- 0:49Speaker 1: Sports Shock Wayne Gandy. Good morning to you out there listening.
- 0:52Speaker 5: Man.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Glad to be here with you, missed you guys. Glad
- 0:56Speaker 1: to be back so much here in the lie a
- 1:00Speaker 1: week that we have been off. But the gang is back.
- 1:05Speaker 1: We are missing one, but we got two guys that
- 1:09Speaker 1: have been inspired by the H to the O to
- 1:14Speaker 1: the V to the A. My man jay Z has
- 1:19Speaker 1: inspired both Commanche and Big Kenny to cut their hair.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Come in here looking fresh and dapper with fresh new
- 1:31Speaker 1: for you that don't know. A couple of days ago,
- 1:34Speaker 1: reports are that jay Z and you know These guys
- 1:37Speaker 1: are social media hounds. They get all the little clips
- 1:41Speaker 1: sent to them from their nine hundred different x and Twitter,
- 1:48Speaker 1: MySpace and everything else. They got it. There's nothing apps,
- 1:53Speaker 1: what apps and the things that I don't know anything
- 1:56Speaker 1: whatever that is that Elon Musk owns and Bill Gates
- 1:59Speaker 1: has something and Oral cool and everything else. They had it.
- 2:05Speaker 1: But jay Z got a haircut on stage by his wife,
- 2:09Speaker 1: and these guys saw that clip and decided to join
- 2:15Speaker 1: Big Kenny. I know, I haven't seen him with a
- 2:19Speaker 1: haircut since his birthday and that was like seven months ago.
- 2:26Speaker 1: And command she Gregg. He has just been a bit
- 2:30Speaker 1: rebelling against his family so long. You know, people still
- 2:36Speaker 1: can be fifty with parent issues. But it seems like
- 2:42Speaker 1: he has solved him. Must have took a trip back
- 2:44Speaker 1: to Oklahoma, got some of mama good old lemonade, and
- 2:49Speaker 1: cut his hair. I see, you know, he's sporting a
- 2:53Speaker 1: little gray But that's the first time I think I've
- 2:55Speaker 1: seen match. So either he went back to his parents
- 2:59Speaker 1: and made up or in love. I'm going with one
- 3:02Speaker 1: of those two. I'm sticking with it. He looks bright eyed,
- 3:06Speaker 1: clear his eyes. You know, it just looks like a
- 3:08Speaker 1: new man with his haircut over there, so it's so
- 3:12Speaker 1: proud to call him a fellow broadcaster. And these guys
- 3:17Speaker 1: right here have they're ready to go. They got so
- 3:21Speaker 1: much on their plate that they want to get into
- 3:25Speaker 1: and I just wanted to recognize and let them know
- 3:28Speaker 1: that I see they have done their jay Z duty.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Who has been on the scrutiny. It's been three or
- 3:35Speaker 1: four names in the week that we have been gone
- 3:37Speaker 1: that have just driven the news cycle. You know, it's
- 3:41Speaker 1: the summer. It's that little dead time before the NFL
- 3:46Speaker 1: kicks off, because you won't get these kind of little
- 3:50Speaker 1: clips in a month. It'll just all be about Lamar
- 3:54Speaker 1: Jackson's health, Matt Ryan, hit decisions, tools, stand up, who
- 4:01Speaker 1: gotta concuton? All that kind of stuff will start driving
- 4:04Speaker 1: the new cycle. But guys, good morning to you. You
- 4:09Speaker 1: got your fresh white teas on your matching you both gleaming,
- 4:13Speaker 1: got some basoline on your on your skin and now
- 4:17Speaker 1: support y'all.
- 4:18Speaker 6: And good morning, good morning, good morning commands you, Greg,
- 4:22Speaker 6: good morning to all the loyal listeners. I'm happy to
- 4:25Speaker 6: be back as well. And in full transparency, I did
- 4:28Speaker 6: not see the clip jay Z was by the crib
- 4:32Speaker 6: watch my wife cut my hair okay, okay before cop okay,
- 4:37Speaker 6: and then him and b biting right because it's a crime.
- 4:43Speaker 6: They ain't got originality, so they win in copy. I
- 4:47Speaker 6: think it was just time for me to get a
- 4:48Speaker 6: hair cut. I never saw the clip. I just looked
- 4:50Speaker 6: in the mirror, like, man, you need to cut your hair.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Did they bring some of that new product that really
- 4:55Speaker 1: not on the market that you've never sampled by? So
- 4:57Speaker 1: y'all could light.
- 4:58Speaker 6: Up the sacred Yeah, that that stuff comes from outer space.
- 5:02Speaker 6: It's chazy and beyond that. Come on, man, they're actually
- 5:05Speaker 6: not human. Yeah, they're actually haven't seen it, they're actually alien.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Two puffs gets you three outs. And that's talking about
- 5:13Speaker 1: the two puffs. I'm saying. You don't actually have to
- 5:16Speaker 1: put your lips on it.
- 5:17Speaker 6: That in hell, you just say the word twopuffs in
- 5:19Speaker 6: its presence and you three hours on some bred I
- 5:25Speaker 6: can't feel my face, but I can hear the color blue,
- 5:27Speaker 6: you know what I mean?
- 5:29Speaker 1: Maagine you have a good week here for good weekend?
- 5:33Speaker 1: Very low key? Okay, Well, jay Z, as we talked
- 5:37Speaker 1: about in the news cycle, a lot of people upset
- 5:39Speaker 1: with him his concert conversations about lyrics. I thought he
- 5:44Speaker 1: took a shot at Colin Koppernick. I don't really know
- 5:47Speaker 1: what the beef continues to be. I do know sometimes
- 5:54Speaker 1: we are linked and in this mindset that every decision
- 5:59Speaker 1: that you decide is a decision also for me, and
- 6:06Speaker 1: that's just not how the world works. In this case,
- 6:13Speaker 1: the boycott WO target, jay Z selling some albums there,
- 6:17Speaker 1: or jay Z working with the NFL after Colin. I mean, well,
- 6:23Speaker 1: I don't see it that way. There's no direct connection
- 6:27Speaker 1: that we are. Some things we will sink on and
- 6:30Speaker 1: be able to stand on. But I only going to
- 6:34Speaker 1: boycott the things I actually see. That's why it's an
- 6:39Speaker 1: individual choice. So to say, jay Z made some comments,
- 6:45Speaker 1: you know, I've read the lyric. I didn't get the
- 6:48Speaker 1: lyric other than he was talking about selective, which we
- 6:53Speaker 1: was talking briefly about before the show. How that is
- 6:57Speaker 1: becoming a real issue the people that are pushing this
- 7:02Speaker 1: idea that things are but they're the same people who
- 7:05Speaker 1: have an issue with things being selective. But guys, jay Z,
- 7:12Speaker 1: do y'all know much about this? Jay Z Colin Kaepernick
- 7:17Speaker 1: supposedly beef just to start theres as we were talking
- 7:20Speaker 1: about the Jigamaan.
- 7:22Speaker 6: I don't know about the beef between he and Colin Kaepernick,
- 7:25Speaker 6: but I have heard some criticism that people have of
- 7:29Speaker 6: him and where he's allowing his album to be distributed.
- 7:32Speaker 6: So for the people that are angry about the Target thing,
- 7:37Speaker 6: I thought that the national boycott of Target had been
- 7:39Speaker 6: called off by the people who started it. It was
- 7:42Speaker 6: Pastor Jamal Bryant here in the city of Atlanta who
- 7:45Speaker 6: called for the national boycott of Target, and after he
- 7:50Speaker 6: got to what he felt like were was an understanding
- 7:53Speaker 6: with the company, he called for it to be called off.
- 7:57Speaker 6: So some people may be still holding on to it.
- 8:00Speaker 6: And as far as the NFL, like you said about
- 8:03Speaker 6: the direct connection, Colin Kaepernick could be my brother, and
- 8:06Speaker 6: if the NFL willing to work with me and not him,
- 8:10Speaker 6: then everybody can't go Colin you had you used to
- 8:14Speaker 6: work with him, so I guess they was cool with
- 8:16Speaker 6: it one time. But people get fired every day, So
- 8:20Speaker 6: you know, I'm going to take my opportunity and allying
- 8:26Speaker 6: with the NFL because Colin Kaepernick's philosophy wasn't their priority
- 8:35Speaker 6: doesn't make me a bad person. I'm welcome to feel
- 8:38Speaker 6: how I feel, but we don't live in that generation anymore.
- 8:41Speaker 6: We talk about selectivity and subjectivity. Most people want us
- 8:46Speaker 6: to be of the same set.
- 8:50Speaker 1: Or you're a gift, So command you, Greg, you know
- 8:53Speaker 1: much about this? Jay Z Colin Kaepernick a freestyle. So
- 8:58Speaker 1: I'm imagine that Jay just decided to drop you a
- 9:02Speaker 1: couple of lines between songs.
- 9:05Speaker 7: Yeah, he did this at the at the Roots Picnic
- 9:09Speaker 7: and then at his recent shows at Yankee Stadium. And
- 9:16Speaker 7: I think I don't even know. I don't even see
- 9:20Speaker 7: that that is a beef I think he I don't
- 9:23Speaker 7: unless I think people are speculating that what he said
- 9:27Speaker 7: is a direct shot at Colin Kaepernick. And some people
- 9:32Speaker 7: are on both sides of like with Kaepernick's lawsuit against
- 9:35Speaker 7: the NFL, paid an undisclosed amount signed NDA, I guess,
- 9:39Speaker 7: and then Jay Z is working with the NFL that
- 9:43Speaker 7: it's a it's supposed to be like a conflict of
- 9:48Speaker 7: interest or like, oh, jay Z's not on Kaepernick's side, and.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Well what about that? I would that effect, I would
- 9:56Speaker 1: ask you what about the people that actually play the
- 10:02Speaker 1: game they are associating with the NFL.
- 10:10Speaker 7: Right, Well, that's part like what Jay says, like you're
- 10:12Speaker 7: picking and choosing the politicking as usual. So it's people
- 10:16Speaker 7: are picking and choosing who to support.
- 10:20Speaker 1: And it's winded. So Lamar so, Lamar Jackson get to
- 10:25Speaker 1: go make his fifty million, right, But I can't.
- 10:28Speaker 6: I'm not supposed I can't. I can't book somebody for
- 10:31Speaker 6: the halftime show.
- 10:32Speaker 1: This is the thing? And when did?
- 10:33Speaker 6: How is Colin Kaepernick? If I could sit down with
- 10:37Speaker 6: two people, it would be Lauren Hill and Colin Kaepernick
- 10:40Speaker 6: because from just one single act, they've remained relevant for
- 10:45Speaker 6: a decade now. I mean Lauren Hill dropped one album
- 10:49Speaker 6: for thirty years. Colin Kaepernick's education The last time he
- 10:52Speaker 6: played in the NFL.
- 10:54Speaker 7: Was what year twenty sixteen? It's what year now, twenty
- 10:58Speaker 7: twenty six.
- 10:59Speaker 6: And we leave stories with Colin how does he do it?
- 11:03Speaker 6: He ain't through a ball, he ain't done an interview.
- 11:06Speaker 6: I've seen him nowhere and he stays rent free in
- 11:10Speaker 6: people's heads for the last decade.
- 11:13Speaker 1: And he was willing to go because to me, protests
- 11:18Speaker 1: would have mean I'm not gonna make a deal with you. Okay, okay,
- 11:23Speaker 1: now we're talking to make a deal with What's what
- 11:26Speaker 1: you talking about? You can't you can't. Yeah, that's surrendering.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Surrender now in the United States and choosing the parameters
- 11:35Speaker 1: of the protests. Okay, protest, but I can make a deal.
- 11:40Speaker 1: You can protest, but it's got to be in a
- 11:42Speaker 1: way that I agree with. And we'll be back. We
- 11:45Speaker 1: got hot to talk about on today's show, the World
- 11:48Speaker 1: Cup coming to Atlanta and so much more. We'll be
- 11:52Speaker 1: back more to Sports Jock Show right after this.

- 14:43Speaker 8: Oh oh listen, personal fact boys break up, Patty Day,

- 14:50Speaker 1: Somebody got a problem with home, So you don't bet up.
- 14:53Speaker 8: Because I got a little shadow and my brick is
- 14:56Speaker 8: moving now to stop yo.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Welcome back to the this War Shock Shock. I'm the
- 15:01Speaker 1: sports Shock Wayne Gamy Good morning to you once again
- 15:04Speaker 1: out there, guys. One thing, I know the World Cup
- 15:08Speaker 1: is going on, but have you been able to because
- 15:12Speaker 1: it's been a slow week since I've seen you. Guys.
- 15:16Speaker 1: The couples, the wife carrying championships over in Finland, have
- 15:21Speaker 1: you you caught youre some of that? The wife carrying
- 15:26Speaker 1: the wife carrying championships over in Finland. They had those week,
- 15:31Speaker 1: but I did see it.
- 15:32Speaker 6: After I didn't qualify, I kind of lost my energy.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Okay, okay. The World Championships of Wife Carrying is an
- 15:39Speaker 1: annual event held over in Finland. We're the male competitor.
- 15:44Speaker 1: They raced through a two hundred and fifty four meter
- 15:48Speaker 1: obstacle course carrying a female teammate. So I just I
- 15:54Speaker 1: guess the young female doesn't have to be your wife,
- 15:59Speaker 1: but it had to be a male and a female.
- 16:01Speaker 1: The course include sand fences and a water pool. Winning
- 16:06Speaker 1: couple receives the carried wife's exact weight in beer. That's
- 16:14Speaker 1: your pride. I'm the exact weight in beer. Now, there
- 16:19Speaker 1: are some little limits, like the wife has to be
- 16:22Speaker 1: at least one hundred and ten pounds, so or they
- 16:28Speaker 1: add whatever would get the person up to one hundred
- 16:33Speaker 1: and ten pounds. So you show in there with.
- 16:36Speaker 6: Your seventy pound wife, they gonna give you forty pounds. Basically,
- 16:41Speaker 6: Oh that makes it difficult. Yeah, maybe eat something. It's
- 16:46Speaker 6: I'm saying, because that would that's a degree of difficulty added.
- 16:50Speaker 6: So I'm taking neither one of you watch the wife
- 16:52Speaker 6: carry I've heard of it.
- 16:54Speaker 1: I have heard of it.
- 16:55Speaker 6: I have heard of it, but I've never I see
- 16:58Speaker 6: coverage on the news where they show like and today
- 17:01Speaker 6: was the wife carrying fel but I've never actually watched
- 17:04Speaker 6: the event live or in a replay broadcast. Okay, what
- 17:11Speaker 6: a great way to have some fun, though, Yeah, I mean,
- 17:14Speaker 6: and I wonder I just like to meet the person
- 17:16Speaker 6: who invented it sometimes, you know, right, don't you know?
- 17:19Speaker 6: And in a perfect world, you'd get one hundred and
- 17:21Speaker 6: ten pound girl who don't drink. And I'm saying, if
- 17:26Speaker 6: you just have one hundred and ten pounds of beer
- 17:29Speaker 6: for yourself, or you could get a lush of a
- 17:31Speaker 6: wife to go with you and be like you crack
- 17:34Speaker 6: another one now, you know, it kind of diminishes the
- 17:36Speaker 6: excitement thing.
- 17:37Speaker 1: Can you drink one hundred and ten pounds of beer
- 17:39Speaker 1: before it goes bad ah. Now that's a lot of
- 17:43Speaker 1: beer drinking, isn't it? And now sports, because we're not
- 17:46Speaker 1: talking we're talking about like the liquid, we're not righting,
- 17:48Speaker 1: we're talking about the science bodles or package. We're talking
- 17:51Speaker 1: about the actual weight.
- 17:52Speaker 6: There, and they're not giving it to you like one
- 17:55Speaker 6: hundred and ten pounds in cases. They're just pouring you
- 17:59Speaker 6: one hundred and ten pounds of beer. Yes, oh yeah,
- 18:02Speaker 6: we're gonna have to drink that with friend because that's
- 18:05Speaker 6: so basically they're just keeping the party. Are you going, yeah,
- 18:09Speaker 6: oh yeah, We're all gonna get drunk, no matter who when,
- 18:13Speaker 6: and you'll get to touch that girl from work without
- 18:16Speaker 6: getting fired. You know what I'm saying. We tak it
- 18:18Speaker 6: a little competition.
- 18:20Speaker 1: The World Cup has been driving the news cycle here
- 18:24Speaker 1: for basically the last five weeks. It's down to the
- 18:30Speaker 1: final four. One of those matches will be here and
- 18:36Speaker 1: Wednesday we'll have that correct I think semi final, the
- 18:40Speaker 1: semi final will be here Wednesday where England will play
- 18:47Speaker 1: is it Argentina? Who is England playing? Who won?
- 18:52Speaker 6: Because it was England had been passed through England France.
- 18:58Speaker 1: I think Finland was still in it.
- 19:00Speaker 7: England will play Argentina on Wednesday, and France and Spain
- 19:05Speaker 7: and Spain will be Tomorrow's day and they're playing at
- 19:09Speaker 7: Jerry World.
- 19:11Speaker 1: So France and Spain down in Texas and here will
- 19:16Speaker 1: be England and Argentina. Okay, So that's four nations that
- 19:24Speaker 1: have really been powerhouses yea, and not even me. Those
- 19:28Speaker 1: are four of the names that that's.
- 19:31Speaker 6: Yeah, that they had sort of speculated would make it
- 19:35Speaker 6: this far.
- 19:36Speaker 7: Argentina won the last one, and France is a heavy favorite.
- 19:41Speaker 1: And when you look at this, and because you have
- 19:43Speaker 1: to look at it from a television perspective, there is
- 19:49Speaker 1: no fall off. If I'm Fox or whoever's televising Fox,
- 19:56Speaker 1: every every matchup, I can sell you, yeah, the battle
- 20:00Speaker 1: between France and England. Of course, I can sell you
- 20:04Speaker 1: the battle between Spain and Argentina because it's you, but
- 20:09Speaker 1: it ain't it ain't your and you uh.
- 20:14Speaker 6: Spanish speaking country, but you a a Spanish Spanish speaking country,
- 20:20Speaker 6: so it's it's wonderful. It is wonderful to be a
- 20:23Speaker 6: way series. Basically, they don't have to make up a battle.
- 20:27Speaker 6: It is actually got to tell us some of the world's.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Battles, some of when you study from eighth grade world history,
- 20:35Speaker 1: you go back to some of these battles and alliances,
- 20:39Speaker 1: so not just battles but also countries that have aligned
- 20:43Speaker 1: and from from who's running it. You can find where
- 20:48Speaker 1: someone from France was running England, and England ran France
- 20:52Speaker 1: and France ran Spain. And I mean it's just so
- 20:56Speaker 1: And I was like, man as a as a producer,
- 20:59Speaker 1: this is just selling itself. I'm going on vacation, y'all.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Just make sure the cameras are there. It's almost like
- 21:05Speaker 1: this stuff was.
- 21:08Speaker 6: Cripp I want to say it out loud, bro, I
- 21:13Speaker 6: ain't want to say it out loud, but just think
- 21:15Speaker 6: what if we was to put on a World Cup
- 21:19Speaker 6: and then stick with me. Now Argentina, Spain, France and
- 21:26Speaker 6: England get to the finals, the semi finals.
- 21:30Speaker 1: What do you think could we sell it? Vacation vacation.
- 21:37Speaker 1: Now we've heard it's a Steph Curry Lebron. Finally and
- 21:42Speaker 1: you don't actually have to like go out, we don't
- 21:44Speaker 1: have to work. You got tickets, no party, and show
- 21:48Speaker 1: up for the pregame interview.
- 21:50Speaker 6: Now, have any of you been watching the upcoming documentary
- 21:55Speaker 6: about FIFA and they say, it is the corrupt institution
- 22:04Speaker 6: known to institute. I've been I've been on that and
- 22:07Speaker 6: I'm saying, so is it far fetched to think that
- 22:09Speaker 6: they would go?
- 22:10Speaker 1: Hey man, look now, now I watched some of the
- 22:13Speaker 1: accent I don't I don't me and we'll talk about that.
- 22:15Speaker 1: On the other side, those people to people keep throwing
- 22:20Speaker 1: that in and I'm trying to figure out where is
- 22:22Speaker 1: that And these these championships like people are delivering and
- 22:28Speaker 1: these are the teams that are known. There is no
- 22:31Speaker 1: right Norella story. I do know my future son in
- 22:35Speaker 1: law is from England and he now has his accent back.
- 22:40Speaker 1: He's more fishing chips. Now he's telling how he's so
- 22:44Speaker 1: British hit Pipa. He was sounding like Jethro Bodine.
- 22:49Speaker 6: Hey man, what's going out? And now he is Ildre's
- 22:53Speaker 6: album again. Pardon me, father? Might we have a spot
- 22:57Speaker 6: of tea before the pight of ail?
- 23:01Speaker 1: We'll be back more to sports socks all right after
- 23:04Speaker 1: it is rag take your friends? What a boto? If
- 23:08Speaker 1: you yourself widen when as do as o baby girl
- 23:12Speaker 1: and don't go away?
- 23:15Speaker 9: Or of the Sports Josh Show with Wayne Dandidius coming
- 23:18Speaker 9: up next.
- 23:20Speaker 14: Nobody had to tell your grandparents not to drive all
- 23:23Speaker 14: using their typewriters, why should it be any different for
- 23:27Speaker 14: us kids and our cell phones. Distracted driving was the
- 23:31Speaker 14: cause of more than three thousand deaths in twenty twenty two.
- 23:34Speaker 14: Come on, we're smarter than this. Let's put down the
- 23:37Speaker 14: phones and focus on the roads.

- 25:33Speaker 2: In the red Zone.
- 25:39Speaker 1: Cha you the baseline up? Uh huh, let it bump up.
- 25:50Speaker 1: Welcome back to the sport Shock Show. I'm the Sports
- 25:53Speaker 1: Shock Wayne Gamy, Greg I'll have to admit, I think
- 25:56Speaker 1: that's my least favorite, uh sports job jay Z. The
- 26:00Speaker 1: track we have we have been big hits of hits
- 26:04Speaker 1: that people know. I think that is like the one
- 26:08Speaker 1: track that if I had to eliminate from his catalog.
- 26:13Speaker 6: We've been doing this long enough together that there's a
- 26:16Speaker 6: phenomenon with young women called sinking, like when they get
- 26:20Speaker 6: together in controlled environments and they dwell together. At some point,
- 26:24Speaker 6: they all reached that time of the month at the
- 26:26Speaker 6: same time. We've been doing this so long that when
- 26:29Speaker 6: that started to play, the first thing I thought is
- 26:32Speaker 6: I'd eliminate this from the catalog if I had the chance.
- 26:36Speaker 6: This is my least And then I followed it up
- 26:38Speaker 6: in my mind with this is my least favorite jay
- 26:41Speaker 6: Z song of all time.
- 26:42Speaker 1: Yeah, it was big hits, a big can he say?
- 26:44Speaker 6: We already got a little traction, a little traction from
- 26:47Speaker 6: our loyal online listeners. You know the person who can't
- 26:51Speaker 6: stay away, like we can't stay away and you know
- 26:53Speaker 6: he missing his friend to day. Our loyal listener, Jared
- 26:56Speaker 6: Lloyd said when we were talking about the Wife every competition,
- 27:01Speaker 6: he said that the side Chicks shot put is next month,
- 27:07Speaker 6: and I really want to do that, sports jock, I
- 27:09Speaker 6: tell you. Besides, now she ain't really got to be
- 27:12Speaker 6: your side chick. Okay, we could sign that disclaimer. Y'all
- 27:15Speaker 6: don't know each other like that, like that, but just
- 27:19Speaker 6: come out throw a metal ball. We'll give you a
- 27:22Speaker 6: fifth of liquor. Some I mean, I don't know what
- 27:24Speaker 6: do side chicks get.
- 27:28Speaker 7: I guess it's always always something like a D like
- 27:31Speaker 7: today Valentine's Day, today, February fifteen.
- 27:34Speaker 6: Right, it's not Christmas Day, it's today after Christmas and
- 27:39Speaker 6: the day after Thanksgiving, so we'll give them half of
- 27:42Speaker 6: her weight.
- 27:46Speaker 1: Bit. We were talking about the World Cup. The four
- 27:48Speaker 1: teams that are left France, Spain, Argentina and England in
- 27:53Speaker 1: this World Cup. We have seen four especially my age group,
- 28:00Speaker 1: where World Cups, Olympics and things like that were about
- 28:09Speaker 1: country pride but solidarity. The idea of Olympics was that
- 28:15Speaker 1: we're going to get together, We're going to compete against
- 28:21Speaker 1: but is going to actually make us stronger as a world.
- 28:29Speaker 1: But in this World Cup, from at least the media perspective,
- 28:37Speaker 1: it seems too is driving divisiveness when you have Paraguay
- 28:46Speaker 1: labeled the France team the team from Africa because they
- 28:51Speaker 1: felt like the French players being of African descent, we
- 28:57Speaker 1: should not be allowed. But these gentlemen are from France.
- 29:08Speaker 7: Their career, it's it's it's across across soccer, like the
- 29:14Speaker 7: the the player who got the red card for the
- 29:17Speaker 7: US and then it was rescinded Florin. He is from Uh,
- 29:26Speaker 7: I can't remember what what country that his that his
- 29:28Speaker 7: parents are from. He he was born in America because
- 29:32Speaker 7: his mom could not get on the plane back home.
- 29:36Speaker 1: Uh. But and then she ended up having the baby
- 29:38Speaker 1: in America.
- 29:40Speaker 13: Uh.
- 29:40Speaker 7: But so there, so that's what that's what makes him American.
- 29:44Speaker 7: Birthright citizenship right, Okay, But when I when I took
- 29:47Speaker 7: this to Congress, you were against me with the birthright
- 29:51Speaker 7: citizens But we.
- 29:52Speaker 1: Pick it and choose it. Oh, I forgot, we're picking.
- 29:55Speaker 1: Remember when I introduced this, Remember, gonna stop, We're gonna stop,
- 30:00Speaker 1: get them all out of here. And you said, hold on, now,
- 30:03Speaker 1: what about Bergin he'd have to go to and now
- 30:07Speaker 1: the ain' in the middle of a game. We can't
- 30:08Speaker 1: go out. We can't take him out. We can't take
- 30:11Speaker 1: him off the field right now. Case And that's the thing.
- 30:16Speaker 1: And I said this last time in the Olympics, Like, so,
- 30:19Speaker 1: how how do you manage this because a lot of
- 30:21Speaker 1: people we have different NBA players that live love and
- 30:29Speaker 1: then dispersed back like a Joelo Beebe he been in
- 30:35Speaker 1: three Olympics, is three different countries. We have great tennis
- 30:41Speaker 1: players like the Martinez Sheriff, Povers and stuff who get
- 30:45Speaker 1: up at seven years of age, moved to Florida and
- 30:49Speaker 1: so they're twenty and then go back. Like so we
- 30:53Speaker 1: have if we do that.
- 30:54Speaker 7: Osaka is an example, born raised in America, but in
- 30:59Speaker 7: the Olympics she represented Japan.
- 31:01Speaker 1: Correct, So how do you now decide, Oh, I forgot selective?
- 31:06Speaker 18: Uh?
- 31:07Speaker 1: Well, based on if we win or not, if we
- 31:11Speaker 1: win or not, if we depending on who even cares
- 31:17Speaker 1: if we complain.
- 31:19Speaker 6: If some people can plain, you'd be like boys, shut up,
- 31:21Speaker 6: and then it's some people hold on here him out,
- 31:23Speaker 6: hear what they have to say, and we pick and
- 31:25Speaker 6: choose that too.
- 31:26Speaker 7: Yet Joel embiid he's being recruited by the US and
- 31:32Speaker 7: by France to play for their basketball the Olympics.
- 31:35Speaker 1: He chose the US. But it was just straight for
- 31:38Speaker 1: to have like options of what country want to play,
- 31:41Speaker 1: right and That's why why don't hate the player, hate
- 31:45Speaker 1: the game, because these guys play, and it's all across
- 31:50Speaker 1: the Olympics. It's any kind of where people based on,
- 31:54Speaker 1: especially when they have dual citizenship, get to pick. Because
- 31:59Speaker 1: half of the jamaken it was team women's track team
- 32:03Speaker 1: ran for l s U And I was just about
- 32:05Speaker 1: to say, and because I'm sitting there like I could
- 32:08Speaker 1: have that girl was running against.
- 32:12Speaker 6: Week and I was just thinking that as well, sports,
- 32:15Speaker 6: you mad that the team from France all of their
- 32:18Speaker 6: players from Africa. Just wait till they come play for
- 32:20Speaker 6: FC Miami. This is over, you know, you'll still be
- 32:24Speaker 6: complaining about something else.
- 32:26Speaker 1: So we saw England, uh get threatened when they had
- 32:31Speaker 1: to go down to Mexico. When they go to Mexico.
- 32:35Speaker 1: But I'm saying, it's supposed to be remember playing Mexican.
- 32:40Speaker 1: Were supposed to be nice, We're supposed to be bringing
- 32:42Speaker 1: the world together. We're gonna compete. But it seems to
- 32:46Speaker 1: be a lot of But I'm standing outside the airport, like,
- 32:49Speaker 1: what's so with you? Fool a lot of people, a
- 32:52Speaker 1: couple of parties. I went to people ragging Argentina. They've
- 32:57Speaker 1: gone all the way back to the slave. I wanted
- 33:01Speaker 1: to ask Argentina through three hundred years, like they they're
- 33:05Speaker 1: one of those countries that got rid of all the dark?
- 33:08Speaker 1: How many how many years? How many.
- 33:13Speaker 6: How many years passed before they play a World Cup?
- 33:15Speaker 6: Is it every four years? Every four years the last
- 33:18Speaker 6: time they had a World Cup? When it comes around,
- 33:22Speaker 6: has the world been in the type of turmoil that
- 33:24Speaker 6: it is? We got several wars going on, We've been
- 33:27Speaker 6: very the world has always been in turmoil.
- 33:30Speaker 1: Yeah, quit.
- 33:33Speaker 6: But even then, the sentiment was, let's pause all of
- 33:38Speaker 6: this in the spirit of the games.
- 33:41Speaker 1: And we don't see the pause anymore. We just see, oh, oh,
- 33:45Speaker 1: ain't we beefing with them? Oh?
- 33:46Speaker 6: Wait till they come here. And that's how people act.
- 33:49Speaker 6: They really take sides, and it's sometimes depending on who
- 33:55Speaker 6: you're sitting with. It can kind of ruin the games
- 33:59Speaker 6: to listen to all of that vitriol. For me to
- 34:02Speaker 6: hear people talking about political hate and dissension when just
- 34:08Speaker 6: let the dude kick the ball.
- 34:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I thought it was just friendly competition as far
- 34:14Speaker 1: as but I'm telling you ear hustling at two different
- 34:18Speaker 1: soccer nights and hearing how people arrived at who they
- 34:24Speaker 1: are supporting was I mean, they're out there actually counting
- 34:31Speaker 1: colors and nationalities. So you got eleven starters out there,
- 34:36Speaker 1: I find out that four of them, eight of them
- 34:39Speaker 1: with his Hispanic regardless of what country it is, I'm
- 34:42Speaker 1: going for them.
- 34:45Speaker 3: Now.
- 34:45Speaker 1: It could be Norway. But they got five Hispanic, eight
- 34:48Speaker 1: Hispanic players. So yeah, while you got on, while you
- 34:51Speaker 1: got on that Napoleon T shirt, choosing the seven.
- 34:58Speaker 6: African descent from England, no for France, for France, that
- 35:03Speaker 6: kind of thing. Yeah, okay, So that particularly, it's it's
- 35:08Speaker 6: with every country. Like there was a time where the
- 35:11Speaker 6: American team had like six or seven German players that
- 35:18Speaker 6: played either on the college level or played in MLS
- 35:20Speaker 6: and somehow they were able to get on the American team.
- 35:23Speaker 6: Every country does that in some way, and it can
- 35:28Speaker 6: be outside of soccer as well, just trying like we're
- 35:31Speaker 6: trying to in the Olympics. It's it's rampant, uh get
- 35:35Speaker 6: some one for your country. You had to experience twice
- 35:37Speaker 6: during this World Cup. When you run into those situations,
- 35:41Speaker 6: do you try and interject some sort of impartiality or
- 35:45Speaker 6: do you just.
- 35:45Speaker 1: Be like this is I'm I'm out. I just listen
- 35:51Speaker 1: they're there, and try to hear the rhyme and reason
- 35:55Speaker 1: and shake my head.
- 35:56Speaker 19: You go.
- 35:56Speaker 1: Anthropologists don't imagine, just just wonder, just sitting here and
- 36:02Speaker 1: living long enough to actually almost be raised one way
- 36:07Speaker 1: of trying to find a way to be Kumbaya for
- 36:10Speaker 1: the planet. We are the world, we are the people
- 36:14Speaker 1: kind of situation to live long enough past that to
- 36:18Speaker 1: where we are completely finding a divisive way for everything,
- 36:24Speaker 1: for everything that crosses the plate, and especially in a
- 36:28Speaker 1: world of sport, where sport was supposed to be all
- 36:32Speaker 1: about togetherness has become truly your side. Alabama, Auburn everywhere,
- 36:43Speaker 1: no middle ground. If you got middle ground, leave the state.
- 36:48Speaker 1: That's how they function with it in out the state
- 36:50Speaker 1: of Alabama, right right. If you can't decide, then maybe
- 36:54Speaker 1: you are to live in Mississippi. But I went to
- 36:56Speaker 1: you sitting there thinking, but I would Alabama state even
- 37:00Speaker 1: go to either one. I still got it.
- 37:02Speaker 5: Sea.
- 37:02Speaker 1: You better pay one of the two, right or leave
- 37:05Speaker 1: the state. We'll be back more to sports Jock Showrune
- 37:08Speaker 1: after this and tells quick Son Tom out of state, find.

- 39:09Speaker 3: Between London say you can see the sports jaint I'll
- 39:24Speaker 3: sing even Jenny, Welcome back to the Sportshock Show.
- 39:29Speaker 1: I'm the Sports Shock Wing Candy. Good morning to you
- 39:33Speaker 1: out there and listening. Lan glad to be here. Come
- 39:36Speaker 1: at you. Greg bick Kenny, the funny man himself is
- 39:41Speaker 1: in the building. We talked about the World Cup. The
- 39:45Speaker 1: announcement of Lebron James is still looming of where he
- 39:50Speaker 1: is going to play. The recruitment from what you read
- 39:56Speaker 1: as though he is a young twenty five years and
- 40:01Speaker 1: he has a son that's almost about twenty five or
- 40:03Speaker 1: getting close to it in the NBA. But Lebron, where
- 40:10Speaker 1: do you guys out of the three or four teams
- 40:14Speaker 1: which a lot of people are mentioning Golden State, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Miami,
- 40:24Speaker 1: and behind that they are mentioning, like my good friend
- 40:29Speaker 1: Charles Barkley that he's ring chasing which I never as
- 40:35Speaker 1: an athlete understand that everybody I know has always, especially
- 40:39Speaker 1: at the end of their career, if they were going
- 40:42Speaker 1: to continue to play. The great Barry Sanders only retired
- 40:50Speaker 1: because he wanted to leave Detroit and he wanted to
- 40:56Speaker 1: go play if he was going to play another year
- 40:58Speaker 1: or two, or a team he thought had more potential
- 41:03Speaker 1: of winning a championship. That's typically what happens. Tom Brady
- 41:10Speaker 1: didn't go to Tampa for the giggles of it, right right,
- 41:15Speaker 1: You know what, man, he was just a hang out
- 41:17Speaker 1: with the guys. If I go down now, last year,
- 41:20Speaker 1: Philip Rivers, the missing is me. Philip Rivers didn't go
- 41:23Speaker 1: to the Colts because he they had enough that if
- 41:26Speaker 1: he could have did a little something.
- 41:29Speaker 6: You know, we got it all. We needed to get
- 41:32Speaker 6: the rhythm together, but all we needed some reps. Everybody
- 41:36Speaker 6: is at the height of their skill set. I come
- 41:40Speaker 6: in there, we get went to Denver. Yeah, nobody leaving
- 41:46Speaker 6: and won. You either leaving for money or you're leaving
- 41:50Speaker 6: that wherever you're going. And when Barkley did it, he
- 41:54Speaker 6: left Philly, he went to Phoenix. He left Phoenix to
- 41:58Speaker 6: go to Houston. Both of those were about trying to win,
- 42:03Speaker 6: But nobody said that ring chasing?
- 42:08Speaker 1: Where do where we are?
- 42:09Speaker 7: I supposed to go to the Charlotte Hornets and have
- 42:15Speaker 7: his farewell tour from Charlotte in Charlotte in Charlotte. Wouldn't
- 42:22Speaker 7: that make sense? Wouldn't that make sense to you? To
- 42:24Speaker 7: him from him to be right there in the Queen City.
- 42:26Speaker 1: I don't know anybody that requests trades to Charlotte to
- 42:30Speaker 1: teams that they don't think will give them. That's usually
- 42:33Speaker 1: what when they have those signing trades, that I gotta
- 42:37Speaker 1: have some power. I need you to send me somewhere
- 42:39Speaker 1: that's gonna be the fun or we're gonna win. So
- 42:43Speaker 1: I don't get that now Lebron. I think Lebron, if
- 42:46Speaker 1: he's gonna play a year or two, we all felt
- 42:49Speaker 1: like he was. If he's gonna leave, he might go
- 42:51Speaker 1: to Cleveland. So him going to Cleveland, it's just poetic.
- 42:54Speaker 1: He just happened. They do have enough that if he
- 42:58Speaker 1: can figure out how to do Kate last year and
- 43:03Speaker 1: hold the fall off one more year, they could do something.
- 43:08Speaker 1: Or Philly because to me, if I'm him, that's a
- 43:12Speaker 1: great place because I can really be the third guy
- 43:18Speaker 1: I don't think he's trying to go nowhere and be
- 43:20Speaker 1: Guy one or two. He'd be the fourth guy in Philly. Yes,
- 43:25Speaker 1: I'm saying I know every night. Know what I'm saying
- 43:28Speaker 1: every night, we got enough guy that we can't I
- 43:30Speaker 1: can be. So when Joel out, I'm still the third guy.
- 43:33Speaker 1: Right If Jalen out to night, I'm the third guy.
- 43:36Speaker 1: If Tyrese Maxie out tonight, the same in Miami.
- 43:39Speaker 6: So to me and my third guy ain't like most
- 43:42Speaker 6: people's third guy, Lebron. We've seen Lebron leave places before
- 43:51Speaker 6: in a fashion where he set up a little mystery
- 43:55Speaker 6: and then he made the announcement.
- 43:56Speaker 1: We've been wondering about this now for what we two weeks?
- 44:01Speaker 1: Two weeks. Why the delay? I'm sure all of the
- 44:05Speaker 1: facts available.
- 44:06Speaker 6: Full break, a full break for him, for him, Okay,
- 44:10Speaker 6: that's what he's He's orchestrating a full break.
- 44:13Speaker 1: If I tell you I'm going to Miami today, I
- 44:15Speaker 1: have to start answering Miami questions. I have to go
- 44:17Speaker 1: to something to do with with Miami. I gotta do
- 44:20Speaker 1: Miami activities to do all that. So right now I'm
- 44:25Speaker 1: in the South of France. We got the yacht. I'm
- 44:29Speaker 1: smoking right with some of them African soccer players, you know,
- 44:34Speaker 1: that's what we do. I'm gonna how long does it
- 44:36Speaker 1: take for the smoke get out your system? It depends.
- 44:41Speaker 6: Like are we talking about just we smoking? Just why
- 44:44Speaker 6: we in the south of France? Then yeah, But actually
- 44:46Speaker 6: Lebron don't use his home pe. Yeah, he had somebody
- 44:51Speaker 6: have a baby for him. That just p for him
- 44:53Speaker 6: when he needs to take a drug task.
- 44:54Speaker 1: Oh is that how he does That's how they do it,
- 44:56Speaker 1: or that's how Adam Silver let it be, That's how
- 44:58Speaker 1: Adam Silver.
- 44:59Speaker 6: Lad, Yeah, Lebron comes in and everybody at a testing
- 45:04Speaker 6: facility goes, you know, what's up? Brou all right and
- 45:09Speaker 6: just fist bumping and he turned around and walking.
- 45:13Speaker 1: So uh real quick. What do you think if you
- 45:16Speaker 1: were a Lebron? You were Lebron, it was your decision
- 45:21Speaker 1: which of those three or four teams would you go to?
- 45:29Speaker 7: And and it guess kind of kind of related it
- 45:31Speaker 7: would be. I think it would be very intriguing for
- 45:34Speaker 7: him to go to place like Denver. Okay, you've gotten
- 45:39Speaker 7: you've gotten off script and went to Denver. Okay, Denver
- 45:42Speaker 7: has come up in a couple of podcasts. I've heard
- 45:45Speaker 7: Denver's come up, Minnesota's come up. I think Denver him
- 45:49Speaker 7: and Yokic, as someone said, like everyone's going to be
- 45:52Speaker 7: open all the time. He goes to Denver, Denver.
- 45:57Speaker 1: I think that.
- 45:59Speaker 6: He would go to Philly to unseek the king because
- 46:01Speaker 6: right now, Uh Bronson is the King of the East.
- 46:06Speaker 6: And you know what, I'm gonna go to Philly because
- 46:08Speaker 6: that's the only thing they missing is me. They was
- 46:11Speaker 6: right there with them, but I wasn't there. So I'm
- 46:13Speaker 6: finna go, and then we'll take Philly and let them
- 46:16Speaker 6: win one and then out right off with ye and
- 46:23Speaker 6: everybody'll be cool. And if it was me, it would
- 46:29Speaker 6: be part three of the Lord of the Rings in Cleveland,
- 46:33Speaker 6: the King return like the Lord of the Rings three return,
- 46:39Speaker 6: y'all y'all needed me again, y'all need me again. I've
- 46:42Speaker 6: come to save you.
- 46:44Speaker 1: I'm back again. And if he could go and pull
- 46:47Speaker 1: another rabbit out the hat, they got to put that
- 46:52Speaker 1: number twenty three banner back in the case. No for ye,
- 46:57Speaker 1: the arena they were just named the arena number twenty three,
- 47:00Speaker 1: the twenty three RN, the twenty three arena. If he
- 47:03Speaker 1: if he would he would walk on water at that
- 47:05Speaker 1: point in the state.
- 47:07Speaker 6: Of Now now that that to me would be the
- 47:09Speaker 6: most epic return Cleveland, but the most guaranteed.
- 47:13Speaker 1: We gonna get us a ring and you know that's Philly,
- 47:20Speaker 1: That's what is Philly. Then were definitely those kind of matchups. Yeah,
- 47:25Speaker 1: we'll be back more to sportsho Sports Shot show right
- 47:28Speaker 1: after this by him.
- 47:30Speaker 8: So like the batons with the red bottoms, you gotta
- 47:34Speaker 8: have them. You glad you got them, like every color
- 47:37Speaker 8: to saission with me.
- 47:39Speaker 1: It's so much fun. Don't go away.
- 47:44Speaker 9: Board of the sports Josh Hill with Wayne Dandy is
- 47:47Speaker 9: coming up next.
- 47:49Speaker 18: He wanted to be cool, which led you to smoking,
- 47:52Speaker 18: which led to a pack a day. Then you met
- 47:55Speaker 18: that special someone, which led to starting a life for them,
- 47:59Speaker 18: which led to wanting to live longer, which led to quitting.
- 48:04Speaker 18: Then you heard you maybe at risk for lung cancer,
- 48:06Speaker 18: which led you to getting a low dose CT scan.
- 48:09Speaker 18: If you smoked, get scanned, talk to your doctor and
- 48:13Speaker 18: learn more at Saved by the Scan dot org, brought
- 48:16Speaker 18: to you by the American Lung Association and the AD Council.
- 48:19Speaker 11: Talking about guns with others might not always feel comfortable.
- 48:22Speaker 11: But it could save a life. Here's a way to
- 48:24Speaker 11: start a conversation. Your family is going over to your
- 48:27Speaker 11: neighbor's home for dinner for the first time. How would
- 48:29Speaker 11: you ask if there are any unlocked guns in the home.
- 48:32Speaker 12: Hey, Hey, we're so excited for tonight. Before we come over, though,
- 48:35Speaker 12: may ask if there are any unlocked guns in your home.
- 48:38Speaker 13: Our guns are stored securely, locked in a safe that
- 48:41Speaker 13: the kids can't access.
- 48:43Speaker 1: Awesome.
- 48:44Speaker 11: Learn how to have the conversation at agree to agree
- 48:46Speaker 11: dot org. Brought to you by the AD Council.
- 48:49Speaker 17: Some people won't give you the real talk on drugs,
- 48:52Speaker 17: but it's time we know the facts. Fentanyl is killing people.
- 48:55Speaker 17: It's a powerful opioate, often made illegally and commonly mixed
- 48:59Speaker 17: with illicit drugs. It can even be pressed into counterfeit
- 49:02Speaker 17: pills that resemble prescription medications. Just two milligrams, about the
- 49:06Speaker 17: size of a few grains of sand, could potentially be lethal.
- 49:09Speaker 17: This isn't an ad to scare you, but it isn't
- 49:11Speaker 17: that to make you think twice. Get the facts. Go
- 49:15Speaker 17: to real deal on fentanyl dot com. This message is
- 49:18Speaker 17: brought to you by the AD Council.
- 49:21Speaker 1: And now back to the sports job. Wayne Gamsy.
- 49:26Speaker 23: Center cord on sports news gossip, blah blah blah blah.
- 49:33Speaker 1: Do you know what time it is?
- 49:36Speaker 24: Do you know what time?
- 49:38Speaker 12: You know?
- 49:39Speaker 1: Do you know what time?
- 49:41Speaker 25: You know?
- 49:41Speaker 1: You know what time? Welcome back to the sport Shock Show.
- 49:57Speaker 1: I'm the Sports Shock Wayne Gandy. Holl was the record
- 50:00Speaker 1: for the longest NFL career by an Auburn offensive lineman.
- 50:04Speaker 6: Hmm, interesting, has the longest career for an Auburn offensive lineman.
- 50:14Speaker 1: Can we put that in the heading on the page?
- 50:18Speaker 6: Can we start to promote those things inmy winning longest
- 50:22Speaker 6: offensive lineman career in the NFL from Auburn?
- 50:27Speaker 1: Come on, man, can we market this? People? Sorry thinking
- 50:31Speaker 1: you're come on man France marketing the African players.
- 50:35Speaker 6: You don't want to that. We need c sports. You
- 50:37Speaker 6: still connected to what do they call it? Marls and stuff?
- 50:42Speaker 1: That's what it is. You still be going with that? Man?
- 50:44Speaker 6: You that the people think you're bragging or no, no, no,
- 50:50Speaker 6: it ain't bragging. Its state in the fact.
- 50:53Speaker 1: What what you want to do? Who longer? Who longer?
- 50:57Speaker 1: Pull them up?
- 50:59Speaker 26: Pull them up?
- 51:00Speaker 1: Put your hand in the dark. I don't want to
- 51:02Speaker 1: miss I don't want to lose a listener based on Okay,
- 51:05Speaker 1: let me run them away.
- 51:09Speaker 6: The listeners if they mad because you number one, didn't
- 51:12Speaker 6: they hating?
- 51:12Speaker 1: I don't want them hearing my voice. No way them
- 51:17Speaker 1: people don't deserve us if they mad. Son father Time
- 51:22Speaker 1: playing the role once again, hold on, hold on, and
- 51:26Speaker 1: once again back to the swarts Jack Show with the
- 51:30Speaker 1: longest NFL career having offensive linemen from Auburn Wayne Dandy.
- 51:41Speaker 1: His father Time playing a role once again. Conor McGregor.
- 51:46Speaker 1: We saw this two weeks ago with Serena Williams. Father
- 51:50Speaker 1: Time is undefeated. Even when I just mentioned Lebron James.
- 51:55Speaker 1: Remember I said, hold him off one more year. He
- 51:58Speaker 1: can make whatever deal he made can win him. Come on, father,
- 52:02Speaker 1: I'm gonna give me you know Bryce, when Bryce's first son,
- 52:08Speaker 1: you know whatever deal he making.
- 52:09Speaker 6: With me, because five a time is you know, he
- 52:12Speaker 6: got to get his right. He has to have something
- 52:15Speaker 6: in return, of course, so if he can hold him off.
- 52:18Speaker 6: But in the case of Conor McGregor, in the case
- 52:20Speaker 6: of Serena Williams, and is so ironic that both of
- 52:25Speaker 6: them sustaining knee injuries both about the same length of
- 52:31Speaker 6: time away.
- 52:33Speaker 1: And trying to go in a sense right back at
- 52:37Speaker 1: the top when you think about it, where Serena didn't
- 52:42Speaker 1: go to just the Atlanta Open. Yeah, get a couple
- 52:47Speaker 1: of reps against you know, some little high schooler. Give
- 52:52Speaker 1: me a couple of reps against them fifteen in the region.
- 52:55Speaker 12: You know.
- 52:57Speaker 1: She want to do that. No, I'm Serena. I need
- 52:59Speaker 1: more than that. And so she got number two in
- 53:02Speaker 1: the world. And Connor didn't just take the guy that
- 53:04Speaker 1: was hugely Have you ever been to a fight outside
- 53:08Speaker 1: of a big arena when they just have it at
- 53:10Speaker 1: Joe's Bar, right? You do know most of those guys
- 53:13Speaker 1: that be competing just be guys that Joe's.
- 53:16Speaker 6: Work at ups during the day, got something to get off.
- 53:21Speaker 6: I'm telling you, it's been a long day delivering these packages.
- 53:24Speaker 6: I'm gonna go drink a couple of Joe's and what
- 53:27Speaker 6: you say, and that's how jo That's how they get
- 53:30Speaker 6: him in there. Connor decided to go get the real
- 53:33Speaker 6: smart the dude who you know what. I'm tired of
- 53:36Speaker 6: fighting at Joe's. I'm finna go to the gym and
- 53:39Speaker 6: I'm gonna commit myself to training twelve hours a day.
- 53:42Speaker 1: And become a champion, and Connor was like, give me
- 53:44Speaker 1: that guy right off the bat Connor McGregor trying to
- 53:48Speaker 1: go for a kick and the knee buckled early on
- 53:54Speaker 1: fell to the matt From the story I read and
- 53:58Speaker 1: from the video I watched, I didn't it live, looks
- 54:02Speaker 1: like he tried to take it to the mat with
- 54:05Speaker 1: the injury and keep the fight going. And the guy
- 54:10Speaker 1: he was, Holloway, just was like, no, I'm not coming
- 54:14Speaker 1: down there to fight you and went and got the
- 54:16Speaker 1: rep to get up, get out. I'm about to get
- 54:20Speaker 1: down now, get out. Come on, man, come on down here, man,
- 54:25Speaker 1: you come on, get your some Hey, y'all get this man, Amen,
- 54:29Speaker 1: get your I'm not getting out here. Get up. I'm
- 54:33Speaker 1: not gonna let you win down there. And that is
- 54:36Speaker 1: a strategy, and that's for some Some people want to
- 54:40Speaker 1: get you in a wrestling, some want to leave it
- 54:42Speaker 1: in a in a boxing. You know, it's you based
- 54:46Speaker 1: on your style everybody. Some people are on the ground
- 54:49Speaker 1: because that's where they want the mat. On the ground,
- 54:53Speaker 1: that's you know. Some people are not. That's not their style.
- 54:57Speaker 1: But Connor gregor could not get the competitor to get
- 55:02Speaker 1: on the ground. He tried to get back up. And
- 55:05Speaker 1: if you ever hurt your a cl mcl it only
- 55:12Speaker 1: allows you to go forward. It won't let you go
- 55:15Speaker 1: side to side. And so getting up at a good thing.
- 55:18Speaker 1: So you get up and you can walk directly forward
- 55:22Speaker 1: any type of but when you box, what is that
- 55:27Speaker 1: side to side? Yeah? I think about everything about and
- 55:31Speaker 1: bobbing and we, man, you ain't gonna have no bob
- 55:34Speaker 1: or we And that dude is going to break dust
- 55:37Speaker 1: off you if you get up. But by the time
- 55:40Speaker 1: and Connor McGregor, and hopefully we don't know how long
- 55:43Speaker 1: this will be of a recovery. He's only still late
- 55:49Speaker 1: thirties for his age. But to be away and the
- 55:54Speaker 1: thing about returning, people keep asking me, and I've made
- 55:57Speaker 1: jokes of it. I remember one or two years after
- 55:59Speaker 1: I retired, Oh man, you look good to go back,
- 56:02Speaker 1: And I would always say, bick getting what I tell them.
- 56:05Speaker 1: One of these young guys, throw me on my back,
- 56:08Speaker 1: that'll be it hurt. It'll look good long as some
- 56:11Speaker 1: But if you do that move and throw me in
- 56:14Speaker 1: one back, I'm gonna have to be. That's just how
- 56:19Speaker 1: age affects you. That's the real world. Man, That dude
- 56:24Speaker 1: got young guy's strength.
- 56:26Speaker 6: You remember when you had? I mean, because now what
- 56:29Speaker 6: I got is in good shape for a guy my
- 56:32Speaker 6: age strength. You see what I'm saying. Man as old
- 56:35Speaker 6: as you here, you holding it together. But that dude
- 56:38Speaker 6: young and got strength, And it's a whole different ball
- 56:41Speaker 6: game when you talk about tessling with somebody. So uh,
- 56:45Speaker 6: I wonder how many times we're going to see these
- 56:48Speaker 6: kinds of results before we start to see a rethinking
- 56:52Speaker 6: by athletes of either their willingness to come back after
- 56:57Speaker 6: so long or the desire to just keep on staying
- 57:02Speaker 6: fluid with it like I might. I ain't got the
- 57:04Speaker 6: fight in the arena every day. I might do two
- 57:07Speaker 6: or three Joe's bar fights a year just to make
- 57:11Speaker 6: sure this don't happen to me when I get my shot.
- 57:14Speaker 1: I think we have to stop taking the exception the
- 57:18Speaker 1: one or two times that it does happen, like with
- 57:20Speaker 1: Tom Brady or Lebron and making that the rule. Yeah,
- 57:23Speaker 1: forty is still forty. The point everything the back the
- 57:30Speaker 1: golfer starts breaking down.
- 57:34Speaker 7: With the expectations as well, because even with besides them,
- 57:38Speaker 7: there's like Steph Curry and James Harden are going into
- 57:42Speaker 7: year eighteen. Listen, we don't see a lot of eighteen
- 57:47Speaker 7: year careers in the NBA, but we like, we're expecting
- 57:50Speaker 7: you know so much from there. There are guys they
- 57:53Speaker 7: call physical comedians because they do a lot of activity
- 57:55Speaker 7: on stage once they hit fifty tick at a bar,
- 57:58Speaker 7: stood and.
- 57:58Speaker 1: Sit down once they get forty years old? Is this ever?
- 58:02Speaker 6: Everybody? Look, man, you're gonna have to lower the volume
- 58:05Speaker 6: on this might no hurting my ear.
- 58:07Speaker 1: We'll be back more to Sports Jock Show right.
- 58:09Speaker 8: After this family you know, like when makes some bloom
- 58:16Speaker 8: and the records ain't directly don't go.
- 58:21Speaker 9: Away, or of the Sports Josh Show with Wayne Gandy. Yes,
- 58:24Speaker 9: coming up next.
- 58:26Speaker 1: Remember always be generous with the nut may just diebal it.
- 58:31Speaker 27: Okay, Mom's wisdom has served you well, but now it
- 58:35Speaker 27: may be your turn to guide her.
- 58:38Speaker 24: Heay, I'm worried about Mom. She keeps forgetting her famous
- 58:41Speaker 24: sweet potato pie recipe.
- 58:42Speaker 16: Some things come with it, she says, and some don't.

- 58:57Speaker 24: Choosing to buy a gun was not a decision I
- 59:00Speaker 24: took lightly, but with everything going on, I really wanted
- 59:03Speaker 24: to feel like I could protect myself. I hadn't thought
- 59:05Speaker 24: about the danger of an unlocked gun in my own
- 59:07Speaker 24: home too.
- 59:09Speaker 1: Me aware your napitions.
- 59:12Speaker 6: Not that drawer.

- 59:29Speaker 20: while hopping on one foot, or maybe juggling cats while
- 59:32Speaker 20: riding the unicycle. Sounds ridiculous, right, but guess what. That's
- 59:36Speaker 20: exactly what texting while driving is like. Your human brain
- 59:39Speaker 20: only has the capacity to focus on one thing at
- 59:42Speaker 20: a time, So when you're behind the wheel, give driving
- 59:45Speaker 20: your undivided attention.
- 59:46Speaker 19: Don't drive distracted. A message brought to you by the

- 1:00:31Speaker 4: Is it just.

- 1:00:38Speaker 1: the way you Vegan. Welcome back to this sport Shock show.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: I'm the Sports Shock Wayne Candy. Good morning to you
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: out there and listening lane guys. One question I want
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: to ask you over the weekend I was thinking about,
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: because people sent me a couple of clips, why do
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: we let body cam footie be used as news?
- 1:01:01Speaker 6: I never understand right now, it's they they've looped it in.
- 1:01:07Speaker 6: And the reason they do it is they've looped it
- 1:01:09Speaker 6: in under the Freedom of Information Act, And so it's
- 1:01:13Speaker 6: supposed to be the reason we have body cams is
- 1:01:16Speaker 6: so that you can transparently see how it went down
- 1:01:20Speaker 6: in real time, and that is supposed to make the
- 1:01:23Speaker 6: situation easily understandable and digestible for the general public, is
- 1:01:30Speaker 6: my opinion.
- 1:01:30Speaker 12: Greg.
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: I've asked this question time and time before, because I
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: think that the body cam is good. I think that
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: it should be something that's stored that if something went wrong,
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: or a lawyer or someone to be able to use
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: and access if needed. But I don't think it needs
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: to be something where.
- 1:01:52Speaker 6: You get to just share on your feed, on your Yeah,
- 1:01:57Speaker 6: you get to post on Instagram, but yeah, yeah, not
- 1:01:59Speaker 6: definitely not for personal use or anything like that.
- 1:02:04Speaker 7: I agree it's supposed to make things a little more
- 1:02:07Speaker 7: straightforward with things that happen, But I think in the
- 1:02:13Speaker 7: age of the Internet, people are trying are again picking
- 1:02:16Speaker 7: and choosing. They're trying to find that where there's a
- 1:02:21Speaker 7: murky area, like they tried to think, oh well what
- 1:02:25Speaker 7: about this, you know.
- 1:02:27Speaker 6: And I guess I see things from both sides, because
- 1:02:30Speaker 6: a lot of people see bodycam as something that's necessary
- 1:02:33Speaker 6: because police are corrupting.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: We're going to catch them doing things.
- 1:02:36Speaker 6: But I know it's also made it impossible for a
- 1:02:40Speaker 6: lot of criminals to assert that something winning proper. No,
- 1:02:43Speaker 6: we got it on film, buddy, that wasn't your trunk,
- 1:02:46Speaker 6: it was in your pocket and you going to jail.
- 1:02:49Speaker 6: So no, right, no, no, that's not what And that's
- 1:02:54Speaker 6: what I'm saying so a lot of people who used
- 1:02:56Speaker 6: to get off with those nuances of it's my word
- 1:02:58Speaker 6: against yours no longer have that shade to cover themselves with.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: One of the biggest stories here in the last seven
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: to eight days is the Nolan's Welles situation out of Mississippi.
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: I had so many, so much conversation. My biggest thing
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: Nolan Wells from right now, for what we know, on
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: the fourth of July weekend, out having fun at a party.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: He's eighteen years old. He plays football at one of
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: the community colleges in the area. From what we have
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: is information, or at least what I've seen right now,
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: we don't know anything of how other than he went missing.
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: Early speculation from the information, as I said, is that
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: maybe he drowned. But from that, my biggest question, because
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: you could people have been going in and out on this,
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: looping me in and all I've been trying to figure
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: out is Greg Big Kenny. Why can't we wait on
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: the autopsy? With so much why there's media demand because
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: these are those stories we say we're gonna air out.
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: I don't have enough pieces. You know, most of what
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: we would do if we address this, that store would
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: be a speculation, not most of it, all of it, well,
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: all that because we weren't there and the official details
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: have yet to come out, so we everyone at this
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: point is speculating.
- 1:04:47Speaker 7: Everyone wants to get their opinion out there and and
- 1:04:53Speaker 7: and believe and and believe that they're right that they
- 1:04:57Speaker 7: do that. How do you formulate an opinion with no information?
- 1:05:01Speaker 7: Emotionally you need the information. They looking at anything as
- 1:05:06Speaker 7: context clues. Anything is a context clue. And and now
- 1:05:10Speaker 7: I'll tell you, oh they had they have is how
- 1:05:12Speaker 7: did they come back? And they and they had his
- 1:05:14Speaker 7: phone or they they said that he chose to stay
- 1:05:20Speaker 7: on the Horned Island. He chose to stay there, And
- 1:05:24Speaker 7: I don't now you're getting that from and and then when.
- 1:05:27Speaker 6: They do interview people that are quote unquote close to
- 1:05:32Speaker 6: the situation.
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: I saw them doing an interview with.
- 1:05:38Speaker 6: A gentleman who was supposed to be Nolan Well's best friend,
- 1:05:41Speaker 6: talking about how everything went down. But he wasn't there.
- 1:05:45Speaker 6: He never went with the group that day, so everything
- 1:05:48Speaker 6: he knows is what happened after everybody. And so you're
- 1:05:52Speaker 6: citing him as the source of all of the information
- 1:05:57Speaker 6: when he doesn't know anything.
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: And people try to use that to form their opinion.
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: And unfortunately, when you have a usual suspect like.
- 1:06:11Speaker 6: Mississippi and the auspice of a cloud like racism, people.
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: Run to that.
- 1:06:21Speaker 12: But what.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: How did Mississippi get in the current get dragged? You
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: think people? That's that's their marketing.
- 1:06:35Speaker 9: The Mississippi that you have branded him hasn't going on
- 1:06:40Speaker 9: in a consistent way to be saying Mississippi is this way.
- 1:06:44Speaker 6: And I choose to and and and let me say this,
- 1:06:47Speaker 6: and let me say this as the one person who
- 1:06:50Speaker 6: sits at this table that constantly is in the state
- 1:06:54Speaker 6: of Mississippi. People who have never been and who are
- 1:06:58Speaker 6: talking about what it's like would think that I was
- 1:07:02Speaker 6: lying to them about what it's like. Now, I'm sure
- 1:07:07Speaker 6: that most of that, again is from the way that
- 1:07:11Speaker 6: it has been portrayed. Are there incidents, Yeah, their incidents everywhere.
- 1:07:17Speaker 6: But when you, like I said, it's a usual suspect. Now,
- 1:07:20Speaker 6: had this happened in DC, they would have had to
- 1:07:24Speaker 6: dig up a whole bunch of conspiracy to make it,
- 1:07:27Speaker 6: because they've tried stuff like that in areas like that too.
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: But people are on some come on, man, it's DC.
- 1:07:32Speaker 6: People don't do that, but in Mississippi they believe that
- 1:07:35Speaker 6: it's possible because of the history, and then they start
- 1:07:38Speaker 6: to tie the parents of the children to being tied
- 1:07:43Speaker 6: into the system of corruption.
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: And you know, and none of us know. We don't
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: know what. I just never seen the story catch fire
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: with so few details that dominated to news and as
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: I said, everything that would be told, As you said,
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: Big Kenny, we don't have really first hand accounts. All
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: I asked would be first. Some of you that are
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: actually formulating these opinions aren't taking yourself back to college partying.
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: So when you start talking about friends not going back
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: with friends that was college. Hey, hey, Ken, me and
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: Big Kenny is gone somewhere. I'm ready to go. Can
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: I think Kenny is not? And this happened sports jock
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: in college. I went to a party with some friends.
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: This sorority had a party in some apartments. Me and
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: my dorm fraternity friends got together, went to this party.
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: We blackout drunk.
- 1:08:47Speaker 6: Everybody gets back to the dorm because we took a
- 1:08:49Speaker 6: caravan of cars. About two hours after getting back to
- 1:08:52Speaker 6: the dorm, about a quarter to three am, guy comes
- 1:08:57Speaker 6: and go, man, y'all see my roommate were like, what
- 1:09:01Speaker 6: your roommate while you're asking us, well, I thought he
- 1:09:03Speaker 6: wrote with you. No, I thought he wrote with you.
- 1:09:05Speaker 6: No man I left with and everybody was like, no,
- 1:09:08Speaker 6: he's not here. And this was before cell phone. So
- 1:09:12Speaker 6: we because somebody cared enough his roommate man, let's go back.
- 1:09:17Speaker 6: We went back to this apartment complex and walked around
- 1:09:22Speaker 6: the perimeter. He had gone to the back of the
- 1:09:24Speaker 6: complex to pee, slipped and fell in a ditch and
- 1:09:30Speaker 6: was so drunk he fell asleep and almost froze to death.
- 1:09:35Speaker 6: He would have died from exposure had he been out
- 1:09:38Speaker 6: there two or three more hours, and us wanting to
- 1:09:42Speaker 6: go back and check was the only thing that saved him.
- 1:09:45Speaker 6: It wasn't like we intentionally left him. It wasn't like
- 1:09:48Speaker 6: we plotted to leave somebody behind. We were just all
- 1:09:52Speaker 6: surprised that we made it back to the door. I
- 1:09:55Speaker 6: don't even remember who I rode with. I just remember
- 1:09:59Speaker 6: him waking me up asking me about his room mate,
- 1:10:02Speaker 6: and I was on some why would I know that?
- 1:10:04Speaker 6: And he was like the party we were at and
- 1:10:06Speaker 6: I was like, oh, we were just at a party,
- 1:10:09Speaker 6: and so it does happen. I know it happens because
- 1:10:12Speaker 6: it's happened in my life.
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: And definitely being the guy that doesn't don't drink. Greg
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: mc kenny, I've been the guy who's been the guy
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: filling in right the storyline. But I have one of
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: those you go to asking where's your shoes, where's your shirt? Well,
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: when I finally found you at the party, you ain't
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: have a shirt, so I don't know where you took
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: your shirt off at or you d up your shoes.
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: I just got you from that point like, hey man,
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: let's go. So that's if I stayed because you have
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: decided to keep the night going. Yes, Now, I wasn't
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: there when you told Greg whatever else you told Greg,
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: I can't give you an account. You told Greg you
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: was staying. You told me you was gonna go. That's
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: what alcohol boats. When I'm not alleviating anything, and I'm saying,
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: but don't we have to wait till we get all
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: this stuff documented.
- 1:11:13Speaker 6: Because by the time you found me, Greg had been
- 1:11:16Speaker 6: gone an hour. He I told him, Man, I'm not
- 1:11:20Speaker 6: finna leave right now, take my shirt and my shoes
- 1:11:24Speaker 6: home with you. By the time you showed up, I forgot.
- 1:11:27Speaker 6: I hadn't had that whole conversation with Greg.
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: That is college, that is beaches that is And if
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: you ever been young and have a cell phone and
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: you're out hanging out, I want my phone to get with.
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: Don't like your phone is on you on dry land
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: as it is in the.
- 1:11:49Speaker 6: Water, because I used to leave my wallet somewhere dry
- 1:11:52Speaker 6: because we didn't have phones. But I would have been
- 1:11:54Speaker 6: an unidentified body because I left the wallet somewhere dry.
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: Things. But I just thought, first, we need to know
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: how the young man passed away before we can start
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: trying to plug in. It could be a It could
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: have been they were all out there on some drug
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: and they don't know either. They got distance. I've had
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: people look up at a club. They don't left me purpose.
- 1:12:33Speaker 7: That hasn't been what people have thought about first, like
- 1:12:36Speaker 7: any of the logistical things. It's okay, this was the
- 1:12:41Speaker 7: only black guy in a group of with with that
- 1:12:45Speaker 7: everyone else is white. So it's that it's something untoward.
- 1:12:51Speaker 7: It's something like malicious. That's what people are going to
- 1:12:55Speaker 7: a lot of people have thought first. So they said
- 1:12:59Speaker 7: it has to just needs to play out to get
- 1:13:02Speaker 7: more information. But people want to take whatever little information
- 1:13:07Speaker 7: that there is and speculate and feel that they could
- 1:13:11Speaker 7: paint an entire picture and be loud enough about it
- 1:13:16Speaker 7: to think that they're right.
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: We'll be back more to Sports Shock Show right after
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: this like this since a young broad months in ninety six. Yeah,

- 1:16:37Speaker 1: Jay Gil Chris Alexander because he was twenty eight, we
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: thought he was a younger brother. Patrick Beverly is thirty eight.
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: Bro Lessener is forty nine from Snowfall. Angela Lewis is
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: thirty eight years old. Roosevelt career still around. The actor
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: athlete ninety four is Roosevelt Roosevelt Greer.
- 1:17:01Speaker 6: I'd like to apologize because I thought that you and
- 1:17:05Speaker 6: Father Time had a tea time already. I just knew
- 1:17:09Speaker 6: you was blocking people on that great football feel in
- 1:17:13Speaker 6: the sky. But Rosie Grier is still with us at
- 1:17:16Speaker 6: ninety four four. Well deserved, Sir Bravo. Darrel Revis is
- 1:17:22Speaker 6: forty one. Econor McGregor thirty eight. We're just talking about
- 1:17:27Speaker 6: him in Father Times.
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: But Well is sixty three from Yukon's women's basketball. Ashlyn
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: Shade is twenty two. Michael Spinkx is sixty nine. Patrick
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: Stewart plays which character Professor X and pacar Okay Okay
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: is eighty six years old, Rosie Grill like youngster and
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: Harrison Ford is eighty four years of age? Which character
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: Indiana Jones or Han Solo is Harrison Ford more ah
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: recognized as Indiana Jones Indiana Jones. I think it's Han Solo, okay.
- 1:18:16Speaker 6: So I mean, if you're going to have a career
- 1:18:19Speaker 6: of playing characters that have given birth to fifty installments
- 1:18:26Speaker 6: of a franchise, you could be either one Don Solo
- 1:18:31Speaker 6: or Indiana Jones. But he looked up and is both
- 1:18:35Speaker 6: of those people. So I'm sure that whatever one we pick,
- 1:18:39Speaker 6: he wits. Yes, Harrison is eighty four years old. He
- 1:18:43Speaker 6: was the fugitive. He's also the first Jack Reaching Ryan
- 1:18:51Speaker 6: Jack Bryan Jack Ryan as well, clearing Present Danger and
- 1:18:54Speaker 6: all those Yeah, all of them, all of these people
- 1:18:57Speaker 6: A little work here, Big Kenny, Oh, Michelle furious fast
- 1:19:02Speaker 6: and slow it down the share. We ain't got to
- 1:19:05Speaker 6: go that fast now because she's forty eight years out. Yeah,
- 1:19:08Speaker 6: we could pace ourselves.
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: Don't be like that. Don't be like that. You don't
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: always have to be the quarter man. No, we ain't
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: always got to run the quater in the world record time.
- 1:19:17Speaker 6: I'm saying we could get us just a nice you know,
- 1:19:20Speaker 6: a nice loosen our muscles up.
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: God, just sleep divorce, sleep divorce. More couples are trying
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: sleep divorce, which is so interesting of how the world
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: just circles around sleep divorce. Basically, Black and White TV
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: brought you couples that slept in separate beds. That's what
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: sleep divorce is. Trying to keep their relationships or their
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: marriage is happier. Couples are learning to sleep separately. Hmm,
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: Big Kenny, Yes, command she Gregg. This is an idea
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: that as me and Big Kenny were youngsters. Yes, grandmoms,
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: grandpa's moms, they didn't not just sleep in separate beds,
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: separate rooms. My godmother and godfather slept in separate rooms completely.
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: My antient uncle slept in separate homes. So she stayed.
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: She stayed with us sister. They stayed married, but she
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: kept staying with us sister and her brother in law man.
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: She y'all back to maybe something that was said to
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: be dead with the advancement of what in love is.
- 1:20:47Speaker 6: Oh yeah, now you got to because most people do
- 1:20:50Speaker 6: it because of their partners sleeping habits or their sleeping
- 1:20:54Speaker 6: condition like sleep apnea something like that. And with all
- 1:20:58Speaker 6: of these advents and modern technicology adjustable beds and implants
- 1:21:04Speaker 6: and sea space, you would some people still prefer their space.
- 1:21:08Speaker 6: So we've just gone back to you know what, I'm
- 1:21:11Speaker 6: gonna go in the guests row and get me a
- 1:21:13Speaker 6: solid eight hours of sleep instead of this broken six
- 1:21:18Speaker 6: seven that I get sleeping.
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: Next to you, and people be okay, there's more than that.
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: We both get in the bed at eight forty five,
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: but sleep that is kind of right when you say
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: that would be in one of those kind of markers
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: throughout yes, yes, yeah, So we go to sink like that, right,
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: oh right, right now, me and my wife because you're
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: gonna you're not really So I got in the bed
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: at nine right you in here watching the House of
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: the Dragon. Yeah, I don't want, really want you to
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: come in here at eleven fifteen and start, like you said,
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: Big Kenny wrestling with the sheets a sports jock. Do
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: you live in my house?
- 1:22:05Speaker 6: Because I swear that no, no, no, listen, my wife
- 1:22:08Speaker 6: will be watching House Draggon, literally watching House of Dragons,
- 1:22:12Speaker 6: and I'll come in and get in bed, and you know, hey,
- 1:22:19Speaker 6: first of all, cut the volume down.
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: I don't need to give dragons growling while I'm trying
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: to get asleep. Well the TV, hey, man, just cut
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: it down a little bit. Then why are you fidgeting
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: so much?
- 1:22:31Speaker 6: And now I'm fidgeting a lot of because I can't
- 1:22:33Speaker 6: doze off because of the louder TV. The whole dances
- 1:22:38Speaker 6: the dragons are dancing. You ain't related to none of
- 1:22:40Speaker 6: them people. And then she says, to dragons are dancing,
- 1:22:43Speaker 6: and I do one of these, raise up? What dancing dragons?
- 1:22:46Speaker 6: So now I'm drawn in for the next fifteen minutes.
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: Now it's twelve thirty. Now it's twelve thirty, and I look, baby,
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: come on now.
- 1:22:53Speaker 6: And so now the TV goes off, but she's on
- 1:22:55Speaker 6: her phone, and then the phone goes off at maybe
- 1:22:59Speaker 6: three and at four thirty, I pop up, and then.
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: It's you, Hey, it's daytime. We should all be up
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: in active, and it's four thirty.
- 1:23:10Speaker 6: You're gonna sleep the day away, And you know what,
- 1:23:14Speaker 6: it takes some managing, so you've been better off just
- 1:23:17Speaker 6: leaping on the couch. Sleeping on the couch. Now, it
- 1:23:19Speaker 6: doesn't really rear its head until we travel, like we
- 1:23:23Speaker 6: were recently on a vacation. So because I at home,
- 1:23:25Speaker 6: I can get up and go do other things, but
- 1:23:29Speaker 6: at other rooms and still be at home. But when
- 1:23:32Speaker 6: you're in a hotel room, you know, even with the
- 1:23:35Speaker 6: living room bedroom set up, it's kind of I hear
- 1:23:39Speaker 6: all of that and it's all present, and so sleep
- 1:23:42Speaker 6: divorce makes total sleeps.
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: We'll be back more to Sports Shock Show right after.
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: This is knowing Hod Now I'm so and.
- 1:23:55Speaker 8: I'm like going to Dogfhoe might know I'm just cut up,
- 1:24:03Speaker 8: don't bow away.
- 1:24:04Speaker 9: More of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Dan videos
- 1:24:07Speaker 9: coming up next.
- 1:24:09Speaker 16: All right, son, time to put out this campfire. God,
- 1:24:12Speaker 16: we learned about this in school. Oh did you now? Okay,
- 1:24:15Speaker 16: what's first?
- 1:24:16Speaker 20: Smokey Bear said too.
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: First, drown it with the bucket of water, then stir
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: it with the shovel.
- 1:24:21Speaker 16: Wow, you sound just like him, Dangy said.
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: If it's still warm, then do it again.
- 1:24:27Speaker 16: Where can I learn all this?
- 1:24:28Speaker 27: It's all on smokeybear dot com with other wildfire prevention tips,
- 1:24:33Speaker 27: because only you can prevent wildfires.
- 1:24:35Speaker 16: Brought to you by the USDA Forest Service, your state
- 1:24:37Speaker 16: forester and he had counsel.
- 1:24:40Speaker 30: The more you listen to your kids, the closer you'll be.
- 1:24:44Speaker 30: So we asked kids, what do you want your parents
- 1:24:47Speaker 30: to hear?
- 1:24:48Speaker 31: So sometimes that I'm now listening to, I would just
- 1:24:51Speaker 31: want you to listen to me more often and evaluate
- 1:24:53Speaker 31: situations with me and lead me towards success.
- 1:24:57Speaker 32: We're not adults, so just just be there and like, listen.
- 1:25:02Speaker 32: I just want someone to yapp too, and I just
- 1:25:04Speaker 32: be like, I'll be fine. Like if someone just cares
- 1:25:07Speaker 32: me talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and.
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: Talk and talk. You're doing a really good job. And
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: I don't think that's so.
- 1:25:14Speaker 31: I don't know, and I know sometimes we get into it.
- 1:25:18Speaker 31: It's just hard on both of us. But I'll try
- 1:25:21Speaker 31: to understand me more and I'll try to do the same.
- 1:25:25Speaker 30: Listening is a form of love. Find resources to help
- 1:25:29Speaker 30: you support your kids and their emotional well being. I'd

- 1:25:40Speaker 5: I'm a pretty great multitasker. I can wash dishes and
- 1:25:43Speaker 5: do laundry. I can roller skate while walking my dogs.
- 1:25:47Speaker 5: I can even order lunch while doing my homework. But
- 1:25:50Speaker 5: I can't use my phone while driving. I Distracted drivers
- 1:25:54Speaker 5: one of the leading causes of death in the United States.
- 1:25:57Speaker 5: So when it comes to driving, please don't be a
- 1:25:59Speaker 5: multi task.
- 1:26:00Speaker 2: Don't drive distracted.
- 1:26:02Speaker 19: A message brought to you by the National Highway Traffic
- 1:26:04Speaker 19: Safety Administration, Project yellow Light, and the AD Council.

- 1:26:20Speaker 23: I've been given full access to the player's lounge on

- 1:26:49Speaker 1: Something going on. I feel work back to this spoe
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: shot shot the spoe shot Wayne Candy. How many of
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: y'all out there pondering that sleep divorce, don't don't I
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: was I'm just the message don't get me and you.
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: I was just giving you what some new data and
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: command you Greg, you know, you go home trying to
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: crack the whip, showing up with your new bed and
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: stuff like that, and.
- 1:27:15Speaker 20: Vote.
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: I wasn't saying try that. I was just telling you
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: a new trend.
- 1:27:20Speaker 6: And now I think it's funny that they call it
- 1:27:22Speaker 6: new because growing up watching a lot of sitcoms, that's
- 1:27:26Speaker 6: how marriage was displaced.
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: I was displaced love, Dick Van Dyke, all of those
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: up until the Anything in the fifties and sixties showed
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: you this id which, yeah, the first the first couple.
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: I think the first time I saw a couple in
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: bed together was the Brady Book. Okay, and I think
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: the first season they might have been in separate beds,
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: but by the time Oliver had moved into the house,
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: they were sleeping together. Different schedules, different sleep patterns, cold
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: hot McKinney said, I got all of that. Somebody's up
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: at four thirty, somebody else is not up until seven,
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: all those kind of factors how you go to sleep.
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: Some people like to work from computer in bed. Some
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: people like to watch TV longer, different like some people
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: like to sleep with the TV on. Some people right,
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: and some people don't. They want Some people want to
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: hear music you know, the whole white noise thing is
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: a new thing. It's a lot of colors.
- 1:28:34Speaker 6: It's the middle of the summer, and I sleep with
- 1:28:37Speaker 6: a fleece comforter and fleece blanket because my wife has
- 1:28:40Speaker 6: the ac on store meet and two or three fans
- 1:28:47Speaker 6: directly pointed at the bed. And I can't sleep when
- 1:28:50Speaker 6: it's hot fourteen degrees in here? Don't couldn't we at
- 1:28:53Speaker 6: least raise twenty three?
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: Oh that's good.
- 1:28:55Speaker 7: I'm gone, Okay, you know what, I'll be back that
- 1:29:00Speaker 7: there are there's more than just white noise. There is
- 1:29:03Speaker 7: brown noise, brown, green, red, black. I don't know the difference.
- 1:29:09Speaker 7: I don't know the difference. It's it's the it's the
- 1:29:12Speaker 7: frequencies like black noise sounds like almost demonic.
- 1:29:18Speaker 6: Uh.
- 1:29:19Speaker 7: White noise sounds like TV static. And each each level
- 1:29:26Speaker 7: is a different kind of frequency.
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: Because some people can't sleep without noise and some people
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: can't sleep with it. I've taken I've went to tell
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: a sleep study about ten years ago when they put
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: you and we are just on different and especially as
- 1:29:41Speaker 1: you get older, how you sleep is truly unique. Yes,
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: it is to you, to you, it is to somebody else.
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: Vic Kenny. We said, we got a couple of comments online.
- 1:29:53Speaker 6: Yeah, I think the number one comment has to be
- 1:29:56Speaker 6: side Chick shot put is next month. Then he also
- 1:30:01Speaker 6: said that FIFA and IOC are the most corrupt sports organizations,
- 1:30:05Speaker 6: and we've heard a lot of that. He agrees with
- 1:30:09Speaker 6: us that he hates the heart Knock Life song. And
- 1:30:13Speaker 6: when we were talking about the Auburn Alabama rivalry, Uncle
- 1:30:16Speaker 6: Charlie said, yep, get the hell out of Michigan, go
- 1:30:19Speaker 6: back to Ohio Traders, and.
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: I was like, speaking of rivalries, I forgot all about
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: that one.
- 1:30:27Speaker 6: When we were talking about Nolan Wales, he said, all
- 1:30:29Speaker 6: of that that you guys just said is exactly why
- 1:30:32Speaker 6: they need an independent investigation, as people are asking for,
- 1:30:36Speaker 6: and in my opinion, I think that that would be
- 1:30:39Speaker 6: the best step in trying to quell some of those uncertainties.
- 1:30:43Speaker 6: But jurisdiction plays a huge part in a lot of
- 1:30:46Speaker 6: these cases, and they don't like.
- 1:30:48Speaker 7: That, saying that Colin Kaepernick is paying for an independent
- 1:30:53Speaker 7: autos autopsy.
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: And here here's my ideal. I'm okay, I'm okay with
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: you doing an independent if that's what you feel you
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: should do that in any area whether it's your health right,
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: whether it is your finances, you should at some point
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: take your whatever to another see what they would say
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: about it. I'm for that, but first you got to
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: have the initial.
- 1:31:19Speaker 6: The initial say you didn't even get this, dude, say
- 1:31:23Speaker 6: my twenty thousand dollars is only worth thirty five thousand
- 1:31:26Speaker 6: dollars after twenty years.
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: I'm gonna see what this dude saying. This is not
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: a spark after the first the first autopsy could have
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: came back and actually verified what you thought. But we
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: don't even have that yet. You don't have that yet.
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: So this is not a reaction to, Oh, I just
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: don't believe those facts are right, right. This is a
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: reaction to we don't even have a case yet. Correct, correct,
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: So go ahead. And then Jed Lloyd says, sign him
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: up for that sleek divorce. I don't even know if
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: he's married, so he just sleeping separate rooms at his
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: own house.
- 1:32:03Speaker 6: And then Uncle Charlie said, no, sleep divorce make more
- 1:32:06Speaker 6: sense than rumbling at Joe's bar.
- 1:32:08Speaker 1: What the hell?
- 1:32:11Speaker 6: But unless you never delivered packages, uncle Charlie, you don't
- 1:32:14Speaker 6: know what it's like to get down to Jose and
- 1:32:15Speaker 6: think I could take that, dude, Come on you.
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: Greg and I have gone back a couple of times
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: over what is hate crime in a friendly way? And
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: this was sparked doing the finals where the gentleman was
- 1:32:31Speaker 1: jumped in New York for having on a Spurs jersey,
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: and we were just deliberating about how doesn't that fall
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: under the same cold of a hate crime when a
- 1:32:48Speaker 1: hate crime is basically people violently engaging you of appearance
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: or a difference of religion or your sexuality. Well, you're
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: nick I'm Spurs. That's why you're beating me up. Because
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: I'm glad of that, because you didn't scream. There goes
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: a human being. You scream a Spurs fan, a Spurs fan.
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: Then y'all let's get him, and then y'all jump. Well,
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: a couple of weeks ago, after the Carmelo Anthony situation,
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: three women are facing charges of attacking a young lady
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: saying free Carmelo. This story seems like people just kind
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: of jumped over it, but three young ladies decided they
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: were for the idea that Carmelo Anthony, the young man
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: who has been convicted of murder after stabbing a young
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: man last year in the stands that attract me. They
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: went on their social media and there's different claim by
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: people around them where they were discussing any white girl
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: can get it, followed by free car. Mellow witnesses are
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: testifying that the three young ladies were sitting there discussing
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: the next white person to come by. They was gonna
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: get it. Comtch you. So, since you're the judge of
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: hate crime, does this fall under hate crime? Okay?
- 1:34:42Speaker 7: Just to be clear, they're discussing it. Was there any
- 1:34:47Speaker 7: violence committee they jumped?
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: They jump? Did happen?
- 1:34:52Speaker 7: That's why they got arrested for There is a path
- 1:34:54Speaker 7: to it being considered a hate crime.
- 1:35:01Speaker 6: Wat you mean a path if you inact a gang
- 1:35:04Speaker 6: statue that has enhanced penalty for gang activity.
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: And I say they go to from the south side,
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: I'm just we jump you.
- 1:35:13Speaker 7: The legal process that has to be you have to
- 1:35:18Speaker 7: like put that on, you have to make that your
- 1:35:20Speaker 7: case subject that part of the case subjective.
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: According to the report of security guard saw a crowd
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: gathering outside nightclub on Junior before hearing someone allegedly say
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: the next white explicit word that walks out, I'm going
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: to hit her. The victim walked through the area and
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: that's where she was jumped by these three ladies. Any
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: white girl can get it, followed by free Carmela. Oh yeah,
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: that's going to federal court. That's that.
- 1:36:00Speaker 7: There are witnesses that I'm saying there is a path
- 1:36:05Speaker 7: because they can choose to you know, prossers can choose
- 1:36:09Speaker 7: not to do that, but now they have that, they.
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: Have that option. And and this this is and clearly
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: this is not the same as I'm wearing a Spurs jersey.
- 1:36:20Speaker 33: Ont not the same no ftteral protection sports fandom.
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: That is not on the books. He got on his
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: brunts and jersey. I got on my car Anthony, he
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: got on his John Starks jersey. Next, I don't care
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: if it's David Robinson put it on the books. Otherwise
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: that does not count. Well does this one count at least? Yes?
- 1:36:51Speaker 6: Okay, okay, So you're saying, only because they used words
- 1:36:56Speaker 6: of race before the violence, it may crime, but to.
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: So it was just regular. So you're saying, of me,
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: Vic Kenny and a third Nick fan just wink at
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: each other, that's not since we didn't magine nothing that,
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: since we didn't say anything, it doesn't count that we
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: jumped the Spurs fan.
- 1:37:21Speaker 7: It's not a hate crime either way. In that situation.
- 1:37:26Speaker 7: Sports fandom is not part of that law.
- 1:37:30Speaker 6: And command you, Gregs, I said, put it on the
- 1:37:33Speaker 6: otherwise it does not count and doesn't matter.
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: It's irrelevant.
- 1:37:37Speaker 6: And the people who support hate crimes, what happens is
- 1:37:40Speaker 6: a lot of them try and use those nuances and
- 1:37:43Speaker 6: then when it happens in the reverse, they go oh.
- 1:37:46Speaker 6: But then people go, no, we wasn't jumping him because
- 1:37:49Speaker 6: he was black. We was jumping him because he was
- 1:37:52Speaker 6: a Spurs fan, but because we happen to be all white.
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: You trying to make it some sort of hate crime,
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: and people would go, no, no, it was a hate crime.
- 1:38:02Speaker 1: They obviously had.
- 1:38:03Speaker 6: The intent, And I'm just saying you can't have it
- 1:38:07Speaker 6: one way and not have it the same way on
- 1:38:09Speaker 6: the other side. So I'm just saying to me the words, hey,
- 1:38:13Speaker 6: look it's a Spurs fan.
- 1:38:16Speaker 1: Let get him.
- 1:38:18Speaker 31: It was.
- 1:38:18Speaker 1: It's what the motivating, the fact you've got.
- 1:38:27Speaker 9: The usion song so much, Give me hot, don't go

- 1:40:11Speaker 29: Jock Show. And now back to the sports job, Wayne Candy.
- 1:40:29Speaker 1: It's wing alright, it's.
- 1:40:40Speaker 3: Long answer. You can see the sports joint. I'll sing
- 1:40:44Speaker 3: even Ny, Welcome back.
- 1:40:48Speaker 1: To this sport shock show. I'm the sports shock Wayne Candy.
- 1:40:51Speaker 1: Kerr Krilissa. I want to crilis uh. It's how I
- 1:40:58Speaker 1: want to say. You say this gentleman's last name. He
- 1:41:01Speaker 1: was indicted on a last two point two million dollar
- 1:41:04Speaker 1: fraud scam in connection with college basketball. Former Draft Kings
- 1:41:14Speaker 1: trader Charging Fresno for hoops betting worked at drafts King.
- 1:41:25Speaker 1: Samuel Silverman had put together a little prop bet shaven guys,
- 1:41:38Speaker 1: are you surprised how much? Specially in past. I mean
- 1:41:44Speaker 1: we've had from NBA, big time college, small time college,
- 1:41:49Speaker 1: however you want to package it. Is this what the
- 1:41:56Speaker 1: people who were resistant to injecting gambling into like this
- 1:42:02Speaker 1: mainstream model? Was this what they were talking about when
- 1:42:11Speaker 1: they were standing in front of Congress and different boards
- 1:42:16Speaker 1: and trying to get us to realize, Now you do
- 1:42:18Speaker 1: know like when you make this the norm, right, this
- 1:42:22Speaker 1: is what you're you're kind of bringing back. Well, I
- 1:42:25Speaker 1: guess the thing is with this particular guy, the Draft
- 1:42:30Speaker 1: King Silverman, or with Kirk Creasa Kurka Okay, uh, that
- 1:42:37Speaker 1: was just that that wasn't related to to playing. It
- 1:42:47Speaker 1: was it was he was just trying to deceive people
- 1:42:50Speaker 1: out of money. That was That was a straight fraud. Okay, okay, okay,
- 1:42:55Speaker 1: spend that? Yes?
- 1:42:59Speaker 9: What was that?
- 1:43:00Speaker 1: What was I just set you up? Yeah? Can you
- 1:43:04Speaker 1: go ahead on and get it and get you to
- 1:43:05Speaker 1: spend that on them? Where all my scamming?
- 1:43:12Speaker 31: Now?
- 1:43:13Speaker 6: And see we talk about spend that, but have we
- 1:43:18Speaker 6: become a culture of just scammers? Usually scammers were people
- 1:43:24Speaker 6: that you imagined didn't have access to jobs at FanDuel
- 1:43:29Speaker 6: or Draft Kings and things like that. But here you
- 1:43:32Speaker 6: are in a position where you manipulating systems. Haven't you
- 1:43:39Speaker 6: made it already? Like how much is enough? And so
- 1:43:43Speaker 6: I don't know. When the people who sat before Congress
- 1:43:48Speaker 6: talked about gambling and how it would affect sports, this also,
- 1:43:54Speaker 6: I think would fall under it, because there would be
- 1:43:58Speaker 6: no other way for you to trick me into giving
- 1:44:01Speaker 6: you money to bet on sports. If sports wasn't able
- 1:44:05Speaker 6: to be waged on legally, I wouldn't have failed for
- 1:44:08Speaker 6: the Yeah, because DraftKings sound legit. We know that's a
- 1:44:12Speaker 6: legit company. I'm not going to louie them placing a
- 1:44:15Speaker 6: bet on the corner. I didn't go to the bookie
- 1:44:18Speaker 6: at the barber shop. I came straight online, or I
- 1:44:21Speaker 6: went into your brick and mortar business. But you imagine
- 1:44:27Speaker 6: that if corruption got involved like we've seen in college basketball,
- 1:44:32Speaker 6: they'd be going after the players who play for Ukon.
- 1:44:36Speaker 6: They'd be going after the guys who were at North Carolina.
- 1:44:40Speaker 6: But they went and found a kid from Mississippi Valley
- 1:44:42Speaker 6: States State, Alabama State.
- 1:44:44Speaker 1: Alabama State. They found somebody. That's what I said, mid major,
- 1:44:49Speaker 1: small schools, it don't make a difference. They really they'll
- 1:44:53Speaker 1: find you. That's the thing about letting it through the door.
- 1:44:57Speaker 1: And a lot of times those games have more money
- 1:45:01Speaker 1: profit in them when you can fix those games.
- 1:45:07Speaker 6: Because nobody expected Mississippi Valley State to show up and
- 1:45:11Speaker 6: show out. Nobody even knew that this dude could snatch
- 1:45:15Speaker 6: twelve rebounds a game.
- 1:45:18Speaker 7: So it's not even necessarily like that. It's like, Okay,
- 1:45:22Speaker 7: his over under was four rebounds, but one hundred people
- 1:45:27Speaker 7: just put five thousand dollars just on those four rebounds.
- 1:45:32Speaker 1: And so that.
- 1:45:36Speaker 6: But how you're gonna tell a kid that's playing for
- 1:45:38Speaker 6: Mississippi Valley State don't take thirty thousand dollars something like that.
- 1:45:43Speaker 1: WNBA seems to have an issue, guys with refereeing.
- 1:45:48Speaker 27: Is it.
- 1:45:51Speaker 1: The league or is it the players in the league.
- 1:45:58Speaker 1: They have a problem. Everybody's complaining everything. Are we supposed
- 1:46:02Speaker 1: to just get rid of all the referees or are
- 1:46:06Speaker 1: we dealing with an athlete that mentally always has a
- 1:46:16Speaker 1: tit for tat mentality? Because what is the problem with
- 1:46:20Speaker 1: the referees. They're doing their job, they're calling calls.
- 1:46:24Speaker 26: What is well?
- 1:46:25Speaker 7: We see people make it up in their mind that
- 1:46:27Speaker 7: there's like preferential treatment for certain players or teams. Everyone
- 1:46:32Speaker 7: that thinks that about some player or some team, like, oh,
- 1:46:36Speaker 7: this person gets all the calls and I don't get
- 1:46:39Speaker 7: any of the calls. You know, they they tripped me
- 1:46:42Speaker 7: and you didn't call anything, but I step on their
- 1:46:45Speaker 7: foot and you wouldn't give me a flagranfoul.
- 1:46:47Speaker 1: And we seem to scene see that in the w
- 1:46:49Speaker 1: NBA all across the board, and it's becoming something that
- 1:46:53Speaker 1: we might have to address the difference in gender because
- 1:46:58Speaker 1: it's becoming uh and give it it, as we say,
- 1:47:01Speaker 1: the room to breathe, But it becomes where they are,
- 1:47:05Speaker 1: whether it's the Caitlin Clark situation, whether it's the All
- 1:47:11Speaker 1: Star Game where Angel Reese is saying that it's unfair
- 1:47:14Speaker 1: that none of the dream or in the starting lineup,
- 1:47:20Speaker 1: and or the refereeing. I've never seen a league plain
- 1:47:27Speaker 1: as much.
- 1:47:28Speaker 6: We've sinked again because I was just thinking, is this
- 1:47:31Speaker 6: what people were complaining about when they were talking about
- 1:47:33Speaker 6: the level of women's basketball and the ability for them
- 1:47:38Speaker 6: to hold the fans' attention.
- 1:47:40Speaker 1: We want to watch you hoop.
- 1:47:42Speaker 6: You just went into a historic realm and time for
- 1:47:46Speaker 6: your league and all you doing is complaining and moaning
- 1:47:50Speaker 6: and groaning about what the refs won't do and what
- 1:47:53Speaker 6: these people should think and what they ought to feel.
- 1:47:56Speaker 6: This instead of field that. Remember in the NBA eliminated
- 1:48:01Speaker 6: all that I can't brief stuff. Look, man, let's just
- 1:48:04Speaker 6: go back to keep basketball playing basketball. We'll be back
- 1:48:08Speaker 6: more to Sportstock Show right after this.
- 1:48:15Speaker 19: To Home and.

- 1:49:29Speaker 10: dot com. And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance.
- 1:49:33Speaker 10: Three quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical
- 1:49:36Speaker 10: piece of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually
- 1:49:40Speaker 10: have life insurance.
- 1:49:41Speaker 34: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:49:43Speaker 34: just getting started with our family and thought we lived forever.
- 1:49:45Speaker 1: Life insurance.
- 1:49:46Speaker 2: What's the last thing on my mind?
- 1:49:47Speaker 1: What about you?
- 1:49:48Speaker 2: Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:49:51Speaker 34: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:49:52Speaker 34: bills piling up, I was worried how my family will
- 1:49:54Speaker 34: survive without me. That's what I'm in an appointment with
- 1:49:56Speaker 34: the insurance informant.
- 1:49:58Speaker 10: Information gives you power, and life insurance gives your family
- 1:50:01Speaker 10: security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:50:03Speaker 34: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I'll
- 1:50:06Speaker 34: leave my family that bills or benefits.
- 1:50:08Speaker 10: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 1:50:10Speaker 10: whether you earn a little or a lot, all you
- 1:50:12Speaker 10: need is the insurance informant to help you build a
- 1:50:15Speaker 10: foundation of security, because without you, your family will have
- 1:50:18Speaker 10: two options, benefits or bills. Which legacy will you leave behind?
- 1:50:23Speaker 10: Log on today benefits or bills dot com. That's benefits
- 1:50:27Speaker 10: orbills dot com.
- 1:50:32Speaker 1: And now back to the sports job Wayne Gandy.
- 1:50:37Speaker 25: Now it's time for the school board when we put
- 1:50:41Speaker 25: a spin on life and sports and how they intermingle
- 1:50:45Speaker 25: on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:50:54Speaker 1: Magots. Okay, we can get up God? What buck?
- 1:51:11Speaker 4: This?
- 1:51:12Speaker 1: What shot? So this was shot? Wing Gandy. We talked
- 1:51:15Speaker 1: about the final four of France, England, Spain and Argentina.
- 1:51:21Speaker 1: Argentina has just lifted a rule, at least in this
- 1:51:24Speaker 1: one case, for a family, some parents to name their
- 1:51:29Speaker 1: kid Messi Lionel Messi uh, the soccer god for Argentina
- 1:51:37Speaker 1: and maybe the whole world of soccer. But in Argentina
- 1:51:42Speaker 1: the rule was you can't name the surname. You can't
- 1:51:47Speaker 1: take the last name of someone and name your kid
- 1:51:52Speaker 1: and make it someone's first name. But there's a lot
- 1:51:55Speaker 1: of kids in Argentina named Lionel. This family wanted to
- 1:52:00Speaker 1: name their kid Messi, and at least in this exception,
- 1:52:05Speaker 1: they didn't say why. But I guess they're going to
- 1:52:08Speaker 1: start letting people use the messy name. Yeah, Okay. In
- 1:52:14Speaker 1: the w NB A Bethany Laney Hamilton yesterday tossed out
- 1:52:20Speaker 1: the game, and it just goes back to how I'm
- 1:52:23Speaker 1: always trying to figure out when you do an act
- 1:52:25Speaker 1: and you don't want to own the act. She grab
- 1:52:29Speaker 1: a player's shoe. She hit the young lady and maybe
- 1:52:32Speaker 1: she would have gotten away with it if her and
- 1:52:37Speaker 1: Marina Morbury hadn't already had two incidents before in the game.
- 1:52:44Speaker 1: But as one of Laney Hamilton's teammates shoe came off,
- 1:52:49Speaker 1: she brought the shoe back from down court. She was
- 1:52:53Speaker 1: trying to get it to her teammate, but hit Marina
- 1:52:56Speaker 1: Morbury in the back with shoe defence. Mc kenny command.
- 1:53:01Speaker 1: She instead of owning it, was that she was trying
- 1:53:06Speaker 1: to get it to her teammate, who was about fifteen
- 1:53:12Speaker 1: feet away. So I guess her eyesight is bad, but
- 1:53:16Speaker 1: to be a basketball player. That's kind of far away
- 1:53:18Speaker 1: to miss me. I'm trying to throw you the shoe,
- 1:53:21Speaker 1: Big Kenny, but I hit command you, Greg. So was
- 1:53:26Speaker 1: I which one was I doing?
- 1:53:29Speaker 6: And as I'm looking at the video, I don't see
- 1:53:31Speaker 6: nobody badfoot nowhere near where the shoe was. And I'm saying,
- 1:53:36Speaker 6: I'm some of that might make sense if I was
- 1:53:40Speaker 6: trying to throw a shoe and I hit command you,
- 1:53:43Speaker 6: Greg with the shoe. But what I usually do is cybersecurity.
- 1:53:50Speaker 6: I'm a person who throws stuff across the court all
- 1:53:53Speaker 6: the time in my profession. I ain't never hit nobody
- 1:53:55Speaker 6: with the ball. I got perfect control of the ball.
- 1:53:59Speaker 6: It's much larger item than the shoe. How come my command?
- 1:54:02Speaker 6: I lost my cool? Is it more of a fine if.
- 1:54:05Speaker 1: I lose my cool? I would imagine I would do
- 1:54:08Speaker 1: just I want you just to be like Draymond, own
- 1:54:11Speaker 1: it my bad and take it. Man, it's basketball, instead
- 1:54:17Speaker 1: of trying to put it that you were trying to
- 1:54:19Speaker 1: get it to someone else. Man, it's bass. Stephen A.
- 1:54:26Speaker 1: Smith catching a couple of different blows last week, Command you,
- 1:54:32Speaker 1: Greg for calling Big Kenny the Lakers the white Dude
- 1:54:37Speaker 1: Central Team. Is that I see both of you smirking.
- 1:54:45Speaker 1: I don't know if that's need to get off his
- 1:54:48Speaker 1: timeline that's all they need to do. He's trying to
- 1:54:51Speaker 1: And this is what I think is interesting sometimes. I
- 1:54:54Speaker 1: think Stephen A.
- 1:54:54Speaker 6: Smith, because he has other interests outside of ESPN, tries
- 1:54:59Speaker 6: to dry I have some of that traffic from ESPN
- 1:55:03Speaker 6: to his other interests. And the way he does that
- 1:55:05Speaker 6: is he sees what certain people care about online and
- 1:55:08Speaker 6: then inserts that in his first take rants and reviews
- 1:55:16Speaker 6: and that, because that's something that's you know, they've been
- 1:55:19Speaker 6: teasing the Lakers about. But now they didn't kick people
- 1:55:23Speaker 6: off ESPN for saying less they've definitely kicked people off
- 1:55:29Speaker 6: ESPN for saying for making lesser claims? Though, how do
- 1:55:32Speaker 6: you think ESPN will handle this? With Steven ak COMANCHI?
- 1:55:35Speaker 6: Greg can I can I call this team? And and
- 1:55:38Speaker 6: my biggest question was why here and there? When teams
- 1:55:41Speaker 6: end up with more of a white lineup, sometimes just
- 1:55:46Speaker 6: here and there. It's different maybe if it's historical, but
- 1:55:53Speaker 6: we've seen Laker teams where all the players are.
- 1:55:58Speaker 1: Black. Yeah, a lot of teams where all players are black.
- 1:56:02Speaker 30: Right.
- 1:56:03Speaker 7: This is another that the expectations of or what people
- 1:56:09Speaker 7: think something is supposed to be. And he thinks that
- 1:56:15Speaker 7: there's an issue with because he said, like, your three
- 1:56:19Speaker 7: top players are white dudes. Really, this ain't golf, this
- 1:56:22Speaker 7: ain't baseball, it ain't even soccer. This is basketball. So
- 1:56:26Speaker 7: it's part of the thinking that certain sports belong to
- 1:56:30Speaker 7: certain ethnicities.
- 1:56:32Speaker 1: And here I am.
- 1:56:35Speaker 7: Outside of that. Something's wrong. But this is what I'm saying,
- 1:56:38Speaker 7: and that I can talk about it.
- 1:56:39Speaker 1: But two of the three people were already there, right,
- 1:56:45Speaker 1: and the lebron left. I went to pick it. I'm
- 1:56:49Speaker 1: trying to build a team. I go get the Kessler kid.
- 1:56:52Speaker 1: And now just because I got the Kessler kid to
- 1:56:55Speaker 1: go along with Luca and Reeves and.
- 1:56:59Speaker 7: White dude neck and you got Jake Laravia and you
- 1:57:03Speaker 7: got the dude Sandro who played for the Raptors last year.
- 1:57:07Speaker 1: And this is the okay, and you can put me
- 1:57:10Speaker 1: to put me down for I got four in the
- 1:57:12Speaker 1: possible Am I supposed to be mad? Because I got all?
- 1:57:18Speaker 7: I would love to see how far we could go back.
- 1:57:20Speaker 7: Like you said, if it's if if they were black,
- 1:57:23Speaker 7: we're not even talking about this. Was like, because they're
- 1:57:26Speaker 7: they're not black. What they're trying to do. They're trying
- 1:57:29Speaker 7: to appeal to a certain audience.
- 1:57:30Speaker 6: And that's what I wanted to say, is I would
- 1:57:33Speaker 6: love to go back and get some Stephen a clip
- 1:57:36Speaker 6: sound bites on when people were criticizing Tiger Woods for
- 1:57:39Speaker 6: getting in the golf, come on, man, why don't you
- 1:57:41Speaker 6: shoot hoop? This is this is white dude's game. When uh,
- 1:57:47Speaker 6: when Vince Evans and uh, Reggie Collier and my man
- 1:57:54Speaker 6: at one with the Redskins with Doug Williams, when they
- 1:57:58Speaker 6: would tell, come on, man.
- 1:58:00Speaker 1: You know black people don't play quarterback.
- 1:58:02Speaker 6: Where was Stephen Aden And because at that time that
- 1:58:06Speaker 6: was the sensibility. And now he's trying to say that
- 1:58:09Speaker 6: there weren't enough black guy, And now he's trying to
- 1:58:13Speaker 6: say that white dudes can't jump. That's basically his stands
- 1:58:18Speaker 6: is you have no business starting because you white.
- 1:58:23Speaker 1: And that would be out of any non.
- 1:58:28Speaker 6: Person of color's mouth that would be considered racist and
- 1:58:30Speaker 6: they would want them canceled and pulled off the air.
- 1:58:34Speaker 1: Interesting sometimes in these stories they don't even when it's them,
- 1:58:39Speaker 1: they don't won't even report on it or make light
- 1:58:44Speaker 1: of it. So and we are in the ocean. The
- 1:58:50Speaker 1: truth is he will throw you in the ocean. It's
- 1:58:54Speaker 1: time to wrap things up on the.
- 1:58:56Speaker 2: Sports Judge Show with Wayne Candy.

- 1:59:45Speaker 1: So which one is it? NFL? Which one is it?
- 1:59:50Speaker 9: You?
- 1:59:50Speaker 1: Black ball? Ray Rice? Never let him play football again.
- 1:59:55Speaker 1: You suspended Adrian Peterson for a whole year for what
- 2:00:01Speaker 1: you felt was wrong because he spanked his kid, ray
- 2:00:05Speaker 1: Rice hit his wife. You never let him play football again.
- 2:00:11Speaker 1: Terry and Arnold is on a million dollar bum that
- 2:00:17Speaker 1: he was lucky to get. But pissed the whipping people
- 2:00:24Speaker 1: five people say he pissed the whip. Some people. A
- 2:00:27Speaker 1: lot of people say a lot of people it's one
- 2:00:30Speaker 1: of those the people that actually pissed the whip. The
- 2:00:33Speaker 1: people are the people that saying Terry on that's what,
- 2:00:36Speaker 1: that's what. But a lot of people say it though
- 2:00:39Speaker 1: it was his idea. A lot of people say it though,
- 2:00:41Speaker 1: and you are telling me you're letting teams have the
- 2:00:45Speaker 1: option of working Carrion Arnold out. Which one is it.
- 2:00:53Speaker 12: Is?
- 2:00:54Speaker 1: Which one is it? Just because nobody is in uproar,
- 2:00:57Speaker 1: there's no pickets, there's no no, no, no protests. Keep
- 2:01:04Speaker 1: the line the same, carrying on. O't have his day
- 2:01:08Speaker 1: in court and he's found innocent, go back to work.
- 2:01:12Speaker 1: Same way I said, Oj deserves to be in the
- 2:01:15Speaker 1: Bills history because he had his day in court. He
- 2:01:20Speaker 1: was found innocent, Yes he was. But for you the greenlight,
- 2:01:26Speaker 1: the teams can work a man out on a million
- 2:01:28Speaker 1: dollar bun when the people that actually did the crime
- 2:01:32Speaker 1: with him are confessing in court. They got us. I
- 2:01:40Speaker 1: don't get it. NFL sometimes how you stagger on that line.
- 2:01:47Speaker 1: So for them teams out there that's willing to take
- 2:01:50Speaker 1: talent over moriah or morals, fuck the plank. But at
- 2:02:05Speaker 1: least they settled with Colin Kaepernick. They need that. We've
- 2:02:12Speaker 1: been kidding the funny man himself and command you Greg
- 2:02:15Speaker 1: and the Sports Shock Show. I hope you have a
- 2:02:17Speaker 1: good afternoon. Peace,
