- 0:00Hey guys, before we get into today's episode, just to note, we
- 0:03understand there's like a background clicking sound. Sorry about that. We are trying
- 0:07to isolate it and figure it out. But we are just a couple of
- 0:11dumb women who don't know anything about audio, visual, electronic anything, and
- 0:16it just started recently. We don't know what the fuck. We don't know
- 0:19what. We are trying to fix it, so please bear with us.
- 0:23Sorry for any convenience. I know some of you out there are real audio
- 0:26files like us, so we're gonna fix it. But like, we just
- 0:30wanted to apologize because it's evident in this one and when we started it wasn't.
- 0:34I know, we don't understand our high vibration. I think we're so
- 0:38high vibe check. We're just so great. I'm so sorry about that.
- 0:42But we know about it and we are trying to fix it. So thank
- 0:45you guys for being understanding you. Welcome to reality TV. I am one
- 1:00of your hosts, Delia here with my real tight Homegirl and also my daughter
- 1:06in law Beatrice me every mind. How are you doing today? No,
- 1:11I'm here, girl. We are here to discuss the current state of affairs
- 1:15for sister Wives Season eighteen, honey, and they just dropped another boring,
- 1:21ass ridiculous episode. And at this point I've gone limp. I mean,
- 1:27I've watched it twice and I'm zoning out each and every time I'm watching it.
- 1:30It's like it's the same footage we've been seeing for like three weeks now.
- 1:34As soon as I saw Mary and the carriage House, I'm like,
- 1:38how tea minus how many minutes until she mentions her anniversary dinner and the conversation
- 1:44and her eternal bond. We've already talked about this. It apparently not these
- 1:51producers. I'm like, I can't get over it. I know I talk
- 1:55about it every week, but I am just gobsmacked yet that they are doing
- 1:57this episode after episode after episode. Do we need to start a raccoon writing
- 2:04campaign? Do we need to protest in the streets something? You know they
- 2:07live? I think the producer, like the main producer for Sister Wives,
- 2:10lives very close to Cody Brown, like in the same Flagstop subdivision. I
- 2:16read that somewhere on Reddit, So take it with a great assault. But
- 2:20interesting. I wonder if he's friends with Cody Brown, you might be maybe
- 2:23that's why they were doing him a service for so many years with some of
- 2:27these edits, but now this year, Yeah, they're finally getting the edit
- 2:30they deserved. Robin. Yes, yes, well we watched it. We
- 2:35are going to go over it. But before we do that, we have
- 2:38to give you the disclaimers. Babies, please hide your wife Hodge kids.
- 2:42Yeah, this is a politically incorrect podcast. We often say things that are
- 2:46offensive. We're definitely, I think, objectively stupid. Yeah, and so
- 2:50you can't rely on us for ethics, morals, values or anything else.
- 2:53Just beauty. Yeah, that's all you can rely on us, truly.
- 2:55It's beauty. Yeah, it's your better get out of this dumpster. You
- 3:04are gonna be uncomfy in the dumpster for real. Also, we go on
- 3:07Instagram, go follow us there at Reality TV Cringe. We also have a
- 3:12Patreon patre dot com slash Reality TV Crunge where we got a bunch of bonus
- 3:15shit up on there. We're covering other shows that we don't cover on the
- 3:19normal pod. That's right, like Love After Lock Up, John and eight
- 3:22plus Kate, Yes, Trash Buyer Sisters, Galore, oh my god,
- 3:25so many things. And if you are watching on YouTube, please don't forget
- 3:30it is so important for you to like, comment, share, and subscribe,
- 3:34do all the little social things that you can. Every little thing you
- 3:38do is magic. Yeah, when you interact with the raccoons. And so
- 3:39we thank you. In Edby's advance, all right, before we get into
- 3:45the episode, we do have some hot goss, some mild hot goss.
- 3:51But I mean, if it is true, it is very hot glass.
- 3:53And so even though it might not be true, I still feel we need
- 3:58to present it to the raccoons. Yeah, you guys can decide for yourselves,
- 4:00Y's true or not. So last week there was a post by user
- 4:05Lauren Leliko and the title of this post was Mary's new bow question mark.
- 4:15And then she posted a picture and I'm going to put it right here for
- 4:17all you raccoons who were watching. She posted a picture and she texted found
- 4:23this on Facebook. Apparently they were also holding hands, although she doesn't look
- 4:29that into him in my opinion. Oh m G. And so for the
- 4:33listeners of this podcast, what we are showing is a picture of Mary Brown
- 4:40out to lunch and or dinner with some unknown Caucasian man looking like farmers only
- 4:47up in here and we're wondering if maybe she's seeing somebody. I mean,
- 4:54all I hope for is that he writes a Harley I know, just because
- 4:58you want to be in accurate fakes you want to I just want her to
- 5:02be happy. Me too. And he seems like a normal guy who doesn't
- 5:08like perm his hair and wear a head band every day and a fucking stallion
- 5:13ring and a fake or cheap rolex off whatever sports car it's two thousand and
- 5:18two white lexes. Because he's so attached to his appearance, which is ridiculous,
- 5:25so ridiculous. It's like a normal person. Yeah, he does.
- 5:28And I love that for Mary. Could it just be a friend, though
- 5:30you think, yes, why would you be holding his hands? Though that's
- 5:33true, why would you be holding I don't know. You gotta just told
- 5:38dance with guys that you like that your sweet dog be a Mary worthy of
- 5:44pa. Get yourself an adventurous sexual avenger. Let's yourself go, get your
- 5:48box eight. Look for a new eternal bond. Is somebody who's sexy and
- 5:54he wants to be with you? That's very important. Yes, So let
- 5:58us know what you think. Do you think Mary Hanley a new man that
- 6:00would be so wonderful. I mean, I want that for her so bad.
- 6:03And Janelle, yes, yes, please, All right, let's get
- 6:08into this episode. So he's in eighteen, episode thirteen of Silster Wives entitled
- 6:12the Elephant in the Room. What does that pertain to? Maybe the financial
- 6:18stuff with Janelle? Okay? Maybe I was like, are you calling me
- 6:23fat? DLC? I forget other people fat on the show, Like you
- 6:26know, now, before we actually do the rundown of what happened, what
- 6:30are some of your major takeaways just overall from this episode? There's got to
- 6:33be at least one. Look, I don't care. I don't give a
- 6:36shit about Mchelt's Yeah twins, I don't care. They're already born. They're
- 6:42like two years old right now, walking around probably driving, Yeah, going
- 6:47to high school. I really don't care about their gender. Reveal about you
- 6:51being pregnant, your announcement to pregnancy. I'll give the fuck. If we
- 6:55have to see her birth next season, I'm gonna lose it. We're gonna
- 7:00have to see it. I don't want to see, you know. Robin
- 7:02goes to the birth of the twins, she's actually there. She ultimately takes
- 7:05the picture with the two twins sitting there like a mom. Right, she
- 7:09kind of looks like the mother in the picture, and Christine is there,
- 7:12and so that's probably a somewhat tense or dramaicious moment. I think we're going
- 7:16to see the birth of McKelty next year. I just need McKelty to get
- 7:20off of my television. I'm not trying to be mean. She seems like
- 7:24a sweet person, not very bright, not very bright, but she seems
- 7:28like she's actually no, she doesn't know. I feel like she's actually a
- 7:31mean person. And you posted something on her Instagram did recently was like a
- 7:35montage of the ways in which Christine has been hurt by Cody. Yeah,
- 7:41and then the ways that McKelty has hurt Christine in much the same way.
- 7:46And I was like, ooh, yeah, I felt that. I know
- 7:48I felt it too. And it's pretty obvious when you look at it,
- 7:50because this was in the context of what last week's episode of the Week Before,
- 7:55where McKelty spilled that she already told Cody and Robin that she was pregnant
- 8:00before she even told her mom, and Christine didn't know that, like Christine
- 8:03already knew she was pregnant at this point in time, but didn't know that
- 8:07she was second to know even though it's mckelti's own freaking mother and Christine's just
- 8:13been hurt by Cody all the time. And then mckelt somebody commented, I
- 8:16can't remember if it was on YouTube or Instagram, and they called her me
- 8:20kelty because it's always about me. That is perfect. Yes, Chef's kissy.
- 8:24She's like a narcissist totally. I had two main takeaways. My first
- 8:28was also mckelti and like how she just needs to position herself at all times
- 8:35as a main character, and also how she seems very invested in this idea
- 8:39of being a bridge and bringing the family together except for Mary, Except for
- 8:46Mary and read it is really kind of going crazy about because McKelty talks a
- 8:50big game, like, Mom, we should ask Robin and Dad and the
- 8:54family over for your last night before you leave flag Staff, Like McKelty is
- 8:58orchestra reading this zoom where everyone's hopping on because she believes that as a family
- 9:05they can come back together. But then she doesn't include one of her mothers.
- 9:09Yeah, because she'll never include her. That's what Christine said in this
- 9:11episode and I'm like, Okay, so they've obviously talked about it. Yikes,
- 9:16and Leon wasn't there either, And I'm wondering, is Leon not there
- 9:20because Leon is showing loyalty to their mother? I would kind of hope,
- 9:28So yeah, I would like, you're not going to invite my mom helped
- 9:33to raise you good, bad, or indifferent, So I'm just not going
- 9:35to show up. Well, I'm like, why is Michelty so against Mary?
- 9:41Again? Was it because of alleged abuse? H was it other stuff?
- 9:45It's alleged abuse, but honestly, it was Gwendolynn who alleged a physical
- 9:50component to the abuse. All mckelti ever said was she never remembered anything physical,
- 9:54but that Mary was definitely verbally and verbally abusive, And I think Peyden
- 10:01also said she was super abrasive and very hard to live with. So,
- 10:05I mean, Mary sounded like she was a hard ass and very strict and
- 10:09it was hard to live with her. But at the same time, when
- 10:13you look at what your own dad is doing in your family, and how
- 10:16your dad is verbally abusing his wives and how Robin is complicit, like she's
- 10:22a is it a compensating narcissist. She's some enabling narcissist, Like you see
- 10:28this right in front of you, like the rest of us do, and
- 10:30you're okay to have them in your life and even show them preferential treatment,
- 10:35but you won't give Mary a chance, right, And I mean in this
- 10:37context, with this whole zoom call, I'm like, she wouldn't even have
- 10:41to really say anything to you. It's just a pregnancy announcement or a gender
- 10:45reveal announcement. So it's like she's just one little square in the corner and
- 10:48you could have set a boundary and been like, look, I don't want
- 10:52you to say anything to me or anything, but I want you to be
- 10:54included with the rest of the family. But no, she couldn't even do
- 10:56that. No, it's just a drama thing. It's like she's the brig's
- 11:00power thing too. It's like, how can we estrange Mary even further?
- 11:03And it's getting really cruel to me. It's like every episode we see Mary
- 11:09pitifully out in peril in her dumb carriage house alone with her friends who are
- 11:13just like, Okay, they're a little weird, but this is the friend
- 11:16group that she has because she doesn't have any family, Janelle doesn't check in
- 11:22with her. We learn in this episode Janelle hasn't talked to her for a
- 11:24year. Christine doesn't give af nope about Mary, and I just feel bad
- 11:28for her me too. She's so isolated from everyone in the family. I
- 11:33just can't stand mchelt just needing to be the center of everything. So other
- 11:37main takeaway that I had was that I was watching the decomposition or the deconstruction
- 11:46of my appreciation for Janelle, because another thing that's popping off on Reddit right
- 11:50now is the timeline of when Janelle and how Janelle met Cody. Oh really
- 11:58yes, And I was also watched My Girl Red Lipstick reality TV. By
- 12:01the way, I mention her almost every week. If you don't follow her,
- 12:05you really need to. She gives very thoughtful sort of feedback intakes,
- 12:09which I really appreciate. But you know what she said in her recap of
- 12:13this episode, she called Cody a cheater from day one, and then she
- 12:18brought in what they're talking about on Reddit, which is that Janelle actually met
- 12:24Cody when Mary was introducing Cody to Janelle as her boyfriend. At that time,
- 12:30Janelle was married to Mary's brother. Oh Wow. So she was actually
- 12:35married when she met Cody, and so in this episode we kind of hear
- 12:39their origin story. We hear how they flirted, how he found himself often
- 12:43talking to her, how she said when she first met him, which is
- 12:48when she was married to Mary's brother. Yeah, she had a witnessing sort
- 12:52of feeling like, yes, this is somebody that I feel like I know
- 12:56and I want to be a part of their family. But she doesn't mention
- 13:00in this episode that she was actually married to Mary's brother at the time.
- 13:03And so Mary gets a lot of shit Beatrice for being a bitch. And
- 13:07in their book, which by the way, I just purchased and I'm about
- 13:11to read and I've never read it and I'm so excited. But in this
- 13:13book, Mary is kind of villified because she gave Janelle a really hard time.
- 13:18But like, maybe there's a reason that Janelle was given a hard time
- 13:22but by Mary, because she dumps Mary's brother, then flirts with Cody,
- 13:28invites herself into the marriage, and then moves into some whacked out trailer with
- 13:33the two of them with paper thin walls and starts fucking Cody's brains up.
- 13:37That's like what I think actually happened, and Janelle's sitting on the couch like,
- 13:41yes, my spiritual witnessing testimony was that this man was my eternal lover.
- 13:48I'm like, oh girl, oh, you were twenty years old.
- 13:50You wanted to get you box it. Yeah, and you poached another woman's
- 13:56man. Oh my god, that's why Mary don't like you with Mary too.
- 14:00So it's a friend coming in and be like, can I steal your
- 14:01husband sister in law? She was her sister and sister in law slash friend.
- 14:05Oh my god, I didn't know all about Yes, it's all on
- 14:09redded and you know, their forensic investigators are just like us. But when
- 14:15you couple that with the other things that we've seen this season, for example,
- 14:18just how her children are so emotionally traumatized, particularly Gabe and Garrison,
- 14:26how they've been left out in the cold, and how she's known for a
- 14:30really long time that Cody has been a neglectful husband. Yeah, but as
- 14:33long as it was okay with her because it facilitated her independence and because she
- 14:39didn't need him around, it was okay that Cody neglected her children. It
- 14:45was only when they had the fight. It was only in the last year
- 14:50or so that it started to inconvenience her, and she's like, yeah,
- 14:54this is not acceptable anymore. Why wasn't it not acceptable when he was neglecting
- 14:58your family? Ki, Right, it just wasn't acceptable unless it bothered her,
- 15:03I guess. And I mean even that, like when they were in
- 15:05the big Lehigh House, when she was working all the time, she would
- 15:09always talk about She's like, oh, it's so great to have sister wives
- 15:13because they can just like raise my kids for me. Right, So it's
- 15:15like, you have all these kids, but then you're working and you would
- 15:18rather not be at home. But granted she was bringing in money, she
- 15:20was friendly money. There wasn't a lot coming in, but that was important.
- 15:24But yeah, Christine's raising all your kids. Logan was parentified to the
- 15:28max and had to raise all of these kids too. So it's like,
- 15:31yeap, so is asmen. Yeah, Janelle's not perfect. None of these
- 15:35people are perfect. Well, I just I'm like, she's really not perfect
- 15:37though, And actually in this season I've come to like the I think the
- 15:41shine is off Christine again. I feel like she's so performative, especially in
- 15:46this episode when she's talking about Isabelle going back to North Carolina. She's like,
- 15:52yeah, I'm just sick comtown. Yeah, drama queen, Yes,
- 15:56it's too much anyway. Those are my main takeaways. I hate mckelte and
- 16:02Janelle, you're a shady bitch. And I see you with my rat,
- 16:06I see you all right. Getting into this episode, we start with mckelty's
- 16:11gender reveal on Zoom. She has invited a select few which does not include
- 16:18Mary and potentially Leon, to reveal the genders of her two twins. What
- 16:25do you think about this scene? Well, I thought it was interesting that
- 16:26codyum Robin could get together on a big old group Zoom call for this little
- 16:32gender reveal party, but they couldn't do that for the sibling gift exchange,
- 16:36and couldn't even get together for Christmas, not even over Zoom, can't even
- 16:40call his other kids, Like he hasn't even spoken to half of the people
- 16:44on this Zoom call, like Janelle says, And yet he's shown up on
- 16:47there just acting all happy, go lucky whatever. And he's like, it's
- 16:51fine because mickelty and Tony love and respect me and Robin, so it's tolerable,
- 16:56right, God, this is your family, dude. Yes, And
- 17:00I think it's very telling that he says that he had anxiety bordering on paranoia
- 17:06before he hopped on that zoom call. So he's super nervous, and he's
- 17:10only nervous because he knows he's wrong and he's done something wrong. And he's
- 17:14trying to frame it in this episode as talking about the contempt his kids have
- 17:19for him versus they're very understandable and justifiable reactions to the shit that you've done
- 17:26to them. Right. If there's contempt, there's also a reason for that,
- 17:30of course, and you could figure out that reason if you know,
- 17:33you talk to them and tried to work this out. I also thought it
- 17:36was telling how Robin in her talking head said, you know, I just
- 17:38want everybody to see our smiling faces, so that way they know that I'm
- 17:45not the bad guy, right, Like, oh, that's telling girls,
- 17:47as opposed to we're not bad ones. I just don't. I want it
- 17:51to look like we're happy, so that way everybody takes the heat off of
- 17:53me. Totally notice that, like, oh, girl, narcissistic statement.
- 17:57And then of course we have Aurora and Brianna on the couch and Aurora wants
- 18:02to take the time to let us all know, in as morose a tone
- 18:06as possible, I feel so sad for these depressive Brainwatch children. She wants
- 18:11us to know that Robin actually goes out of her way to encourage Cody to
- 18:15have healthy relationships, in communication with his children, whatever. People need to
- 18:19understand that. I'm like, Aurora, do you really believe this? I
- 18:23think she does. Does she not watch the show? She must not watch
- 18:26the show. A lot of the kids don't. It's like Gwendolyn doing her
- 18:30reaction. She's like, I've never watched the show, Like, how how
- 18:33have you not? I would be watching every episode, but I'm crazy.
- 18:36I would watch. Yes, I watch our YouTube videos. I watch Well
- 18:40you have to do to see if there's any problems and also to see if
- 18:42what people are saying think about the raccoons. But like, no, like,
- 18:47I feel like she absolutely doesn't see the real picture of what her mom
- 18:53is doing real time to destroy this family. It's so easy. You can
- 18:56just see it in her energy. Yeah, and Brianna's energy too. They
- 19:00are acting depressed. I don't know if Brianna's depressed. She really wants us
- 19:04to think she's sad, yeah, and that she's depressed but they're really depressed.
- 19:08They're really maudlin, and they're acting really sad. And my question is,
- 19:12well, if you're so sad because you don't see your siblings, why
- 19:15aren't you on the zoom call? Right? Don't you like Mchelti? Yeah,
- 19:19doesn't Chelti come over and bring her kids? And don't you love her?
- 19:22Why wouldn't you be there? Right? She probably already knew. Probably
- 19:26Robin and Cody probably already knew the gender too. Yeah, and they probably
- 19:30told everybody h came on the zoom call just for optics. Yep, narks,
- 19:36yep, huge narks, narsty narks, narsty narks. We have Janelle
- 19:40making the comment that she has absolutely no problem seeing Robin and Cody there because,
- 19:45after all, they're together. Yeah, they're married, they're monogamoists,
- 19:48they're a couple, and I don't have a problem. I hope someday we
- 19:52can all get together in person and do something like this. It will never
- 19:56happen. And then Christine's like, not right now though too soon. Yeah,
- 20:00I'm not in the mood to do that, but I'm okay to be
- 20:03cordial in this kind of a setting. Yeah, And I did appreciate that.
- 20:07I'm glad that she was, like at least on the call. Did
- 20:08you notice she was on the call with mickelse those, Yes, it's good.
- 20:11I'm just wondering though. Christine seems really activated still by her separation and
- 20:18divorce from Cody, but like Janelle seems over it. She's like, oh,
- 20:22yeah, I'm totally fine. They're married. I get it. I
- 20:25want to do my own thing. I actually don't care, and I believe
- 20:29her, you think. So, I was wondering this episode if she was
- 20:32like a little sad deep down about it, because there were some things that
- 20:36she was saying, like near the end with regards to the finances, which
- 20:40we'll get to at that point, but like it just kind of seemed to
- 20:42me like she was a little emotional but just kind of hiding it. You
- 20:45know how you Torreans can be. Yes, sometimes you guys compartmentalize everything.
- 20:48I'll never let you see me sweat, baby, right, So that's what
- 20:52I'm thinking, Like, I was just watching this episode thinking, like it's
- 20:55okay to be sad, you know, like it's okay to admit that it
- 20:57does bother you. I just don't think she feels sad at all. I
- 21:00think she's feeling like she's actually divorced. The only conflict she has is a
- 21:06spiritual one, like do I need to go to the governing Mormon body of
- 21:10whatever religion she feels that she's in to get some sort of an official divorce
- 21:15or is she okay to just walk away because legally she's not married to him.
- 21:19Yeah, that's her conflict. I don't really think it's Cody. I
- 21:22think she's done and over Cody. I mean, I guess I get that
- 21:26with the spiritual component. I was actually talking to Ethyl about this last week,
- 21:30that that's like a huge thing in the Mormon Church, Like if you're
- 21:32married in the Mormon Temple, in LDS faith or whatever, AUB what then
- 21:37you're married spiritually eternally and then you have to ask the priest and the priest
- 21:41can deny you reason for divorce, which I thought was really crazy. But
- 21:45she didn't know what happens with the AUB because I guess in the LDS church
- 21:49they don't really talk about what happens to you if you break an eternal covenant
- 21:53or if you get released. I think is what she said. Yeah,
- 21:56I think that's what you now called it yeah being released. If Janelle will
- 22:00ever go to the aub Temple, I mean if like Cody doesn't really believe
- 22:03it anymore than why, I don't know that she does. And when they're
- 22:06taking the road trip, she's like, I haven't been to church in forever.
- 22:10I don't know any of us adults that have been to a church,
- 22:12including I would imagine Cody and Robin, right, So I don't really know.
- 22:18Then we bop on over tip Heroluan Utah, because of course we have
- 22:22Mary's the BnB. She's working on her carriage out again, and I can't
- 22:26stand to talk about it, and so she walks in. The walls are
- 22:29being torn down, they're doing all of their construction work. Nobody, kidle.
- 22:37And here she uses this as a segue to talk about the conversation she
- 22:41previously had with Cody on their anniversary thirty second anniversary anniversary, we heard about
- 22:49it, in which he said he did not want to be a part of
- 22:52her life in any way. And so she reiterates for the umpteenth time that
- 22:57it is now up to her, The onus is on her to make a
- 23:00decision with what she wants to do with her life. And here again we
- 23:04are talking. I think about the spiritual implication because she continues to mention the
- 23:10eternal bond, which is the bond that they will have after death, and
- 23:15that they have a covenant. And then she says in her talking head,
- 23:18well, but maybe he's already broken that covenant. Yeah, And I'm like,
- 23:22there's no maybe he's broken the covenant. She has literally broken it in
- 23:27front of you, shattered it. He does not want you on his Mormon
- 23:32planet. He doesn't even care about what you're doing in your life, if
- 23:34you're alive or dead. He doesn't care whether you're alive or dead. It's
- 23:37sad, Mary. It is up to you, though, whether you're going
- 23:41to be able to emotionally move on. And she's pretending in this particular talking
- 23:47head that she hasn't made the decision, but we know in the preview for
- 23:49next week she comes to her decision and she dumps those losers. If we
- 23:55actually get to see that scene next week, I think we do. I
- 23:56feel like they're showing Robin in the actual preview crying on her bench about wanting
- 24:03to be on her porch with We've seen that preview a million times though,
- 24:06Like they've literally been showing it this whole season. Not the Robin crying,
- 24:10but we've seen the picnic table of them talking. I think we're going to
- 24:14see it next week. And I also I also think it's going to be
- 24:15the season finale and they just beat to let us know. I think that
- 24:19we're going to go right to a season finale next week, and then for
- 24:23the preview for the next episode, it's going to be some lay mass,
- 24:26dumb ass hoe ass tail nothing. There better be a tell nothing. There's
- 24:32going to be something. I don't know. I feel like, in my
- 24:34bubble guts, there's not going to be a tell all. That's what I
- 24:37was worrying. I feel like there's not going to be a reunion. They're
- 24:40just gonna stop and come back at some time undetermined in the future. That's
- 24:45what I was worrying about earlier in the season, with all these talking heads
- 24:47of them responding to each other. I'm like, oh God, please don't
- 24:49do this in place of a tell all. I swear, I swear well,
- 24:55get ready, honey, TLC is fitting to disappoint you and that's a
- 24:59fact. Yeah, And the next scene, we have a party happening at
- 25:03Mitchen aspens again, nobody cares well. I mean, I guess it's a
- 25:07good vehicle for us to learn more about how Christine is thinking about dating.
- 25:14And Isabelle is about to return to North Carolina. They're having lobster surf and
- 25:18turf, which is a nice moment for the family. I guess Christine's really
- 25:23happy to have this time with her family, and Isabelle is also really appreciative
- 25:27of that because I guess there's not enough family in North Carolinas. Caleb and
- 25:33Maddie, Yeah, I mean that's fair. I would want to move back
- 25:36to where everybody else is in the country right personally, So, what did
- 25:40you think about this scene? I mean, I don't remember how the whole
- 25:45topic of Christine dating Tony brought it up, but like it seemed like that
- 25:48was totally produced and Christina and her talking, I was like, I don't
- 25:52think it's appropriate to talk about it as she's talking about it. I really
- 25:55want to, I really want it. It's like, oh my god,
- 25:57yeah, calm down. Do you think she's dating David Wooley at this moment?
- 26:02It kind of feels like it. I was wondering, maybe it kind
- 26:06of feels like it maybe or she's right on the verge of doing it.
- 26:08And I'm wondering what happened to the matchmaker, because now they're talking about dating
- 26:12apps and things of that nature, and so I'm like, well, what
- 26:15happened to that lady? Well, maybe it didn't work out because those matchmakers
- 26:19stuck it most of the time. Anyway, how do you know that from
- 26:22Love Without Border? What's the other one match me abroad? Have you watched
- 26:27that? No? It's kind of a drain wreck. Really, so none
- 26:30of those matches work out? No? No? Really? Oh my god?
- 26:33Yeah, Okay, So she's not wanting anything casual. She doesn't want
- 26:38to just and move on. She wants the real relationship, and she's willing
- 26:44to wait to get it, but not that long. No, she really
- 26:47wants to find somebody. I think she's just an endless romantic. I wonder
- 26:51if she's seen Pride and Prejudice, which we watched the other day together.
- 26:55I have been asking sidebar Okay, I have been asking my daughter in law
- 27:00here because we both love a rom com. Yes, and I have just
- 27:06loved two thousand and five Pride and Prejudice with Kira Knightley and Matthew McFadden mcfaden,
- 27:11however you say his last name. I also own I think the nineteen
- 27:15ninety six series with Colin Firth and whatever the other chick's name was. But
- 27:21I love Jane Austen so much, and so I've been asking her to please
- 27:25come over with your mother in law. Let's watch Pride and Prejudice. I
- 27:29really think you'll like it. So just the stars aligned. You happened to
- 27:33be off work, you came over, We sat down and watched it.
- 27:37And when I tell you, this girl has since become obset the Instagram reels
- 27:42I receive of like every scene from Pride and Prejudice because you're just watching them.
- 27:48I'm just like watching, analyzing all of itssday and oh my god,
- 27:52so good. We got to watch it again because you watch it like every
- 27:56once every other month. Yeah, I do. And I also I own
- 27:59it and I own Sense and Sensibility and I own Emma. We got to
- 28:03watch that. And I don't own Persuasion because I don't know if I should
- 28:06buy it. It's from nineteen ninety six, is it to dated? But
- 28:07I'm going to buy it to do it. But I just love it.
- 28:11Yeah, it's really good. The chemistry. Girl, that's what Christine wants.
- 28:15That's exactly whatever scene. I'm sure that one scene when they're outside under
- 28:21that I don't know, it's rain some dome. Yeah, it's raining,
- 28:25and he asks her to marry him, and she like wants to come in
- 28:27for the kids. I'm getting activated right now. First, please, girls,
- 28:33look at my husband. I'm like, come on, a little bit,
- 28:36just a little bit of romance. It's stomping around in this cowboy.
- 28:40A little bit of pride and prejudice would be great. But yes, that's
- 28:44what Christine wants. Is she smart enough to like understand, I'm sorry that
- 28:48is so terrible. I'm sure she's intelligent enough. Yes, enough. So
- 28:53it's heartening to know that ultimately she does find soulmate love. Yeah, David
- 28:59Willie and he got matching taped. Oh. After this, Christine meets up
- 29:07with Janelle to go on a road trip. She wants to take Janelle to
- 29:11Burley, Idaho, and they're going to ride around on ATVs and they're just
- 29:15gonna have some fun. Yeah. And this is kind of an interesting conversation
- 29:18in the car because Janelle's talking about how she doesn't feel like she's really even
- 29:23married to Cody anymore. She does not want to reconcile at all. She's
- 29:27totally done. They don't have a marriage. She hasn't seen Mary in a
- 29:32year. She doesn't care about Robin and Cody, but that her and Christine
- 29:36are always going to be real tight home girls because they raise their kids together,
- 29:38and that's the true definition of sister Rives. It's pretty interesting. And
- 29:42doesn't she bring up the finances at this point too? I can't remember if
- 29:45it No, it's at it is at the ATV place. The conversation starts
- 29:51with Christine saying that she wanted to ask Janelle about something that Robin had said,
- 29:56which was how she could get like a formal dissolution of marriage right through
- 30:00the church. And so there's a question from Christine as to whether Robin felt
- 30:07like her just up and leaving Christine up and leaving somehow invalidated Robin's marriage.
- 30:12And then she asked, Janelle, did my leaving so quickly invalidate your marriage?
- 30:18And I'm like, what what? I didn't understand because Robin is the
- 30:22legal wife. Yeah, there's nothing that's going to be invalidating that marriage,
- 30:26right, And she knows it too. Yes, but maybe she's just trying
- 30:27to play the whole like good Mormon playbook because was the last season she was
- 30:33like, Oh, Christine's not really divorced unless she has sexual intercourse with another,
- 30:37right, right. I'm like, that's not even in the Mormon playbook.
- 30:40Yeah, just go ask your priest if you can get a divorce and
- 30:42he'll grant it, yes or no, right from God or whatever. Right,
- 30:47So maybe she's just playing the good Mormon, trying to act like she
- 30:51actually cares about the religion that she so wanted to be a part of.
- 30:56She wanted to be a part of polygamy so badly, even though she destroyed
- 31:00everyone's marriages like her mother before her also did. I did find it interesting
- 31:06when Christine said that there is no ecclesiastical authority that has the power to grant
- 31:12her a divorce. She doesn't believe anymore. She asks Janelle at this point,
- 31:17does any do any of you believe anymore? And Janelle's like, I
- 31:19don't know. None of us really go to church, which means Mary doesn't
- 31:22go to church, Robin and Cody aren't going to church. They don't even
- 31:26have a church in Flagstaff. Yeah, I thought all of this was very
- 31:29interesting. Well, I don't even know if they went to church. I
- 31:32mean they didn't go to church in Vegas either, because they didn't have a
- 31:34priest. So if they had home church, of course, Robin teaching about
- 31:40purity, that's church, not diesel jeans and a diesel jeans breakdancing. We
- 31:45bop on over then to Cody and Bryan. This scene was Cody and Brian
- 31:49are king stupid. The second I saw this dudet his dumble, I'm just
- 32:00like, stop, why do we have to have bro time? And Cody
- 32:04just being like, it's really nice to be a real men who love and
- 32:07respect you. It's like he's all about respect, yeah, obedience and loyalty.
- 32:12He jerks off to that. Oh my gosh. Well, I think
- 32:14that he doesn't want to film actual scenes with Robin for some reason. Like
- 32:20the only scenes we see with them are going over to Mary's house to talk
- 32:23about like holiday functions and or her moving. But like they never really show
- 32:29us their life. He's much more like he much more easily shows us his
- 32:34friendships with other weird bros. Right, like yes, Brian guy, And
- 32:37I'm just wondering why, Like what's going on here? Why can't we see
- 32:40you guys in your life and what you do and your children. Maybe he's
- 32:45protecting her from protecting her from the negativity, maybe because he believes that she's
- 32:49done nothing wrong, right, she's the damsel in distress. She just came
- 32:52in with cap in hand just to be accepted by the family. So maybe
- 32:57he's trying to protect her, and she doesn't want to be in the limelight
- 32:59because are going to criticize her bad eyebrows, crybrows, and her fake tators.
- 33:06Maybe I don't know, but like, I'm just over all of these
- 33:08redundant scenes with Cody and his bros and his bromances acting like he's okay and
- 33:13there's no problems going on in his life. Well, and he's talking about
- 33:16how it is important to have relationships with your dudes because it helps you to
- 33:22take the focus off of all of your troubles, and it's just really good
- 33:25to know that there's somebody there to endure all of these problems with you.
- 33:30I'm just like, God, your life sounds like it sucks, like the
- 33:34way you talk about your life unless it's about Robin and what a sweet life
- 33:37you're creating. Right, it sounds like it really sucks. Yeah, well,
- 33:42because it does. I mean he has no family that loves him and
- 33:45cares about it except for Robin's kids. Really, right, I mean to
- 33:49go from this ginormous family where you did have this magic in Lehi to what
- 33:53you have right now? I mean yeah, like you would be dumb to
- 33:57deny that it doesn't feel deaf and doesn't suck. Oh my god, I
- 34:01didn't complete my thought about Cody Brown being a cheater from day one. Oh
- 34:07so again, I get this from Red Lipstick Reality TV. And when she
- 34:12said it, I stopped. I paused, and I'm like, huh,
- 34:15that tracks. So if Janelle was married to Mary's brother and Cody was dating
- 34:23and or then married to Mary and he starts falling around a little bit and
- 34:29flirting and who knows what else with Janelle so much so that she gets out
- 34:34of the marriage with Mary's brother and then asks to join Mary's marriage, does
- 34:40that mean he was cheating with Janelle while Janelle was married to somebody else.
- 34:45And then we know with Robin he was making all those weekend trips up to
- 34:50Wyoming or down to Arizona or wherever she lived. I can't say, George,
- 34:52I don't know, but he's traveling four hours or five hours each way,
- 34:57and there ain't no way he wasn't that girl. Yeah, which is
- 35:00why Christine was so upset the entire time, heavy with child as her husband
- 35:05is leaving for two three days a week. So he cheated with Robin allegedly,
- 35:10and it sounds kind of like he cheated with Janelle, Like Cody Brown
- 35:15is a cheater. Well like father like son, right, I mean his
- 35:19dad did the same thing, married a new woman after being married to his
- 35:23mom for But is that something he was doing. Was he moving in his
- 35:28faith to do that. It's weird that it's Janelle's mom. Yeah, doubt,
- 35:32That's what I'm saying. I like they probably framed it as this religious
- 35:37thing. It's like when seeking sister wived. Do you remember that one douchebag
- 35:40from Colorado he was dating some chick from like Brazil, Yes, with his
- 35:45high school sweetheart. Like it's that kind of concept, like where he convinces
- 35:50the wife like, no, this is a spiritual thing that we have to
- 35:52do, like God is calling us to do it. It's really great,
- 35:55but it's just an excuse for the man to get more punani. Yeah.
- 36:00Gross, I think he was a cheater from day one. I agree,
- 36:04And I think Janelle is kind of a bit of a cheater too, totally
- 36:07if she's flirting with, potentially kissing on another woman's boyfriend or husband, and
- 36:14or while she's married to some other dude. Well, Cody said that Janelle
- 36:16only likes him because he's hot, he's got a six pack. Well,
- 36:21okay, okay, So back to Cody and Brian, which I'm snoring,
- 36:24I'm checking out. I'm also angry. I'm like, why are you making
- 36:28me watch this? I feel like that's offensive. I don't care about that.
- 36:31We're trying to put the Lexus into a trailer, and of course Cody
- 36:36Brown didn't bother to measure. Of course, neither did Brian, who owns
- 36:37like a car lot, so neither one measure to see if he's gonna fit.
- 36:42So Cody's driving his dumb ass, ho ass broke ass car up into
- 36:45the trailer and turns this it doesn't fit. No, so turn this into
- 36:50some kind of an analogy about how he has conducted himself as a polygamist,
- 36:54in other words, trying to shove a square and wear a square pircle to
- 37:01a round hole, right, Yeah, trying to force something to fit,
- 37:06as opposed to asking himself, but does it fit? So he's talking about
- 37:09all of his other marriages, which is just again another excuse to avoid taking
- 37:14accountability for your failures as a husband and a father, Cody Brown, Yes,
- 37:17and trying to retrofit and memory hole the fact that you actually loved Mary,
- 37:24and you loved Janelle, and I believe you loved Christine, and now
- 37:28trying to pretend that you never really loved any of them. You were just
- 37:31trying to make something work. When we all watched with our own raccoon eyes,
- 37:36how you loved these women in the beginning. But as soon as Robin
- 37:39entered the picture, that shit went away. Yes, it did. And
- 37:43he also talks about his happy memories with a lexus. Did you catch that?
- 37:46With his happy memories with Robin? A lot of good things happened in
- 37:50that Lexus. I'm like, were we all fucking in that? Yeah?
- 37:52Were they doing shit in there? Yeah? Just like Ethan and Olivia in
- 37:57the hangar in his truck And he's like, if you took a black life
- 38:00to the back seat that vehicle, it would be crazy. It'd be a
- 38:04nightmare. I think that was absolutely happening with Robin and Cody. God,
- 38:07it's so nasty. But she got her answer, that's right, So she
- 38:10got her witnessing testimony that I'm supposed to be in this holy family. You're
- 38:19Lizabean. Yeah, but that's what she says. Yeah, it's just like,
- 38:23yikes, all of this is terrible. It's really bad. After that,
- 38:27we bop on back to Christine and Janelle. They're still in this car
- 38:32on this road trip, and there's a lot of different things that were said.
- 38:37First and foremost, again, Janelle confirms that they're separated. She says,
- 38:40it has been ten months since I've seen him, hung out with him,
- 38:44been around him. Big. I'm like, wow, hasn't come around
- 38:46once. No, and Cody also confirms on the couch that it's been ten
- 38:52months. Janelle then says he hasn't called Savannah since school started, so she's
- 38:57saying it's a month. So it's probably Tember or October at this time,
- 39:01and he's dropped off the face of the planet again, asshole, Yeah,
- 39:06very much. So they talk about the traditions in the family. Yeah,
- 39:09this was interesting because they were talked about Thanksgiving. Christine's like, remember when
- 39:14we used to just eat for four days straight on Thanksgiving every year, And
- 39:17Janelle says that that stopped once Robin came into the picture, and a lot
- 39:22of their family traditions stopped because Robin was a separate entity and she made it
- 39:28that way, and so they couldn't do things together. And then Cody in
- 39:32his talking head defends Robin again and says, no, we always did the
- 39:37family traditions, like they didn't stop because of Robin. That was actually a
- 39:42contingency for us to get married, was for her to respect our family traditions,
- 39:45and in fact, she enhanced our traditions, which I think he is
- 39:51possibly referring to the fact that Robin refused not to celebrate Christmas, and so
- 39:55because Robin said, I'm going to Vegas, I'm gonna spend Christmas with my
- 39:59family because you guys don't celebrate, then they brought Christmas back. So that
- 40:02was the enhancement. But I thought it was pretty wild to learn that Thanksgiving
- 40:07changed. Yeah, their Friday night family hangout changed. Yeah, no more
- 40:12Friday night dinners. Why isn't she coming over to the Lehigh House right to
- 40:15hang out with her kids on Friday nights or for Thanksgiving, Like, under
- 40:20what theory is it okay to separate Cody from his family and his customs.
- 40:24That's so fucked up? And like why just because you want to live out
- 40:28this fantasy that Cody's like her kids's real dad and she never really had a
- 40:32divorce, Like I think she's weird fucked up with that, Like that's why
- 40:36she had the whole picture made of Cody yep, with Christine's kids and everything.
- 40:39Like she's messed up. Man. Yes, In this conversation, Christine
- 40:45seems to be very accepting of the fact that they're just soulmates. Yeah,
- 40:50Cody happened to find somebody that he actually really deeply fell in love with,
- 40:54and she has accepted this. And Janelle says that that's cool enough. And
- 41:00yes, when Cody met Robin, he met someone who was a lot like
- 41:04himself. Yeah, they got along, had a lot in common, but
- 41:07his spiritual calling was to move beyond that experience and continue to love Robin,
- 41:15of course, but also to equally love his other wives and children. So
- 41:19it's fine that you find somebody that you vibe with, that's cool, but
- 41:22you can't just cut off the rest of your family. You have to find
- 41:25a way to rise above that and be there for them in the same way.
- 41:30And she says, Cody really tried, yeah, in the beginning,
- 41:32and I think he did try. I think he did too when the season
- 41:36started, like or the series started. I think he was really trying to
- 41:38make it all work. But he just got enamored and locked in to Robin.
- 41:44And perhaps she was probably manipulating him too, perhaps, I mean,
- 41:46well, telling him like, oh, you can just spend a little extra
- 41:49time with me, it's fine, Like, don't even worry about it.
- 41:52I don't like to let it out of my sight, right because they were
- 41:55madly in love and that's fine. But I love this about Janelle that she
- 42:00is calling him out on the spiritual bullshit because he is the one that's been
- 42:04acting like the priest of the family, right, He's the patriarch of the
- 42:07family, and like he's the leader. He has to be the example.
- 42:10And I know, like in Christianity, that's like a Bible scripture, like
- 42:14you need to lead your family as the man of the house. I'm sure
- 42:16it's similar in more money than but he failed at that, and he doesn't
- 42:21want to admit that. I think that's what really fucks him up inside,
- 42:24and that's why he makes everybody out to be evil and terrible, and they
- 42:28just hate me and they hate Robin, and so it's everybody else's fault but
- 42:31me, because I'm perfect. Let me ask you a question. When you
- 42:35watched the Mormonism Live interview with Cody Brown a week or two ago, did
- 42:38you get this sense that he, in an embodied way, acknowledged that he
- 42:44failed in his mission as a polygamist or is he still like trying to deflect
- 42:49and pretend he didn't do anything wrong. Well, this is what narcs do.
- 42:52Is like he says, I failed and it's hard to acknowledge my failures
- 42:58and to see them broadcast on TV as like the worst days of my life.
- 43:01But then he doesn't he doesn't get specific with it, and then he
- 43:06goes back into, oh, well, the wives are trash talking me and
- 43:08they didn't like Robin and so it was their fault. So like he says
- 43:13it to appear like he's taking accountability, but there's not really any demonstration,
- 43:19right, or like articulation of the ways that I actually failed and could have
- 43:22done it better. Yeah, and these are the ways that I'm going to
- 43:23try in the future to make it right. Hollow. Yeah, right,
- 43:27so it doesn't really mean anything like you're saying sorry or you're saying you failed,
- 43:30but it's you're not really learning it well. And it's like Robin's saying,
- 43:34well, we're making a point to smile so everybody understands we're not the
- 43:37bad guys. Hollow yet, hollow, Hollow, You don't actually really want
- 43:40to be there, Yeah, and you actually don't love any of these people.
- 43:44You just care about how you're being perceived, and you're being perceived poorly.
- 43:46But rather than try to fix that or try to, I don't know,
- 43:51manage it a little bit better, you're just going along with it with
- 43:53these fake lies, thinking that people are gonna buy it. Right, people
- 43:58who have watched eighteen seasons of Suit and we understand what's going on, Like
- 44:01it would go such a long way Beatrice and Raccoons if he just said I
- 44:06blew this. Yes, you know, I didn't expect to fall head over
- 44:08heels in love and in a different way than I had loved these other women.
- 44:13I didn't expect to truly want to spend more time with Robin and her
- 44:17kids and our kids. I didn't plan for it to happen this way,
- 44:21but it did, and now we have to shift and adjust and I have
- 44:23to make amends because I said it was going to be a certain way,
- 44:27like Kim Plath, I said it was going to be a certain way.
- 44:29I'm never going to divorce your husband and my husband, and then you end
- 44:31up doing it. You've got to make amends to the family that you created
- 44:36with those tenants, those family tenants. You've got to do something. And
- 44:38to me, if he could say that and show that and that he's actually
- 44:43trying to change, it would go a long way for rehabilitating Oh for sure,
- 44:47I would have more respect for him, equation. I probably wouldn't hate
- 44:51him as much if he would just had the balls to say that and just
- 44:54admit to his other wives, like, look, I did love you,
- 44:58but I fell out of love with you because I found my woman, my
- 45:00person, and I'm sorry, but like, let's figure something out, Like
- 45:04Christine said, you know, like if he just told us that, it
- 45:07would have made a difference. But he can't. He can't admit it.
- 45:09It's pride. It's terrible, it's really bad. Yikes. They end this
- 45:15road trip conversation by essentially affirming that they have each other. Janelle says,
- 45:21I would be devastated to lose Christine and her kids, but I don't miss
- 45:25Robin and I haven't seen Mary in a year, and I don't give a
- 45:29shit about Cody and his abs. And they both say that they have their
- 45:34core family unit with themselves and their kids. Yeah, and I thought that
- 45:38was interesting. I think Christine said something like, we're actually the only two
- 45:43to have survived polygamy. Yeah, because Cody's a monogamist and Mary's just somewhere
- 45:47lost in Parilwana B and B. Nobody's caring about Mary Mary who geees.
- 45:55Now we come to the last scene in the episodeisode where Christine and Janelle get
- 46:00to Burley, Idaho. They immediately start writing ATVs and they're having a lot
- 46:08of fun. Janelle likes the outdoors. She does. She likes a sense
- 46:13of adventure. That's the Taurus in her it is. I think it's really
- 46:15cute, very cute. Janelle tells us that she was actually a little bit
- 46:20concerned because she knows what Christine's feelings are around polygamy, and so she doesn't
- 46:24know if she's going to be walking into kind of a conversation about polygamy and
- 46:29is she going to have to defend herself. How's this going to go down?
- 46:32What did you think about the conversation around the table with Christine and her
- 46:37younger brother who looks just like Peyden holy shit, and her other younger brother
- 46:43and somebody's wife. What did you think about it? I mean, I
- 46:45thought it was nice, and I thought Christine's brothers were really nice people,
- 46:49like for being people who are very against polygamy, Like I think one of
- 46:52the brothers I can't remember was even was it Levi the young well that said
- 46:58that he thinks that polygamy should be illegal. I think Steve, yeah,
- 47:00yeah, And so, I mean, they have very strong opinions about it,
- 47:04and they made it known, but they were being very respectful, yes,
- 47:07and they weren't antagonizing Janelle and being like, why are you staying with
- 47:09this fucker? So I thought that was really nice. Christine's family seems nice.
- 47:15Yes, there were a couple of conversations we had to get through before
- 47:17we got to Janelle talking about her estate, which is what I really want
- 47:21to talk about. But I think his name was Steve. He did say
- 47:23that, yes, polygamy is harmful to women because it can leave them with
- 47:29absolutely nothing. I think the other brother, LEVI, had maybe thought about
- 47:32going into polygamy with his then wife, but then they didn't end up doing
- 47:37that. We learn a little bit about Christine and how she grew up and
- 47:42how her brother. I guess Steve was actually more conscious to the tension in
- 47:47the house between her other mother who lived upstairs and then Christine's mother who lived
- 47:52downstairs. Telling you the basement, why absolutely, it's like kind of weird
- 47:58because Mary kind of ends up like her Christine ends up like her mother,
- 48:02Janelle ends up like her mother. Ancestral energy, but Christine really never felt
- 48:08that tension. It always just kind of felt like a party in her house.
- 48:12Yeah, she knew at the age of seventeen that she wanted to be
- 48:15the third wife in one of these polygamist families, and she was gung ho
- 48:19for the religion. That's crazy. Yeah, she said she had a great
- 48:22childhood, Like, wow, okay, I mean that's great. Yeah.
- 48:25So I mean polygamy can work, I guess in some circumstances. If everybody
- 48:31convinces themselves that they're happy in it. Yeah. I mean, do you
- 48:34think it's even possible to have a polygamist family where the adults are happy or
- 48:42is it always just a sacrifice for faith? I am so unhappy, but
- 48:45I am putting my unhappiness on the altar for you God. This is my
- 48:50demonstration of how much I love you, because I will stay here and suffer.
- 48:52This is this what it is. I could never I mean I could
- 48:57never either. But I think it depends on how the man handles it.
- 49:00I think it all lands on the man and how they treat the wives,
- 49:04because if you treat one differently than the other, they're going to pick up
- 49:07on that, and then there's always going to be jealousy and there's always going
- 49:09to be tension. But if the man can't separate his time equally and give
- 49:15each wife what they need, then I think it can work. I mean,
- 49:20if they if he can't actually divide his time, I can say how
- 49:24it can be beneficial for the children. Yes, if you had two moms
- 49:29or three moms, you had three or four incomes in the home, like
- 49:34you can live at maybe a higher standard of living, especially in this economy's
- 49:37got a lot of support. Yeah, like just having kind of an extended
- 49:40family all around you. I can see how that would work. But I
- 49:43can just never see how women, especially could put up with another women.
- 49:47And then they start talking about the beginning of their marriages when they lived in
- 49:52that trailer. I didn't know that. I think I knew that they lived
- 49:57in a trailer, but like it was a small trailer. The walls were
- 50:00thin, like tissue paper. I think they say, so each of them
- 50:05had a bedroom. There's three bedrooms, like one bath, one small tiny
- 50:08ass kitchen, and so Cody's just going from one wife to the next wife
- 50:14to the next wife and banging them banging. You could hear all the sounds.
- 50:17You can't hear all of the moaning, the headboard banging, Yes,
- 50:23the cheeks clapping, honey, I can't. I would have I would go
- 50:28homicidal. Well, I would not be able to handle something like that.
- 50:30I'd runway in the middle of the night. I would kill everybody. Everybody
- 50:34would be dead, and then I would take myself out. We're all dying
- 50:37tonight. I hear you in that room. Oh my god, just that's
- 50:42terrible. But I guess they're trying to live polygamy as they think it's supposed
- 50:45to be. But my girl at Red Lipstick Reality TV, She's like,
- 50:51how come you're all in a trailer? You're all adults, right, the
- 50:53girl, you should be gainfully employed at the age of being employable, Like,
- 50:59why don't y'all have Mary? Why aren't you working? CODI? What
- 51:01are you doing? Janelle? What are you doing? Christine? What are
- 51:04you doing? They you could at least go to the QT, get back
- 51:07a job at the gas station, and get a nicer house. Right?
- 51:12Is that judgmental of us? Is that classes? You're such a classes bitch?
- 51:15They really are? Me? How dare you? It's not at all?
- 51:20But I could have never lived like that, No girl, Oh god,
- 51:23you know. And after this we start getting into the conversation around polygamy
- 51:31and how Janelle really thinks that it would be great if there were some laws
- 51:37in place that would establish the additional spouses, the additional women with legal rights
- 51:45where they could actually if there is a divorce, they could actually pursue their
- 51:50husband for their share of the assets and child support honey and maintenance or alimony
- 51:58honey, which I don't think Estine is pursuing Cody for child sport. I
- 52:01wouldn't know. I doubt it, but I don't think so. I think
- 52:05she's just happy to be gone. But he should be paying six years of
- 52:08child support yep, based on his income, which I would like to see
- 52:13in discovery. Yes, but that would be yes. But he should be
- 52:15paying for that. He should. And that's when Janelle said that about the
- 52:21whole legal rights and everything with the divorce. I'm like, oh, I
- 52:23know what you're bitter about. Like you have been stewing over this ever since
- 52:28that big fight, yes, ma'am, And like, I'm glad that she
- 52:31finally came to that realization that she's been the one that's been financially neglected.
- 52:36Because Christine had money, She had her own ass house with her own name
- 52:39on it, and she got to sell it and take that money and go
- 52:43up to Utah. Mary's got her house and her business. Mary purchased it
- 52:46herself. Mary put a lot of money into that family. Mary has also
- 52:50been financially neglected. Just because she has her own money doesn't mean that she
- 52:52wasn't robbed. She at least has a house, though Janelle's living in an
- 52:55apartment, right, I mean, everybody has a house, but Janelle Like,
- 53:00so I feel bad for Janelle that she's finally coming this realization, but
- 53:02I'm also glad because now I'm like, Okay, now, never go back,
- 53:07Never go back to Cody, no matter what he says to you to
- 53:09try and reconcile, which he won't because he doesn't care. But like,
- 53:13just never ever go back and separate your shit and get the fuck out of
- 53:17there and make that Plexus money with Christine and live your best, happy life.
- 53:22By the way, so she's Diamond in Plexus, which is I guess
- 53:27like a certain level of selling, you have a certain kind of a downline.
- 53:31I don't know anything really about MLMs that I know she's high up in
- 53:36the celestial kingdom for Plexus, but I think at her level, diamond,
- 53:39she's making like four hundred thousand a year. Good for her. And I
- 53:44found this sid on Reddit. I also saw another Reddit post that said Cody
- 53:47in the last few years was somehow prohibited from selling guns because he was selling
- 53:55gun kits. He didn't have a license to sell guns. Buddy was,
- 54:00and so now he's prohibited from doing so. And I'm not sure if that's
- 54:04true, but it kind of calls into question his streams of income currently,
- 54:08because if he can't go to his gun shows, he can't sell money,
- 54:12excuse me, sell guns. Or if he can't make a profit that way,
- 54:15then how's he going to be making his money except from TLC. I
- 54:19wish we could see their coins because I don't know how they even making ends
- 54:22meet right now with that two million dollar freaking flag staff, Like, how
- 54:25can you even pay that mortgage and then pay the payments on the land that
- 54:30you guys have, because if it's all on you and Robin's names, that's
- 54:32over eight hundred thousand dollars in land. Because I doubt Mary kept her plot
- 54:37of land. Maybe she think, no she did, she did, no,
- 54:40no no. When they paid it off in June of twenty twenty three,
- 54:45Janelle had ownership, Mary did, Cody and Robins, so maybe they
- 54:50separated it then. I'm not sure. I think everybody retains their portion of
- 54:53it, but that doesn't mean it's liquid for Janelle. It just means she
- 54:58has a piece of land. And if you want to buy on it,
- 55:00I mean, excuse me, build on it, then you're going to have
- 55:01to put the money in to do so. Because Cody's not going to be
- 55:05kicking in any money. No he's not. And so, yes, this
- 55:07is all a harsh reality for Janelle. She realizes she's fucking screwed again.
- 55:14I say, I wonder if there's not a legal argument or two that she
- 55:19could make to get at the very least anything she invested in that McMansion back
- 55:22to her, which again rumors are she did. But yeah, she's so,
- 55:28she's here advocating for women in polygamy. I love that for her.
- 55:31There should be laws to protect it. Really should there, really really should
- 55:35if you're going to let it be legalized. I mean, I know it
- 55:38wasn't legalized until recently, in recent decriminalized. I'm sorry, but like I
- 55:46know it wasn't fully okay, But like, if you're going to decriminalize it,
- 55:51if you're going to further legalize it, then there should be some laws
- 55:53in place. Maybe it won't be like a full legal marriage, but at
- 55:58least give the women the rights and stay like common law marriages. And yes,
- 56:01Texas, yes, you can just say you're married. You don't even
- 56:04have to get a legal marriage license or anything. Then the state of Texas
- 56:07acknowledges Texas. Yeah, oh god, I had no idea. Yeah,
- 56:10Texas has common law. There's a couple other states that do, but I
- 56:14notice thing those well. And Janelle's like, in the current situation, the
- 56:19way that everything is set up in polygamy, the husband can just ghost.
- 56:22You can just pick up, take all of his toys and go home and
- 56:27leave you with nothing high and drive. Nobody to pay the bills, muld
- 56:30nobody a right, nobody to maintain your home, feature kids. He's just
- 56:35gone and there's nothing you can do because you have no legal claim on that
- 56:37man. So that is wrong. But at the same time, baby,
- 56:42you put yourself in that position. You stayed in that position. You watched
- 56:45him, Janelle, you especially washed watched him move that money around, Yes,
- 56:51in the LLC, and you saw where that money went because you said
- 56:53you did, and you know that it was spent in ways that weren't necessarily
- 56:58good. You let it happen, and just like you let everything else happen,
- 57:01and now you're stalty about it. I was thinking about this during this
- 57:05scene. I'm like, so you're coming to these realizations, but you've been
- 57:07allowing this to happen yet thirty something years, so like you're kind of complicit
- 57:13in this Janelle, I mean I feel bad for you, yes, because
- 57:15it's wrong, but also like girl, you could have left a long ass
- 57:21time ago. She just never thought it would happen to her. Yeah,
- 57:23maybe maybe she thought it would work out in the end. She kept having
- 57:27hope buying Cody's lies. She saw what he did to Mary, then she
- 57:31saw what he did to Christine yea, and she just thought he's never gonna
- 57:36do that to me. And then as soon as they're gone, he focuses
- 57:39on you and he starts doing it to you. And here we are,
- 57:43man, Carol, I hope you got some money out of that. I
- 57:45hope so. Okay, So thus ends the episode. What we do you
- 57:51have to say? Though? I think Cody responds on the couch to this
- 57:54particular part and he says that him, Robin, Janelle, and Mary all
- 58:00have twenty five percent of Coyote Pass, so everybody has their assets, and
- 58:05he has always been of the mind that the wives should have their assets.
- 58:09He didn't say equal assets. He said that they have their own assets.
- 58:15Yeah, And I'm like, okay, but Janell's again living in an apartment,
- 58:17right, but she doesn't own and then Mary and her talking head says,
- 58:22yeah, we all own pieces of the property, but none of it
- 58:24is in either one of our names, Like, it's all shared and nobody
- 58:29owns it outright. But nonetheless, I believe that this will be distributed equally.
- 58:32Yeah, Okay, okay, Mary, believe in sure, down stop
- 58:37believe Lord Jesus. Okay. Now onto the preview, which I'm wondering once
- 58:42again if this is the season finale episode. I would be surprised if it's
- 58:45not, but maybe it won't be. We see that Janelle says she's still
- 58:51spiritually married to Cody, and I'm bored. I've already said this a million
- 58:53times, Jesus, Mary and Joseph. And she doesn't know how to get
- 58:57a divorce that way when you're spiritually eternally bound to the man, How do
- 59:00you get a divorced Write a letter to your brains. We see Mary,
- 59:06Cody, and Robin meeting at Coyote Pass again. Cody tells Mary in no
- 59:12uncertain terms that she wants something that they simply cannot have, and this is
- 59:17where we're gonna see. Mary says, I know you can love me.
- 59:21Yeah, there was a time you loved me, saying it with her whole
- 59:25chest, and I feel for this woman and this moment she's coming to terms
- 59:30with what's happening. Then we see good old cry Brows Robin Goblin Sobbin crying
- 59:37on the bench talking about how she wanted to sit on the performance of a
- 59:44lifetime you go girl, girl, and then Cody's saying that this appears to
- 59:49be the end of their plural marriages. Yeah, duh, you wanted this
- 59:53to happen, right, guy, I'm like, why are you playing this
- 59:57old dramatic part like it? Well, because if he doesn't initiate it and
- 1:00:00if they leave him, then he's not at fault. Yeah, even though
- 1:00:04he drove them away, he still gets his planet next to Cola. That's
- 1:00:07right, I guess. Wow. So any final thoughts about the episode are
- 1:00:15we getting Are we getting burnt out on this is? I'm getting burnt out
- 1:00:19just on this season because it's like, we waited so long for season eighteen,
- 1:00:22we were all so excited about it, and the majority of this season
- 1:00:24has just been rehashed footage. And I saw somebody made a comment I read
- 1:00:30it earlier today about this episode, like what the fuck is this shit?
- 1:00:32Yeah, Like it's garbage and it just feels like we're getting like the blooper
- 1:00:36reels, like the the b roll from at the bottom of the barrel of
- 1:00:39bullshit. So hopefully like next season's gonna be all new stuff, and like,
- 1:00:45I don't mind having some of the episodes be about Christine dating or like
- 1:00:49other filler stuff if it's interesting. I just don't care about Mickelty and her
- 1:00:52dumb kids. Oh god, and I don't care about like Cody loading cars
- 1:00:57into a truck and acting like a bro with his friend. No, nobody
- 1:01:00cares about any of that. Now get to the family stuff. I want
- 1:01:02to see the coin well and show us actual family situations. Because everybody's filming
- 1:01:07themselves on their iPhones. Why don't we have camera crews. Why aren't we
- 1:01:13in Robin's house watching how she has the family. Why aren't we looking up
- 1:01:16those paintings and that to vill Why can't we see the lower level of Robins
- 1:01:22Town thank you and the only time. Yes, that's where the boxes are
- 1:01:24crapy and the Rodents flat cats flat cats are down there. But I want
- 1:01:30to see more with Lake Janelle and what she's interesting, even that little gardening
- 1:01:34snippets cute with Gabe. I'm like, that is endearing, and I want
- 1:01:37to see more of that lifestyle stuff. I don't want to see fucking flashbacks
- 1:01:40and the same photographs shown over and over and over. I've seen those photographs
- 1:01:45more than I've seen my own wedding photographs so much I'm over it, I
- 1:01:51know. And if we have to see Mary at her fucking B and B
- 1:01:52one more time, Jesus God, Mary, you're b and B no nobody
- 1:01:59to date, super basic Mary, so bad. But I'm glad you have
- 1:02:01dreams and I know you want to have retreats, and you're gonna get a
- 1:02:05commercial kitchen. I'm here for you. I love that. But get a
- 1:02:07glam squad. Yeah, get you a real man, honey, who doesn't
- 1:02:10need to perm his fucking hair to hide his balding spots. Yeah, his
- 1:02:15various balding spots. And show us your life, like even the Lula Row.
- 1:02:20Show us what it is that you do so that we can deeply judge
- 1:02:22you. Yes, but I want to see real life. I don't want
- 1:02:24to see this shit. No, I don't want to. I'm getting I'm
- 1:02:27getting offended. I know, like it's all this time we put into watch
- 1:02:30these damn shows assaulting to my intelligence. Yes, and you're giving us crap,
- 1:02:35and yet we're gonna watch. Of course, that's what TLC is so
- 1:02:37fucked up for because they know they know we are and they know they don't
- 1:02:40have to try hard exactly. But imagine if they did. I imagine if
- 1:02:44they gave us the season of Our Lives where we see the fucking mental and
- 1:02:47financial breakdown of Cody and Robin, the divorce of Cody and Robin Camp,
- 1:02:52the bankruptcyas Janelle Winnings taking somebody getting that one hundred and forty thousand dollars mcmaon,
- 1:03:00Like, give us some place. You're gonna lose people. Yeah,
- 1:03:04they are. They're gonna lose people. They totally are. And I think
- 1:03:06a lot of people have been dropping off in this season even it's like why
- 1:03:09even our viewers on YouTube, like we started really strong and now people are
- 1:03:13like every week even though we make it very entertaining, I would like to
- 1:03:15remind you, yeah, make it and we have very I think thoughtful takes
- 1:03:21on what it is we're watching, But it's the same shit over and over
- 1:03:23it is, and a lot of what we're talking about, it's stuff that
- 1:03:27we're intuiting and like we're trying to see four to five layers deep because they're
- 1:03:31not saying anything because honestly, they've been lying to us since season one.
- 1:03:36Yes, this whole entire time, they've been lying, putting on a fake
- 1:03:39show. Like Janelle says, they were so idealistic, they wanted to make
- 1:03:44it work so bad and put on this front that they were a happy polygamist
- 1:03:49family and that it was possible, and then it was possible and it wasn't
- 1:03:52because you ever heard possible, and you all have been lying to us.
- 1:03:54Yep. Now just be honest about it, that would be so great and
- 1:03:58show us the aftermath, authenticat We really appreciate it. Thank you, thank
- 1:04:02you very much. All Right, Well that's all I have. Yeah,
- 1:04:06I mean it was an all right episode. When we got to the finances,
- 1:04:10that was interesting. I mean, it was just a taste though.
- 1:04:12Want open the books, open the legend please. Well, we will be
- 1:04:16back later this week. Of course, we are talking about Welcome to Platform.
- 1:04:20Another fucked up religious dissolution of an entire family, explosive detonations because people
- 1:04:27lack morals and ethics, which we love. We live for these things,
- 1:04:30and also we are covering ninety Day Fiance the current season and these people are
- 1:04:34just wiggedy, motherfucking wack, absolutely wiggedy wack crazy, so make sure you
