- 0:00Speaker 1: Two different reasons. If I'm looking for upside, I'm taking Anthropic.
- 0:03Speaker 1: If I'm looking for pure upside, I'm taking Anthropic because
- 0:07Speaker 1: of the role that it's going to play in pretty
- 0:09Speaker 1: much every industry, which is why the government has to
- 0:12Speaker 1: figure out how they're going to either work with it
- 0:15Speaker 1: or figure out a way that it can incorporate it.
- 0:17Speaker 1: I think Anthropic is that important. And Dario has become,
- 0:22Speaker 1: he's won people over. He's certainly won people over. Yes.
- 0:25Speaker 2: He's become more of a face. He's speaking more.
- 0:27Speaker 1: I saw him with the announcement with Mark Benioff at
- 0:30Speaker 1: Salesforce and the partnership that they just announced when SaaSpocalypse
- 0:35Speaker 1: was the theme. He kind of literally changed the entire
- 0:38Speaker 1: software industry with that announcement. Apple, if I'm looking for
- 0:43Speaker 1: certainty and something that's steady and it's a trusted brand
- 0:49Speaker 1: and it's a long-term investment, I would choose that. But
- 0:52Speaker 1: if I'm looking for upside specifically, I'm going Anthropiq.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Shawty, what about you?
- 0:58Speaker 4: Apple.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Okay. Tell us why.
- 1:03Speaker 5: Well, it's lightning round, so I don't want to be
- 1:05Speaker 5: too long-winded, but it's a brand that you can believe in,
- 1:08Speaker 5: and defense is the best offense. So, yeah, definitely Anthropic
- 1:11Speaker 5: has more upside potential, but it also has more downside risks.
- 1:18Speaker 2: Who you got?
- 1:20Speaker 3: What are we looking for, safety or return?
- 1:25Speaker 2: Return. I think that's what most people are looking for.
- 1:29Speaker 4: It got to be a combination of the two.
- 1:35Speaker 6: I would say to me, pairing Anthropic and Apple together
- 1:39Speaker 6: in a portfolio is like in a dream world. If
- 1:41Speaker 6: I can put Tyrese Maxey and Kevin Durant together, one's
- 1:45Speaker 6: more seasoned, one's more up and coming, superstar.
- 1:48Speaker 3: So for clip purposes.
- 1:50Speaker 6: I'm going to say both, but if I'm looking for
- 1:52Speaker 6: pure return, I'm going to come back to you guys.
- 1:57Speaker 3: Cliffhanger.
- 1:59Speaker 6: Tune into the next Thought Club call if I tell
- 2:01Speaker 6: you if I like Anthropic or Apple more.
- 2:05Speaker 3: Back to you guys.
- 2:07Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:07Speaker 1: I mean, it's just a crazy time, right? You think
- 2:10Speaker 1: about Apple getting to a trillion dollars and we remember that.
- 2:13Speaker 1: And now you have a company five years later that's
- 2:15Speaker 1: going to probably IPO at two trillion.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah. Pretty amazing.
- 2:21Speaker 6: Last one, Salesforce versus Ethereum. Which one would you lean on?
- 2:26Speaker 6: If you had your last 30,000 to put into the market,
- 2:29Speaker 6: you had to pick one.
- 2:30Speaker 3: I'll go first. I am elated.
- 2:34Speaker 2: That's not even a fair comparison.
- 2:37Speaker 6: I wanted some diversity because, you know, we always do Apple, Microsoft,
- 2:40Speaker 6: the ones I've heard the comments. You only talk about Apple,
- 2:43Speaker 6: Microsoft and retard.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Okay.
- 2:44Speaker 6: Well, nevertheless, and then, but if you down a hundred
- 2:47Speaker 6: bucks on the stock, then you're like, Hey, what do
- 2:49Speaker 6: I do? Um, I do like Benioff's adjustments. I like
- 2:53Speaker 6: him as a CEO. I do not love the company
- 2:57Speaker 6: to invest in long term. I do think the SaaSpocalypse
- 3:01Speaker 6: narrative was overrated because AI is software and Bitcoin and
- 3:05Speaker 6: Ethereum is software. So I find how they parse the
- 3:08Speaker 6: differences very interesting. If I had to pick one, though,
- 3:16Speaker 6: that I would probably lean on.
- 3:18Speaker 3: Well, Troy, let me come to you. Which one would
- 3:20Speaker 3: you pick?
- 3:21Speaker 1: It's nasty, man. I was big on Ethereum. I still
- 3:25Speaker 1: have some money in Ethereum. And I understand that blockchain,
- 3:34Speaker 1: the functionality of it. I understand everything's being built on
- 3:37Speaker 1: the Ethereum platform.
- 3:40Speaker 6: Where Vitalik at? I haven't seen or heard from the man.
- 3:44Speaker 6: Where the fuck is Vitalik at? What's the time frame?
- 3:47Speaker 6: How about that?
- 3:47Speaker 2: What's the time frame? Five years?
- 3:49Speaker 6: Five to seven years. At least when the fire is
- 3:52Speaker 6: going on with MicroStrategy, I'll give them credit. Saylor doesn't
- 3:58Speaker 6: back down. I don't know where in Russia Vitalik is.
- 4:02Speaker 6: And for that reason, I'm picking Salesforce. I'm leaning towards
- 4:06Speaker 6: that too, which is ironic. I was just going to say,
- 4:08Speaker 6: I'm leaning towards that because we know Benioff.
- 4:10Speaker 1: And I think the only thing that troubles me with
- 4:14Speaker 1: Salesforce is the debt structure around.
- 4:19Speaker 1: How they're going to incorporate AI into the CRMs. But
- 4:24Speaker 1: the partnership with Anthopic makes a lot of sense. And
- 4:26Speaker 1: so he's been proven to keep that thing afloat. So yeah,
- 4:30Speaker 1: I'll go with Salesforce for.
- 4:33Speaker 2: This.
- 4:34Speaker 4: I'm a Bitcoin maxi. And I only believe in Bitcoin.
- 4:40Speaker 5: But.
- 4:41Speaker 4: No Litecoin?
- 4:42Speaker 1: No.
- 4:46Speaker 6: Shout out to those of you who were trading and
- 4:48Speaker 6: investing back in the day when Litecoin was supposed to
- 4:50Speaker 6: be the one.
- 4:50Speaker 3: That was, you know what I mean?
- 4:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:53Speaker 4: When he sold his shares.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Was it Charlie Lee?
- 4:57Speaker 5: That's when you knew it was over. It was over with.
- 5:02Speaker 5: But Ethereum has more upside potential. 10 or 2 with Ethereum.
- 5:06Speaker 5: Either 10 or 2. It's either going to get to
- 5:09Speaker 5: $ 10, 000 or it's going to.
- 5:11Speaker 4: Stay at 2.
- 5:15Speaker 3: What do you know?
- 5:20Speaker 4: But it has more upside potential. But it could also
- 5:23Speaker 4: be the next... Stay flat.
- 5:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:26Speaker 4: Stay flat.
- 5:27Speaker 6: And it's moved a little bit as of recent, but
- 5:29Speaker 6: the premise and promise has not delivered the expected return.
- 5:34Speaker 6: And I like Vitalik as an entrepreneur, but he has
- 5:38Speaker 6: been very quiet. The thing I can't say about Benioff,
- 5:41Speaker 6: in a world where open-claw... and OpenAI and Microsoft was.
- 5:47Speaker 3: Eating away at his business.
- 5:50Speaker 6: He's a guy who's just going to get a bucket
- 5:53Speaker 6: to even do the partnership and not run away from AI.
- 5:57Speaker 6: Shows how adaptive he is and it doesn't decay their business.
- 6:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:03Speaker 6: Like on an executive and CEO level, you have to
- 6:07Speaker 6: give him credit for going into that storm and figuring
- 6:09Speaker 6: out a way to salvage his company when it could
- 6:11Speaker 6: have been over with.
- 6:13Speaker 1: It could have looked really ugly, which is why I
- 6:16Speaker 1: had this conversation early last week about when they reported
- 6:19Speaker 1: the stock moved 4%, and then he did the announcement
- 6:23Speaker 1: as NVIDIA was reporting, which is like, damn.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Mark, that's how you feel?
- 6:28Speaker 1: But the fact that he had the guy who, and
- 6:31Speaker 1: the guy whose company would ultimately disrupt and damage their company, say, hey,
- 6:37Speaker 1: I'm here to work with you, hella strategic, and You
- 6:43Speaker 1: watched that announcement turn into Salesforce jumping up 12% because
- 6:47Speaker 1: of it. So now it's how do we incorporate AI
- 6:51Speaker 1: to help grow our business rather than saying AI is
- 6:54Speaker 1: going to completely disrupt and dismantle our business.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Well played by him.
- 6:59Speaker 4: But I will say this.
- 7:00Speaker 5: We will be talking about Ethereum and XRP and Solana
- 7:05Speaker 5: on Thursday at 9 o'clock when we have Austin from
- 7:11Speaker 5: EYL University Um, he's going, he's specifically going to be
- 7:15Speaker 5: talking about digital assets and cryptocurrency.
- 7:18Speaker 4: He's very bullish on, on all of those.
- 7:21Speaker 5: So if you're interested, you can hear from him, his, his,
- 7:25Speaker 5: his thesis on, um, altcoins, but, uh, that's Thursday at
- 7:30Speaker 5: nine o'clock.
- 7:31Speaker 3: But, um, me, good, good media transition. It's Bitcoin. Bitcoin.
- 7:38Speaker 2: It's Bitcoin.
- 7:39Speaker 4: Um, okay. Was that the last one?
- 7:42Speaker 3: Yes.
- 7:44Speaker 4: What's the biggest investment mistake right now?
- 7:47Speaker 6: Warren Buffett just turned 95 or 96. And I was
- 7:53Speaker 6: going back through some of his early investor lessons, and
- 7:55Speaker 6: I think the biggest mistake that I'm seeing, and this
- 7:58Speaker 6: has been done intentionally, A, not waiting for the right price.
- 8:04Speaker 6: And I'm going to keep saying that too many of
- 8:05Speaker 6: you are investing in too many companies. I love the
- 8:09Speaker 6: Review My Portfolio segment that we did a couple weeks
- 8:12Speaker 6: ago And I did it on Stock Club Call, the
- 8:15Speaker 6: last Stock Club Call. The thing that I'm seeing with
- 8:18Speaker 6: the millionaires, though, and shout out to all the Red
- 8:21Speaker 6: Panda millionaires.
- 8:21Speaker 3: I love you all.
- 8:23Speaker 6: When I look at their portfolios, their portfolios normally look
- 8:27Speaker 6: like this.
- 8:29Speaker 3: Really short.
- 8:30Speaker 6: It's concentrated in a few companies. The ones that have 12, 13, 14, 15,
- 8:36Speaker 6: 16 assets in their portfolio, they have good positions, but
- 8:41Speaker 6: very few of them. So the mistake that I see
- 8:44Speaker 6: everyone is making is that you're kind of making your
- 8:46Speaker 6: own ETF, own index. Like today, somebody had 39 positions.
- 8:52Speaker 6: I'm like, how do you, unless you just have 100
- 8:55Speaker 6: grand that you can throw into the market, how do
- 8:57Speaker 6: you even get enough shares of those companies for it
- 9:00Speaker 6: to even make an impact long term? So hyper concentration
- 9:04Speaker 6: is the way to go if you want to build wealth.
- 9:07Speaker 6: And having too many companies almost leads to too much fear.
- 9:11Speaker 6: and stops you from getting rich because you're too spread out, Paws,
- 9:15Speaker 6: in your portfolio.
- 9:18Speaker 2: I'm going to shout to the chat. My group chat
- 9:21Speaker 2: is in here.
- 9:22Speaker 3: They watching.
- 9:22Speaker 2: I'm going to say this. Solely relying on making calls
- 9:30Speaker 2: surrounding earnings.
- 9:31Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Stop that.
- 9:37Speaker 3: You know what?
- 9:38Speaker 2: It's an emotional roller coaster.
- 9:41Speaker 1: And so if you're doing it, number one question you
- 9:44Speaker 1: should ask is, have I built my foundation first? Have
- 9:48Speaker 1: I built, we spoke about it last week, have I
- 9:50Speaker 1: built my foundation, have I built shares, have I bought indexes, ETFs,
- 9:54Speaker 1: have I bought equities, am I buying options on the
- 9:57Speaker 1: equities that I actually have, rather than saying like, hey,
- 9:59Speaker 1: NVIDIA's about to report what you think we should do.
- 10:02Speaker 2: I'm about to get in a position. Because as we've.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Seen, right, six out of the last eight up until
- 10:08Speaker 1: last week, it went negative after. So some people are
- 10:11Speaker 1: doing puts, some people are doing calls. The thing is
- 10:13Speaker 1: like if you buy a call, and I always say this,
- 10:16Speaker 1: buy time, right, buy time. But what are we buying
- 10:18Speaker 1: in time? We're buying in catalyst events. We're buying in volatility.
- 10:23Speaker 1: And we're also buying in these earnings, right? So if
- 10:26Speaker 1: we have a call that's out for two years, that
- 10:28Speaker 1: means we have at least eight earnings reports inside of
- 10:31Speaker 1: those calls to watch the ebbs and flows of how
- 10:34Speaker 1: they're going to report, what their future guidance is going
- 10:35Speaker 1: to look like.
- 10:36Speaker 2: So just be mindful if you're doing that.
- 10:38Speaker 3: They're playing a weekly. Rashad, to you, what's your answer?
- 10:43Speaker 4: The biggest mistake is not watching Market Monday. 5,600 people
- 10:46Speaker 4: want to check in. Mighty, mighty, mighty Market Mondays Army.
- 10:51Speaker 3: I appreciate y'all. Go ahead, Foppy.
- 10:54Speaker 2: Go ahead.
- 10:54Speaker 3: I got you.
- 10:56Speaker 4: Still alive. Still alive.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Yo, PJ Kev, you got to stop. Yo, PJ Kev.
- 11:02Speaker 3: Shout out to Kev.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Yo, Kev, you got to stop. Josh, I love you, man.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Stop it, Kev.
- 11:09Speaker 4: But that is the biggest mistake, though, in all seriousness.
- 11:14Speaker 3: Cam going for the home run every time. Go ahead, Rashad.
- 11:18Speaker 4: All jokes aside, the biggest mistake is not watching Market Mondays.
- 11:23Speaker 5: Because it's a vitally important part of your education and
- 11:27Speaker 5: it's free and it's entertaining as well. So, man, it's
- 11:33Speaker 5: such a great way to start the week. You can
- 11:36Speaker 5: map out your strategy, your vision board, your watch list.
- 11:42Speaker 4: It's highly recommended. For sure.
- 11:46Speaker 5: And you're able to listen to it on the podcast
- 11:51Speaker 5: outlets if you can't visually see it.
- 11:55Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 11:55Speaker 5: If you don't watch Market Mondays, I have to question
- 12:02Speaker 5: your decision-making ability.
- 12:04Speaker 3: Not everybody wants to get rich, bro. That's one thing
- 12:07Speaker 3: I'm learning.
