- 0:17Speaker 2: Fox Sports Radio.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Taylor told me to push the phone number because we
- 0:22Speaker 1: haven't taken a call in months.
- 0:25Speaker 3: Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox.
- 0:27Speaker 4: What is Alan Albuquerque doing with himself?
- 0:31Speaker 1: Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox? This is me
- 0:34Speaker 1: pushing the phone number. Eight seven seven ninety nine.
- 0:38Speaker 4: On Fox.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Mikey A on the Zoom tailor in the VIP room
- 0:41Speaker 1: along with Bored Opercardo. He has to be so confused sometimes,
- 0:44Speaker 1: Bored Opercardo. Is he in studio with me? Just about everything?
- 0:47Speaker 4: All of it.
- 0:48Speaker 3: Yes, we have Seth Davis is going to join us
- 0:51Speaker 3: at three thirty.
- 0:53Speaker 1: We have Juju Smith Schuster going to join us at
- 0:55Speaker 1: four point thirty. We have no more undefeated teams left
- 1:00Speaker 1: in Major League Baseball. We will get to the sound
- 1:03Speaker 1: of Mike Francessa here in just a second. We have
- 1:06Speaker 1: some Tiger Woods news to get to as well. But Izzy,
- 1:10Speaker 1: I kept asking. I kept asking our executive producer, our
- 1:14Speaker 1: fearless leader, Taylor, what do you want to talk about today?
- 1:20Speaker 1: And the response I kept getting from Taylor was I
- 1:24Speaker 1: had a take on social media that went viral.
- 1:29Speaker 4: I feel like that word is getting used a little
- 1:31Speaker 4: loosely these days. What does it mean to go viral?
- 1:34Speaker 4: Your take to go viral?
- 1:35Speaker 5: Taylor?
- 1:36Speaker 6: So, right now it has two hundred and twenty six
- 1:39Speaker 6: thousand views on Twitter, Viral and Izzy. It was because
- 1:44Speaker 6: I was tweeting about the Tommy Lloyd to Carolina. Potentially
- 1:49Speaker 6: that market has been impacted by Calshi. People are saying
- 1:53Speaker 6: it's Billy Donovan, but it's people that work for Calshi,
- 1:56Speaker 6: and they're most likely just going to dump that and
- 1:59Speaker 6: try to make a quick problem off that. So I
- 2:02Speaker 6: tweeted because I'm clicking on some people's profile and it's
- 2:05Speaker 6: like Carolina basketball Alabama football, and I tweeted, if your
- 2:11Speaker 6: favorite college football team is different from your favorite college
- 2:14Speaker 6: basketball team, nobody respects you.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Oh man, what a take is it?
- 2:20Speaker 4: I mean, it's incredible.
- 2:22Speaker 7: Yes, I've never really thought about this, Like I guess,
- 2:25Speaker 7: it wasn't until I got to college that I had
- 2:28Speaker 7: an official favorite college basketball team, because when I was
- 2:31Speaker 7: growing up, before I got to University of Florida, it
- 2:33Speaker 7: was Duke and North Carolina, not necessarily not that or
- 2:36Speaker 7: I think I was a North Carolina fan first and
- 2:38Speaker 7: then I became a little bit of a Duke fan.
- 2:39Speaker 7: But then when I got to Florida, it was just
- 2:41Speaker 7: all Florida, and it was obviously Florida football too, right,
- 2:44Speaker 7: But you can't have one and then the other, especially
- 2:47Speaker 7: if you went to one of the schools and then have.
- 2:49Speaker 4: A favorite program or favorite sport from another.
- 2:52Speaker 8: Progress.
- 2:52Speaker 1: So you grew up down here in Miami, did you
- 2:54Speaker 1: root for the Hurricanes as your football team growing up?
- 2:57Speaker 1: I did, and you ruledge football team h and you
- 2:59Speaker 1: rooted it. In terms of basketball, it was Carolina and Duke. Okay,
- 3:02Speaker 1: So can we put a little caveat or a little
- 3:04Speaker 1: detail in there? Sure under eighteen doesn't count. There should
- 3:09Speaker 1: be caveats and there should be details here because I
- 3:11Speaker 1: agree with you, like you didn't have a team to
- 3:13Speaker 1: root for, and Miami growing up was the best team
- 3:16Speaker 1: in college football.
- 3:17Speaker 7: And they didn't have a college basketball team really to
- 3:19Speaker 7: speak up. So if they would have, probably would have
- 3:21Speaker 7: paired them.
- 3:22Speaker 4: So you go to Florida.
- 3:23Speaker 1: Is there any part of you still rooting for the
- 3:25Speaker 1: University of Miami or Carolina or Duke.
- 3:28Speaker 7: The second I walked on that campus, all favoritism I
- 3:31Speaker 7: had toward UM disappeared.
- 3:33Speaker 6: Okay, much like Izzy, I grew up both a USC
- 3:37Speaker 6: football fan and a UNC basketball fan.
- 3:40Speaker 9: Then I turned ten.
- 3:41Speaker 8: Yeah, you gotta make a.
- 3:42Speaker 4: Choice at some point.
- 3:46Speaker 7: You know, that's probably about the time, because yeah, I
- 3:49Speaker 7: would say my fifteen sixteen years old like, I was
- 3:52Speaker 7: a UM basketball fan, but I definitely still had a split.
- 3:55Speaker 7: I'm sorry, un football fan, but I definitely had a
- 3:57Speaker 7: split with basketball. But I wasn't like a diehard. If
- 4:00Speaker 7: there was social media back then, I wouldn't say M's
- 4:03Speaker 7: my football team and Carolina's my basketball team.
- 4:05Speaker 4: I would just mention the football team. Uh so, help me.
- 4:08Speaker 1: At least you weren't front running rooting for those two teams,
- 4:10Speaker 1: Carolina and Duke.
- 4:11Speaker 3: I mean, but help me out here.
- 4:13Speaker 4: So once you get what kid is going to go
- 4:15Speaker 4: for a bunch of losers, you're.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Right, Well me and Mikey there you go, and that's
- 4:20Speaker 1: about it, and all Jet fans, But help me out here.
- 4:23Speaker 1: So you're a UM fan, they give you some great
- 4:26Speaker 1: moments growing up. Do you blame a kid if he's
- 4:29Speaker 1: from Miami goes to the University of Florida and still
- 4:32Speaker 1: is a Miami Hurricane football fan.
- 4:34Speaker 7: I mean, like you Donnis Haslem, for example, No, famously
- 4:37Speaker 7: went to the University of Florida and remained the University
- 4:40Speaker 7: of Miami fan.
- 4:41Speaker 4: No, I don't.
- 4:42Speaker 7: I don't hate that because, frankly, I mean he went
- 4:45Speaker 7: there to do a job. He went there to get
- 4:46Speaker 7: himself ready for the NBA. For me, yeah, no, I
- 4:49Speaker 7: don't blame people. I mean, your home is your home.
- 4:51Speaker 7: If that you know stays truer to who you are,
- 4:55Speaker 7: then yeah, you can keep cheering.
- 4:56Speaker 3: For I see the wheels turning there, mikey A. What
- 4:58Speaker 3: are you thinking.
- 4:59Speaker 10: I'm just trying to think if I agree with it
- 5:01Speaker 10: or not, because I don't know that I have that.
- 5:05Speaker 10: I think I'm a fan of a different college basketball
- 5:07Speaker 10: team than I am a different nobody respects me fall team.
- 5:09Speaker 4: Yeah, but so here's the difference. I want that he
- 5:11Speaker 4: respects me anyway. Right, I went to Clark University.
- 5:13Speaker 1: It's a D three school, Like, there's no reason to
- 5:16Speaker 1: root for either of their teams, And so you guys
- 5:19Speaker 1: are saying, when I'm at Clark University, I can't root
- 5:21Speaker 1: for the University of Miami football program and the Carolina
- 5:24Speaker 1: basketball program.
- 5:26Speaker 4: Taylor has to.
- 5:26Speaker 9: Rule here, well correctly, that is correct?
- 5:29Speaker 11: What do you mean that is correct? That almost went
- 5:31Speaker 11: to North Carolina. So nobody is blaming you for going
- 5:34Speaker 11: to Clark University. If you want to go to Clark
- 5:37Speaker 11: University and get your degree, fine. If you're a Duke
- 5:40Speaker 11: basketball fan, fine, The problem is in the fall. You
- 5:43Speaker 11: can't turn around and be like, I'm a Texas longhorned
- 5:46Speaker 11: football fan.
- 5:47Speaker 9: You're a Duke football fan?
- 5:48Speaker 6: Why though, Well get rid of many daz football buddy.
- 5:54Speaker 7: I think it's true you can't claim another team like
- 5:58Speaker 7: I'm not going to put North Carolina basketball on my
- 6:01Speaker 7: Twitter bio.
- 6:02Speaker 4: But if I'm just watching a game, who am I
- 6:05Speaker 4: pulling for?
- 6:05Speaker 12: You?
- 6:05Speaker 4: I can pull for North Carolina, but they're not quote
- 6:07Speaker 4: my team?
- 6:08Speaker 9: Right?
- 6:09Speaker 4: Is that fair? Taylor?
- 6:10Speaker 9: Yeah?
- 6:10Speaker 4: I don't know fair. I mean this is why I
- 6:12Speaker 4: went viral. Honey.
- 6:15Speaker 10: What if my fandom was born out of hatred for arrival?
- 6:20Speaker 10: What if I just hate Ohio State football and I
- 6:23Speaker 10: just hate Duke basketball.
- 6:25Speaker 6: You could hate those schools. I just don't think you're
- 6:28Speaker 6: a fan of BO teams.
- 6:30Speaker 1: What Taylor is saying is there's no limit limit to
- 6:33Speaker 1: your hatred, correct, But there is a limit to the
- 6:36Speaker 1: teams that you root for, That's all he said.
- 6:38Speaker 10: But if I naturally hate Duke, then I naturally root
- 6:41Speaker 10: for North Carolina.
- 6:43Speaker 6: Because anybody root for Carolina, you're not a Carolina.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Fan though, well, I mean, unless you're rooting for Carolina
- 6:51Speaker 1: football as well.
- 6:52Speaker 4: I don't.
- 6:52Speaker 1: I'm confused here because I grew up in an area
- 6:54Speaker 1: where college sports wasn't that big.
- 6:56Speaker 4: It just wasn't. I grew up in Long Island.
- 6:58Speaker 1: They didn't have Saint John's was good back in the eighties, right,
- 7:01Speaker 1: and we didn't have.
- 7:02Speaker 4: A football team.
- 7:02Speaker 7: So you don't claim a college football program and a
- 7:05Speaker 7: college basketball program as your teams.
- 7:08Speaker 3: It just is what it is.
- 7:09Speaker 4: You don't do either. That doesn't seem fair.
- 7:10Speaker 1: I mean, not that we're keeping you from doing it,
- 7:13Speaker 1: but you haven't done it right, Well, no, I mean no,
- 7:16Speaker 1: technically I have not, so you remain respected.
- 7:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:19Speaker 6: The conundrum that I'm running into right now is the
- 7:22Speaker 6: people that are saying, what if I root for a
- 7:26Speaker 6: basketball school that doesn't have a football team, and they
- 7:31Speaker 6: kind of checkmate in me there, because I don't really
- 7:33Speaker 6: have that good of an answer. If you're saying a
- 7:35Speaker 6: Gonzaga basketball fan or DePaul basketball fan, and those schools
- 7:40Speaker 6: don't have a football team, yes, yes, stick to the pros.
- 7:43Speaker 6: It's called a loophole. Yes, stick to the pros.
- 7:46Speaker 7: You don't have to have a college football team, just,
- 7:48Speaker 7: you know, just whatever team tickles your fancy in any
- 7:51Speaker 7: given time. It actually gives you the chance to be
- 7:52Speaker 7: a fair weather fan. But again, you can't claim them
- 7:55Speaker 7: as your team. You can just enjoy them quietly.
- 7:59Speaker 10: Is this better or worse than those who are a
- 8:02Speaker 10: fan of one city's football team in the pros and
- 8:06Speaker 10: a different cities basketball, Especially so in Connecticut, I run
- 8:10Speaker 10: into this a lot. There are people who are Giants
- 8:12Speaker 10: fans and Celtics fans. You can't be New York and
- 8:15Speaker 10: Boston fans. Ye't be those two things. They naturally hate
- 8:18Speaker 10: each other.
- 8:19Speaker 3: But that's split in half.
- 8:20Speaker 13: Right.
- 8:20Speaker 1: If you're in southern Connecticut, chances are you're rooting for
- 8:23Speaker 1: the Knicks.
- 8:23Speaker 3: Northern Connecticut you're rooting for Boston.
- 8:25Speaker 4: Right.
- 8:27Speaker 10: That's like saying all Long Islanders are either Mets or
- 8:30Speaker 10: Jets and Giants and Yankees.
- 8:32Speaker 8: It doesn't really fit.
- 8:33Speaker 7: I think it depends on how you are raised as
- 8:35Speaker 7: a prof you're properly raised to not be a hater,
- 8:38Speaker 7: then you should be the fan of where you grew up.
- 8:40Speaker 7: Like if you were properly raised not to be a
- 8:42Speaker 7: hate because that's what a lot of these young kids
- 8:45Speaker 7: these days, even like like my nephew of mine or whatever,
- 8:48Speaker 7: he hates m he grew up around um um was
- 8:51Speaker 7: wildly successful while he was growing up, just hates them
- 8:54Speaker 7: just because that's.
- 8:56Speaker 1: A team to hate. Man, that's a team you should
- 8:58Speaker 1: have gotten behind them.
- 9:00Speaker 4: Yeah, tell it.
- 9:01Speaker 9: Pro sports.
- 9:02Speaker 6: Mikey is a lot trickier, and it's just waters I'm
- 9:05Speaker 6: not prepared to wade into right now with my takes.
- 9:09Speaker 6: So that's why I kind of planted my flag as
- 9:11Speaker 6: the college guy right where. I have Yukon fans who
- 9:14Speaker 6: are trying to celebrate their Final four and being like,
- 9:17Speaker 6: what do you mean I can't root for Michigan football
- 9:20Speaker 6: in the fall? I'm like, Nope, sorry, man, you're your
- 9:22Speaker 6: best football player at your school then Orlovsky.
- 9:27Speaker 7: Especially if they went to Yukon, Like I don't care
- 9:30Speaker 7: if Yukon has a poor football program. If you went
- 9:33Speaker 7: to Yukon, you cannot claim Ohio State. It's just not possible.
- 9:36Speaker 10: I mean, that's that's I mean, if you went to
- 9:39Speaker 10: a school that has D one programs, like all bets
- 9:42Speaker 10: are off you, you have to be a fan of
- 9:44Speaker 10: that school. I'm talking like for Stu Gots for me
- 9:47Speaker 10: who went to schools that don't really have programs.
- 9:50Speaker 4: Like what's the nearest, the nearest big program to your
- 9:52Speaker 4: respective schools?
- 9:53Speaker 1: Clark University, I don't know, probably Holy Cross.
- 9:56Speaker 4: It's a big just because it has holy and the title.
- 10:00Speaker 1: A BC Syracuse.
- 10:02Speaker 4: I mean, all right, you should have been a Syracuse fan.
- 10:04Speaker 12: No.
- 10:04Speaker 4: I was a Saint John's fan growing up.
- 10:06Speaker 3: I mean that's not bad.
- 10:08Speaker 8: But John DoD St John's have football.
- 10:11Speaker 4: No.
- 10:11Speaker 1: And then I went to Clark University and I played
- 10:14Speaker 1: lacrosse there and they barely had a lacrosse team.
- 10:16Speaker 4: I mean, for me it was Rutgers.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Dan Bayer that you're a perfect person to ask here.
- 10:24Speaker 1: You went to Wisconsin, you love Ohio State. I am told,
- 10:27Speaker 1: how do you feel about Taylor's viral take?
- 10:30Speaker 14: I'll tell you touchy, you know, Mikey hitting where it hurts.
- 10:34Speaker 14: But I feel it's the longevity of it. So I like,
- 10:38Speaker 14: I grew up in the state of Wisconsin, but I've
- 10:41Speaker 14: I've been an Ohio State fan since the mid nineteen eighties,
- 10:44Speaker 14: Keith Byer's, Jim Carsados, those guys, And so if you're
- 10:48Speaker 14: there long enough as a as a kid or whatever,
- 10:51Speaker 14: I have no problem with as long as you have
- 10:54Speaker 14: the longevity of it. I don't like the jumping ship
- 10:57Speaker 14: of I liked this team for this time, then I
- 10:59Speaker 14: like that team now are like this team.
- 11:01Speaker 7: So if you have a long year, just didn't properly
- 11:03Speaker 7: raised in Wisconsin because they allowed you to be Ohio State.
- 11:06Speaker 1: And I'm also wondering what Dan would do when Wisconsin
- 11:10Speaker 1: played Ohio State and football.
- 11:12Speaker 4: Did you want to fit in or did you fit out?
- 11:13Speaker 4: Like I went.
- 11:15Speaker 14: I went to two football games the entire time I
- 11:18Speaker 14: was there. One of them was the Ohio State game,
- 11:21Speaker 14: so I would because there would be some conflicts at times.
- 11:24Speaker 14: When I was in junior in high school in nineteen
- 11:26Speaker 14: ninety three, all of my friends became Badger fans because
- 11:29Speaker 14: all of a sudden, Wisconsin was good. Barry Elvaz turned
- 11:31Speaker 14: this team around Ohio State head and been to a
- 11:34Speaker 14: Rose Bowl in eight or nine years and they were
- 11:36Speaker 14: both battling for it, and then Wisconsin ended up going,
- 11:39Speaker 14: which absolutely crushed me, which made me say, well, I'm
- 11:41Speaker 14: never going to cheer for them, even if I go
- 11:42Speaker 14: to school there, which was a lot cheaper, by the way,
- 11:44Speaker 14: and it's a good school. So I just kept who
- 11:47Speaker 14: I was.
- 11:47Speaker 4: Was yes, all right.
- 11:48Speaker 6: The only follow up question I have Dan, Yeah, so
- 11:51Speaker 6: you root for Ohio State basketball and Ohio State football?
- 11:54Speaker 12: Yeah?
- 11:55Speaker 4: I watched both.
- 11:55Speaker 6: Yes, yea, then absolutely no problem. I don't think a
- 11:59Speaker 6: piece of paper tells you what school you should root for.
- 12:02Speaker 6: It's what teams you're fandom of. So I have no
- 12:04Speaker 6: problem with Dan. I have no problem with Dan Byer
- 12:07Speaker 6: going to Wisconsin and being an Ohio State fan. My
- 12:10Speaker 6: problem would have been if he was like, I'm a
- 12:13Speaker 6: Wisconsin basketball fan and an Ohio State football fan.
- 12:16Speaker 9: But we don't have that here.
- 12:17Speaker 3: I mean, Dan's got some stones.
- 12:19Speaker 1: I would have showed up to those games wearing Wisconsin
- 12:21Speaker 1: gears secretly rooting for Ohios.
- 12:23Speaker 4: You have to stay.
- 12:24Speaker 7: Strong in these situations, like as a Gator fan, we
- 12:27Speaker 7: had our down moments and here I am living in
- 12:29Speaker 7: South Florida when um is, I guess coming back. And
- 12:32Speaker 7: you know, there's a lot of people around me supporting them.
- 12:35Speaker 7: My own family supports you. M My sister went through
- 12:37Speaker 7: their nursing program. And I'm still sitting here supporting up
- 12:41Speaker 7: hating on UM at all times. Even though the pressure's
- 12:44Speaker 7: on to pick up that alliance allegiance, I'm not going
- 12:47Speaker 7: to do it.
- 12:47Speaker 1: We're gonna do it. You stuck with Ohio State. I
- 12:50Speaker 1: mean that's that's a good job, sticking with your team.
- 12:52Speaker 4: Yeah, turn down, thank you. Yeah it did work on
- 12:56Speaker 4: I've worked well for you. Yeah.
- 12:57Speaker 14: Yeah, But nobody remembers. Nobody remembers like Liberty Ball against
- 13:00Speaker 14: air Force. Well, you know we're watching those games. Are
- 13:02Speaker 14: the Hall of Fame games that you'd have to play
- 13:04Speaker 14: against Syracuse or other schools when nothing was happening. But yeah,
- 13:08Speaker 14: it's been pretty good for the last thirty years.
- 13:10Speaker 4: Loved a good Liberty Bowl. Yeah, who doesn't, right right
- 13:14Speaker 4: BYU is always in it, right except when you lose
- 13:16Speaker 4: the Air Force. That's the only problem.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Is he much like the seventy two Dolphins who pop
- 13:23Speaker 1: open a bottle of champagne every time the last undefeated
- 13:26Speaker 1: team in the NFL finally loses a game. We have
- 13:30Speaker 1: to play some sound here because Taylor, entering last night's play,
- 13:33Speaker 1: how many teams were undefeated in Major League Baseball?
- 13:36Speaker 6: There were five teams undefeated in the MLB, the Dodgers,
- 13:40Speaker 6: the Yankees, the Brewers, the Blue Jays, and the Marlins. Yes,
- 13:46Speaker 6: one of the hot teams in baseball. But is he
- 13:49Speaker 6: they all went into yesterday undefeated?
- 13:52Speaker 9: They all lost yesterday?
- 13:53Speaker 1: All right, so let's all drink some champagne here. Courtesy
- 13:57Speaker 1: of one Mike Frances to the Pope Teams.
- 14:03Speaker 8: Nick in New Jersey.
- 14:04Speaker 4: What's up?
- 14:05Speaker 5: Nick?
- 14:06Speaker 15: I think Mike I was just wondering with Yankees and
- 14:12Speaker 15: just baseball in general. Do you ever see a team
- 14:14Speaker 15: going undefeated in the regular season that being as dominant
- 14:19Speaker 15: as the Pats and the Dolphins where they.
- 14:20Speaker 9: Write one hundred and sixty two and zero.
- 14:24Speaker 15: Yeah, like a team being that dominant? Do you think
- 14:27Speaker 15: that could be back that happened in baseball?
- 14:30Speaker 4: You're not?
- 14:30Speaker 5: Seriously, no, like we've seen Wait have you seen anybody
- 14:36Speaker 5: come close to one hundred and sixty too?
- 14:38Speaker 15: And oh well then the Yankees that one year and
- 14:41Speaker 15: twenty and okay.
- 14:42Speaker 5: Wait wait, the Yankees didn't win one hundred and twenty.
- 14:46Speaker 8: They won one hundred and eleven in the regular.
- 14:48Speaker 4: Season, only fifty games away, fifty.
- 14:53Speaker 5: Not a game fifty games away.
- 14:57Speaker 15: But they had one hundred and ten wins.
- 14:58Speaker 7: They were he were would but they weren't as dominated
- 15:01Speaker 7: as the Patriots or other teams.
- 15:03Speaker 5: Wait, wait, so you think a team that you're comparing
- 15:07Speaker 5: winning sixteen games to winning one hundred and sixty.
- 15:10Speaker 15: Two, Well, obviously football has less games one.
- 15:15Speaker 5: More game they football has won less games. Really, yeah,
- 15:20Speaker 5: do you think they have less games?
- 15:22Speaker 15: No?
- 15:22Speaker 8: Well, I know football they.
- 15:24Speaker 5: Have sixteen, right, and the others have one hundred and
- 15:27Speaker 5: so you think a team could go one hundred and
- 15:29Speaker 5: sixty two and oh if they were that Domini?
- 15:33Speaker 8: Yeah, you do have like RV.
- 15:35Speaker 5: Right, so you think that's either right, it's the best
- 15:38Speaker 5: team of now the best team of all time. I
- 15:40Speaker 5: don't know what team you considered the best team of
- 15:42Speaker 5: all time? What team do you consider the best baseball
- 15:45Speaker 5: team of all time?
- 15:47Speaker 15: Maybe that Murderers row Yankee team.
- 15:49Speaker 5: Okay, now what do you think now? That team played
- 15:51Speaker 5: one hundred and fifty four game schedule. How many games
- 15:54Speaker 5: do you think they won?
- 15:56Speaker 13: Oh?
- 15:56Speaker 8: I don't know, Maybe they lost though, how.
- 16:00Speaker 15: Many do you either think they lost?
- 16:01Speaker 5: Maybe probably forty, Mike, So how would you get from
- 16:05Speaker 5: forty to zero?
- 16:07Speaker 4: Well, they would need to be a lot better, obviously.
- 16:10Speaker 5: Let me know when it happens, Okay, because I want
- 16:12Speaker 5: to like watch how what do you know it? I'm
- 16:17Speaker 5: telling you folks, John and Breezy point?
- 16:20Speaker 4: What's up? John?
- 16:21Speaker 15: Hi?
- 16:21Speaker 9: Mike?
- 16:22Speaker 8: What's happening?
- 16:23Speaker 6: What mental is silent?
- 16:24Speaker 4: I have no idea.
- 16:25Speaker 8: I have the hole from I have no idea.
- 16:28Speaker 4: Well, Taylor, it doesn't really.
- 16:30Speaker 7: I mean the college still has a point because right
- 16:32Speaker 7: now these teams only have one loss, so if they
- 16:34Speaker 7: win the rest of their games, they will have gotten closed.
- 16:36Speaker 4: Yes, very close. What's ever go?
- 16:38Speaker 7: Yeah? I think we should celebrate. When they get to
- 16:41Speaker 7: about twenty losses, they'll.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Be like, Okay, the sneaky best part of that call
- 16:45Speaker 1: is the caller just sliding in Matt Harvey.
- 16:51Speaker 4: I didn't even notice that.
- 16:53Speaker 6: That shows how long ago it was, because Matt Harvey
- 16:55Speaker 6: hasn't been dominant in about twelve years.
- 16:59Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godson Company

- 17:14Speaker 1: weekend of college basketball on ESPN dot com right now,
- 17:18Speaker 1: the first eight headlines are about the NFL, and Dan's
- 17:20Speaker 1: update was all NFL.
- 17:21Speaker 4: It wasn't just the NFL.
- 17:23Speaker 7: It's like the Cowboys don't know if Pickens is going
- 17:26Speaker 7: to make a voluntary practice a month from now.
- 17:29Speaker 4: But maybe it's so ridiculous.
- 17:32Speaker 1: That guttural laugh you just heard was from Frank Caliendo. Hi, Frank,
- 17:36Speaker 1: how are you?
- 17:37Speaker 16: I'm more laughing that you guys think that's what the
- 17:39Speaker 16: problem is. I think they are corrected. You have no
- 17:44Speaker 16: idea what you're talking about. And before we start these
- 17:46Speaker 16: weekend observations, by the way, yes, which I just which
- 17:49Speaker 16: I just got a little bit ago, probably because you've
- 17:51Speaker 16: finished them a little bit ago.
- 17:52Speaker 4: Yeah, well I touched them up.
- 17:55Speaker 17: It was I You're killing me with all the pro
- 17:59Speaker 17: Arizona stuff. I'm just stating that ahead of time because
- 18:02Speaker 17: my kids, all my tuition money goes to Arizona State
- 18:06Speaker 17: for both my kids. So and Randy Bennett there now,
- 18:11Speaker 17: Bobby Hurley loved Bobby Hurley. I'm just saying that in
- 18:13Speaker 17: advance because I'm about to really feel sick to.
- 18:18Speaker 8: My stomach to a lot.
- 18:18Speaker 7: Frank, We've got this Arizona team as the greatest college
- 18:21Speaker 7: of basketball team of all time, and I just can.
- 18:23Speaker 4: Tell from this I understand one hundred percent.
- 18:27Speaker 18: I literally have a bar bag in front of it.
- 18:30Speaker 19: And it's terrible. It's really really bad. You got I
- 18:33Speaker 19: don't know anything about college basketball, but but I'm getting
- 18:37Speaker 19: paid millions of dollars to be on it. But let
- 18:39Speaker 19: me say this, knuckle here is this is the most
- 18:42Speaker 19: pro Arizona I don't even mind the Michigan stuff. That's
- 18:44Speaker 19: what are we ready to get to?
- 18:46Speaker 8: This, knuckle head? Is that what we're running for.
- 18:48Speaker 7: I've been dying to ask Charles when he doesn't buy
- 18:50Speaker 7: new suits after losing all the weight.
- 18:52Speaker 19: Because it's it's like camouflage. He was understanding. I'm an
- 18:58Speaker 19: I'm a tin of little man. I'm gonna do a
- 19:00Speaker 19: fat shot right now. GOP one, I got GOP one,
- 19:04Speaker 19: GOP two, GOP three, this is GOP third or four,
- 19:08Speaker 19: that's my number. Knuckle here, right in here, put it
- 19:11Speaker 19: here right in the goldy the little man like one
- 19:15Speaker 19: of the It's like those guys wear the sumo suits,
- 19:18Speaker 19: those guys whistle do the super pow suit.
- 19:20Speaker 8: Yes, I'm one of those little guys in there.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Frank, You'll love this because Izzy and I both watched
- 19:25Speaker 1: Arizona for the first time this season. I think it
- 19:27Speaker 1: was the Sweet sixteen, and the next day came on
- 19:29Speaker 1: the air and said, that's the greatest college basketball team
- 19:31Speaker 1: of all time.
- 19:32Speaker 18: I'm just happy that you didn't push Izzy out for
- 19:35Speaker 18: a guest.
- 19:36Speaker 8: That's all.
- 19:37Speaker 13: Hey, hey, hey, no respect at all.

- 19:47Speaker 1: has shows in Denver.
- 19:50Speaker 3: And so we'll promote those throughout this segment.
- 19:52Speaker 17: Here.
- 19:52Speaker 1: Anything you want to say about those shows. Mikey A
- 19:54Speaker 1: went to a show. He told me it was fantastic,
- 19:56Speaker 1: laugh out loud, Oh yeah, yes, fantastic.
- 19:58Speaker 20: Yes, played Frank lay probably the best show you've ever seen.

- 20:16Speaker 8: Dot Calm you're supposed to say that nine times ago.
- 20:18Speaker 16: Listen, if Joe Biden's get it before you, man, it's
- 20:20Speaker 16: quite correctly a lot of paper.
- 20:22Speaker 20: We're gonna say, I'm doing the best. I'm doing the
- 20:24Speaker 20: best anybody's in it done. Frank on Stage dot Com
- 20:27Speaker 20: at Irvine this week the Irvine Improv, Oxnard doing all

- 20:57Speaker 3: Iowa Sam give him the imaging.
- 20:58Speaker 21: Please, Oh this is so exciting, Jim Brow.
- 21:11Speaker 22: We started here or anything, so I wasn't sure if
- 21:14Speaker 22: it was time to start or not, or that was
- 21:16Speaker 22: just one of my incredible pauses, Dan Buyer. These used
- 21:21Speaker 22: to be amongst the college basketball, not the college basketball.
- 21:25Speaker 22: College basketball's elite three final fours in eight years with
- 21:29Speaker 22: stars like Sean Elliott, great knee brace, Steve Kerr, great
- 21:34Speaker 22: three pointer, Mike Bibbie. Any coach named Luke? What kind
- 21:39Speaker 22: of a name is Luke? It sounds like something you
- 21:43Speaker 22: would go over snow in. Anyways, what their dominance dated
- 21:47Speaker 22: in large part because of a coach named Sean who,
- 21:50Speaker 22: by the way, since you aren't watching college basketball, did
- 21:52Speaker 22: incredible job with Texas.
- 21:54Speaker 8: Great job, incredible, but doesn't go with what you wanted.
- 21:57Speaker 22: So I'm continuing that was then, this is now and
- 22:01Speaker 22: now thanks to a coach named Tommy Dude who calls himselves.
- 22:07Speaker 8: Tommy has a forty plus year old.
- 22:10Speaker 4: What is up with that?
- 22:11Speaker 22: Tommy boy was out selling parts ridiculous David Spade next
- 22:17Speaker 22: to him. Great job, The tim team filled with superstars.
- 22:21Speaker 22: They made it back to the Final four for the
- 22:23Speaker 22: first time since two thousand and one, and just like that,
- 22:26Speaker 22: made no mistake about it.
- 22:28Speaker 8: Arizona is loot alright, loud, I like this guy?
- 22:35Speaker 4: Huh?
- 22:36Speaker 13: Top five people in sports and entertainment who connots nice wording?
- 22:39Speaker 5: There?
- 22:42Speaker 4: You're saying Tomato.
- 22:43Speaker 13: W I say tomorrow one in a slang conno, a
- 22:46Speaker 13: slang term political. Let's read the whole thing going away
- 22:48Speaker 13: through the top five people in sports and entertainment who kno.
- 22:52Speaker 8: I still don't know which way to say it slang
- 22:54Speaker 8: term for money?
- 22:55Speaker 10: What five?
- 22:56Speaker 8: Five flips mount fie fie fie fye.
- 23:00Speaker 13: Like five fingers. Some guys I know only have four.
- 23:02Speaker 13: You know why we can't talk about five? Loud Olson,
- 23:07Speaker 13: that's right on time, right on talking about four Withnoy Benjamin.
- 23:10Speaker 8: A lot of people think it's Ben wah.
- 23:12Speaker 23: No, No, he's not a hockey player, not a hockey player,
- 23:15Speaker 23: but Nooy Benjamin, Robert de Niro, the Niro, the Narrow
- 23:21Speaker 23: Hash and Fepper incorporated. Joe was waiting Roman that on accident,
- 23:26Speaker 23: Joe Bot Sam.
- 23:29Speaker 8: Joe Joe buck Rug.
- 23:30Speaker 4: There the fabulous.
- 23:33Speaker 13: Mula come the hat number one, Fabrius Lula hat.
- 23:37Speaker 8: And I got a bigger laugh out of you the
- 23:39Speaker 8: first time.
- 23:40Speaker 4: Every time I see.
- 23:41Speaker 13: Every time I watch Arizona player, I'm convinced it, Lessen,
- 23:44Speaker 13: give me somebody else for this.
- 23:46Speaker 4: Go ahead.
- 23:47Speaker 8: Oh that's a good call, Stude.
- 23:50Speaker 13: Every time I watch Arizona play, I'm convinced you're the
- 23:54Speaker 13: best team in the country.
- 23:56Speaker 8: Until I watch Michigan Player.
- 23:58Speaker 13: Then I'm convinced today it's not the best team in
- 24:01Speaker 13: the country.
- 24:02Speaker 8: Now, let me tell you how I read this the
- 24:04Speaker 8: first time.
- 24:05Speaker 13: Yes, every time I watch Arizona play, I'm convinced they're
- 24:09Speaker 13: the best team of the country.
- 24:10Speaker 8: Until I watch Michigan play.
- 24:11Speaker 13: Then I'm convinced they're still the best team in the country.
- 24:19Speaker 8: Arizona, Yes, Michigan.
- 24:21Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 24:21Speaker 8: For all the marbles?
- 24:23Speaker 13: Yes, you know what the A in Arizona stands for?
- 24:26Speaker 13: What all the you know what the M and Michigan
- 24:31Speaker 13: stands for what? Frank marble marble Maybe a better voice
- 24:37Speaker 13: for that one ys regional, Yes, the rare regional to
- 24:40Speaker 13: live up to the final four higher Death Texes and
- 24:44Speaker 13: Johnshire choking in March. They're not gonna be happy with
- 24:51Speaker 13: us in North Carolina.
- 24:52Speaker 8: Right now, at least some parts.
- 24:54Speaker 1: Frank onstage dot Com for tickets his upcoming show.
- 24:56Speaker 4: It's Morgan freaking Freeman.
- 24:58Speaker 3: Is what I've been a Yes, Morgan frigid too many
- 25:02Speaker 3: people in.
- 25:03Speaker 13: The truth of the matter is, that's probably the most
- 25:06Speaker 13: ridiculous screw up that.
- 25:07Speaker 8: Worked out properly and I've ever heard.
- 25:12Speaker 13: Let's just do that joke, adamn, and see if it
- 25:13Speaker 13: works as Morgan you know what the sea John Shire
- 25:17Speaker 13: otherwise known as John always a game Shire, Yet I
- 25:23Speaker 13: do look at a second. You know what the see
- 25:26Speaker 13: and coach shire stands for, not coach K. That would
- 25:32Speaker 13: have been a paccino. You know what the see and
- 25:34Speaker 13: coach Shire stands for, not coach K. Obliterating with the
- 25:40Speaker 13: heart shove. See also can be soft where K is
- 25:44Speaker 13: always hard. You know what I'm saying here. Duke was
- 25:49Speaker 13: zero and three when leading by ten points and more
- 25:52Speaker 13: the season. You of course know what that means. When
- 25:55Speaker 13: Duke is up by double digits. You have them right
- 25:59Speaker 13: where they watch you.
- 26:05Speaker 8: Hey, turn them? Who was there? Okay? Talk about tremendous situation?
- 26:10Speaker 17: That last one that could have been done better by
- 26:13Speaker 17: me than Morgan Freiman. Duke was owned three when leading
- 26:16Speaker 17: by ten points or more this season. You of course
- 26:18Speaker 17: know what that means. When Duke is up by double digits.
- 26:21Speaker 17: You have them right where they watch you talking about
- 26:24Speaker 17: tremendous situations. Right at the NCAA Tournament history one seeds
- 26:27Speaker 17: one, one hundred and thirty four to oh and games where
- 26:30Speaker 17: they led by fifteen plus points at halftime.
- 26:32Speaker 8: You know what that means. It means they were dude,
- 26:35Speaker 8: got tremendous job. Little boky of a joke there kind
- 26:38Speaker 8: of as well. I gotta I think there's a Hominem's.
- 26:41Speaker 4: Homograph, the Homo supthing, but there's homophone.
- 26:44Speaker 18: At the end of the day, we're gonna learn more
- 26:46Speaker 18: about the language as it goes. Here's something to potter
- 26:49Speaker 18: that John Shire can't win with these rosters.
- 26:53Speaker 17: That can you win with any roster nobody discussed? Now
- 26:55Speaker 17: stash it away for rainy day. Nobody does less with
- 27:00Speaker 17: more than John Shire. When Duke loses, America wins, Caten
- 27:06Speaker 17: boozers more like Caveen Losers doing a nice job of
- 27:10Speaker 17: riding right there.
- 27:11Speaker 24: Yukon is with Duke, thinks they are at the end
- 27:14Speaker 24: of the day, Dan Hurley doing what he does and
- 27:18Speaker 24: knocking these kids around mentally until they can perform in
- 27:21Speaker 24: the clutch like nobody else can.
- 27:23Speaker 8: Rylan Mullins you got done. It knows name one before this.
- 27:26Speaker 8: It's like working back with Todd McShane.
- 27:28Speaker 17: No idea that I built out the three ring find
- 27:30Speaker 17: around my basement. Everybody trying to find out what's going on.
- 27:33Speaker 17: Raylan Mullins Brayland money. Maybe they call him Braylan money.
- 27:37Speaker 17: They did because he was money on that shot. Raylan
- 27:39Speaker 17: money money with one of the greatest March Madness moments
- 27:43Speaker 17: of all time. March Madness moments alliteration going back to
- 27:47Speaker 17: the Grammar situation, the being Braylon Mullens stands for balls,
- 27:53Speaker 17: Emon Raylan Mullens stands for March. So he's got you
- 27:57Speaker 17: heard of the IDEs of March. When we got the
- 27:59Speaker 17: balls in March, the brightly balls. Arizona down seven that
- 28:04Speaker 17: half when he went by fifteenth, pale of two halves
- 28:06Speaker 17: for dude did what purdude does. Second half, Arizona remembered
- 28:12Speaker 17: they were Arizona. That's Arizona team buzz Saw, Bryce James
- 28:17Speaker 17: on Arizona. I mean, like I listen, I have the
- 28:20Speaker 17: names of every single person born to an NBA and
- 28:24Speaker 17: NFL player in the last twenty five years. Plan did
- 28:27Speaker 17: where he was Okay, So Bob Baschett getting Boom three
- 28:30Speaker 17: games into his Met's career, New York never changed. Also,
- 28:35Speaker 17: Bobashett more like Bogue Booshe.
- 28:39Speaker 8: He could have done a lot more of this could
- 28:41Speaker 8: have been.
- 28:41Speaker 17: It could have been bou It was bo Boushet could
- 28:44Speaker 17: have been Boo Bouchett could have been Boom.
- 28:47Speaker 8: Boushet could have been Boom Bushet.
- 28:49Speaker 17: I mean, there's a lot of different boos you can
- 28:51Speaker 17: put in there, just like you do at the end
- 28:53Speaker 17: of the day. He's still got a lot of different
- 28:55Speaker 17: booths going into that shitstem Fick, Brandon Lowe hitting great
- 28:59Speaker 17: home runs the first three games. The being Brad below
- 29:02Speaker 17: stands for Babe Rus Aaron Bood with a seven hundred
- 29:06Speaker 17: winners manager, Aaron Boom doing the playoffs.
- 29:09Speaker 8: Booty, there's a lot of boom. You know what you
- 29:13Speaker 8: want to keep doing?
- 29:14Speaker 4: This voice Obama?
- 29:15Speaker 3: I think Obama Franklin stage dot Com for tickets.
- 29:18Speaker 13: Obama, let me declare San Francisco Giants. It turns out
- 29:24Speaker 13: that hiring a manager with no MLB experience might have
- 29:29Speaker 13: been a bad idea.
- 29:31Speaker 8: White Sox brewers each each starting.
- 29:35Speaker 13: Catcher with the last named Clara, A couple of Aquaro's
- 29:41Speaker 13: cutting it off.
- 29:42Speaker 17: I'm not sure I understood that joke, but I probably
- 29:44Speaker 17: should ask about that one.
- 29:46Speaker 4: Me cut it back to the Chris Berman.
- 29:50Speaker 25: You know where Michigan took Tennessee behind the wish, see
- 29:54Speaker 25: what you will like nobody jas behind the wood shit
- 29:58Speaker 25: like Michigan Wolverine.
- 29:59Speaker 8: Get that need to close the excellent movies and I
- 30:04Speaker 8: know what a wolverine can do.
- 30:07Speaker 25: I don't know what's more surprising learning than Andrew mccutch
- 30:09Speaker 25: is still playing baseball he is, or learning that he's
- 30:14Speaker 25: a Texas Ranger class going casey, he's been.
- 30:20Speaker 8: On l he didn't walk off home, but make him back.
- 30:23Speaker 8: You've got somebody else. We're supposed to go fast and
- 30:25Speaker 8: many ways.
- 30:25Speaker 13: Your keep I mean iron Egle, I mean that's for
- 30:28Speaker 13: the brisonnor of Iron Eagle. Top five people in sports,
- 30:32Speaker 13: the conat I mean you're really big on using that
- 30:35Speaker 13: work that canoe connote.
- 30:37Speaker 3: A bird, Donald Trumpy.
- 30:39Speaker 8: Frankla O l A.
- 30:41Speaker 20: Rn say it is a tremendous well. You have two
- 30:43Speaker 20: syllables total for your full name. Rand say, say they
- 30:48Speaker 20: the penguin, the penguin, And a lot of people say
- 30:51Speaker 20: that the penguin is.
- 30:53Speaker 8: Not the greatest. I said, he's one of the best.
- 30:55Speaker 20: The penguin fudasage, gassage, bad nightingale for them to see crow.
- 31:00Speaker 8: I'm strom pc A. I am kind of kind of.
- 31:04Speaker 4: A number five, Steve.
- 31:08Speaker 26: That no other numbers articulated in this entire page, but
- 31:11Speaker 26: all of a sudden.
- 31:12Speaker 8: Five was Duck Hodges. Oh wait, that's the next segment.
- 31:15Speaker 26: Five Duc Dodgers Doc Doc Doc Hodges to four Robin Ventura,
- 31:21Speaker 26: A number three, A J Number two, Lynn Swann, number one,
- 31:29Speaker 26: Jenny Fish and one A Roady Sparrow. I say, I
- 31:34Speaker 26: understand where we're coming from, and here come the flyers,
- 31:37Speaker 26: why the hell the k and booze and I'm just

- 31:41Speaker 4: And speaking of hell, Art Drier stand byers.
- 31:45Speaker 8: Those are the weekend observations. I'm sweating from that.
- 31:51Speaker 4: Oh my god, it's so good.
- 31:52Speaker 16: I don't know if I'm sweating from that from going
- 31:54Speaker 16: for voice to voice or just because my reading isn't.
- 31:59Speaker 4: I forgot my glass.
- 32:00Speaker 1: Say is I can't see a thing they're typing to
- 32:02Speaker 1: me on the screen tonight.
- 32:03Speaker 3: I'm only laughing because you're wearing glasses.
- 32:05Speaker 21: Now.
- 32:06Speaker 16: I had to I'm that old. Yeah, uh it did
- 32:09Speaker 16: it did pay me a lot of this stuff. Yes,
- 32:11Speaker 16: uh say what you will, say what.

- 33:19Speaker 4: We appreciate it.
- 33:19Speaker 8: By the way, Can I say one last thing?
- 33:21Speaker 18: The funny is that is that like sound thing behind
- 33:24Speaker 18: you Stu gots because it looks like you're the way
- 33:27Speaker 18: you look on the little screen to me is you
- 33:28Speaker 18: look like you're sitting in a giant throne.
- 33:31Speaker 8: That's like.
- 33:33Speaker 4: Letting everyone else do my work for me.
- 33:35Speaker 16: Yes, of course, yes, here I proclaim I am on
- 33:40Speaker 16: the show.
- 33:41Speaker 4: All right, guys, that's just the television behind him?
- 33:45Speaker 8: Is that what it is?
- 33:47Speaker 18: I can't tell because it's small on the screen and
- 33:49Speaker 18: stuff like that.
- 33:50Speaker 8: But thanks a lot, guys.
- 33:51Speaker 20: We'll talk to you soon, and uh quite Frankly, that's
- 33:54Speaker 20: the best I've ever had.
- 33:55Speaker 4: We love you, buddy.
- 33:56Speaker 1: Frank got stage dot com if you want to purchase
- 33:58Speaker 1: tickets to any of the shows on his two or Frank,
- 34:00Speaker 1: We'll talk to you soon.
- 34:01Speaker 4: Buddy Radney, I am.
- 34:05Speaker 2: Be sure to catch live editions of Stu Godson Company
- 34:09Speaker 2: Live weekday, said three pm Eastern, twelve pm Pacific.
- 34:15Speaker 1: First Masters. I can recall without Phil and Tiger.
- 34:19Speaker 4: Wow. Yeah, I didn't even think about it. That's that's
- 34:23Speaker 4: next week though.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox eight seven seven
- 34:28Speaker 1: ninety nine on Fox, Izzy, would you like to hear
- 34:30Speaker 1: from Luca as it relates to the MVP. I'm gonna
- 34:32Speaker 1: put Luca and Wemby side by side here for you.
- 34:35Speaker 1: Here is Luca when asked about the NBA's MVP.
- 34:39Speaker 27: Obviously you're getting a lot of MVP momentum right now,
- 34:42Speaker 27: another forty point games only. Adding to that, Wemby obviously
- 34:47Speaker 27: recently stated his case for why he should win. Is
- 34:49Speaker 27: that something you're interested in doing as well? And if so,
- 34:52Speaker 27: what would your points be?
- 34:54Speaker 5: I mean, I never did that, so I'm not gonna.
- 34:57Speaker 5: I'm not the one voting, so you know, but I
- 35:00Speaker 5: think I've been playing pretty good.
- 35:02Speaker 9: We've been winning.
- 35:03Speaker 4: So that's it.
- 35:05Speaker 19: That's all I gotta say.
- 35:07Speaker 1: Now, that's how you handle the situation. Here is Wemby
- 35:10Speaker 1: last night after another big win. This is chapter fifteen
- 35:14Speaker 1: of why he should be the MVP.
- 35:16Speaker 18: How important is that to you eventually, whether it's now
- 35:19Speaker 18: or somewhere down the road, to be recognized as the
- 35:21Speaker 18: best player in this league?
- 35:23Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I do care deeply about it.
- 35:25Speaker 12: And I think that all the greats you know that
- 35:28Speaker 12: are in the Hall of Fame or that are in
- 35:30Speaker 12: our mind the best of all time, they have fought
- 35:33Speaker 12: and grabbed everything they could grab early on in their career,
- 35:38Speaker 12: you know. And if I want to make my spot
- 35:40Speaker 12: among the grades, I gotta try to not miss any
- 35:44Speaker 12: occasion to have to put my name up there.
- 35:48Speaker 6: It feels like if Wemby and Luca are neck and neck.
- 35:50Speaker 6: Wemby's got more neck.
- 35:51Speaker 4: Right, that's so much more neck.
- 35:53Speaker 7: Yeah, it doesn't even start until after Luca's head put
- 35:57Speaker 7: it on the Paul Taylor.
- 35:58Speaker 1: If Wemby and Luca our neck and neck for the MVP,
- 36:01Speaker 1: does Wenby have more neck?
- 36:03Speaker 7: If their neck and neck, Luca has to be standing
- 36:06Speaker 7: on two boxes.
- 36:09Speaker 1: But you are so right about this? Is he because
- 36:11Speaker 1: Wenby keeps lobbying. Now he's being asked a question and
- 36:14Speaker 1: he's answering that question honestly. But I am certain that
- 36:18Speaker 1: Luca has not thought about it, or maybe he has,
- 36:21Speaker 1: but he's certainly not going to give you or state
- 36:24Speaker 1: some sort of MVP case because he knows the voters
- 36:27Speaker 1: don't want to hear it.
- 36:28Speaker 7: Well, Luca, I don't know if it's his personality or
- 36:31Speaker 7: if he's just following what he believes is the act
- 36:33Speaker 7: that you're supposed to follow in the NBA.
- 36:35Speaker 4: But Luca is, Luca's one of the cool guys.
- 36:38Speaker 3: Luca like talks to the refs.
- 36:40Speaker 7: He's like, I'm the best who can't Like he's not
- 36:42Speaker 7: going to make a case for his MVP because he's
- 36:45Speaker 7: just too cool for that. Like that's not his move
- 36:47Speaker 7: r Wemby, where he says young players got everything that
- 36:53Speaker 7: they got when they could at a young age. When
- 36:56Speaker 7: did and I'm asking this honestly, I don't know the answer.
- 36:58Speaker 7: I was trying to look it up, but I didn't
- 36:59Speaker 7: want to ignore the show. When did Michael Jordan win
- 37:02Speaker 7: his first Most Valuable Player Award?
- 37:04Speaker 1: I'm not saying he should have won it every year.
- 37:06Speaker 1: I'm not certain. I'm not certain the first year. I
- 37:08Speaker 1: think it was eighty five, maybe eight eighty seven, eighty eight,
- 37:12Speaker 1: eighty eight.
- 37:13Speaker 7: Okay, so Lucas what in his third year in the league,
- 37:15Speaker 7: and that was about Jordan's fourth year in the league.
- 37:18Speaker 7: So yeah, I mean, I guess there's something to that,
- 37:20Speaker 7: right If you are going to lobby for MVP, it's
- 37:23Speaker 7: going to be when you're young and you have the
- 37:25Speaker 7: excuse of, hey, I'm a kid, I can say what
- 37:28Speaker 7: I want. I've got to get more experience in order
- 37:31Speaker 7: to know to back off what.
- 37:32Speaker 4: I think.
- 37:32Speaker 7: Wenby knows the league well enough, and I think he's
- 37:34Speaker 7: just defiant as a human being right now, Which if
- 37:37Speaker 7: you're that size and you're that dumb, and I'm like,
- 37:39Speaker 7: go ahead and be defiant, like I don't know anybody
- 37:41Speaker 7: else in the league who can say what he says
- 37:43Speaker 7: and really get away with it. Not that he's fully
- 37:45Speaker 7: getting away with it. Some people are critical of him,
- 37:47Speaker 7: but yeah, he could kind of say whatever he wants
- 37:49Speaker 7: because he's established himself as like a different person. But
- 37:51Speaker 7: the people who a different personality, but the people who
- 37:55Speaker 7: care the most about him saying.
- 37:56Speaker 4: That, they're not the voters. It's just the other other
- 37:58Speaker 4: players in the league. They just lose the little bit of.
- 38:01Speaker 7: Interest in that because they feel like he doesn't need
- 38:03Speaker 7: to lobby. Look at you, man, everybody can notice what
- 38:05Speaker 7: you're doing.
- 38:06Speaker 1: It's been so it's such a foreign concept of these
- 38:08Speaker 1: players to have someone care this much that he's willing
- 38:11Speaker 1: to state out loud during interviews.
- 38:13Speaker 3: Yes, I am the MVP, and here is why.
- 38:15Speaker 7: Because most of these like Luca, doesn't need an award
- 38:18Speaker 7: to tell himself that he is the man like he
- 38:21Speaker 7: believes he is the best offensive force in the game.
- 38:23Speaker 4: And most people would probably agree.
- 38:25Speaker 1: Yeah, but Wemby knows that they are judged by those awards.
- 38:28Speaker 1: They are historically they kind of are rings and MVPs.
- 38:31Speaker 4: What else do you go to? Where was Dwayne Rings?
- 38:33Speaker 4: For sure?
- 38:33Speaker 7: But where was Dwyane Wade on that list of a
- 38:35Speaker 7: top one hundred Bleacher Reports NBA players of all time
- 38:38Speaker 7: from last year.
- 38:39Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 38:39Speaker 9: I don't five.
- 38:41Speaker 4: Yes, I think he was twenty three. I think he
- 38:43Speaker 4: was eighty five.
- 38:44Speaker 7: Yes, I think he was twenty three, and I think
- 38:48Speaker 7: maybe top three in MVP one time his you know,
- 38:51Speaker 7: the two thousand and eight, two thousand and nine.
- 38:52Speaker 4: Season, So the MVP part whatever.
- 38:54Speaker 7: Man like, there are players who believe, you know, Jokic
- 38:57Speaker 7: probably believes he should win it every year and that
- 38:58Speaker 7: people are just tired of vote for him, which I
- 39:01Speaker 7: still contend. If Nikola Jokic had zero MVPs, he would
- 39:06Speaker 7: be in first place this season as well as he
- 39:09Speaker 7: reaches the sixty five gay minimum.
- 39:10Speaker 1: As Taylor pointed out yesterday, he's top five and Zzzy plus,
- 39:16Speaker 1: no one's getting voter fatigued with Jokic.
- 39:19Speaker 4: Are they? Absolutely?
- 39:21Speaker 7: Nobody wants to give this guy six MVPs and say
- 39:23Speaker 7: you're on the same level as Jordan because they don't
- 39:25Speaker 7: think of them as you know, basketball equivalents, even though
- 39:29Speaker 7: they are right now.
- 39:30Speaker 6: Is it a foreign concept because it feels like only
- 39:32Speaker 6: foreigners win this MVP award?
- 39:34Speaker 4: Now someone caring. Yeah, I'd like to since all the
- 39:40Speaker 4: foreigners win it, like to keep it in North America.
- 39:42Speaker 4: Let's share. Get another one.
- 39:43Speaker 1: Let's go out to Mike who was in Seattle today. Mike,
- 39:46Speaker 1: go ahead, you're on Fox Sports Radio.
- 39:48Speaker 8: Hey, thanks for taking my call.
- 39:50Speaker 24: What do you think about the Seattle Marriers making it
- 39:53Speaker 24: to the World Series this year and then winning it?
- 39:57Speaker 1: I gotta tell you, Julio Rodriguez needs to get off
- 39:59Speaker 1: to a hotter start enough. I mean he think every
- 40:02Speaker 1: year this guy thinks this season starts like Game forty four.
- 40:05Speaker 4: I mean it started five days ago. Let's go right.
- 40:08Speaker 4: I have no idea about this man's history in the
- 40:11Speaker 4: starting season.
- 40:11Speaker 3: The big jumper more like big slumper.
- 40:14Speaker 4: How about that? Thank you God?
- 40:19Speaker 1: That makes me feel so much better having that sound
- 40:21Speaker 1: come on right after I say that.
- 40:23Speaker 4: It's amazing. Somebody was saying that at the Seattle Mariners.
- 40:27Speaker 7: Was it Tim Kirchen saying that the Mariners might be
- 40:29Speaker 7: a World Series favorite?
- 40:31Speaker 21: I have no idea.
- 40:32Speaker 9: Yeah, that was Kirching? Was it really good rotation?
- 40:34Speaker 6: They have Luis Castillo absolutely shoved against the Yankees, but
- 40:37Speaker 6: overall the Mariners have got off to a slow start
- 40:39Speaker 6: three and four.
- 40:40Speaker 3: We are doing sports radio. Man, we're talking Mariners baseball.
- 40:44Speaker 9: They just got Brendan Donovan.
- 40:46Speaker 6: Brendan Donovan has been a great acquisition by them.
- 40:50Speaker 4: That's baseball.
- 40:51Speaker 7: Yes, Chad Gpt says, they're built for close games. They're
- 40:54Speaker 7: comfortable winning three to two, four to three type of games.
- 40:57Speaker 7: That's exactly what postseason baseball turns into.
- 40:59Speaker 4: That thing's going to replace. She was a host one day.
- 41:01Speaker 7: Hey, listen, I'm just trying to help out the collar man.
- 41:03Speaker 7: Maybe he doesn't have the twenty bucks a month to
- 41:05Speaker 7: pay for the chat. GPT not just giving him the option.
- 41:09Speaker 7: That's baseball is one of the best drops that we have.
- 41:11Speaker 7: That just disarmed me, made me laugh so much.
- 41:13Speaker 4: That's baseball, thank you. Who is the guy the Mariners
- 41:17Speaker 4: just picked up what's.
- 41:18Speaker 9: His name, Brendan Donovan from the Cardinals.
- 41:20Speaker 3: Instant dividends?
- 41:21Speaker 6: I mean, what's instant dividends? Batting four to seventeen, great defense?
- 41:25Speaker 4: Yes, how many games has he played?
- 41:27Speaker 9: Seven?
- 41:29Speaker 1: Listen, I just said Otani he is overrated based on
- 41:32Speaker 1: his one sixty seven start.
- 41:34Speaker 4: So I can't get mad at you. In fact, I'm
- 41:35Speaker 4: proud of you. We've got a caller Michael in Miami.
- 41:37Speaker 7: He apparently wants to discuss the seventy two Dolphins, and
- 41:40Speaker 7: if he does not tell us why the seventy two
- 41:42Speaker 7: Dolphins were so special, yeah, I'm gonna be disappointed.
- 41:44Speaker 1: Let's go to Michael in Miami. Go ahead, Michael, you're
- 41:47Speaker 1: on Fox Sports Radio.
- 41:49Speaker 4: Hey, it's Mike in Miami. We established that.
- 41:54Speaker 8: So I just.
- 41:55Speaker 6: Wanted to say that the seventy two Dolphins were so
- 41:58Speaker 6: special because they won all the games.
- 42:00Speaker 3: And that's all I have.
- 42:03Speaker 4: That's a great point. Who is this.
- 42:08Speaker 3: One of the all time callers to the show that
- 42:12Speaker 3: I did with Dan?
- 42:13Speaker 4: That's an easy call to replicate, and it hits every time.
- 42:17Speaker 3: That was Betty and Fort Lauderdale. I'll never forget that name.
- 42:20Speaker 1: I'll never forget where he was the day he called in,
- 42:23Speaker 1: to where I was the day he called in.
- 42:25Speaker 4: But one of the great calls.
- 42:27Speaker 3: It's sports radio history.
- 42:29Speaker 1: In fact, look at you, Irish Sam.
- 42:33Speaker 8: Play it Betty in Fort Loaderdale, Lauderdale.
- 42:35Speaker 4: You're on seven ninety. Hi, this is Betty for Fort Lauderdale.
- 42:39Speaker 4: We've established that.
- 42:42Speaker 9: I want to say that the seventy two Dolphins are
- 42:45Speaker 9: so special because they.
- 42:47Speaker 13: Won every game.
- 42:48Speaker 4: And then they won all the playoff games. That's a
- 42:50Speaker 4: pretty good call.
- 42:51Speaker 8: Who is this.
- 42:58Speaker 1: Now?
- 42:59Speaker 9: I don't think that guy was right.
- 43:01Speaker 26: Man.
- 43:03Speaker 4: Even the name Benny just sounds like a grown man
- 43:06Speaker 4: named Benny. It's just weird.
- 43:08Speaker 1: That was Mark Cockman's voice you heard right there with
- 43:10Speaker 1: Stegotz a Hawk. A new episode is out right now.
- 43:14Speaker 1: We broke down our interview we did with Roberto Duran,
- 43:17Speaker 1: who couldn't speak English or understand what Dan was asking
- 43:20Speaker 1: him because he didn't understand English.
- 43:24Speaker 4: At a time. It was a different time.
- 43:25Speaker 1: Yes, that is what we broke down on today's show
- 43:29Speaker 1: eight seven, seven ninety nine on Fox. So Taylor yesterday
- 43:33Speaker 1: asked if Italy has sports radio, and I said, I'm
- 43:36Speaker 1: not certain, but if they do, Jim Rome should be
- 43:38Speaker 1: the host.
- 43:41Speaker 4: I was waiting for it. I wanted to sound right there.
- 43:44Speaker 4: I didn't get it. I got it yesterday.
- 43:46Speaker 1: But Taylor is also told those here that he has
- 43:48Speaker 1: mapped out his Italian show and what it would sound
- 43:51Speaker 1: like is he how do you imagine Taylor doing this like,
- 43:54Speaker 1: there's no way he's about to do it for us
- 43:56Speaker 1: for the first time.
- 43:58Speaker 3: He does this at home, staring in a mirror, right I.
- 44:00Speaker 7: Mean, he's gotta give it a couple of practice shots,
- 44:03Speaker 7: maybe on the car right over so he doesn't have
- 44:05Speaker 7: to look at himself.
- 44:06Speaker 9: And I'm not entirely confident in this one.
- 44:09Speaker 3: I mean, how could you be.
- 44:11Speaker 4: That's all right? You got an Italian background, You're clear.
- 44:14Speaker 3: I mean yesterday all we had was mom and me.
- 44:20Speaker 1: A all right, So how do you want to do this?
- 44:25Speaker 4: Taylor?
- 44:25Speaker 1: You want to You just want to start going and
- 44:27Speaker 1: doing your show. This is Taylor if he was a
- 44:29Speaker 1: sports radio host, if he was Jim Rome doing a
- 44:32Speaker 1: show in Italy.
- 44:33Speaker 9: But Sam, first, I need the music.
- 44:36Speaker 4: Now, you know who you're listening to?
- 44:38Speaker 6: A banjo ragazzi. It's a me, Mike, Francese and Mamma Mia.
- 44:46Speaker 6: We miss a third consecutive World Cup. Gabrielle Gravini resigned.
- 44:50Speaker 6: Johan Luigi bufun is stepping down. This bouf fun is
- 44:54Speaker 6: a buffoon enough. I'm a Stanza. It's time to fire
- 44:59Speaker 6: John Aro Gattuso. The g's in both Gennaro and Gattuso. Stanford,
- 45:05Speaker 6: get him out of here, and don't get me started
- 45:10Speaker 6: on our goalkeeper. Johan Luigi don Orama. I'm done oramo
- 45:15Speaker 6: with him Fanito. I've got my top five people in sports,
- 45:21Speaker 6: Hu Kanota, Italy Excited, Chinkue, mat Milano, Shinkue Quatro, Florence Griffin, Joiner, Flo,
- 45:36Speaker 6: Joe Trey, Jim Rome, DII Roma, Jim Rome, Due mc napoli.
- 45:46Speaker 4: In America, the column Mike Naples.
- 45:52Speaker 6: Barry Bonds here comes Como Leo Zori should hire, says
- 45:59Speaker 6: Fabricas or Francisco Cervelli. In other news, Vinnie Pascutino is
- 46:05Speaker 6: off to a slow start in a Kansas City to
- 46:07Speaker 6: start the season in the Miami Heat.
- 46:09Speaker 9: Need to play Simoni f.
- 46:10Speaker 6: Techo more so all we have today.
- 46:17Speaker 3: So when he shares my man, I need to come
- 46:21Speaker 3: hug you.
- 46:21Speaker 4: We're gonna need a segment every week.
- 46:24Speaker 3: I want people to call into them.
- 46:26Speaker 7: Number two, whire English, peep English listeners listening to this
- 46:31Speaker 7: Italian show where they're not shows in Italian in Italy,
- 46:34Speaker 7: doesn't matter. Don't answer that question. Number three, what is
- 46:37Speaker 7: his show? Abastanza? You said, what does that mean?
- 46:41Speaker 9: Enough?
- 46:42Speaker 4: Okay?
- 46:43Speaker 7: And my favorite part Kansas City clearly the best part that.
- 46:47Speaker 4: When you worked on a little bit, it was amazing.
- 46:50Speaker 3: Mikey, I'm so proud of them.
- 46:53Speaker 8: It's wonderful.
- 46:54Speaker 10: Yes, can we get an Italian tailor and an Irish Sam?
