Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Hello, welcome to the 26th episode of the LC40 show.
- 0:06Speaker 1: Welcome to oh, my goodness, the results of 22 rounds later.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Oh, and we also got the round 23 previews.
- 0:15Speaker 1: We've got two more rounds to go of the 2025 April 20 ship season.
- 0:21Speaker 1: We have been, we've got so intense up, up and down, some huge wins, some just over the line, some just games.
- 0:32Speaker 1: That shows that pressure gains.
- 0:46Speaker 1: And before we get into the actual show, let's welcome back aiden, aiden, welcome back thank you again no worries.
- 0:56Speaker 1: So round 22 overall is from the time we record this episode.
- 1:02Speaker 1: We have two more rounds as we said in the intro 2025, april 26th season.
- 1:08Speaker 1: My thoughts and Aidan's thoughts of the season has gone so quick, so amazing.
- 1:12Speaker 1: It's gone so quick, aidan.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Yeah, it has gone really quick this year and I think that's in part.
- 1:18Speaker 2: We're going to have a, probably going to have a look at the ladder a bit later on after we do our previews for round 23.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Ladder a bit later on after we do our previews for round 23.
- 1:27Speaker 2: But there's the just the gap between the top nine the bottom nine has really made the feel, the season feel very quick anyway.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Yeah, so let's now share round 22 results.
- 1:33Speaker 1: And if you would like to start off, aiden, what a game this was.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Hawthorne and connor would only share what you thought yeah, thanks, ben, thanks Ben, round 22.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Ben, as you said, started off on Thursday night at Hawthorne and Collingwood.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Final scores here Hawthorne 17, 8, 1, 10.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Collingwood 6, 10, 46.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Very, very interesting game.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Collingwood they lose Jeremy Howe in the first minute and I think that really changes the game for them.
- 1:58Speaker 2: I think that if for most of the game or for really the whole of the game, I actually don't think Hawthorne win this one, I think Collingwood get this one.
- 2:06Speaker 2: But because they lose Howe so early on and he's such a key player for Collingwood, I think that, just, you know, it rammed up the pressure on Collingwood and they couldn't go with Hawthorne when they were playing clean football and for the Hawks now that pretty much locks them for the rest of the year.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Collingwood, though, I am a little bit worried about at this point.
- 2:23Speaker 2: They were running first miles ahead of everyone and then just a recent slide and the pack's caught up to them.
- 2:29Speaker 2: I think that you know they've got Adelaide next week, that we'll get to, but the Cats are lurking, the Dockers are lurking, the Suns are lurking, you know if they lose to Ad next week.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Hawthorne, on the other hand, as I said, they played a really great game.
- 2:50Speaker 2: They played a really clean game, very good score differential 17-8.
- 2:51Speaker 2: So that's basically near.
- 2:52Speaker 2: It's a near one to one to two or, sorry, two to one.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Positive score differential there for Hawthorne, which is one of the things I talk about just being able to, every time you hit the scoreboard, do something with it and make it a goal and just also defensively limiting Collingwood to 16 scores.
- 3:00Speaker 2: So all-round great game for Hawthorne.
- 3:02Speaker 2: I'll get to my player of the game now and my player of the game for Collingwood and Hawthorne I am going to have to give to Jarman Impey.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Jarman Impey 102 AFL fantasy 25 touches, 18 kicks, 7 handballs, 8 marks and 2 tackles.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Yeah, thanks, aidan.
- 3:19Speaker 1: And look, yeah, as you mentioned, we're in Melbourne for the first night of football and I've got to say this is the first time I've seen an actual game of football.
- 3:28Speaker 1: It's like a challenge versus the best, and the challenge was Hawthorne.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Hawthorne got the win well done and Connor Rippo on to the first night.
- 3:38Speaker 1: They went head-to-head and boy, a 68,515-pack DMC John first night 40, which is a got to say it's a decent crowd, almost a sold-out crowd for Thursday night and we haven't seen that in so long.
- 3:52Speaker 1: But this game was not bored, it wasn't a boring game.
- 3:55Speaker 1: We've seen other games over this year and hopefully that next season we see a better action, especially for those Thursday nights.
- 4:04Speaker 1: We had more Thursday nights than ever before, like one extra Thursday night.
- 4:09Speaker 1: That's extra.
- 4:10Speaker 1: You know, that's huge, but yeah.
- 4:14Speaker 1: So, as Ada mentioned, 17-8, 110, defeated 16-46.
- 4:18Speaker 1: A bum-big victory and really a hard performance from Coningwood.
- 4:23Speaker 1: You know Orphan just wanted to win and they earned it.
- 4:25Speaker 1: You know, I think they are safe.
- 4:27Speaker 1: But we will start just nice and smooth.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Look, coningwood.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Wow, I did not see this coming off.
- 4:32Speaker 1: A loss to Brisbane?
- 4:33Speaker 1: Yes, we all know that.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Now Orphan, a big win, a little bit more coming close to the finals and you know Coningwood needed to win to keep their top four secured.
- 4:44Speaker 1: But it's a big test from Collingwood as Collingwood will face Adelaide because on Saturday night football Adelaide will sold out crowd.
- 4:52Speaker 1: What a game that will be.
- 4:54Speaker 1: And I've got to say you know it's many, many ways to see so much action for both teams coming off.
- 5:03Speaker 1: You know, hopefully some, you know, learning from that loss against Adelaide, and by 14, and then actually put a clinic at the MCG.
- 5:10Speaker 1: It's huge.
- 5:11Speaker 1: So my thoughts really Cornerwood being that top four, it's.
- 5:15Speaker 1: I know it's saying a bit harsh saying that, but you can't play that kind of football and expect to go into the MCG and beat Hawthorne Hawthorne are incredible, for you know and expect you going to the MCG and beat Hawthorne Hawthorne are incredible for you know they, yes, they let that go a good side Adelaide.
- 5:29Speaker 1: But you know you never know.
- 5:30Speaker 1: You know Conor could not play their style of footy.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Hawthorne did play four quarters of footy knowing this was the win that needed to get them stepping above of that top eight, even just under that top four, showing good pressure and good footies, making Conor work even harder in their footy and not with the win from Hovland.
- 5:56Speaker 1: It makes it a big difference for GJS Giants and anyone can finish the eighth place.
- 6:02Speaker 1: We'll share that a little bit later in the show.
- 6:04Speaker 1: As I said earlier, conor will travel to Adelaide Adelaide Oval big test more for the B-Packs.
- 6:11Speaker 1: This is a big week for him.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Mate, you know what you've done for this Adelaide Football Club, ups and downs.
- 6:17Speaker 1: You are absolutely you're being a formal captain.
- 6:19Speaker 1: You know what you've done, the rights and wrongs.
- 6:22Speaker 1: But your election, your awesome bloke and Hawthorne will take on Melbourne MCG, cicely, arsenal.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Try that football as well.
- 6:29Speaker 1: Hopefully Hawthorne will win.
- 6:31Speaker 1: So really come with the power of the game.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Jane New homie from Hawthorne included 28 disposals, five marks, two tackles, one goal 93-8 for Fancy 41% defensive half, forward half With 59% 11th scoring.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Both 21 bounce, a 10-7 clean.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Well done Jay Nekomi from Hawthorne, bigfield.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Okay, friday night 40,.
- 6:55Speaker 1: We head down to Geelong.
- 6:56Speaker 1: That's known for KDDR Park.
- 6:59Speaker 1: This one's off GMHB 8 Stadium.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Now Geelong and Essendon.
- 7:03Speaker 1: This is not bad.
- 7:03Speaker 1: King is back scoring Now.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Geelong and Essendon this is not bad.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Keegan's match going down in Geelong is pretty unusual to say.
- 7:07Speaker 1: But 15-19, 109, defeated 10-5, 65,.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Then the crowd, that's in 30,289.
- 7:15Speaker 1: So I'll continue on and then Aidan will let you share this one.
- 7:18Speaker 1: So this is the club got some notes in front of me.
- 7:21Speaker 1: We'll start off with Essendon.
- 7:22Speaker 1: They'll go out for three quarters, four out of four.
- 7:24Speaker 1: You know the best quarter from Essendon was the third now of the Essendon's five goals off for the quarter and it hasn't been the best season for Essendon.
- 7:34Speaker 1: We all know that Going down to Geelong Wasn't easy.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Good turning Then taking on Geelong is great.
- 7:39Speaker 1: I'm giving full credit I hadn't said that all season to Essendon with all those injuries.
- 7:45Speaker 1: What we do control mother wind.
- 7:47Speaker 1: You know, business as usual.
- 7:49Speaker 1: As Aidan Lott said, down at Chivilia Park G and HBA State BN.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Essendon came out and they came out in that third quarter, which is always a quarter that tends to struggle in the past in my understanding.
- 8:02Speaker 1: But I didn't really watch this.
- 8:10Speaker 1: I was at basketball training in the la field with mark barker for special Olympics basketball training, so I didn't really have the chance to watch it.
- 8:13Speaker 1: I'm watching newbie, but not much.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Giving you all great contests, that's what we all want to see.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Then you go down to Geelong.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Great start keeping four goals to Geelong.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Then in the first quarter three goals to join the second third goals.
- 8:24Speaker 1: Well, third quarter was four goals and four again in the final quarter.
- 8:27Speaker 1: You know Geelong will be safe in the top four.
- 8:30Speaker 1: In the top two we don't know, because anyone can finish in that second spot.
- 8:34Speaker 1: I think in my opinion LA is safe to be in the top two.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Yeah, and Geelong will travel to Sydney SEG on a Sunday afternoon with Essendon tag on St Kilda on Friday night.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Really not a big fan of that at Marble.
- 8:48Speaker 1: But there is a doubleheader we'll shed out very soon.
- 8:50Speaker 1: We'll come into the Paralympic game.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Look, a man has kicked bags and bags of goals all year and should be the corner man of the league, in my opinion.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Jeremy Cameron, in close 15, spurs with seven marks, two tackles, four goals, 0.5.
- 9:04Speaker 1: 104, april Van City 14% in the defensive half, 86 with all those four goals in the half and then 80% was that forward half.
- 9:13Speaker 1: 10th scoring involvement pretty impressive.
- 9:16Speaker 1: And a fleet 148 metres Game.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Well done, jeremy Cameron.
- 9:19Speaker 1: From the Geelong King, more word.
- 9:22Speaker 1: All right, aidan, take it away the Cats and the Bombs.
- 9:25Speaker 2: Yeah, thanks, ben.
- 9:26Speaker 2: The main thing I want to get to with this one is how well Essendon kept up the contest.
- 9:30Speaker 2: You know, playing against a team like Geelong you can easily just go down to Geelong Cadenia Park and just lay your soils down in the first minute of the game.
- 9:42Speaker 2: But Essendon, you know actively wanted to be in the contest, actively stayed in the contest, actually won, won the third quarter.
- 9:48Speaker 2: So they won the third quarter by you know, five goals to four in the end.
- 9:50Speaker 2: So they had a one goal turnaround in that third quarter.
- 9:52Speaker 2: But you know, the way that they managed to.
- 9:55Speaker 2: You know, just keep in the game until sort of that, that late break away from the cat.
- 9:59Speaker 2: It just shows that Essendon yeah, and I don't think this was a bad game from Geelong either.
- 10:03Speaker 2: But before I get to talking about Essendon a bit more, but it just shows that when a team is committed and it shows a team want to go out and put on an effort, that things can happen.
- 10:11Speaker 2: Okay, they didn't get the win, they lost by near seven goal, eight goal, but for three quarters of that game they were right on Geelong's tail, and especially early on.
- 10:21Speaker 2: You know if they could have got a few more opportunities in that first quarter.
- 10:24Speaker 2: I know Geelong had played a really good defense in that first quarter.
- 10:27Speaker 2: You know, if Essendon had a few more scoring opportunities, good scoring opportunities, it could have been a very different game for Geelong.
- 10:33Speaker 2: So Geelong, well, defensively game planned this one against Essendon.
- 10:37Speaker 2: They knew that Essendon, you know, struggled with that inbound kick to the forwards and they played that well.
- 10:43Speaker 2: And that's how I get the winners.
- 10:45Speaker 2: They make Essendon work hard in the first quarter and make goals come hard for them.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Where the Cats, their goals come pretty easily in the end.
- 10:53Speaker 2: But Essendon should be proud of this Geelong.
- 10:56Speaker 2: As Ben said, it's business as usual for them, too sexy again.
- 11:00Speaker 2: Final score here 15-19, 1-0-9, 10-5, 65.
- 11:03Speaker 2: So again, ess.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Again, this is a great game.
- 11:04Speaker 2: If you had more scoring opportunities, score could have been a little bit different.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Probably even you know, a little bit of pressure on Geelong later in that game could have forced a major upset.
- 11:12Speaker 2: But we'll get to my player of the game this week who is from Geelong.
- 11:15Speaker 2: It is Bailey Smith from Geelong.
- 11:17Speaker 2: 120 AFL fantasy 31 touches, 25 kicks, six handballs, six marks and four tackles.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Okie dokie.
- 11:25Speaker 1: So we have to go, we are.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Now we come to Super Sasse Football Footy, and what super footy we are.
- 11:33Speaker 1: So just give you a little bit intro, just go break down by.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Break First up, it's the Richmond and St Kilda in a low story.
- 11:40Speaker 1: I hope to see Richmond back big time in front of their Richmond supporters fans base St Kilda, keep on winning a low scoring home.
- 11:44Speaker 1: To see Richmond bounce back big time in front of their Richmond supporters fans base St Kill and keep on winning until the season is complete.
- 11:48Speaker 1: We have the second game heading to the Richmond in the hot of Queensland.
- 11:52Speaker 1: Well, what my thoughts?
- 11:54Speaker 1: This game is the game of the band heading to the gather.
- 11:58Speaker 1: We have the grand final rematch, second time for the year.
- 12:02Speaker 1: So what again?
- 12:03Speaker 1: This will be between the Brisbane and City Swans for Shell.
- 12:06Speaker 1: That way we then come to the double header with Saturday night football, with first up.
- 12:11Speaker 1: We head to the back to Melbourne at Marble Stadium for Carlton versus Gold Coast, then heading to Adelaide, over in South Australia, adelaide, port Adelaide and France.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Well, what a game that'll be to share.
- 12:25Speaker 1: So which also could be the upset of the round.
- 12:29Speaker 1: You know such a long way for Super Sassonot.
- 12:33Speaker 1: So who would like to go first?
- 12:37Speaker 1: It's been a difficult position, not really too difficult a decision, but, aidan, I'll let you share, if that's all right, for the first game between the saints and the tigers yeah, absolutely this this saturday.
- 12:51Speaker 2: You know there are a lot of games on the plate that we thought they're not great watches and all of a sudden we had three games, you know, come down to the last quarter, the last five minutes.
- 12:59Speaker 2: Even gold coast and carlton was pretty good all night long.
- 13:03Speaker 2: But this this saturday, really, if we're going to give it a name, I'm going to call it Scary Saturday, because there was some, you know, some race harps and stuff during the game for the players, the coaches, the spectators, for pretty much all eight teams we played today.
- 13:16Speaker 2: And we start with Richmond versus St Kilda at the MCG.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Now for Richmond and St Kilda.
- 13:20Speaker 2: These are teams who are both the seasons are over.
- 13:24Speaker 2: They in St Kilda, these are teams who are both this the seasons are over.
- 13:26Speaker 2: They're just playing for personal pride at this point and they're just playing for the satisfaction of going out and having fun and playing footy, which is what it's all about.
- 13:30Speaker 2: And both of these teams played, you know, a very, very good game.
- 13:34Speaker 2: It was a very close game all day, you know, throughout the game.
- 13:37Speaker 2: And then neither team sort of got a breakaway.
- 13:40Speaker 2: St Kilda got a small breakaway come end of the end of the first quarter.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Then Richmond come back and then it was pretty much goal for goal, point for point, from that point on towards the end of the game.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Now, the final scores in this one were Richmond 7, 10, 52, st Kilda 8, 8, 56.
- 13:54Speaker 2: So, richmond, a little bit more scoreboard accuracy could have flipped this game for you, but still not a horrible effort nonetheless.
- 14:01Speaker 2: You know 17 scoring shots to 16 scoring shots.
- 14:04Speaker 2: You know one one flip either way and this game is a completely different game.
- 14:08Speaker 2: But well done to both of these sides.
- 14:10Speaker 2: You know St Kilda, a team historically would lose these games.
- 14:14Speaker 2: You know they get one here and I was against a bottom end Richmond.
- 14:18Speaker 2: But this Richmond team this year surprised a lot of people.
- 14:20Speaker 2: That surprised me, played really well, got a couple of wins.
- 14:22Speaker 2: I thought at a point this was going to be another one on their list this year.
- 14:25Speaker 2: Just couldn't finish it off against the saints at the mcg to kick off scary saturday.
- 14:31Speaker 2: And I'll go straight to my player of the game who is from saint kilda.
- 14:34Speaker 2: It is cal wilkie from saint kilda.
- 14:36Speaker 1: 136 afl fantasy 29 touches, 25 kicks, four handballs, 16 mark and two tackles yeah, really does look interesting to say there is a few games to share, both just playing for fun.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Low scoring yeah, 58-56, 7-10-52.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Well done, toussaint Gilder, but the crowd was 41,395.
- 15:01Speaker 1: It's pretty a good crowd, mcg, not 20-25,000-G.
- 15:04Speaker 1: It's a really good crowd, mcg, not 20-25,000th a G.
- 15:05Speaker 1: It'sa really MCG, I would say.
- 15:07Speaker 1: But getting to really my thoughts, do you believe Richmond better before me, and I said this last week or four and a half ago.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Yeah, last week when they played GJS, after the whole ball lost, richmond will bounce back and they did big time and it was in front of their Richmond supporters.
- 15:24Speaker 1: St Kilda, well done, holding on another win.
- 15:27Speaker 1: These are the wins to make successful and to make yes, they're not, maybe not playing finals.
- 15:33Speaker 1: Okay, the seasons they all know that Richmond has surprised me in a lot of ways and they've got so much talent and they only have good time.
- 15:40Speaker 1: They're like brothers on a footy field and that is what all are about.
- 15:45Speaker 1: They change it all about.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Look, st Kilda's had one of those seasons that they will be in the games and struggle, same with Richmond.
- 15:54Speaker 1: That's what I understand with Richmond point of view.
- 15:57Speaker 1: But I think Richmond are a lot better and what surprised me in a lot of ways and I'll give them more footy credit.
- 16:03Speaker 1: But there's not much to say of the player of the game.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Look, this fella deserves, and he's from Richmond.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Ryan Manshell includes 17 spots, 5 months, 7 tackles, 94 A's for fans and he was a 32% defensive, half 68% forward, half $2, 6th score in involvement.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Well done to Ryan Marshall from the Richmond Star Forward.
- 16:28Speaker 1: We come to the second game for Southside 40.
- 16:32Speaker 1: We have the last two.
- 16:34Speaker 1: This is the second time this season.
- 16:37Speaker 1: The grand final rematch is now in Brisbane at the Gala, the 2024 Premier's taking on the 2024 Runners, runners, runners up.
- 16:46Speaker 1: It's Brisbane versus Sydney.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Final score 13-14-92, 13-12-19,.
- 16:53Speaker 1: You go to Brisbane, it's not easy.
- 16:55Speaker 1: You go to LA, you go to Geelong, you go to Canberra, you go, doesn't matter.
- 16:59Speaker 1: You go to Perth, and boy are there games.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Who will share those things?
- 17:02Speaker 1: Sydney, sydney travelled a big road trip, may not far, but it's a trip, a two point victory.
- 17:08Speaker 1: Take, enjoy it, but you need to get back.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Sydney, take on your next challenge.
- 17:12Speaker 1: I think you'll do well against the East Exeter, but the crowd attendance for this was 34,031 424.
- 17:19Speaker 1: Another story out at the gutter.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Well, sydney came out well, not much Brisbane.
- 17:23Speaker 1: They did so well against Connywood and some reason they came and they were taking on Sydney and they could not get themselves in front.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Well, brisbane did not lead at all.
- 17:32Speaker 1: All game, final quarter.
- 17:33Speaker 1: It was only once to win.
- 17:34Speaker 1: Sydney holding on Brisbane knows they'll bounce back next week against Friantle in Perth, which will really be the solve of who is going to finish in that top four.
- 17:43Speaker 1: It's not end of the world to not win that game because you'll learn from a loss which is common in football.
- 17:49Speaker 1: As I said, learn from a loss from Brisbane season are over big test against Frenzel in Perth, which you never know.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Frenzel, it can be shaky on and Sydney will be back.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Scg against Geelong what a contest that will be.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Good Sunday afternoon, paul, all right.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Isaac Henney Well done.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Sydney Midfielder Took up one of the marks of the Bale in my opinion he's actually a domino and one of my nominees.
- 18:16Speaker 1: So that well done to that, isaac Henney.
- 18:19Speaker 1: Including 23 exposures, six marks, five goals, 114 A's offensively 32%, defensive half, 68%, 4, half, 10, score involvement 10, score involvement 26, center bounce attendance.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Free clearances.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Well done, isaac and Ian from the Sydney.
- 18:36Speaker 1: Next, the second time they met from last year's grand final from the Lions and the Swans.
- 18:44Speaker 1: Is that the cover?
- 18:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I watched the back end of this game and I thought, you know, there were plenty of times where I thought that you know, this game was one and done for Sydney, especially back end of the third quarter.
- 18:55Speaker 2: They got a big lead and I thought that's it, we're about to turn it off.
- 18:58Speaker 2: No, Brisbane, come back.
- 18:59Speaker 2: Fourth quarter, sydney, start playing well, get out another goal, couple of points there in the end that actually end up helping them win.
- 19:06Speaker 2: I thought that's that.
- 19:07Speaker 2: But Brisbane, brisbane, come back, make a game of it, make a real, real effort of it.
- 19:12Speaker 2: In that last three minutes Running out of time, unfortunately, if the game had gone for another say 10, 20 seconds, I think they could have got another forward entry and won that game.
- 19:22Speaker 2: But that's football for you you win some, you lose some.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Sydney, you know, just built off the back of that really strong first quarter where it was five goals to three, and then, you know, second quarter, they played, you know, held a lead, extended it in the third and then just pushed enough in the last to keep that lead there.
- 19:40Speaker 2: You know, whatever it needed to be, I think that they're going to be disappointed that they let Brisbane in with half a chance at the end there, but they're still going to take the win in the end.
- 19:47Speaker 2: 2026, Sydney are going to be back in that top four.
- 19:50Speaker 2: I pretty much guarantee that at this point For Brisbane.
- 19:53Speaker 2: Tough loss for them, you know, top four on the line for them.
- 19:56Speaker 2: Luckily for them, they have the draw that they got earlier in the year against North Melbourne.
- 20:00Speaker 2: So North Melbourne.
- 20:01Speaker 2: So we're getting to the point now where I think that two points is going to be of assistance to them rather than of a detriment to them.
- 20:08Speaker 2: So you know they've got a couple of big opponents coming up.
- 20:12Speaker 2: I think Brisbane's last two from having a look, I believe it's Fremantle and Hawthorne are their last two.
- 20:17Speaker 2: So there are some tough opponents on the way in, you know, and Sydney, albeit where they are this season, still tough opponents nonetheless At Sydney, albeit where they are this season, still tough opponents nonetheless At Sydney, they are still a very strong side when they have everyone available and they do it again against Brisbane here.
- 20:30Speaker 2: And yeah, Ben, as you said, absolutely masterclass out of the midfield for Isaac Heaney, so he's also going to be my player of the game.
- 20:37Speaker 1: No worries, so I actually did not watch this game, but that's okay.
- 20:42Speaker 1: But when you're ready, we're so intrigued into we come to saturday night football.
- 20:48Speaker 1: So I'll let you share the blues and the suns right now as we head to marvel stadium for the first saturday doubleheader oh, thank you for that.
- 20:59Speaker 2: Okay, saturday night, marvel stadium, carlton and gold coast an interesting one, you know, normally the Blues do like to play at the G, so Marvel.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Well, the fate of the last couple of years, it's not, you know, typically a home, home game for them and Gold Coast always, you know, historically sketchy on the road.
- 21:17Speaker 2: This year a little bit better, but this is this was one that was a key win away for them here.
- 21:22Speaker 2: Gold Coast, as they win this one, 13-15, 93, 11-8, 74 over the Blues A very, very strong start from probably Cardin probably had the better of the start.
- 21:31Speaker 2: You know, holding Gold Coast early on Got a little bit of a lead, got a little bit of momentum in that, you know, the mid-stage of that first quarter and then Gold Coast just started to run down through the back end of the first second.
- 21:42Speaker 2: The third Quarter really cemented that lead and then nearly another last quarter comeback again.
- 21:48Speaker 2: They've come very close in a lot of these last quarters this year.
- 21:51Speaker 2: The Blues that's been their real letdown.
- 21:53Speaker 2: They can get so close in most games and they have one really good quarter, normally the last quarter or the first quarter, and then those middle quarters are their weakness, if they can come out next year and show that their middle quarters are stronger than they are this year, I think they're going to be in a much better position than they are right now.
- 22:10Speaker 2: As for gold coast, they get the win.
- 22:11Speaker 2: You know they held carlin's momentum when they needed to got a couple of breaks ball bouncing their way.
- 22:16Speaker 2: Take advantage of that, score goals.
- 22:17Speaker 2: That what kills football teams is when you know the other teams looks like they're just starting to get a little bit of an edge, a little bit of a foothold in the game and then you just get a tap to yourself, a bounce that goes your mate's way, kicks it into the 50, forwards wide open handball over the back, run into the skull, square and kick a goal.
- 22:33Speaker 2: You know that shatters teams.
- 22:34Speaker 2: That really shatters teams, and that happened to Carlton in this one.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Just those one or two 50-50 contests just seemed to just keep going the way of Gold Coast.
- 22:50Speaker 2: You know, throughout that second quarter, without the third quarter as well, eventually they do flip a little bit back to Carlton in the last, but just too little, too late there for Carlton in this one, as Gold Coast winning here by 19, getting to be my player of the game and any other awards that we have for this one.
- 23:01Speaker 2: So the first one is we're not playing the game.
- 23:03Speaker 2: We have a triple double for people, lord of carlton 112 afl fantasy 24 touches, 13 kicks, 11 handballs, 1 mark and 12 tackles.
- 23:26Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, okay.
- 23:30Speaker 1: So we now got Carlton and Gold Coast, as we said, 24,120.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Now is that okay for a session of football with 13,?
- 23:39Speaker 1: You know, with the final score 13-15, 93-11, 874-19.
- 23:44Speaker 1: For the winners, we're on Gold Coast Another win that came in their first final in club history.
- 23:49Speaker 1: Now, if for some reason it does happen, I think they are safe.
- 23:53Speaker 1: Gold Coast supporters, listen to this clear, I'm not being nasty.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Get behind your team in a big way.
- 23:59Speaker 1: Really get behind your team, because this is your chance in Gold Coast's history.
- 24:04Speaker 1: I would be even on my la la quote support.
- 24:08Speaker 1: I'll be supporting my team, but the situation, I'll also support your team as well.
- 24:13Speaker 1: You know it's something that a lot of supporters will be doing that.
- 24:17Speaker 1: So that's what I'm saying.
- 24:18Speaker 1: It's a good win.
- 24:19Speaker 1: You know it's not your favorite statement on the damning hard work, but it's what his.
- 24:24Speaker 1: He's won a couple games.
- 24:25Speaker 1: You have connected really well.
- 24:27Speaker 1: You've got some great talent.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Use it.
- 24:29Speaker 1: No injuries, stay in injury free wherever you can.
- 24:32Speaker 1: I know you've got a good and you're quite hard on the goal code.
- 24:36Speaker 1: So really make sure you get a sold out crowd if you do get a home final, whenever you do get in the final series, because I'm going to say this is going to be massive.
- 24:52Speaker 1: But anyway, look, carlton Broderick, for 19 points.
- 24:54Speaker 1: It's not like it's a 50, 60 point defeat, it is only 19.
- 24:56Speaker 1: So, as much as you have absolutely shown that you can, you know improving each week.
- 25:01Speaker 1: You know I got a couple more weeks to go.
- 25:03Speaker 1: It's going to be interesting to know what you can do in the next effort.
- 25:06Speaker 1: Well, heads up.
- 25:07Speaker 1: Good effort, carlton.
- 25:09Speaker 1: Never give up.
- 25:09Speaker 1: I know Goal codes, as I said.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Well done On the win.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Here we go.
- 25:13Speaker 1: The other game Look, something that a man should be in the Australian.
- 25:18Speaker 1: He's absolutely won the best but he's lost a little bit more of a contest.
- 25:22Speaker 1: But he's served my part of the game, joe Red, jared Witts from Gold Coast Suns, ruckman.
- 25:29Speaker 1: He's going 15 spots 3-0, 3-1, 1-0, 118, 8, 4-3, 60% defensive, half, 40% forward, half Six score involvement, 24 centre-bounds, attendance, 49 hit-out and four cleaners.
- 25:45Speaker 1: It's well done for the big fella from Java, from the Gold Coast, sons of Brackman.
- 25:49Speaker 1: Okay, look, I'll just continue on and that's all good.
- 25:54Speaker 1: It is Saturday night, 14.
- 25:56Speaker 1: We've got the second game.
- 25:57Speaker 1: We're heading to Adelaide, south Australia, at Adelaide Oval, but Adelaide hosting Triangle Dockers and almost Adelaide claiming really the win they needed from their supporters.
- 26:08Speaker 1: And also the second last one game for Kent Kingley and Travis Bloke.
- 26:12Speaker 1: What a career for this fella against Gold Coast.
- 26:15Speaker 1: You never know what will happen as well.
- 26:19Speaker 1: Now there's more than I game.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Upsell of the round.
- 26:22Speaker 1: This is upsell of the round and this made me just clear.
- 26:27Speaker 1: Wrong saying look, port Adelaide claimed the big win in front of their Port Adelaide supporters.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Unfortunately, not on Port Adelaide's end it was.
- 26:34Speaker 1: The winner was Francil.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Final score 54-92.
- 26:39Speaker 1: Defeated the first team at 86.
- 26:40Speaker 1: 30,319.
- 26:42Speaker 1: What the fans are they?
- 26:44Speaker 1: They not packed at all.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Not great because, yeah, you're not playing good football, all that happens.
- 26:49Speaker 1: Great effort by Porto Lane Kick almost a contest and never give up your thing For full course of football.
- 26:56Speaker 1: He did maybe half of that, friantel.
- 26:59Speaker 1: Another win by the dust Big road trip Didn.
- 27:00Speaker 1: Another win by the Ducks Big road trip.
- 27:02Speaker 1: Didn't see what's happening with that free-hunt.
- 27:04Speaker 1: Were the team to win and make it into a close one.
- 27:07Speaker 1: No, didn't really see this as a close game.
- 27:09Speaker 1: We know that Holding on Winston wins.
- 27:12Speaker 1: 6-point victory, winston for LA.
- 27:14Speaker 1: It has been a challenging year but this is one of the best games you'll see.
- 27:18Speaker 1: One of their key defenders, formoswornine now have kicked the goal almost was very close my play of the game, but Shea Bolton has come to be my play of the game.
- 27:29Speaker 1: From Shea Bolton, from Flanders, the midfielder forward.
- 27:33Speaker 1: Well done on your performance 19 disposals, 6 marks, 3 tackles, 2 goals, 93, 23% defence power.
- 27:42Speaker 1: We've got 77% forward half One goal, six, 11 score improvements.
- 27:46Speaker 1: Well done, shane Bolton.
- 27:47Speaker 1: From the Financial Doctors, meet forward.
- 27:49Speaker 1: All right, then take it away from the Port Adelaide Financial Game.
- 27:53Speaker 2: What a game this was this was again another classic game to close out Scary Saturday, because I know the Fraser boys were absolutely heart in mouth at some point during this game.
- 28:06Speaker 2: You know you have Port zero goal before a quarter time and you're at four goal at a quarter time and then Port come out and kick eight one in the second quarter.
- 28:14Speaker 2: Yeah, that came out of nowhere.
- 28:16Speaker 2: I was watching, as I said, I was watching Gold Coast in Carlton and they had the Port Freo score in the top of the screen because I was watching it on the Fox box and I looked up five minutes.
- 28:27Speaker 2: It's quarter time.
- 28:28Speaker 2: I look up again, porter in the lead and I made some form of noise and that's all I can describe that as Port, you know really played third quarter.
- 28:37Speaker 2: You know three goal to two in the third quarter, so they probably should have locked it down there.
- 28:42Speaker 2: But framing out offensively.
- 28:43Speaker 2: You know playing third quarter, so they probably should have locked it down there, but framing out offensively.
- 28:46Speaker 2: You know playing what they do best defensive footy.
- 28:47Speaker 2: You know they they lock, pull you onto two goals in the last, then they kick forward two of their own in the final quarter, including the one that wins them the game from their captain alex p, who regularly is a key defender, floats forward, gets involved, does what he needs to do to win the game.
- 29:02Speaker 2: That's what a good captain does.
- 29:04Speaker 2: That's what a captain needs to be doing doing the extra work to get the job done for his team.
- 29:10Speaker 2: Pearce, getting Freo over the line here in this one by six in the end.
- 29:15Speaker 2: So the Dockers go on to beat the power here.
- 29:17Speaker 2: Final scores were 13-14, 92, 13-8, 86.
- 29:22Speaker 2: You know not much to really be complaining about, freeman.
- 29:24Speaker 2: I'm just locking up Port in that last quarter, giving them the win.
- 29:27Speaker 2: I'll go through some of the stats of my player of the game now.
- 29:29Speaker 2: So first thing that I noticed here is that we have a triple-double from a legend, from a member of a football club who will live, you know, long into the future, Travis Boak, and it gives me great pleasure to say this as well.
- 29:45Speaker 2: Travis bloke, travis boke, get a bj show triple double here.
- 29:49Speaker 2: 22 touches, 11 kicks, 11 handballs, 10 mark, 103 afl fantasy.
- 29:55Speaker 2: And you know, just for that I'm going to give you my play of the game as well awesome.
- 29:59Speaker 1: So you're talking about what good captains do keep goals, win goals.
- 30:03Speaker 1: Do you remember the Jordan Dawson showdown a few years ago?
- 30:07Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's what I'm talking about is you do the little things, you float, you move around where you need it to, and when the ball falls to you, you call your own number, you deliver.
- 30:19Speaker 2: I've watched so many great captains do that.
- 30:22Speaker 1: It's also the high tackle from a former pro.
- 30:26Speaker 1: Nick Mahenry Got a high tackle and Jordan Dawson like it was one of the best goals on the Northern End.
- 30:34Speaker 1: Members, western End, he can kick the goal and since he I think that was the year it was a few years ago and you know Port Adelaide were a pretty good team in that time slot and when LA won that game showdowns failed.
- 30:48Speaker 1: It's been in front of LA Coast for some time.
- 30:50Speaker 1: We totally controlled that.
- 30:52Speaker 1: You know that league but you never know what Port LA can do and I think early in the year this year Port LA looking pretty good and then fortunately they won the game.
- 31:01Speaker 1: But it was just I went to that showdown just a few weeks back and unbelievable, but unfortunately haven't seen that.
- 31:11Speaker 1: You know winning close games and well done to the financial.
- 31:12Speaker 1: You know, alex Pearce, I mean to say that.
- 31:14Speaker 1: But yeah, no worries.
- 31:15Speaker 1: So, all right, three more games to go and just keeping it in time and flying.
- 31:21Speaker 1: So Super Saturday, super Sunday Ticket it's known for Fox 40.
- 31:27Speaker 1: If you haven't known, fox 40 is a channel here in Australia.
- 31:31Speaker 1: If you listen it's around the globe.
- 31:34Speaker 1: So it is a subscription.
- 31:36Speaker 1: You can watch this on KO and what they're known as Sunday Ticket Football, but I like Super Sunday all the time, so it was Super Saturday and Sunday, so especially Session Sunday.
- 31:46Speaker 1: So we've got three games to share and really don't want to miss out on one of the games, even both of them the last two games of the round.
- 31:53Speaker 1: So, aidan, if that's all right with you, I'll let you share this first one Before I do that.
- 31:59Speaker 1: So the first game we head to Canberra, gdl is Giants versus North Melbourne.
- 32:03Speaker 1: Then we head back to Melbourne at MCG Melbourne versus Western Bulldogs.
- 32:07Speaker 1: What will be even my thoughts of the game of the round.
- 32:10Speaker 1: It's the 2021 Grand Final rematch and I think this should be in the Grand Final rematch back then.
- 32:17Speaker 1: But we'll see that very soon and this is the game you don't want to miss the West Coast LA Crows.
- 32:25Speaker 1: So, a aiden, take it away for the giants in the roos, as known off melbourne, the king canberra.
- 32:29Speaker 2: We're going to sports, all right ladies and gentlemen, welcome to canberra, where it's freezing cold in the middle of winter.
- 32:37Speaker 2: No, it's canberra.
- 32:39Speaker 2: You gotta be down there, hey?
- 32:40Speaker 2: I know people from canberra, like my family, lives there, so they're not from Canberra.
- 32:45Speaker 2: That's too hard to say.
- 32:47Speaker 2: Just call it Canberra and be done with it.
- 32:49Speaker 2: It's a little bowl in the middle of nowhere.
- 32:51Speaker 2: Anyway, back with the footy.
- 32:53Speaker 2: Gws North Melbourne.
- 32:55Speaker 2: I think this one, you know, probably was one of the more standard results that we'd come to expect this week GWS winning this one by 54 points.
- 33:04Speaker 2: This was probably the only, you know, straightforward game we had all around.
- 33:08Speaker 2: Gws, you know, far and away better than north.
- 33:11Speaker 2: 2013 133, 79, sorry, 12, 7, 79 for north melbourne, which is, you know, for north.
- 33:18Speaker 2: I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna, I'm not gonna berate you this week, nor you're safe from me berate you this week, nor You're safe from me berating you this week.
- 33:23Speaker 2: Don't worry, I'll come back for you next week.
- 33:26Speaker 2: But GWS, you know, do business as usual.
- 33:29Speaker 2: They're getting a little bit of a long air about them around.
- 33:32Speaker 2: This kind of finals time of year where you know nothing seems to faze them.
- 33:36Speaker 2: You know their own tsunami starts to rise in August, september, and it's picked it up right now, right when they needed it, trying to push for the eight.
- 33:45Speaker 2: You know they've got key games.
- 33:46Speaker 2: They've got key matchups the next two weeks that will determine if they're in or not, but they'll start with Gold Coast next week and then I've got another big one in round 24 as well, so that could be key for them.
- 33:55Speaker 2: You know they do get the job done here over in North Melbourne.
- 33:58Speaker 2: As I said, you know, and for and for North, I'm actually pretty happy with their performance.
- 34:03Speaker 2: They were probably never truly in the contest at any point, but they kept up their scoring and they didn't falter in attack.
- 34:10Speaker 2: And that's something that I've got to look towards next year and be like even if we are getting bashed and beaten to smithereens defensively, the least we can do is the forward end can start to gel around Larky and Zerhat and Curtis and just keep producing results, because that's what you need to do.
- 34:28Speaker 2: Eventually, the defense will pick up as players get more game time, develop themselves into more high-level AFL players.
- 34:36Speaker 2: Main thing this week is you're getting goals on the board, even in these big defeats.
- 34:39Speaker 2: I mean the scoreline was five goals, five goals, six goals and four goals to GWS.
- 34:44Speaker 2: To North it was two, two, five and three, so even the scoring's picked up there for North as well.
- 34:50Speaker 2: So a lot to look forward to in the next couple of years for North Melbourne there as well.
- 34:54Speaker 2: We'll go into my player of the game now, and there's only one player that I'm thinking of for this one, and it's Toby Green from GWS 128 AFL Fantasy 3 goals, 23 touches, 18 kicks, 5 handballs, 10 marks and 4 tackles for Toby.
- 35:10Speaker 1: Yeah, so we do head to whatever you said, but I like saying Canberra, canberra, canberra, whatever Sound like he's saying from Canada.
- 35:20Speaker 1: Anyway, I really like 11,753.
- 35:25Speaker 1: Well, pretty good efforts.
- 35:27Speaker 1: Virginia S Giants versus North Melbourne.
- 35:30Speaker 1: First game, 20 goals for team, 133, defeated 12,779.
- 35:35Speaker 1: So, like on credit what you said, well, effort to North Melbourne.
- 35:39Speaker 1: They never give up all game and this is what's something, that they're coming together.
- 35:43Speaker 1: They're not on the bottom part of that ladder.
- 35:45Speaker 1: They need to rise the occasion.
- 35:47Speaker 1: They've gone down a little bit.
- 35:48Speaker 1: They need to do something better than ever.
- 35:50Speaker 1: So, either way, I don't look at them.
- 35:53Speaker 1: Yes, judo is needed to win that game with saying that top eight, even that six and eight, place third and money west and board off.
- 36:01Speaker 1: We'll share them very soon, making us them stay and want to play finals and are holding their breath from that.
- 36:06Speaker 1: But going back to this game, look, 12 goals For North Melbourne.
- 36:10Speaker 1: It's showing me that they can score 80 points.
- 36:13Speaker 1: They can totally do it.
- 36:15Speaker 1: They haven't seen that for a while.
- 36:16Speaker 1: But improvements with scoring with that is great.
- 36:20Speaker 1: Best of luck with North Melbourne as they will take on Richmond at the Indian Stadium, which they's a chance to win this game.
- 36:26Speaker 1: I really think, yes, okay, richmond are looking really like maybe a slightly better, but North Melbourne will have a chance to play.
- 36:35Speaker 1: They have not won in Tasmania at Nijan Stadium in such a long time and a pretty good chance for that.
- 36:41Speaker 1: But GDLS Giants, yes, they take Gold Coast, as you mentioned.
- 36:44Speaker 1: We'll share that very soon.
- 36:45Speaker 1: You know, at people's best, damien will be absolutely a really good hot contest and Gold Coast do not want to muck around with that bit but, far and beyond, where's Depp to apply the game?
- 36:56Speaker 1: Really, this man absolutely dominates against the odds of Colin Brown from GDLS Giant forward.
- 37:03Speaker 1: Eight touches, eight proposals, five marks, two tackles, 78 A's, 76 A's for fans.
- 37:08Speaker 1: So, team five goals 43% defensive, half 57% forward, half five score involvements.
- 37:14Speaker 1: Well done, colin Brown from the GTS Giant Forward.
- 37:21Speaker 1: So, yes, I mentioned this in the intro.
- 37:22Speaker 1: Not much to really have to say about this game.
- 37:24Speaker 1: And boy, this is what I call Scary Sunday.
- 37:28Speaker 1: Why do you call yourself Scary Sunday?
- 37:30Speaker 1: This is one that made you being a 2021 Grand Final at the stadium and it's not meant to be.
- 37:39Speaker 1: Then we go back to Melbourne MCG, the 2021 April Grand Final win mate One, saying that is actually one of the best games of for the round and very much the second of under or in that, one goal margin.
- 37:52Speaker 1: So 34,733 packed MCG no, it doesn't feel like finals football.
- 37:58Speaker 1: Well, more like that is this thing having to be crowded.
- 38:00Speaker 1: What this game part of the game is all about is one team Western Bulldogs is coming for the finals and that's what they're doing.
- 38:09Speaker 1: Melbourne, not playing finals for the season and always giving their guy and having fun.
- 38:13Speaker 1: 15-15, 105-15-999.
- 38:15Speaker 1: Well done to the Dogs, to the Western Bulldogs.
- 38:18Speaker 1: They are hungry, they are hoping to find and win and they're doing it, staying in the race for the finals and what Western Bordeaux can do is win.
- 38:26Speaker 1: That's all they have to do, but also playing the way that they're going to do it.
- 38:30Speaker 1: Melbourne, bad Luck always.
- 38:32Speaker 1: Next week against Wolfram MCG on Saturday afternoon 40.
- 38:36Speaker 1: We'll share very soon Western Bordeaux.
- 38:38Speaker 1: Well, they take on West Coast Now.
- 38:39Speaker 1: We'll share this game really soon, the final game.
- 38:42Speaker 1: But I've got to say right now I have Western Bulls up ahead to play attack on West Coast.
- 38:46Speaker 1: Because I've got to say this right now don't take West Coast lightly.
- 38:49Speaker 1: They have shown what they can do and they have not done that in a long time, not even this season.
- 38:54Speaker 1: They've proven they can do it, and boy, I can't wait to share this.
- 38:58Speaker 1: So really not good.
- 39:00Speaker 1: My moment of the round would be that one, but we've had the game.
- 39:05Speaker 1: Monk's responsibility from the Western Bulldogs We've had to include 30 feet Spurs, five marks, five tackles, five marks, five tackles, 120, april fans 60% defensive, half 40% forward, half nine scrum involvements 685 meters game 25% of center bounce attendance 9 scrums involvement 685 metres gained 25% of centre bounce attendance, 7 in sub-50s and 7 clearances.
- 39:28Speaker 1: Wow, that's a very lucky number, double 7s in that.
- 39:32Speaker 1: Well done to Monk as well.
- 39:34Speaker 1: From the captain of the Western Bulldogs, mick Fielder, aidan Kingsley.
- 39:38Speaker 1: From the Demons and the Bulldogs MCG.
- 39:41Speaker 1: Second game MCG.
- 39:43Speaker 2: Yeah, tough week for Melbourne to start with.
- 39:45Speaker 2: Obviously, they sack Simon Goodwood midweek, so Troy Chaplin's going to be coaching them the rest of the year.
- 39:52Speaker 2: So he coached this weekend.
- 39:53Speaker 2: He coached the next two games for them as well.
- 39:55Speaker 2: This was a really good turnaround from Melbourne.
- 39:58Speaker 2: Western Bulldogs playing for finals.
- 40:00Speaker 2: They just wanted more.
- 40:01Speaker 2: They want it more because you don't want to be the one who misses out when there's a clear top nine.
- 40:07Speaker 2: There's eight spots available, nine teams genuinely in it this year, and the one who misses out is going to be sitting there in September feeling a little bit sorry for himself.
- 40:15Speaker 2: Bulldogs know that.
- 40:17Speaker 2: They've felt that before.
- 40:18Speaker 2: They don't want to do it again.
- 40:23Speaker 2: From Bulldogs' perspective, knowing what that do it again it's not a from Bulldogs perspective, knowing what that feels like, it's not fun.
- 40:26Speaker 2: You won't be playing your best footy in September, not sitting at home watching other teams playing on to this game, though, melbourne, as I said, played a lot better than they have the last couple of weeks.
- 40:34Speaker 2: You know, really getting in the contest here and really keeping it very, very open.
- 40:40Speaker 2: Really strong third quarter from Melbourne where they kick seven goals.
- 40:43Speaker 2: You know and you'd think at some point that's enough, you know, but Bulldogs, you know, towards the back end of that last quarter really showed that they are a genuine threat for finals.
- 40:54Speaker 2: If they make it, they can be a challenging opposition.
- 40:57Speaker 2: You know, there's definitely some teams I think that they match up well against if they get there.
- 41:01Speaker 2: But that's what they're playing for now is to get their Melbourne not having to play for something.
- 41:11Speaker 2: They have to play for their pride, their respect for Troy Chaplin.
- 41:12Speaker 2: But there's nothing of great value.
- 41:13Speaker 2: I would say to finals for Melbourne this year.
- 41:14Speaker 2: Next year they're going to be back.
- 41:16Speaker 2: If they play like this, next year they're going to be back for sure.
- 41:18Speaker 2: I guarantee that.
- 41:19Speaker 2: But Western Bordeaux, this is all about them.
- 41:21Speaker 2: They took the ups and downs of this game.
- 41:23Speaker 2: They got the result in the end.
- 41:25Speaker 2: They beat Melbourne in the end.
- 41:27Speaker 2: Final scores 15-15, 105, 15-9, 99s, like 15 goalie, by just more scoreboard involved a scoreboard pressure from Western Bordeaux, their scoreboard, you know accumulation from Western Bordeaux there.
- 41:38Speaker 2: So, and for Melbourne, they just one more scoring shot on goal and they tie this game Two more.
- 41:45Speaker 2: They get a win.
- 41:45Speaker 2: So that's the fine margins of playing finals footy or not playing finals footy for Western Bulldogs this year.
- 41:51Speaker 2: And they're proving that they're up to the number.
- 41:53Speaker 2: They had a close game against Adelaide a couple of weeks ago that really set Adelaide off and I think this win here for them really sets them off for the back end of the year as they play to make it into the top eight.
- 42:02Speaker 2: My player of the game for this one 125 AFL fantasy, 24 touches, 12 kicks, 12 handballs, six marks and 12 tackles for Tom Liberatore.
- 42:12Speaker 1: Another triple-double as well.
- 42:14Speaker 1: Van Pert, yes you are.
- 42:15Speaker 1: There you go, so I love it.
- 42:18Speaker 1: Wow, ladies and gentlemen, grandparents, dogs and pussycats.
- 42:22Speaker 1: Wow, this, I'm going to save it for the last.
- 42:26Speaker 1: If Aiden's ready, this is not just a hold in breath.
- 42:29Speaker 1: We head to the stadium West Coast.
- 42:33Speaker 1: That's our lane, aiden, I'll let you share the family.
- 42:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I couldn't believe it when I saw this at all either.
- 42:41Speaker 2: So you know, adelaide and and west coast, this is the polar ends of the of the planets right now.
- 42:45Speaker 2: This is the team striving for a minor premiership and the grand final and the premiership against the ultimate rung of the ladder in west coast.
- 42:55Speaker 2: Adelaide make a strategic decision in the week resting taylor walker and they just get away with it.
- 43:02Speaker 2: And they get away with it by the skin of their teeth.
- 43:06Speaker 2: As first quarter, adelaide look dominant towards the back end.
- 43:09Speaker 2: West Coast do get goals early but Adelaide look like they're about to put the foot down.
- 43:12Speaker 2: Back end of the first quarter.
- 43:14Speaker 2: They finish the first quarter five goals for the Crows, three for West Coast.
- 43:18Speaker 2: Second new quarter, new story, all West Coast Three goals for the Eagles, two points for the Crows.
- 43:28Speaker 2: Then in the final quarter it goes around in roundabouts as it goes again West Coast, four goals, adelaide, four goals, west Coast just having a lead as we go into the final change.
- 43:45Speaker 2: Final quarter, west coast are the ones who start.
- 43:48Speaker 2: Well, they get the first goal of the quarter.
- 43:50Speaker 2: Then the crows come back and look to show who they are.
- 43:55Speaker 2: They do they show.
- 43:56Speaker 2: You know.
- 43:57Speaker 2: The quarter falls away.
- 43:58Speaker 2: For adelaide final quarter adelaide kicking four goals three.
- 44:01Speaker 2: West Coast two goals two.
- 44:02Speaker 2: Adelaide winning this one by nine points 39, 87, 12, 6, 78.
- 44:09Speaker 2: This was probably one of, if not one of, the games of the year.
- 44:13Speaker 2: You know, just thinking about the polar disposition of the the two sides for.
- 44:18Speaker 2: For West Coast, this is again just like North Melbourne.
- 44:20Speaker 2: You avoided me yelling at you for this week.
- 44:23Speaker 2: Guess who gets yelled at this week.
- 44:24Speaker 2: Adelaide are taking it this week because I'm sorry.
- 44:24Speaker 2: This week, again just like north melbourne.
- 44:25Speaker 2: You avoided me yelling at you for this week.
- 44:26Speaker 2: Guess who gets yelled at this way.
- 44:27Speaker 2: Adelaide are taking it this way because I'm sorry.
- 44:28Speaker 2: This week has just proven how much taylor walker means to this club.
- 44:30Speaker 2: Surely trying to transition the forward line over to darcy fogarty and, more importantly, riley philthorpe.
- 44:35Speaker 2: But you serve up that.
- 44:36Speaker 2: You nearly cough it up.
- 44:38Speaker 2: Against the lowly, pathetic west coast.
- 44:40Speaker 2: You have one win against an also lowly, pathetic West Coast.
- 44:43Speaker 2: He had one win against an also lowly, somehow even more pathetic St Kilda.
- 44:46Speaker 2: Adelaide, this is not a time to take your foot off the gas.
- 44:49Speaker 2: You need to go all gas, no brakes.
- 44:52Speaker 2: At this time of the year, you are one win away from a minor premiership.
- 44:56Speaker 2: You play Collingwood next week.
- 44:58Speaker 2: You win that.
- 44:59Speaker 2: You are the minor premiers.
- 45:00Speaker 2: That is it.
- 45:01Speaker 2: You nearly stuffed it up here against West Coast.
- 45:04Speaker 2: So when you look at the schedule, if this comes around next year, do not rest players when the race is still on.
- 45:10Speaker 2: Rest them when it's over, because if you beat Collingwood, next week you play North Melbourne, you play North Melbourne, you play North Melbourne.
- 45:16Speaker 2: You can rest Huff, you can rest Walker.
- 45:25Speaker 2: You can rest Phil Thorpe, you can rest Doddelson.
- 45:26Speaker 2: You can rest Laird.
- 45:26Speaker 2: You can rest Buck, you can rest Miller, you can rest Keane.
- 45:28Speaker 2: Just to begin with.
- 45:28Speaker 2: But it's not over yet.
- 45:29Speaker 2: Get to that point.
- 45:29Speaker 2: First, you nearly threw away a minor premiership because you thought Tyler Wilker should have a week off playing as West Coast.
- 45:36Speaker 2: Now West Coast all credit to them played a bloody good game, but this should never have happened.
- 45:41Speaker 2: This poor gentleman sitting next to me should never have had to sit through his beloved adelaide.
- 45:46Speaker 2: Crows nearly get the life taken out of them by west coast in 2025.
- 45:52Speaker 2: We're gonna go to my player of the game now and talking about all of those crows players who they could have rested, it is going to be jordan dawson.
- 46:01Speaker 2: 147 AFL fantasy one goal 26 touches, 18 kick, 8 handballs, 6 marks and 14 tackles.
- 46:09Speaker 1: Thank, you very much.
- 46:10Speaker 1: Thank you, can't track me self-loving.
- 46:14Speaker 1: The word pathetic is actually a really high-score fair play now.
- 46:18Speaker 1: Yeah, oh, I was watching this game with Mum, by the way, and boy you are.
- 46:25Speaker 1: You can't play West Coast level.
- 46:28Speaker 1: Now, before I get to the LA Crows, I just want to say credit, credit, credit.
- 46:34Speaker 1: You don't have your best show man off.
- 46:37Speaker 1: He's on the sideline, injured, highly read.
- 46:40Speaker 1: He's smiling, enjoying a time off, smiling in the coach's box.
- 46:45Speaker 1: We're just him in the box watching the game.
- 46:47Speaker 1: You know you don't have Harley Reid out there.
- 46:50Speaker 1: Why is Ryan Young on this coach?
- 46:52Speaker 1: You know this is ethics.
- 46:53Speaker 1: This is what the supporters have been waiting all year.
- 46:58Speaker 1: Do it each week at home.
- 46:59Speaker 1: You know you go to the chants against Richmond, for goodness sake, and you've got an absolute belt.
- 47:02Speaker 1: Yes, you know you had a chance against Richmond for a game of six and you got absolutely bound.
- 47:04Speaker 1: Yes, you had Harley Wheat in that team Makes a big difference when you perform your game style and you did it.
- 47:10Speaker 1: You almost passed the test.
- 47:12Speaker 1: Now, in favor of that 20.
- 47:14Speaker 1: If I got this correct, collingwood upset West Coast.
- 47:17Speaker 1: It's Collingwood with 18.
- 47:19Speaker 1: So that makes a big difference.
- 47:21Speaker 1: If I got that theory correct, west Coast would upset the top players.
- 47:25Speaker 1: West Coast so opens up or 2006, I think that was.
- 47:30Speaker 1: It tells me that 19 years later in AFL history that West Coast almost did get to the top players Almost Not as Almost.
- 47:40Speaker 1: So, adelaide, you've got a big test against Coningwood.
- 47:44Speaker 1: Yes, connywood will be tested.
- 47:45Speaker 1: They lost the last couple games but they'll come out absolutely heated.
- 47:49Speaker 1: Well, we do come to the final score 13-9, 87-12, 6-7, 8.
- 47:54Speaker 1: So nine points really.
- 47:56Speaker 1: Look, you know you're sitting on top of the ladder right now, adelaide, but you know you do deserve that place absolute, and I respect that.
- 48:03Speaker 1: But you can't play their level.
- 48:10Speaker 1: We are a lot better.
- 48:11Speaker 1: You've got to play your, our LA Coast's, better football.
- 48:12Speaker 1: We've been doing it all year and boy, la Coast will learn that from that win it's common.
- 48:16Speaker 1: From a loss they will learn what they made a mistake.
- 48:18Speaker 1: You can't just lie and text Walker.
- 48:20Speaker 1: Yes, he's a great player, but you go on other players around you.
- 48:24Speaker 1: We know we can do that.
- 48:25Speaker 1: But yes, I thought LA will lead most of the game, but it was West Coast leading all game, not besides quarter time and end of the game, but during that second and third.
- 48:35Speaker 1: You know LA are pretty good with that.
- 48:36Speaker 1: You know the skills and all that were top place and you earned that.
- 48:41Speaker 1: I'll give you the order.
- 48:41Speaker 1: Go to bulldog, go to melbourne and marble good luck against bulldogs.
- 48:45Speaker 1: Won't be easy but I'll give you that credit.
- 48:47Speaker 1: Allied as well.
- 48:48Speaker 1: Take on collingwood sold out, sounds like nice 40.
- 48:51Speaker 1: We're done with that.
- 48:52Speaker 1: Allied.
- 48:53Speaker 1: Yes, well done.
- 48:53Speaker 1: Big road trip.
- 48:54Speaker 1: I have said walk in the park.
- 48:56Speaker 1: This was no walk in the park and it's common.
- 48:58Speaker 1: You can't go to perth and think you're gonna win it.
- 49:01Speaker 1: It.
- 49:01Speaker 1: That's what West Coast Pressure did and I give that four-league win Ching-ching.
- 49:07Speaker 1: Well, the ching-ching was the four points to the LA Crows.
- 49:09Speaker 1: That's all I'm going to say.
- 49:10Speaker 1: Well, the pass and not pass war with West Coast was sensational and we found ways to win kick goals and it was not easy.
- 49:19Speaker 1: Let's go through into the wheel Before we get into the part of the game.
- 49:25Speaker 1: Riley Philpott, absolute star, thought he was going to be out of the game, made that sub it was a bit soreness of the neck came out and kept the biggest goal of all time.
- 49:36Speaker 1: The devil had to make a nine-point victory.
- 49:39Speaker 1: This is what happens when it's a bit painful comes off, recover, bang.
- 49:41Speaker 1: Part of the game same.
- 49:42Speaker 1: This is what happens when it's a bit painful comes off, recover, bang Hard game.
- 49:44Speaker 1: Sam is true.
- 49:45Speaker 1: John Dawson, the Crows captain, midfielder Absolute, deserve to be mine and mine.
- 49:50Speaker 1: Well, the grand, like Absolute, in the top two.
- 49:53Speaker 1: You know he's shown what Adelaide Crows are made of.
- 49:56Speaker 1: He should be not saying this too early, but earned that Really.
- 50:01Speaker 1: Really he should be the close best of bearers as well.
- 50:03Speaker 1: I'm not saying this as me, as a close supporter.
- 50:06Speaker 1: He's up there, I'm saying that now, but not too much of the special wheelchair we're going to have very soon.
- 50:12Speaker 1: So John Dawson 26 as far as all six marks, 14 tackles, absolutely a domination display.
- 50:18Speaker 1: And it was the second half.
- 50:19Speaker 1: He did it.
- 50:19Speaker 1: One goal 147, april fan city, 45% defensive, half, 55% board, half 50-50, almost 50-50 all over the field, five score involvement 638 metres gained, 26 centre-bound attendants, 11-5-50s, five cleaners.
- 50:34Speaker 1: So I am not too sure, but I think we do have a triple-double from Jordan Dawson throwing those inside 50s.
- 50:40Speaker 1: But well done to you, captain, well done you, dawson.
- 50:44Speaker 1: So we continue on.
- 50:45Speaker 1: Now we're done and dusted with round 22.
- 50:49Speaker 1: Two more rounds.
- 50:50Speaker 1: I don't like the round 24 fixture in my life.
- 50:53Speaker 1: Ian and Aidan, I went and saw night football between that extra game from opening round.
- 50:58Speaker 1: I hate it, but it is what it is.
- 51:00Speaker 1: I didn't know, it was scheduled early in the year, but my wow, round 23.
- 51:05Speaker 1: Three views, here we go.
- 51:07Speaker 1: I am not a fan of the doubleheader, so, aidan, if that's all right, I'll let.
- 51:11Speaker 1: I'll go through my 40 tips and then you do yours, no problems.
- 51:15Speaker 1: Now we've done a dozen.
- 51:16Speaker 1: All my coolness and wow, you know.
- 51:18Speaker 1: First up, essendon, st Kiel, a bit boring but a deep.
- 51:22Speaker 1: St Kiel will take care of 25 points at Marble Stadium and I think the crowd attendance will be about 25,000 plus.
- 51:29Speaker 1: Second game this is the game that most games should be on free-to-air.
- 51:35Speaker 1: It will not be free-to-air Because guess what?
- 51:38Speaker 1: Western Australia viewers, you earned this game off the round.
- 51:42Speaker 1: In my opinion, free and2, brisbane, 1-1.
- 51:45Speaker 1: 1-1.
- 51:46Speaker 1: Brisbane handed to Western Australia 3-2,.
- 51:49Speaker 1: I come home from that six-point victory over Port Adelaide and they have.
- 51:54Speaker 1: What a game this could be.
- 51:56Speaker 1: So I'm going with 3-2.
- 51:57Speaker 1: What a game this will be.
- 51:59Speaker 1: Now I think it will be close All game.
- 52:01Speaker 1: 20 points in favour for 3-2.
- 52:02Speaker 1: Should will be.
- 52:02Speaker 1: Now I think it will be close All games.
- 52:03Speaker 1: 40 points a favour for Fragile.
- 52:04Speaker 1: Should be more.
- 52:04Speaker 1: But and I think the crowd attendance again a pretty good decent of 40 to 45,000.
- 52:09Speaker 1: In between that we come to the Super Sessing.
- 52:12Speaker 1: We have four games to share.
- 52:14Speaker 1: Here we go Go with Scott Close a couple of 32 points.
- 52:21Speaker 1: Carlton, port Adelaide, marple, steyn, carlton to win this game by where's the stay?
- 52:26Speaker 1: 15 points.
- 52:27Speaker 1: I think Port Adelaide will be in that contest and I understand this.
- 52:30Speaker 1: I think this will be upset by Colin Fainke.
- 52:33Speaker 1: I think it's 50-50 for these two.
- 52:35Speaker 1: But we come to the MCG the Cross and Marble for Hawthorne and Melbourne and the Well, hawthorne and Melbourne and well, hawthorne should take a 45 point, really a 45 point lead, but that could change and I think the crowd attention should be 30,000 at the MCG and for all, between 30 and 30, 30 or 40,000 in between.
- 52:53Speaker 1: We go to the first of two, feeling of a way to what this game should be.
- 53:00Speaker 1: La pose, collingwood heads to LA as the hot pies, as they know for, and this should be maybe the hot of the finals feeling.
- 53:10Speaker 1: La pose to hold on by eight points.
- 53:15Speaker 1: Now I'm just saying this as an idea.
- 53:18Speaker 1: Collingwood will be 65% of the game, that was almost of the game, and LA will come from nowhere to win and fight back like they did against West Coast.
- 53:27Speaker 1: That could be different.
- 53:28Speaker 1: I'm just saying this right now it will be very even in the contest.
- 53:32Speaker 1: Colin will wear all the best.
- 53:34Speaker 1: I know you'll come, but LA will hold on.
- 53:36Speaker 1: But that's the same in general football talk.
- 53:39Speaker 1: All right, we've got the last three games Before we change back to Thursday night football next week.
- 53:46Speaker 1: Which boring.
- 53:46Speaker 1: We'll share that next show.
- 53:48Speaker 1: But heading to Nick's saying, well, I'm saying this game, richmond and North Melbourne, or North Melbourne Richmond, and I'm saying this right now I think North Melbourne deserves a win and it will be close.
- 54:00Speaker 1: I think anyone can win in Richmond.
- 54:03Speaker 1: I've shown promises massively.
- 54:06Speaker 1: And North Melbourne, I think they should have got better on the table in my opinion.
- 54:11Speaker 1: Yes, they've got a lot of kids there, same as North Melbourne, a lot of talent.
- 54:15Speaker 1: By then I think it will be more way of North Melbourne by 11 points and it should be a close one as well, hopefully.
- 54:22Speaker 1: Well, we have Sydney Swans and John comes to town.
- 54:27Speaker 1: I'm going with Geelong now.
- 54:28Speaker 1: I know Sydney will win by two points and they'll enjoy it.
- 54:32Speaker 1: But how much recovery can Sydney to come back home?
- 54:35Speaker 1: They've got a one-week recovery, so it's really technically six days of recovery, not seven, because they're playing whenever they play.
- 54:44Speaker 1: But I'm driving with Sean with my 35 points, but I really think it's going to be maybe 25 points now I think it's going to be a full goal win, not six goals.
- 54:53Speaker 1: I mean it's a bit harsh saying 35, but I think Sydney will be in the game.
- 54:57Speaker 1: They need to be in that game.
- 54:59Speaker 1: They haven't performed overly great.
- 55:01Speaker 1: They do have their talent, but then yeah, I think Geelong will take care and I think Germany can work perfectly to do better in accuracy into better accuracy.
- 55:10Speaker 1: So, yeah, geelong, I said got 25 points.
- 55:13Speaker 1: Okay, dodgy, final game.
- 55:16Speaker 1: We head back to well at Marble Stadium in Melbourne.
- 55:18Speaker 1: And well, we've got for the second time for this game we have the Western Bulldogs tagging on West Coast.
- 55:25Speaker 1: Now I'm saying 20 points for West Coast to well, not West Coast Western Bulldogs to win this game.
- 55:30Speaker 1: The full pressure, that's all.
- 55:32Speaker 1: West Coast.
- 55:33Speaker 1: West Coast can do the same thing against the Western Bulldogs.
- 55:36Speaker 1: And please, junius, west Coast, do it.
- 55:37Speaker 1: Do it against the Bulldogs, because I tell you right now, you can do a top place.
- 55:42Speaker 1: You can do a top place.
- 55:43Speaker 1: You can get the team into ninth place On the road.
- 55:45Speaker 1: You can bring that, all pressure, it will work.
- 55:48Speaker 1: It will work and, trust me, I will give you credit.
- 55:52Speaker 1: If you can bring that, if you can win this game, I want to say right now that it will be the most miracle second win of the year, but I'm hoping it's going to be a 20-point victory to the Bulldogs.
- 56:03Speaker 1: All right, aidan, it's your time to share what should be an interesting round 23 quickies.
- 56:09Speaker 1: Take our all for the nine games.
- 56:12Speaker 2: Yeah, we start, as you said, essendon versus St Kilda.
- 56:15Speaker 2: I think I'm going to have to go here.
- 56:16Speaker 2: St Kilda, st Kilda Probably just that little bit better than Essendon.
- 56:19Speaker 2: But we'll be better than Essendon but will be closer to St Kilda by three goals, jumping down to Freya and Brisbane, brisbane you know, they're a little bit up and down at the moment, questions around Lockie Neal at the moment, so that one will be Fremantle.
- 56:31Speaker 2: Then we come to a game I have a real interest in.
- 56:33Speaker 2: It is Gold Coast and GWS.
- 56:35Speaker 2: A loss for GWS here could put them out of the eight with other results going their way, especially with Western Bulldogs playing West Coast.
- 56:42Speaker 2: A loss for Gold Coast doesn't hurt as much because they have the catch-up game to make up.
- 56:46Speaker 2: Although, with that said, I am going because it is in Gold Coast, I will be going with the Gold Coast.
- 56:51Speaker 2: Then we come to Carlton and Port Adelaide, and this one is an interesting one because it's Ken Hinckley versus Michael Voss, a former Port senior assistant, versus Ken Hinckley, and this one's going to go the way of the Blues.
- 57:05Speaker 2: Hawthorne and Melbourne always a traditional interesting fixture here.
- 57:07Speaker 2: This one, hawthorne playing much like GWS and Gold Coast playing for a spot in the top eight.
- 57:12Speaker 2: Hawthorne, buoyed by this, go on.
- 57:14Speaker 2: They get the win in this one.
- 57:16Speaker 2: Then we come to the one I am calling the game of the round between Adelaide and Collingwood.
- 57:20Speaker 2: I think this is going to be you know, on paper it's probably one of the best games there is.
- 57:24Speaker 2: I think it's going to be very even throughout the first half and Adelaide is going to cruise in the second.
- 57:28Speaker 2: So I'm going to take the cruise in this one Moving down to Sunday.
- 57:31Speaker 2: We start with North Melbourne, richmond and Tasmania at Bell Rave, oval no, I am not calling it Ninja Stadium At by a Tasmania.
- 57:39Speaker 2: Then we have Sydney and Geelong, and Sydney is going to ruin another team, I think.
- 57:44Speaker 2: I think Jeremy Cameron's going to kick, you know at least six, probably seven, but Sydney are going to ruin Geelong's season as well.
- 57:51Speaker 2: So, sydney, take this one.
- 57:53Speaker 2: Then we jump down to Western Bulldogs and West Coast.
- 57:54Speaker 2: As I said, western Bulldogs, they know what they're playing for.
- 57:56Speaker 2: They've been around this line for the last six or seven, well, actually the last 10 years, ever since they won a premiership in 2017.
- 58:04Speaker 2: 16, when they won the premiership there, they finished seventh.
- 58:07Speaker 2: They could probably do it again this year from down there.
- 58:09Speaker 2: But they will win this one over West Coast.
- 58:12Speaker 2: So I will go through them again quickly.
- 58:15Speaker 2: We have St Kilda beating Essendon by three goals, fremantle beating Brisbane, gold Coast versus GWS going the way of Gold Coast, carlton beating Port Adelaide, hawthorne beating Melbourne, adelaide beating Collingwood, north Melbourne beating Richmond via Tasmania, sydney ruining Geelong's season and Western Bulldogs sneaking in to the eight for the week after beating West Coast.
- 58:34Speaker 1: Interesting that Sydney's joining us.
- 58:37Speaker 1: See, geelong, I like that, so I like it so, and I like the North Melbourne winning in as by tasman's.
- 58:45Speaker 1: I call for to sack the same thing, because they're both from that.
- 58:48Speaker 1: You know the history of that, so we are going to time it out.
- 58:53Speaker 1: Thank you all.
- 58:54Speaker 1: We are done for today's show.
- 58:56Speaker 1: I hope you enjoyed.
- 58:57Speaker 1: Thank you, aiden, for another crucial, fun episode it's been a pleasure.
- 59:01Speaker 2: We've got two weeks left to footy and then we've got a final, so it's really starting to heat up.
- 59:05Speaker 2: This time of year.
- 59:06Speaker 2: We'll see who comes out on top.
- 59:07Speaker 1: Yeah, and also stay tuned for some fun shows and the 2025 BJ Show Award Show.
- 59:16Speaker 1: I can't wait for that as well, Aidan.
- 59:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 59:19Speaker 2: So award show coming up as well, we're going to have some surprises in that one.
- 59:23Speaker 2: So basically, we'll tell you now.
- 59:26Speaker 2: I'll tell you now.
- 59:27Speaker 2: But we've both come up with our own awards, as we've done the last few years.
- 59:30Speaker 2: But one thing that the people may not know these are completely secret ballots.
- 59:34Speaker 2: We don't know each other's awards until the day, so we don't have a clue of what each other's going for either.
- 59:40Speaker 2: That's one of the fun things about the award show at the end of the year is, you know, obviously celebrating the year of football that we've had, but just seeing who comes up with what for their awards.
- 59:49Speaker 2: So that's something to look forward to come later on in the season.
- 59:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 59:54Speaker 1: So besides that, don't listen to the latest episode.
- 59:58Speaker 1: There's so many great episodes and you know it's not just the awards.
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: You know we got the quizzes as well.
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: We'll get us just of that later in the year.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: We're also well, maybe bonus episodes, as I've been doing all year.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: This is outside of football and stay tuned for that.
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: But thanks for listening.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: We'll see you all soon.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: All right, bjo shows out.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: See you very soon and keep broadcasting.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: All right, peace out.
