- 0:00Could rebuilding your life cause destruction?
- 0:03Could it stir up an old evil? When a family loses their father
- 0:09in a blaze, the widow and her two children are looking for a
- 0:13fresh start. But after moving into what was
- 0:16supposed to be their next chapter, they soon would
- 0:20discover that they aren't. It's only inhabitants as
- 0:24entities emerge from the walls to collect their very souls.
- 0:29Will they survive or be consumed by the darkness that surrounds
- 0:35them? This is the untold story of the
- 0:38demonic Long Island Haunting, also known as the Long Island
- 0:43Terror of New York. This one, even for me, is such
- 0:47an insane story. Again, I will advise you to not
- 0:51watch this episode alone or in the dark.

- 1:30Our story begins as a building blazes in the Bronx, NY.
- 1:34Firefighters attempting to extinguish the blaze have become
- 1:38trapped inside the four story complex right at the very top.
- 1:47Sadly, all six of them are forced to choose between jumping
- 1:52or succumbing to the flames. Several of the men survive and
- 1:58several do not. Lieutenant Curtis Mayran of
- 2:02Battalion 26, the husband of Jeanette Mayran, did not.
- 2:08Kurt wasn't just a firefighter. He was a family man, a loving
- 2:13husband, and a father of two. His passing was not only
- 2:17completely unexpected, but downright devastating to all
- 2:22those involved. The saddening events shatter any
- 2:30resemblance of a planned future that Jeanette foresaw.
- 2:35Following the tragedy, she had to tell her two girls that they
- 2:39would never see their father again.
- 2:42The two are inconsolable. To make things worse, every day
- 2:47following the public announcement of what had
- 2:49happened, her home has been besieged by the media.
- 2:54No care, no compassion. They just wanted a word and a
- 2:59picture to sell their latest headline.
- 3:02The harassment was constant during this time, so thinking of
- 3:06how to solve a crisis, Jeanette begins to ask herself should she
- 3:10try and find a little small place somewhere for her and the
- 3:14girls to escape to, To start over at, to start fresh?
- 3:20With snow still melting outside, She takes them for a car ride
- 3:24one afternoon and seems to stumble across a deal that was
- 3:28an answer to her prayers. Located outside the city and
- 3:32with the rarity of an acre of land, sits a rather large home.
- 3:37It will need some work, but she thinks she could make that
- 3:41happen. From the moment she lays eyes on
- 3:44it, Jeanette feels that this is the one.
- 3:47This could be a way to give her girls and herself a new life.
- 3:53She jumps on the opportunity into her bewilderment.
- 3:57Her offer is accepted. Within a month, the Mayrans move
- 4:01from the home that Curtis built to a new home, a fresh start
- 4:06outside of the city. With the transfer of each bag
- 4:13and each box of belongings, they feel as if they're that much
- 4:16closer to peace, the thing that they really all wanted.
- 4:21The homes mentioned needed some restoration, but with Curtis
- 4:25being a firefighter, his brothers in service took it upon
- 4:29themselves to look out for his family.
- 4:32With all the manpower, the work should be done within a couple
- 4:36weeks. However, with the restoration of
- 4:40the home, devastation would follow.
- 4:47As the construction toils on and unfamiliar with the area with
- 4:52valuable tools being left around on occasion, as well as their
- 4:56own safety to worry about, Jen decides to put up security
- 5:00cameras to monitor things. In total, they have seven
- 5:04cameras installed around the property.
- 5:07The first night that the cameras go live, Jen is curious just
- 5:12what all they can see and detect.
- 5:14So with this being new technology to her, she sits in
- 5:18the living room on her computer, tuning into just what was taking
- 5:22place outside of her walls. It's night time and the cameras
- 5:27are in night vision mode, portraying black and white.
- 5:31As she clicks through the different cameras as the evening
- 5:34progresses, she doesn't see much.
- 5:37That was until in the middle of A-frame, she sees a man.
- 5:43This man is standing and staring at her home.
- 5:47Given the quality of the cameras at the time, she didn't panic,
- 5:52thinking perhaps that her eyes were playing tricks on her.
- 5:56To be safe, she makes sure that the home is entirely secure and
- 6:01eventually relaxes enough to be able to try and get some sleep.
- 6:07As an icy wind blows outside and the light snow trickles down and
- 6:13coats the earth, Jeanette and her two girls lay in their beds.
- 6:18Her mother and sister are asleep, to her knowledge, but
- 6:22Angela is particularly restless. She can't seem to sleep.
- 6:28Tossing and turning, she has an uneasy feeling in the pit of her
- 6:32stomach. As she toils away in her room,
- 6:36she is suddenly interrupted by a strange banging sound.
- 6:44As she sits up and listens, she hears it again.
- 6:49However, these thumps or knocks seem to be originating from
- 6:55inside the walls. Turning on her lamp and standing
- 7:00up out of bed, Angela begins to investigate as the noises
- 7:05progress in intensity. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to her,
- 7:11her younger sister Danine is woken up by the sound of someone
- 7:15banging on the outside of her closed bedroom door.
- 7:20Calling out to whoever was there, she has met with the
- 7:24reply of silence. Finding this strange to say the
- 7:29least, and confused after being woken up out of a sound sleep,
- 7:35the young girl gets out of bed slowly and apprehensively makes
- 7:40her way towards the door. As she turns the knob and peers
- 7:45through the opening, she soon swings the door open to reveal
- 7:52nothing, just an empty hallway leading to her sister's room
- 7:56across the way. At the same time, her sister
- 8:00Angela is still investigating the sounds coming from within
- 8:04the walls of her room. The banging has become more
- 8:10rhythmic, more aggressive. It seems as if someone or
- 8:15something is trying to get her attention.
- 8:20The sounds have been moving around her room and trying to
- 8:23pinpoint its location. She walks up to the wall beside
- 8:27her dresser and slowly places her ear close to the wall to
- 8:33listen. The banging instead has found
- 8:37her. With eyes wide.
- 8:40She steps back from the wall as the mysterious sound continues.
- 8:47Danine, meanwhile, unable to hear her sister's situation,
- 8:51closes her door and sits back on her bed.
- 8:56And almost as soon as she sits down, the knocking begins again,
- 9:01but this time it's shaking her entire tore.
- 9:06Scared, she rushes to put her head under her covers as each
- 9:12situation crescendos late into the night.
- 9:15The two poor girls are terrified and Needless to say, they don't
- 9:21end up getting much rest. The activity seems to cease at
- 9:27dawn the following morning. As their mom serves them
- 9:32breakfast. She notices that her two girls
- 9:35look exhausted asking what was going on with them.
- 9:40She is soon met with a series of questions such as was she the
- 9:45one knocking on the walls or on their doors?
- 9:49Was she walking all around the house and did she do these
- 9:53things all night long? Unsure of what to make of this,
- 9:57Jeanette hadn't heard anything throughout the night.
- 10:01She chalks it up to the girls dealing with the emotions of
- 10:04everything, moving homes and experiencing a new environment.
- 10:11She hoped that with due time they would warm up to the house
- 10:15and all would be well. The girls don't fully express
- 10:19their fear for lack of belief from their mom.
- 10:23So for this morning they continue to eat their breakfast
- 10:27together and try to move on to another topic as the girls go
- 10:32about their day. Jen would go upstairs to her
- 10:36girls rooms and investigate but would uncover nothing out of the
- 10:42ordinary. The renovations would continue
- 10:46and soon the firemen would find themselves within the basement
- 10:50of the home, described as unique with lots of debris.
- 10:55They demolish old boards and clear things out.
- 11:00As work toils on, the girls examine the backyard.
- 11:04They've never seen an area so big and although it's freezing
- 11:09outside, they've opted to explore.
- 11:13However, they began to discover some strange things about their
- 11:17new playground. They first noticed strange
- 11:21symbols carved into numerous trees on the property.
- 11:25Unsure of what to make of this as kids do, they use their
- 11:29imaginations. They decide that they want to
- 11:32design a map to help them hide things.
- 11:36They will use these stars, as they call them, as markers on
- 11:41their map. The two continue to explore and
- 11:45soon make another even stranger discovery.
- 11:49What appears to be several chipped bones tied together with
- 11:53a lace like material is dangling from a low hanging branch of one
- 12:00of the trees. Thinking it was really weird,
- 12:04but again unsure of what to make of it, the two continue to play
- 12:10as previous items, debris and old demolition waste is removed
- 12:15from the basement. Those firefighters volunteering
- 12:20soon make a discovery of their own.
- 12:23There, underneath the old floorboards etched into the
- 12:27concrete below, is an inverted pentagram.
- 12:32They soon call Jen to take a look, curious as to just what it
- 12:36could be. She comes down and sees it for
- 12:40the first time. As she glances at it, she begins
- 12:45to feel sick to her stomach. She instructs the men that she
- 12:50would like it covered back up, that she didn't want the girls
- 12:54to see it, and then would agree and simply lay new concrete over
- 13:00it. This way, her girls will never
- 13:03even know that it was there. The girls, however, still
- 13:08playing outside in their winter Wonderland, soon make yet
- 13:12another discovery. They begin to find several more
- 13:16stars made out of bones upon the ground.
- 13:21Thinking this was part of some game, they soon incorporate them
- 13:25into their play as well of the innocence of the child.
- 13:34Several days later, Jen has returned to work and has left
- 13:39Angela in charge of her younger sister.
- 13:42Angela has also been tasked with cleaning up the house.
- 13:47As she makes her way around checking off her list, she feels
- 13:52as if she's not alone. She keeps looking over her
- 13:56shoulder, but nothing seems to be there.
- 14:01Turning once again to get back to cleaning, within seconds she
- 14:06hears an ear shattering noise. Her eyes shoot to the origin of
- 14:12where she believed the sound had come from, and the poor girl
- 14:17can't believe what she's seeing. The entire kitchen has been
- 14:22flipped upside down, pans and dishes thrown out of their
- 14:27cabinets, silverware that was inside the drawer is now all
- 14:32over the place, and not knowing what else to do, she screams and
- 14:38flees. Hours later, Jen, upon arriving
- 14:44home from work, walks into an eerily quiet house in her own
- 14:50words. When I walked inside, everything
- 14:54was very quiet. I glanced into the kitchen and
- 14:58every cabinet, every drawer was emptied.
- 15:03The place looked like it had been ransacked.
- 15:06I called out for Angela but got no response, thinking her
- 15:12daughter had had a tantrum of sorts.
- 15:15Jing goes on the hunt for Angela after not receiving a verbal
- 15:19response from her. Running up the stairs, she finds
- 15:24her holding a stuffed animal and staring blankly ahead in her
- 15:29room. When confronted, Angela tells
- 15:33her mother what had happened and thankfully Jen believes her.
- 15:39She recognizes the sincerity in her child's eyes and voice.
- 15:45The following day, when both of the children are out, Jen greets
- 15:50a few workers down in the basement who are putting the
- 15:53finishing touches on things. One of them had found something
- 15:58while working. It was several old looking
- 16:02pieces of paper tied together with some kind of white lace.
- 16:08Handing the papers to Jen, she begins to unfurl the pages.
- 16:13The opening date goes back to the year 1927, the year that the
- 16:19home was originally built. Scouring the pages For more
- 16:24information from what she gathers, Jen makes out that the
- 16:29person who wrote this diary of sorts seems to be a young girl,
- 16:35perhaps the daughter of someone who had lived at the house in
- 16:38the past. As she continues to read, she
- 16:43finds out that the girl's name was Christina, and Christina's
- 16:47story took a rather dark turn within the diary.
- 16:54She began to describe how her father would hurt animals upon A
- 16:59star in the basement, and the descriptions became darker and
- 17:06more graphic as the pages progressed.
- 17:10Disturbed by what she had just read, Jen decides that no one
- 17:15needs to know about what went on here.
- 17:18That if the things written were true.
- 17:21But the past tenants were very sick people and she, now living
- 17:27there, wanted to wash her hands of all of their doings and
- 17:32pretend, essentially, that nothing happened in this place
- 17:36that her and her children now call home.
- 17:40And who can blame her? Except some things don't stay
- 17:44buried. The following day, as Jen is
- 17:48cleaning house, she is suddenly startled by a massive boom that
- 17:54rocks the entire house. Shocked initially by the
- 17:58unexpected blast, she realizes that it's coming from the
- 18:03basement below her. Worried that something had
- 18:06exploded, she apprehensively makes her way to the door and
- 18:12with flashlight in hand, slowly begins her descension down the
- 18:18stairs. Reaching the concrete floor, she
- 18:23scans the room for any signs of what could potentially have
- 18:27caused the commotion. Stepping forward and peering
- 18:31around, her, flashlight suddenly dies.
- 18:37Gem then begins to feel as if the oxygen in the room is being
- 18:42consumed at a rapid pace and an overwhelming sense of dread
- 18:48begins to overtake her. Running up the stairs as fast as
- 18:52she can and slamming the door behind her, she felt as if she
- 18:57was in the presence of pure evil.
- 19:02Still worried and not knowing if it was something to do with the
- 19:05plumbing or what have you, Jen needs to address the potential
- 19:10cause but is too frightened to continue, so she lays it on the
- 19:15back burner, so to speak. Later that night, after she's
- 19:20fed the family dinner, Jen is busy cleaning up while Angela is
- 19:25in her room and Danine is taking a shower.
- 19:29Angela, who had been sitting on her bed and reading a magazine,
- 19:35suddenly begins to hear the faintest of whispers.
- 19:40It sounds like multiple people whispering at once from a
- 19:44distance. Perplexed, the child gets up and
- 19:49attempts to seek the origin of where these mysterious whispers
- 19:53are coming from. As she steps towards her door,
- 19:57the whispers row louder to the point to where some discernment
- 20:02is possible. The whispering seems to be a
- 20:05back and forth conversation. Amongst two people, but in a
- 20:10very secretive manner. Sounding like it's just outside
- 20:15of her door, Angela throws the door open only to reveal nothing
- 20:22but the hallway. And as she does this, the
- 20:26whispers simultaneously cease. Perplexed further, she closes
- 20:33the door and begins to head back to her bed.
- 20:36But the whispers start again. Heading back towards the door,
- 20:42she listens in on the two again, and this time she begins to hear
- 20:47the name of her sister mentioned in this secretive conversation.
- 20:53Meanwhile, as Angela is having her own experience, Danine, who
- 20:59is showering, began to have her own experience as well.
- 21:03Feeling as if she was being watched but trying to shake the
- 21:07feeling off. She tries to finish her shower,
- 21:12but hearing the bathroom door creak open puts the poor girl on
- 21:16edge. Calling out of the steam tinted
- 21:19glass asking if it was her mother or Angela who had entered
- 21:25the bathroom, she is soon met with something horrifying.
- 21:30Although blurred by the steam on the glass, she sees the
- 21:34silhouette, the large creature. This thing appeared to have
- 21:40pointed ears and grotesque features.
- 21:44The scared young woman is reduced to terror in the corner
- 21:48of the shower, screaming for her mother.
- 21:53Across the hallway upstairs, Angela, who had overheard what
- 21:58sounded like two people whispering about her sister,
- 22:02pulls the door open when she hears her sister's cries and
- 22:06rushes towards the bathroom. At the same time, Jen also runs
- 22:12upstairs, startled by the cries of her daughter.
- 22:17They try to open the bathroom door, but it won't budget.
- 22:21It seemingly locks from the other side as the women
- 22:26frantically try to get inside to save Demine.
- 22:29She continues to scream for them as this creature presses its
- 22:34face and hand against the glass, unveiling black rotting skin,
- 22:43yellow eyes and sharp teeth. Finally, the door opens, as if
- 22:51the unseen hands keeping it closed vanished, rushing inside
- 22:56to assist the poor girl. They find her shaking with the
- 23:00shower still running. Turning off the water and
- 23:04placing a towel on her. Jane quickly gets all of them
- 23:08out of the bathroom. But now as they stand in the
- 23:12hallway, all of the doors within the home that were open close on
- 23:18their own. Simultaneously, a dark demonic
- 23:23chanting begins to fill the house as it grows louder and
- 23:30more oppressive, as if some abomination from their worst
- 23:35nightmare was inching ever closer.
- 23:38The fear amongst them exponentially grows.
- 23:43Running to Jen's bedroom, opening the door and rushing
- 23:47inside before closing the door behind them to barricade
- 23:52themselves from whatever was approaching.
- 23:56Jen holds the door shut in case whatever this thing is tries to
- 24:01come inside with. All three of them, in hysterical
- 24:05tears, begin to cry for their father, Jen's husband, their
- 24:11slain protector. Something begins to slam into
- 24:15the door, trying to break it down as the noise outside
- 24:20intensifies. All three of them are
- 24:24desperately calling out for Curtis, although they don't feel
- 24:28his presence. Just as quickly as it had begun,
- 24:33the evil outside of the door and all of its chaos abruptly stop.
- 24:41The following day, desperate to talk to someone but feeling like
- 24:46she'd be judged for being crazy, Jen contemplates who she can
- 24:52confide in. A longtime friend of her husband
- 24:56named Tony had been there for her and the girls since
- 25:00everything had happened. If anyone was going to believe
- 25:04her, it would be him. So she gives him a call and
- 25:10within 1/2 hour he arrives at the house.
- 25:14After sitting down together at the kitchen table, Jen explains
- 25:18everything to him, from the discovery of the pentagram in
- 25:22the basement to what they had been experiencing, and
- 25:27especially the horror that had taken place just the night
- 25:32before. After hearing Jin's synopsis,
- 25:36Tony decides to go into the basement to take a look around.
- 25:41After guiding him to the door, Jin refuses to go down with him,
- 25:46so after being handed a flashlight, Tony descends the
- 25:50stairs alone. In his own words, he didn't fear
- 25:54much in life, but while in the basement, he couldn't help but
- 25:59get the feeling that something was watching him, as if there
- 26:03was an oppressive atmosphere of sorts.
- 26:07He had trouble breathing and wanted to get out of there as
- 26:10soon as he could. Suddenly, as he walks around, he
- 26:16is spooked by the sound of a door rattling.
- 26:21As he approaches the door, the rattling continues, further
- 26:27unnerving Tony. Not wanting to delay the
- 26:30inevitable, he decides to throw the door open, and when he does,
- 26:37he reveals an empty room. There's absolutely nothing
- 26:42physically there. Already freaked out, he steps
- 26:47outside of the small room that the door concealed, and the
- 26:51moment that he gets outside of the doorway, the door itself
- 26:56slammed shut. It was with this extra action
- 27:00that Tony decides it's time for him to get the hell out of
- 27:03there. Tony, who had worked over 25
- 27:07years as a corrections officer, truly feared very little, but
- 27:12what he had experienced down in that basement that day rattled
- 27:16him to the core. He explains what happened to
- 27:20Jen, but decides to leave shortly after the experience,
- 27:25moving forward to try and ease one another.
- 27:29While someone was showering, they decided to post someone
- 27:32outside of the door to keep the other company in case anything
- 27:37else happened. And interestingly, I've had to
- 27:41do the same thing in one of the homes that I lived in that was
- 27:45haunted, but that's a story for another day.
- 27:49But just so you know, I know exactly how they felt.
- 27:54With all of their money tied up in the house, Jen is desperate
- 27:58to try and find some kind of solution.
- 28:01Not a very religious person, but going on what she knew, she
- 28:06decides to call the Catholic Church for help.
- 28:10The following day, a priest arrives to assess the situation,
- 28:15conduct a blessing for the family.
- 28:17He not only agrees that there is something evil within the home,
- 28:21but strategizes with Jen on how to try and get rid of whatever
- 28:26this thing was. He conducts a blessing of the
- 28:29home, but also believes that it's important for Jen to find
- 28:34her inner faith and conduct blessings on a regular basis
- 28:39herself. So he provides her with gallons
- 28:44worth of holy water since the property is rather large, in
- 28:48which she places into spray bottles.
- 28:51Try and cover every square inch of the home during these
- 28:55blessings. One night, after conducting her
- 28:59blessing, Angela, who had become fairly withdrawn given the
- 29:04stress and trauma of the situation she found herself in,
- 29:09went outside to the swing set they had in their backyard.
- 29:14With it being night time, Jen decides to keep an eye on her
- 29:18using the cameras that she had previously installed.
- 29:22As Angela contemplates life and swings by herself, it soon
- 29:28becomes apparent that she is not alone.
- 29:33Jen, who was occasionally looking up at the laptop screen
- 29:37where the cameras were being monitored, soon sees something
- 29:42strange surrounding Angela. Out of nowhere were several
- 29:49dark, hooded figures. Jen, whose heart had felt as if
- 29:54it was going to explode, rushes as fast as she can towards the
- 29:59back door and towards her daughter's location.
- 30:04Angela was unaware of the figures her mother had seen had
- 30:09been keeping a steady normal pace on the swing set, when
- 30:13suddenly she is thrust out of her seat at a furious pace,
- 30:19causing her to smack the snow packed ground incredibly hard.
- 30:25Upon impact she hears a horrendous crack.
- 30:30Crying out in pain and for her mother, Angela is greeted by
- 30:35Jen, who begins to throw holy water all around, where the two
- 30:40are screaming and cursing at the figures who had hurt her
- 30:45daughter. Scrambling to get her to their
- 30:48vehicle as fast as she can, Jen then drives her immediately to
- 30:52the hospital. Upon arrival and examination,
- 30:56they discover that her foot and ankle are shattered.
- 31:01The following day, after returning from the hospital,
- 31:04Angela now wears a boot on her leg and is forced to stay in
- 31:08bed, further isolating her and keeping her within the confines
- 31:14of the house. Things seem to be relatively OK
- 31:18during the day, but when the sun goes down, the home begins to
- 31:23come alive. One night, incapacitated in her
- 31:28room and with Jen out running errands with her sister, Jen is
- 31:32alone on her bed. It's lightly snowing outside and
- 31:37the moonlight is peeking through her blinds.
- 31:41She begins to hear a faint knocking noise originating from
- 31:46her closet. Looking over, she notices her
- 31:50mirror looks strange, almost liquid.
- 31:55She then sees something that strikes absolute fear into her
- 32:00soul. A charred, black clawed hand
- 32:05begins emerging from her mirror, slowly and menacingly coming out
- 32:13more and more, beginning to scream.
- 32:18Angela does the only thing that she can do because she can't
- 32:22physically run away. Not only is her foot broken, but
- 32:27the mirror is right in front of her door.
- 32:30She quickly throws herself onto the floor and rolls underneath
- 32:34her bed, pinning herself as far back against the wall as she
- 32:40possibly can. The smell of decay fills the
- 32:44entire room as a creature slowly comes out of the mirror.
- 32:50From Angela's perspective, all she can see now is the gnarled
- 32:55feet of this entity as it steps towards the bed.
- 33:00Angela, grasping the home phone, frantically begins to dial her
- 33:06mother's number. On the other end, Jen picks up.
- 33:11She had been at the grocery store, but upon hearing her
- 33:14daughter screams, she leaves everything and immediately
- 33:19rushes towards the house. But she is 45 minutes away,
- 33:25pleading with her daughter to pray as she speeds on the slick
- 33:29roads, desperately trying to get home.
- 33:33She then hears a horrendous scream, something unearthly
- 33:38unlike anything she had ever heard before on the other end.
- 33:43And then the phone call drops. Angela, who had been uttering
- 33:50Hell Mary while on the phone with her mother, was suddenly
- 33:54met face to face with a demon. After rushing home as fast as
- 33:59she could, Jen opens the door to a dark and silent house.
- 34:05All the lights are off and she doesn't hear anyone or anything
- 34:12running up the stairs to Angela's room.
- 34:15She doesn't see her. With tears stringing down her
- 34:19face, she fears that the worst has happened, that whatever this
- 34:24horror was had hurt her daughter.
- 34:28She then hears the faintest whimper coming from underneath
- 34:32the bed. It's Angela.
- 34:35She's so weak and feeble that Jen has to drag her out from
- 34:40underneath the bed, relocating the girls to her room.
- 34:44Jen then searches for help online.
- 34:47She knows that her and the girls deserve a future, and at this
- 34:52rate, one of them may end up hurt again or worse.
- 34:57She discovers the number of a paranormal investigator by the
- 35:01name of Liz, calling the number out of desperation at
- 35:06approximately 3:00 in the morning.
- 35:08At this point, surprisingly, Liz picks up on the other end.
- 35:13After hearing Jen's harrowing story, she decides that she
- 35:17wants to help her and her family.
- 35:21Having researched the paranormal for over 15 years, she believes
- 35:25that she must conduct a cleansing of the home.
- 35:29So within several hours, shortly after Daybreak, Liz arrives
- 35:35accompanied by her friend and colleague, a woman who was a
- 35:39psychic medium by the name of Don Jolie.
- 35:44As soon as the ladies greet Jen at her door and step inside, Don
- 35:50begins to receive flashes of the past.
- 35:54She quickly believes that Colts conducted many rituals within
- 35:59the home, specifically in the basement, information that she
- 36:04had not been given ahead of time.
- 36:07She believes that these dark cults communicated with and
- 36:11purposefully conjured demonic entities, That the recent
- 36:16renovations had disturbed all the energy within the home.
- 36:20And on a side note, ironically, I also have experienced this as
- 36:25far as renovations disturbing any energy that can be within a
- 36:29home. But again, I'll share this at
- 36:32another time. After discussing what she
- 36:35believed to have happened within the house, the ladies decide to
- 36:39lay a circle of salt around the property.
- 36:42The idea being that it forms a barrier of sorts that no spirit
- 36:47can cross in or out of. To Jin, this was the beginning
- 36:52of the final showdown with these malevolent forces.
- 36:58After laying the circle whilst praying, the three head back
- 37:02inside where they light several bundles of sage.
- 37:06The three of them then, room by room, bless and cleanse,
- 37:13allowing the sage smoke to fill the air.
- 37:17Slowly but surely they do this for the entire house until they
- 37:23ultimately reach the basement, the apparent epicenter and the
- 37:28origin of the demonic activity. Together they descend the
- 37:34stairs, their chance of prayer filling the sage saturated air.
- 37:41Continuing throughout the basement, they began to hear
- 37:44what Jen and the children had previously heard, the loud
- 37:48chants, something in a language that they couldn't understand.
- 37:54And with each flick of holy water and prayer cast, they soon
- 38:00also begin to hear screams accompanying the chanting.
- 38:03And the whole episode slowly is reaching a crescendo.
- 38:10They finally approached the last space yet to be cleansed, the
- 38:14small room concealed by a door, the very same room that Tony had
- 38:22had his experience in. The door once again begins to
- 38:28violently shake. Wanting to finally end this, Jen
- 38:34approaches the door and throws it open, allowing the sage smoke
- 38:40to infiltrate the last remaining air of the home.
- 38:44All the three women prayed and flicked holy water into the
- 38:48space. Suddenly, flames erupted from
- 38:53the floor, revealing a screaming, charred demonic
- 38:59figure within, but only for the briefest of moments.
- 39:06Almost as soon as the screams were finished, leaving the
- 39:10women's mouths upon the side of this creature, the fire would
- 39:15extinguish and this long battle with the demonic would finally
- 39:22be over. The cleansing conducted by Liz
- 39:26and Dawn was indeed successful. Jen and her daughter still live
- 39:31in the home to this day. It just goes to show that evil
- 39:35forces that dwell just beyond the veil of this world have
- 39:40nothing but contempt for us. No tragedy, no sorrow can be
- 39:46grounds to be left alone, but rather they use these as
- 39:52exploits, ways to weaken, attack and consume those who are the
- 39:59most vulnerable. This family banded together and
- 40:04we're able to overcome the terror of the demonic, and for
- 40:09that I commend them. Just goes to show that love
- 40:14truly does conquer hate before we go.
- 40:20I did just want to say a few words about this incredibly
- 40:23scary case. I want to say that everyone
- 40:27involved, but especially Jen, Angela and Dineen, not only
- 40:32given everything that they had gone through with the passing of
- 40:35Curtis, but everything as a result of the horrendous
- 40:39haunting, truly had strength. They endured it all, pressed on
- 40:46and fought for their house and lives, and it just proves to me
- 40:50that these women were ridiculously strong and brave
- 40:54and I have nothing but the utmost respect for them.
- 40:58I also hope that given all of the information that I could
- 41:02find, that I did their story justice with my version of it.
- 41:08I did also have just a few questions about the case itself.
- 41:12I'm curious just what Colts could have been around the area
- 41:17at the time. Obviously I tried to research
- 41:20these, but particularly regarding Colts or the occult in
- 41:24general, it's really difficult to find information,
- 41:27particularly on the Internet about a particular local group.
- 41:31You know, It makes you wonder what kind of rituals are being
- 41:34conducted and for how long. Just who exactly was behind
- 41:38them, as in the individuals, and just what entities they were
- 41:44attempting to connect with or conjure up because it seems as
- 41:48though they were successful. I'm also curious if any of the
- 41:53bones that they ever found were human or if they ever found any
- 41:59proof of human burial upon the land itself.
- 42:03All questions that we'll probably never have answers to,
- 42:07but questions that I had nonetheless.
- 42:09I did mention that I had a few experiences that were very
- 42:12similar to the experiences that this family had.
- 42:16In this story, I will be making a video on what my paranormal
- 42:19experiences were and the ones that kind of shaped me into the
- 42:23person that I am today and why I started Mystery Archives in the
- 42:271st place. If you'd be interested in
- 42:30hearing them, please definitely let me know down in the comments
