlier today, correct? Lawyer, that's not what
• 30:15
Speaker 1: he testified, but please ask the question as to what
• 30:18
Speaker 1: he would actually thank you. I appreciate it. Bill Clinton,
• 30:22
  Speaker 1: I don't know, but if you're implying the reverse, I'll
• 30:24
Speaker 1: volunteer something. She was never at my house in Chappaqua
• 30:27
Speaker 1: for any personal reason. Nancy Mace, I didn't say anything
• 30:31
Speaker 1: for personal reasons. Clinton, no you didn't, but you had
• 30:34
Speaker 1: a great tone in your voice. The lawyer, Mr. President,
• 30:38
Speaker 1: let's just, Nancy Mace, thank you. I'll take that as
• 30:41
Speaker 1: a compliment. Bill Clinton, it is a compliment. Nancy Grace,
• 30:45
Speaker 1: thank you. And I didn't go to Yale Law School,
• 30:48
Speaker 1: or any law school for that matter. Yesterday, your wife,
• 30:51
Speaker 1: she testified that Ghislaine Maxwell was never at her home.
• 30:54
Speaker 1: And I believe you stated earlier today, you thought that
• 30:56
Speaker 1: if she was over there, it would be for Senate events.
• 30:59
Speaker 1: So was your wife falsely testifying yesterday? Warrior jumps in, objection,
• 31:04
Speaker 1: mischaracterizes in his wife's testimony yesterday. And so unless you
• 31:09
Speaker 1: are all going to provide the transcript or you're going
• 31:11
Speaker 1: to factually provide that information, he's not in a position
• 31:14
Speaker 1: where he can address that. Bill Clinton, I believe all
• 31:19
Speaker 1: I said was that I didn't know what she had done.
• 31:21
Speaker 1: Nancy Mace, you postured that maybe it was for her Senate.
• 31:25
Speaker 1: I'm going to have one last question, Mr. Chairman, and
• 31:28
Speaker 1: then you can take over. I believe you stated today,
• 31:30
Speaker 1: and I know it's been a number of years, on
• 31:32
Speaker 1: or around 2008, you, or before that, ended any communication
• 31:36
Speaker 1: with Jeffrey Epstein, correct? Bill Clinton, that's correct. Question, around
• 31:41
Speaker 1: the time he got arrested, or right beforehand, and he
• 31:43
Speaker 1: was arrested for child sex prostitution, or hiring girls for sex,
• 31:47
Speaker 1: or one girl for sex, correct? Roughly child sexual exploitation.
• 31:52
Speaker 1: If you were aware in 2008 that Jeffrey Epstein was
• 31:55
Speaker 1: having sex with kids... And you knew of his close
• 31:57
Speaker 1: association with Glenn Maxwell. Why would you still associate with
• 32:02
Speaker 1: Glenn Maxwell, who you dubbed essentially like your Doug Band?
• 32:06
Speaker 1: She was the body man to Epstein. Doug Band was
• 32:08
Speaker 1: the body man to you. And why would you allow
• 32:10
Speaker 1: Glenn Maxwell to associate with your daughter up until, I
• 32:13
Speaker 1: don't know, 2015? You knew he was a bad guy.
• 32:17
Speaker 1: Why would you allow your daughter to? Lawyer jumps in.
• 32:20
Speaker 1: Excuse me? What's the period in which you're saying he
• 32:23
Speaker 1: would have known that Epstein was a bad guy? Mace,
• 32:26
Speaker 1: after 2008. So up until Glenn Maxwell was involved with CGI,
• 32:30
Speaker 1: until what, 2015? Clinton, yeah. Mace. And we confirmed today
• 32:35
Speaker 1: that he had a dinner with Glenn Maxwell in LA
• 32:39
Speaker 1: in 2014. So he's still hanging out with close associates,
• 32:43
Speaker 1: the closest associate to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. I guess
• 32:49
Speaker 1: my question is why? Lawyer. Yes, but question, excuse me,
• 32:52
Speaker 1: is the question why Ghislaine Maxwell came to the wedding?
• 32:55
Speaker 1: Is that the question? Mace, I didn't even bring up
• 32:58
Speaker 1: the wedding. Lawyer, okay, sorry. Nancy Mace, why are you obfuscating?
• 33:03
Speaker 1: Why are you putting words in my mouth? You're smarter
• 33:05
Speaker 1: than that. Bill Clinton, let me finish. I think first
• 33:09
Speaker 1: of all, when the wedding occurred, she was with Ted Wade,
• 33:12
Speaker 1: and she was for several more years. We didn't know
• 33:14
Speaker 1: when Epstein was arrested that she was involved with him.
• 33:17
Speaker 1: I think that clears a lot of things up. We
• 33:19
Speaker 1: didn't know. And I don't want all of you to get,
• 33:22
Speaker 1: we're all getting in a lather here. There's a logical explanation.
• 33:25
Speaker 1: We didn't know. And I'm sorry for what she did
• 33:28
Speaker 1: and for what she allowed her life to become. And
• 33:31
Speaker 1: now she's living with it. Nancy Mace. And I have
• 33:33
Speaker 1: one final short question. I promise I'm done. I was
• 33:37
Speaker 1: severely and heavily duped by an individual in my life
• 33:40
Speaker 1: about two and a half years ago. It's very publicly
• 33:42
Speaker 1: well known. You graduated from Georgetown and Yale, correct? Clinton, yeah. Question,
• 33:48
Speaker 1: how do you think Elaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein duped
• 33:51
Speaker 1: so many powerful and smart people? Fully connected, powerful people
• 33:54
Speaker 1: around the world? Bill Clinton, I really don't know. But
• 33:58
Speaker 1: I don't know. I've thought a lot about it. Speaker, lawyer, Mr. President,
• 34:03
Speaker 1: that's it. Bill Clinton, and if you can figure it out,
• 34:07
Speaker 1: I'd like to know. Nancy Mace, thank you. Mr. President
• 34:11
Speaker 1: and Mr. Chairman, I yield back. All right, we're going
• 34:14
Speaker 1: to wrap up right there. And in the next episode
• 34:16
Speaker 1: dealing with the topic we're going to pick up where
• 34:18
Speaker 1: we left off. All the information that goes with this
• 34:21
Speaker 1: episode can be found in the description box. What's up
• 34:25
Speaker 1: everyone and welcome to another episode of the Epstein Chronicles.
• 34:30
Speaker 1: In this episode we're diving right back in to that
• 34:32
Speaker 1: Bill Clinton transcript from his conversation with Congress. And the
• 34:36
Speaker 1: next person asking questions is Anna Paulina Luna. Question, Mr. President,
• 34:43
Speaker 1: I just wanted to do a couple follow-ups. Regarding your
• 34:45
Speaker 1: personal conversation with Mr. Epstein, you said that he wanted
• 34:49
Speaker 1: to discuss economic and political questions. Was there ever a
• 34:52
Speaker 1: particular region of the world or topics that he wanted
• 34:55
Speaker 1: to address? Answer, I do remember that he was interested
• 34:59
Speaker 1: in two places that I was setting up AIDS work
• 35:01
Speaker 1: in Asia and Africa. And Asia, he wanted to know
• 35:05
Speaker 1: if I thought it was going to be the Asian
• 35:07
Speaker 1: century and the thing would be sustainable. And in that,
• 35:11
Speaker 1: He wanted to know whether I believe that you could
• 35:14
Speaker 1: have inaudible prosperity there, whether they could achieve something that
• 35:18
Speaker 1: they'd never achieved before. Question. It seems that Mr. Epstein
• 35:22
Speaker 1: also had a similar question about America's prosperity and economic policy.
• 35:27
Speaker 1: Did you feel that when he was asking questions, particularly
• 35:30
Speaker 1: maybe pertaining to the regulation of our stock market and
• 35:34
Speaker 1: derivative trading, did he on a number of occasions come
• 35:37
Speaker 1: back to that and maybe pick your brain? about policy
• 35:40
Speaker 1: or future policy here in the United States. Clinton, no
• 35:45
Speaker 1: more than any other big issue. I mean, everybody lives
• 35:47
Speaker 1: in New York with money, and he made his money
• 35:49
Speaker 1: advising Les Wexner, so he had to be interested in
• 35:52
Speaker 1: the markets. Anna Luna, and then I know that Ghislaine
• 35:56
Speaker 1: Maxwell was a little bit more probably chatty with you.
• 36:00
Speaker 1: Did she ever share a similar interest to Mr. Epstein
• 36:02
Speaker 1: on economics or political topics of discussion? Were there any
• 36:06
Speaker 1: reoccurring topics? that you felt she was wanting to focus on? Answer,
• 36:12
Speaker 1: not that I noticed. Question, all right. Thank you, Mr. President.
• 36:17
Speaker 1: Now Jack Emmer is doing the questioning again. Thank you, Mr. President.
• 36:21
Speaker 1: We've covered a lot of topics today, and I'm going
• 36:23
Speaker 1: to walk through some of those topics that we've already covered.
• 36:25
Speaker 1: Just ask some questions for clarification. Clinton, okay. Question, first,
• 36:31
Speaker 1: during your relationship or the time that you knew Mr. Epstein,
• 36:35
Speaker 1: what did you understand his job to be? Answer, I'm
• 36:38
Speaker 1: not sure that I knew. It was never clear to me,
• 36:40
Speaker 1: but he could have been living on investing the profits
• 36:43
Speaker 1: he'd already made. I knew he was a finance guy. Question,
• 36:47
Speaker 1: and you just testified that Les Wexner being one of
• 36:49
Speaker 1: his clients, did he ever make any other representations about
• 36:52
Speaker 1: who his clients were? Answer, no, but I never asked either. Question,
• 36:57
Speaker 1: during the time that you knew him, did Epstein ever
• 36:59
Speaker 1: provide you with financial advice? Answer, no. Question, did he
• 37:04
Speaker 1: ever provide you with tax advice? Answer, no. Question, did
• 37:07
Speaker 1: he ever personally receive money from Mr. Epstein? Answer, no. Question,
• 37:12
Speaker 1: did Mr. Epstein ever loan you money in your personal capacity? Answer,
• 37:18
Speaker 1: not to my knowledge. Question, so to be clear, did
• 37:21
Speaker 1: you ever exchange money with Mr. Epstein? Answer, not that
• 37:25
  Speaker 1: I remember. I don't believe I did. Question, and throughout
• 37:29
Speaker 1: today's questioning, we've talked about the various properties that Mr.
• 37:32
Speaker 1: Epstein owned. You testified that you visited the Manhattan townhouse,
• 37:36
Speaker 1: is that right? Answer, yeah, I went there once. Question,
• 37:40
Speaker 1: and just for clarification, it's been reported that we've seen
• 37:44
Speaker 1: from the files from the DOJ that Mr. Epstein decorated
• 37:47
Speaker 1: his home with creepy and disturbing artwork. Did you notice
• 37:50
Speaker 1: anything unusual as far as his decor at his presence? Answer,
• 37:56
Speaker 1: keep in mind, I was only on the first floor,
• 37:58
Speaker 1: ground floor, and I didn't see anything like that there
• 38:01
Speaker 1: in any of the rooms that I saw. Question, it's
• 38:04
Speaker 1: been reported that Mr. Epstein had cameras on his premises.
• 38:08
Speaker 1: Did you notice anything? Any cameras at the Manhattan townhouse? Answer,
• 38:13
Speaker 1: I didn't, but there may have been, and that may
• 38:15
Speaker 1: have been the whole point. Question, Mr. Epstein apparently rented
• 38:19
Speaker 1: a property in Boston at one point. Did you ever
• 38:21
Speaker 1: visit that property? Answer, no. Question, did you ever visit Mr.
• 38:25
Speaker 1: Epstein's apartment in Paris? Answer, no. Question, did Mr. Epstein
• 38:30
Speaker 1: or Ms. Maxwell ever invite you to his property in Paris? Answer, no. Question,
• 38:35
Speaker 1: did Mr. Epstein ever invite you to his home in
• 38:38
Speaker 1: Palm Beach? Answer, no. Question, were you ever invited by
• 38:42
Speaker 1: Epstein or Maxwell to visit the Palm Beach property? Answer,
• 38:46
Speaker 1: I don't think so. Question, did you ever visit Glenn
• 38:49
Speaker 1: Maxwell's New York townhouse? Answer, no. I don't even know
• 38:53
Speaker 1: that I knew she had a townhouse. I knew about that.
• 38:56
Speaker 1: The only thing that he ever said to anything to
• 38:59
Speaker 1: me about Jeffrey was the New Mexico ranch. I never
• 39:02
Speaker 1: went there. Okay, sure you didn't, Bill. Question, did he
• 39:06
Speaker 1: invite you to the New Mexico ranch? Answer, sort of.
• 39:10
Speaker 1: I mean, he was a little, you know, but I
• 39:12
Speaker 1: didn't go. By then, I didn't go. Question, was there
• 39:15
  Speaker 1: a reason? Answer, I don't remember, but I think as
• 39:19
Speaker 1: we got closer to the end that he said something
• 39:21
Speaker 1: about it. Question, Mr. President, in 2005, police in Palm Beach,
• 39:26
Speaker 1: Florida began investigating Epstein. In July of 2005, was arrested
• 39:31
Speaker 1: for the first time for soliciting prostitution for minors. For
• 39:35
Speaker 1: the record, prior to Mr. Epstein's arrest, were you aware
• 39:39
Speaker 1: of any investigation into Mr. Epstein? Answer, no. On October
• 39:45
Speaker 1: 20th of 2005, police executed a search warrant for Mr.
• 39:50
Speaker 1: Epstein's Palm Beach, Florida home. Palm Beach detective Joseph Ricari
• 39:56
Speaker 1: spoke out about his belief that Epstein was tipped off
• 39:58
Speaker 1: about the raid since multiple computers expected to be at
• 40:02
Speaker 1: the house were missing when the search warrant was executed.
• 40:05
Speaker 1: To your knowledge, was Mr. Epstein tipped off about the
• 40:08
Speaker 1: October 20th search warrant in Palm Beach? Lawyer jumps in,
• 40:13
  Speaker 1: he's asking to your knowledge. Answer, I don't know, I
• 40:15
Speaker 1: don't know. It's the first I heard of it. Question,
• 40:18
Speaker 1: they're only asking for your knowledge, Mr. President. Jack Emmer, Mr. President,
• 40:23
Speaker 1: did you ever make any kind of attempt to influence
• 40:25
Speaker 1: the media's coverage of Jeffrey Epstein? Answer, no. Question, at
• 40:30
Speaker 1: this time, I'd like to introduce what we've marked as
• 40:32
Speaker 1: Majority Exhibit 23. And this is Bates' number, EFTA 02792895.
• 40:41
Speaker 1: One page. Bill Clinton, I don't even know who that is.
• 40:46
Speaker 1: Jack Emmer, This is an email from Virginia Roberts, an
• 40:49
Speaker 1: Epstein victim, that alleged that you walked into Vanity Fair
• 40:52
Speaker 1: and threatened them not to write sex trafficking articles about
• 40:55
Speaker 1: your good friend, Jeffrey Epstein. Mr. President, is this true?
• 40:59
Speaker 1: Bill Clinton, no, no. Not no, hell no. Not close, no.
• 41:04
Speaker 1: So he's calling Virginia a liar. Cool, got it. Question,
• 41:08
Speaker 1: why do you think Ms. Roberts would make up these claims?
• 41:11
Speaker 1: Lawyer jumps in. Are you asking him to have an
• 41:13
Speaker 1: opinion about Ms. Roberts' point of mind? Can we not
• 41:16
Speaker 1: do that? Ask him about the facts that he knows,
• 41:19
Speaker 1: as opposed to asking about the facts in other people's minds. Question, Mr. President,
• 41:25
Speaker 1: have you ever asked any other publication to shut down
• 41:27
Speaker 1: a story related to Mr. Epstein? Bill Clinton, no. Question,
• 41:31
Speaker 1: by the lawyer, and by any publication counsel, he answered
• 41:34
Speaker 1: the question about Vanity Fair, correct? M or yes? Bill Clinton,
• 41:38
Speaker 1: I absolutely did not. Question, Mr. President, did you ever
• 41:43
Speaker 1: advocate or suggest leniency? In Epstein's case, any government officials,
• 41:48
Speaker 1: including those in the Justice Department or the Florida State
• 41:51
Speaker 1: Attorney's Office? Clinton, no. Question. On June 30th of 2008,
• 41:57
Speaker 1: Epstein pleaded guilty in Palm Beach County, Florida State Court
• 42:02
Speaker 1: to two felony charges, one count of solicitation of prostitution,
• 42:06
Speaker 1: and one count of procurement of a person under 18
• 42:09
Speaker 1: for prostitution. He was subsequently sentenced to 18 months in
• 42:14
Speaker 1: Florida County Jail. and began serving his sentence on June
• 42:17
Speaker 1: 30th of 2008. To be clear, you have not had
• 42:21
Speaker 1: any direct contact with Epstein after his 2006 arrest. Is
• 42:24
Speaker 1: that right? Answer, that's correct. Question, after his arrest or
• 42:30
Speaker 1: after the publication of when he went to jail in 2008,
• 42:34
Speaker 1: can you just clarify the dates there? Jack Emmer, I'll
• 42:38
Speaker 1: ask another question. To be clear, you have not had
• 42:41
Speaker 1: any direct contact with Epstein after his arrest. when he
• 42:44
Speaker 1: was incarcerated in 2008. Clinton, yes, to the best of
• 42:48
Speaker 1: my memory, that's correct. Question, are you aware of any
• 42:52
Speaker 1: effort by Epstein to contact you while he was incarcerated
• 42:56
Speaker 1: in Florida? Answer, I'm not. Question, Mr. President, who is
• 43:01
Speaker 1: Arnold Paul Prosperi? Answer, I think that he's the son
• 43:06
Speaker 1: of a guy I went to Georgetown with named Paul Prosperi.
• 43:09
Speaker 1: I think that's right. And I saw in all these
• 43:11
Speaker 1: things that my staff gave me that he was mentioned.
• 43:14
Speaker 1: but I don't think anybody said anything to me. I
• 43:16
Speaker 1: have no memory of that. Question, so it's your testimony
• 43:19
Speaker 1: today that he, and actually, let me back up here.
• 43:23
Speaker 1: According to jail logs, Mr. Prosperi visited Epstein at least
• 43:27
Speaker 1: 20 times while Epstein was incarcerated in Palm Beach County
• 43:31
Speaker 1: Jail between 2008 and 2009. Based on what you just said,
• 43:36
Speaker 1: is it your testimony that you believed that to be
• 43:38
Speaker 1: the son of the man you went to college with? Answer,
• 43:42
Speaker 1: it could be. But he didn't talk to me. Question.
• 43:46
Speaker 1: Thank you, Mr. President. Last week, Les Wexner testified that
• 43:49
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein often name-dropped powerful people to give himself an
• 43:52
Speaker 1: air of credibility. Did he ever do that to you?
• 43:56
Speaker 1: Brag about people he knew in high places? Kings and princes?
• 43:59
Speaker 1: Bill Clinton? Yeah, he did a little bit. Question. Going
• 44:03
Speaker 1: back to what was mentioned earlier about the search warrant
• 44:06
Speaker 1: on October 20th in Palm Beach for Jeffrey Epstein. Ms.
• 44:10
Speaker 1: Clinton testified yesterday. I think she mentioned that it appears
• 44:14
Speaker 1: he got a sweetheart plea deal. And I don't think
• 44:16
Speaker 1: anyone on this committee would disagree with that when Alex
• 44:19
Speaker 1: Acosta was the U.S. attorney down there. And we've already
• 44:23
Speaker 1: deposed Mr. Acosta. And we've got the transcripts and everything.
• 44:26
Speaker 1: There's a lot of speculation, as had been mentioned, that
• 44:29
Speaker 1: he may have been tipped off prior to the search
• 44:31
Speaker 1: warrant that Jeffrey Epstein may have been tipped off. Are
• 44:35
Speaker 1: you aware of whether or not Sandy Berger may have
• 44:38
Speaker 1: tipped off Jeffrey Epstein? Lawyer jumps in. The president just
• 44:42
Speaker 1: testified that he was unaware that anybody had been tipped off.
• 44:46
Speaker 1: So if you're asking him to, Bill Clinton jumps in.
• 44:49
Speaker 1: This explains why I asked yesterday about him. But no,
• 44:52
Speaker 1: I know nothing about that, and I wouldn't. Question, and Mr.
• 44:56
Speaker 1: Epstein was indicted by a grand jury on July 19, 2006.
• 45:00
Speaker 1: According to an IRS form, 990, filed by the COUQ Foundation,
• 45:05
Speaker 1: a known Epstein entity, Mr. Epstein donated $ 25, 000 to the
• 45:10
Speaker 1: William J. Clinton Foundation one day prior to Mr. Epstein's indictment.
• 45:15
Speaker 1: Are you aware of this donation? Answer, I know that
• 45:18
Speaker 1: they told me that the record showed that he'd given $ 25, 000. Question,
• 45:22
Speaker 1: when did you become aware of that, Mr. President? Were
• 45:25
Speaker 1: you aware of that then or in preparation? Answer, no, no,
• 45:29
Speaker 1: I mean when I was preparing for this. Question, yes, sir,
• 45:32
Speaker 1: did you solicit that donation from Mr. Epstein? Answer, not personally,
• 45:37
Speaker 1: I didn't know. Question, did someone else solicit it? Answer,
• 45:40
Speaker 1: I have no idea. Question, do you even know why Mr.
• 45:43
Speaker 1: Epstein made that donation? Lawyer jumps in. He's asking you
• 45:47
Speaker 1: to speculate about what Mr. Epstein would be thinking. Clinton,
• 45:51
Speaker 1: we're trying to raise a fair amount of money every
• 45:53
Speaker 1: year to pay the bills. Question, it seems to me
• 45:56
Speaker 1: his investigators were narrowing in on Mr. Epstein. He may
• 46:01
Speaker 1: have been trying to earn some goodwill with you. What
• 46:03
Speaker 1: do you think about that? Bill Clinton, it wouldn't work.
• 46:06
Speaker 1: Question right. Did it ever seem to you that Jeffrey
• 46:08
Speaker 1: Epstein was trying to suck up to you? Or get
• 46:11
Speaker 1: on your good side in order to further his schemes? Answer. No,
• 46:15
Speaker 1: I didn't think about it that way. I thought he
• 46:17
Speaker 1: wanted to do what he said. Question. After his arrest
• 46:21
Speaker 1: in 2006, did you have any further contact with Mr. Epstein? Answer.
• 46:25
Speaker 1: I don't believe I did. No. Question. Did anyone affiliated
• 46:28
Speaker 1: with Epstein, including Maxwell, contact you on behalf of Jeffrey
• 46:32
Speaker 1: Epstein to discuss his arrest and the allegations against him? Clinton, no. Question,
• 46:38
Speaker 1: did they ever ask, either Jeffrey Epstein or Ms. Maxwell,
• 46:41
Speaker 1: ever ask you for their assistance once Epstein was in trouble? Answer, no. Question,
• 46:46
Speaker 1: or once Ms. Maxwell was in trouble? Answer, no. Question,
• 46:50
Speaker 1: did Jeffrey Epstein ever attempt to contact you while he
• 46:53
Speaker 1: was incarcerated in Florida? Answer, no. Question, he didn't ever
• 46:57
Speaker 1: attempt to contact you? Bill Clinton, not as far as
• 46:59
Speaker 1: I know. Question, yesterday during the deposition of Secretary Clinton,
• 47:04
Speaker 1: She suggested that we follow the money with Epstein, because
• 47:07
Speaker 1: there's a big question, how did he accumulate so much wealth?
• 47:10
Speaker 1: And I think you had testified earlier, and if I'm wrong,
• 47:13
Speaker 1: feel free to correct me, that you didn't really know
• 47:15
Speaker 1: how he made his money. I mean, he had a
• 47:17
Speaker 1: big plane. Clinton, I knew that he had made an
• 47:20
Speaker 1: extraordinary amount of money from Les Wexner, who was quite wealthy.
• 47:23
Speaker 1: I had no idea whether he had made enough to
• 47:26
Speaker 1: support the lifestyle that I saw. Question, and I assume
• 47:29
Speaker 1: that you were aware that Mr. Wexner testified under oath.
• 47:32
Speaker 1: that he acted like he really didn't know Jeffrey Epstein
• 47:35
Speaker 1: very well, which is kind of hard to believe, because
• 47:37
Speaker 1: he paid him a lot of money. Clinton, yeah, he
• 47:41
Speaker 1: made him. But you never know. Question, yeah, well, one
• 47:45
Speaker 1: of the things, when we concluded the deposition yesterday, we
• 47:49
Speaker 1: asked Secretary Clinton for her advice moving forward in the investigation.
• 47:53
Speaker 1: And with respect to a statement that she made yesterday,
• 47:56
Speaker 1: and was something that we've done on the committee, the
• 47:59
Speaker 1: majority has done on the committee in the past, we've
• 48:01
Speaker 1: followed the money. We've subpoenaed bank records. We've subpoenaed suspicious
• 48:05
Speaker 1: activity reports from Treasury. Those were some of the things Ms.
• 48:09
Speaker 1: Clinton suggested. And in order to do that, obviously, we
• 48:12
Speaker 1: have to subpoena banks, specific banks for specific accounts. Do
• 48:17
Speaker 1: you ever recall in the conversations you had with Mr. Epstein,
• 48:20
Speaker 1: any particular bank that he was affiliated with or any
• 48:23
Speaker 1: particular big banks that maybe he had deals with? Answer, no,
• 48:27
Speaker 1: he never asked me. Question, okay. Jack Emmer, with that,
• 48:31

• 48:38
Speaker 1: I just wanted to clarify one thing from the previous round.
• 48:41
Speaker 1: Our understanding of your testimony today is that with respect
• 48:44
Speaker 1: to the dinner with Ms. Maxwell in Los Angeles, you
• 48:47
Speaker 1: are not actually sure whether or not that dinner occurred. Clinton,
• 48:50

• 48:55

• 48:58
Speaker 1: that you would like to add or clarify about what
• 49:00
Speaker 1: you've said here today? Lawyer, you're good. Bill Clinton, what? Lawyer,
• 49:04
  Speaker 1: you're good. Clinton, I think we're fine. I'm struggling because
• 49:08
Speaker 1: it's hard to know exactly what I knew when I
• 49:10
Speaker 1: knew it, given what I've learned since. It's become kind
• 49:14
Speaker 1: of a compelling challenge, but I've tried to tell you
• 49:16
Speaker 1: what I knew then. And when you ask what I
• 49:19
Speaker 1: think I knew, think I know I think you have
• 49:22
Speaker 1: all of you Mr. Chairman you've had to chronologically challenging
• 49:26
Speaker 1: this thing you've got all this stuff that happened with
• 49:29
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein some of it as regards to President Trump
• 49:32
Speaker 1: going back to the late 90s and that's a long
• 49:35
Speaker 1: time ago and then what we learn later it's been
• 49:37
Speaker 1: difficult But I have enjoyed it. You've been very respectful
• 49:41
Speaker 1: to me and have given me a chance to talk
• 49:43
Speaker 1: to you. Question. Well, thank you for your time, Clinton.
• 49:47
Speaker 1: And I wish you well. I still will say, if
• 49:50
Speaker 1: you can think of some things to do to reduce
• 49:52
Speaker 1: the incidence of trafficking in America, and it should be
• 49:55
Speaker 1: possible for us to virtually eliminate underage abuse, it should be.
• 49:59
Speaker 1: We just got to figure out what kind of technology
• 50:01
Speaker 1: we need and what kind of policies. Thank you. Question.
• 50:06
Speaker 1: And the answers that you provided today are the best
• 50:09
Speaker 1: to your recollection, is that correct? Bill Clinton, yeah, the
• 50:12
Speaker 1: answers I provided today are what I believe at the
• 50:14
Speaker 1: time and what I think was in my heart, including
• 50:17
Speaker 1: about previous testimony. Speaker, great, thank you. Unless there's anything
• 50:25
Speaker 1: else you would like to share, we can go off
• 50:27
Speaker 1: the record. All right, folks, that's going to do it
• 50:29
