- 0:00Speaker 1: It's me. It's other fucking Lala Kent. Welcome back to
- 0:07Speaker 1: the Give Them Lalla Podcast. I have my two best
- 0:13Speaker 1: friends since birth. Really yep, Danielle say hello?
- 0:19Speaker 2: Why do you say Danielle?
- 0:20Speaker 1: Because I'm from Utah. It's about Utah accents and Madison
- 0:24Speaker 1: aka the hot girl from grown Up who is.
- 0:30Speaker 2: You're welcome for bending over in front of the whole
- 0:33Speaker 2: world at.
- 0:35Speaker 1: The rifled age of sixteen.
- 0:37Speaker 2: I was nineteen and you.
- 0:40Speaker 1: Did you have your boob job yet?
- 0:42Speaker 2: Yeah? Oh wow, have my boob's done it? Seventeen? Oh yeah,
- 0:46Speaker 2: that's right. She got them done super early.
- 0:48Speaker 1: I remember she called me and said I look different.
- 0:52Speaker 1: And the next time you see me and I go,
- 0:54Speaker 1: you got a boob job because you have to have
- 0:56Speaker 1: sexy get pregnant, which you weren't doing then. No, so
- 0:59Speaker 1: it had to been a boob job. She could have
- 1:01Speaker 1: got her butt done.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Madison never, I'm not a I mean she was pretty
- 1:06Speaker 2: flat too, so, but she didn't tell me. You know that,
- 1:08Speaker 2: I didn't tell anybody because I wasn't even planning on
- 1:11Speaker 2: doing it. I just went in for a consultation. He
- 1:13Speaker 2: was like, I have a cancelation on Thursday and I
- 1:16Speaker 2: was like, great, I'll get them done. I didn't even
- 1:18Speaker 2: this is how I made big wife decisions back then.
- 1:21Speaker 2: I did not even think twice, Wow, did you did.
- 1:25Speaker 3: It regret that decision?
- 1:26Speaker 1: Or were you happy with.
- 1:27Speaker 3: My boo amazing?
- 1:28Speaker 2: They're great there and they're perfect size. I've had them
- 1:31Speaker 2: like they're daily.
- 1:32Speaker 1: They look natural.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Yeah, they're not fue natural, they're perfect.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Yeah, they're good. But my friends, they've been with you
- 1:40Speaker 1: for a long time.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:42Speaker 1: You know what though, I kind of feel that same
- 1:43Speaker 1: way about my boob job. This like woman promised me
- 1:46Speaker 1: I was going to be like a Victoria's Secret model
- 1:48Speaker 1: if I got my boobs done. Spoiler alert, it didn't happen.
- 1:53Speaker 2: The first time.
- 1:54Speaker 1: The first time. So Madison and Danielle we go way
- 1:59Speaker 1: way back from not Danielle, But.
- 2:02Speaker 2: We actually didn't even have a choice whether we wanted
- 2:05Speaker 2: to be friends or not. We were kind of just
- 2:07Speaker 2: thrown into life, thrown into life as r and family.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Yeah, because our mom's got to be best friends in
- 2:16Speaker 1: middle school. And my mom always says that your mom
- 2:19Speaker 1: was always very deep because in high school, when my
- 2:23Speaker 1: mom was like picking out a new shirt, your mom
- 2:26Speaker 1: was hauling out furniture.
- 2:28Speaker 2: She's always really she did like.
- 2:32Speaker 1: She did very mature things. So no, we didn't have
- 2:34Speaker 1: a choice. But I feel like I would pick you
- 2:36Speaker 1: guys as my friends regardless. Do you feel that way?
- 2:40Speaker 1: Of course you do.
- 2:43Speaker 2: She's like I do. But it's beautiful because we are
- 2:47Speaker 2: so similar in so many ways, but then we also
- 2:49Speaker 2: have totally different likes also, so it's it's like such
- 2:54Speaker 2: a balanced friendship.
- 2:56Speaker 1: I think so too, on all levels. And it feels
- 2:59Speaker 1: non judgmental, like family.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Unconditional, that's the words.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Unconditional.
- 3:05Speaker 2: That's it.
- 3:06Speaker 1: So you guys know that Danielle, Danielle, dan Yell, Danny
- 3:13Speaker 1: gave Danny. Danny gave birth to the most perfect little
- 3:18Speaker 1: boy who's here right now. He's fresh off the tit
- 3:22Speaker 1: cooing with his dad.
- 3:25Speaker 2: He needs his diaper change, he needs.
- 3:27Speaker 1: But luckily his dad knows how to do that. Good
- 3:30Speaker 1: for you and I really just Danielle's birthing experience is
- 3:39Speaker 1: one that number one obviously I can laugh about now
- 3:46Speaker 1: because it's just you have to know Danielle, all right.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Danielle is like, I'm natural. Don't worry. The baby's not
- 3:53Speaker 1: just left crying. The baby's with its dad.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Just walks out. We just put it outside for a minute.
- 4:00Speaker 1: You had this whole plangged in yelle.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Oh god, you guys. I wanted like natural home birth,
- 4:05Speaker 2: birthing tub, like any all, all of it from the jump. Yeah.
- 4:10Speaker 2: I worked with a midwife. I went into two OBI
- 4:13Speaker 2: appointments and they traumatized me. One of them was like,
- 4:18Speaker 2: right when I walked in, the first thing she said
- 4:20Speaker 2: to me was your high risk. And I was like,
- 4:23Speaker 2: you don't even know me. You you don't know my health,
- 4:27Speaker 2: Like how healthy I am. I'm a bit older, So
- 4:29Speaker 2: that's why she said that. And I get that they
- 4:31Speaker 2: have to say that, but I was like, I don't
- 4:33Speaker 2: even know you, and that's what you're gonna say to me,
- 4:35Speaker 2: Like this is a scary first Well, you're gonna my
- 4:38Speaker 2: first pregnant like their first pregnancy. You're gonna plant fear
- 4:41Speaker 2: right away.
- 4:42Speaker 4: Do you mind saying your age for a listener.
- 4:44Speaker 2: I'm thirty six, okay at all?
- 4:46Speaker 1: And you just gave birth in November. Yeah, okay, So
- 4:50Speaker 1: that was the first appointment. They did the ultrasound.
- 4:53Speaker 2: They did the first ultrasound, yes and everything, look prop
- 4:57Speaker 2: prop up your vagina, yeah, they probio. Yeah, and everything
- 5:01Speaker 2: looked fine. My everything was normal. She said, well, we're
- 5:04Speaker 2: going to have to have you in a lot more
- 5:06Speaker 2: or more frequently than a normal just a normal pregnancy
- 5:10Speaker 2: because of your high risk. And I was like, I'm
- 5:12Speaker 2: not coming into this office every week, Like fuck that.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Then I go, okay, well I don't want to see
- 5:19Speaker 2: her again. She really I didn't like it has to
- 5:21Speaker 2: work on her bed side.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Yeah, right, like.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Like not etiquette and sweetness even in a medical situation.
- 5:28Speaker 1: But I switched Obi's. I switched Obi's like six seven
- 5:32Speaker 1: months into my pregnancy.
- 5:33Speaker 2: Because you find one that feels like it.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Was maybe at like twenty I'm bad at months and weeks?
- 5:39Speaker 1: What what? How many months are you at? Like twenty
- 5:43Speaker 1: five weeks?
- 5:43Speaker 2: I don't know how. It's so weird how they do
- 5:45Speaker 2: it by weeks and you're like why do they do that?
- 5:46Speaker 2: And then when you get pregnant, you're like.
- 5:48Speaker 1: I'm twenty five weeks bad at mass So it's oh,
- 5:51Speaker 1: so I was right. I didn't I don't even know
- 5:53Speaker 1: all right. Anyway, I switched Obi's as well because I
- 5:56Speaker 1: didn't like my original ones bedside manner. Yeah, my twenty
- 6:00Speaker 1: week appointment, they send me over the results, and I'm
- 6:03Speaker 1: googling all of these big words and they literally when
- 6:07Speaker 1: I was googling, it was like Dwarfism for ocean. And
- 6:12Speaker 1: I kept trying to get my obie on the phone,
- 6:14Speaker 1: and I'm like, I'm freaking out. I just need to
- 6:17Speaker 1: know that my baby's healthy, like obviously, no matter what,
- 6:21Speaker 1: this is my baby. I just need to know how
- 6:22Speaker 1: I need to take care of myself. What do I
- 6:25Speaker 1: need to do for the baby. She would not call
- 6:27Speaker 1: me back.
- 6:27Speaker 2: That's horrible, and so I was left to my own devices. Yeah,
- 6:30Speaker 2: to send you information and not explain it is horrible, right.
- 6:34Speaker 1: So well, I was like, I'm moving on. And doctor Rothbart,
- 6:37Speaker 1: who delivered my baby, Brittany's baby, Stossy's Brittany is delivering
- 6:41Speaker 1: Christina Kelly's. He's great, Okay back to you. Yeah, so
- 6:44Speaker 1: the second appointment you had a different obie.
- 6:46Speaker 2: So yeah. So then I got referred to another one
- 6:49Speaker 2: and I told him that I wasn't interested in doing
- 6:52Speaker 2: the Gluecoast drink. So if you do research on the
- 6:54Speaker 2: Gluecoast drink, it's super toxic and has lots of uh
- 6:59Speaker 2: fake mcchole's in it, and there's really no or there's
- 7:03Speaker 2: other ways to test your glucose level to see if
- 7:06Speaker 2: you have digestinal diabetes. Yeah, say that right, And so
- 7:11Speaker 2: I told him. I was like, I'm not interested in
- 7:13Speaker 2: the drink. I want to do it this way or
- 7:15Speaker 2: this way or this way. And he was like, nope, sorry,
- 7:18Speaker 2: if you're in my practice, you will do what I say,
- 7:21Speaker 2: or else you can go find a new practitioner. All right, Tyrant.
- 7:25Speaker 2: I know it was very it was rough, and it's like,
- 7:29Speaker 2: I have a high rating of healthy babies, so you
- 7:33Speaker 2: must follow mike protocol because that's why I have such
- 7:37Speaker 2: high ratings. And I was like, okay, well I don't
- 7:40Speaker 2: want to do the drink, so fuck you.
- 7:43Speaker 1: Okay.
- 7:43Speaker 2: So both both experiences, I was like, I don't like
- 7:47Speaker 2: any of this. So then I went midwife and I
- 7:49Speaker 2: kind of was gonna go midwife. I just wanted to like,
- 7:52Speaker 2: go to my first appointment and here the heart beat,
- 7:56Speaker 2: hear the heartbeat, make sure it was in there. H
- 7:59Speaker 2: And it just rubbed me the wrong way. Both times.
- 8:02Speaker 2: I was just like, got really gross feelings about it.
- 8:04Speaker 2: So I went to my midwife and she was glorious,
- 8:08Speaker 2: shout out, Poudy just did it in her home. Yeah,
- 8:11Speaker 2: the appointments, I just would go in there. She she
- 8:14Speaker 2: did it. We just did it in her home. What
- 8:18Speaker 2: did you do in her home?
- 8:19Speaker 1: I measured?
- 8:23Speaker 2: No, No, never, she like the glucose, she said, she tested.
- 8:28Speaker 2: She pricked my finger, tested my blood. Then I got
- 8:30Speaker 2: to go eat any kind of breakfast I wanted. And
- 8:34Speaker 2: then I came back and she pricked my finger and
- 8:36Speaker 2: she tested my blood to see how my blood handled
- 8:40Speaker 2: the sugar levels. And she said, you're fine. You don't
- 8:41Speaker 2: have anything to worry about.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Okay.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Everything that I did throughout my whole pregnancy was nothing
- 8:48Speaker 2: high risk. I had the most easiest pregnancy. I never
- 8:51Speaker 2: got sick. All my levels were normal. And I'm vegetarian,
- 8:55Speaker 2: so like to have normal like iron levels and stuff.
- 8:58Speaker 2: I mean I had to supplement with like iron. But
- 9:01Speaker 2: it was like the easiest pregnancy.
- 9:03Speaker 1: No, you did have an easy pregnancy. Ye. At what
- 9:04Speaker 1: point did you buy the bathtub and say I'm the
- 9:06Speaker 1: balls to the wall.
- 9:08Speaker 2: Bath tub, like since the like my third appointment, I
- 9:12Speaker 2: wasn't even showing yet, and I was like, I'm doing this,
- 9:14Speaker 2: I'm doing this.
- 9:15Speaker 1: Had you always wanted a home birth, how old were
- 9:18Speaker 1: you when you were like I'm going to do the
- 9:19Speaker 1: all natural way.
- 9:20Speaker 2: No drugs, honestly, looking back, because I've always wanted a baby,
- 9:24Speaker 2: but I've always been traumatized about being in a hospital. Okay,
- 9:28Speaker 2: so I think subconsciously I was like, I'm going to
- 9:30Speaker 2: have to figure out how to have this baby more
- 9:33Speaker 2: like out of the hospital. And then when I started
- 9:35Speaker 2: doing the research after, I mean, I was doing research
- 9:38Speaker 2: before I got pregnant, let's be honest, but I think,
- 9:41Speaker 2: I mean forever, I've always probably subconsciously wanted a home birth, and.
- 9:46Speaker 1: That is the most savage thing ever.
- 9:48Speaker 2: You can really romantic some well it's like just naturally, like.
- 9:50Speaker 1: I mean, and there's nothing about that that sounds fun safe.
- 9:56Speaker 2: It's totally it's actually, well it doesn't sound fun. Birth
- 9:59Speaker 2: is sound terrifying. It's actually the statistics are a lot safer.
- 10:04Speaker 1: My birth was awesome. Yeah, My birth was like I
- 10:11Speaker 1: was shooting rainbows out aim.
- 10:12Speaker 2: You had no fear going into your birth, You didn't
- 10:15Speaker 2: have any anxiety about the whole process. You were totally
- 10:17Speaker 2: at peace the whole time, even though you knew that
- 10:20Speaker 2: you were gonna do it with an epidural, Like, you
- 10:22Speaker 2: didn't have any anxiousness about it.
- 10:24Speaker 1: I was nervous about getting the epidural because I'm I'm
- 10:27Speaker 1: scared of needles. Yeah, it was. It was bad, right, No,
- 10:30Speaker 1: but when they the most basic thing they do to you,
- 10:33Speaker 1: which is put a needle in your arm, like literally
- 10:36Speaker 1: just when you arrive. I passed out twice and I
- 10:39Speaker 1: woke up and there were just doctors all around me
- 10:41Speaker 1: and they're like, are you good? I was like, I
- 10:43Speaker 1: just went into the abyss.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Are you going to be right back? I was like,
- 10:49Speaker 2: they give you the laughing ass. No, that's probably that's
- 10:53Speaker 2: what that's when I got my wizard Tetho out and
- 10:55Speaker 2: they were gonna put me under. They gave me that
- 10:57Speaker 2: before they did the needles to kind of like get you.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Yeah, but can they can you do that.
- 11:01Speaker 2: When you're friend to her? When she.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Yeah, they did, okay, get that. Okay, so I was
- 11:09Speaker 1: able to get spoiler alert another one. She obviously went
- 11:13Speaker 1: to the hospital at something.
- 11:14Speaker 4: But also I just want to say, up to this point,
- 11:17Speaker 4: I'm like, yes, that's what I'm going to do.
- 11:19Speaker 1: So I don't know where.
- 11:20Speaker 3: I don't think you're gonna lose me.
- 11:21Speaker 4: I think I'm like home birth, like the glucose drink
- 11:24Speaker 4: bad like the mid one, I want a home birth.
- 11:27Speaker 3: Well I'm thinking about it now. She hasn't said anything,
- 11:29Speaker 3: just turned off.
- 11:31Speaker 2: Really beautiful home birth. Yeah, it's not always like you
- 11:34Speaker 2: get one on one attention with your midwife, you ask
- 11:37Speaker 2: her any questions. She spent like an hour with me
- 11:39Speaker 2: each visit. And these are women are not roonded with
- 11:42Speaker 2: They've delivered hundreds of babies.
- 11:44Speaker 4: So sorry, Yeah, it's I'm it's getting convinced to have.
- 11:50Speaker 2: It over and over and over again. Midwife all the way,
- 11:53Speaker 2: all the no.
- 11:54Speaker 1: I love that part. Yes, my thing is number one
- 11:58Speaker 1: if something goes wrong, because you can't tell what's going
- 12:02Speaker 1: on with the baby inside of your stomach, Like I
- 12:04Speaker 1: just think I feel more comfortable.
- 12:06Speaker 2: About like when you're in labor.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Yes, when you're doing a home birth, you can't tell,
- 12:11Speaker 1: like and if the baby needs medical attention when it
- 12:14Speaker 1: comes out, Like, I just feel safer in a hospital. However,
- 12:18Speaker 1: let's just say everything is roses, the baby comes out fine.
- 12:21Speaker 1: In the end. I think the pain, I would pass
- 12:24Speaker 1: out cold.
- 12:25Speaker 2: That's my thing. That's the thing that because I would
- 12:28Speaker 2: be like, yeah, I want to do it naturally, and
- 12:30Speaker 2: I don't.
- 12:31Speaker 1: I don't have.
- 12:32Speaker 2: A great relationship with physical pain, emotional pain, mental pain,
- 12:39Speaker 2: spiritual pain. Like I have a high tolerance for those things, right,
- 12:42Speaker 2: like right, but physical pain for me, I'm like, uh, er,
- 12:46Speaker 2: totally don't. I was the one that you were like,
- 12:49Speaker 2: you could probably do this. My sister has been gnarly
- 12:52Speaker 2: since she came out of the womb.
- 12:54Speaker 1: She's she's like literally crashed on motorcycles and like slid
- 12:59Speaker 1: on pavements.
- 13:01Speaker 2: Like I'm fine, I'm.
- 13:02Speaker 1: Like, your leg is.
- 13:04Speaker 2: Like you already tee up. She's like, I don't care,
- 13:08Speaker 2: let me get on the skateboard. Don't get a score? Cool?
- 13:13Speaker 4: Did you mention that all three of you lived together,
- 13:15Speaker 4: So Danny and Madison are sisters and all three of
- 13:18Speaker 4: them lived together right, just on and off for your
- 13:21Speaker 4: friends to know, because I feel like that's a.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Yeah, Madison, Yeah, we're gonna be bopping in and out
- 13:25Speaker 1: of your birthing story just so you know. I first
- 13:31Speaker 1: moved out to la and Madison and I shared a bed,
- 13:34Speaker 1: and I remember that we wanted to get our bodies
- 13:36Speaker 1: on point, but we love to sleep in, so we
- 13:39Speaker 1: kept our phones out in the kitchen for the alarm
- 13:43Speaker 1: to go off. So that we basically had to get
- 13:45Speaker 1: out of the bed to turn them off and then
- 13:48Speaker 1: we just get back in bed. No, it was the dumbest,
- 13:51Speaker 1: like there was no drive, no motivation, No no drive,
- 13:55Speaker 1: no motivation. And I think it's after I moved. Didn't
- 13:58Speaker 1: you book all that stuff? Or was it before?
- 14:00Speaker 2: Yeah? Well I was always very responsible. I just wasn't.
- 14:03Speaker 2: I've never had the type of like hustle ambition. I
- 14:07Speaker 2: always was really lucky and I just did things because
- 14:09Speaker 2: I knew that it was like a process that you
- 14:11Speaker 2: have to go through to get and then I was responsible.
- 14:13Speaker 2: So like that was the extemp. I didn't have this
- 14:15Speaker 2: like fiery drive to win an oscar. Yeah, you know,
- 14:20Speaker 2: because it really mattered the like I just did not
- 14:24Speaker 2: give a shit. I like liked my acting classes because
- 14:27Speaker 2: I got to like explore my psyche.
- 14:30Speaker 1: You know.
- 14:30Speaker 2: It wasn't like I cared that much about character.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Work, right, Like you didn't care enough to sit down,
- 14:36Speaker 1: bring down a character really feel what they were.
- 14:39Speaker 2: The more I got involved with acting, the less I
- 14:41Speaker 2: cared about all that. But then there's the speaking, like
- 14:44Speaker 2: you and I have always loved speaking and kind of performing,
- 14:46Speaker 2: so like naturally like with what we're doing now that
- 14:49Speaker 2: was always fun.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that's why I started doing really on TV.
- 14:52Speaker 1: I was like, hold up, I get to entertain, but
- 14:55Speaker 1: just be me.
- 14:57Speaker 2: I don't have to remember any line.
- 14:59Speaker 1: No, you're gonna you have a camera in my face,
- 15:01Speaker 1: which is what I've always wanted, and I don't, like,
- 15:03Speaker 1: I just get to be myself.
- 15:06Speaker 2: She's like, you get to shove a camera in my face,
- 15:08Speaker 2: and for me, I'm like, oh my god, get the
- 15:10Speaker 2: camera away from me.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Which is so weird because I remember, even back in
- 15:14Speaker 1: the day, you got a call from like your manager
- 15:18Speaker 1: or something to audition for the O C Oh yeah.
- 15:22Speaker 1: I called my fraudulent manager and was like, I need
- 15:27Speaker 1: to audition, and with not even you actually had a coach,
- 15:33Speaker 1: like a normal case. Shut the fuck up.
- 15:36Speaker 2: We I'm like, I booked it. It's not like I
- 15:41Speaker 2: got pull.
- 15:43Speaker 1: You put work into it. And at this time, we
- 15:46Speaker 1: were taking an acting class together in Utah and you
- 15:49Speaker 1: missed to go on your callback and me I went
- 15:53Speaker 1: to the audition, didn't practice at all, sat in a
- 15:55Speaker 1: hotel room. I practiced by myself. But like coaching, OC
- 15:58Speaker 1: was the biggest show on television at this point in time,
- 16:02Speaker 1: not one minute of coaching. Me and my bronze fucking
- 16:07Speaker 1: cowboy boots that I got on retail drive, walked into
- 16:10Speaker 1: that audition, never got a callback. She got a call
- 16:14Speaker 1: back for everything.
- 16:15Speaker 2: And I would rarely, I like it, would procrastinate on
- 16:18Speaker 2: working on anything. I'd just like throw myself in front
- 16:21Speaker 2: of her.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Such a bitch.
- 16:23Speaker 2: But it's not like it worked out well. Like I
- 16:25Speaker 2: it did work out well. I just ups really freaked
- 16:28Speaker 2: me out. The pressure I buckled. That's where it's like
- 16:31Speaker 2: I hit that wall. When you did that shifted a
- 16:34Speaker 2: lot for me.
- 16:34Speaker 4: Was there someone Madison, someone we might know who you constantly?
- 16:38Speaker 4: Because if I understand correctly, actors get callbacks and there's
- 16:41Speaker 4: only a few of you, and sometimes people those actors
- 16:45Speaker 4: start to see the same people in those callbacks.
- 16:48Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Jennifer Laura. I used to audition with Jennifer Lawrence. I
- 16:52Speaker 2: went to a movie with her just stands because she
- 16:57Speaker 2: had just moved here. I had just moved here, and
- 16:58Speaker 2: we would we like would joke and kind of get
- 17:01Speaker 2: along in the waiting rooms, and then we were like
- 17:03Speaker 2: we should hang out, and we should go out and
- 17:06Speaker 2: hang out. So we went to the grove to see
- 17:07Speaker 2: a movie, and she showed up late and with her boyfriend.
- 17:12Speaker 2: I was like, well, this doesn't feel fun at all
- 17:14Speaker 2: for me. I don't know what this. I don't know
- 17:17Speaker 2: if you just needed time with your boy like I
- 17:18Speaker 2: don't know what that was. But we like saw the
- 17:20Speaker 2: movie and then I was just like, well, good to
- 17:23Speaker 2: see you, and left and then just never saw her again.
- 17:25Speaker 2: And then like her career shoot up, like Oscar winning actress. Meanwhile,
- 17:31Speaker 2: I'm like a bottle girl and like serving in freaking restaurants.
- 17:35Speaker 1: And then later in life, she went on Watch Rabins
- 17:36Speaker 1: Live and called me the sea word.
- 17:39Speaker 3: Did she apologize?
- 17:40Speaker 2: I forgot she did.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Because I went on to Twitter in a drunken stupor
- 17:44Speaker 1: and was like you fucking catch me outside, bitch, and like,
- 17:49Speaker 1: I'm about to go toes. I've never been in a
- 17:51Speaker 1: fight in my life, and what makes me think that
- 17:54Speaker 1: her security guard would even let me within five feet
- 17:56Speaker 1: of her to drag her? She did it. She sent
- 18:01Speaker 1: an apology email.
- 18:05Speaker 4: See I have so many questions about you guys when
- 18:07Speaker 4: you were younger, but I first can we.
- 18:09Speaker 1: I'm sorry her birthing story. It's just now I my
- 18:14Speaker 1: a off about it.
- 18:16Speaker 4: I'm so because up to the point, I just want
- 18:18Speaker 4: to hear the story because I want to know if
- 18:20Speaker 4: there's a way to combine them, combine your experience and
- 18:22Speaker 4: yours like a midwife, but also be at the hospital
- 18:25Speaker 4: in case something goes wrong.
- 18:26Speaker 2: But in certain states like no, no, you could do,
- 18:29Speaker 2: but it's easier. In California, it's a litt harder. They said.
- 18:31Speaker 2: The laws with that type of thing in the hospital's
- 18:33Speaker 2: work is like, no hospital is going to turn you
- 18:37Speaker 2: down if you need to get to the hospital.
- 18:39Speaker 1: But by the way, I think it's less about the hospital.
- 18:41Speaker 1: I think it's more about your obie. Like there were
- 18:43Speaker 1: my original one. I told her I'm eating my placenta
- 18:46Speaker 1: and she was like, I don't do that, so she
- 18:48Speaker 1: wouldn't work with the placenta eating company and she probably sells.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Them probably Oh god, She's like, no, they're mine. Oh
- 18:57Speaker 2: my god, I'm serious. That's what I mean. The aftermath
- 19:02Speaker 2: like mine, I was like, I wonder what they just
- 19:03Speaker 2: did with Did you eat it? No? I didn't, really,
- 19:06Speaker 2: I'm vegetarian. No really, I just was sticks by her.
- 19:12Speaker 1: It was well mine, we're put in capsules.
- 19:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I get it.
- 19:16Speaker 1: But my OBI, like the hospital is really like it's
- 19:19Speaker 1: really you and your OBI being on the same thing.
- 19:22Speaker 2: But that's the perfect thing. You have your midwife and
- 19:24Speaker 2: they can come in as you like you're support and
- 19:26Speaker 2: your outly hit and they know all the medical jargon
- 19:29Speaker 2: and so if you need someone to speak on behalf
- 19:31Speaker 2: for you and you're not like a super hospital medically person,
- 19:34Speaker 2: they can kind of well. And usually a lot of
- 19:35Speaker 2: midwives work with hospitals that work with them, like they
- 19:39Speaker 2: support each other, got it. There's a lot of obi's
- 19:42Speaker 2: that hate midwives because obviously they're they think they're taking
- 19:45Speaker 2: their business or whatever. They're hostile towards them because it
- 19:48Speaker 2: is the business.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Yeah, they're like, do you know how long I went
- 19:51Speaker 1: to medical school to do this fucking shit?
- 19:53Speaker 2: Right? Really? Yeah?
- 19:55Speaker 4: But where did was there any point because I know
- 19:58Speaker 4: you're you're getting back to their story, but I'm just curious,
- 20:00Speaker 4: was there any point before the labor that you're like, uh,
- 20:04Speaker 4: starting to feel like maybe I should not have a midwife,
- 20:07Speaker 4: or maybe I should go to the hospital.
- 20:09Speaker 3: What how did this guy?
- 20:10Speaker 2: I was I was committed. Listen. I didn't even pack
- 20:13Speaker 2: a hospital bag. I literally was like if I pack
- 20:16Speaker 2: a hospital bag. It means subconsciously, I have a I'm
- 20:19Speaker 2: going to go to the hospital. So I was just like,
- 20:22Speaker 2: I'm not even going to go there.
- 20:23Speaker 1: I mentally you thought you'd be I can do this.
- 20:25Speaker 2: I can do this. I I just visualizing. I felt
- 20:29Speaker 2: like I could do it manifesting visualizing.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Oh my god, Madison. So I get the call that
- 20:39Speaker 1: Danielle is in labor right, bathtub's blown up, waters in
- 20:42Speaker 1: the bathtub. She's laboring like a motherfucker. All right, Madison
- 20:46Speaker 1: is keeping me posted.
- 20:48Speaker 2: Because I'm kind of her doula.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Correct, Madie, I hires.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Her psychological She told me, She's like, I need you
- 20:54Speaker 2: no matter how bad the pain gets, I need you
- 20:56Speaker 2: to be there to like me, do not let me cave.
- 21:00Speaker 2: She was like, do not. I need you to be there, mom,
- 21:03Speaker 2: and are gonna try and get me to go to
- 21:05Speaker 2: the hospital. I need you to be there to tell
- 21:07Speaker 2: me to stick through it. And I was like, okay, Right.
- 21:10Speaker 4: So Nasim is Danny's husband, and that's actually a great question.
- 21:14Speaker 3: He was what side was he on?
- 21:17Speaker 2: He wanted her in the hospital, he wanted Yeah, he
- 21:19Speaker 2: was nervous from the get go of just just like
- 21:22Speaker 2: you've brought up like what if something happens. My midwife
- 21:25Speaker 2: actually made him feel really comfortable that if if I
- 21:28Speaker 2: was high risk, or if there was anything that was
- 21:31Speaker 2: abnormal in any of my checkups, she would send me
- 21:34Speaker 2: to her doctor if you know. She said that during labor,
- 21:38Speaker 2: if something wasn't right, she would know before it ever
- 21:41Speaker 2: got to the point of being dangerous. Okay, she would
- 21:44Speaker 2: send me. Okay, So, I mean they're they're super smart,
- 21:47Speaker 2: super I don't doubt that at all. And so she's like,
- 21:49Speaker 2: there's never been she's never had anything happen go wrong. Yeah,
- 21:53Speaker 2: you know, she's had to resuscitate babies because they come
- 21:56Speaker 2: out black and blue, but they're trained to do that, right,
- 21:59Speaker 2: So I felt I felt very safe with her.
- 22:03Speaker 1: Well, I get the call that she's laboring, and but
- 22:07Speaker 1: then I wake I wake up because I'm checking my
- 22:10Speaker 1: phone and at it was like midnight my time, maybe
- 22:14Speaker 1: one in the morning, two of us because okay, so
- 22:18Speaker 1: it was midnight, and Madison said, we're going to the hospital.
- 22:22Speaker 1: But by the way, not looking back, just because I
- 22:25Speaker 1: know I knew Danielle's plan, and I just sometimes when
- 22:30Speaker 1: we all have this plan in place and it doesn't
- 22:33Speaker 1: go accordingly. I it goes back to like we just
- 22:38Speaker 1: all kind of have to roll with the punches, like
- 22:40Speaker 1: life just is gonna happen, and this is the game plan.
- 22:44Speaker 1: And the most important thing was getting roam out safe.
- 22:46Speaker 1: Right obviously that was the end goal. But so but
- 22:54Speaker 1: during before you decided to go to the hospital at
- 22:57Speaker 1: two in the morning.
- 22:58Speaker 2: I labeled hardcore. She tried. She really, I literally spent
- 23:02Speaker 2: ten hours of back to back contractions. They were what
- 23:05Speaker 2: like a minute apart, a minute apart.
- 23:07Speaker 3: Did you push?
- 23:08Speaker 2: No, I never, because she only at home. She was
- 23:11Speaker 2: only got dilated up over ten hours. And I'll keep
- 23:15Speaker 2: this is the worst part, and this is the only
- 23:17Speaker 2: thing I feel like. No, there was a couple other things,
- 23:19Speaker 2: but that was the hardest part was I kept throwing up,
- 23:23Speaker 2: like literally twenty times in that whole time. I threw
- 23:27Speaker 2: up contract I'd throw up contract, I'd throw up. And
- 23:31Speaker 2: I always had heard that that's a good thing because
- 23:33Speaker 2: that means you're close. So I was like, shit, we're going,
- 23:37Speaker 2: we're getting there, We're getting there. In the middle, I
- 23:38Speaker 2: was like, you're only you're not going anywhere, tested me,
- 23:41Speaker 2: and She's like, your only reality, said she texted you. No,
- 23:45Speaker 2: she tested me, oh tested tested. She texted me. Ye,
- 23:48Speaker 2: she was doing this aver zoom. I was delivering the baby. Yeah,
- 23:53Speaker 2: she text me.
- 23:54Speaker 1: I was a dol.
- 23:56Speaker 2: Yeah. So ten hours and I literally had nothing left
- 24:00Speaker 2: in my stomach. I mean white, I had no energy.
- 24:03Speaker 2: I could barely even talk. The bat in my eyes.
- 24:06Speaker 2: The tub wasn't helping. At that point, she'd been I'd
- 24:08Speaker 2: get out of the tub, I'd go in the tub.
- 24:10Speaker 1: Is the tub warm?
- 24:11Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah it was warm.
- 24:13Speaker 4: Still your midwife is like, no, we got this.
- 24:15Speaker 2: She just supported me, okay, And so there was never
- 24:18Speaker 2: a point where she was like we need to go.
- 24:22Speaker 2: It was it was finally my my callway. She's just like,
- 24:25Speaker 2: I can't do this anymore, because she was like, we can.
- 24:28Speaker 2: If you really want to do this, we can do this.
- 24:31Speaker 2: But I'm just telling you we might like I can't
- 24:33Speaker 2: give you a timetable. You're not progressing. This could go
- 24:37Speaker 2: on as it is for another five hours. Oh my god,
- 24:40Speaker 2: you know, so it's like you just have to lay
- 24:42Speaker 2: out the reality. And then I was like, just like
- 24:44Speaker 2: to me, and she's like, I don't think I can.
- 24:46Speaker 2: And I think there was a moment where like I
- 24:47Speaker 2: was like, Okay, I'm gonna just get back in the
- 24:49Speaker 2: tub and see if I can just get mentally there right,
- 24:52Speaker 2: to see if I could just keep going. And I
- 24:56Speaker 2: got the tub and I was like, I'm gonna throw
- 24:58Speaker 2: off again, and I literally threw up again, and.
- 25:00Speaker 1: I was like, I can't do this anymore. Did you
- 25:02Speaker 1: throw up in the tub?
- 25:04Speaker 2: I'm sure you over that point and she had you
- 25:07Speaker 2: turned to the side to get in a different place, screamed,
- 25:11Speaker 2: and she yeah, it was horrible, but like the back
- 25:14Speaker 2: to back contractions, like where you don't get a break.
- 25:17Speaker 1: No, I can't even imagine. No, I mean, I know
- 25:19Speaker 1: how I am with period crams. I'm like, give me
- 25:21Speaker 1: an epidural.
- 25:22Speaker 2: It was the most excruciating pain I have ever been
- 25:25Speaker 2: in my entire life.
- 25:27Speaker 3: So you're like, I gotta go.
- 25:29Speaker 2: She's so she's she looks at me at one point
- 25:31Speaker 2: and she's like, I don't think I can do this,
- 25:33Speaker 2: and everyone's looking to Danny to make the decision, like
- 25:37Speaker 2: we can go to the hospital, and she's like, I
- 25:39Speaker 2: can't do this. I was like, let's get you the hospital,
- 25:41Speaker 2: and like, just let's go. No more back and forth
- 25:45Speaker 2: like something it's not something's not progressing for a reason, totally,
- 25:49Speaker 2: let's go, like this is unnecessary at this point. And
- 25:52Speaker 2: my midwife looks at my husband and goes go grab
- 25:54Speaker 2: the hospital back and we don't see looks at me.
- 25:59Speaker 2: He goes what pack and I'm like, oh, you don't
- 26:01Speaker 2: have one. Just get in the car. Go all rights
- 26:06Speaker 2: go two o'clock, two am. Our mom my mom whips
- 26:10Speaker 2: into mama bear gear and were just grabbing stuff and
- 26:13Speaker 2: I was just like grabbing the hospital. We'll get stuff later,
- 26:15Speaker 2: like let's just go. So car contractions are the worst. Really, yes,
- 26:22Speaker 2: I'm like trying to rub her back or do something.
- 26:24Speaker 2: Don't touch me. I didn't want to touch. I just
- 26:28Speaker 2: was like trying to breathe through them. I probably had
- 26:31Speaker 2: like six in the car, and I was just like,
- 26:33Speaker 2: I was done.
- 26:34Speaker 4: Do you go to the er.
- 26:36Speaker 2: I'm still labor labor drop into the When we first
- 26:39Speaker 2: went to the er and there was like a gunshot
- 26:41Speaker 2: before us, and they were like We're like, we have
- 26:43Speaker 2: a woman in labor, and they're like, we have a
- 26:44Speaker 2: guy that just got shot. Deal with your labor somewhere else, like.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Deliberate, there's like your apartment for you.
- 26:51Speaker 2: And so we were all playing the car again and
- 26:53Speaker 2: go to a different door.
- 26:54Speaker 3: So it's whatever doctor's working.
- 26:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I on that and not they had midwives on.
- 26:59Speaker 2: So there was but my midwife who came with me
- 27:02Speaker 2: and stuck with me the whole time, so she was
- 27:04Speaker 2: my advocate. And I was still like, listen at this point,
- 27:07Speaker 2: just give me the me the epidural epidel.
- 27:10Speaker 1: How quick did it kick in?
- 27:12Speaker 2: Well, so you get there and they have to make
- 27:14Speaker 2: sure your blood's okay. So that took an hour. No,
- 27:18Speaker 2: I had to wait like an hour to get it.
- 27:20Speaker 2: So that's why they gave me the laughing guests. They
- 27:22Speaker 2: were like, you look like you're gonna die. So here's
- 27:25Speaker 2: some gas.
- 27:25Speaker 1: And did it help a little bit?
- 27:27Speaker 2: It got me. It got me through that.
- 27:29Speaker 4: So they zip you into a room. There's an open room.
- 27:32Speaker 3: I guess. Okay, so there's an open room.
- 27:34Speaker 4: Yes, your family gets to come in, Yes, and then
- 27:37Speaker 4: just you meet your doctor.
- 27:39Speaker 2: Yeah, but you're dealing with it. You're dealing with like
- 27:41Speaker 2: most of the nurses. Nurses most of the time.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Ok. Yes, the only time the doctor pops in when
- 27:46Speaker 1: the baby's coming, or she.
- 27:47Speaker 2: Comes in and introduces herself. I'm the doctor on call.
- 27:51Speaker 2: And then I really know what you're gonna get With nurses.
- 27:53Speaker 2: They can even be amazing and they're awesome and you're like, oh,
- 27:56Speaker 2: thank god, or they're.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Just like rude because they see like a lot of baby,
- 28:00Speaker 1: Like your birds is not robotic almost it's the most
- 28:04Speaker 1: special day of your entire life. And they've delivered like
- 28:06Speaker 1: fourteen before you're came.
- 28:09Speaker 4: So immediately you're like, epidural, epidural, and it was glorious.
- 28:15Speaker 4: How are you I know he's got the baby right now?
- 28:21Speaker 2: Relief?
- 28:21Speaker 3: Okay, he was happy to see her get some.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Like I was in tears at one point. Yeah, he
- 28:28Speaker 2: was crying. It was rough. It was really rough. I
- 28:32Speaker 2: was like this, you asked for this?
- 28:37Speaker 3: How quick did the baby come?
- 28:39Speaker 2: After? A quick quick? So I was still still determined
- 28:43Speaker 2: to have a vaginal Did they give you putocin?
- 28:45Speaker 1: To?
- 28:46Speaker 2: Like yes? So it gets even worse, so I mean
- 28:50Speaker 2: not horribly worse, but so they say, okay, we got
- 28:53Speaker 2: the epidural. They're like, your water still has not broken,
- 28:57Speaker 2: which I thought it broke because come to find out,
- 29:00Speaker 2: I just kept peeing my pants when I wasn't in
- 29:03Speaker 2: the tub. I was like, and that's got to be
- 29:05Speaker 2: my water and I got to the hospital and they're like, no,
- 29:08Speaker 2: your water's still intact.
- 29:09Speaker 1: So I was like, I've just been urinating all over myself.
- 29:12Speaker 2: All over myself. That's cool. At this point, I didn't care,
- 29:15Speaker 2: so it was fine. But so they're like, all right,
- 29:17Speaker 2: we can either break it now and try and get
- 29:19Speaker 2: things going, or we can let you sleep for a
- 29:22Speaker 2: little bit because you do look like you're going to die.
- 29:25Speaker 2: So I was like, let me sleep, like I need
- 29:27Speaker 2: to sleep. So I slept for a couple hours and
- 29:30Speaker 2: they'll be like, you'll be dilated by morning. Probably, it'll
- 29:32Speaker 2: probably can you're going to be ready to you're still
- 29:34Speaker 2: contracting all of that. So I slept for a few hours.
- 29:38Speaker 2: They came back in and they're like, your water's still
- 29:40Speaker 2: not breaking, so let's break it for you. So they
- 29:42Speaker 2: broke it. And did you feel it?
- 29:46Speaker 3: Because I heard that's painful?
- 29:47Speaker 2: Is that not? She had?
- 29:49Speaker 1: She had the epidural.
- 29:51Speaker 2: It was glorious.
- 29:52Speaker 1: They do put like a hook up in there and
- 29:54Speaker 1: go and do it. Yeah, but you don't know what
- 29:56Speaker 1: the fuck is going on. You're numb from the waisted.
- 29:59Speaker 2: Yeah, it was great. You seem looked over at the
- 30:01Speaker 2: monitor and I was like do you feel that you're
- 30:03Speaker 2: having a contraction. I was like, no, I feel good.
- 30:06Speaker 2: This is fun.
- 30:07Speaker 4: So they break it and the baby shoots out no okay.
- 30:10Speaker 2: No I wish so then so like all right, so
- 30:15Speaker 2: we're gonna let this see how this goes. And I
- 30:18Speaker 2: think it was like a few more hours later and
- 30:20Speaker 2: they're like, you're still not progressing anything, Like yeah, we
- 30:25Speaker 2: need to let's give you some potocin, which is the
- 30:28Speaker 2: uh fake.
- 30:30Speaker 1: It kick starts you into to contract it.
- 30:33Speaker 3: Did you get it? Okay?
- 30:35Speaker 2: And that's like one thing I did not want to
- 30:37Speaker 2: give me all of it? All right, when I give birth,
- 30:39Speaker 2: you give me all that shit. Do not do this. Yeah.
- 30:42Speaker 2: But I was like at this point again, like you
- 30:44Speaker 2: just have to surrender, And I was like, yep, just
- 30:46Speaker 2: go for it. So I started contracting more and more,
- 30:49Speaker 2: and every time i'd have a contraction, my baby's heart
- 30:53Speaker 2: rate would just drop and nurses would come running in
- 30:58Speaker 2: because it would get really really low, and me with
- 31:02Speaker 2: no energy because I still haven't eaten. They'd have like me,
- 31:06Speaker 2: flip over to my side or flip over to the other.
- 31:08Speaker 1: Keep in mind her light, she's numb from the waist down,
- 31:10Speaker 1: and just with.
- 31:11Speaker 2: Chords, like I have to show you some pictures. They're crazy.
- 31:14Speaker 2: So then at one point they're like, we need you
- 31:16Speaker 2: to get on your hands and knees on.
- 31:18Speaker 1: All fours like a dog numb.
- 31:20Speaker 2: My heart is okay, And they'd have to like help
- 31:24Speaker 2: me pick my body up to turn to try and
- 31:27Speaker 2: get his heart rate to go back up because it
- 31:29Speaker 2: would get dangerously low. And at one point I had
- 31:31Speaker 2: like five nurses in there like trying to move my body.
- 31:35Speaker 2: So then they were like, hey, we need to give
- 31:37Speaker 2: you a drug to stop this potocin because he's not
- 31:39Speaker 2: liking it. So they give me this drug, and all
- 31:41Speaker 2: of a sudden, I was like, I don't feel good,
- 31:45Speaker 2: and then I started throwing up. So this drug like
- 31:47Speaker 2: literally made me sick. I don't even remember what it
- 31:49Speaker 2: was called, but it stopped my contractions but made me
- 31:52Speaker 2: super sick, so again I started throwing it.
- 31:55Speaker 4: Are you furious at this point because you didn't want
- 31:57Speaker 4: that medicine?
- 31:58Speaker 3: And then they made you take it?
- 31:59Speaker 1: And he surrendered at that.
- 32:00Speaker 2: I just I don't know what's going on at this point, Okay,
- 32:04Speaker 2: I'm just trying to be pleasant with myself and right
- 32:09Speaker 2: trying to and then the nurses are it's just like
- 32:12Speaker 2: a waiting game. It's like a time thing, you know,
- 32:14Speaker 2: and it's like okay, And that's when it was kind
- 32:16Speaker 2: of Then they checked me and they were like, hey,
- 32:18Speaker 2: you're you're at like a seven or an eight. You're
- 32:21Speaker 2: still not ready to push, so we're going to just
- 32:24Speaker 2: like right the out happen. So we're gonna let it
- 32:28Speaker 2: ride for a little bit longer. Finally they come back
- 32:31Speaker 2: in a few more hours later and they're like, we're
- 32:33Speaker 2: going to give me another hit of tosin see if
- 32:34Speaker 2: we can get this baby out. And I was like, okay,
- 32:37Speaker 2: let's do it again and again. Anytime he would he
- 32:40Speaker 2: would contract like meaning tried to come down.
- 32:43Speaker 1: Because the contraction is the baby working his way to
- 32:46Speaker 1: the birth.
- 32:46Speaker 2: Trying to get I didn't know that, but that's good
- 32:49Speaker 2: to know. Yeah, the body is an incredible He would
- 32:52Speaker 2: drop again every contraction, so again another cycle of the
- 32:57Speaker 2: drug that stopped the contractions that made me sick.
- 33:00Speaker 1: I started king up.
- 33:01Speaker 2: I'm like the two rounds of that and I was
- 33:04Speaker 2: just like handling it like a champion. She's just what
- 33:07Speaker 2: are you doing there? There's so many nurses and then
- 33:11Speaker 2: you also we would have to alternate because they didn't
- 33:13Speaker 2: want too many people. So then it was like, I
- 33:15Speaker 2: don't even remember we'd have to alternate coming in and out,
- 33:18Speaker 2: and you're updating Lalla. I'm updating Lalla, okay, kind of
- 33:21Speaker 2: updating everybody in our family, and she's just looking like
- 33:25Speaker 2: and she's like no. I was like, I'm gonna have
- 33:29Speaker 2: enough energy to push like I didn't. I didn't. So
- 33:34Speaker 2: the nurse or the after like six nurses were in
- 33:36Speaker 2: my room. They finally are like, we're gonna call the doctor.
- 33:39Speaker 2: So she comes in and she's like, here's the thing.
- 33:41Speaker 2: We really do feel like he's got something going like
- 33:45Speaker 2: in his way from coming down, which is why he's
- 33:48Speaker 2: having He's becoming stressed anytime he tries to get down.
- 33:52Speaker 2: He's trying just so hard to come into the world,
- 33:55Speaker 2: and he just couldn't he just get hitting something. So
- 33:58Speaker 2: my doctor was like, we can keep doing this, but
- 34:01Speaker 2: you're not accelerating anymore, and it's getting kind of close
- 34:06Speaker 2: to the point of like we need to get him out.
- 34:08Speaker 2: He's stressed in there.
- 34:09Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:11Speaker 2: So so it was again my choice because the beautiful
- 34:15Speaker 2: hospital I went to, she had an emotional moment when
- 34:18Speaker 2: they just they selected the woman. They don't like rush
- 34:21Speaker 2: you into a c section because they want to. They
- 34:24Speaker 2: really gave me the opportunity to, like, I want to
- 34:27Speaker 2: keep going or I was just like, fuck it, let's
- 34:31Speaker 2: just get this baby out. And I had to surrender
- 34:33Speaker 2: to that because that was like my worst case scenario
- 34:37Speaker 2: was the section.
- 34:41Speaker 4: Did your midwife have an opinion?
- 34:43Speaker 2: She was kind of like something, the midwife, there's no
- 34:48Speaker 2: reason why he shouldn't be something something, something's going on.
- 34:53Speaker 1: And it was the umbilical cord was wrapped around his
- 34:55Speaker 1: knead and his head had and his foot around and
- 35:00Speaker 1: round like this way.
- 35:01Speaker 2: Yeah, this chord around the top of his head was
- 35:05Speaker 2: in the way of the servant or right at the cervix,
- 35:09Speaker 2: so anytime he tried, it would pull him back up.
- 35:13Speaker 2: I think if I would have waited, it would have
- 35:14Speaker 2: turned into an emergency. I think it would have too.
- 35:17Speaker 1: And this is why, like, looking at it now, because
- 35:20Speaker 1: we know he's here and healthy, we can laugh because
- 35:23Speaker 1: it's like we make plans and God laughs. But it
- 35:26Speaker 1: was like, in that point in time, you just want
- 35:31Speaker 1: the kid.
- 35:31Speaker 2: You just have to surrender.
- 35:33Speaker 1: Well, the mom too, right, because there's a lot of
- 35:37Speaker 1: moms who you know, it starts affecting their health. And
- 35:41Speaker 1: that was just like it was.
- 35:43Speaker 2: It was crazy and I don't like look back and
- 35:46Speaker 2: like poor me, like I'm upset about the way things
- 35:49Speaker 2: turned out, Like I have the perfect baby and my
- 35:52Speaker 2: delivery was exactly the way it was. Both. The doctor
- 35:55Speaker 2: was so chic. She came in and she put everybody
- 35:58Speaker 2: at peace. She was like it was like, yes, she
- 36:01Speaker 2: gets to do whatever it is going to go down.
- 36:03Speaker 4: That's beautiful because you didn't want this experience that you
- 36:06Speaker 4: could have had an asshole doctor.
- 36:08Speaker 3: They exist, but you had.
- 36:09Speaker 2: A beautiful she is really I don't.
- 36:12Speaker 4: So what see section do they like Russian? And then
- 36:16Speaker 4: there's like tools.
- 36:17Speaker 1: I don't think it was emergency at that point.
- 36:19Speaker 2: Okay, it was calm. Pieces soon got to go in
- 36:23Speaker 2: the room with me. I didn't feel a single thing.
- 36:26Speaker 2: It's very quick and it's very like you just feel pressure.
- 36:30Speaker 2: You don't film cutting you open, but you feel like
- 36:33Speaker 2: them like pushing the baby out. Right, they'll like push
- 36:36Speaker 2: it at the top of your stomach. I think, to
- 36:38Speaker 2: push him out and you have like a tarp, right,
- 36:42Speaker 2: so like while they're cutting you open, nobody like to
- 36:44Speaker 2: see him. Who's sitting next to me. He can't see him,
- 36:47Speaker 2: he can't see over there, like them actually cutting me open.
- 36:50Speaker 1: No, there's like it.
- 36:51Speaker 2: But then they asked me, do you want to see
- 36:53Speaker 2: him when we pull him out? So yeah, so I
- 36:56Speaker 2: was like, yeah, I want to see it, like I
- 36:58Speaker 2: want as much experience during this as I can get.
- 37:00Speaker 2: So I literally like put my head up and watched
- 37:04Speaker 2: them like pull him out of me.
- 37:06Speaker 1: Oh, that's so, it was.
- 37:08Speaker 2: It was really cool.
- 37:09Speaker 3: I didn't realize. I didn't realize.
- 37:11Speaker 4: I thought they pulled him out and they rushed them
- 37:13Speaker 4: on my phone to clean him up.
- 37:14Speaker 2: They do, they do. But they said, do you want
- 37:17Speaker 2: to see him first?
- 37:17Speaker 1: And I said, yeah, so he didn't go directly onto
- 37:20Speaker 1: your chest.
- 37:20Speaker 4: No, that's I don't think you can after a s second.
- 37:23Speaker 1: Not after a second.
- 37:24Speaker 2: They have there's some doctor, there's some hospitals now that
- 37:26Speaker 2: will do it. Yeah, but no, this was my first,
- 37:30Speaker 2: my first glance at him, and it's still like kind
- 37:32Speaker 2: of a she's hard. Memory was a little hormone. Yeah.
- 37:35Speaker 2: She showed me photos and she's like, I'm so, it's
- 37:37Speaker 2: still really hard to see the world. That's how I
- 37:39Speaker 2: can remember this. I saw him, But that's how I
- 37:42Speaker 2: first saw him.
- 37:42Speaker 1: Wait, what's wrong plastic?
- 37:44Speaker 2: It's reallastic.
- 37:45Speaker 4: Okay, so she's showing a photo that is the baby
- 37:49Speaker 4: through the plastic.
- 37:51Speaker 1: Oh so gorgeous.
- 37:54Speaker 2: Thank you, but that was and I'm bawling. I'm just like,
- 37:56Speaker 2: of course here every.
- 37:58Speaker 3: Kids see, I think this is a beautiful photo. Really,
- 38:01Speaker 3: Oh my god. I got Yes, yes.
- 38:03Speaker 1: I do because.
- 38:04Speaker 2: It's sad because of what I wanted. But again, I'm
- 38:07Speaker 2: learning to just let it go.
- 38:10Speaker 1: But here's the fun The funniest part about it all
- 38:13Speaker 1: is I asked her, would you ever do a home
- 38:15Speaker 1: birth and birth again? She was like, I will never
- 38:20Speaker 1: ever take me straight to a hospital to give birth.
- 38:24Speaker 2: I will never ask my husband for a home birth
- 38:26Speaker 2: ever again in my entire life. I and I was
- 38:30Speaker 2: number one advocate for it. I know, and your experience everyone, Yeah,
- 38:34Speaker 2: it's it's there's so many.
- 38:37Speaker 1: Things, right, we all live our lives due to the
- 38:40Speaker 1: experiences that we have personally had through.
- 38:44Speaker 2: Yeah with everything.
- 38:47Speaker 1: I don't fuck with that because I've been through this.
- 38:50Speaker 1: So it's hard when you're trying to tell people why
- 38:53Speaker 1: you pick to do certain things because you're constantly coming
- 38:57Speaker 1: from a place that you don't know. Because I've curienced it,
- 39:01Speaker 1: you know.
- 39:02Speaker 2: You wouldn't this this is the thing will realm right.
- 39:06Speaker 2: It's like our mom wanted her to just have a
- 39:10Speaker 2: nice birth in a hospital, right. Dane was a C section,
- 39:14Speaker 2: and then my mom had a baby every single way,
- 39:16Speaker 2: a natural one. She's like never and then epidural babies,
- 39:19Speaker 2: and she's like, just do it, just do it. But
- 39:21Speaker 2: Danielle was so no, my decision is to do it
- 39:24Speaker 2: this way. And so it's like and I would want
- 39:26Speaker 2: you just got to let people do what they want
- 39:28Speaker 2: to do. I would watch away YouTube homebirth videos and
- 39:31Speaker 2: stuff and they were just so beautiful and you're like,
- 39:34Speaker 2: I can do that, Yeah, do that. But it just
- 39:37Speaker 2: mind fucked right, But you know what it literally, I
- 39:40Speaker 2: don't know. I don't know if like women's bodies hand labor,
- 39:45Speaker 2: and I'm sure they do handle labor differently. There's so
- 39:48Speaker 2: many different factors, of course, and that's why like there
- 39:52Speaker 2: is a shout out to women that do it natural
- 39:54Speaker 2: because because it is beautiful.
- 39:56Speaker 1: But Danielle, I think you, I honestly think you could
- 39:59Speaker 1: have done it naturally, but there was something something was
- 40:03Speaker 1: keeping him inside. Yeah, but there was nothing that you
- 40:06Speaker 1: could have done.
- 40:07Speaker 2: And you have nothing to prove. No, but no again,
- 40:10Speaker 2: Like I don't ever want to go through that experience again,
- 40:12Speaker 2: so do you.
- 40:13Speaker 1: Yeah, just feel like because my labor experience, I wish
- 40:17Speaker 1: that every single day I could do it again over
- 40:20Speaker 1: and over again. Like if I could literally just do
- 40:23Speaker 1: that every single day like Groundhog's Day, Yeah, I would
- 40:26Speaker 1: do it.
- 40:27Speaker 2: That's amazing. That's like a really happy story.
- 40:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I know. And that's why I feel badly because
- 40:31Speaker 1: everyone that's pregnant, I'm like, it was gonna be amazing.
- 40:35Speaker 1: You're not gonna feel anything. They just slip right out.
- 40:38Speaker 1: And again it's because ocean kind of like I rolled
- 40:42Speaker 1: into the hospital at eight a m. I was a
- 40:44Speaker 1: little hungry, so they were like, we're not going to
- 40:46Speaker 1: do anything then until you eat. So at eleven is
- 40:48Speaker 1: when they started like the laboring process and inducing me.
- 40:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 40:53Speaker 1: And then at like ten they broke my water and
- 40:55Speaker 1: they were like, we're gonna clean you up because the
- 40:59Speaker 1: bed is soaking wet. I was like, I don't even
- 41:01Speaker 1: feel it. I'm so tired, Yeah, so just leave it.
- 41:05Speaker 1: So I just like slept in water all night and
- 41:08Speaker 1: then at six am they come in stick the fingers
- 41:10Speaker 1: up and they were like in and out all night,
- 41:12Speaker 1: obviously checking, you know, finger banging me to check my cervix.
- 41:16Speaker 1: And at six they were like, oh, the head is
- 41:19Speaker 1: we're there, and they said give us a test. Push.
- 41:22Speaker 1: So I did one little and they go, stop, do
- 41:25Speaker 1: not do anything. I'm looking at the head. We got
- 41:28Speaker 1: to get the doctor in here, so I had to
- 41:30Speaker 1: wait for the doctor. The doctor's like, oh, yeah, that's
- 41:32Speaker 1: the head. Yeah, we're doing it.
- 41:34Speaker 2: Here we go.
- 41:35Speaker 1: I'm sitting there pushing and I'm like, am I doing it?
- 41:38Speaker 2: You're doing it.
- 41:39Speaker 1: I'm looking at her. It was like seven pushes and
- 41:41Speaker 1: she was out.
- 41:42Speaker 2: How that's beautiful.
- 41:45Speaker 1: I know. That's why I feel so bad. I shouldn't
- 41:48Speaker 1: tell anyone about my birthing experience.
- 41:50Speaker 2: No, it's they all get here and they're all it's
- 41:53Speaker 2: it's beautiful.
- 41:55Speaker 1: I did this to Danielle. I projected, yeah, okay, he's beautiful,
- 41:59Speaker 1: he's perfect healthy.
- 42:01Speaker 2: Oh he was healthy right, there was healthy, nothing wrong,
- 42:05Speaker 2: So everything's.
- 42:06Speaker 3: Experience is different.
- 42:07Speaker 2: He had a scowl when he came out, because I
- 42:09Speaker 2: think he was the little you have a scowl.
- 42:11Speaker 1: He got my scowl, but well he was like, babes,
- 42:13Speaker 1: you're trying to make me give birth at home, and
- 42:15Speaker 1: I'm all like I need to know by this umbilical
- 42:17Speaker 1: cord and shit.
- 42:19Speaker 2: Oh yeah it was traumatic. I look back and I'm like,
- 42:23Speaker 2: fucking birth is hard.
- 42:24Speaker 1: And I wasn't expecting that women are superheroes.
- 42:27Speaker 4: It's wild to think women used to do it at home. Yeah,
- 42:30Speaker 4: Like there was probably so many babies that had to
- 42:33Speaker 4: pass away because you didn't.
- 42:34Speaker 2: Have an option. Yeah, you didn't even have the option
- 42:37Speaker 2: to have a different you know. It was like it
- 42:39Speaker 2: is what it is, here we go and you had
- 42:41Speaker 2: no way to even know what it was going to
- 42:43Speaker 2: feel like be like all of it. You just had
- 42:46Speaker 2: to fight through it, which I thought I could do.
- 42:48Speaker 1: But is it weird, Madison, to be like, because you've
- 42:51Speaker 1: obviously known me since childhood, your sister, you've known your
- 42:54Speaker 1: whole life, is it weird to be like, Wow, these
- 42:57Speaker 1: people are like responsible for human being.
- 43:00Speaker 2: Yeah, kind of, because you guys were such degenerates also
- 43:03Speaker 2: for so you know, but it's so beautiful to see
- 43:06Speaker 2: the growth and like the next chapter because some people
- 43:10Speaker 2: like seriously just continue that party and they just like
- 43:15Speaker 2: stay in that and it's like so to see it
- 43:18Speaker 2: go from like oh wild wild, free spirits, just pushing
- 43:23Speaker 2: the limits. We were wild, yes, and then now you
- 43:26Speaker 2: guys are like the most amazing mothers mail mill. We're
- 43:30Speaker 2: doing it, d we're doing it.
- 43:32Speaker 1: Wait, what do you mean we were degenerates? I thought
- 43:35Speaker 1: we were fun.
- 43:36Speaker 2: Well, I mean people who get shit face and fun.
- 43:39Speaker 2: It's degenerate behavior. It's fun. But it's like you're not.
- 43:44Speaker 2: Like you actually had to have like a serious conversation
- 43:47Speaker 2: with them when you two would do your edibles, and
- 43:50Speaker 2: then she'd be like, Danny, we're not fun. You guys
- 43:54Speaker 2: aren't fun. Well, you would get angry, and then you
- 43:56Speaker 2: guys would be like writing. You'd be in the same realm,
- 43:58Speaker 2: and then no one else would be in that realm
- 44:00Speaker 2: with you, and then you just there was no consideration
- 44:04Speaker 2: for any organization or rules. Let's say like we had
- 44:07Speaker 2: to like take a car somewhere. It was like babysitting.
- 44:11Speaker 2: It was hell. Then you're trying to like have fun,
- 44:14Speaker 2: so we were you. Yeah, you guys had fun.
- 44:18Speaker 3: Why didn't you get on that realm?
- 44:19Speaker 1: You just chose.
- 44:22Speaker 2: In New York But I was having my own fun
- 44:24Speaker 2: in New Yorkers. Yeah, but I was, you know, I
- 44:26Speaker 2: was like that was a whole other chapter for me,
- 44:29Speaker 2: there was this one this.
- 44:32Speaker 1: Oh no, because she wants to like places blame that.
- 44:36Speaker 1: We were like pure debauchery.
- 44:38Speaker 4: All the time.
- 44:39Speaker 2: It is my past going to come up right now.
- 44:41Speaker 1: Yeah it isoat the sailboat. No, this is on the
- 44:46Speaker 1: rooftop at eplb.
- 44:48Speaker 2: Oh yeah.
- 44:49Speaker 1: We go to brunch. We get wasted. At brunch, we
- 44:53Speaker 1: meet this older couple. And when I say older, they're
- 44:56Speaker 1: in their seventies, old late sixties, early seventies, all right,
- 45:01Speaker 1: And we're like we're were. We become best friends with them.
- 45:04Speaker 1: We go to this rooftop, we continue drinking.
- 45:06Speaker 2: They come with us.
- 45:07Speaker 1: They come with us, the old couple.
- 45:08Speaker 2: They're like, we want to hang out with you guys.
- 45:10Speaker 1: Yeah, they come with us. We're like, come on, Madison
- 45:13Speaker 1: is wasted to the point where like she starts crawling
- 45:17Speaker 1: in the No, no, this is not how it went down.
- 45:19Speaker 1: How are you going to tell me how it went down?
- 45:22Speaker 2: Why did I start doing that?
- 45:23Speaker 1: All right? Why did you start crawling through this?
- 45:24Speaker 2: Because my sister got nasty with me? Oh I did,
- 45:29Speaker 2: And yes, we gotten a little bit of a tiff
- 45:32Speaker 2: and you said something. I was like, fine, I'm just
- 45:34Speaker 2: gonna do what you guys do. I'm gonna do whatever
- 45:37Speaker 2: I want. I don't remember this, and so I started exactly.
- 45:42Speaker 2: So I started just doing whatever, and I was just
- 45:45Speaker 2: I don't know what I was doing. Well back five,
- 45:47Speaker 2: I committed to proving that point.
- 45:49Speaker 1: It back is my point.
- 45:51Speaker 2: And the bouncer comes over to me. I'm like, what
- 45:53Speaker 2: do you need to do?
- 45:54Speaker 1: Kick me out? He kicked all of us out.
- 45:56Speaker 2: I was like, fine, I'm ready to go home anyway.
- 45:57Speaker 2: I'm tired.
- 45:58Speaker 1: Okay, So we are elderly friends get kicked out as well.
- 46:03Speaker 1: They have to come with us, so they I don't know.
- 46:07Speaker 1: In the midst of my like edible and vodka fog,
- 46:11Speaker 1: the old couple comes up to me and they're like,
- 46:13Speaker 1: they're not letting us leave. So I go up to
- 46:17Speaker 1: the valet and I was like, you have to let
- 46:19Speaker 1: them leave. Give them their car, like they just want
- 46:23Speaker 1: to go home, and he goes, they're not okay. I said,
- 46:28Speaker 1: they're fine, they're like old people, and he goes, well,
- 46:32Speaker 1: they just crash their Porsche into the cement wall. So
- 46:37Speaker 1: I'm gonna say no, they're not okay. I was like,
- 46:40Speaker 1: oh bye, Bob, and man, see gotta run. That's the
- 46:45Speaker 1: weirdest fucking nice.
- 46:47Speaker 2: But that's weird, degenerate, that's not like stand up behavior
- 46:53Speaker 2: in a society. These are people.
- 46:55Speaker 1: Fine, how old are you?
- 46:57Speaker 3: You were just like last year?
- 47:00Speaker 1: No, yeah, we were young. We were in our early twenties.
- 47:03Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm dying because you've told I don't know if
- 47:07Speaker 4: you've told the story on the podcast about when there
- 47:10Speaker 4: was a guy and Danielle was yelling through the man.
- 47:15Speaker 1: It was James Kennedy.
- 47:16Speaker 3: You have to sell that on the podcast.
- 47:19Speaker 2: But Danielle had rage. Danielle would when she would drink,
- 47:23Speaker 2: we would call her Bianca because she turned into this
- 47:26Speaker 2: like angry. She was dealing with heart like the men
- 47:29Speaker 2: in Los Angeles and being heartbroken and then just drinking
- 47:32Speaker 2: and taking it all all out on us.
- 47:34Speaker 1: Yeah, she would get mean.
- 47:36Speaker 2: Yeah, but look at her now, look at the gross
- 47:38Speaker 2: an angel.
- 47:39Speaker 1: No, but unconditional love. There we go full circlove. No,
- 47:43Speaker 1: there was a night that I was we were out
- 47:45Speaker 1: and about Danielle was I got sent home early. I
- 47:48Speaker 1: sent your ass home early.
- 47:50Speaker 2: They I got sent home a couple of different times.
- 47:52Speaker 1: Yeah, me and Tiffany put your ass in an uber
- 47:54Speaker 1: and said.
- 47:55Speaker 2: I was like I was like, crying at the club
- 47:58Speaker 2: was a bit.
- 47:59Speaker 1: We were on Sunset Boulevard.
- 48:01Speaker 2: It's because of men. It was because of a man.
- 48:03Speaker 2: Oh no, crying at the club.
- 48:06Speaker 1: She was the club and I was like, I'm not
- 48:08Speaker 1: drawing to go home, so I would never do this.
- 48:12Speaker 2: Now.
- 48:12Speaker 1: Just put my friend wasted and so upset into an
- 48:16Speaker 1: uber and be like get her home safe. But I did.
- 48:19Speaker 2: I got home safe.
- 48:20Speaker 1: You fell out of the window and smacked your head
- 48:24Speaker 1: on the concrete.
- 48:26Speaker 2: I'm okay, though, see pain tolerance, you guys. She's like,
- 48:29Speaker 2: when I got hit by a car, I didn't even
- 48:31Speaker 2: feel it.
- 48:31Speaker 3: But before this.
- 48:32Speaker 1: Happens, I invite James over and we're talking at the
- 48:37Speaker 1: Olympic apartment and she storms out of her bedroom. Danielle does,
- 48:42Speaker 1: I was already asleep. You were asleep, passed out, but
- 48:47Speaker 1: she gets up and being loud.
- 48:49Speaker 2: They were being loud and I was trying to sleep.
- 48:51Speaker 1: Yeah, and yells down the hall, shut the fuck up.
- 48:56Speaker 1: And I look at James and I was like, all right, Danielle,
- 48:59Speaker 1: go to bed, go to bed. And she storms towards
- 49:03Speaker 1: me and I like kind of show her off and
- 49:05Speaker 1: take James to my room. She puts her foot where
- 49:08Speaker 1: the door is to stop it. I was like, get
- 49:10Speaker 1: the fuck out of my space. She proceeds, I lock
- 49:14Speaker 1: the door, proceeds to go into her bedroom and we
- 49:16Speaker 1: share a vent.
- 49:17Speaker 2: Right, we share an event.
- 49:19Speaker 1: While event is screaming through the vent, she's a whore?
- 49:25Speaker 1: Wat was a whore? James ask her who she had
- 49:28Speaker 1: in her bed last night? Ask her horror, and then
- 49:33Speaker 1: James and are looking at each other and I'm like,
- 49:36Speaker 1: I'm not a whore. I'm just someone that's having fun.
- 49:39Speaker 1: I'm just actually free. I always use all.
- 49:43Speaker 4: It's screaming through the vent, that is, I had to
- 49:47Speaker 4: get the last word.
- 49:47Speaker 1: That's so fucking funny. And you hearing the echo. No,
- 49:51Speaker 1: I could hear it through the ventrickety like janky apartment.
- 49:55Speaker 1: And then it's just like dead silent. I wake up
- 49:58Speaker 1: the next morning, I go in her room and I
- 50:00Speaker 1: stand over her with my hands on my hips, and
- 50:04Speaker 1: she goes, good money. I go, do you know what
- 50:09Speaker 1: you said to me last night? And I tell her
- 50:11Speaker 1: she felt so bad that she bought me in Einstein's
- 50:14Speaker 1: bagel you paid for my breakfast that morning.
- 50:18Speaker 2: I feel really bad, Like it's funny, but it's not.
- 50:21Speaker 1: That's not Okay, I thought it was hysteria. That's funny.
- 50:24Speaker 3: That's a funny story. But I I've heard it like
- 50:26Speaker 3: I don't feel six times.
- 50:27Speaker 1: She later took one for the team with like that guy.
- 50:30Speaker 1: Remember when I put the guy in your bed? I
- 50:33Speaker 1: put the guy I put I put saint in your
- 50:36Speaker 1: bed because the guy that I just like moved into
- 50:39Speaker 1: the apartment. Oh yeah, came home and I was like,
- 50:41Speaker 1: I hid this guy in Danielle's room. We can't have
- 50:44Speaker 1: sex tonight because I already had sex with him. Wow,
- 50:47Speaker 1: I'm nam but a hope. It's fine. It's fine.
- 50:53Speaker 2: You only live once. Yeah, and you feel like you're ready.
- 50:57Speaker 1: I don't need to repent. Okay, my cookie needs to
- 51:00Speaker 1: do the ripetta because.
- 51:01Speaker 2: She won't what she won't all gonna go.
- 51:08Speaker 1: Yeah, this was so much what a tangent of a podcast.
- 51:14Speaker 2: I mean I giggled a lot. I feel I do
- 51:16Speaker 2: feel like I did some d MT.
