Transcript
- 0:10Speaker 1: Hello, beautiful beans, and welcome to the podcast episode of Today.
- 0:13Speaker 1: This is day four in our miniseries The Reset that
- 0:16Speaker 1: You Actually Need. And while I'm talking about the Reset
- 0:20Speaker 1: that you Actually need, we're talking about things that I
- 0:23Speaker 1: believe really work properly and holistically. It's not these like
- 0:28Speaker 1: a thousand things that you've got to do to get
- 0:30Speaker 1: your year started. This is kind of a reset in
- 0:32Speaker 1: the sense that you're trying to ground yourself. You're trying
- 0:35Speaker 1: to feel grounded, calmer than ever, and you're paying attention
- 0:38Speaker 1: to the things that are actually going to make you
- 0:40Speaker 1: feel overall happier. Now for some people that might be
- 0:43Speaker 1: crazy goal setting and working your ass off, and for
- 0:45Speaker 1: other people it's just like, I just want way more
- 0:47Speaker 1: stability and peace of mind, and I want to feel
- 0:50Speaker 1: good about myself coming into this year. I want to
- 0:52Speaker 1: feel good about what I do, good about how I'm
- 0:54Speaker 1: spending my time, my relationships, and most importantly, my relationship
- 0:58Speaker 1: with myself. No matter where you sit on that spectrum
- 1:01Speaker 1: of the kinds of goals that you want to achieve,
- 1:03Speaker 1: internal or external, I think that this kind of reset
- 1:07Speaker 1: is going to benefit you regardless of where you sit there.
- 1:09Speaker 1: So this like I said, is therefore, we're going to
- 1:11Speaker 1: be talking about one of the best ways to master
- 1:15Speaker 1: like to have self mastery, especially mastery over the mind,
- 1:19Speaker 1: and we're talking about changing the physical and then the
- 1:22Speaker 1: mental will follow. I think that's going to be the
- 1:24Speaker 1: title of the episode. I always decide the title of
- 1:26Speaker 1: the episode. Well, not always, but most of the time
- 1:28Speaker 1: is straight after when I'm in the editing process of
- 1:31Speaker 1: my episodes, just because sometimes I can really flesh out
- 1:34Speaker 1: what it's called. So I think that's what I'm titling it.
- 1:36Speaker 1: But if it's got a different title, that's why. So
- 1:38Speaker 1: hopefully you've already listened to the last three days already,
- 1:41Speaker 1: which is I kind of really remember the titles exactly,
- 1:45Speaker 1: but you know what they are, and go listen to them, because, honestly,
- 1:49Speaker 1: I think especially the first one, but I think having
- 1:52Speaker 1: to listen to the first one will help you settle
- 1:54Speaker 1: well into the other ones, and then the other ones
- 1:56Speaker 1: maybe you can listen to it in a different order
- 1:58Speaker 1: or the ones that really sing out to you. Anyway,
- 2:01Speaker 1: let's talk about today's little thing and ideally write things down.
- 2:07Speaker 1: If you're doing this mini series, I want you to
- 2:09Speaker 1: look at it as like an actual reset. You're going
- 2:12Speaker 1: to pause reset, take the two weeks, really delve into it.
- 2:17Speaker 1: If possible, try and apply what you're learning as you go,
- 2:20Speaker 1: so it's not all in one day. If you do
- 2:22Speaker 1: it all in one day, my hat goes off to
- 2:24Speaker 1: you and your accomplices. But yeah, try and do it
- 2:29Speaker 1: as you go, and you're going to find that, you know,
- 2:31Speaker 1: these little changes that you make every single day will
- 2:33Speaker 1: make a difference. Okay, so write it down, and if
- 2:35Speaker 1: you're not writing it down, then listen to this episode
- 2:37Speaker 1: again later today and write it down the second time round.
- 2:40Speaker 1: So we're talking about two different ways that we're going
- 2:46Speaker 1: to change the physical or work on the physical, and
- 2:49Speaker 1: how that's going to help us work on the mind.
- 2:52Speaker 1: I genuinely believe that it is easier to train the
- 2:56Speaker 1: body than it is to train the mind, because it
- 3:00Speaker 1: is something that's a lot easier to measure, The results
- 3:02Speaker 1: are easier to kind of experience and feel, and it's
- 3:07Speaker 1: very tangible, you know, Whereas with the mind, it's a
- 3:11Speaker 1: lot harder to see consistent progress or discipline within the mind.
- 3:15Speaker 1: So when you start to really discipline the body, you
- 3:19Speaker 1: then realize, Okay, now I'm able to discipline the mind.
- 3:22Speaker 1: They go very much hand in hand, and for those
- 3:24Speaker 1: of you that really can't discipline yourself mentally, then I
- 3:28Speaker 1: highly recommend you listen to this episode because it will
- 3:30Speaker 1: make a difference for you. Now, there's two stages that
- 3:33Speaker 1: we're going to talk about. One is for self esteem
- 3:35Speaker 1: and the other one is for mastery of the self.
- 3:38Speaker 1: So the first one I want to talk about is
- 3:40Speaker 1: self esteem. And the reason why it's important to talk
- 3:43Speaker 1: about the physical and how that links to self esteem
- 3:46Speaker 1: is because when we do things for our body, whether
- 3:48Speaker 1: it be appearance wise, style wise, whether it be things
- 3:50Speaker 1: to make us ourselves feel better, as far as like
- 3:52Speaker 1: our skin, something we do for our hair, something that
- 3:54Speaker 1: we do just for our physicality, and it's just for yourself.
- 3:58Speaker 1: It's not about I've got to look at every time
- 3:59Speaker 1: I live. It's something that you're doing physically that's going
- 4:02Speaker 1: to make you feel better. Your self esteem is going
- 4:05Speaker 1: to go up, and then when you do that, your
- 4:08Speaker 1: motivation will go up. So self esteem is a huge
- 4:11Speaker 1: predictor for motivation for external things, even if they're not
- 4:15Speaker 1: directly related. If you feel good about yourself, then you're
- 4:18Speaker 1: going to want to do more for yourself, whether that
- 4:21Speaker 1: be for ambition, for your relationships, for your other areas,
- 4:25Speaker 1: and your health, all of the above. Okay, So it's
- 4:28Speaker 1: not about external validation either. It's kind of it's not
- 4:33Speaker 1: make yourself objectively hot so people compliment you and then
- 4:37Speaker 1: I can feel good about myself. It's not I've got
- 4:39Speaker 1: to do all these things in my physical self so
- 4:43Speaker 1: I get validation from other people. It comes down to
- 4:47Speaker 1: things that you can do to make yourself feel good.
- 4:50Speaker 1: So that's going to be different for everyone, and it's
- 4:52Speaker 1: kind of something that you've got to say, I would
- 4:54Speaker 1: feel good even if I didn't bump into anyone else
- 4:57Speaker 1: doing this thing. Okay. So that's how you know if
- 4:59Speaker 1: you're doing it for external validation or if you're doing
- 5:01Speaker 1: it because it makes yourself feel good. Like for some
- 5:04Speaker 1: people that say, when I started wearing much nicer underwear,
- 5:07Speaker 1: underwear that I really liked to look at, that I
- 5:10Speaker 1: felt good in. And I'm talking about laundry and talking
- 5:12Speaker 1: about any fucking underwear, but underwear that made you happy.
- 5:15Speaker 1: No one necessarily maybe your partner of the person you're
- 5:17Speaker 1: going to shog, but even if you just wear it
- 5:18Speaker 1: under your clothes, they feel better they felt like, Oh,
- 5:21Speaker 1: I feel like I'm I'm important enough to wear this
- 5:24Speaker 1: just for me feel really good like I really liked
- 5:26Speaker 1: that feeling. Some people, it's when I did my skincare
- 5:30Speaker 1: routine properly at the start of the day, and at
- 5:32Speaker 1: the end of the day, my self esteem went up.
- 5:33Speaker 1: I felt like I was taking the time to really
- 5:35Speaker 1: look after my skin. And I really liked that when
- 5:37Speaker 1: you do an everything shower again, someone might not know
- 5:41Speaker 1: that you've done and everything shower, but it feels really
- 5:43Speaker 1: good in the body. You've done something for yourself and
- 5:45Speaker 1: you've done that everything shower. For some people, they say,
- 5:47Speaker 1: when I really put myself together, even if I don't
- 5:50Speaker 1: leave the house, if I do my hair properly, if
- 5:52Speaker 1: I do my makeup, and if I wear an outfit
- 5:54Speaker 1: that's normally i'd only reserve for when I leave the house.
- 5:57Speaker 1: But I wear an outfit where I feel really confident
- 5:59Speaker 1: in even if I'm just running basic errands, we're mainly
- 6:01Speaker 1: staying in the house. I noticed that I get way
- 6:03Speaker 1: more shit done, so personally, I know that if I
- 6:07Speaker 1: and I'm not talking a full face of makeup, but
- 6:09Speaker 1: if I put on bit of blush, bit of you know,
- 6:12Speaker 1: BB cream, some mascara. I actually brush my hair or
- 6:16Speaker 1: slick it back, and I wear a nice active wear set.
- 6:20Speaker 1: I am on fire. I clean the house like there's
- 6:23Speaker 1: no tomorrow. I am in the zone. I am organizing things.
- 6:26Speaker 1: I'm organizing my desktop. There's a lot going on, okay,
- 6:30Speaker 1: Versus if I'm it's kind of the attitude if I
- 6:33Speaker 1: kind of roll out of bed and I think, nah,
- 6:34Speaker 1: I can't be fuck to really get changed. I'll still
- 6:36Speaker 1: wear these kind of like half tracks a half pajamas
- 6:39Speaker 1: are like, that's more of a pajama day, and I'm
- 6:41Speaker 1: going to do that if I have a scheduled pajama
- 6:43Speaker 1: day where I'm scheduling to do nothing. But if I
- 6:46Speaker 1: kind of roll out of bed with that attitude, personally,
- 6:50Speaker 1: I feel like and also psychologically, you're kind of telling
- 6:53Speaker 1: yourself where it's half fast today, it's a half fast
- 6:55Speaker 1: approach today. So I'm not really like in the zone
- 6:57Speaker 1: about this. So you have to ask yourself, what is
- 7:00Speaker 1: it that I do that makes me feel really good
- 7:03Speaker 1: when I go out good in my own skin, even
- 7:05Speaker 1: if no one was to compliment me. So if you're
- 7:07Speaker 1: going out with your girlfriends and you are about to
- 7:10Speaker 1: leave the house and say I am on fire. That feeling,
- 7:13Speaker 1: if I've put myself together, I feel really good. Maybe
- 7:16Speaker 1: I've moisturized, maybe I've worn a perfume that I fucking love.
- 7:19Speaker 1: I feel like I'm worth putting in the effort for me.
- 7:23Speaker 1: That feeling is going to increase your self esteem because
- 7:26Speaker 1: you've done it for yourself. You said I'm important enough
- 7:28Speaker 1: to do it just for me, And then when you
- 7:30Speaker 1: feel that way, your motivation is going to go up.
- 7:34Speaker 1: If I dress for myself when I record an episode, like,
- 7:38Speaker 1: I don't care really if you guys think I look
- 7:40Speaker 1: frumpy on my videos or if you think I look
- 7:42Speaker 1: really well put together. Ultimately, especially for the podcast. It's
- 7:45Speaker 1: not that I never care at all about my parents,
- 7:47Speaker 1: because I do. I think most of us do. But
- 7:50Speaker 1: obviously my podcast, the main thing I care about is
- 7:52Speaker 1: the content. However, I think that I record better content
- 7:56Speaker 1: if I feel good in my skin when I sit
- 7:59Speaker 1: down to record, I feel like I've you know, put
- 8:01Speaker 1: in a little bit of effort, or even if it's
- 8:03Speaker 1: just my favorite active way, even if other people don't
- 8:06Speaker 1: think I've put an effort, that kind of thing really
- 8:09Speaker 1: makes me feel better about recording the episode, I feel
- 8:11Speaker 1: like I'm in a better wavelength. I feel I've got
- 8:14Speaker 1: a better energy. If I've done a proper routine in
- 8:16Speaker 1: the morning, it all makes me feel better, and that
- 8:19Speaker 1: I believe does translate through in the episode. Okay, so
- 8:23Speaker 1: I want you to think on, what are the things
- 8:26Speaker 1: that I can do to work on myself physically that's
- 8:29Speaker 1: going to change my self esteem? What's going to make me,
- 8:33Speaker 1: you know, change my posture carrying myself differently? You know,
- 8:36Speaker 1: because your mindset, your mind starts to mirror that. If
- 8:39Speaker 1: when I have a good outfit and I've got my
- 8:41Speaker 1: favorite perfume on, I walk taller, then everything's going to change.
- 8:44Speaker 1: When I walk taller, I breathe deeper, my shoulders back,
- 8:47Speaker 1: I feel better about myself. I'm all of a sudden
- 8:49Speaker 1: way more confident. And now how does that translate across
- 8:52Speaker 1: If I'm feeling confident, I'm going to be believing in
- 8:54Speaker 1: myself a lot more. Maybe I should start working on
- 8:56Speaker 1: that project because my attitude towards that project is going
- 8:58Speaker 1: to be way more optimist. Stick the work that I
- 9:01Speaker 1: put in is going to be way more creative than
- 9:02Speaker 1: if I'm like, oh fuck, I feel like, shit, this
- 9:04Speaker 1: is a rubbish. Why am I bothering? Oh it's so
- 9:06Speaker 1: frum be I look like shit today and like, oh
- 9:07Speaker 1: my skin's so dry, and then I've run and then
- 9:11Speaker 1: you're not confident when you do that thing. Okay, so
- 9:13Speaker 1: ask yourself what are the things? What are those things?
- 9:16Speaker 1: And then on the days that you really want to
- 9:18Speaker 1: be creative, that you really want to put in the effort,
- 9:20Speaker 1: hopefully it's more days than not, you are going to
- 9:23Speaker 1: do that thing for you. And I don't care if
- 9:25Speaker 1: someone's like, oh, you even put makeup on at home
- 9:27Speaker 1: when you're like, do what works for you, because the
- 9:30Speaker 1: fuck what other people think? Who cares if someone's like,
- 9:32Speaker 1: oh my god, laying water? It doesn't matter. If you
- 9:34Speaker 1: feel good in your skin doing that thing. Trial it,
- 9:37Speaker 1: see if it works, See how that makes you feel. Now.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Another thing is maybe it's not makeup, hair or outfit.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Maybe it's like I know that when I take my creatine,
- 9:47Speaker 1: my vitamins and I have my half liter of water
- 9:50Speaker 1: before I start the day that I am in the zone.
- 9:53Speaker 1: I've done that for me. I've made it a priority
- 9:55Speaker 1: and it's just about me, and I feel really really
- 9:58Speaker 1: good doing that Okay, so certain things, it might be
- 10:02Speaker 1: something that you're taking in that you're ingesting. Some things
- 10:04Speaker 1: it might be that like a makeup or whatever. But
- 10:06Speaker 1: what is it for you? And you need to identify
- 10:08Speaker 1: And if you're embarrassed to admit that it's all superficial,
- 10:11Speaker 1: you don't have to tell anyone. You just have to
- 10:13Speaker 1: admit it to yourself. Because I know that I feel
- 10:16Speaker 1: better if I have a tiny bit of miscaa on,
- 10:18Speaker 1: I've done my hair, I'm wearing my favorite outfit whatever
- 10:20Speaker 1: that may be, or my favorite set of sneakers, love
- 10:23Speaker 1: my sneakers. Then I just feel better. That's just how
- 10:26Speaker 1: I feel, Sue me. I just feel better. When you
- 10:29Speaker 1: work on your self esteem, Like I said, your motivation
- 10:33Speaker 1: goes up, your confidence goes up. And this can be
- 10:37Speaker 1: kind of like this bleeds into so many areas of
- 10:39Speaker 1: your life. Not it doesn't have to be massive career milestones.
- 10:42Speaker 1: It can be, but other things, like I can get
- 10:45Speaker 1: through that list of tasks that normally I would get
- 10:48Speaker 1: so distracted on because I feel really good about myself.
- 10:50Speaker 1: I'm motivated, I'm confident, I'm in the zone. So now
- 10:53Speaker 1: I want to do things for my future self. I
- 10:55Speaker 1: want to keep this feel good streak going. And I
- 10:59Speaker 1: know that if I did this stuff, i'd feel good
- 11:01Speaker 1: or better at the end of the day. Okay, So
- 11:04Speaker 1: you're going to be less distracted, You're going to be
- 11:05Speaker 1: less pacifying because you're less uncomfortable when more likely to
- 11:09Speaker 1: pacify and reach for distractions when we're more uncomfortable. When
- 11:12Speaker 1: you feel really good and confident and in the zone,
- 11:15Speaker 1: you're more likely to do things that continue to be
- 11:17Speaker 1: fulfilling to you. And then you're going to be able
- 11:22Speaker 1: to then use that energy as momentum to do other things,
- 11:25Speaker 1: whether that be career wise, whether it be go and
- 11:28Speaker 1: do more movement for your body, more things for your
- 11:31Speaker 1: mental health, more things for whatever it is in your life. Okay.
- 11:34Speaker 1: So this then leads me into talking about physical movement. Okay.
- 11:39Speaker 1: When you can do things with your body, it's going
- 11:42Speaker 1: to positively impact your mental space, your mental health, your focus,
- 11:47Speaker 1: your creativity, your everything. Okay. And not just because this
- 11:51Speaker 1: is a too pronged approach, not just because of all
- 11:53Speaker 1: the neurochemicals that are involved when you move your body.
- 11:56Speaker 1: Because of course, like I said in the past, you
- 11:59Speaker 1: know exces, especially getting outside fresh air, getting sun like
- 12:03Speaker 1: while you're exercising all these things, it's going to have
- 12:06Speaker 1: this cascade of really positive effects. With your neurochemicals such
- 12:09Speaker 1: as serotonin, dopamine, you're going to get that natural high
- 12:12Speaker 1: dopamine you're going to feel and dolphins as well, which
- 12:16Speaker 1: is your body's natural painkiller, so it helps actually you know, literally,
- 12:20Speaker 1: and dolphins help ease mental pain but also physical pain,
- 12:25Speaker 1: and then you're going to feel really good. And that's
- 12:26Speaker 1: why I always recommend if you're someone that has like
- 12:28Speaker 1: a really low flat morning, movement in the morning is
- 12:31Speaker 1: one of the best things you can do from a
- 12:33Speaker 1: neurochemical standpoint to increase your motivation and your productivity. But
- 12:38Speaker 1: separate to all the benefits from the neurochemicals, you are
- 12:42Speaker 1: setting a bit of a standard on discipline as you
- 12:46Speaker 1: start to move your body more and more, and it
- 12:48Speaker 1: can start with I'm going to walk two k's every morning,
- 12:51Speaker 1: one k every morning, whatever that starting point is. You
- 12:54Speaker 1: start realizing I'm disciplining the body. What used to be
- 12:58Speaker 1: difficult is now easy, and I can improve on that.
- 13:01Speaker 1: I can now do two ks. Now I can maybe
- 13:03Speaker 1: jog half a k and then walk half of whatever
- 13:05Speaker 1: it is I'm going to do x amount of push
- 13:09Speaker 1: ups to day, and then I can increase that I'm
- 13:11Speaker 1: going to do this class and do all the easy options.
- 13:13Speaker 1: Then I'm going to start to go harder. You'll start
- 13:15Speaker 1: to realize I am now disciplining my body. What I
- 13:19Speaker 1: was unable to do in the past, I am now
- 13:21Speaker 1: able to do. The more you are able to discipline
- 13:24Speaker 1: the body with harder tasks and seeing it through and
- 13:27Speaker 1: seeing it through consistently, you start to train this resilience,
- 13:31Speaker 1: and that resilience translates across very swiftly to mental resilience,
- 13:37Speaker 1: This idea that I have to sit down and focus.
- 13:40Speaker 1: In the past, you might not have been able to
- 13:42Speaker 1: do that, But now that you've started training the body,
- 13:45Speaker 1: that training is occurring in the brain, which then translates
- 13:48Speaker 1: across to I can sit for longer periods, I can
- 13:51Speaker 1: focus for longer periods. I can discipline my mind because
- 13:54Speaker 1: I've been able to discipline my body. Okay, so this
- 13:58Speaker 1: is a really big theme in like it's one of
- 14:00Speaker 1: like the core principles of stoicism, this kind of constant
- 14:05Speaker 1: physical training and physical effort. It's like the mental muscle
- 14:09Speaker 1: for overall self mastery. So I think it's really important
- 14:12Speaker 1: that you take that on board. I personally find that
- 14:16Speaker 1: I'm much more in the zone when I'm consistently like
- 14:21Speaker 1: training my body and not even necessarily training, but disciplining
- 14:25Speaker 1: my body. The same goes for stretching. It doesn't have
- 14:27Speaker 1: to be a hard core workout. But if I sit
- 14:28Speaker 1: down and do that ten minute stretch and I make
- 14:30Speaker 1: my body do that fucking stretch every day, or the
- 14:33Speaker 1: five times a day a day, the five times a week,
- 14:37Speaker 1: I notice that I'm more on task with other things. Okay,
- 14:40Speaker 1: physical mastery of the physical will equal mastery of the
- 14:43Speaker 1: psychological and the mental, all right, So even this also
- 14:49Speaker 1: goes for even short allocations of time. So we start
- 14:52Speaker 1: with short allocations of time and that will still you're
- 14:54Speaker 1: still going to see those results translated across. So what
- 14:56Speaker 1: I want you to do today for today's episode of
- 14:59Speaker 1: for Today's home work is look at the two categories.
- 15:02Speaker 1: The one categorism doing things to make myself feel good
- 15:04Speaker 1: for my self esteem externally, because there's a lot that
- 15:07Speaker 1: at most of my podcast talks about changing your relationship
- 15:10Speaker 1: with yourself through mental tasks or through thoughts, beliefs, through
- 15:14Speaker 1: cognitive behavioral therapy. Through those processes. But for today we're
- 15:19Speaker 1: talking and I'm in I do talk about physical but
- 15:21Speaker 1: today specifically, I want you to think about what can
- 15:24Speaker 1: I physically do to make myself feel better for my
- 15:27Speaker 1: self esteem? Is it the perfume? Is it? The skin care?
- 15:31Speaker 1: Is it? The what I'm eating in the mornings? Is it?
- 15:34Speaker 1: Hair and makeup? Is it? My outfit? Is it? What
- 15:36Speaker 1: is it? Where? What is it that I can do
- 15:40Speaker 1: for myself that, even if I didn't see anyone, so
- 15:43Speaker 1: that proves that it's not for external validation, I still
- 15:46Speaker 1: felt unbelievable. I felt more confident, I loved myself sick
- 15:50Speaker 1: because I did that. And you're going to do more
- 15:52Speaker 1: of that for yourself, even if you're at home all
- 15:54Speaker 1: day long alone. If you want to put a full
- 15:56Speaker 1: face of makeup on and do your hair because you
- 15:58Speaker 1: know it's going to make you feel more confident and
- 16:00Speaker 1: therefore is going to make you do more tasks that
- 16:03Speaker 1: help your future self, You're gonna go ahead and do
- 16:05Speaker 1: that thing. Okay, it's completely It's your body. You're the canvas.
- 16:11Speaker 1: You choose what to do with it. But I'm telling
- 16:12Speaker 1: you right now, identify those things and do them more often. Okay,
- 16:17Speaker 1: I can't tell you what that is. You have to decide.
- 16:19Speaker 1: So that's the first pillar. You're going to do that
- 16:21Speaker 1: and do a week trial, do a two week trial,
- 16:23Speaker 1: and notice the difference. Notice how much more motivated you
- 16:26Speaker 1: feel when you do things for you for your self esteem.
- 16:28Speaker 1: And then the other pillar that I want you working
- 16:30Speaker 1: on is training off the body. You decide, is it
- 16:34Speaker 1: you in yoga that you're going to start doing every
- 16:36Speaker 1: afternoon or every evening when everyone's gone to bed, you
- 16:38Speaker 1: do you know half an hour or a flow of
- 16:41Speaker 1: yoga or is it polite is or is it walking
- 16:43Speaker 1: around the block? No matter what I will in the rain,
- 16:45Speaker 1: I don't care, but I am going to discipline myself
- 16:47Speaker 1: that no matter what, at seven pm on the dot,
- 16:49Speaker 1: I'm walking around the block. Whatever it is, pick a
- 16:52Speaker 1: physical task and do it as often as possible. Okay,
- 16:58Speaker 1: So when you are able to do that, you're going
- 17:00Speaker 1: to notice crazy mastery of the self. So that's pretty
- 17:04Speaker 1: much the episode of today. So they're your two tasks.
- 17:08Speaker 1: They are your two homework tasks. Now, I'm loving all
- 17:11Speaker 1: the comments on Spotify when people are writing in and
- 17:14Speaker 1: replying to all these So if you listen to my
- 17:15Speaker 1: podcast or watch the video on Spotify. Please write in
- 17:19Speaker 1: the comments because everyone was commenting about me singing and
- 17:22Speaker 1: my apology to the person that didn't like missing on
- 17:24Speaker 1: my episodes, but I sung out the apologies, so I
- 17:27Speaker 1: love that everyone appreciated that. Thank you so much. But
- 17:31Speaker 1: separate to that, I would love you guys to comment
- 17:34Speaker 1: on what it is that you are going to do
- 17:36Speaker 1: for the physical mastery. So if you watch on Spotify
- 17:39Speaker 1: or listen on Spotify, please comment below on this episode
- 17:41Speaker 1: and just tell me what it is that you do
- 17:43Speaker 1: for your physical mastery. Is it going to be a
- 17:45Speaker 1: walk around the block. Is it going to be ten
- 17:47Speaker 1: push ups every night? Is it going to be going
- 17:49Speaker 1: and doing an actual CrossFit class or whatever it is.
- 17:52Speaker 1: I would love to hear what you have to do
- 17:55Speaker 1: handstand training, is training for the splits. It could be
- 17:57Speaker 1: something abstract, doesn't have to be full on workout that
- 18:00Speaker 1: but something physical that requires you disciplining the body and
- 18:05Speaker 1: then how that translates into disciplining the mind. So tell
- 18:08Speaker 1: me what you were going to do to discipline the
- 18:09Speaker 1: body and what you're going to do for your self esteem?
- 18:11Speaker 1: What is your thing the thing that makes you feel
- 18:14Speaker 1: confident in your skin if you were to do that
- 18:16Speaker 1: thing and it doesn't require external validation and compliments. Cool.
- 18:22Speaker 1: That is all for today's episode, guys, Thank you so
- 18:24Speaker 1: much for listening. As I said, comment below, and please
- 18:27Speaker 1: go check out the last three episodes as well. And
- 18:30Speaker 1: if you are doing all of those things, then please
- 18:33Speaker 1: either dam me on Instagram, email me at info at
- 18:36Speaker 1: dyfmpod dot com, or comment on the episodes and let
- 18:39Speaker 1: me know what you're putting into practice, what's working for you,
- 18:43Speaker 1: what might be challenging for you, was challenging in the past,
- 18:45Speaker 1: and you're hoping to change now. Because I love hearing
- 18:48Speaker 1: from you guys, and I love this feedback, and then
- 18:50Speaker 1: I'm able to use it in other episodes and address
- 18:53Speaker 1: particular questions that you guys might have. So as always remember,
- 18:56Speaker 1: be kind to yourself, be kind to your brain, don't
- 18:58Speaker 1: take shit from anyone, and especially don't take shit from yourself.
