Transcript
- 0:20Hey everybody, so I got this message from my friend in
- 0:23response to an audio message I sent her explaining how hard it
- 0:28is in the season. And to be honest with you, I
- 0:32would have to admit that one of my biggest fears, as Job said,
- 0:35the thing I feared most has come upon me is when I don't feel
- 0:39like there's a way out. When I don't know what to do.
- 0:42When something has been so wrong for so long and I have tried
- 0:47everything I know, tapped into every resource I have and
- 0:51nothing is changing. Something that is so painful and
- 0:55I just have to accept that maybe I don't know.
- 0:59Maybe I can't calculator, strategize, or obtain enough
- 1:03information or tools or resources to extricate myself
- 1:07from a painful life dynamic. And this experience being
- 1:12ongoing has caused me to have to trust the Lord in a new way.
- 1:17Because the truth is that I, I can't solve all of my problems.
- 1:23And sometimes Jesus doesn't give us the fix it answer.
- 1:27Sometimes he's like, I need you to trust me in this hard, hard,
- 1:30hard place. And in response to that
- 1:33conversation with my friend, I received this message.
- 1:37And I thought, you know, I'm probably not the only person who
- 1:40has a persistent problem. And maybe you need to hear this.
- 1:43Maybe you're going through grief, maybe you're experiencing
- 1:47loss in some way or other. And I just think that this
- 1:50message, it's gold and it's truly from the lips of Yeshua
- 1:55himself. Sorry that you are going through
- 2:19the grief. I know you'll continue to walk
- 2:21through it. And I know that the Lord is so
- 2:23faithful to to hold your hand and witness it and catch every
- 2:26tear and, and that none of it's for waste.
- 2:30There's information in your tears.
- 2:33I can feel his honor, the Lord's honor for you as you're trusting
- 2:36him with your tears and that you're willing to go to that
- 2:38place where you can grieve with him.
- 2:41And that might just be the place you're in for a minute there.
- 2:44There's going to be cycles of grief.
- 2:46He's teaching you to share all of that with him and that he's
- 2:50not going to throw it in your face.
- 2:51And quite honestly, I don't believe he's going to leave you
- 2:53in that place. I think there's going to be
- 2:55something that he he gives you, but there has to be room for it
- 2:58to land. And if you have to walk through
- 3:01your grief, that's what that is right now.
- 3:04And that's OK. There might not be a solution,
- 3:07which maybe is something you need to learn is that sometimes
- 3:12things are just hard there. There isn't always a fix it.
- 3:16There isn't always an equation. There isn't always something to
- 3:20put a bow on it, make it pretty again.
- 3:22Sometimes it just is. I have to let myself feel this
- 3:26and and to be witnessed by Yeshua in the rawness of my
- 3:30emotion. So it's almost like, again,
- 3:34you're turning yourself to the Lord and you're literally
- 3:37pulling back all of the veils and the costumes and the
- 3:41protections and you're saying, look at my bleeding heart.
- 3:45I'm not withholding it from you. Because what does that do when
- 3:48we expose our wound to Yeshua's light?
- 3:51There's life that can pour back into that place.
- 3:53And that's the only way that we can get life back into that
- 3:55place is to literally show him everything.
- 3:59And in even in, in that, it feels like that is an act of
- 4:02honour to the Lord of saying, I trust you with this intimate
- 4:06thing that I don't even know what to do with.
- 4:10Come look at it, dissect it with me.
- 4:12Pour your light over this. Let me weep into your shoulder.
- 4:17Let me tell you exactly how I'm feeling.
- 4:22It's that's intimacy. There's intimacy there.
- 4:25Maybe attempt to stop squirming. Someone should just like honor
- 4:28that there's grief there. There's not a good way through
- 4:31grief other than just letting yourself feel it and and move
- 4:34it. Give it to the Lord.
- 4:36Have the Lord witness you in your grief.
- 4:39It's OK to not know. Maybe that's your answer from
- 4:41the Lord right now. It's like not yet love.
- 4:45It's OK to be in the I don't know again, instead of flailing
- 4:48around and trying to come up with a solution, I have to fix
- 4:51this there. I'm, you know, I just found the
- 4:52I just have to find the right equation.
- 4:53I just have to read the right book.
- 4:54I just have to find the thing. Da, da, da.
- 4:56There's got to be an there's got to be an answer.
- 4:57There's got to be an answer. It's eluding you from actually
- 4:59being in a place of stillness with the Lord.
- 5:01Again, sometimes the I don't know is the answer until he
- 5:06tells you there's a different answer.
- 5:10And what a practice to stop flailing.
- 5:12It reminds me of trying to hug a kid that's throwing a temper
- 5:14tantrum when they finally give in.
- 5:18Let the Lord wrap himself around you.
- 5:19Even in the I don't know. That might be his actual answer
- 5:24for you is not yet like stay in the I don't know because He
- 5:29does. He knows.
- 5:32Like set aside what your brain thinks it knows and trust that
- 5:35He does and that is trustworthy. You can stake your life on what
- 5:39he knows. And he also, I think, honors
- 5:46that you're going to him with all of this, that you are being
- 5:49obedient. It's not about you performing
- 5:52correctly in this. It is about you turning to Lord
- 5:55as you're doing and, and you've listened to him.
- 5:59He's asked you to let him be your everything and that's what
- 6:02you're doing. Is it messy and sad and
- 6:08frustrating and all the things? Absolutely.
- 6:11But again, this is what intimacy looks like.
- 6:14It's not always pretty. It's not always peaceful.
- 6:17It's OK to be in the I don't know and, and to let the Lord
- 6:21show you as he's been doing and revealing to you where you need
- 6:25to take accountability or where you need to get healing or you
- 6:28know that you're taking accountability for your part and
- 6:31he's showing you those things as he sees they're beneficial for
- 6:35you. Trust his timing.
- 6:38It's not about your timing, It's about his always like lay down
- 6:41your timeline at his feet. Say yes to his, even if that
- 6:51means that your nervous system and your brain flail around
- 6:54because you don't know what the answers are.
- 6:57Who cares if you don't know what the answers are?
- 6:58The Lord does. Who cares if you don't know what
- 7:01the path ahead looks like? The Lord does.
- 7:03And that is absolutely enough. And it always will be.
- 7:07Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine
- 7:12own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him,
- 7:18and he shall drive thy paths.
