Latest / Solomonster Sounds Off / WWE Smackdown 9/12/25 Review | Cody Rhodes RETURNS And Brock Lesnar SPLITS HIS PANTS!
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: You know, after a last week's show, I had enough
- 0:03Speaker 1: sense to Ashley use my VPN for SmackDown tonight, which
- 0:06Speaker 1: made it more tolerable during some of the matches, so
- 0:09Speaker 1: that way I didn't have to deal with commercial palooza
- 0:12Speaker 1: like we did on SmackDown last week. Tonight, we got
- 0:16Speaker 1: to talk about a few things. We got to talk
- 0:17Speaker 1: about the return of the WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes. We
- 0:20Speaker 1: have not seen Cody in many weeks since McIntyre gave
- 0:24Speaker 1: him a Claymore kick in the bottom part of the
- 0:26Speaker 1: announced table apparently that killed him dead. We haven't seen
- 0:29Speaker 1: Cody since. So there he was tonight, guile in all
- 0:33Speaker 1: his presence back on SMACKDOWD and the match has been
- 0:36Speaker 1: made for Russell Poluza next weekend. It will be Cody
- 0:38Speaker 1: Rhoades defending the WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre. That was
- 0:43Speaker 1: coming off the Randy Orton. Drew McIntyre made event that
- 0:46Speaker 1: we had here of this show, which was solid enough.
- 0:49Speaker 1: I didn't think it was a great main event, but
- 0:51Speaker 1: it was solid enough. We had two championship matches on
- 0:54Speaker 1: this show. We had one match that was anything but solid.
- 0:56Speaker 1: We had one championship match that was tremendous between Sammy
- 1:00Speaker 1: Zain and Ray Phoenix in the US Title Open Challenge.
- 1:05Speaker 1: This is a match that you should go out of
- 1:07Speaker 1: your way to see. If there's one thing from SmackDown
- 1:10Speaker 1: Tonight that I would say you need to go out
- 1:12Speaker 1: of your way to watch, that would be it. The
- 1:15Speaker 1: other championship match that we had on this show was
- 1:18Speaker 1: for the WWE Women's Championship between Tiffany Stratton and Jade
- 1:21Speaker 1: Car gild And while I cannot heap the same amount
- 1:25Speaker 1: of praise on that match, it was not a bad match.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Actually I thought it was slightly better than the match
- 1:30Speaker 1: they had at Summer Slim, which was not a bad
- 1:32Speaker 1: match either. But we had no resolution to their issue.
- 1:35Speaker 1: We had no winner decided, but Naya Jacks was the
- 1:38Speaker 1: last woman standing when it was all said and done.
- 1:41Speaker 1: So we are heading towards a triple threat match very
- 1:45Speaker 1: soon for the Women's Championship. A very very weak top
- 1:48Speaker 1: of the division right now. I don't know what's going
- 1:51Speaker 1: on with the top of the SmackDown Women's division. The championship,
- 1:54Speaker 1: the main title, very very weak, especially when you compare
- 1:58Speaker 1: to what's going on on the off side right now.
- 2:02Speaker 1: They really need Bianca bell airback as quickly as possible,
- 2:05Speaker 1: and even getting Bianca back, there's work to be done. Yeah,
- 2:09Speaker 1: because you have Charlotte and Alexa, they're off doing the
- 2:11Speaker 1: tag team thing and beyonc has been out for months
- 2:14Speaker 1: ever since WrestleMania. It really shows that we are now
- 2:19Speaker 1: back to Tiffany Stratton and Nya Jackson again with a
- 2:22Speaker 1: little bit of Jade car Gill thrown in there, so
- 2:25Speaker 1: that part of it is not great. Brock Lesner was
- 2:28Speaker 1: also promoted for this show tonight now John Cena. John
- 2:31Speaker 1: Cena is done with SmackDown. You are never going to
- 2:33Speaker 1: see him on SmackDown for the rest of this retirement run.
- 2:36Speaker 1: We'll see him on Raw this coming Monday. But we
- 2:39Speaker 1: had brock Lesnar on the show tonight. Now, if you
- 2:41Speaker 1: have brock Lesnar on the show but no John Cena,
- 2:44Speaker 1: it stands to reason that if brock is going to
- 2:45Speaker 1: do anything, he's not going to be attacking random people.
- 2:49Speaker 1: You would hope that, you know, we've got brock Lesner
- 2:51Speaker 1: coming out and talking about why he's been going around
- 2:54Speaker 1: kicking this guy's ass. Maybe we'll get some sort of
- 2:57Speaker 1: explanation for why why Now, Is it just that he
- 3:01Speaker 1: wanted to give him one last ass kicking before Seena
- 3:03Speaker 1: calls it a day and signs off and rides off
- 3:05Speaker 1: into the sunset. I'm still wondering what the answer to
- 3:09Speaker 1: that question is because we didn't get an explanation tonight.
- 3:12Speaker 1: We didn't get much of anything from Brocklesner except a
- 3:16Speaker 1: very memorable moment. And look, this shit happens on live TV.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Sometimes you don't want to be the person that it
- 3:22Speaker 1: happens to. If you're brock Lesner, you just sort of
- 3:24Speaker 1: laugh it off. Right, Who's going to make fun of
- 3:26Speaker 1: brock Lesner and point and mock him and you know,
- 3:30Speaker 1: do anything other than just laugh along with him. Uh.
- 3:34Speaker 1: We saw more of Brocklesner at the end of that
- 3:36Speaker 1: segment than I care to see. And when there is
- 3:39Speaker 1: a wardrobe malfunction, that is the most newsworthy part of
- 3:43Speaker 1: a Brocklesner segment. That tells you there wasn't a whole
- 3:46Speaker 1: hell of a lot to that brock Lesner segment. But
- 3:49Speaker 1: that is what we had here on SmackDown Tonight. Now,
- 3:52Speaker 1: for all of the goings on and happenings here on
- 3:56Speaker 1: SmackDown Tonight, the big news of the day, and I'm
- 3:59Speaker 1: not going to do on this because I'm going to
- 4:01Speaker 1: save this for the sound off on Sunday, but the
- 4:04Speaker 1: big news of the day, and they promoted it here
- 4:06Speaker 1: on the show tonight, the big announcement that Triple H
- 4:10Speaker 1: was teasing the other day. Triple H was dropping these
- 4:12Speaker 1: hints on Twitter about changing the game, some sort of
- 4:15Speaker 1: game changing announcement that there was going to be today,
- 4:18Speaker 1: and we already knew what it was going to be
- 4:20Speaker 1: because it leaked. It leaked a couple of days early,
- 4:23Speaker 1: and it was exactly what we expected it to be.
- 4:25Speaker 1: At three o'clock this afternoon in Las Vegas, which is
- 4:27Speaker 1: where WWE is right now for Worlds Collide, which is
- 4:30Speaker 1: happening as we speak, they made the announcement that Saudi
- 4:35Speaker 1: Arabia will play host to WrestleMania forty three coming up
- 4:40Speaker 1: in twenty twenty seven, and they had a bunch of
- 4:44Speaker 1: stars on the dais there. They had Sean Michaels, and
- 4:46Speaker 1: they had The Undertaker, and they had Bianca bel Air,
- 4:49Speaker 1: and they had Charlotte Flair and Seth Rollins and Logan Paul,
- 4:52Speaker 1: and they had Live Morgan, who we haven't seen in
- 4:54Speaker 1: many months, and she looked like she would rather be
- 4:56Speaker 1: anywhere but where she was. But they had them all
- 4:58Speaker 1: lined up. Triple H comes out and they made the
- 5:01Speaker 1: announcement WrestleMania, not Super WrestleMania, not the greatest WrestleMania, WrestleMania
- 5:07Speaker 1: itself will be coming to Saudi Arabia in twenty twenty seven.
- 5:11Speaker 1: And look, whatever your opinion may be of that news,
- 5:16Speaker 1: and there was a lot of opinions, a lot of
- 5:18Speaker 1: divided opinion about that announcement. Might also depend on where
- 5:22Speaker 1: you live in the world. Forgetting that for a second,
- 5:27Speaker 1: I made a comment on Twitter after the announcement was
- 5:32Speaker 1: initially made and the event was still ongoing, and I
- 5:35Speaker 1: made a comment to the effect of still waiting for
- 5:38Speaker 1: this quote unquote game changing announcement to be made. Maybe
- 5:42Speaker 1: it'll be made at the end of the event, And
- 5:44Speaker 1: it never was, because that's how Triple H couched it,
- 5:48Speaker 1: you know, on social media the day before. Now I'm
- 5:50Speaker 1: just wondering, you know, where, where's the game changing part
- 5:53Speaker 1: of this announcement? And if I tell you all of
- 5:57Speaker 1: the dumb shits that came out of the woodwork that
- 6:02Speaker 1: we're leaving comments under this tweet all throughout the afternoon.
- 6:06Speaker 1: It would make your head spin. And one thing I
- 6:09Speaker 1: learned very clearly today on social media and specifically X,
- 6:13Speaker 1: is that people on that platform have the reading comprehension
- 6:17Speaker 1: of a pineapple. So let me break it down very
- 6:20Speaker 1: succinctly here for the people who dropped out of school,
- 6:23Speaker 1: which was most of the ones that had to interact
- 6:25Speaker 1: with today. I was making a comment about the so
- 6:29Speaker 1: called game changing nature of the announcement and if you
- 6:31Speaker 1: want to dispute that, and you think it was a
- 6:33Speaker 1: game changing announcement because oh my god, Wrestlemane is leaving
- 6:36Speaker 1: North America for the first time. I had a lot
- 6:38Speaker 1: of people saying, oh, Wrestlemani is going international for the
- 6:41Speaker 1: first time, which is not true, blatantly not true. But okay,
- 6:46Speaker 1: if you want to make that your your argument, well,
- 6:49Speaker 1: it's game changing for this reason. It's game changing for
- 6:51Speaker 1: that reason. It's a matter of semantics here, we're playing
- 6:54Speaker 1: with words. Okay. I don't look at it as a
- 6:56Speaker 1: game changing thing for a variety of reasons that I
- 6:58Speaker 1: will get into on Sunday, but we could have that
- 7:01Speaker 1: difference of opinion. What I don't like is when people
- 7:03Speaker 1: read something that clearly isn't there, and they manufacture some
- 7:07Speaker 1: message or narrative in their head that doesn't exist. So
- 7:10Speaker 1: if I tell you how many messages I had to
- 7:12Speaker 1: sift through today, sifting through message after message, people who
- 7:16Speaker 1: read that tweet, who turned it into oh, well, if
- 7:20Speaker 1: you don't like it, then don't watch it, or oh
- 7:24Speaker 1: you must hate the people in this part of the world.
- 7:26Speaker 1: They're oh, if you hate this so much, And I'm like,
- 7:30Speaker 1: again the reading comprehension of a pineapple, I'm like, what
- 7:34Speaker 1: exactly are you talking about? Where in what I wrote?
- 7:38Speaker 1: Are you getting this? Like? Where is this coming from?
- 7:42Speaker 1: I couldn't understand. It didn't make any sense to me.
- 7:47Speaker 1: Just dumb shit message after dumb shit message after dumb
- 7:51Speaker 1: shit message. It was unbelievable. Wrestling fans, yeah, really showing
- 7:57Speaker 1: their ass today on social media. So that was the
- 8:02Speaker 1: nature of what I was dealing with coming out of
- 8:05Speaker 1: this big, big announcement, this big event that they held
- 8:08Speaker 1: earlier today. This was not a surprising announcement. Nobody should
- 8:12Speaker 1: be surprised by this announcement. They have had a relationship
- 8:16Speaker 1: with Saudi Arabia now for over seven years. They have
- 8:20Speaker 1: hosted countless events at fifty million dollars a pop. Right,
- 8:26Speaker 1: and I'm sure they're going to extend that relationship when
- 8:28Speaker 1: it comes up. It was a ten year deal when
- 8:30Speaker 1: they signed it, and it started in twenty eighteen, so
- 8:33Speaker 1: you do the math. Something like this was inevitable for
- 8:37Speaker 1: the money that they are paying for these sporting events.
- 8:40Speaker 1: And it's not just wrestling. You know, there's boxing events,
- 8:43Speaker 1: and there could be mixed martial arts events. It's all
- 8:45Speaker 1: kinds of events. For the money that they're doling out, right,
- 8:48Speaker 1: they have lived, golf, all this stuff, it was inevitable
- 8:51Speaker 1: that they were going to get a wrestle media. They
- 8:53Speaker 1: got the Royal Rumble. They're going to be in Saudi
- 8:55Speaker 1: for the Royal Rumble in January. We now have a
- 8:58Speaker 1: date on that, by the way, January thirty first, So
- 9:00Speaker 1: that much we know. So WrestleMania was only a matter
- 9:04Speaker 1: of time. I'm not surprised by it. There's gonna be
- 9:07Speaker 1: a lot of people who are very upset because they
- 9:09Speaker 1: go to WrestleMania every year and now they can't because
- 9:11Speaker 1: they're not going to fly to Saudi Arabia, or because
- 9:13Speaker 1: they simply are not going to be able to afford
- 9:15Speaker 1: that trip. You think prices in Las Vegas for this
- 9:18Speaker 1: year's WrestleMania and next year's WrestleMania are wild. What do
- 9:21Speaker 1: you think those prices are going to look like in
- 9:23Speaker 1: Saudi in twenty twenty seven. There's gonna be a lot
- 9:27Speaker 1: of people who make WrestleMania their destination vacation every year
- 9:30Speaker 1: who now are not going to be able to go
- 9:32Speaker 1: have every right to be upset. On the other hand,
- 9:35Speaker 1: there's also a lot of fans who live over there
- 9:37Speaker 1: in that part of the world, or are specifically in
- 9:39Speaker 1: Saudi Arabia, including people who listen to the podcast who
- 9:41Speaker 1: I interact with on a regular basis, who I know
- 9:43Speaker 1: are going to be very happy that they get to
- 9:45Speaker 1: go to WrestleMania for the first time, and I'm happy
- 9:47Speaker 1: for them. So again, I'll get into the nuts and
- 9:50Speaker 1: bolts of this when we talk about it on Sunday,
- 9:52Speaker 1: because I also think there is opportunity here moving WrestleMania
- 9:57Speaker 1: out of the United States overseas, which is by the way,
- 10:00Speaker 1: going to be airing in a completely, you know, different
- 10:03Speaker 1: time zone. So depending on where you are, Wrestlemanti is
- 10:06Speaker 1: going to be airing a lot earlier in the day.
- 10:08Speaker 1: It presents opportunity for others, which I will get into
- 10:14Speaker 1: talk about SmackDown. This is your SmackDown review. It is
- 10:16Speaker 1: Friday night. It is September twelve, twenty twenty five. I
- 10:20Speaker 1: am the Solemn Monster. I want to point out something
- 10:23Speaker 1: else we had yesterday. I actually pushed it out last night,
- 10:28Speaker 1: A brand new retro episode of the SoundOff, and this
- 10:33Speaker 1: one is going back aways. Yes, the lost episodes are back.
- 10:39Speaker 1: I have not uploaded an older episode in quite some time.
- 10:42Speaker 1: I intend to do more. Get back on that horse.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Episode fourteen of the SoundOff from February of two thousand
- 10:51Speaker 1: and eight is up right now. If you are a
- 10:55Speaker 1: Legends Tier Channel member, so on my sound Up Channel members,
- 10:58Speaker 1: if you are on the Legends Tea, you have access
- 11:01Speaker 1: to that episode. It is up for you right now,
- 11:03Speaker 1: with more to come. Talking about a whole bunch of
- 11:07Speaker 1: things in that episode. Whatever was going on in the
- 11:09Speaker 1: world of wrestling back in February of two thousand and eight.
- 11:13Speaker 1: That's what I'm sounding off on. So if he didn't
- 11:15Speaker 1: get the notification, just be aware of that. It is
- 11:18Speaker 1: up right now, and again I'm gonna be working to
- 11:22Speaker 1: get episode fifteen up very soon. So if you are
- 11:26Speaker 1: not a channel member on that Legends tier, now is
- 11:28Speaker 1: a good chance to take advantage of that and get
- 11:32Speaker 1: in the party. All right, let's get into this SmackDown
- 11:35Speaker 1: show here. Because we had a different announced crew for
- 11:39Speaker 1: tonight's show. We had the NXT crew, Vic, Joseph and
- 11:43Speaker 1: Booker t They took over the announcing duties for tonight's show.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Corey Graves was on the call in Vegas for the
- 11:49Speaker 1: Triple A World's Collide show, and Michael Cole, based on
- 11:53Speaker 1: some of the recent performances he's had, he could use
- 11:55Speaker 1: a few days off. He could probably use a few
- 11:58Speaker 1: weeks off, so I didn't have any issue with him
- 12:01Speaker 1: rotating the NXT crew in there. After replaying what happened
- 12:05Speaker 1: last week where brock Lesner attacked John Sena and Sammy's
- 12:08Speaker 1: Ain after the match for the United States Championship, brock
- 12:12Speaker 1: Lesner open this week's show. Brock Lesner is in the
- 12:15Speaker 1: main event. He is closing the show at Wressell Palooza.
- 12:19Speaker 1: That's what Joe Tessitor confirmed on ESPN today. I think
- 12:22Speaker 1: we already figured that was going to be the main event,
- 12:24Speaker 1: but it is confirmed. John Cena versus brock Lesner will
- 12:27Speaker 1: be headlining Wressell Palooza next weekend. Brock Lesner comes out
- 12:32Speaker 1: to cheers, but when he gets in the ring and
- 12:35Speaker 1: they stop his music, we hear chants of you suck
- 12:40Speaker 1: directed at Brock. Before he could say a word, he
- 12:43Speaker 1: didn't even get a word out. Our truths music hid
- 12:48Speaker 1: and Our Truth comes out and he wraps his way
- 12:50Speaker 1: to the ring. What's up? What's up? Right? I mean
- 12:54Speaker 1: it's like I mean, if you would have pushed a
- 12:55Speaker 1: button and taking you back to two thousand and twelve,
- 12:58Speaker 1: twenty nineteen, twenty twenty three, it's the same. Our Truth.
- 13:03Speaker 1: He comes out, he wraps his way down to the
- 13:05Speaker 1: ring and into the ring and he says, I'll tell
- 13:10Speaker 1: you what's up, and Brock cuts him off immediately and says,
- 13:13Speaker 1: man shut up. Truth said that he was going to
- 13:17Speaker 1: be the first WWE superstar to say Brock welcome back,
- 13:22Speaker 1: and Brock laughed. Truth said that he's he used to
- 13:25Speaker 1: be scared of him, but he's not scared of him
- 13:27Speaker 1: no more. And Brock said, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa whoa.
- 13:30Speaker 1: I don't even know who you are, and you better
- 13:33Speaker 1: have a damn good reason for coming out here and
- 13:35Speaker 1: interrupting me. Truth said that Brock's been disrespecting his childhood hero,
- 13:41Speaker 1: John Cena for the past twenty five years. Brock asked him,
- 13:47Speaker 1: how old are you? He's older than Brock. They tell
- 13:51Speaker 1: you that he's older than Brock. He might not look
- 13:55Speaker 1: like it, but he's older than Brock. He goes, how
- 13:58Speaker 1: old are you? And what is your name? So Truth
- 14:01Speaker 1: told him, and he said that he's done with the disrespect.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Brock said, he's here for one thing tonight. I'm looking
- 14:07Speaker 1: for John Cena. Do you know where John Cena is tonight?
- 14:12Speaker 1: Truth told him that he doesn't. Brock wanted to know again,
- 14:15Speaker 1: why are you in the ring right now? I had
- 14:18Speaker 1: the same question watching this, And Truth told him he
- 14:21Speaker 1: was here to defend his older brother, John Cena, and
- 14:26Speaker 1: your name is our Truth, And Truth said his name
- 14:30Speaker 1: was Ron Sena. He's got a Ron Sena chan. So
- 14:36Speaker 1: you don't know where John is? No, I don't, And
- 14:41Speaker 1: so why are you here right now? I felt like
- 14:43Speaker 1: I was in some sort of like infinite loop watching this,
- 14:46Speaker 1: like are we gonna move the conversation alog here? We
- 14:48Speaker 1: just gonna repeat ourselves over and over again. So he goes,
- 14:53Speaker 1: I'm here to stop the disrespect. Brock John Cena is
- 14:56Speaker 1: built different. He went crazy this year. He made a
- 14:59Speaker 1: little kid cry, super Sena is coming for you, dog.
- 15:03Speaker 1: And he's fueled by hustle, loyalty, respect, and two drops
- 15:08Speaker 1: of those kids tears. So he won't be running from
- 15:12Speaker 1: the beast, he'll be feeding on him. And you're his
- 15:17Speaker 1: brother from another mother, says Brock says, no, we got
- 15:23Speaker 1: the same daddy, ah comedy. Do you know that you're
- 15:29Speaker 1: missing a tooth? He said, And before Truth could even
- 15:32Speaker 1: answer him, he scooped him up on his shoulders and
- 15:35Speaker 1: he gave him an F five. And this was all
- 15:38Speaker 1: a colossal waste of time. But in giving him the
- 15:41Speaker 1: F five, when Brock popped back up to his feet,
- 15:46Speaker 1: he had split his pants, the back of his pants
- 15:49Speaker 1: right down his ass crack. I mean, it wasn't like
- 15:53Speaker 1: a little He split his fucking jeens. Okay, these weren't
- 15:57Speaker 1: some flimsy, you know, shitty pants that he was wearing.
- 16:01Speaker 1: He was out there wearing jeans and somehow I don't
- 16:04Speaker 1: even know how you do that, honestly, but he split
- 16:07Speaker 1: his jeans and like the way he jumped up, it
- 16:10Speaker 1: was almost like his underwear rode up into his ass
- 16:13Speaker 1: crack or something, and he immediately realized and he starts laughing,
- 16:17Speaker 1: and you could see him he's kind of mouthing the words,
- 16:19Speaker 1: I ripped my pads. And then he bends over because
- 16:24Speaker 1: now he's like in his head, he's like, Okay, I
- 16:26Speaker 1: gotta I gotta roll with the punches here. How do
- 16:28Speaker 1: I how do I handle this? Right? So he bends
- 16:31Speaker 1: over to uh to moon everybody full moon. You could
- 16:36Speaker 1: see his blue underwear. I know that you know you
- 16:39Speaker 1: watch for these details here. So then he danced a
- 16:43Speaker 1: little jig. It's been a while since between Brock dance,
- 16:46Speaker 1: remember Mariachi Brock from many years ago. So he dances
- 16:50Speaker 1: a little bit in the ring as he's trying to
- 16:51Speaker 1: figure out what to do here, and then he leaves
- 16:54Speaker 1: the ring and as he's walking down the aisle, he's
- 16:57Speaker 1: looking directly into the camera and he tells Stu the Hammerman.
- 17:00Speaker 1: He goes, fucking stew I ripped my pants. Blue underwear,
- 17:05Speaker 1: he said, and he smacked hands with the fans like
- 17:09Speaker 1: he was a fucking baby face. As he walked to
- 17:12Speaker 1: the back, Brock ripping his pants. He was wearing Batista's
- 17:19Speaker 1: skinny jeans. Maybe so, maybe so, but still when to
- 17:24Speaker 1: rip your pants is one thing. To rip your jeans though,
- 17:28Speaker 1: Like that's impressive. Brock ripping his pants was the only
- 17:33Speaker 1: entertaining thing about this segment outside of that this was
- 17:35Speaker 1: a gigantic waste of time instead of actually hearing anything
- 17:40Speaker 1: of substance from brock Lesner, who was headlining this first
- 17:43Speaker 1: big ESPN event, right, this first this first big pl
- 17:48Speaker 1: e on ESPN technically ESPN Unlimited, that's the name of
- 17:53Speaker 1: the app. Instead of giving us any sort of real
- 17:56Speaker 1: promo or explanation as to why this has been going
- 17:59Speaker 1: on lie lately, what we got here was campy Vince
- 18:03Speaker 1: McMahon comedy with him. In truth, I don't know what
- 18:10Speaker 1: the point of that was. I mean, some fans had
- 18:13Speaker 1: a nice laugh about it, okay, I mean it's an
- 18:16Speaker 1: interesting choice taking this story, this storyline, this angle of
- 18:21Speaker 1: all things and turning it into comedy. The real comedy, though,
- 18:24Speaker 1: was one Brock split his pants. That was the most
- 18:26Speaker 1: entertaining part of the entire segment, and that was the
- 18:28Speaker 1: last time we saw brock Lesner for the rest of
- 18:30Speaker 1: this show. I don't even know why they bothered even
- 18:34Speaker 1: having him show up. Why even waste the brock lesnar
- 18:38Speaker 1: appearance on this show if that's all you're gonna do
- 18:40Speaker 1: with him. That's how they opened the show. After this,
- 18:46Speaker 1: we had a vignette from Solo Socoa where he expressed
- 18:51Speaker 1: anger he's by himself. We didn't see the other MFTs.
- 18:55Speaker 1: He expressed anger about having lost his bloodline, he lost
- 18:59Speaker 1: his Ulafalla, he lost his United States championship. I was
- 19:03Speaker 1: waiting for him to say that he lost his smile
- 19:05Speaker 1: as well, but he never said that. He vowed to
- 19:09Speaker 1: take back what he lost, said that he lived in
- 19:11Speaker 1: the shadows of others for far too long and it
- 19:13Speaker 1: was time for others to live in the shadow of
- 19:15Speaker 1: him and his family tree. The MFTs, I will say this,
- 19:21Speaker 1: they definitely don't live in the shadows. I mean, they
- 19:23Speaker 1: get at least what three or four segments on the
- 19:26Speaker 1: show on most weeks. I'd like to banish them to
- 19:29Speaker 1: the shadow realm for a while. They certainly aren't living
- 19:33Speaker 1: in the shadows. I'll say that. In the back, Sammy's
- 19:37Speaker 1: aim was talking to his latest challenger in the US
- 19:43Speaker 1: Title Open Challenge. They kept the camera on Sammy, so
- 19:45Speaker 1: we couldn't see at first who he was interacting with,
- 19:50Speaker 1: but he said they're gonna have a hell of a
- 19:51Speaker 1: match and he was looking forward to it. The camera
- 19:54Speaker 1: panned over to show Ray Phoenix. Yes, the forgotten Lucha
- 19:58Speaker 1: bro At least Pent actually gets television time on Monday.
- 20:02Speaker 1: I can't say the same for Ray Phoenix, but he
- 20:05Speaker 1: was there tonight and he shook hands with Sammy, and
- 20:09Speaker 1: Sammy left and that led to our first match of
- 20:11Speaker 1: the night, the best match of the night, the only
- 20:14Speaker 1: match of the night that you really need to pay
- 20:16Speaker 1: any attention to. Sammy's ain defending the United States Championship
- 20:20Speaker 1: in this open challenge against Ray Phoenix. No booze for
- 20:24Speaker 1: Sammy this week. I was waiting to see what the
- 20:27Speaker 1: reaction would be. He was booed a lot in Chicago
- 20:29Speaker 1: last week, and I just couldn't really understand why, and
- 20:34Speaker 1: I figured it, if anything, I mean, it had more
- 20:36Speaker 1: to do with just a very pro John Cena crowd
- 20:39Speaker 1: in Chicago, and anybody who would have come out of
- 20:41Speaker 1: that situation, or almost anybody probably would have been booed.
- 20:45Speaker 1: It's the only thing I could really come up with.
- 20:47Speaker 1: And so he comes out tonight, I said, that will
- 20:50Speaker 1: be the test to see if that carries over into
- 20:53Speaker 1: other cities, and it did not, so there were no
- 20:57Speaker 1: booze for Sammy's ain tonight, although oh, I will say
- 21:00Speaker 1: they went to commercial ninety seconds into this match, and
- 21:03Speaker 1: during the break the crowd did start a very loud
- 21:05Speaker 1: let's go Phoenix chant, but that's different than booing Sammy.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Coming out of the break, Sammy hit a beautiful tilted
- 21:14Speaker 1: whirl backbreaker that only got him a two count. Phoenix
- 21:17Speaker 1: then countered out of a blue thunderbomb with a head
- 21:19Speaker 1: scissors into a pin only for two. After that, a
- 21:23Speaker 1: super kick buckled Sammy Phoenix fell down on top of him,
- 21:27Speaker 1: only got a two count. Phoenix, then headed up top
- 21:31Speaker 1: he crashed and burned on a moon salt. Sammy went
- 21:34Speaker 1: for a halluva kick Phoenix, though moved, he did a
- 21:37Speaker 1: forward roll into this great DDT and both men were
- 21:41Speaker 1: down heading into the second commercial break. During the break,
- 21:46Speaker 1: they were on the ropes. Sammy hit a sunset bomb
- 21:49Speaker 1: only for a near fall, So we got a chance
- 21:51Speaker 1: of this is awesome. Not the first. Oh actually this
- 21:54Speaker 1: was the first, but not the only time in this
- 21:55Speaker 1: match that you would hear the fans chanting that. Sammy
- 21:58Speaker 1: headed back up to the top. As he came down,
- 22:00Speaker 1: he fucking ate a super kick here from Ray Phoenix
- 22:05Speaker 1: for a great near fall and a close one, so
- 22:09Speaker 1: much so that poor referee got chance of ref You suck.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Sammy got to his knees and he ate a couple
- 22:16Speaker 1: of kicks to the chest, like yes kicks, and it
- 22:19Speaker 1: looked like it was just making a med but then
- 22:21Speaker 1: Phoenix delivered one, just flushed right to the face, and
- 22:25Speaker 1: Sammy went down. They came back out of the break
- 22:28Speaker 1: and they ended up back on the ropes again. It
- 22:31Speaker 1: looked like Sammy was gonna go. It looked like he
- 22:33Speaker 1: was actually setting up maybe for like an avalanche, you know,
- 22:36Speaker 1: attitude adjustment or something. Phoenix got free, and so with
- 22:40Speaker 1: Sammy still sitting on the ropes, but he was sort
- 22:42Speaker 1: of bent over, like hunched forward, Phoenix jumped over his head,
- 22:48Speaker 1: double stumped the back of his neck and then landed
- 22:52Speaker 1: on his feet in the ring. And then he followed
- 22:55Speaker 1: that with a springboard moonsalt onto Sammy and he covered him.
- 22:58Speaker 1: Sammy kicked out, so now they went at it. Phoenix
- 23:02Speaker 1: hit the ropes. Now picture Jay Lethal going for the
- 23:06Speaker 1: lethal injection right, Phoenix hits the ropes in the same way,
- 23:10Speaker 1: but when he comes off the rope, Sammy catches him
- 23:13Speaker 1: and spins him, drops him with a blue thunderbomb for
- 23:17Speaker 1: another great near fall. So these two, I mean, at
- 23:19Speaker 1: this point in the match, here, these two were cooking
- 23:22Speaker 1: with oil. Sammy caught him, he gave him an exploder
- 23:26Speaker 1: into the corner. Now he's setting up for the Halluva kick.
- 23:29Speaker 1: He's setting up for the kill shot. Here as he
- 23:31Speaker 1: came in, though, Phoenix jumped up, took him over with irana,
- 23:35Speaker 1: had his legs hooked forward. Sammy, though kicked out, so
- 23:38Speaker 1: we got more chance of this is awesome. This is
- 23:41Speaker 1: indeed awesome. Phoenix hit the Goodbye Amigo kick, then came
- 23:46Speaker 1: into the corner for another kick. This kick missed, though,
- 23:49Speaker 1: and Sammy gave him another exploder, and this time he
- 23:52Speaker 1: would not be denied. The Halluva kick connects and then
- 23:58Speaker 1: into the cover and Sammy Zaying retained the United States
- 24:01Speaker 1: Championship and all I wrote on Twitter when this match
- 24:05Speaker 1: was over, although again it's probably a pointless exercise because again,
- 24:09Speaker 1: like I said before, reading comprehension of a door knob.
- 24:12Speaker 1: But I wrote on Twitter. What a fucking match, What
- 24:15Speaker 1: a fucking match this was here? And I'll tell you
- 24:17Speaker 1: what more. I don't know how long they're going to
- 24:19Speaker 1: drag this open challenge gimmick out for. It may just
- 24:22Speaker 1: be for a few weeks. It could be for a
- 24:24Speaker 1: couple of months, right, we don't know. You give us
- 24:28Speaker 1: more matches like the one that we got here on
- 24:30Speaker 1: this show. This will rival potentially, if not exceed, the
- 24:34Speaker 1: quality of the John cena Us Title Open Challenge that
- 24:37Speaker 1: we got ten years ago. If you give us more
- 24:39Speaker 1: matches like this, this was tremendous stuff. And I think
- 24:44Speaker 1: about other potential opponents for Sammy. You really want to
- 24:48Speaker 1: have fun with this open challenge here and get him
- 24:50Speaker 1: in the ring with guys that maybe he just hasn't
- 24:52Speaker 1: worked with before, like tonight, right, he had never worked
- 24:54Speaker 1: with Ray Phoenix before. One on one. You've got androde
- 24:58Speaker 1: right Phoenix is I guess now former tag team partner
- 25:01Speaker 1: who also has been just out of the picture, not
- 25:05Speaker 1: seen for a while, really not seen since the TLC
- 25:07Speaker 1: match at SummerSlam. Why not get Sammy in there with
- 25:10Speaker 1: Andrade for a match? Why not get him in there
- 25:13Speaker 1: with a Nathan Fraser? Why not get him in there
- 25:15Speaker 1: with axiom. Carmelo Hayes is an obvious one. Carmelo Hayes
- 25:20Speaker 1: is the next one because in a backstage segment later
- 25:23Speaker 1: in the show, Hayes confronted Sammy and said I got next.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Finally he smartened up. He's been trying to get a
- 25:30Speaker 1: word with Nick Aldus for weeks now and all this
- 25:32Speaker 1: keeps blowing him off, and then the Miz gets involved.
- 25:35Speaker 1: I'm like, dude, after last week, Sammy opened this challenge
- 25:38Speaker 1: up to anybody, I'm like, how dumb is Carmelo Hayes
- 25:42Speaker 1: gonna look knowing this? If he doesn't just go right
- 25:45Speaker 1: to the source. I'm like, dude, just either confront him
- 25:48Speaker 1: in the back, or if Sammy comes out and throws
- 25:50Speaker 1: it open to anybody, you'd be the first one to
- 25:52Speaker 1: walk out. Like, if Carmelo Hayes is not the first
- 25:55Speaker 1: person or one of the first people to, you know, again,
- 26:01Speaker 1: accept this open challenge, it's like, what are we doing here?
- 26:04Speaker 1: So he wasn't the first, but I was happy that
- 26:07Speaker 1: he actually went up to Sammy in the back and
- 26:08Speaker 1: said I got next, and Sammy said, okay, don't miss
- 26:14Speaker 1: So then mis showed up. He was not happy when
- 26:17Speaker 1: he found out that Hayes had done this. He didn't
- 26:21Speaker 1: think that he's ready to be the United States Champion
- 26:23Speaker 1: because Miss of course in the past has been the
- 26:26Speaker 1: United States Champion and he's more interested in them going
- 26:29Speaker 1: after the tag team titles. But he was not happy
- 26:32Speaker 1: about this. That seems like a very bad sign for
- 26:36Speaker 1: Carmelo Hayes next week. I am not expecting Carmelo Hayes
- 26:41Speaker 1: to win the United States Championship. But it's a first step.
- 26:45Speaker 1: We'll see where it leads to. But it's a first step.
- 26:48Speaker 1: This open Challenge, I'll tell you what though, would also
- 26:50Speaker 1: be good as a way to introduce a new talent
- 26:53Speaker 1: from NXT and so a couple of the names that
- 26:56Speaker 1: I immediately come to mind for me Ethan Page, Evans,
- 27:01Speaker 1: and it doesn't have to be like a full time
- 27:03Speaker 1: call up. Javon is not somebody I would call up
- 27:06Speaker 1: full time just yet. Ethan Page is absolutely ready to
- 27:09Speaker 1: be called up. I've seen some of the stuff that
- 27:11Speaker 1: he's been doing with Chelsea Green, and I do think
- 27:14Speaker 1: that that could be a main event act on SmackDown.
- 27:18Speaker 1: I would actually love to see them paired up together.
- 27:20Speaker 1: I think that would be good for both. So someone
- 27:22Speaker 1: like even Paige, absolutely I could see him on the
- 27:25Speaker 1: main roster today. Ricky Saints is another one, but he's
- 27:28Speaker 1: obviously involved with I guess Obafemi right now. But yeah,
- 27:32Speaker 1: like someone like that, or a Javon Evans or I
- 27:35Speaker 1: mean whoever. I mean, name whoever you want. But you
- 27:39Speaker 1: can really throw it open to a whole bunch of
- 27:41Speaker 1: different people and all it takes is one standout match
- 27:44Speaker 1: like the one we had tonight to really you know,
- 27:47Speaker 1: make an impact here on this show. So this was
- 27:49Speaker 1: this was tremendous stuff. Though as far as and I
- 27:52Speaker 1: just hope that Phoenix does not get you know, banished
- 27:55Speaker 1: back to Catering and we don't see him again for
- 27:57Speaker 1: six weeks. My thing is, if you're not going to
- 28:00Speaker 1: do anything with Phoenix, it would be better to just
- 28:03Speaker 1: put the Luca bros. Together. Yeah, it looked like they
- 28:06Speaker 1: were really pushing Pent as a single there for a while,
- 28:09Speaker 1: and maybe they had plans for him, maybe with the
- 28:11Speaker 1: Intercontinental title, which he ended up not winning. Unless there's
- 28:16Speaker 1: some sort of solid singles planned for him coming up
- 28:19Speaker 1: real soon, I think both of them would be well
- 28:22Speaker 1: served to just be put back together as a tag
- 28:24Speaker 1: team and let them have a tag run together. Right now,
- 28:26Speaker 1: you could still do singles with them, but I think
- 28:30Speaker 1: Penta and Phoenix reunited would be much better. It would
- 28:34Speaker 1: be good for both of them, but it would be
- 28:35Speaker 1: much better for Phoenix because it's very clear they don't
- 28:39Speaker 1: really have a real plan for him Penta. They have
- 28:43Speaker 1: him doing stuff with New Day and Grace and Waller,
- 28:45Speaker 1: which is not terribly interesting, but at least it's something Phoenix,
- 28:49Speaker 1: especially after a performance like this, Phoenix deserves more. He
- 28:53Speaker 1: needs something that might just be it. So they aired
- 28:57Speaker 1: a video here, one of these VHS style videos with
- 29:04Speaker 1: Bo Dallas and the rest of the wy AT six,
- 29:08Speaker 1: and Bo asked where the street profits go from here
- 29:11Speaker 1: now that they failed their test. Eric Rowan said that
- 29:15Speaker 1: he was sad to see Tez and Dawkins acting this way,
- 29:17Speaker 1: but it's common for people to not see what they
- 29:20Speaker 1: have until it's gone. Dallas said that they were the
- 29:24Speaker 1: ones who sow the seeds that sprouted horns, and then
- 29:29Speaker 1: he tells us to follow the buzzards. Sure, sure, okay.
- 29:39Speaker 1: In the back earlier today, they showed Julia and Keana
- 29:42Speaker 1: James confronting beefab talked about them stepping up to her
- 29:47Speaker 1: girl Mitchen, and Julia said that she could talk smack
- 29:50Speaker 1: if she can back it up in the ring tonight.
- 29:53Speaker 1: And that brings us to our next match, which was
- 29:55Speaker 1: not a championship match, and actually it wasn't a match
- 29:58Speaker 1: at all as it turned, but it was supposed to
- 30:01Speaker 1: be Julia one on one against BFAB. That's not what
- 30:04Speaker 1: we got though. Instead, what we got here before the
- 30:07Speaker 1: match could even start, Julia and Keana they assaulted Beefab.
- 30:11Speaker 1: They tossed her into the barricade. Back in the ring,
- 30:14Speaker 1: James was stomping on Beefab. Julia delivered a running a
- 30:18Speaker 1: Rivederci knee to the face. She then bent Bfab's arms
- 30:23Speaker 1: behind her back and was holding her with her arms
- 30:25Speaker 1: behind her back like she was about to give her
- 30:27Speaker 1: a curb stump. Before she could do anything, though, she
- 30:30Speaker 1: was frozen in her tracks by music. It was Miechen's music.
- 30:36Speaker 1: And Michen comes running out and Julia sends Keana to
- 30:38Speaker 1: go take care of her. So Keana leaves the ring,
- 30:41Speaker 1: and Michen, of course has a kendo stick, which is
- 30:43Speaker 1: every woman's weapon of choice here in WWE, so she
- 30:47Speaker 1: whacks Keana across the ribs with it she gets in
- 30:49Speaker 1: the ring. She took a swing at Julia, Julia duckt
- 30:52Speaker 1: and escaped the ring to safety. I cannot be mad
- 30:59Speaker 1: that we did not get b FAB in the ring
- 31:01Speaker 1: tonight against Julia. I can't say that I was greatly
- 31:04Speaker 1: looking forward to this match, although it would be nice
- 31:07Speaker 1: to see Julia wrestling on a regular basis. But it
- 31:11Speaker 1: wasn't much of a segment either. It sets up an
- 31:13Speaker 1: obvious tag team match. If that's the direction they want
- 31:16Speaker 1: to go in, you do meechin in BFAB against Julia
- 31:19Speaker 1: and Keana. I mean, I've said my piece on Julia.
- 31:24Speaker 1: What more is there to say? This is just she's
- 31:27Speaker 1: in mid card hell right now in WWA, and the
- 31:32Speaker 1: mid card is not always a terrible place to be,
- 31:34Speaker 1: but the mid card is very hit or miss. You
- 31:36Speaker 1: can have a mid card feud that actually is interesting
- 31:40Speaker 1: and engaging and can be used to try to elevate
- 31:43Speaker 1: somebody so that one day they are in the main event.
- 31:47Speaker 1: You could have a mid card feud that clearly is
- 31:49Speaker 1: being put together because we have to do something and
- 31:51Speaker 1: we don't know what to do. That's kind of what
- 31:54Speaker 1: this feels like. She may be the United States Champion.
- 31:57Speaker 1: But what they have done with Julius since she left
- 31:59Speaker 1: NX and came to the main roster to do has
- 32:03Speaker 1: been underwhelming. And I'm being polite when I say that.
- 32:08Speaker 1: They aired a video with a WrestleMania Saudi announcement from
- 32:11Speaker 1: earlier today where everybody was making different comments about how
- 32:16Speaker 1: great it is and the biggest of all time and
- 32:20Speaker 1: all the things that you would expect them to say
- 32:22Speaker 1: to build up an announcement like this. More on all
- 32:24Speaker 1: this this Sunday on SoundOff nine twenty nine. Then we
- 32:28Speaker 1: got an Alistair Black video where he warned that he
- 32:32Speaker 1: is the sickness and the cure for Damian Priest, who
- 32:35Speaker 1: he beat on last week's show. They can keep fighting
- 32:38Speaker 1: because of Priest's code and die by it, and he
- 32:41Speaker 1: calls himself the profit of violence. After this, we had
- 32:46Speaker 1: our second championship match of the evening, Tiffany Stratton defending
- 32:52Speaker 1: the WWE Women's Championship against Jade Cargill. This was a
- 32:56Speaker 1: rematch from SummerSlam. Aid immediately went for a pump kick,
- 33:02Speaker 1: Stratton avoided it. Jade tried to lift her up got
- 33:05Speaker 1: met with a high dropkick, so Cargil got the advantage
- 33:08Speaker 1: with a power slam, followed that up with a supplex
- 33:11Speaker 1: attempt that Tiffany was able to avoid. Jade ended up
- 33:14Speaker 1: outside the ring, which allowed Tiffany to vault over the
- 33:18Speaker 1: top rope with a dive that took us into the
- 33:20Speaker 1: commercial break. So Jay delivered a fallaway slam coming out
- 33:24Speaker 1: of the brake, kicked right back up to her feet.
- 33:26Speaker 1: Stratton fired back with a spinebuster. Both women are down.
- 33:31Speaker 1: Jade attempts a power bomb. Stratton, though, reverses into a
- 33:33Speaker 1: head scissors. Tiffany did a flipping back elbow, you know,
- 33:38Speaker 1: the handspring elbow that she does, and a double stomp.
- 33:42Speaker 1: She finished the combo off with a top rope swanton
- 33:45Speaker 1: bomb for a near fall. And again, I know I've
- 33:48Speaker 1: said this before, she does the swan tom bomb and
- 33:52Speaker 1: she waits until the last possible second to tuck her
- 33:57Speaker 1: head on the landing. And and I'm just telling you
- 34:01Speaker 1: she every time she does that, she is tempting fate.
- 34:04Speaker 1: It looks like she's doing she's about to face plan
- 34:08Speaker 1: like a javelin, right into the mat. Tiffany set up
- 34:12Speaker 1: for the prettiest moon Salt ever. Jade, though was able
- 34:15Speaker 1: to shove her shove her down as she scaled the ropes,
- 34:20Speaker 1: so she had a power bomb out of the corner
- 34:22Speaker 1: and covered for a near fall. Jade went for a
- 34:24Speaker 1: choked slam, Stratton rolled through for two. She followed with
- 34:27Speaker 1: an Alabama slam. Stratton went for another Moon Salt, but
- 34:31Speaker 1: Jade rolled out of the way and she delivered. Jade
- 34:33Speaker 1: did this great looking pumpkick. So now both women were down.
- 34:38Speaker 1: They traded strikes out on the apron. Jade went for
- 34:43Speaker 1: a spear, ended up posting herself shoulder first. Tiffany went
- 34:46Speaker 1: up top, missed the moon Salt to the floor. She
- 34:50Speaker 1: looked like she smacked her head real good on the
- 34:53Speaker 1: landing there. As Jade got up, she speared Tiffany. Both
- 34:57Speaker 1: women went crashing through the time key Deeper's barricade. Meanwhile,
- 35:01Speaker 1: the referee had been counting the entire time. Now both
- 35:04Speaker 1: women are down, referee counts ten throws the match away.
- 35:09Speaker 1: This match is a double count out, and the fans booed.
- 35:12Speaker 1: They were not happy about that. They would be less
- 35:15Speaker 1: happy about what came next because after it was over,
- 35:18Speaker 1: a wild Naya Jacks appeared at ringside. She attacked both women.
- 35:23Speaker 1: She sent Jade into the ring steps and then delivered
- 35:25Speaker 1: a Samoan drop on the floor. Then she brought Stratton
- 35:28Speaker 1: into the ring and hit an annihilator, and so at
- 35:32Speaker 1: the end of this Women's Championship match, the last woman
- 35:35Speaker 1: standing at the end of all this was Nya jacks
- 35:39Speaker 1: So we're back to Nya Jackson, Tiffity Stratton with a
- 35:42Speaker 1: little sprinkle of Jade Cargill thrown in there. So there's
- 35:46Speaker 1: a triple threat match incoming very soon. I don't know
- 35:49Speaker 1: that they're going to add that to the Wrestle Polooza card.
- 35:53Speaker 1: They could, but it just feels like probably going to
- 35:56Speaker 1: be a SmackDown match at some point. What else do
- 36:00Speaker 1: they have right now? Now? I look at this and
- 36:03Speaker 1: I grown, just because we've been there, done that with
- 36:06Speaker 1: all three of these women, but especially Tiffany and Naya,
- 36:11Speaker 1: and even some of their matches were not bad matches,
- 36:13Speaker 1: but like, been there, done that, and it just feels
- 36:16Speaker 1: like we're rolling down the hill backwards here. But then
- 36:19Speaker 1: I think, and I look at the roster that they
- 36:21Speaker 1: have on SmackDown with the women right now, and I just,
- 36:24Speaker 1: you know, I kind of throw my hands up in
- 36:25Speaker 1: the air, like, well, what else are they supposed to
- 36:27Speaker 1: do right now. They don't have any depth at the
- 36:30Speaker 1: top of the food chain in this women's division on
- 36:32Speaker 1: Friday nights. Bianca Belle air is, I don't know if
- 36:37Speaker 1: she's cleared and they're just waiting for a chance to
- 36:39Speaker 1: bring her back if she's still not cleared with the finger,
- 36:42Speaker 1: I don't know what's going on there. All I know
- 36:44Speaker 1: is that she has been out of the ring since
- 36:46Speaker 1: April and she has been sorely missed on this show,
- 36:49Speaker 1: at least by me, she has. And even if they
- 36:52Speaker 1: were to get her back very soon, it's still not enough.
- 36:56Speaker 1: I mean, there are changes that have to be made here,
- 36:59Speaker 1: whether it's moving one or two people over from Raw,
- 37:01Speaker 1: whether it's calling one or two people up from NXT,
- 37:04Speaker 1: because it's not like they have, you know, a lack
- 37:07Speaker 1: of female talent in the pipeline down there. Soul Ruka
- 37:11Speaker 1: could be on SmackDown right now, Jordan Grace could absolutely
- 37:15Speaker 1: be on SmackDown right now. Blake Monroe could be on
- 37:18Speaker 1: SmackDown right now. Take your pick. You don't need all three,
- 37:22Speaker 1: you know, one to start would be okay, that would
- 37:25Speaker 1: be nice, But they've got to make some changes here
- 37:28Speaker 1: because the women's title scene on this show really for
- 37:32Speaker 1: both titles, very very weak. And it's too bad about
- 37:36Speaker 1: the finish here because I actually thought they were having
- 37:38Speaker 1: a good match before that. I would even put it
- 37:40Speaker 1: slightly above the match they had at Summer Slam, although
- 37:44Speaker 1: they were very similar matches and about the same length.
- 37:47Speaker 1: This one might have been a couple minutes longer if
- 37:52Speaker 1: I had one thing I could compliment them on. They
- 37:54Speaker 1: were able to hold off on sending Naya out there
- 37:57Speaker 1: until the match was already over. Not that it was
- 37:59Speaker 1: much better than a double count out finish, but Naya
- 38:02Speaker 1: did not interfere in the match. They waited until the
- 38:05Speaker 1: match was over, and then she came out and did
- 38:07Speaker 1: her business. This week's episode is sponsored by Express VPN.
- 38:12Speaker 1: Did you know that there are over eighteen thousand titles
- 38:15Speaker 1: on Netflix worldwide? Yet if you live here where I
- 38:19Speaker 1: am in the United States, you're only seeing about seven
- 38:22Speaker 1: thousand of those titles. That's less than half. If you
- 38:25Speaker 1: want to watch the other eleven thousand, you'll have to
- 38:27Speaker 1: find them on another streaming service, and you pay for
- 38:30Speaker 1: enough of those as it is. It's almost like paying
- 38:33Speaker 1: a tariff just because you want to see a movie.
- 38:35Speaker 1: Only difference is you have a way to get around
- 38:37Speaker 1: these tariffs and get the full experience that you deserve.
- 38:40Speaker 1: That is, with ExpressVPN. Netflix actually hides content from you.
- 38:45Speaker 1: Believe this, They hide content from you based on your location.
- 38:49Speaker 1: ExpressVPN allows you to change your virtual locations so that
- 38:52Speaker 1: you control where you want Netflix to think you're located.

- 38:58Speaker 1: fifty states. You can gain access to thousands of new
- 39:02Speaker 1: shows and movies and never run out of stuff to watch.
- 39:04Speaker 1: You could just keep adding to your playlist. And it's
- 39:07Speaker 1: not just Netflix that it works with. You can use
- 39:09Speaker 1: it with other streamers like Disney Plus and BBCi Player
- 39:13Speaker 1: and more. ExpressVPN is the best VPN because it's easy
- 39:17Speaker 1: to use. With the simple tap of a button in
- 39:19Speaker 1: the app, you can change your location if you ever
- 39:22Speaker 1: wish that you could just teleport somewhere. How much easier
- 39:25Speaker 1: that would be You no longer need to wonder, you

- 39:31Speaker 1: you stream a HD, and it works across all of
- 39:34Speaker 1: your devices, phones, laptops, tablets, smart TVs, you name it.
- 39:39Speaker 1: There's a reason ExpressVPN is ranked number one by top
- 39:42Speaker 1: tech reviewers like c Net and The Verge. Two of
- 39:45Speaker 1: my favorite movies of all time are The Shawshank Redemption
- 39:49Speaker 1: and The Dark Knight. And a lot of you know
- 39:50Speaker 1: about The Dark Knight because I talk about it a lot.
- 39:53Speaker 1: I can't watch either one of them on Netflix in
- 39:55Speaker 1: the US right now, but with my ExpressVPN, I tapped
- 39:59Speaker 1: one button to connect to a server in Australia and
- 40:02Speaker 1: I'm watching Shawshank it again. I mean, I'm running around
- 40:04Speaker 1: with the kangaroos and stuff, and I'm watching Shawshank Redemption
- 40:07Speaker 1: on my phone. It worked like a charm. The Dark Night.
- 40:11Speaker 1: I can watch that movie over and over again, never
- 40:13Speaker 1: get bored of it. Not on Netflix here, but when
- 40:16Speaker 1: I connected to a server in Japan, I got me
- 40:19Speaker 1: some Batman and Joker. I always wanted to visit Japan.
- 40:23Speaker 1: This may be as close as I ever get, but
- 40:25Speaker 1: at least now I have access to my favorite movie.
- 40:27Speaker 1: And again it's super easy. I just open the ExpressVPN app,
- 40:30Speaker 1: I type in Japan, the server comes up, I click
- 40:34Speaker 1: one button to connect to it, and in less than
- 40:36Speaker 1: three seconds, I'm transported halfway across the world. Then I
- 40:40Speaker 1: just refresh my Netflix and the movies are there, So

- 41:07Speaker 1: This walked out of his office, he was accosted by
- 41:10Speaker 1: Chelsea Green and Alba Fire who were leaning up against
- 41:13Speaker 1: the wall waiting for him to come out, and they
- 41:16Speaker 1: demanded a women's tag Team Championship match, and all This
- 41:20Speaker 1: proposed that the two of them faced the winners of
- 41:22Speaker 1: the tag team title match that is taking place next
- 41:25Speaker 1: Tuesday at the NXT homecoming show. NXT is back at
- 41:29Speaker 1: Full Sale University for those who don't know, that's the
- 41:33Speaker 1: period where I first started watching NXT full time and
- 41:36Speaker 1: became an NXT fan, the old Full Sale days. They're
- 41:40Speaker 1: going to be back there. It's kind of like an
- 41:42Speaker 1: anniversary show on Tuesday, and Charlotte and Alexa are going
- 41:47Speaker 1: to be defending the women's tag team titles against the
- 41:49Speaker 1: Culling Tatum Paxley an isy Dame. So he said, the
- 41:55Speaker 1: winners of that match, you guys can get them for
- 41:58Speaker 1: the tag team titles, and they were very happy about that.
- 42:01Speaker 1: Where is Piper Niven She's still gone, She's still missing.
- 42:05Speaker 1: There's something going on with Piper nivin. I don't know
- 42:07Speaker 1: what it is, but there's definitely something going on there.
- 42:12Speaker 1: After this, they aired a long video package on the
- 42:16Speaker 1: history between John Cena and Brock Lesner, and this was
- 42:20Speaker 1: narrated by Joe tessitour like something you would see before
- 42:24Speaker 1: a big boxing fight on ESPN if they were doing
- 42:28Speaker 1: some sort of history package, and it covered their beginnings
- 42:33Speaker 1: in OVW. They even had some training footage of them
- 42:36Speaker 1: in the ring at OVW training together and shaking hands
- 42:38Speaker 1: at one point. They covered the move for each to WWE,
- 42:44Speaker 1: their Backlash match from two thousand and three, Lesner's exit
- 42:48Speaker 1: from the company in two thousand and four, and Seina
- 42:50Speaker 1: taking the torch as the face of the company after
- 42:53Speaker 1: he left, and they promoted Part two will be coming
- 42:56Speaker 1: up on the show next week, which is going to
- 42:59Speaker 1: be twenty four hours before Wressell Palooza. So it was
- 43:02Speaker 1: a good history lesson, especially for fans who may not
- 43:05Speaker 1: be familiar with their past together. But this one segment
- 43:12Speaker 1: was better than anything that John Cena or Brock Lesnar
- 43:15Speaker 1: themselves have done in the last few weeks to actually
- 43:19Speaker 1: promote this match at Wressell Palooza. It just shouldn't be
- 43:22Speaker 1: that way. You know, they're just relying on their star power,
- 43:26Speaker 1: That's really all it is. They're relying on the fact
- 43:28Speaker 1: that they have history together, two major names, a lot
- 43:32Speaker 1: of star power there, Brock's first match back in over
- 43:35Speaker 1: two years. There. It is by the show like they
- 43:39Speaker 1: have done the absolute bare minimum, and even that I
- 43:42Speaker 1: don't even think they clear that benchmark in terms of
- 43:45Speaker 1: what they've done with these two. So the video package here,
- 43:48Speaker 1: the history lesson they gave us was better than all
- 43:51Speaker 1: of that, all the segments they've been a part of
- 43:53Speaker 1: put together. It's pathetic. They went backstage in Vegas where
- 43:59Speaker 1: raymus Steer was he was being interviewed. This was at
- 44:02Speaker 1: the World's Collide Show, which again is taking place as
- 44:06Speaker 1: we speak right now. As he was being interviewed, Dominic
- 44:09Speaker 1: Mysterio walked in said that he would be the first
- 44:12Speaker 1: Mysterio to be the Mega Champion. He told his deadbeat
- 44:15Speaker 1: Dad that if he wins, I need you to come
- 44:18Speaker 1: out and put the title strap the title around my waist.
- 44:22Speaker 1: So Ray said sure if you win, and Dom said
- 44:27Speaker 1: when he wins. So Ray left and Finn Baalor walked
- 44:30Speaker 1: in because Finn Balor has a match on the show
- 44:32Speaker 1: as well, and Balor said that Dom would prove that
- 44:35Speaker 1: he's the greatest luchador of all time when he won
- 44:38Speaker 1: the title alone. Good luck. They closed the show. Is
- 44:46Speaker 1: the end of SmackDown already? They closed the show with
- 44:48Speaker 1: Randy Orton one on one against Drew McIntyre. Orton set
- 44:52Speaker 1: McIntyre crashing into the outside or crashing outside with a
- 44:56Speaker 1: clothes line out over the top. They went to a
- 44:58Speaker 1: break early in the match. During the break, Orton was
- 45:01Speaker 1: in the ring and he's shaking his leg out and
- 45:04Speaker 1: he's teasing that he may have tweaked his knee. Might
- 45:06Speaker 1: be some issue there with the knee. So Orton hit
- 45:09Speaker 1: some Garvin stumps and a running knee drop. He grabbed
- 45:13Speaker 1: at his knee again. McIntyre noticed this. He took control
- 45:16Speaker 1: by kicking the leg and then delivering a chop block.
- 45:21Speaker 1: He drove his shoulder into the bad knee he applied
- 45:24Speaker 1: a figure four. Orton reversed the hole to reverse the pressure.
- 45:27Speaker 1: McIntyre was able to roll to the ropes. The action
- 45:30Speaker 1: spilled outside. They battled near the announced desk. McIntyre suplexed
- 45:35Speaker 1: Orton onto the announced desk and then hit another chop
- 45:38Speaker 1: block on the floor, and that took us into yet
- 45:41Speaker 1: another commercial break. McIntyre continued to target the bad knee.
- 45:45Speaker 1: He went for another figure four. Orton, though, shoved him
- 45:48Speaker 1: into the ring post and he hit a power slam
- 45:52Speaker 1: and the crowd fired up. Orton set up for a
- 45:55Speaker 1: draping DDT. McIntyre escaped to the floor. Orton followed him out.
- 46:00Speaker 1: He returned the favor superlex back and tire onto the
- 46:02Speaker 1: announced desk, and then he did it again after the
- 46:05Speaker 1: crowd chatted one more time, so he obliged. Orton was
- 46:09Speaker 1: very sluggish getting back in the ring, kind of like
- 46:11Speaker 1: the pace of this match, and McIntyre delivered a Claymore kick,
- 46:15Speaker 1: but he rolled to the floor. Orton came back. He
- 46:18Speaker 1: delivered an RKO after McIntyre tossed him back into the ring,
- 46:23Speaker 1: but then drew rolled to the apron, so Orton pulled
- 46:26Speaker 1: him back in with a draping DDT and then he
- 46:28Speaker 1: got that look in his eyes, got that look in
- 46:32Speaker 1: his eyes. He set up for the punt kick, but
- 46:35Speaker 1: the referee jumped in the way to stop him. McIntyre
- 46:39Speaker 1: used that distraction to shove Orton towards the referee in
- 46:42Speaker 1: the corner. Orton stopped short so he didn't squash him.
- 46:46Speaker 1: But then he turned around right into another Claymore and
- 46:50Speaker 1: Drew McIntyre pins Randy Orton. So after the match is over,
- 46:55Speaker 1: Drew set up Orton next to the announced desk. He
- 46:58Speaker 1: was going to go for a third Claymore kick, but
- 47:01Speaker 1: he had him set up kind of by the bottom part.
- 47:04Speaker 1: He was gonna do to him what he did to
- 47:05Speaker 1: Cody Rhads. Enter Cody Roads, They hit his music and
- 47:10Speaker 1: outcomes Gile himself, the WWE champion. Done with filming, time
- 47:16Speaker 1: to get back to this wrestling thing. He charges down
- 47:19Speaker 1: to the ring, sprints down to the ring. You know,
- 47:23Speaker 1: I have to say, how very nice of him to
- 47:26Speaker 1: wait in the back very patiently all night, all match
- 47:31Speaker 1: until we had ninety seconds left in this show to
- 47:34Speaker 1: finally make his grand return, just sitting in the gorilla
- 47:38Speaker 1: position the entire time, having a snack watching the show.
- 47:42Speaker 1: Finally he comes out. He sprints into the rings, a
- 47:45Speaker 1: very patient man. He sprints into the ring, he attacks McIntyre.
- 47:48Speaker 1: He drops him with a Cody cutter. Cody then took
- 47:51Speaker 1: the mic said the champ is back and he would
- 47:54Speaker 1: see McIntyre at Wressel Paulooza. Emphasize, he really emphasized the
- 48:00Speaker 1: Palooza part Wressell Palooza. So that match is now official.
- 48:04Speaker 1: It'll be Cody Rhoades defending the WWE Championship on that
- 48:07Speaker 1: show against Drew McIntyre. We got a good fifteen minutes
- 48:12Speaker 1: or so here of working the knee. We got fifteen
- 48:16Speaker 1: minutes of working the body part. And for all of
- 48:20Speaker 1: those fifteen minutes of working the knee, it did not
- 48:22Speaker 1: even play a role in the finish of this match.
- 48:25Speaker 1: I don't know what the point of that was. I
- 48:27Speaker 1: really don't. I don't. It's not even like when Orton
- 48:31Speaker 1: went for the punk kick he kind of tripped because
- 48:33Speaker 1: the knee gave out on him. Nope, fifteen minutes of
- 48:37Speaker 1: working on the knee and it didn't even factor into
- 48:40Speaker 1: anything in the end. There was nothing. And look, there's
- 48:42Speaker 1: nothing wrong with working a body part in the match.
- 48:45Speaker 1: I mean, Orton has certainly made a career out of
- 48:49Speaker 1: that type of ring psychology, and there's nothing inherently wrong
- 48:53Speaker 1: with that. But I just thought here, it made for
- 48:54Speaker 1: a very dull match. You know, you do the methodical
- 49:00Speaker 1: tight match and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
- 49:04Speaker 1: This was a solid match, but it really you know,
- 49:07Speaker 1: for a big match like this, it wasn't anything out
- 49:10Speaker 1: of the ordinary that you wouldn't see in your average
- 49:12Speaker 1: SmackDown main event. I expected the Cody return here. That
- 49:17Speaker 1: was not a surprise. He had to return here. They
- 49:20Speaker 1: had no choice if they're going to have him wrestling
- 49:23Speaker 1: at Wressell Paluza, which of course they're going to because
- 49:25Speaker 1: he's the WWE champion. It's your first ESPN show. Why
- 49:28Speaker 1: the hell would he not be on that show. If
- 49:30Speaker 1: you're going to have him wrestling and defending the title
- 49:32Speaker 1: on that show tonight, he had to come back. Next
- 49:34Speaker 1: week is too late, you know, you need at least
- 49:37Speaker 1: one more week to promote that match. So he came back.
- 49:43Speaker 1: He made the save for Orton before Orton was going
- 49:45Speaker 1: to get his head caved in and Drew was going
- 49:48Speaker 1: to do the same thing to him that he had
- 49:49Speaker 1: done to Cody, and then Cody made the match official.
- 49:52Speaker 1: Question now is what role, if any, does Randy Orton
- 49:55Speaker 1: play in this match at Wressell Paloozo. Right? Maybe he does,
- 50:00Speaker 1: maybe he doesn't. I don't know. But as far as
- 50:02Speaker 1: this show here, look some solid inring action on the
- 50:05Speaker 1: show with this and the women's title match. But honestly,
- 50:09Speaker 1: the only things of any real note were the Sammy's
- 50:11Speaker 1: Ain match, which was excellent, and the return of Cody Rhoades,
- 50:16Speaker 1: which they rushed through at the very end, literally the
- 50:19Speaker 1: last ninety seconds of the show. They rushed through it.
- 50:22Speaker 1: They were right at the very end. Other than that,
- 50:25Speaker 1: not much to the show. Very disappointed with their use
- 50:29Speaker 1: of brock Lesner here. You know, look when the best
- 50:32Speaker 1: thing I can say about it is that he split
- 50:34Speaker 1: his pants and laughed about it. I mean that pretty
- 50:38Speaker 1: much tells you everything you need to know about their
- 50:40Speaker 1: use of brock Lesnar on this show. What did you
- 50:45Speaker 1: think of SmackDown from Norfolk, Virginia. Here's the Twitter poll
- 50:48Speaker 1: right now, sixty six point six soh oh the mark
- 50:52Speaker 1: of the Beast sixty sixty six thirty three point four
- 50:57Speaker 1: percent thumbs down. So that is the pole so far.
- 51:07Speaker 1: Let's go through super chats and then we got some
- 51:12Speaker 1: to go through here Gile Guile from Street Fighter. We
- 51:19Speaker 1: are at two hundred and eighty two likes, so be
- 51:21Speaker 1: the booker will not be happening tonight. Very disappointing. Let's
- 51:26Speaker 1: see here. Well again, I mentioned Boots at the beginning.
- 51:29Speaker 1: Boots had that big one bombs, so Boots, who may
- 51:34Speaker 1: or may not be passed out at this point. I
- 51:38Speaker 1: don't know where he is, but Boots, thank you, brother.
- 51:41Speaker 1: I can find your message here there it is. It
- 51:48Speaker 1: may be the surveysa talking, but I get a kick
- 51:50Speaker 1: out of Ludwig Kai, I mean Grande Americano singing Si
- 51:56Speaker 1: Alito Lindo. I could use the surveysor right about now,
- 52:04Speaker 1: Joseph Stewart buy or sell Woody or buzz Lightyear. Joseph
- 52:10Speaker 1: just thought this was such an exciting show tonight on
- 52:13Speaker 1: USA Network that he decided, you know what I'm gonna
- 52:20Speaker 1: ask about toy Story and Woody and buzz Lightyear. Boots
- 52:26Speaker 1: on the floor, Yeah, Steve says, Boots on the floor.
- 52:34Speaker 1: Oh man, me, I gotta go buzz light Year. I
- 52:41Speaker 1: think buzz light Year is cool. How different would Sid's
- 52:46Speaker 1: career have been if he was the one to beat
- 52:48Speaker 1: Vader at Stark ninety three for the world title. You
- 52:51Speaker 1: know what, I honestly don't think it would have made
- 52:53Speaker 1: that much of a difference. I think that there would
- 52:55Speaker 1: have been some inevitable falling out, he would have left,
- 52:58Speaker 1: he would have ended up in WWE, and he would
- 53:02Speaker 1: have won the championship there. I don't see Sid as
- 53:05Speaker 1: the world champion at that point in time in WCW,
- 53:09Speaker 1: leading to some sort of business resurgence for WCW. I
- 53:15Speaker 1: don't think it would have changed his career radically. What
- 53:19Speaker 1: is your favorite Billy Kidman match in WCW? Is that
- 53:25Speaker 1: a trick question? I wish I could tell you that
- 53:31Speaker 1: The implication there is that I have one Holiday one
- 53:35Speaker 1: ninety seven. Hey Solo, what are your thoughts on WrestleMania
- 53:38Speaker 1: being in Saudi and the reports that they're aiming to
- 53:40Speaker 1: bring back Shawn Michaels, Undertaker, Rock and Stone Cold for
- 53:43Speaker 1: this pay per view? Well? I will talk more about
- 53:47Speaker 1: it on Sunday, but I think that is very stupid.
- 53:51Speaker 1: We need to be going forwards, we do not need
- 53:53Speaker 1: to be going backwards. So that part of the report,
- 53:59Speaker 1: which is all rumor right now. A lot of it
- 54:01Speaker 1: came from Meltzer in The Observer, but I think that's
- 54:04Speaker 1: very stupid. I have no interest in seeing really, I mean,
- 54:07Speaker 1: most of those people, frankly back in the ring. And
- 54:10Speaker 1: keep in mind we're talking not even this year or
- 54:12Speaker 1: next year. Two years from now, they'll all be two
- 54:15Speaker 1: years older than they are now. I certainly have no
- 54:19Speaker 1: interest whatsoever in seeing Undertaker back in the ring that
- 54:22Speaker 1: I can tell you. Joseph Stewart, do you remember when
- 54:26Speaker 1: David Flair, Daphne and Crowbar were a trio in WCW
- 54:31Speaker 1: in late nineteen ninety nine. I do, I do, and
- 54:34Speaker 1: I actually covered that in the Dark Side of the
- 54:38Speaker 1: Ring episode on Her that they did on Daphne. He
- 54:47Speaker 1: also says I heard a rumor that Keana James has
- 54:51Speaker 1: heat in WWE backstage. Do you know if it's true.
- 54:57Speaker 1: I've not heard anything like that, so I'm going to say, no,
- 55:00Speaker 1: it is not true. Face Bears will get annual Arabian
- 55:05Speaker 1: WrestleMania's they can afford it. I'll tell you what if
- 55:07Speaker 1: it just boils down to money and nothing else. If
- 55:09Speaker 1: they want WrestleMania five years in a row, if that's
- 55:12Speaker 1: the criteria now then, yeah, they may be the permanent
- 55:14Speaker 1: host of WrestleMania. Joseph Steward, do you remember when Raven
- 55:19Speaker 1: formed a group with Vampiro and the Insane clown Posse
- 55:22Speaker 1: in WW called the Deadpool in late nineteen ninety nine?
- 55:26Speaker 1: I don't. Could Rick Steiner have been w CW champion
- 55:31Speaker 1: like his brother Scott Steiner? No? No, Rick Steiner is
- 55:35Speaker 1: not world championship material. Broley seven, Julia and Tiffany could
- 55:40Speaker 1: be wrestling lyra eo Osca, Becky, Rhea, Kyrie, Roxanne, Get Soul,
- 55:46Speaker 1: Jordan and Fatal Influence on SmackDown from your Lips to
- 55:50Speaker 1: the Wrestling God's Ears. They got to get somebody up there.
- 55:54Speaker 1: Something has to be done. Tiffany's run ever since she
- 55:58Speaker 1: beat Charlotte A WrestleMania has been as forgettable as you
- 56:03Speaker 1: could possibly expect it to be. A completely forgettable run
- 56:07Speaker 1: as champion. Holliday says, where was Jacob Fatu tonight? He's
- 56:15Speaker 1: starting to blend in as another mid upper card guy.
- 56:19Speaker 1: They need to put him in a meaningful storyline. Oh well,
- 56:23Speaker 1: didn't you see Solo Sokoa's video tonight? Solo Soca is
- 56:28Speaker 1: probably gonna be coming after Jacob Fatu. They're gonna run
- 56:31Speaker 1: that back again. I wouldn't be surprised Boots with another
- 56:39Speaker 1: ten will uh here he is has the constant adds
- 56:46Speaker 1: for Canelo versus Crawford. Piqued your interest. I think I
- 56:49Speaker 1: might watch it. Uh No, it has not for me.
- 56:55Speaker 1: But if you watch it, enjoy brother. I don't hear
- 56:58Speaker 1: about too many big boxing fights anymore. They seem to
- 57:03Speaker 1: be few and far between. Stevie Hurley, So would you
- 57:07Speaker 1: call this sweet? Saudi money eight? This takes the cake.
- 57:12Speaker 1: They were doing so many shows. I just I stopped
- 57:14Speaker 1: doing the names a long time ago. This would have
- 57:17Speaker 1: to be like the ultimate nickname that we would have
- 57:19Speaker 1: to come up with. Joseph with the two bucks. Sena done,
- 57:24Speaker 1: I'm done to rest in peace. Wwe rot in Hell? Wow? Well,
- 57:31Speaker 1: I mean there you go. I think that pretty much
- 57:33Speaker 1: sums it up right there, rot in Hell, he says.
- 57:44Speaker 1: Holiday one ninety seven. Thoughts on Dominic mysterio turning on
- 57:47Speaker 1: the Judgment day and joining Seth's faction. This would lead
- 57:50Speaker 1: to an interesting feud between dom and Finn Balor and
- 57:54Speaker 1: give Breaker and read More motive to go after the
- 57:57Speaker 1: tag team titles. So the implication there is that the
- 58:00Speaker 1: judgment day would go babyface. YEH mean live Morgan will
- 58:07Speaker 1: probably end up being a baby face when she comes
- 58:09Speaker 1: back anyway, So I mean, you can make it work
- 58:13Speaker 1: dom in the vision. I don't know if I see
- 58:19Speaker 1: Dom in the vision though, I don't know if I
- 58:22Speaker 1: like that. I mean, your idea could work, though I
- 58:27Speaker 1: don't know that I would do that. Dried Chicken says
- 58:31Speaker 1: time to pop the champagne bottles for WrestleMania forty three
- 58:35Speaker 1: Super Sweet Saudi Mania. Also this five dollars super chat
- 58:45Speaker 1: from him says he would roast Brock on the mic hell.
- 58:49Speaker 1: I'll fight Brock and pissed Tkoh yeah, you do that,
- 58:54Speaker 1: You do that, brother? The sheltered kid. Ever watched Camp WWE?
- 58:59Speaker 1: Did you like it or no? I did? I watched it.
- 59:04Speaker 1: I liked it for the most part. I liked story
- 59:06Speaker 1: Time more though. Storytime was another one of those WWE
- 59:10Speaker 1: network shows, and they actually gave a shit about doing
- 59:14Speaker 1: shows like that. I like that one more mactub Greater,
- 59:22Speaker 1: All Time for you Overall Cain or Seth Cain drive
- 59:31Speaker 1: Shake and says Triple H has turned Julia into a boring, stale,
- 59:34Speaker 1: mundane noodle creative teams should be arrested. Julia has so
- 59:39Speaker 1: much personality in her, it's just a matter of coming
- 59:44Speaker 1: up with the right stories, you know, to kind of
- 59:47Speaker 1: bring it out of her. Mactub has Cody surpassed his
- 59:57Speaker 1: father's legacy for you, No, not yet. Try checking Buy
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: or Sell disrespected EVP bucks or Morning New Day disrespected
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: EVP Bucks far more entertaining. Bobby means with Saudi getting
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: many of forty three, is there a chance of it
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: being live earlier in the day, like around one or
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: three pop. Well, of course it's gonna be a live show.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: So the Saudi shows here usually start I think of one.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: I'm expecting Wrestlemandi to start around one or two o'clock
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: in the afternoon. One of the benefits I suppose for
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: me it's to watch the show earlier and go live earlier.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: But as I said before, it opens up opportunity for
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: other people. We'll cover it more a little more in
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: depth on the podcast this Sunday. You know, it's it's whatever.
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: I'm just it's just so deflating seeing the different comments
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: from just so many idiots online today who incorporated of course,
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: the tribal nature of things, I saw it degenerated into
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: a wweaw thing. I mean, it's just the typical bullshit
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: that you would expect to see, you know, in terms
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: of some of the online discourse. But again, I mean,
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: nobody should be surprised by the announcement. This is something
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: that was inevitable. It's happening, maybe a little sooner than
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: I thought it would. I do think it's a slap
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: in the face for them to get it before the
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: UK does. But it comes down to dollars and cents,
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: and there's no way the UK can compete with the
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: amount of money that we're talking about here, which was
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: not and never is going to be officially announced, but
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: the belief is that it is. It could be upwards
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: of two hundred million dollars for one show technically too,
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: because it's still going to be two nights, but for
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: one weekend. What other country is going to be able
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: to compete with that? Right? The UK can't compete with that.
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: They can't just blindly throw that money around. That's why
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: I said, like, if it literally just comes down to
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: money and nothing more, it is not out of the
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: realm of possibility that you know, the Saudis could end
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: up getting WrestleMania the year after that. Look what happened
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: with Vegas. Look at what happened with Vegas. They literally
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: sent the rock out on live television in New Orleans
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: to announce that WrestleMania forty two was coming to New Orleans.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: And then they change their mind when they saw how
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: much money they made this year in Vegas. They couldn't
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: even wait. We gotta go back to Vegas. Sorry, Nola,
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: we gotta go back to Vegas. Why money? This is
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: the first WrestleMania in Saudi. I guarantee you it will
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: not be the last. We'll talk more about it on Sunday.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: That's gonna be Episode nine twenty nine of the Sound
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: of Dried Chicken. Says, imagine Eo Sky doing Darby's coffin
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: drop in WWE She doesn't have to. She's got her
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: her beautiful moon salt that she does. She doesn't have
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: to go around stealing other people's moods. And really, whatever
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: the number is, whether it's one hundred and fifty million,
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: two hundred million, it could be more, could be two
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: hundred and fifty million, right, we don't know, but even
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: one hundred million. It's it's insane, you know, it's crazy.
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: But they're gonna go where the money is. You know,
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: fuck everything else. It's just how they operate. Nobody should
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: be surprised. You could be disappointed by it, but nobody
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: should be surprised by it. But this idea that this
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: is some sort of game changing type announcement, again, it's
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: all a matter of semantics here. I fail to see
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: what's so game changing about this. There's nothing game changing
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: about this. This was as predictable as predictable could be.
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: They've been running shows in Saudi for years. They've been
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: doing large stadium shows in international locations for years. Summerslim
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: has expanded to two nights, Like WrestleMania doesn't mean what
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: it used to mean. There's nothing game changing about this.
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: I'll tell you who's game change today. Though maybe you
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: could argue was their bank account curdly, But again, they
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: make a lot of money off the Saudi shows, so
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: they'll make a little bit more for WrestleMania. To me,
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: that doesn't change the game. You know, it changes the
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: total in their bank account. But in terms of the audience,
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: when you put out a message like that that it's
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: a game changer. I fail to see how it really
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: changes the game for everybody else. Anyway. I know there's
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: a lot of people who are watching World's Collide right now.
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: I will have to check it out out after myself
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: Duff's VIDs. I was told yesterday that I was color blind.
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: The news came right out of the purple, Right out
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: of the purple. Who is that in the background when
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: Sammy had his segment with Mellow Was that knock Hima?
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: Was it knockingma? Oh my god? Can you imagine? Can
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: you imagine fucking knock him? Mora is still lurky. I
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: did not notice anybody in the background, honestly, so I
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: can't tell you who it was. But if it was Knockamora,
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: you have got You've just got to be kidding me.
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: Oh I see ah haha, Yes, of course, out of
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: the purple. Okay, all right, yes, out of the blue,
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: out of the purple. I don't know how I miss
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: that anyway. Be well, stay safe, have yourselves a great
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: rest of your night. If you're gonna go watch World's Collide,
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: enjoy whatever I see of World's Collide. We'll review that
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: and talk about that on Sunday. As well. Uh and
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: I will see you back here for more live YouTube
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: streaming on Monday night for the raw post show. Until then,
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: take care, guys,
