- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:05Speaker 2: It's Almost Smith's podcast. We're here today with you and
- 0:08Speaker 2: want to wish you from the bottom of our hearts
- 0:11Speaker 2: a very happy Thanksgiving. Now. For me personally, Thanksgiving is
- 0:17Speaker 2: a very special holiday one because I moved away from
- 0:21Speaker 2: Indiana years ago, thirteen years ago, and so holidays are
- 0:25Speaker 2: always really important because it just means somehow, some way
- 0:29Speaker 2: family is going to get together. This year is my
- 0:32Speaker 2: first year of hosting Thanksgiving, Ashley.
- 0:35Speaker 3: We're doing officially an adult I haven't done it yet.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Well, my parents are coming out to celebrate. We always
- 0:43Speaker 2: love going back to Indiana to be with the aunts
- 0:45Speaker 2: and the uncles and the grandparents. But due to some
- 0:47Speaker 2: family stuff, we're going to be staying in and my
- 0:50Speaker 2: travel schedule this year at the end of the year,
- 0:52Speaker 2: we're gonna be staying here. And I'm doing something that
- 0:56Speaker 2: I think people could find unconventional. You want to hear about.
- 0:58Speaker 4: It ordering dinner in.
- 1:01Speaker 2: No, that's a good idea though. I love to cook
- 1:04Speaker 2: and it's like a very fun thing for me to
- 1:06Speaker 2: do is to host people. And due to our dog
- 1:10Speaker 2: who is lovely and loves us and loves when he
- 1:13Speaker 2: does not love other people very well.
- 1:15Speaker 4: Even your parents.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Loves my parents. Okay, absolutely doores my parents. That's why
- 1:19Speaker 2: they're coming.
- 1:20Speaker 3: No, it's okay. You and I relate on this dog thing.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Like Lois loves the family. But besides the family.
- 1:27Speaker 2: It's impossible, so we can't host very often, or we
- 1:30Speaker 2: just don't because it's hard. We have to lock them up.
- 1:35Speaker 2: I'm doing. I went to Costco and I bought if
- 1:38Speaker 2: nobody's seen this yet for a holiday, and you want
- 1:41Speaker 2: to spend some money, but it's actually a great deal.
- 1:44Speaker 2: You can buy the whole backstrap, like tinderloin, like the
- 1:47Speaker 2: filet of a cow. So I'm doing steaks. I mean
- 1:53Speaker 2: it's like it was like one hundred and twenty bucks,
- 1:54Speaker 2: but we're going to get twelve steaks. Out of her mind, right, Yeah,
- 1:58Speaker 2: that's incredible. Twelve steaks for one hundred and twenty bucks.
- 2:02Speaker 2: What's the worst part of Thanksgiving?
- 2:04Speaker 3: The turkey? The turkey sucks. The sides are awesome.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Nobody wanted it, and so they were like, hey, yeah,
- 2:11Speaker 2: let's order in, let's get pizza, let's just do it.
- 2:12Speaker 2: And I'm like, no, I want to cook. And so
- 2:14Speaker 2: we're doing all the sides. We're doing the mashed potatoes,
- 2:17Speaker 2: we're doing the mac and cheese, we're doing the green beans,
- 2:19Speaker 2: we're doing the salad, we're doing the stuffing. But here's
- 2:21Speaker 2: how I'm going to Here's how I'm going to get
- 2:23Speaker 2: away with this. And I think I actually am very
- 2:25Speaker 2: proud of myself because when somebody asks you, hey, did
- 2:31Speaker 2: you like how is the turkey for Thanksgiving? A response
- 2:34Speaker 2: you don't want to have is I didn't have any.
- 2:37Speaker 2: What I'm doing is I'm making these little bites like
- 2:41Speaker 2: they're almost like the fancy restaurant bites and little like
- 2:44Speaker 2: pastry cups with stuffing, cranberry sauce and turkey.
- 2:48Speaker 5: That's fantastic, so you can say you had it. You're
- 2:51Speaker 5: not lying, but you're not making a whole turkey.
- 2:54Speaker 2: No goodness, gracious, I got like one turkey breast that
- 2:56Speaker 2: I'll like, shave down.
- 2:58Speaker 5: Perfect, Ben, you want to come over?
- 3:01Speaker 4: Can we come over?
- 3:03Speaker 5: Jared loves turkey, and Jared.
- 3:07Speaker 3: Loves the Thanksgiving meal like that is his ultimate favorite
- 3:10Speaker 3: food is a Thanksgiving meal that's wild. And so when
- 3:13Speaker 3: I we ended up getting together, I realized that he
- 3:17Speaker 3: does Thanksgiving legit twice.
- 3:19Speaker 4: And it's both in a month.
- 3:20Speaker 3: A part like why do you make a turkey and
- 3:23Speaker 3: then four weeks later you make a whole other turkey
- 3:26Speaker 3: but you never make a turkey any other time of
- 3:28Speaker 3: the year.
- 3:29Speaker 4: So I was like, Jared, why.
- 3:30Speaker 3: Don't we do like a Christmas hamor for a short
- 3:33Speaker 3: rib or whatever? But he insists that he has the
- 3:37Speaker 3: exact same Thanksgiving meal again on Christmas Day.
- 3:41Speaker 2: Interesting, so we do this Italian Christmas?
- 3:43Speaker 5: Yeah, so I would like to do that too.
- 3:46Speaker 2: Yeah, Like an Italian Christmas is the pasta's, the meats,
- 3:51Speaker 2: the like the best part honestly is like the cheese
- 3:54Speaker 2: and meat board that comes out before like the ANTIPASTI. Yeah,
- 3:58Speaker 2: I could go all year without having a turkey.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Same, I could never have turkey again. The kind of
- 4:04Speaker 3: turkey that I like is the process thin slice stuff
- 4:08Speaker 3: with all the nitrates or whatever at the grocery store,
- 4:11Speaker 3: Like I want a turkey, sup?
- 4:12Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 4:13Speaker 2: A piece of bread.
- 4:14Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 4:15Speaker 2: So that's what we're doing. And here's the cool part.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Our neighborhood does this thing on Thanksgiving because most people
- 4:21Speaker 2: stay here. It's a beautiful time of the year in Colorado.
- 4:24Speaker 2: We have good weather, so our neighborhood does. Starting at
- 4:29Speaker 2: nine thirty am, they do a bloody Merry bar, so
- 4:33Speaker 2: you can go like to certain houses and have a
- 4:36Speaker 2: couple of bloody Marys. And the whole idea is to
- 4:39Speaker 2: like warm you up to then leave at noon to go. Now,
- 4:43Speaker 2: the driver probably wouldn't be consuming, so don't get mad
- 4:46Speaker 2: at me for saying I'm insinuing you should drink a drive.
- 4:49Speaker 2: The driver can stay sober, but the families should come
- 4:52Speaker 2: and have a bloody Mary because then then they're going
- 4:54Speaker 2: to go spend the rest of the day with their families.
- 4:58Speaker 5: Where is it Is it outside?
- 5:00Speaker 2: No, it's at people's houses.
- 5:01Speaker 5: You just go to random people's houses, like you.
- 5:04Speaker 2: There's only a few.
- 5:05Speaker 3: There's designated bloody like like a bloody Mary bar crawl,
- 5:08Speaker 3: but with houses.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:09Speaker 4: Yeah, that's fun. That's fun.
- 5:12Speaker 5: Really like that. That's so neighborly.
- 5:14Speaker 4: I love that.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Yeah. It goes from nine thirty to noon, and then
- 5:17Speaker 2: at noon it stops and everybody like goes to wherever
- 5:20Speaker 2: they need to go and they eat and they do whatever.
- 5:23Speaker 2: It's great.
- 5:24Speaker 3: Wow, that's awesome, Ben, that's really exciting.
- 5:28Speaker 4: So is it just your parents coming?
- 5:30Speaker 2: It's just my parents we're gonna have a great time.
- 5:31Speaker 2: We're gonna go cut down a Christmas tree in Colorado.
- 5:35Speaker 2: It's a really good thing for the environment to go
- 5:39Speaker 2: and cut down a tree that's like had some beetle kill,
- 5:42Speaker 2: which is like a bug out here that kills trees.
- 5:45Speaker 2: So we're gonna go cut down our Christmas tree. The
- 5:46Speaker 2: next day, we're gonna go to an aquarium with Winnie,
- 5:51Speaker 2: Jess and I. You're gonna have a date night when
- 5:53Speaker 2: they're out here. We're like really living things giving up
- 5:55Speaker 2: this year.
- 5:56Speaker 5: That's awesome.
- 5:57Speaker 3: So do you guys have like what's the conversation about
- 6:02Speaker 3: Christmas versus Thanksgiving with your families?
- 6:07Speaker 2: Well, I'm an only child, so it's pretty easy. And
- 6:09Speaker 2: Jess's parents, You're right, Yeah, it's easy for me. And
- 6:14Speaker 2: Jess's parents are so hospitable and I'm very grateful for
- 6:18Speaker 2: this that they've invited my parents to Nashville for Christmas,
- 6:24Speaker 2: and so my parents just come and spend time with
- 6:26Speaker 2: their family. They're Italian, so they're also very welcoming of
- 6:29Speaker 2: like anybody that wants to come, right.
- 6:31Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:32Speaker 2: But then for the last few years we've gone to
- 6:35Speaker 2: Rhode Island. A couple of weeks before Christmas to just
- 6:38Speaker 2: really have a big meal with her family as well.
- 6:41Speaker 2: So we kind of do like is we kind of
- 6:43Speaker 2: go wherever invited. But so far it's never been an issue.
- 6:47Speaker 2: And Thanksgiving is kind of this one off holiday. And
- 6:50Speaker 2: this year I told Jess I was not well, to
- 6:53Speaker 2: be completely honest, about three weeks ago. I was in
- 6:57Speaker 2: the midst of three months of travel, had only been
- 6:59Speaker 2: home like eight days, missed when he missed, Jess missed,
- 7:02Speaker 2: Whalen came home and I was like, hun, I'll be honest,
- 7:06Speaker 2: I can't leave again, Like I'm just really done traveling. Yeah,
- 7:11Speaker 2: And so that's when it decided that we're gonna host Thanksgiving.
- 7:14Speaker 2: We're gonna hang out, and I could not be more
- 7:16Speaker 2: excited for it.
- 7:17Speaker 3: That's so nice, Ben, So you know why I it's
- 7:20Speaker 3: not an only child or having a sibling thing that
- 7:23Speaker 3: prevents that they're like is part of the conversation when
- 7:27Speaker 3: we decide what we're going to do for the holidays.
- 7:29Speaker 3: It's my dad. My dad who will not retire. He
- 7:35Speaker 3: always works. The twenty sixth of December, m this is
- 7:40Speaker 3: a third year in a row that he's the only
- 7:42Speaker 3: time that he ever has off the day after Christmas
- 7:44Speaker 3: if it's it's a weekend because my dad, which he's
- 7:49Speaker 3: very sweet, but it's also getting annoying now that he
- 7:52Speaker 3: has grandchildren. Yeah, he decides to work the week of Christmas,
- 7:58Speaker 3: like legit, the Christmas Eve sometimes and then the twenty
- 8:03Speaker 3: six because he wants his partners who have kids to
- 8:07Speaker 3: be able to be home. Yeah, so that always sucks.
- 8:13Speaker 2: You know what that says about you though, what he
- 8:17Speaker 2: believes that you're you, your mom, your sisters are understanding
- 8:21Speaker 2: enough to be like be the family that takes the sacrifice,
- 8:28Speaker 2: and that you'll love him anyways and that you'll work
- 8:30Speaker 2: around it. And I think that's a huge compliment to you.
- 8:32Speaker 5: Well, well, it's very sweet.
- 8:33Speaker 3: I give him crap for it every year, but of
- 8:36Speaker 3: course I'm glad that kids, you know, the parents who
- 8:39Speaker 3: have little kids are and.
- 8:41Speaker 2: It means a lot that's he's able to do that.
- 8:44Speaker 4: It does.
- 8:44Speaker 2: I think it says a lot about I think it
- 8:46Speaker 2: says a lot about how he sees his family, is
- 8:48Speaker 2: that he sees his family as ones that would be
- 8:51Speaker 2: able to adjust. And I think that's a big deal
- 8:53Speaker 2: for you.
- 8:54Speaker 3: For you, well, yeah, so we have adjusted. That's why
- 8:57Speaker 3: Christmas every year is different. But what we have remained
- 9:02Speaker 3: consistent is that I've never had a Thanksgiving without my family.
- 9:06Speaker 4: Isn't that weird.
- 9:07Speaker 3: We've never done Thanksgiving with Jared's family, but we've always
- 9:10Speaker 3: done Thanksgiving here. And the only Christmas that Jared's never
- 9:14Speaker 3: had his family was last year.
- 9:17Speaker 4: And that was because his sister has moved away. Anyway,
- 9:21Speaker 4: all this is us blend details of my life.
- 9:23Speaker 2: No, it's interesting because I think these are the conversations
- 9:26Speaker 2: that people are having at this time of the year,
- 9:28Speaker 2: or hopefully months before this time of the year, every year,
- 9:31Speaker 2: and there's different ways to do it. I don't think
- 9:33Speaker 2: Jess and I have figured out a perfect combination yet,
- 9:38Speaker 2: we haven't necessarily had to. We usually before kids went
- 9:43Speaker 2: somewhere warm every Christmas, which was great. We loved it,
- 9:48Speaker 2: but it's no longer an option. Right You can't bring
- 9:51Speaker 2: Winnie to the beach necessarily, nor do we really want
- 9:54Speaker 2: to right now. It doesn't make a lot of sense.
- 9:58Speaker 2: So we're figuring out as we go. But this year
- 10:01Speaker 2: we have our plan. We're excited for our plan. My
- 10:03Speaker 2: parents could not be more excited.
- 10:05Speaker 5: To be beach ben.
- 10:06Speaker 3: It's the fact that you want to have a traditional
- 10:09Speaker 3: Christmas day when you have a baby.
- 10:11Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true, right, Like we have snow.
- 10:14Speaker 4: In the opening the presence that morning.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Wouldn't that be fun? Like Mormon cozy. That'd be cool,
- 10:19Speaker 2: that'd be nice. This is Whennie's first Thanksgiving. She is
- 10:33Speaker 2: starting to eat more and more solid foods, cut up
- 10:37Speaker 2: real small. She loves them us, she loves them so much.
- 10:42Speaker 2: She loves me, and we're very excited for that. It's
- 10:46Speaker 2: just gonna be. Honestly, it's gonna be a very chill day.
- 10:49Speaker 2: My family and Jess are big football fans, so I
- 10:53Speaker 2: have a feeling we're gonna do like a four o'clock dinner,
- 10:56Speaker 2: eat a ton of like good steak and sides. I
- 11:00Speaker 2: hope it's all good. And then you can look this up.
- 11:04Speaker 2: This is a restaurant in Indiana, Ashley. This is my
- 11:07Speaker 2: secret weapon. Hopefully nobody in my family listens to it.
- 11:11Speaker 2: There's a salad called the Casa de'angelo salad. It's an
- 11:15Speaker 2: Italian salad that's not really Italian. It's kind of like
- 11:18Speaker 2: you're like olive garden salad.
- 11:20Speaker 3: Huh.
- 11:20Speaker 2: I'm gonna recreate that. It is spectacular and it's a
- 11:24Speaker 2: little Italian restaurant in Indiana. That's so good. So we're
- 11:28Speaker 2: gonna eat and then we're gonna watch football, probably take
- 11:30Speaker 2: big naps and just chill for the rest of eight
- 11:33Speaker 2: It's gonna be very relaxed.
- 11:35Speaker 4: So great.
- 11:36Speaker 3: I'm sure mine will be the exact same. It is
- 11:38Speaker 3: just me, Jared, the kids, my mom, dad, my sister,
- 11:43Speaker 3: and my brother in law, and we will have the
- 11:46Speaker 3: TV on as well. One of our questions here is
- 11:49Speaker 3: do you TV on Thanksgiving or not? And yes, we
- 11:53Speaker 3: have the football on, and but we don't have it
- 11:55Speaker 3: on when we go to the dining room and use
- 11:58Speaker 3: the dining room for like the one meal a year,
- 12:01Speaker 3: what's used for I'm confused.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Some people don't TV. Is that the whole point of this?
- 12:10Speaker 2: I mean Thanksgiving, you know, obviously, like outside of everything else.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Here's how I view Thanksgiving. It is a reason for
- 12:17Speaker 2: family to get together. It is a reason to be
- 12:21Speaker 2: where you're at, to be where your feet are. Bob
- 12:23Speaker 2: Goff told me this once when I was moving and
- 12:26Speaker 2: grooving and traveling all the time. It's like, just when
- 12:28Speaker 2: you're somewhere, be where your feet are. So it's a
- 12:30Speaker 2: day of nothing more than being where your feet are,
- 12:33Speaker 2: eating food, being around people you love, and being cozy
- 12:39Speaker 2: because typically in most places in the United States at least,
- 12:42Speaker 2: it's going to be cold. The idea that there's not
- 12:46Speaker 2: a TV in every household playing the Turkey Games is
- 12:50Speaker 2: crazy to me.
- 12:53Speaker 3: I agree it adds to the cozy vibe.
- 12:59Speaker 2: There's the puppy, there's the NFL games, and then here's
- 13:02Speaker 2: the thing that I still watch. It will be on
- 13:05Speaker 2: as soon as I wake up, The Mazing Parade.
- 13:09Speaker 3: You and Jared are supposed to be best friends, like absolutely,
- 13:13Speaker 3: Jared has to make a point to watch that.
- 13:16Speaker 2: How does Macy's have enough money to keep putting on
- 13:18Speaker 2: his prie?
- 13:18Speaker 3: I wonder all the time about things like department stores.
- 13:24Speaker 2: I don't know how they do it, but I'm happy
- 13:26Speaker 2: they do it.
- 13:26Speaker 3: Oh. I told Jared last year that we could this
- 13:30Speaker 3: year do a New York Thanksgiving and go to the parade,
- 13:35Speaker 3: because it's a dream of his to go to the parade,
- 13:37Speaker 3: and thinks I'd be the kids would love but the kids.
- 13:39Speaker 4: Would love it.
- 13:40Speaker 3: So now I'm going to have to remember this for
- 13:42Speaker 3: next year, really like put it in the back of
- 13:45Speaker 3: my head, like we have to do a family meet
- 13:47Speaker 3: in the middle situation in New York anyway. But before
- 13:50Speaker 3: we wrap up this Thingsgiving episode, I do want to
- 13:52Speaker 3: know what's your favorite Thanksgiving food?
- 13:56Speaker 2: Honestly, uh it is well, I eat fairly healthy, good
- 14:01Speaker 2: for you, I don't it is my one day. There's
- 14:06Speaker 2: more than this. I ate a lot of chips in
- 14:08Speaker 2: my life. I'm a big chip guy.
- 14:09Speaker 5: Me too, big chip I had Masa chips.
- 14:13Speaker 2: No, but I had pound any chip that's.
- 14:15Speaker 3: In front of me. Molly, It's going to change your life.
- 14:18Speaker 3: I think I'm going to send that for you for Christmas.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Yeah, please do. I would pound any bag of chips
- 14:23Speaker 2: in front of me, and I did today. In fact,
- 14:25Speaker 2: at about ten thirty, I ate a whole thing of
- 14:28Speaker 2: chitter and sour cream ruffles and I felt great about it.
- 14:30Speaker 2: I'm a big fan of mac and cheese. It's like
- 14:33Speaker 2: it is my if. It is my favorite. So I
- 14:36Speaker 2: am making the most unhealthy, thick, cheesy, creamy mac and
- 14:43Speaker 2: cheese available to the world for this day, and I'm
- 14:47Speaker 2: going to eat a lot of it.
- 14:48Speaker 3: So you are going to handle everything? Are you going
- 14:51Speaker 3: to be the chef? Jared's going to be the chef.
- 14:52Speaker 3: Jared's going to do the predominant work.
- 14:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll do everything.
- 14:56Speaker 4: Okay, that's great. I do my corn.
- 15:00Speaker 3: It's a slow cooker cream corn. It's the easiest thing
- 15:04Speaker 3: in the entire world. It's like butter and cream cheese
- 15:08Speaker 3: with corn, little salt.
- 15:09Speaker 4: Sit there for like.
- 15:11Speaker 3: Chet little cheddar, little cheddar squares. Yeah, melt it all
- 15:14Speaker 3: together for about three hours.
- 15:15Speaker 4: It's really good.
- 15:15Speaker 2: So it's like mac and cheese with corn.
- 15:17Speaker 4: It literally is macar ese corn. Yes.
- 15:21Speaker 3: And then Jared actually, well, Jared does the turkey for sure,
- 15:25Speaker 3: for sure every year now because my dad.
- 15:28Speaker 4: It's making these.
- 15:30Speaker 2: Or smoke it oven it oh oven. It interesting. The
- 15:35Speaker 2: new thing is the fryer.
- 15:36Speaker 3: I kind of feel like, where would the heck do
- 15:39Speaker 3: would you put that?
- 15:40Speaker 4: Though?
- 15:40Speaker 5: You have to like make a fryer in your backyard?
- 15:42Speaker 2: Yeah, you put it outside. You buy a fryer. It's
- 15:45Speaker 2: the big thing in Indiana. It's the big thing out
- 15:47Speaker 2: here now in Colorado. Is I'm sure it's better you
- 15:50Speaker 2: buy the fryer and you stick that turkey in there,
- 15:53Speaker 2: and it is. You drink a couple of beers as
- 15:55Speaker 2: you stand around the fryer and watch that turkey sizzle.
- 15:58Speaker 2: It's great.
- 15:58Speaker 4: For how long does it have to be there.
- 16:00Speaker 2: No, it's I mean, it's a while, but it's not hard.
- 16:04Speaker 2: It's like the easiest way to cook it. But it's
- 16:07Speaker 2: definitely the tasty it. It gets that crunchy.
- 16:09Speaker 3: Outside nice because every year it's like, yeah, you did
- 16:13Speaker 3: a good job with the turkey.
- 16:14Speaker 4: Baby, It's just like turkey is so even if chicken
- 16:18Speaker 4: would honestly excite me more.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Tell him to start frying. It is a cool party
- 16:23Speaker 2: trick too. If nobody there is like down to do
- 16:25Speaker 2: it but him, the coolest thing for him to do
- 16:28Speaker 2: as a dad. This is the world I'm like moving into.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Is you like put the frey in the driveway, you
- 16:35Speaker 2: get the grease going. You stand out there with the cooler.
- 16:38Speaker 2: A couple of the neighbors who are doing the same
- 16:39Speaker 2: thing come over and they talk to you as your
- 16:41Speaker 2: turkey's cooking and their cook turkey's cooking. You talk about
- 16:45Speaker 2: whatever game's on today. You're you know, you know, elbowing
- 16:50Speaker 2: it up. It's great. So it's a good life.
- 16:52Speaker 5: Ark Christmas vacation right there, it's a good life, Clark Griswold.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Yeah, it's who I want to be, Ashley in you
- 17:00Speaker 2: know what, he gets a bonus on Thanksgiving or on Christmas,
- 17:03Speaker 2: which is a big deal because I work for myself
- 17:04Speaker 2: and so I'd love to give myself a bonus. It's
- 17:08Speaker 2: a great time of the year, Ashley. I think we
- 17:12Speaker 2: close this show with saying one thing you're grateful for
- 17:15Speaker 2: in twenty twenty five.
- 17:17Speaker 3: Well, it's just really boring, but it's very true, and
- 17:20Speaker 3: I'm just so grateful that I have just all my family, happy.
- 17:26Speaker 4: Healthy and safe. Every year it's the same thing. But
- 17:29Speaker 4: it's as long as you got that, you're rich.
- 17:33Speaker 2: You're rich. You're rich kid. I mean, obviously this year
- 17:36Speaker 2: has been the most incredible year. In February when he
- 17:40Speaker 2: was born. There is not a night that goes by
- 17:44Speaker 2: in my life. And I don't want to like over
- 17:48Speaker 2: spiritualize this that I don't go to bed and go
- 17:50Speaker 2: how in the world did I get here?
- 17:52Speaker 4: Exactly, Like, how do we get so lucky? It's like unreal,
- 17:55Speaker 4: I know.
- 17:55Speaker 2: Same, So I am so thankful for my daughter, my dog,
- 18:00Speaker 2: my wife, my family, her family. Like the show that
- 18:06Speaker 2: keeps going and going and going and going and going,
- 18:09Speaker 2: exactly are things. Things aren't perfect by any means, but
- 18:16Speaker 2: this time of year helps me take a step back
- 18:18Speaker 2: and go. But things are good, and I hope, I
- 18:22Speaker 2: hope for everybody out there. I know it's not always
- 18:24Speaker 2: that things are good. I know it's sometimes a tough
- 18:28Speaker 2: time of the year. Ashley and myself recognize that the
- 18:32Speaker 2: holidays often bring up all sorts of emotions.
- 18:35Speaker 3: I don't even like have any sense of like lost
- 18:39Speaker 3: wrong of holidays or whatnot, but I can still in
- 18:42Speaker 3: the energy feel it for others exactly.
- 18:45Speaker 2: So here's the message. If you're listening, you have breath,
- 18:50Speaker 2: and if you have breath, you matter, and we hope
- 18:54Speaker 2: this holiday season it's either you soaking in all the
- 18:59Speaker 2: good news or here's another option, maybe it's you giving
- 19:04Speaker 2: some goodness to others around you. Either way, Happy Thanksgiving,
- 19:11Speaker 2: Happy Holidays. Thank you for listening. We have a big,
- 19:14Speaker 2: big year ahead.
- 19:16Speaker 4: Ben, You're the best. You really have to be a minister.
- 19:19Speaker 2: I'm grateful for you, Ashley.
- 19:21Speaker 3: Ben, it's a given. I'm gonna have to say it
- 19:23Speaker 3: out laughing. So grateful for you.
- 19:26Speaker 5: We love you.
