- 0:22I'm so glad you could join us today.
- 0:24Let's say our motto. Repeat after me.
- 0:27I will tell my friends so they can know God.
- 0:32So they can know God. Here's something I know about
- 0:35God. God always loves us.
- 0:38He never stops. I love you too, Casey.
- 0:43I never stop. That's right, dogs always love
- 0:46you and want to play. Especially little puppies.
- 0:49Even if you get mad at your dog, they don't care.
- 0:52They just want to play. Why do you get mad at me, Casey?
- 0:56Well, sometimes I get mad because I'm playing ball with a
- 0:59friend and you come and take the ball away.
- 1:02I just want to play. Casey like to fetch.
- 1:04I just want to play. I know you do Fetch and I
- 1:07shouldn't get mad at you. Hey Fetch, will you help me for
- 1:10a minute? Oh boy, I like to help.
- 1:13What do I do? What do I do?
- 1:15Well, right now, just sit, all right?
- 1:17Fetch if you were chewing on a bone.
- 1:20Where's the bone? I love The Chew bones.
- 1:22I don't have a bone. I I said if you were chewing on
- 1:26a bone. I want to chew a bone.
- 1:27You see, I love to chew bones. I know you do fetch, but I don't
- 1:31have a bone to give you. So let's pretend you have a bone
- 1:36fetch. What are you doing?
- 1:38I'm. Chewing on a pretend bone.
- 1:41OK, Would you like it if I took the bone away from you?
- 1:45I don't like it when you take my bone, Casey.
- 1:47You don't like it when I take your food off your plate?
- 1:50Well, that's right, we should treat others the way we want to
- 1:53be treated. The Bible says do to others as
- 1:56you would like them to do to you.
- 1:58I want everyone to be nice to me, so I'm going to be nice to
- 2:01everyone. Thanks for your help Fetch.
- 2:05I have my bone back. It's just a pretend bone.
- 2:09I know, but but I still like it. OK, here you go.
- 2:16Hey kids, did you? Know that there.
- 2:18Are. Books about chubby.
- 2:20And Bree, they're available. On Amazon and e-book.
- 2:24And paperback formats up in a tree hanging down from.
- 2:35Above a. Beehive busily buzzing God's
- 2:38love, Papa Bee, Mama Bee, Chubby and Bree buzzing God's way.
- 2:45Take a look and you'll see Chubby was buzzing one day in
- 2:53the dirt. He heard someone moan.
- 2:55Please help me, I'm hurt. Before his bee eyes was a wasp
- 3:00looking sad. The wasp had been beaten.
- 3:03Beaten real bad, Chubby's first thought was.
- 3:06Quick, buzz away. It's a wasp.
- 3:09We don't like them. All bees would say his whole
- 3:12life, he thought. Wasps are ugly and mean.
- 3:16But now here's a wasp and he's nice, so it seems.
- 3:20What happened? Buzzed chubby.
- 3:22Who knocked you down? Was it a tree that knocked you
- 3:25to the ground? Were you not looking?
- 3:28Is that why you're hurt? He asked the sad wasp, all
- 3:31covered in dirt. I was flying.
- 3:34The wasp moaned painfully. When a bird swooping down bumped
- 3:39into me and sent me tumbling onto the ground.
- 3:42Here I've been waiting, praying to be found.
- 3:46I just buzzed. By Chubby said.
- 3:48So I stopped. I have to admit, the first thing
- 3:51I thought was how Wasps are ugly and Wasps are mean.
- 3:56But you're really nice, or so it may seem.
- 3:59The wasp answered. Chubby, I thought.
- 4:01Bees were dumb. They just make honey.
- 4:04They never have fun. So what were you doing out here
- 4:07anyway? Chubby just smiled.
- 4:10I was out here to play but you need some help so just wait
- 4:14right here. I'll be right back with my Bee
- 4:18first aid year. The wasp buzzed.
- 4:20Wait before you up and go. Why would you help a hurt wasp
- 4:24you don't know? Chubby was stunned by the
- 4:27question he heard. Why did he care?
- 4:30And then out popped a word. Loving.
- 4:33Yes, loving. It's what all bees should be.
- 4:36He looked at the wasp and said lovingly.
- 4:39I'm helping you 'cause it's the right thing to do if I'm ever
- 4:42hurt, I hope you'd help me too. Chubby returned with band aids
- 4:47galore. The Wasp could now fly, though
- 4:50he was still sore. In Jesus name.
- 4:54Chubby started to pray. God bless my wasp friend.
- 4:57Pain go away. The wasp looked at Chubby.
- 5:01Thank you. Dear Bea.
- 5:02You really are. Loving.
- 5:03And flew off pain free. Hey, Stacy, what are you doing?
- 5:16I'm hiding from my friend. Are you playing hide and seek?
- 5:19No, I stole her doll so I could play with it.
- 5:23Stacy, you shouldn't steal your friends doll.
- 5:26Stealing is wrong. Did I say steal?
- 5:29I meant I borrowed her doll and I'm going to give it back when
- 5:34I'm done playing with it. Stacy, it's still not right.
- 5:38I'm going to give it back as soon as I'm finished playing
- 5:43with it. Stacy, how would you like it if
- 5:45I took something that belonged to you?
- 5:47Oh, like the time you took my peanut butter and Jelly sandwich
- 5:50out of my lunch bag and then you ate it.
- 5:52Yeah, like that. And you told Mama me because you
- 5:55didn't like me doing it. You shouldn't have taken my
- 5:58sandwich. You're right, I shouldn't have
- 6:00taken your sandwich because I wouldn't like it if you took my
- 6:04sandwich out of my lunch and ate it.
- 6:06We're supposed to do to others as we would like them to do to
- 6:10us. But if your friend was the one
- 6:12taking your doll, how would you feel?
- 6:15I wouldn't like it. So maybe instead of taking
- 6:18something, you should ask permission to play with it.
- 6:20But she already told me I couldn't play with it.
- 6:24So what should you do? I shouldn't play with it because
- 6:28if it was my doll and I told her not to to play with it, I
- 6:31wouldn't want her sneaking around and taking my doll to
- 6:33play with it either. That's exactly right.
- 6:37So what am I supposed to play with?
- 6:39Well, you can find something else to play with, just look
- 6:42around. Besides, if your friend sees how
- 6:44nice you are and that you treat your toys well, maybe someday
- 6:48she'll let you play with it. Thanks, Casey.
- 6:51I'm going to go take it back to her and tell her I'm sorry.
- 6:54Good idea due to others as you would like them to do to you.
- 7:02Would you say that you love your friends?
- 7:05I do. In fact, I want to do nice
- 7:08things for my friends. It's really easy to do nice
- 7:12things for our friends. It's even really easy to do nice
- 7:16things for people who are nice to us.
- 7:20If one of our friends were hurt, we'd want to give them a
- 7:22Band-Aid to help them feel better.
- 7:26What if we saw a stranger that was hurting?
- 7:29Would you give them a Band-Aid to help them feel better?
- 7:34What if they were hurting on the inside?
- 7:38Our words are like band aids or sharp rocks.
- 7:42We can say nice things that help others feel good, or we can say
- 7:47mean things that hurt people. It's really easy to say nice
- 7:53things to people who are nice to us or people we like, but what
- 7:58about people who are mean to us? Sometimes it's really hard to
- 8:03say nice things to people who don't like us, but it's
- 8:07important that we treat others the way that we want to be
- 8:11treated. Our memory verse today is Luke
- 8:14631. Do to others as you would like
- 8:19them to do to you. Can you say that with me?
- 8:22OK, repeat after me. Say do to others.
- 8:25Do to others as you would like them as you.
- 8:28Would like. Them to do to you to do to.
- 8:31You. One more time do to others.
- 8:34Do to others as you would like them, as you would like them to
- 8:38do to you to do to. You.
- 8:41It's important that we treat everybody kindly.
- 8:46Wouldn't you want somebody to be nice to you when they thought
- 8:50you look different, or you sound different, or you act different?
- 8:56If you want people to be good to you, it's important that we
- 8:59first be kind to them. Remember Luke 631 Do to others
- 9:07as you would have them or like them to do to you.
- 9:14I thought we would check on my friend Ernest the handyman.
- 9:18Ernest. Hey Casey, you're just in time.
- 9:21I need your help putting on this Band-Aid.
- 9:24I got a Boo Boo on my finger. Sure, I'd be glad to.
- 9:28How did it happen? Well had a hammer in one hand
- 9:32and a nail in the other. My plan was to hit the nail with
- 9:35a hammer. Everything was going according
- 9:37to plan till my finger got in the way.
- 9:40That should fix it. Thanks, Casey.
- 9:43You're a regular Good Samaritan. Know what I?
- 9:45Mean Good Samaritan. Don't you remember the story
- 9:49Jesus told in the Bible? He was teaching us to love our
- 9:52neighbor. Oh, that Good Samaritan, Can you
- 9:56tell us the story? Once Upon a time there was a man
- 9:59walking along the road on account of his truck was broke
- 10:02down. Some guys jumped him and beat
- 10:04him up real bad. Gave him a black eye for sure.
- 10:08He hurt so bad he just laid on the ground hoping someone would
- 10:11come help him. Well a preacher came by.
- 10:15Do you know what he did? Him being a preacher and all?
- 10:17I bet you can't guess. He just walked by the man.
- 10:20He just walked by the man with a hey, did I already tell you this
- 10:24story? No, I've read it in the Bible.
- 10:27I'm good for you, Casey. Well, next along comes another
- 10:30guy that worked for the church and he sees the man with a black
- 10:33eye. Guess what he done?
- 10:35But you can't. He just walked by the man too.
- 10:38Are you sure I didn't tell you this already?
- 10:40I'm sure. Well, next comes a Samaritan.
- 10:43I think they called him that because he had a summer tan, a
- 10:47good summer tan, and when the tan guy saw the man with the
- 10:51black eye put a Band-Aid on all his cuts and bruises, then he
- 10:55let him have a ride on his donkey.
- 10:57They took him to a hotel and paid for him to stay there for a
- 11:00couple of nights till his black eye and all his other cuts and
- 11:03bruises went away. Ernest.
- 11:05Did you know that the man who got beat up was a Jew?
- 11:08And the Jewish people hated the Samaritan people, and the
- 11:12Samaritan people hated the Jewish people.
- 11:15I did not know that. That interesting fact makes this
- 11:18story even better. Know what I mean, Casey?
- 11:21I think so. So who do you think the neighbor
- 11:24was? That's what Jesus asked the
- 11:26people. Who was the good neighbor?
- 11:28Casey? The Good Samaritan.
- 11:30That's right, the guy with the band aids in the good Summer
- 11:34tan. You know why I did it, Casey?
- 11:37You know we had a Good Samaritan put band aids on the guy with a
- 11:39black eye. Why?
- 11:41Because of that verse in the Bible.
- 11:43Luke 631 says do to others as you would like them to do to.
- 11:48You. That's good to know, Ernest.
- 11:50Do you want me to put a Band-Aid on you Casey?
- 11:52Because you helped put one on my Boo Boo, so I can help put one
- 11:55on you. When I need a Band-Aid, you'll
- 11:58be the first person I'll come see.
- 12:01Thanks, Ernest. Well, let's get our hearts and
- 12:09minds ready to learn the Bible verse.
- 12:11Hey, Casey, I'm ready as usual. I'm going to get this Bible
- 12:16verse inside of me. OK guys, I'm glad to hear that
- 12:20this verse is called the Golden Rule.
- 12:23The Golden. Rule.
- 12:25That's right, Woo. Hoo I got.
- 12:27It right brain, that wasn't the verse.
- 12:31It wasn't. That's just what the verse is
- 12:34called. The verse is found in Luke 631.
- 12:38Due to others, as you would like them to do to you.
- 12:44Let's say it together, kids due to others.
- 12:48Due. To.
- 12:49Others as you would like them. As you would like them.
- 12:53To do to you. To do to you.
- 12:55Now you try it, brain. Do your mother's like to cook
- 12:59ham for you? That's the old red mule.
- 13:02Do you mean the Golden rule? Oh yeah, what did I say?
- 13:07You said the old red mule. Why would I say that?
- 13:11That's what I keep wondering. Did I get the verse wrong too?
- 13:15Yeah. Let's say it again, kids due to
- 13:19others. Due to others.
- 13:21As you would like them. As you would like them.
- 13:24To do to you to do to. You oh, due to others, I said
- 13:32mothers. I'm funny.
- 13:37All this time I thought you were hard of hearing, but you're just
- 13:41trying to be funny. What's the?
- 13:43Bible verse I forgot. Kids, let's say it again, due to
- 13:49others. Due to others as you.
- 13:51Would like them as you would like them to.
- 13:53Do to you to do to you. Luke 6. 31 due to.
- 13:57Others as. You would like them?
- 13:58To do to you Luke 631 due to others as you would like them to
- 14:02do to you. Luke 630.
- 14:05One due to others, as you would like them to do to you.
- 14:10Good job, brain. Thanks, Heart.
- 14:13Now it's time for today's Bible story.
- 14:15I. Can't wait to to hear it.
- 14:17And I can't wait to do it. It's the hearer.
- 14:20And the doer of. God's.
- 14:23Word. Who's blessed?
- 14:34Love your neighbor as yourself. Who is my neighbor?
- 14:38The man asked Jesus. Jesus answered by telling this
- 14:41story. A man was going to Jerusalem
- 14:44when he was attacked by robbers, leaving him half dead.
- 14:51Oh. Help somebody please.
- 14:55When I get to church, I will tell all the.
- 14:58People help me. There's a naked.
- 15:03Man on the. Ground.
- 15:05Help me, I cannot. Believe it no.
- 15:09Decency these days put some. Clothes on.
- 15:15Help somebody please. Was that?
- 15:21My boss that. Just walked.
- 15:22By here. I'd better hurry.
- 15:25Help. Whoa.
- 15:27You must be hurt. You're.
- 15:28Bleeding help me I'll. Get all bloody and have to go
- 15:33home to clean up, then I'll really be late for work.
- 15:38Pretend you didn't see me. Help somebody please.
- 15:45Lord have mercy. What?
- 15:47Happened to you. Help me.
- 15:51Of course I will help you. If I were you and you were me,
- 15:56I'd want you to help. Me.
- 15:58Come on. I needed help once I didn't have
- 16:07Jesus in my heart when I was little and I found out that God
- 16:11loved me so much, He sent his Son Jesus to die for my sins.
- 16:16And if I would just ask Jesus to come live in my heart, I could
- 16:19go to heaven and be with Jesus when I die.
- 16:22Maybe you need God's help to go to heaven.
- 16:25All you have to do is pray and ask Jesus into your heart.
- 16:29I can pray with you right now, dear God, dear.
- 16:33God. Thanks for sending Jesus.
- 16:35Thanks for sending. Jesus.
- 16:38To die for my sins. To die for my sins, Jesus come
- 16:43into my heart. Jesus.
- 16:44Came. Into my life.
- 16:46Be the boss of my life. Be.
- 16:48The. Boss of my life.
- 16:50In Jesus name In Jesus name, Amen.
- 16:53Amen. Time for spiritual exercises.
- 16:58Everyone stand up on your feet. Here we go.
- 17:01You ready? Repeat after me.
- 17:03Stretch it up real high. I love the Lord.
- 17:07I love the Lord with all my. Heart with all my heart.
- 17:12Now show me your muscles. God is good.
- 17:15God is good. All the time.
- 17:18All the. Time.
- 17:21I'm not afraid. I'm not afraid.
- 17:23God is with me. God.
- 17:25Is with. Me good.
- 17:27Now show me your Superman pose by Jesus stripes.
- 17:32By Jesus stripes. I am healed.
- 17:35I am. Healed.
- 17:36Nice work. Now these are my favorite kinky
- 17:40push ups. Up down, up, down.
- 17:44I love others, I love others. Jesus loves me.
- 17:48Like Jesus loves me. That was a good workout.
- 17:53All right, let's cool it down. Let's stretch it out.
- 17:57I obey my parents. I obey my.
- 18:00Parents for this pleases God for it.
- 18:03Pleases. God, good job kids.
- 18:05Now just shake it out. Shake it out, turn around if you
- 18:08want. Good job kids, I'm proud of you.
- 18:17So one day this homie gets attacked by a gang and they beat
- 18:20him up and leave him lying on the road crying.
- 18:22And so this priest comes and sees the homie lying on the
- 18:25ground, and then crosses the street to go around him.
- 18:29Why didn't he help him? I don't know.
- 18:32Why don't you ask him? Well, what's his name?
- 18:35Whose name? The priest that walked around,
- 18:37the guy that was hurt. I don't know his name.
- 18:39The Bible doesn't say. It's a Bible story.
- 18:44Yeah, it's a story of the good slow meriton the.
- 18:48Good slow meriton. I've never heard of that story.
- 18:52Which is why I'm telling it so Then another guy comes walking
- 18:56by. I think he worked for the church
- 18:58too, but he looked at the homie and didn't want to help the
- 19:00homie either, so he crossed the street and walked away.
- 19:04Shouldn't the people from a church be willing to help
- 19:07someone that's hurting? Right.
- 19:09But they didn't. So then along comes the slow
- 19:12marathon and he sees the homie and says, hey homie, what
- 19:16happened to you? And the homie says some lactose
- 19:18messed me up man, can you help me?
- 19:20And the slow marathon says, See what I have to warn you, I'm a
- 19:24marathon, and a slow one at that.
- 19:26Why did he say that? 'Cause he was really slow, man.
- 19:30Oh, I mean why did he warn him that he was a marathon?
- 19:33I don't know, maybe he smelled funny.
- 19:35Anyway, he takes him to the motel and he the.
- 19:38Motel. Yeah, 'cause he didn't have a
- 19:40hot hospital, I guess. And I think the hotel guy was a
- 19:43doctor because the slow Meritan paid him to take care of the
- 19:46homie. That sounds a lot like the story
- 19:48of the Good Samaritan. I Samaritan, What?
- 19:51What did I say? You said slow Meritan.
- 19:54Well, forget what I said. No, it was still a good story.
- 19:58The person that you thought would be loving the priest and
- 20:02the other guy that worked at the church, they weren't loving at
- 20:05all. It was the guy that no one
- 20:07expected to help. The guy that smelled bad.
- 20:11That actually ended up being a good neighbor because he was
- 20:13loving. That's our word for today, Paco
- 20:16Loving. So the slow Meritan ended up
- 20:19being the Good Samaritan? What?
- 20:21So if you're a fast Meritan, does that make you a bad
- 20:24Samaritan? OK, you're not making any sense
- 20:28at all. So we all need to slow down and
- 20:30help people that are hurting. That's a good point, Luke 631
- 20:36says. Do to others as you would like
- 20:38them to do to you. So slow down and be loving.
- 20:43Yeah, what? He said.
- 20:46Right low and slow. You can hear and see more of
- 20:55Paco and the Fish telling stories about Jesus on your
- 20:59favorite podcast or video platform.
- 21:02Just search for Paco and the Fish.
- 21:12Casey, you know what my favorite part of the clubhouse was today?
- 21:17Tell me, Fuzzy, what was your favorite part?
- 21:20I I liked it when Brain was writing an old red mule.
- 21:25Brain wasn't writing an old red mule.
- 21:28He was trying to quote the Golden Rule.
- 21:31The golden rule? That sounds important.
- 21:35It is. It tells us to treat others the
- 21:38way we want to be treated. That's what we learned.
- 21:41Today, that's not what I learned.
- 21:43What did you learn today, Fuzzy? I learned where fish keep their
- 21:48money. Where do fish keep their money?
- 21:51In a riverbank. Get it, Riverbank.
- 21:55I get it. So tell me more about this old
- 21:58red mule. The Golden Rule.
- 22:01Oh, that's right, treat others the way you want to be treated.
- 22:06That's right. So if I I want everyone to be
- 22:09nice to me. Then you have to be nice to
- 22:12everybody. What if I'm nice to someone and
- 22:15they're not nice back to me? You keep being nice.
- 22:19You don't treat others the way they treat you.
- 22:22You treat others the way you want to be treated.
- 22:25I want everyone to share their toys with me.
- 22:28Then you have to share your toys with everybody.
- 22:31But I don't want to share my toys.
- 22:34It doesn't work that way. Fuzzy do to others as you would
- 22:39like them to do to you. Luke 631.
- 22:43Can you say that Fuzzy? Do to others as you would like
- 22:47them to do to you. Luke 631.
- 22:50Very good. Now say goodbye, Fuzzy.
- 22:53Goodbye, Fuzzy. Goodbye kids, see you next time
- 22:58at the Jesus and Me Clubhouse. See you back again at Casey's
- 23:06Clubhouse. It's the place we learn God's
- 23:09Word. Till we meet again at Casey's
- 23:13Clubhouse, let's be doers of what we've heard.
