- 2:26SPEAKER_03: Your script, Caitlin.
- 2:27SPEAKER_03: We're going off of your script.
- 2:28SPEAKER_05: I know, but every time I do this, because to our listeners and to Lindy and Ryan, I am what they call the color commentator, where I just add, you know, little pieces of entertainment for our listeners.
- 2:39SPEAKER_05: You are in the pieces of education.
- 2:41SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 2:42SPEAKER_05: Here and there.
- 2:43SPEAKER_05: No, a lot.
- 2:44SPEAKER_05: Okay, hold on.
- 2:44SPEAKER_05: I might need readers at this point.
- 2:46SPEAKER_05: I mean, you know what I'm saying?
- 2:48SPEAKER_05: Guys, okay.
- 2:48SPEAKER_05: I'm just saying I've been waiting.
- 2:50SPEAKER_05: My mouse's been salivating.
- 2:52SPEAKER_05: I've been having to sit here and look at this now for 15 minutes.
- 2:55SPEAKER_05: Just for context.
- 2:56SPEAKER_05: It's 1.49 p.m.
- 2:58SPEAKER_05: And I am now taking my very first drink of caffeinated beverage from the very best place, Sips Coffee Co.
- 3:04SPEAKER_05: From the New Fall Menu.

- 3:07SPEAKER_03: That they're bringing to us today, right?
- 3:09SPEAKER_05: So we all because she is our official drink sponsor.
- 3:12SPEAKER_05: Now I got the scarecrow.
- 3:15SPEAKER_05: Well she, I am sips.
- 3:17SPEAKER_05: Do you guys?
- 3:20SPEAKER_03: That's right.
- 3:20SPEAKER_03: That's right.
- 3:21SPEAKER_05: Is there a boy?
- 3:22SPEAKER_04: Not yet.
- 3:22SPEAKER_05: Ships is a ships.
- 3:24SPEAKER_04: Ships.
- 3:25SPEAKER_06: Is a she.
- 3:26SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 3:27SPEAKER_04: Right now.
- 3:27SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 3:27SPEAKER_06: Oh.
- 3:28SPEAKER_06: I've actually trained him back in the beginning.
- 3:30SPEAKER_06: I'm trained.
- 3:31SPEAKER_06: I'm trained in.
- 3:33SPEAKER_04: Can be a little barista?
- 3:34SPEAKER_04: No.
- 3:36SPEAKER_06: He can pull espresso shots.
- 3:37SPEAKER_05: So, okay.
- 3:38SPEAKER_05: That's the hardest part.
- 3:40SPEAKER_05: I love it.
- 3:40SPEAKER_05: So speaking of espresso shots, we've got one in here, right?
- 3:44SPEAKER_05: Three.
- 3:44SPEAKER_03: Tell me about she has three espresso shots.
- 3:46SPEAKER_03: Tell me what's all in my scarecrow.
- 3:48SPEAKER_03: Do I have a latte?
- 3:49SPEAKER_03: So you have a scarecrow latte.
- 3:51SPEAKER_03: Uh-huh.
- 3:51SPEAKER_03: Hold it up for the camera.
- 3:53SPEAKER_03: Turn the sets to the camera.
- 3:54SPEAKER_05: Oh.
- 3:55SPEAKER_03: Hello?
- 3:56SPEAKER_05: I thought it was.
- 3:57SPEAKER_06: No, it wasn't.
- 3:57SPEAKER_06: And it has a week.
- 3:58SPEAKER_06: Look, okay, so Lenny explained what's all in here.
- 4:01SPEAKER_06: Okay, so that has been our number one top seller at all three shops.
- 4:05SPEAKER_04: It's sold out right now in Gillespie, I think.
- 4:07SPEAKER_06: Yeah, we use all of our flavors for the company.
- 4:11SPEAKER_03: Scarce.
- 4:12SPEAKER_03: Such a scary crow.
- 4:13SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 4:13SPEAKER_06: It has brown sugar, salted caramel, toasted marshmallow, and then it's got the cold foam that comes on top.
- 4:20SPEAKER_06: I'm just and that cold foam.
- 4:21SPEAKER_06: Three shots of three shots of espresso.
- 4:24SPEAKER_06: And then there's milk.
- 4:26SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 4:26SPEAKER_05: Milk.
- 4:26SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 4:27SPEAKER_05: And Lindy has me switched to um whole milk when I was an almond milk girl for literal 10 years.
- 4:33SPEAKER_03: Slurp up.
- 4:34SPEAKER_03: Slurp up.
- 4:36SPEAKER_05: You know, you know, I was so thirsty.
- 4:38SPEAKER_03: Okay, we're not at quick trip doing the big gulp.
- 4:40SPEAKER_03: We're at sips.
- 4:42SPEAKER_05: Let me take my sip.
- 4:43SPEAKER_03: Your sip.
- 4:44SPEAKER_05: I took a huge gulp.
- 4:45SPEAKER_05: You guys but that's what that's what I told you before about this.
- 4:49SPEAKER_05: You can gulp this.
- 4:52SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 4:53SPEAKER_05: It's so smooth.
- 4:54SPEAKER_05: And it's all those just perfect flavors.
- 4:56SPEAKER_05: I mean, those are all my favorite flavors, so I knew I would like it.
- 4:59SPEAKER_05: I just never had them mixed together.
- 5:01SPEAKER_05: For you to think of that.
- 5:02SPEAKER_06: God bless you.
- 5:03SPEAKER_06: 10 out of 10.
- 5:04SPEAKER_06: 12 out of 10.
- 5:04SPEAKER_03: 10, 12 out of 10.
- 5:05SPEAKER_03: Chris, what do you think?
- 5:06SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 5:06SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 5:07SPEAKER_03: This is what I have.
- 5:08SPEAKER_03: Now explain to me, Lindy.
- 5:09SPEAKER_03: What am I drinking?
- 5:10SPEAKER_06: Okay.
- 5:10SPEAKER_06: So you said you don't like coffee, but you know what I mean?
- 5:12SPEAKER_03: No offense to sips.
- 5:13SPEAKER_03: That's okay.
- 5:14SPEAKER_03: You have other drinks other than coffee there.
- 5:15SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 5:16SPEAKER_06: Right.
- 5:16SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 5:17SPEAKER_06: And so you said you wanted to try the scarecrow, but don't like coffee.
- 5:20SPEAKER_06: So we made that into our frozen cream, which is basically like a milkshake.
- 5:24SPEAKER_03: It's a naked scarecrow.
- 5:25SPEAKER_03: Right?
- 5:26SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 5:27SPEAKER_03: This is my it'll really scarecrows away.
- 5:29SPEAKER_03: Uh-huh.
- 5:29SPEAKER_03: This is my mock coffee, not a mock tail too.
- 5:31SPEAKER_05: It's his virgin scarecrow, right?
- 5:33SPEAKER_03: Sure.
- 5:34SPEAKER_03: We'll take it there.
- 5:36SPEAKER_03: We'll take it there, right?
- 5:36SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's it's good.
- 5:37SPEAKER_05: I bet he's gonna love that.
- 5:39unknown: Oh my god.
- 5:41SPEAKER_05: I can tell it's authentic, guys.
- 5:42unknown: Oh my god.
- 5:43SPEAKER_05: You know who's gonna be.
- 5:44SPEAKER_05: Look, you know who I can see.
- 5:46SPEAKER_05: You and Josh are gonna be.
- 5:47SPEAKER_03: Someone take someone take the mic, take over.
- 5:49SPEAKER_03: I'm gonna go in the corner and drink the rest of this.
- 5:51SPEAKER_05: I guarantee him and Josh are gonna be driving through the drive-thru because you guys like to go to lunch and then get a little treat.
- 5:57SPEAKER_04: It's good stuff, yeah.
- 5:58SPEAKER_04: How would you even order that again?
- 6:00SPEAKER_03: Yes, how do I order a naked scarecrow?
- 6:02SPEAKER_07: That should be a thing.
- 6:04SPEAKER_03: If I come up to the Carlinville sips and say, I need a naked scarecrow, are they gonna look at me like you perv?
- 6:09SPEAKER_03: Get out of here.
- 6:09SPEAKER_06: Yeah, right?
- 6:10SPEAKER_06: Yeah, yeah.
- 6:11SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 6:12SPEAKER_06: Best to just order as uh frozen cream with the flavors a scarecrow latte would get.
- 6:17SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 6:18SPEAKER_05: So I feel like too, you know, you guys obviously you you met the needs of our wonderful host, Chris Hartsock.
- 6:25SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 6:25SPEAKER_05: I'm like you're meeting the needs of kids, like we talked about before.
- 6:28SPEAKER_05: Like a lot of little kids, obviously you don't want to give them coffee.
- 6:31SPEAKER_03: Why not?
- 6:32SPEAKER_03: Oh, well, this will do the same thing to me.
- 6:37SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 6:38SPEAKER_03: I'm telling you, this sugar will go.
- 6:40SPEAKER_05: You also have your lotus drinks, yep.
- 6:42SPEAKER_05: Plant-based energy, yep, teas.
- 6:44SPEAKER_05: Am I missing something?
- 6:45SPEAKER_04: Just I mean, just normal black coffee.
- 6:47SPEAKER_04: That's what I got.
- 6:48SPEAKER_06: Yeah, me drinks with Americana.
- 6:49SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 6:50SPEAKER_03: Americana.
- 6:51SPEAKER_03: Just go.
- 6:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 6:52SPEAKER_03: So what other flavors are in the fall menu?
- 6:54SPEAKER_06: Lots of pumpkin, lots of pumpkin, um spiced lattes.
- 6:59SPEAKER_03: Is that what it is?
- 7:00SPEAKER_06: Yeah, yes.
- 7:01SPEAKER_06: Apple, red apple, green apple.
- 7:03SPEAKER_03: Ooh, a green apple latte.
- 7:05SPEAKER_06: And lots of cinnamon.
- 7:06SPEAKER_06: A lot of the drinks have like brown sugar cinnamon in them, or I have the cinnamon roll latte.
- 7:10SPEAKER_03: Does this have any cinnamon in it?
- 7:12SPEAKER_06: No, not that one.
- 7:12SPEAKER_03: Just the brown sugar.
- 7:13SPEAKER_05: Ooh, the cinnamon roll latte sounds good.
- 7:15SPEAKER_05: I've been seeing a lot of people post it about that green apple drink.
- 7:20SPEAKER_05: So that is green.
- 7:21SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 7:22SPEAKER_05: No way.
- 7:22SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 7:23SPEAKER_03: No, no, I was just checking to see.
- 7:25SPEAKER_03: I mean, I'm a naked scarecrow that's not yellow, which straw would be yellow, right?
- 7:29SPEAKER_03: That's not yellow.
- 7:30SPEAKER_04: That one is green.
- 7:31SPEAKER_04: Yeah, hers looks like it's like fall.
- 7:33SPEAKER_05: It is fall.
- 7:34SPEAKER_05: And and again, we we've said this before.
- 7:36SPEAKER_05: Ryan said it last time.
- 7:37SPEAKER_05: It's your biggest fall menu.
- 7:38SPEAKER_05: Everybody's so pumped.
- 7:40SPEAKER_05: And I think that that's good because you've really had quite the following.
- 7:44SPEAKER_05: I mean, I'm I'm not kidding, guys.
- 7:46SPEAKER_05: I just opened my Facebook and and what did I open it to?
- 7:49SPEAKER_05: Somebody Kennan from UCB.
- 7:53SPEAKER_05: It's great to find Sips Coffee Co.
- 7:55SPEAKER_05: It's great to finally have you in Gillespie.
- 7:57SPEAKER_05: Kinnan won't care.
- 7:58SPEAKER_05: He's the best.
- 7:58SPEAKER_05: Like, but I you know what I'm saying?
- 8:00SPEAKER_05: So you have a following.
- 8:02SPEAKER_05: The coffee obviously tastes so good.
- 8:03SPEAKER_03: Even if you don't like my coffee tastes wonderful.
- 8:06SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 8:06SPEAKER_05: So I mean, guys, virgin or a ridge.
- 8:10SPEAKER_03: It's naked.
- 8:10SPEAKER_03: I like naked scarecrows.
- 8:11SPEAKER_03: Not virgin.
- 8:12SPEAKER_03: Come on.
- 8:12SPEAKER_03: Either way.
- 8:14SPEAKER_03: It's a naked scarecrow, right?
- 8:16SPEAKER_03: Because kids understand naked scarecrows.
- 8:18SPEAKER_03: They don't understand virgin scarecrows.
- 8:20SPEAKER_03: Let's get real.
- 8:20SPEAKER_05: You know what?
- 8:21SPEAKER_05: You're right.
- 8:21SPEAKER_03: Let's.
- 8:22SPEAKER_03: I'm trying to keep it PG 13.
- 8:23SPEAKER_05: Thank you.
- 8:24SPEAKER_05: Thank you, Chris.
- 8:24SPEAKER_05: And the cold foam, like that, that when I was there at Gillespie before, Macy was just going on.
- 8:30SPEAKER_05: She she was like, that is like you guys like everybody loves that.
- 8:33SPEAKER_05: Why?
- 8:34SPEAKER_05: What is it?
- 8:34SPEAKER_05: Like, really?
- 8:35SPEAKER_06: The cold foam?
- 8:35SPEAKER_06: I don't know.
- 8:36SPEAKER_06: So it's like the new and improved whipped cream.
- 8:38SPEAKER_06: So everyone used to do whipped cream on their drinks, but instead of the case.
- 8:42SPEAKER_03: This is because you can always taste the whipped cream when you get to it.
- 8:44SPEAKER_03: You know what I mean?
- 8:45SPEAKER_03: It just was like didn't blend well.
- 8:47SPEAKER_03: Not your, I'm just saying at other places.
- 8:49SPEAKER_07: In general, it's just like oh, there's the whipped cream.
- 8:52SPEAKER_04: You know, I do want to mention she uses prairie farms in all of her stuff.
- 8:55SPEAKER_04: She really farms shout out to PF.
- 8:57SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that's that's um, yeah, locally made.
- 9:00SPEAKER_04: You know, even the cow's milk is local.
- 9:02SPEAKER_04: Um Stark is 100% local.
- 9:05SPEAKER_04: So yeah, that that's another thing I would add maybe to the quality of the ingredients.
- 9:09SPEAKER_04: It's just uh, you know, I bring it up because the whipped cream is also prairie farms and it's delicious, but uh yeah, the cold foam, it just yeah, it's a little bit different.
- 9:16SPEAKER_05: I'm glad you brought that up because there is a huge difference, you guys.
- 9:19SPEAKER_05: I mean, when I go down to Florida and I get my milk down there, it's no PS and it's not the same.
- 9:24SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it's true, it's true.
- 9:25SPEAKER_04: Yeah, pray farms is uh good stuff.
- 9:27SPEAKER_04: Um, yeah, and that's something a lot of people when she launched, they were talking about how you know it's more expensive, it's more this, it's more that.
- 9:35SPEAKER_04: And uh at this point, she doesn't even really focus on the cost, it doesn't even matter.
- 9:38SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 9:39SPEAKER_04: Um, and frankly, it's not more expensive, um, you know, because they they're actually even giving her a bigger discount because she's buying so much now, right?
- 9:45SPEAKER_06: And the best part, they deliver it right to our door and put it in our fridge for us.
- 9:49SPEAKER_06: So they take care of us.
- 9:50SPEAKER_05: Do you want me to cry?
- 9:51SPEAKER_05: That is precious.
- 9:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah, well, at our market grocery store, we're we're gonna exclusively push the product.
- 9:56SPEAKER_03: I figured we'd do that too.
- 9:58SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we're working with them to do that as well.
- 10:00SPEAKER_03: But they're like, hey, we'll offer digital coupons on the spot for people to buy the prairie farmers product.
- 10:05SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 10:05SPEAKER_04: I mean, just to make it we're supporting local labor, local jobs, and you know, yeah, it's it's very important.
- 10:10SPEAKER_03: Local economy, the farm, everything.
- 10:12SPEAKER_03: And that's what it's all about, right?
- 10:14SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 10:14SPEAKER_03: Ecosystem.
- 10:15SPEAKER_03: Well, hey, the drinks are incredible.
- 10:17SPEAKER_05: Let me drinks are incredible.
- 10:19SPEAKER_05: I was looking forward to it.
- 10:19SPEAKER_03: Let's get in some business updates, right?
- 10:21SPEAKER_03: Because you guys have had a massive few weeks, right?
- 10:24SPEAKER_03: Lindy's like, oh, tell me about it.
- 10:25SPEAKER_06: Yeah, not not much sleep.
- 10:28SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 10:29SPEAKER_05: And you look that beautiful.
- 10:30SPEAKER_06: No, I was like, I actually asked, right, I was like, can we ask him not to be on camera this time?
- 10:35SPEAKER_06: He's like, No, we can't do that.
- 10:36SPEAKER_03: It's all good.
- 10:37SPEAKER_06: You've got a lot of sleep.
- 10:39SPEAKER_03: There'll be no filters, none of that.
- 10:40SPEAKER_03: You'll be fine, trust me.
- 10:41SPEAKER_03: So SIPS number three in Gillespie officially opened a little over a week ago, right?
- 10:47SPEAKER_03: So on September 1st, talk to us about that first week.
- 10:50SPEAKER_06: Oh, it was amazing.
- 10:52SPEAKER_06: Yeah, the community really showed up.
- 10:53SPEAKER_06: Everyone was so friendly, and our team that we hired, he hired a brand new team.
- 10:58SPEAKER_06: So they're all fresh to sips.
- 11:01SPEAKER_06: We did um a couple days of training before we opened, and they are killing it.
- 11:05SPEAKER_06: So we've gotten nothing but good reviews so far.
- 11:07SPEAKER_05: So those girls in there, I'm telling you, not not one of them had anything wrong with their personality.
- 11:14SPEAKER_05: And I'm serious, and usually I'm very good at at intuit, yeah, intuition at that kind of stuff.
- 11:20SPEAKER_05: But I'm telling you, they were so happy, sweet, and you can tell you provide that environment for them, you know.
- 11:26SPEAKER_05: And I gotta say, they're all so cute.
- 11:28SPEAKER_05: I feel like they're birthday.
- 11:29SPEAKER_05: Oh, like they're they're stylish, they're pretty, they have cool names, you know?
- 11:33SPEAKER_05: Love them.
- 11:34SPEAKER_03: Cool names.
- 11:34SPEAKER_03: Want to give a shout out to them?
- 11:36SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 11:36SPEAKER_06: Um, oh, look, let's see if I can remember.
- 11:38SPEAKER_06: Yeah, there's a whole list of them.
- 11:40SPEAKER_06: I think there's almost six.
- 11:41SPEAKER_06: There's about ten of them.
- 11:42SPEAKER_06: I was gonna say I thought there was 12.
- 11:45SPEAKER_06: Yeah, 10 or 11 or 12.
- 11:46SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I love it.
- 11:48SPEAKER_05: She just texted me last night.
- 11:49SPEAKER_05: They'll be so excited to get this shout out.
- 11:51SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 11:52SPEAKER_05: Because a lot of them are young.
- 11:53SPEAKER_05: Uh-huh.
- 11:54SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 11:54SPEAKER_03: All right, shout-outs.
- 11:55SPEAKER_05: I let the boss shout out to the girls.
- 11:57SPEAKER_03: Number three, Gillis being your number three in the ranking, but they're out there.
- 12:01SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 12:02SPEAKER_06: So number one is gonna be our store manager.
- 12:04SPEAKER_06: So we've never had a store manager before.
- 12:06SPEAKER_06: So she's super excited to take on the role, and she's already doing super great.
- 12:10SPEAKER_06: That's Macy Jackson.
- 12:11SPEAKER_07: Okay.
- 12:12SPEAKER_06: And then um, I was gonna go through the list.
- 12:14SPEAKER_06: We've got Ava, Chloe, Sarah, Caroline, Amari, Bethany, Kenny, Abby, and Jillian.
- 12:21SPEAKER_06: Gillian, I trained in Gillespie, but she's been working in Carlonville, actually.
- 12:25SPEAKER_06: Right.
- 12:26SPEAKER_05: She's from here, right?
- 12:27SPEAKER_05: Yeah, and she you boy, you just get and I know uh that Caroline.
- 12:31SPEAKER_05: I know her family.
- 12:32SPEAKER_05: I'm pretty sure it it wasn't the mom, the teacher, the teacher.
- 12:35SPEAKER_05: I don't, I'm not sure.
- 12:36SPEAKER_05: I'm pretty sure.
- 12:37SPEAKER_05: But anyway, great.
- 12:38SPEAKER_05: So proud of them.
- 12:39SPEAKER_05: Mm-hmm.
- 12:39SPEAKER_05: And they're busy.
- 12:40SPEAKER_05: It's not like they're just sitting there like this.
- 12:42SPEAKER_05: Mm-hmm.
- 12:43SPEAKER_06: Yeah, no, they've been like slammed the whole week, but they they worked well under pressure.
- 12:48SPEAKER_06: They made it happen.
- 12:49SPEAKER_06: So I was super proud of them.
- 12:50unknown: Oh, I love to hear them.
- 12:52SPEAKER_03: And that's awesome.
- 12:53SPEAKER_03: So looking at the footage from that soft opening you guys had, you know, I know Caitlin was down there and he had some other stuff going on.
- 12:58SPEAKER_03: The space is so bright and modern and perfectly trendy.
- 13:02SPEAKER_03: And that's that's what's key about it, right?
- 13:04SPEAKER_03: You know, and so you give that shout out to the crew.
- 13:07SPEAKER_03: I love that.
- 13:08SPEAKER_03: I gotta get down there and get a yeah, you gotta let them know at all three locations.
- 13:12SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 13:12SPEAKER_05: When Chris comes to town.
- 13:14SPEAKER_03: When the big dog comes in, he wants a naked scarecrow.
- 13:17SPEAKER_03: It's a little naked.
- 13:18SPEAKER_03: Let's just call this the big dog.
- 13:19SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 13:19SPEAKER_03: Oh my god, actually, that's cute.
- 13:21SPEAKER_06: The big dog.
- 13:22SPEAKER_03: Yeah, the naked scarecrow.
- 13:23SPEAKER_06: Uh-huh.
- 13:24SPEAKER_06: We just made a new drink.
- 13:25SPEAKER_06: That's right.
- 13:26SPEAKER_03: I love it.
- 13:26SPEAKER_03: I love it.
- 13:27SPEAKER_03: Well, hey, it's incredible to watch the success of that third branch open it up.
- 13:32SPEAKER_03: Ryan, to keep the momentum going, give us a quick update on the permanent Carlomille location.
- 13:37SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so we were just out there earlier.
- 13:39SPEAKER_04: Pastor Raymond, which he's the pastor at Cross Church.
- 13:41SPEAKER_04: We were looking at it together briefly.
- 13:43SPEAKER_04: And um, we were talking about like, I was uh, I said, man, it's a mess.
- 13:47SPEAKER_04: And he said, Well, that's a good thing it's a mess because that means progress is happening.
- 13:50SPEAKER_03: That's right.
- 13:51SPEAKER_03: Got to break a few eggs, make cake.
- 13:53SPEAKER_04: Yeah, they were they were looking.
- 13:54SPEAKER_04: Uh the concrete people there, I would say by Friday, keeping it simple, by Friday, you should see pretty much flat work's gonna be done.
- 14:01SPEAKER_04: Okay, don't wanna I haven't got permission, so I won't shout out who's doing the work, but I do want to stress they're all local people, uh Carlinville people are most of them, and then everybody else is in the cleria.
- 14:11SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so yeah, they're doing a great job.
- 14:13SPEAKER_04: Um, the plumber was I think was up there at like 10 o'clock the other night getting it, getting it ready.
- 14:18SPEAKER_04: Um, like, what's what's he doing, man?
- 14:20SPEAKER_04: I think they were digging up the rocks and and getting it ready for the rough end plumbing.
- 14:23SPEAKER_03: So yeah, it's awesome.
- 14:25SPEAKER_03: No, that's great.
- 14:26SPEAKER_03: So the temporary location out there still open.
- 14:29SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah.
- 14:30SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah.
- 14:30SPEAKER_03: We got your guys' drinks from just we want we just want everybody listen.
- 14:34SPEAKER_05: We'd be wearing it.
- 14:38SPEAKER_03: No shutdowns, nothing like that.
- 14:40SPEAKER_03: Nope.
- 14:40SPEAKER_03: Come out and get your sips, a naked big dog scarecrow.
- 14:44SPEAKER_04: There has been a lot of people ask about the trailer.
- 14:46SPEAKER_04: What are you gonna do with the trailer?
- 14:47SPEAKER_04: Yeah, because it's so cute.
- 14:48SPEAKER_04: Yeah, we're gonna do the trailer.
- 14:49SPEAKER_06: Well, we don't really know yet, but I think maybe sell it.
- 14:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you can sell that easy.
- 14:54SPEAKER_03: Yeah, sips on the road.
- 14:55SPEAKER_06: Well, well, maybe we have talked about that actually.
- 14:58SPEAKER_06: Like taking it to fairs and stuff.
- 15:01SPEAKER_05: Oh, the fairs, yeah.
- 15:02SPEAKER_05: I never thought of that.
- 15:03SPEAKER_05: You'd make a killing.
- 15:05SPEAKER_05: Yeah, all the people you'd be.
- 15:07SPEAKER_04: The problem is, is um, it is a lot of work though.
- 15:09SPEAKER_04: So we'll see, and we're not afraid of work, obviously, but massive action or no action at all, man.
- 15:14SPEAKER_04: But yeah, you guys sometimes we're out there till 11 or midnight, and we need to get up at 4 30 a.m.
- 15:19SPEAKER_04: the next day.
- 15:20SPEAKER_04: So four and a half hours sleep.
- 15:21SPEAKER_03: That's about my regular night.
- 15:23SPEAKER_03: Seriously, yeah.
- 15:24SPEAKER_03: I'm still rocking and rolling.
- 15:25SPEAKER_03: We go.
- 15:26SPEAKER_05: How did we survive, really?
- 15:27SPEAKER_05: Is what I wonder.
- 15:28SPEAKER_04: There's been a lot of people ask about the trailer though.
- 15:29SPEAKER_04: So we'll we'll we'll see what happens.
- 15:32SPEAKER_04: We don't we're not exactly sure.
- 15:34SPEAKER_04: So let's see.
- 15:35SPEAKER_03: Well, we'll keep our eyes on that, right?
- 15:37SPEAKER_03: But and obviously, we can't forget about where it all started, right?
- 15:41SPEAKER_03: Give us a quick check-in on the original location of Verdon.
- 15:44SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 15:44SPEAKER_06: So that's where I was just working this morning, and I was filling in for one of my employees that was sick today.
- 15:49SPEAKER_06: So um, but it's still going great.
- 15:52SPEAKER_06: Um, we we have so many regulars that come there.
- 15:54SPEAKER_06: We know their drinks.
- 15:55SPEAKER_06: We'll have the drinks made before they even get to the drive-thru window.
- 15:58SPEAKER_06: So it was a good uh refresher to get in there for this week or today um to see all those regulars again.
- 16:05SPEAKER_06: Yeah, you're like funny seeing you there.
- 16:07SPEAKER_06: And I was like, yeah, it's hard though to now I have the three locations.
- 16:12SPEAKER_06: It is hard.
- 16:12SPEAKER_06: I'm gonna have to split up my time between all the locations.
- 16:15SPEAKER_06: Right.
- 16:16SPEAKER_06: But I'm gonna try to you know check in on all of them multiple times a week.
- 16:19SPEAKER_06: That's kind of my plan with that.
- 16:21SPEAKER_04: Something to mention too is there's um in um honor of 9-11, there's a bit which is gonna be this week.
- 16:27SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 16:27SPEAKER_04: Um, there's gonna be a flagpole going up there.
- 16:29SPEAKER_04: Uh Cody Smith and Ryan Lytle, which uh she does have partners on the Verdon location, are gonna be putting that up this week.
- 16:34SPEAKER_04: So pretty excited about that.
- 16:36SPEAKER_04: Something that people have noticed is we have a flag in Carnival, have a flag in Gillespie, uh, because it was the old police station.
- 16:41SPEAKER_04: They have a really nice flagpole.
- 16:42SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah, they do.
- 16:43SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah.
- 16:44SPEAKER_05: I mean, they have to, yeah.
- 16:45SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 16:45SPEAKER_04: So the the the Verdon will be going up hopefully in the next couple days here and uh maybe get a good picture of that.
- 16:51SPEAKER_05: So well, I love that that you are putting that up, but in your defense, I mean, I if anybody was complaining, which I don't think they will, I mean, that was hard to put a flag right there because it's on the concrete.
- 17:01SPEAKER_05: You know what I'm saying?
- 17:02SPEAKER_05: Like you're in Gillespie, you already had the grass right there, your trailer, you just have one off the thing.
- 17:07SPEAKER_05: Yeah, but that's perfect.
- 17:09SPEAKER_05: I love how you put the country, you guys have always been patriots.
- 17:12SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 17:13SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that's something that um I've very proud of America.
- 17:17SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 17:17SPEAKER_04: Um, you know, and and again, you know, 9-11 is is definitely not a uh holiday that we celebrate in remembrance, but it is something that is important in society and and um it's kind of like Pearl Harbor in a way.
- 17:29SPEAKER_05: It's important to our history, yeah.
- 17:31SPEAKER_04: So there's something we don't know that yeah, we're gonna we're gonna do hopefully.
- 17:35SPEAKER_04: And like I said, it's you know.
- 17:36SPEAKER_05: Well, I'm glad you said that.
- 17:37SPEAKER_05: I'm glad you said that on here.
- 17:38SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 17:38SPEAKER_03: Well, that brings us perfectly to the core of this podcast.
- 17:41SPEAKER_03: That's the community.
- 17:42SPEAKER_03: Yeah, absolutely.
- 17:42SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 17:43SPEAKER_03: And you guys are involved in so much across all these towns.
- 17:46SPEAKER_03: What upcoming community events, fundraisers, or sponsorships should people be looking out for?
- 17:52SPEAKER_06: Well, something that's gonna happen this week.
- 17:53SPEAKER_06: Um, we've got the Lions Carnival coming up this weekend.
- 17:56SPEAKER_06: Yep.
- 17:57SPEAKER_06: So we did sponsor a little wagon for the Lions Carnival.
- 18:01SPEAKER_04: And then she's gonna talk her into writing in it.
- 18:03SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 18:04SPEAKER_05: I think she should, because first of all, you you have one, if it's your first wagon.
- 18:08SPEAKER_05: All right, is it?
- 18:09SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 18:09SPEAKER_05: Okay, so you have to get if you go back, all business owners around town, they have their pictures in it every year.
- 18:15SPEAKER_05: And then when you guys or if in the future you have kids, like it it's cute and you like put them all together and you sit in the sips one.
- 18:21SPEAKER_05: But you and Macy or somebody else who was at the beginning and Ryan.
- 18:25SPEAKER_05: Yeah, talk to me.
- 18:26SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
- 18:27SPEAKER_05: I'll come take it because you know I'll be there all weekend.
- 18:30SPEAKER_05: Here, I might need this with me all weekend with all the kids.
- 18:34SPEAKER_03: Oh, you'll be fine.
- 18:35SPEAKER_03: You'll be fine, trust me.
- 18:36SPEAKER_03: You'll be fine.
- 18:37SPEAKER_06: So I love that you're doing that.
- 18:38SPEAKER_06: Uh-huh.
- 18:38SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 18:39SPEAKER_06: And we're gonna have some fun drinks to go along with the Lions Carnival.
- 18:43SPEAKER_06: Oh, I bet you win.
- 18:44SPEAKER_06: Yes, we always have to do that, of course.
- 18:46SPEAKER_06: Can you send it?
- 18:48SPEAKER_06: Or Well, I well, I don't have them like solidified yet.
- 18:52SPEAKER_06: Yes, not yet.
- 18:52SPEAKER_05: Um, but I think we're gonna do it.
- 18:55SPEAKER_05: Last year there was a purple train something, wasn't there?
- 18:58SPEAKER_05: Didn't you have something like a purple train drink or something?
- 19:01SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
- 19:01SPEAKER_06: That's what I was thinking.
- 19:02SPEAKER_06: Purple train or like something with the cakewalk.
- 19:04SPEAKER_06: I know that's super popular.
- 19:06SPEAKER_06: We can make that easy into a latte.
- 19:08SPEAKER_06: Totally so birthday cake latte.
- 19:11SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah.
- 19:12SPEAKER_05: Lion's cake latte.
- 19:13SPEAKER_04: Yeah, Gillispys homecoming is next weekend too.
- 19:16SPEAKER_04: So I think they're gonna be decorating the outside of the shop.
- 19:19SPEAKER_04: And um they're gonna be doing some special drinks for that too.
- 19:21SPEAKER_06: Yes.
- 19:22SPEAKER_06: Well, I love that.
- 19:24SPEAKER_04: And then besides that, a great Gracie foundation, you guys are gonna be doing something for in October.
- 19:29SPEAKER_04: Might be doing a turkey drive.
- 19:31SPEAKER_04: Last year we did a turkey drive.
- 19:32SPEAKER_04: I'm not sure exactly yet.
- 19:34SPEAKER_04: Yeah, maybe for for Thanksgiving.
- 19:36SPEAKER_04: Man, there's all kinds of I didn't know turkeys couldn't fly.
- 19:39SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 19:40SPEAKER_04: Turkey drop.
- 19:41SPEAKER_04: Sorry.
- 19:43SPEAKER_04: Yeah, we're we got all kinds of things planned.
- 19:45SPEAKER_06: Oh, yeah.
- 19:46SPEAKER_06: Brave Days too in October.
- 19:47SPEAKER_06: Oh, yeah.
- 19:48SPEAKER_06: That's a huge one for us.
- 19:49SPEAKER_03: We'll definitely be giving more highlights as those get closer as we're doing our our segments.
- 19:53SPEAKER_03: But it's good to drop these things.
- 19:55SPEAKER_06: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 19:55SPEAKER_03: So people can be like, put it on your calendar.
- 19:58SPEAKER_04: This week we're kind of taking a break.
- 19:59SPEAKER_04: Last week, uh last week, uh, we were she was busy with that, uh, the launch of Gillispe, and then this this week, hey, we get we need we need seven days to to calm down a little bit, and then we're back at it.
- 20:11SPEAKER_05: Well, you deserve it.
- 20:12SPEAKER_05: Everyone does.
- 20:13SPEAKER_03: Well, we're we're still working.
- 20:14SPEAKER_05: Well, I know, but you're not you're not like all right.
- 20:17SPEAKER_03: Between running multiple SIPs locations, Ryan running your state farm agency in Litchfield, and you guys just getting married in July after being together for years, you've got a lot on your plate.
- 20:27SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 20:28SPEAKER_03: That's obvious, right?
- 20:29SPEAKER_03: From today's episode.
- 20:29SPEAKER_03: Since we got both of you in the studio, we're putting your dynamic charisma to the ultimate test.
- 20:34SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 20:35SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 20:36SPEAKER_03: I was so excited for this.
- 20:37SPEAKER_03: I can't even stand up.
- 20:38SPEAKER_03: I've got eight rapid fire questions for game recalling sips and spills.
- 20:42SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 20:43SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 20:43SPEAKER_03: So, Caitlin, you want to explain the rules?
- 20:45SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 20:46SPEAKER_05: So basically, Chris is going to ask the question, okay, and then he's going to say three, two, one.
- 20:51SPEAKER_05: You got to close your eyes.
- 20:53SPEAKER_03: It's a close.
- 20:54SPEAKER_03: Close your eyes.
- 20:55SPEAKER_03: Right, okay.
- 20:55SPEAKER_05: Because I don't want you guys to like try to get it right.
- 20:57SPEAKER_05: You know what I'm saying?
- 20:58SPEAKER_05: So you have to point to the person who best is the answer to the question.
- 21:02SPEAKER_05: Gotcha.
- 21:03SPEAKER_05: Okay, what I'm saying?
- 21:04SPEAKER_05: And then Chris will tell you to open the eyes.
- 21:06SPEAKER_05: I'm going to narrate this for our listeners to see.
- 21:10SPEAKER_05: But I think you guys are going to love this.
- 21:12SPEAKER_05: I'm so excited.
- 21:13SPEAKER_03: All right, all right, all right.
- 21:14SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 21:14SPEAKER_03: So close your eyes.
- 21:15SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 21:15SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 21:16SPEAKER_03: They're closed.
- 21:17SPEAKER_03: All right.
- 21:17SPEAKER_03: You guys own a coffee shop, so this is a given.
- 21:20SPEAKER_03: On the count of three, point to who is most likely to drink five cups of coffee before noon.
- 21:25SPEAKER_03: One, two, three, point.
- 21:26SPEAKER_07: Instant.
- 21:27SPEAKER_07: Instant to Ryan.
- 21:28SPEAKER_07: That's right.
- 21:29SPEAKER_03: Lindy was like, her finger is up before I finished the question.
- 21:33SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 21:33SPEAKER_04: He's drinking his Americanos, isn't he?
- 21:35SPEAKER_04: All right.
- 21:35SPEAKER_03: What number is this one?
- 21:36SPEAKER_04: That's probably only two today.
- 21:38SPEAKER_04: And so it's blacker.
- 21:40SPEAKER_04: I mean, so I'm not a I drink black coffee.
- 21:43SPEAKER_04: So every morning, um, Diana, which is our she's our service manager in Lichfield.
- 21:48SPEAKER_04: She loves black coffee too.
- 21:49SPEAKER_04: Um, she makes a pot.
- 21:50SPEAKER_04: So like I'll drink that.
- 21:52SPEAKER_04: If I do have time, I'll stop by sips in the morning.
- 21:54SPEAKER_04: You can't stop by every day, but uh yeah.
- 21:56SPEAKER_04: So my point is five is probably a stretch, guys.
- 21:59SPEAKER_04: Probably.
- 22:00SPEAKER_04: More like three.
- 22:01SPEAKER_06: No, you have to remember your black coffee has less caffeine than your Americanos that you can because that has espresso.
- 22:07SPEAKER_06: That's right.
- 22:08SPEAKER_05: See, let me write it.
- 22:09SPEAKER_04: I really like this is I don't drink as much throughout the day out of the pot if I do drink this because it takes me a little bit longer.
- 22:16SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 22:16SPEAKER_04: But hey, read, which my brother, he's a nurse.
- 22:19SPEAKER_04: He said there's a study came out.
- 22:21SPEAKER_04: It says you either need to drink one a day or drink five.
- 22:24SPEAKER_04: There's no drink at two or three.
- 22:26SPEAKER_04: So five a day.
- 22:27SPEAKER_05: And he's a great nurse.
- 22:28SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 22:28SPEAKER_05: So I believe it.
- 22:30SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 22:30SPEAKER_03: All right.
- 22:30SPEAKER_03: Closing back up.
- 22:31SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 22:32SPEAKER_03: With crazy schedules between the coffee shops and state farm.
- 22:35SPEAKER_03: Who is more likely to be tapping their foot and rushing the other one out the door when you're trying to leave the house?
- 22:41SPEAKER_03: Oh, they got it.
- 22:41SPEAKER_06: Yeah, that's hard.
- 22:43SPEAKER_06: We have Ros.
- 22:44SPEAKER_06: Instant.
- 22:45SPEAKER_03: Let's go.
- 22:45SPEAKER_03: Let's go.
- 22:46SPEAKER_03: All right, open your eyes.
- 22:48SPEAKER_06: They're pointing to each other.
- 22:49SPEAKER_06: It's kind of like that.
- 22:50SPEAKER_04: She rushes me out the house.
- 22:52SPEAKER_04: She's on the house.
- 22:52SPEAKER_03: Oh, so it is you, Linda.
- 22:54SPEAKER_06: He keeps me going.
- 22:55SPEAKER_06: So if I'm like, man, I'm done for the day and I just want to like take a nap.
- 22:58SPEAKER_06: He's like, this is at the end of the day.
- 23:00SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 23:00SPEAKER_03: This would be bad.
- 23:01SPEAKER_03: All right, here we go.
- 23:01SPEAKER_03: I just perfectly close your eyes.
- 23:03SPEAKER_03: This is a fall right in the next question, right?
- 23:04SPEAKER_03: All right.
- 23:05SPEAKER_03: Let's talk about stubbornness.
- 23:06SPEAKER_03: On the count of three, point to who is more stubborn one in the relationship.
- 23:10SPEAKER_06: That was instant to Ryan.
- 23:12SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 23:12SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 23:13SPEAKER_06: But again, I am stubborn too.
- 23:15SPEAKER_06: So I was going to say, I would have thought maybe.
- 23:18SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 23:18SPEAKER_06: I'm probably pleased more though.
- 23:20SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
- 23:20SPEAKER_06: It's all right.
- 23:20SPEAKER_03: It's all right.
- 23:21SPEAKER_03: It it happens.

- 23:46SPEAKER_03: All right, question five.
- 23:46SPEAKER_03: Eyes closed on the count of three.

- 24:29SPEAKER_03: That's awesome.
- 24:30SPEAKER_03: All right.

- 24:37SPEAKER_06: I always go to him with like crisis that I find.
- 24:41SPEAKER_06: And he's like, that's how we're dealing with it.
- 24:42SPEAKER_06: This is what we're doing.
- 24:43SPEAKER_06: So I love it.
- 24:44SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 24:44SPEAKER_03: I love it that you guys can talk that out and work through it.

- 25:11SPEAKER_05: I'm like, I'm like that too.
- 25:14SPEAKER_05: And it's bad.
- 25:15SPEAKER_05: Sometimes I think because I try to do it, you try to get it all done so then I have time at the end of the night, but then I still keep working.
- 25:22SPEAKER_05: But that's why you two are 10X partners.
- 25:24SPEAKER_05: That's right.
- 25:25SPEAKER_03: So last question.
- 25:26SPEAKER_03: Last question.

- 25:44SPEAKER_06: Oh I would say, I don't know.
- 25:49SPEAKER_06: I feel like I'm the one that's instigated all of the locations, but Yeah, well, she came up with Bird.

- 26:14SPEAKER_03: Just yes, yes, dear.
- 26:15SPEAKER_05: In a good way, that means you both are equally invested in the future of sips.
- 26:22SPEAKER_05: That's definitely so cute.
- 26:25SPEAKER_05: But Ryan, remember that.
- 26:27SPEAKER_04: That's the stubbornness, though.
- 26:28SPEAKER_04: Like, I'd be like, probably both of us.
- 26:30SPEAKER_04: It is both.
- 26:31SPEAKER_04: But you're able to know.
- 26:32SPEAKER_04: She'd find the building and stuff.
- 26:34SPEAKER_04: What I would help with is like, she would ask me, let's talk about this real quick from a spousal standpoint.
- 26:40SPEAKER_04: I think she would probably be like, Do you think this is a good idea?
- 26:43SPEAKER_04: But she would probably come up with the idea and then I would approach it and handle the details.
- 26:47SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 26:47SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 26:48SPEAKER_03: Work out the details.
- 26:49SPEAKER_03: I like that.
