- 1:45Speaker 1: Coming up in just a moment, we're gonna hear from
- 1:49Speaker 1: Greg McElroy, former Alabama quarterback and host of the podcast
- 1:54Speaker 1: Always College Football with Mike Elko, and we're going to do.
- 2:01Speaker 2: That here in just a minute.
- 2:03Speaker 1: West Virginia is trying to close out Troy to out
- 2:06Speaker 1: spot of the night twelve nothing. The Mountaineers are leading,
- 2:11Speaker 1: repping the Big twelve Conference right now. You know, it
- 2:17Speaker 1: was announced and that's the game, that's the final, twelve
- 2:20Speaker 1: to nothing. It was announced that Brendan Soresby will not
- 2:27Speaker 1: return to Texas Tech will put his name in the
- 2:31Speaker 1: NFL Supplemental Draft. And I want to call your attention
- 2:36Speaker 1: to a Houston Chronicle column that our friend Kirk Bowles
- 2:40Speaker 1: wrote today on the situation. It is why Kirk is
- 2:45Speaker 1: one of the best. I put it on my Twitter feed.
- 2:51Speaker 1: I don't know about the paywall. You're going to be
- 2:55Speaker 1: on your own on that. It is worth it whatever.
- 2:57Speaker 9: It is.
- 2:59Speaker 1: To re the column by Kirk on what happened in Lubbock,
- 3:05Speaker 1: what happened at Texas Tech, and the fact that Cody
- 3:12Speaker 1: Campbell released and somebody pointed out today he released his
- 3:17Speaker 1: own statement in reference to swersby quitting and going to
- 3:22Speaker 1: the supplemental draft. He said, I or my thirteen times
- 3:28Speaker 1: in a very short statement. We have talked about the
- 3:33Speaker 1: fact that the administration will not do what's right. They
- 3:38Speaker 1: will do what Cody Campbell wants because he writes the checks,
- 3:43Speaker 1: and it's the golden rule. The man with the gold
- 3:48Speaker 1: makes the rules in Lubbock. That's Cody Campbell. Now, as
- 3:53Speaker 1: I've said many times, there are Cody Campbell's all over
- 3:57Speaker 1: the United States.
- 3:58Speaker 10: Some of them.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Don't want to be known. Cody appears to like the publicity,
- 4:05Speaker 1: but some of them don't want that publicity. They're behind
- 4:11Speaker 1: the scenes writing big checks, and there are lots of
- 4:14Speaker 1: Cody Campbell's. So yes, he's the villain. He's the villain
- 4:20Speaker 1: in this scenario. And I'm not saying that everybody writes
- 4:25Speaker 1: a big check as a villain, but when there is
- 4:30Speaker 1: a lot of money involved, they are also poor decisions involved.
- 4:35Speaker 1: It takes the decisions out of the hands of those
- 4:38Speaker 1: who should be making decisions and now are afraid to
- 4:42Speaker 1: do what's right because they're afraid their money sources are
- 4:47Speaker 1: going to dry up. And if they dry up, those
- 4:50Speaker 1: people don't have jobs anymore. Right, we know how that
- 4:54Speaker 1: plays out. This was a terrible look for Texas Tech.
- 5:00Speaker 1: It has been all along. I can't believe they weren't
- 5:04Speaker 1: shocked at the outrage and outpouring of bad publicity when
- 5:10Speaker 1: they made this decision to bring not to bring Brendan Soresby,
- 5:14Speaker 1: because at the time they did not know that.
- 5:17Speaker 10: But after they found out to say, hey.
- 5:22Speaker 1: He's still going to be our quarterback and then issue
- 5:26Speaker 1: all of these reasons why he was still going to
- 5:28Speaker 1: be the quarterback despite nine thousand bets, including some on
- 5:33Speaker 1: his own team.
- 5:35Speaker 10: It's not a good look.
- 5:38Speaker 1: But he and Cody cavill are now the face of
- 5:43Speaker 1: college athletics, like it or not.
- 5:45Speaker 10: That's the fact.
- 5:47Speaker 1: It's like they're the face of what's wrong with college athletics.
- 5:51Speaker 1: I don't think this is going to change anything. Rusty
- 5:54Speaker 1: and I talked about this yesterday. I'm pretty sure it's
- 5:58Speaker 1: not going to change a thing. Despite the outrage. Right now,
- 6:03Speaker 1: this will be forgotten, will go on to other issues.
- 6:07Speaker 1: There won't be rules made because people in the SEC
- 6:12Speaker 1: and the Big Ten don't want rules because they control
- 6:15Speaker 1: college sports right now and they want to continue to
- 6:19Speaker 1: give They are not going to give up control of
- 6:21Speaker 1: college sports. But again, they have become this has become
- 6:29Speaker 1: the cover of college football at this point.
- 6:33Speaker 10: And I don't want to.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Say I feel sorry for Brendan Soarzby because he made
- 6:41Speaker 1: decisions that brought him to this point. I am sorry
- 6:45Speaker 1: for his addiction, which is what it is. If you
- 6:49Speaker 1: make nine thousand bets on things like European soccer and
- 6:52Speaker 1: everything else, you have an issue, and he has an issue.
- 6:55Speaker 1: And I don't think thirty days are going to change that.
- 6:58Speaker 1: But every time now, and I don't know what, I've
- 7:02Speaker 1: read things that he's like a second, third, fourth.
- 7:05Speaker 10: Round draft pick.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Now, any NFL team that takes him is going to
- 7:09Speaker 1: face similar scrutiny. Okay, every time he if he gets
- 7:14Speaker 1: to play in the NFL, every time he throws an interception,
- 7:18Speaker 1: the question is going to be asked, did he do
- 7:20Speaker 1: that on purpose? If he loses a fumble, did he
- 7:24Speaker 1: do that on purpose? And again, with poor decisions come consequences.
- 7:33Speaker 1: This is the consequence he's got to live by. So
- 7:40Speaker 1: Texas Tech made the decision. Shwresby is going to the
- 7:46Speaker 1: NFL Draft, and all things will.
- 7:53Speaker 10: Be back to normal in college football.
- 7:56Speaker 1: I don't think this is the last time this is
- 7:58Speaker 1: going to happen with betting because it's so easy, and
- 8:01Speaker 1: so many college kids, whether their athletes or not, are betting.
- 8:07Speaker 1: And now these college skids, some of whom have a
- 8:09Speaker 1: lot of money, so losing fifty bucks on a game
- 8:13Speaker 1: is not going to bother them. But if they get behind,
- 8:18Speaker 1: as we discussed yesterday on payments, if they get in
- 8:22Speaker 1: a hole because they're not good at betting. And by
- 8:24Speaker 1: the way, very few people, very few people, actually make
- 8:29Speaker 1: money on any kind of betting, including sports betting. Those
- 8:34Speaker 1: are the pros that do that. A college kid will
- 8:37Speaker 1: tell you, hey, I'm up three hundred dollars. While he
- 8:40Speaker 1: may be up three hundred dollars placing ten and twenty
- 8:43Speaker 1: and thirty dollar bets, but if he continues to place
- 8:46Speaker 1: ten and twenty and thirty dollar bets, he will not
- 8:49Speaker 1: be up three hundred dollars. He will lose that three
- 8:51Speaker 1: hundred dollars. Okay, that's the way gambling works. Kids, Just
- 8:56Speaker 1: a little lesson for you here this afternoon. So odds
- 9:03Speaker 1: put out by betting gods from Bavada.
- 9:08Speaker 10: Here are the betting gods.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Let's do this story because let's just go right into
- 9:12Speaker 1: that because every day I get texts from people with odds.
- 9:18Speaker 10: These are the odds, and that's where we are.
- 9:22Speaker 1: And remember when college was against betting, but now they
- 9:26Speaker 1: take money from all of the betting sites. They sponsor
- 9:31Speaker 1: their programs. So don't tell me how terrible betting is
- 9:35Speaker 1: because they're aiding and a betting, a betting, not a betting.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Things that happen here, right. So I just got this
- 9:47Speaker 1: in the email. I get them every day. I get
- 9:50Speaker 1: odds every day, Odds for the US Open starting Thursday,
- 9:54Speaker 1: odds for the upcoming football season, and you can find
- 9:58Speaker 1: those anywhere. Adam Scott Thursday, let's do this. Is making
- 10:04Speaker 1: his one hundred straight appearance in a major championship. One
- 10:11Speaker 1: hundred straight. The only other person to do that, and
- 10:17Speaker 1: he had many more than one hundred in a row
- 10:21Speaker 1: was Jack Nicholas. Okay, Adam Scott says, it's a strange
- 10:26Speaker 1: one because it's not something you set out to do
- 10:28Speaker 1: or aim for. But in honesty since Pinehurst a couple
- 10:32Speaker 1: of years ago. It was kind of on my radar
- 10:34Speaker 1: earlier this year. I wasn't automatically qualified for this event.
- 10:38Speaker 1: It became a bit of a weight on my shoulders
- 10:41Speaker 1: making sure I got here. It's been fun. I had
- 10:44Speaker 1: a picture with Jack Nicholas a couple of weeks ago
- 10:47Speaker 1: at his tournament. He's the other guy who made it
- 10:50Speaker 1: one hundred a row. He in fact made it way
- 10:52Speaker 1: past that. I can't even think about playing another eleven
- 10:55Speaker 1: or twelve straight of these years, but I'm excited for
- 10:59Speaker 1: this week. As relations to Adam Scott, that would be
- 11:02Speaker 1: a great trivia question if you couldn't look it up
- 11:05Speaker 1: on your phone in about thirty seconds, is who are
- 11:08Speaker 1: the only two players who ever played in at least
- 11:11Speaker 1: one hundred straight major golf events. Tiger didn't do it,
- 11:17Speaker 1: Gary Player hadn't done it. I mean, just name all
- 11:20Speaker 1: of the greats in the history of the game. They
- 11:22Speaker 1: haven't done it. Only two, Jack Nicholas and Adam Scott.
- 11:27Speaker 1: It's pretty cool when you look at that. Okay, enough
- 11:30Speaker 1: of that. I told you We're gonna hear from Greg
- 11:34Speaker 1: McElroy his Always College Football podcast with Mike Elko.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Mike Elko is a man that's done something at A
- 11:41Speaker 2: and M that two years ago many within the SEC
- 11:45Speaker 2: footprint would have said, yeah, no, no way that's gonna happen,
- 11:48Speaker 2: No way that happens that quickly. He took a program
- 11:51Speaker 2: that went eight and five. His first year was good, right,
- 11:54Speaker 2: we're building year. Everyone was for the most part patient,
- 11:57Speaker 2: and then the year number two takes the exact same
- 12:00Speaker 2: program to eleven and two, to the College Football Playoff
- 12:02Speaker 2: for the first time in school history, to Kyle Field
- 12:06Speaker 2: hosting a College Football Playoff first round game, which is
- 12:10Speaker 2: something that an M fan base had been dreaming about
- 12:13Speaker 2: since the day they joined the SEC. And he did
- 12:16Speaker 2: so quietly, not with some inheritance, not with some you know,
- 12:21Speaker 2: tons of five star guys, But second he walked in
- 12:24Speaker 2: the door, there was immediate buy in. And yes, there
- 12:28Speaker 2: were a lot of people that had been looking at
- 12:31Speaker 2: Mike Elko for a long time said, this guy's a
- 12:33Speaker 2: great coach, right, what a great great coach. I think
- 12:36Speaker 2: that when he was hired at A and M, a
- 12:38Speaker 2: lot of people said, all right, this is this is it,
- 12:40Speaker 2: this is the guy. And he just went out there
- 12:43Speaker 2: and handled it. Man, He won, and now he's walking
- 12:46Speaker 2: to year number three with a rebuild offensive line, a
- 12:49Speaker 2: couple of new coordinators, a quarterback that's eager to take
- 12:53Speaker 2: the next step, and he is head coach Mike Elko
- 12:56Speaker 2: of the Texas A and m Maggie's and we're happy
- 12:58Speaker 2: to have him here on Always College Football Coach. I
- 13:00Speaker 2: want to go back to December of twenty three, right
- 13:03Speaker 2: because I think people forget how fast things move. And
- 13:05Speaker 2: you walk into College station and within two years you're
- 13:09Speaker 2: hosting a college football playoff game at Kyle Field. So
- 13:12Speaker 2: when you look back at that first year, kind of
- 13:14Speaker 2: the foundation year, the culture install year, what's the thing
- 13:18Speaker 2: that you are most proud of that nobody outside the
- 13:21Speaker 2: building saw.
- 13:23Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 13:23Speaker 11: I think probably it's how quickly the mindset flipped into,
- 13:29Speaker 11: you know, kind of embracing this idea of being a
- 13:31Speaker 11: blue collar program, embracing the idea of, you know, being
- 13:34Speaker 11: a little bit more quiet and a little bit more productive.
- 13:38Speaker 11: I think that was kind of a lot of what
- 13:40Speaker 11: we preached when we got here, and you just you
- 13:42Speaker 11: never know how fast kids are going to take onto it.
- 13:45Speaker 11: And I think, you know, some of the early success
- 13:48Speaker 11: we had year one certainly helped. Obviously the success we
- 13:51Speaker 11: had year two helped a little bit more, but probably
- 13:54Speaker 11: just most proud of how quick the mindset has shifted
- 13:57Speaker 11: in and around our building.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Is that something that's you reference doing it now? With
- 14:01Speaker 2: so many new faces and the buy in and guys
- 14:03Speaker 2: maybe pointing directions and having an outside influence. Is it
- 14:07Speaker 2: harder now? I mean, you've been around a while now,
- 14:09Speaker 2: is it harder now to get that buy in than
- 14:11Speaker 2: maybe it was in the past.
- 14:13Speaker 7: Uh? You know, I've said this before.
- 14:15Speaker 11: I think one of the one of the things that
- 14:17Speaker 11: has changed for sure is you know, we are dealing
- 14:19Speaker 11: now with the why generation. Right, you have to do
- 14:22Speaker 11: a really good job of explaining to them why. Uh
- 14:25Speaker 11: and in a lot of ways why it's beneficial to them,
- 14:28Speaker 11: And that's okay, but just why is this the right
- 14:30Speaker 11: way to think?
- 14:31Speaker 7: You know, you want us to change? Why?
- 14:33Speaker 11: And I think we have kind of embraced that idea.
- 14:35Speaker 11: I think it's probably been about, you know, eight nine
- 14:38Speaker 11: years that it's kind of shifted like this a little
- 14:40Speaker 11: bit in my mind. And I think a lot of
- 14:42Speaker 11: people like put it on the portal or put it
- 14:44Speaker 11: on I just think it's just been a shift in
- 14:47Speaker 11: the generation, right, And that's happened a lot. Our generation
- 14:50Speaker 11: was different. It's just kind of how it is. And
- 14:52Speaker 11: so I think that's the biggest thing. I think we
- 14:55Speaker 11: spent a lot of time just kind of changing mindset
- 14:58Speaker 11: through and understand of why, why is it beneficial? Why
- 15:02Speaker 11: is it better to do things this way.
- 15:05Speaker 2: I'm sure you asked your coach why back in the day,
- 15:07Speaker 2: I should have asked coach Savan why.
- 15:09Speaker 7: We were the book.
- 15:10Speaker 11: I say this the kids all the time, where they
- 15:12Speaker 11: laughed we were the because generation. Exactly we did it
- 15:15Speaker 11: because somebody told us we had.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Ours is the when? When do you want me to
- 15:20Speaker 2: do that?
- 15:20Speaker 7: Now?
- 15:20Speaker 2: Perfect? Let's go that?
- 15:22Speaker 7: Great for me.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Look, you've been consistent about this since day one, and
- 15:26Speaker 2: you've talked about that the amount of players that a
- 15:29Speaker 2: program puts in the NFL is kind of the truest
- 15:30Speaker 2: measure of how healthy a program really is, right, And
- 15:33Speaker 2: you look at the past cycle and how many players
- 15:36Speaker 2: went to the combine. I think it was thirteen. I mean,
- 15:38Speaker 2: that's a program record and an elite number by any
- 15:41Speaker 2: standard in college football. So walk me through how that
- 15:44Speaker 2: actually happens.
- 15:45Speaker 11: Yeah, I think a big part of it is is
- 15:48Speaker 11: who you bring into the program. I think one of
- 15:50Speaker 11: the things that we talked a lot about, and the
- 15:53Speaker 11: reason why that was such a messaging point for me
- 15:56Speaker 11: is I think for years people felt like A and
- 15:59Speaker 11: M was bringing the right types of people in here,
- 16:02Speaker 11: but the output was never saying that, right. The output
- 16:05Speaker 11: in the NFL draft was never saying we were doing
- 16:08Speaker 11: it the right way, you know, for whatever reason, right.
- 16:10Speaker 7: And so I think a lot of it.
- 16:11Speaker 11: Started with who we bring into the program, you know,
- 16:15Speaker 11: what drives them, what motivates them, where are they trying
- 16:18Speaker 11: to really get to and then obviously changing a lot
- 16:21Speaker 11: of things internally, changing the development, changing.
- 16:24Speaker 7: The weight room structure, changing things we're doing in.
- 16:26Speaker 11: Nutrition across the board, so that kids see progress every
- 16:32Speaker 11: step along the way. And ultimately that's how you build
- 16:35Speaker 11: a program that becomes known for developing players to be
- 16:40Speaker 11: what they're capable of being.
- 16:41Speaker 7: And I think that's what we had to get to, right.
- 16:45Speaker 11: We had to stop being a place where it was
- 16:47Speaker 11: cool to play games and then you.
- 16:49Speaker 7: Didn't really do much more.
- 16:50Speaker 11: We had to be a place where like, yeah, it's
- 16:52Speaker 11: cool to play in front of these fans, but for
- 16:54Speaker 11: the rest of the year, we're going to work our
- 16:55Speaker 11: tail off so that we can get the results in
- 16:58Speaker 11: front of those fans that we really want to Yet.
- 17:00Speaker 2: Well, to be so successfully from a developmental so successful
- 17:04Speaker 2: from a developmental standpoint, how do you how do you
- 17:06Speaker 2: do that in two years? Because I would think that'd
- 17:07Speaker 2: take four years to get guys where you wanted to go.
- 17:09Speaker 2: How do you accelerate that development?
- 17:11Speaker 7: Yeah? Probably the modern era shifts that a little bit.
- 17:13Speaker 11: You know, you look at some of the guys we're
- 17:15Speaker 11: able to go out and get in the transfer portal,
- 17:17Speaker 11: and you know, that changes things, and then you can
- 17:19Speaker 11: point to some of their growth. You know, a kid
- 17:22Speaker 11: like cashus Hal who comes here and isn't projected to
- 17:26Speaker 11: be a high draft pick and leaves as the SEC
- 17:29Speaker 11: player of the Year and a second round pick.
- 17:31Speaker 7: A kid like Casey Concepcione who is.
- 17:34Speaker 11: Talented but people aren't really sure what he's going to be,
- 17:38Speaker 11: and then he leaves as a first round pick, you know,
- 17:40Speaker 11: and then you just look at some of the high
- 17:42Speaker 11: school kids the same way. And so I think in
- 17:44Speaker 11: the past it took you, you know.
- 17:47Speaker 7: Four years to get kids through your cycle.
- 17:50Speaker 11: I think the transfer portal has kind of shifted that
- 17:52Speaker 11: where now you know, we got some kids that have
- 17:54Speaker 11: been here for two years, kids that.
- 17:56Speaker 7: Have been here for one year. I think that helps
- 17:58Speaker 7: boost those numbers a little bit quick.
- 18:01Speaker 2: And you do have to go through a little bit
- 18:03Speaker 2: of turnover this year, and for good reason. Your your
- 18:05Speaker 2: coordinators go on and have success in other spots, but
- 18:08Speaker 2: you decide to promote from within. I want to start
- 18:10Speaker 2: on offense with Holman Wiggins, who's now taken over as
- 18:13Speaker 2: zero C. He's been your staff for a while. I
- 18:14Speaker 2: know it's been very collaborative. Yeah, but tell me what
- 18:18Speaker 2: that continuity kind of keeping that system in tach, keeping
- 18:21Speaker 2: those relationship in tech, what does that give the program
- 18:24Speaker 2: from an edge standpoint heading into this season.
- 18:27Speaker 7: Yeah, I think it starts with Marcel.
- 18:29Speaker 11: I think when you've got a quarterback coming back for
- 18:31Speaker 11: his third year, it quickly becomes not his third year
- 18:35Speaker 11: if everything's new and different, right, and so if he
- 18:37Speaker 11: has to learn a new system, new terminology, a new
- 18:40Speaker 11: way to think about things, you know, what does that
- 18:43Speaker 11: do to him?
- 18:44Speaker 7: And then you know, we've got a great staff.
- 18:46Speaker 11: I talked a lot about this this offseason, and so
- 18:49Speaker 11: if you go out from the outside, you certainly.
- 18:52Speaker 7: You certainly can't bring in one person.
- 18:54Speaker 11: You know you're going to have to bring in him
- 18:55Speaker 11: and some of the people that he wants to bring
- 18:57Speaker 11: with him, and how does that all fit. And then
- 19:00Speaker 11: just honestly, and this is this is the biggest reason
- 19:03Speaker 11: why you do it is you know, you don't lose
- 19:05Speaker 11: sight of what you have internally. You know, there's this
- 19:08Speaker 11: world we live in now where everything outside has to
- 19:11Speaker 11: be better than everything you have. And the new flashy
- 19:14Speaker 11: thing is what sells on social media. But sometimes the
- 19:18Speaker 11: best thing that you have is right there. And Homa
- 19:21Speaker 11: Wiggans is a guy who has a tremendous pedigree. He's
- 19:24Speaker 11: been phenomenal developing past catchers, He's been followed phenomenal building
- 19:29Speaker 11: passing games over his time. And I think you look
- 19:32Speaker 11: at him and you say, okay, this is the best
- 19:34Speaker 11: option we have and he's going to do a phenomenal job.
- 19:37Speaker 7: And then so far it's been great.
- 19:39Speaker 2: Well, I think what's funny is Marcel I mean genuinely,
- 19:41Speaker 2: I mean he had a great year last year. There's
- 19:43Speaker 2: a lot of progress made last I mean, you don't
- 19:46Speaker 2: go to South Bend and do what he did. You
- 19:48Speaker 2: don't go to Death Valley and do what he did
- 19:50Speaker 2: and and win eleven games, and everyone comes out of
- 19:54Speaker 2: it with all these question marks and understandable. You've seen
- 19:57Speaker 2: the leap from your one to year two is a
- 19:59Speaker 2: part time a full time. Now he's going into year
- 20:01Speaker 2: three first full time as a starter. So when you
- 20:04Speaker 2: watch him this offseason, what are some of the things
- 20:06Speaker 2: you're seeing in his game right now that tell you
- 20:09Speaker 2: the best is still ahead?
- 20:10Speaker 7: Yeah? I mean, I think you sum it up this
- 20:13Speaker 7: way a little bit. Right.
- 20:14Speaker 11: He went from a guy who you guys were asking
- 20:17Speaker 11: me if he could throw a football to a Heisman contender, right,
- 20:20Speaker 11: And that all happened because of the growth and the
- 20:23Speaker 11: development he had from year one to year two. Now,
- 20:26Speaker 11: I think you say, okay, as he goes from year
- 20:28Speaker 11: two to year three, there's certainly areas he needs to
- 20:31Speaker 11: be more consistent. But I think you saw him at
- 20:35Speaker 11: his high levels playing like an elite quarterback in college football.
- 20:39Speaker 11: And so his challenge is, Okay, you know there were dips,
- 20:42Speaker 11: for sure, there were miss throws, missed opportunities, things of
- 20:46Speaker 11: that nature. How do I get those out so that
- 20:49Speaker 11: I can play consistently at the level I'm capable of?
- 20:52Speaker 11: And that's been his that's been his task this offseason.
- 20:54Speaker 11: I think he's handled it really really well.
- 20:57Speaker 2: I love I said, you guys, come on man like
- 21:00Speaker 2: march free.
- 21:01Speaker 11: Also note off the lines, right, don't forget that you're
- 21:04Speaker 11: on the side of the world there.
- 21:06Speaker 2: I also noticed that you guys, I give it one
- 21:07Speaker 2: more season, full season in college station for its y'all.
- 21:10Speaker 2: I think it's gonna be very close. This is the
- 21:11Speaker 2: year for sure. Now in front of Marcel, there's there's
- 21:15Speaker 2: a little bit of rebuild going on along the off till.
- 21:17Speaker 2: I know you loved your debt last year. Yeah, I
- 21:18Speaker 2: know you had some of those guys that played in
- 21:21Speaker 2: in roles. But you go out and you address it
- 21:23Speaker 2: in the portal, you bring in some guys, But what
- 21:27Speaker 2: is this kind of group? What are we expecting from
- 21:29Speaker 2: this group, knowing it was such a position of strength
- 21:32Speaker 2: last season.
- 21:32Speaker 11: Yeah, I think obviously it's the biggest challenge. I think
- 21:35Speaker 11: both sides of the ball. You know, we had seven
- 21:37Speaker 11: kids drafted on the old line and D line, you know,
- 21:39Speaker 11: and so that's great when you're selling the program, but
- 21:42Speaker 11: internally and it also means you have seven NFL players
- 21:45Speaker 11: who aren't playing anymore, and how are you going to
- 21:47Speaker 11: fill those holes, and so we felt like it was
- 21:49Speaker 11: really important to go out into the portal and grab
- 21:53Speaker 11: guys that had played in this league and had started
- 21:55Speaker 11: in this league. And so you know, we got four
- 21:57Speaker 11: guys who are SEC starters, they just and SEC starters
- 22:01Speaker 11: at Texas A and M last year to mix with
- 22:04Speaker 11: what we think is a really really bright and promising
- 22:07Speaker 11: young group who is developing. And I think what that
- 22:10Speaker 11: has done is created a lot of internal competition to
- 22:12Speaker 11: where everybody's game is raising and that's hopefully what you get.
- 22:16Speaker 11: And so as we go into fall camp, you know,
- 22:19Speaker 11: now bringing the continuity together, bringing the comfort to playing
- 22:21Speaker 11: with each other together, I think that'll be the big
- 22:24Speaker 11: challenge as we move forward.
- 22:26Speaker 2: As a guy that that is so honed in on
- 22:29Speaker 2: the defense side of the football. Of course, naturally you
- 22:31Speaker 2: still call out of the plays on the defense side.
- 22:32Speaker 2: You put the plan together on the defense side. And
- 22:34Speaker 2: now Lyle Hemphill will be right there alongside you, who
- 22:36Speaker 2: I know you're very familiar with. Look looking at how
- 22:41Speaker 2: you try to evolve every year, and I love watching
- 22:44Speaker 2: your group and just the just the tweaks that you
- 22:47Speaker 2: make on a year to year basis. When does that
- 22:49Speaker 2: start in the offseason with Lyle.
- 22:52Speaker 11: Yeah, you know, I think I think it's a couple
- 22:54Speaker 11: of different stages. I think the first one is you
- 22:57Speaker 11: come out of the season and you kind of have
- 22:59Speaker 11: somebody of things that you want to tighten up, do
- 23:02Speaker 11: a little bit better areas where you felt like schematically
- 23:06Speaker 11: you could improve, right, And that's the first part, and
- 23:08Speaker 11: that's just straight x's and o's, and you're studying tape
- 23:12Speaker 11: from other colleges, NFL teams, whatever that case may be.
- 23:15Speaker 11: And then I think the second part of it though,
- 23:18Speaker 11: and this is I think what we have done well
- 23:19Speaker 11: over the years is you know, then you start working
- 23:22Speaker 11: with your guys and you've got to start figuring out, Okay,
- 23:26Speaker 11: how is this defense going to stop people?
- 23:29Speaker 7: Right? Not not justx xs and o's.
- 23:31Speaker 11: Now, we have human beings in these positions, and they
- 23:35Speaker 11: have certain things that they do really well and certain
- 23:37Speaker 11: things that maybe can be exploited, and how do we
- 23:40Speaker 11: set the defense up for this group? And I think
- 23:43Speaker 11: that process is ever changing, right, It's all the way
- 23:46Speaker 11: through spring into fall camp and then maybe even a
- 23:49Speaker 11: little bit into the beginning of the season when you
- 23:51Speaker 11: start seeing it match against other people and other personnels.
- 23:55Speaker 2: Yeah, it's amazing.
- 23:57Speaker 7: Though.
- 23:57Speaker 2: I watch you every year and it's like, all right,
- 23:58Speaker 2: there's a wrinkle in the week after that as a
- 24:01Speaker 2: wrinkle to the wrinkle, and it's like you're always a
- 24:03Speaker 2: step ahead, and it's stressful as a former quarterback to watch,
- 24:06Speaker 2: but it's enjoyable as a fan all to watch as well.
- 24:09Speaker 2: There was something unique about your team last year is
- 24:11Speaker 2: what you're able to do away from home. Like we
- 24:12Speaker 2: all know Kyle Field's unbelievably insanely good venue. But to
- 24:16Speaker 2: go to Notre Dame, to go to Death Valley, to
- 24:18Speaker 2: go to Missouri, three very difficult road environments and you
- 24:22Speaker 2: go three for three in those three games. What did
- 24:24Speaker 2: that teach you about kind of who this program is.
- 24:27Speaker 7: Yeah, I think it was something we had to do.
- 24:29Speaker 11: I think, obviously, if you looked at us over our
- 24:32Speaker 11: time in the SEC, the road record was a big
- 24:36Speaker 11: blip on our radar, right, it was something we had
- 24:38Speaker 11: to improve and get fixed. We talked an awful lot
- 24:40Speaker 11: about it going into last year because we knew so
- 24:43Speaker 11: much of our success was going to hinge on those
- 24:46Speaker 11: games and how we performed in those games. And so
- 24:48Speaker 11: I think the kids take a little bit of confidence
- 24:50Speaker 11: in Okay, we're doing things in a way that when
- 24:54Speaker 11: we get into those hostile environments, and in each one
- 24:57Speaker 11: of those games there were moments where it was not
- 25:00Speaker 11: going our way, you know, we.
- 25:02Speaker 7: Can stay together.
- 25:03Speaker 11: We can figure out a way to come together and
- 25:05Speaker 11: come out on top. And I think that's a huge
- 25:07Speaker 11: part of playing in this league.
- 25:08Speaker 7: If you look at the successful.
- 25:10Speaker 11: Teams over the years in this conference, you know, they
- 25:13Speaker 11: have all struggled somewhere on the road and just found
- 25:17Speaker 11: a way to get out of there with a win.
- 25:19Speaker 11: And that's sec football. And so it was really cool
- 25:22Speaker 11: to take that step. And you know, as you look
- 25:23Speaker 11: at the schedule this year, it's going to be as
- 25:26Speaker 11: imperative that we're able to go out there and try
- 25:28Speaker 11: to accomplish it.
- 25:29Speaker 2: Again, if you talk to anyone in the league, it's like, man,
- 25:31Speaker 2: if I can just get two on the road, I.
- 25:32Speaker 11: Feel especially, you know, and two of those three that
- 25:36Speaker 11: you mentioned were night games on the road. Yeah, you know,
- 25:38Speaker 11: that even enhances the you know, difficulty level, and so
- 25:42Speaker 11: I just think it's what makes this league a little
- 25:44Speaker 11: bit more challenging is you know, you you go into
- 25:47Speaker 11: some of these road environments and it certainly doesn't feel
- 25:50Speaker 11: like you're playing a lower level team, that's for sure.
- 25:53Speaker 2: And you you talk, I mean that, like you said,
- 25:55Speaker 2: the upcoming slate with LSU, Bama, South Carolina Bunch, road games,
- 26:00Speaker 2: difficult spots. And the funny thing is like, will anyone
- 26:04Speaker 2: care at the end of the year, Like it's so
- 26:08Speaker 2: tough though as you're living it though, as you're living
- 26:10Speaker 2: it and you see your schedule, Yeah, and how do
- 26:14Speaker 2: you kind of set up the off season? Do you
- 26:15Speaker 2: kind of go, all right, well, today in our off
- 26:17Speaker 2: season training program is LSU, and next week is Bama
- 26:21Speaker 2: and the next week is Missouri. Do you try to
- 26:23Speaker 2: create and simulate that week to week grind that you're
- 26:25Speaker 2: going to experience.
- 26:26Speaker 7: No, I think we probably do it more in bigger pictures.
- 26:29Speaker 11: You know, obviously, you know there's a part of your
- 26:32Speaker 11: schematic process that is how to play on the road
- 26:35Speaker 11: in those environments. And so you know that's just part
- 26:38Speaker 11: of our natural install now and you know you're you're
- 26:41Speaker 11: starting to get ready for how we're going to handle
- 26:43Speaker 11: playing where we can't hear in springball, So I think
- 26:47Speaker 11: that's one piece of it. We talk a lot about
- 26:49Speaker 11: like quarters, like breaking things down into quarters, and so
- 26:53Speaker 11: I still feel like that's the right way to handle
- 26:55Speaker 11: the season. You know, the first quarter is full of excitement,
- 26:58Speaker 11: you know, the last quarter is full of hope. The
- 27:01Speaker 11: middle is where everything happens and you know, gets determined.
- 27:05Speaker 11: And so we try to put that into it more
- 27:07Speaker 11: general like that, probably a little less into the you know,
- 27:11Speaker 11: this is l s U week because with the portal
- 27:14Speaker 11: and everything change in you I don't even know what
- 27:15Speaker 11: LSU week looks like until LSU week comes around, Right,
- 27:19Speaker 11: what is the personnel going to be?
- 27:20Speaker 7: What is the scheme. It's hard to do some of
- 27:22Speaker 7: those off season studies that you.
- 27:24Speaker 11: Used to do because there's just there's too much turnover
- 27:27Speaker 11: now in college football year to year.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know how you prepare. I mean, I
- 27:31Speaker 2: don't know how you don't chase ghosts, right, I would
- 27:33Speaker 2: be a mess.
- 27:34Speaker 7: Right. We try not to. We try not to try
- 27:36Speaker 7: to avoid that as best you can.
- 27:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, just be glad you don't have like
- 27:39Speaker 2: a Florida in week one. You know, that'd be that'd
- 27:42Speaker 2: be a tough putt for sure, no doubt. Look, year
- 27:45Speaker 2: one was the foundation. Year two is the breakthrough. You know,
- 27:48Speaker 2: what does year three look like in your eyes.
- 27:51Speaker 7: Yeah, I think it's it's our challenges. Can we stack years?
- 27:54Speaker 11: You know, and and you know, hopefully we're going to
- 27:56Speaker 11: get multiple cracks to do it, But this is a
- 27:58Speaker 11: year where we have the ability to say, Okay, we're
- 28:01Speaker 11: a program that is going to consistently be in this conversation,
- 28:04Speaker 11: we want to consistently be competing for playoffs. Well, that
- 28:07Speaker 11: means we got to go do it again this year,
- 28:09Speaker 11: even though we're replacing thirteen starters. You know, we want
- 28:12Speaker 11: to be a team that's known for how we develop
- 28:14Speaker 11: guys to get to the next level. Well, we got
- 28:16Speaker 11: to go out again and get eight plus guys into
- 28:19Speaker 11: the NFL Draft. And I think that's been our off
- 28:22Speaker 11: season conversation. Is just for us to be the program
- 28:26Speaker 11: everyone thinks we can be, and certainly that we want
- 28:28Speaker 11: to be internally.
- 28:29Speaker 7: You know, we've got to stack this. It can't just.
- 28:31Speaker 11: Be you know, oh, hey, they did it last year
- 28:34Speaker 11: and then it's another right that just can't be how
- 28:36Speaker 11: Texas and football goes anymore.
- 28:38Speaker 7: And so I think it's a big challenge for us.
- 28:40Speaker 11: It's a big challenge to prove that we really have
- 28:42Speaker 11: shifted this thing and are moving in a direction that's
- 28:45Speaker 11: going to allow us to compete with the best programs
- 28:48Speaker 11: in the country year in and year out.
- 28:51Speaker 1: Greg McElroy's podcast Always College Football with Mike Elco Just

- 32:23Speaker 1: things here.
- 32:25Speaker 9: Let's knock them out.
- 32:26Speaker 8: Go ahead, Let's go ahead.
- 32:28Speaker 1: Jennifer Harmon, Broadway actress and rolls on One Life to Live.
- 32:35Speaker 8: Has died at eighty two.

- 33:03Speaker 1: the Dallas Cowboys and then the Denver Broncos against the
- 33:08Speaker 1: Dallas Cowboys, has passed away at eighty three. So all
- 33:15Speaker 1: of these folks lived long, fruitful lives, right, I.
- 33:20Speaker 9: Feel like that's always good. Yeah, that's the one positive
- 33:23Speaker 9: that is.
- 33:25Speaker 1: That is the one the one positive, and I need
- 33:29Speaker 1: to mention that. Coming up this weekend, they're taping the
- 33:34Speaker 1: Texas Music Scene at Aggie Park. Remember it got rained
- 33:37Speaker 1: out a few weeks ago, and so the gates open
- 33:43Speaker 1: at three, it is free. Performances begin at four. Jamie
- 33:51Speaker 1: Lynn Wilson, Austin Mead, Julianna Rankin is really good. So
- 34:00Speaker 1: they will tape that show, which I hope people have seen,
- 34:08Speaker 1: called the Texas Music Scene, and it should be a
- 34:15Speaker 1: it should be a fun time and again it'll be
- 34:17Speaker 1: a lot of good music with free admission at Aggie
- 34:22Speaker 1: Park on Saturday afternoon at three.
- 34:25Speaker 9: Are you going?
- 34:26Speaker 1: I am going to be. No, I'm going to be
- 34:29Speaker 1: out of town. Unfortunately, I would go. I think I
- 34:33Speaker 1: believe I've talked about Julianna Rankin before. I saw her
- 34:37Speaker 1: at the Stella Sessions of Real Life, Real Music and
- 34:40Speaker 1: was blown away by her talent, and I'm thinking that
- 34:48Speaker 1: there will be other like of course, Jack Ingram hosts
- 34:53Speaker 1: that show, and I expect him to be there. Whether
- 34:57Speaker 1: he will perform or not, I don't know that, but
- 35:00Speaker 1: it should be a great afternoon.
- 35:03Speaker 9: Yeah sounds like it.
- 35:04Speaker 15: Yeah yeah, I was just impressed by how high of
- 35:10Speaker 15: a pitch you got there.
- 35:11Speaker 1: I said, yeah, thank you, Tip.
- 35:14Speaker 15: I know you love American Idol, do I ever?
- 35:19Speaker 16: Which it's twenty fourth season, which I know this sounds crazy,
- 35:23Speaker 16: but I feel like it should be more than twenty
- 35:25Speaker 16: four unless they do it once a year, which I
- 35:27Speaker 16: have no idea. Anyways, the winner has a name that's
- 35:30Speaker 16: easy to pronounce, so I'm good for her.
- 35:33Speaker 9: H Hannah Harper does the scene.
- 35:35Speaker 1: No way, Hannah on Hannah Harper one, Oh my god.
- 35:40Speaker 15: Heart continues behind the scenes as the powers that be
- 35:44Speaker 15: decide well the show come back for a twenty fifth season?
- 35:47Speaker 8: Oh yeah, whom?
- 35:49Speaker 9: Because it's had.
- 35:50Speaker 15: Some questionable judges Lionel, Richie Luke, Brian and Christy Underwood
- 35:55Speaker 15: have yet to start negotiations with Idol producers. They can
- 35:58Speaker 15: weigh in on the possibility of returning to the competition show.
- 36:03Speaker 15: As we know, Carrie Underwood was the season four winner. Yes,
- 36:06Speaker 15: and this is her second season as a judge, replacing
- 36:09Speaker 15: Katie Perry.
- 36:09Speaker 9: Which I don't think anyone was really bad.
- 36:11Speaker 1: Right Ryan Seacrest. Does Ryan Seacrest host this show?
- 36:15Speaker 9: He's still Yes, I think he's still the host.
- 36:17Speaker 8: Okay.
- 36:19Speaker 1: Yeah, anyways, whenever there's a doubt for a show host,
- 36:23Speaker 1: just mentioned Ryan Seacrest and it'll probably be right.
- 36:26Speaker 15: Oh, okay, yeah, that makes sense.
- 36:29Speaker 1: Doesn't he everything?
- 36:30Speaker 11: Oh?
- 36:31Speaker 8: He does everything.
- 36:32Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 36:32Speaker 9: The man is everywhere.
- 36:34Speaker 1: He's everywhere.
- 36:35Speaker 9: Good for him because he's probably making banks.
- 36:37Speaker 8: He is making bank.
- 36:38Speaker 15: Yes, so we'll see who becomes who comes back as a.
- 36:42Speaker 9: Judge, But Harper is your winner if you guys.
- 36:44Speaker 8: Okay. Spoil spoiler alert.
- 36:47Speaker 9: Spoiler alert.
- 36:50Speaker 1: By the way, the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue released yesterday. Okay,
- 36:58Speaker 1: guess who's on the covers?
- 37:01Speaker 8: Hillary Hillary Duff okay.
- 37:05Speaker 1: Girl, Tiffany Hattish okay. Social media influencer Alex Earle.
- 37:14Speaker 8: And model Nicole Williams.
- 37:19Speaker 1: So those are the four cover girls for for the
- 37:24Speaker 1: annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue in South kaya Coast.
- 37:32Speaker 8: I don't know where that is. One of them was
- 37:34Speaker 8: in Baja California.
- 37:38Speaker 1: So, you know, I took Sports Illustrated from the time
- 37:44Speaker 1: I was probably ten or eleven years old, right and
- 37:47Speaker 1: about I don't know how long it's been. It's probably
- 37:51Speaker 1: been close to ten years. I finally had just had
- 37:57Speaker 1: enough the politics. I just took it for the sports
- 38:00Speaker 1: and it just got too much for me. And when
- 38:04Speaker 1: they put Bruce Jenner on the cover of their Olympic
- 38:09Speaker 1: preview as Caitlyn Jenner, and I just said, that's enough.
- 38:13Speaker 9: Was that the big magazine that she came out of.
- 38:16Speaker 15: No, No, I don't know, but I know there was
- 38:19Speaker 15: one big like article or one big hus.
- 38:21Speaker 1: I think it had already I think it had already
- 38:24Speaker 1: been done. But to but to use her him as
- 38:30Speaker 1: their cover person for an Olympic issue was just wildly
- 38:35Speaker 1: offensive as far as I was concerned.
- 38:38Speaker 8: So I wrote them a letter and said I'm done.
- 38:42Speaker 9: Well.
- 38:42Speaker 1: And you know, as a young person, I would run
- 38:46Speaker 1: to the mailbox for that Sports Illustrated issue. Right, I
- 38:51Speaker 1: love that Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. But it always seemed
- 38:56Speaker 1: to arrive a week late, despite the post office saying no,
- 39:00Speaker 1: the postman didn't take it home for a week and
- 39:02Speaker 1: then bring it to you.
- 39:06Speaker 9: Well, there's always that chance. I feel like, you.
- 39:09Speaker 1: Know, those were the those were the days. Oh and
- 39:15Speaker 1: I need to mention that George and the mall was
- 39:20Speaker 1: at the King's Trust gala Monday night in London. Oh yeah,
- 39:28Speaker 1: looking stunning. So didn't we just talk about how old
- 39:32Speaker 1: George was? He turned sixty something on one of our
- 39:35Speaker 1: birthdays last week?
- 39:36Speaker 10: Is that right?
- 39:37Speaker 8: Did I remember that?
- 39:38Speaker 7: Right?
- 39:38Speaker 9: It was something like that. Yeah he was. Yeah, he
- 39:41Speaker 9: was definitely in the sixties.
- 39:42Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 39:42Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, Well, good for good on them. They're still together. Hey,
- 39:48Speaker 1: I give him that.
- 39:50Speaker 9: Well, I mean she's very impressive.
- 39:51Speaker 1: I don't know, no, No, she's a sharp lady.
- 39:54Speaker 9: Yeah, she's very impressive. You know. Yeah, he's he's done stuff.
- 39:59Speaker 1: He's an actor.
- 40:00Speaker 9: Yeah, he's got the acting. Yeah, maybe he's done other stuff.
- 40:04Speaker 9: Who knows. Speaking of actresses.
- 40:08Speaker 15: Que Latifa is getting her own red chair.
- 40:12Speaker 9: No way, kind of an actress singer.
- 40:14Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 40:14Speaker 15: Anyways, NBC announced that Grammy Grammy winning musician and actress
- 40:20Speaker 15: who's fifty six if you're wondering, will join the coaching
- 40:22Speaker 15: panel of the Voice for season thirtieth this fall Wow,
- 40:26Speaker 15: alongside Riley Green as the returning coaches, Kelly Clarkson and
- 40:31Speaker 15: Adam Levine.
- 40:32Speaker 9: I don't know Adam Levine was still on that show.
- 40:34Speaker 1: Still on the show. Hey, do you know? I didn't really,
- 40:38Speaker 1: I don't follow modern country music, and I I'm not
- 40:42Speaker 1: ashamed to say I just didn't know who Riley Green was.
- 40:46Speaker 1: But then Sunday I'm flipping channels and Riley Green is
- 40:49Speaker 1: at the Savannah Bananas game, batting in a banana's uniform
- 40:54Speaker 1: from Atlanta on Sunday and then singing He's sang like
- 41:00Speaker 1: the national anthem, I think, and then batted and got
- 41:02Speaker 1: a base hit.
- 41:03Speaker 9: So I was impressed, so good on that he's multi talented.
- 41:08Speaker 1: He is obviously multi talented and apparently very popular in
- 41:12Speaker 1: the country music genre these days.
- 41:15Speaker 15: Yes, which I will say, I recognized his name and
- 41:18Speaker 15: I knew he was a country singer, but I don't
- 41:21Speaker 15: know if I know.
- 41:21Speaker 1: Any of it. And now he's going to be He's
- 41:24Speaker 1: going to be a coach on the voice, which I.
- 41:28Speaker 15: Will say, and I mean this with all due respect
- 41:30Speaker 15: to Kelly Clarkson and now Queen Latifa, but usually there's
- 41:36Speaker 15: kind of washed up.
- 41:40Speaker 9: Singers.
- 41:41Speaker 1: You're saying, there are some seedless celebrities that have been
- 41:45Speaker 1: there in the past.
- 41:46Speaker 9: Parkson, I got to give her her you know, she
- 41:49Speaker 9: kills it.
- 41:50Speaker 1: And Adam Lavine is still relevant and you're not.
- 41:54Speaker 15: He's relevant because he's still a host on the That's
- 41:57Speaker 15: probably why. And he cheated on his pregnant wife. But
- 42:00Speaker 15: I mean, well, I was a couple of years ago.
- 42:04Speaker 9: I'm sure.
- 42:06Speaker 1: I'm kind have gone without knowing that.
- 42:09Speaker 15: Well, sorry, that's okay for you. Uh, but do you
- 42:18Speaker 15: want there's a manicute? Oh we talked about this chip
- 42:22Speaker 15: the guy who stole there was someone who's told Beyond
- 42:26Speaker 15: a laptop.
- 42:26Speaker 1: That had a bunch of yeah, yeah, okay.
- 42:29Speaker 17: Uh.
- 42:29Speaker 15: The mancuse of stealing beyonces unreleased music last summer and
- 42:33Speaker 15: Atlanta won't be going to trial after all, but he
- 42:35Speaker 15: will be going to prison, okay, after he did cut
- 42:38Speaker 15: a plea deal, which was probably in his favor.
- 42:40Speaker 9: Let's be real.
- 42:41Speaker 15: Kelvin Evans pleaded guilty Tuesday to several charges related to theft.
- 42:46Speaker 15: Investigators say surveillance cameras captured Evans breaking into the SEV
- 42:50Speaker 15: just two days before Beyonces Atlanta stop.
- 42:54Speaker 9: For her Cowboy Carter tour.
- 42:56Speaker 15: The jeep was rented by a member of Beyonce's team
- 42:59Speaker 15: who had a flash strive of unreleased.
- 43:01Speaker 9: Music, which why would you keep that in the keep
- 43:04Speaker 9: that way with you?
- 43:05Speaker 8: I don't know.
- 43:07Speaker 9: He is fate. He was sorry.
- 43:08Speaker 15: He was pacing six years in prison, but he was
- 43:12Speaker 15: sentenced to just two after the meal he did previously plead.
- 43:17Speaker 9: Not guilty and turned down an earlier deal.
- 43:20Speaker 15: In March, a prosecutor said, uh, he's implicated in other carpets.
- 43:25Speaker 1: Two years doesn't seem like much to me.
- 43:27Speaker 8: But you know what, do I know?
- 43:29Speaker 15: It happens when you take a plea deal usually you
- 43:32Speaker 15: get you get the nice you know.
- 43:35Speaker 1: So how about this? Jamie Fox is about to be
- 43:38Speaker 1: a dad again with his girlfriend Alice Huckstep. Multiple sources

- 44:07Speaker 1: Things started to heat up in twenty three when we

- 45:02Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 45:02Speaker 8: Really, Oh my gosh, that's wild. That's some wild stuff.

- 50:08Speaker 1: Only hey, hey, only only if Travis decides to call
- 50:12Speaker 1: it off at the last minute, and maybe he will.
