- 0:28Good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:30Today, we are talking about intuition and I'm actually came
- 0:35up with this concept of recording this one because I
- 0:38have a client who asked me about it recently and she said I'm so
- 0:41confused because I hear so many different versions in my head
- 0:44and I'm not quite sure. What is the, what is the truth?
- 0:47What is the intuition? What is my head just getting in
- 0:50the way and I thought it would be worthwhile for me to address
- 0:53here because I'm sure she's not the only person that has this
- 0:56happening and I know I have it happening.
- 0:58So I think as a human being You run into that quite a bit.
- 1:03So what is intuition? And, and yes, we all have it.
- 1:07We all have that. And we often refer to it will
- 1:09say, you know, I need to think about something.
- 1:12You know, you're in your head, you're pondering all of the
- 1:15stuff. But then we have these very
- 1:17distinct moments where we say, well, my gut tells me to go with
- 1:21this and we, as human beings. It's so funny.
- 1:25How we can identify it's coming from two different places.
- 1:29One of them is coming from her. Ahead.
- 1:31And one of them is coming from our gut, our heart, if you will,
- 1:35some people say that's the communication of the Soul, it's
- 1:39your tether to God. It's whatever you believe, but
- 1:43there is definitely a distinct difference in the feeling and
- 1:48this is where people get hung up.
- 1:49Because sometimes, they don't want to trust that piece.
- 1:52Or they'll think I have to go off.
- 1:55Their brain, gets in the way and they go into the thinking
- 1:57process and they have to go. Well, I have to go Eight that or
- 2:02often when people go through something.
- 2:04They'll say, hey, I knew, I knew all along I knew in my gut, I
- 2:09knew I wasn't supposed to do that, and I did it anyway
- 2:13because I thought it was the right thing to do for advancing
- 2:16my career or, you know, getting to this other place or whatever
- 2:20it might be, they'll discern it. They'll actually sit there and
- 2:24say, I knew it wasn't the right thing.
- 2:25I knew I shouldn't have gone in that direction, and I did it
- 2:29anyway. So, how do you cultivate your
- 2:34intuition, so that you are capable of using it more readily
- 2:39and not feeling like, it's throwing you off, if you will.
- 2:43I think the most important part of the process is to pause.
- 2:48When you are in a situation of pausing, and you just put
- 2:53yourself on hold for a second and you pull back.
- 2:56You can tell where the emotions are coming from.
- 3:00You can I'll wear the Those are residing if you will if they're
- 3:05in your body or if they're in your head and if that frenetic
- 3:09energy that anxiety, the Panic, whatever it might be is showing
- 3:14up. A lot of times that's an
- 3:17indicator you're in your head and a lot of times now, nothing
- 3:21is definitive. I can't stress that enough.
- 3:24Nothing is definitive with this, but a lot of times anxiety is
- 3:28coming from your head, from the sense that it's, it's telling
- 3:33you what you better did it, uh, and it's not clear thinking, I
- 3:37mean, I think we can all agree on the fact that most anxiety is
- 3:41not coming from a place of clear thinking, it's From a place of
- 3:47uncertainty and trying to control a lot of things which is
- 3:51never ever helpful. That's why hitting the pause
- 3:54button, is so important and putting yourself in a place
- 3:56where you can actually stop and think about your words, your
- 4:00actions and your, your Direction moving forward.
- 4:05If I had to say one thing that I think ties you into intuition
- 4:10more than anything. It's being able to pause,
- 4:14collectively, catch. Your breath, putting yourself
- 4:17into a state of getting centered.
- 4:22And then choosing there is always power and pausing and
- 4:28taking the time to collectively. Catch your breath.
- 4:32It doesn't take very long. It just takes the time to be
- 4:36able to get yourself centered. So for some of us, we can get
- 4:38centered very quickly and some of us takes a little bit longer,
- 4:42sometimes it can take up to a day.
- 4:43I mean there are times where I will say to my husband, listen
- 4:46I'm going to need to think about this and it's going to take me a
- 4:48couple days and I will collectively put Cell phone
- 4:52ahold where I will say, I'm not capable of making a decision
- 4:55right now. Or as I say to my clients in the
- 4:58current state that you're in, you're not qualified to make a
- 5:00decision for yourself because you're too emotional right now
- 5:03and you're not listening to your intuition, your listening to
- 5:06your brain. So you got to go and say, okay,
- 5:08for the next 24 hours, I'm going to put myself on a pause and I'm
- 5:13going to collectively take in all the information from my head
- 5:17and my gut. And then I'm going to process
- 5:19through it and that is is the most powerful position to be in
- 5:23because you've said to yourself, I take the pressure off.
- 5:26I'm not going to force myself to make a fast decision and do
- 5:29something that isn't right for me.
- 5:32So your intuition is always there.
- 5:35It's you being able to tap into it and get the other crap out of
- 5:39the way from your head, just get the other noise out of the way,
- 5:44push it up to the side and get collectively.
- 5:47Centered pause, how it whatever amount of time you think you?
- 5:51To pause and then listen to it. And I will say this, and I think
- 5:57that this is probably one of the most difficult lessons, I had to
- 6:02learn often times. Our intuition is not the loudest
- 6:07voice, okay, important distinction.
- 6:10It is not always the loudest voice in our head, sometimes it
- 6:14is 100%. It is, I mean, will my son had
- 6:17an accident and he was little and he was in a swimming pool
- 6:20and he Went to the bottom. My intuition was to jump in that
- 6:25pool and I didn't even think about it.
- 6:26There was no pause, it took over and I think in those situations
- 6:30it does take over, but on a daily basis, our intuition is
- 6:34more subtle. It's a little more reserved, it
- 6:36stays in, pulls back. And you don't need to jump in
- 6:40the pool on those moments. When it's whispering to you, you
- 6:43still need to hear it but it can't get to you if you're not
- 6:47pausing enough to listen to it. So don't be afraid to pause.
- 6:51Listen to all of it and then move forward.
- 6:55I hope this was helpful and I hope you guys have an
- 6:57outstanding day and I will see you tomorrow.
- 6:51Listen to all of it and then move forward.
