- 4:28Speaker 2: let's go ahead and get going real quick. FSU ended
- 4:32Speaker 2: up losing 50-36 to Alabama. They started off on fire
- 4:35Speaker 2: scoring three touchdowns in the first quarter. It was 21-6
- 4:39Speaker 2: at a certain point. Had me lying like crazy on
- 4:43Speaker 2: the timeline for a little bit and even in my
- 4:45Speaker 2: living room. Came in and played some inspired football with
- 4:52Speaker 2: all the noise that's surrounding the program within the last week,
- 4:54Speaker 2: as you guys know. Athletic director Michael Hoffer was fired.
- 4:58Speaker 2: A lot of speculation about Martin Orville's job and that
- 5:01Speaker 2: type of deal.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Team kind of I guess.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Heard the noise and felt like they needed to respond
- 5:09Speaker 2: and they came out inspired early on. But even with that,
- 5:13Speaker 2: it was still some of the same issues that we
- 5:14Speaker 2: discussed in previous shows, in previous podcasts or shows, whatever
- 5:19Speaker 2: that showed his face during the course.
- 5:20Speaker 3: Of the game.
- 5:21Speaker 2: And everything kind of just a seemed to implode from there.
- 5:27Speaker 2: I was weary early on with our quick start due
- 5:32Speaker 2: to how Alabama has been playing this season. As you
- 5:34Speaker 2: guys recall, last week against Kentucky, they started off real
- 5:40Speaker 2: slow against Kentucky and then got things going in the
- 5:42Speaker 2: second quarter, or the second half, rather, and pulled away
- 5:45Speaker 2: from Kentucky. It was kind of similar to what we
- 5:47Speaker 2: did at FSU, but a lot of the stuff, I
- 5:48Speaker 2: think it was just us shooting ourselves in the foot
- 5:51Speaker 2: for the most part. But again, we lost another true
- 5:54Speaker 2: road game, which is the streak has continued. FSU hasn't
- 5:59Speaker 2: won a road game dating back to 2023, the last
- 6:04Speaker 2: game of the regular season against the Florida Gators, 2023.
- 6:07Speaker 2: And again, I say true road game. I know a
- 6:10Speaker 2: lot of people like to talk about the ACC championship
- 6:14Speaker 2: and that type of deal.
- 6:16Speaker 1: That wasn't a true road game. Those venues are neutral
- 6:18Speaker 1: site fields. A true road game won to the opponent's field,
- 6:21Speaker 1: that's a true road game. So, I saw it in
- 6:24Speaker 1: the comments in the past when I mentioned the true
- 6:26Speaker 1: road game. They said, well, no, we had a road win.
- 6:29Speaker 1: That's not a road win. So, yeah, going back to
- 6:36Speaker 1: the Florida game. Yeah, what's the next opportunity we have?
- 6:39Speaker 1: We have Central, what, Central Arkansas, Virginia. Well, we got
- 6:44Speaker 1: a Friday night at Louisville. You know, our Friday night
- 6:47Speaker 1: is going. We know how Louisville has been performing. So,
- 6:49Speaker 1: we'll get.
- 6:52Speaker 2: We'll get to that when we get to it, but
- 6:53Speaker 2: I guess you kind of put two and two together,
- 6:55Speaker 2: that streak may continue. I'm going to go ahead and
- 6:57Speaker 2: start with the defense and just give some takes on
- 6:59Speaker 2: what I saw from the defense standpoint. You got guys
- 7:01Speaker 2: going to go defense and offense. Well, offense and defense,
- 7:04Speaker 2: I'm going to go defense first because these guys, this
- 7:07Speaker 2: unit here needs the most attention for sure, especially after
- 7:10Speaker 2: the performance we had last night. So you're going to
- 7:14Speaker 2: go ahead and get started with the defense. Defense gave
- 7:17Speaker 2: up 50 points to Alabama. This may very well be
- 7:20Speaker 2: the worst defense ever. I have seen at FSU, and
- 7:23Speaker 2: that's certainly saying a lot with some of the defensive
- 7:26Speaker 2: coordinators that we have had in recent years. We had
- 7:28Speaker 2: a real good run of defensive coordinators with, of course,
- 7:31Speaker 2: legendary Mickey Andrews.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Then we go with Mark.
- 7:34Speaker 2: Stoops, and then we transition from Mark Stoops to, I
- 7:40Speaker 2: forgot my guy's name, Jeremy Pruitt. Then we go from
- 7:43Speaker 2: Jeremy Pruitt to, you start to see the drop-off, right?
- 7:46Speaker 2: Charles Kelly, Harlan Barnett, and Alan Fuller. Not a great
- 7:51Speaker 2: run of DCs in recent years, but again, this, with
- 7:56Speaker 2: what I've seen from Tony White, man, he may be
- 7:58Speaker 2: the worst of them all, and again, that's saying a lot.
- 8:01Speaker 2: While stat, we have allowed 50 points four times during
- 8:04Speaker 2: Mike Norvell's tenure. Prior to that, we gave up 50
- 8:08Speaker 2: points four times from 1986 to 2019.
- 8:10Speaker 1: So Mike Norvell's tenure started in 2020.
- 8:11Speaker 2: From 2020 to 2026, we have allowed 50 points four times.
- 8:24Speaker 2: From 1986 to 2019, that's what? 20, 33 years? In
- 8:38Speaker 2: 33 years, we allowed 50 points four times. Within six,
- 8:42Speaker 2: going on seven years, we allowed 50 points four times.
- 8:46Speaker 2: That says a lot. Is Mike a part of the
- 8:48Speaker 2: issue as well as far as the defense? Because clearly
- 8:51Speaker 2: I think it has to be because if you look
- 8:52Speaker 2: at Tony White, he was very successful prior to FSU. Nebraska,
- 8:56Speaker 2: really good defense. Even prior to Nebraska, Syracuse had a
- 9:00Speaker 2: really good defense. We saw those guys in the ACC,
- 9:03Speaker 2: a really good defense. The defense work, guys bought in.
- 9:06Speaker 2: What's the issue now? I don't really, and it's crazy
- 9:08Speaker 2: because even going back to previous coaches and that type
- 9:12Speaker 2: of deal, I do know that Adam Fuller, he was
- 9:17Speaker 2: good at, Memphis and good at Marshall, if I'm not mistaken.
- 9:20Speaker 2: But again, that's G5. But you go back to Harlem Barnett,
- 9:24Speaker 2: Michigan State. Michigan State had pretty good defenses. Then you
- 9:26Speaker 2: come to Florida State, seems like nothing, like you forgot
- 9:29Speaker 2: the coach. And that's pretty much what we see from
- 9:31Speaker 2: Tony White, in my opinion. I don't know what the
- 9:34Speaker 2: issue could be. But new coaches come to FSU and
- 9:38Speaker 2: seem like they never coached football before.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Can't be a coincidence. Maybe it's a reflection from the
- 9:43Speaker 1: head coach.
- 9:44Speaker 2: We gave up 567 yards of total offense to Alabama.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Within the last two games combined, SFU and Alabama, we
- 9:52Speaker 2: have given a 1,152.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Repeat that again. Within the last.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Two games, we have given up 1,152 yards within the
- 10:07Speaker 2: last two games.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Clearly the 3-3-5 isn't working.
- 10:10Speaker 2: And things pretty much when Kalen DeBoer figured out what
- 10:14Speaker 2: we were doing and how they can expose us, they
- 10:16Speaker 2: exposed us. Where they attack, they attack the edge, right,
- 10:19Speaker 2: from a running football standpoint. Up the middle wasn't really, well,
- 10:22Speaker 2: between the tackles wasn't really working for Bama until we
- 10:25Speaker 2: got later in the game when our defensive line was
- 10:27Speaker 2: just gashed due to depth. That's another issue we're going
- 10:31Speaker 2: to talk about. That's when Bama just did what the
- 10:34Speaker 2: hell they wanted to with us at the tail end
- 10:37Speaker 2: of the game. You know, FSU scored that touchdown. We're
- 10:39Speaker 2: down seven at a certain point in time, and we
- 10:41Speaker 2: need the ball back to get the offensive chance. Once
- 10:44Speaker 2: we scored that touchdown, I said in my head, there's
- 10:45Speaker 2: no way in hell and we kind of put the
- 10:51Speaker 2: game in the defense's hands, there's no way in hell
- 10:53Speaker 2: we get that ball back with a chance to win.
- 10:55Speaker 2: They're not going to stop these guys from scoring. They're
- 10:57Speaker 2: not going to get a three out of the center
- 10:59Speaker 2: to give our offense enough time. We've seen this multiple
- 11:02Speaker 2: times before, even going back to, well, I guess you
- 11:05Speaker 2: could say SMU gave the defense, the defense gave the
- 11:08Speaker 2: offense a few chances and SMU the interceptions and the
- 11:10Speaker 2: turnovers we didn't capitalize on. But it was just a,
- 11:15Speaker 2: When one team, one side is clicking the other side,
- 11:17Speaker 2: I don't know, man. We can't really get our own way.
- 11:20Speaker 2: But once I saw the offense score that touchdown and
- 11:22Speaker 2: we put the owners back on the defense to get
- 11:24Speaker 2: a stop, I knew it wasn't going to happen with
- 11:27Speaker 2: how things were panning out for FSU. But again, within
- 11:32Speaker 2: the last two games, 1,152 yards, and we're talking about
- 11:35Speaker 2: Florida State, right?
- 11:37Speaker 1: Florida State.
- 11:37Speaker 2: And a lot of this stuff is just, it's not
- 11:40Speaker 2: necessarily just really getting out-schemed or a hell of a
- 11:43Speaker 2: game plan for the offenses. It's self-inflicted wounds that we
- 11:47Speaker 2: do over and over again to ourselves. Alignment, not being
- 11:52Speaker 2: set up in that type of deal, like that screen
- 11:56Speaker 2: pass to the receiver that went for like 50 or
- 11:58Speaker 2: 60 yards for a touchdown. It should have been a
- 11:59Speaker 2: holding call on the corner, but again, I'm not going
- 12:02Speaker 2: to cry about that. As far as that take for attack,
- 12:05Speaker 2: we should have been better aligned to prevent that. Again,
- 12:11Speaker 2: I think it was like three by, three by, yeah,
- 12:13Speaker 2: trips to the side. And we only had two or
- 12:16Speaker 2: so defenders to cover those guys. And we were eight
- 12:19Speaker 2: yards off again. So much space in between the offense
- 12:23Speaker 2: and the defense. We're outflanked from a numbers standpoint, three
- 12:26Speaker 2: to two. And they just simply.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Used numbers.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Used numbers and those guys made effective blocks to make
- 12:33Speaker 2: the play happen. Stuff like that cannot happen from an
- 12:35Speaker 2: alignment standpoint, from defense. getting a defensive call, whatever it
- 12:39Speaker 2: may be, man. If you look at a steal shot
- 12:41Speaker 2: for that play, there's no way in hell we should
- 12:43Speaker 2: have been in line like that at all. But again,
- 12:46Speaker 2: that 3-3-5 just isn't working. They attacked the edges and
- 12:50Speaker 2: pretty much did whatever they wanted to. We don't have
- 12:52Speaker 2: any true edge centers at all.
- 12:54Speaker 4: None.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Literally no edge centers.
- 12:56Speaker 2: And this is one of my biggest gripes with Tony
- 13:00Speaker 2: White in the defense and what we.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Kind of saw from him in their philosophies.
- 13:06Speaker 2: If you guys remember within this offense, they said they're
- 13:08Speaker 2: sacrificing size up front for speed. They feel like the
- 13:12Speaker 2: speed up front would make the run defense a lot
- 13:15Speaker 2: more effective. That's when I... I never heard that shit
- 13:18Speaker 2: before in my life. Sacrificing size for speed up front.
- 13:22Speaker 2: First of all, we're Florida State. We're Florida State. We
- 13:27Speaker 2: are Florida State. You're not at Syracuse. You're not recruiting
- 13:30Speaker 2: guys at Syracuse. Even at Nebraska, you had... from a
- 13:35Speaker 2: defensive line and front seven standpoint, those guys look like,
- 13:37Speaker 2: look the part. You got some really good defensive line
- 13:40Speaker 2: in Nebraska, really good defensive line. A lot of those
- 13:42Speaker 2: guys transferred from Nebraska, went elsewhere, made a lot of plays,
- 13:46Speaker 2: but you had really good.
- 13:49Speaker 1: I don't get it.
- 13:49Speaker 2: You had really good, good guys on the defensive line
- 13:52Speaker 2: over at those schools. And to say you're sacrificing, sacrificing
- 13:55Speaker 2: size to speed up front. We're Florida state. You can
- 13:59Speaker 2: get both. Like we're Florida state. We're in a rich
- 14:02Speaker 2: challenge state. Your recruiting area is, from Georgia, Alabama, North Florida,
- 14:08Speaker 2: Central Florida, South Florida. You shot my guy Grimes. He says,
- 14:11Speaker 2: you don't need to leave within a 250 mile radius
- 14:14Speaker 2: of Florida state to get the talent you need.
- 14:15Speaker 1: And it is correct.
- 14:16Speaker 2: So I say that to say this, it's no need
- 14:19Speaker 2: to sacrifice size up front for speed. When you're at
- 14:22Speaker 2: Florida state, you could get both. And I mean, we've
- 14:24Speaker 2: seen both with the defensive quarters. I stated that weren't
- 14:27Speaker 2: that good. We've seen both Charles Kelly. He had granted
- 14:31Speaker 2: rate recruiting from Jim O'Fisher doing the tail end. Of course,
- 14:34Speaker 2: from a defense standpoint, but we had size with Charles
- 14:37Speaker 2: Kelly and we had speed.
- 14:39Speaker 1: Adam Fuller, Mike's previous defensive coordinator. We had both. Look
- 14:44Speaker 1: at our defensive line. Fabian, you'll love it.
- 14:49Speaker 2: Brayden Fisk, Jermaine Johnson, Jared Verse, Josh Farmer, Daryl Jackson.
- 14:56Speaker 2: We had And then you look on the back end
- 14:58Speaker 2: behind that, you know, you had the Caden Deloach's, Taylor McToon's,
- 15:01Speaker 2: that type of thing, of course, the secondary. But we
- 15:02Speaker 2: had size and speed under Alan Fuller. So why are you,
- 15:07Speaker 2: you don't have to do that at Florida State, man.
- 15:08Speaker 2: Like there's some certain schools you can do that. But
- 15:11Speaker 2: when you're at Florida State, a premier program from a
- 15:17Speaker 2: tradition standpoint, especially a defense as well, just overall, but
- 15:21Speaker 2: defensive standpoint, you guys know we bring in hella guys, right?
- 15:25Speaker 2: From the defensive line, linebacker room, the defensive back room,
- 15:27Speaker 2: Florida State, we always have great athletes, physical athletes, and
- 15:31Speaker 2: that type of deal. Fast guys, sideline to sideline, whatever
- 15:34Speaker 2: it may be. You don't need to sacrifice size for
- 15:36Speaker 2: speed at a school like Florida State.
- 15:37Speaker 1: You can get both.
- 15:39Speaker 2: At certain schools, Miami, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Ohio State, Bama,
- 15:46Speaker 2: certain schools, LSUs, you don't have to sacrifice one or
- 15:49Speaker 2: the other. You get both because you put out both
- 15:53Speaker 2: in the past. You develop both in the past. And
- 15:55Speaker 2: you get the best output by recruiting the best damn players.
- 15:59Speaker 2: And that's size, speed, all of the above. So once
- 16:01Speaker 2: we went that route, it really threw me for a
- 16:06Speaker 2: loop in them hearing that. And again, my biggest issue
- 16:08Speaker 2: with him and Pop Rose is just the lack of
- 16:10Speaker 2: additions as well from a quality guy standpoint on the
- 16:13Speaker 2: defensive line. That's what I really thought we was getting
- 16:15Speaker 2: once we hired Tony White and then we transitioned from
- 16:19Speaker 2: Odell and got a younger defensive line coach who knows
- 16:21Speaker 2: what it looks like. If you look at what Nebraska
- 16:23Speaker 2: had on the defensive line, It was pretty damn good.
- 16:25Speaker 2: Those guys didn't give a shit in the run game.
- 16:27Speaker 2: I believe Tony White, they didn't have a 100-yard rusher
- 16:29Speaker 2: or something. It was a streak going on there. They
- 16:32Speaker 2: held Ohio State, who was the eventual national championship, to
- 16:35Speaker 2: less than 300 yards. That's crazy as hell. That's why
- 16:40Speaker 2: I'm so baffled. They held Ohio State the national champion
- 16:43Speaker 2: that year. Jeremiah Smith, all the receivers they had, running backs,
- 16:47Speaker 2: they had two running backs go second round. Just a
- 16:48Speaker 2: loaded offense, right? Held those guys to less than 300 yards,
- 16:52Speaker 2: but then we have The past two games, we give
- 16:55Speaker 2: over 1,000 yards to teams with way less talent. And
- 16:59Speaker 2: you would think at Florida State we have more talent
- 17:02Speaker 2: than Nebraska, but that's clearly not the case.
- 17:05Speaker 1: But that's fine.
- 17:06Speaker 2: You bring in the coaches from Nebraska to supplement that,
- 17:10Speaker 2: and we still don't do that as far as emphasizing
- 17:13Speaker 2: the defensive line and bringing guys in from a quality
- 17:16Speaker 2: depth standpoint on the defensive line.
- 17:18Speaker 1: It's crazy.
- 17:20Speaker 2: And That's kind of how the game got away a
- 17:23Speaker 2: little bit in the second half. It's just we didn't
- 17:25Speaker 2: have the guys up front. And you look on the
- 17:27Speaker 2: flip end, and if you guys listen to the podcast
- 17:31Speaker 2: or the pregame podcast I went on with the Bama
- 17:34Speaker 2: 247 reporter, their defensive line was the highlight. And he
- 17:37Speaker 2: highlighted the depth they had. They're playing 10 guys. They're rotating.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Those guys are fresh. It's recruiting at a high clip
- 17:45Speaker 2: in the trenches and reaping the reward of it.
- 17:47Speaker 1: And that showed.
- 17:49Speaker 2: It showed for us as well, too, as far as
- 17:51Speaker 2: what happens when you don't prioritize the defense line and
- 17:56Speaker 2: recruiting that type of deal. Motherfuckers in that fourth quarter,
- 18:01Speaker 2: that shit was embarrassing, man. It was like 10 yards
- 18:04Speaker 2: apart running the football, 10 yards apart.
- 18:06Speaker 1: They just gave up.
- 18:07Speaker 2: They were out of gas. It was just pathetic, to
- 18:08Speaker 2: be honest with you. But the recruiting differences showed at
- 18:13Speaker 2: a certain point within the game. That's why I feel
- 18:14Speaker 2: like we should have took advantage of the situation early
- 18:17Speaker 2: on when we had that 21-6 lead But that's my
- 18:22Speaker 2: biggest issue, and that's all I have to really say
- 18:23Speaker 2: about Tony White specifically.
- 18:26Speaker 1: I just don't think he's the guy, man.
- 18:28Speaker 2: You go from being a guy in Nebraska and Syracuse
- 18:31Speaker 2: to putting out really good defenses and being creative and
- 18:33Speaker 2: exotic in how you attack offenses, and then you come
- 18:36Speaker 2: to Florida State, and it's like, oh, that shit goes
- 18:37Speaker 2: out the window, and nothing trans.
- 18:40Speaker 1: I do want to say this as well, too. I'll
- 18:42Speaker 1: get to that once we get to the pass game.
- 18:49Speaker 2: But, yeah, going to the 567 they had on total offense,
- 18:52Speaker 2: they had 320 through the air and an embarrassing 247
- 18:55Speaker 2: on the ground. Like I said, we played great for
- 18:58Speaker 2: like the first quarter and a half, and everything just
- 18:59Speaker 2: pretty much imploded.
- 19:00Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 19:01Speaker 2: If you get 36 points for your offense, like it's.
- 19:05Speaker 1: No way in hell you should lose a game at
- 19:07Speaker 1: Florida State. No way in hell.
- 19:10Speaker 2: If your offense scores 36 points in a game, let
- 19:13Speaker 2: me repeat this again, there is no way in hell
- 19:16Speaker 2: you should lose that game at Florida State University. Like,
- 19:22Speaker 2: you give Mickey Andrews fucking 36 points a game. Like, shit,
- 19:25Speaker 2: you give Mickey Andrews 36 points a game during the
- 19:27Speaker 2: last decade, that whole, and that's what Mickey Andrews is
- 19:31Speaker 2: on the tail end. You give him 36 points during
- 19:33Speaker 2: that time frame, that whole quote-unquote last decade, because we
- 19:37Speaker 2: see what that shit really was and where we're in now.
- 19:41Speaker 2: The quote-unquote last decade, the false last decade, we'll use
- 19:44Speaker 2: that terminology. If you give Mickey Andrews 36, damn, if
- 19:49Speaker 2: Jeff Brown scores fucking 36 points a game, an old-ass
- 19:52Speaker 2: Mickey Andrews, a wash past his time Mickey Andrews, looks
- 19:56Speaker 2: like he gives you what you need. So it's just
- 19:59Speaker 2: crazy that at a university like Florida State, and you
- 20:01Speaker 2: see the frustration from Mike on the sideline in certain situations,
- 20:05Speaker 2: him wanting the ball back, but the defense couldn't get
- 20:07Speaker 2: off the ball at the same damn time. It falls
- 20:09Speaker 2: on you because you're the guy that hired these coaches
- 20:11Speaker 2: in the first place. But 27 rushing yards on 14 carries,
- 20:16Speaker 2: this is a crazy stat. And it kind of shows
- 20:18Speaker 2: what I just said about the depth and that type
- 20:20Speaker 2: of deal and how it just wore on us as
- 20:23Speaker 2: the game went on. And, again, it falls on the staff.
- 20:27Speaker 2: You knew what you had, and they felt like this
- 20:29Speaker 2: was enough from a defensive line standpoint. And everyone within
- 20:31Speaker 2: the fan base, outside looking in, and that's the part
- 20:35Speaker 2: I really don't understand.
- 20:36Speaker 1: We were on the outside looking in. We're like, no,
- 20:38Speaker 1: that shit's not enough. It's not enough.
- 20:40Speaker 2: How can you be inside? Like, do you not know
- 20:41Speaker 2: what it really looks like? But, again, I can't say
- 20:44Speaker 2: that because, again, you're at Nebraska, and the shit looked
- 20:47Speaker 2: like you knew what it looked like. But, again, 27
- 20:50Speaker 2: rushing yards on 14 carries in the first half. They
- 20:54Speaker 2: had 220 rushing yards on 22 attempts in the second half.
- 21:01Speaker 1: Boy, that's some losing football. 20.
- 21:04Speaker 2: 220 rushing yards on 22 attempts in the second half.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Let me do some math on that shit real quick.
- 21:15Speaker 1: I want to see that average. Appreciate you, Harden. I
- 21:19Speaker 1: was getting my calculator in the super producer, Harden.
- 21:21Speaker 2: That's 10 yards of pop in the second half.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Running the football.
- 21:28Speaker 2: You go from close to 2 yards of pop in
- 21:30Speaker 2: the first half to 10 yards of pop in the
- 21:32Speaker 2: second half. I mean, the half was like literally... Night
- 21:36Speaker 2: and day, man.
- 21:37Speaker 1: It's crazy. Tell the two cities. Tell the two cities.
- 21:40Speaker 2: You go from pretty much two yards of rushing in
- 21:42Speaker 2: the first half to 10 yards of rushing in the
- 21:44Speaker 2: second half.
- 21:45Speaker 1: But it goes to that.
- 21:46Speaker 2: Depth, man, in how these teams like Obama, Georgia, Ohio State, LSU,
- 21:54Speaker 2: teams that recruit to that degree, it's a four-quarter game.
- 21:57Speaker 1: And that shit wears on you, right?
- 21:59Speaker 2: And it's clear as day that in the second half,
- 22:02Speaker 2: we had no answers for those guys. On top of
- 22:05Speaker 2: Caleb DeBoer, who's a hell of an offensive play caller,
- 22:09Speaker 2: figuring out what the fuck Tony White was doing and
- 22:11Speaker 2: taking advantage of it. And Tony White not making any
- 22:13Speaker 2: adjustments due to that. It's a chess match throughout the game.
- 22:16Speaker 2: And pretty much that first half, first quarter, first quarter
- 22:19Speaker 2: and a half, we had Caleb DeBoer's number. After that,
- 22:24Speaker 2: it was clear that he caught up and figured out
- 22:25Speaker 2: what was going on. And also, that was the worst
- 22:29Speaker 2: close of a half or a period of football that.
- 22:33Speaker 1: I've seen probably in my life.
- 22:35Speaker 2: And again, I guess you could say even from a
- 22:37Speaker 2: Mike coach team, and it kind of symbolizes and summarizes
- 22:41Speaker 2: everything we've seen from the Mike Norvell tenure, right? It
- 22:44Speaker 2: was like a minute and some change, left in the half.
- 22:46Speaker 2: We're up, really should have been up 21-6 if Jabril
- 22:49Speaker 2: Rawls doesn't get caught sleeping. That's another thing I'm going
- 22:53Speaker 2: to discuss in a second. But we're up 21-13 in
- 22:56Speaker 2: the second, in the second down and six. This is
- 23:00Speaker 2: the transition of plays that happened within less than two minutes.
- 23:05Speaker 2: This is what happened within that transition. We go three
- 23:09Speaker 2: players in the pick, right? They go two players and
- 23:12Speaker 2: score a touchdown. We get the ball back. We go
- 23:15Speaker 2: three players in the punt. They get the ball back.
- 23:17Speaker 2: These motherfuckers go two plays and score. Within that time frame,
- 23:22Speaker 2: just terrible football, man. If you had a football book
- 23:27Speaker 2: and what not to do in a two-minute drill, that
- 23:30Speaker 2: shit would be have his own chapter in the book,
- 23:35Speaker 2: pictures and all, in regards to what not to do
- 23:37Speaker 2: to close the second half. And on the flip end,
- 23:40Speaker 2: what to do to finish out the second half, you
- 23:43Speaker 2: just put in whatever the fuck Kevin DeBoer in the
- 23:46Speaker 2: office did, you put that film out and showed that.
- 23:48Speaker 2: It was just crazy. Terrible football all around, and you
- 23:51Speaker 2: have a 21-point swing just like that. So once you
- 23:54Speaker 2: have Alabama down 21-6, you could go 21-6 going into
- 23:58Speaker 2: the second half if you play sound football. But 21-point swing,
- 24:02Speaker 2: just like that in the second quarter, to close the
- 24:06Speaker 2: second quarter, rather. Then everything kind of imploded from there.
- 24:09Speaker 2: Like I said, they did attack the edge. We have
- 24:11Speaker 2: no edge setters. The game went on. You just saw
- 24:15Speaker 2: Wake expose us.
- 24:17Speaker 1: We had one sack on the night. One sack on
- 24:19Speaker 1: the night. One sack. We had one sack on the night,
- 24:25Speaker 1: and that sack came from a corner. A corner. A corner.
- 24:31Speaker 2: Now, I will give Tony White credit for early in
- 24:35Speaker 2: the first half, second half, he kind of went away
- 24:37Speaker 2: from it. He was exotic in his pressures, right? He
- 24:39Speaker 2: was bringing blitzes from the corner, things like that. We
- 24:41Speaker 2: were getting home in certain situations where we, like that
- 24:43Speaker 2: fourth and two or three, we should have sat Keelan Russell,
- 24:46Speaker 2: but he ended up breaking a few tackles and making
- 24:48Speaker 2: that play. But I was okay with the pressure he
- 24:50Speaker 2: was bringing, but this defensive line, man, we don't have it.
- 24:55Speaker 1: It's just not it. It's crazy. I've never, we thought
- 24:58Speaker 1: last year's pass rush was bad.
- 25:01Speaker 2: And we thought it would be addition by subtraction when
- 25:04Speaker 2: you lose guys like Williams, the defensive end we got
- 25:09Speaker 2: from Nebraska, who did pretty much nothing for FSU.
- 25:13Speaker 1: It's crazy.
- 25:14Speaker 2: You would think it would be addition by subtraction, but
- 25:17Speaker 2: we end up getting worse, man. It's zero pass rush
- 25:19Speaker 2: at all. It's like me being out there at 36
- 25:22Speaker 2: years old trying to rush the pass. I'm just not
- 25:25Speaker 2: going to get there, not going to get home. the quarterback,
- 25:28Speaker 2: Keenan Russell, had literally all day to throw the football.
- 25:30Speaker 2: And that's asking a lot from our secondary that can't
- 25:35Speaker 2: cover to save their life, right? Can't play man coverage well,
- 25:38Speaker 2: can't do zone coverage well. It's literally a mix of,
- 25:40Speaker 2: it's a perfect mix. It is a perfect mix. You
- 25:44Speaker 2: have zero pass rush. You have all day to throw
- 25:47Speaker 2: the football. You have a secondary that really isn't that good,
- 25:51Speaker 2: doesn't know how to zone match, doesn't know how to
- 25:52Speaker 2: play man coverage, doesn't know how, doesn't understand down and distance.
- 25:58Speaker 1: Situational football, sticks, that type of deal, you have the
- 26:01Speaker 1: results that we have.
- 26:04Speaker 2: So we're talking about attacking the edge, not being able
- 26:07Speaker 2: to set the edge at all, zero pass rush, zero sacks.
- 26:11Speaker 1: You got to have a conversation, Nick Williams.
- 26:15Speaker 2: I mean, you're the loudest coach on the damn staff,
- 26:18Speaker 2: even louder than Mike Norvell. You're a big rah-rah guy.
- 26:22Speaker 2: You need your damn unit to play rah-rah because they're
- 26:24Speaker 2: not playing at all. It seems like they're just they're
- 26:28Speaker 2: just there. Seems like, to be honest with you, seems
- 26:31Speaker 2: like nothing has changed from last year as far as
- 26:33Speaker 2: Pop Rose coaching the entire unit. We added you to
- 26:38Speaker 2: take pressure off of Pop Rose to pretty much coach
- 26:39Speaker 2: the entire unit, but it seems like he's still doing
- 26:42Speaker 2: that because the edge rushers are ineffective. No effect at all.
- 26:49Speaker 2: Just out there to be out there. Unit isn't playing
- 26:53Speaker 2: the run well or we're not getting home in the
- 26:55Speaker 2: pass rush again. Just lack of depth, like I stated.
- 26:59Speaker 5: Overall.
- 27:07Speaker 2: That one sack is crazy when you're being from a corner.
- 27:09Speaker 2: And this has been the issue all year. Now, this
- 27:11Speaker 2: isn't nothing new. We had a lack of pass rush
- 27:14Speaker 2: against New Mexico State. Definitely had a lack of pass
- 27:18Speaker 2: rush against SMU. So all the things that we, as
- 27:22Speaker 2: a fan base, were complaining about from New Mexico State
- 27:26Speaker 2: We were right to complain about it because we knew
- 27:28Speaker 2: what was on the schedule, right? We knew the gauntlet
- 27:30Speaker 2: that was coming up. And if you perform this way
- 27:32Speaker 2: against the Mexico State, now granted, your biggest jump is
- 27:35Speaker 2: from game one to game two.
- 27:36Speaker 1: We know that. But just.
- 27:39Speaker 2: That team, defense, whatever, didn't get the benefit of the
- 27:43Speaker 2: doubt or should have get the benefit of the doubt
- 27:45Speaker 2: due to past situations, 2-12, 2-10, 5-7, past situations, right?
- 27:53Speaker 2: And you translate that over to the first game of
- 27:56Speaker 2: the year And it's some of the same, and of course,
- 27:59Speaker 2: SMU has played, Bama has played, and it's exactly the same,
- 28:02Speaker 2: just on a higher degree because you're playing better talent.
- 28:11Speaker 2: But yeah, man, it's just disappointing, man, as a defensive
- 28:17Speaker 2: back guy myself, a fan of Florida State, who I
- 28:20Speaker 2: truly believe is DBU, all the great defensive backs we've produced.
- 28:24Speaker 1: Over the years.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Put into the league, I mean, decades, decades. I'm talking
- 28:28Speaker 2: from the 80s, 90s, 2000s, 2010s, even the 2020s early.
- 28:35Speaker 1: On with Mike.
- 28:36Speaker 2: He had a run with guys playing good damn football
- 28:39Speaker 2: from a defensive back standpoint, getting Jack the High going
- 28:42Speaker 2: to the league, Jerry and Jones, Zariah Thomas.
- 28:49Speaker 1: Forgot my corners.
- 28:52Speaker 2: Renardo Green, San Francisco 49ers, like, Hell, even prior to that,
- 28:56Speaker 2: we had, damn, what's our safety from South Carolina that
- 29:00Speaker 2: transferred over? It was all ACC. Jamie Robinson. Jamie Robinson.
- 29:04Speaker 2: So we've had, even in the 2020s, we've had good
- 29:08Speaker 2: defensive back. I'm talking about 80s, 90s, 2000s, 2010s, 2020s.
- 29:14Speaker 2: It's been consistent with FSU having good defensive back play.
- 29:18Speaker 2: And just seeing this as a fan of Florida State,
- 29:22Speaker 2: first off, As a defensive back guy, it's just disheartening, man.
- 29:26Speaker 1: The kid.
- 29:29Speaker 2: Was 23 for 30 in pass attempts, 320 yards, three touchdowns,
- 29:34Speaker 2: 56 yards rushing on one rushing touchdown as well, so
- 29:37Speaker 2: four touchdowns overall. He had that long touchdown run with
- 29:42Speaker 2: this quarterback. He was literally untouched. There was nobody within
- 29:45Speaker 2: five to ten yards of Russell when he struck out
- 29:49Speaker 2: for that long run. It's just simple stuff, man, that's
- 29:54Speaker 2: killing us along with the lack of talent. When you
- 29:56Speaker 2: have a lack of talent, then when you misalign, outflanked
- 30:01Speaker 2: with three versus two, that type of deal, you have
- 30:02Speaker 2: the results that you have. I want to speak real
- 30:04Speaker 2: quick about a few players to move on to the
- 30:06Speaker 2: offensive side. Jabril Rawls, man, I don't... Jabril Rawls, I
- 30:12Speaker 2: don't know. Lack of discipline, focus, taking plays off. It's crazy.
- 30:17Speaker 2: As a defensive back and as a guy that want
- 30:21Speaker 2: to be a high draft pick, you got to go
- 30:22Speaker 2: in down, in and down, out and play consistently good football.
- 30:26Speaker 1: You have to lock in. You can't.
- 30:29Speaker 2: Take plays off, mental plays off, and just be lax
- 30:32Speaker 2: out there. That's exactly what happened. The same thing that
- 30:34Speaker 2: pretty much happened against SMU, happened to him against Bama,
- 30:40Speaker 2: one-on-one coverage. He's just been lackadaisical in his technique, going
- 30:43Speaker 2: through the damn motion. I'm assuming he didn't really think
- 30:45Speaker 2: the ball, I don't know if he think the receiver
- 30:47Speaker 2: was running the true route, the ball was coming his
- 30:48Speaker 2: way or whatever, but it was just terrible output this
- 30:52Speaker 2: time in the third, and then we give up the touchdown.
- 30:55Speaker 2: You can't give up that touchdown, man. It wasn't a
- 30:57Speaker 2: bad play called by by T.
- 30:59Speaker 3: White.
- 30:59Speaker 2: It's just man for man, make a damn play. And
- 31:03Speaker 2: this is supposed to be our best defensive back, right?
- 31:05Speaker 2: This is a guy that we fought for to come
- 31:07Speaker 2: back via the portal, enter the transfer portal. We fought
- 31:10Speaker 2: for him to come back, paid him a decent amount
- 31:12Speaker 2: of money. Was supposed to be the guy this year
- 31:14Speaker 2: for FSU. A highly rated defensive back, a high draft pick.
- 31:18Speaker 2: This is supposed to be the guy that's supposed to
- 31:19Speaker 2: carry the DBU mantra going into this year. But he's
- 31:22Speaker 2: been a huge disappointment, man. I don't know what, I'm
- 31:25Speaker 2: not sure what it is. Is it the hype coming
- 31:27Speaker 2: in from last year to this year? just another thing too.
- 31:32Speaker 2: Maybe it's the not necessarily addition, but the subtraction, so
- 31:39Speaker 2: to speak, with the firing of Patrick Sertan.
- 31:42Speaker 1: Could this be an issue?
- 31:45Speaker 2: These defensive backs look completely different from what they did
- 31:47Speaker 2: last year under Pat and Tony White to how they
- 31:52Speaker 2: look now under Blue Adams, the current cornerback coach.
- 31:56Speaker 1: Could that be the issue?
- 31:58Speaker 2: I know for a fact Pat Sertan understood situational football, right?
- 32:03Speaker 2: He understood what route combinations you'd be getting on certain downers,
- 32:06Speaker 2: third and five, third and six. He understood sticks. He
- 32:09Speaker 2: understood playing the sticks. Situational football, Pat Sertan understood. Man coverage,
- 32:17Speaker 2: just that third, Pat Sertan understood. So I don't know.
- 32:20Speaker 2: Maybe that's something to keep an eye on because our
- 32:22Speaker 2: defensive backs last year looked nothing like how they looked
- 32:25Speaker 2: this year. You know, we did give up a lot
- 32:26Speaker 2: of plays. through the pass game last year as well, too.
- 32:29Speaker 2: But this year, last year was more so just guys
- 32:35Speaker 2: wasn't running completely wide open last year. A lot of
- 32:39Speaker 2: this misplay. So, like, for instance, we look at the
- 32:42Speaker 2: explosive plays Miami had against us last year with Malachi, Tony,
- 32:46Speaker 2: and I think it was another receiver, can't forget. But
- 32:49Speaker 2: the coverage wasn't bad. We just misplays on the coverage. We,
- 32:52Speaker 2: in that type of deal, didn't make the tackle. It
- 32:54Speaker 2: wasn't situational where it's, third and five, and we're nine
- 32:57Speaker 2: yards off from back-pelling and just letting Tony get the
- 33:00Speaker 2: first down wide open and that.
- 33:01Speaker 1: Type of deal.
- 33:02Speaker 2: It wasn't that situation. So, I don't know, maybe that's
- 33:04Speaker 2: something to keep an eye on as well. The firing
- 33:07Speaker 2: of Pat Sertain and the hiring of Lou Adams, I
- 33:09Speaker 2: don't know, but Jabir Rawls looks like a completely different
- 33:12Speaker 2: player under this defensive back coach versus the previous defensive
- 33:16Speaker 2: back coach. He looked like a guy that could be
- 33:19Speaker 2: a high draft pick and carry on that DBU mantra. Now,
- 33:23Speaker 2: with the inconsistencies that we've been showing in the The
- 33:26Speaker 2: wild part about it, he shows flashes right there.
- 33:28Speaker 3: He can do it.
- 33:28Speaker 2: The sack that he had on the quarterback. He shows flashes.
- 33:33Speaker 2: We just have to be consistent. If you want to
- 33:34Speaker 2: be a high draft pick, you want to be this, that,
- 33:38Speaker 2: and third as far as NFL, man. Consistency is key.
- 33:42Speaker 2: Making plays over and over consistently, that's going to get
- 33:45Speaker 2: you drafted. Not a few splash plays and then you
- 33:48Speaker 2: get killed on the remaining games.
- 33:50Speaker 1: Consistently.
- 33:51Speaker 2: Showing good tape consistently. That's something we haven't done. That's
- 33:54Speaker 2: something we haven't done at all, specifically.
- 33:56Speaker 1: Jabril Rawls, man.
- 33:57Speaker 2: He just wasn't good. Darryl and Mandrell. Are you guys
- 34:03Speaker 2: going to show up? You guys had one tackle apiece.
- 34:08Speaker 2: I forget which one it was, but I think it
- 34:10Speaker 2: was Mandrell after he was doing, you know, and one
- 34:15Speaker 2: mixtape stuff against SMU and that went viral.
- 34:19Speaker 1: That play went viral.
- 34:20Speaker 2: I think he went on social media, Instagram post a
- 34:23Speaker 2: note or something, stay on that side or whatever. Like, bro,
- 34:27Speaker 2: stay on that side. And you forget you was the
- 34:33Speaker 2: guy that entered the transfer portal and threatened to transfer
- 34:37Speaker 2: over bread, right? Let's call a spade a spade. I'm
- 34:42Speaker 2: not saying you're right or wrong for that. You had
- 34:45Speaker 2: a good freshman year just that and third, but you
- 34:46Speaker 2: went into the transfer portal, won a new bread, FSU
- 34:50Speaker 2: gave you the new money. You got to produce, man.
- 34:54Speaker 1: This ain't.
- 34:57Speaker 2: The days where you're just getting room and damn bored. Nah, bro,
- 35:02Speaker 2: you can't pay big damn money. Your salary is bigger
- 35:05Speaker 2: than 90% of the FSU fan base. Probably 95% of
- 35:11Speaker 2: the FSU fan base, you're making more money than. You're
- 35:14Speaker 2: not playing great. Be accountable and take accountability for it.
- 35:18Speaker 2: You lashing out the fans because they're telling the truth.
- 35:22Speaker 2: And then you go out of Bama and do the
- 35:23Speaker 2: same damn thing. So again, we got to get some
- 35:25Speaker 2: return on the investment. You guys got to lock in.
- 35:28Speaker 2: And so far, we haven't gotten a return on the
- 35:30Speaker 2: investment at all. Don't want to be all negative on defense.
- 35:34Speaker 2: Chris Jones.
- 35:37Speaker 1: You a dog, boy.
- 35:38Speaker 4: You one of the ones.
- 35:39Speaker 1: You fit in.
- 35:40Speaker 2: You look like one of them guys that could have
- 35:41Speaker 2: played within any era of FSU in the past. That
- 35:45Speaker 2: was respectable that Played how FSU should be played. You
- 35:51Speaker 2: look like one of those guys.
- 35:53Speaker 1: Respect, man. He was all over the field. Dog. Love
- 35:56Speaker 1: what you bring to the table. Great portal addition.
- 35:58Speaker 2: I said all season, I feel like he was probably
- 36:00Speaker 2: the most important portal addition. I think he's kind of
- 36:03Speaker 2: shown that with our issues at linebacker in the past.
- 36:07Speaker 2: And again, shout out to Ernie Sims as well, too.
- 36:09Speaker 2: Got to give him another shout out. One of the
- 36:10Speaker 2: best coaches on staff. I really feel like that room
- 36:12Speaker 2: has done a complete 180. From a play standpoint, energy standpoint,
- 36:16Speaker 2: attitude standpoint from last year to this year, going from
- 36:20Speaker 2: John Patuas to Ernie Sims, being 90 days.
- 36:23Speaker 1: So, shout out to Ernie.
- 36:24Speaker 4: C.J.
- 36:24Speaker 2: Richards, the safety, the FCS transfer, I think it's from
- 36:28Speaker 2: Illinois State. He played pretty good ball as well, too.
- 36:31Speaker 2: This is my last thing I'm going to do as
- 36:33Speaker 2: far as the defense, wrapping it up. If you give
- 36:36Speaker 2: up 50 points at Florida State, your ass should walk on.
- 36:40Speaker 1: Simple as that. If Florida State is giving 50.
- 36:43Speaker 2: Points in a game, that game, after that game, you
- 36:48Speaker 2: should figure out your own way home. Catch a bus
- 36:50Speaker 2: from Tuscaloosa to Tallahassee. Think about what the fuck happened there.
- 36:54Speaker 2: Whatever it may be, man. If you give a 50
- 36:58Speaker 2: at Florida State, man, you should be walking home. You
- 37:00Speaker 2: should be finding your own way home. And we'll leave
- 37:02Speaker 2: it at that, man. This defense has been underwhelming to
- 37:06Speaker 2: say the least. You would think going from year one
- 37:08Speaker 2: to year two in the defensive coordinator system, It'll be
- 37:11Speaker 2: more familiarity.
- 37:12Speaker 1: That type of deal looks better on field, but it's
- 37:17Speaker 1: a little worse.
- 37:20Speaker 2: Let's transition to the offense. Make sure you guys hit
- 37:24Speaker 2: that like and subscribe button if you haven't already. We're
- 37:27Speaker 2: getting that pretty decent. We've got like 572 in here,
- 37:30Speaker 2: 574 in here. That's viewing live. Appreciate you guys for
- 37:34Speaker 2: the support.
- 37:34Speaker 1: I know it's cool. combination of X and YouTube.
- 37:38Speaker 2: If you are on X, if I have 574 people
- 37:40Speaker 2: viewing here, I should have 574 likes, right? So if
- 37:43Speaker 2: you are on the Twitter portion of things, transition over
- 37:47Speaker 2: to the YouTube portion, hang out in the comment section
- 37:49Speaker 2: with us a little bit and we will go from there.
- 37:52Speaker 2: Show some love, hit some likes. I'm going to hit
- 37:54Speaker 2: the like button and again, subscribe to the channel if
- 37:57Speaker 2: you haven't already. I'm moving on to the offense. I
- 38:01Speaker 2: was actually shocked with their performance. I was really shocked
- 38:04Speaker 2: with their performance. We had 471 total yards of offense.
- 38:08Speaker 2: We were 8 for 15 on third downs. If you
- 38:11Speaker 2: told me that Mike Norville and Ashton Daniels in this
- 38:14Speaker 2: offense would score 36 points, I would say, okay, we
- 38:17Speaker 2: got a really good chance of winning this game. I
- 38:18Speaker 2: think pregame, if you listen to the video, I had
- 38:21Speaker 2: Bama winning I think 38-17. I think I had Bama
- 38:26Speaker 2: winning 38-17 or something along those lines. Again, if you
- 38:30Speaker 2: scored 36 points, if you told me At that point
- 38:32Speaker 2: in time, we scored 36 points. Okay, we could play
- 38:35Speaker 2: some damn ball and we have a really good chance
- 38:37Speaker 2: of winning this game, right? And the defense just let
- 38:41Speaker 2: him down. But Martin Revell, man, he was actually– he
- 38:44Speaker 2: was in his bag, man. It was some of the
- 38:46Speaker 2: best play calling I've seen from Mike since the 2022 year.
- 38:51Speaker 2: He really– he had a really– I think he had
- 38:53Speaker 2: a good showing from an offensive standpoint, from a play
- 38:56Speaker 2: calling standpoint. You can tell he really wanted this one
- 38:59Speaker 2: bad and put a solid game plan to attack them offensively.
- 39:03Speaker 2: I guess with everything negative that's going around the program,
- 39:06Speaker 2: I might say this could be a statement game for
- 39:07Speaker 2: him to keep his job or whatever. You can tell
- 39:12Speaker 2: he put in the work this week, so to speak,
- 39:15Speaker 2: for the game plan. Bama defense, they have been very
- 39:18Speaker 2: good thus far within the season. I know it was
- 39:20Speaker 2: only two games early on, but that's been.
- 39:22Speaker 1: One of the strengths is their defense.
- 39:24Speaker 5: Right?
- 39:25Speaker 2: And we pretty much exposed certain things. They had a
- 39:28Speaker 2: pretty good day offensively. Yeah, Alabama pretty much dominated Kentucky
- 39:34Speaker 2: from a defensive standpoint and did whatever they wanted to.
- 39:38Speaker 2: So I really like what I saw from that. And
- 39:40Speaker 2: we did all that with indecisive quarterback play.
- 39:45Speaker 4: That's the thing.
- 39:45Speaker 2: Like, we really could have had a fucking field day
- 39:47Speaker 2: on offense, like, We really could have had an all-time
- 39:50Speaker 2: day on offense. We did that with indecisive quarterback play.
- 39:54Speaker 2: Ashton Daniels left so much on the field. He left
- 39:58Speaker 2: so much on the field, so much on the field.
- 40:00Speaker 2: Ashton really could have had an all-time FSU quarterback performance
- 40:04Speaker 2: if he just had confidence and processed things a lot
- 40:06Speaker 2: faster than what he did. He really could have had
- 40:09Speaker 2: an all-time FSU performance. He could have had 400-plus yards passing.
- 40:14Speaker 2: four touchdowns, a few less interceptions, and he could have
- 40:17Speaker 2: had a lot more down rushing yards as well too.
- 40:19Speaker 2: Ashton really could have– he could have had a historic day,
- 40:24Speaker 2: so to speak, from an FSU standpoint. Could have got
- 40:27Speaker 2: a win against Alabama and could have put up some
- 40:29Speaker 2: really big-time numbers if he just trusted himself and had
- 40:34Speaker 2: confidence and processed things so fast. I forgot who's– it
- 40:38Speaker 2: was on Twitter. I forgot who posted it, but I
- 40:40Speaker 2: think Ashton Daniels– It's one of the worst. It's like
- 40:44Speaker 2: over three seconds in processing to get the ball out
- 40:47Speaker 2: when deciding what play.
- 40:50Speaker 1: He's going to make.
- 40:50Speaker 2: It's like three seconds. I forgot who posted my shot
- 40:52Speaker 2: to you guys. That was a really good observation. So
- 40:55Speaker 2: you combine that with a not so good offensive line
- 41:00Speaker 2: that's not really good in pass blocking situations, and that's
- 41:03Speaker 2: a recipe for disaster.
- 41:05Speaker 1: We came out tossing it early, too, and had early success.
- 41:08Speaker 2: It was clear that Bama was pretty much daring us
- 41:10Speaker 2: to– Daring us to throw and trying to stop the run.
- 41:15Speaker 2: And the receivers made them pay. It's what we've been
- 41:17Speaker 2: saying all year, right? We have the weapons at receiver.
- 41:21Speaker 2: SMU with so many players left on the field. New
- 41:23Speaker 2: Mexico State, it was definitely a lot of players left
- 41:25Speaker 2: on the field from a receiver standpoint.
- 41:28Speaker 1: Unfortunately, we really could have ate them up all night
- 41:30Speaker 1: passing the ball.
- 41:31Speaker 2: There's a few throws that Daniels didn't make through late, etc.
- 41:36Speaker 2: I don't know, it's just, was it the early interception
- 41:40Speaker 2: that kind of messed up his confidence? Through that one
- 41:42Speaker 2: pick earlier, the Bucs, it was a big play, too.
- 41:44Speaker 2: That play, the Bucs, could have been a touchdown for
- 41:47Speaker 2: Ashton Daniels if it had got a little bit higher. Now,
- 41:49Speaker 2: it was tip that line of scrimmage, but if you
- 41:50Speaker 2: get a little bit higher in that type of deal,
- 41:53Speaker 2: the Bucs is probably still running. But, yeah, that's my
- 41:58Speaker 2: biggest takeaway from Ashton Daniels, man. It's just, and I
- 42:01Speaker 2: tweeted this as well, too, from yesterday. I just want
- 42:05Speaker 2: to read the tweet. It kind of sums up a
- 42:07Speaker 2: lot from his running standpoint because I keep, I don't
- 42:10Speaker 2: get it because we've seen Ashton Daniels run the damn football. Stanford, Auburn,
- 42:15Speaker 2: seeing him run the football and be effective. We know
- 42:18Speaker 2: he's an athlete, but I just don't get it. This
- 42:24Speaker 2: is my tweet. Ashton, if you want to run the ball,
- 42:26Speaker 2: if you're going to run, actually try to run it.
- 42:30Speaker 2: If you're going to run the football, actually try to
- 42:32Speaker 2: run it. He gets to a situation where he's like double-dutch.
- 42:37Speaker 2: He's waiting to jump in and out. He doesn't know
- 42:39Speaker 2: what Go.
- 42:41Speaker 1: Go. And he showed it.
- 42:43Speaker 2: Like, the last touchdown he scored on that run when
- 42:46Speaker 2: he got to the edge and made the athlete to
- 42:48Speaker 2: play to stay in bounds and score the touchdown. Like,
- 42:51Speaker 2: that's all I'm asking for. That's literally all I'm asking
- 42:54Speaker 2: you to do. Take advantage of the legs.
- 42:57Speaker 1: Run.
- 42:59Speaker 2: It's too many situations where it was like, I forget
- 43:01Speaker 2: what play. It was like second and two, third and
- 43:03Speaker 2: two or something. We didn't even know converting because he
- 43:05Speaker 2: didn't take advantage of running. Got to the sideline, and
- 43:09Speaker 2: once it was time to pass the line of scrimmage
- 43:11Speaker 2: and it was time to commit to the run, he
- 43:14Speaker 2: braces himself for contact.
- 43:15Speaker 1: Like, you're 225, 230. Like, I don't get it.
- 43:18Speaker 3: Run.
- 43:19Speaker 1: You could have gotten the first down. Lower your head
- 43:21Speaker 1: a little bit.
- 43:21Speaker 2: Be more physical. The quarterback sneak he got was like
- 43:24Speaker 2: fourth and one. That shit was like pulling teeth. It
- 43:28Speaker 2: was tough to watch. So, I don't get it. We've
- 43:30Speaker 2: seen him do it before. He did it for that
- 43:32Speaker 2: last touchdown. Just have more confidence in yourself and make
- 43:36Speaker 2: the play. Your processing speed is way too slow when
- 43:40Speaker 2: it comes to these. And Mike Novell doesn't have a,
- 43:44Speaker 2: like his offensive game plan isn't predicated like post-offense where
- 43:48Speaker 2: you're going two, three different reads and that type of deal.
- 43:50Speaker 2: A lot of stuff is pretty much one read and
- 43:53Speaker 2: go or two reads and go and you hit your guy.
- 43:55Speaker 2: And it's there for you, but you got to trust
- 43:57Speaker 2: what you see and make the play. By the time
- 44:03Speaker 2: he actually decides to run, it's too late, and he
- 44:05Speaker 2: snails to the point instead of choosing to actually go,
- 44:07Speaker 2: which is just baffling to me. I'm not saying he's
- 44:10Speaker 2: Mike Vick, but again, he's definitely athletic enough to make
- 44:12Speaker 2: those plays because we've seen it before. Saw it last
- 44:15Speaker 2: night in that touchdown scramble he had. And that's been
- 44:24Speaker 2: there all season as well, too. Shout out to James Coleman, 36.
- 44:27Speaker 2: He tweeted something similar to this. I say Ashton Danch
- 44:31Speaker 2: probably hate condoms. He has a lot of kids because
- 44:33Speaker 2: he refuses to pull out. And that's true.
- 44:36Speaker 1: Keep them honest.
- 44:37Speaker 2: It's plenty damn times where the edge rusher, because what
- 44:41Speaker 2: we've seen on film, right?
- 44:43Speaker 1: Crashing down on Cromwell, crashing down.
- 44:46Speaker 2: It's so many reads where he could easily pull and
- 44:48Speaker 2: kept them honest and got positive yardage. You do that,
- 44:51Speaker 2: you pull a couple fucking times and get five to
- 44:54Speaker 2: six yards each because that's the minimum he could have got.
- 44:58Speaker 2: I guarantee those defensive ends are start playing that a
- 45:01Speaker 2: little bit different, a little bit more slower and letting
- 45:03Speaker 2: things develop. And that's, you can actually give it to
- 45:05Speaker 2: the damn running back. He can make, make things shake
- 45:08Speaker 2: and go from there. Like I said, I like what
- 45:12Speaker 2: I saw from the receiver. Deuce had a really dominant game,
- 45:15Speaker 2: kind of showed up and bounced back from the early issues.
- 45:18Speaker 2: And I only think it was early issues on his part.
- 45:20Speaker 2: You're just getting the fucking opportunities to get the damn ball, right?
- 45:22Speaker 2: The only issue I had with Deuce was that fourth
- 45:25Speaker 2: and two slant route. It was just bad out of
- 45:28Speaker 2: my opinion. You've got to be more aggressive for that
- 45:31Speaker 2: possession to get to your spot. You're 6'6, 230, 240.
- 45:35Speaker 1: Use your body. Be physical. You've got to want it
- 45:38Speaker 1: more to get to that spot. It wasn't a bad.
- 45:42Speaker 2: Throw by Ashton Daniels at that point in time. It
- 45:46Speaker 2: was more so a timing thing and then– more so
- 45:49Speaker 2: a timing thing and the Dukes just let it receive
- 45:52Speaker 2: or let the defensive back pretty much run around for
- 45:54Speaker 2: him and beat him to that spot. You've got to
- 45:56Speaker 2: be more aggressive to get there. But really good job
- 45:59Speaker 2: from the receivers. Like what I saw from Deuce, like
- 46:00Speaker 2: I said, offensive line really just isn't it. It's not
- 46:05Speaker 2: that good. They weren't atrocious last night. It was a
- 46:08Speaker 2: combination of the quarterback play as well. But we don't
- 46:10Speaker 2: really create push in the running game. Pass protection was okay,
- 46:17Speaker 2: not great. I think the pass protection was a combination
- 46:20Speaker 2: of them playing bad in certain situations and the quarterback
- 46:22Speaker 2: just holding the ball too long in certain situations. But, um,
- 46:27Speaker 2: Just can't create push like that long run, that long
- 46:31Speaker 2: run for like 27, 30 yards that Cromart had. We
- 46:33Speaker 2: bounced it outside. It was literally nothing inside. There was
- 46:36Speaker 2: no push up front from the offensive line. It was
- 46:38Speaker 2: just Cromart doing what he does and being a good
- 46:40Speaker 2: running back and creating something out of nothing. That's pretty
- 46:42Speaker 2: much been the answer with our running backs, right? That's
- 46:46Speaker 2: pretty much been the answer with our running backs. Singleton
- 46:48Speaker 2: and Cromart, this, that, and third, those guys being athletes
- 46:52Speaker 2: and making something out of nothing. Last take, I want
- 46:57Speaker 2: to talk about it from an offensive standpoint. It goes
- 46:59Speaker 2: back to recruiting GM and allocation money and that type
- 47:05Speaker 2: of deal. I know Sam Singleton got hurt on that
- 47:07Speaker 2: long play, rolled up his English at the third. I
- 47:11Speaker 2: hope it's not too serious. Hopefully, he is able to
- 47:14Speaker 2: bounce back. Trey Wisner, the money we spent on Trey Wisner,
- 47:19Speaker 2: the reported money that we spent on Trey Wisner to
- 47:22Speaker 2: be running back three and to get Limited down reps.
- 47:25Speaker 1: He got one carry in the game.
- 47:27Speaker 2: Only came in the game at that point in time
- 47:29Speaker 2: because Sam did get hurt. The money we paid could
- 47:35Speaker 2: have went to a lot more places, man. We could
- 47:37Speaker 2: have been a lot more smarter with that money. Running
- 47:39Speaker 2: back wasn't a big need, especially when you're recruiting a
- 47:41Speaker 2: guy like Cromar, right? You recruit him, a national recruit,
- 47:44Speaker 2: went into his true sophomore year. You flip him from Georgia.
- 47:47Speaker 2: You pay him a lot of money. You want to
- 47:48Speaker 2: give him the ball, right? He's going to be your
- 47:50Speaker 2: bell cow type of back. He's going to be the
- 47:52Speaker 2: guy that you lean on heavily.
- 47:54Speaker 1: You pay.
- 47:56Speaker 2: Essentially running back one money to Trey Wiseman when he
- 47:58Speaker 2: ends up being running back three.
- 47:59Speaker 1: And that money could have been allocated to different spots,
- 48:01Speaker 1: like I stated.
- 48:03Speaker 2: But at the same time, I say that, but would
- 48:06Speaker 2: we have taken advantage of it and actually.
- 48:08Speaker 1: Utilized it correctly? Probably not.
- 48:12Speaker 2: We talk about quarterback and the money we spend for
- 48:14Speaker 2: quarterback and the guys who could have had that quarterback
- 48:17Speaker 2: if we paid a little bit more money. We could
- 48:19Speaker 2: have got more help on the offense line, defense line,
- 48:22Speaker 2: that type of deal with that money. So I'm not
- 48:23Speaker 2: going to say from a running back perspective, You pay
- 48:26Speaker 2: a hefty penny for a guy, you pay running back
- 48:30Speaker 2: one money rather for a guy who even coming in,
- 48:33Speaker 2: nobody really thought would be running back one. We thought
- 48:35Speaker 2: he'd be within the rotation as far as one and two.
- 48:38Speaker 2: And then Sam pretty much said, nah, we'll put down
- 48:40Speaker 2: the back burner. Had an excellent spring, excellent fall camp
- 48:44Speaker 2: with Trey being out due to injuries and pretty much
- 48:46Speaker 2: became running back two. So I really think that was
- 48:48Speaker 2: an issue as far as paying him that type of money.
- 48:51Speaker 2: We could have been smarter in allegating those funds because
- 48:55Speaker 2: you're paying a hefty.
- 48:56Speaker 1: Penny running back and i'm not gonna say running back
- 48:59Speaker 1: one money it's like.
- 49:01Speaker 2: Running back one money plus a little bit extra and
- 49:04Speaker 2: we're in a situation that we're in now um as
- 49:06Speaker 2: far as that not getting any reps at all pretty
- 49:09Speaker 2: much and just coming in due to injury that's all
- 49:12Speaker 2: i have from offensive standpoint again i really have too
- 49:14Speaker 2: much to say from offense i like what i saw
- 49:17Speaker 2: um and it could have been a lot better if
- 49:19Speaker 2: the quarterback just trusted what he was doing in a
- 49:22Speaker 2: certain situation, just let that shit rip and let it go.
- 49:24Speaker 1: Let it go.
- 49:26Speaker 2: But it was a step in the right direction, especially
- 49:28Speaker 2: getting the ball to our receivers. But 36 points, if
- 49:34Speaker 2: you're going to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, score 36 points, As a
- 49:37Speaker 2: Florida State Seminole, I expect you to win due to
- 49:40Speaker 2: your defense not being so bad.
- 49:42Speaker 1: But that just wasn't the case.
- 49:44Speaker 2: I'm going to go to my last take before we
- 49:48Speaker 2: open the lines up for calls and that type of deal. Again,
- 49:52Speaker 2: make sure you guys hit that like and subscribe button.
- 49:55Speaker 2: We've got close to 700 people in here. It should
- 49:57Speaker 2: have close to 700 likes. Again, if you're viewing on X,
- 50:00Speaker 2: mention it over to the YouTube portion. Show a little
- 50:02Speaker 2: bit of love. Again, I want to give one.
- 50:04Speaker 1: More shout out to our sponsor. ClickSpin.
- 50:08Speaker 2: Tap in with ClickSpin, man. ClickSpin.com. Email it as far
- 50:12Speaker 2: as the website. Email address hello at ClickSpin.com. MasterCard built
- 50:17Speaker 2: for any type of business. Spences, traveling, lodging, entertainment, shipping,
- 50:21Speaker 2: you name it. ClickSpin has you covered.
- 50:24Speaker 1: Tap in. Shout out to my guy, Chris. FSU alum,
- 50:31Speaker 1: owner of the company. Tap in with ClickSpin.
- 50:35Speaker 2: All right, let's get into my last little take before
- 50:38Speaker 2: we open the phone calls up. And that's, I guess
- 50:40Speaker 2: you guys have been hearing the national news, so to speak,
- 50:43Speaker 2: this week with Jimbo Fisher, right? So I kind of
- 50:46Speaker 2: want to give you guys what I know on the situation.
- 50:48Speaker 2: And I don't want to give out too much as
- 50:50Speaker 2: far as what I do know. I also don't want
- 50:53Speaker 2: to come off as a know-it-all or anything like that.
- 50:57Speaker 2: But I will say, without saying too much, the national
- 51:00Speaker 2: media is very slow on this. this news as far
- 51:04Speaker 2: as Jimbo has been going around from my perspective, what
- 51:07Speaker 2: I've gathered and my sources and people I talk to,
- 51:10Speaker 2: this has been going around for like a week and
- 51:11Speaker 2: a half as far as the noise around Jimbo. Of course,
- 51:16Speaker 2: it's already been reported, but can absolutely say wants the job.
- 51:19Speaker 2: There's a lot of big boosters in high places that
- 51:23Speaker 2: want him to return as well too, right? And there's
- 51:25Speaker 2: some boosters that don't want him to return, some fans
- 51:27Speaker 2: that don't want him to return due to How things
- 51:30Speaker 2: ended at Florida State, of course, naturally, it was a
- 51:32Speaker 2: bad breakup.
- 51:33Speaker 1: And, of course, how.
- 51:34Speaker 2: Things ended at Texas A & M with all the
- 51:37Speaker 2: funds and resources that he did have, it didn't work
- 51:40Speaker 2: out at Texas A & M. But some things I've
- 51:44Speaker 2: been able to confirm in regards to the situation, the
- 51:48Speaker 2: money would definitely be out. The money would definitely be out.
- 51:51Speaker 2: If Jimbo is the guy, a lot of boosters are
- 51:54Speaker 2: ready to come back and open up the checkbooks to
- 51:57Speaker 2: give him whatever he needs.
- 51:58Speaker 1: He will be willing to take less money. Will be
- 52:01Speaker 1: willing to take less money.
- 52:02Speaker 2: I mean, we all know the $ 70 million deal he
- 52:06Speaker 2: got from Texas A & M, fully guaranteed, so he's
- 52:09Speaker 2: still getting paid that money. He'll take $ 5 to $ 7
- 52:12Speaker 2: million from FSU. He's still getting $ 12 to $ 13 million
- 52:17Speaker 2: overall if you include the buyout from Texas A & M.
- 52:22Speaker 2: He will have a big budget for staff. He will
- 52:25Speaker 2: have a very big budget for staff. That's something he's
- 52:30Speaker 2: That's something he's making an emphasis on as far as
- 52:32Speaker 2: having the big money for staff.
- 52:34Speaker 1: I want to give out.
- 52:39Speaker 2: Some heavy-hitter names that's being floated around as far as
- 52:41Speaker 2: coordinators that could come on with Jimbo Fisher. And again, these,
- 52:47Speaker 2: I don't want to put on some all-world insider this, that,
- 52:51Speaker 2: and third, man. But certain sources I do have, that's
- 52:55Speaker 2: pretty much good money on certain things. And this is
- 52:57Speaker 2: definitely good money. You know, the main question Florida State
- 53:01Speaker 2: fans have, OC, play calling, that type of deal. Will
- 53:05Speaker 2: he still be over play calling or will he be
- 53:07Speaker 2: the CEO and running the entire program type of deal?
- 53:12Speaker 2: He will take a step back from play calling. That's
- 53:15Speaker 2: why this officer coordinator that could possibly come on to
- 53:18Speaker 2: him is a big part of the contingent as far
- 53:22Speaker 2: as a plan to get him on. Some big names,
- 53:25Speaker 2: like I said, that's Manfred Reiner's coordinator. Can verify through
- 53:28Speaker 2: multiple sources as well too that he is already starting
- 53:32Speaker 2: to reach out to high schools and that type of
- 53:34Speaker 2: deal in recruiting fertile areas for FSU. Just checking the temperature,
- 53:39Speaker 2: getting those relationships back rolling. South Florida, Georgia, spoke with
- 53:44Speaker 2: South Florida coaches, spoken with some Georgia coaches, some coaches
- 53:48Speaker 2: within the Central Florida area as well that can confirm that, hey,
- 53:53Speaker 2: he's been reaching out, trying to get the lay of
- 53:56Speaker 2: the land a little bit, continue those relationships, that type
- 53:59Speaker 2: of deal. So that being said, Jim O'Fishery is 100%
- 54:02Speaker 2: a real option for FSU. Has been a real option. Well,
- 54:06Speaker 2: it's always been a real option, but the smoker-browned it
- 54:10Speaker 2: has gotten a lot thicker within the last week and
- 54:13Speaker 2: a half or so. The national media is pretty much
- 54:15Speaker 2: slowing this. We're reporting this the last few days and
- 54:18Speaker 2: kind of getting that out. Well, folks, that's actually, I
- 54:22Speaker 2: guess you could say, close within the program, close to
- 54:24Speaker 2: the program, have kind of known that this has been
- 54:27Speaker 2: something that.
- 54:28Speaker 1: Is a real....
- 54:31Speaker 2: Serious what's the word I want to use a real
- 54:37Speaker 2: it's legs to it let's put it that way it's
- 54:44Speaker 2: real smoke to it it's an absolute chance that it
- 54:47Speaker 2: possibly can happen both sides have been talking both sides
- 54:50Speaker 2: aren't interested let's leave it at that as far as
- 54:55Speaker 2: how people feel about Jimbo coming back in that type
- 54:57Speaker 2: of deal and what he can bring to the table
- 54:58Speaker 2: good and.
- 54:59Speaker 1: Bad 60 years old, which isn't old.
- 55:03Speaker 2: I know people feel like they want to have the,
- 55:05Speaker 2: you hire your next coach, you want him to be
- 55:07Speaker 2: there for the next 10 to 15 to 20 years.
- 55:09Speaker 1: You don't need that with Jimbo.
- 55:11Speaker 2: He could be here three or four or five years,
- 55:14Speaker 2: set the stage, rebuild the program for the next guy.
- 55:18Speaker 2: You could have a head coach and waiting situation as well, too.
- 55:21Speaker 2: That's something that's been floating around, kind of similar to
- 55:23Speaker 2: what Jimbo had under Bobby Bowden.
- 55:26Speaker 1: High-profile coordinator, defense, offense, come in and beat you. give
- 55:30Speaker 1: them a healthy payday, and they come in and be
- 55:33Speaker 1: a possible.
- 55:35Speaker 2: Bridge gap in a few years once the program is
- 55:38Speaker 2: back on, proper footing, proper resources, proper recruiting from a
- 55:41Speaker 2: talent standpoint and all that type of deal. You know
- 55:45Speaker 2: what he brings to the table as far as recruiting.
- 55:47Speaker 2: I mean, we know that. You know he's going to
- 55:49Speaker 2: be a hell of a recruiter. He's going to get
- 55:51Speaker 2: into these living rooms. He's going to get players. He's
- 55:53Speaker 2: going to get players in certain areas the FSU needs
- 55:55Speaker 2: to get players in. Great relationship in South Florida. Great
- 55:58Speaker 2: relationship in South Florida. something that Mike Norvell, even though
- 56:02Speaker 2: we've recruited South Florida, he's never really.
- 56:07Speaker 1: Coming in. He never had those relationships to begin with.
- 56:09Speaker 1: He didn't really build on.
- 56:11Speaker 2: It by hiring multiple guys that's familiar within the area
- 56:15Speaker 2: and guys that are aggressive within the area. Jimbo is
- 56:18Speaker 2: a guy that's already familiar with the area, aggressive, knows
- 56:21Speaker 2: how that goes.
- 56:22Speaker 1: South Florida coaches trust Jimbo. They trust him.
- 56:25Speaker 2: They'll send their guys to Jimbo easily due to past
- 56:30Speaker 2: relationships and how you treat the players. Go back to
- 56:34Speaker 2: all the Florida State guys from South Florida that went
- 56:39Speaker 2: big time or that produced big time for Florida State
- 56:43Speaker 2: from a Jimbo Fisher standpoint, Dalvin Cook, Devontae Friedman.
- 56:47Speaker 1: LaMarcus Joyner.
- 56:49Speaker 2: Names go on and on and on as far as
- 56:50Speaker 2: players from the area that we recruited and became big
- 56:54Speaker 2: time players for and even going to Texas A & M.
- 56:57Speaker 2: He went down there and recruited guys, and those guys
- 56:59Speaker 2: are going to be first-round draft picks as well. So
- 57:02Speaker 2: you bring that to the table. Coaching standpoint, just from
- 57:06Speaker 2: an organizational standpoint, it's a lot better. What I do question,
- 57:09Speaker 2: what I do, I will have a question if we do,
- 57:11Speaker 2: if Jimbo Fisher is the guy. The main question I
- 57:14Speaker 2: will have is probably my main question would probably be,
- 57:28Speaker 2: how things are handled from a, I don't want to
- 57:33Speaker 2: say discipline, a program structural standpoint. Because at a certain point,
- 57:38Speaker 2: you guys know that culture, so to speak, it left
- 57:43Speaker 2: during the tail end of his FSU days. It left
- 57:46Speaker 2: him tail end of his FSU days. Can you get
- 57:48Speaker 2: that mojo back and then build that proper culture that
- 57:51Speaker 2: you had with Marcus Joyner, Selva Smith, Timmy Jernigan, Jameis Wilson, this, that,
- 57:57Speaker 2: and the third? When you get that back going, he
- 57:59Speaker 2: should be fine. But again, I do think he's motivated
- 58:01Speaker 2: for sure. He's sat back and had time to realize
- 58:06Speaker 2: mistakes he's made at Florida State and mistakes he's made
- 58:08Speaker 2: at Texas A & M to kind of be better
- 58:10Speaker 2: for it. And this is pretty much all he asked
- 58:11Speaker 2: for as far as Florida State from a resource standpoint.
- 58:15Speaker 1: He's been asking for this stuff.
- 58:16Speaker 2: The stuff we're currently getting now, Jimbo asked for this
- 58:19Speaker 2: shit 10 plus.
- 58:20Speaker 1: Years ago, and we're just now getting it.
- 58:23Speaker 2: Better late than never, but that's why I feel like
- 58:25Speaker 2: from a We're trying to reorganize everything from the top
- 58:28Speaker 2: bottom to be a competent running organization. And that's exactly
- 58:33Speaker 2: what he wants. He can step in and be a
- 58:34Speaker 2: similar transition to ACC. Now, I do think he can
- 58:37Speaker 2: win eight to nine games, compete for the ACC championship
- 58:40Speaker 2: for sure. You got Clemson on the downfall. I think
- 58:42Speaker 2: they're definitely done. They did come back and win against
- 58:45Speaker 2: North Carolina. Shout out to Dabo and those guys for fighting.
- 58:48Speaker 2: But Clemson, I feel like, is on the downfall. Miami is,
- 58:50Speaker 2: of course, up. SMU is a good player within the
- 58:53Speaker 2: ACC Conference, Louisville, et cetera. It's not world leaders that FSU,
- 58:57Speaker 2: without a competent leadership at the top and proper backing,
- 59:03Speaker 2: can't compensate for and be effective with. So again, that's
- 59:06Speaker 2: my spiel on Jimbo Fisher. It's absolutely true as far
- 59:09Speaker 2: as the smoke that you've been hearing. The national media
- 59:12Speaker 2: is kind of late to the party. This thing has
- 59:15Speaker 2: been trickling for a while now, starting to reach out
- 59:18Speaker 2: to figure out things, reaching out to coaches in different
- 59:21Speaker 2: areas as far as from a recruiting standpoint. So it'll
- 59:24Speaker 2: be interesting to see how things play out over the
- 59:26Speaker 2: next few weeks as far as from an FSU standpoint, wins, losses.
- 59:29Speaker 2: We'll see how things go. We'll see how things go.
- 59:32Speaker 2: That's pretty much all I have on that general official spirit.
- 59:34Speaker 2: Wanted to address that because it has been national news,
- 59:37Speaker 2: national headlines.
- 59:39Speaker 1: Can confirm that the smoke is real and the smoke
- 59:41Speaker 1: has been going on for a while. This is nothing new.
- 59:46Speaker 1: The wheels on the bus are really just on a
- 59:50Speaker 1: turn now.
- 59:50Speaker 2: So we'll see a lot more coming in the coming
- 59:52Speaker 2: days as far as this is what we get from it. Again,
- 59:55Speaker 2: make sure you guys hit that like and subscribe button.
- 59:57Speaker 2: You want to open the phone lines up. for callers
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: to go ahead and take us home and end the show.
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: We got close to 800 people in here viewing from
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: Twitter and Next, 791. Make sure you guys hit that
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: like button and subscribe. We should have like 791 likes
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: over here. So guys, please show a little bit of
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: love if you're viewing on the Twitter side of things.
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: Come on over to the YouTube side. We do have
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: the call-in portion, so let's tap in.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: But yeah, that Jimbo Fisher's smoke is absolutely real.
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: I'm looking at it reading the comments. I want to
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: speak about this coach as well. Who said Manny Diaz
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: can't recruit? Let's talk about Manny Diaz for a second.
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: You guys got to let go of that Miami shit.
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: Please let go of that Miami shit. Let it go.
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: What he did at Miami, what? Five, six years ago,
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: Manny was a first-time head coach. Let's talk about the
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: facts as far as Manny Diaz. I want to speak
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: about this and then let you guys build in. If
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: you guys do want to join the call-in portion of
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: the show, if not, we'll end the show after this field.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: But I do want to say this. Let's talk about
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: Manny real quick. Manny Diaz was a first-time head coach
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: at the University of Miami. That's a fact.
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: First-time head coach. Manny was initially supposed to take the
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: Temple head coaching job, which he should have did.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: G5.
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: Get your training wheels under you. Learn how to run
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: a program. Mark Ritt ended up retiring abruptly, right? So
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: he ended up being the Miami head coach. He's the
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: Miami head coach for three years. Let me put this
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: up right now. He's the Miami head coach for three.
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: Years, right?
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: Miami Hurricanes did not back Manny at all. The Miami
- 1:01:54Speaker 2: Hurricanes did not back Manny at all from a recruiting standpoint,
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: from a financial standpoint. Once Mario Cristobal is hired, the
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: floodgates open for Miami from a money standpoint.
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: All right, cool. So you're fired from a job. How
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: do you respond from being fired from a job?
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: There's value in failure if you learn from your failures, right?
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: So Manny goes to Penn State, becomes a defensive coordinator.
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: He was at Miami for three years. He went six
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: and seven his first year. 8-3 his third year, his
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: second year, and 7-5 his last year. He was fired
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: after the Florida State game. So he was 21-15 at Miami.
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: He goes to Penn State, becomes a defensive coordinator under Franklin,
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: who was a really good head coach in my opinion.
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: You learn from Franklin, right, as a defensive coordinator. You
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: recruit elite at Penn State. He was recruiting good at Miami, too.
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: I'm going to go through his recruiting classes at Miami
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: just to name a few guys.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: But, um.
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: Matter of fact, I'm going to pull up his recruiting
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: classes right now.
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: So you go to wherever the fuck I just said.
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: You go to Penn State and be a defensive coordinator, right?
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: Put out great defenses at Penn State. Great defenses. You
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: go to Duke and you become the head coach. You
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: go to Duke and you become the head coach, right?
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: You go to Duke and become the head coach.
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: Your first.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: Sorry, my apologies. You go to Duke, you end up
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: being the head coach, right? Your first year at Duke,
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: and this is Duke.
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: You bring in Murphy, the quarterback Murphy from Texas. You
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: go out and bring in a big-time quarter quarterback from Texas, right?
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: You go bring in Murphy. You go 9-4... You go
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: 9-4 your first year at Duke.
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: Duke. You're 9-4 at fucking Duke. You go 9-4 your
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: first year at Duke.
- 1:04:03Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: Murphy really wasn't good at Duke. He wasn't great at Duke.
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: That defense kind of carried him. So what you do?
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: Your second year, you go in the portal again. And
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: you go get what? Mensa.
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: Probably one of the best quarterback portals in one of
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: the best quarterbacks in the portal at that point in time.
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: You go do that, right? You win nine games again
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: with this quarterback. And you win the ACC. Bro, you
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: win the ACC at Duke. You win the ACC at Duke.
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: You win the ACC at Duke.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: Duke.
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: Elko, a good coach at Texas A & M, he
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: never won the ACC at Duke. Riley Leonard, he never
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: did that. You win nine games back-to-back at Duke.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: Okay?
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: Your quarterback on the last day, your quarterback and your
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: best receivers, Your quarterback and your best receiver on the
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: last fucking day that the transfer portal is open. The
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: very last day. The very last day the transfer portal
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: is open. Your quarterback goes to Miami. Your best receiver
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: follows him.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: What do you do? Okay, cool.
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: You don't have time to really evaluate and bring in
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: another quarterback within the portal. So you kind of scramble
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: last minute, bring in a quarterback. And what do you do?
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: You're 3-0. You're 3-0.
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: You're 3-0 the start of the year at Duke. We're
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: talking about a guy that's 21-9 at Duke in three
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: years with an ACC championship. I seen him come and
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: talk about spending. They're spending less money at Duke than
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: they are at Florida State. From an NIL standpoint, way
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: less money at Duke than you're spending at Florida State.
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: And you're getting a way better product at Duke.
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: Duke!
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: Than you are at Florida State.
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: So, again, bro, stop talking about this whole Manny Diaz
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: situation as far as how it played out at Miami. Like,
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: I understand we're rivals in that type of deal, and
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: it's not going to be the quote-unquote sexy Harry because
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: we're going to be trolled by hurricanes or whatever. Man,
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: who gives a fuck about that bullshit, man? Like, this
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: dude can coach, bro. And, again, it's value in failure
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: when you learn from your failures, right? He clearly learned
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: from his failures at Miami as a first-time head coach. So,
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: someone spoke about recruiting.
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: He can't recruit. I just gave you examples of the
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: motherfucker recruiting that Duke.
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Makai Jones, our starting safety. He's a true sophomore.
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: Guess where he came from?
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: Duke.
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: Guess who recruited him?
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: Manny.
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: Played a hell of a good ball for Duke last
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: year as a true freshman.
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: But just some of the names that Manny has recruited.
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: Leonard Taylor, five-star from Miami. Leonard Taylor, five-star from Miami.
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: James Williams, another five-star safety from Miami that was pretty
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: much going to Georgia at that point in time. Manny
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: Diaz got him to commit to the Miami Hurricanes. And again,
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: this is before the big-time NIL packages that, you know,
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: these guys were getting at that point in time.
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: Forgive me, guys.
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: I'm doing this show on the fly. It's going through 247,
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: that type of deal. Jeff Thomas was a receiver there
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: that played pretty good football. Mike Carley, a receiver there
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: that played pretty good football.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: Four-star, four-star.
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: A bunch of four-stars. What's the linebacker that FSU was?
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: Wesley Basaint. He was the guy that many recruited him
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: for the most part and got him to commit. He
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: was an FSU and Miami battle for Wesley Basaint. He
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: pretty much recruited Wesley Bustain all the way up until
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: Mario came in and got him that position.
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: But, again, also, we used to make fun of this shit, too.
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: Manny was one of the first motherfuckers to take advantage
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: of the portal.
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: He was the first motherfucker to take advantage of the portal.
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: The first. De'Aaron King. Remember De'Aaron King? He almost got
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: Jalen Hurst as well to come to Miami, too. So, again.
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: All this talk about Manny. He was a.
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: First-year head coach, bro. A first-year head coach. I'm not
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: holding nobody against him as far as being a first-year
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: head coach. You go 21-15 in Miami with lack of resources.
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: Lack of resources. He wasn't perfect at Miami. I'm not
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: saying that. He wasn't perfect at all. 21-15, lack of resources.
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: You hire fucking Mario Cristobal, not all the money is
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: open at Miami. Not all the money is open at Miami.
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: But again, he was a young head coach who should
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: have never been the Miami Hurricanes head coach in the
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: first place. pretty much got that job due to the
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: situation that played out with Mark Rick retiring early.
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: Initially he was supposed to take the Temple job and
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: go from there.
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: So again, you're 21-9 at Duke in three years. You
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: have three different starting quarterbacks in three years. Three different
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: starting quarterbacks. He showed in those years he could be
- 1:09:17Speaker 2: effective in getting guys out of the transfer portal for less. Again, bro,
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: I get it. I get it because we're rivals with Miami.
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: You guys saw that firsthand, how it played out with
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: him going 21-15 in Miami. First head coaching job again,
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: but again, it's value and failure when you learn from
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: those mistakes.
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: Goes to Penn State.
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: He's under James Franklin, a really good head coach, mind
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: paying for a few years, put out really good defenses,
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: go to Duke. Fucking talk about Duke, bro. You go
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: to Duke and you win nine games, two years in
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: a row, currently three years in a row, ACC championship.
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: And Miami took your quarterback, the fucking last minute of
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: the transfer portal. And what you do, you pivot from
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: that and you still play winning football. So again, I'm
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: a fan of Manny, what he's done. I'm not, I'm
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: not a, a Florida State fan that just look at
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: rivalry shit and that type of deal, I'm looking at
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: it a lot deeper. So I don't think Manny would
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: be a bad hire at all, man. Like, I don't
- 1:10:12Speaker 2: understand that. Like, we're not looking at the facts. All right,
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: that's my whole Manny Diaz field. I'm sorry I kind
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: of went out on a little tangent on that. But
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: all the beef with Manny, bro, like this isn't 2018,
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: his first coaching job. This isn't that. This guy has
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: grown a lot since then. All right, let's open up
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: the phone calls. Who we got first?
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: We got Coy. Coy, what's good, bro?
- 1:10:35Speaker 3: What's going on, bro?
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: Chillin', chillin', talk to me. What you got? You there? Hey,
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: you hear me? Yeah, I hear you.
- 1:10:48Speaker 3: You hear me?
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:10:51Speaker 3: All right, all right.
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I think we lost you again. You're kind of
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: going in and out, bro.
- 1:10:59Speaker 6: Yeah, 2 and 10 at Florida State.
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: It's a ridiculous name.
- 1:11:04Speaker 3: Everybody talk about the 3-3-5. I don't see Tony. He
- 1:11:07Speaker 3: don't be running it on base down, like on run down.
- 1:11:10Speaker 6: He switch up front.
- 1:11:11Speaker 3: I've seen him run a 4-2-5. I've seen him run
- 1:11:13Speaker 3: a 4-3.
- 1:11:14Speaker 6: I mean, it's just the personnel. You running that 3-3-5,
- 1:11:20Speaker 6: you need a big zero tech. And, you know what
- 1:11:22Speaker 6: I mean, you need linebacker play, man. And, you know,
- 1:11:25Speaker 6: and that's kind of like for smaller school that can't
- 1:11:28Speaker 6: really get great big body defensive tackles. you know, for
- 1:11:32Speaker 6: us to run that. I feel we should run more
- 1:11:34Speaker 6: of an even front. But it's just like, man, I
- 1:11:38Speaker 6: don't know, man. You give up 50 points.
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: I mean, I.
- 1:11:42Speaker 6: Don't know what to say, man. It just needs to
- 1:11:45Speaker 6: be done, man. It needs to be done.
- 1:11:48Speaker 3: It's over with. You know?
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: It's over with. No, I'm with you, man. I'm with you.
- 1:11:53Speaker 4: Like I said.
- 1:11:54Speaker 3: Me personally, I....
- 1:11:58Speaker 6: I would like to go back to Jimbo Mead personally
- 1:12:00Speaker 6: because he done been done it.
- 1:12:01Speaker 4: He know what it look like.
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 1:12:03Speaker 6: As far as the recruiting, South Georgia, South Florida, getting
- 1:12:08Speaker 6: them boys from down south, even some Central Florida. I mean,
- 1:12:11Speaker 6: we need a staple here in Florida. Mike can't recruit, man.
- 1:12:16Speaker 6: Mike can't recruit. Mike is a good X and O's
- 1:12:19Speaker 6: guy as far as maybe offense when he be in
- 1:12:22Speaker 6: his bag, but he got to be motivated to.
- 1:12:24Speaker 3: Be in his bag. And right now he look like And,
- 1:12:28Speaker 3: you know, he look like he know it's over.
- 1:12:30Speaker 4: You know what I mean?
- 1:12:30Speaker 6: And it's the same rhetoric over and over again, same
- 1:12:33Speaker 6: coach talk. But it should have been over, man. Ain't
- 1:12:36Speaker 6: no way you go 2-10 at Florida State and keep
- 1:12:39Speaker 6: a job.
- 1:12:40Speaker 3: I don't know what's going on, man.
- 1:12:41Speaker 6: You know, what's your outlook on it like.
- 1:12:44Speaker 4: That, you know?
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: Well, I think he's definitely, I think the right is
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: definitely on the wall.
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: Yeah, I think the right is definitely on the wall.
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: As far as going 2-10, I do think in a
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: Perfect situation. He would have absolutely been fired, but you've
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: got to realize, too, that's literally the following year after
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: that huge-ass contract we gave him. So it was pretty
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: much impossible at that point in time. Five and seven,
- 1:13:11Speaker 2: especially after Stanford, you've got to make that call, in
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: my opinion, to move on.
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: And, of course, you have the results you have now.
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: It's going to be interesting to see how these next
- 1:13:19Speaker 2: few games play out because I feel like if we
- 1:13:22Speaker 2: play to how we played yesterday, especially from an offensive standpoint,
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: I think we could probably go 500 within this ACC stretch, right?
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: I think we beat Central Arkansas. I think we could
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: possibly beat Virginia. I think we could do that. I
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: think we lose to Louisville, lose to Miami, and I
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: think we beat Clemson. So at that point in time,
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: you're going to be 500, right? We're one and two, three.
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: You really think we could beat Clemson? Oh, yeah, I do.
- 1:13:47Speaker 3: I do.
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: Now, Clemson did look a lot– I didn't watch– Clemson
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: looked like trash, but– They do.
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: They do. Bro, they look trash. Let's keep it real.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: I understand we look a certain way, but them boys
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: look really bad.
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: I will say I didn't watch that fourth quarter for
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: Clemson due to the rain when our game started, so
- 1:14:05Speaker 2: I didn't see their comeback. But I do think the
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: best case scenario is us going 500 in that stretch.
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: That's the best case scenario. I can see us.
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: Going fucking 0-4 doing that stretch as well, 2-0 or
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: 1-3 doing that stretch, just depending on how these guys play.
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: Like you said, we tend to get up for certain
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: games against Alabama, whatever, whatever, and then we'll play.
- 1:14:30Speaker 3: Right, right.
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: Now, go ahead. What you got, bro?
- 1:14:34Speaker 3: Right. It's too inconsistent, man.
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the thing. Too inconsistent.
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: So certain games we'll get up for and play, right?
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: Then there's certain ACC games like that Friday night in Louisville.
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: I can see us getting. Yeah, Corey, you're kind of
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: going in and out, bro. We might have to transition, man.
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: It's kind of tough hearing you.
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: My bad, bro. Appreciate you, man. Sorry about that. It
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: was always a good conversation, but it was kind of
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: tough getting you in and out. Ronald, what you got?
- 1:15:02Speaker 4: You on, bro? Can you hear me? Yes, sir.
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: I hear you pretty good.
- 1:15:06Speaker 4: Okay, yeah.
- 1:15:08Speaker 3: Man, first of all, I'm so glad my cousin had
- 1:15:13Speaker 3: a wedding yesterday. And it started at 4. And I'm
- 1:15:17Speaker 3: sitting there with the earbuds in. They were eating vows,
- 1:15:21Speaker 3: you know, the after party. And we had after the reception.
- 1:15:25Speaker 3: So I sneak away. I'm trying to watch the game.
- 1:15:28Speaker 3: And it was an open bar, man. And I needed every.
- 1:15:31Speaker 4: Bit of it. I'm still recovering. After a week, listen.
- 1:15:37Speaker 3: I was like, I'm so glad it's an open bar.
- 1:15:39Speaker 3: Because I got a couple of cuts for the state
- 1:15:41Speaker 3: fans up here in Greenville. We just sitting around. At first.
- 1:15:45Speaker 3: And it's crazy. I have over 30 years of watching
- 1:15:49Speaker 3: Florida State football.
- 1:15:49Speaker 4: I've never had the feeling.
- 1:15:51Speaker 3: I said, if we win this game, is that really
- 1:15:53Speaker 3: the best thing for the program? And it was so
- 1:15:58Speaker 3: conflicting watching because I'm like, if we win this game,
- 1:16:02Speaker 3: they'll let this fool ride to December.
- 1:16:05Speaker 4: And possibly.
- 1:16:07Speaker 3: But I'm glad that you did the Jimbo information. The
- 1:16:12Speaker 3: fan base is real split on this. It's either you
- 1:16:15Speaker 3: love it or you hate it. The ones that don't
- 1:16:19Speaker 3: hate it are the same ones I feel like they
- 1:16:22Speaker 3: want to say, well, Mike's a good guy. Because you
- 1:16:27Speaker 3: telling me a guy that recruited Eddie Goldman, Timmy Jernigan,
- 1:16:31Speaker 3: Mario Edwards, we talking about D-line, you talking about D-line earlier. Shit,
- 1:16:37Speaker 3: we had Chris Cash, well, he wasn't on it, but
- 1:16:39Speaker 3: Chris Cash or, oh, yeah, Burns. We had dogs, man.
- 1:16:45Speaker 3: Mike ain't getting them kind of players.
- 1:16:48Speaker 2: You had Nottie, Jacoby McDaniel. That's what I will say, man.
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: Jimbo.
- 1:16:53Speaker 3: Every dog. My boy E-Dog up here in Spartanburg.
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: E-Dog.
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: You're from South Carolina. Got my dog from Barnes. But again,
- 1:17:01Speaker 2: that's one thing I will say about Jimbo. Even that
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: Texas A & M. That motherfucker, when it came to
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: the trenches, bro, he made sure he put emphasis on
- 1:17:10Speaker 2: recruiting the defensive line for sure.
- 1:17:13Speaker 3: Brian Stark, Bobby Hart. lineman you right brother and it's
- 1:17:21Speaker 3: like that's what we need that's what the fan base
- 1:17:25Speaker 3: need we need a recruiter you look at the talent
- 1:17:29Speaker 3: level we should never play alabama and be like those
- 1:17:33Speaker 3: boys are better than us at every position lined up
- 1:17:37Speaker 3: it's for the state man it's like A lot.
- 1:17:40Speaker 4: Of people forgot what it means to be a Florida
- 1:17:42Speaker 4: State fan.
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: I don't even think they were. I think we had
- 1:17:44Speaker 2: better running backs. I do think Proel is a really
- 1:17:47Speaker 2: good guy.
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: I recruited him. I think we had better running backs.
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: I liked our receivers a little better. That's pretty much close,
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: but the rest of that shit, you're right.
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: They beat the fuck out of us when it comes
- 1:17:57Speaker 2: to both trenches, quarterback, linebacker play, D-line. I agree with that.
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: Even secondary. Their secondary was a lot better as well, too.
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: But I think running back and maybe receiver is a conversation.
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: But go ahead, bro.
- 1:18:08Speaker 3: I agree with that. And to the money. I look,
- 1:18:12Speaker 3: you ain't even throw the number out there.
- 1:18:13Speaker 4: I'm going to throw it out there.
- 1:18:15Speaker 3: Why is he getting paid 700 grand, bro?
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: You say who?
- 1:18:19Speaker 3: The running back, Wisner. The report I saw, he getting 700K.
- 1:18:24Speaker 3: Ashton Daniels getting 800K. He getting about as much as Daniels.
- 1:18:28Speaker 3: You mean to tell me you couldn't have took that
- 1:18:31Speaker 3: 700 and add that to that 800?
- 1:18:33Speaker 4: You got 1.5.
- 1:18:35Speaker 3: You can come up with another five, a little $ 2
- 1:18:37Speaker 3: million for a quarterback. We probably win the game.
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: To be honest with you, bro, we could have, it's
- 1:18:43Speaker 2: crazy to say this from backhand information I know, we
- 1:18:45Speaker 2: could have got, we had three quarterbacks visit, right?
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: I think it was.
- 1:18:50Speaker 2: The Castellano kid from– I.
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: Forget what he was.
- 1:18:55Speaker 3: The guy from Coastal.
- 1:18:58Speaker 4: I want to say.
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: There was another kid we had visit.
- 1:19:01Speaker 4: UNLV.
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: Yeah, UNLV under Dan Butler. We had him visit. We
- 1:19:05Speaker 2: had DJ Lagren visit and Ashton Daniels visit. Out of
- 1:19:08Speaker 2: three quarters that– out of three that visited, I know
- 1:19:11Speaker 2: on good authority that 1.5, 1.2 to 1.5 would have
- 1:19:16Speaker 2: gotten a quarterback, would have gotten one of those quarterbacks.
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: And that's on the low end when you compare it
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: to the market.
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: Mensah getting whatever he's getting at Miami, Levin's getting whatever
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: he's getting at LSU. We would have absolutely still had
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: a bargain, which would be absolutely upgrades between Lagway and
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: the UNLV quarterback. We could have gotten those guys for
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: around that number. And then, like I said, we could
- 1:19:38Speaker 2: have gotten another 500 or so to throw at some
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: offensive linemen, defensive linemen, just at a third.
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: So that $ 600, 000, $ 700, 000 could have definitely been used in
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: other places.
- 1:19:47Speaker 3: That's poor management. And then Mike want to get up
- 1:19:49Speaker 3: there and tell you, I know what it looks like.
- 1:19:52Speaker 4: What the fuck you don't?
- 1:19:53Speaker 3: Excuse my language. Know what it look like? Dude, you
- 1:19:55Speaker 3: came from Memphis. You ain't coach no big-time football. You
- 1:19:59Speaker 3: got lucky in the portal when.
- 1:20:01Speaker 4: People wasn't using it, and we had dogs.
- 1:20:04Speaker 3: But guess what? In 2026, Merce ain't coming to Florida.
- 1:20:08Speaker 4: State in the same circumstances.
- 1:20:10Speaker 3: Fitz, Jerry and Jones, those guys, they not coming to
- 1:20:15Speaker 3: Florida State in 2026. Why? Because Mike is terrible.
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: Why?
- 1:20:19Speaker 3: Tony White, I would never want to come. I don't
- 1:20:24Speaker 3: know if Mike get fired today. He probably won't because
- 1:20:27Speaker 3: they're going to kick the can down the road. They're
- 1:20:29Speaker 3: going to say it was a close game. But Tony White, absolutely.
- 1:20:34Speaker 4: He needs to be clearing his office out. I said
- 1:20:37Speaker 4: it last week when I called this show.
- 1:20:38Speaker 3: Florida State football.
- 1:20:41Speaker 4: It's D-B-U.
- 1:20:43Speaker 3: We should have corners that can man you up, and
- 1:20:46Speaker 3: we're going to bring pressure. And we should all have
- 1:20:49Speaker 3: some dogs on the line. That's what it takes football.
- 1:20:53Speaker 4: Yep.
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: It's real simple.
- 1:20:55Speaker 4: It's real simple.
- 1:20:56Speaker 3: All that soft zone. You do that when you don't
- 1:20:59Speaker 3: have the athletes to man up with somebody across the field.
- 1:21:04Speaker 4: And so you compromise, and you out-scheme.
- 1:21:08Speaker 3: Right in Florida, you should have dogs. You shouldn't have
- 1:21:11Speaker 3: to go out here and try to, man, line up,
- 1:21:14Speaker 3: man him up, shut him down.
- 1:21:16Speaker 4: Y'all get to the quarterback.
- 1:21:17Speaker 3: It's real simple, bro. Y'all don't even run that down
- 1:21:21Speaker 3: on a video game, bro. We don't have the personnel.
- 1:21:24Speaker 3: For one, you got to have a Daryl Jackson at
- 1:21:27Speaker 3: the zero technique. Like the previous caller said, you got
- 1:21:30Speaker 3: to have somebody that can hold two, three blocks consistently.
- 1:21:34Speaker 3: And then I guess Kevin Wynn was supposed to be
- 1:21:37Speaker 3: that guy. Mind you, I was at the Witt, and
- 1:21:39Speaker 3: did he even play yesterday?
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: Yeah, Kevin Witt played. He was actually pretty effective in
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: doing his job. It was just other shit around him
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: that didn't play now, but the snaps I saw of
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: Kevin Witt, he pretty much he did what he wanted
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: to against the center and got good pushback.
- 1:21:53Speaker 3: Okay. Well, I know he young, but Mike ain't even
- 1:21:58Speaker 3: going to be here to see that one.
- 1:22:00Speaker 5: Yeah, my bad.
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: I do think we need to give him more shit
- 1:22:04Speaker 2: to get more reps, but I did like what I
- 1:22:06Speaker 2: saw from Kevin Witt and the limited stuff I did
- 1:22:09Speaker 2: see as far as him being effective in pushing the,
- 1:22:12Speaker 2: being effective in pushing the center back.
- 1:22:15Speaker 3: And if Jimbo really is a two for one, I
- 1:22:18Speaker 3: want to throw that too. Cause we talking about restructuring
- 1:22:22Speaker 3: the athletic department and you need somebody. We don't, man, listen,
- 1:22:26Speaker 3: if you're going to give Jimbo an OC, that's going
- 1:22:29Speaker 3: to call plays and he can recruit and focus on that.
- 1:22:35Speaker 3: He can be a real CEO and oversee the whole
- 1:22:38Speaker 3: operation in the day-to-day. You can let Jimbo oversee the money, who.
- 1:22:45Speaker 4: He needs to come in.
- 1:22:46Speaker 3: He can be the acting GM slash head coach like
- 1:22:49Speaker 3: Cignetti is. Cignetti handled all that at Indiana. Because you
- 1:22:52Speaker 3: know why? What GM is you going to bring in
- 1:22:56Speaker 3: that knows what it looks like more than Jimbo Fishman?
- 1:23:01Speaker 3: and people want to bring up his Texas A &
- 1:23:03Speaker 3: M record. He was, what, 48-25 or 45-25, I want
- 1:23:08Speaker 3: to say. Go back, and two of those years, his
- 1:23:12Speaker 3: starting quarterback got hurt, one, including Haynes King. If you
- 1:23:15Speaker 3: go back and look at his record when he had
- 1:23:17Speaker 3: the QBs, it ain't that bad.
- 1:23:20Speaker 4: It's Jimbo Fisher.
- 1:23:21Speaker 3: Jimbo Fisher would never fill the 2-10 team.
- 1:23:24Speaker 2: I think one of those years, he actually fell down
- 1:23:27Speaker 2: to his third-string quarterback if I'm not mistaken. And I
- 1:23:30Speaker 2: do think some of that shit is a little bit
- 1:23:32Speaker 2: of karma, how things fit out of Florida State. But, like,
- 1:23:34Speaker 2: I get right. Like, if Jimbo F. A & M wasn't, like,
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: some huge who's fair, he won games.
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: Don't get it wrong.
- 1:23:41Speaker 2: But the last three or four years, because I think
- 1:23:45Speaker 2: when the Orange Bowl that one year, then after that,
- 1:23:47Speaker 2: that's when he had a bunch of those QB issues
- 1:23:49Speaker 2: and those fans just kind of got tired of the situation.
- 1:23:51Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:23:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: But if you will, say.
- 1:23:55Speaker 2: Me another– and someone put this out on Twitter, I
- 1:23:59Speaker 2: think my guy Joe did, name me another A &
- 1:24:01Speaker 2: M coach that's been successful.
- 1:24:04Speaker 3: Yeah, Kevin Sumlin's probably the best one. I don't think
- 1:24:06Speaker 3: he's done another job since.
- 1:24:08Speaker 2: Some of the records at the end of their tenure,
- 1:24:12Speaker 2: but then you got Elko, who's probably doing the best
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: at this point in time, but again, he's got blasted
- 1:24:16Speaker 2: by Kentucky, lost in the first round last year against Miami,
- 1:24:19Speaker 2: while having home field advantage.
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: So, I mean, we talk about it all the time,
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: Texas A & M and A have all the bag.
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: Yeah, they got all the bag and all the money out,
- 1:24:27Speaker 2: but They've always had it in Texas A & M
- 1:24:30Speaker 2: has a fucking war and shit. I mean, it's just
- 1:24:32Speaker 2: tough to win there for whatever reason.
- 1:24:34Speaker 4: Yeah, man, it's levels, man.
- 1:24:36Speaker 3: It levels everything. And Florida State is supposed to be
- 1:24:39Speaker 3: on that top tier level.
- 1:24:40Speaker 4: That's the Florida State. We ain't on that level right now.
- 1:24:43Speaker 3: But I believe if not a coach you can hire,
- 1:24:46Speaker 3: they can get us back to that level faster than
- 1:24:49Speaker 3: Jimbo Fisher. And I think a lot of people when
- 1:24:51Speaker 3: they feel us, they sound like hurt exes and all that.
- 1:24:56Speaker 3: Ask yourself today, the ones that don't want it. If
- 1:24:59Speaker 3: I come offer you $ 80 million to leave your job,
- 1:25:01Speaker 3: $ 70 million, whatever, are you going to be like, nah,
- 1:25:05Speaker 3: I'm going to just stay? And you already got complaints
- 1:25:08Speaker 3: about your current job, and they're going to come triple
- 1:25:11Speaker 3: your salary. Everybody in this chat is leaving.
- 1:25:14Speaker 4: I don't care what you say.
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: They're absolutely leaving. It's guaranteed.
- 1:25:17Speaker 2: And also, man, it's more so, I don't blame Jimbo
- 1:25:19Speaker 2: for leaving. I blame him for how he left. But
- 1:25:22Speaker 2: you're absolutely right. Nobody's turning that shit down. And then
- 1:25:24Speaker 2: you got to fact that Texas A & M did
- 1:25:29Speaker 2: all the shit they did for his son's medical condition
- 1:25:31Speaker 2: as well, too. Money aside, anything Ethan needed, Texas A
- 1:25:38Speaker 2: & M provided. I'm talking about private jet flights to
- 1:25:40Speaker 2: appointments in Boston, Massachusetts, this, that, and third. Anything he
- 1:25:45Speaker 2: needed from a medical standpoint, Texas A & M gave him.
- 1:25:49Speaker 2: Nobody's turned that down at all. Again, that contract he
- 1:25:53Speaker 2: had Texas A & M was way early on those
- 1:25:56Speaker 2: big winning contracts. Way early on that as far as
- 1:26:00Speaker 2: the 10 years, $ 70 million. Nobody's turned that shit down
- 1:26:02Speaker 2: at all.
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: Nobody.
- 1:26:05Speaker 3: You get Jimbo autonomy over the program. You oversee the day-to-day. GM, CEO,
- 1:26:15Speaker 3: and you let him rock.
- 1:26:16Speaker 4: You let him go recruit. Nobody's going to outwork Jimbo.
- 1:26:19Speaker 3: It's not a coach you're going to hire that's going
- 1:26:22Speaker 3: to outwork Jimbo Fisher. on the recruiting trail that's going
- 1:26:26Speaker 3: to go get you, Dalvin Cook, Jameis Winston. Hell, he
- 1:26:29Speaker 3: had Haynes. I thought Haynes King should have.
- 1:26:31Speaker 4: Won the Heisman last year, me personally.
- 1:26:33Speaker 3: But, hell, his last quarterback was Haynes King, who's in
- 1:26:38Speaker 3: the NFL, too. A guy that knows QBs, and he
- 1:26:43Speaker 3: knows the deal from the trenches. He knows how it looks.
- 1:26:46Speaker 3: Mike just claimed he know how it looks. Mike don't
- 1:26:48Speaker 3: know how it looks. He got lucky and got fifth
- 1:26:50Speaker 3: conversion a few guys, like I said. But outside of that,
- 1:26:54Speaker 3: just look, what players, homegrown players besides Azari Thomas and Farmer,
- 1:27:00Speaker 3: has he got to the league? Who has he developed?
- 1:27:03Speaker 3: Who has he grown?
- 1:27:04Speaker 4: Nobody. He don't know what it look like. He don't
- 1:27:06Speaker 4: know what he's doing.
- 1:27:09Speaker 3: It's a dub. But I don't understand how Tony White
- 1:27:12Speaker 3: can go out there and coach tomorrow.
- 1:27:14Speaker 4: He should be fired today.
- 1:27:15Speaker 3: At least fire him. and give somebody else a chance
- 1:27:18Speaker 3: to coordinate it. Then you got Central Arkansas, which essentially give.
- 1:27:21Speaker 4: You two weeks before Virginia to work on the defense.
- 1:27:24Speaker 4: But that 3-3-5 scrapped it.
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: Didn't those, did a new snap, that new snap, they had,
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: was it two-year contracts, if I'm not mistaken?
- 1:27:35Speaker 3: I was thinking about that yesterday. And I want to
- 1:27:38Speaker 3: say some of those guys took one-year contracts. I really
- 1:27:41Speaker 3: want to say I don't think everybody took two-year contracts.
- 1:27:44Speaker 3: But I could be wrong.
- 1:27:46Speaker 2: Yeah, I think they did take two of those contracts
- 1:27:49Speaker 2: to be up in December, November. So I get people
- 1:27:51Speaker 2: saying fire Tony White or whatever, but at the same
- 1:27:54Speaker 2: damn time, just let it ride out because it's going
- 1:27:56Speaker 2: to be a– nobody said Haynes King won Heisman, so
- 1:28:00Speaker 2: he should have won Heisman.
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: Looking at the chat. Nah, I lost my damn train
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: of thought. What were we just talking about?
- 1:28:07Speaker 3: My bad, bro.
- 1:28:08Speaker 4: Two-year contract.
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I think those guys being down
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: in December, there's no– I know.
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: People want– fire tony white like right now i don't
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: think there's a need to do that as of right
- 1:28:19Speaker 2: now just let it play out i do think at
- 1:28:21Speaker 2: a certain point in time with the season playing out
- 1:28:25Speaker 2: the results are going to be results and we're going
- 1:28:28Speaker 2: to get that breaking news.
- 1:28:30Speaker 1: At at some point in time during the season so.
- 1:28:34Speaker 2: It'll all be it'll all be done collectively in my
- 1:28:37Speaker 2: opinion together so no need to do in the fight
- 1:28:40Speaker 2: of a defensive coordinator when a month or.
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: So, two months, whatever it may be.
- 1:28:44Speaker 2: I'm going to say a month probably, depending on how
- 1:28:46Speaker 2: that four-game stretch looks.
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: You could be looking at a new head coach as well.
- 1:28:51Speaker 3: Demote him and give somebody else a chance. Just say
- 1:28:55Speaker 3: you didn't charge the linebackers for the rest of the
- 1:28:56Speaker 3: season or something. Don't even coordinate defense. You got a demotion, bro.
- 1:29:01Speaker 3: You keep the salary until we all get fired, but
- 1:29:03Speaker 3: you ain't coordinating nothing.
- 1:29:07Speaker 4: No, I can't.
- 1:29:08Speaker 3: I'm a head coach. I can't send Tony White out
- 1:29:10Speaker 3: there to coordinate my defense because the defense ain't coordinated.
- 1:29:13Speaker 3: What's coordinated about our defense? Your defense is coordinated, but
- 1:29:18Speaker 3: through three games, the defense ain't coordinated. So, obviously, you're
- 1:29:21Speaker 3: failing at your job. Obviously, you don't need to be
- 1:29:24Speaker 3: doing it. And I don't– it's not for the state football.
- 1:29:29Speaker 3: I ain't going to hold up to it. I still
- 1:29:31Speaker 3: got to hang over. So I ain't even going to
- 1:29:33Speaker 3: hold up the line too much.
- 1:29:34Speaker 4: I'm going to let you go to somebody else.
- 1:29:36Speaker 3: But I did say– last thing I say, I said
- 1:29:40Speaker 3: last two weeks, Virginia was going to be D-Day.
- 1:29:44Speaker 4: It looked like that further and further.
- 1:29:46Speaker 3: Virginia is going to be the day that we find
- 1:29:49Speaker 3: out if Mark Novell is going to be employed.
- 1:29:51Speaker 4: I think he should be fired today. I know why
- 1:29:54Speaker 4: they ain't going to.
- 1:29:55Speaker 3: Do it probably because they got an excuse now because.
- 1:29:58Speaker 4: The game was close.
- 1:29:59Speaker 3: But, hey, that Virginia game, you go out there, you
- 1:30:02Speaker 3: go to– the booze is going to be loud already
- 1:30:04Speaker 3: anyway probably depending on next– well, they probably.
- 1:30:07Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 1:30:09Speaker 3: That's one thing to talk about. Who's coming to Central Arkansas?
- 1:30:11Speaker 3: Who wants to see that next week? Because that might
- 1:30:14Speaker 3: be very telling game next week. Let them get off
- 1:30:17Speaker 3: to a slow start.
- 1:30:19Speaker 4: Let's see what happens.
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: Let's see what happens.
- 1:30:22Speaker 2: It's going to be a pet house in Doak Camel
- 1:30:23Speaker 2: Stadium only because it's Parents Weekend. That's the only reason
- 1:30:26Speaker 2: it's going to be a pet house sold out in
- 1:30:29Speaker 2: Doak Camel Stadium.
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: So, yeah, but it could. I don't foresee that happening
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: at all, but you never know, man.
- 1:30:34Speaker 2: Within these micro-avail teams, you never know what fucking team
- 1:30:38Speaker 2: you're going to get. So I could very well see
- 1:30:40Speaker 2: those guys come out and start to go against Central Arkansas.
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: I could see a.
- 1:30:45Speaker 2: Built-ass situation where it's like 70-0 or 70-10 or 3
- 1:30:49Speaker 2: or whatever, something along those lines.
- 1:30:51Speaker 3: Why not start Marshall that game and see what you got?
- 1:30:53Speaker 3: And if you're going to win, if he.
- 1:30:55Speaker 4: Struggles, just put Ashton back in.
- 1:30:57Speaker 3: I just don't see the definition of insanity.
- 1:31:03Speaker 2: Just to see it, once you make that move, you
- 1:31:05Speaker 2: got to commit to it, in my opinion. And also,
- 1:31:08Speaker 2: just with the money we're paying Daniels, I don't want
- 1:31:10Speaker 2: to see it happen unless he just falls flat on
- 1:31:12Speaker 2: his face. But once you make that move, as far
- 1:31:15Speaker 2: as Marshall, you got to commit to it.
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: You can't.
- 1:31:18Speaker 2: In my opinion, it's a bad thing to kind of
- 1:31:20Speaker 2: go back and forth and flip-flop and have a two-quarterback situation.
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: Once you make the move, you got to commit to it.
- 1:31:27Speaker 3: That's fine, too, because, hell, Mike, you should know you
- 1:31:32Speaker 3: ain't making it to the end of the season anyway.
- 1:31:33Speaker 3: At least let me see if I got– hey, look
- 1:31:36Speaker 3: at Trinidad Chambliss. They didn't give him a chance until
- 1:31:38Speaker 3: Austin Simmons got hurt last year. And you see what
- 1:31:42Speaker 3: that boy's doing.
- 1:31:42Speaker 4: He about to win the Heisman.
- 1:31:44Speaker 3: See what you got, man. He was on the second
- 1:31:46Speaker 3: string at Ole Miss. If Ole Simmons had not got hurt,
- 1:31:49Speaker 3: he might not even play last season. Like, and just
- 1:31:55Speaker 3: see what you got, man. I lost words, man. 50 balls.
- 1:32:02Speaker 3: And it's like I'm at the wedding. Every time I
- 1:32:05Speaker 3: look down and check, I see Alabama scored again. What
- 1:32:08Speaker 3: the hell is going on? So I sat down and watched.
- 1:32:10Speaker 3: They doing what they want. The second half, when I
- 1:32:12Speaker 3: could really sit down, like you said, they gassed. They
- 1:32:15Speaker 3: did what they wanted. And I knew we was tired
- 1:32:17Speaker 3: by then. So it is what it is. And folks
- 1:32:21Speaker 3: criticized Ashland Barker in the offseason. What did he say?
- 1:32:24Speaker 3: We need D linemen.
- 1:32:27Speaker 4: You need them.
- 1:32:28Speaker 3: Everything he said on that live that he got criticized
- 1:32:30Speaker 3: for was true. It's coming to fruition. Why wouldn't you
- 1:32:35Speaker 3: want to go out there and win?
- 1:32:36Speaker 4: He was talking winning ball.
- 1:32:37Speaker 3: We don't got no D linemen. He definitely want time.
- 1:32:43Speaker 3: I don't see why the fan base got mad. See,
- 1:32:46Speaker 3: he was speaking the truth. That's why we got to
- 1:32:51Speaker 3: get to the second half. No doubt. After your first
- 1:32:55Speaker 3: little stream go out, and they ain't all that. It's
- 1:32:59Speaker 3: over with.
- 1:33:00Speaker 4: That's it. Just winning football.
- 1:33:02Speaker 3: Folks need to get out of their field and stop
- 1:33:03Speaker 3: being mad. When people speak out and speak the truth,
- 1:33:07Speaker 3: this fan base got a terrible problem with it. You
- 1:33:11Speaker 3: need to support the team.
- 1:33:12Speaker 4: You need to do this.
- 1:33:13Speaker 3: Man, listen. You either know ball or you don't. If
- 1:33:16Speaker 3: you know ball, you know some of this is just
- 1:33:20Speaker 3: not good ball and needs to be replaced. It's alright
- 1:33:23Speaker 3: if you want to support the team. I'll always be
- 1:33:26Speaker 3: a no, but Common sense over insanity, man. If you
- 1:33:30Speaker 3: see it's wrong, it's okay to call it out. These
- 1:33:33Speaker 3: ain't babies. They make more money than us. Like you said,
- 1:33:35Speaker 3: they get paid very well. So when you're getting paid,
- 1:33:38Speaker 3: you can open yourself up to criticism. Mandrell, Darryl, Desire,
- 1:33:43Speaker 3: they held us up for all this money. Raw held
- 1:33:46Speaker 3: us up for all this money. They look the three
- 1:33:48Speaker 3: worst on the defense. Damn near. And you held us
- 1:33:53Speaker 3: up for all this money. So why can't we say nothing?
- 1:33:56Speaker 3: Ain't the fans paying y'all salaries? Okay, we can talk.
- 1:34:01Speaker 3: In the real world, when politicians mess up, you paying
- 1:34:03Speaker 3: their salaries to the police so you feel like you
- 1:34:05Speaker 3: can speak on it.
- 1:34:06Speaker 4: We paying these folks salaries so we can speak on it.
- 1:34:09Speaker 3: They ain't playing up the party.
- 1:34:11Speaker 4: That's all I want to say.
- 1:34:13Speaker 3: Virginia, get your ass blown out. It's probably your last day.
- 1:34:18Speaker 3: All I want to say, go Nose. Let you ride
- 1:34:22Speaker 3: on on a Sunday.
- 1:34:23Speaker 4: Have a good one, bro.
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: Appreciate you, bro. Good stuff. All right, we'll transition over
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: to Sean. Sean, you there?
- 1:34:31Speaker 4: Yeah, fam.
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: Talk to me. How you feeling?
- 1:34:33Speaker 5: Man, we seen them tears, dog.
- 1:34:36Speaker 7: Them niggas, Mike Neville, Tony White, man, we all see
- 1:34:40Speaker 7: this shit, fam. It's like shit just bogus, and it's
- 1:34:43Speaker 7: like the first. To be honest, it feels up to me.
- 1:34:46Speaker 7: Soon as Norvell got off the plane and landed Tuscaloosa,
- 1:34:49Speaker 7: I would have fired that nigga. I don't give a damn.
- 1:34:51Speaker 7: We could have won by 50. He long overdue to
- 1:34:54Speaker 7: be gone. T. White, I mean, the shit, the first
- 1:34:58Speaker 7: all the way up till the damn two-minute weather delay,
- 1:35:02Speaker 7: shit was working. But, like, fam, it ain't no excuse
- 1:35:04Speaker 7: for why the hell your defense done lit up 1,200
- 1:35:08Speaker 7: yards in the past two games.
- 1:35:12Speaker 5: That shit just fucking ridiculous.
- 1:35:14Speaker 3: And then.
- 1:35:15Speaker 7: Like y'all was just talking about with Ashland and talking
- 1:35:17Speaker 7: about the D-line.
- 1:35:17Speaker 5: Yeah, we ain't got no depth.
- 1:35:18Speaker 7: Like, to be honest, the difference between a good and
- 1:35:21Speaker 7: a great team, it's easy to start off well. But, like,
- 1:35:24Speaker 7: on the back end, the third quarter, the best teams
- 1:35:27Speaker 7: come alive then, which we didn't. You could tell with Ty,
- 1:35:30Speaker 7: like you said, the depth of the D-line. We ain't
- 1:35:33Speaker 7: have it. Niggas was fried. Like, it wasn't shit. We
- 1:35:37Speaker 7: could do that second half now. Granted, it was a
- 1:35:39Speaker 7: few plays to where... Them PIs. No, not PIs.
- 1:35:43Speaker 5: It was holding. Happened in the rest phase on critical plays.
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:35:48Speaker 7: Niggas ain't want to call it. And that shit, you
- 1:35:50Speaker 7: just charge to the game. But another thing, too, I
- 1:35:52Speaker 7: got to say, like, fans, how they just on Ashton
- 1:35:55Speaker 7: Daniels' ass. I mean, he gave us 36 points.
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: Anything should be. I agree, bro.
- 1:36:00Speaker 3: Like, he was.
- 1:36:02Speaker 2: Daniels wasn't completely bad. It was stuff where we wanted
- 1:36:05Speaker 2: him to do a lot better for sure. But again,
- 1:36:06Speaker 2: like you said, the offense gave us 36 points, bro.
- 1:36:08Speaker 3: Simple as that.
- 1:36:09Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:36:09Speaker 3: And it's like.
- 1:36:10Speaker 7: You asking for him to play a perfect game. Tell
- 1:36:12Speaker 7: me what, national championship team wins, letting teams get 500
- 1:36:17Speaker 7: total yards throughout a game and 50 points.
- 1:36:19Speaker 5: You not going to win no championship. I don't care
- 1:36:22Speaker 5: who your quarterback is.
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: I don't have any.
- 1:36:24Speaker 2: I got a few complaints, but I'm not putting any
- 1:36:26Speaker 2: blame on the offense.
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: You give me 36 on the road, I expect to
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: fucking win.
- 1:36:31Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:36:31Speaker 7: And to be honest, the first interception he threw, a
- 1:36:34Speaker 7: dude tipped it.
- 1:36:35Speaker 5: That's just something. At the end of the day, you're
- 1:36:36Speaker 5: playing football. It's good on good.
- 1:36:39Speaker 7: That's the game. Foe made a play where he tipped it.
- 1:36:41Speaker 7: Because you can be like, all right, was he going
- 1:36:44Speaker 7: to put touch on it? He answered that with the
- 1:36:46Speaker 7: touchdown to Landon Thomas where he floated it over Riles
- 1:36:50Speaker 7: and the other nigga head. Like, he was bound to
- 1:36:52Speaker 7: do that. So I'm not really against Ashton. Like, man,
- 1:36:55Speaker 7: you sometimes tap a nigga on that good play. Let's
- 1:36:58Speaker 7: play football. And you know the defense showed up head
- 1:37:00Speaker 7: on the three. That's what football all about. But, man,
- 1:37:03Speaker 7: when it come down to, Him, he played. It's just
- 1:37:06Speaker 7: this damn defense. Like, that shit just fucking ridiculous.
- 1:37:09Speaker 5: We cannot.
- 1:37:09Speaker 7: I saw a statistic that said when we had a
- 1:37:11Speaker 7: three-man or four-man rush, this nigga went 13 for 13,
- 1:37:15Speaker 7: 200-something yards. That shit is ridiculous. A three- or a
- 1:37:21Speaker 7: four-man rush, this nigga went perfect. That's fucking insanity. And
- 1:37:28Speaker 7: so it's like, dog, in the trenches, like, second half,
- 1:37:32Speaker 7: they bound to get tired.
- 1:37:33Speaker 3: Like, man.
- 1:37:34Speaker 7: At the end of the day, I'm going to call
- 1:37:35Speaker 7: it for what it is. Like, we just got hit
- 1:37:36Speaker 7: with smash mouth football the second half.
- 1:37:37Speaker 5: And they ain't going to lie.
- 1:37:39Speaker 7: We know what this pass defense is. When a team
- 1:37:42Speaker 7: runs on us, are we fucked?
- 1:37:44Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 1:37:45Speaker 3: Shit over. We fried.
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: We running in on this around.
- 1:37:48Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:37:49Speaker 7: Like, we fried because we already know. I always liked
- 1:37:52Speaker 7: our team when it came to run defense, in which
- 1:37:54Speaker 7: we showed that. But, man, that shit. And I told
- 1:37:56Speaker 7: my partner that. Like, man, all this shit, when it
- 1:37:59Speaker 7: comes down to a great team, who comes alive in
- 1:38:01Speaker 7: the third?
- 1:38:02Speaker 5: You really see that.
- 1:38:03Speaker 7: Who them dogs who dig deep on the back end?
- 1:38:06Speaker 7: It's like you hit another gear. And so that's what
- 1:38:10Speaker 7: I got as far as that. And then fucking, man,
- 1:38:13Speaker 7: that shit wasn't a weather delay. That shit was a
- 1:38:15Speaker 7: terrorist threat from Mike Norvell. That nigga yelled out a
- 1:38:19Speaker 7: la Akbar in that building because that was the worst
- 1:38:21Speaker 7: two minutes of coaching I seen in my damn life.
- 1:38:25Speaker 7: I ain't never seen. How the hell do you let
- 1:38:29Speaker 7: niggas score? Two touchdowns and two... That game flipped in
- 1:38:34Speaker 7: a matter of two minutes.
- 1:38:35Speaker 2: And it wasn't even two minutes, but it scored two
- 1:38:37Speaker 2: touchdowns in a minute and 20 seconds or some shit
- 1:38:40Speaker 2: like that.
- 1:38:41Speaker 5: That is absurd. Yeah. That's absurd. How the hell do
- 1:38:47Speaker 5: you let that happen?
- 1:38:48Speaker 1: 14-point swing in, like, a minute and 15 seconds.
- 1:38:52Speaker 7: And, like, when they scored the first time, it should
- 1:38:53Speaker 7: have been, okay, let's just run this out. But this
- 1:38:55Speaker 7: nigga's just trying to steal, make passes. Ashton Daniels just
- 1:38:58Speaker 7: chewing the sack.
- 1:39:00Speaker 5: It's like, well, damn.
- 1:39:01Speaker 7: The only bonehead interception I think Ashton had during that
- 1:39:04Speaker 7: two-minute span was when he threw it to balls upfield.
- 1:39:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:39:08Speaker 7: And dude tipped it. That's the only bonehead play that
- 1:39:11Speaker 7: I really would get on Ashton Daniels' ass about throughout
- 1:39:13Speaker 7: that game. Now, it might have been more, I mean,
- 1:39:16Speaker 7: you don't catch everything live, but It's just shit like that, dog,
- 1:39:20Speaker 7: with this team.
- 1:39:23Speaker 5: Norvell really what pissed me off about this motherfucker. If
- 1:39:25Speaker 5: he would have called, I don't know if you noticed
- 1:39:27Speaker 5: the play against New Mexico State.
- 1:39:29Speaker 7: It was one of our best plays where Ashton will run,
- 1:39:31Speaker 7: and then he'll pull somebody and toss it over to Cromer.
- 1:39:35Speaker 7: We didn't run that none against SMU, but it was
- 1:39:38Speaker 7: our best play against New Mexico State. This nigga Norvell,
- 1:39:42Speaker 7: if he would have brought out three or four more
- 1:39:44Speaker 7: plays from this game and put it in SMU, we'd
- 1:39:46Speaker 7: win that easy.
- 1:39:49Speaker 5: And once again, it never fails, and it showed this game.
- 1:39:52Speaker 7: If you throw it to Deuce on a go or
- 1:39:55Speaker 7: a deep route, chances are it's.
- 1:39:57Speaker 5: Not going to be a turnover.
- 1:40:00Speaker 7: Either Deuce going to come down with it, or you
- 1:40:01Speaker 7: might get a P.I., either or.
- 1:40:04Speaker 5: But Deuce is a deep threat.
- 1:40:05Speaker 7: Literally, that slant route, man, it wasn't shit.
- 1:40:07Speaker 5: He could do that one. I think that was fourth down. Man,
- 1:40:09Speaker 5: that nigga played that shit to a T. The corner
- 1:40:12Speaker 5: did it. So, it's like, man, what the hell can
- 1:40:15Speaker 5: you do about that? But Norvell, man, that motherfucker got
- 1:40:17Speaker 5: to go. Because, like, that's the.
- 1:40:19Speaker 7: Ashton Daniels, I knew the first couple games. Like, people
- 1:40:23Speaker 7: wanted his head gone. But it's like, hell, Norvell ain't
- 1:40:25Speaker 7: putting him in position to fucking win. Like, these route concepts,
- 1:40:29Speaker 7: et cetera, is bullshit. And all of a sudden, first quarter, everything...
- 1:40:33Speaker 7: I swear to you, CJ. I swear to you. I
- 1:40:35Speaker 7: kid you not. I swear, dog.
- 1:40:37Speaker 5: I literally told my partner. We be talking football all
- 1:40:41Speaker 5: the time. He a LSU fan. I told this nigga.
- 1:40:44Speaker 7: I said, bro, when we come out against Bama, if
- 1:40:46Speaker 7: we do a play action on first down, dog, I
- 1:40:49Speaker 7: might fucking cry. And the first play of the fucking
- 1:40:54Speaker 7: game was a play action dart for like 12 yards, 13.
- 1:40:58Speaker 7: First play. We didn't do that none against SMU. It
- 1:41:02Speaker 7: was never a play action on first down. Like we
- 1:41:05Speaker 7: easily could be two on one. That's why that tears
- 1:41:07Speaker 7: got to fucking go. This shit is just fucking ridiculous
- 1:41:12Speaker 7: how the fuck you sweet like watch when we go
- 1:41:14Speaker 7: against Virginia Central Arkansas this shit don't even look the
- 1:41:17Speaker 7: same dudes probably don't get no fucking targets no more
- 1:41:19Speaker 7: like There's no reason we should be in this situation.
- 1:41:23Speaker 5: There's none and Then the fourth.
- 1:41:26Speaker 7: Down conversion they had that was critical to when we
- 1:41:30Speaker 7: I think damn I think was a two possession three possessions.
- 1:41:33Speaker 1: Fourth and two missed all sex and.
- 1:41:34Speaker 5: Hell yeah, Jabril Ross came in off of blitz.
- 1:41:38Speaker 1: Before that, though, man, that shit was fucking third and 17, bro.
- 1:41:40Speaker 5: Yep, yep, damn sure enough.
- 1:41:43Speaker 2: And we gave up 15 to get them a situation
- 1:41:45Speaker 2: to go for. They wouldn't have went for that play
- 1:41:48Speaker 2: at all if we hold them to minimum game on
- 1:41:50Speaker 2: third down, but we gave up 15 on third and 17.
- 1:41:52Speaker 7: And I think that went apart of the statistic of
- 1:41:55Speaker 7: damn three or four man rushes. This nigga went perfect
- 1:41:58Speaker 7: because I don't think we blitzed a cent more than four.
- 1:42:01Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:42:01Speaker 2: I know on a percentage standpoint, we look good on
- 1:42:03Speaker 2: third downs, but if you go on third to 17,
- 1:42:06Speaker 2: you get 15. That's a third down conversion in my book.
- 1:42:09Speaker 3: Mm-hmm.
- 1:42:10Speaker 5: No, I agree.
- 1:42:10Speaker 3: I agree.
- 1:42:12Speaker 5: I'm right with you. I'm right with you, man. This
- 1:42:14Speaker 5: shit just be pathetic. To be honest, where this program
- 1:42:17Speaker 5: at right now, man, I just don't. You just hate
- 1:42:21Speaker 5: to see it. You know what I'm saying?
- 1:42:23Speaker 7: Because, I mean, with these players, that first, all the
- 1:42:26Speaker 7: way up to that two-minute weather delay, I seen the team.
- 1:42:29Speaker 5: I knew, like, fuck the coaches. Fuck them. They all
- 1:42:32Speaker 5: trash to me. Get them gone. But as far as
- 1:42:34Speaker 5: that team, I know we got the players to fight,
- 1:42:36Speaker 5: my niggas. I know we did.
- 1:42:40Speaker 2: It's a certain team, like Obama, Miami, from a recruiting standpoint, right?
- 1:42:45Speaker 2: If you're looking at Obama, Miami, just that and third,
- 1:42:48Speaker 2: like those, we just can't bang the entire fourth quarter
- 1:42:51Speaker 2: due to recruiting deficiencies.
- 1:42:53Speaker 7: Yeah, you're right. Like we can't keep players. We can't
- 1:42:56Speaker 7: keep them. We literally, man, I knew last year when
- 1:43:01Speaker 7: Pittman was gone, that shit pissed me off. Because Pittman
- 1:43:03Speaker 7: single-handedly himself, the Virginia game, about had us still winning.
- 1:43:07Speaker 5: By himself.
- 1:43:08Speaker 7: Pass a touchdown, receive a touchdown, and everybody know he'll
- 1:43:10Speaker 7: block his ass off. First game against New Mexico State,
- 1:43:14Speaker 7: I saw the Riles cat pull the block.
- 1:43:16Speaker 5: I'm like, oh, no. Hell no. Motherfucker can't block.
- 1:43:20Speaker 2: That's another thing. It was one place where, seriously, Ashley
- 1:43:23Speaker 2: ended up taking a sack yesterday. Motion, Riles... We motioned
- 1:43:29Speaker 2: him over to the opposite side to pick up the
- 1:43:33Speaker 2: defensive end from a blocking standpoint. Motherfucker barely touched his ass,
- 1:43:37Speaker 2: and that same guy ended up getting a sack.
- 1:43:39Speaker 1: We didn't give Ashton time at all to develop the
- 1:43:43Speaker 1: play this, that, and third.
- 1:43:44Speaker 2: So I agree, Riles has been a big- Terrible. He's
- 1:43:47Speaker 2: been a terrible get from the.
- 1:43:50Speaker 5: Four of them. We wasted money on him, and then shit.
- 1:43:53Speaker 5: Who the hell is- We could have.
- 1:43:55Speaker 7: Put more money into this O-line to kind of make
- 1:43:57Speaker 7: this a better situation.
- 1:43:58Speaker 5: And then at that, the trenches.
- 1:43:59Speaker 7: I don't understand why the hell these niggas just can't
- 1:44:01Speaker 7: make no damn pressure. Like, this shit ridiculous. And like
- 1:44:04Speaker 7: you said, when it comes from a recruiting standpoint, like, man,
- 1:44:07Speaker 7: we keep the players.
- 1:44:08Speaker 5: Last year, we had Lucas, J. Lucas.
- 1:44:11Speaker 7: Hell, every time we used him on like third and
- 1:44:13Speaker 7: five or we needed a big play, he'll come through.
- 1:44:16Speaker 4: Time and time.
- 1:44:17Speaker 7: But we never showed him consistency of getting the ball.
- 1:44:20Speaker 7: This nigga go to Tulane and put up a 200
- 1:44:21Speaker 7: ball on 11 rushes. It's just shit like that. Finally,
- 1:44:27Speaker 7: we started using bars. Finally, we using deep ends, hitting Danzy. Finally,
- 1:44:31Speaker 7: we hit Danzy on the post. What killed me about
- 1:44:34Speaker 7: this shit is you got two players with Deuce and
- 1:44:37Speaker 7: Danzy who can take away two players, which make your
- 1:44:39Speaker 7: job easy.
- 1:44:41Speaker 5: When you got a receiver.
- 1:44:42Speaker 7: That can have a nigga on him and a player
- 1:44:44Speaker 7: over top, Danzy, the second half after that post, they
- 1:44:47Speaker 7: started playing over top of him. He go deep, everybody
- 1:44:49Speaker 7: looking at this nigga. That make your job easy. We
- 1:44:53Speaker 7: got threats. We got bars. We got Lopez. You got
- 1:44:57Speaker 7: to use these niggas. I was like, we can use
- 1:45:01Speaker 7: Trey Wiseman in a sense on some of these screens
- 1:45:04Speaker 7: he want to call, et cetera.
- 1:45:06Speaker 5: RPOs on a flat. Anything.
- 1:45:08Speaker 7: You can put this nigga in the game and use
- 1:45:09Speaker 7: him instead of just letting wasted money sit there. But
- 1:45:14Speaker 7: I will say in this game, Norvell really came out
- 1:45:16Speaker 7: and did better play calls. But it still don't fucking matter.
- 1:45:20Speaker 7: Because like I said, I want that nigga fried.
- 1:45:21Speaker 3: I want him gone.
- 1:45:22Speaker 7: I would have, like I said, before the game, I
- 1:45:24Speaker 7: would have had him going.
- 1:45:24Speaker 5: It don't matter how that game turned out.
- 1:45:26Speaker 7: Because due to the SMU game, and this proved all
- 1:45:29Speaker 7: that to me.
- 1:45:30Speaker 5: Like, we easily could be 2-1.
- 1:45:33Speaker 7: I give it to Bama, because like I said, on
- 1:45:35Speaker 7: the back end, they just smashed my football.
- 1:45:37Speaker 5: Like, who nuts bigger?
- 1:45:38Speaker 7: And they niggas ran it down our throats, and that's
- 1:45:40Speaker 7: when niggas become alive.
- 1:45:41Speaker 5: You could tell niggas was woke.
- 1:45:43Speaker 7: The LSU Ole Miss game, from that eight minutes in
- 1:45:46Speaker 7: third to all the way to the beginning of the fourth,
- 1:45:50Speaker 7: that game was 24-7. LSU woke up 21-24 going into
- 1:45:53Speaker 7: the fourth. That third shows you who motherfucking the better team.
- 1:45:58Speaker 7: That's why with the first half, I took it with
- 1:46:00Speaker 7: a grain of salt. But that tears really woke me
- 1:46:02Speaker 7: up with that two minute after that weather delay.
- 1:46:05Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, that was just piss poor. Man, that
- 1:46:08Speaker 5: shit fucking ridiculous, dude.
- 1:46:09Speaker 7: Give any other coach this team, I really feel like
- 1:46:12Speaker 7: potentially we'll be 3-0.
- 1:46:14Speaker 5: But like I said, on the back end, them guys
- 1:46:16Speaker 5: get gassed. Like, It ain't nothing you can do about that.
- 1:46:19Speaker 5: I don't give a fuck who the DC is. Them
- 1:46:20Speaker 5: niggas tired. What the fuck can you do?
- 1:46:22Speaker 1: It ain't nothing you can do right now.
- 1:46:25Speaker 2: You could have did that shit six months ago.
- 1:46:27Speaker 5: Damn right.
- 1:46:28Speaker 3: Damn right.
- 1:46:30Speaker 1: But now you just got to roll with it. You right.
- 1:46:32Speaker 7: Yeah, you right on that. But these niggas, man, I
- 1:46:36Speaker 7: don't know if they just ain't wired. Because Ashton Daniels,
- 1:46:38Speaker 7: we kept fighting. Literally, the execution shot was the pick
- 1:46:42Speaker 7: on the damn... Last draw, I think when they was
- 1:46:45Speaker 7: up 14, we threw a pick, and then they ran
- 1:46:47Speaker 7: out the game. Because, I mean, you can still go
- 1:46:49Speaker 7: scope realistically and kick it onside. So that's why I
- 1:46:52Speaker 7: wasn't mad at Ashton. Like, this nigga still was playing
- 1:46:55Speaker 7: his ass off. He went to the sideline pissed after
- 1:46:57Speaker 7: the loss. I heard something about Brill. Brill got fucked
- 1:47:01Speaker 7: over on that.
- 1:47:02Speaker 5: I don't know if it was. It was a cover three,
- 1:47:06Speaker 5: I feel like.
- 1:47:07Speaker 7: I don't know if it was man on that post
- 1:47:09Speaker 7: where he was over there dolo, but still, that's his zone.
- 1:47:12Speaker 7: But other than that, if you watch the game through
- 1:47:14Speaker 7: and through in the third quarter, this nigga Brill still
- 1:47:16Speaker 7: coming up, making hits, talking shit to the crowd, still live,
- 1:47:19Speaker 7: still woke.
- 1:47:20Speaker 5: Them other niggas, man, you see hands on hips, all that.
- 1:47:24Speaker 5: You really got to pay attention to these.
- 1:47:25Speaker 3: Niggas' demeanor.
- 1:47:26Speaker 7: At the beginning of the game, Russell, that nigga was
- 1:47:29Speaker 7: walking off the field, hand on hip. We had that
- 1:47:31Speaker 7: nigga flustered, man. We let that nigga... Man, come on.
- 1:47:35Speaker 5: Then that nigga took that bitch 60 yards to the house.
- 1:47:38Speaker 5: I said, oh, we fried. We give a quarterback confidence.
- 1:47:40Speaker 1: He wasn't even touched.
- 1:47:42Speaker 3: Man, come on.
- 1:47:43Speaker 5: But I'll give it to that nigga. That bitch fast, though.
- 1:47:46Speaker 1: He sprayed.
- 1:47:46Speaker 2: But it's the point that you weren't touched, bro. It
- 1:47:49Speaker 2: was like a free land. I could have ran and
- 1:47:50Speaker 2: touched it. I ain't going to say. I could have
- 1:47:52Speaker 2: got 20 yards and put it that way. I probably
- 1:47:54Speaker 2: wouldn't have had the juice to go all the way.
- 1:47:55Speaker 2: But I'm just saying the lane itself was wide open
- 1:47:59Speaker 2: for him to go, bro.
- 1:48:00Speaker 1: It was crazy. I think we lost them. All right, guys.
- 1:48:07Speaker 1: We'll go ahead and end up wrapping this show up.
- 1:48:10Speaker 1: We got over 953 tuning in.
