- 0:04[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to Three Yards Perkati, a podcast covering the Miami Dolphins and the NFL.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_00]: Now, here's your host, Chris, Alf, and Simon.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_02]: And we're on.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_02]: I'm Alfredo Ritega.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_02]: This is not Simon Clancy.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_02]: I almost said this is Simon Clancy.
- 0:23[SPEAKER_02]: This is Chris Kaufman.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_02]: With you, Simon Clancy is in Madrid, or he's in transit to Madrid, because it's Thursday.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's going to be there by tomorrow.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_02]: So we will have boots on the ground, which is to say he gets to enjoy Madrid and we don't.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_02]: We got to watch around TV.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_02]: But as always, we're brought to you by 305800 paying.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_02]: And if you've checked the mood, if you remember by Discord, by the way, you could you could take the temperature of Simon Clancy.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't know if this is making me feel good about the proceedings or not, but he seems almost optimistic.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not used to it to this too much.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't know if this is a
- 1:02[SPEAKER_02]: 305800 pain is no longer such a great title sponsor, but they will remain our sponsor for the rest of the season.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_02]: Better business bureau accredited with an A plus rating, your car accident personal injury specialist, fast connections with trusted doctors and attorneys, always ready to take your call, 247 again, 305800 pain, 305800 pain.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_02]: You've picked up on Simon's
- 1:31[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, he's kind of eight and seven.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but not an optimistic way.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_01]: That's insane.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_01]: He's talking about, he's talking about going eight and seven, so that they can break our hearts at the very end and go, you know, and, or, well, I think he said seven to seven and maybe eight and seven, like at a certain point, but then end up, you know, just totally eight and nine.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_01]: You know, like, like,
- 2:00[SPEAKER_01]: you know it's the dolphins right so it's we have a saying and in the market you know the market tends toward the path that produces the most pain for the most amount of people.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, and you know, so all these people that are just like Permabairs or something like that, you know, that that just are waiting, but they're always thinking that the market has ever reason to go down.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_01]: The economy is going about to go tanking, you know, stuff like that.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_01]: The market will go up just to make those people angry.
- 2:36[SPEAKER_01]: And, and I think the dolphins do something very similar.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_01]: You know, they suck when you want them to be good.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_01]: win when you want them to get when you have resigned yourself to them sucking and now you want them to get draft position.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_01]: And then when they will win to such a degree that they might even end up quote unquote in the hunt at which point they will quickly resume losing again.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_01]: and break your heart for the fourth time of the year, you know, and that's just, that's, that's the way they go, you know, and, and it's just, and I wonder why we're cursed with, uh, with this sometimes because, you know, you look at, you look at the, the division now, of course we, we've, we've always been dealing with Josh Allen, um, but now you look at how Drake may is playing in New England.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_01]: be like the the jets.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if they're going to get for random and those are not, but you know, kind of they're they're trending that way.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_01]: They certainly have an entire arsenal of picks and 26 and first round picks that is in 26 and 27, five of them.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_01]: I believe to
- 3:55[SPEAKER_01]: You know, make something happen in that regard if they're going to walk out with them does.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know are they're going to walk out with one of the good ones that we're talking about for 27 maybe maybe that's more likely.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_01]: But here we are we can't get this contract out of our way with with to you know, we.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_01]: and sort of the maximum pain thing there is like, yeah, we've convinced ourselves that two needs to go because of a talent thing, right?
- 4:27[SPEAKER_01]: Like, it was an injury thing.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_01]: It was a concussion thing.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_01]: It was, you know, I still believe that, but, but now everybody's like, no, no, he needs to go because of a talent thing.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_01]: Well, here's what's gonna happen.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_01]: He's gonna perform well.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_01]: in some of these games.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_01]: And then it's like, oh, we don't need to get rid of him.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_01]: He was just on a shitty team.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he wasn't like the offense.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_01]: The offense was going through some bumps.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, he's playing better now and maybe this contract isn't.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_01]: isn't such a bad deal and isn't so awful.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe we can't get away with playing it playing on it again next year and then and then go from there when the guaranteed money dries up and you have exit ramps, you know, off ramps from that contract if you want to use them.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_01]: But no, no, the maximum pain would be for him to turn things around that way, play well, convince people of that and then get knocked out.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_01]: And then the concussion is she's go back and go back into full in the full view again that
- 5:33[SPEAKER_01]: is what I can just about guarantee happens because it's the only thing that would cause us the absolute most pain.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well, that's why I'm for a complete split of the baby and making 2026 to his last year as the bona fide starter and I would be in that quarterback market for 2026 this coming season.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_02]: This season.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, this season.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_02]: Like I'm beginning to be more and more sold on tail and green, I've told you that already.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_02]: The more I watch him, I keep thinking about his team where he's playing and how he would be perceived if he was on I don't know, give me a floor.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_02]: How about Florida?
- 6:16[SPEAKER_02]: What if he was the Gator's quarterback?
- 6:18[SPEAKER_01]: Well, the Florida Florida is interesting because like, you know, I don't feel any more confident They're just because they've had bad coaching
- 6:27[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, they have a good program, but they have bad coaching, you know, tail and greens issue, tail of greens issue in art can saw is a little bit like complicated just because, you know, he's coached by Bobby Patrino, I think that's a good, I think that's solid.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's that's a solid offensive coaching and.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, solid for his features and then I know that Patrino in the past that like, oh, a Bobby Patrino guy, you know, no, I don't think that's accurate.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_01]: I think that I think that's a plus for his NFL future, but it's it's good.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_01]: So it's good offensive coaching by Patrino and if you look at it, I mean, Isaac to slow was was on his team last year and Andrew Armstrong, who we were pretty high on.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_01]: You know, as far as a UDFA wide receiver at one point, I mean, he showed some things in college.
- 7:21[SPEAKER_01]: So he, he did have some receiver talent there.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_01]: And, um, and if you watch them, and that patrino offense, they got a running game, too.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_01]: And they always have a running game under patrino.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, now I don't think you necessarily throw into great guys, but I don't think you're throwing an awful guy's either and they do have that run game what they don't have is a defense to back him up, right.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_01]: And just overall you kind of question them.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_01]: the direction and quality of the team.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_01]: But you know, he kind of split apart the parts and you're just like, well, maybe he should be succeeding more.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_01]: That's sort of where I kind of come out on him is I'm very high on his future.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_01]: I think that he keeps getting better and I think he's highly motivated.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_01]: He's great.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_01]: He's a great personality smart kid.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_01]: He demanded that his coaches, you know, install that one of those VR heads set things that Jaden Daniels use.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_01]: I think that that's the smart move on his part.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and he's also, you know, just disguise six foot what six five and chiseled and, um, and, you know, and runs probably a four four and has a huge arm, you know, so, and, and a nice, I think a nice delivery.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_01]: Um, so, you know, overall that the talent is there for he's like a Randall Cunningham.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_01]: And that's why I've always compared him to, um, but, you know, then again, there's, there's this little thing that you're like, well, Hawk Army.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot of Aaron Brooks.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot of Aaron Brooks as well.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_01]: There's some Aaron Brooks I get you there too.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and for those of you that are looking for ledges to jump off of Aaron Brooks was a very, very good rookie and second year player.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, he's just one of these guys.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_02]: It just bad circumstance.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_02]: You fade out.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_02]: And you have a bad career.
- 9:19[SPEAKER_01]: Well, he faded out.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, that's I guess that would be the concern with tail and green.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_01]: You know, does he keep getting better does he keep.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_01]: It's it's going to be all about the the intelligence and the make up and the way it works and things like that.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_01]: But, but yeah, certainly certainly this guy is the one of those guys that's just like a total alien, right, you know, in terms of.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_01]: you look around the league and you're looking for those guys you're looking for what Josh you know for as much as Josh Allen's in the bill struggled on offense there were some drives there where you could see it where they were tired of you know messing around
- 9:58[SPEAKER_01]: a screwing around and not having any success.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_01]: And so Josh Allen is just a little while I'm just going to do it.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_02]: And he did it.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_02]: The bill's best play on Sunday was the 4th and 17.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_02]: I'll run around for 30 seconds play.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it was always fun watching.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_02]: He can do it.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_02]: It's fun watching Kenneth Grant just chase him like stop chasing him.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm going to catch him.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_01]: You know, not going to catch him.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, he has, I mean, because then think about this with tail and green, like even more so he's got and he's got that four four feet.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_01]: He is a better quarterback.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_01]: We, what's the, what's the kids name up and, and the, and the, and the, and the, the one that came out of Florida.
- 10:42[SPEAKER_01]: Anthony Richardson Anthony Richardson he's a better quarterback than Anthony Richardson ever was at Florida and and yet he has the same I would say the same physical abilities and so
- 11:12[SPEAKER_01]: is going to come out, almost nobody.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, almost because Fernando Mendoza is probably the one who will come out.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_01]: But in a draft, we're almost nobody who can come out, actually will come out.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_01]: You could end up looking at a guy like Taylor and Greene who rises to the first round.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_01]: And it's absolutely the case.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_01]: But, you know, there's going to be plenty of time to talk about quarterback, but there's another guy in North Dakota State that I'm looking at and Cole Payton, who's who also has sort of those alien abilities.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_01]: Um, and that's, that's going to be, that's going to be an intriguing situation because it's only a one year starter at North Dakota State, you know, that's the S. So, um, so it's like what's this name all over again, the, um, the guy went to the Eagles, um, Yeah.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_01]: Like Carson Carson once, it's Carson went all over again.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Carson once had kind of like the alien abilities.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_01]: But he was at North Dakota State and he was like a one-year starter.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_01]: And so how much could you really know about him?
- 12:18[SPEAKER_01]: Well, Cole Payton is going to go as high as Carson once.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_01]: Same might be worth taking a shot off, but yeah, it's going to be interesting.
- 12:27[SPEAKER_01]: You know, speaking of those quarterbacks, the that the dolphins could be interested in because they're no longer probably looking at that topic.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_02]: Where they could try and get Mendoza or something like that yeah, and somebody was telling me Oh my god, if you're just gonna pun you know on on the quarterback you could just get into you Had to take one in the second round this year Not necessarily if you're convinced that there's a quarterback for you You could use whatever that pic's gonna be the 13th Yeah, yeah, or
- 12:58[SPEAKER_02]: You could just move a pick from 27 on to 26 trade your first like there's teams that are really let's face Do you think that the Eagles like let's say the Eagles bust out in the divisional round and they got 25
- 13:13[SPEAKER_02]: You think the Eagles give a crap about a first from pick?
- 13:16[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 13:17[SPEAKER_02]: They might give you pick 25 for your pick 27, just banking on, you know what?
- 13:22[SPEAKER_02]: They might be bad.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_02]: And we might improve next year.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_02]: That might be a move that how we rose when I do, you know?
- 13:27[SPEAKER_02]: And maybe we buy it with another third rompick or something like that.
- 13:29[SPEAKER_02]: So you're gonna build up some things like that.
- 13:32[SPEAKER_01]: Also, I think this draft is going to be a little bit unique because it's very top light and the quarterback class, you know, as I said before, everybody can get return to school probably will with the exception windows, so he's going to go number one over all so it's it's kind of irrelevant there, so it's top light, which means that you could be looking at.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_01]: You know, who knows a tail and green gets, gets actual traction with the scouts or if they, you know, when, when there's like sort of the, this, this tearing that's like, okay, it's just windows and nobody else.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_01]: At least, you know, at most, anyway, I should say, sometimes that happens like sometimes that happens like when you when there's when there's clear tearing like that and there isn't somebody like a, you know, Jackson dart that somebody's going to fall in love with or you know that way.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_01]: Then sometimes it's just like, well, we're all just going to take a break until around three or even round four.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_01]: You know, and some of these guys that that we would have been talking about in the draft that are like, oh, yeah, he's a second round guy and he's like, why, he just went and ran for around five, you know, like, and I think that this draft could be like that and if that is the case, then there are some there are some guys would genuine genuine talent like tail and green, I don't know if Tyson some returns or not, but, you know, and then also like, I don't know how high you're going to go, I think he's
- 15:10[SPEAKER_01]: He's overstated a little bit right now, personal opinion, but tail and green jail and Daniels talked about him forever, Cole Peyton, you know, there's a new guy, there's a new guy, has gotten popular, Brandon Sorris be that, you know, people are going to take a look at.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I think, and of course Drew Allar, you know, some people are going to convince themselves, you know, hey, this kid would have been a first round pick every came out before I'm getting a deal, you know, like, um, so, so I mean, like there's there's going to be some guys I really think jailing Daniels is a great is a really good quarterback.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_01]: I think tail and green is a really good quarterback.
- 15:44[SPEAKER_01]: I think Cole Peyton is a really good quarterback.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_01]: Um, so, you know, if you could get one of those guys in the mid rounds to, you know, develop and even, even under, in a Mike McDaniel offense develop, I would, you know, I'd look forward to that.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_01]: I would mind seeing, you know, what he could do with talents like that, um,
- 16:07[SPEAKER_01]: certainly going to be better than quintuers, I think, you know, while that's my opinion, I've never really rated them very high.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, but you hear some people talk and like, oh my god, you know, this guy's going here and that guy's going there, I'm fond of saying at this time of the year and even into, into February.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_02]: And even into the senior ball, nobody really knows anything because I don't mind everybody.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_02]: I remind everybody to run up to that draft with Michael Pentech's junior, and where everybody was sliding, and even people at the senior ball talking about Michael Pentech's junior.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, he's he's firmly in the second round.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm just going to get a steal in the second round.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he went ninth of the roll and then what and then what right and then he happens all the time, but the combat.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_02]: He showed up at the combat to be fair.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_02]: He showed up at the combat and he dazzled.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_02]: He dazzled everybody with his arms strength.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_02]: with his accuracy, and all it takes is one team to say, yes, you know, and that's it.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, and he goes in the first round in the top 10.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_01]: Well, what about, what about, um, what's his name?
- 17:08[SPEAKER_01]: The, uh, the, uh, the, best example of this is EJ manual going in the first draft.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_01]: You know, and, and so like, but look out, look out, look at where Tyler
- 17:25[SPEAKER_01]: 3rd or 4th round pick or something like that.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_01]: And the phone next.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_01]: Phone next.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody over there.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody had bone next going to the equals to be.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_02]: Jaila Hertz is back up like at pick 30 and the Broncos were like, no, no, no, no, no, we're trading up to go get bone next.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that what you don't realize that with guys like that that that that rise that high is is that is how much there is going on behind the scenes that we don't have access to in terms of their intelligence testing and their their interviews and their board work and things like that.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_01]: And that's where the teams really will fall in love with a guy when they're convinced that it's not just okay, you've got talent, you've got talent, but also based on our testing of you, you've got a trajectory to like, and that's where, you know, teams will fall in love and it can be, it can be a mistake, but it can also, you know, can also work out some of these guys, some of these guys really do work out.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_01]: right now.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, last year, last year, Sam and I, we were, we were watching Colorado State Colorado tape to to see to watch shitter Sanders at the same time.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_02]: He was bombing interviews at the, at the combine and then ghosting some people, including the Miami Dolphin.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_01]: So, so yeah, but I think you never know as much as you think you know, but I do know one thing and that is that is that Mendoza
- 18:58[SPEAKER_01]: He's QB1.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to go number one overall.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's the one thing that I do know.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_01]: But there's not that much.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_01]: There's not that much else that that can be known about this QB class right now.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, by the way, that's that's something that we talked about on our on our discord and that's discord dot gg forward slash only fins right there under my name you could join there for 499 a month all access Do it on a desktop avoid the apple up charges.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_02]: We talked about this.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_02]: There was a time on day two when
- 19:33[SPEAKER_02]: Mike McDaniel called Jitter Sanders camp and his report back to Chris Greer and Chris Greer asked him so how did it go?
- 19:43[SPEAKER_02]: Mike McDaniel's report was I don't know.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, I don't know what actually happened.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_02]: I talked to like, I don't know.
- 19:49[SPEAKER_02]: People.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't talk to shit or even his father or anybody.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't even get to talk to Dion.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_01]: I think I think I talked to Shiloh.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_02]: So he was like, and that story was everywhere.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_02]: That's the, from teams where they're like, I don't know.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_02]: And it turned out that he was purposely ghosting teams that had quarterbacks.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_02]: because he sums up as a day one starter.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_02]: So he probably said, oh, the dolphins are calling.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_02]: Oh no.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_01]: That they just signed to do almost everything that's happened which you do or I almost I almost think that it's like, you can't you can't write a skip.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_01]: where a guy attempts to sabotage himself more than what Shidorah has done over the past year.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_01]: And it's pretty amazing, it's also kind of sad.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_01]: And I know that there are people that still stick up for him and say, you know, I think he's a pretty good quarterback too.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, but there's no question in my mind.
- 20:53[SPEAKER_01]: Like,
- 20:54[SPEAKER_01]: You know, at what point do you just say, you know, I'm sorry, but like you're sticking up for them and you're you're trying to say that, you know, the the standards that people hold these kids to and and the way that they want them to behave.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_01]: It's sort of like, you know, the Cleveland brands with with Baker Mayfield.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_01]: like they tried to make Baker Mayfield into something he wasn't and he's a great player in Tampa Bay because they get they let him be the player that he is and and so I get that but I think that should doer is just at such a level of, you know, being his own man so to speak that that it's just like I what point do you just say okay don't stop being fucking stupid.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_01]: Just stop being stupid, you know, like because there's a way to do it, there's a way to be yourself and and then there's a way to, you know, to, to, to do it quite Dumbly and and I think he's crossed that line a couple of times and and I think that in that that's unfortunate because I think he could be he could have been a, you know, his career maybe over for all I know, he could have been a pretty good quarterback.
- 22:04[SPEAKER_01]: I do, I think, and I support him being his own man, and acting, you know, acting, how he feels he needs to act, but I don't support being an idiot about it.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but he's also that cautionary tale of the helicopter parent, like those things hardly ever work out.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_02]: Now, I don't, I don't think I buy that.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think, I don't think, I don't think Dion has anything to do with it.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_01]: I think
- 22:31[SPEAKER_01]: I think I think this is all should or it's it's you know, yeah, it's maybe it's deon speaking through him.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, but like I think from everything I've heard, it's it's this is should or this is just kind of who he is and you know, he's he's so insistent on, you know, being his own thing and and you know, being a unique individual.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_01]: at that they're, you know, he just does very, very strange things and questionable things.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, yeah.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's his funeral.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_01]: You know, and that's an unfortunate part.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to get to this game here in the second half of the show.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_02]: But first, let me tell you, I've been reading the, the why is everything and I'm slowly morphing into a
- 23:27[SPEAKER_02]: Chris.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_02]: I can tell.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_02]: I'm loving it.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like all in with this, this Mike McDaniel thing.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_02]: And our store is also now all in on this Mike McDaniel thing because
- 23:43[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_02]: That.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_02]: That is our start.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_02]: We've sold a couple of t-shirts with, you know, the first day went okay.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_02]: If the first day goes like, if every day goes like the first day, this could be our second hit.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_02]: At our store, go to onlyfins.printify.me.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_02]: And you can get that share from 1999.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_02]: Now.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_02]: to be fair that's a pretty great shirt and if only they would win us a little bit more and get people a little bit more excited I'm sure it would be more popular it's available by the way this shirt is available in white and aqua as well so go get it you know we even have our little label look at that look how cool that is we have our little label inside this shirt you know and there's the only fins logo so yeah go get that shirt
- 24:34[SPEAKER_02]: And it's 1999 and like we're not trying to get rich off anybody.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_02]: We just want to wearing our stuff Okay, so we're gonna go break and we'll come back.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_02]: We will talk commanders in Madrid and dolphins, but first these words And we're back.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_02]: All right The news coming out of the commanders is that
- 24:56[SPEAKER_02]: and I love to get your input on this.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_02]: Since I've been reading this, this book, The Why Is Everything by Michael Silver again.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_02]: By the way, Michael Silver, I'm reading his book, I'm pretty certain he hates me.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_01]: Michael Silver hates you.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm pretty certain he hates hates me pretty sure Michael Silver doesn't know who I am and that I speak to somebody who has actually talked back and forth with him on Twitter Yeah, but I'm pretty sure he didn't know who I am because he had me blocked once and then I checked again, and I'm not blocked again.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_02]: So he had me blocked for some reasons.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_02]: So
- 25:41[SPEAKER_02]: Shanan tree tends to own Dan coin and has been owning Dan coin for a while.
- 25:49[SPEAKER_02]: Mike McDaniel himself is one and all against Dan coin.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_02]: Dan coin was the DC of the Dallas Cowboys that famous win down here.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody's like, oh my god, they kick five vehicles.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_02]: But of those five vehicles, 250 orders, the rest were chipped shots inside of the red zone.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_02]: So they just stalled out a historically very good red zone offense that year just happened to stall three times inside the red zone.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_02]: If not, it could have been ugly for the Dallas Cowboys that day.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_02]: San Francisco has destroyed Dan Quinn B fences traditionally.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_02]: It's mostly covered three.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_02]: He is taking over play calling duties this week for the commanders there are some changes that well he is the head coach so he's going to claim a lot of these changes
- 26:42[SPEAKER_02]: you know who's moved from the slot to the boundary now?
- 26:46[SPEAKER_01]: No, no.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no, I've been agony.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_02]: So we get to see no, I've been agony out there.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_01]: On the other side, swimmingly.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_02]: So, yes, I will be watching Jalen Water whenever he lines up over, I believe he wears number nine still.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_02]: So, whenever he lines up over nine, that's gonna be something else.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_02]: Mike and Sam are still had a great season last year.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_02]: And that's a good dis year.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_02]: You look at the rest of that defense, and we're gonna start here when the dolphins have the football.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_02]: The rest of that defense, to rompains, thrown punches, at Armon Ross A.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_02]: Brown, he could help them.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, Van Miller or the corpse of Van Miller.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_02]: Look at that defense and what do they really have?
- 27:28[SPEAKER_02]: I like my Mickey Sammer still.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_02]: They have two very good inside linebackers.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_02]: Frankie Loubou, Bobby Wagner, those guys are studs.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_02]: They should be good, filling and scraping.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_02]: Which means, yeah, we're back to this.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_02]: We gotta get our outside zone run game going.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_02]: Is that too simplistic?
- 27:49[SPEAKER_02]: What would go on with this on Sunday's game?
- 27:53[SPEAKER_01]: You know, this is this is one where I actually think that I actually think that if you look at their makeup and And
- 28:01[SPEAKER_01]: how they expect to play.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_01]: I think that we are going to have to make a and the passing game on this one, you know, and I think that this is usually we're all like, hey, if the Dolphins establish, if the Dolphins commit, not even established, just commit to the run game, then everything really flows off of that.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_01]: And I do think,
- 28:23[SPEAKER_01]: This time it's not so much going to be that I think that it's going to have to be as you suggest the passing game taking advantage of that cover three in unique ways and you know the the one thing that.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_01]: So I remember when they played the commander's a couple of years ago and the thing that stood out to me was the easy access that the commander's defense allows, you know, this in terms of spacing and
- 28:56[SPEAKER_01]: physicality and stuff like that.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think it's like that anymore.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_01]: So I actually do think that there could be a fair defense of showing in the offing for the commanders here.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_01]: I do think that Dan Quinn taking over the play calling, suddenly they're going to get a pop out of that.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't know that this is going to be a game one
- 29:24[SPEAKER_01]: Miami's offense, and war with Miami dominating the ground the way they did last week.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_01]: I think that it's going to be more about Miami's passing game and whether, you know, to is up to the task and whether the offense is up to the task traveling overseas.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_01]: And that's the big question.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_01]: You know, that's the big, that's the big two-faced, you know, aspect of the dolphins is which offense is going to actually show up today.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_01]: Because they are very different offenses.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_01]: The one that will show up sometimes and and do what they did last week and the one that will show up to Cleveland and you know, against Cleveland and and do whatever that was.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_01]: You know, and and so I think that the the one thing that I've pointed out is is that Mike McDaniel's history is one where, you know, he is not been able to get his team specifically his offense ready to play in unusual circumstances and when I say unusual circumstances.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_01]: I mean,
- 30:36[SPEAKER_01]: odd starts night game early morning game international driver west coast travel short week short practice week anything that anything that sort of impacts the practice week or the preparation the offense just tends to show up flat
- 30:55[SPEAKER_01]: And I mean, real flat, like the difference in the difference in offensive output and efficiency from the normal 1pm 4pm type of Sunday game to anything that involves international travel west coast travel shortweek night games, things like that, or cold weather, it's so night and day.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_01]: it's so night and day.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_01]: It's like a switch that flips.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_01]: So he's going to have to prove that that's that's not a thing.
- 31:28[SPEAKER_01]: And that's that may be the case.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he can prove, you know, he can prove that being 6 and 20 in the special circumstance games versus being 25 and 12 in the normal Sunday, 1pm 4pm games is somehow just a fluke.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_01]: Which, you know, it's a small and a sample size that maybe it has a fluke, which by the way, you had me point, you had me do the digging on the against the spread and it's virtually the same against the spread so the split so I mean, you know, he's going to have to prove something and considering everything that Miami should have going for it offensively, since we're talking about the offense, but then we'll talk about the defense too.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_01]: If they do lay an egg in this game, that is a massive data point that's going to say, no, this is not the right coach for you, because this is consistently a problem.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_01]: They should have won this game.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_01]: They should have won this game easily, you know?
- 32:30[SPEAKER_01]: And so we're going to see whether the offense in particular, because that's ground zero.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_01]: That's ground zero of this two-faced thing.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm completely with you.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_02]: We talked about the sun on our discord only friends.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_02]: We went back and forth on it.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_02]: My intention was that I don't think that the cold weather is a thing.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_02]: But I do agree with you about a regular circumstances.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_02]: That is a thing.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_01]: Cold weather has been a thing under Mike McDaniel, but you're saying it's also been a thing just throughout Miami, says three.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, throughout Miami, and I'm talking about from the undefeated team on and I to the point where I was I was like I was going year for year checking every single game, even games and October that were anywhere near it could have been cold to see if it was cold and I noticed the pattern.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_02]: Dolphins were we're putting up big wind totals when they weren't going to the cold in November or December, okay, because when they were going to November or December,
- 33:36[SPEAKER_02]: uh, in the 70s, in the 80s, in the 90s, and now.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_02]: So it really isn't a thing.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's a place style thing, because if you think about it, the sample I was looking at was demo renal passing offenses.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_02]: Sure.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_02]: Like McDaniel passing offenses.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_02]: What's happening to them?
- 33:55[SPEAKER_02]: They're losing.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_01]: And where's where again, where's the ground zero of the loss?
- 34:02[SPEAKER_01]: Because it's not just, you
- 34:05[SPEAKER_01]: It's the offense didn't show up.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_01]: You know?
- 34:10[SPEAKER_02]: Although damn arena ones in a snowstorm threw for over 400 yards and five touchdowns.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, that's lost, but actually actually in the, the, you know, the studies that I did, it wouldn't be surprising to me if like, you know, the, the, the cold studies even boiled down to less less of an offensive disappointment, then what we see under my opinion, what we see under my opinion is clear offensive disappointment.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's a lot like a function, yeah, lack of function on offense and when when they get into these circumstances, and you can't bust an narrative unless you just unless you actually do it, so unless you go out there and you bust it, you know, you could argue that the Buffalo bills can't be the bills thing was an error to bust her and they just did it last week, you know, so.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_01]: you know keep going keep going that way and and see if you can show people that this isn't if it was a thing then it's not a thing anymore.
- 35:12[SPEAKER_01]: That's what you got to do.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and one thing that I have looked in my studies of this for the last six years favorites have 166.6% of games.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_02]: Last year was a historic year for favorites, 71.8% of favorites, one games through 10 weeks, 70.8% of favorites.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't know if that the betting public is gotten really good at this at determining no your loser and your owner, you know what I mean, I don't know if it's the public though because it's the power it's the power ratings and the
- 35:51[SPEAKER_01]: and the analytics crews that set the lines, you know, and the set the lines very early.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_01]: And yes, they can move because the public will go one way or another.
- 36:04[SPEAKER_01]: But a lot of times based on the risk management process, they will allow the public to be completely one-sided on the betting and still not move the line.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it's a fact that people took gargantuan baths last week on the Buffalo Bills because the bills had unusual money line play last week.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_02]: So, there was, I guess there was a lot of people that were like, I was a sucker's bet for, yeah, minus 850?
- 36:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'll take my 100 bucks.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_02]: Here's my, take my 850 bucks and a lot of those people lost money.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_02]: So, yeah, the casino's actually made money last week, because everybody was buying into the bills.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_01]: I would have, I would have bet, you know, heavily, remember when the dolphins beat the falcons and then turn around and it's like, wait, why are the ravens favored by so much in the dolphins house on a short week?
- 37:04[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's stuff like that.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_01]: I would have bet haven't I would have bet the ravens on that one.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_01]: I would have you know that take that line that was a deep line But I'd still I'd still take it like I think that that was I think that that was a good Smart setting of the line there.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't think that the bills line was a good one I thought that I mean that they they were gonna be that was trap game that was I mean what better trap game can there be then a division game
- 37:33[SPEAKER_02]: No, it was also like, and I was asked about this, and I said, no, my am is a great bet in this game.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_02]: Like if, you know, just take those points, take the nine and a half, it's free money.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_02]: And people were looking like I had three heads, and I'm like, buddy, they've covered every game.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_02]: Six out of the last seven games, they've covered against the bills.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_02]: Even while losing.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, even while losing.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_01]: And again, like what better, you know, what better trap opponent is there than a division opponent?
- 38:03[SPEAKER_01]: You know, like the division games don't go the way that you think that they should go, that we know that, like, and yes, just like you point out, like yes, the bills may still come out ahead and win the game, but it's going to be closer than you think because it's a fucking division game.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_02]: Well, Miami is minus two and a half over the commanders this morning.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 38:25[SPEAKER_01]: They started at minus one and a half and I thought that was very curious because they should have everything going for them here.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_01]: The commanders are hobbled, you know, they've lost four games by 20 points each.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's in a row.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_01]: They're not just a bad team or bad team.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_01]: They're trending poorly.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_01]: and they're without their star quarterback and their blue chip wide receiver.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_01]: And the defensive coordinator, just, the defensive coordinator just got demoted out of play calling because of issues going on in the defense.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_01]: And meanwhile, the dolphins just went jumped up and beat the bills handily, well, that was a good win.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_01]: And if you look at it, you know, look at what they did against the falcons, you know, with the the short week game against the Ravens in between.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_01]: Unless I have that wrong, right?
- 39:26[SPEAKER_01]: You know, so, so two out of three, two out of the last three games, the dolphins look pretty good, you know, you'd have to say two out of the last three games, the dolphins look pretty good.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_01]: And, and so this is trending up word.
- 39:41[SPEAKER_01]: what the hell man why why why why are we only favored by white one and a half this is neutral territory this is not you know we're not in their house it is a little bit of a head scratcher but sometimes those head scratchers make me wary and international games are also weird they are they are okay we're talking about three weeks ago Dylan Gabriel look I would have you know how much money I would have bet on this thank god I didn't
- 40:09[SPEAKER_02]: Dylan Gabriel, a rookie, making his debut against who, Brian Flores, and a blind from Brian Flores' defense.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_02]: And he was throwing for first downs to try to win the game at the end of the game.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_02]: So, yeah, you know, the Vikings held on, but, you know, bad team is going to bad team.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_02]: But,
- 40:33[SPEAKER_02]: Dylan Gabriel did it look hopeless in that game in his debut against Brian Flores.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_02]: So all right let's talk about the commander's offense and let's get the side of the way so we could do at least three minutes on champ Kelly.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, there seems to be a lot of interest on this.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_02]: I've watched a lot of Marcus Mariota.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_02]: First of all, he should be our backup.
- 40:55[SPEAKER_02]: He can still play.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_02]: He can still play.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_02]: He can.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, and he's decisive when he takes off.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_02]: I think this is going to be
- 41:03[SPEAKER_02]: He is not like Josh Allen.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_02]: Look, if Josh Allen were extremely decisive, just moving up in the pocket and taking off up into the pocket, we would have problems.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_02]: And we would have had problems last week.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_02]: But Josh Allen sometimes tends to do this and he tends to help your defense by moving East West instead of North South.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_02]: And if he starts moving east west, like like he's a great athlete, he's a great quarterback, but, you know, you should reasonably have enough athletes on defense that are going to be better athletes than Josh Allen and Ken chase them down.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_02]: Miami does have those.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_02]: In Tyler Dodson, Jordan Brooks, etc.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_02]: Dante Trader who I think has played three very good games in a row.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_02]: And that's something I want to touch on, too.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_02]: But Marcus Bay Road is decisive.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_02]: I could see a game where they get on schedule.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_02]: And yeah, Miami's offense will have to score.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_02]: Because, look, Zachart hasn't practiced this all week, but I think it's a resting.
- 41:59[SPEAKER_02]: He's one of these guys that never practiced this, but then just shows up to play.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_02]: Debo Samuel is out there.
- 42:05[SPEAKER_02]: And the last time we saw Debo Samuel,
- 42:07[SPEAKER_02]: We had no answer for him.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_02]: That was last year.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Miami won by by more than two scores against the against the 49ers, but they had no answer for Debo Samuel.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_02]: This is that that is the guys.
- 42:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_02]: So the mission is going to be simple.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_02]: Chris Rodriguez is going to start, but he's nursing a shoulder.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_02]: They got crosskey merit.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_02]: their run game is pretty much all a big app so they're gonna have to be stowed up front.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_02]: I see a world I do I really do see a world where Washington's offense can be on schedule and Miami's offense is gonna be
- 42:44[SPEAKER_02]: Essentially pressure pressure to score 27 points to win the game, you know, because I don't I don't I really don't think that this is the type of game where you could just fart around score 21, you know I don't think so.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're gonna have to score points in this game at least 27 to win your thoughts dolphin defense versus the Washington offense
- 43:07[SPEAKER_01]: Well I think okay so so I think looking at last we the fear that I have and this is I've I've been on record talking about the dolphins defense improvement over the the year and predicting the dolphins defense improvement over there but it.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_01]: You know, while it is fairly linear, I don't think it is exactly linear.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_01]: And so I wonder if the defensive output last week was a little bit, I mean, listen, when you have a game where you have a game where Jack Jones is able to punch out multiple
- 43:50[SPEAKER_01]: pick to Melafano and just to end it there in the end zone, you know, and and sort of like that sort of thing and you have a game where jujoo brance comes out of nowhere in plays like a top quarterback.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_01]: And I truly mean out of nowhere.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_01]: That that kind of that kind of makes me a little bit wary that does make me a little bit of wary because these are not sustainable things.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_01]: These are not sustainable, you know, things that are going to be the same from week to week, and if they don't happen, what would the complexion of that game against the against the bills offense looked like if they didn't happen, you know, and I think that's fair question to ask so I'm a little bit wary, you know, for for example, we're all pretty high on what jujube runs did last week.
- 44:41[SPEAKER_01]: And he did like for the for the amount of time that he played, although I think we were has now confirmed that Russell Doug was we'll start on but that's that's what I was about to bring up like we're all like happy with jujube friends, but guess what we're soul Douglas is going to start guess who's opposite him jack Jones they're not going to take jack Jones on the field for jujube friends right they love jack Jones for
- 45:02[SPEAKER_01]: whatever reason.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_01]: And, and so I think that, you know, we're carrying into this week, good feelings based on the thing that's not happening.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_01]: You know, which is, you know,
- 45:19[SPEAKER_01]: And even so, even with Keon Coleman, I think he's a very unique type of receiver that jujube runs as built well to handle.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_01]: And so, you know, I've tried to caution people a little bit on how he plays because he's going to run into different types of receivers now, not the same type of receiver every week, right?
- 45:41[SPEAKER_01]: And and for all we know you get divorced you know we don't we don't know but he's not even going to have the opportunity to get torched because the man's not probably not going to play as much, you know, he's just going to be Brazil Douglas and jackouts.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_01]: With with make a Fitzpatrick problem way in the slot, you know, the other thing is is how much how much about F around find out are we going to.
- 46:02[SPEAKER_01]: You know, are the coaching staff on the defense side going to get themselves into where they start, you know, something that they started to do in this last game, was they started to work Jason Marshall back in and this lot.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_01]: And they, you know, giving me a fit spatric, I know that make a once a play safety.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_01]: Giving me a fit spatric, the ability to go back and play safety.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_01]: And what we said last, we talked about it already,
- 46:32[SPEAKER_01]: You know, make if it's Patrick has lit up and been a force for this defense, a force for good change on this defense because he was put back in the slot, but you know, if they start to experiment more because they're they're in young guy experimentation mode right now.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_01]: But when you go into young guy experimentation mode, sometimes you're going to step on a landline.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_01]: And that's what I'm worried about.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_01]: That's what I'm worried about with the dolphin's defense.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to experiment with some more young guys.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to get Zeeek figures involved more than, you know, in the game.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_01]: They're going to, you know, they've got some, some guys at the, on the edge that they're going to play.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_01]: And, and they've got, you know, they're going to try to get Jason Marshall looks like on the field.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_01]: And they're also going to get Dante Trader on the field.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_01]: And Dante Trader has been a good force for the Dalton's defense, right?
- 47:22[SPEAKER_01]: We can agree on that.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_01]: He's been he's been solid.
- 47:25[SPEAKER_01]: He's been consistent.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, this was this was this was his best game.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_02]: This was his best game.
- 47:29[SPEAKER_01]: It was you're right.
- 47:30[SPEAKER_01]: It is, but we also know that that Dante that very same Dante Trader can be the one Who?
- 47:37[SPEAKER_01]: You know, on a double move looks absolutely hopeless in trying to keep up with, you know, a receiver or on a, you know, especially when I think with a guy with limited athleticism when he has to redirect right he has to he has to redirect because something, you know, maybe somebody else lost their container or something like that, but he has to reangle.
- 47:58[SPEAKER_01]: When a, when a Dante trader who has, you know, minus athleticism has to reangle, it's going to look ugly.
- 48:06[SPEAKER_01]: So if he gets into a situation like that, don't be surprised if it's like, this is a solid player.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_01]: This is a, wait, what just happened there, you know, that's, that's the worry.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_01]: That's the worry with when you're, when you're trusting and trying to experiment and utilize these young guys.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_01]: is it's not going to necessarily be consistent.
- 48:24[SPEAKER_01]: So that's the concern there is if they think that they're going to get the same defense or performance last as they did last week, they might have something else coming.
- 48:36[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, if Mario is playing pretty well, then maybe he could take advantage of them.
- 48:43[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure that he will though, because I'm not sure that he has the receiver talent, but the one guy that I would watch out for is
- 48:51[SPEAKER_02]: on the out.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, they don't have, they just don't have the talent on the outside.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_02]: They're a team that's playing in between the ashes.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, it stands to reason that Marshall is going to essentially be on Zachart's a ton in this game.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_01]: And if he plays, yeah, if he plays, you know, if he doesn't, if he doesn't play, which would be a good thing for the Dalton's defense.
- 49:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think.
- 49:16[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not, I'm not trying to denigrate Jason Marshall too much.
- 49:19[SPEAKER_01]: It's just like there's a cost to relying on these young young players and I think that Jason Marshall has shown that even though he's got some some traits that say, you know, that make you say in this defense, you could be tried at slot and that could be interesting sometimes.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_01]: He's also never played there in his whole life.
- 49:40[SPEAKER_01]: And it's going to look bad at a lot of other times, too, right?
- 49:44[SPEAKER_01]: And that's the thing, again, that's the danger.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_02]: Last thing on this game, Chop Robinson out of the protocol will play on his Sunday.
- 49:56[SPEAKER_02]: You think that he'll turn, look, it's been concussions, a knee issue.
- 50:02[SPEAKER_02]: Remember, he had a bad knee injury in training camp.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_02]: then reactivated it in a game and then took a cheap shot against the Patriots.
- 50:10[SPEAKER_02]: So he's been he's been dealing with that knee all season long and then he gets in percussion.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, it's been a rough year.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_02]: But the impediment of having Jalen Phillips around and good god he looked
- 50:27[SPEAKER_02]: But that impediment is gone.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_02]: So you would expect, Chav Robert is going to get a big snap count, right?
- 50:33[SPEAKER_02]: Because it's not going to be Matthew Judon and probably Chubby's entire game like this past week.
- 50:37[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, not just a quick snap count.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_01]: Not just a big snap count, but big in terms of how he's used.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_01]: because Jalen Phillips was being used in creative ways, like, you know, by Anthony Weaver.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_01]: And it's the sort of creative ways that Chop Robinson was drafted into this defense to be used like because he did it at Penn State, right?
- 51:00[SPEAKER_01]: And so, you know, will we finally see that, you know,
- 51:07[SPEAKER_01]: I want to say yes, but I wanted to say yes for two goddamn years.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, how much, how often do I have to be wrong before I just give it up and say, okay, surprise me, you know.
- 51:19[SPEAKER_02]: All right, let's pick this game and then let's do a couple minutes on champ Kelly.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_02]: Look, I think that they're going to have to score points.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_02]: I like the Washington offense, how it's constituted to try to keep this game kind of tight.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_02]: I think they can score a few points.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_02]: Unfortunately, for them, I think they're going to kick some field goals.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_02]: Miami wins 26, 20.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, I'm not going to pick against the dolphins here.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_01]: I think I consider myself too smart for that.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_01]: Um, you know, I think that the dolphins will win this game.
- 51:55[SPEAKER_01]: They, they should win this game.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_01]: They, um, you know, there's some things that I'm uncomfortable with and if they fool me for the, uh, 21st time in these odd situations or circumstance games, then, um, so be it.
- 52:08[SPEAKER_01]: But, uh, but I think that they have to, I think this is a sweet spot for Miami.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, the expectations are off.
- 52:15[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 52:16[SPEAKER_01]: And, and, you know, that that spot, you know, in the space between, you know, everybody's giving up on them, but they're not mathematically eliminated yet.
- 52:28[SPEAKER_01]: that really is kind of their sweet spot and I feel like they're in it.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_01]: So I think they're going to win 21 17.
- 52:34[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's going to be an offensive shoot out.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_01]: I think the offensive do enough to get it done.
- 52:40[SPEAKER_01]: And the defense could give up some scary moments, but I think that I think that they could they'll get it done.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_01]: So.
- 52:49[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 52:50[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of people have been speculating about
- 52:58[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, well, not everyone, right?
- 53:00[SPEAKER_02]: Well, everybody who was in charge of anything, I said, Marvin Allen's just in like limbo.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Marvin Allen's still there.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_02]: You know, but Greer and then the top two guys underneath Greer that run an entire department and entire department are gone.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_02]: It's instructive that you got rid of the guy who's essentially a scouting director and Champ Kelly has a lot of experience putting together new scouting staffs and new scouting departments.
- 53:31[SPEAKER_02]: So I think that what we're headed toward is I think he was he was brought on as like a safety valve like you know what?
- 53:41[SPEAKER_02]: I want to fire Chris Greer, but I'm not so sure I'll give him a year and I think Steve Ross said, you know what, my initial instincts were correct.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you're fired.
- 53:51[SPEAKER_02]: I think that they're going to bring in somebody to essentially oversee the whole operation.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_02]: And I guess call the balls and strikes for Stephen Ross.
- 54:00[SPEAKER_02]: And let's Stephen Ross know somebody that he can trust.
- 54:04[SPEAKER_02]: Let's Stephen Ross know who is actually bullshitting him.
- 54:06[SPEAKER_02]: Because Stephen Ross, that's face Stephen Ross gets into a room with any of these guys, they're going to dazzle the hell out of him.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_02]: The only thing Stephen Ross is going to know about is the wins and losses he knows the box score.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_02]: But football, these guys can just, you know, they're going to run circles around him.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's going to hire somebody to oversee the whole operation.
- 54:27[SPEAKER_02]: And I think champ Kelly will be the general manager.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_02]: Well, of course, he's going to have to hire new people underneath him because he needs a new pro personnel guy and he needs a scouting director.
- 54:35[SPEAKER_02]: And of course, when you bring in a scouting director, they tend to fire every single regional scout and usually when you fire the regional scouts, the scouts start looking for jobs.
- 54:44[SPEAKER_02]: So you're probably going to have to start hiring maybe 20 people in the off season.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_02]: So it's going to be a big job.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_01]: Do you see it the same way I do?
- 54:53[SPEAKER_01]: I think that champ Kelly's fortunes are completely tied to Mike McDonald.
- 54:59[SPEAKER_01]: Without question, I don't know that there's a scenario where champ Kelly is the general manager of the dolphins in 2026 without and Mike McDaniel is not the head coach.
- 55:10[SPEAKER_01]: I think that they're they are hotling together right now and they're going to present a unified front in case to Stephen Ross to you know have change without change.
- 55:22[SPEAKER_01]: Um, you know, change without overdoing it, um, and I think that, uh, I think that the, that's, that's going to be the pitch is, is Mike McDaniel and champ Kelly as a tandem and I think that champ Kelly was brought here to be Mike McDaniel's guy in the first place, um, even if he's not the general manager.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_01]: just somebody that drives with Mike McDaniel and has similar background as Mike McDaniel.
- 55:52[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that those two are inextricably linked with one another.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_01]: Will champ get the job?
- 56:00[SPEAKER_01]: You know, again, that's going to depend on will Mike McDaniel keep the job.
- 56:05[SPEAKER_01]: So every when brings them one step closer toward those two functioning as a pair, every loss brings them one step further away from, you know, it could result in, you know, the loss of steam for that argument or also even a fracture, this temporary alliance between between champ Kelly and microtanial.
- 56:31[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that, you know, this was he was clearly brought in.
- 56:36[SPEAKER_01]: He had he had some background already with the shanaham cult.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_01]: We call it.
- 56:41[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, my shanaham recommended him for the job in Denver.
- 56:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, a personal assistant.
- 56:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 56:49[SPEAKER_02]: And so I think that's actually a Super Bowl rank, by the way.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_02]: You know that, champ Kelly owns a Super Bowl rank.
- 56:54[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I think that, you know, so I think that this is, this is what he was brought here and if it works out, then that's the, that's probably the plan.
- 57:12[SPEAKER_01]: personnel people in Miami's front office, which be Chris Greer, you know, how long has he been here, right?
- 57:19[SPEAKER_01]: As well as Anthony Hunt and Adam Graf, how long have they been here decades, multiple decades, all of them, right?
- 57:28[SPEAKER_01]: I actually kind of wonder if, um,
- 57:32[SPEAKER_01]: One that that certainly is trying to get change in that front office, but to I wonder if there's like a secret thing happening about a D rose in housing this this this Miami front office because
- 57:51[SPEAKER_01]: um, for a long time, you know, he's been operating.
- 57:55[SPEAKER_01]: He's a, he's a power agent.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, those power agents, we old a lot of power.
- 58:01[SPEAKER_01]: They can get, you know, they can, they can create entire suites of solutions for a team, like, well, I'll give you this guy in this guy in this, you know, um, and I think that, uh, I think that there's a little bit of, there could be a little bit of being sick of him.
- 58:19[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, because he might have gone a little bit too far with some of some of the most recent activity in terms of, uh, building the Dolphins.
- 58:29[SPEAKER_01]: And, um, and so I kind of wonder if we're going to get rid of the guys that have been here over two to three decades that, you know, are really, really tight with Drew and, you know, and, and so, and we're just going to, we're just going to move on here and he's
- 58:49[SPEAKER_01]: uh... you know who's been here for two or three decades as well true well yeah that's what i mean yeah that's the that i called i once called drewra's rosin house uh... you know personally uh... about a job coming out of college and i came out of college and like two thousand so you know i so i i think i got my own true stories he i remember when him and his brother uh... jason okay great guy by the way
- 59:16[SPEAKER_02]: uh... him and his brother used to come to hooligans hooligans was a sports bar here mimey lakes that was around in the nineties they closed in two thousand
- 59:29[SPEAKER_02]: so they've been closed for 25 years.
- 59:31[SPEAKER_02]: I used to see them there every Sunday.
- 59:35[SPEAKER_02]: They used to essentially hold court at the bar and they were given the remote control and they had, uh, remember back then, uh, remember direct TV used to have, uh, the Sunday ticket and I was like the huge thing.
- 59:45[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my god.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_02]: The Sunday ticket.
- 59:47[SPEAKER_01]: I'll get the watch.
- 59:48[SPEAKER_01]: That game.
- 59:48[SPEAKER_01]: That long.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_01]: That wasn't that long.
- 59:51[SPEAKER_01]: It was like 1996, 1997 when they saw the direct TV had the Sunday ticket for forever.
- 59:58[SPEAKER_01]: You know, and let's look that up.
- 59:59[SPEAKER_02]: Let's look that up.
- 1:00:00[SPEAKER_01]: When did that I'm going to say that was less than 10 years ago that that that that changed.
- 1:00:05[SPEAKER_02]: Can you look it up?
- 1:00:06[SPEAKER_02]: Look it up when when Sunday ticket first showed up in in homes.
- 1:00:11[SPEAKER_01]: Because I remember you both have me when did when did Sunday ticket leave Sunday ticket leave the
- 1:00:20[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, no, no, when Sunday ticket first showed up, uh, when they first showed up, yeah, I think it was like 1997.
- 1:00:27[SPEAKER_01]: All right, all right, I didn't realize what you're talking about.
- 1:00:30[SPEAKER_01]: I thought you were just talking about like, oh, remember when direct TV used to have Sunday tickets?
- 1:00:34[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, that's, that's not that long.
- 1:00:36[SPEAKER_01]: I did it.
- 1:00:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no, and I were able to see Drew and Jason watching all the games, watching all their clients and there were times where they had
- 1:00:46[SPEAKER_02]: net four or five.
- 1:00:47[SPEAKER_02]: Like I believe that they have five dolphins right now.
- 1:00:50[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to use to have 15 on the team.
- 1:00:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so that would be an issue.
- 1:00:57[SPEAKER_01]: The Sunday ticket started in 1994 and they left direct TV and after the 2020 season.
- 1:01:03[SPEAKER_02]: nice so 1994 shows like six years a little less than that like like five years when they were holding court at Hooligans in Miami Lakes.
- 1:01:13[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, I'm just speculating completely off the wall about the Rosenhaus thing.
- 1:01:17[SPEAKER_01]: And if Rosenhaus here's about this and takes a fence all you know I'm sorry but you know I just I just think that some of the latest shenanigans that happen you know
- 1:01:32[SPEAKER_01]: It might have been, it might have been, you might have made an enemy in Steve Ross.
- 1:01:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not sure, but yeah.
- 1:01:40[SPEAKER_02]: By the way, Tyree Kill has already started his rehab.
- 1:01:42[SPEAKER_02]: He says he is going to play next season.
- 1:01:45[SPEAKER_01]: Good luck.
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_01]: You're probably going to win somewhere else.
- 1:01:48[SPEAKER_01]: I wonder where.
- 1:01:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:01:49[SPEAKER_01]: It's not going to be my enemy.
- 1:01:51[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 1:01:51[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to call it right here.
- 1:01:53[SPEAKER_02]: We want a little long, but we give you a lot to talk about.
- 1:01:55[SPEAKER_02]: Again, go get this shirt.
- 1:01:57[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
- 1:01:58[SPEAKER_02]: Go to onlyfans.printify.me.
- 1:02:01[SPEAKER_02]: Go by thousands of these things.
- 1:02:03[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.

- 1:02:05[SPEAKER_02]: Thousands of them.
- 1:02:06[SPEAKER_02]: And of course, if you want to talk to us and you want to talk to like my name dolphin fans over 2000 of them, go to discord.gg4x-onlyfins right there.

- 1:02:37[SPEAKER_00]: But, till then.
