Aaron Marsh, the trailblazing Black wide receiver and running back who helped break barriers at Eastern Kentucky University and later played two seasons for the New England Patriots, has passed away at 81. A two-time All-Ohio Valley Conference honoree and First Team All-American, Marsh also made lasting community impacts through youth mentoring and Little League in Compton. Inducted into the EKU Athletics Hall of Fame, he’s remembered as a beloved family man, musician, and model citizen — with a memorial service set for August 29th in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
