- 0:08Speaker 1: Stable advice. Shoot, it's welcome to the naughty but Nice Shows.
- 0:17Speaker 1: It's Mondays So a dear friend, Garrett Vogal Joints says, Hey, Garrett,
- 0:22Speaker 1: are you there? Rob Shooter? Merry Christmas? You are my
- 0:26Speaker 1: Christmas present? How are you very well? My friend? You
- 0:30Speaker 1: do like me? Smile? How is jingle ball? You were
- 0:33Speaker 1: there shaking your jingles and your balls. The jingles were
- 0:36Speaker 1: balling and the balling were jingles. You know it was
- 0:39Speaker 1: It was a great night of music Madison Square Garden. Yeah,
- 0:42Speaker 1: you had Lizzo dressing up like like like the Grinch
- 0:46Speaker 1: and she's hosting SNL this weekend. Pretty big. You had
- 0:50Speaker 1: someone like Dualipa, who is uh. You know, it's interesting
- 0:54Speaker 1: watching the turn of superstars, you know, like you always
- 0:58Speaker 1: have the circle of life of superstars and she is
- 1:01Speaker 1: the top of Pride Rock right now at the moment.
- 1:04Speaker 1: It's her world, her world. I'm so jealous. I couldn't
- 1:08Speaker 1: make it this year, but I shall live it through you.
- 1:11Speaker 1: Let's jump into ash. We've got a ton of gassip
- 1:13Speaker 1: by time? Is it? My friends? It is time? What
- 1:18Speaker 1: do you do for a holiday tea? Is it? Is
- 1:19Speaker 1: it any different than normally there's still the same thing.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Maybe a little honey, maybe Christmas cookie Christmas. Oh, I
- 1:25Speaker 1: love to dunker cookie. I do, and I leave my
- 1:27Speaker 1: cookie in for too long, so it goes falls into
- 1:30Speaker 1: the actually get a spoon, and so it's horrible. I
- 1:33Speaker 1: make okay. So this story at the top of the
- 1:35Speaker 1: show is breaking. It's a huge story. So after the docuseries,
- 1:40Speaker 1: now serious people, politicians in Britain are saying that Harry
- 1:45Speaker 1: and Megan should not attend King Charles's corror Nation. They're offended.
- 1:51Speaker 1: They're offended by all this and get this Garret. We're
- 1:53Speaker 1: only three episodes in the next three episodes of The Doozy.
- 1:57Speaker 1: The first three episodes we're kind of soft. It's like
- 1:59Speaker 1: a love story. I don't know if you've seen it yet.
- 2:01Speaker 1: If you haven't, it's delicious, it's good for a rainy day.
- 2:04Speaker 1: It's long, it's too long. It didn't need to be
- 2:06Speaker 1: three hours, but it's sort of like this beautiful love
- 2:09Speaker 1: story for three hours. The next three hours are gonna
- 2:12Speaker 1: be rough. So if politicians, military figures, even historians in Britain,
- 2:17Speaker 1: if they're angry, now wait wait until the end of
- 2:20Speaker 1: this week. I remember us talking about like, hey, they
- 2:23Speaker 1: own Netflix a show, they haven't been filming anything, and
- 2:26Speaker 1: it's almost like you know you do you you wait
- 2:29Speaker 1: till the last second to do a homework assignment, and
- 2:31Speaker 1: then you overdo the homework assignment just to prove the
- 2:34Speaker 1: fact that you did the homework assignment. That's what it
- 2:36Speaker 1: felt like. It does feel like them over delivered here.
- 2:40Speaker 1: So because of what they said, people in Britain, particularly politicians,
- 2:44Speaker 1: are saying, quote, they made money out of selling their
- 2:47Speaker 1: family down the river. I think it should be made
- 2:51Speaker 1: clear that the British people do not want them here.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Another person added, we certainly would be entitled to boo
- 2:57Speaker 1: them if we saw them back in Britain. The Brits
- 3:00Speaker 1: are really against this. I spoke to a couple of
- 3:03Speaker 1: my British friends a few sources over the weekend. Let's
- 3:06Speaker 1: just start with my mom. Hello Betty, helloo, So this
- 3:10Speaker 1: is the source. She's my royal expert in much muggle like,
- 3:15Speaker 1: far far away from the palace or royal life. She's furious.
- 3:18Speaker 1: She won't watch this. She was watching Netflix, and she's
- 3:21Speaker 1: not so good at pressing the buttons. She accidentally pressed
- 3:25Speaker 1: Harry and Meghan and she is so I hate to
- 3:28Speaker 1: call your mom a liar, but she pulled turned the television.
- 3:32Speaker 1: She won't get back to Netflix. She's so scared of
- 3:33Speaker 1: it now in case Harry and They can pop up.
- 3:35Speaker 1: She was convinced it was pre programmed to pop up
- 3:38Speaker 1: on her screen yes and pressing the rock butters, so
- 3:41Speaker 1: she won't watch it. The Brits are not that into it,
- 3:44Speaker 1: and overall the numbers were not great. They were not bad.
- 3:47Speaker 1: They're good numbers, but they were not staggering numbers for Netflix.
- 3:52Speaker 1: But doesn't it tell anything, I mean outside of just
- 3:55Speaker 1: Britain alone. You know they're they're they're going to watch
- 3:57Speaker 1: from Afar or watch through third parties. Um, But doesn't
- 4:01Speaker 1: it just say like maybe it might be a little
- 4:04Speaker 1: bit overkill, you know what I mean, Like, honestly, I
- 4:07Speaker 1: love this stuff, but it's three hours six hours in total.
- 4:11Speaker 1: We got another three hours, Like it's a beautiful love story,
- 4:14Speaker 1: falling in love. They met on Instagram the first date.
- 4:17Speaker 1: It's also lovely, but three hours. So though it will
- 4:22Speaker 1: probably I don't know, the next maybe six hours. It
- 4:25Speaker 1: might be mentioned. But the fact that we know the
- 4:27Speaker 1: backstory of you know, Megan was whether on a date
- 4:30Speaker 1: or just hanging out with the god awful Piers Morgan
- 4:33Speaker 1: before she met Harry. And we know that Pierce put
- 4:36Speaker 1: her in an uber and that's they met before then
- 4:39Speaker 1: on Instagram. Well but but even so on their first
- 4:42Speaker 1: real meeting, Megan Megan waited thirty minutes for Harry, right,
- 4:47Speaker 1: so that means Harry was late. Harry was like but
- 4:52Speaker 1: but but but still, Megan probably had more fun waiting
- 4:54Speaker 1: in that thirty minutes than she did with Pierce Morgan.
- 4:57Speaker 1: That's what might it does not like Megan markli All
- 5:01Speaker 1: goes back to this uber, so she was having drinksy
- 5:03Speaker 1: Piers and then Piers paid for uber. A bit of
- 5:06Speaker 1: a bit of bitter. Now. What's interesting too is a
- 5:09Speaker 1: lot of criticism about the documentary is saying the couple
- 5:12Speaker 1: that wanted privacy are now doing this massive TV special,
- 5:17Speaker 1: How can that be? They have actually responded to that,
- 5:20Speaker 1: so their spokesperson said leaving the Royal family had nothing
- 5:24Speaker 1: to do with wanting privacy. They never said that they
- 5:27Speaker 1: would disappear, that they would go into a private world
- 5:31Speaker 1: and never be seen again. That isn't the reason they
- 5:34Speaker 1: are leaving the family now, and opro pressed Harry about
- 5:38Speaker 1: his motivation. So why did he leave this family? She said?
- 5:41Speaker 1: Was the move about getting away from the UK press
- 5:44Speaker 1: and press everywhere? Or was the move because you didn't
- 5:47Speaker 1: get support from the firm, meaning the royal family. Harry
- 5:50Speaker 1: said both. So what do you think about this argument?
- 5:53Speaker 1: People are saying that they wanted privacy and now they're
- 5:56Speaker 1: doing all this publicity. Now they're saying they never said that.
- 6:00Speaker 1: But you know it's interesting too because the we all
- 6:02Speaker 1: have our own stories of oh what happens behind the walls,
- 6:06Speaker 1: and well, you know I heard through this and that
- 6:09Speaker 1: we're getting straight from the source now, you know what
- 6:11Speaker 1: I mean. That's that's what my takeaway is of as
- 6:14Speaker 1: much as like how ghastly? How dare they like? The
- 6:18Speaker 1: one thing that really struck a chord for me was
- 6:22Speaker 1: Harry saying, I've seen this story before with my mom,
- 6:27Speaker 1: and I've seen how people have treated her. I've seen
- 6:30Speaker 1: how what what it led to, and I wasn't going
- 6:33Speaker 1: to go down that road again with my my potential
- 6:38Speaker 1: soon to be why now wife. He makes a great point.
- 6:41Speaker 1: He makes a great point. The follow up to that
- 6:43Speaker 1: would be if you're talking about Princess Diana and I
- 6:47Speaker 1: think that's what he's talking about. And getting pounded is
- 6:50Speaker 1: doing a six A docuseris some people are calling in
- 6:53Speaker 1: reality show they're not Is that helping? Like it's it's difficult.
- 6:57Speaker 1: They're really famous. If they were still in the palace,
- 7:00Speaker 1: I would say, yes, that's a little bit much, Okay,
- 7:02Speaker 1: I get it, Like, but they're outside that that's why
- 7:05Speaker 1: they left. That people want to tell their stories. That
- 7:07Speaker 1: the people want to tell us stories, which brings us
- 7:08Speaker 1: to what you think of all this appole of the day,
- 7:11Speaker 1: Prince Harry and again should not attend Prince Charles's car
- 7:15Speaker 1: Red Nation next year, says politicians in Britain. Do you agree,
- 7:19Speaker 1: yes or no? Go though Twitter page and naughty nice
- 7:21Speaker 1: rob tast my pages to check back tomorrow to hear
- 7:26Speaker 1: your results. Garrett, what are you working on? All right?
- 7:28Speaker 1: So we've all been in this situation before where we
- 7:30Speaker 1: say something and then all of a sudden people jumped
- 7:32Speaker 1: down our throats like, oh my god, how dare you?
- 7:35Speaker 1: You know you you shouldn't have said that or said
- 7:38Speaker 1: that like that. Well, Jennifer Lawrence last week is walking
- 7:40Speaker 1: back some comments talking about female led action films, and
- 7:45Speaker 1: she says, you know what, my comments came out wrong.
- 7:48Speaker 1: So she was talking to she was doing an interview
- 7:50Speaker 1: with Variety and said, nobody ever put a woman in
- 7:53Speaker 1: a lead of an action movie prior to her appearance
- 7:56Speaker 1: in The Hunger Game. We all know that is not
- 7:59Speaker 1: the case me. We have the Terminator tomb writer Brown.
- 8:03Speaker 1: I mean, we can go on and on, you know,
- 8:05Speaker 1: all the movie about No, that's not right. It wasn't right.
- 8:10Speaker 1: That right, it's not right. It's not universe. Jennifer's clarifying
- 8:14Speaker 1: her thoughts, telling the Hollywood Reporter her initial comment was
- 8:16Speaker 1: a blunder, which happens people, and certainly not what I
- 8:19Speaker 1: meant to say at all. I know I'm not the
- 8:21Speaker 1: only woman who has ever led an action film, she
- 8:24Speaker 1: told the outlet. But it was my blunder. It came
- 8:26Speaker 1: out wrong. I had nerves talking to a living legend.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Of course. You know. It's it's interesting because how many
- 8:33Speaker 1: times have we said it. We we've talked the show
- 8:36Speaker 1: before and the and the comments in the Facebook group,
- 8:38Speaker 1: as much as we love them, were like, you're wrong.
- 8:40Speaker 1: You can misspeak speak all the time. But I never
- 8:43Speaker 1: said obviously the first leader action movie, like it's a
- 8:46Speaker 1: pretty big thing to claim she claimed ownership of it. Well, yeah,
- 8:51Speaker 1: but again, you know, but here's the thing. She she
- 8:55Speaker 1: she did the proper thing of you know, I made
- 8:58Speaker 1: a mistake, and and but yet that won't get that
- 9:01Speaker 1: won't get the that won't get the the platform that
- 9:06Speaker 1: her making the blunder did it right. It won't get
- 9:07Speaker 1: the same attention. But we're doing it on this show,
- 9:09Speaker 1: so we're giving you her response. And I do believe
- 9:12Speaker 1: that we talked about this a lot on that show,
- 9:15Speaker 1: don't we If you make a mistake, say sorry. We
- 9:17Speaker 1: all make mistakes. I think I'm or I try to
- 9:21Speaker 1: be really sensitive to the fact that we're all standing
- 9:24Speaker 1: on somebody else's shoulders. Giants went before us, and to
- 9:29Speaker 1: take that ownership felt a little off and actually not
- 9:33Speaker 1: like Jennifer, She's not that girl. I was surprised that
- 9:35Speaker 1: she said it. I'm not surprised that she fixed the
- 9:39Speaker 1: error as quickly as she did. Did you see Paddy
- 9:42Speaker 1: LaBelle got rushed off stage in Milwaukee overtook my timeline. Unsocially,
- 9:48Speaker 1: I've not spoke about Patty LaBelle maybe ever on the podcast,
- 9:51Speaker 1: I love her respect talk about people that went before us.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Patty is one of the originals. She was doing a
- 9:57Speaker 1: concert and some fool, some idiot phones in a bump
- 10:01Speaker 1: threat and so they ran out on stage and got Patti.
- 10:04Speaker 1: It's it seems like they would have another way to
- 10:07Speaker 1: do this, maybe just to gently lower the curtain, or
- 10:10Speaker 1: how do you talk to a performer on stage. They're
- 10:12Speaker 1: wearing an ear piece, but that's still listen to their band.
- 10:15Speaker 1: It's not so that you can communicate with them. Do
- 10:17Speaker 1: you put something up on the teleprompter? Maybe she didn't
- 10:20Speaker 1: have one. How would have you handled this? We've got
- 10:21Speaker 1: to get Patty off stage quickly, knowing knowing a few
- 10:26Speaker 1: friends who are in the security business, Yes, they did
- 10:29Speaker 1: the proper thing, because you don't know, you know, all
- 10:31Speaker 1: you know is there's a bomb threat. For all you know,
- 10:33Speaker 1: it's in the building, right, So what's the first thing
- 10:36Speaker 1: you gotta do. You can't wait for her. You can't
- 10:38Speaker 1: get a message through a through earpiece. Security gets up
- 10:42Speaker 1: there and says, hey, we have to go. They walk out.
- 10:44Speaker 1: They worked out and grabbed her exactly, and and it's
- 10:47Speaker 1: one of those you know, listen to us now you
- 10:50Speaker 1: can ask questions later. Her expressions, she was like, get off.
- 10:52Speaker 1: She's like, what are you doing when she was holding
- 10:54Speaker 1: the microphone she was they had to pry the microphone
- 10:58Speaker 1: out of her had effects. I think she carried the
- 11:00Speaker 1: microphone stand off stage with her. But I think I
- 11:03Speaker 1: think they did the right thing. Even if they went
- 11:05Speaker 1: into the microphone, like, Patty, we have to go there,
- 11:08Speaker 1: and she's like she actually said, caused even more of
- 11:11Speaker 1: a story, a craziness inside the audience. So get Patty
- 11:15Speaker 1: off the stage. Not to say that she's more important
- 11:17Speaker 1: than anybody in the stage, but doing your job of
- 11:20Speaker 1: getting the person you're paid to protect protected. And then
- 11:23Speaker 1: they cleared the vend audience, please hit the exits as
- 11:26Speaker 1: soon as possible, right right, So ultimately everybody's okay, But
- 11:29Speaker 1: what an awful thing to happen. The videos upon a
- 11:31Speaker 1: Lady gossip dot Com. It's wild to see Patty Patty strong.
- 11:34Speaker 1: I like it. She's like, what is going on? Hold on,
- 11:37Speaker 1: and they're like, Patty, we gotta move. Hey, what's going
- 11:40Speaker 1: on with Whippy Goldberg talking about Kim kardashi hadn't so
- 11:43Speaker 1: she does not agree with Charlie Starren's comments that Kim
- 11:46Speaker 1: Kardashian has the power to get way more off the
- 11:49Speaker 1: ground in Hollywood than Meryl Street. That's a big Meryll
- 11:53Speaker 1: is the biggest. First, comparing yourself to Meryl Streep, Yes, yes,
- 11:56Speaker 1: let's be honest. I mean comparing Meryl Streep to Eldre
- 12:01Speaker 1: you know. So this is what would be said about
- 12:04Speaker 1: Charlie Stalon's comments to the Hollywood Reporter, which Holly would
- 12:08Speaker 1: Reporter getting a lot of press over the last week.
- 12:11Speaker 1: I don't think it's true Kim Kardashion can't get a
- 12:14Speaker 1: movie green light or would have or it would have happened.
- 12:18Speaker 1: So she can't do that. She can get television shows
- 12:21Speaker 1: made maybe, but that's about it. And then, of course,
- 12:23Speaker 1: what would be directly address Charlie's comments by asserting that
- 12:27Speaker 1: their own can have more pull in the industry than
- 12:31Speaker 1: I've got seeing about it herself, of course, that you
- 12:34Speaker 1: get stuff done faster. Until took me eleven years ago.
- 12:39Speaker 1: I'd never minimized Kim Kardashion. But Warner Brothers is not
- 12:42Speaker 1: going to say yes to a movie because she wants
- 12:44Speaker 1: to do it. I personally, I think maybe we might
- 12:48Speaker 1: not be there with Kim Kardashian making movies or getting
- 12:51Speaker 1: movies green light. I think within the next ten years
- 12:54Speaker 1: if Kim really wants to do something. She has the power,
- 12:58Speaker 1: she has the resources. I think she can. It's a
- 13:00Speaker 1: really interesting because this cloud thing comes up a lot,
- 13:02Speaker 1: particularly in Hollywood and the entertainment business. Can you get
- 13:06Speaker 1: anything done? Andy Cohen is a huge star on Bravo,
- 13:09Speaker 1: but Andy hasn't been successful off that channel, and so
- 13:12Speaker 1: what they want ultimately is for you to sell tickets
- 13:15Speaker 1: or bring in viewers. And if you can do that,
- 13:18Speaker 1: you can get shows made. It's interesting that whooping now
- 13:21Speaker 1: maybe because of the view, or maybe she's doing the view.
- 13:23Speaker 1: Because of this WHOOPI is no longer considered a movie star.
- 13:26Speaker 1: She said it to Charlie's. She's like, you've got more
- 13:28Speaker 1: pull than me. It took me eleven years to get
- 13:31Speaker 1: my movie made. Kin Kardashian is fascinating because the power
- 13:36Speaker 1: she has over fashion is extraordinary. The power she has
- 13:39Speaker 1: over TV is extraordinary. Could she break into movies? I
- 13:43Speaker 1: think you're right, Garrett. I think in the next few years,
- 13:45Speaker 1: with a three hundred million followers, maybe Kim could be
- 13:50Speaker 1: a producer and start breaking into that. You can't underestimate
- 13:53Speaker 1: the power of the Kardashians. Hey quickly before we get
- 13:56Speaker 1: a break I love this story because Drew Barrymore is
- 13:59Speaker 1: explaining while she doesn't buy her daughter's Christmas presents. So
- 14:03Speaker 1: she said that she's not a strict mom or a
- 14:05Speaker 1: cold mom, but she doesn't buy Christmas presents and instead
- 14:10Speaker 1: she takes them on a trip every Christmas. She has
- 14:13Speaker 1: Olive who is ten, and Frankie, who is eight. She said,
- 14:16Speaker 1: I don't get them presents, which I think at their
- 14:18Speaker 1: age they don't love. But I say, I think you'll
- 14:21Speaker 1: remember the places and the photos and the experiences more
- 14:24Speaker 1: than you will remember a present. She concludes by saying,
- 14:27Speaker 1: and I love this in life, a memory is a
- 14:30Speaker 1: far better gift than a dollhouse or something like that. Adorable.
- 14:36Speaker 1: We're going to take a quick break and we will
- 14:37Speaker 1: be right back. Welcome back to the Naughty but Night Show.
- 14:42Speaker 1: I'm rob shooting with that de friend, Garrett Vogel. Hey, Garrett,
- 14:44Speaker 1: let's get to the polls that thank you very much. So.
- 14:47Speaker 1: Last how we talked about Leah Remini, who had kind
- 14:49Speaker 1: of a terse tribute to Kirsty Alley. It was not
- 14:53Speaker 1: the kindest thing to say, but she tried to find it. Obviously,
- 14:56Speaker 1: these two have huge differences with scientology. Was this good
- 15:00Speaker 1: timing or bad timing? Let's have a look. So Kirstie
- 15:04Speaker 1: had just passed away, Let's have a look, Oh said
- 15:08Speaker 1: bad timing. I don't think you disagree with what Leah said,
- 15:12Speaker 1: but the timing was certainly a little harsh. Don't forget
- 15:15Speaker 1: to vote on today's poll. Go to Twitter page, at
- 15:18Speaker 1: naughty Facebook page and already but sure has a chair
- 15:22Speaker 1: back tomorrow to hear your results are. Now it's time
- 15:26Speaker 1: for our nicest of the day. Controversial, yes, so very
- 15:31Speaker 1: much so. So remember it feels like this was a
- 15:34Speaker 1: month ago. It was. It was last week for God's sake.
- 15:36Speaker 1: So g m A three viewerships spike the eleven percent
- 15:39Speaker 1: during the Amy Robots their controversy, and pretty much everybody
- 15:44Speaker 1: wanted to see I think I think we all tuned
- 15:47Speaker 1: in to see would they be on tea? And sure enough,
- 15:50Speaker 1: there they are sitting sitting in their chairs right next
- 15:52Speaker 1: to each other. When that awkward you know, that grin
- 15:56Speaker 1: on their face like you all know when we did.
- 15:59Speaker 1: But but again then once once the show was averaging
- 16:02Speaker 1: about one point three million total viewers, but once the
- 16:05Speaker 1: news broke, we jumped up to one point eight people.
- 16:08Speaker 1: People that tuned into g M A three And then
- 16:10Speaker 1: of course ABC chewed on it just for a day
- 16:14Speaker 1: and then they're like, maybe there's not a good and
- 16:16Speaker 1: then they pulled them off the air, and of course
- 16:18Speaker 1: ratings went back down to the normal self. But kind
- 16:22Speaker 1: of interesting though, it's like, why not lean into it?
- 16:25Speaker 1: Do anybody Today? There's a new report that David Muller
- 16:28Speaker 1: who does the nightly news on on ABC, and there's
- 16:31Speaker 1: a big star of the network. He's furious with all this.
- 16:33Speaker 1: He's very private about his life. Robin Roberts is very
- 16:36Speaker 1: private about her life, and so they just don't find
- 16:39Speaker 1: this very attractive. Let's remember too, that Gayle King who's
- 16:43Speaker 1: on the competing show. She just called the whole situation
- 16:46Speaker 1: MESSI a little detail. So the person who allegedly had
- 16:50Speaker 1: an affair with t J at Good Morning America has
- 16:56Speaker 1: left the show. And guess who she works for now,
- 16:59Speaker 1: Gail Ky. She's working for Gail who says the whole
