- 0:24Speaker 1: shit kids get upset about? Oh first one, my four
- 0:27Speaker 1: year old had a meltdown because we wouldn't buy, in
- 0:31Speaker 1: his words, cleaning robot to clean the house for us
- 0:34Speaker 1: from Costco.
- 0:35Speaker 2: He's referring to a roomba. Oh yeah, no brainer, no brain,
- 0:40Speaker 2: no brainer.
- 0:40Speaker 1: On the the shit that kids break down about. Literally yesterday, Yeah,
- 0:45Speaker 1: I asked Rue if she could go upstairs and get
- 0:48Speaker 1: a band aid for Scotty. Scotty stepped on a screw
- 0:50Speaker 1: the other day, but Rue like brought down something. I
- 0:53Speaker 1: was like, hey, sweetheart, do you mind going up? Do
- 0:55Speaker 1: you mind going up and grabbing another band aid for Scotti?
- 0:58Speaker 1: And she just immediately shoulders drop, she drops to her
- 1:02Speaker 1: knees in sadness, and I'm like, oh, dude, what are
- 1:05Speaker 1: we doing? All you got to say is like no,
- 1:06Speaker 1: I'd rather like dedic, can you go up and get it?
- 1:08Speaker 2: Yeah? And it just the whole way.
- 1:11Speaker 1: As I'm just stomping up the stairs, just thinking, God,
- 1:14Speaker 1: oh you win. Yeah I went got it, because once
- 1:17Speaker 1: she dropped to her knees, I'm all right, dude, I'm
- 1:19Speaker 1: just trying to.
- 1:19Speaker 3: See if you'll or a tribe or a team here
- 1:22Speaker 3: help Dada. Can you just help that? It looked like, look,
- 1:24Speaker 3: I'll go get this is not that big of a deal.
- 1:26Speaker 3: You don't have to break down over this. You simply say, like,
- 1:29Speaker 3: you know, you can kindly try and say no.
- 1:31Speaker 1: I will push you to try and go up there
- 1:32Speaker 1: and get it, but you don't got to break that.
- 1:34Speaker 1: They break these kids, man, They break down over the
- 1:38Speaker 1: craziest stuff.
- 1:39Speaker 3: If you want to see a real life interpretation of
- 1:42Speaker 3: that wet, hot American summer, have you ever seen that?
- 1:45Speaker 2: I havena you would think it's very funny. Have you
- 1:49Speaker 2: seen that chef? Yeah?
- 1:50Speaker 3: All right, the scene with Paul Rudd where they jess
- 1:54Speaker 3: essentially he's a grown acidult in the movie too, and
- 1:57Speaker 3: the head of the summer camp tells Paul Rudd's character,
- 2:01Speaker 3: who's a counselor, hey, do you mind taking that tray
- 2:05Speaker 3: to the like where we put the trays in the lunchroom,
- 2:08Speaker 3: Like you can't just leave it out, And Paul Red's
- 2:10Speaker 3: character just instantly throws it and throws his arms downd
- 2:14Speaker 3: and just starts going.
- 2:17Speaker 2: And he does. It's like a five minute scene of
- 2:20Speaker 2: him acting like a four year old day.
- 2:22Speaker 3: You will love it because you're like, yeah, yeah, that's it,
- 2:25Speaker 3: that's it.
- 2:26Speaker 2: That's what these kids do. That's what these toddlers do.

- 3:51Speaker 1: I am going to pepper you with questions about Scarlet
- 3:54Speaker 1: turning one. Reflecting on the first year with scarscar me myself,
- 3:59Speaker 1: I am itchin and right now it's Friday, June twenty sixth,
- 4:03Speaker 1: by the way, anniversary it's your boys anniversary with Charro
- 4:07Speaker 1: one shelf and.
- 4:09Speaker 3: A round of applause because it is his anniversary. We
- 4:11Speaker 3: got a little something for you though, oh for you
- 4:14Speaker 3: to open because it is Charo and Will's anniversary today
- 4:20Speaker 3: and we love our Willie one shelf.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Best part, here's the card.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Best part about me being married is having someone to
- 4:27Speaker 1: split the pizza with, to binge watch the new season with,
- 4:30Speaker 1: to laugh out loud with, to hug during the storm,
- 4:33Speaker 1: to always lean on always. What's the best part about
- 4:38Speaker 1: being married knowing that you'll always be sharing your life
- 4:41Speaker 1: with your favorite person by your side. Happy anniversary, Signed
- 4:44Speaker 1: by all the boys.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I love you, guys, Man and Charie. If you're listening,
- 4:50Speaker 2: Happy anniversary, we are. She's listening now. That means she's
- 4:54Speaker 2: listening to this podcast in the middle of our vacation.
- 4:56Speaker 2: We are going on vacation. I said I was itching.
- 4:58Speaker 1: It was June twenty six, on Friday tomorrow, on the
- 5:01Speaker 1: twenty seventh, we're taking off Italy and Argentina.
- 5:05Speaker 2: Man, come on, come on, we'll be buenoses.
- 5:10Speaker 1: We'll be in northern Italy in Austria for two weeks.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Full two weeks. That's sick.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Actually just found out we weren't getting back until the eleventh,
- 5:20Speaker 1: two days ago. I thought we were always getting back
- 5:23Speaker 1: on July eighth. Yeah, here's the problem with that, Papa
- 5:28Speaker 1: Team six. This is communication. How do we always mess
- 5:31Speaker 1: this up? I'm telling Charlie, you always told me July eighth.
- 5:33Speaker 1: She's like, I sent, we sent the itinerary over. You
- 5:36Speaker 1: were all about the itinerary. I'm like, yeah, but I
- 5:38Speaker 1: always still always thought it was July eighth. I didn't
- 5:41Speaker 1: see the flights where it says July eleventh. The problem
- 5:44Speaker 1: with that is on July eleventh, Connor McGregor fights in
- 5:47Speaker 1: Vegas and my wife when we were getting to know
- 5:50Speaker 1: each other, she asked me my bucket list. She asked
- 5:54Speaker 1: me the bucket list question. And I'm in the middle
- 5:57Speaker 1: of I'm in Washington, I'm in the middle I'm football
- 5:59Speaker 1: will see.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:01Speaker 1: So I've never had like a bucket list. So she's
- 6:03Speaker 1: kind of laughing at She's like, you don't have a
- 6:05Speaker 1: bucket list, Like what are things you want to do?
- 6:06Speaker 1: And I'm like, man, I don't know. She's like, do
- 6:08Speaker 1: you want to go places? I'm like, I haven't really taught,
- 6:11Speaker 1: like I don't really go on trips or nothing.
- 6:12Speaker 3: Because again, win the Super Bowl, Yeah, win the Super Bowl,
- 6:16Speaker 3: like be a pro bowler.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Like, that's on my bucket list. You know what do
- 6:20Speaker 2: you mean bucket list?
- 6:21Speaker 1: Yeah, hundred tackles in a year, that's a bucket list item.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Mean, fellas in the A Gap, don't don't you want
- 6:28Speaker 2: to go somewhere? Oh? Yeah, the the NFL Hall of Fame.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I'd be sick to go down against the
- 6:34Speaker 1: beach in Florida or something. She's like, what about other countries?
- 6:36Speaker 1: And she's like laughing at me, And when I she
- 6:39Speaker 1: was pressing me to think about it, I'm like, all right,
- 6:41Speaker 1: what do I love? And I'm like, I grew up.
- 6:43Speaker 1: I love free Willie. It'd be sick to swim with
- 6:46Speaker 1: orcas in Norway, Oh it would be. And then I'm like,
- 6:50Speaker 1: in this era I was, I loved Connor McGregor, Like
- 6:55Speaker 1: it'd be sick to see Connor McGregor in Vegas. I
- 6:57Speaker 1: had two items on my bucket list swim with whales,
- 7:00Speaker 1: swimming the work of Whales, free Way, Connor McGregor, fight,
- 7:03Speaker 1: come on, And those were the two. And so when
- 7:06Speaker 1: she hit me with the eleventh and I'm like, Connor
- 7:09Speaker 1: fights on the eleventh. How am I gonna get? Like,
- 7:12Speaker 1: I'm not gonna be able to go now? And she's like,
- 7:14Speaker 1: I mean, is that something you had to go to?
- 7:15Speaker 1: And I'm like that that's that's you. You're not you
- 7:19Speaker 1: created this monster, charl I didn't have a bucket, yeah,
- 7:22Speaker 1: and I gave you two things. This is the bucket list.
- 7:24Speaker 1: And now I'm hey, I was tight. It was one
- 7:29Speaker 1: of those silent we drove to we were driving to
- 7:31Speaker 1: get to get pizza at the time with the Kiddosy,
- 7:34Speaker 1: She's gonna sat silently because there's a part of I
- 7:39Speaker 1: gotta accept this, like nothing's gonna change, so so why
- 7:43Speaker 1: create something bigger than it needs to be. I'm already
- 7:45Speaker 1: here right now. Yeah, so let me just I'm more
- 7:48Speaker 1: of an internalized like, just sit in it, just be silent. Yeah,
- 7:52Speaker 1: but now I'm gonna try and make a play.
- 7:54Speaker 3: You were You are quite literally explaining exactly where I
- 7:58Speaker 3: was with first birthday party Baylor versus Aubury and Atlanta.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Yes kind of yeah. I don't want to fully put
- 8:09Speaker 1: charrowing the wrong of we oh said no, no, there
- 8:13Speaker 1: was nothing you're putting Jill fulling the wrong. But I'm
- 8:15Speaker 1: feeling like there wasn't like I didn't buy, I didn't
- 8:19Speaker 1: do the planning, I didn't buy the tickets.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, to where I'm.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Setting, and she throws something on me, Hey, we need
- 8:24Speaker 1: to be staying untill the eleventh because of X, Y
- 8:26Speaker 1: and Z. Yeah, this was like very premature when we're
- 8:29Speaker 1: talking about it. When can you be gone for busting
- 8:32Speaker 1: with the boys, because again, very intentional about trying to plan, prioritize,
- 8:35Speaker 1: let's get away, Let's do vacation with your family, Let's
- 8:37Speaker 1: just get out because we've been doing just a lot
- 8:39Speaker 1: of shit.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Yeah, And it was.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Just always either June twenty sixth to July eighth or
- 8:45Speaker 1: June twenty seventh to July ninth. When I look at
- 8:47Speaker 1: the calendar, I'm like, it's gonna be our anniversary on
- 8:49Speaker 1: the twenty sixth, It's gonna be a Friday. Let's just
- 8:51Speaker 1: go on Friday because then we can get back a
- 8:53Speaker 1: day sooner because I'm thinking about the work weeks and
- 8:55Speaker 1: everything else. So when I found out it was the eleventh, dude,
- 8:59Speaker 1: because she hit me with something, this is this would
- 9:01Speaker 1: be like person, I don't know if I'm allowed to
- 9:02Speaker 1: talk about it yet, but she's like, hey, I'm able
- 9:04Speaker 1: to do X, Y and Z on Monday when we
- 9:06Speaker 1: get back. And I'm like, Monday, when we get back,
- 9:09Speaker 1: I was like, we don't get back into Wednesday.
- 9:11Speaker 2: I'm like, when are we getting back? Thinking we're gonna
- 9:12Speaker 2: get back the weekend before July eighth, and she's like, oh,
- 9:16Speaker 2: we get back on July eleventh.
- 9:17Speaker 1: And I like sat up out of my chair and
- 9:19Speaker 1: like looked over at her because over in the passenger seat,
- 9:21Speaker 1: and I'm.
- 9:22Speaker 2: Like, July eleventh, She's like, yeah, what's going on? I
- 9:25Speaker 2: was like, what do you mean? What's going on?
- 9:26Speaker 1: McGregor fights, And obviously perspective, there's way more situations to
- 9:34Speaker 1: be there and be like, I'm gonna be stuck in
- 9:36Speaker 1: Austria and Italy.
- 9:37Speaker 2: I can't see McGregor fight.
- 9:39Speaker 1: But I'm thinking, you know, you know, the seats we
- 9:41Speaker 1: get at these UFC fights, we're like up there feeling everything,
- 9:46Speaker 1: feeling the sweat, tasting the salt, bro feeling the blows
- 9:51Speaker 1: and the McGregor being away for five years walking.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Inted that arena. Oh, it's gonna be pandemonium against Max
- 9:58Speaker 2: all Away. It's gonna to be a movie. It's also it's.
- 10:02Speaker 3: The I would love to know how women feel when
- 10:05Speaker 3: they're talking to us men. And I'm just gonna take
- 10:09Speaker 3: Jill Jill's stance on this. Yeah, and Charo probably feels
- 10:13Speaker 3: similarly of Jill saying there taught me. Katie said this
- 10:17Speaker 3: to this And did you know Chelsea and Brad they're
- 10:19Speaker 3: pregnant and da dah dah and oh and we can't
- 10:22Speaker 3: make that birthday party. Da da da And I'm just
- 10:25Speaker 3: sitting there driving on Oh, yeah, oh they're pregnant.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Yeah, that reminds me of life that mister Incredibles or
- 10:32Speaker 2: the Incredibles and mister Credibles. Yeah, he's just on auto
- 10:35Speaker 2: pilot work. He was good.
- 10:38Speaker 3: Yeah, and you're just you're just kind of going, oh,
- 10:40Speaker 3: I can't believe Katie said that to Chelsea. That's crazy
- 10:43Speaker 3: blah blah blah and yeah, and then I and the
- 10:46Speaker 3: eleventh is wide open, So I booked us for a boat.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Wait, honey, what you just said the eleventh? What what
- 10:52Speaker 2: about the eleventh?
- 10:54Speaker 3: Oh, I booked us a reservation for blah blah blah.
- 10:57Speaker 3: That's when McGregor fids, like, that's the that's their Fray
- 11:03Speaker 3: turns on the Huskers kick.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Off at that time. What are you talking about?
- 11:07Speaker 4: What?
- 11:08Speaker 3: As she just said that, like your best couple of
- 11:10Speaker 3: friends are pregnant and you show like very little excit
- 11:14Speaker 3: for that.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:16Speaker 3: A couple of years a couple of years ago, when
- 11:18Speaker 3: Huskers played Illinois on.
- 11:20Speaker 1: My birthday, Charlie can put it up together birthday dinner.
- 11:23Speaker 1: And I'm like, as long as we can watch the Huskers, yeah,
- 11:26Speaker 1: I don't care what you put together, but they play on.
- 11:29Speaker 1: I want to say it was a Friday night game. Yeah,
- 11:31Speaker 1: they play Friday night lights.
- 11:33Speaker 2: All my brother.
- 11:33Speaker 1: As long as I'm watching the Huskers, sure, I'll go
- 11:36Speaker 1: out to eat dinner. We can invite friends, but as
- 11:38Speaker 1: long as we can we can watch the Husk I'll
- 11:40Speaker 1: get my toes. I'll get my toes done, honey, I
- 11:43Speaker 1: don't care. As long as there's a TV. Yeah, the
- 11:45Speaker 1: huskars on it. I forget where the restaurant is. It's
- 11:47Speaker 1: over in Germantown, awesome restaurant. And we walk in and
- 11:51Speaker 1: there ain't no TVs. And right we walk into the
- 11:53Speaker 1: room where we we got my dinner set up. I
- 11:56Speaker 1: was like, sweet, how were we gonna watch the Husker
- 12:00Speaker 1: Nebraska game, and she's like, well, I talked to the rustaurant.
- 12:03Speaker 1: They said they have a TV and they're like, oh, yeah,
- 12:05Speaker 1: we got your TV.
- 12:06Speaker 2: It's a roller TV that they bring into the room
- 12:10Speaker 2: and they like kind of can't get the channels going
- 12:12Speaker 2: at first. Yeah, and I'm like, what are we doing?
- 12:16Speaker 2: I'm just gonna have to sit here on my phone,
- 12:17Speaker 2: like and.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Everybody knows, like, guys, I am so grateful that you're
- 12:22Speaker 1: here from our birthday, but you all know I love Nebraska. Like,
- 12:26Speaker 1: I've got to watch this game, hey, waiter.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Wa yesterday, did you decide on those specials? Nah? I
- 12:33Speaker 2: can't get the TV. It won't go esb it.
- 12:38Speaker 1: Everybody else is mingling and I'm just watching on my phone.
- 12:43Speaker 1: The Huskers play Illinois. We lost in Otah, Yeah, and
- 12:46Speaker 1: it was brutal.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Y'all were up early too. I remember that we missed
- 12:50Speaker 2: one in the end zone.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Two game winning drive to where we even had a
- 12:53Speaker 1: game winning field goal not a harborin like a thirty
- 12:55Speaker 1: yard and we shanked it.
- 12:56Speaker 2: You did they score OT?
- 12:59Speaker 1: We start off with the series and OT or then
- 13:01Speaker 1: we get the ball in OT We'll start off with
- 13:03Speaker 1: the penalty yep, then a false start, we get sacked.
- 13:08Speaker 1: You know, I want it off myself. But yeah, yeah,
- 13:11Speaker 1: that's neither. It was my birthday, hey, but it was
- 13:14Speaker 1: a good birthday party.
- 13:15Speaker 2: It was a good birthday dinner. Thanks Sonny. I didn't
- 13:18Speaker 2: talk to nobody, Dude, I love.
- 13:21Speaker 3: That so much. That is such guy energy. Forget. I'm
- 13:26Speaker 3: making a play.
- 13:27Speaker 2: Yeah, wait, what is the play for the eleventh we Land?
- 13:30Speaker 1: I texted my wife yesterday. I'm talking with Clump, I'm
- 13:33Speaker 1: talking with Taylor, and I'm like, sweetart. When do we
- 13:37Speaker 1: land on the eleventh we land at six pm?
- 13:41Speaker 2: Oh? The fight won't be till late.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Yeah, and you buy two hours going to Vegas and
- 13:48Speaker 1: you land four pm Vegas side getting a play, brother,
- 13:51Speaker 1: you Gucci getting a plant.
- 13:53Speaker 2: It's gonna leave at seven. Should probably land at like
- 13:56Speaker 2: eight thirty or me, I should land at eight thirty
- 13:59Speaker 2: or nine local time.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Fights. I might miss a couple of fights, like on
- 14:03Speaker 1: the main card. Yeah, but as long as I'm in
- 14:06Speaker 1: their seated for that McGregor fight main event, because it'll
- 14:10Speaker 1: probably that fight local time will probably happen around ten
- 14:13Speaker 1: thirty minue time, because usually like eleven thirty midnight here
- 14:18Speaker 1: I'm making that fight and then Taylor their due date
- 14:23Speaker 1: is July fifteenth. Oh god, So he's kind of like
- 14:26Speaker 1: on the call while he's out there. But after we
- 14:28Speaker 1: see the fight, then we're getting to the airport. We're
- 14:30Speaker 1: flying back right away, same night.
- 14:33Speaker 3: Dude, there's so much going on kid wise in this
- 14:37Speaker 3: office that completely goes.
- 14:39Speaker 2: Wow on me. Yeah, Clump, clump. The clumps are due
- 14:43Speaker 2: around the same time the clumps are due.
- 14:45Speaker 3: It's looking like Scarlett might have a birthday twin, like
- 14:50Speaker 3: a very good chance.
- 14:51Speaker 2: They're saying the third or fourth will be the day.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Yeah, clumps are doing July early July. Lawans are doing
- 14:59Speaker 1: July scarlets turning one.
- 15:02Speaker 3: Scarlett's turning one. I had a great APR from my mom.
- 15:06Speaker 2: Oh, my wife. My mom.
- 15:09Speaker 3: Got a nice little text after last week's episode. Y'all
- 15:12Speaker 3: remember me saying, Hey, my best friend just had a
- 15:15Speaker 3: daughter born the day before my birthday. Get a nice
- 15:19Speaker 3: little text from my mom, goes, y'all are birthday twins.
- 15:22Speaker 3: Remember it was a huge deal. She was born on
- 15:25Speaker 3: your birthday, not the day before.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Well there you go, APR, you got a birthday twin.
- 15:30Speaker 3: That was the craziest dad brain of all time. I
- 15:34Speaker 3: just was like, yeah, she was born like I don't know,
- 15:37Speaker 3: a day before me. She's born on my birthday. She's
- 15:39Speaker 3: my birthday twin. Who's the birthday twin Brian's daughter, Lucy
- 15:46Speaker 3: I was talking about on last week's episode. Okay, so
- 15:49Speaker 3: that's just a simple APR, simple APR, simple APR. Yes, Yeah,
- 15:54Speaker 3: I haven't had many recently. The dad Brain's starting to
- 15:56Speaker 3: show up a little bit more on my end.
- 16:00Speaker 2: You gotta get to some of them. No free shout out,
- 16:03Speaker 2: of free shout outs, no free shots. If they create
- 16:07Speaker 2: doesn't get it by now, they ain't ever gonna get it.
- 16:10Speaker 2: You forgot that.
- 16:11Speaker 5: You sent me the picture for Father's Day and he
- 16:12Speaker 5: sent me like three different iterations of a picture with
- 16:15Speaker 5: his dad for Father's Day.
- 16:16Speaker 2: Dad brain will bad. I sent it to him like
- 16:20Speaker 2: a week before then.
- 16:23Speaker 3: He followed up in the group text and was like,
- 16:25Speaker 3: everybody send me pictures. I was like, oh my god,
- 16:27Speaker 3: I haven't done that yet.
- 16:29Speaker 1: Send him three more pictures, dude. I got Charles send
- 16:32Speaker 1: me a voice note this morning. As far as like
- 16:34Speaker 1: taking advantage of dad brain, because I do feel like wives,
- 16:38Speaker 1: I do feel like wives and girlfriends. I feel like
- 16:40Speaker 1: you guys do do this that the male brain is
- 16:44Speaker 1: obviously fleeting. Dad brain is real. My wife, she sends
- 16:48Speaker 1: me a little voice out this morning.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Like she starts it off with like, deep breath, sweetheart,
- 16:55Speaker 2: she said, deep breath. She said deep breath. Oh no,
- 16:57Speaker 2: she's trying to temper it for me.
- 17:00Speaker 1: She's like when my computer is in the office and
- 17:02Speaker 1: it's open and it's plugged in, yeah, you can't unplug it.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Oh no, it also not closed the laptop. And I'm thinking,
- 17:11Speaker 1: what is she talking about? And I'm like, I've just
- 17:14Speaker 1: put Sweetheart, I love you. I didn't touch your computer
- 17:17Speaker 1: when I went in there last night. I just opened
- 17:19Speaker 1: up the box because I got you a gift for
- 17:21Speaker 1: our anniversary, because a little picnic basket. By the way,
- 17:23Speaker 1: Year five is wood. The theme is wood. So I
- 17:26Speaker 1: got her a picnic basket that says Compton Family on
- 17:29Speaker 1: it because she loves picnics. Do good gift, freaky gift.
- 17:32Speaker 1: But all I did going in there was get the
- 17:34Speaker 1: gift out of the box. I was like, I didn't
- 17:36Speaker 1: touch anything, and she's like, I guess it'll be a mystery.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Then she's like, I was like, could you have rushed
- 17:43Speaker 1: out of there when you were on your sales call
- 17:46Speaker 1: and accidentally done something. She's like, I just got up
- 17:49Speaker 1: from my computer to go make dinner, is it Yeah?
- 17:52Speaker 2: And I'm like, why didn't touch it.
- 17:54Speaker 1: She's like, oh, I guess it'll be a mystery then,
- 17:56Speaker 1: but I know she thinks I did it.
- 17:59Speaker 3: Oh No, I thought there's gonna be some kind of
- 18:02Speaker 3: circle back that it was you. It's I feel and
- 18:06Speaker 3: now I feel terrible because I was signing with charro
- 18:08Speaker 3: on yeah, we we do shit like that, But you're
- 18:12Speaker 3: saying we do do shit like that, to the point
- 18:15Speaker 3: that if we didn't do that ship they could still say, hey,
- 18:18Speaker 3: you did it.
- 18:19Speaker 2: And they say to you enough that you won't you
- 18:21Speaker 2: start to question your own you can tell yourself. I
- 18:24Speaker 2: was believing her. I just wrote me that believes her,
- 18:28Speaker 2: and I know I didn't. Yeah. I thought.
- 18:31Speaker 3: I truly thought you were about to be like and
- 18:33Speaker 3: then I realized, oh, after I opened the pic Nick thing,
- 18:35Speaker 3: I did do it.
- 18:37Speaker 2: No, that's how they get us.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Yeah, but then they beat you down with not like
- 18:43Speaker 1: beat you, but the pepper and enough to where you're like,
- 18:47Speaker 1: maybe it was me, maybe, and maybe you know that
- 18:50Speaker 1: it wasn't you.
- 18:50Speaker 2: At all, but you just come around and take an
- 18:52Speaker 2: accountability for it, because like this is worth it, he
- 18:55Speaker 2: worth what's about to happen, and I won't do it again.
- 18:58Speaker 3: And it doesn't even feel like you're like taking a
- 19:00Speaker 3: bullet to like protect the president. It ultimately kind of
- 19:02Speaker 3: feels like you're just humbling yourself. Yeah, just going you
- 19:05Speaker 3: know what, I strip it off?
- 19:08Speaker 2: You're right, Yeah, I know I didn't do it. Possibly,
- 19:12Speaker 2: maybe I guess I did. I don't know. Yeah, because
- 19:15Speaker 2: the dad bring fails us, gentlemen, and it's starting to
- 19:19Speaker 2: hit me more and more and more. Yeah, Oh my good.
- 19:23Speaker 2: Oh I am getting really good sleep. Though.
- 19:26Speaker 3: If we want to touch back very quickly on the
- 19:30Speaker 3: early to bed, early to rise quote that I.
- 19:33Speaker 2: The other way, get in good sleep, brother, this going
- 19:37Speaker 2: to bed early stuff.
- 19:40Speaker 3: My parents were right. They were right the whole time.
- 19:44Speaker 3: This go to bed early, that's all I have to say.
- 19:48Speaker 3: Get in bed early, pass out early. I woke up
- 19:52Speaker 3: to no alarm clocks this morning at like five forty
- 19:56Speaker 3: five ish, like, whoo, let's go. Did I have to
- 20:02Speaker 3: go hit the coffee?
- 20:03Speaker 2: What time you going to bed? Oh, dude? Last night
- 20:05Speaker 2: like eight forty five?
- 20:07Speaker 3: What Yeah, it's like a yearned for that. It was
- 20:13Speaker 3: so badass of how I just I locked in. I
- 20:16Speaker 3: put my audio book on while Jill was doing tucking.
- 20:22Speaker 2: I put my Game of Thrones audiobook on. I'm doing
- 20:24Speaker 2: the dishes.
- 20:25Speaker 3: I'm getting the bottles ready for tomorrow for daycare, which,
- 20:28Speaker 3: by the way, Scarlett's transitioning to whole milk.
- 20:31Speaker 2: We can talk about that.
- 20:32Speaker 3: Hell yeah, talk about that later. But I'm getting everything done. Okay,
- 20:37Speaker 3: dishes are done. That's been a big thing.
- 20:39Speaker 1: By the way that you tell you you're you're not
- 20:41Speaker 1: You're not feeling it because it's natural to you. That's
- 20:43Speaker 1: a subtle dad hack. Well, mama's up here in bedtime.
- 20:46Speaker 1: You're getting your prepping. You're you're recapping the day by
- 20:49Speaker 1: doing the dishes and cleaning off stuff. You're prepping for
- 20:52Speaker 1: the next day. Ass, you're getting ahead.
- 20:54Speaker 2: I feed that.
- 20:55Speaker 1: So your ass is in lazy sitting on the couch
- 20:58Speaker 1: watching TV and Mama comes down.
- 21:01Speaker 2: You didn't clean the bottle. You didn't do it. Why
- 21:03Speaker 2: do you do that?
- 21:05Speaker 1: Or they don't say nothing, Yeah, here's the hall of fame.
- 21:08Speaker 1: Here's a Hall of fame play that. They usually go ahead,
- 21:12Speaker 1: they say nothing. They just get louder when they're doing
- 21:17Speaker 1: all their things around the house, like in the kitchen.
- 21:24Speaker 3: Yeah, the dishwasher. Usually when it runs, it's like and
- 21:28Speaker 3: then for some reason that day you just hear the dishwasher.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Stopping around the house, and God forbid you mess up
- 21:40Speaker 1: Dad's by saying, oh, don't say it by just simply
- 21:46Speaker 1: saying like, hey, sweet, are we going to start the show?
- 21:50Speaker 3: Oh?
- 21:50Speaker 2: Oh, I thought you were gonna go with the Hey, honey,
- 21:54Speaker 2: you need any help in there? Oh yeah, maybe I
- 21:58Speaker 2: do that.
- 21:59Speaker 1: You know, it's even worse you say, hey, when we're
- 22:01Speaker 1: going to get this show going, Oh, I'm sorry.
- 22:03Speaker 2: I gotta do I gotta do all of this stuff
- 22:06Speaker 2: around the house. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Gotta clean the dishes. I gotta put the kid down.
- 22:10Speaker 1: I gotta get the backpack ready for tomorrow. I gotta
- 22:12Speaker 1: clean off the counters because you know, I don't like clutter.
- 22:15Speaker 1: I got to pick up the shoes.
- 22:16Speaker 2: I gotta do. They're saying everything where you're just sitting
- 22:18Speaker 2: there like, oh fuck, they're coming at my ass right now.
- 22:22Speaker 3: Oh, this is something that I did or did not do.
- 22:26Speaker 3: This is my fault.
- 22:27Speaker 2: All of a sudden, Yeah, you're getting the very passive
- 22:30Speaker 2: aggressive lecture in real time.
- 22:34Speaker 3: Honey, the House of the Dragon season premiere comes out
- 22:36Speaker 3: at eight, I don't know what they tell you?
- 22:39Speaker 2: Yes, what did you say? How to Train Your Dragon
- 22:42Speaker 2: comes back?
- 22:45Speaker 3: That was really funny. I told Jill. I was like,
- 22:49Speaker 3: are you excited? She was like excite for Why.
- 22:52Speaker 2: I do that? Whenever there's like a new show.
- 22:54Speaker 3: Yeah, coming to get Jill in the mood to watch it,
- 22:57Speaker 3: I was like, season premiere, How to Train Your Dragon?
- 23:01Speaker 2: And she was like.
- 23:04Speaker 6: What?
- 23:04Speaker 3: And I was like, the new season and she was like,
- 23:07Speaker 3: I didn't know they were doing a show on that.
- 23:09Speaker 3: It was like doing a show we've watched the first
- 23:12Speaker 3: two seasons together. What are you talking about? Finally the
- 23:15Speaker 3: wires got connected. I figured out my mistake. It was
- 23:19Speaker 3: not the season premiere of How to Train Your Dragon?
- 23:22Speaker 3: House the Dragon, good show, good short tone center.
- 23:26Speaker 1: If you'm a Thrones fan, House the Dragon starts off
- 23:29Speaker 1: with a bang, I'm a big sheep.
- 23:32Speaker 2: Yeah, who is it? Man? I can't consume enough of that.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Oh of that content? I love it? And where was
- 23:41Speaker 2: I going with all this? Was there? That House the
- 23:44Speaker 2: Dragon world?
- 23:45Speaker 1: Even the guy would almost be like, oh yeah, I
- 23:49Speaker 1: just house the Dragon starts at eight, so I just
- 23:51Speaker 1: figured we'd watch Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I figured we
- 23:53Speaker 1: watch How the Dragon at eight, Like, let me help you,
- 23:56Speaker 1: I've already done it all.
- 23:57Speaker 3: No, no, well, I guess this blanket's already kind of
- 24:02Speaker 3: warm because I've been laying here for a minute.
- 24:04Speaker 2: So come on in. The only the only.
- 24:07Speaker 1: Saving hate Hail Mary you can make is just getting
- 24:09Speaker 1: them a glass of ice water.
- 24:10Speaker 2: Yeah, or make it a little bag of popcorn for
- 24:12Speaker 2: Jilly Bean.
- 24:13Speaker 3: That's always a if she's kind of, you know, not
- 24:19Speaker 3: feeling the movie night or whatever. You get a little
- 24:21Speaker 3: bag of popcorn going. You get some M and m's
- 24:23Speaker 3: and sprinkle it into the popcorn for Yeah, game over.
- 24:27Speaker 1: We're just run of the closet, grab the vacuum and
- 24:31Speaker 1: just turn it on and start going.
- 24:33Speaker 3: Yes, the mop and the vacuum are a cheat code, dude,
- 24:38Speaker 3: those are, but that would almost be with some comedic relief.
- 24:41Speaker 1: Yes, in this in this scenario that we're talking about
- 24:44Speaker 1: his mom's already wife, he's already upset.
- 24:46Speaker 2: And you're really doing it with the mop.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Yeah, you're really I've already done Oh no, no, no, no,
- 24:50Speaker 1: there's gotta be something else we can do and then
- 24:52Speaker 1: you just start weirdly like running in place, just kind
- 24:55Speaker 1: of run the house looking for things.
- 24:57Speaker 2: So well you mom, yeah, you mom, let's go get
- 25:00Speaker 2: the back and get the back. You just start doing it. Well,
- 25:03Speaker 2: all you gotta do is give him a crack a smile.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Then you stop turn off. I got you. I'm sorry,
- 25:09Speaker 2: I fucked that up. I'll do better. I am sorry.
- 25:12Speaker 2: The House of the Dragon. Yeah, can we were?
- 25:16Speaker 3: Yeah, dude, it does work.
- 25:21Speaker 2: It does work. Yeah, And truthfully, like.
- 25:25Speaker 1: As long as you keep your poise in the pocket,
- 25:27Speaker 1: you have to because right there is a domino effect
- 25:29Speaker 1: of now we're just both getting kind of pissed off
- 25:31Speaker 1: at each other.
- 25:32Speaker 3: Yes, because I can apologize profusely, which will then lead
- 25:37Speaker 3: to Jill being like, well, this is the same old
- 25:39Speaker 3: story that I've heard thirty million times. Yeah, of Sherman
- 25:42Speaker 3: apologizing saying I'm going to do a better job.
- 25:46Speaker 2: And if they hit you with the trigger, uh, the
- 25:48Speaker 2: trigger word of always you always say you always say this,
- 25:52Speaker 2: you always do that. It's always me doing it. That's
- 25:56Speaker 2: my trigger. The always is my trigger work.
- 25:58Speaker 3: Guess why I don't always spread to the vacuum closet,
- 26:02Speaker 3: whip out the vacuum.
- 26:03Speaker 2: It just start going.
- 26:04Speaker 3: Yeah, so I'll switch it up for us. But truly,
- 26:09Speaker 3: that's what Jill was when we were whisper arguing of
- 26:13Speaker 3: like prioritizing things around the house so Jill doesn't have
- 26:18Speaker 3: to prioritize him, so Jill has more time to do
- 26:20Speaker 3: stuff that Jill likes to do instead.
- 26:22Speaker 2: Of prep the house.
- 26:25Speaker 3: And so I was like, I love audio books. I
- 26:28Speaker 3: love walking in for that kind of stuff. I'm down
- 26:31Speaker 3: there by myself anyways, and so I've been doing the
- 26:34Speaker 3: audiobooks while I do the dishes, clean up scarlets, stuff,
- 26:39Speaker 3: prep for all the day.
- 26:40Speaker 2: Like you're saying a dad.
- 26:41Speaker 3: Hack, ye, but it's honestly a dad hack from the
- 26:44Speaker 3: standpoint of then it's like what else do I do?
- 26:48Speaker 3: I was getting into the bed while Jill was technically
- 26:51Speaker 3: still upstairs tucking in Scarlet, so I may have even
- 26:55Speaker 3: been in bed like around.
- 26:56Speaker 2: Eight to fifteen. I know, good for you, man, dude,
- 27:00Speaker 2: it was kind of sick. I have a big weekend
- 27:04Speaker 2: ahead of me.
- 27:05Speaker 3: Big week yeah, big weekend of like getting ready for
- 27:09Speaker 3: this Florida trip, dude, getting ready for Scarlett's birthday trip.
- 27:13Speaker 2: When is the trip? Uh?
- 27:15Speaker 3: We leave on the second, which correct me if I'm wrong, Deeck,
- 27:18Speaker 3: Is that Thursday next week?
- 27:21Speaker 2: Yes? Okay, yeah, we.
- 27:22Speaker 7: Leave on.
- 27:25Speaker 3: Actually we leave Wednesday. We leave Wednesday evening. Wednesday would
- 27:31Speaker 3: be the first because you're you're.
- 27:33Speaker 2: You're gonna hit him with the drive hack.
- 27:35Speaker 3: Gonna hit him with the drive hack late at night.
- 27:38Speaker 3: We're gonna get yet to purchase the turtleshell. That's also
- 27:41Speaker 3: on my to do list. Gotta get the yard mode.
- 27:47Speaker 3: Who's gonna watch the dogs? Who's gonna do it? Intern?
- 27:50Speaker 3: Chris got inter hired? Intern Chris, He's going to house
- 27:54Speaker 3: it slash watch the dog?
- 27:56Speaker 2: Nice?
- 27:57Speaker 3: Yes, he said, I have some free coming in town
- 28:01Speaker 3: because he's gonna be my birthday. We guys said, Chris,
- 28:04Speaker 3: are they good people? He goes, they're real good people.
- 28:07Speaker 3: They're real nice. I go, they're staying in my house
- 28:09Speaker 3: with you, Chris. They don't need to all cram into
- 28:12Speaker 3: your little Verbot thing that you're living in.
- 28:15Speaker 2: They can come over.
- 28:16Speaker 3: Is there concerns that he's twenty one now? After the
- 28:19Speaker 3: Sunday I kind of want the kid that he needs
- 28:21Speaker 3: to let loose. He needs to have a little fun.
- 28:23Speaker 2: It's just her.
- 28:24Speaker 3: Jills on board. Jills on board. I gave him the
- 28:27Speaker 3: pool pass for our community pool. I say, y'all go
- 28:30Speaker 3: to the pool. You have do happy birthday, Happy twenty three.
- 28:34Speaker 2: Nice move.
- 28:35Speaker 3: Just make sure you walk the dogs every morning and
- 28:37Speaker 3: every evening. And I'm a happy man. And if there's
- 28:39Speaker 3: holes in the drywall, I do somewhat know how to
- 28:42Speaker 3: fix that.
- 28:43Speaker 2: No, no, you can't even give boundary.
- 28:44Speaker 1: You can't give a loose boundary of I didn't say
- 28:47Speaker 1: that part say buddy, the place better be spotless.
- 28:50Speaker 2: I didn't say that part out loud.
- 28:52Speaker 3: That's the part in the back of my head that
- 28:54Speaker 3: I'm like, worst comes to worst and there's some hole
- 28:57Speaker 3: in the drywall, I can take care of them.
- 28:59Speaker 2: Yeah, but yeah, I gave him the you know you
- 29:04Speaker 2: gotta be stern.
- 29:05Speaker 3: Hey, every room, dude is free reign, no nursery, no
- 29:09Speaker 3: master bedroom, and we're good.
- 29:12Speaker 2: You let him bring gals to the house.
- 29:15Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, Hey, Chrit, Hey, Chris needs.
- 29:20Speaker 2: A left loose man. I don't. I don't I agree
- 29:23Speaker 2: with you there. It's his birthday weekend. I don't.
- 29:26Speaker 1: I don't disagree with you there. But I'm saying, like,
- 29:28Speaker 1: would that would be gone? Like I wouldn't give him
- 29:30Speaker 1: the keys of the house and be like, this is
- 29:31Speaker 1: your airbnb for the weekend. Just make sure it's clean.
- 29:34Speaker 1: When it's back, you can have the chicken whatever you
- 29:36Speaker 1: guys do. You can do whatever in the middle of
- 29:38Speaker 1: the night.
- 29:38Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, it ain't going down like that.
- 29:40Speaker 3: If Matt Malone is watching my house, it ain't going
- 29:43Speaker 3: down like that.
- 29:44Speaker 2: Does that make sense? Se? Does that make sense? Yeah?
- 29:50Speaker 3: And that's nothing against Matt Malone. Like I love Matt Malone.
- 29:53Speaker 3: It's against there'd be more parameters. But when you just
- 29:56Speaker 3: you know, you don't think he's gonna wait in them
- 29:57Speaker 3: with you don't think Chris is gonna lay in it.
- 30:10Speaker 2: Chris is making that I want Chris have fun. I
- 30:17Speaker 2: hear what you're saying. Hey, I hear what you're saying.
- 30:21Speaker 2: Because got his boys. Or they're gonna play board games.
- 30:24Speaker 2: They're gonna play some board games. Maybe it's a video game.
- 30:28Speaker 2: Oh my god, they're gonna be respectful.
- 30:31Speaker 3: Sure, Okay, if I plug in your Xbox one for
- 30:35Speaker 3: you into the TV, yeah ahead, that's no call. Hey,
- 30:40Speaker 3: I know you said people coming over was like good?
- 30:43Speaker 3: Is it like good? If it's like forty or fifty people,
- 30:46Speaker 3: do is that Matt that's called the party. That's a
- 30:49Speaker 3: little different than how many friends is he having in town?
- 30:52Speaker 3: Chris too, okay, they're aggies.
- 30:57Speaker 7: If there's any school, they're like, okay, I can live
- 30:59Speaker 7: with this. If they go to Texas A and M
- 31:01Speaker 7: I feel like the student body there, I'd be like, yeah, yeah.
- 31:05Speaker 2: Chris is a good boy. He's a good boy. He's
- 31:07Speaker 2: a good boy. Blake, now just Blake. Oh Blake is aware?
- 31:12Speaker 2: Is Blake? Blake? I don't want Yeah, Blake's I don't.
- 31:16Speaker 2: You need to have Blake keep an eye. I need to.
- 31:18Speaker 3: I might need to have Blake mess around with them alone. Yeah,
- 31:22Speaker 3: mess around, yeah, Sherman. Sherman told me to come pop
- 31:25Speaker 3: my head and kind of, you know, check.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Around the house.
- 31:27Speaker 5: Blake should put packages on your front door for Blake's
- 31:29Speaker 5: house and see if Chris brings them up.
- 31:32Speaker 2: That would actually be funny.
- 31:34Speaker 3: Just force his hand in like doing interactions with Tell
- 31:38Speaker 3: Blake to come over and like leave the backyard gate
- 31:41Speaker 3: open so the dogs get Yeah, well, Chris, what are
- 31:45Speaker 3: you doing? Sherman asked you to watch his dogs. They're
- 31:48Speaker 3: out running around everywhere. I found him though, good thing
- 31:52Speaker 3: I was here of Blake stealed the dogs, and yo.
- 31:56Speaker 1: That would be funny, that would be funny, have him
- 31:58Speaker 1: take the dogs.
- 32:00Speaker 3: He just finished his fence. He hand built his fence.
- 32:06Speaker 3: Y'all his backyard fence. I'll get some pictures for you. You
- 32:10Speaker 3: need a Yeah, your dogs need to be in his yard,
- 32:13Speaker 3: his backyard, and Chris has got to have the stones to,
- 32:18Speaker 3: you know, get the dogs back and then you want
- 32:20Speaker 3: to see if Chris tells you about it, mister Blake, Sir,
- 32:25Speaker 3: I believe Sherman's dogs are in your backyard.
- 32:30Speaker 2: Watch them. Oh my god, that's a good impression of them.
- 32:33Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 32:34Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a good impression of them. How long are
- 32:36Speaker 1: you guys staying in Florida?
- 32:38Speaker 2: A week? A week? That's gonna be awesome. Yeah, second
- 32:43Speaker 2: to the ninth, dude, I'm really excited. I know. I
- 32:47Speaker 2: can't wait for the vacation either. The travel there is
- 32:50Speaker 2: going to be a grind.
- 32:51Speaker 1: Like we fly to Chicago first, and it's from Chicago
- 32:53Speaker 1: to Munich and then it's transportation for two and a
- 32:57Speaker 1: half hours, so we're gonna be traveling a while. That'll
- 33:01Speaker 1: be a grind. It is what it is. Those are
- 33:03Speaker 1: the ones you're just gonna have to accept and embrace
- 33:05Speaker 1: the suck. But being there, dude, it's going to be phenomenal.
- 33:10Speaker 1: Each spot we're at has some childcare services with it. Oh,
- 33:13Speaker 1: there's just gonna be the family.
- 33:14Speaker 3: It's just gonna be us for ripping, like the hotels
- 33:16Speaker 3: that you're the hotels that dude, that's sick.
- 33:19Speaker 1: Yeah, and I'm so excited. Everybody keeps talking about the Dolmites.
- 33:24Speaker 2: What is I don't know, Austria is range the mountains.
- 33:28Speaker 7: Like sound of music that I've told Will about time, dude,
- 33:32Speaker 7: got to see sound of music rips.
- 33:34Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what people say that. But I'm fired. It's
- 33:38Speaker 1: gonna be so nice.
- 33:39Speaker 3: That's gonna be really nice having childcare there too, dude,
- 33:42Speaker 3: that y'all can sneak off and go do like anniversary
- 33:46Speaker 3: style like things of dinners and no pressure of watching
- 33:50Speaker 3: the kids.
- 33:51Speaker 1: Yeah, because when it's just when it's just the fam, Yeah,
- 33:55Speaker 1: when it's just you guys, your tribe on vacation, like,
- 33:58Speaker 1: it's still chaotic.
- 34:00Speaker 2: Yes, because you do. You're just you're juggling so many
- 34:02Speaker 2: things and you have no help. Yeah, So there.
- 34:06Speaker 1: Is a sucky part of going on vacation with the fam.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Those moments that do make like the vacation itself and
- 34:13Speaker 1: makes it all worth it. Yeah, but yeah, no one,
- 34:15Speaker 1: we're gonna have some childcare. Is going to be a
- 34:17Speaker 1: breath of fresh air.
- 34:18Speaker 3: Dude, that's gonna be nice. Get to go be a couple. Yeah,
- 34:21Speaker 3: that's a good feeling. I know that that is probably
- 34:25Speaker 3: built in with like our vacation to Florida. Like I'm
- 34:30Speaker 3: sure that Papa Sherman and miss Amy are gonna, you know,
- 34:35Speaker 3: not gonna to pay you guys, go do whatever one
- 34:38Speaker 3: of the nights.
- 34:40Speaker 2: I'm looking forward to that, like, yeah, man, that's gonna
- 34:43Speaker 2: be that's gonna be amazing.
- 34:45Speaker 3: And just during the day too, I have another video
- 34:49Speaker 3: I need to send a chef. Scarlett is ripping on
- 34:53Speaker 3: her walker. Dude, those you know those stand up walkers. Yeah, yeah,
- 34:58Speaker 3: fast like like out of control, fast like doesn't have control.
- 35:04Speaker 2: Yes, go and makes you a little nervous. Makes me
- 35:06Speaker 2: really nervous.
- 35:07Speaker 3: But she's staying vertical somehow, and I'm like, okay, like
- 35:11Speaker 3: I'm a proud dad, but I'm also.
- 35:13Speaker 2: Kind of filming.
- 35:13Speaker 3: I'm like, oh shit, she bang it up against the wall. Yeah,
- 35:17Speaker 3: turned around with one.
- 35:18Speaker 2: Then you're questioning yourself for filming it.
- 35:21Speaker 1: It's like the video I had of Scottie like walking
- 35:23Speaker 1: or like taking a couple of steps, and remember she
- 35:25Speaker 1: like toppled over and hit that on the floor and
- 35:27Speaker 1: I was like, oh, yeah, you just hear crying before
- 35:29Speaker 1: the video stops.
- 35:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean truly, I'm starting to now know what
- 35:34Speaker 3: that feels like, because because.
- 35:35Speaker 1: There's no graceful way for the for like a one
- 35:38Speaker 1: year old when they start walking, there's no graceful way
- 35:41Speaker 1: for them to fall whatsoever at all. It's just from
- 35:44Speaker 1: the top top down.
- 35:45Speaker 3: Yes, and you hope it's on the butt. Yeah, Like
- 35:48Speaker 3: I used to kind of be nervous when it was
- 35:50Speaker 3: the butt. Now I pray for her to fall on
- 35:52Speaker 3: her butt.
- 35:52Speaker 1: But fall on her butt to where they're leaning forward, yes,
- 35:56Speaker 1: because they hitting there like this, she's like, oh God,
- 35:59Speaker 1: then the back of her head.
- 36:00Speaker 3: And you you just explained the biggest wipeout to date.
- 36:05Speaker 3: She's on the walker doing that uncontrollable speed thing where
- 36:09Speaker 3: she truly just goes, I'm gonna go until I hit something.
- 36:13Speaker 3: That's how I stop. And she hits the thing. She
- 36:18Speaker 3: does this, falls on her butt and holds onto walker.
- 36:22Speaker 3: Oh and flies back so head goes and I want
- 36:27Speaker 3: to go back. Oh brother falls back and like that
- 36:32Speaker 3: held onto walker. So Walker literally then goes goom on
- 36:36Speaker 3: her face.
- 36:37Speaker 2: I was like, oh my god.
- 36:39Speaker 3: Like before she even started crying, and I was like, oh,
- 36:42Speaker 3: here we this is about to be the worst cry.
- 36:46Speaker 2: Poor little thing, dude, she just starts losing.
- 36:48Speaker 3: I put her right into mom's arms because she wants
- 36:51Speaker 3: mom when it starts hurting, and it was actually very
- 36:55Speaker 3: cute and sweet. I then laid there and was watching
- 36:58Speaker 3: like Aladdin or some Disney yeah, and I was horizontal,
- 37:04Speaker 3: laying on my back and I had her on my chest,
- 37:06Speaker 3: sitting on her butt, and she had her passing in
- 37:09Speaker 3: and she had tears coming down and she had stopped
- 37:11Speaker 3: like the crying crying. Yeah, but she saw the tears
- 37:14Speaker 3: go down and was going And I just kept on
- 37:18Speaker 3: looking at Jill and going, we have to put her
- 37:21Speaker 3: back on that walker in the next ten minutes. I
- 37:24Speaker 3: don't want her scared of that thing. We gotta put
- 37:27Speaker 3: her back on it. I don't want her scared. And
- 37:30Speaker 3: we didn't even have to put her back on the walker.
- 37:32Speaker 3: She wanted more. She was making noises reaching for it.
- 37:35Speaker 2: I'm like, get back at gamer.
- 37:38Speaker 3: We got a gamer put her back on the walker.
- 37:41Speaker 3: Didn't it change the strategy up at all? As fast
- 37:43Speaker 3: as I can go until I hit something. So I
- 37:46Speaker 3: kind of liked the bravery that's been amayed by Scarlett.
- 37:50Speaker 3: I can work with Bray. Yeah, I can work with
- 37:53Speaker 3: Bray toughness, toughness.
- 37:55Speaker 1: We got vacations coming up. Scar Scars turn in one.
- 37:58Speaker 1: We opened the episode with the temper tantrums, the dumb
- 38:01Speaker 1: shit kids get upset about I'm fully bought into Gobirt's
- 38:03Speaker 1: fifty two to fifty nine. I feel like Rue gets
- 38:07Speaker 1: upset about damn near everything everything. No, it's I want
- 38:12Speaker 1: to do the seat belt, sweetheart. I'm just helping you, like,
- 38:14Speaker 1: I'm just trying to get your arm. And then she's like,
- 38:16Speaker 1: I wanted to do it. Well, the seat belt's kind
- 38:18Speaker 1: of like sitting over. I wanted to do it. And
- 38:20Speaker 1: I'm like, oh uh, do you do you want to
- 38:24Speaker 1: finish it? You can still click all the buttons, and
- 38:25Speaker 1: she's like, well, I wanted to do it, and then
- 38:27Speaker 1: she starts like crying or getting sad, and I'm like, god,
- 38:30Speaker 1: you know.
- 38:30Speaker 2: Let's take it all off. Let's get out of the car.
- 38:32Speaker 2: Do you do it all, you do it all. I
- 38:34Speaker 2: was just about to say that was going to be
- 38:36Speaker 2: my solf.
- 38:37Speaker 3: Get some impossible task and put reroot down and say
- 38:41Speaker 3: reddo it.
- 38:43Speaker 2: No, do it, you want to do it. You're big girl,
- 38:46Speaker 2: you big girls.
- 38:47Speaker 3: Just get her a big old axe in some wood
- 38:49Speaker 3: and say hey, we're splitting wood and dad is going
- 38:51Speaker 3: to do all of it. I'm splitting all this would
- 38:53Speaker 3: you don't get to touch the axe at all? Real, No,
- 38:57Speaker 3: but they want to do it. But then when she
- 38:58Speaker 3: can't do it, get upset that she can't do it,
- 39:02Speaker 3: and she doesn't ask Dad have.
- 39:04Speaker 2: To do it.
- 39:04Speaker 1: Then No, I'm just saying, like for all the parents
- 39:07Speaker 1: that have the four year old that go birds here
- 39:09Speaker 1: is talking about.
- 39:11Speaker 2: There ain't no gold birds. There ain't no angle. Damn.
- 39:17Speaker 2: Just like talking through it. You lose either way. Because
- 39:22Speaker 2: we get to the point, like tron I get to,
- 39:24Speaker 2: we're getting to the spots where we're just like, hey,
- 39:27Speaker 2: we're not going to answer you if you're whining.
- 39:29Speaker 1: Yeah, we're not going to answer you. In your wine voice.
- 39:32Speaker 1: You can use a strong voice, you can use confident voice.
- 39:34Speaker 1: Whenever you calm down and can breathe and know this
- 39:36Speaker 1: is Honestly, this is not a big fucking deal. Yeah,
- 39:40Speaker 1: And when you touch it on the arm and talk
- 39:42Speaker 1: to us, we'll listen to you. But while you're whining,
- 39:44Speaker 1: you're not gonna hear from me. Yeah, because I'm sick
- 39:47Speaker 1: of it, sick of dealing with it. Now that I
- 39:51Speaker 1: think about it, I can't even hear it.
- 39:53Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I really can't even hear it when
- 39:56Speaker 2: you start talking like that.
- 39:58Speaker 3: I fully support that because Scarlett is starting to do
- 40:02Speaker 3: that too with the separation anxiety. Whenever we put her down,
- 40:07Speaker 3: dude and start doing stuff around the house, it's just instantly, oh.
- 40:12Speaker 2: Of like come pick me up, like what are you doing?
- 40:15Speaker 2: Then you ask parents, you start to question do we
- 40:17Speaker 2: hold and do all this stuff way too much?
- 40:20Speaker 3: And I've taken this staunch approach of I know she
- 40:25Speaker 3: can't really understand me at eleven in some odd months,
- 40:28Speaker 3: but I'm like, Scarlet, no, no, no whining, no whining.
- 40:34Speaker 3: You cant play by yourself. You can play by yourself.
- 40:36Speaker 3: And she'll start crawing to me like still crying. You'll
- 40:39Speaker 3: walk away from her and I get a toy and
- 40:42Speaker 3: I put it. Yes, I walk away. I get a
- 40:44Speaker 3: toy and I give it to her. I go, you,
- 40:46Speaker 3: you know how to play on your own?
- 40:47Speaker 2: You got this?
- 40:48Speaker 1: Yeah, you big girl, Go and resituate and put the
- 40:50Speaker 1: toy in front of me. Yeah you can play, you
- 40:52Speaker 1: big girl.
- 40:53Speaker 2: You got it.
- 40:54Speaker 3: Like I and Jill and I have been joking, I'm
- 40:57Speaker 3: not putting Jill on blasts like Jill was on her
- 41:00Speaker 3: mom Sherman's way better at that than me, because Jill's
- 41:03Speaker 3: the one that wants to go pick her up and
- 41:06Speaker 3: it's okay, yep, And I'm like, honey, you can't you know,
- 41:11Speaker 3: every now and then, yeah, like if she's really really
- 41:14Speaker 3: sad and we haven't been holding her, amen, go pick
- 41:17Speaker 3: her up. But like if we've been holding her all
- 41:20Speaker 3: day and we're just taking ten minutes to make dinner,
- 41:24Speaker 3: I think she's gonna be okay.
- 41:27Speaker 2: Yeah, is she How close is she to walking? She's
- 41:31Speaker 2: getting close. From the standpoint of on the walker, it
- 41:35Speaker 2: was like we're kind of figuring it out. We're figuring
- 41:39Speaker 2: it out now.
- 41:40Speaker 3: It's like who down hallways, like going long ranges with that,
- 41:45Speaker 3: and then she's independently standing up now of like independent
- 41:50Speaker 3: of furniture. But once she gets up, she has no
- 41:54Speaker 3: idea what to do she just instantly pops down.
- 41:56Speaker 1: You you have, I think, right, like maybe I got
- 41:59Speaker 1: this from you. You have the little seat that sits
- 42:03Speaker 1: on the island.
- 42:04Speaker 2: Oh yeah, to where.
- 42:06Speaker 1: It's like when you're making dinner doing stuff around the kitchen,
- 42:08Speaker 1: you have them propped up to where they're they're like, yeah,
- 42:10Speaker 1: you can keep themselves busy. Yeah, because then you'll get
- 42:13Speaker 1: to where you can get them their little side stool
- 42:15Speaker 1: or whatever where they can kind of stand at the
- 42:17Speaker 1: island with you. But you're probably you're probably a couple
- 42:21Speaker 1: of months from that because you want them to because
- 42:24Speaker 1: it's like there's also the one that we have is
- 42:26Speaker 1: there's like an opening in the back so if she
- 42:28Speaker 1: wasn't you know, you didn't trust her enough, she.
- 42:30Speaker 2: Could like fall and go out the backside. Yeah. Yeah,
- 42:33Speaker 2: because you can like take this uh was it there? Yeah?
- 42:37Speaker 1: Their stool, I forget exactly the name of it, but
- 42:41Speaker 1: you can fold it into a table too, so if
- 42:42Speaker 1: they sit down at the little table or you can
- 42:45Speaker 1: prop it up.
- 42:46Speaker 2: Yes, okay, I have seen that in y'all's kitchen before. Yeah, yeah, to.
- 42:50Speaker 1: Where you'll just sit them there and they're like in
- 42:52Speaker 1: the they're like doing stuff, whether you give them something
- 42:54Speaker 1: to do, yes, or a little snack whatever to keep
- 42:57Speaker 1: them occupied. Yeah, but once you get strong enough to do,
- 43:00Speaker 1: you'll be able to get one of those.
- 43:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 43:01Speaker 3: Because she's at the point where she can, I can
- 43:06Speaker 3: confidently put her down in the living room and know
- 43:09Speaker 3: that she's not gonna hurt herself from falling.
- 43:12Speaker 2: She's gonna crawl to a piece of furniture.
- 43:14Speaker 3: She's going to prop herself up on it and stand
- 43:16Speaker 3: turned her body out with like one hand on the furniture.
- 43:20Speaker 2: Yeah, to like wave hide did dad? Dad? Of course?
- 43:23Speaker 2: Of course?
- 43:24Speaker 3: Watch blue We love Bluie And what a bozo move
- 43:29Speaker 3: I did week three on this show. I don't like
- 43:32Speaker 3: the show Bluey, and you can run the clip. I'm
- 43:35Speaker 3: such an idiot, dude. Bluey is one of the best
- 43:37Speaker 3: shows of all time.
- 43:38Speaker 2: Dad, Brain, I don't even remember you saying that.
- 43:41Speaker 3: It's like one of our initial quote graphics that did numbies,
- 43:45Speaker 3: because everybody was in the comments like this Sherman guy's
- 43:48Speaker 3: an idiot.
- 43:49Speaker 2: Yeah, that's an idiot remark. It was an idiot remark.
- 43:52Speaker 2: Blue's a great show, one of the better ones.
- 43:53Speaker 3: Out there, one of like a top three, and we've
- 43:57Speaker 3: been ripping bluey. But she's at a point where I
- 43:59Speaker 3: can calmly, she can operate in the living room. But
- 44:04Speaker 3: the solo walking, we're I mean, we're probably you know,
- 44:08Speaker 3: what would it be like three months away from that,
- 44:11Speaker 3: two months away from that of unless she keeps on
- 44:15Speaker 3: my diving headfirst into it. The people at the daycare
- 44:18Speaker 3: are like, she is so confidently like moving around without
- 44:22Speaker 3: us that we're honestly wanting to kind of move her
- 44:26Speaker 3: up into the older class. We just have to get
- 44:29Speaker 3: her on whole milk in off of formula in order
- 44:32Speaker 3: to do that, because she's still two naps a day
- 44:36Speaker 3: and formula. And they said she needs to be fully
- 44:39Speaker 3: whole milk, no bottles, and one nap a day before
- 44:43Speaker 3: we move her up. And so that's Jilla and I's.
- 44:45Speaker 2: Like new project challenge.
- 44:48Speaker 1: Yeah, because you start, when you start introducing whole milk,
- 44:52Speaker 1: you'll mix it with some of the formula, Yes.
- 44:53Speaker 2: Sir, start going a little bit at a time, yep.
- 44:56Speaker 2: And that's exactly what we're doing right now. Six ounces
- 44:59Speaker 2: of formula, one ounce.
- 45:00Speaker 3: Of whole mil Yeah, and she doesn't she's none the wiser.
- 45:04Speaker 2: She's deleting her bottles. Yeah, she'll love that whole milk. Yeah,
- 45:08Speaker 2: we'll get We'll get her onto it. I did. I
- 45:10Speaker 2: had a follow up that I did want to read.
- 45:12Speaker 3: Yeah, let's see some comments, because there were some comments
- 45:15Speaker 3: from our episode with the dads that we didn't follow
- 45:19Speaker 3: up until just now.
- 45:21Speaker 2: This one.
- 45:22Speaker 3: I just made eye contact with senor Chef Chef. There
- 45:26Speaker 3: were it was pretty much just John and Jack Hanning
- 45:31Speaker 3: comments on last week's episode. People love, what a great episode.
- 45:37Speaker 3: Chef and his dad sound so much alike.
- 45:42Speaker 2: What was the man?
- 45:43Speaker 1: There was one comment we might even said it last week,
- 45:47Speaker 1: but there was one comment to where it's like.
- 45:50Speaker 2: The Helium one. No, it's the one where your dad's
- 45:53Speaker 2: better at being you.
- 45:56Speaker 3: Oh, Papa Chef is better than Chef trying to do
- 46:01Speaker 3: a chef impersonation.
- 46:03Speaker 7: I didn't see that. Ye, yeah, it's pretty spot on. Yeah,
- 46:07Speaker 7: I'm gonna for the viewers. I'll throw in a little
- 46:09Speaker 7: picture just the show that's been like this since I
- 46:11Speaker 7: was a little kid. That comment. It's kind of funny
- 46:13Speaker 7: like reading all those because I've heard that since I
- 46:17Speaker 7: was four years old. And I'll throw in a picture
- 46:19Speaker 7: of me and my dad and my little brother really young,
- 46:22Speaker 7: and you'll see that. It's just been like this since
- 46:24Speaker 7: I was a little kid, So this is nothing.
- 46:26Speaker 2: How has it been with you and your brother? Brother
- 46:28Speaker 2: got to the family event and there were some words
- 46:31Speaker 2: said on the pod, there were some there were some
- 46:34Speaker 2: words said.
- 46:35Speaker 7: He texted me when the pod came out and he said,
- 46:37Speaker 7: he sent me a picture of Connor McGregor, uh with
- 46:40Speaker 7: when he threw the chair at Aldo's bus and he
- 46:45Speaker 7: just said, I'm going to kill you. But he's Actually
- 46:48Speaker 7: he came home last night, but for circumstances I can't
- 46:51Speaker 7: talk about in the pod for someone that a funeral,
- 46:54Speaker 7: So no blood has been drawn yet, but I'm sure
- 46:58Speaker 7: I'm just waiting for him to bow up to me.
- 47:00Speaker 2: It's gonna happen.
- 47:01Speaker 1: I text Cheff for the weekend. I said, ask your brother.
- 47:03Speaker 1: I said, how big a boy are you?
- 47:06Speaker 3: Somebody picked up the uh there was a comment that
- 47:11Speaker 3: said love it when Willie c h references roy D Mercer,
- 47:16Speaker 3: which that was roy D Mercer was something we bonded
- 47:18Speaker 3: over right when I first.
- 47:20Speaker 1: See Yeah, I mean you're you're you're from that era,
- 47:22Speaker 1: you're in that era, or you're a roy D Mercer sickle.
- 47:25Speaker 2: There's no I think I know who roy D Mercer is.
- 47:27Speaker 2: You either know him or you don't.
- 47:28Speaker 3: I got a pine wood stained box full of ass
- 47:31Speaker 3: whooping that Outn't mind opening on you. Also Chip with
- 47:39Speaker 3: one of my favorite quotes of all time, and I'm
- 47:41Speaker 3: was so sad that it happened off the pod when
- 47:44Speaker 3: the printer was giving deep fits and uh deeke sad.
- 47:48Speaker 3: Chipper looking at me so serious, was not looking for
- 47:52Speaker 3: a laugh and just goes a lot of his mom
- 47:55Speaker 3: coming out right now, a lot of his mom coming
- 47:58Speaker 3: out right now, and like, you can't pay a man
- 48:02Speaker 3: to like come up with.
- 48:04Speaker 2: Something that good on the sea, come off with it
- 48:06Speaker 2: on the spot. He's just saying that for thirty that's
- 48:09Speaker 2: a that's a big dad ism, that's a wholster.
- 48:12Speaker 5: Like if he's a Pokemon trainer with six starters, that's
- 48:14Speaker 5: number two.
- 48:17Speaker 1: Well, my dad would email with coach Dobson and Nebraska
- 48:20Speaker 1: my strength coach.
- 48:21Speaker 2: He would email with him. Incredible, dude.
- 48:25Speaker 1: My dad would like check in like, hey, you don't
- 48:27Speaker 1: get him going enough, just start throwing empties at him.
- 48:30Speaker 2: That'll get his ass going.
- 48:32Speaker 3: I was about to say, dude, does he still have
- 48:36Speaker 3: that email address? Because you have to find that email
- 48:39Speaker 3: check back, so throwing empties at it.
- 48:43Speaker 1: Or like when I have surgery on my had I
- 48:45Speaker 1: broke my foot. I had surgery on my ankle in Nebraska.
- 48:49Speaker 1: And then when they would just catch up, he'd be like,
- 48:52Speaker 1: he's got his mom's feet.
- 48:55Speaker 3: Brother, start throwing empties at him. Oh my god, dude.
- 49:04Speaker 3: I'll read another comment and that was, hey, something about
- 49:08Speaker 3: your dad, Lucas Meyer.
- 49:10Speaker 2: This was something that Chipper also brought up.
- 49:13Speaker 3: F y Schwanz in German means eggplant emoji and pronounced schawns,
- 49:21Speaker 3: I believe in German. The whole segment had me dying
- 49:26Speaker 3: laughing for the Dad's replied, damn. They really had us
- 49:29Speaker 3: running around saying we can't wait for the eggplant man,
- 49:33Speaker 3: the schwan's man.
- 49:36Speaker 2: Funs. Yeah, it's the Swans. I got a couple here.
- 49:42Speaker 1: This is from Polo Magno twenty three on YouTube. Again,
- 49:46Speaker 1: if you were listening and watching right now, leave comments,
- 49:49Speaker 1: drop some comments, please come on Opa, Willy sees donut,
- 49:54Speaker 1: Willy sees donut. Now this lock in and I got
- 49:58Speaker 1: another one here.
- 49:59Speaker 2: A matter of fact, we got a double from gobirds
- 50:03Speaker 2: five two five nine on Spotify.
- 50:04Speaker 1: Another one from gobirds he's been beat you twice now
- 50:07Speaker 1: on this one. That's gotta be your grandparents who struggle
- 50:09Speaker 1: with watching grandkids blow my mind, Like, bro, you did
- 50:12Speaker 1: this ship for eighteen years.
- 50:14Speaker 2: How am I better at it than you? And I
- 50:16Speaker 2: could not, like agree moor to Willie's burner. Yeah.
- 50:23Speaker 3: I looked at my mom when Scarlett first came home
- 50:25Speaker 3: from the hospitality were maried. They stuck around for a
- 50:28Speaker 3: little bit and she asked me one of those types
- 50:30Speaker 3: of questions that I legitimately looked at her, and all
- 50:33Speaker 3: I wanted to say in that moment is shouldn't you
- 50:36Speaker 3: be telling me?
- 50:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. I just met
- 50:40Speaker 2: this thing two weeks ago. Yeah, and now it's been decades. Yeah,
- 50:45Speaker 2: so you can be forgetful, but there's it's like you
- 50:50Speaker 2: can't even find the instinct in them. Yeah for the
- 50:54Speaker 2: kind of the right answer.
- 50:55Speaker 1: Yeah, the only thing that I have that I try
- 50:59Speaker 1: and come to grips with perspective wise, Yeah, what's going on.
- 51:02Speaker 2: It's just that the era of fatherhood was different back
- 51:05Speaker 2: in the day. It was like I can tell it
- 51:08Speaker 2: was I can tell my dad never changed my diaper.
- 51:12Speaker 2: I can tell my dad never really did a whole
- 51:15Speaker 2: lot of the baby stuff. Yeah, toddler stuff.
- 51:18Speaker 5: You can't convince me Johnny and Nitis could teach Patrick
- 51:21Speaker 5: Mahomes a thing about football. But we know Johnny Unitis
- 51:24Speaker 5: was good at football. And that's kind of where my
- 51:26Speaker 5: head's at with our dads. Yeah, the great And that's
- 51:29Speaker 5: a really good one. That's because, like I know, if
- 51:33Speaker 5: my mom was here, she would crush it.
- 51:36Speaker 1: I think so, Like I believe I've seen her around
- 51:38Speaker 1: even other kids as I've gotten older, Like she would
- 51:41Speaker 1: crush it.
- 51:41Speaker 2: And I can just tell she was like the mom
- 51:44Speaker 2: and the dad. Yeah, dad just worked. It's like putting
- 51:48Speaker 2: putting put food on the table, but it was just
- 51:50Speaker 2: a pudding food. It's we're in a different era.
- 51:52Speaker 1: Matter of fact, I'm gonna try and find this, but
- 51:55Speaker 1: how much involved dads now are in this generation is
- 52:00Speaker 1: massive percentage more a big margin more than dad's were
- 52:04Speaker 1: back in the old era.
- 52:05Speaker 3: Well, and a lot of a lot more women working
- 52:08Speaker 3: as well, full time, which I feel like has a
- 52:11Speaker 3: lot to do with it. Like your marriage, you and
- 52:15Speaker 3: Charro both working, Yes, my marriage both working full time.
- 52:21Speaker 3: Your fiance and yourself both working full time. You and
- 52:24Speaker 3: your girlfriend both working full time like it's it's a
- 52:29Speaker 3: different world.
- 52:30Speaker 2: Roll through the mold got a job and said you're
- 52:33Speaker 2: gonna do this with me? Yeah? Yeah, somebody said, somebody
- 52:38Speaker 2: put their hands up.
- 52:40Speaker 1: This, somebody let them work. Just joking, it's a bt bit.
- 52:46Speaker 1: That's a bt bit, that's a that's just dad's in
- 52:50Speaker 1: the garage. Milk knowing we fall short and just saying
- 52:54Speaker 1: easy low hanging through Joe hanging for that was immature.
- 52:59Speaker 3: Milk Teams, we love you, and mill Team six we
- 53:04Speaker 3: love the paychecks too.
- 53:05Speaker 6: I will.
- 53:06Speaker 3: I'll raise my hand and say it. Love double salaries,
- 53:09Speaker 3: Love double salaries. Yeah, duel income with kids. We were
- 53:14Speaker 3: duel income with no kids, ink a dink, But now
- 53:18Speaker 3: duel income with kids.
- 53:19Speaker 2: That's crazy. There was something else I was going to say, though.
- 53:23Speaker 1: You want to say something about my dad. I'm gonna
- 53:25Speaker 1: read this comment. I want to say somebody your dad.
- 53:28Speaker 2: I was going to say something about your dad.
- 53:31Speaker 3: I don't remember specifically, so I will just say an
- 53:34Speaker 3: overarching thing. It's always good to see Billy C. And
- 53:38Speaker 3: I got to talk to Billy C.
- 53:40Speaker 2: Way more.
- 53:43Speaker 3: This time around, and it sounds like from the conversation
- 53:46Speaker 3: I have with them, your dad listens to the show
- 53:49Speaker 3: pretty religiously.
- 53:51Speaker 2: My dad list consumes all of my content.
- 53:54Speaker 3: Okay, that makes a ton of sense, because it felt
- 53:57Speaker 3: like he knew me more than the last because he
- 54:01Speaker 3: didn't know me the last time I met him, and
- 54:04Speaker 3: he was talking to me very comfortably because he's a
- 54:06Speaker 3: man of few words. But the way that he was
- 54:08Speaker 3: speaking with me, I was like, yo, Billy, c is
- 54:12Speaker 3: like having a full on combo with me and opening.
- 54:15Speaker 3: It was just very fun to get to like know
- 54:17Speaker 3: your dad way more. He rips dude, he's the man, bro,
- 54:20Speaker 3: He's the man. The Duke of bon Terre, the Duke.
- 54:23Speaker 1: I found what I was thinking about because somebody, this
- 54:27Speaker 1: gentleman named Brad Wilcox on x OH treated the alert emoji.
- 54:33Speaker 1: Married dad's engagement on the home front has tripled. Married
- 54:37Speaker 1: dads of young children in nineteen sixty five did, on
- 54:40Speaker 1: average less than ten hours a week of any kind
- 54:44Speaker 1: of childcare or help around the house. Dad's in twenty
- 54:47Speaker 1: twenty four contributed to nearly thirty hours a week.
- 54:49Speaker 2: Oh my, so dad's out there.
- 54:52Speaker 1: Keep going. You're doing a good job. You're doing a
- 54:54Speaker 1: good job. I know, we beat ourselves up. Still a lot,
- 54:57Speaker 1: which is at times probably justified. But just know you're
- 55:01Speaker 1: doing a hell of a job and keep fucking going.
- 55:04Speaker 3: I remember the other thing that I was going to say.
- 55:06Speaker 3: You were talking about grandparents. Opah, what are you doing?
- 55:09Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 55:09Speaker 3: Even Lisa, who I would say, of the grandparents that
- 55:13Speaker 3: we have, Jill's mom, Jill single parent home, Lisa had
- 55:17Speaker 3: to do it all.
- 55:18Speaker 2: She's a rock star.
- 55:20Speaker 3: But even Lisa will look at me sometimes and asking
- 55:23Speaker 3: a question like am I supposed to do this? And
- 55:26Speaker 3: she's not quizzing me, she's not trying to like catch
- 55:29Speaker 3: me in something. She's genuinely asking And even I'm like,
- 55:33Speaker 3: I don't know the answer to that. So I feel
- 55:36Speaker 3: less bad about knowing the answer sometimes because I'm like,
- 55:39Speaker 3: even Lisa doesn't know.
- 55:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm good. Yeah, imagine their parents are grandparents parents.
- 55:47Speaker 3: Dude, listening to like the childhood that my dad had
- 55:50Speaker 3: of he had two sisters and two brothers, and they
- 55:55Speaker 3: literally was just like go rip, have fun, you go outside,
- 55:59Speaker 3: see how.
- 56:02Speaker 2: See it for two days? Yeah? Oh you're at Bobby's
- 56:05Speaker 2: house spending the night. Great. Sounds good.
- 56:08Speaker 1: I got some new dad shout outs here new dad's

- 57:48Speaker 3: am sure trying hard nowadays to make sure he knows that.
- 57:51Speaker 3: Shout out to my amazing wife Amy for buying the
- 57:55Speaker 3: sick merch and watching me and my dad watch golf
- 57:58Speaker 3: for eight hours straight. To you guys for creating a
- 58:01Speaker 3: family and community for dads. I've never felt so much
- 58:04Speaker 3: a part of something in my life. My mom asked
- 58:07Speaker 3: what shirt, what the shirt was, and when I told her,
- 58:10Speaker 3: she was so happy. She wished that this had been
- 58:14Speaker 3: back in had been around for my dad back in
- 58:18Speaker 3: the day. Pretty amazing stuff and keep going please Sicico

- 58:41Speaker 3: when the US Open is in. Now I am making
- 58:45Speaker 3: it a Father's Day tradition. Moving forward, Just a thought
- 58:49Speaker 3: for you, since I know you love golf. Ross just
- 58:53Speaker 3: unlocks something that I was going to play the Tin
- 58:58Speaker 3: Cup scene where he asked for another ball very recently
- 59:01Speaker 3: for a I do a clip inspo clip before our
- 59:07Speaker 3: busting meetings. I was gonna do that scene from Tin Cup.
- 59:11Speaker 3: That's one of my favorite movies. Ross, that's a that's
- 59:14Speaker 3: a really good call, dude. I actually cried the first
- 59:17Speaker 3: time I watched Tin Cup. I was an adult and
- 59:19Speaker 3: I teared up at that scene where he's asking for
- 59:22Speaker 3: another ball again again and.
- 59:25Speaker 2: Roy, this is your this is your last one. Man.
- 59:28Speaker 2: You miss this and we're out.

- 59:41Speaker 1: God, it is shout out Ross Tooley, Come on, I
- 59:43Speaker 1: got one here from Corey Barnhart.
- 59:45Speaker 2: What's up?
- 59:45Speaker 1: Boys, My name's Corey from Upstate New York. Day One
- 59:48Speaker 1: listener pet Sicico girl, dad of an almost nine year
- 59:51Speaker 1: old four years ago. On June twenty second, we lost
- 59:56Speaker 1: our little boy at twenty four weeks old.
- 59:59Speaker 2: It's been a long road.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: It's been a long road mourning the loss, but happy
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: to say my wife and I are expecting fourteen weeks
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: in and just found out it's a girl who the
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: only thing my daughter has ever wanted was a sibling,
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: and when we told her, she broke down in tears
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: of joy. She celebrates and includes your brother in her
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: life and all of her stories. Very nervous about the
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: age gap, but no, in my heart, we are making
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: the right choice by trying again. Love the show, never
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: miss an episode and definitely never forget to take the
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: trash out.
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: Much love, Corey And what was Corey's full name, Corey Barnhart.
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: Dude, Corey Barnhart, thank you for writing in and sharing that.
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: Dude.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I can only imagine how much they're hanging on
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: to get beyond the twenty four weeks.
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: Oh for sure, because that is a Yeah. That is hard. Yeah,
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: that is hard. That is hard. It warms my heart
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: to know that their nine year old just broke down
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: and is just excited.
- 1:00:57Speaker 3: And for excitement, for further excitement for him. Our neighbor
- 1:01:02Speaker 3: that I talk about a lot. They have a seven
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: year old and a two year old, and they often
- 1:01:06Speaker 3: talk about how awesome their kid's relationship is with that
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: large age gap, how helpful their daughter is and a
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: lot of things, and what incredible big sister she.
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: Is and Taylor's about. They're about to have their third
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: the oldest Win is nine. It's going to be nine,
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: So you have a nine year age gap. She's going
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: to be nine. Yeah, White and I are six years apart.
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: I love Wyatt, dude.
- 1:01:33Speaker 3: Her being nine makes me really sad. When I first
- 1:01:37Speaker 3: learned here, she was legal and now she's taller than Jill.
- 1:01:41Speaker 3: Jill's five foot by the way. Uh no, dude, I
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: she was the bean bro.
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: Yeah, we'd be over playing shuffleboard and she'd bean would
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: be down for a nap.
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: She'd come down, embrace everybody. Now she's nine. That long
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: curly hair, it's crazy.
- 1:02:00Speaker 3: It's crazy. I have a shout out here from Connor Ferguson.
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: Boys.
- 1:02:07Speaker 3: Just wanted to write in with some birthday wishes. My
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: son Cooper turns one on July fourth. Let's go Coop,
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: and I know baby Scarlet hits that milestone the day before,
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: so let's crack some ice cold ollipops and light some
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: fireworks for the kiddos.
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: I will take a sip to that. I have to.
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: I got a little orange squeeze Connor, great call, dude.
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: I got Jase Daniels Hated Rival Chris Bapple in my head.
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: Thank you Ellas for all the laps in stories each week.
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: My buddy introduced me to the pod right after Coop
- 1:02:40Speaker 3: was born by sending me the Jocko Good clip while
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: we're still in the hospital. I've been an avid listener
- 1:02:46Speaker 3: ever since. You guys are truly in inspiration to all
- 1:02:49Speaker 3: dads out there in the trenches every day, and the
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: community you've built is phenomenal. Remember boys, we don't have
- 1:02:55Speaker 3: to we get to sureman, It's been awesome listening to
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: you describe the milestones hilarious stories with Scarlet because I
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: can absolutely relate with my boy being the same age
- 1:03:05Speaker 3: Willie Ce where Spot is a big hit in our
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: bedtime story rotation as well, and Coop is getting a
- 1:03:13Speaker 3: copy of what do you do with an idea? For
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: his birthday. Yeah, Daddy, thank you for the recommendation. Shout
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: out to my amazing wife Steph for being the greatest
- 1:03:24Speaker 3: mom and wife. Coop Man and I could ever ask for.
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: We love you so much, Babe. To the pet Sikos,
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: remember to empty the diaper, Genie, take out the trash.
- 1:03:34Speaker 3: We are truly the lucky ones. Pet six out Connor
- 1:03:38Speaker 3: and Vermont and Connor provided us with some pictures of
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: that's him, let's go and Steph, there's little Steph and
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: there mister Coop.
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: Do the wear Spot book.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: I get so bored reading that damn book because like, oh,
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: where's that spot? He hasn't gotten his dinner yet, and
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: he's like, is he behind the door? She opens up
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: the flap and it's a bear. No, turn the page.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: Is he behind the clock? She opens up the clock. No,
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: and it's a snake inside. So I'll just be like,
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: now I switch it up last night, I changed the
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: whole thing up. Now when she opens the flaps, because
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: again this is a very short story. It's like, it's
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: just where spot. You turn the page, and the only
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: thing in the book is do you just open up
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: open up a flat? And when you open the flap.
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: It's just an animal and all it says is no,
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: there's no other words.
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: It's probably a good sign that you're bored with your
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: child's book. It's probably a good sign. But she always
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: picks it.
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: Like she never wants to with me. Charle's like, oh
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: she never does. Where it's she's always one spot with me.
- 1:04:45Speaker 3: You gotta get in there and you gotta put you
- 1:04:48Speaker 3: gotta tape in little factoids about your career in football
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: behind me? Each think, is he behind the clock? Oh wait,
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: what is that career? Career tackles?
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: That's it's really see in twenty twelve ten tackles, one
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: interception against Wisconsin. What that's crazy? Bought the green dot?
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: Is he? Is he under the bed? Oh that's me?
- 1:05:14Speaker 2: Second Sam, it's will comps first start because the Arizona
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: Cardinals two tackles, that's not spot. Huh. Let's check. Let's
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: check over here.
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: In the twenty fifteen against the Cowboys, this first interception, Oh,
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: is that him doing the swagon surf?
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: You have the little town that falls in Oh my god,
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: we got to do our own kids. Buck. We'll look
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: into it. Yeah, we'll look into it.
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: But what I've started to do is now I just
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: attack her with whatever what I think the animal would
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: do when she opens the flat, like look under the
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: bed in its the crocodile and I'm just like my
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: mom and just started.
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: Biting on her leg. She loved it. Wait, is this
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: were Scott Zila? Scott? Oh, Scott who reads all the books?
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: We're you know, all the books long stories, Charles. You know.
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: She apologized to me this morning because she's like this
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: one that we got. I told her to pick out
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: a book from the bookshelf that she hadn't read in
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: a while, and it's like something due with Maine. Yeah,
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: she like, get's a long one, but she loved it,
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: so you're probably gonna have to read it.
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: I'm like, god, these long ones, man.
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: Yeah, you're gonna start reaching in the library. It's gonna
- 1:06:21Speaker 3: be like Pride and Prejudice. You're like, wonder we rude?
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: You just read? We're doing Pride and Prejudice. Time we
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: do it.
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: I have a new new one here from Oscar Knella
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: via email. Hi guys, longtime listener, first time writer on
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: my brand new dad to be with our little ones.
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: Expected arrival in February twenty twenty seven. Come on at
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: forty years old with my wife at thirty nine. We're
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: starting this adventure a little later than some, but we're
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: incredibly grateful and excited to finally be here. That fires
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: me up. So a lot of women that get very
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: get anxious when that thirty six year old mark kits Yeah,
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: because risk and everything else goes up.
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: Oh for sure.
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: But I love this, and to be honest, I'm feeling
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: just about every emotion possible right now. Excited, nervous, hopeful, overwhelmed,
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: you name it. It feels like I've officially entered the
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: trenches of soon to be fatherhood, and I'm trying to
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: prepare as best as i can. Great head Start February
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: twenty seven, Like you're you have the right urgency right now?
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: Yes, you're good.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: I've already started scouting local dad groups around LA because
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: I know I'm going to need the wisdom of veterans
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: who have survived diaper blowout, sleep deprivation, and toddler negotiations.
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: I've also been working out more partly for my health,
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: but mostly because I figure fatherhood is going to involve
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: a lot of bending, lifting, carrying, and chasing tiny little
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: humans at full speed yep, one.
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: Hundred percent on that.
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: I like to think I'm a new recruit hoping to
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: earn a spot in Papa Teams. In the Papa Team
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: six squadron, training has begun, morales high, and readiness is
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: somewhere between fully prepared and absolutely no idea what I'm doing.
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: You're in the right pocket. Yeah, you're part of the
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: right squadron. That's me.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: Come on, Chef, I'd love to hear anybody you have
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: for the first time Dad, who are a few months
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: into the journey and trying to get their minds and
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: backs ready for what's ahead.
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: Thanks for all you do.
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: Your conversations have already helped me feel more prepared and
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: a little less alone as I step into this next chapter. Cheers,
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: says future Papa Team six recruit recruit. This is a
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: fellow Papa Team six recruit, Oscar Canela.
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: Dude.
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: Oscar is very locked in and already on the right track.
- 1:08:30Speaker 3: The only advice that I was going to give, which
- 1:08:33Speaker 3: he said, it best, that Dad's group.
- 1:08:36Speaker 2: I feel like doing this show with you.
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: Kind of filled the gap for me finding a Dad group,
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: Like I didn't really need it because I got to
- 1:08:45Speaker 3: do this show with you, and it made it very
- 1:08:48Speaker 3: tangible and realistic to just hear you talk about.
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: The right ends of people giving his ri and wins.
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: And losses, and even even seeing Taylor and Jeremy in
- 1:09:00Speaker 3: the office and talking with them, hearing them talk about
- 1:09:03Speaker 3: like getting around other dads, dude, is just such a
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: pro move. It's like, if you wanted to be a
- 1:09:09Speaker 3: good golfer, you'd probably hang out with other golfers. If
- 1:09:12Speaker 3: you wanted to be good at writing, you probably go
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: to writer convenient. You know what I'm saying. Just oh, yeah,
- 1:09:19Speaker 3: that would be my advice. Yeah, it seems like he's
- 1:09:21Speaker 3: on it. He's urgent, he's preparing. Just prepare to fail.
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: Also that that's the biggest thing is don't go sideways
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: when things don't go to planna. You're gonna learn throughout
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: the entire process, you're gonna fail through it all.
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: Man.
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: Yes, the best thing, like for me, what I did
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: when I was preparing for Rue to come was, and
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: I've said it in several episodes, but I wanted to
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: be on top of what sleep training was and involved
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: like twelve hours by twelve weeks. I've read strong Fathers,
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: Strong daughters because I was having a girl.
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: I read at wall Rue was here.
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: Yep, those things help me, like figuring out no, that
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: like my dumb brain before I had my wife and
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: obviously before we got pregnant, was a Mary a wife
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: and she'll do everything like, she'll do all the stuff
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: at home, she'll do all the stuff, help and raise
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: the kids. Like I'll just hope it's a boy, and
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: I'll want him to be a football player when he
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: grows up. I'll want him to be like dad. Yeah.
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: And then because of how much my mom did for us,
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: did for me, I'm just like, you marry somebody.
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: They'll handle it.
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: Yeah, they'll tell me what to do. Then you learn,
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: as we all know, in marriage, it doesn't work like that.
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: That expectation is insane and you work together. And so
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: figuring out that how much the women's stress when they're
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: pregnant and losing identity and going from whoever they were
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: to now going into the identity of mom and losing
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: themselves a little bit and seeing the hormone adaptations that
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: take place, the mental shift that they have, the things
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: that they have to be on top of, well, it
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: puts a lot of stress on them. For me, it
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: was obviously conversations with my wife by figuring out like, yeah,
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: I need to do I need to prepare. I need
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: to figure out lanes of preparing on my own. So
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: it's not me just be like, Hey, what what do
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: you need me to do? What do you want me
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: to do? What book should I read? Like you can
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: ask simple things like that, but I can tell you this,
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: your partner wants you to be intentional and think for yourself,
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: and it's just not them doing all the thinking. And
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: so my lane felt more of like, how do I
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: prepare for when the baby's here? The sleep training, because
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: obviously nobody gets a lot of sleep on the babies here.
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: How you can be how I can be supportive because
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: they're gonna wake They're gonna be waking up a lot
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: more in the middle of the night than I am,
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: or I'm hopeful anyway, there's some situations where you wake
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: up with your partner while they feed or plump, whatever
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: the case may be. But just I prepare that. I
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: don't know if I gave you a whole lot there
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: you did, But those are the things I thought about
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: as I was developing my own sense of self into Fatherhood.
- 1:12:04Speaker 3: A creator in the dad space, Trey Kennedy hopefully future
- 1:12:10Speaker 3: friend of the show. Tray Kennedy has a great character
- 1:12:13Speaker 3: that he does of a terrible father. Yeah, and my
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: favorite pit that he does is, honey, I'm here awaiting
- 1:12:21Speaker 3: your instructions.
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: I won't be doing anything until told otherwise. Yeah.
- 1:12:26Speaker 3: Yeah, that is every woman's worst nightmare. Yes, you haven't
- 1:12:32Speaker 3: told me to do anything, so I'm just waiting. I
- 1:12:34Speaker 3: won't do anything until you tell me what to do.
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:12:37Speaker 3: If you're doing stuff proactively, that dude. And that's not
- 1:12:41Speaker 3: even just with kids, that's just around the house. That's
- 1:12:44Speaker 3: like you want to get some bonus points with your
- 1:12:46Speaker 3: wife and your marriage. Not even talking about being a
- 1:12:49Speaker 3: good dad, dude. Oh my god. We just talked about
- 1:12:52Speaker 3: it at the beginning of the show where I was
- 1:12:54Speaker 3: doing the dishes and have the headphones off.
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: Yeah, just keep the eyes and ears open here because again,
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: there's nothing that you're going to be able to I mean,
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: there are things you're gonna be able to prepare for
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: before the baby comes, but just prepare to fail and
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: just be aware because you're gonna be in your own situation.
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: Like me, I was still trying to play football. We
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: had busts with the boys going. But knowing how much
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: work goes into the kid, goes into the newborn. When
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: they get here, you realize how much your wife has
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: to kind of sacrifice and do for all of it
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: to function.
- 1:13:28Speaker 3: Yeah, and the mental you touched on it with your
- 1:13:32Speaker 3: initial answer to you, the mental weight really anything to
- 1:13:36Speaker 3: soften that mental weight as the do date comes closer,
- 1:13:40Speaker 3: and because how many weeks pregnantity I forget from his.
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: The baby is due February twenty seven. Okay, so he's
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: got plenty.
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: Of he's just seeing prep right now. He is so
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: locked years.
- 1:13:52Speaker 3: Keep that years ahead, keep that same energy, h Oscar,
- 1:13:56Speaker 3: and just keep on lessening that mental load on your wife.
- 1:14:03Speaker 3: And dude, everyone wins.
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: And you're saying it right now, it's less about the
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: newborn and more about the partnership, yes, more about the
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: teammate aspect with your wife, Yes, Because.
- 1:14:15Speaker 3: When y'all are a good team and are fully operating
- 1:14:18Speaker 3: and know that you have each other's backs, that's when
- 1:14:22Speaker 3: the fireworks and the fund happen with the kiddo.
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: That's when the mental load is off and.
- 1:14:27Speaker 3: Now we're both explore operating Yes, we're operating, and we're
- 1:14:31Speaker 3: having fun with our girl and we're able to play
- 1:14:33Speaker 3: with her at dinner and make funny faces at her
- 1:14:36Speaker 3: and feed her because dad's got clean up and mom's
- 1:14:39Speaker 3: got bedtime duty.
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: After this, we're good. We got it. Like it, everything
- 1:14:45Speaker 2: starts working, Everything starts working.
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: It's fun to watch you, man, because I just remember
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: when you were not even having Scarlet yet, the conversations
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: we would have, and even when Scarlett was here, the conversation,
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: how they've developed over the last year. Your confidence, your
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: comfort in talking about these things. Now that you have
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: a year of experience, well, a year of messing up
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: exactly like you said, truly like it.
- 1:15:10Speaker 3: You will learn so much from just fucking up. It's
- 1:15:14Speaker 3: the best way to learn as a dad.
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: And as long as you care and your intentional, like,
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: you're gonna figure it out.
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:15:20Speaker 3: And if you care and your intentional, you're still gonna
- 1:15:24Speaker 3: fuck up, like you are. Not just saying that to
- 1:15:26Speaker 3: make people feel good. Yeah, No, not at all. This
- 1:15:29Speaker 3: is something that will never ever go to plan ever,
- 1:15:33Speaker 3: just being a dad.
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: Yeah, man, I'd love to do a crack a cold one.
- 1:15:39Speaker 3: Oh well, as you know, Willy see crack a cold

- 1:17:35Speaker 1: some vacation they're going on, because mine is to Italy
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: and Austria.
- 1:17:39Speaker 3: Yes, and I'm pretty sure, and I don't want to
- 1:17:44Speaker 3: put them on blast, but I'm pretty sure that my
- 1:17:47Speaker 3: dad and my brother and my mom all sparkling water peeps.
- 1:17:52Speaker 3: But I don't know if they are on the new

- 1:18:30Speaker 1: gmail dot com APT six. I wanted to give a
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: first Father's Day shout out to my husband Jordan. He
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: wrote in to you guys for an MT six shout
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: out for myself, Brie for giving birth on March nineteenth
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: to our eight pounds seven ounce son. Oh when you
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: officially had joined the PT six gang. That was read
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: on your March twenty fifth episode, and I think it
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: would be so amazing for the follow up shout out.
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: I've included a picture of Jordan walking our son out
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: of the hospital, rocking his and.
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: Here's the shout out. He deserves.

- 1:19:23Speaker 2: He is the backbone of.
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: Our family and watching him love, care for, and show
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: up for our son and myself every single day has

- 1:19:32Speaker 1: an amazing podcast that has given Jordan the confidence to
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: become the best first time father that I knew he
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: would be.

- 1:19:40Speaker 1: In a shout out from the boys, love you, guys,
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: empty six Bree Jordan's Let's.
- 1:19:48Speaker 3: Go, Jordan, thank you for rocking our stuff. Leaving the
- 1:19:52Speaker 3: hustle Deek will Will was laughing, saying he shouldn't have
- 1:19:56Speaker 3: read the top part of the email out loud, but
- 1:19:58Speaker 3: I'm glad he did.
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: I'm yeah. I was trying, no, no, no, no, you were breaking.
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: I'm down that I read the first part of the
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: email I'm saying, Look, I'm saying she structured it already
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: saying I wanted to give a first Father's Day shout
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: out to my husband Jordan. Yeah, so she doesn't need
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: to put that in her next shout out. This says
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: I want to give a huge shout out to my
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: husband Jordan for his first Father's Day. Yes, because I'm
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: already this is already the shout out for the Father's
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: Day shout.
- 1:20:26Speaker 2: You already said that. It's a shout now Father's Day.
- 1:20:29Speaker 5: What I don't like is that this episode coming before Greg,
- 1:20:33Speaker 5: where Greg, I think, has taught you a few things
- 1:20:36Speaker 5: now about getting back and reading grammar and cards, and
- 1:20:40Speaker 5: that's a teaser.
- 1:20:40Speaker 2: For the Greg. It seems like you're in that headspace now. Yeah,
- 1:20:43Speaker 2: but I didn't mess nothing up you. I wrote bo
- 1:20:46Speaker 2: was on the card.
- 1:20:47Speaker 3: And everyone is in full agreement, like if I was
- 1:20:52Speaker 3: friends with Brien.
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: She's like, hey, Willie, see can you check this over
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: before I said it in the six and one the
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: dad's at gmail dot com. Yeah, so yeah, let me
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: take a look at Brie. This is this is honestly amazing.
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: The only thing I would correct is you don't have
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: to see I want to give a huge shout out
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: to my husband Jordan for his first Father's Day, because
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: you already said that in the first paragraph, So just
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: delete that part and just go in, just go into
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: the shout out or a little boy only a few
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: months old.
- 1:21:15Speaker 2: And if I delete that part, then it's good to go.
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: I can send him Yeah, yeah, yeah, because will if
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: you watch, he reads everything that's on the card.
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: Oh don't you don't want to repeat himself? That is right.
- 1:21:26Speaker 2: Let me change that. Yeh, I'll get that change.
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: And for all the haters out there, Greg the one
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: you here, listen to next week with Greg, it was
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: it was a moment of relief.
- 1:21:39Speaker 2: We put one card in that man's hands, one and
- 1:21:42Speaker 2: he tore it apart. He tore it apart.
- 1:21:46Speaker 3: Imagine if we had had of do like eight by
- 1:21:49Speaker 3: the end of it, he would have been like, why
- 1:21:50Speaker 3: why do y'all do this?
- 1:21:52Speaker 2: Why do you do it? Because for the love of
- 1:21:54Speaker 2: the game, man, the love of the game. I have
- 1:21:57Speaker 2: a PT six community.
- 1:21:59Speaker 3: Uh note this came from this is a really cool name,
- 1:22:04Speaker 3: Riker McClaskey.
- 1:22:06Speaker 2: Wow.
- 1:22:07Speaker 3: Riiker McClaskey wrote in PT sikos lifelong listener here one
- 1:22:12Speaker 3: full year and proud father of my daughter, thirteen month
- 1:22:17Speaker 3: old Scottie aka another Scott Sille.
- 1:22:20Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 1:22:21Speaker 3: Come on, Riker, Thank you boys for all that you do.
- 1:22:23Speaker 3: I've enjoyed episodes at two am while rocking my daughter
- 1:22:26Speaker 3: back to sleep in the trenches and on PT fit
- 1:22:29Speaker 3: runs where I'm mostly just trying not to die. Thanks
- 1:22:33Speaker 3: for keeping this fatherhood journey fun. Today's topic trash etiquette.
- 1:22:39Speaker 3: Nice you see what Riker has to stave in as
- 1:22:42Speaker 3: a dad. I am drowning in trash, Amazon boxes, white
- 1:22:46Speaker 3: diaper boxes, everything in between, and never ends. My cans
- 1:22:51Speaker 3: are full midway through the week every week, so I
- 1:22:55Speaker 3: need the PT ruling. Is it acceptable to throw your
- 1:22:58Speaker 3: overflow of draft into a neighbor's can when theirs isn't full.
- 1:23:05Speaker 3: I'll go ahead and tell you I'm already doing it, Riker,
- 1:23:16Speaker 3: every Wednesday night under the cover of darkness. I'm making
- 1:23:19Speaker 3: the rounds, Riker, I'm making the rounds. I'll let you
- 1:23:23Speaker 3: weigh in, but I am PTT Poppa team trash.
- 1:23:27Speaker 2: So here's the question.
- 1:23:28Speaker 3: If your cans are full, is it fair game to
- 1:23:31Speaker 3: buy extra trash in your neighbor's cans?
- 1:23:37Speaker 2: Don't get caught.
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: I think I think it's ruling upheld. I see where
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: his head's at.
- 1:23:49Speaker 2: I think I've done it like a couple times in
- 1:23:51Speaker 2: my life, not anytime recently, but I've like taken trash
- 1:23:55Speaker 2: and put it in.
- 1:23:56Speaker 3: Lean it's on. This would be my I take on it.
- 1:24:02Speaker 3: If mine are full and they're overflowing and they look ugly,
- 1:24:07Speaker 3: and it's first thing in the morning, and my neighbors
- 1:24:10Speaker 3: have already wheeled theirs to the curb and mine are
- 1:24:13Speaker 3: doing this game where the lid's like up like this
- 1:24:15Speaker 3: because I have so much trash. Yeah, I would then
- 1:24:19Speaker 3: check their cans. Oh, they got some room in there.
- 1:24:21Speaker 3: I'll put some of mine in there so then mine
- 1:24:24Speaker 3: don't look crazy ugly. Yeah, I'm cool with that. But
- 1:24:28Speaker 3: I think he's talking about midweek being like, go put
- 1:24:32Speaker 3: this over and uh, I'll go put it in there can.
- 1:24:36Speaker 3: Is that what he's saying.
- 1:24:37Speaker 2: We ain't gonna tell on him. I would never. We
- 1:24:40Speaker 2: ain't gonna tell on them. Have you done? Have you done?
- 1:24:42Speaker 4: No?
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: No, No, I haven't done anything like I can't. The
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: biggest one where I'm laughing at the feeling that you
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: know he has, he feels going alive because when we
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: were oh yeah, like when we were going back to
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: when it was the snowstorm and we were going, you know,
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: dumpsters taking our trash do on them and on dump.
- 1:24:59Speaker 2: Oh yet, don't let me judge. I hope nobody thinks about.
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: I'm saying the feeling you have when you get out
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: throwing in the dumpster, where you're like, man, is there
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: somebody in a window somewhere seeing me right now?
- 1:25:09Speaker 2: Yeah? Yea, And they got their phone in their hand,
- 1:25:11Speaker 2: like I'm gonna get this. They call the cup. Yeah,
- 1:25:13Speaker 2: I'm gonna call the cops on them.
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: But knowing he's like sneaking over kind of like looking around,
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: check in, being like and then having to make the
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: decision I'm good to do this throwing in there.
- 1:25:24Speaker 2: I need.
- 1:25:25Speaker 3: I need a selfie from Riker while he's doing the
- 1:25:28Speaker 3: trash run, is what I need? Or a video? Yeah,
- 1:25:32Speaker 3: I might need a selfie video of.
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: Right he's pulling a you just did the Neutral, the
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: Neutral commercial for Busting.
- 1:25:38Speaker 2: Yeah, he's want to go, go, go, go, go, go go.
- 1:25:40Speaker 3: He sneaking around Ryker when you sit in the video,
- 1:25:44Speaker 3: wear a ski mask, whatever you need to do to
- 1:25:46Speaker 3: keep yourself anonymous. But would love a selfie video of
- 1:25:49Speaker 3: Riker showing us how it's done, and Riker what you
- 1:25:53Speaker 3: can probably do if you think they're.
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: Not onto you, you know you do this us. Get
- 1:26:01Speaker 2: him a gift. Yeah, set it on their porch, neighbor,
- 1:26:07Speaker 2: and maybe a written card. Maybe you allude to you
- 1:26:11Speaker 2: putting some trash in their their bits. I don't know
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: what his relationship is with it with the neighbors.
- 1:26:15Speaker 3: Sneak it in there, so you gotta get it off
- 1:26:17Speaker 3: your conscient Yeah, yeah, exactly. If I ever felt like
- 1:26:22Speaker 3: my trash was overflowing and I could put it in
- 1:26:24Speaker 3: your cants, like I would feel comfortable enough to do that.
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: That's how much I love you guys.
- 1:26:29Speaker 5: Do you know what we're doing? East genuinely? Uh, My
- 1:26:32Speaker 5: neighbor's really cool. I have two recycles, he has one.
- 1:26:35Speaker 5: We each have one trash can, so he'll put stuff
- 1:26:37Speaker 5: in mine. I put stuff in his. If I put
- 1:26:38Speaker 5: stuff in his, I bring his bins back because they're
- 1:26:41Speaker 5: next to each other. So I have trash that's extra
- 1:26:43Speaker 5: and I see it.
- 1:26:44Speaker 2: There we go.
- 1:26:47Speaker 5: He looked at me when he goes say thanks for
- 1:26:49Speaker 5: bringing the bins back. I was like, yeah, I filled
- 1:26:50Speaker 5: yours up, so like got it and he's done it
- 1:26:52Speaker 5: for me too, So that's our Like, if we put
- 1:26:54Speaker 5: stuff in yours, I'll bring your bins back for it.
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: It sounds like Ryker just needs to get some rapport
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: going with his neighbors.
- 1:26:59Speaker 3: Yeah, sitting on the guilt or find a neighbor that
- 1:27:02Speaker 3: just sucks you hold them up, mold of up.
- 1:27:07Speaker 2: Maybe that's the spotty's in I either either way, I'm
- 1:27:12Speaker 2: pro Riker, I'm team Riker. Yeah, of course we're pro
- 1:27:16Speaker 2: Dad's man. We're figuring it out. I have some voicemails here.
- 1:27:21Speaker 2: Do you want to do a voicemails to a voicemail?
- 1:27:24Speaker 3: This one is called grandparent Teams six on one, the
- 1:27:27Speaker 3: Dad's call in, leave a voicemail. And if you don't
- 1:27:30Speaker 3: want to call in and leave a voicemail, you said
- 1:27:32Speaker 3: it earlier in the show.
- 1:27:34Speaker 2: Yeah, the email, hit the email, hit the email.
- 1:27:36Speaker 3: Six on one, the Dad's at gmail dot com.
- 1:27:42Speaker 8: Good morning, this is Heather calling from Colorado. I am
- 1:27:47Speaker 8: currently only on episode I'm not even sure what episode.
- 1:27:51Speaker 8: October eight, twenty twenty five. I started from the beginning.
- 1:27:54Speaker 8: I am almost getting caught up working on it turned
- 1:27:58Speaker 8: onto the podcast from my boys. They are twenty nine
- 1:28:03Speaker 8: and currently twenty seven, and I just wanted.
- 1:28:07Speaker 2: To call in.
- 1:28:07Speaker 8: You know, pizza Fridays growing up definitely was a thing
- 1:28:11Speaker 8: for our family, and I just want to say that
- 1:28:14Speaker 8: doing that with my boys being twenty nine, twenty seven,
- 1:28:18Speaker 8: My oldest is part of PT six for thirteen months now.
- 1:28:23Speaker 8: My other son is actually going to be part of
- 1:28:26Speaker 8: PT six in less than four weeks. Super stoked about that,
- 1:28:30Speaker 8: but calling in to say that we get together every
- 1:28:34Speaker 8: Wednesday for family dinner. We rotate between the houses our
- 1:28:38Speaker 8: house the boys' houses, and we get together once a week,
- 1:28:43Speaker 8: touch base with the family and definitely creating that dinner
- 1:28:49Speaker 8: time conversation being around the table, growing up, watching our
- 1:28:54Speaker 8: kids grow up, and us having grandkids now, so we
- 1:28:56Speaker 8: need a part of PT six or grandparents because Rock
- 1:29:02Speaker 8: in this lolly position as grandma is absolutely amazing, great
- 1:29:07Speaker 8: and best job I've ever had in the entire world. However,
- 1:29:11Speaker 8: I just wanted to say that creating that family time,
- 1:29:14Speaker 8: creating that bond. We have been doing this now since
- 1:29:17Speaker 8: the boys came back from college, that we get together
- 1:29:20Speaker 8: every Wednesday night for dinner, regardless of our schedules. We
- 1:29:23Speaker 8: plan around family dinner, and we are very intentional with
- 1:29:26Speaker 8: our time, and I think it's created a bond that
- 1:29:29Speaker 8: we have that a lot of other families don't. So
- 1:29:32Speaker 8: it's worth creating that intentional time with your family as
- 1:29:36Speaker 8: soon as you can, because every minute counts. And now
- 1:29:40Speaker 8: those grand babies are going to be understanding that, Yep,
- 1:29:43Speaker 8: Wednesday nights, we all get together regardless of what else
- 1:29:46Speaker 8: is going on in our lives because we love each other,
- 1:29:49Speaker 8: support each other, and will always be the anchors for everyone.
- 1:29:54Speaker 8: Shout out to you guys for doing such an amazing job.
- 1:29:57Speaker 8: Appreciate the podcast.
- 1:29:59Speaker 2: Love you. It's a wonderful voicemail that right there, Like,
- 1:30:07Speaker 2: for me, that's a that's a family when they have
- 1:30:09Speaker 2: those gatherings every Wednesday.
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: If I was like in their bubble, Yeah, that'd be
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: a family. I look at back, man. I want that
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: for my family because they're a generation. They got a generational,
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: they got the grandparents. They do it every Wednesday. Now
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: their grandkids are gonna become, like she's saying, they're going
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: to be coming into that routine. They're just gonna know like,
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: this is the standard. This is the intentionality that we
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: put in with our family. That fires me up.
- 1:30:33Speaker 2: What do you think about G unit for the grandparents?
- 1:30:39Speaker 2: Do we like that? G unit? Grand Team six, Grand
- 1:30:43Speaker 2: Team six, sag Team six, William, I hope you salt face.
- 1:30:55Speaker 5: That was a nice voicemail from a really that she
- 1:30:59Speaker 5: loves us.
- 1:31:00Speaker 2: I know we're not gonna call her sagg Tude six.
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: Well, but if they're if they're sick gos like we
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: think they are, they're.
- 1:31:08Speaker 2: Laughing right now watching this. They're we're joking. He's a
- 1:31:13Speaker 2: jokey guy. He's like, hey, Jo, you gotta swoop. He said, Saggy,
- 1:31:20Speaker 2: what you know what?
- 1:31:25Speaker 3: Great idea And we'll we'll look into it. We'll look
- 1:31:29Speaker 3: at it.
- 1:31:29Speaker 2: We'll look into it. My grandma she had hearing aids
- 1:31:37Speaker 2: strong ones. She him out death type where you could
- 1:31:41Speaker 2: hear yourself when you talk to her.
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: Sometimes yeah, or they'd be going out of whack, like Grandma,
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: do not hear that?
- 1:31:46Speaker 2: You got to fix it. It's like R two D.
- 1:31:50Speaker 2: Just do that again, Grandma, Deaf Team six deep space again.
- 1:32:15Speaker 2: We're building the community. We're just building the community, guys.

- 1:32:43Speaker 6: got a two and a half year old son. Daughter
- 1:32:46Speaker 6: was born today. We're stoked.
- 1:32:49Speaker 2: You can hear it.
- 1:32:49Speaker 6: And the reason why I'm calling. Tell you the story
- 1:32:52Speaker 6: of how we got here. Okay, we were close to
- 1:32:56Speaker 6: having this baby in the car, all right, eighteen minutes
- 1:33:00Speaker 6: from hospital arrivals to delivery. Okay, cutting it that close, yelling.
- 1:33:06Speaker 6: I was driving faster than Fat Stafford on the way
- 1:33:09Speaker 6: to a Texas barbecue buffet. Okay, through the intersection, I
- 1:33:15Speaker 6: swear I heard somebody yell raishel praise Dale. That's what
- 1:33:20Speaker 6: I was going through there. But we made it safe. Okay,
- 1:33:24Speaker 6: maybe or maybe not. Some traffic laws were broken, you know,
- 1:33:28Speaker 6: but we made it. Everybody's happy and healthy. Couldn't be
- 1:33:33Speaker 6: more excited. Uh yeah. Pt six, Uh Chapter two, Here
- 1:33:39Speaker 6: we go, girl, dad life, Let's go, boys.
- 1:33:42Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 1:33:43Speaker 3: Man, He's a cup of tea or something for that boy.
- 1:33:47Speaker 3: I was about to say, he's been yelling.
- 1:33:49Speaker 2: Some honey and lemon in it. He's been yelling.
- 1:33:51Speaker 3: He's he was literally driving and the baby's literally coming
- 1:33:55Speaker 3: out in the car.
- 1:33:56Speaker 2: You didn't like shut you squeeze some shut he wait
- 1:34:00Speaker 2: till we get there. He close it up. I don't
- 1:34:04Speaker 2: care what you got it. We ain't having it in
- 1:34:08Speaker 2: the car. Oh man, he's gone through it.
- 1:34:12Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I mean two seconds into that call, I
- 1:34:15Speaker 3: was like, there's some where it might just happened. Yeah,
- 1:34:19Speaker 3: we're about to hear a crazy story. What's going on?
- 1:34:23Speaker 2: That's tight? Yeah, that's tight tight. Top tiered Dad Songs
- 1:34:29Speaker 2: is our last voicemail.
- 1:34:32Speaker 4: Hey boys, Brian from Long Island here, father of one
- 1:34:36Speaker 4: stud twenty month old boy. Yeah, my second baby boy,
- 1:34:39Speaker 4: on the way to sit here into August. Yeah, so
- 1:34:42Speaker 4: we're getting dangerously close to man coverage in my house. Uh,
- 1:34:45Speaker 4: but just listen to the latest episode, Boys and other
- 1:34:49Speaker 4: banger is always with the Dad Done. But after the
- 1:34:52Speaker 4: episode was over, song called came on Spotify by Charles
- 1:34:59Speaker 4: Wesley Godwin and boys. It's It's enough to make your
- 1:35:03Speaker 4: grown man cry, top tier dad song. So it got
- 1:35:07Speaker 4: me thinking, what are some of your top tier dad songs?
- 1:35:11Speaker 4: Like me and my Dad, we have drinking beer with Dad.
- 1:35:16Speaker 4: My kid rock that always hits. But I know, girl,
- 1:35:19Speaker 4: dad songs just hit different, you know, hit that softer spot.
- 1:35:24Speaker 4: But yeah, just wanted to know what your opinions, your
- 1:35:26Speaker 4: your top dad songs were and uh, you know, I
- 1:35:29Speaker 4: know people say it every week, but deserves being reiterated.
- 1:35:34Speaker 4: Thank you boys for all you do for this community,
- 1:35:37Speaker 4: the wins and the losses, you know, the highs and
- 1:35:39Speaker 4: the lows botherhood. It's good to know you're not you know,
- 1:35:42Speaker 4: you're not the only one who's falling short sometimes or
- 1:35:45Speaker 4: you know, getting the same wins.
- 1:35:47Speaker 2: But yeah, appreciate all you boys do. Uh pepe sick
- 1:35:51Speaker 2: go out, top tiered dad song? What was the song
- 1:35:57Speaker 2: that he said? It kind of cuts out when he says,
- 1:36:00Speaker 2: let me try it one more time. Hey, their Son
- 1:36:11Speaker 2: by Charles Wesley Godwin, Hey, their Son? And why Flores?
- 1:36:15Speaker 2: And whyfe Flores? He wants a girl? Dad one?
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: Yours by Post Malone. Oh that's right, you want to
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: you want to cry?
- 1:36:25Speaker 2: Yeah, you said that one broke.
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: Buckled me in the car. It has through on three
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: different occasions. But yours throwback Kenny Chesney, there goes my life. Oh,
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: it's so funny listening to it now because obviously think
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: about my daughters.
- 1:36:43Speaker 2: But when you think about in high school playing ball, Yeah,

- 1:38:26Speaker 3: I heard it. I believe in a target just like
- 1:38:30Speaker 3: playing over the talk about like the least romantic place
- 1:38:34Speaker 3: ever of just fluorescent lights, people all around, and that
- 1:38:39Speaker 3: song was playing.
- 1:38:40Speaker 2: Dude.
- 1:38:40Speaker 3: I haven't sat there and listened to it by myself,
- 1:38:43Speaker 3: but I think I know what will happen when I do.
- 1:38:47Speaker 2: It's a very sweet song, yours post Malone. I need

- 1:39:18Speaker 1: The one item I had to have was the white
- 1:39:20Speaker 1: hat and black rope that says good war. At the

- 1:40:11Speaker 1: football player's name. Now you're just you're painting his.
- 1:40:14Speaker 2: Career for a stinky in real time. Thank you. What
- 1:40:17Speaker 2: tat should he get? Is this PT six specific? He
- 1:40:24Speaker 2: should get the bear. I'll just say, right behind Sharon,
- 1:40:26Speaker 2: he should get the bear.
- 1:40:28Speaker 1: I'm thinking bear, simply pop a team six or simply good.
- 1:40:35Speaker 2: I like the wolves too.
- 1:40:38Speaker 5: Right behind the Wolves, behind you, shir, What if it's
- 1:40:41Speaker 5: the bear and he's the smoke from his cigarles and
- 1:40:43Speaker 5: on his helmet.
- 1:40:44Speaker 2: It's as good God.
- 1:40:51Speaker 3: It depends on where he gets the tattoo forehead, forehead
- 1:40:56Speaker 3: or a tear.
- 1:40:56Speaker 2: Drop of the Teddy Bear.
- 1:40:57Speaker 9: But I something something like that on like a leg
- 1:41:05Speaker 9: or like thigh, Like I just feel like that would
- 1:41:09Speaker 9: look really good on the thigh.
- 1:41:10Speaker 2: That feels like an arm tat to me, like a
- 1:41:13Speaker 2: forearm tat. He can do something sick on his chest
- 1:41:17Speaker 2: or he get ass tat. Ooh that says put a
- 1:41:21Speaker 2: bow on it.
- 1:41:24Speaker 3: That on his ass would put a bow on it
- 1:41:27Speaker 3: underneath it would go crazy.
- 1:41:31Speaker 1: I hope he does it, and I hope he sends photos,
- 1:41:33Speaker 1: maybe even a video.
- 1:41:34Speaker 3: Who knows Whylen Ransom with the assat put a bow
- 1:41:39Speaker 3: on it? I have an email that apparently is a
- 1:41:44Speaker 3: sad alert email.
- 1:41:46Speaker 2: Oh hello, I will get into that.
- 1:41:50Speaker 3: Uh, Alexis, I want to apologize and advance for the
- 1:41:55Speaker 3: pronunciation of your last name. This comes from Alexis Wquez.
- 1:42:00Speaker 3: Good morning boys. My name is Alexis. I am so sorry.
- 1:42:05Speaker 3: Let me start again. The s as silent in her name.
- 1:42:08Speaker 3: So my name is Alexi and I joined Papa Team
- 1:42:12Speaker 3: six three months ago thanks to my incredible wife. I'm
- 1:42:15Speaker 3: gonna it's a guy. I'm gonna start completely over and
- 1:42:19Speaker 3: apologize for everything.
- 1:42:20Speaker 5: I assume it is a gentlem I should say, but
- 1:42:22Speaker 5: the name is Alexi, as in the guy from Stranger Things.
- 1:42:24Speaker 3: Yeah, Alexi, Okay, I am locked in now, lock in,
- 1:42:28Speaker 3: I am locked in now. This comes from Alexi. What
- 1:42:32Speaker 3: guess Alexi says? My name is Alexi and I joined
- 1:42:37Speaker 3: Papa Team six three months ago.
- 1:42:39Speaker 2: Thanks to my incredible wife.
- 1:42:40Speaker 3: She went through forty hours of labor and pushed for
- 1:42:44Speaker 3: four hours just to have the obi's cut her stomach
- 1:42:47Speaker 3: and simultaneously push and pull our little guy out of
- 1:42:51Speaker 3: the birth canal. She went through hell like a true
- 1:42:54Speaker 3: empty Siko so we could welcome our little Sebastian into
- 1:42:58Speaker 3: our beautiful family. Originally from Belgium, I moved to Indiana
- 1:43:03Speaker 3: six years ago. All of my family still lives abroad,
- 1:43:08Speaker 3: so we were so excited to have my parents visit
- 1:43:12Speaker 3: for five days at the end of April to meet
- 1:43:14Speaker 3: their second grandchild. Yes, my older brother beat us by
- 1:43:19Speaker 3: welcoming their adorable baby girl a month before us, in
- 1:43:24Speaker 3: true firstborn fashion. We were very much in the trenches
- 1:43:27Speaker 3: during my parents' visit, but managed to have a great time.
- 1:43:31Speaker 2: With them. They were able to give.
- 1:43:32Speaker 3: Us downtimes where we could focus on ourselves and our
- 1:43:35Speaker 3: little guy. Even spent nights at the Airbnb nearby to
- 1:43:38Speaker 3: lighten our load in babysats so we could have our
- 1:43:42Speaker 3: first date away from the kid to celebrate our thirteenth
- 1:43:45Speaker 3: year anniversary of getting together. We spent quality time with them,
- 1:43:51Speaker 3: relaxing in the yard, eating lunch and dinner with them,
- 1:43:54Speaker 3: enjoying neighborhood walks and whatnot. Such a great visit. However,
- 1:43:59Speaker 3: while they were there, I started noticing that my dad
- 1:44:02Speaker 3: wasn't all himself. He seemed very tired, dozing off on
- 1:44:04Speaker 3: the couch pretty often throughout the day. I thought he
- 1:44:07Speaker 3: was jetlagged and getting to the jet lag I've been
- 1:44:10Speaker 3: getting to him. Plus his upcoming retirement at the end
- 1:44:14Speaker 3: of May was certainly weighing on his mind.
- 1:44:17Speaker 2: He would also use some.
- 1:44:18Speaker 3: Weird, out of place words every now and then while conversing,
- 1:44:23Speaker 3: think using the word clock instead of saying kitchen.
- 1:44:27Speaker 2: It got significantly worse than just a couple days.
- 1:44:29Speaker 3: I dropped them off at the airport with the knot
- 1:44:31Speaker 3: in my stomach, hopeful that it wasn't anything too serious.
- 1:44:35Speaker 3: They landed back home and headed straight to the er
- 1:44:38Speaker 3: to get a CT scan, and there it was a
- 1:44:41Speaker 3: very large mass in his brain, roughly the size of
- 1:44:43Speaker 3: a ping pong ball, with a massive.
- 1:44:47Speaker 2: Edema. A massive edema, I believe all around it.
- 1:44:53Speaker 3: My parents called me early in the morning to let
- 1:44:56Speaker 3: me know and spend the next hour sobbing while looking
- 1:45:00Speaker 3: at pictures of our trip. The next couple of weeks
- 1:45:03Speaker 3: were pretty intense, countless MRIs and doctor's appointments and hundreds
- 1:45:08Speaker 3: of video calls with Belgium trying to be present for
- 1:45:12Speaker 3: my dad and my family even five hundred or five
- 1:45:15Speaker 3: thousand miles away. They were able to schedule a surgery
- 1:45:18Speaker 3: to remove the tumor within two weeks, and that was
- 1:45:21Speaker 3: a success. But then the tissue analysis came back cancer
- 1:45:28Speaker 3: glio blastoma to be specific, the nastiest one. My mom
- 1:45:34Speaker 3: joked that for someone that never really got sick at all,
- 1:45:37Speaker 3: my dad really picked a good one, true empty siko
- 1:45:41Speaker 3: right there with the sense of humor.
- 1:45:43Speaker 2: So yeah, here we are.
- 1:45:45Speaker 3: My dad start chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatments last week and
- 1:45:48Speaker 3: he's in for a long fight. I'm here celebrating my
- 1:45:52Speaker 3: first Father's Day. Well, I don't know if there was
- 1:45:54Speaker 3: also the last one I can celebrate with my dad.
- 1:45:58Speaker 3: I'm glad my parents were able to visit before all
- 1:46:00Speaker 3: of this happened. I will share those memories forever, as
- 1:46:04Speaker 3: I'm sure they will. I was able to surprise my
- 1:46:07Speaker 3: dad on Father's Day by telling him we'd be traveling
- 1:46:10Speaker 3: back home with the kid in August, a lot sooner
- 1:46:13Speaker 3: than expected, which means my siblings, my grandma, and my
- 1:46:16Speaker 3: friends will all be able to meet Sebastian and I
- 1:46:21Speaker 3: get to meet my little niece as well. I know
- 1:46:24Speaker 3: everyone is looking forward to our family vacation, and if
- 1:46:28Speaker 3: you really think about it, my dad was able to
- 1:46:30Speaker 3: leave for retirement a month early.
- 1:46:32Speaker 2: Good silver linings, Silver linings. Overall, all of this seems unfair.
- 1:46:38Speaker 3: The old man just became a grandpa for the first
- 1:46:42Speaker 3: time and was on the verge of a retirement only
- 1:46:44Speaker 3: to be hit by this cancer bs. But we're only
- 1:46:48Speaker 3: looking forward now. We'll fight this together and we'll come
- 1:46:52Speaker 3: out and we will come out of it stronger. I
- 1:46:56Speaker 3: just wanted to thank you guys for starting this pod,
- 1:46:59Speaker 3: for providing a community to dads out there, and for
- 1:47:03Speaker 3: the distractions these last couple of weeks. Remember to take
- 1:47:07Speaker 3: out the trash, to hug your dads, and to tell
- 1:47:10Speaker 3: people close to you that you love them before it's
- 1:47:13Speaker 3: too late. It matters. Cheers Alexi and him being from Belgium,
- 1:47:21Speaker 3: I believe that's vacaz, not whakaz. So I apologize for that, Alexi.
- 1:47:29Speaker 3: But yeah, what are some of the thoughts going through
- 1:47:31Speaker 3: your head?
- 1:47:32Speaker 2: Will?
- 1:47:34Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm sure it's just a wave, a wave of
- 1:47:39Speaker 1: like various emotions, right, sadness, anger, questioning God, questioning why,
- 1:47:46Speaker 1: feeling like you're running out of time and it's bullshit
- 1:47:50Speaker 1: that your kids are only going to get to meet
- 1:47:53Speaker 1: him once twice a handful of times, not knowing how
- 1:47:59Speaker 1: you know how quick or how long this fight could be. Yeah,
- 1:48:06Speaker 1: I guess if I had any advice for just being
- 1:48:09Speaker 1: in this moment would be what can you do right now?
- 1:48:15Speaker 1: It sounds like there's a trip on the books that
- 1:48:17Speaker 1: people will be at comes great.
- 1:48:19Speaker 2: Yeah, people don't get that.
- 1:48:22Speaker 3: A lot of people don't get people don't you know,
- 1:48:24Speaker 3: there's there's a lot of people out there that don't
- 1:48:25Speaker 3: get to see their grandparents whatsoever. Yeah, if Grandpa is
- 1:48:31Speaker 3: able to have conversation, dude, start journaling. Yes, like get
- 1:48:36Speaker 3: with them on the phone when you're there, ask him
- 1:48:40Speaker 3: things about his past, what he loved about raising you,
- 1:48:44Speaker 3: what you hope advice that grandpa would give him to
- 1:48:49Speaker 3: give his kids, Yeah, dude, the journal thing, Yeah, really
- 1:48:54Speaker 3: good advice. I often think about my grandfather Chatshaw that
- 1:48:58Speaker 3: had Parkinson's, who was all still there you just couldn't talk.
- 1:49:03Speaker 3: I wish so badly that we had allowed, you know,
- 1:49:07Speaker 3: to write down his thoughts, to write down stories.
- 1:49:10Speaker 2: And I'm sure that was hard for.
- 1:49:12Speaker 3: My mom sitting there and thinking, my kids aren't really
- 1:49:16Speaker 3: getting to meet the granddad I know, but also counting
- 1:49:20Speaker 3: your blessings of they're getting to meet granddad.
- 1:49:23Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I know it's tough. I'm not Yeah, no,
- 1:49:28Speaker 2: of course, I know it's very hard, of course. Yeah,
- 1:49:31Speaker 2: but also how lucky are you? Yes? Take advantage?
- 1:49:36Speaker 1: Yeah, and take advantage, like try to do your best
- 1:49:39Speaker 1: to compartmentalize the noise and figure out what can you
- 1:49:43Speaker 1: do and create and stuff.
- 1:49:45Speaker 2: Now, I'm in full agreement with that.
- 1:49:47Speaker 3: I think that everyone benefits from that, the memory of
- 1:49:52Speaker 3: your father, you and your grandkids, even your wife, dude,
- 1:49:56Speaker 3: Like everybody benefits from that. And yeah, also, congratulations on
- 1:50:02Speaker 3: your first Father's Day and your brother's first Father's Day.
- 1:50:06Speaker 2: So much to celebrate.
- 1:50:07Speaker 3: Dude, y'all get together and have a really fun time
- 1:50:11Speaker 3: in August. Gonna be a blast. Oh, I have an
- 1:50:16Speaker 3: email here from let me see, Derek Stewart, Will and Shurham.
- 1:50:25Speaker 3: I called into the show, but it ended before I
- 1:50:27Speaker 3: could get my whole story out.
- 1:50:29Speaker 2: Oh, we hit the he went up against the clock,
- 1:50:32Speaker 2: He went up against the clock.
- 1:50:34Speaker 1: I wanted to make sure you guys got it, because
- 1:50:36Speaker 1: I think you guys deserve the credit. When I called,
- 1:50:39Speaker 1: I was talking about how I'm a high school teacher
- 1:50:41Speaker 1: trying to make a little extra money over the summer.
- 1:50:43Speaker 1: I picked up a job where I'm sitting in a
- 1:50:45Speaker 1: cubicle all day staring at a computer screen and not
- 1:50:48Speaker 1: talking to anybody. Since I was bored at my desk
- 1:50:51Speaker 1: as I decided to find a podcast. All right you
- 1:50:53Speaker 1: guys before but never really had the time to listen consistently,
- 1:50:56Speaker 1: so I figured this was the perfect opportunity. Well, scoring
- 1:50:59Speaker 1: through the episodes, I came across the one where you
- 1:51:02Speaker 1: were talking about health scares, and Will shared the story
- 1:51:05Speaker 1: about his daughter having a seizure and finding about it
- 1:51:07Speaker 1: over the phone.
- 1:51:08Speaker 2: And finding out about it over the phone.
- 1:51:10Speaker 1: Ever since becoming a dad, I've dealt with a level
- 1:51:13Speaker 1: of health anxiety that I never had before. My daughter
- 1:51:17Speaker 1: once had a serious breathing issue and had to be
- 1:51:19Speaker 1: taken to the hospital by ambulance. It was one of
- 1:51:22Speaker 1: the scariest moments of my life hearing that and hearing
- 1:51:24Speaker 1: that story, I felt a sense of relief because it
- 1:51:27Speaker 1: was one of the first times I'd heard someone describe
- 1:51:31Speaker 1: that same fear and helplessness that comes with not knowing
- 1:51:34Speaker 1: what's going.
- 1:51:34Speaker 2: To happen to your child.
- 1:51:37Speaker 1: I got pretty emotional listening listening to it, and actually
- 1:51:39Speaker 1: started tearing up at my desk.
- 1:51:41Speaker 2: Here's where it gets funny.
- 1:51:43Speaker 1: At the exact moment I had tears in my eyes,
- 1:51:45Speaker 1: my boss walked by and asked, Hey, is everything okay?
- 1:51:48Speaker 2: You good?
- 1:51:49Speaker 1: Of course I told him, yeah, yeah, I'm good, because
- 1:51:53Speaker 1: I don't I don't really.
- 1:51:54Speaker 3: Want to explain that a podcast had me emotional in
- 1:51:57Speaker 3: the middle of a work day.
- 1:51:58Speaker 2: Hashtag good.
- 1:52:00Speaker 1: The funny part is this is only my second week
- 1:52:03Speaker 1: on the job, and ever since then, my boss has
- 1:52:06Speaker 1: become incredibly helpful.
- 1:52:08Speaker 10: I think he assumes I'm struggling and need some mess.
- 1:52:14Speaker 10: I think he assumes I'm struggling and needs some extra support,
- 1:52:17Speaker 10: so he's eased up on my workload.
- 1:52:19Speaker 2: Kind of good.
- 1:52:23Speaker 3: So now I'm in a pretty pretty great win win situation.
- 1:52:26Speaker 3: Your podcast helped me feel understood, and somehow it also
- 1:52:29Speaker 3: got me a lighter workload.
- 1:52:33Speaker 1: I just wanted to share that story and let you
- 1:52:34Speaker 1: know how much I appreciate what you guys are doing.
- 1:52:36Speaker 3: You don't have to do this podcast, but I know
- 1:52:38Speaker 3: you're bringing a lot of relief, encouragement, and.
- 1:52:40Speaker 2: Joy to dad's everywhere. Appreciate you boys. Cheers, Derek, thank
- 1:52:45Speaker 2: you for writing in that is all. What a great email.
- 1:52:48Speaker 2: That was a fabulous email. You're doing it, man, you do.
- 1:52:52Speaker 2: You're doing all right. First couple of weeks they're like, fuck,
- 1:52:56Speaker 2: fuck it good? Yeah, really good. Actually, just take a
- 1:52:59Speaker 2: little bit off your plate. Man.
- 1:53:00Speaker 3: You know, Derek does a great job around here. Everybody
- 1:53:03Speaker 3: really loves him. But uh, some crying his cubicle the
- 1:53:07Speaker 3: other day. Yeah, maybe we're putting too much on his plate.
- 1:53:10Speaker 2: Do you think he's yeah, overore, somebody's like, hey, I
- 1:53:13Speaker 2: think something's off of Derek. No, man, you don't know
- 1:53:15Speaker 2: what he's going through. He works, he shows up buses
- 1:53:20Speaker 2: ass here, whatever baggage he's got going on outside of here.
- 1:53:24Speaker 2: I think he wears it at work because I saw
- 1:53:25Speaker 2: him struggling the other day at the cubicle. So keep
- 1:53:27Speaker 2: your mouth shut about there. Yeah, yeah, why don't you
- 1:53:30Speaker 2: cut on a little extra time, Maybe spend some time
- 1:53:32Speaker 2: with him, get to know.
- 1:53:33Speaker 3: Him, Maybe you would understand where he's coming. Yeah, get
- 1:53:36Speaker 3: to know what's behind the tiers. He's always on these podcasts.
- 1:53:39Speaker 2: No he ain't. He's either working or crying.
- 1:53:43Speaker 3: I see, Derek, Yeah, Derek, you you really kind of
- 1:53:46Speaker 3: fell into a nice little situation there.
- 1:53:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:53:49Speaker 1: When he said you guys deserve all the crowdit, I'm thinking, okay,
- 1:53:52Speaker 1: let's hear let's hear what he's gonna say.
- 1:53:53Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, that we don't feel deserving him that one.
- 1:53:56Speaker 3: It's like, okay, yeah, yeah, we'll take that crit We'll
- 1:53:57Speaker 3: take that one. Yeah, that was us. We'll take credit
- 1:54:00Speaker 3: for the lighter workload. Yeah, we had some very kind
- 1:54:03Speaker 3: words from the EA guys that we're here.
- 1:54:07Speaker 2: Did that one Yang guy talk to you with the
- 1:54:09Speaker 2: whole miss yo? Yeah? Dude, so nice.
- 1:54:13Speaker 1: A couple of them came up and was talking about
- 1:54:14Speaker 1: before the dad spot. I was like, dang, dude, people
- 1:54:17Speaker 1: running in from Belgium. That's also crazy. A dad that's
- 1:54:21Speaker 1: not even a dad yet, not coming until February twenty seven,
- 1:54:26Speaker 1: twenty seven out in la Oscar trying to get in
- 1:54:28Speaker 1: dad communities.
- 1:54:29Speaker 2: Oscar, Come on, man and g Unit Saggy teams. Yeah, yes,
- 1:54:37Speaker 2: I love that.
- 1:54:38Speaker 3: That grandma called in. That was actually really cool to hear.
- 1:54:43Speaker 3: You could hear how proud she was.
- 1:54:45Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure. She had two sons that in their.
- 1:54:48Speaker 3: Twenty seven kids on the pod and are like excited.
- 1:54:52Speaker 2: Let me see what my boys are listening to. I
- 1:54:54Speaker 2: hope that.
- 1:54:55Speaker 3: I hope that that Fat Stafford in that one shell
- 1:54:58Speaker 3: for nice boys.
- 1:55:00Speaker 2: Show your mom the Show. Yeah, yeah, I love the ship.
- 1:55:03Speaker 2: My mom listened to it on the way down. Show
- 1:55:05Speaker 2: your Mom's the show, You show your moms, Show your
- 1:55:07Speaker 2: parents the show, Spread the Good News. This was a
- 1:55:11Speaker 2: great sod. This was a very fun. So. I know.
- 1:55:16Speaker 3: This is probably really inaccurate, but it feels like it's
- 1:55:18Speaker 3: been a long time since we've recorded.
- 1:55:20Speaker 2: For some reason, uh, just in my head along you're
- 1:55:25Speaker 2: saying this has been a long sode.
- 1:55:26Speaker 3: No, like it feels like it's been a minute since
- 1:55:29Speaker 3: we've sat down and talked for some minute, and I
- 1:55:32Speaker 3: know that we've just been going a million miles an hour.
- 1:55:35Speaker 3: Yeah at all times, man, Yeah, this was the huge
- 1:55:41Speaker 3: teams you guys building commercials. True, like all the interviews
- 1:55:45Speaker 3: tight end you coming to town, cramming in a bunch
- 1:55:47Speaker 3: of interviews, traveling.
- 1:55:49Speaker 1: Yeah, a lot happens, bro and it flies. Yes, but
- 1:55:54Speaker 1: it's been a fun sit down. It's been a fun combo.
- 1:55:56Speaker 2: This has been good. I'm gonna miss you guys over
- 1:55:58Speaker 2: the next couple of weeks, two weeks.
- 1:55:59Speaker 1: I'm gonna enjoined the vacation obviously, but I'm gonna miss
- 1:56:02Speaker 1: you boys.
- 1:56:04Speaker 2: I am too. Keep it together here.
- 1:56:06Speaker 5: It's just Chef and I for a little while, like
- 1:56:09Speaker 5: us against busting at this point, we're gonna miss you guys.
- 1:56:12Speaker 2: Sure. How long are you going for the second to
- 1:56:14Speaker 2: the ninth Too long? Yeahs.
- 1:56:18Speaker 3: And there are several guys going on some vacations, right,
- 1:56:21Speaker 3: I ain't taking time.
- 1:56:23Speaker 5: Off, so I mean, I know we have a couple
- 1:56:24Speaker 5: of days and a couple of guys are moving around
- 1:56:26Speaker 5: a bit, which is good.
- 1:56:27Speaker 2: JP's going. I think Jack's going. This football season is
- 1:56:30Speaker 2: gonna be a bear, yo, It really will be. It's
- 1:56:36Speaker 2: gonna be it's gonna be awesome. But shit just goes fast, man. Yeah.
- 1:56:42Speaker 3: And a lot of a lot of conversations being had
- 1:56:44Speaker 3: here in the office just to like tease the tease
- 1:56:47Speaker 3: of future stuff, Like a lot of really fun community
- 1:56:51Speaker 3: content conversations are being had around for the dads in
- 1:56:56Speaker 3: preparation for football season and beyond. And very excited for
- 1:57:03Speaker 3: that too, Like that's gonna be a that's gonna be
- 1:57:05Speaker 3: a lot of fun.
- 1:57:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:57:07Speaker 3: Yeah, Hey, what'd you end up getting for Father's Day?
- 1:57:11Speaker 2: Just super quick? Did I? I'll talk about this last week?
- 1:57:18Speaker 2: Did we we? Oh we did a pre at for
- 1:57:22Speaker 2: Father's Day?
- 1:57:23Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, right, that's right. See, shit goes fast, it does, dude.
- 1:57:28Speaker 1: It was a plus. I made the comment on Busting
- 1:57:30Speaker 1: with the Boys. I was like, this could be a
- 1:57:32Speaker 1: clean take for your boy. I'm kind of liking Father's
- 1:57:34Speaker 1: Day more than I like my birthday. I could see,
- 1:57:38Speaker 1: because Father's Day is universal. Yeah, It's like I love attention,
- 1:57:42Speaker 1: but when all the attentions on you, it gets a
- 1:57:44Speaker 1: little uncomfy. Like I love all the birthday wishes and
- 1:57:48Speaker 1: everything else, but you're not saying You're just saying thanks.
- 1:57:50Speaker 1: In response to everybody. But on Father's Day, all the
- 1:57:52Speaker 1: boys that you're your dad's with and friends with, you're
- 1:57:55Speaker 1: both saying fathers that Happy Father's Day, back and forth
- 1:57:57Speaker 1: with each other. Yeah, kids are all about My wife's
- 1:58:00Speaker 1: all about it. I woke up, so I stayed up
- 1:58:04Speaker 1: watching I Will Find You till about twelve thirty one
- 1:58:08Speaker 1: in the morning the night before show or movie show
- 1:58:11Speaker 1: on Netflix. Awesome show, good show, Okay, good show. You
- 1:58:15Speaker 1: and Wifey. That's a that's one. That's a good couple
- 1:58:17Speaker 1: one to watch. It's a little thriller, suspense conspiracies.
- 1:58:24Speaker 2: It's good.
- 1:58:26Speaker 1: But I knew Charle was gonna let me sleep in
- 1:58:28Speaker 1: a little bit. So I woke up the next morning
- 1:58:30Speaker 1: around eight fifteen on my own come on with an
- 1:58:35Speaker 1: iced Americanos sitting on the night stand with a little
- 1:58:37Speaker 1: note for my wife wishing me happy Father's Day, saying
- 1:58:40Speaker 1: she got the kids out of the house.
- 1:58:42Speaker 2: There.
- 1:58:42Speaker 1: You know, She's like, go get a work out in,
- 1:58:43Speaker 1: do your thing. So then from about eight thirty to
- 1:58:47Speaker 1: ten ten thirty, I'm out in the garage, solo dolo,
- 1:58:50Speaker 1: just working out, getting a good sweat popatine fit. It
- 1:58:53Speaker 1: was unbelievable and then they come home. We get the
- 1:58:57Speaker 1: backpacks there. I mean they're already kind of ready to go, kids,
- 1:59:00Speaker 1: ready to go. We go and get breakfast burritos over
- 1:59:02Speaker 1: at Do Santos over in Wedgwood, Houston.
- 1:59:05Speaker 2: We love going to that spot outdoors there.
- 1:59:07Speaker 5: Do I go ask for breakfast Sico, DM, We asked
- 1:59:09Speaker 5: for breakfast spot. I said, go to Dosanta, Yes, bro.
- 1:59:12Speaker 1: Do Santos and if you got kiddos too, Like, it's
- 1:59:14Speaker 1: perfect for Scott' Zilla, because Scott'szilla. She just doesn't fucking
- 1:59:16Speaker 1: sit down. She doesn't stage, she doesn't sit the whole meal.
- 1:59:19Speaker 2: She doesn't.
- 1:59:19Speaker 1: You gotta let her run around. But do Santos. You
- 1:59:23Speaker 1: go up to this window, get the breakfast burritos. But
- 1:59:24Speaker 1: there's a big, you know, artistic hands that she can
- 1:59:28Speaker 1: go and see. It's just an open space where she
- 1:59:30Speaker 1: can just kind of run around eat her food. But
- 1:59:32Speaker 1: we went and got breakfast burritos. Came home close to
- 1:59:36Speaker 1: nap time. I took Rude to see Toy Story five.
- 1:59:40Speaker 1: That's Charles stayed back with Scottie so she could do
- 1:59:42Speaker 1: naptime and get some free time.
- 1:59:44Speaker 2: That's kind of how I was setting it up.
- 1:59:45Speaker 1: I was like, I can go take Rude to Toy
- 1:59:47Speaker 1: Story five at one and you can have a couple
- 1:59:49Speaker 1: hours of free time yourself. I come back home, Charlo
- 1:59:52Speaker 1: didn't take any free time. She cleaned and organized my
- 1:59:55Speaker 1: closet and that was honestly my favorite gift.
- 2:00:00Speaker 2: But yeah, she.
- 2:00:02Speaker 1: Organized cleaned my closet to where I can just walk
- 2:00:04Speaker 1: in and it's just like nothing's on the floor. Like
- 2:00:06Speaker 1: obviously stuff will probably gather on the floor a little bit,
- 2:00:08Speaker 1: but as far as like getting like you know, notebooks, papers,
- 2:00:12Speaker 1: boxes that held stuff like situated.
- 2:00:15Speaker 2: And organized where it's just like a clean space. She
- 2:00:18Speaker 2: did that. Then we picked up Answer.
- 2:00:20Speaker 1: She had an Answer already picked up Answer ribs, Answer rips.
- 2:00:23Speaker 1: They had an awesome like a prime rib. Yeah, they
- 2:00:27Speaker 1: had prime rib, mashed potatoes, cream, spinach, soured nough bread.
- 2:00:31Speaker 2: We uh. When I got home, we Rue and I
- 2:00:34Speaker 2: swam in the pool.
- 2:00:36Speaker 1: Scotti was messing around with mom Sarun and I had
- 2:00:39Speaker 1: pool time. Charle got all the food ready from Answer
- 2:00:42Speaker 1: and set it up. We ate, We ate outside and
- 2:00:44Speaker 1: it was an a plus father's day.
- 2:00:47Speaker 3: What a queen, dude. Yeah, man, that is a great
- 2:00:51Speaker 3: father's Day. My first Father's Day really really good. Got
- 2:00:57Speaker 3: to sleep in similarly like I'm at eight o'clock mark,
- 2:01:01Speaker 3: and then Jill was playing music like pretty loud from
- 2:01:05Speaker 3: the kitchen, but like really sweet songs like you know
- 2:01:08Speaker 3: I wish, Yeah.
- 2:01:11Speaker 2: They did now is that?
- 2:01:14Speaker 3: Oh?
- 2:01:15Speaker 2: Yeah, the same. I woke up at eleven thirty.
- 2:01:19Speaker 3: That dude, if that had happened again, I would have
- 2:01:21Speaker 3: been very sad. I actually would have been like somewhat
- 2:01:25Speaker 3: matt Uh sleeping music playing music playing, went into the
- 2:01:29Speaker 3: kitchen and she was standing there with uh Scarlett and
- 2:01:33Speaker 3: they have the little card and the picture frame that
- 2:01:35Speaker 3: Deke took that picture of it was like sure one
- 2:01:39Speaker 3: best at ever, congratulations.
- 2:01:43Speaker 2: And I didn't want to do this, but thank you. Uh.
- 2:01:46Speaker 3: And then they got me this watch which I freaking
- 2:01:49Speaker 3: love it. And I had like a little engraving on
- 2:01:52Speaker 3: the inside of it, which could be the lesson of
- 2:01:55Speaker 3: the week. I had a lesson of the week. But uh,
- 2:01:58Speaker 3: life is not measured in but in moments. I love
- 2:02:03Speaker 3: that to my dad from Scarlett on his first fallow.
- 2:02:07Speaker 2: That's big time she has you. She gotbed had some
- 2:02:10Speaker 2: side hustles to get.
- 2:02:11Speaker 3: That, Yeah, I said, I said, Jill, I see what
- 2:02:14Speaker 3: you mean about how I could maybe do a better
- 2:02:17Speaker 3: job on the Mother's Day stuff.
- 2:02:18Speaker 2: Like yes, she said, exit she set the bar.
- 2:02:21Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like, here's how you do it, I said,
- 2:02:24Speaker 3: started eating my pancakes and bacon and going.
- 2:02:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I could have done a better job on the
- 2:02:30Speaker 2: Mother's Day.
- 2:02:31Speaker 5: I didn't come over here and I go will Did
- 2:02:33Speaker 5: you see Sherman's major award? He won Best at Ever?
- 2:02:36Speaker 5: And will without miss b who voted? Because I didn't
- 2:02:42Speaker 5: get the I didn't get the vote. Are they going
- 2:02:45Speaker 5: to do a recount.
- 2:02:46Speaker 2: Or won an award? Best dat Ever? Who voted? Yeah?
- 2:02:51Speaker 2: Who voted? Well? Where did that come from?
- 2:02:53Speaker 3: Was it like an option where it's like Willie and
- 2:02:55Speaker 3: Sherman because we do a dad podcast together.
- 2:02:59Speaker 2: They didn't do.
- 2:03:00Speaker 1: That, but yeah, you learn how to do Father's Day,
- 2:03:04Speaker 1: Mother's Day? Oh yeah, I wish I had Mother's Day back.
- 2:03:06Speaker 1: That's when we were coming back from that wedding, and
- 2:03:08Speaker 1: so I had to kind of cram it in like
- 2:03:10Speaker 1: I did solid and putting it all together.
- 2:03:12Speaker 2: But just a full day of celebration. Yeah, full day
- 2:03:15Speaker 2: of like you're gonna do you? I got you, And
- 2:03:19Speaker 2: I know what.
- 2:03:19Speaker 3: You mean about Like I weirdly kind of feel that
- 2:03:22Speaker 3: way about Father's Day too, now now that I've experienced it.
- 2:03:27Speaker 3: We had a funny little like text thread at the
- 2:03:32Speaker 3: very end of Father's Day.
- 2:03:33Speaker 2: We were just texting each other, going, they look at us, man, Yeah,
- 2:03:37Speaker 2: that's what I'm saying.
- 2:03:38Speaker 1: Then you get to engage with all the yeah guys,
- 2:03:41Speaker 1: you think highly of guys who've been father figures in
- 2:03:43Speaker 1: your life, my dad. You just get to shoot out
- 2:03:46Speaker 1: messages saying Happy Father's Yeah.
- 2:03:48Speaker 3: I have like work acquaintances type people reaching out and

- 2:04:01Speaker 2: Oh no, yeah.
- 2:04:04Speaker 3: It wouldn't be an episode of four the Dads if
- 2:04:06Speaker 3: we didn't bring up Nick Hallett.
- 2:04:09Speaker 2: I thought he said Happy Father's Day, Willie because Nick

- 2:04:59Speaker 1: his text and goes just kidding.
- 2:05:03Speaker 2: I laughed and I was like, man, I'm so sorry.
- 2:05:05Speaker 1: I was literally singing your praises yesterday too, and I
- 2:05:08Speaker 1: forgot to text back like one of those ones where
- 2:05:10Speaker 1: he text and it just takes your mind.
