Transcript
- 0:01[SPEAKER_00]: Time for the 49ers Rush Podcast.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_00]: and here's your host, John Chapman.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_02]: What is going on, faithful?
- 0:37[SPEAKER_02]: It is Thursday, which means this is the time we take a peek.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_02]: Behind the curtains, what is the coach approach?
- 0:43[SPEAKER_02]: How are the 49ers going to align?
- 0:45[SPEAKER_02]: What are they going to be doing to Seattle?
- 0:47[SPEAKER_02]: That means I'm with the main man himself.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_02]: And from 49ers cut back, how are we doing it?
- 0:52[SPEAKER_01]: I'm doing great.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_01]: It's Thursday, which means we are almost to the game on Sunday, which I'm super excited about.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_01]: I think that this game is going to go a long way to determine what exactly people feel about the 49ers.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_01]: I know right now a lot of people are thinking they're either the best team or some people are thinking it's a morage.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_01]: You know, this reminds me of some of the conversation that Steve Young and the 49ers had in 1994 when they were trying to beat the Dallas Cowboys in the regular season and how much that win in the regular season meant for their psyche and I think that this one might be important for the 49ers when it comes to psyche if they walk out of Seattle with a big win, I think that that's going to go a long way to
- 1:29[SPEAKER_01]: proving to them, and I think that they believe they can be Seattle, but they'll go a long way of proving yeah We can be Seattle, so I'm looking forward to that and I'm kind of have a little bit of a similarity between that in the 94 team and getting over the hump against those cowboys now they got to get over the hump against Mike McDonald and Seattle C-Ox
- 1:46[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it's weird because, you know, I'm going through the history of the matchup and records and the C-Hawks have beaten the 49ers way more than the 49ers have victories in this matchup.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_02]: It looked back to the Russell Wilson years and like it was one sided for a decade.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_02]: But man, Kyle Shanahan, if you take off the last two losses, which if you leave them on that's fine too, Kyle Shanahan was seven and one.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_02]: seven and one and it's last eight matchups against the seahawks before those you know that week 18 and then the week you know that the divisional round he was seven and one and a lot of those wins were against Mike McDonald so like there has been success it's just man getting thumped twice in three weeks and ending the season on that 41 six burner yeah there does feel like
- 2:38[SPEAKER_02]: Man, when was the last time we beat these guys?
- 2:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, beat them last year, in Seattle.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_02]: Prox 4 and 1 against the Seahawks, in Seattle.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_02]: So like, I do, I recognize and I completely agree with you that it does feel like, okay, you got to get the monkey off your back and all that stuff, love this Steve Young reference.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_02]: But man, they have had success.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_02]: Brock has had success.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_02]: Those last two games, not so much.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_02]: And man, I want to go to, you know, shout out to the stud, a conch if you don't follow him on Twitter.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_02]: He's one of the best out there.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_02]: These are starters.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_02]: The 49ers will have this.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_02]: We could see at all that they didn't have in the division around, okay?
- 3:18[SPEAKER_02]: George Kittle, Fred Warner, Drake Greenlaw, Mike Evans, Divo Samuel, also Diggie Zua, and maybe Miguel Williams.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_02]: Is that enough to close that 41 to six
- 3:29[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, those are a few potential first pal at Hall of Famers.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_01]: I would say so, you know, Mike Evans alone makes a big difference.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_01]: He is, he's went off on Seattle before.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, just last year with Tampa Bay, he was able to make things happen for the Tampa Bay buck and here.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_01]: So, yeah, Mike Evans is a real threat.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that that is going to play a part in this game, but also George Kettle.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_01]: George Kettle's a touchdown machine.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_01]: Here he is coming back from the Achilles.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_01]: He's got four touchdowns in four weeks.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_01]: The 49ers are the best red zone offense in the NFL and don't look at Seattle because they're not very good in the red zone when it comes to playing defense, they're great on third down.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_01]: They're not good in the red zone for whatever reason.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_01]: And I think you look at it.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_01]: It does make a big difference.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_01]: Very green law and depot Samuel.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_01]: They are guys who set the tone.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_01]: They're tone setters and the 49ers didn't have tone setters last year.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_01]: And so I think that offensively and defensively, they can get those cues from those guys.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_01]: And anytime you can say that you just have Fred Warner on the field, that just feel like it makes you better.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_01]: So I do think that it's very impactful to have those guys back.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_01]: I think McCell Williams being back is going to be huge as well.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_01]: The only thing really missing from this this cocktail of players coming back is Nick Bosa Which would have been huge for this football team He was the one that closed the door in week one last year getting after Sam Darrell the knocking the ball out But 49ers that yeah getting all these guys back I do think it closes the gap is gonna be a big difference for this 40 hours football team on Sunday
- 4:49[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it's funny to talk about Nick Bosa, you know, as soon as it gets injured, everybody's like, cut, trade them, get rid of them.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm like, man, y'all do not remember last year to you because when Nick Bosa was out there, you closed out three of the first three games because of Nick Bosa, a, you know, plays in the fourth quarter.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_02]: Like you, you don't just replace that.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_02]: Imagine if you had that right now.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_02]: Um, yeah, anyway, the short sightedness of fans will never astound me.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_02]: I know that's not everybody, but it is some Chris Niners says, the 49ers are going into this one pissed off and looking to get some payback.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_02]: That definitely seems to be the tone in every interview, every question asked, we know what's at stake.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_02]: We know what this is.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_02]: We've had this one circle.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_02]: Those types of things.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_02]: I am curious, and you know, I was talking with Larry Kruger the last night, it reminds me a lot of the eagles after that 2022 season whenever Brock heard his ACL and the or the UCL or UCI whatever.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_02]: on that first series and then they played the Eagles the next year and just everybody showed up in all black blew him out of the water.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_02]: Debo had the game of his life and then the Eagles were not existed for two years after that.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_02]: like it just completely buried them.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not saying that's what I expect to happen, but this is the last time I felt that way.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_02]: Where a team had so much on top of, you know, and ended the 49er season, then they came back and just punched them in the teeth.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_02]: Like, am I the only one that sees similarities between that, that Eagles for Union and the Seahawks for Union?
- 6:27[SPEAKER_01]: No, I think it's it's very similar, you know, I think that there's a lot of conversation you know, you got, you know, you're, you're, you're guy, you know, buy a Murphy, putting you know, you know, get back over your little boy or whatever it was, you know, to Christian McCaffrey after the game, you know, they were talking about smoking stogies and all that.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_01]: There's some, some little disrespect and, you know, Leonard Williams has said it before.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_01]: We don't like those guys and we know that Fred Warner when he gets and he starts talking to his team this week, he's going to say, we don't like these boys.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_01]: We hate these boys.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_01]: Like,
- 6:53[SPEAKER_01]: There's a real energy of dislike and there's no way that the 49ers team can feel good about what happened last year.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_01]: They are carrying that into this year.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_01]: It's probably a big reason why so many of them were motivated and why Brock pretty looks so good because he works so hard during the offseason.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_01]: This is a big game for them and I do think there's similarities to that because when everyone says you can't do something or you wouldn't have beat somebody,
- 7:18[SPEAKER_01]: I think a lot of times that gets in your head and you're like, you know what, we're going to prove to everybody, it's just a different mentality.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_01]: So, yeah, I love it.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_01]: I would love for it to, I mean, look at the Eagles right now, trading away, camp yeargins and doing everything that they're doing, there's pretty much looks like they're selling on the season already.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_01]: the 49ers probably broke them and I think that this is a situation where I'd love to see the 49ers go and go and do that to Mike McDonald in this defense because Brock has had success against the defense before you brought it up earlier, but because of the recent history, they're making it sound like Brock has never played well against the Seattle Seahawks defense.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_01]: So I do think that that would be awesome to see the 49ers come out and handle business against Seattle and what would that do to the NFC West?
- 7:59[SPEAKER_01]: And what would that do to Seattle?
- 8:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no breaks.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you look at
- 8:09[SPEAKER_02]: Just the next month that the Seattle Seahawks have.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_02]: Now, the 40 doctors don't have an easy schedule, right?
- 8:16[SPEAKER_02]: You got commanders, and you got Falcons in a by-week, and now the Falcons are looking like a formidable opponent.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_02]: But the Seattle Seahawks go at Denver, Kansas City, Chicago.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_02]: Those are the next three games.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_02]: Then they've got the Cardinals, which are right.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_02]: And then at Las Vegas Raiders, which now looks like a good game.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_02]: So,
- 8:35[SPEAKER_02]: They definitely have a schedule.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_02]: They've got to start stacking wins.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_02]: They've got to start stacking wins.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_02]: I want to take a second.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_02]: Just say thank you to my man sky walker One, thank you for your generosity, but he says going through a lot right now, man, but listening to you guys talking Niners football makes my day.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_02]: Also, greater willestime.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, just want to lift you up, man.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_02]: your freaking stud glad that you are with us been time with positive people that do lift you up.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_02]: We love you man and feel free to reach out if you need to talk 40 hours rush podcast to gmail.com.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_02]: You're freaking stud you got this and just want to say thank you.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_02]: Let's talk about Brandon Willis.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_02]: He comes in last week and both of the drives that he came in on score touchdowns.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_02]: Like I'm not saying he's better than Kyle use check or anywhere close.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_02]: I do think that it is a down step for sure, but Braden well, this did not disappoint in the few limited snaps that he had out there on Sunday.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think it's interesting, you know, everyone was calling for the 49ers to go to 13 personnel during the offseason.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_01]: Why aren't the 49ers going 13 personnel?
- 9:37[SPEAKER_01]: Well, guess what?
- 9:38[SPEAKER_01]: You get what you want.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_01]: What you're hoping for?
- 9:40[SPEAKER_01]: Because when Brady's well, Brady and Wilson's out there, they ran a lot of 13 personnel with Luke Ferrell and George Kittle out there on the field as well.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, I'm guessing that's how Seattle will probably determine what the personnel group is going to be.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_01]: It's probably 13 personnel with Brady and Wilson.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_01]: I thought he did a pretty good job, you know, I didn't it wasn't like as secure blocking as Kyle used check.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_01]: There were sometimes he was just getting just enough of like Talonoh who fallen in some of those players.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_01]: But I thought that he knew what he was doing.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_01]: He went to the right spots.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that getting thrown in there kind of last minute and being expected to do the motions and shifts and things.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_01]: He did a really good job.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I'm optimistic about what he can do.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_01]: And he is a threat catching the football the backfield.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_01]: You know, so you don't lose anything
- 10:24[SPEAKER_01]: you know having that player go out and make some plays when it comes to coming out of the backfield now is he cow you check like you said no he's not but I think that they they are comfortable you know it would have been Jake conscious of course he's injured now it's bright and will listen now it's a good thing that they decided to keep him this whole time and now he's going to prove his worth so I'm excited to see what bright and will us can do back there I was very
- 10:45[SPEAKER_01]: happy for him when he got drafted by the 49ers out of Oklahoma.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_01]: We haven't really seen him be able to help this team a lot.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_01]: I'm hoping this week will be a big week for him and the 49ers can lean on him.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe he'll make a couple catches, couple pivotal blocks.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_01]: But I do think we should see some fun stuff with debo and Christian McCaffrey in the backfield as well.
- 11:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I like that.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_02]: Um, they had, man, I'll say this.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_02]: Prayton Willis has been a stalwart on special teams.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_02]: And then you think about coming out of the half-debo fumbles, coughs it up.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_02]: Prayton Willis, Johnny on the spot.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_02]: That's like one of the most pivotal place of the whole game.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_02]: Um, that he was able to make is so good.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_02]: Look at this.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_02]: Josh, my man 40 hours faithful forever.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate you, brother.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, Josh is the executive producer of so much like we're going to have trivia questions for our Seattle trip, uh, give it away a bunch of autographed jerseys and stuff.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_02]: Josh helps with those and he helps with our scout and report you the freakin' man.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_02]: He says the two legends, John and aunt, what's up fellas, dude?
- 11:40[SPEAKER_02]: You are the man, Josh.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you so much, brother.
- 11:42[SPEAKER_02]: Um, right here, Joe.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_02]: Ah, coming in.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_02]: new footy at a stop listening to crew and john to catch you guys live can't make it to Seattle this year will definitely be with you guys this period with so great meeting you last year.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_02]: We'll be back Seattle's a hop skip and a jump for us.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll be back and we'll see you again.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_02]: But I just want to say appreciate your man.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_02]: Thanks for listening.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_02]: Thanks for the support.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_02]: Thanks for the positivity and your friendship.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_02]: You're the freaking man.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_02]: Kim bro coming in strong.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_02]: What's up man?
- 12:09[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_02]: Do you think we get to see some deadline from the Eagles since they seem like they are selling?
- 12:17[SPEAKER_02]: Now, I want to push back on the selling narrative.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_02]: They did lose two offensive linemen in one week.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_02]: But I would argue, they really liked Willie Lampkin.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_02]: And so, them getting rid of Jurgen's, they saw it as well.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_02]: We like Lampkin, we're cool with him.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_02]: So if we can get a second back, I do think that Baltimore overpaid for Jurgen's, but now they don't have the depth.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_02]: It does seem like they're kind of selling, but I don't think they're ready in sell mode yet.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_02]: If they get there, that could change what are your thoughts?
- 12:49[SPEAKER_02]: How do you see this?
- 12:51[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't think they're going to go for a full cell.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_01]: I think they're trying to build for the draft he's being very strategic getting players that maybe he can make a move and this might not be about, you know, a complete strip down, but this might be about maybe moving off jail and hurts the money for him is going the going away.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_01]: You get a lot of money, a lot of firepower to be able to jump up in the draft and get some.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_01]: Some playmakers a quarterback potentially.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_01]: So I think he's taking an eye looking at the future I think how he roseman's looking at this team and realizing the chances of them going deep into the playoffs or to the Super Bowl I'll probably not there.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_01]: So think it'll be very selective about who he trades away.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_01]: I think Cami Jerry your against was an interesting one I if you like really lamp and great.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_01]: I just I mean the first thing I would do is stick a guy with really long arms I'll write on top of
- 13:38[SPEAKER_01]: Lampkin and just, you know, go shed, you know, stack and shed, go right past him.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not really concerned about him.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_01]: So that's an interesting move for me.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe they'll move land and Dickerson eventually back to center.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I thought it was a strange move.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think they're going to sell off their defensive line though.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_01]: They've paid those guys so much money.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_01]: So I think other positions, yes, but not defensive line agreed there.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_02]: The fact that they got knocked out in the wild card round by the injured 49ers at home last year,
- 14:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that that was the death blow for sure.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_02]: Now I've got a question KAD over on Patreon.
- 14:13[SPEAKER_02]: He wanted to know specifically yours in my opinion.
- 14:17[SPEAKER_02]: On Osa, how has Osa DeGizua been performing?
- 14:20[SPEAKER_02]: Is he leaving a living up to your expectations like contract?
- 14:24[SPEAKER_02]: How are you seeing him on film?
- 14:26[SPEAKER_02]: Where do you land on Osa DeGizua's performance after one month with the 49ers?
- 14:32[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's been good.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it's been great.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_01]: I thought that he was going to generate a little bit more when it came to stack numbers.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_01]: I think Nick Bosa not being there hurts.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_01]: There's you're not getting that outside pressure, where someone has to step up in the pocket and know so diggy zoo can get there with sacks.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_01]: He's still getting the pressures.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_01]: I think the area that probably the most concerns me is when it comes to run defense.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_01]: Sometimes he just gets moved.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_01]: He gets washed, he gets double-team.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_01]: And so I think that that's probably one of the concerns.
- 15:01[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know if he's hit his stride yet.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_01]: I would say that it's been kind of hit in missed.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_01]: There's some parts of his game I really love.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_01]: I love the fact he gets after the quarterback.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_01]: But I am concerned a little bit about the run defense.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_01]: But the guys around him have played really well.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_01]: Some of the other defensive linemen have stepped up.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not disappointed with the trade.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_01]: I think if you told me you get a third round,
- 15:21[SPEAKER_01]: pick and they're going to do what he's doing right now.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_01]: You'd be over the moon about it.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not disappointed, but I'm still waiting for him to kind of hit a stride and maybe that will be when they get an outside edge presence that can generate a little pressure and they have to step up and also they can do it and get some of those stacks.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_01]: I think we're all hoping he's going to get.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he's still one healthy defensive tackle of your top five starting the year.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_02]: It's so like you, you've just lost, I guess, top four, the three other number two, number three,
- 15:50[SPEAKER_02]: It hasn't been greatest got no sexy play 211 snaps, but four quarter back hits and I put in my notes, too.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_02]: You're not going to get the full potential of Osso Dickies, who until Nick Bosa comes back, like they feed off of each other.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_02]: And man, you know, I went into a deep dive on where Osso's lining up, which you brought him in to be a three tech.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_02]: That's what he is.
- 16:12[SPEAKER_02]: He's got 56 of his 200 snaps.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_02]: playing defensive end, you playing five techniques.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_02]: Like you're having to use him as an edge rusher because your defensive ends are so hard.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_02]: So yes, 100% worth it, would you do the trade?
- 16:27[SPEAKER_02]: Now knowing exactly what you know, yes, I do the third round pick easily.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_02]: It's just he hasn't like set it on fire.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_02]: And so like I get that and the stat sheet, which not saying this is UKD, because I know he watches the table
- 16:46[SPEAKER_02]: man.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_02]: The numbers aren't there.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_02]: He's had a couple miss sacks, but he is impacting the game.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_02]: He hasn't been great in the run game, but he's playing out a position a lot.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_02]: So I like him.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_02]: I think his best football is ahead of him and man, you've got to give them some help.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_02]: You've got to give them some help.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_02]: You've got to give them some help and yeah, right here, Ben, a whole cast stepped up and Sebastian Valdez, consistent player.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_02]: And he's playing really, really well.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_02]: My favorite thing about Sebastian Valdez, that he was playing against duo on one snap.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_02]: And he takes his guy and throws him into Drake Greenlaw and it's like, no, it's not your job.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_02]: Like, occupy the lineman and they got a big run out of it.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_02]: Two place layer, they run duo again and he doesn't let them go.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_02]: So like, you're seeing the wheels turn on.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_02]: There was another series earlier in the game where he got fold blocked.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_02]: He's lined up like in a two-wide the center blocks them and then the, you know, the guard that he's lined up on folds behind the center and goes kicks out.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_02]: And he shoots up field instead of stopping and crossing face and it's like, no, no, that's what they want you to do.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_02]: Don't do that.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_02]: Two plays later.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_02]: They do the same thing.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_02]: He crosses over facing gets in there on the tackle.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_02]: So you're seeing the flip the switch on rookie mistakes football like you now.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_02]: I know Sebastian Valdez not technically a rookie, but he hasn't played.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_02]: And you don't get those coaching whatever when you run and scout team against the Niners offense.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_02]: So like you're starting to see the reps, you're starting to see the play is there.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_02]: And the biggest reason why Sebastian Valdez hasn't been called up to this point, one trait to he's incredibly raw.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_02]: You don't have elite traits.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_02]: That's why nobody ever claimed to him off practice squad despite preseason tape being what it was.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_02]: Now you're starting to get the seasonine on Sebastian Valdez.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_02]: And it's like, okay, maybe you have something here.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_02]: There have been guys that are this
- 18:47[SPEAKER_02]: who's the defensive tackle we paid all that money to and he just keeps getting cut and signed in elsewhere from the Eagles Jvon Hargrave.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_01]: Hargrave.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, like he could have that type of career, a very similar trajectory now Hargrave cashed in and was able to you know, become quite the past Russia.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_02]: But Sebastian Valdez is a guy that just consistently does the damn job consistently and just if he can eliminate more of those negatives,
- 19:13[SPEAKER_02]: There's a bright future there.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_02]: So what's your kind of stance on Sebastian Valdez through two games of playing with the Niners?
- 19:21[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I was I was super excited about what he did in this last game.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_01]: I thought that they actually gave him some extra reps because of how well he was playing against the run.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, he he does some of the things that you like when playing against a double team.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he tries to hold his ground sometimes, but other times, you know, he gets skinny.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_01]: He tries to get through there.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_01]: He attacks.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_01]: I liked his willingness to kind of shed players and make plays.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_01]: You saw some of the football intelligence come through.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_01]: I think that you're talking about, you know, him seeing where the running back was, having his eyes up and then going
- 19:51[SPEAKER_01]: another gap.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_01]: He's not even supposed to be over there.
- 19:53[SPEAKER_01]: He gets over their sticks over there and makes the play.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_01]: I thought that that was nice too.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_01]: So you're seeing good consistent reps for him.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_01]: And it's a lot like Upton Stout was last year where they make mistakes, but then they learn from their mistakes really quick.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_01]: And they don't make those mistakes again.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what I love about these players, the young guys.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_01]: As long as you are learning from mistakes, then as a coach, you get over it real quick.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_01]: You made a mistake, but you learned from it great.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_01]: Let's move on.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that
- 20:18[SPEAKER_01]: I thought that Nikon Jones did a really good job to helping stop the run, being a guy that was there and kind of locking things down.
- 20:26[SPEAKER_01]: So I thought they got good play from two interior defensive linemen in this game that weren't racing hold and weren't OCDG.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_01]: and that's great because you need that depth and I would say that Sebastian Valdez right now has outplayed guys like James Thompson Jr. or CJ West when they were in the lineup.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_01]: That's good news for the 40 years and that's probably why every single week the run defense gets a little bit better and a little bit better.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_01]: The guys who are there playing better and the guys who have been inserted are helping as well.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_01]: Plus for he Morris is one heck of a run
- 20:55[SPEAKER_01]: But sir, he doesn't really get job of getting drag green off Fred Warner and others involved in helping out and they that's really benefited this team, but yeah, I like what about this didn't the game yeah, he's look good.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_02]: Look at this for 25 month member to great goes face.
- 21:10[SPEAKER_02]: I love it.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_02]: I love it.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_02]: We'll take what's up.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_02]: He says, hey, appreciate you fellas.

- 21:34[SPEAKER_02]: Now, um, do have to say thank you just real quick.

- 22:38[SPEAKER_02]: Let's have a good time.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go.
- 22:40[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_02]: Now, I want to jump over to injuries.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_02]: My man bin, who's always in the chat, he's the NYU Niners.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_02]: He's talking about McCail Williams coming back here, which I think is gonna be big deal.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_02]: I wanna talk about that later.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_02]: The math has finally reached a point where you're at the tipping point with injuries.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_02]: So you get 53 players.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_02]: but only 48 are active on game day.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_02]: So you have all the healthy scratches.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_02]: Now the, so here's the, here's the issue.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_02]: You have four players not on IR that are not gonna be playing this week.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_02]: Nick Bosa, Kyle use check, James Thompson Jr. Marquis Seagull.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, you have four healthy scratch guys that you're just trying to keep on the 53 for the future.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_02]: Curtis Roark, Enrique Cruz, Jordan James, and Tatum Bethton.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_02]: Guys, that just not going to be factored in the game plan, even if they were active.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_02]: That's eight.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_02]: Eight minus 53.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_02]: That's 45.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_02]: You've got to have 48 active.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_02]: You can only call up two on the practice squad.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_02]: But here's where it starts to get crazy.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_02]: Because if you activate Mikhail Williams, which I do think they will do,
- 23:50[SPEAKER_02]: Who do you get rid of?
- 23:51[SPEAKER_02]: You have to make room on the 53 first for him.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_02]: So my question to you and how does this roster gymnastics look this week?
- 24:02[SPEAKER_02]: Do you just call up these guys that aren't going to help and just do special teams?
- 24:07[SPEAKER_02]: How do you see them finagling the numbers to get enough players up to play against the Seattle Seahawks this week?
- 24:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, like you said, it's getting more and more complicated all the time.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_01]: You know, try to figure out what they do because they have these guys that just have to sit on your 53 man roster because you can't put them on IR and then bring them back.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_01]: Because you won't have enough spots.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_01]: And so I've been wondering about that.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_01]: And I think you're seeing some of the things they're doing at wide receiver making sure they have a punt returner.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_01]: on the practice spot like they're doing something to the wide receiver because they know Christian Kirk and others are coming down the line eventually they have to make decisions I don't know what they do when it comes to McCall Williams as far as who they They go ahead and move on from because I'm looking at the roster and I don't want it to be a defensive end I like the way the hogbo Ocaronco is played
- 24:56[SPEAKER_01]: I like the way that Khalid Karim has been playing.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_01]: Those guys are hustling.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_01]: Those guys give effort.
- 25:00[SPEAKER_01]: They are really playing hard.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't really want to lose those guys.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_01]: And you don't have a guy a defensive tackle that you can do that with.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_01]: You know, and they wanted to keep James Thompson Jr., they didn't want to go that way.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_01]: He's already working on the side field.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_01]: He's not that far away.
- 25:13[SPEAKER_01]: You can't put them on the intro reserve now.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_01]: I think that in a perfect world, they would have been able to move on from a safety, someone like Ashton Davis, but now that Marky Seagulls hurt, now you can't do that.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_01]: I think this is very complicated for them.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_01]: I really do.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_01]: I think that they've got a plan,
- 25:29[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know who that player is going to be that they are going to potentially move on from.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be somebody probably a vested veteran that they think they can get to the practice squad, that way they can bring them back, but I don't know which guy that's going to be because I I kind of lost track of how this thing plays out when it got so complicated.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see what they do because I don't think they ever expected to have some of these guys on the active roster.
- 25:51[SPEAKER_01]: Now they need some of them.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm with Kimbro here, like I want somebody, I hate saying this to get a shatterhand injury on the back end, whether that's Enrique Cruz, Curtis Rork, Tatum Bettho, Jordan James, like one of these guys that you can move to IR, just not bring them back and then get that extra spot because man, like the offensive line is the one
- 26:24[SPEAKER_02]: I get you like to have eight line men, but you've got Carver Willis in there too, who, you know, got that field goal blocked, but like there's somebody that you've got to make room.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_02]: You can't move a wide receiver.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_02]: You don't have healthy bodies.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_02]: Can't move defensive tackles.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_02]: Don't have healthy bodies.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_02]: Can't move safeties.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_02]: Don't have healthy bodies.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_02]: And so it's just like, good gosh, take them bet through maybe, which
- 26:49[SPEAKER_02]: Dude, it's going to be a starter in the NFL next year.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to get a copy form like it's like, dude, if you cut, take them back through now, you're losing basically a six or seventh round pick, given it's two years from now, but he's going to factor in that somebody's going to give him a chance.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_02]: These roster gymnastics, they're only going to get harder and harder and harder.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_02]: But let's focus on just quickly the comments, right?
- 27:15[SPEAKER_02]: What did Mikael Williams say?
- 27:17[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if you saw the interview like out.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to find out Sunday like he is talking as if he is playing Sunday.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_02]: So first question, will he be activated?
- 27:27[SPEAKER_02]: And then how do you interpret Mikael Williams impact on the 49ers if he does play Sunday?
- 27:32[SPEAKER_02]: Which I think you will.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think he's going to play too.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_01]: I think that he's he's been itching to play since before this season ever started.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_01]: He thought he was really close.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_01]: And I think now he feels like he can go make an impact.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_01]: You know, in John Lynch took the KBR and talked about the fact.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_01]: This was the number 11 overall pick and we liked him for a reason.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_01]: And there's a lot of things that he does about an impact the game.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_01]: And I do think that there's a lot of things that he can do to impact the game.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_01]: One of those is he's going to set a firm edge in the run game.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_01]: That's one thing that he does really well.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_01]: But I love him rushing from the inside.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_01]: I thought that last year, even when Nick Bosa went out, I thought McCell Williams helped that team.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_01]: and really help the edge presence still get after the quarterback.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, Bryce Hoff was still having success.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_01]: Wind McKell Williams was in the lineup because they had to pay attention to him on the inside.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_01]: I think it him and Keyon White are going to be interesting inside.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_01]: And that's why I don't want to lose a guy like Agba Ocaronko on the outside that can rush and has that speed element.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_01]: So I think he's going to make an impact.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's going to throw some people around.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's going to blow some tight ends up that they try to block him without on the edge.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_01]: And I think he's going to get some tackles for law, so I'm super excited for him to get back in there because I do think he's going to make an impact.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_01]: He's still never going to be the, the bend the corner edge presence that some people want, but they don't need that from him.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_01]: They just need him to be able to generate past rest wherever he's at.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_01]: He can do that from the inside.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_01]: So I like Michael Williams to make an impact instantly once he's out there on the field.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_02]: Did they got Sebastian Feltes and also a diggy zoo or taken in reps right now in games consistently?
- 29:02[SPEAKER_02]: Like, yeah, you need defensive it.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_02]: And I get why everybody keeps asking it like trade for a defensive end trade for a defensive end.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_02]: I get that, but it's like man, you're getting both a back eventually.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_02]: Michele Williams coming back this week.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_02]: Samo, who like people scoff at, like it's funny because I put those three names.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, these are three defensive ends you're returning.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_02]: And people like make comments like, oh, Sam, oh, and I'm like, dude, you were telling on yourself so bad that you do not watch tape like Samo is he's not a top 30 top 40 top 50 defensive in he is your ideal number three number four defensive in and he's the number five guy for the Niners like I would argue I don't know if there's a team that has a better number five defensive in than Samo that is that consistent
- 29:45[SPEAKER_02]: and do it started like half the season last year for the night or so like I'm not saying Samo is like better than Cleo Mac or any of those things.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_02]: I'm saying you actually do have depth at the defensive end position.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_02]: It's just injured right now.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_02]: A broken foot and a strained calf.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_02]: Those aren't necessarily long-term entries.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_02]: I expect Samo to be backed by the by week.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_02]: I expect Nick posted me back by the by week.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_02]: Ramelo Heights took a major step up in the fourth quarter.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_02]: And before we kind of, you know, start shifting more forward and talking a little bit more about the seahawks.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_02]: Ramello Hyde is interesting to me because his worst place are the worst place.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_02]: Get pancake 12 yards down field, falling down without anybody blocking them, letting the quarterback escape all those different things.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_02]: But then that fourth quarter turned on.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_02]: And it was a close game.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_02]: His best probably seven snaps this season, all came in succession in the fourth quarter versus the Broncos.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm like, did he finally turn a corner?
- 30:45[SPEAKER_02]: So where do you land on Ramello High and what he's been able to do?
- 30:49[SPEAKER_02]: And then did you see the switch because he was horrible in the first half?
- 30:54[SPEAKER_02]: And then I thought like, okay, NBA Jam, he's warming up.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, he did, he did look like he's eating up.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he did look like that.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it was, it was really good stuff watching him, especially Gile Ben the corner.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_01]: That's one of the things a 49ers miss when they don't have both and both is not the best at it.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_01]: But that's why they got Remelo height.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_01]: They wanted a guy that could bend the corner and and pressure people upfield.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, right now these teams are trying to take away him up the field.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_01]: So they're getting a good slide.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_01]: They're getting out in front of them.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_01]: But I thought that he tried to threaten them in the middle are go to go inside a little bit during this game and they were just stopping him and he finally was just like, you know what I'm just going to go for broke.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to go harder on the edge.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_01]: And I thought that the technique looked really good.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he bent the corner flat on that one.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_01]: Nearly got the ball.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_01]: I thought that, yeah, he looked really good in the down the stretch.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_01]: So I mean, it's very hidden miss for Ramello.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_01]: Hi, and I think that that's one of the things young players try to find is consistency.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_01]: Right now, I'm hoping that he'll have some splash plays that'll make up for some of the not so good plays.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_01]: And then the 49ers can benefit from those.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_01]: I thought that we've seen improvement though, and this is a guy that's playing with a club on his hand that does make things a little bit more difficult with risk control and some of the things you're trying to do to an offensive lineman, so he's got to learn to play with that.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_01]: But overall, I did think that there was a switch that came on down that stretch.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_01]: And I was excited about it.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_01]: And if you look at the tweets on Twitter, it starts with Romero Heights, the worst one of the worst draft picks in the history of the 49ers.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_01]: And then by the end, they're like, you know, Romero Heights, he's not so bad.
- 32:22[SPEAKER_01]: He's doing all right.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_01]: So that always is a good signal as well, that hey.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_01]: He's showing some things on tell it's hard to watch him.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_02]: He it's hard to watch him.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot of just like what do you do?
- 32:33[SPEAKER_02]: And man, but had like three wins in the fourth quarter against Garrett Bulls.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_02]: That does not happen consistently.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_02]: Look at this Joe the man.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_02]: We we we we we asked him to put words to action.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_02]: He goes over and he subscribes
- 32:48[SPEAKER_02]: a new member over on the the cutback.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_02]: I love it.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_02]: I love it.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_02]: I love it.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_02]: You are the freaking man.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_02]: Now, one of my favorite bets dude.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_02]: I am pretty pumped about this Thursday night game.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_02]: You have to cowboys first the bucks.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_02]: The bucks have like nothing.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_02]: It's a huge spread nine plus points.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_02]: The cowboys are favorite.
- 33:08[SPEAKER_02]: I think the cowboys are playing some decent football defense is still a mess.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_02]: I did an alternative line Cowboys minus seven and a half points for tonight.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to include Dallas and Subteasers as well.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_02]: We post our bets every week.
- 33:18[SPEAKER_02]: We haven't had a losing week yet.

- 34:47[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_02]: Mybookie.ag promo code 49ers.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_02]: All right, let's look at this.
- 34:58[SPEAKER_02]: Reese has got a comment.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_02]: Then I'm going to jump to the Seattle sea ox, but I think that this, you know, is worth it.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_02]: He says, John Ante out of the O14s in the league, who could be an option at defensive interwide receiver to pick up that makes sense?
- 35:10[SPEAKER_02]: So let's go over the O14s.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_02]: You have the chargers, you have the Tennessee Titans, the Houston Texans, Miami Dolphins, and then the Tampa Bay Bucks who play tonight.
- 35:21[SPEAKER_02]: So those are the five now you always want to look out of the conference first that's a little bit more likely than you want to try to find teams that are going to be completely done with the season.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_02]: Houston is a little bit of full gold at 0 and 4 because their defense is still so good they've got a cost control quarterback like add that divisions not the best like I don't think they're out of it Tennessee is fighting for the first overall pick Miami's fighting for the first overall pick.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_02]: Chargers, John Harbrot, Harbar will never quit even if he's 116.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_02]: And then the Tampa Bay books.
- 35:54[SPEAKER_02]: So aunt, what do you make of the Owen 14s and is there anybody that kind of jumps off to you, being Larry talked about, dude, I love Chris Godwin.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_02]: He's got this year next year on his deal.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_02]: That's, I mean, you just brought over my Kevin's.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, does Chris Godwin make sense or anybody else stand out to you.
- 36:14[SPEAKER_01]: I think wide receiver doesn't make a whole lot of sense for me with the 49ers only because of what they have on the injury reserve right Christian Kirk is probably a week away potentially from coming back to Marcus Robinson starting to work on a side feel which means you know he's getting close and when it soon sees I.R.
- 36:30[SPEAKER_01]: stand is over he'll be back
- 36:32[SPEAKER_01]: And then they're going to have to make roster decisions on guys like Jacob, counting and Jordan walk in.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not sure that they're going to ultimately bring a new wide receiver in.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_01]: I think when it comes to defensive line, I think that's where the conversation really starts.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_01]: And that's where they've spent most of other draft capital, draft capital through the years.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_01]: Guys like Charles Aminahoo and guys like that that they can bring in to make an impact.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_01]: on this defensive line.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's also the easier of the transitions.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_01]: The question is going to be, like you said, who is going to be willing to trade?
- 37:01[SPEAKER_01]: I'm with you.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think Houston is.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_01]: In fact, the meco rhymes is taking over defensive play, calling duties.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_01]: They think that they can turn that thing around a little bit.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_01]: I think with the chargers, I think that there probably is a realistic
- 37:15[SPEAKER_01]: Cleal Mac will probably want an opportunity to go and win a championship or play for a contender.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_01]: This could be his last season in the NFL.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_01]: So I think guys like that do make sense.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_01]: But I think right now everyone's going to wait a little bit longer.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_01]: I think this thing's going to play out over the next couple weeks.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_01]: As, you know, if the chargers go 0 and 5, 0 and 6, I think it's, yeah, it's definitely going to happen with Cleo Max going to get moved.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_01]: The players are like the most from the Houston Texans, and I don't think those guys are going to be available.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see how it goes, but I think wide receiver, I wouldn't think that something's going to happen there.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_01]: But in interior defensive line, a defensive end, I do think if there's a market that develops in the 49ers can get somebody, especially if they don't have to break the bank, I think they will.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and like I get these questions like oh go get JJ white go get Jeffrey Jeffrey Simmons would cost three first rounders plus like and the and the money and like no I don't I don't even think that's Anybody who trades Jeff he is the franchise stalwart they don't have like they're going to replace their quarterback Like they're I don't they can't board
- 38:19[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think Robert saw it.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_02]: Like it might be the end of both those guys at least in Tennessee land.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_02]: So and I hate to say this.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_02]: I love hate watching more than anything like watching the Seahawks lose or the Rams lose or the Cowboys loose is awesome.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_02]: I saw the comments like can't bet all the Cowboys.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_02]: I get it money to me.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_02]: I can't bet against the Niners.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_02]: I've never done that before in my life.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_02]: Even if I know it's a short thing, but I'll take money and I want Tampa Bay to lose.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I think it's the $40 best interest if the Cowboys went tonight.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_02]: So I could justify that, some mental gymnastics there.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_02]: I hate the Cowboys, too.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_02]: But like, I think it helps the $40 Niners if the buck's lose personally.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, what do you think it would cost to get Jeffrey Simmons?
- 39:02[SPEAKER_02]: Chris says he isn't costing three first rounders.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_02]: He's the second best defense attack on the NFL.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_02]: I would say.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think he's off limits, actually, you know, they just sign up for that new big deal.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think they want to move on from him.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't think that there's a, it's going to take something to, you know, blow them out of the water.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it would be two first round picks.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the guys probably going to want, you know, are the, the Titans are going to want a lot for him.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_01]: Because I think he's their best player on the entire team.
- 39:26[SPEAKER_01]: He's their best player.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_01]: So you trade away the best player.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to get a lot for him.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_01]: Tampa, you said Chris Godwin, do you think that Vida Veia, and a lot of people are talking about that contract, his Vida Veia, somebody to me, he makes the most sense for the 40 years.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't know if they would trade him after re-upping his deal.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he's on the side of the stadium.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_02]: Like, you know what I mean?
- 39:45[SPEAKER_02]: Like, yeah.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_02]: And that plays a role.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_02]: because they lost so much to keep Bruce Arient or not Bruce Arient.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_02]: Sorry, um, help me out with their coaches name.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_02]: I see his face, totables.
- 39:57[SPEAKER_02]: Um, like, they, they lost Mike Evans for that.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_02]: It like, you, you lost should, should kill bear at quit.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, their stud line back at quit.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_02]: Like, they lost everything.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_02]: And now you sign Baker, but he's injured, and it's on with Phil Jr.'s not playing.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, who do you, if you're a fan who you come to see, and I've been to the books two out of the last three seasons at Raymond James Stadium, you see Viva jerseys.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_02]: Like, for the owners of the general managers to make these decisions, dude, who are fans coming to see?
- 40:30[SPEAKER_02]: Right now it's feet of a and I think they want to keep them it's a two-year deal if they're open to trading them hell Yes hell yeah, I think defensive tackles a bigger need the defensive end For the 49ers I do because I don't I don't think you're getting much return coming back at the defensive end spot I mean at the defensive tackle spot defensive ends spot you are
- 40:52[SPEAKER_02]: So like yeah, I don't know.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_02]: I would love read a via and I think defensive tackle.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_02]: I care more about that than I do wide receiver than I do defensive end.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_02]: I think that that is a bigger long-term need that's just me.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_02]: That's just me now.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_02]: Let's let's transition.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_02]: Let's start looking at Seattle
- 41:09[SPEAKER_02]: Let's talk 49ers offense for Seattle's defense.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_02]: They played two out of the last three matchups last year.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_02]: 49ers offense had a combined nine points in those two games.
- 41:20[SPEAKER_02]: Failing to reach 250 total yards in either game.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_02]: Not that you can fix it all.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_02]: But what are some of the things you're looking for for the 49ers offensive coach approach to the Seattle Seahawks?
- 41:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think it's establishing a run game.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I mean, the one thing Seattle likes to do against the 49ers is get Nick him and worry out there on the field and play that nickel package.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_01]: You've got to be able to take advantage when you have your bigs in the game.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, last year they weren't able to do that with Luke Ferrell and Kyle you check and consistently get some some movement up front.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that they're a little bit better this year when it comes to run blocking and some of the design has been pretty good, but they are going to take a hit with that with Kyle you check.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_01]: So that's going to change it up a little bit.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe it'll throw Mike McDonald lost a little bit the scent of what the 49ers are actually going to do But I do think that that's one thing they have to do is establish a rung him.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_01]: They got to attack They came and worry in the run game They've got to make them feel uncomfortable being in a nickel package because they're just going to sit in that too high shell You know, of course you we both know they're going to change it as the the snap happens right post snap is going to change a little bit One of those safety is coming into the box a little bit or at least a a few yards in
- 42:27[SPEAKER_01]: They just got to make them they got to make them cover everything and I think that if they have to get out of that too high shell I get out of that nickel package.
- 42:34[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's when the 49ers are really started having some success with some play action And I think some of it's going to come after getting after Nick and my worries.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_01]: So Luke Feral has been blocking so good this year This has been the one of the biggest things has happened in this 49ers team that I think kind of flies into the radar
- 42:51[SPEAKER_01]: Luke Feral, these to get on M&W, him and George Kiddled need to make it personal this week.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_01]: And I think if they do, then I think the 49ers will have more success on offense.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_02]: Man, Luke Ferrell has been such a revelation this year, compared to last year.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I won't be shocked if he gets extended like soon.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I would not be shocked.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_02]: He's been that good.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_02]: And, you know, he's consistently been good for backspack years on special teams.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_02]: Now, you're finally getting the dividends and living up to the contract.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_02]: I would argue that through the first month of the season, Luke Ferrell has lived past his contract, which is crazy.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_02]: He was like the most hated 49ers player.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_02]: Ed, you know, whatever he got asked to fill it as tight in one, it was just too much for him.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_02]: It was too much and you go ahead and you extend Jake Tontis and then he gets injured, but Luke Farrell's been awesome.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_02]: He really, really has, oh, speaking of awesome.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_02]: Rob Lauder, the striking gold podcast says the coach approach hat tip is undefeated as well.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_02]: That is all.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, man.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_02]: Hat tip right back to everybody go check out the striking gold podcast, frigate stud, Rob Lauder, you stud out there, work with the kiddos, just doing everything.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_02]: He's the best.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it's funny because whenever I ask you about what the 40 hours off it's to do, I run the ball very obvious, convert on first downs, which that was what killed the 40 hours off in the last week in the first half.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_02]: CMC and Klam Black on second down, just getting tackled a yard to two yards before the sticks.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_02]: got to finish better.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_02]: And man, they were probably three or four explosives just left on the field because you barely missed one block or you didn't break a tackle.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_02]: That game 49ers easily could put up 30 plus.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_02]: If just a couple plays, like that kid will play was not the anomaly.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_02]: The anomaly was man, there were so many other players plays ready to break just barely missed it.
- 44:43[SPEAKER_02]: So she had a hand scheming it up.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_02]: Now, I want Nicky Monore to have a target on his back.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_02]: I want
- 44:50[SPEAKER_02]: I want to isolate matchups against I know they do zone predominantly, but I want him choosing between George Kittle and Christian McCaffrey out there.
- 44:59[SPEAKER_02]: I want them running the ball at him.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_02]: I want them throwing the ball around him, all those things.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_02]: I know he's a freak, and I know I only played like four plays in week one when the Niners beat them at Seattle last year, but
- 45:11[SPEAKER_02]: he can be had.
- 45:12[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think he's 100% coming back from that injury.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and so I kind of want to target him.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_02]: Like, dude, it might be kind of crazy, but I want you going after this dude making him work his tail end up because I think they're going to be in 12 personnel, a lot, one back, two tight ends, force them in that nickel in that situation.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_02]: And let's run the ball.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_02]: Let's see what happens there.
- 45:34[SPEAKER_02]: I love that.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_02]: Now flip the switch.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go to 49ers defense against the same download lead Seahawks offense, probably JS in lead is more appropriate.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_02]: What do you want to see with where he Morris?
- 45:46[SPEAKER_02]: What's the schematic tendencies or game plan?
- 45:51[SPEAKER_02]: How do we want this to shake out?
- 45:54[SPEAKER_01]: makes him darn also uncomfortable.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, bring the heat on Sam Darnold.
- 45:58[SPEAKER_01]: I've seen him make some really bad throws.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_01]: You go back and you watch last week and I don't even know what he's looking at.
- 46:04[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he made some really bad throws and, you know, the same thing with the commander's game.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I mean, they were struggling.
- 46:11[SPEAKER_01]: with that offense that offense has been inconsistent at best and I know they're scoring a lot of points you know to over 26 points per game.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_01]: That's great.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_01]: It's a lot of short fields.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_01]: That defense has got eight turnovers for them so far this season.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_01]: The special teams has helped as well.
- 46:24[SPEAKER_01]: They've been able to get some short fields and then capitalize on those.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_01]: So, Bravo to them, but I don't think their offense has looked very comfortable.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_01]: It's JSN.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_01]: It's the tight ends.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_01]: Those are the guys who are making all the plays now.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to be without jdary in price.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_01]: I wonder if this running game for Seattle can actually get going.
- 46:41[SPEAKER_01]: And if it doesn't, I think where he morse is going to be able to dial some things up on third and eight, third and nine, Sam Darnall's going to be more of a sitting duck in the pocket than Bo Nix was last week.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_01]: And I know he's mobile and I know he can move, but he's a little bit different when it comes to scrambling.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't like to do it unless he has to.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_01]: So he's terrible against the blitz this season.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_01]: I think they need to go after him.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_01]: I think they need to put a lot of pressure, five man pressures, get after Sam Darnall,
- 47:06[SPEAKER_01]: in the pocket.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not even against on third and, you know, third and eight, third and ten bringing six man pressures and just eight, make him make a quick decision.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's that would really benefit the 49ers.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_01]: And you go back and you look at that week 18 game.
- 47:19[SPEAKER_01]: Seattle's offense wasn't great in that game either.
- 47:21[SPEAKER_01]: The 49ers defense actually played pretty well against them.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that that's something that will carry over and where he Morris to me is taking this defense a whole other level than what it was last
- 47:34[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to fall, shout out to my main ball hope, see you out of week, man.
- 47:37[SPEAKER_02]: I hate to see Hawks.
- 47:38[SPEAKER_02]: I hate him too.
- 47:40[SPEAKER_02]: It was weird because for me, I've hated to see Hawks more than the Rans for a long time.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_02]: And like I kind of found myself in the NFC championship game last year.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_02]: like I didn't know I felt this way, but as the game played out, like I was hoping to see I don't see Hawks would win more so than the Rams not hoping anybody would win, but like I wanted the Rams to lose more.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know who do you hate more?
- 48:03[SPEAKER_02]: Do you hate the Rams more or the Seahawks more?
- 48:06[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's been stretches, you know, I think that during like the late 80s and that stretch I really didn't like the Rams.
- 48:12[SPEAKER_01]: uh... during the hardball days i couldn't stand the seahawks like it was like they were so annoying at the time uh... i i just like both of them yeah i i really do i mean i'm kind of like christian macafre i hope both teams lose like whenever they play each other i'm just uh... i'm not a fan i i do hope that when it comes to the rivalry i i i'm just like just upset with them same way i'm with the cowboys in the new europe giants too i i just can't stand them i hope they always lose uh... but i would say probably right now i probably have a little bit more
- 48:42[SPEAKER_01]: hatred for the rams.
- 48:43[SPEAKER_01]: I would say just because of all the 17 and O talk and everything that was going on with that But for the most part, I mean, I usually see atle.
- 48:51[SPEAKER_01]: I just had I just like said I used to dislike Russell Wilson so
- 48:55[SPEAKER_02]: a little troll that little troll is on you.
- 48:57[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate you.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_02]: Who is on JS in demo?
- 49:00[SPEAKER_02]: This is like the new NFL.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_02]: Um, there are some heavy man teams that do like, hey, we're putting this player on this player.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_02]: The nine or so, not that team.
- 49:10[SPEAKER_02]: Demo goes to the wide side of the field and they run zone almost predominantly, like maybe like less than 8% man coverage.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_02]: So like because of that, you don't have, this isn't the 80s, 90s with real green following around Jerry Rice on every single play.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_02]: You don't necessarily just put Demo on a player and then Jason will come out of the slot, remember when they drafted him, he was a slot player.
- 49:35[SPEAKER_02]: Only now he's kind of evolved into this, he true X, Y receiver.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_02]: He wasn't that for the first two years.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, like, and so like you get these questions from Joseph like shut down Jackson Smith and Jigpa you're not going to do that you can't shut them down and today's NFL zone concept system what I do want them to do is roll cover to their side where you always have a safety over the top to the JS inside now they can shift and double motion and get out of that and check and all that stuff against the zone heavy team.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_02]: But I don't have problems with Rado Green on Jason.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_02]: I don't have problems with up and stout on Jason.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_02]: And I sure don't have problems about Dioma, Georgia, or North and even Jack Jones, if he plays.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_02]: Like our corners, the 49ers corners are solid.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_02]: I just want safety help on top.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to run quarters to Jason side where he has the underneath wide open all freaking game and he just hits those come backs and quickouts and whip routes.
- 50:36[SPEAKER_02]: He will eat our lunch and he's going to get his like Jason their tire offense goes through him because it's so zone heavy.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know like what do you how do you see like shutting down wide receivers when they
- 50:56[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I think you have two options, right?
- 50:58[SPEAKER_01]: I think number one, you can pay a lot of attention to him.
- 51:00[SPEAKER_01]: The way they did it, like a tight and like, trademark bride, you know, a bracket coverage.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_01]: So you could, like you said, roll coverage over the top.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_01]: The guy can play a little bit more physical underneath.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_01]: And then you know that he's got help.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_01]: So he doesn't have to worry about taking a chance underneath and getting to be with a double move.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_01]: I think that there's that or you can play your normal defense and just know that that guy is going to get his But you're going to make sure that nobody else does anything and so at some point right you're not going to be able to convert I think that's one of the problems with Seattle here are not good on third down as a third down offense They don't convert consistently And so this is an area where I think the 40 hours they believe that Seattle can't consistently move down the field as the game goes on long drives like Arizona was able to get
- 51:41[SPEAKER_01]: can't see how to do that.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_01]: They just haven't been good enough so far.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_01]: They're run the ball consistently enough to have a third in short situation.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that they probably are going to do a mixture of both.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_01]: I think in certain situations, they're going to look to take away JSN and put coverage over the top and give him extra attention.
- 51:59[SPEAKER_01]: And then I think at other times, they're going to let this play out with normal defense.
- 52:02[SPEAKER_01]: And like you said, we're out of a green or cover them up in style, cover them.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_01]: Deemo, whoever
- 52:11[SPEAKER_01]: and hoping that they can influence Sam Donald to make an errand throw, and that's just what they're going to go with.
- 52:15[SPEAKER_01]: So I think it's going to be a mixture of things where he morse has just been like that all year.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_01]: It's been mixed your, you can't get an idea of exactly what he's doing because he just changes it up.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what drives offensive coordinator's crazy.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm guessing couching in is probably going to know what Bryan Flurry likes to do.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to have an idea of what his tendencies are.
- 52:31[SPEAKER_01]: It's not shocking that the Titans are more involved in their game plans every single week, considering who you used to coach.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, man, Titan coaches, I felt like offensively, they were always the most evolved and most perplexing as a defensive coordinator because they just have a complete understanding of everything, the past, run game, all those things.
- 52:54[SPEAKER_02]: The Titan coaches, man, I used to tell people, like, if you can't coach quarterbacks,
- 52:59[SPEAKER_02]: You should be coached tight ends or offensive line if you're an offensive coach like that's what you should not that receiver coaches or running back coaches are awesome it's just you don't get a holistic view you just don't get it but when you're coaching offensive line or your coached tight ends.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_02]: Man, you're going to learn.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to learn.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_02]: Steffin, look at this, appreciate the super chat.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_02]: I don't like to discriminate.
- 53:21[SPEAKER_02]: I hate the rams and seehawks equally to the max.
- 53:24[SPEAKER_02]: I hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I am with you.
- 53:28[SPEAKER_02]: I am with you there.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_02]: They just, I take turns and hate on both.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_02]: And look at this comment from J.M.
- 53:36[SPEAKER_02]: You got to remember last year, Garrett Wallo and Eric Kendrick's were the linebackers.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_02]: Now you got Fred Warner and Drake Greenlaw.
- 53:43[SPEAKER_02]: got George Kittle didn't have Fred Warner didn't have drink green law didn't have my heavens didn't have debo didn't have also diggy zoo didn't have him a kill Williams didn't have is that going to be enough we will see and any closing thoughts notes that we didn't get to before we jump out of here.
- 54:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this is going to be a dogfight, you know, I mean, that's a, I mean, just get ready for it.
- 54:05[SPEAKER_01]: Don't get stuck in the roller coaster ride.
- 54:07[SPEAKER_01]: The EBS and flows of the game.
- 54:08[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be up and down, but when it, you know, when it's all said and done this 49ers team is better than they were last year, top to bottom, roster wise coaching wise.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_01]: Jerry Gray, you know, the secondaries played so much better for him to the best against explosives in the NFL.
- 54:23[SPEAKER_01]: I think if they if they make Seattle consistently go down the field on offense and they're going to stall out some and 49ers were so good last week of making the Broncos stall out before they ever got to the red zone.
- 54:33[SPEAKER_01]: And I think one of the big things that I'm taking away from this game, I talk about red zone every single week, 49ers red zone offense against the Seattle sea ox red zone defense.
- 54:42[SPEAKER_01]: If the 49ers can get to the red zone and that's a that's a big it.
- 54:45[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they only see it only gives up conversions on third down at 28%.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_01]: But if you can get there, I think the 49ers have a real advantage in the red zone.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_01]: I think they'll score touchdowns and touchdowns and field goals.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_01]: We've been talking about this for four weeks now.
- 55:03[SPEAKER_02]: You win this game.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_02]: You got a two and a half game lead.
- 55:07[SPEAKER_02]: Two and a half game lead in your division over the Rams and Seattle Seahawks What you already would have had victories at LA even though it was in Melbourne and at Seattle Yeah, you got to play them both again, but it's gonna be it's Santa Clara
- 55:21[SPEAKER_02]: with that 5-0-3-0 division lead, oh my gosh, now you lose this game, you're no longer even in first place.
- 55:27[SPEAKER_02]: Seattle wins on timebreakers.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_02]: Then it's claw time.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_02]: Like every game matters.
- 55:32[SPEAKER_02]: If you want the buffer, I mean both Seattle and the 40 hours have crazy tough schedules, the rest of the season.
- 55:40[SPEAKER_02]: Hmm, get this victory, you're a little bit of sigh of relief like you know what I mean like a five and oh and wins over all three of your division opponents already
- 55:54[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think the Niners need any motivation and it is kind of funny like not one of my least favorite, but any game that's just not like a clear deciding victory or you know, it's got to be close.
- 56:13[SPEAKER_02]: like this is personal.
- 56:14[SPEAKER_02]: I hate your guts.
- 56:16[SPEAKER_02]: I hope bad things happen to everybody.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_02]: Like we are coming for blood.
- 56:21[SPEAKER_02]: And you saw that with Ray Greenlaw last week against Denver just willing himself to just freaking mortal combat standards.
- 56:31[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's going to elevate the play of everybody around him.
- 56:34[SPEAKER_02]: Like play like Dre, that should be the motto.
- 56:38[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody this week, play like Dre.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_02]: I want personal foul penalties.
- 56:43[SPEAKER_02]: I want, I want them.
- 56:44[SPEAKER_02]: Like if you give me a personal foul penalty because you knock the, you know, demote just headbutton, Jason, take it.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not saying get it on purpose.
- 56:53[SPEAKER_02]: I'm saying bully the hell out of this team.
- 56:56[SPEAKER_02]: That's what it needs to be.
- 56:58[SPEAKER_02]: Ugh.
- 56:59[SPEAKER_02]: can't wait to be there.
- 57:00[SPEAKER_02]: It's not going to be that.
- 57:02[SPEAKER_02]: I want to wear my 90s starter jacket.
- 57:04[SPEAKER_02]: I'm in my fashion choices unpacking today.
- 57:06[SPEAKER_02]: And I want the 90s pull over, but it's going to be like 60 degrees outside.
- 57:11[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm like, do it.
- 57:11[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to be sweating bullets.
- 57:13[SPEAKER_02]: I can't do it.
- 57:14[SPEAKER_02]: My two jerseys I got picked out, the Vartal Pullman, I have to wear to Seattle because they screwed that to it over.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_02]: That wear my gray green law, the Hawks layer.
- 57:24[SPEAKER_02]: This game matters.
- 57:26[SPEAKER_02]: I'm totally like I'm in it and I'm ready to go and if I'm ready to go They sure is hell better be ready to go Anyway, you are the absolute best everybody.
