- 0:13Speaker 3: And Matt Lynn.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Terrifying and terrible. Live from the.
- 0:18Speaker 4: Haunted Raising Cane's.
- 0:20Speaker 1: Studio, here's Jacob Hester and Matt Lynn. Come on. Thank you.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Right. Welcome back in OTB, hour number three. And we
- 0:59Speaker 3: are going to be so good on the clock.
- 1:01Speaker 5: We're going to be Flavor Flav here in this hour
- 1:03Speaker 5: number three. Jake Flynn, Alonja, Tay-Tay, the Wolfpack, all here
- 1:07Speaker 5: with you for hour number three. Our Monday show is
- 1:09Speaker 5: brought to you by Bayou Automotive, bayouautomotive.com. And Matt, if
- 1:14Speaker 5: Saints fans weren't feeling bad enough, you found some stats
- 1:17Speaker 5: to make them feel, well, maybe even worse.
- 1:20Speaker 6: Well, I don't know if it's going to make you
- 1:22Speaker 6: feel worse. It's not going to make you feel better.
- 1:24Speaker 6: I just wanted to tell you, we're in good company.
- 1:27Speaker 6: First quarter.
- 1:28Speaker 7: I can't remember.
- 1:30Speaker 4: Have the Saints been good or bad in the first quarter?
- 1:33Speaker 8: It's been pretty bad.
- 1:34Speaker 3: It's been pretty bad? Yeah.
- 1:36Speaker 7: Six points, right?
- 1:37Speaker 6: Saints have scored six total points through the first seven
- 1:41Speaker 6: games of the 2026 NFL professional football season.
- 1:45Speaker 3: Wait. Time out. Give me 30. What'd you say?
- 1:50Speaker 6: The Saints have scored in the first quarter. So that's
- 1:54Speaker 6: seven total quarters. First seven games. Six total points. Now,
- 1:58Speaker 6: that's not an average. That's an accumulation. If you add
- 2:02Speaker 6: them all up on points. That's one touchdown and a
- 2:08Speaker 6: missed extra point. So that's not the worst in NFL history.
- 2:13Speaker 6: So if we go back to 1999, statistically, that's the
- 2:18Speaker 6: sixth worst performance in the history of the NFL. There
- 2:23Speaker 6: was a 2002 Jaguars scored a total of four points
- 2:28Speaker 6: through their first seven games. Now, they were 6-10, not
- 2:31Speaker 6: very good. 2011, the Browns scored a total of three points.
- 2:38Speaker 7: They weren't very good either.
- 2:39Speaker 4: They were 4-12.
- 2:40Speaker 6: The Cardinals in 2000 scored three points total in the
- 2:45Speaker 6: first three games in the first quarter.
- 2:47Speaker 7: They were pretty terrible. They were 3-13. They scored three points.
- 2:48Speaker 6: 1999 Cardinals, so 1999 and 2000, they had a historic
- 2:56Speaker 6: run of just being terrible in the first quarter. They
- 2:58Speaker 6: only scored three points as well. They were 6-10. In
- 3:03Speaker 6: 1999 and 2000, the Arizona Cardinals scored a total of
- 3:06Speaker 6: six points through the first seven games of their seasons there.
- 3:10Speaker 6: But the outlier, this is something to look forward to
- 3:13Speaker 6: for the Saints fans. Saints, if you want something to
- 3:17Speaker 6: hold your hat on, I got evidence here. That says
- 3:22Speaker 6: we might win a Super Bowl.
- 3:23Speaker 5: Oh.
- 3:25Speaker 3: Hell yeah.
- 3:26Speaker 6: The worst team since 1999 through the first seven games
- 3:32Speaker 6: in the first quarter. 2024 Philadelphia Eagles scored exactly zero
- 3:38Speaker 6: points in the first quarter through their first seven games. Well,
- 3:44Speaker 6: guess what? They were 14-3. I believe they won a
- 3:49Speaker 6: Super Bowl that year. So if you want something to
- 3:52Speaker 6: be hopeful for Saints fans, that's nearly a guarantee.
- 3:57Speaker 3: I hate that.
- 3:58Speaker 4: Just short of a guarantee.
- 3:59Speaker 3: What was the record? 14-3, so you've.
- 4:01Speaker 7: Already lost more games than that.
- 4:05Speaker 6: Well, we can't reach that. They didn't score any, so
- 4:10Speaker 6: you're six points better than Super Bowl champs.
- 4:17Speaker 3: You know how hard it is to score six points
- 4:19Speaker 3: in one quarter?
- 4:20Speaker 6: It's harder to rush for 18 yards on 17 attempts.
- 4:24Speaker 3: I'll say that.
- 4:25Speaker 4: That's very true.
- 4:27Speaker 6: Again, you could run 17 quarterback sneaks and, what, rush
- 4:36Speaker 6: for 30 yards?
- 4:38Speaker 3: Yeah, roughly.
- 4:39Speaker 4: 30 yards, maybe more. Yeah.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Maybe you squirt one for three or four yards. You
- 4:44Speaker 3: can run fullback belly and get two and a half,
- 4:46Speaker 3: three yards of carry.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:47Speaker 6: You got 1.1. If you ran for 40 to 50 yards,
- 4:50Speaker 6: you'd probably win that game. You said that earlier.
- 4:52Speaker 9: Here's something else to boost the spirits, Matt. I went
- 4:56Speaker 9: and dove into, like, hey, what was their record in
- 4:57Speaker 9: the first seven games? They were 2-2 to start the year.
- 5:02Speaker 9: Week five, bye week. Then they rattled off nine straight wins.
- 5:07Speaker 9: Saints have a bye week coming up this week.
- 5:09Speaker 4: Oh, boy.
- 5:10Speaker 6: Here we go. That's what I'm talking about. It's going
- 5:19Speaker 6: to be a lot of football left to launder.
- 5:21Speaker 8: So much football left.
- 5:22Speaker 4: A lot of football left.
- 5:23Speaker 8: I'm not looking forward to watching any of it. I
- 5:26Speaker 8: got up real early on Sunday. I love, maybe this
- 5:31Speaker 8: is a hot take. I don't know. I floated it
- 5:33Speaker 8: in my family group chat and everybody was like, what
- 5:35Speaker 8: is wrong with you? I love the early games. Like
- 5:38Speaker 8: when they're out the country and there's an early game,
- 5:41Speaker 8: I love it. I wake up, put the TV on,
- 5:43Speaker 8: immediate football. I woke up early. I was like, man.
- 5:47Speaker 8: Some Saints football in Paris. Let's go.
- 5:49Speaker 7: What a way to start a Sunday. Oh, my God. Yeah.
- 5:52Speaker 4: Like, I should have connected these dots.
- 5:58Speaker 3: What?
- 6:00Speaker 6: The worst first quarter offense in the history of the
- 6:03Speaker 6: NFL through seven games.
- 6:06Speaker 7: Offensive coordinator.
- 6:10Speaker 4: Kellen Moore.
- 6:11Speaker 7: There it is.
- 6:14Speaker 3: Damn it.
- 6:15Speaker 8: Did we just make a discovery?
- 6:16Speaker 4: Yeah, shout out to Adam. I don't know why I
- 6:19Speaker 4: didn't connect those dots. Brain fog.
- 6:21Speaker 8: I didn't either.
- 6:21Speaker 7: What was Saints last year?
- 6:24Speaker 4: Probably not good. I'll find that out.
- 6:28Speaker 8: Oh, yeah, I just got a text. Wasn't Kellen Moore
- 6:30Speaker 8: also the OC on that Philly team? He was. You
- 6:33Speaker 8: said it, and I just didn't even.
- 6:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:34Speaker 7: Y'all were like, who? Didn't register to anyone. Everybody in
- 6:38Speaker 7: this room was like, who?
- 6:39Speaker 3: Who are we talking about?
- 6:40Speaker 7: We're on pins and needles here, Matt.
- 6:42Speaker 1: Tell us.
- 6:44Speaker 8: Hey.
- 6:44Speaker 5: Hey.
- 6:45Speaker 8: Your brain fog is like contagious. It's the one brain cell.
- 6:49Speaker 8: If one of you isn't working, we all don't work. Bye, guys.
- 6:59Speaker 3: It's a tough scene. Oh, man. That's egregious. You have to.
- 7:15Speaker 5: You have to start fast in the NFL. And if
- 7:17Speaker 5: you got somebody with a track record, even on a
- 7:19Speaker 5: Super Bowl winning team that didn't.
- 7:22Speaker 3: Like that team was good enough to overcome it. Good
- 7:24Speaker 3: on them. This team's not.
- 7:26Speaker 7: No.
- 7:27Speaker 3: Seems bad. They shouldn't be this bad.
- 7:32Speaker 4: All right. Through seven games last year.
- 7:34Speaker 3: Not bad.
- 7:36Speaker 8: 16 points.
- 7:36Speaker 4: That's still not.
- 7:37Speaker 1: 0-0-0-7-3-6-0.
- 7:38Speaker 7: The first seven games.
- 7:47Speaker 4: It's almost 3x what you got this year, though.
- 7:55Speaker 6: Every now and then, like, a team just fumbles and
- 7:58Speaker 6: it's just laying there and you just pick it up
- 7:59Speaker 6: and run to the end zone.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:00Speaker 7: You know?
- 8:01Speaker 3: Every now and then. Yeah.
- 8:02Speaker 6: Like, lucky things happen. You don't have to be good
- 8:05Speaker 6: to get lucky sometimes.
- 8:08Speaker 5: And so now it's in a situation for me where, like,
- 8:11Speaker 5: when I take a look at the Saints, and, like,
- 8:14Speaker 5: we can say the division's bad because it's not great,
- 8:17Speaker 5: but Carolina's better.
- 8:18Speaker 3: Atlanta's better.
- 8:20Speaker 5: Tampa Bay now with Baker Mayfield back, they just beat
- 8:23Speaker 5: the hell out of Carolina.
- 8:24Speaker 3: They're better.
- 8:24Speaker 7: They scored 43 points yesterday. What the hell happened in
- 8:27Speaker 7: that game?
- 8:27Speaker 8: Atlanta, I was not familiar with.
- 8:29Speaker 7: Baker only had to throw 10 passes.
- 8:31Speaker 9: He was 7 of 10 for 65 yards.
- 8:34Speaker 7: How does that happen?
- 8:35Speaker 9: They scored 17. Their defense was responsible for 17 points.
- 8:38Speaker 8: Wait, speaking of, did y'all see the Rice quarterback?
- 8:43Speaker 4: No.
- 8:43Speaker 8: Okay, so Rice quarterback, Gael Ochoa. I saw this. It
- 8:49Speaker 8: was on Twitter, so we can fact check. So he,
- 8:54Speaker 8: whenever they posted the screenshot, had some touchdowns but zero
- 8:58Speaker 8: passing yards. And they were like, is he just running
- 9:02Speaker 8: the ball in every single play? Like, is he just
- 9:04Speaker 8: tucking the ball and running? This man was running every
- 9:07Speaker 8: single play of the game. They pulled up videos of it.
- 9:10Speaker 8: I meant to send it to the group chat yesterday
- 9:12Speaker 8: because it was just so funny to me. He just
- 9:14Speaker 8: was running every single play versus Florida Atlantic.
- 9:19Speaker 3: And they won?
- 9:20Speaker 8: No, they actually lost. But here, let me read you
- 9:24Speaker 8: his game log. Two for five for 80 yards.
- 9:29Speaker 7: That's a good average.
- 9:30Speaker 8: 12 carries for 259 yards and four touchdowns.
- 9:36Speaker 7: So he's a running quarterback?
- 9:38Speaker 8: Apparently.
- 9:39Speaker 7: Dual threat.
- 9:40Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:41Speaker 8: I don't know about dual.
- 9:42Speaker 3: That's true.
- 9:43Speaker 9: Hey, two completions for 80 yards. It's 40 yards of pop, guys.
- 9:46Speaker 9: It's a good average. Make them count.
- 9:49Speaker 8: You need Tyler Shuck on that.
- 9:55Speaker 7: Matt, it gets worse.
- 9:55Speaker 4: No, it doesn't.
- 9:57Speaker 7: I was like, hey, who was Kellen Moore when? it
- 10:00Speaker 7: was the LA Chargers for a year in 2023. The
- 10:02Speaker 7: entire 2023 season, the LA Chargers scored 26 points in
- 10:04Speaker 7: the first quarter.
- 10:22Speaker 8: How does it just keep getting worse? How does this
- 10:24Speaker 8: keep happening?
- 10:27Speaker 7: Dallas Cowboys 2022. A little bit better.
- 10:33Speaker 4: Not great.
- 10:35Speaker 6: It's just like at some point you run into a
- 10:37Speaker 6: team that has a bad game plan.
- 10:39Speaker 4: Right?
- 10:40Speaker 6: Yeah. Even if you're a bad first quarter team. Which
- 10:45Speaker 6: I've never even like made that statement more than I
- 10:48Speaker 6: have today. Because like First quarter, there's four of them, right? So, like, okay,
- 10:55Speaker 6: you got a couple bad first quarters, whatever. But, like,
- 10:59Speaker 6: eventually you're going to run into a quarterback that makes
- 11:01Speaker 6: a dumb mistake. Eventually you're going to run into somebody
- 11:04Speaker 6: that put a game plan together that was bad and
- 11:06Speaker 6: they had to make adjustments, but she scored some points.
- 11:09Speaker 4: Eventually something happens.
- 11:14Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 11:15Speaker 4: But, you know, it didn't. And it doesn't, and it won't.
- 11:20Speaker 8: Okay, so the Saints finally got put on one of
- 11:23Speaker 8: those AI, the one that we've been laughing out of.
- 11:26Speaker 8: Kaelin DeBoer did it the best, let's be honest.
- 11:29Speaker 4: The original is the best one.
- 11:29Speaker 8: The original is the best.
- 11:31Speaker 3: They're doing it too much.
- 11:32Speaker 8: So they're doing it way too much, but they put
- 11:34Speaker 8: the Saints on there. They have my guy Chase Young
- 11:37Speaker 8: on there. I'm like, okay, you can do this to
- 11:38Speaker 8: the Saints, but get Chase Young off of this.
- 11:41Speaker 4: Get him off of it.
- 11:42Speaker 8: They had Olave on the sacks.
- 11:43Speaker 4: They shouldn't. No.
- 11:45Speaker 7: Olave and Chase Young can't.
- 11:46Speaker 3: Be on there.
- 11:47Speaker 8: Gale should be on the sacks.
- 11:48Speaker 4: Gale or Mickey, right?
- 11:50Speaker 8: Wow. Mickey should be doing the fist bump that Cignetti
- 11:54Speaker 8: was doing.
- 11:56Speaker 7: Who should be singing?
- 11:57Speaker 8: Gale needs to be on the sax.
- 11:58Speaker 7: Cesar Ruiz would be a good front man.
- 11:59Speaker 8: Kellen needs to be singing.
- 12:03Speaker 4: Mickey playing sax.
- 12:05Speaker 8: Kellen having zero personality and singing like that.
- 12:07Speaker 7: Would be really funny.
- 12:08Speaker 3: That'd be good. All right.
- 12:12Speaker 6: Hey, shout out to everybody else on the station. Your
- 12:14Speaker 6: free food's still here.
- 12:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:16Speaker 4: No one's taking it.
- 12:17Speaker 3: From the Monopoly. An awful lot of game piece there.
- 12:19Speaker 1: All right.
- 12:20Speaker 3: We will step away. Just another sad Saints stat of.
- 12:24Speaker 5: The day as we continue to break down their loss
- 12:26Speaker 5: to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
- 12:28Speaker 3: All right. We'll take a break. More OTB when we
- 12:29Speaker 3: come back.

- 14:30Speaker 5: All right, welcome back in. OTB, live from the Raising
- 14:38Speaker 5: Cane Studio. Yesterday was National Tight Ends Day. And there was,
- 14:48Speaker 5: I saw a parlay out there floating around. It was
- 14:50Speaker 5: like eight tight ends, like these certain eight tight ends scored.
- 14:54Speaker 5: And if you would have had all eight of them
- 14:55Speaker 5: scoring a $ 10.
- 14:57Speaker 3: Bet, $ 20 million.
- 15:00Speaker 8: That's crazy.
- 15:01Speaker 4: I'm assuming they didn't.
- 15:04Speaker 3: Nobody did.
- 15:06Speaker 7: Not a lot of big-time tight ends scored yesterday.
- 15:08Speaker 5: But if you would have had these certain eight. It
- 15:11Speaker 5: had Darnell Washington.
- 15:13Speaker 8: Mike Gusecki is going to get a touchdown every weekend.
- 15:16Speaker 3: It's true. It was Davis Allen from the Rams. He
- 15:19Speaker 3: got one. Mason Taylor, shout out.
- 15:22Speaker 8: Yeah, he got one too.
- 15:25Speaker 5: Tucker Kraft got one. Darren Waller got one. Hawkinson got one.
- 15:29Speaker 8: So it didn't hit, right?
- 15:31Speaker 3: McFuse got one.
- 15:32Speaker 8: Did it hit or no?
- 15:33Speaker 5: Yeah, so nobody did it, but it was saying if
- 15:36Speaker 5: you had these eight tight ends.
- 15:37Speaker 8: Oh, like a hypothetical.
- 15:38Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 15:39Speaker 5: If you were to put $ 10 on these eight tight ends,
- 15:42Speaker 5: it would have been a $ 20 million payback.
- 15:44Speaker 3: All right.
- 15:46Speaker 7: I mean, that's worth risking $ 10.
- 15:47Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 15:48Speaker 7: If I'd have seen that ahead of time.
- 15:49Speaker 5: Next year on National Tight End Day, y'all.
- 15:51Speaker 8: We got to do that.
- 15:53Speaker 3: We can come up with four different ones. We'll play
- 15:55Speaker 3: $ 10 on each of them. What was the one?
- 15:58Speaker 8: Well, no, never mind. It was a baseball one.
- 16:02Speaker 3: It was not National Tight End Day, though.
- 16:04Speaker 4: That's all right.
- 16:05Speaker 8: We'll make a National Running Back weekend next weekend.
- 16:08Speaker 4: I think any weekend is a good weekend to win
- 16:10Speaker 4: $ 20 million.
- 16:10Speaker 8: Fair.
- 16:12Speaker 3: It doesn't have to be on that specific weekend.
- 16:13Speaker 5: I was just saying maybe they were feeding them a
- 16:15Speaker 5: little bit more.
- 16:15Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 16:16Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't think so.
- 16:18Speaker 3: Yeah, okay.
- 16:19Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't.
- 16:19Speaker 3: All right.
- 16:21Speaker 5: Some other news in college football because we didn't win
- 16:24Speaker 5: the $ 20 million, so we're still here.
- 16:26Speaker 3: So, you know, we still got to talk sports.
- 16:27Speaker 4: How'd we do in our early?
- 16:29Speaker 3: Not great. It was a bad week. Bad week.
- 16:31Speaker 8: Wait, I think mine actually. Wait, what did I do? No,
- 16:34Speaker 8: I did Tennessee.
- 16:35Speaker 3: Never mind. It didn't hit. It was bad. It was bad.
- 16:37Speaker 3: It's okay. It's all right.
- 16:38Speaker 7: We'll bounce back.
- 16:39Speaker 4: We will bounce back.
- 16:40Speaker 3: All right.
- 16:41Speaker 5: A couple of moves in college football. Dave Dorn out
- 16:44Speaker 5: at NC State. Baylor fired Dave Aranda. So Dave Aranda
- 16:50Speaker 5: now out as the Baylor head coach. A couple, you know,
- 16:55Speaker 5: obviously a couple of different firings in college football.
- 16:57Speaker 3: It is that time.
- 16:58Speaker 5: There was a rumor that Dabo was going to get
- 17:00Speaker 5: fired yesterday that got a couple of people there on
- 17:03Speaker 5: social media.
- 17:04Speaker 3: The old fake account got a couple of people there.
- 17:08Speaker 7: Not me.
- 17:08Speaker 4: Credit to myself.
- 17:11Speaker 7: Did you not see it?
- 17:12Speaker 4: I didn't see it.
- 17:12Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 17:13Speaker 3: You would have.
- 17:14Speaker 7: You'd be like, guys.
- 17:15Speaker 8: They'll get Chad Morris first.
- 17:16Speaker 6: Somewhere out there, Dabo Sweeney is playing the saxophone somewhere
- 17:19Speaker 6: for sure.
- 17:21Speaker 8: Yeah, absolutely.
- 17:29Speaker 3: So the coaching carousel is already starting there.
- 17:32Speaker 8: I love a coaching carousel.
- 17:33Speaker 5: But for Baylor, like, and Matt, you obviously know that program. Like,
- 17:37Speaker 5: what does Baylor think they're going to get right now?
- 17:39Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 17:39Speaker 4: Dave seemed like the perfect, like.
- 17:41Speaker 3: Mike Locke's going to get fired a couple days later.
- 17:42Speaker 4: It has been a long time. Like, Dave's been there
- 17:44Speaker 4: a minute.
- 17:46Speaker 3: Yeah. 40 and 40 over seven seasons.
- 17:48Speaker 1: I know.
- 17:50Speaker 4: But you have to expect with where the Big 12
- 17:52Speaker 4: is at.
- 17:53Speaker 6: Now, with a lot of their main powers gone, that
- 17:57Speaker 6: you have to expect better than 40 and 40.
- 17:59Speaker 4: Yeah. Like, over that, I mean, that's a long time.
- 18:01Speaker 4: What is it? Nine seasons?
- 18:02Speaker 3: Seven. Seven seasons?
- 18:04Speaker 7: Nine.
- 18:06Speaker 3: That's hard.
- 18:06Speaker 4: That's tough.
- 18:08Speaker 3: Brain fog.
- 18:09Speaker 8: I like the DJ Lagway stat. He got two head
- 18:11Speaker 8: coaches fired at two different programs.
- 18:13Speaker 4: Oh, nice. Okay.
- 18:16Speaker 3: $ 12 million buyout for Dave Aranda.
- 18:18Speaker 4: He was the perfect fit for that program, though. I
- 18:20Speaker 4: think everybody loved it.
- 18:21Speaker 3: He had some highs.
- 18:21Speaker 6: They wanted it. They wanted it to work so bad.
- 18:24Speaker 6: There's just only so long that you can wait. Like
- 18:27Speaker 6: I said, the main power is being gone in the
- 18:30Speaker 6: Big 12. 40-40 is not good enough. I would say
- 18:33Speaker 6: that for probably every team in the Big 12. You
- 18:36Speaker 6: have to think 40-40 over seven years is going to
- 18:39Speaker 6: get a change.
- 18:39Speaker 3: Yeah. So Dave's out.
- 18:42Speaker 5: Going to be a $ 12 million buyout for Dave Aranda.
- 18:44Speaker 5: Now they'll look for their next head coach. Mike Loxley
- 18:46Speaker 5: at Maryland a couple days ago. He was fired after
- 18:48Speaker 5: seven games into his eighth season. Started out 2-5. His
- 18:52Speaker 5: overall record at Maryland was 39-54. He's going to have
- 18:56Speaker 5: a $ 10 million buyout. Dave Dorn at NC State. So
- 19:01Speaker 5: they fired him after this weekend. They lost to Stanford.
- 19:03Speaker 5: 14 seasons, 14 seasons with the school there in different capacities,
- 19:10Speaker 5: and he had a 98-73 record. His buyout is going
- 19:14Speaker 5: to be $ 9. 75 million. He's getting paid at least $ 10 million.
- 19:20Speaker 7: What you're saying is they're all going to do well.
- 19:23Speaker 3: Yeah, they're going to do okay. They're going to be fine.
- 19:25Speaker 5: Stanford has got way more taxes. Yeah, they're going to be. No, no,
- 19:29Speaker 5: they lost to Stanford. That's why. No, no, NC State.
- 19:33Speaker 5: Dave Dorn at NC State lost to Stanford. That was
- 19:36Speaker 5: like the final straw. A name to watch there, apparently,
- 19:39Speaker 5: the first name?
- 19:40Speaker 4: Yeah, Phillip Rivers.
- 19:42Speaker 5: Remember, he got interviewed for the Buffalo Bills job and
- 19:45Speaker 5: took his name out of it. His son, Gunner, committed
- 19:49Speaker 5: to NC State. He played at NC State. Has his
- 19:51Speaker 5: number retired, obviously.
- 19:52Speaker 3: The whole deal.
- 19:53Speaker 4: That would be a fun one.
- 19:54Speaker 3: That would be fun. I don't know if he wants
- 19:55Speaker 3: to do that. I can see him more as an
- 19:57Speaker 3: NFL guy than a college guy, but I don't know.
- 19:59Speaker 3: You don't know. It's getting closer, so maybe. I don't know.
- 20:01Speaker 7: Yeah, I can see him as like a college OC. But, like, yeah,
- 20:04Speaker 7: does he want to be a college head coach?
- 20:06Speaker 3: I don't know. It's a lot of time.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 20:07Speaker 3: It's a lot of time. Yeah.
- 20:13Speaker 4: Constantly having to suck up to high schoolers.
- 20:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I just don't see him doing that.
- 20:20Speaker 4: That seems like a pain.
- 20:21Speaker 5: I guess you don't have to necessarily do it if
- 20:24Speaker 5: you're like a portal team.
- 20:27Speaker 7: I guess so.
- 20:27Speaker 3: That's speed dating. You don't have time to even.
- 20:29Speaker 7: Suck up to them.
- 20:30Speaker 6: I guess so, but at a certain point, that's why
- 20:32Speaker 6: college coach, it's never been harder to coach than it
- 20:34Speaker 6: is now in college because used to, you could, once
- 20:38Speaker 6: your kids got there. And your roster was established. They
- 20:42Speaker 6: weren't going anywhere. Now you've got to continue. You have
- 20:44Speaker 6: to recruit and retain. Like, the retainage part's harder, I
- 20:48Speaker 6: would assume.
- 20:48Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 20:49Speaker 6: Because you can't, like, you know, can't treat them like
- 20:54Speaker 6: dirt when they get there like they used to back
- 20:57Speaker 6: in our day.
- 20:58Speaker 9: You know, recruiting a 26-man recruiting class, you're recruiting 100
- 21:01Speaker 9: guys every year.
- 21:01Speaker 6: Every single year. So, like, you probably can't coach them
- 21:05Speaker 6: how you want to all the time is what I'm saying.
- 21:08Speaker 6: And if you know what I mean, you know what
- 21:09Speaker 6: I mean. because you constantly have to be like, well,
- 21:12Speaker 6: I can't hurt their feelings too bad because I don't
- 21:15Speaker 6: want them to leave.
- 21:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:20Speaker 6: And you've got to be able to coach them. You've
- 21:22Speaker 6: got to be able to coach them. So you have
- 21:23Speaker 6: to follow. There's a way to do it, certainly. Like,
- 21:27Speaker 6: I mean, shoot, there was probably times that I was like,
- 21:29Speaker 6: I got yelled at. I was like, oh, man, there's
- 21:31Speaker 6: a portal. Where's that thing? You're going to pay me?
- 21:36Speaker 6: Jimbo just used to whisper sweet nothings to you. All right,
- 21:39Speaker 6: so we will take a break real quick.
- 21:41Speaker 5: I think the next kind of list of coaches to
- 21:43Speaker 5: be on the lookout for, Mike Norvell, Deion Sanders at Colorado.
- 21:48Speaker 5: There's been some murmurs of, like, maybe him, you know,
- 21:52Speaker 5: kind of the way it's gone there in Colorado.
- 21:54Speaker 3: Like, I don't know because they're still.
- 21:55Speaker 5: Getting talked about way more than they did before, so
- 21:58Speaker 5: they might actually take a look at that and then
- 22:02Speaker 5: give him the rest of this year, maybe another year.
- 22:05Speaker 5: Greg Shano at Rutgers is another name. I think Shane
- 22:07Speaker 5: Beamer's probably coached himself off of it over the last
- 22:10Speaker 5: couple of weeks, and Shane's always ebbs and flows. Oh,
- 22:13Speaker 5: my gosh, South Carolina's done, and then he'll find a
- 22:15Speaker 5: way to win two big games like he did this year.
- 22:19Speaker 8: Lenore Sellers, 13 touchdown passes.
- 22:22Speaker 4: Best quarterback in the country.
- 22:23Speaker 8: Need nine more for my prediction of country.
- 22:25Speaker 3: Good luck. All right, we will take a break.
- 22:28Speaker 5: Before we do, I want to remind you that we
- 22:30Speaker 5: are at Rouse's every single Friday.

- 22:45Speaker 5: They watch us do the show, interact during the breaks.

- 24:32Speaker 5: the chat about us doing an eye in the sky
- 24:34Speaker 5: with the New Orleans Saints and their rushing attack or
- 24:38Speaker 5: lack thereof.
- 24:40Speaker 3: I'll see what we can do. I know for NFL.
- 24:41Speaker 4: You guys are glutton for punishment.
- 24:43Speaker 5: I know for NFL film, there is a service there.
- 24:46Speaker 5: You just pay for the service. We'll see if we
- 24:47Speaker 5: can get that done. And maybe, you know, we can
- 24:50Speaker 5: pick out a handful of plays, do a quick 10,
- 24:51Speaker 5: 15 minutes. six play kind of breakdown of what's going
- 24:55Speaker 5: wrong with the saints rushing attack.
- 24:57Speaker 3: There's a lot, a lot going wrong there, but we can,
- 25:00Speaker 3: maybe we can do that. Maybe.
- 25:01Speaker 5: I think I want to say there's some way I
- 25:03Speaker 5: do have access already, but I'll, I'll see if I
- 25:05Speaker 5: can get maybe even do.
- 25:07Speaker 4: A, it's much more accessible than college film.
- 25:11Speaker 3: Yeah, for sure.
- 25:12Speaker 6: You just got to pay for the service, which we
- 25:13Speaker 6: don't do just yet. So, you know, but I would
- 25:16Speaker 6: love to kind of one of those things. Losing money
- 25:20Speaker 6: left and right.
- 25:22Speaker 4: We're already in the hole like $ 300.
- 25:23Speaker 3: Hey, if your company wants a sponsor, eye in the sky.
- 25:28Speaker 8: Hit us up.
- 25:28Speaker 3: Hit us up. Let us know. It is open for
- 25:31Speaker 3: business and we get lots of views. Lots of views.
- 25:34Speaker 7: All the views.
- 25:36Speaker 8: It's the best film review.
- 25:39Speaker 7: I've said it.
- 25:40Speaker 3: Man.
- 25:42Speaker 4: Trump hadn't addressed anything in the sports world in a while.
- 25:45Speaker 6: I know.
- 25:46Speaker 8: It's been a minute.
- 25:46Speaker 3: You know what also... Coaches got fired and you didn't.
- 25:53Speaker 4: No.
- 25:53Speaker 7: Eulogies.
- 25:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:57Speaker 7: Those official firings?
- 25:58Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:59Speaker 7: They're official today.
- 26:00Speaker 3: We'll do it tomorrow.
- 26:01Speaker 7: Okay.
- 26:01Speaker 3: All right. I actually thought you'd have one for Dave.
- 26:03Speaker 3: I thought you'd have one for Aranda.
- 26:05Speaker 4: Brain fog. It's all right.
- 26:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 26:07Speaker 4: I'm feeling your best. It wasn't like the best weekend.
- 26:10Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 26:11Speaker 3: We'll have that for you tomorrow.
- 26:14Speaker 4: Absolute fever during the weekend.
- 26:16Speaker 8: Literally.
- 26:17Speaker 7: Literally.
- 26:20Speaker 5: This is going to be a fun film breakdown for LSU,
- 26:23Speaker 5: like it truly is.
- 26:24Speaker 3: And there's so many.
- 26:25Speaker 5: Plays that I want our listeners, LSU fans, football fans
- 26:30Speaker 5: to see.
- 26:31Speaker 3: And there's going to be some offensive wins for sure.
- 26:33Speaker 5: And, look, we're both offensive guys, so a lot of
- 26:35Speaker 5: times we'll go heavy offense because it's what we like,
- 26:37Speaker 5: it's what we did. But defensively, I cannot wait. And
- 26:41Speaker 5: I've got like five plays that I've already starred. We
- 26:44Speaker 5: know Matt's going to have 47 plays already starred. that
- 26:47Speaker 5: I want to talk about because there was so much
- 26:49Speaker 5: good in the scheme and the things that they disguised
- 26:52Speaker 5: and how they kept a very, very good rushing quarterback,
- 26:56Speaker 5: the leading rusher with over 100 carries already on the
- 26:59Speaker 5: year in Brown for the Auburn Tigers.
- 27:01Speaker 3: They kept him in check. He had one run.
- 27:03Speaker 7: He had one.
- 27:04Speaker 5: And the one run that he had, it was a
- 27:06Speaker 5: player getting a little too nosy up in the line of.
- 27:09Speaker 3: Scrimmage, and they had a player for him. And that
- 27:11Speaker 3: was clinic tape.
- 27:12Speaker 5: And to a lot of people that have talked about
- 27:15Speaker 5: the– running quarterbacks against LSU over the last couple years,
- 27:19Speaker 5: you got to take a look. You got to take
- 27:22Speaker 5: a look at what they've done this year so far.
- 27:25Speaker 5: That portion of it's been really good.
- 27:27Speaker 6: Yeah, it's been exceptional. That's what it's been. Especially like
- 27:31Speaker 6: you go back weeks ago to Marcel and Texas A
- 27:34Speaker 6: & M, what he's done to you in the last
- 27:35Speaker 6: couple years and what you did to him this year.
- 27:39Speaker 6: Then you got a guy, Byron Brown, who's one of
- 27:41Speaker 6: the top runners and throwers combined to ever do it.
- 27:47Speaker 4: Especially like right now in college football.
- 27:48Speaker 3: Yeah. And you hit almost 500 yards rushing.
- 27:53Speaker 4: You pretty much shut him down.
- 27:55Speaker 6: So yeah, what they're doing schematically is ultra impressive. And
- 28:03Speaker 6: we've talked about it a lot during the show that
- 28:06Speaker 6: the front seven, let's just go to the defensive line
- 28:09Speaker 6: in general is playing so good and improving a little
- 28:13Speaker 6: bit every single week on how they're, attacking blockers, how
- 28:17Speaker 6: they're shedding blockers, how they are attacking and putting pressure
- 28:21Speaker 6: on the quarterback but not getting themselves out of position
- 28:25Speaker 6: to where a quarterback's got an easy A or B
- 28:27Speaker 6: gap to run through or to step up. And then
- 28:30Speaker 6: when we do give him these glimpses of, oh, this
- 28:34Speaker 6: is like these flashes. So what happens when the quarterback
- 28:37Speaker 6: is in the pocket and he scrambles is you never
- 28:40Speaker 6: want to look down. As a passer, quarterbacks get in
- 28:44Speaker 6: trouble because they look down. as soon as you actually
- 28:48Speaker 6: take your eyeballs and look down at the pass rush
- 28:50Speaker 6: or at the offensive line, that's when you're screwed as
- 28:53Speaker 6: a passer because you can't go back up and then
- 28:56Speaker 6: try to find the DBs. Your eyes have to be
- 28:59Speaker 6: down the field. You're never looking at your receivers. You're
- 29:02Speaker 6: looking at the defenders. You're looking at the secondary and
- 29:05Speaker 6: seeing what they're doing from a coverage standpoint because you've
- 29:07Speaker 6: repped your route so many times you know where your
- 29:10Speaker 6: receiver should be. But as soon as you look down,
- 29:16Speaker 6: It's hard to go back up and look at the
- 29:17Speaker 6: defense back. So you have to feel it with your peripherals.
- 29:19Speaker 6: There's a lot of feel that goes into work in
- 29:21Speaker 6: the pocket. So feeling-wise in your peripheral, you see big gaps.
- 29:27Speaker 6: You see big voids. You see big swatches of grass.
- 29:32Speaker 6: So that is what the feeling is. You feel an
- 29:36Speaker 6: offensive lineman getting pushed into you. It's not that you
- 29:38Speaker 6: see him like you're looking direct. at him you just
- 29:40Speaker 6: feel it or you get in your peripherals or you
- 29:42Speaker 6: feel that um so what blake baker what they're doing
- 29:45Speaker 6: is they are they're creating the illusion of a good feeling.
- 29:50Speaker 3: Or a good place or a safe place to scramble
- 29:53Speaker 3: to they're creating.
- 29:53Speaker 6: This illusion by design yeah by design by opening up
- 29:58Speaker 6: the air B gap, but then also have been a
- 30:01Speaker 6: field from the slot coming in and, and blitzing into
- 30:03Speaker 6: that area. Like they're creating this area and they did
- 30:06Speaker 6: it against Marcel where they rushed Prince. Well, off the edge,
- 30:10Speaker 6: they rush hard from the right side to get Marcel
- 30:13Speaker 6: to go left, but then they had a scraper to
- 30:15Speaker 6: the left. So like they're creating the illusion to these
- 30:18Speaker 6: quarterbacks that it's a safe place over here. Like this
- 30:22Speaker 6: is my safe area to step up or to roll
- 30:25Speaker 6: out to, or to scramble to, well, You know, that's like,
- 30:29Speaker 6: look over here while I'm doing this other thing. That's
- 30:31Speaker 6: what Blake Baker's doing because he's got somebody scraping, coming
- 30:34Speaker 6: over the top, or to fill that area that is the,
- 30:37Speaker 6: air quote, like weak spot or the area that the
- 30:39Speaker 6: quarterback feels is the safest. So it's impressive to see
- 30:45Speaker 6: it drawn up. That's impressive to see what Blake Baker
- 30:47Speaker 6: and his staff can do. But it's entirely more impressive
- 30:51Speaker 6: to see a defense full of college kids being able
- 30:54Speaker 6: to execute that.
- 30:55Speaker 4: And they're getting better and better and better at it.
- 30:57Speaker 4: And that's what we talked about.
- 30:58Speaker 6: They're not only executing what they're doing, they're understanding the
- 31:03Speaker 6: why of what they're doing. They understand why one person
- 31:06Speaker 6: has to put himself out of position so somebody else
- 31:10Speaker 6: can be in position. And it's really cool to watch.
- 31:15Speaker 6: And that's why I say going forward, it's going to
- 31:17Speaker 6: take very special quarterback play for four quarters to be.
- 31:21Speaker 3: Able to beat this team.
- 31:24Speaker 7: And they might see it.
- 31:24Speaker 6: They're going to play good quarterbacks. But I'm just saying
- 31:26Speaker 6: it's going to have to take a hell of a game.
- 31:32Speaker 6: And we've played two quarterbacks this year that played a
- 31:34Speaker 6: hell of a game.
- 31:36Speaker 3: Yes. It's a fun watch.
- 31:40Speaker 5: I'm looking forward to tomorrow to kind of breaking down
- 31:42Speaker 5: and kind of seeing exactly what Blake Baker and that
- 31:45Speaker 5: defense did. And I think they're going to have a
- 31:46Speaker 5: challenge this next game. Like, Russell's somebody that can do
- 31:50Speaker 5: the things that we're talking about. Now, he's going to
- 31:52Speaker 5: be able to throw it better than Brown. I don't
- 31:53Speaker 5: know that he's quite the runner, right? He's a different runner,
- 31:57Speaker 5: for sure. He's not quite the same runner. He does
- 32:00Speaker 5: throw it better. And so that adds a different element
- 32:03Speaker 5: to it because against the Auburn Tigers, you're like, okay, well,
- 32:07Speaker 5: beat me throwing it.
- 32:08Speaker 3: I dare you. And they couldn't. This one's going to
- 32:10Speaker 3: be a little bit more of a challenge. Now, Alabama,
- 32:13Speaker 3: they got some injuries.
- 32:15Speaker 5: And how much– They can get done in this next
- 32:18Speaker 5: couple of weeks as far as rehab and getting guys back.
- 32:20Speaker 5: That's going to be something to watch for this game.
- 32:23Speaker 5: Same thing for LSU, and we've talked about it. They've
- 32:24Speaker 5: had their injuries, and let's see what they can get back.
- 32:26Speaker 5: Alabama's had some too. Again, it's what we talked about.
- 32:29Speaker 5: You almost don't want a bye week for LSU because
- 32:31Speaker 5: you're playing so well and everything's going so right for
- 32:33Speaker 5: you right now. But the injury report for Alabama is
- 32:36Speaker 5: going to be something we pay attention to. But regardless,
- 32:38Speaker 5: it is going to come down to you being able
- 32:41Speaker 5: to stop Russell, a quarterback, and if Sam Leavitt on
- 32:44Speaker 5: the other side for you can continue to play like
- 32:46Speaker 5: he's played. If he plays like that, it's going to
- 32:48Speaker 5: be incredibly difficult to knock off LSU.
- 32:52Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 32:54Speaker 6: I like the way November lines up way more than
- 32:59Speaker 6: I did a couple of weeks ago.
- 33:02Speaker 4: November, we were all pretty nervous. We were like, oh,
- 33:04Speaker 4: my God, we got two losses.
- 33:07Speaker 6: We got to get out of October with just two
- 33:09Speaker 6: losses because, my God, you got Alabama and you got
- 33:11Speaker 6: Texas coming to town.
- 33:14Speaker 4: Well.
- 33:15Speaker 6: Those games look a lot more winnable now than they
- 33:18Speaker 6: did a couple of weeks ago.
- 33:23Speaker 7: Arc.
- 33:24Speaker 8: I'm honestly not as worried about the Tennessee game as
- 33:26Speaker 8: I was before either.
- 33:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 33:27Speaker 8: Like, now getting the road win monkey off the bat,
- 33:29Speaker 8: that's what, like, concerned me. You couldn't get a road win.
- 33:32Speaker 8: You got that monkey off your back, and it was
- 33:34Speaker 8: a dominant win, too, against, like, not a terrible Auburn team. Like,
- 33:40Speaker 8: they're not awful, but that one doesn't. concern me as
- 33:45Speaker 8: much as it previously did.
- 33:47Speaker 7: When you were talking about elite QBs, like George McIntyre
- 33:50Speaker 7: is scary. Don't scare me. They got elite weapons on
- 33:54Speaker 7: the outside.
- 33:54Speaker 8: Their defense is solid, but yeah, they're.
- 33:57Speaker 9: Kind of the opposite of Auburn. Like Auburn's got a
- 33:59Speaker 9: quarterback that can hurt you. No weapons on the outside.
- 34:01Speaker 9: I think Tennessee is a complete opposite. Like Bishop's good.
- 34:04Speaker 9: Like Staley and Matthews are good. You just don't have
- 34:07Speaker 9: anybody to get them the ball consistently.
- 34:09Speaker 6: I think, I think Keyline probably provides the most, The
- 34:14Speaker 6: most fear of what you got left, I think.
- 34:17Speaker 8: Mm-hmm. Arc?
- 34:20Speaker 3: Arc, no.
- 34:21Speaker 4: I'm sorry.
- 34:21Speaker 7: I kind of wish he did.
- 34:23Speaker 9: I mean, dude, three turnovers again on Saturday. I get
- 34:26Speaker 9: that they won, but we were talking about it during break.
- 34:28Speaker 4: They won in spite of him.
- 34:29Speaker 7: Between him and Trinidad, that was bad QB play. It
- 34:31Speaker 7: was six turnovers.
- 34:33Speaker 4: Trinidad couldn't hit anything. Trinidad, he had a case of
- 34:36Speaker 4: the highs.
- 34:36Speaker 6: He was throwing it high to everybody over the middle
- 34:39Speaker 6: and should have been led to more interceptions.
- 34:41Speaker 3: A lot of balls got tipped up in the air, yeah.
- 34:44Speaker 6: Arch, they won in spite of him. I know I
- 34:49Speaker 6: make fun of his name, and I call him Arch sometimes, blah, blah, blah.
- 34:51Speaker 6: But I don't wish him any ill will, but they
- 34:54Speaker 6: won in spite of him. That kind of stinks, but
- 34:58Speaker 6: not playing well, not playing good football.
- 35:01Speaker 8: Sam Levitt, playing better quarterback than Trinidad Chambliss at least
- 35:06Speaker 8: the last couple weeks.
- 35:07Speaker 1: I know, I know.
- 35:08Speaker 4: I may not head up, but.
- 35:09Speaker 9: Sam's playing better than anybody in the SEC the last
- 35:12Speaker 9: couple weeks.
- 35:13Speaker 7: You find me a guy.
- 35:16Speaker 8: Oh.
- 35:17Speaker 3: Oh, who's dying down the hall?
- 35:19Speaker 7: Sounds like a tuberculosis ward out there.
- 35:22Speaker 3: Doc Holliday out in the hallway?
- 35:24Speaker 4: I would like to see who Marler thinks is playing better.
- 35:28Speaker 8: Lenores?
- 35:29Speaker 4: Lenores or Leavitt.
- 35:30Speaker 7: How about this?
- 35:32Speaker 9: If the season ended today, this would be Lenore Sellers'
- 35:35Speaker 9: worst completion percentage for a season.
- 35:40Speaker 7: There's a lot of people that are like, he's gotten better.
- 35:41Speaker 9: He's not making the catastrophic mistake, but he kind of
- 35:46Speaker 9: has it.
- 35:46Speaker 4: That's like saying the Saints are getting better on first quarter.
- 35:50Speaker 4: That's right.
- 35:51Speaker 7: That's six against the Raiders was electric.
- 35:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 35:55Speaker 4: Seven next year.
- 35:56Speaker 3: All right.
- 35:56Speaker 5: We are going to take a break. And when we

- 37:14Speaker 2: Off the bench with Hester and Flynn presented by Bayou Automotive.
- 37:27Speaker 6: All right, welcome back here. Off the Bench closing out
- 37:35Speaker 6: the show. I'm going to get to a little Ask
- 37:37Speaker 6: the Bench, but before I do, I want to tell
- 37:38Speaker 6: you about our friends over at Caterus. When you think
- 37:41Speaker 6: about Louisiana, you think about energy. And one company helping
- 37:44Speaker 6: shape the future is Caterus. Caterus, developing the Commonwealth LNG
- 37:47Speaker 6: Export Facility over there in Cameron Parish, connecting American natural
- 37:51Speaker 6: gas with customers around the world. Now under construction after
- 37:54Speaker 6: reaching final investment decision in 2026, the project represents a
- 37:57Speaker 6: major investment in Louisiana's future. But it's about more than
- 38:01Speaker 6: just exporting energy. It's about creating jobs, supporting local businesses,
- 38:05Speaker 6: strengthening communities, and reinforcing Louisiana's position as one of the
- 38:08Speaker 6: world's leading energy hubs. Through its natural gas production and
- 38:12Speaker 6: the Commonwealth LNG project, Catalyst is helping build an integrated
- 38:15Speaker 6: energy platform that connects domestic resources with a growing global demand.
- 38:19Speaker 6: As construction continues on Louisiana's Gulf coast, Catalyst is proud
- 38:23Speaker 6: to invest in American energy, American workers, and a stronger
- 38:26Speaker 6: economic future. Catalyst connecting Louisiana energy to the world.
- 38:33Speaker 3: Worldwide.
- 38:35Speaker 8: Why?
- 38:36Speaker 4: That's a whole planet.
- 38:39Speaker 3: Uh, real quick before we get to ask the bench, um,
- 38:43Speaker 3: Who knows what aliens are listening?
- 38:46Speaker 8: Could be more than one planet.
- 38:49Speaker 3: To some people, we're the aliens.
- 38:51Speaker 5: Most missed kicks for a team over the last two seasons.
- 38:54Speaker 5: The Saints have 18. Most in the NFL. Daniel Carlson, 66.7%.
- 39:00Speaker 5: Field goal percentage is tied for the worst in the
- 39:04Speaker 5: NFL among players currently signed to an active roster.
- 39:11Speaker 8: Dude, it just keeps getting worse. Derek told you. He said,
- 39:14Speaker 8: don't underestimate them, Matt.
- 39:16Speaker 6: Maybe just sign Justin Tucker.
- 39:19Speaker 3: That's very true.
- 39:20Speaker 1: All right.
- 39:21Speaker 3: Ask the bench.
- 39:21Speaker 7: Sean Watson's out here playing. Sean gets a second chance.
- 39:24Speaker 1: Come on.
- 39:31Speaker 5: Maybe frying the sky. You can do a offense this
- 39:33Speaker 5: week and defense next week. Since LSU has a buyer, maybe,
- 39:37Speaker 5: you know, it's not a bad, it's not a bad
- 39:39Speaker 5: suggestion there. Maybe we put it like a little, you know,
- 39:42Speaker 5: half and half here, 10 plays on offense, 10 plays
- 39:45Speaker 5: on defense this week.
- 39:47Speaker 3: And maybe we can do it next week. I don't know,
- 39:48Speaker 3: but next week.
- 39:49Speaker 4: How am I supposed to get through the rest of
- 39:51Speaker 4: the first quarter with only 10 plays?
- 39:54Speaker 3: Next week, I do want to take a look at Alabama, too, though.
- 39:57Speaker 6: Definitely do that. So I was going to. We had
- 39:59Speaker 6: all intentions of me breaking down Auburn last week before
- 40:05Speaker 6: the Auburn game.
- 40:07Speaker 4: But I got hit with a little sickness.
- 40:12Speaker 8: Got sniped by Fauci.
- 40:14Speaker 6: Got sniped by Fauci. Talking all that ish to Fauci.
- 40:16Speaker 6: Got sniped by him.
- 40:17Speaker 7: That's brutal.
- 40:18Speaker 4: Yeah, I can't believe he got that power still.
- 40:21Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 40:22Speaker 4: Still got little virus snipers out there.
- 40:26Speaker 8: They never go away.
- 40:28Speaker 3: Hashtag ask the bench.
- 40:29Speaker 4: Still not getting the shot.
- 40:31Speaker 5: Was Jake's fight radar lower after this road win at Auburn,
- 40:35Speaker 5: or were you ready to throw those boulders if someone
- 40:38Speaker 5: wanted the smoke?
- 40:40Speaker 3: You always stay ready so you don't have to get.
- 40:42Speaker 5: Ready, but by the time that we got out of
- 40:45Speaker 5: the booth because of, the whipping that you put on them,
- 40:48Speaker 5: they were already gone in the fourth quarter.
- 40:50Speaker 3: So there wasn't anybody to throw anything at. They were gone.
- 40:53Speaker 3: They left.
- 40:54Speaker 5: They bailed in the third quarter. I put a video up.
- 40:57Speaker 5: They started leaving the third quarter. Wasn't a lot of
- 41:00Speaker 5: Auburn fans left after that game. Hashtag Ask the Bench.
- 41:04Speaker 5: Based off of LSU's win over Auburn, what improvements you
- 41:07Speaker 5: saw in offense and defense that would increase their chances
- 41:09Speaker 5: to win over Alabama? I would say offensively, Jackson Harris
- 41:13Speaker 5: is one of the go-to targets in the country. Sam
- 41:15Speaker 5: Levitt's playing at an incredibly high level. Dylan Jones made
- 41:18Speaker 5: a lot of hay when a lot of hay wasn't
- 41:20Speaker 5: there to be made as far as what was in
- 41:22Speaker 5: front of him. Auburn came in with a game plan
- 41:24Speaker 5: to stop the run, but he still found a way
- 41:26Speaker 5: to get 90-plus yards. Defensively, I thought you confused the
- 41:30Speaker 5: quarterback all day long. I thought your corners played really well.
- 41:34Speaker 5: They didn't have a lot of help because that was
- 41:36Speaker 5: by design as well. You trusted them. DJ Pickett just
- 41:38Speaker 5: continues to do his thing.
- 41:40Speaker 6: I think defensively you've played good all year. You're just
- 41:43Speaker 6: defensive front is playing a lot better. They're getting better.
- 41:46Speaker 6: They're young and getting a lot better. Offensively, it looks
- 41:49Speaker 6: like a team that has a really good offense that's.
- 41:51Speaker 4: Had a good offense.
- 41:52Speaker 6: They just had to play with each other for a while.
- 41:55Speaker 6: It's a brand-new offensive coach's staff installing a new offense,
- 41:57Speaker 6: a quarterback that didn't get to practice in the spring.
- 42:01Speaker 7: It took time, right?
- 42:02Speaker 6: And now they're getting– this is what you want from
- 42:06Speaker 6: a college football team. You don't want the two losses,
- 42:08Speaker 6: of course.
- 42:08Speaker 3: Of course.
- 42:09Speaker 4: Because it makes it really hard to get into the playoffs.
- 42:11Speaker 6: But, like, if you can find your way there, you're.
- 42:15Speaker 7: Going to be tough.
- 42:16Speaker 8: Also, like, everybody else dropping games helps you out, too.
- 42:19Speaker 3: And Kentucky continuing to win.
- 42:22Speaker 7: Crazy. Top of the SEC standings right now. And I
- 42:24Speaker 7: hate to break it to you, but, like, Alabama's good.
- 42:27Speaker 4: They're not a juggernaut.
- 42:28Speaker 1: No.
- 42:30Speaker 7: Again, you go look at Keelan Russell the last three weeks.
- 42:32Speaker 3: Oh, stop.
- 42:33Speaker 6: So, I promise you, Texas and Alabama– They are going
- 42:37Speaker 6: to be trying to figure out how to stop LSU,
- 42:39Speaker 6: not the other way around.
- 42:41Speaker 3: Hashtag ask the bench, which hill would you rather die on?
- 42:44Speaker 5: Dabo Sweeney is a top three all-time college coach, or
- 42:47Speaker 5: the Indian Mounds at LSU are over 5,000 years old.
- 42:50Speaker 3: This is not fair.
- 42:50Speaker 4: This is not fair.
- 42:53Speaker 7: This is not fair.
- 42:54Speaker 4: You know it.
- 42:54Speaker 8: You said the first one, and he was like, okay.
- 42:56Speaker 8: And then you said the second one.
- 42:57Speaker 7: He was like, I think you've got to go Indian Mounds.
- 43:00Speaker 7: For your reason, though.
- 43:01Speaker 3: You can't prove it.
- 43:02Speaker 7: Can't prove it. Can't prove it.
- 43:04Speaker 3: Yeah, so.
- 43:04Speaker 7: No matter what side you take, you're not going to.
- 43:06Speaker 7: My rear end.
- 43:07Speaker 3: Dabo's not a top three head coach of all time.
- 43:09Speaker 7: And guess what? All dirt is old.
- 43:11Speaker 3: Yeah, those mounds are just like, you know, hey, we
- 43:13Speaker 3: got some dirt.
- 43:14Speaker 8: I mean, dirt's been around forever.
- 43:15Speaker 6: We've had dirt for a long time. God created it.
- 43:21Speaker 6: He makes more of it. People a long time ago
- 43:23Speaker 6: pushed it together.
- 43:24Speaker 5: Hashtag ask the bench. Auburn really bad or LSU getting
- 43:27Speaker 5: that much better? LSU's getting better.
- 43:29Speaker 3: I mean, Auburn just went on the road to Athens, Georgia.
- 43:33Speaker 3: And beat Georgia. They're not great. They're not bad.
- 43:38Speaker 5: But you made them look really bad. No, she's getting better.
- 43:40Speaker 5: They're getting better. That's why I wish we had a
- 43:42Speaker 5: game this weekend.
- 43:43Speaker 3: Don't stop.
- 43:43Speaker 6: It's each game, too. They're good enough to play great
- 43:46Speaker 6: on any given Saturday, and you didn't let them do it.
- 43:48Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 43:51Speaker 5: How does this season's chaos compare to 2007? It's not
- 43:54Speaker 5: there yet, but it's close.
- 43:55Speaker 4: It is.
- 43:55Speaker 3: It is getting there.
- 43:56Speaker 7: You get a couple more number ones in the next
- 43:58Speaker 7: few weeks.
- 43:58Speaker 3: It's going to be there.
- 44:00Speaker 8: We all had Kentucky at the top.
- 44:02Speaker 7: Of the SEC.
- 44:03Speaker 4: 07 was like number one and two went down multiple.
- 44:05Speaker 7: Weeks in a row.
- 44:06Speaker 3: Yeah. It's almost like you didn't want to get ranked
- 44:08Speaker 3: one or two.
- 44:09Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 44:10Speaker 4: So it's getting there.
- 44:15Speaker 7: South Florida was ranked three in the country that year.
- 44:18Speaker 3: Or two.
- 44:19Speaker 7: Did they get up to two?
- 44:20Speaker 3: Boston College and South Florida both got up to number two.
- 44:23Speaker 7: I remember Boston College.
- 44:23Speaker 3: Boston College had Matt Ryan, but. Pretty good. He's decent.
- 44:29Speaker 4: Good player.
- 44:31Speaker 3: Mr. President? He is president of the Atlanta Falcons. He
- 44:34Speaker 3: just beat the 49ers. All right. Good dude.
- 44:37Speaker 4: All around good dude.
- 44:38Speaker 3: Very, very good human.
- 44:40Speaker 8: Okay, Falcons.
- 44:41Speaker 7: All right.
- 44:42Speaker 4: I can't figure the Falcons out.
- 44:43Speaker 8: I can't figure them out either, but I see you.
- 44:47Speaker 3: This is from Dex Gonzalez.
- 44:49Speaker 1: Yes.
- 44:49Speaker 5: Kendra Miller, 2.5 yards after contact, ranked him 46 out
- 44:52Speaker 5: of 47 among qualified running backs.
- 44:56Speaker 8: Don't let him get hot.
- 44:58Speaker 7: Who the hell's behind him? Not Tyler Sheck. No.
- 45:06Speaker 3: Leading rusher. Oh, goodness gracious, Hab. Mercy.
- 45:11Speaker 7: All right. Go Tigers.
- 45:13Speaker 3: Clock integrity was incredible. There. All right, so tomorrow we'll
- 45:18Speaker 3: film Eye in the Sky. Look forward to that.
- 45:20Speaker 5: Of course, we'll continue talking LSU's win, the improvements that
- 45:23Speaker 5: LSU's made. What can the Saints do to be better?
- 45:26Speaker 5: Can they be better? All that coming up tomorrow on OTB.
- 45:29Speaker 3: We love you. We thank you. Go America.
