  Speaker 1: I think Division I college basketball game definitely tops any

  Speaker 1: game I've been to. And I even heard some people

  Speaker 1: Wisconsin game in twenty fourteen, like it even top at

  Speaker 1: you know, the NCAA tournament game a couple of years ago.

  Speaker 1: The first ten minutes was pretty awesome down in Memphis.

  Speaker 3: Falls anything to watch the brask basketball games. I mean,

  Speaker 3: those are like the diehard fans and it was like

  Speaker 4: seats and and like high school gym's just seemed louder

  Speaker 4: because I don't know why they're smaller. Yeah, it's they're small.

  Speaker 4: with a football game. But these road games and neutral

  Speaker 4: side games, it is all the diehards and and everyone

  Speaker 4: stands in cheers for those they don't yell. You're like,

  Speaker 1: It's why, Like even your your your Dukes of the world,

  Speaker 1: Like those kind of places are so.

  Speaker 4: I mean for all of us.

  Speaker 1: Are purdueing there too, Like sometimes those arenas that are

  Speaker 1: very close and compact and tight and fans are like

  Speaker 1: second row, like right behind the basket, and it just

  Speaker 1: comes right out to the court right there. You know,

  Speaker 1: we got we gotta right next give high fives to

  Speaker 1: all the players and coaches coming in and out, and

  Speaker 1: it's just a really really neat experience, I guess as

  Speaker 1: a fan, and obviously winning the game helps a lot

  Speaker 1: in that atmosphere as well.

  Speaker 2: Against a very high.

  Speaker 1: Quality opponent in Oklahoma, and I would anticipate Oklahoma to be.

  Speaker 2: You know, top half of the SEC.

  Speaker 1: I'm not gonna I'm not gonna say they're going to

  Speaker 1: be better than that, but it's a power five school
• 3:47
  Speaker 1: that that are one of our non conference games.

  Speaker 1: It's a it's a if you want to be in

  Speaker 1: the tournament and look at resumes come February in March,

  Speaker 3: you know, we didn't get out rebounded, We shot more

  Speaker 3: free throws, we had more assists.

  Speaker 3: all pretty close, but I just thought it was interesting.

  Speaker 3: And then I watched the highlights. I was like, man,

  Speaker 3: that place was freaking rocky.

  Speaker 1: It it was as far as Sue Falls goes. It's

  Speaker 1: not its size of Lincoln population wise, but it's not

  Speaker 1: built like Lincoln in the sense that there's things to

  Speaker 1: of different places to go, right, but it's not I'm

  Speaker 1: gonna call it commercialized. There's central location type places where

  Speaker 2: It's on the outskirts of town, uh in where there's.

  Speaker 1: A bunch of other sports complexes, soccer fields, tennis courts

  Speaker 1: like out there. There's a couple of hotels in one

  Speaker 1: little bar that we went to before that was just

  Speaker 1: filled with Husker fans, as you'd expect, no.

  Speaker 4: Clue the game was going on. That was they had

  Speaker 4: one bartender, so they had no clue the game was

  Speaker 2: Yeah, the bar, the bar themselves. I don't know how.

  Speaker 1: It looks like it changed names to maybe from last

  Speaker 1: year to this year, but it just it the whole

  Speaker 1: thing was it's just cool that that, Like you said,

  Speaker 1: it's the passionate fans that go. It's the ones that

  Speaker 1: you know that you don't you don't see the older

  Speaker 1: crowd there. Uh, it was. It was just it is

  Speaker 1: all around a big, big win for multiple reasons for

  Speaker 1: Nebraska basketball this year. I will say this, and I'm

  Speaker 1: not going to turn this into a negative because it
• 6:10
  Speaker 1: doesn't deserve to be.

  Speaker 2: That's just how this team's gonna be.

  Speaker 1: My thoughts around this team has not changed as far

  Speaker 1: as postseason expectations. You get hot in the right couple

  Speaker 1: of games, we're gonna beat some good teams because that's
• 6:27
  Speaker 1: what this team can do. And when you do that
• 6:30
  Speaker 1: by shooting the ball well, teams had to come out
• 6:33
  Speaker 1: and guard and then you can get by to the rim. Defensively,
• 6:38
  Speaker 1: we're going to struggle at times stopping athletic teams because
• 6:43
  Speaker 1: we're not as athletic.
• 6:45
  Speaker 2: We just aren't.

  Speaker 1: And so that's how the there's gonna be a lot

  Speaker 1: of games in the eighties and nineties this year, unfortunately,

  Speaker 1: I think fortunate. Maybe fortunately, if you like watching the

  Speaker 1: style of basketball that hopefully you can feel like you're
• 6:58
  Speaker 1: gonna end up on top. But the result or how

  Speaker 1: we played did not change how I felt about this team.

  Speaker 1: It was just fun to watch and win a game

  Speaker 1: playing that way.

  Speaker 3: Yeah, because it looks like you stalled. We stalled out,

  Speaker 3: and I mean that's kind of a been is we were.

  Speaker 3: I mean, I feel like every year Fred Weiberg, we

  Speaker 3: just we go cold. We have like every game it

  Speaker 3: seems like, okay, we can weather the five minutes stretch

  Speaker 3: where we score zero points and the other teams, you know,

  Speaker 3: at the free throw line. It seems like every possession

  Speaker 3: that's I mean, that's not new for this team. I

  Speaker 3: would say it feels like that's been an issue for

  Speaker 3: the last couple of years.

  Speaker 2: For Fred's teams in general.

  Speaker 1: I mean, that's part of this basketball too. And we

  Speaker 1: obviously started the game cold. There's another stretch in the

  Speaker 1: first half that was cold. I think some of those

  Speaker 1: stretches could look even worse this year. I think last

  Speaker 1: year was a lot less like that, just because we

  Speaker 1: had in the year before that, we have we had
• 8:05
  Speaker 1: guys like Bryce and Case that could get us out
• 8:08
  Speaker 1: of that because they were very good skilled players. And

  Speaker 1: I think we maybe have you know, rank could be

  Speaker 1: that you know, Price has shown signs of that at
• 8:18
  Speaker 1: times too. Got he struggled playing with those athletes, so

  Speaker 1: he was maybe a little hurt. He played a little

  Speaker 1: bit in the first half, and you know, maybe he
• 8:35
  Speaker 1: just he didn't. He didn't look if he's banged up.

  Speaker 2: He didn't. He didn't look like you should be playing

  Speaker 1: like that, it is very hard to guard. And Porter Moser,

  Speaker 1: Oklahoma's head coach, said that after the game that that

  Speaker 1: Fred is very very good at running his actions in

  Speaker 1: numerous ways that makes it really difficult to guard. And

  Speaker 1: I do think Fred's an elite offensive schemer when it

  Speaker 1: comes to.

  Speaker 2: X's and o's of the game.

  Speaker 1: One of his strengths as a coach uh, and and

  Speaker 1: that shows that showed big time in the second half.

  Speaker 1: It wasn't like we were making tough shots. We were

  Speaker 1: getting the wide open three pointers from simple but effective actions.

  Speaker 1: And I think that's something that Nebraska fans should be
• 12:26
  Speaker 1: encouraged by.

  Speaker 2: I think this team, when you have that, we haven't.

  Speaker 1: We haven't had a team that have we can have

  Speaker 1: five guys that can shoot it on the court at

  Speaker 3: I mean it's concerning the you know, the fourth game

  Speaker 3: that's that's probably the biggest negative eye from my experience

  Speaker 1: for me is just a pure athleticism. Still, Oklahoma is

  Speaker 1: an SEC team. They at times were able just to

  Speaker 1: do whatever they wanted to on offense because they were

  Speaker 1: just more athletic than us, and I think that could

  Speaker 1: be an issue moving forward. Now, I will say this,

  Speaker 1: I don't think a lot of Big Ten teams maybe

  Speaker 1: are going to be as athletic as an Oklahoma SEC team.

  Speaker 1: We saw against Texas A and M what happened in

  Speaker 1: the tournament when we played them. It reminded me a

  Speaker 1: little bit of that, but it obviously was enough to

  Speaker 1: withhold and we made enough adjustments in the second half

  Speaker 1: to get the win in So obviously giving up ninety

  Speaker 1: nine points is not good, but we did enough good things,

  Speaker 1: in the next week or two, Like people start going out.

  Speaker 1: This team is not very good and then you look

  Speaker 1: at some of the rest of the non con games,

  Speaker 1: you don't get any attendance and things start to fall off.

  Speaker 4: this team this year, and it's JaMarcus Lawrence. If you

  Speaker 4: can get any offense at all from that guy, it's

  Speaker 4: that's going to be the key, because because he's not

  Speaker 4: he's not that good offensely, if you can get five

  Speaker 4: ten points a game from that guy, that's gonna be

  Speaker 2: Yeah, he was almost non existent in the first half.

  Speaker 1: In the second half when when we made our run,

  Speaker 1: he was a big, big part of that. And I

  Speaker 1: will say this, offensively, we don't have a lot of

  Speaker 1: guys that are able to dribble, penetrate and score at

  Speaker 1: the rim. And I'm not saying JaMarcus is that guy either.

  Speaker 1: Chryce Samford looked better at doing that and had a

  Speaker 1: couple of good finishes and even Cal Jacobson did a

  Speaker 1: good job of that. But JaMarcus is going to need

  Speaker 1: to be that guy at times to attack the rim

  Speaker 1: and be sure with it and strong enough to do that.

  Speaker 1: And I agree like he shot it well too, Like

  Speaker 1: that's the thing when you could take a wonderbll off
