- 0:02podcast. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 0:06No. OHS.
- 0:10I tried it. I tried like a mix of woo and
- 0:12whoa. Wow, I don't even know it's.
- 0:14Confusing. I nailed my JCM Russian when
- 0:16when he was gone. And you would do something like
- 0:18that? Yeah.
- 0:18Oh no. What do I do?
- 0:21Exactly. Sounds like Wait, who?
- 0:25Said that. OK, I'm gonna leave now, but
- 0:32before I do, welcome into Bangor management of the Fantasy Hockey
- 0:35Podcast with Jake, Josh and Kevin Today, Week 17, Bilo sell
- 0:42high, the spiciest, most controversial episode of the
- 0:46week. Although last one, the waivers
- 0:47episode that dropped yesterday was pretty, pretty intense with
- 0:50the Metro Olivier discussions. We are at the top of enemy.
- 0:56Yeah, it's funny because you throw that word around a lot.
- 1:00I remember in the offseason we were like, you know, yeah,
- 1:02there's personal vendettas against Jason.
- 1:04Roberts When I have been done against people, they always win.

- 1:35Let's get into our two weeks ago update for the buy lows.
- 1:39Let's do it. So our buy lows from two weeks
- 1:42ago, we had Dylan Larkin. Since then, seven games played,
- 1:46three goals, 4 assists, 7 points point per game.
- 1:49Dylan Larkin. I set it when I recommended this
- 1:52two weeks ago. It was just one of those slumps
- 1:54everyone goes through for the most part.
- 1:57Even the best players have them. McDavid hasn't had a point in
- 1:59two games and I'm losing my mind.
- 2:00But no, this is a very clear he was going to immediately bounce
- 2:04back and I think the window is pretty much closed on that one.
- 2:07We then had Morgan Geekie since then, one goal, 3 assists, 4
- 2:11points. He's actually lighting it up
- 2:13this week. I'll let you guys guess who's
- 2:14playing against. And yeah, this one, I think the
- 2:17window still open for the buy low because it's four points in
- 2:21six games is not something nothing necessarily anything to
- 2:24write home about, but it's looking like he's turning it
- 2:26around. And also Boston's just been on a
- 2:28really hot tear right now, so he's definitely benefiting from
- 2:31that. And then lastly, we had Jake
- 2:33Ottinger was a great one. Since then, five games played,
- 2:36three wins, 2.04 goals against, average .915 save percentage.
- 2:41If anyone bought low on Aldinger you are laughing right now.
- 2:45Yeah, you're coasting. Like, yeah, They're like the
- 2:47Smith was outplaying him like crazy at the time that we
- 2:49recommended him. So I really hope you bought on
- 2:52anger when you had the chance. Yeah, now these were all another
- 2:55classic win for the banker management by Lowe's to get at
- 2:59these. This is like, you know, like I
- 3:01see this every time. I'm like, you know, waivers were
- 3:032814, which is still really good here.
- 3:05I feel like we're like 95%. Like I feel like we're like just
- 3:09non-stop sniping. Lisa Bilo sell highs.
- 3:11It's no wonder no one wants to trade with us in our leagues.
- 3:17Can't blame them. It's alright.
- 3:19Next we have our cell highs from 2 weeks ago we had Lane Hudson.
- 3:23Since then, seven games played, one goal, 7 cyst, eight points.
- 3:26So you probably like oh he's over a point per game since he
- 3:28had to sell high, you're an idiot, blah blah blah.
- 3:30And I mean yes that's true, but at the same time he was doing
- 3:32like 1.5 points per game at the time.
- 3:34Now he's only slightly over a point per game.
- 3:36Look, you could still sell high on that and he's not gonna
- 3:39finish over a point per game rest of season.
- 3:40That just doesn't happen. I mean he could finish like
- 3:42point per game you know, But like we were talking about like
- 3:452 weeks ago. He was 1.4 weeks ago.
- 3:47Yeah, he's at 1.4. That's not that's not a thing.
- 3:50Yeah, that's not a thing that happens for defensemen, any
- 3:53defensemen. So like we I was comparing it to
- 3:55Makar who was the best point for him defence when last year and
- 3:59and it was way higher than that. So yes, he is still a sell high.
- 4:02I still believe in that and I still love him because he's on
- 4:04the haves and he's great. .15 just like last year 1.15 and
- 4:09that's that's the elite of the elite defensemen don't go over
- 4:121.2 that's not really. That's it.
- 4:14I love looking at that as like a kind of metric.
- 4:16You go same with how we always do that with power play points,
- 4:18right? We'll look at what did McDavid
- 4:20and McKinnon do last year for PowerPoints.
- 4:22Like what did the top player in the league last year do for that
- 4:25category? Is this something that can
- 4:27happen? And then you're like, OK, the
- 4:28top player didn't like in this case, 1.15 from a car and he's
- 4:31doing 1.4. Do I believe that Hudson is
- 4:34going to have a .25 points per game winter season than Kyle
- 4:38Mccarter last year? If you believe that, then go
- 4:40ahead and you know, don't believe in the cell high, but at
- 4:42least you're doing it with like you know, an educated like
- 4:45here's my I think he's better than the best defence in from
- 4:47last year. So that's why I like looking at
- 4:50that. Then we had Kiefer Sherwood
- 4:52since then, one game played, zero goals, 060 points, got
- 4:56injured, got traded very eventful 2 weeks for key for
- 4:59sure. I'd say not a lot of hockey
- 5:01played, but I got a lot of stuff going on.
- 5:04So look, I don't know, I think you could probably still sell,
- 5:07pay off the trade hype and the fact that he's coming back soon.
- 5:10I don't think the windows closed.
- 5:11We talked about this when we're doing the news about the trade.
- 5:14Definitely not as high as he was two weeks ago when we
- 5:17recommended trading him because he was killing it.
- 5:19So hopefully people were able to sell then.
- 5:21I still think you could potentially do it, but probably
- 5:23not for as high of a target. And lastly, we have Brock
- 5:26Nelson. Since then, six teams played,
- 5:28three goals, 2 assists, 5 points, like 5 points in six
- 5:31games is nothing. Not too shabby, but what was he
- 5:33doing JQ 1-2 weeks ago when we. Recommended.
- 5:35Yeah. So, so right now let's say his
- 5:37last two coverage is a .83 points per game.
- 5:40At the time that we recommended him the previous two weeks, it
- 5:43was at 1.71. Yeah.
- 5:45So I'd say that's a pretty big dip, Yeah.
- 5:47So I hope people are able to sell when he was.
- 5:50Absolutely insane. Yeah, His points have halved.
- 5:53So you're not unhappy with this? This is what we said.
- 5:57You know, it's like, hey, you'll be you'll be happy with this guy
- 5:59on your team. But no, that was a ridiculous,
- 6:01ridiculous pace. And I really hope you sold the
- 6:05guy. Larkin was one of my targets.
- 6:06That would have been a great flip, I think.
- 6:09I think that the the cell high window has closed.
- 6:12But like we said, you know, you're not if you're at left
- 6:15holding the bag. There could be worse bags to
- 6:17hold. Yeah, but this, there's no,
- 6:19Yeah, that was a crazy. Stretch, yeah, it's tough
- 6:22because he still doing decent, right.
- 6:23So you could still sell him. It's just you can't tell him as
- 6:26high as you could have two weeks ago.
- 6:27So I would say the windows should be closed, but like the
- 6:29targets we were talking about last last time, I think you
- 6:31probably have a bit lower. But let's get into this week's
- 6:35bilos. I'll get us started.
- 6:37There's a guy who we don't usually recommend.
- 6:40He was a cell high. Another one of those Cinderella
- 6:42yoyos, I guess we're calling it at this.
- 6:43Point No. This is this is a reverse
- 6:45Cinderella. As I'm calling it, because it
- 6:47was OK, this is just a reverse Cinderella.
- 6:49It's not the yo-yo, like so hard.
- 6:52Yeah. So you're reverse, yes, reverse
- 6:55Cinderella story. Exactly.
- 6:56Yeah. So yeah, we've got Miro
- 6:58Heiskanen at the Dallas Stars and the last month he's
- 7:01averaging .45 points per game and .09 power play points and he
- 7:05missed two games for personal reasons.
- 7:08Dallas as a whole have lost eleven of their last fourteen
- 7:10games and their power play has been very slow, scoring only 5
- 7:13out of 22 in their last 10 games.
- 7:15Now quick caveat on all that stuff I just said, I wrote that
- 7:18before last night's game where they got 2 power play goals.
- 7:21So the numbers might be a little different, but that's just to
- 7:23come up starting you know like it's still you can still buy,
- 7:25but like it's it's starting so um just shows that I was right,
- 7:29but but we need to record this a bit earlier.
- 7:32But despite this slump, Dallas still has the number 2 power
- 7:35play in the entire league this year and he's getting his lock
- 7:38for that top spot. I know people thought Harley may
- 7:41have a shot this year, but it's condensed for the rest of the
- 7:44year and with only .09 performance last month versus
- 7:47this season average of .31. He has a lot of room to bounce
- 7:50back points wise. He doesn't offer much in terms
- 7:52of prices, so owners may be happy to get him off their
- 7:54teams. All these guys who don't offer
- 7:56much in terms of cats when they're going through a stretch
- 7:58of not points that's almost straight zeros they're getting.
- 8:01Owners are all like when you have a guy who's like this, I
- 8:04mean, I feel like I keep mentioning this, but when we had
- 8:07the debate with the Philip Forsberg Bilo, right, one of the
- 8:09like Kevin's point was like, oh, he's still putting up sick bad
- 8:12cats. So like the owners not desperate
- 8:13to get him off their team, even though the points will, you
- 8:16know, progress positively. One of these types of guys, the
- 8:20owner is like, unless they really believe in them bouncing
- 8:22back to like, I gotta get this guy off.
- 8:23My team is doing absolutely nothing.
- 8:25So that's where we come in and we try and pounce.
- 8:28So here's some targets. Um, I think I have a bit of a
- 8:30range here, so you can tell me if you think I if you think
- 8:33these are reasonable or if you think I am too low and that no
- 8:35one would actually do these trades.
- 8:37So I had shade Theodore, he's been really hot lately.
- 8:40Brock Faber as well, Vince Dunn, John Carlson, Jackson Lacombe.
- 8:44I know I would take Heskin over these guys on.
- 8:46My main question is do you think that anyone would actually trade
- 8:50he's going in for any of these guys?
- 8:53Hmm, I think one for one, I don't think any of these get it
- 8:55done. I think you would need to need a
- 8:57little bit of a plus. I think he's gonna like body of
- 8:59work. This season is too high and his
- 9:01name is too valuable, even if they're like his name is always
- 9:04like fake valuable. It's more valuable than his
- 9:05actual production is. But this year he has the
- 9:07production earlier in the season to back it up.
- 9:09But I think in in a package you could definitely make these
- 9:12things happen. Like shadow was almost my cell
- 9:14high because he's like .75 points per game for like the
- 9:17last few weeks and I do not think that stays even close.
- 9:21He has not going to sniff power player 1.
- 9:22So like he's a get it off your roster type of player, but I
- 9:26think Vince Dunn, I think Jackson Lacombe, they also hold
- 9:29some name value too. John Carlson as well.
- 9:32That in a package and A2 for two.
- 9:34You make it like a a deal there. I think those could happen for
- 9:37sure. Even Brock Faber, his back cats
- 9:39are pretty nuts. He just doesn't have the points
- 9:40exposure. So.
- 9:42If somebody knew all these guys over the past month have have
- 9:44really solid points per game. Yeah, that's kind of how I like
- 9:47like picked them. But it is tough with like the
- 9:49Theodore and Faber and and Carlson like if they don't have
- 9:52power play one. It's hard to convince someone to
- 9:54trade a power play one guy from a non power play one guy.
- 9:56But with how they've been performing, I thought that it
- 9:58can get your foot in the. Door, I think you can treat us
- 10:01Sergachev for he's going to and I might like to do that.
- 10:03I was looking at that, I just wasn't sure if that was if that
- 10:06was feasible because I didn't feel like circuit has been that
- 10:08hot lately. Yeah, but he has more quote, UN
- 10:11quote pulled than these other guys think.
- 10:13So you could probably get that done.
- 10:15Let me ask you, would you do? Would you trade Dougie Hamilton
- 10:17for Haskin? Dougie Hamilton has been so
- 10:20good. Finally, finally finally.
- 10:23I held him all year like an insane person and he is 7
- 10:27straight games with a point. He is an apple orchard just
- 10:31dishing left and right time to catch it.
- 10:33And I mean, I probably I probably should be shooting out
- 10:37offers. I don't think I I feel like
- 10:39nobody's buying it. So and also no one likes trading
- 10:42with me anymore after my friends at the start of the season.
- 10:44But yeah, and also I've been a bit checked out honestly,
- 10:46because it has not been going well for the past couple weeks.
- 10:49So so, but no, if I if I do get back into the trading, I would
- 10:52take He's going overdue you for sure.
- 10:53I think that's a trade you can probably make happen like
- 10:55because of how hard these points have been in the last like 7
- 10:59games. I think it's going back to plus
- 11:03the Luke, Luke's injury helps him a lot, right?
- 11:06Like he was like, yeah, about to get shipped out down there.
- 11:08Like they're stuck with him. We need him, yeah.
- 11:11You might have the. Rest of season, but I think I
- 11:14like. I think John Carlson can do it
- 11:17one for one of the list. And also, I mean, Lacombe has a
- 11:21lot of name value, even though I don't necessarily think, yeah,
- 11:25they really do well, I think I. Don't realize is that he used to
- 11:27be a forward. Show.
- 11:30Other people love him. Yeah, he's on Team USA ahead of
- 11:33Lynn Hudson. I don't know how that makes any
- 11:34sense, but we don't have to go. Into that they they pretty, they
- 11:37pretty much said we already have a short over point per game
- 11:40defenseman, so we don't need to. Crazy logic, but yeah,
- 11:44Hamilton's a good a good addition to this list to get it
- 11:46done one for one. I agree.
- 11:48I don't think the other ones can.
- 11:51Look, Haskin is someone who when he was a cell high, part of the
- 11:55the idea there is that we don't necessarily believe in him long
- 11:58term. The Harley situation was also a
- 12:00question mark. So but now I firmly believe that
- 12:04he'll be .75 to .8 points per game rest of season, which is
- 12:10pretty decent. His blocks are always good and
- 12:12he should have comment himself on the power play.
- 12:14Yeah. So yeah, it's a great
- 12:17recommendation. I don't know how much of A plus
- 12:20I would add to Theodore Weber and done, but I think if you add
- 12:24in someone not too hot but also reasonable it could be a really
- 12:28good return. Yeah, alright, Kevin, who do you
- 12:33got for us? Alright, I'm actually really
- 12:36excited to talk about this player.
- 12:37I don't know why, but I actually love him so much.
- 12:40In my mind, this is this is what I drafted Josh Norris to be,
- 12:45except Josh Norris is on IR and this guy is I feel like about to
- 12:48pop off even more, but I'm about to talk about Adam Fantilli of
- 12:51the Columbus Blue Jackets guys. I think this season I'm turning
- 12:54into like the biggest Columbus fan.
- 12:56Not. Only do I have their goal and
- 12:58also hater. Through hitting of one player,
- 13:02Matthew Olivier. But listen, we we go way back,
- 13:05you know, there's, there's beef, there's drama, there's.
- 13:07There's a history there for sure.
- 13:09There's, there's a big history, but I'm hoping to have a future
- 13:12with Adam Chantilly because I, I think he's a phenomenal player.
- 13:17Guys, his backyard, I don't know if you've been looking at it
- 13:20like we talked about backs, we talk about shots, hits, blogs,
- 13:23throw face off wins in there for the leaves that have face off
- 13:25wins. But over the last month he's had
- 13:28three shots a game, 8 faceoff wins, 2.3 hits, and .8 blocks.
- 13:34Like this is crazy. Elite category coverage from a
- 13:37pure C. He's only averaging .5 points
- 13:40per game over the last month. The power play is is is still
- 13:43solid. He's a point to power play
- 13:45points over the last month, but that's his monthly production.
- 13:48The the the points are significantly worse than the
- 13:51banger Cats and the points have been even worse as of late.
- 13:55No points over the last week .4 Over the last two weeks with the
- 13:59new coach, his role is even more important.
- 14:02I think we saw Monahan take a step back after a bonus came in
- 14:06and I think Chantilly has had more responsibility.
- 14:08He's playing 20 minutes a night more consistently than we had
- 14:12games before in the past. He's playing like 2122, but
- 14:14usually around 18 things consistently playing over 20
- 14:18minutes a night. Right now.
- 14:19I think he's the future of this team.
- 14:21He's cemented line one. He's playing with Marchenko.
- 14:23I think there's way better days ahead.
- 14:26Marchman just came back. I think there's an influx of
- 14:28talent on the top 6. I think the the bonus honeymoon
- 14:31phase, Listen, we're gonna ride it and hopefully it sticks, but
- 14:34I think there's a really high ceiling for Adam Fan Tilly and I
- 14:37wanna get in right now because if you play in a league where
- 14:40you know, you're able to trade somebody that's been hotter for
- 14:42points and then, you know, chantily matches the points,
- 14:45enter getting the banger cats from it.
- 14:47I think it's a no-brainer, honestly.
- 14:48Like I, I've been trying to acquire him and hasn't been
- 14:51going well, but I've been trying to get a good deal on it.
- 14:54So we'll see if something can happen.
- 14:56But in a lot of leagues, I think he's easily acquirable because
- 15:00his percentage is not even that high.
- 15:01Like he's only roughed in 47% of Yahoo leagues.
- 15:05Like in my opinion, it should be like 60 plus.
- 15:07But I understand not not every league is deep, but I think when
- 15:10he hits his stride, everybody's gonna want him on their team.
- 15:14And I'm trying to get in right now.
- 15:15If you can trade guys like, I mean, this might be a hot take.
- 15:18Honestly, I had trouble with with evaluating what the level
- 15:22of player to send because I think I value him more than most
- 15:25people value him. But if you could send Ryan
- 15:27O'Reilly, who has been insane, right?
- 15:29Like he's been one of the best fantasy receives over the last
- 15:32two months it feels like. So it feels risky to give him
- 15:35for fantasy. You could get Chantilly Plus,
- 15:36and I would absolutely try to do that.
- 15:38Brock Nelson, I feel like it's perfect.
- 15:40Like Jake, you just talked about the two week update.
- 15:43His production has got cut in half over the last two weeks.
- 15:46I still think he's done enough that you could send them
- 15:48preferentially one for one and get that done and I would do
- 15:50that. I think Slough might be a a
- 15:53tricky one, but Slough has been super hot.
- 15:55We talked about him being a cell high.
- 15:57I think his points come down a little bit.
- 15:59I think the points sealing for both of those guys is is
- 16:02similar. But look at Fantilli's back cats
- 16:04compared to Slough. I think it's a no brainer And I
- 16:07think Zuccarello, he's been really hot as of late.
- 16:09You know, the resurgence of this Minnesota power play and and the
- 16:12top 6 just going off. I think this is a guy that you
- 16:14could sell like he's been a streamer in a lot of teams.
- 16:17You're able to sell him for a Adam Fantilli think it's a no
- 16:19brainer. Tried to give some better guys,
- 16:21some worse. What do you think?
- 16:23Yeah. So yeah, you gotta go ahead.
- 16:26So I was just gonna say. Now you have this.
- 16:29This feels this to me is very similar to like the Forsberg one
- 16:36that you would you would reference Josh where I was.
- 16:39Saying before the second round pick.
- 16:41Yeah, but Fantilli was a third overall pick and they didn't do
- 16:46this to have him be like a shots hits decent forward.
- 16:49So the fact that he's doing this with the actual points upside of
- 16:52being able to be truly elite and we've seen him go through
- 16:55stretches. He's young, it's going to come
- 16:56in streaks. But the fact that his floor now
- 17:00is a banger league stud with the shot hit combo and then faceoffs
- 17:04is just even better. Makes this an incredible,
- 17:07incredible buy low opportunity. I think he could be one of those
- 17:10if you make the swap or pick not be if you're not in a deep
- 17:14league, could be like a league winner in bangers leagues.
- 17:16It's really, really amazing to see.
- 17:18I also think the surrounding cast, if he does play with
- 17:21Marchenko, who could be a point per game player, that's just
- 17:23more reason to believe that he'll be amazing.
- 17:27And finally, for your targets, I, I, I don't wanna dive too far
- 17:32into it, but to, to focus on, on Sloth and Zuccarello.
- 17:35Look, if I have Fantilli and someone offers me these guys,
- 17:39like, I don't think I'm taking it to be honest, but I
- 17:42definitely don't think it's insulting and I think it's
- 17:45worthwhile and I think a lot of people will go for it.
- 17:47I'm even thinking I have slop right now.
- 17:49I'm just sending that offer. I think if you sense for pencil
- 17:52you could get done one for one. I actually think you could get
- 17:54done too, and I think I do believe this last points.
- 17:58Sorry, you just said you didn't. I said if I had Gentilly and
- 18:01someone offered me Slav I wouldn't trade him.
- 18:03OK. So.
- 18:05So you think off and someone offered me Van Tilly.
- 18:07So I'm saying like as the Fantilli owner, I think that
- 18:09especially in a faceoff wins league, he's almost too valuable
- 18:12that like I wouldn't want to get rid of him.
- 18:13But I think you know, like you look at the own discrepancy, you
- 18:16look at like how good slot has been for points.
- 18:18I really, really like that swap a lot.
- 18:22Zuccarello may be underpaying a bit because they especially if
- 18:25you look at only 25% off. So I don't know if that one can
- 18:28get it done and Nelson on O'Reilly, I think those ones are
- 18:32slam dunks and absolutely you can.
- 18:35And if you of course those roll Riley particularly, you could
- 18:38add the plus defensively and I think it's possible.
- 18:41Yeah, so I I love the Bilo. I'm a big fan of Fantilli.
- 18:45I didn't realize his back. That's where that nuts.
- 18:47I knew I was teamed. The shots were really nice and
- 18:49the face off wins were nice. I didn't realize he had been
- 18:51hitting like that. So that's A and I also believe
- 18:53in the points outside. So all of that I agree with for
- 18:56the targets. Zuccarelli slam dunk.
- 18:58I don't think, I mean actually it could get done if he keeps up
- 19:00the points and Chantilly has another like slow week.
- 19:03I think it could get done. But that's the least likely and
- 19:05the most yeah, that's the most no brainer for me.
- 19:09Like I'm absolutely Chantilly overtook.
- 19:11The other ones are tough actually, because like for like
- 19:15looking at the centres, right, O'Reilly and Nelson, like
- 19:17they've been doing so well. I'm not trading them unless I
- 19:21get Chantilly plus. Now that doesn't mean that I
- 19:23don't think Chantilly is better rest of season, but I just think
- 19:27you're not making the most of your value.
- 19:29Like I think if you're trading O'Reilly or Nelson, like you can
- 19:33aim higher. So, so that's that's kind of my,
- 19:36my view on those and I kind of you slap the same way.
- 19:38Like I don't even know which one I would rather rest this season.
- 19:40I didn't maybe I'm out of touch with with Slough, but like I I
- 19:44like like I said, I haven't been like following every single
- 19:46player stats as much as I normally do the past couple
- 19:48days, but but I've been insane, right and and he's like supposed
- 19:54to be insane. I know his back hats haven't
- 19:55been there this year, but like I don't see why why you guys are
- 20:00so like ventually slam dunk over slapped.
- 20:02To me, that's a that's a real thinker and with how slaps
- 20:05doing, I think if you're doing that, you should get fatally
- 20:07plus. Yeah, I think you said that.
- 20:09You get it, Get it. Like I think anyone who has
- 20:12Chantilly, if someone offers them slap one for one, they
- 20:14accept slap in a second, yeah. I think the peripheral
- 20:18categories are crazy to me. That's why I think it's such a
- 20:21good offer. And look, we've seen slot go
- 20:24through, go through stretches in the past, you know?
- 20:26Absolutely. And Slot, what is a cell high?
- 20:28Like there's not out there. I think maybe it's just kind of
- 20:31the same thing with O'Reilly and Nelson where they're also sell
- 20:34highs, but like, I just think you could get more for them.
- 20:37Last season Chantilly with a .66 points per game and he didn't
- 20:41have the role that he had this season.
- 20:42This year on the season is at .6.
- 20:44He also did not have the role the whole year, but he has a
- 20:47decent have worked. I think the point threshold
- 20:49should be higher. I think his floor is like .66
- 20:52like .7. I think that's his floor and I
- 20:54think he'll probably he has in his range of outcomes for rest
- 20:58of season to average I think .75 point eight points per game and
- 21:01with the back categories like attached to that, I think he's
- 21:04be a phenomenal player so. Yeah, anything that was bad.
- 21:07Cats are like sustainable. Like the shots I'm not worried
- 21:10about, the ones I'm not worried about.
- 21:12You think that hits? You don't think that's a flash
- 21:13in the pan? You.
- 21:13That's part of his game. Because he was hitting last
- 21:16season, so last season it was hovering around 25.
- 21:19This season he's ticked more up and the shots as well.
- 21:21Last season the shots were like at 2.2.
- 21:23I can see him ending around 2.73.
- 21:26And I think the difference maker there to make up the the
- 21:28increased production is a time on ice.
- 21:30He's on the ice for 20 plus minutes a night.
- 21:32He's going to be doing more of the category coverage, right?
- 21:34So I think those are pretty consistent.
- 21:36We saw it like last year that it was an element to his game.
- 21:39It's just a proportions are higher because that is the time
- 21:41on ice is higher. Absolutely no, I, I, I love it.
- 21:44I just think like, like I said, with those targets, I think you
- 21:47can get mentally plus and if you could do it, we love talking
- 21:49about this. You do that too for two where
- 21:51you give like O'Reilly plus a guy for Chantilly.
- 21:54And then the other guy you get is like an upgrade on your
- 21:56second guy. And in your mind you're like, I
- 21:58actually already prefer Fantilli, but I'm also getting
- 22:01an upgrade elsewhere. That's kind of how I would I
- 22:03would use these kind of targets. It's tough because interface off
- 22:05wins league. I also think that it's harder to
- 22:08trade guys that offer faceoff wins when you're not giving one
- 22:12back. So it like limits the way you're
- 22:15able to do trades unless the other team has like an abundance
- 22:17and they're they're OK getting rid of some.
- 22:19But it, it's it's tough because that's why it's been hard for me
- 22:23to get a deal done because I want to overpay.
- 22:26I don't think I should overpay, but I do really believe in the
- 22:30plan. I really want them.
- 22:31So it's something like the desperateness of like, me
- 22:33wanting to get him before he blows up, and also like not
- 22:35overpaying and just buying somebody that's at a ceiling.
- 22:38Yeah, no, that's, that's super fair.
- 22:40I mean, honestly, I was gonna start going to look at at
- 22:42Fantilli offers also. So we'll see if any of us can
- 22:45get something done. But I mean, also it's a huge red
- 22:47flag to the owner, right? If he starts getting offers from
- 22:49like all of us, he's gonna be like, maybe I should hold on to
- 22:52this guy. I just sent one but actually is
- 22:55really fair. What did someone that I think is
- 22:57really fair? It's a it's a 3 for three.
- 23:01I don't know if I'm just getting caught up in the hype, but.
- 23:04Don't you just talking about it right now and you're setting it
- 23:07off right now exactly Forsberg he just reduced so for exactly
- 23:13he saw Jake's offer coming in and he saw his other offer.
- 23:16He just rejected mine SO. Alright, Forsberg, Slough,
- 23:18Sergachev for Fantilli, Wilson, Radish.
- 23:21Forsberg wait, Jake, you might be getting cooked.
- 23:24No, I don't think so. Forsberg off and and who
- 23:28Sergachev OK Achev for for. Wilson, Tom Wilson, Tom Wilson
- 23:32and Radish. That's tough.
- 23:37I think I'm taking Forsberg over Wilson here.
- 23:40I think I'm. Taking I don't think.
- 23:42It's taking forever, Wilson. I'm taking like slap over
- 23:45Chantilly. But like, at least like in terms
- 23:47of like trade perception. And that's crazy that he
- 23:49rejected that. That's a really good offer.
- 23:51OK, I'm not even going to bother sending an offer if that gets
- 23:53rejected. I was not going to send anywhere
- 23:54near that. Was not anything near that.
- 23:57Either Yeah, that's crazy. All right, Jake, why don't you
- 24:00take us to yours and then you can get back to sending trades
- 24:03all. Right.
- 24:04So quickly, quick disclaimer on this one, he was also a Bilo in
- 24:08Week 1. But I think that enough time has
- 24:10passed. We can definitely talk about.
- 24:12The limitations, yeah. Crazy crazy.
- 24:15There's literally like 4 weeks left in the regular.
- 24:17Season. Imagine owning a chump was on
- 24:19the Bilo episode twice in one season.
- 24:21Like imagine being the loser who drafted this guy.
- 24:25Yeah, it would be rough out. There.
- 24:27Yeah, that's me. Of the Los Angeles Kings we have
- 24:31Darcy Kemper. So my esteemed co-host Josh over
- 24:36here has made a resolution to not be so down on his luck in
- 24:40the group chat with me and Kevin.
- 24:41But there's been a mention here and there about Mr. Kember over
- 24:45over the last little. Bit if you pulled this, I'm
- 24:47going to lose my mind. No, no, no, no.
- 24:51One thing I've learned is that when Josh gets super sorrowful
- 24:55about his players, you know the turnaround is coming soon.
- 25:00All kidding aside, Kemper has been really not it.
- 25:03Over the last month, and especially since coming back
- 25:06from injury in 2026, he's played nine games and only two of them
- 25:11he's gotten over a 90 save percentage.
- 25:13Last year, for comparison purposes, he finished with a 9
- 25:16to 1 and was one of the best found singles to own.
- 25:19This year, things have been rocky for sure, but despite this
- 25:23brutal stretch on the season, he still had a 904.
- 25:26So, you know, between a 904 and you know, consistently being
- 25:30under a 90 over the last over the last few weeks, you could
- 25:34definitely see that there's an uptick over there and it's a
- 25:37clear buy low. Then you add on the fact that
- 25:40Kopitar has been injured for the last two weeks and may be coming
- 25:43back very soon over their upcoming road trip.
- 25:45They stand 6 in the Pacific, but there are only two points away
- 25:48from 3rd place. So clearly this is a turnaround
- 25:51point for the Kings and camper. Yeah, it's like you got the top
- 25:54three teams and then other than that, it's like really wide open
- 25:57for the for the 4th place over there.
- 26:00And last but definitely not least, and this is totally
- 26:04statistically, but Corey Perry is on this team, meaning that
- 26:06they're definitely going to be making the playoffs and losing
- 26:08in the finals. So if everything I said before
- 26:11wasn't convincing enough, the last part should definitely do
- 26:13the trick and there should be a turnaround for Camper and this
- 26:18team in the very near future. I think these are very
- 26:22reasonable recommendations. So if I had any of these guys,
- 26:28I'm trading them for Kemper and I really think it could get
- 26:30done. John Gibson, Jeremy Swagman,
- 26:33Joseph Woll and Carl Jamalca. I OK, I'll jump in as the
- 26:39resident Kemper owner and holder all season to say, first of all,
- 26:43I absolutely hope you're right because this has been a brutal
- 26:47stretch. And look, you know, it's a good
- 26:50buy low and even like I'm panicking, not panicking, but
- 26:53even I'm like, man, should I be like trying to get rid of him?
- 26:55Whatever. But like, no, everything is that
- 26:57the reason I haven't and haven't been like selling low on him is
- 27:00because I agree with everything you're saying.
- 27:02There's no reason for, you know, him to be as bad as he's been.
- 27:06I think also, like you could kind of see it exactly with his
- 27:09injury, right? He was playing really well
- 27:10before he got injured and then he comes back and has been
- 27:12horrible. So like, I think maybe like I
- 27:15was gonna say maybe the Olympic break will help him, but he's
- 27:17not getting a break. He's going to he's playing for
- 27:18Team Canada, but maybe he'll get held back up and he gets a
- 27:21little to relax a bit, you know, but but no, So I I'm hoping and
- 27:25believe in the turnaround for Kemper And in terms of your
- 27:28targets, I think they're all amazing targets.
- 27:30I think that they're the perfect level of like performing well.
- 27:34They're not like some like waiver pickup that you're trying
- 27:36to trick your opponent into grabbing their guys who like,
- 27:39you know, actually have some pull in a trade and are playing
- 27:41well. And I would rather have camper.
- 27:43So it's kind of like the perfect targets for for all of them.
- 27:45Yeah. Thank you.
- 27:48I I also liked it a lot. I think.
- 27:50I think Kemper rest of season like people, people do not
- 27:53people do not like him for like I'm seeing it in a discord.
- 27:56A lot of people are asking they can drop him.
- 27:57People are asking if they can trade him.
- 27:59Trade him for for. People, yeah.
- 28:04So it's tough because I feel that we're here and we're
- 28:05telling people I don't panic like he's still because in my
- 28:08mind, like temper has top five rest of season, like like
- 28:12upside, like he's on a team that is strong defensively, that
- 28:16should be winning more games that are losing.
- 28:17And he's a good goalie in himself.
- 28:19He just has he squishiness to him, which is not always fun.
- 28:24But I, I definitely think that all of these deals that you're,
- 28:28that you mentioned, like all these guys, I would definitely
- 28:30trade for Kemper and I'd be really happy about it.
- 28:33Yeah, I think it could get done. I wanna actually this is this is
- 28:36a fun one. Kevin, would you trade Jet
- 28:39grieves for Kemper? Yeah, come on.
- 28:43Well, I said top five, but those other four spots, yeah, No, I
- 28:49probably know Brainer. I probably should.
- 28:53Because there was no one. There that he would he just
- 28:56gotta million yeah you 1,000,000% straight trackies and
- 28:59I would toss that in that list though I think that could
- 29:01possibly get I mean it's tough because people have seen that
- 29:03Elvis started a couple games recently so they might be
- 29:05wearing that. Include him, yeah, Wedgwood
- 29:07didn't start three games in a row and he came back and, well,
- 29:10so. No, I mean, I don't think it's
- 29:13an issue. I think his trade value may be
- 29:15affected by that. But yeah, now you should
- 29:17absolutely trade Grieves, for example, if you have the chance,
- 29:21despite Kevin's bias of who's on his team.
- 29:24And this is like anti bias from my part because I've had the
- 29:26displeasure of having Kemper for this long, but I would not do
- 29:29that trade. OK, let's go to our sell highs.
- 29:32I'm excited for mine because I love grabbing sell highs from
- 29:36Kevin's team. This is him off so but it's a
- 29:40good thing if you have a solo on your team, it means your team
- 29:42has been doing well so you know you should be happy like.
- 29:44You gonna get worse. That's true, but it's not
- 29:49necessarily get worse. It's more like he's, yeah, I
- 29:51guess a little get worse, but you just have the opportunity
- 29:53here to do something big. So my cell high for this week is
- 29:55Artemy Panarin of the New York Rangers.
- 29:58For now, he's over the past month averaging 1.5 points per
- 30:03game .75 powerfully points and three shots on goal.
- 30:07On the season, he's at 1.12 points per game .34 power play
- 30:10points and three shots, which is almost identical to his stats
- 30:13from last year. So his season stats this year
- 30:15are almost identical season stats last year.
- 30:18I've seen enough that I think that's around where he should
- 30:20end up in terms of like like 1.15 points per game, .35 power
- 30:24play points, three shots, which obviously is someone you're
- 30:26super happy to have. But when you have the chance to
- 30:28tear up with how he's been doing, you gotta take it.
- 30:30His PowerPoint pace is completely unsustainable and
- 30:33should drop by at least .35 points and he's almost
- 30:37guaranteed to get traded, which means you're losing his elite
- 30:40playoff schedule and you don't know where he's going to end up.
- 30:42No matter where he ends up, he can't possibly do better than
- 30:45he's been doing now like he can do.
- 30:47He can maintain his his like normal levels, but he's not
- 30:50going to do better than 1.5 and .75.
- 30:52I can tell you that I hope so. I bet, I bet you his life on it,
- 30:54you know, so So yeah, he's he's not gonna do better than he's
- 31:02been doing. At best, you can do the same.
- 31:03And there are definitely some destinations that can hurt his
- 31:06value significantly, like Carolina.
- 31:08So now is a great time to trade him and not have to worry about
- 31:11it, get the guaranteed guy instead of having to worry about
- 31:13the, you know, variable guy, especially when the variable
- 31:16could only be downwards. So some targets I'm looking at
- 31:19Kyle Mccarr. He's been under a point per game
- 31:21for the past month. And with how how parents been
- 31:24doing, I think it's attainable in a lot of leagues.
- 31:26Mikko Rantanen, uh, the Kocher said he lost a bunch of weight
- 31:29cause he's sick. So, uh, you know, he's been kind
- 31:32of out if it's on a team who is struggling to make the playoffs,
- 31:35they're gonna want the guy who's performing now.
- 31:37Um, so that's definitely a good one.
- 31:39Brady could Chuck, he's been, he's always solid for bangers
- 31:42obviously, but the points aren't necessarily there.
- 31:44And I think we're at a point where parents points are just
- 31:47high. I mean look, they're the .93
- 31:49whatever. Like that's way more than you
- 31:51expect. You're super happy with that as
- 31:52a check owner. But I think the points
- 31:54difference between what parents been doing and what could Chuck
- 31:56is doing is enough that you can bridge gap and then I think you
- 32:00can get Connor Bidard plus right now.
- 32:02I think you get Jack Hughes plus right now.
- 32:04So I think these are all great targets.
- 32:07So I, I love this as a cell high for for the, the the idea that
- 32:11he's just performing super duper well and like this is probably
- 32:15the the pinnacle of sell him. And if you can't, then he'll
- 32:18still be an incredible asset on your team as the OK outside
- 32:24looking in. OK, Kevin has Panera, so I
- 32:26definitely want him to take take the lead on this one.
- 32:29But I just wanna say that from my perspective, Macar Ranton
- 32:34into Chuck for sure. And then Bedard.
- 32:38I just I want to take the plus out of the equation.
- 32:40Bedard and Hughes. I think I'm taking Hughes one
- 32:44for one. I don't think I'm taking Bedard.
- 32:45I really think you need the plus there.
- 32:47So try the plus for Hughes both, but I would still settle for the
- 32:52one. And last but not least, if
- 32:56you're, I mean, Kevin who you have Brady.
- 32:59So that's kind of a fun one. So who are you actually willing
- 33:03to trade Panera in for on this list?
- 33:07I think the only one that's out of reach is Brady, in my
- 33:09opinion, cause if you're, if you want Brady because you're in a
- 33:11bangers league and if you're in a bangers league, I think Brady
- 33:13is just you're not bridging the gap.
- 33:15I think Brady is at over a point per game over the last two weeks
- 33:19and he's hovering around a point per game on the season and he's
- 33:21got the crazy shots hits always. So I think that that's you need
- 33:24something to bridge the gap because the.
- 33:26Gaping like doesn't make the shots are also great.
- 33:29Like they're not that far off from Brady.
- 33:31So it's really just the hits. And like I think the PIM, I mean
- 33:35I think the like points and power play points difference is
- 33:39high enough that it could get done.
- 33:41I just, I just think in a bangers league, Brady is too
- 33:45all-encompassing that she was probably a first round pick as
- 33:48well. Panera was drafted after so and
- 33:51he's doing better than he did last season.
- 33:52So I think, I think personally he's too valuable that I would
- 33:55not accept that I need Panarin plus.
- 33:58But if you're gonna get it done in a bankers, they could be
- 34:00thrilled. I think all the other ones are
- 34:02very realistic. I have not tried to trade for
- 34:05Karmakar. I have tried to trade for the
- 34:07other guys. But with Renton it's kind of
- 34:10close though Honestly I feel like maybe I'm just too.
- 34:12I don't know if I'm too low on Rantanen, but he started the
- 34:15season super hot. I think it's just with the
- 34:18ambiguity of the trade. You probably do that, but you're
- 34:20probably just getting what Panera's doing right now or like
- 34:24what he's doing on the season type of thing because I do think
- 34:27parents more in Renton and so. The shots for sure and then
- 34:31randomly is a goat at Pimms though if.
- 34:33You're but it was like 3 games in like 2 weeks and that was it
- 34:37Pretty much like he's been testing on those.
- 34:39I feel like he's also been pinning other than that insane
- 34:42week that was against me. I feel like he's just getting a
- 34:45bunch of like minor penalties, keeps crashing into goalies,
- 34:47stuff like I think I feel like he's just doing a lot this year.
- 34:51Either either yeah, that yeah, Philly has that.
- 34:53But either way, I I do love the Panarin trade like we talked
- 34:56about Zeb last week being a cell high because, you know, we don't
- 34:58know who's gonna be on this Rangers team who's getting
- 35:01traded where they're getting traded.
- 35:02So ambiguity increases risk. Risk means values fluctuate so
- 35:06you don't really know what you're going to get.
- 35:08And I think right now parents been so hot that if you can cash
- 35:11in for even a lateral move in a safer, safer place than you do
- 35:17that. And I think all these names are
- 35:18perfect for. Yeah, yeah.
- 35:20But by no means though, like, is it the end of the world if you
- 35:23can't? Like, I think right now, right
- 35:26now you can trade him for these guys.
- 35:28And if he does get traded somewhere else, you know, the
- 35:32targets become more like a, a Stotler who I think is a tier
- 35:36below the ones that you mentioned, or a Kyle Connor
- 35:39right around sort of where Panarin got got picked actually.
- 35:42Like that's where he I just think that belonged.
- 35:44But now he's playing round one. Yeah, I just think with how he's
- 35:47been doing, there's no one out of reach.
- 35:50Like I mean and one for one there are obviously, but I think
- 35:53if you toss his name in there with, you know, you sometimes
- 35:57have to throw in a plus. But like, I think him plus, not
- 36:00necessarily the biggest plus can get you pretty much any player
- 36:03in the league with how he's been playing.
- 36:05That's how I feel so. Batherson and Panarin for Yeah,
- 36:09David. Yeah, I.
- 36:10Look good. So like, I mean, I wouldn't
- 36:14because I don't. Wanna big playoff boost for?
- 36:18You, but that is a big. Player games in a row without
- 36:20McDavid getting a point, you know.
- 36:23That if we project his last two game pace over the season, he's
- 36:28getting a point. Never getting a point again.
- 36:31You know, you guys laugh about that, but that's how my mind
- 36:33works, you know, like that happens to me and I'm like never
- 36:36getting a point again and again. My team is screwed.
- 36:38You know, like I treated away my entire team for these like two
- 36:42players and they could have done nothing this week, man, It's
- 36:46still. Bothers.
- 36:48It's always the perfect addition.
- 36:49It's so fun, so funny. Alright, It's just too Kevin,
- 36:54Sorry. Kevin, what do you?
- 36:55Got all right, I'm really excited to talk about this
- 36:59player because not only is he on a team with a bad playoff
- 37:03schedule that I'm trying to move off of, but he's also been
- 37:06insanely productive and he goes through stretches like this
- 37:09early season he was a league winner, then he was a drop.
- 37:12Now he's a guy that you should have on your roster and sell.
- 37:15I'm talking about Nick Schmaltz of the Utah Mammoth.
- 37:19Over the last month, Nick Schmaltz is averaging 1.27
- 37:23points per game point, 2.27 power play points, almost three
- 37:28shots a game and he's averaging 9 faceoff wins a game.
- 37:31This is a right wing eligible player.
- 37:33He has fully taken over the Logan Cooley spot and he's
- 37:36thriving with it right now. He's getting a lot of ice time.
- 37:39He's consistently averaging 19 to 20 minutes a night.
- 37:42I think right now, you know, Utahs lines are working.
- 37:45We're seeing guys like Jack McBain and they don't run
- 37:47through on line 3 succeed. And I think, I think Nick
- 37:50Schmaltz right now is playing with Clayton Keller and they're
- 37:52doing crazy work. And Nick Schmaltz is a guy that
- 37:55early season 2, I think he had a stretch.
- 37:57He's like 1.5 points per game. And people were like he's the
- 37:59pick up of the season. And that lasted for like 3-4
- 38:01weeks. And then he like when zeros for
- 38:04a month and we were like. We still have mentioned Schultz
- 38:07earlier this season. Is he?
- 38:08Is he a Cinderella? Story probably top five top like
- 38:11first five weeks or something Like yeah, it feels inevitable.
- 38:14Yeah. No, I don't think it was like, I
- 38:16don't think it was ever a buy low.
- 38:20He's always just so high, you know, cause nobody wants to buy
- 38:23him when he's low. Yeah.
- 38:26But either way, and I also have playoffs in mind, if you're
- 38:29fantasy fantasy championship is in week 23 and your playoffs for
- 38:32week 21 or 23, like you should be right now trying to move off
- 38:35of your Utah Mammoth players and either get a lateral move or
- 38:39tear up. And I'm always trying to tear up
- 38:41if I can because they have two games in the championship.
- 38:44And you can definitely get a guy that's better with a three or
- 38:47four-game schedule in that week. So right now, I think as the
- 38:49prime opportunity to trade, this does not mean that next in two
- 38:53weeks and we're talking about it, he completely falls off.
- 38:56This just means now is the time to capitalize on a guy that is
- 39:00not playoff optimized, is playing over over his expected
- 39:04production. And with Logan Cooley comes
- 39:06back, it will significantly affect his value negativity,
- 39:10right? That's not in the immediate
- 39:11future, but after the after the Olympic break, it's going to be
- 39:15a dicey situation. And I'm trying to cash in right
- 39:18now, especially with the production.
- 39:19He's doing like almost 1.3 points per game.
- 39:21Nuts. And he has the deployment and
- 39:24the body of work to be able to capitalize on that, in my
- 39:27opinion. So if you can get a guy like
- 39:30Drake Batherson, I would love that.
- 39:32If you can get Jasper Brat, you guys are gonna hate me.
- 39:34We keep talking about Jasper Brat.
- 39:36He is still a billow, guys. I know it's hard to believe he's
- 39:39been so bad for so long. I still believe if he doesn't
- 39:43end up turning around at all, listen, we'll take
- 39:45accountability when that happens.
- 39:46But right now, I still think you need to buy low.
- 39:49I think Connor Bird was in reach.
- 39:50Like he got injured, his value was a little dicey right before
- 39:54he came back as a popping like he was before.
- 39:56I think in a package, most definitely you can get Connor
- 39:58Bedard, Matt Boldy as we speak, he has yet to come back from
- 40:01injury. It's right around the corner.
- 40:02So you might be listening to this, might have played his
- 40:04first game. I still think Matt body is
- 40:06within reach. You're not getting the craziest
- 40:08playoff bump, but I think you're getting a crazy bump in value
- 40:12and I think in a package you could absolutely do that as
- 40:14well. When Nichols.
- 40:16So I love this as a recommendation.
- 40:19He's notoriously streaky and he's not a bad player by any
- 40:22means, but he's, he ends up hovering, you know, in the .9
- 40:27points per game. And those come in like 10 games
- 40:29of insane insanity and then just falling off the face of the
- 40:32earth. And that's a real pain in the
- 40:34behind for fantasy, I'm sure. Meaning that Daniel Booth, Yes.
- 40:41And so hilarious. So as far as your targets go,
- 40:45Batherson and Brat for sure attainable.
- 40:48I think you could do that. But Dard I I just think the
- 40:52owner is going to be too hyped up on what he did at the
- 40:54beginning of the year that they're not gonna be willing to
- 40:56trade. And then and then Boldy.
- 40:59I just think that I think that the tier break may be too two
- 41:05significant thing was like, yeah, I think you're aiming a
- 41:09bit too high with. Body.
- 41:10But what if the dark if it's a package like what if you're
- 41:13doing? I'm trying to think but like
- 41:15bath or something. Yeah.
- 41:18Honestly, I think that'd be too much.
- 41:21Maybe. Now tabled easily.
- 41:24Because I like Ricard, Raquel and and schmaltz for Boldy.
- 41:30I would take Boldy for sure. But I think that that's more
- 41:33feasible, right? I don't know, I'm kind of with
- 41:36the I'm with you on this one. I'm in I'm with Kevin and the
- 41:38fact that Nick Schmaltz is a huge cell high.
- 41:40Love everything he said about that in terms of the target and
- 41:42I'm with Jake in terms of this target analysis.
- 41:44I think Batherson and Brat both attainable Brat, this would be a
- 41:48slam dunk one for one. I mean, I think we're all in
- 41:51agreement. It's not just Kevin, you know,
- 41:52putting his name on the line here.
- 41:54We all think Brad to bounce back even.
- 41:55Though life on the line. OK.
- 41:58Nobody asked him to, by the way, but he's putting his life on the
- 42:00line. Yeah.
- 42:02So I think those are great ones. I just think there's no way
- 42:05anyone treats with Garter Boldy for Nick Schmaltz.
- 42:07I don't even think that. Like I think you have to give a
- 42:10significant plus to to get it done.
- 42:13I don't know. I think baldies like no, but I
- 42:16know. Obviously I prefaced it, there's
- 42:18not one for one in a package, but I'm trying to use schmaltz
- 42:21value right now to tear up to a guy at that level.
- 42:24I don't think schmaltz plus like a lesser plus is enough to get
- 42:27this done. Look, if it is, then I mean like
- 42:32a lot of times people in do pull off trades that were like, I
- 42:35don't know how you pulled that off right.
- 42:36So I think that can get like that.
- 42:37It happens, but I just don't see any way that you can get.
- 42:41I think it's a tear break. Like Jackie said with Darden
- 42:43Boldy are just like we were talking earlier this season
- 42:45before Bedard injury that he was going to be like a first round
- 42:47pick next year. He was at like 1.4 points per
- 42:49game. Bully 2 should be like a top 2
- 42:52rounds, top three round pick with like how usually does
- 42:55especially he's gonna bounce, he's going to come back and he's
- 42:57going on that Minnesota power play.
- 42:58That's just insane. So yeah, I don't know.
- 43:02I just don't see it happening with those ones.
- 43:03I think have a pretty significant plus.
- 43:05But I love the cell high and if you can make it work then do it
- 43:08because it would be sick. Can I give you some other names?
- 43:10You tell me your name like if it's realistic in your mind,
- 43:13like Nicole Hesher. I think you can do that and I
- 43:16would. Do Yeah, OK.
- 43:17What about Tempe? I think that can get done.
- 43:20Bohora. Yeah, I'll do it.
- 43:22Um, horror. That's tough because he just
- 43:24came back from injury. But I would take Corvette over
- 43:25Smoltz if you can and I think it could get done.
- 43:27OK, so these are other names that I was, I was.
- 43:29Like, I like those better. I think they're more realistic.
- 43:31OK, yeah, it's dark out the name value and coffee on like an
- 43:35absolute terror. I mean, I don't, I don't know if
- 43:38you can get Cofield for Schmaltz, but if you can, I
- 43:40definitely prefer Cofield, yeah. OK, you can not like, not from a
- 43:43Habs fan, but yeah, exactly. No.
- 43:47Alright, JQ, why don't you take us home?
- 43:49Country roads. Yes, so they don't make
- 43:54Cinderella UR stories than this. I'm going to talk about Ryan
- 43:58O'Reilly. Manns was on our waiver show as
- 44:02the top choice for like a month straight, and then last week he
- 44:06finally cracked the Top 40 percent, 40%, so we could
- 44:09imagine him anymore. But this last month has been
- 44:12absolutely bananas. What's great for O'Reilly owners
- 44:16is that the production has been consistent, and the 11 games
- 44:19he's played since in January, he has scored in nine of those 11
- 44:24games. Truly, if you picked them up,
- 44:26you're probably coasting right now.
- 44:28So I really hope that no one skipped out on our waiver show
- 44:31from weeks 10 to 16 where we kept pleading with our listeners
- 44:34to pick them up. Consistency goes beyond January,
- 44:38and he's really been on fire since December.
- 44:41But just to focus on the most recent insane surge, in his
- 44:45eleven games of 2026 so far, he has 16 points, and 12 of those
- 44:50came in the last five games. Now we all love O'Reilly, but
- 44:55this is not something young prospect going on an insane
- 44:58surge where we're asking ourselves OK, can this finally
- 45:01be the year O'reilly's 34? We have enough of a sample size
- 45:06of him being an excellent addition to teams in real life,
- 45:08a solid fantasy player disregarding last year, and
- 45:12someone who is a good addition to add depth to your lineup.
- 45:16However, he's never scored a point per game, which is on pace
- 45:20to do this year. What I really like here is that
- 45:23he does carry a solid amount of name value, so I think you can
- 45:27peak a lot of your league mates interest if you send them in a
- 45:29trade. And then the last quick points
- 45:31is that the Preds have been doing way better than we all
- 45:34thought this year. But the battle for the wild card
- 45:36spot is pretty wide open and I don't think that they're going
- 45:40to have a very strong finish regardless.
- 45:43I'm suspecting some negative regression for Ryan O'Reilly,
- 45:46But if the preds do start falling out of the playoff race
- 45:49and he gets traded, which is tough with the Olympic break but
- 45:52still worth mentioning, then there is that's going to be a
- 45:55massive catalyst for a huge dropoff in value and I don't
- 45:59think there's a non zero chance that gets moved at all.
- 46:02I think you may even be able to aim higher than the guys I'm
- 46:05about to mention. But I think that these are
- 46:07reasonable offers and I'm might be worth getting them in return.
- 46:10So for trading O'Reilly, I think you can get back Nico Hischer,
- 46:15Drake Batherson, Zach Hyman, Joel Ericsson, Ek and Kevin's
- 46:20aforementioned Bilo, Adam Fantilli.
- 46:23Yeah, this is this is a great one.
- 46:25I mean, it's like it's true. We pumped, we pumped him every
- 46:28single week we possibly could. He was our number one, not just
- 46:31mentioned on our on our way to our show.
- 46:32He was the number one for like 6 weeks straight.
- 46:35Somehow just would not crack 40% and he just kept being point per
- 46:38game and were like, when is this going to happen?
- 46:40And so we finally can't mention him Angies like no, but we gotta
- 46:43find a way. He's like, it's like how the the
- 46:46turnip from earlier on this season, you know, like just like
- 46:49every episode found a way to like mention him.
- 46:51So so now this is a fantastic cell.
- 46:54Um, look, I think it's like Kevin mentioned earlier.
- 46:57Also, I don't remember this that was this episode or the waiver
- 47:00episode. I think it was the labour
- 47:01episode, but Kevin mentioned that like we do have to probably
- 47:03readjust our expectations of Nashville.
- 47:05I don't think they're as much of A dumpster fire as we all
- 47:08initially thought and thought they were going to go back to
- 47:10immediately. That being said, I don't think
- 47:12they're as good as they've been doing either.
- 47:14I don't think any of us think that.
- 47:15So let's say somewhere in the middle.
- 47:17So no, I fully agree with everything you said in terms of
- 47:19the targets. He sure, I love definitely
- 47:21attainable and I would take him Batherson.
- 47:23I love, I would take him. I think it's attainable.
- 47:25Same with Heyman, same with Ericsson, Ek Chantilly, again,
- 47:28this is like a bit more money. Kevin was saying, I think you
- 47:30get Chantilly plus and I think you should because I I
- 47:33definitely, I definitely like Fantilli as an acquisition.
- 47:36So again, another, another five stars for Jakey.
- 47:39No, no issues on my end. No issues on my end either
- 47:43Jakey. We've got a long way.
- 47:47Yeah, seriously, it was a rough stretch there for a bit, but.
- 47:50Yeah, that's it. That's it.
- 47:52I and I think you know what the fan Tilly one it's it's a really
- 47:55it's a really great buy low recommendation.
- 47:57I I know you could get plus I'm certain of it.
- 48:00But if the manager says no, I'm absolutely not doing that one
- 48:02for one is the best. I still think I take that
- 48:04return. Just getting Fantilli back, you
- 48:07know you want to aim higher. I mean, you're definitely
- 48:09getting a boost in the bangers. That's absolutely for sure.
- 48:12It's just is the points difference of what they're both
- 48:15going to be doing the rest of the season worth that?
- 48:16Yeah, Well, there's no way. Well, final Riley five, I know.
- 48:20There's just no way O'Reilly keeps up this pace.
- 48:23And even if we do reevaluate Nashville as a whole and things
- 48:26like, yeah, maybe there guys are not just like that.
- 48:28I get straight zeros everywhere, right?
- 48:30I don't know if they're going to be doing this.
- 48:32So I, I think if anything, the Olympic break may hinder them
- 48:36because it slows down their momentum.
- 48:37And, yeah, and, you know, they gonna start from scratch and
- 48:40maybe we get close to the trade deadline and then teams start
- 48:42inquiring. Like, listen, like, do you guys
- 48:44think winning the Stanley Cup this year?
- 48:45Do you think you're set up for the future?
- 48:47No, Let us get a Ryan O'Reilly or Steven Stamkos from your
- 48:51team. Right.
- 48:51And if that happens, these guys definitely take a hidden value
- 48:55for what they're doing right now, so.
- 48:57Yeah, yeah, I, I just want to say that this is probably, you
- 49:00know, one of the most, most consequential bylaws.
- 49:03How high is because you got the Olympics in two weeks basically,
- 49:07and then not long after that is the trade deadline.
- 49:11So a lot of these, we mentioned Panera and we mentioned
- 49:14O'Reilly, these are guys on teams that should have a lot of
- 49:20question marks coming up. So I think like blanket
- 49:23statements is that they're both sell highs in their own right.
- 49:26And then if they get moved, it's going to be even more.
- 49:29So way more worried about Ryan O'Reilly than Panera after
- 49:32getting moved. Yeah, like Panera could still be
- 49:34what he's doing. Or Rhino Rally.
- 49:35Yeah, you could completely. Follow up Panera could go to
- 49:37like a 1.2 and like which is or 1.11.2.
- 49:41You're not bummed with that at all but O'Reilly it could be
- 49:44like a .5 points per game. He could literally like.
- 49:47You know, the PowerPoint disappear if he goes somewhere
- 49:50that he's not powerfully one, which is a lot of places.
- 49:52So no, definitely fully agree on that one.
- 49:54Exactly. No buying team is going to want
- 49:56them to be line 1C power play one and then like doing this.
- 49:59And he is an amazing depth player in real life.
- 50:02Like that's like what he's like, that's what he's amazing for,
- 50:05so. He's a middle 16.
- 50:07I actually on most other teams. Yeah, and like the best
- 50:10Middlesex centre you can have, but still a Middlesex centre.
- 50:14So this is just. There's no way this continues.
- 50:16Yeah. All right, I love this.
- 50:19I love this. Let's see, it's two week update.
- 50:21It's gonna be fun. Thank you to everybody for
