- 1:10Dayna Roselli: Welcome to Vegas Revealed, episode 241 in a very steamy, hot Las Vegas.
- 1:18Dayna Roselli: Yes, still.
- 1:19Dayna Roselli: I know sometimes we kick off with the weather, Sean, but it has to be talked about.
- 1:24Dayna Roselli: We are breaking records daily.
- 1:26Sean McAllister: I mean, I thought that we were heading straight into fall weather, like low 90s, maybe into the 80s.
- 1:34Sean McAllister: But no, we are sticking with this triple-digit weather, and it's just been I'm ready for a cool down.
- 1:40Sean McAllister: I know it's been a long summer.
- 1:42Dayna Roselli: I think a lot of people are really like, okay, this is enough.
- 1:45Dayna Roselli: I mean, listen, I we've talked about this before.
- 1:47Dayna Roselli: Love the 90s.
- 1:48Dayna Roselli: I like a little bit of heat, but a 92 feels really good after a summer well above 100.
- 1:56Sean McAllister: That is true.
- 1:57Sean McAllister: That is very true.
- 1:58Dayna Roselli: And it's still pool weather and it's still fine, you know, it's beautiful outside, and the nights are still warm, but not too warm.
- 2:05Sean McAllister: Well, and one thing that it does not feel like is football weather.
- 2:09Sean McAllister: So true.
- 2:09Sean McAllister: We went out to the, you know, we talked here on the podcast, we went out to the tailgate over at uh Allegiance Stadium before the Raiders game, and that was that was hot.
- 2:20Sean McAllister: Like you, you just want it to be a little cooler when you're going to a football game and to tailgate and all that.
- 2:26Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 2:26Dayna Roselli: And they had another home game and another tailgate, and everyone's out there at a hundred degrees.
- 2:30Dayna Roselli: So, hey, what I'll I guess viva Las Vegas.
- 2:33Dayna Roselli: I have a friend visiting from Louisville, Kentucky this week, and he said, you know what, I like it because it's been chilly in Louisville, and already it was like a nice little, oh, I'm someplace warm, I can go to the pool.
- 2:42Dayna Roselli: So I mean, maybe our visitors like it.
- 2:44Sean McAllister: Well, hey, you know what?
- 2:46Sean McAllister: If you're thinking of visiting and uh you live maybe somewhere where it is cooling down, we have the temperatures to make you feel like summer just keeps right on going.
- 2:55Dayna Roselli: I know it's gonna be interesting to see if like the heat as in like the 90s, once it like sticks around all through, like through Thanksgiving and all that.
- 3:03Sean McAllister: Or if it's just like a week and then it gets cold.
- 3:06Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 3:06Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 3:07Dayna Roselli: I feel like we don't know what it's like to have cold weather.
- 3:11Dayna Roselli: It's been forever.
- 3:12Dayna Roselli: Um, and then I'll probably be over that.
- 3:14Dayna Roselli: I'll like it for like a day or two and then I'll start complaining.
- 3:17Dayna Roselli: So take note.
- 3:18Dayna Roselli: Um, listen, the Raiders did have a home game and they won, which was exciting.
- 3:22Dayna Roselli: Um, we beat the Cleveland Browns.
- 3:24Dayna Roselli: And then UNLV, our college football team that plays at Allegiant Stadium, has had a lot of drama lately.
- 3:32Dayna Roselli: But we won again.
- 3:34Dayna Roselli: I say we because we live here and we're part of UNLV.
- 3:37Dayna Roselli: Um, and it's great.
- 3:38Dayna Roselli: We're 4-0.
- 3:40Sean McAllister: We are.
- 3:40Sean McAllister: I mean, this is an exciting time for the UNLV football program, despite all the other stuff going on with the quarterback, he left.
- 3:56Sean McAllister: Kept their their you know, minds focused on the game and what they're out there on the field to do.
- 4:04Sean McAllister: And they made magic happen once again.
- 4:06Sean McAllister: And we're hoping that they continue with that magic when they play Syracuse from you know, back in our hometown neck of the woods, back in western New York.
- 4:16Sean McAllister: Uh, Syracuse is playing out here at Allegiance Stadium on October 4th.
- 4:20Sean McAllister: So depending on when you're listening to this episode, it may have already passed, but we're we're heading over there to that UNLV Syracuse game and hoping for another win.
- 4:30Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 4:31Dayna Roselli: And it's a Friday night game.
- 4:32Dayna Roselli: It's at 6 p.m., but usually they play on Saturday, so that's exciting.
- 4:35Dayna Roselli: I think it's gonna be uh live on Fox, one of the Fox streaming stations.
- 4:40Dayna Roselli: So um, and it's the first time they've ever played Syracuse, apparently, so that's exciting as well.
- 4:45Dayna Roselli: I th Syracuse had a good start to the season too, but they did lose one, I think.
- 4:49Dayna Roselli: So, um, and we're ranked for the first time in a long, long time, right?
- 4:53Sean McAllister: Yeah, we're in the the rankings, the top 25.
- 4:56Sean McAllister: So well done.
- 4:58Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 4:58Sean McAllister: To the the coaching staff, the players, everyone involved over there uh with the athletic program.
- 5:04Dayna Roselli: Uh I'm a little sluggish today because we went to dinner at Lavo last night to check out their refresh.
- 5:10Dayna Roselli: And I must say they brought out a lot of different alcohol pairings.
- 5:15Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 5:15Dayna Roselli: I'm not a huge drinker.
- 5:17Dayna Roselli: I have like one, I have like I have my things.
- 5:19Dayna Roselli: I either have an espresso martini, a vodka soda, a vodka diet coke, or a dirty martini.
- 5:25Dayna Roselli: I really don't venture off of that.
- 5:26Sean McAllister: And none of those were served last night.
- 5:29Sean McAllister: You were far off of your regular list.
- 5:33Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 5:33Dayna Roselli: And it was like, gosh, we had tons of water in between and we ate food.
- 5:36Dayna Roselli: So it was like, I feel all right.
- 5:37Dayna Roselli: Like it's not like I'm hungover, but I feel sluggish because it was so many different kinds of drinks.
- 5:43Dayna Roselli: But I'm not usually a cocktail person, but I must say, everything that they brought out at Lavo, I really enjoyed because they weren't super sweet drinks.
- 5:53Sean McAllister: Right.
- 5:53Dayna Roselli: That lemon one at the end was delicious.
- 5:55Sean McAllister: Oh my gosh.
- 5:56Sean McAllister: So this is a a dessert cocktail.
- 5:59Sean McAllister: Uh, and they do this table side preparation where they come and mix it up in this, they wheel the cart over, mix all the ingredients in this big bowl, they whisk it because there's foam on top of it.
- 6:10Sean McAllister: But there's like this chunk of lemon sorbet in the glass, and then the drink ingredients are poured on top of it with the frothy foam on top.
- 6:21Sean McAllister: I like a good foam.
- 6:22Sean McAllister: It really was.
- 6:23Sean McAllister: That was good.
- 6:23Sean McAllister: It just tasted so fresh and bright.
- 6:26Sean McAllister: Right.
- 6:26Sean McAllister: Like it was a good way to cleanse your palate after a big meal.
- 6:29Dayna Roselli: So true.
- 6:30Dayna Roselli: Because usually I think when I think of dessert kind of drinks, you think of sugary or, you know, so this was refreshing.
- 6:39Dayna Roselli: Felt like it was a good way to end the meal.
- 6:41Dayna Roselli: It was.
- 6:42Dayna Roselli: If you go there, get that.
- 6:43Dayna Roselli: Uh Lavo's at Palazzo, by the way, and they closed for a little bit of a refresh.
- 6:48Dayna Roselli: So that's why we went over to check out, you know, what it looked like and try some of their new um menu, like a couple new things they've added to the menu, a new elevated menu.
- 6:57Dayna Roselli: Um, but the look inside, you know, it's a darker restaurant.
- 7:01Dayna Roselli: So it wasn't like when you walk in that it really, to me anyway, stuck out as like this is a whole new place.
- 7:07Dayna Roselli: Um, but they've kind of changed the look uh into a new design, kind of reminiscent of like the Italian countryside.
- 7:13Sean McAllister: Right.
- 7:14Dayna Roselli: And so I felt like you know, a lot of the fixtures and things like that represented that.
- 7:20Sean McAllister: Yeah, I think in the the bones of the restaurant stayed the same.
- 7:25Sean McAllister: It's it was basically a cosmetic glow-up that they that they did over there at Lavo.
- 7:30Sean McAllister: And it was, it was it's still a very inviting space.
- 7:33Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 7:34Sean McAllister: Um, and it is.
- 7:35Sean McAllister: It it seemed very Italian coastal.
- 7:38Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 7:39Dayna Roselli: And according to um some of the details they sent over, and I was like, oh yeah.
- 7:43Dayna Roselli: It had a lot of the you they talk about like the rich velvet with the botanical motif and the luxurious leather accents.
- 7:49Dayna Roselli: Um, and that's that's it, and hot that velvet drapery.
- 7:52Dayna Roselli: So um, it's a new look, but I wouldn't say, you know, if you're gonna go in there and not recognize it.
- 7:56Sean McAllister: Right.
- 7:57Sean McAllister: And so uh Lavo is back open now that the entire space has had a refresh.
- 8:03Sean McAllister: They're open for their uh dinner service, which they have we'll get into the food, but they have a great menu over there.
- 8:10Sean McAllister: And then their party brunch season kicks off on Saturday, October 19th, with uh an endless brunch every Sunday starting on October 20th.
- 8:22Sean McAllister: So Saturday and Sunday they'll be doing brunches.
- 8:24Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 8:24Dayna Roselli: And they're known for that party brunch that they do.
- 8:27Sean McAllister: Yeah, those things, those things get wild.
- 8:29Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I know.
- 8:29Dayna Roselli: I've actually never been.
- 8:31Sean McAllister: I I went to a couple of them.
- 8:32Dayna Roselli: I uh yeah, because I remember it was like for me, I I couldn't do anything on Sunday for so long because I had to get up at two in the morning on Monday.
- 8:40Sean McAllister: So um I think actually my Venmo picture is uh courtesy of uh Lavo brunch with the fluorescent glasses and that light stick thing.
- 8:50Dayna Roselli: Yep.
- 8:51Sean McAllister: It was it was a it was a time that was.
- 8:54Sean McAllister: Oh, yeah.
- 8:54Dayna Roselli: Did you get my Venmo?
- 8:55Dayna Roselli: I sent you a Venmo last night.
- 8:56Dayna Roselli: I did.
- 8:56Dayna Roselli: Okay, good.
- 8:57Sean McAllister: I got it.
- 8:57Sean McAllister: It went through.
- 8:58Sean McAllister: It did not go to the wrong Sean.
- 9:01Dayna Roselli: Um, but listen, yeah, Lavo um has changed it up.
- 9:04Dayna Roselli: Uh first of all, before we even get into the food, the menu, when we were walking out, we thought we have to remind people of this.
- 9:09Dayna Roselli: And that and we're talking about the patio.
- 9:11Dayna Roselli: I feel like nobody brings up the patio at Lavo, and I love it.
- 9:15Dayna Roselli: I don't know if a lot of people know it's there, but you can book a patio table or sit out on the patio, and it's stripside.
- 9:21Sean McAllister: It is, which is rare.
- 9:23Sean McAllister: A stripside patio is a very rare thing, and it's a great view right there.
- 9:29Sean McAllister: You know, you have uh as you're looking off to your right, you've got fashion show over there.
- 9:36Sean McAllister: If you look over to your left, you've got uh Treasure Island and that whole busy corner.
- 9:42Sean McAllister: So that's a it's a good spot.
- 9:44Dayna Roselli: And now that the north end of the strip is filled out a little bit, you know, it's more active and stuff like that.
- 9:48Dayna Roselli: So anyway, yeah, and I feel like there, like you said, there aren't a lot of stripside patios on the north end of the strip at all.
- 9:54Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 9:55Dayna Roselli: Besides maybe a couple at fashion show, but I don't even know if they sit at the edge.
- 9:58Dayna Roselli: So um, so anyway, so yeah, just a reminder you can dine al fresco there.
- 10:04Dayna Roselli: So keep that in mind.
- 10:04Dayna Roselli: If you want a patio dinner, you can do that at Lavo as well.
- 10:09Sean McAllister: And uh, we're not gonna go through absolutely every single thing that we had, but some of the highlights from last night, um, I absolutely loved the grilled octopus.
- 10:19Sean McAllister: I've been on kind of a grilled octopus kick lately.
- 10:21Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's good.
- 10:22Sean McAllister: Whenever I see it on the menu, I'm like, oh, let's get that.
- 10:25Sean McAllister: Um, also their beet salad was delicious, and their Caccio Pepe pizza is a must order.
- 10:33Dayna Roselli: The flavor was bursting.
- 10:35Dayna Roselli: It was so good.
- 10:36Dayna Roselli: That was really good with the escarol on top, the cracked black pepper, the uh pecorino crema, they call it.
- 10:45Dayna Roselli: I'm looking at the menu.
- 10:47Dayna Roselli: But whatever it was, it was delicious.
- 10:48Dayna Roselli: Cheesy.
- 10:49Dayna Roselli: Um, so that was really, really good.
- 10:51Dayna Roselli: I thought the pastas were were delicious.
- 10:53Dayna Roselli: Um and my favorite was the they still have the amazing meatball, and it's just so good.
- 11:00Dayna Roselli: Uh a must get if you go to Lavo.
- 11:02Dayna Roselli: You gotta get the meatball.
- 11:04Dayna Roselli: That is really good.
- 11:05Dayna Roselli: And then I loved the eggplant parmesan.
- 11:08Dayna Roselli: I'm very picky.
- 11:09Sean McAllister: It was delicious.
- 11:11Dayna Roselli: It was I had two servings, like two, well, because we all split stuff, but I said put another on my plate.
- 11:16Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 11:16Sean McAllister: Well, and just going back to the meatball for a second, if you sit down and order a meatball, you can cut it four ways.
- 11:22Sean McAllister: And you know, four people would have a pretty decent sized portion of that meatball.
- 11:28Sean McAllister: It's a big, it's a big serving, right?
- 11:31Dayna Roselli: It is a big serving, it's huge.
- 11:33Dayna Roselli: Definitely enough.
- 11:34Sean McAllister: So just know that going in, if you're gonna order it, it's not like small meatballs, it is a giant meatball.
- 11:40Dayna Roselli: Giant meatball, right?
- 11:41Dayna Roselli: How about those fingerling potatoes?
- 11:43Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh, it had this like parmesan sauce at the bottom, and then you it you drag it in a little.
- 11:51Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh, it was so good.
- 11:53Sean McAllister: It really was.
- 11:54Sean McAllister: The lobster fra Diablo was great.
- 11:56Sean McAllister: They had these big fat, uh I don't even know what kind of noodles they are.
- 12:01Dayna Roselli: It's like a tubed pasta.
- 12:02Sean McAllister: Yeah, but like spiral.
- 12:04Sean McAllister: Um, and it just soaked up all that sauce, and you know, you had the scallops, calamari, shrimp, and that was all with that spiral linguini.
- 12:14Sean McAllister: So it was great.
- 12:15Sean McAllister: And the presentation, the lobster head comes right out on it.
- 12:18Sean McAllister: It looked pretty.
- 12:20Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and it's uh a little spicy, so keep that in mind.
- 12:22Dayna Roselli: If you like spicy, they put some crushed chili on it and had a little kick.
- 12:27Dayna Roselli: Um, I really loved the lemon olive oil cake.
- 12:30Dayna Roselli: I thought that was really well done and fresh as well with the cream.
- 12:34Dayna Roselli: And um, you know, they had their classic what is it, 12 layer cake?
- 12:39Sean McAllister: Oh my god, no, butter chocolate.
- 12:41Sean McAllister: Was it a 24?
- 12:42Dayna Roselli: Or maybe 24.
- 12:43Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 12:44Dayna Roselli: But they brought that out as an extra.
- 12:45Dayna Roselli: And I was like, wow.
- 12:46Sean McAllister: A lot of layers chocolate peanut butter cake and man alive.
- 12:50Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 12:50Sean McAllister: I had a little bite, and it was that was a very good chocolate peanut butter cake.
- 12:58Sean McAllister: It really was.
- 12:59Dayna Roselli: So um, great dinner over there at Lavo.
- 13:01Dayna Roselli: Go check it out.
- 13:02Dayna Roselli: It's back open after a little bit of a refresh.
- 13:05Dayna Roselli: Um, I just feel like it's been here a long time and it's it's one of those standards.
- 13:09Dayna Roselli: You gotta go.
- 13:10Sean McAllister: You do.
- 13:11Sean McAllister: Hey, uh, something that we wanted to bring you up to date on is the Tropicana implosion.
- 13:16Sean McAllister: It is right around the corner.
- 13:18Sean McAllister: Uh, and we're getting more details about what's gonna be going on, how things are gonna work out there.
- 13:25Sean McAllister: Um, first things first, it it seems as though the public is being encouraged to kind of stay home.
- 13:32Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 13:32Sean McAllister: And if you want to watch it live, flip on a local TV channel, or there are several live streams that are going to be popping up.
- 13:41Sean McAllister: As a matter of fact, we're planning on um trying if signals and all that stuff are on our side, we're gonna try and go live on our Vegas Revealed channels.
- 13:51Dayna Roselli: Yes, and um, especially our YouTube.
- 13:53Dayna Roselli: So if you're not a subscriber of our YouTube um and you want to get an alert when that happens, if we do go live, you know, we might do some different um segments, or we might just let it roll and you'll get the alert of when that's kicking up.
- 14:06Dayna Roselli: And it's so we it's just so fun to see live.
- 14:09Dayna Roselli: Even if you're just watching it on TV or on a live stream, it's cool.
- 14:12Sean McAllister: It is.
- 14:13Sean McAllister: And even if you're not up, you know, at 2:30 in the morning Las Vegas time, or what is that, 5:30 in the morning on the East Coast.
- 14:22Sean McAllister: Um, that footage is likely going to be picked up and shown on the national morning shows as well.
- 14:30Dayna Roselli: And and we are going to a small gathering.
- 14:33Dayna Roselli: Um, so it's very limited, but of course, Vegas Reveal has your back.
- 14:38Dayna Roselli: We're we're always at the right place.
- 14:40Dayna Roselli: Um, and we are on the list, so we will be there.
- 14:43Dayna Roselli: Um, more details on that.
- 14:46Dayna Roselli: But I've never had an invite that said it starts at 12 30 a.m.
- 14:50Sean McAllister: I know.
- 14:52Dayna Roselli: So this is gonna be a first, a 12:30 a.m.
- 14:54Dayna Roselli: start, implosions at 2 30 in the morning here, Pacific time, and we'll see the drop come down.
- 15:00Dayna Roselli: And, you know, in the future, uh as of now, there's a baseball stadium planned for that site.
- 15:07Dayna Roselli: Again, every single box isn't checked on that, but that's kind of the plan.
- 15:12Sean McAllister: That is the plan.
- 15:13Sean McAllister: Uh, a firework show, a drone show that's all set to be part of the festivities as well.
- 15:17Sean McAllister: So we'll have uh more on that for you.
- 15:21Sean McAllister: Let's see, next week, yeah.
- 15:23Sean McAllister: Here on the audio podcast for sure.
- 15:25Dayna Roselli: Moving right along, gosh.
- 15:26Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 15:27Dayna Roselli: Well, listen, Venetian getting a roller skating residency.
- 15:30Dayna Roselli: This is really cool.
- 15:32Dayna Roselli: I don't know if you've ever heard of Flippers World.
- 15:34Dayna Roselli: It's a brand.
- 15:35Dayna Roselli: And we are getting Flippers Roller Boogie Palace, um, at least for the winter season.
- 15:41Dayna Roselli: Basically, they're covering the pools at Tau Beach, and it's gonna be a roller skating rink.
- 15:46Dayna Roselli: Super cool, starting in November and going through the beginning of 2025.
- 15:51Dayna Roselli: I'm kind of excited about this.
- 15:53Dayna Roselli: If you want more information, you can go to flipperslosvegas.com and see what we're talking about.
- 15:57Dayna Roselli: But this sounds fun, huh?
- 15:59Sean McAllister: Yeah, I mean, this is gonna be the roller skating rink itself, it's gonna be over 3,000 square feet.
- 16:04Sean McAllister: And like you said, it's covering both of the there's two swimming pools out there as part of Tao Beach.
- 16:10Sean McAllister: They're covering both of those.
- 16:12Sean McAllister: So it looks like it's gonna be a really kind of vibrant neon kind of atmosphere.
- 16:19Sean McAllister: And the music, I mean, Usher's involved in this too.
- 16:22Sean McAllister: He's one of the guys behind the, yeah, one of the partners behind flippers.
- 16:26Sean McAllister: And uh so you know that the music is gonna be jamming too.
- 16:30Dayna Roselli: Oh, it's gonna be fun.
- 16:32Dayna Roselli: And I love roller skating.
- 16:33Dayna Roselli: You know, it's so funny because we always have ice skating on the strip.
- 16:37Dayna Roselli: And I always thought, I don't know, I'm just not a great ice skater.
- 16:40Dayna Roselli: Like when I was younger, I would ice skate on ponds and stuff.
- 16:42Dayna Roselli: That was big where we could.
- 16:43Sean McAllister: Oh, yeah, and on the canal.
- 16:44Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 16:44Dayna Roselli: And I thought I was really good.
- 16:46Dayna Roselli: Then in college, I went ice skating a couple times into like an indoor rink, and I like fell flat on my face.
- 16:50Dayna Roselli: I'm like, okay, this isn't my thing.
- 16:52Sean McAllister: You you need the bumpy imperfections, yes, ice something to slow you down.
- 16:57Dayna Roselli: It was a disaster.
- 16:58Dayna Roselli: Um, but roller skating now, that's my thing.
- 17:02Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 17:02Dayna Roselli: We used to roller skate at school all the time.
- 17:04Sean McAllister: That was there would always be roller skating parties, yeah.
- 17:07Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh, I love that put my comb in my back pocket and the whole nine.
- 17:10Sean McAllister: Well, get that comb ready because you can either uh bring your own skates or rent them there.
- 17:16Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 17:17Sean McAllister: They'll have that available for you.
- 17:19Dayna Roselli: And it's taking place Thursday through Sunday from noon to 8 p.m.
- 17:23Dayna Roselli: Um, guests, like Sean said, can bring their own skates or rent right there.
- 17:27Dayna Roselli: They are gonna do some 21 and over programming, so stay tuned for that as well.
- 17:32Sean McAllister: But um It's all ages, though.
- 17:34Sean McAllister: Overall, yeah, all ages.
- 17:35Sean McAllister: So uh a good family activity there, especially with with daytime hours starting at noon.
- 17:41Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 17:42Dayna Roselli: And since, you know, it is the only roller skating venue on the strip, you might want to get tickets ahead of time.
- 17:47Dayna Roselli: So go to that website, flipperslosvegas.com.
- 17:50Dayna Roselli: They do recommend you reserving your spot, if especially if you're coming into town, you know you want to do it.
- 17:55Sean McAllister: Yeah, and we did talk with an executive from the Tau group last night who said that this is already selling.
- 18:00Sean McAllister: Tickets are already going.
- 18:01Sean McAllister: So there's a lot of interest already.
- 18:03Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 18:03Sean McAllister: So if this is of interest to you, it would definitely benefit you to get your tickets now.
- 18:08Dayna Roselli: Gosh, Vegas, always thinking out the box outside the box, you know?
- 18:11Dayna Roselli: I like it.
- 18:12Dayna Roselli: I do too.
- 18:13Sean McAllister: This is different.
- 18:13Sean McAllister: It's something we haven't really seen before on the strip.
- 18:16Sean McAllister: And it's outdoors.
- 18:18Sean McAllister: Let's give it a go.
- 18:19Sean McAllister: See how, see what happens.
- 18:20Sean McAllister: I mean, even when it's chilly here and cold, what like uh in the day, it's I don't very often under 60 degrees.
- 18:29Sean McAllister: Well, and if you're in the sun, the sun is still warm.
- 18:31Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 18:32Sean McAllister: Regardless of the the air temperature.
- 18:34Sean McAllister: So it's deceiving.
- 18:35Sean McAllister: It makes it feel a little warmer than it actually is.
- 18:38Sean McAllister: Right.
- 18:38Sean McAllister: So it's gonna be perfect.
- 18:40Dayna Roselli: Hey, another attraction on the strip is fly over Las Vegas.
- 18:43Dayna Roselli: We've talked about this before.
- 18:45Sean McAllister: Yeah, it's uh one of those kind of a flight simulator ride.
- 18:49Sean McAllister: You sit down, strap yourself into the chairs, and then you know, the contraption that the chairs are attached to kind of lifts up and it feels like you're flying around and you have that big kind of wraparound IMAX movie screen in front of you, and your movements go along with the movie.
- 19:06Sean McAllister: It's fun.
- 19:07Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 19:07Dayna Roselli: Now you and I have done the Wild Wild West one and the Iceland uh one, and those were more about like the picturesque nature, nature, land, and that was cool.
- 19:17Dayna Roselli: Um, and then they have one over the Canadian Rockies, which we haven't done, but now they have one over Chicago and through Chicago, and this is unique because they've never really done like a city flyover, yeah.
- 19:31Sean McAllister: I mean, from the wide open spaces of you know the Canadian Rockies and Iceland and all that to a city atmosphere, it is completely different.
- 19:43Sean McAllister: And what's new about uh this film that they're showing, this Believe Chicago is what it's called, uh, they use drones.
- 19:51Sean McAllister: So they were able to have some, you know, new movements incorporated.
- 19:56Sean McAllister: They're able to get into some really tight spaces.
- 19:59Sean McAllister: When you're flying down the city streets of Chicago, you actually see people in the windows of the buildings as you're going by.
- 20:07Dayna Roselli: It was insane.
- 20:09Dayna Roselli: I mean, I keep thinking about it how I want to do it again.
- 20:12Sean McAllister: It really was fun.
- 20:13Dayna Roselli: It really was fun.
- 20:14Dayna Roselli: I am honestly saying, if you come to Vegas, you've got to do this.
- 20:18Dayna Roselli: It is so cool.
- 20:20Sean McAllister: I yeah, there was like uh, what was it, like the ballet that was doing like a rehearsal or ay had a dance studio with these glass windows on the corner of a building, and you fly by and the whole dance class is going on.
- 20:32Dayna Roselli: We went through a theater, yeah, through the front door, through the it looked like a historic theater there in Chicago.
- 20:38Sean McAllister: Yeah, the Chicago theater.
- 20:39Dayna Roselli: Oh my god, that was it incredible.
- 20:41Dayna Roselli: Um, you know, we went over the river when they turn it green during St.
- 20:45Dayna Roselli: Patrick's Day.
- 20:46Sean McAllister: Uh-huh.
- 20:46Sean McAllister: The drawbridges were going up.
- 20:48Dayna Roselli: We went under the drawbridge.
- 20:49Dayna Roselli: I mean, yeah, it was so cool.
- 20:51Dayna Roselli: Um, there was some uh filming taking place.
- 20:53Dayna Roselli: It looked like a television show below.
- 20:55Sean McAllister: Right.
- 20:55Dayna Roselli: You know, in some of the city streets um they were filming.
- 20:59Dayna Roselli: It and then you also get the smells too.
- 21:01Dayna Roselli: And we won't tell you what they are because we've been asked before, and the girl was like, Oh, just you know, you'll see.
- 21:07Dayna Roselli: And it really added to it.
- 21:09Sean McAllister: Yeah, there's smells, there's mist, there's obviously the movement, your your eyes, your sight are is being engaged.
- 21:17Sean McAllister: So really it is an experience that that captivates all of your senses while you're doing it.
- 21:25Sean McAllister: And I I feel like a lot of people uh still don't know that flyover is there on the Las Vegas strip, right next door to Hard Rock Cafe.
- 21:35Dayna Roselli: Well, that and I also think if they see it, they think you're flying over Las Vegas.
- 21:39Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 21:39Dayna Roselli: Because it's called flyover Las Vegas.
- 21:41Dayna Roselli: But when you go in, it's flyover experiences.
- 21:45Dayna Roselli: This is the flyover Las Vegas, but you're not doing a flyover Las Vegas.
- 21:49Dayna Roselli: Now, the Wild Wild West one does have Las Vegas included in it because it's the western states.
- 21:55Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 21:56Dayna Roselli: Um, but it yeah, I think that can confuse people.
- 21:59Dayna Roselli: So we're Here to let you know um it's an experience.
- 22:02Dayna Roselli: There's a bar in there.
- 22:03Sean McAllister: Well, I was gonna say if you're out even if uh you don't think that you're gonna go on one of the rides, uh if you're out walking the strip and you want to stop at a nice bar, flyover is the place.
- 22:15Sean McAllister: It is probably one of the uh best bar setups that you can just pop into.
- 22:22Sean McAllister: They have unique uh a unique drink menu.
- 22:26Sean McAllister: Uh they'll put smoke bubbles on top of your drinks.
- 22:30Sean McAllister: Yeah, it's a great space.
- 22:32Dayna Roselli: Yeah, some new unique cocktails, that's for sure.
- 22:34Sean McAllister: And then after a cocktail, you might decide, hey, let's go hop on the ride.
- 22:37Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 22:38Dayna Roselli: They do have some local specials for locals, and they do have um like some packages.
- 22:43Dayna Roselli: Like if you want to go on two or three of the experiences, you can buy like a bundle.
- 22:47Dayna Roselli: So that's worth it.
- 22:48Dayna Roselli: Yeah, go check that out because you'll want to do another one after you're done.
- 22:51Dayna Roselli: Um anyway, we can't recommend it enough.
- 22:54Dayna Roselli: Um, we really enjoy.
- 22:55Dayna Roselli: I really, really enjoyed this Chicago ride.
- 22:58Sean McAllister: And by the way, uh something else, they have a gift shop inside of Flyover that has really good Las Vegas souvenirs.
- 23:08Sean McAllister: Merch, yep.
- 23:09Sean McAllister: And it's different from what you'll find at any other souvenir shop in Las Vegas, and it's like good quality stuff.
- 23:17Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's like a little more modern, I would say, a little more current, uh, not as cheesy, like some really cool kind of logos.
- 23:24Dayna Roselli: And um, yeah.
- 23:25Dayna Roselli: So if you're looking for something like that, that you're right.
- 23:28Dayna Roselli: That gift shop, I would say the gift shop is definitely a stop in.
- 23:32Sean McAllister: Oh, without a doubt.
- 23:33Sean McAllister: Yeah, yeah.
- 23:35Sean McAllister: Uh, so visit Flyover, uh, believe Chicago is the newest film that they're showing over at that attraction.
- 23:42Sean McAllister: And you can check out their website for uh the Show Times.
- 23:46Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and it's in our TV show this week.
- 23:48Dayna Roselli: So um go to our YouTube channel and we will have all the visuals there.
- 23:51Dayna Roselli: Sean and I actually go on the ride.
- 23:53Dayna Roselli: You can watch us go on the ride.
- 23:54Dayna Roselli: Um, we talk with someone over there at Flyover too.
- 23:57Dayna Roselli: So um, again, our YouTube is Vegas Revealed.
- 24:01Dayna Roselli: Subscribe, watch the shows there if you want some visuals.
- 24:04Sean McAllister: All right, from experiences to comedy, Nate Bargazzi is a really, really popular comic.
- 24:12Sean McAllister: He has a couple specials on Netflix.
- 24:15Sean McAllister: Um, I posted this announcement that he's coming back to uh Win Las Vegas with more shows in 2025.
- 24:23Sean McAllister: And I got a few DMs of people being like, oh my gosh, I'm so excited about this.
- 24:28Sean McAllister: Yeah, Nate Bargazzi is my favorite.
- 24:30Sean McAllister: So he's doing 10 uh additional shows over at Win Las Vegas uh in 2024.
- 24:39Sean McAllister: No, 2025.
- 24:40Sean McAllister: Yeah, that's next year.
- 24:42Sean McAllister: So that's when he's doing these additional shows.
- 24:44Sean McAllister: Um, this is all part of his uh engagement over there called the Las Vegas Residency.
- 24:50Dayna Roselli: Okay, nice and simple.
- 24:51Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 24:51Dayna Roselli: Yeah, he's doing a lot of shows.
- 24:53Dayna Roselli: He is January 29th through March 22nd, uh sprinkled throughout there.
- 24:58Dayna Roselli: Um, you can get tickets on Ticketmaster, and I love this.
- 25:02Dayna Roselli: It kind of seems like more of like a well, it is the Las Vegas a residency situation where he's continuing to do shows, kind of like Sebastian.
- 25:10Sean McAllister: Yes, and I think what people like about his comedy too is that it's on the cleaner side and you know, he has some it's a more of a family-friendly kind of comedy, right?
- 25:21Sean McAllister: But it's still great comedy.
- 25:23Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 25:24Sean McAllister: You know, it's not some it's not geared toward kids, obviously.
- 25:26Dayna Roselli: No, no.
- 25:27Sean McAllister: But it's not he's not like a vulgar comedy.
- 25:30Dayna Roselli: Because sometimes the vulgar comedy can just get old.
- 25:32Dayna Roselli: It's like, all right, you know.
- 25:34Sean McAllister: It can be a crutch if it's used, you know, effectively, that's fine.
- 25:41Sean McAllister: But when it's thrown in just for the sake of, you know, throwing in an F-bomb.
- 25:46Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 25:48Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 25:49Dayna Roselli: Um, hey, David Spade and Nikki Glazer are coming back to Venetian too.
- 25:52Dayna Roselli: We'll hit that another podcast.
- 25:53Dayna Roselli: I don't have the details on it, but um, glad to see they're returning.
- 25:56Dayna Roselli: Nikki is fabulous, David's wonderful.
- 25:58Dayna Roselli: I saw the show over there at the Venetian in the past.
- 26:00Dayna Roselli: Glad to see they're coming back.
- 26:02Dayna Roselli: So look that up if you want to go see them.
- 26:04Sean McAllister: Uh, over at Sphere, we told you about this um engagement, uh, an EDM engagement, actually, over there over New Year's Eve weekend from Enema.
- 26:15Sean McAllister: Well, those shows the first couple shows were announced, and then another couple shows were added.
- 26:21Dayna Roselli: Then another couple shows were announced.
- 26:22Sean McAllister: Then another and now even more shows.
- 26:24Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 26:24Dayna Roselli: So it was kind of like um, you know, it starts right at the end of December.
- 26:28Dayna Roselli: Well, because it was gonna just be like the day before New Year's Eve and then New Year's Eve, and then in New Year's Day, and then then they added shows before that.
- 26:35Dayna Roselli: I think it's like December 27th, and and then now so now they've added uh away from that weekend completely, and they they added two shows uh January 10th and 11th.
- 26:44Sean McAllister: And they're calling this now a residency.
- 26:46Dayna Roselli: Yeah, makes sense.
- 26:47Dayna Roselli: There's so many shows, you that's what it is, right?
- 26:49Sean McAllister: Which you know what?
- 26:50Sean McAllister: It's exciting to see that there's uh, you know, this is the first EDM uh show concert, or whatever you want to call it, over at Sphere.
- 27:00Sean McAllister: It's a concert.
- 27:01Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 27:02Sean McAllister: Um and it's exciting to see how well it's selling.
- 27:06Sean McAllister: It really is.
- 27:07Dayna Roselli: And I think people realize that if you love EDM, and if people don't know, because there's still some out there that don't, it's electric dance music.
- 27:14Dayna Roselli: Um people who love that, you're gonna get the sphere experience.
- 27:18Dayna Roselli: So it's really gonna be like heightened and visual and immersive.
- 27:23Dayna Roselli: And if you're in that world, it's almost like you have to be here for this.
- 27:27Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 27:28Dayna Roselli: So yeah, Anima, the end of Genesis is what it's called.
- 27:32Dayna Roselli: And yeah, it's the first of that kind.
- 27:34Dayna Roselli: We have a lot of firsts lately.
- 27:35Dayna Roselli: First roller skating residency.
- 27:37Dayna Roselli: Uh, we interviewed Wu Tang recently, uh, Wu Tang clan first hip hop residency.
- 27:42Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 27:43Dayna Roselli: This first EDM kind of residency at the sphere.
- 27:46Dayna Roselli: Um, so the first just keep coming here in Las Vegas.
- 27:50Sean McAllister: Yeah, it's it's exciting to see some of these evolutions in uh Las Vegas entertainment going on right in front of our eyes here.
- 27:58Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 27:58Dayna Roselli: Hey, and you know what else um is just super popular right now is pickleball.
- 28:04Sean McAllister: Man, they just built in the park right up the street over at Sunset Park.
- 28:07Sean McAllister: Yeah, they just put in a whole new thing of pickleball courts over there.
- 28:11Dayna Roselli: Oh my God, that's so cool.
- 28:12Dayna Roselli: Yeah, because it's so popular, right?
- 28:14Dayna Roselli: They even made in my building the tennis courts, one of them or two of them is pickleball now.
- 28:18Dayna Roselli: I don't know what the difference is because I haven't tried it yet.
- 28:22Dayna Roselli: I mean, I've gone down there and, you know, tossed the ball around for tennis and stuff.
- 28:26Dayna Roselli: But yeah, it seems like there's so much popularity that they're adding pickleball courts all over.
- 28:32Dayna Roselli: Well, pickleball slam three is coming here to Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay, and this is gonna be in the arena on February 16th.
- 28:42Dayna Roselli: So that's 2025, obviously.
- 28:44Dayna Roselli: Um, and I guess it's gonna feature some uh tennis legends going head to head in doubles action.
- 28:50Dayna Roselli: I love this.
- 28:51Sean McAllister: This is really fun.
- 28:52Sean McAllister: Uh, we're going to see Andre Agassiz and Steffi Graf teaming up to face off against Andy Roddick and Eugenie Bouchard.
- 29:00Sean McAllister: And the prize is a million bucks.
- 29:03Dayna Roselli: I mean, this is gonna be a ticket to get.
- 29:05Sean McAllister: This is gonna be competitive.
- 29:07Sean McAllister: I mean, as competitive as pickleball can be, this is gonna be it with those four out there.
- 29:12Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh.
- 29:13Dayna Roselli: I love it.
- 29:13Dayna Roselli: Pickleball slam three also is gonna be broadcast live on ESPN.
- 29:18Dayna Roselli: So, yeah, this is I I love this.
- 29:20Dayna Roselli: This is cool and I love it.
- 29:21Dayna Roselli: And if people don't know, uh Andre and Steffi live here in Las Vegas.
- 29:25Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so that adds a little bit of the local touch to it, too.
- 29:28Dayna Roselli: How cool is this gonna be to watch?
- 29:29Dayna Roselli: We might need to go to this.
- 29:30Sean McAllister: Last time I went to something like this, it uh it well it wasn't pickleball, it was tennis, but they set up a tennis court out in front of Caesars Palace, and Elton John and Billie Jean King put on this uh it was a tennis tournament uh with a whole bunch of famous faces.
- 29:47Sean McAllister: Andre and Steffi were a part of that, but Elton John was out there playing.
- 29:51Sean McAllister: I was gonna say, did Elton play?
- 29:52Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 29:53Sean McAllister: Really?
- 29:53Sean McAllister: Yeah, they were all out there playing, and Andy Roddick was here for it.
- 29:57Sean McAllister: Um, it was that was a really cool thing to watch, and it was obviously like an exhibition type um tournament, but so fun to see these legends.
- 30:09Sean McAllister: They're legends, let's face it.
- 30:10Sean McAllister: Yeah, oh for sure.
- 30:12Sean McAllister: Out there on the court in front of you.
- 30:14Sean McAllister: Um, because if you didn't see them at the US Open in person or at Wimbledon, you know, now's your time to go see them out on the court.
- 30:21Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 30:22Dayna Roselli: This this sounds really, really fun.
- 30:24Dayna Roselli: Um, mandalaybay.com if you want more information.
- 30:28Dayna Roselli: Um, tickets are on sale now.
- 30:30Dayna Roselli: So if you want to get a ticket, I'd do it soon.
- 30:32Dayna Roselli: I think it's gonna sell.
- 30:33Dayna Roselli: That's probably gonna sell out.
- 30:35Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 30:35Sean McAllister: All right, let's do some tips.
- 30:42Dayna Roselli: All right, we got a few tips this week.
- 30:44Dayna Roselli: A couple things that you and I experienced and wanted people to know about.
- 30:47Dayna Roselli: I went to the Pepper Club, okay, and I've never been.
- 30:50Dayna Roselli: It's been open for a while, but it's over there at the English Hotel in downtown Las Vegas.
- 30:56Dayna Roselli: Todd English.
- 30:57Sean McAllister: Yep.
- 30:58Dayna Roselli: Very famous chef.
- 30:59Sean McAllister: Famous chef.
- 31:00Dayna Roselli: Um, he's had many restaurants here in Las Vegas, but he opened up this, you know, English hotel.
- 31:04Dayna Roselli: And of course, it has a fabulous bar and restaurant in it that I had never gone to.
- 31:08Dayna Roselli: And Sean, it's beautiful in there.
- 31:11Dayna Roselli: I met a friend there um just for like a weirdest, like kind of a drink and a snack and do a catch up.
- 31:17Dayna Roselli: Uh, five o'clock happened to be happy hour.
- 31:20Dayna Roselli: And the food there is it's elevated food.
- 31:23Dayna Roselli: It's not bar food in any way.
- 31:25Dayna Roselli: I had a delicious uh tiger roll sushi for$12, I think it was on the happy end.
- 31:31Dayna Roselli: Really?
- 31:32Dayna Roselli: A long row of them.
- 31:33Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it was really good deal.
- 31:35Dayna Roselli: Um, we also got, oh, we got something else, and I'm blanking.
- 31:39Dayna Roselli: Maybe it was like a tuna tartare or something.
- 31:41Dayna Roselli: Um, but anyway, um, loved it.
- 31:44Dayna Roselli: I had a espresso martini, it was delicious.
- 31:46Dayna Roselli: Uh, she had a drink, it would be great.
- 31:48Dayna Roselli: You know, it was, I just can't even explain, such a nice atmosphere that I had never experienced in that area before.
- 31:57Dayna Roselli: I loved it.
- 31:58Sean McAllister: And pepper club inside of English Hotel.
- 32:01Dayna Roselli: Sorry, yeah, it's called the Pepper Club.
- 32:03Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 32:03Dayna Roselli: And so they do have breakfast and lunch, uh, brunch, uh, dinner.
- 32:09Dayna Roselli: So, you know, it's 7 a.m.
- 32:11Dayna Roselli: to 3 p.m.
- 32:12Dayna Roselli: daily, they have this brunch.
- 32:14Dayna Roselli: So, and then they have the happy hour and they have dinner.
- 32:18Dayna Roselli: So, I mean, it's a full-on thing.
- 32:20Dayna Roselli: Um, really beautiful inside.
- 32:22Dayna Roselli: If you look it up online, you'll know what you'll see what I'm talking about.
- 32:25Dayna Roselli: It's thepepperclub.com if you want to check it out.
- 32:28Dayna Roselli: But I loved it.
- 32:29Sean McAllister: Very cool.
- 32:30Sean McAllister: I like that.
- 32:31Sean McAllister: I I love finding places or hearing about places downtown that are good spots to pop in.
- 32:38Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 32:38Dayna Roselli: It was a good, I think like if you had like a business pow wow or something too, or a date, it could be great.
- 32:43Sean McAllister: Cool, good date spot.
- 32:44Dayna Roselli: Yeah, good date spot.
- 32:45Dayna Roselli: If you don't want to venture down the strip, you want to go somewhere downtown.
- 32:48Dayna Roselli: And it's like a boutique hotel, it's just super cute.
- 32:51Dayna Roselli: Um, loved it, really.
- 32:52Dayna Roselli: And there was plenty of parking on the road, and then there was a little lot right next door.
- 32:56Dayna Roselli: So not bad at all.
- 32:57Dayna Roselli: Another tip for you I went to dinner at Giada.
- 32:59Dayna Roselli: I had a friend in town and met him over there.
- 33:02Dayna Roselli: Um, and when I went to book it on open table, I noticed this.
- 33:05Dayna Roselli: Um, you know, they have great windows at Giada.
- 33:08Sean McAllister: They kind of go up like a garage door when it's nice out.
- 33:11Dayna Roselli: Oh, does it?
- 33:11Dayna Roselli: I didn't even know that.
- 33:12Dayna Roselli: Oh, yeah, they open up.
- 33:13Dayna Roselli: Oh, okay.
- 33:15Dayna Roselli: Interesting.
- 33:15Dayna Roselli: I didn't know that.
- 33:16Dayna Roselli: Um, I've sat there before, it's never been open, but I don't know.
- 33:18Dayna Roselli: I guess it's more in the chillier season.
- 33:20Dayna Roselli: But um, yeah, great view too.
- 33:22Dayna Roselli: You can see, you know, the fountains out at the corner, you can see the whole strip, it's across the street from Caesar's Towers and all that area.
- 33:29Dayna Roselli: Um, so um, but when you book, if you want a guaranteed window seat with a great view, FYI, you have to pay$25 per person.
- 33:44Sean McAllister: Oh.
- 33:45Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 33:45Dayna Roselli: But if that's important to you, then go into open table and when you do your reservation, you have to hit strip view dining, and it says enjoy a guaranteed window seat with the best view of Las Vegas, but it's$25 per person.
- 34:01Dayna Roselli: It's pricey, but if that's really important to you, then maybe it's worth it just to not have to leave it out there and wonder if you're gonna be able to see out the window.
- 34:10Sean McAllister: Well, listen, if you're if you're going there for a special occasion or something like that, and you really want it to, you know, go above and beyond, right, then maybe it is worth it.
- 34:20Sean McAllister: Well, and it might up to you.
- 34:21Dayna Roselli: Listen, we spent$25 on a terrible espresso martini.
- 34:25Sean McAllister: Oh my god, we're never gonna get over this.
- 34:27Sean McAllister: We are not.
- 34:28Dayna Roselli: So I would have rather had a window seat over the strip, use that$25 toward that.
- 34:34Dayna Roselli: So there you go.
- 34:35Dayna Roselli: There you have it.
- 34:35Sean McAllister: Or flown to LA on spirit.
- 34:38Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
- 34:39Dayna Roselli: Oh my goodness.
- 34:40Dayna Roselli: All right, tell us about your experience um on football Sunday over at Palace Station.
- 34:45Sean McAllister: So now that we're in the heart of football season, you're always on the lookout for a good place to go and watch, a good vibe, good food deals, all that kind of thing.
- 34:54Sean McAllister: Um, we had some friends in town.
- 34:56Sean McAllister: Uh, so we went to meet up with them over at Tailgate Social.
- 35:00Sean McAllister: That's over at Palace Station, just west of the Las Vegas Strip on Sahara.
- 35:05Sean McAllister: So super close.
- 35:06Sean McAllister: I mean, if you're taking an Uber from anywhere on the strip, it would just be a few minutes away.
- 35:11Dayna Roselli: And that's the original station casino.
- 35:13Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 35:14Dayna Roselli: Right?
- 35:14Dayna Roselli: And but but Tailgate Social is a new spot.
- 35:17Sean McAllister: It's a new spot.
- 35:18Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 35:18Sean McAllister: Yep.
- 35:18Sean McAllister: You go up an escalator.
- 35:20Sean McAllister: No, you don't.
- 35:20Sean McAllister: It's uh right around the corner from the escalator when you're inside of there.
- 35:25Sean McAllister: And it's a pretty big space.
- 35:27Sean McAllister: They have TVs all around, but they have a$29 all-you can eat uh game day buffet on Saturdays and Sundays.
- 35:39Dayna Roselli: That's almost as much as our espresso martini.
- 35:42Dayna Roselli: See, you can have one espresso martini or a watery espresso martini with absolute for just a couple bucks more.
- 35:50Sean McAllister: You can go and have an entire three-hour all-you can eat package at Tailgate Social.
- 35:59Sean McAllister: Again, it's every Saturday and Sunday.
- 36:01Sean McAllister: Uh so what was on the menu?
- 36:02Sean McAllister: What was on the menu?
- 36:03Sean McAllister: They have a cheese quesadilla.
- 36:06Sean McAllister: They have the Tailgate Nachos, which I ended up ordering, and it's a huge tray of nachos.
- 36:14Dayna Roselli: It's and that's included in the$29.
- 36:17Dayna Roselli: Wow.
- 36:18Sean McAllister: So it's all included.
- 36:19Sean McAllister: Uh there's chicken tenders, there's pretzel bites, a house salad, a Philly cheesesteak, which is a full fully uh Philly cheesesteak, the Tailgate burger, which is a full burger, they have their stadium dog, uh, their tailgate fries, tater tots.
- 36:34Sean McAllister: Um, you can even get a scoop of ice cream that comes out in a little dish.
- 36:38Sean McAllister: Um, so this is all included in the$29.
- 36:41Sean McAllister: You do get a three-hour window to go.
- 36:45Dayna Roselli: So I can have nachos, uh, quesadilla, and listen, after three hours?
- 36:49Sean McAllister: Yeah, after three hours, you're gonna be good.
- 36:52Sean McAllister: Uh-huh.
- 36:52Sean McAllister: Um so we went and did that and then got uh Shane, my husband, got one of the bottomless mimosas.
- 37:00Sean McAllister: I got a bottomless Bloody Mary.
- 37:02Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 37:02Sean McAllister: Um, when all was said and done, we each got the all you can eat thing, too.
- 37:08Sean McAllister: It was 120 bucks.
- 37:10Sean McAllister: Wow the bill was, and that included gratuity because we were with a big group, so they added gratuity on.
- 37:19Sean McAllister: So I didn't think that was bad for having three hours all you can eat with the game day atmosphere.
- 37:25Dayna Roselli: And the games, they have a lot of screens there, tons of screens, good to watch football, tons from every angle.
- 37:31Sean McAllister: You've got a screen in your face.
- 37:33Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 37:34Sean McAllister: You're seeing multiple games, yeah, no matter where you're looking.
- 37:37Sean McAllister: So tailgate social over at Palace Station.
- 37:40Sean McAllister: If you're looking for a spot uh for college games on Saturday or for pro football on Sunday, uh check out their ultimate Tailgate$29 all-you can eat package.
- 37:52Dayna Roselli: Great tip.
- 37:54Dayna Roselli: Absolutely beneficial for anyone listening that wants to do that on a Sunday.
- 37:58Sean McAllister: And by the way, we did look into some other all-you can eat uh th uh places specials too.
- 38:05Sean McAllister: Um, and those kind of started at like 50 bucks.
- 38:08Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 38:08Sean McAllister: So, I mean, this is a good, it's a good deal.
- 38:11Dayna Roselli: That's a great deal.
- 38:12Dayna Roselli: Okay, love it.
- 38:13Dayna Roselli: Good tips today.
- 38:14Dayna Roselli: Hey, wanted to end the show with just a mention, something we didn't talk about earlier, and that is uh just a little respect, a little rest in peace to Pete Rose, major league baseball player, iconic, and uh lived here in Las Vegas.
- 38:27Sean McAllister: Yeah, and we always saw him around.
- 38:29Sean McAllister: He was he was not shy.
- 38:32Sean McAllister: He was out and about in Las Vegas.
- 38:34Sean McAllister: I mean, whether you were walking through the the forum shops and he was doing autographs in that sports collectible shop, or if he was out at uh a restaurant or an event.
- 38:44Dayna Roselli: I think um I saw him at the blind pig.
- 38:46Dayna Roselli: I don't think that's open anymore, but that was at the bottom of one of the towers he actually lived in.
- 38:51Dayna Roselli: Uh, it was like a condo building, high rise.
- 38:53Dayna Roselli: I won't say where it is, but um anyway, um he lived there and and was always down there having breakfast, lunch.
- 39:00Dayna Roselli: And I've gone a couple times and saw him there just chilling, eating alone, minding his business, always friendly, always said hi to everyone.
- 39:06Dayna Roselli: And if anyone ever wanted a picture, he always took one.
- 39:09Sean McAllister: Yep, he did.
- 39:10Dayna Roselli: So and we just recently did an interview with Norm, uh, who is a celebrity columnist at the Review Journal.
- 39:17Dayna Roselli: Um, he had a lot of stories about Pete Rose, some funny ones, some run-ins that he had with Pete that were not so positive, but Norm thought they were funny, and then always uh reminding us that him and Pete have come back together and they've, you know, made amends and and and all that kind of thing.
- 39:32Dayna Roselli: And it's so interesting because we just did that interview recently in our television show, and we also did put a part here in the audio podcast, and then to see that Pete passed away was really sad.
- 39:42Dayna Roselli: He did pass away in his Las Vegas home, according to TMZ.
- 39:45Dayna Roselli: He was 83 years old, which I didn't realize.
- 39:47Sean McAllister: Yeah, I didn't realize that either.
- 39:49Sean McAllister: Um, you know, he was just uh a fixture here in Las Vegas.
- 39:54Sean McAllister: Um, so it was sad news to hear about uh Pete Rose.
- 39:59Dayna Roselli: Um and everyone keeps writing me.
- 40:01Dayna Roselli: I don't know so much of the the backstory of this about the whole Hall of Fame thing.
- 40:05Dayna Roselli: A lot of people keep writing and commenting that hopefully he can get inducted into the Hall of Fame and do him right, respectfully.
- 40:11Sean McAllister: I mean, he's uh an incr I mean when it comes to his baseball record, just I mean, incredible.
- 40:18Sean McAllister: Um, but there was uh the whole betting scandal where when he was a manager, um there were allegations that he bet on the game.
- 40:27Sean McAllister: Um he ended up years later coming out and admitting that he was got a lifetime ban from Major League Baseball because of it, which excluded him from uh in any possible induction into the baseball hall of fame.
- 40:43Sean McAllister: There have been a lot of people who've said but just based off of his record on the field, he should be in there.
- 40:52Dayna Roselli: Yeah, right.
- 40:53Sean McAllister: Um but who knows?
- 40:55Sean McAllister: Hopefully something will change.
- 40:57Sean McAllister: I think he needs to be honored in some way.
- 41:00Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 41:00Sean McAllister: Because he is, I mean, he's a great, he's a legend.
- 41:03Dayna Roselli: You know, and we have, you know, living here in Las Vegas, you know, we got scandals all over the place.
- 41:07Dayna Roselli: So to us, it's just another day.
- 41:09Dayna Roselli: Just get him in the hall of fame.
- 41:10Sean McAllister: Everyone bets on sports now.
- 41:13Sean McAllister: Come on.
- 41:14Dayna Roselli: Oh my goodness.
- 41:15Dayna Roselli: Yeah, sad to hear about uh Pete Rose passing away.
