- 4:04Speaker 1: Make sure you check in so you can qualify to
- 4:07Speaker 1: get the grand prize. Now, if you don't do this
- 4:09Speaker 1: scavenger hunt, you're not gonna be able to get the
- 4:12Speaker 1: grand prize. So varrue I do it. You know what
- 4:17Speaker 1: I'm saying. It's gonna be real cool. All right, let's
- 4:21Speaker 1: go before the Father in prayer. Heavenly Father, we thank you,
- 4:24Speaker 1: Father God for waking us up another day. Father God,
- 4:27Speaker 1: thank you that we are in our right minds. God,
- 4:29Speaker 1: We thank you that we can come to you with
- 4:31Speaker 1: our problems, our issues in each and every circumstances that
- 4:36Speaker 1: we face today. Father, thank you, Father God, they were
- 4:39Speaker 1: able to bless our community. Father. We ask Father God
- 4:42Speaker 1: that your will will be done. Father God. Oh Lord,
- 4:45Speaker 1: not our will. God. Oh Lord, we pray that you'll
- 4:48Speaker 1: bless everyone who's listening to this podcast. So God, open
- 4:51Speaker 1: up their hearts, open up their spiritual eyes, Oh God,
- 4:54Speaker 1: let them receive their rainow word, Oh God, Oh God.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Let us be nourished, Oh God, And let us be replenished,
- 5:01Speaker 1: Oh God. Let us be encouraged with your words, Oh God.
- 5:04Speaker 1: As we crucify our flash show God, and as we
- 5:07Speaker 1: choose to walk in the spirit O God, we thank
- 5:11Speaker 1: you Father and Jesus' mighty name. Amen. All right. So,
- 5:24Speaker 1: as I said in the opening, this is Stephan's defense.
- 5:30Speaker 1: This is where he's going to serve them a conviction sandwich.
- 5:36Speaker 1: And this is the work of the Holy Spirit. We
- 5:39Speaker 1: really have to pay attention and zoom in on how
- 5:43Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit operates in our hearts, in our lives. Right.
- 5:49Speaker 1: The Holy Spirit, you know, we come back lies with truth,
- 5:54Speaker 1: and the only way we're really going to get the
- 5:55Speaker 1: spiritual truth is through the Word of God and that
- 5:59Speaker 1: power or the Holy Spirit working in and through us.
- 6:04Speaker 1: And so the Word of God will show us who
- 6:07Speaker 1: we are. It's like a mirror, and that's exactly what
- 6:11Speaker 1: happened here. The Nation of Israel looked in the mirror,
- 6:17Speaker 1: and they did not like what they saw, but belove it.
- 6:22Speaker 1: If we don't like what we see, let's respond the
- 6:25Speaker 1: correct way. And as we're about to read, they responded
- 6:30Speaker 1: it incorrectly, incorrectly, that God wanted to move and bless
- 6:35Speaker 1: them and bring them into salvation. They completely refused, and
- 6:42Speaker 1: let that not be our story. Amen, all right? So
- 6:46Speaker 1: Stephen's defense and first fifty, and remember the charges they
- 6:52Speaker 1: charged him of violating the law of Moses and conspiring
- 6:58Speaker 1: with Jesus to destroy the temple. And he's talking about
- 7:05Speaker 1: how ridiculous is it to destroy a temple? Then there
- 7:09Speaker 1: is no building that we could build that can contain
- 7:12Speaker 1: God a man. So that's where we pick it up
- 7:15Speaker 1: in verse fifty, and it says, has my hand not
- 7:18Speaker 1: made all things? Hallelujah? Now Stephan is quoting Isaiah sixty
- 7:25Speaker 1: six right here, and he's reminding the Sanhedrin. Now, this
- 7:30Speaker 1: is the same court that tried Jesus himself, right that
- 7:38Speaker 1: God cannot be contained in building systems or even rituals. Right,
- 7:44Speaker 1: Israel had begun to worship the simple instead of the substance.
- 7:50Speaker 1: The temple was never meant to replace our obedience. Let
- 7:54Speaker 1: me say that again. The building, the temple is it's
- 8:01Speaker 1: never meant to replace our obedience. Now, this verse shuts
- 8:06Speaker 1: down religious pride. Is what's going on here. Stephan is singing.
- 8:11Speaker 1: You think you own God because you own a building.
- 8:18Speaker 1: God made everything, not just the temple, and the moment
- 8:25Speaker 1: we think God belongs to our system. We are already wrong,
- 8:33Speaker 1: a man, We're already wrong. We think we have the
- 8:38Speaker 1: exclusive on God. I've seen it. I've seen religions, and
- 8:42Speaker 1: I've seen people say, if you're not baptized in our church,
- 8:46Speaker 1: then you're not saved. Or if you don't do what
- 8:49Speaker 1: we say or how we do it, or if you're
- 8:52Speaker 1: not with us, then you're not saved. Basically, God is
- 8:56Speaker 1: not with you. He's just with us. And that's a
- 9:00Speaker 1: cultic mentality a man. God is not into division. He
- 9:06Speaker 1: wants us to come together in unity as brothers and
- 9:10Speaker 1: as sisters. Amen. Now verse fifty one, Ye, stiff necked
- 9:22Speaker 1: in uncircumcised and heart and ears, you do always resist
- 9:28Speaker 1: the Holy Ghost as your fathers did. So do ye.
- 9:34Speaker 1: I'm going back from the old King James and new
- 9:37Speaker 1: King James. You stiff necked in uncircumcised in heart and years.
- 9:43Speaker 1: You always resist the Holy Spirit as your fathers did,
- 9:46Speaker 1: so do you. Wow, that is a sad place to
- 9:54Speaker 1: be in because the Holy Spirit always testifies of Jesus.
- 9:59Speaker 1: We can't get saved without the Holy Spirit. This right here,
- 10:03Speaker 1: If you resist the Holy Spirit, you are sealing your doom. Now,
- 10:15Speaker 1: the way he's speaking at this point is prophetic. It's
- 10:19Speaker 1: prophetic language, echoeing Moses and the prophets Moses. He's echoing
- 10:28Speaker 1: Moses and the Prophets. Stiff necked describes an os that
- 10:34Speaker 1: refuses to be guided. It could be good in some areas,
- 10:39Speaker 1: but is not good in our relationship with God. Is
- 10:43Speaker 1: never good to be stiff necked in our walk with
- 10:47Speaker 1: the Lord. This issue is in ignorance, its resistance. They
- 10:54Speaker 1: knew what they were doing for the most part. Now,
- 11:01Speaker 1: Stephan just crossed the line. But it was a holy
- 11:06Speaker 1: line right here. It was a line that needed to
- 11:10Speaker 1: be crossed. Now, circumcision was physical, but God always wanted
- 11:19Speaker 1: the heart. They had ears, but refused to hear knowledge
- 11:25Speaker 1: without submission. Now, let's be honest. You could be saved
- 11:35Speaker 1: and still resist the Holy Spirit. Man, This is so true,
- 11:47Speaker 1: and it is scary amen. Verse fifty two. Which other
- 11:58Speaker 1: prophets have you not your father's persecuted? And they have
- 12:05Speaker 1: slain them which shoot before the coming of the Just One,
- 12:16Speaker 1: of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers?
- 12:25Speaker 1: Which other prophets did your fathers not persecute? And they
- 12:30Speaker 1: killed those who foretold the coming of the Just One,
- 12:36Speaker 1: of whom you now have become the betrayers and murderers
- 12:41Speaker 1: of Wow, Wow, Wow Wow. Now Stephan traces a consistent
- 12:49Speaker 1: pattern here. God sends messengers, people reject them. God vindicates
- 12:57Speaker 1: the messenger, Jesus. This was the the accumulation, excuse me
- 13:05Speaker 1: of that rejection Jesus was accumulation of all that. It
- 13:10Speaker 1: was all leading up to Jesus himself. They rejected their
- 13:16Speaker 1: very own Messiah. Now this his heart right here. They
- 13:26Speaker 1: honored dead prophets, but killed living prophets. They killed the
- 13:34Speaker 1: living truth, Jesus himself. Stephan exposes hypocrisy. You know what
- 13:45Speaker 1: I'm saying. You decorate the graves of prophets, but crucify
- 13:52Speaker 1: the Messiah.
- 13:55Speaker 2: That is.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Hypocrisy at its highest. Man. We have to guard our
- 14:02Speaker 1: hearts because we all have the potential to behave this
- 14:07Speaker 1: way fifty three, who have received a law by the
- 14:14Speaker 1: disposition of angels and have not kept it? Now, this
- 14:20Speaker 1: is convicted right here, who received the law by the
- 14:24Speaker 1: direction of angels and have not kept the law? Now,
- 14:30Speaker 1: the law was divinely delivered to the nation of Israel,
- 14:35Speaker 1: but humanity broken. It was delivered by angels, but it
- 14:46Speaker 1: was broken by humans. Law without grace condemns. Law is
- 14:55Speaker 1: what makes us guilty. Law is what revives sin in us. Now,
- 15:05Speaker 1: this can be devastating. They prided themselves on having the law,
- 15:12Speaker 1: but never lived it out, never obeyed it. Truth you
- 15:18Speaker 1: don't obey becomes judgment. Let me say that again. Truth.
- 15:29Speaker 1: If you don't obey, it becomes judgment. Wow I am.
- 15:47Speaker 1: I don't know about y'all, but I'm convicted. Amen, hallelujah.
- 15:58Speaker 1: All right, Let's go to verse fifty four. Or when
- 16:02Speaker 1: they heard these things, they were cut to the heart,
- 16:06Speaker 1: and they gnashed on him with their teeth, Y King James,
- 16:13Speaker 1: and they heard this thing, They were cut to the heart,
- 16:17Speaker 1: and they gnashed at him with their teeth. Man almost
- 16:23Speaker 1: worded exactly the same. Now, being cut to the heart
- 16:28Speaker 1: doesn't always lead to repentance, right sometimes it leads to rage.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Conviction rejected becomes violence. Let me say that again. Conviction
- 16:44Speaker 1: when it's rejected becomes violence. You can tell when someone
- 16:48Speaker 1: is fighting against the Holy Spirit. But there's still hope
- 16:53Speaker 1: because I think of the Apostle Paul. The Apostle Paul
- 16:58Speaker 1: became violent when he resisted the Holy Spirit. Even Jesus
- 17:03Speaker 1: himself said, isn't it hard to kick against the golds?
- 17:08Speaker 1: And he began to arrest the church and persecute and
- 17:11Speaker 1: put people to death. But God was still able to
- 17:16Speaker 1: reach him a man. So if you have a family member,
- 17:20Speaker 1: a loved one right now, we have a family member
- 17:24Speaker 1: who is all out rebelling against God right now and
- 17:30Speaker 1: has perpetrated violence, and it's doing a lot of destructive things.
- 17:36Speaker 1: But I believe she doesn't know it, but she is
- 17:40Speaker 1: fighting against the conviction of the Holy Spirit. I pray
- 17:44Speaker 1: that God will arrest her heart. Amen. See truth though
- 17:49Speaker 1: it doesn't always produce tears, sometimes it produces teeth grinding anger.
- 17:58Speaker 1: It's the same gospel, but it's a different heart. And
- 18:05Speaker 1: when I was teaching this at my home church, fresh Wind,
- 18:10Speaker 1: I looked at the difference between this crowd and Peter's crowd.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Remember at the Day of Pentecost, those men were moved
- 18:19Speaker 1: and convicted by their hearts as well. But their response
- 18:22Speaker 1: was how must we be saved? Like, what must we
- 18:27Speaker 1: do this one? They're gnashing their teeth at Stephan ay
- 18:37Speaker 1: Man verse fifty five. But he, being full of the Holygos,
- 18:46Speaker 1: looked up steadfastly into heaven and saw the glory of
- 18:51Speaker 1: God and Jesus standing on the right hand of the Father. Amen,
- 19:00Speaker 1: being full of the Holy Spirit, gazed into heaven and
- 19:03Speaker 1: saw the glory of God and Jesus standing at the
- 19:07Speaker 1: right hand of God, and said, look, I see the
- 19:11Speaker 1: heavens open, and the Son of Man standing at the
- 19:15Speaker 1: right hand of God. Amen. Back to the King James
- 19:22Speaker 1: and staid, behold, I see that heaven's open and the
- 19:25Speaker 1: Son of Man standing on the right hand of God. Wow,
- 19:31Speaker 1: this is amazing right here.
- 19:41Speaker 2: Now.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Jesus is always described as sitting at the right hand
- 19:46Speaker 1: of the Father. Here he is standing honoring his first
- 19:52Speaker 1: faithful witness. Heaven opens to earth's persecution. Can you imagine
- 20:02Speaker 1: that you gave your life to Christ and the next
- 20:06Speaker 1: thing you see is Christ standing at the right hand
- 20:10Speaker 1: of the Father. The first thing you're gonna think is
- 20:17Speaker 1: it was worth it all? Amen? Now this is powerful.
- 20:24Speaker 1: While they're losing control, Stephan is filled with the spirit.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Earth is raging, Heaven is open, Jesus is standing. That's
- 20:38Speaker 1: a t shirt. The earth is raging, Heaven is open,
- 20:43Speaker 1: Jesus is standing. Hallelujah. Let that be our story, Allow
- 20:49Speaker 1: that to be our experience, Amen, Verse fifty seven. Then
- 20:57Speaker 1: they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears,
- 21:04Speaker 1: and ran upon him with one accord. While then they
- 21:10Speaker 1: cried out with a loud voice, stopped their ears, and
- 21:13Speaker 1: ran at him with one accord. And they cast him
- 21:17Speaker 1: out of the city and stoned him a man. And
- 21:27Speaker 1: they cast him out of the city and stoned him.
- 21:32Speaker 1: And the witnesses laid down their clothes at the young
- 21:37Speaker 1: man's feet, whose name is Saul. Now this is the
- 21:42Speaker 1: first mention of the apostle, Paul right here. His name
- 21:48Speaker 1: is Saul. He goes to become the apostle. But let's
- 21:54Speaker 1: not get ahead of ourselves. Now they've literally stopped their ears.
- 22:01Speaker 1: A physical picture of spiritual refusal. Man, how stubborn can
- 22:07Speaker 1: you be?
- 22:08Speaker 2: Wow?
- 22:10Speaker 1: Religion without the spirit becomes very dangerous. And we can
- 22:17Speaker 1: see that around the world today. Amen. Now they didn't
- 22:23Speaker 1: debict him, they silenced him. When truth threatens power, violence
- 22:32Speaker 1: will follow. Let me say that again. When truth threatens power,
- 22:40Speaker 1: they will try to silence you. They will come at
- 22:45Speaker 1: you with violence. All right, let's finish this out Acts
- 22:52Speaker 1: Chapter seven, verse fifty nine and sixty. And they stone Stephan,
- 23:00Speaker 1: calling upon God and saying, Lord, Jesus, receive my spirit.
- 23:08Speaker 1: And he kneeled down and cried with a loud voice, Lord,
- 23:13Speaker 1: laying out this sin to their charge. And when he
- 23:18Speaker 1: had said this, he fell asleep. Amen. The new King,
- 23:28Speaker 1: James says, And they stoned Stephan as he was calling
- 23:32Speaker 1: on God and saying, Lord, Jesus, receive my spirits. Then
- 23:37Speaker 1: he kneeled down and cried out with a loud voice, Lord,
- 23:41Speaker 1: do not charge them with this sin. And when he
- 23:46Speaker 1: had said this, he fell asleep. Amen. Now Stephan mirrors
- 23:54Speaker 1: Jesus exactly, trusting God and forgiving his enemies. Now this
- 24:05Speaker 1: is called the ultimate evidence of the Holy Spirit's power.
- 24:12Speaker 1: Only by the Holy Spirit could this have been done.
- 24:17Speaker 1: This is not weakness, this is Christ's likeness. Right here,
- 24:22Speaker 1: Stephan dies praying for his killers. Man, how many of
- 24:27Speaker 1: us could do the same thing. That's the Gospel lived,
- 24:34Speaker 1: not just preached. Man, And I want to believe one
- 24:42Speaker 1: hundred percent that our brothers and sisters abroad who are
- 24:49Speaker 1: giving their lives for the Gospel, they are probably following
- 24:55Speaker 1: the same thing. I doubt that they are dying cursing
- 25:00Speaker 1: their enemies, but forgiving them, praying for them, and loving them. Oh, God,
- 25:06Speaker 1: give us the same spirit. Now, as we closed this book,
- 25:14Speaker 1: a couple of things I wanted to point out. And
- 25:17Speaker 1: I didn't really get a chance to come to a
- 25:20Speaker 1: conclusion when I was teaching that fresh Win. But if
- 25:24Speaker 1: I mean asked some great questions if you listen, it's
- 25:30Speaker 1: available to listen to in the archives right here. But
- 25:35Speaker 1: one point I wanted to point out was the fact
- 25:37Speaker 1: that these men were empowered by the Holy Spirit. I
- 25:41Speaker 1: wanted to point out how the Apostles, especially Peter, denied Christ.
- 25:47Speaker 1: He was basically afraid of a servant girl and now
- 25:51Speaker 1: transformed into a powerful witness, and Stephan receives the same spirit. Now,
- 25:59Speaker 1: remember they say that he did wonders in the midst
- 26:03Speaker 1: of the people of Israel, and miracles and signs. Now
- 26:09Speaker 1: when they were killing him, I believe he had the
- 26:15Speaker 1: power to curse that whole crowd. He could have cursed everyone,
- 26:20Speaker 1: because remember Jesus says that we have been given the
- 26:24Speaker 1: keys of the kingdom. If we forgive those, their sins
- 26:28Speaker 1: will be forgiven. But if we charge those, then their
- 26:31Speaker 1: sins will remain. Like the Lord has given that power
- 26:34Speaker 1: in our hands. Now, I imagine if Stephan was of
- 26:39Speaker 1: a different spirit decided to curse the crowd. Guess who
- 26:43Speaker 1: is in that crowd. That's right, the Apostle Paul himself.
- 26:50Speaker 1: Now this is just my opinion, and Stephan would have
- 26:53Speaker 1: cursed that whole crowd. We probably would not have had
- 26:56Speaker 1: the Apostle Paul, and I believe a lot of the
- 27:01Speaker 1: books in the New Testament would have been missing because
- 27:07Speaker 1: Paul would have been exed out of the whole race.
- 27:12Speaker 1: And so application time, who are you withholding forgiveness from
- 27:19Speaker 1: this man forgave his killers as they were in the
- 27:26Speaker 1: act of doing so. Not just one killer, a group
- 27:30Speaker 1: of killers, a group of murderers. His life was leaving
- 27:38Speaker 1: his body, and his last breath was forgive them. Do
- 27:43Speaker 1: not lay this sin at their charge, just like Jesus Christ, Amen,
- 27:49Speaker 1: love it. This is where we need to be and
- 27:51Speaker 1: I'm not saying I'm there. I got some work to do.
- 27:58Speaker 1: But this right here, it's Christ's likeness. Which apostle Paul
- 28:06Speaker 1: in your life? Are you holding in chains? Release your
- 28:12Speaker 1: Apostle Paul. The world needs him forgive that person so
- 28:17Speaker 1: they can go on and do the work of the Lord.
- 28:22Speaker 1: Be right back.
- 28:24Speaker 3: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 28:28Speaker 3: is the hiss hop radio show.
- 28:32Speaker 4: I can't let no better stand it. I can't let
- 28:34Speaker 4: no botter start me in. I can't let no rotter stoney.
- 28:40Speaker 4: I can't let nobody. I can't let nobody.
- 28:43Speaker 5: I can't let nobody styn it trying to catch a
- 28:46Speaker 5: blessed fly, catch.
- 28:47Speaker 2: A body, become a whole team. Women know they got
- 28:50Speaker 2: me dy like nobody thump.
- 28:54Speaker 6: I can't let nobody stop it stop. I can't let
- 28:57Speaker 6: nobody stop me. No, I can't let nobody stop me.
- 29:02Speaker 6: But I can't let nobody stop me now.
- 29:05Speaker 2: I can't let nobody stop me. Not be doing this.
- 29:07Speaker 2: I long to feel like winning. Just so Ivy Nod
- 29:10Speaker 2: came from the trenches, or did it? Independent settle? He
- 29:13Speaker 2: got his big headed cap don't fit it.
- 29:15Speaker 6: Ain't no lives in them speaking on it only tell
- 29:17Speaker 6: the truth so much shorter on me. Now wipe me
- 29:19Speaker 6: down like some a suit. We've been really in the
- 29:22Speaker 6: field finning, finally eat the food. Don't you try to
- 29:24Speaker 6: touch my meal? Mop you old my loop and my
- 29:26Speaker 6: dogs put in work, be stepping.
- 29:28Speaker 2: On your turf.
- 29:29Speaker 6: We've been really at their neck, and we findlam make
- 29:31Speaker 6: it worse. If they really trying to stop me, better
- 29:34Speaker 6: put me in a horse track and mud all their
- 29:36Speaker 6: house because we got it out the dirt we were
- 29:38Speaker 6: talking about.
- 29:40Speaker 5: I can't let nobody stop me trying to catch a
- 29:43Speaker 5: blessing for I.
- 29:43Speaker 2: Catch a body.
- 29:44Speaker 3: Come.
- 29:45Speaker 2: My whole team with me.
- 29:46Speaker 5: Know they got me and nobody righty righty like nobody doro.
- 29:51Speaker 2: I can't let nobody stop me stop. I can't let.
- 29:54Speaker 6: Nobody stop me. No, yeah, I can't let nobody stop me.
- 29:58Speaker 6: But I can't let nobody stop me.
- 30:01Speaker 2: Now shot start.
- 30:13Speaker 5: I can't let nobody standing start trying to catch a
- 30:17Speaker 5: blessing for I catch a boddy.
- 30:18Speaker 2: I'm a whole team.
- 30:19Speaker 5: Women know they got me thinking and nobody righty righty
- 30:23Speaker 5: like nobody.
- 30:23Speaker 1: Jump.
- 30:25Speaker 2: I can't let nobody stop it. Get you stop. I
- 30:27Speaker 2: can't let nobody stop me.
- 30:29Speaker 3: No.
- 30:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I can't let nobody stop it.
- 30:33Speaker 6: I can't let nobody stop me.
- 30:41Speaker 3: You are listening to the light of Las Vegas. This
- 30:45Speaker 3: is the hiss Hop radio show.
- 31:05Speaker 1: All right, all right, we are back from that break.
- 31:08Speaker 1: That is our brother Derek Minor. Ain't let nobody stop us.
- 31:12Speaker 1: Come on, y'all, this is the gospel. All right. We
- 31:18Speaker 1: just finished Acts chapter seven with Stephan's defense. We're gonna
- 31:25Speaker 1: be taking a look at the apostle Paul right here.
- 31:28Speaker 1: But Stephan gave his blessing. He released these men from
- 31:33Speaker 1: this sin. And look at how the gospel spread in
- 31:39Speaker 1: that area in a major way. Amen, hallelujah. All right,
- 31:46Speaker 1: now it's time for the accountability partner. This is where
- 31:52Speaker 1: we pray for each other. This is where we confess
- 31:56Speaker 1: our weaknesses, where we confess our struggles. This is where
- 32:01Speaker 1: we hold each other accountable. Right, It only works as
- 32:06Speaker 1: if we're honest. We have integrity, and it's great, man,
- 32:09Speaker 1: it's great to come together and agree in prayer because
- 32:12Speaker 1: there's power and agreement. Some things in our lives will
- 32:16Speaker 1: not be broken until we agree with our brother and
- 32:20Speaker 1: sister in prayer. Look it up, study it up, read
- 32:25Speaker 1: it out. The Bible says one can chase a thousand,
- 32:28Speaker 1: but two can chase ten thousands. So there's always power
- 32:33Speaker 1: in unity. And with that being said, you know usually
- 32:36Speaker 1: there's a follow up call right after the show. You know,
- 32:41Speaker 1: if you want to join the call with us. You
- 32:43Speaker 1: know myself in Zone three, we pray. We talk about
- 32:46Speaker 1: family issues. We pray over them, you know, things that
- 32:50Speaker 1: men deal with right with our family, our wives and
- 32:52Speaker 1: our children. You know, we pray together. And trust me,
- 32:57Speaker 1: you are either facing a problem, you're coming out of
- 33:01Speaker 1: a problem, or you're going into a situation. Right, why
- 33:05Speaker 1: not face everything in prayer with brothers and sisters. So
- 33:09Speaker 1: join us in a life chat or join the call,
- 33:13Speaker 1: or you can go further with this Accountability Partner segment.
- 33:17Speaker 1: Click the top left menu, then click on podcasts, click
- 33:22Speaker 1: on my podcast It's out radio and find the link
- 33:25Speaker 1: Accountability Partner. Fill that out so that you know we
- 33:30Speaker 1: can come together in agreement. There's power in prayer a
- 33:35Speaker 1: man where no one's above it. We all need this.
- 33:39Speaker 1: And so today's challenge for the Accountability Partner, or should
- 33:44Speaker 1: I say the quick check in right, this is you
- 33:50Speaker 1: need to call or text and let this be the
- 33:53Speaker 1: discussion you know, we give you out some ideas, some
- 33:56Speaker 1: topics just to get it started, you know. And if
- 33:59Speaker 1: you want to just use this as a starting point
- 34:03Speaker 1: and then talk about other things, that's, you know, be
- 34:05Speaker 1: led by the spirit. Amen. So the topic is where
- 34:10Speaker 1: are you resisting the Holy Spirit right now? Right? It's
- 34:16Speaker 1: difficult to be in perfect surrender, perfect submission. Is it forgiveness?
- 34:27Speaker 1: Are you refusing to forgive someone? Our pastorally says, are
- 34:32Speaker 1: you better than God? Are you bigger than God? If
- 34:37Speaker 1: God can forgive, who are you to withhold it? Are
- 34:43Speaker 1: you resisting the Holy Spirit on your obedience? Are we
- 34:47Speaker 1: refusing to obey in a certain area of our lives?
- 34:54Speaker 1: Or could it be letting go of tradition? It could
- 35:01Speaker 1: be a multitude of things, right, multiple things. Don't harden
- 35:06Speaker 1: your heart like they did, Keep a soft heart. Amen. Also,
- 35:13Speaker 1: we want to let you know that it's high Radio
- 35:18Speaker 1: as a monitor in a reporting charting radio station. We
- 35:23Speaker 1: pay royalties. We send your music to the gospel charts

- 35:56Speaker 1: one on his Hot Radio. All right, now it's time
- 36:05Speaker 1: for the trivia question. All right, get your fingers ready
- 36:10Speaker 1: to type this in in the live chat right now.
- 36:14Speaker 1: It's been Corinth in Zone three. They've been going head
- 36:20Speaker 1: to head on the answers here, so we want you
- 36:24Speaker 1: to join in the game. Also, just a quick plug
- 36:29Speaker 1: for the app. If you go to the menu, the
- 36:33Speaker 1: top left menu, scroll down and you see a tab
- 36:36Speaker 1: that says game night. We got some pretty cool games
- 36:40Speaker 1: on an app that you can play. There's a Bible
- 36:44Speaker 1: Memory Verse game. You can find our scavenger Hunt right there.
- 36:47Speaker 1: We're going to continue to Scavenger Hunt throughout the years,
- 36:51Speaker 1: so get familiar with it, win some prizes, get some
- 36:55Speaker 1: cool stuff. All right, So here is the question. Who
- 37:03Speaker 1: was present at Stephen's stoning and later became a major
- 37:09Speaker 1: figure in the church. Let me ask that again. Who
- 37:15Speaker 1: was present at stephen stoning? And later he wrote two
- 37:24Speaker 1: thirds of the New Testament? Amen I actually mentioned him
- 37:29Speaker 1: in this segment, so that should be an easy one.
- 37:48Speaker 1: That was time for the community shout out. As I said,
- 37:52Speaker 1: we're at the Cambridge Recreation Center. Come and meet our
- 37:56Speaker 1: brother's own three. He's gonna bless the mic for us. Man. Also,
- 38:01Speaker 1: I'm gonna be on the ones in tunes spending some
- 38:04Speaker 1: great tunes for y'all, bringing the word of God. Also
- 38:09Speaker 1: meet that His High team. Come and get your gifts,
- 38:14Speaker 1: Come and get your prizes as we come together and
- 38:18Speaker 1: work together as a community to bless our people. Also,
- 38:31Speaker 1: we want to shout out His Hot Nation our nonprofit side.
- 38:35Speaker 1: If you want to go to His Hot Nation dot
- 38:38Speaker 1: org you can see our programs. We have a youth program,
- 38:42Speaker 1: multiple programs to We have classes that we want to
- 38:46Speaker 1: introduce to the community, concerts and events. We just visited
- 38:51Speaker 1: the Juvenile Attention Center and the Holy spirit fell those
- 38:57Speaker 1: group of kids where they were asking when and you know,
- 39:01Speaker 1: are we going to return and things like that. So
- 39:05Speaker 1: I definitely have a heart to minister to that generation
- 39:11Speaker 1: and to reach them. Thank you God. Well, we need
- 39:14Speaker 1: your support. We need to be sustained our outreaches. We
- 39:18Speaker 1: need to open up another building, a new location for
- 39:21Speaker 1: His Hot Nation. So asking for help from our community.
- 39:28Speaker 1: If you would like to donate something as little as
- 39:32Speaker 1: one dollar two dollars a month helps and we appreciate
- 39:36Speaker 1: our donors who do that. You know, five ten, one hundred,
- 39:42Speaker 1: one thousand, a couple of thousand. We're trying to raise
- 39:44Speaker 1: fifty grand so that we can walk into our new building.
- 39:49Speaker 1: Amen to hallelujah. God's race is amazing And if you
- 39:58Speaker 1: would like to do so, just head over to our
- 40:00Speaker 1: website his Hot Nation dot com, or can do it
- 40:04Speaker 1: on the app His Hot Radio on all platforms. It's
- 40:07Speaker 1: all the tax deductible. All right, Now it's time for
- 40:18Speaker 1: our close out. This is my time belove it. But
- 40:22Speaker 1: we do have some comments. As we close out chapter seven,
- 40:26Speaker 1: we are moving through the Book of Acts. If you
- 40:29Speaker 1: want to check out the other books we've already journeyed through.
- 40:32Speaker 1: We've been through the Book of Revelation, that was the
- 40:35Speaker 1: first book that we started this podcast with. Is in
- 40:40Speaker 1: the archive. And you want to find the archives, go
- 40:42Speaker 1: back to the top left menu, get that drop down,
- 40:46Speaker 1: click on podcasts, click on His Hot Radio podcast and
- 40:50Speaker 1: then scroll down to the very bottom where it says
- 40:53Speaker 1: play and it brings you to our page where we
- 40:56Speaker 1: have all of our other teaching over there. So closing comments,
- 41:09Speaker 1: Stephan didn't die defeated. This was not a defeat for
- 41:14Speaker 1: Stephan or for the Early Church. He died because he
- 41:21Speaker 1: was faithful, faithful and loyal to our Savior Jesus. Now,
- 41:32Speaker 1: if you want to be filled with the Holy Spirit,
- 41:37Speaker 1: if you want the same boldness as Stephan, and if
- 41:44Speaker 1: you want a heart that is like Christ, now is
- 41:51Speaker 1: the time. Now pray with me, because we can't close
- 41:59Speaker 1: out this say without prayer together. And the first thing
- 42:07Speaker 1: we need to do is to repent. Ask God for forgiveness,
- 42:13Speaker 1: not just because of the things that we've done that
- 42:15Speaker 1: we're wrong, but the things that we should have done
- 42:19Speaker 1: and didn't do. It's called the sins of omission and comission.
- 42:31Speaker 1: So let's pray, Heavenly Father, forgive us for our sins
- 42:35Speaker 1: this day. Forgive us for failing to be faithful, even
- 42:40Speaker 1: in the small areas. Forgive us for giving into temptation
- 42:46Speaker 1: to be lazy or to be gluttonous. Forgive us for
- 43:00Speaker 1: the things that we failed to do, and for the
- 43:03Speaker 1: things that we did do the words we've said, our attitudes,
- 43:06Speaker 1: and our actions that were sinful. Forgive us for resisting
- 43:11Speaker 1: the conviction of the Holy Spirit. We apply the blood
- 43:18Speaker 1: of Jesus, Oh God. Right now, Lord, I applied on
- 43:22Speaker 1: myself and on everyone listening to this segment. Watch us clean,
- 43:29Speaker 1: put a hedge around us, and cancel the assignments of
- 43:35Speaker 1: hell in our lives. Oh God, Father God, we see
- 43:40Speaker 1: the great power that fell on Stephan in the early
- 43:44Speaker 1: Church and the Apostles. We asked for that same power,
- 43:48Speaker 1: that same spirit to fall on us. Now, let us
- 43:53Speaker 1: arise from this podcast on fire for you. Let us
- 44:01Speaker 1: be a people that you can trust with this gospel
- 44:05Speaker 1: message and with the power to preach it with miracles,
- 44:11Speaker 1: signs and with wonders. We receive your Holy Spirit. Father,
- 44:19Speaker 1: we receive the power. We receive your forgiveness because you
- 44:23Speaker 1: are faithful to your word. Strengthen our faith in these areas,
- 44:29Speaker 1: Oh Lord. And we asked this in Jesus' name. Amen, hallelujah.
- 44:37Speaker 1: If you pray that prayer, let us know in the
- 44:40Speaker 1: live chat we will be back with Acts chapter eight.
- 44:44Speaker 1: And remember, it's not about us, It's all about the
- 44:49Speaker 1: Christ in us. Amen.
- 44:51Speaker 3: You are listening to the Light of Las Vegas. This
- 44:55Speaker 3: is the Hiss Hop Radio show.
