- 4:52Speaker 4: Well done? Already.
- 4:53Speaker 7: Welcome back to the Sun of a Boy that podcast.
- 4:56Speaker 7: Today is February seventeenth. We are here live from h Q.
- 5:02Speaker 1: They will all be exposing our work wives.
- 5:05Speaker 10: Work wives are coming out today?
- 5:07Speaker 1: What's that you never heard of someone?
- 5:09Speaker 4: I don't always that's I've seen Drew Sky, I think,
- 5:12Speaker 4: do a sketch about that.
- 5:12Speaker 7: I've only ever seen Drewski do it.
- 5:15Speaker 1: I feel like I've seen people on social media being like,
- 5:17Speaker 1: this is my work like my work wife. When your
- 5:20Speaker 1: work husband acts up, it's actually almost always Puerto Ricans.
- 5:23Speaker 7: Oh yeah, yeah, I was gonna say the office too, Yeah,
- 5:29Speaker 7: Pam and.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Jim, but they wind up actually stooping. I think the
- 5:32Speaker 1: premise of a work husband or work wife is just
- 5:34Speaker 1: somebody that you flirt with no strings attached at your office.
- 5:38Speaker 4: M hm mm hmmm.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:41Speaker 4: I don't have any of those, No me, neither everyone
- 5:44Speaker 4: I ever flirt with at the office, I end up fucking.
- 5:49Speaker 10: I end up in long term relationships.
- 5:51Speaker 4: With that I didn't know. I didn't know. We weren't
- 5:53Speaker 4: supposed to do that.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Well, there's not really hr. HR is more an opt in,
- 5:58Speaker 1: opt out thing.
- 5:59Speaker 7: Now, there's no there's I genuinely don't think there's a
- 6:01Speaker 7: single other person in the office right now.
- 6:05Speaker 4: Joe, Oh, really their work wives? There are workwives? Yeah?
- 6:11Speaker 1: Were there work We need some work husbands for real.
- 6:14Speaker 4: There was no one to open the door for me either,
- 6:18Speaker 4: and I started knocking.
- 6:20Speaker 10: Yeah, I was knocking.
- 6:21Speaker 4: Joey's little dog came saw me and started barking, which
- 6:26Speaker 4: alerted Joey to come and.
- 6:27Speaker 10: Open the door for me.
- 6:28Speaker 4: Not for that dog, I would have had to go
- 6:31Speaker 4: through the glass.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Yeah, but secret agent style, I would have.
- 6:39Speaker 4: I would have covered my eyes and gone elbow. Tyres
- 6:43Speaker 4: in one of the Fast and Furious movies, wrapped his
- 6:45Speaker 4: hand in a shirt and did it. But I still
- 6:48Speaker 4: think that that you risk, you know, breaking some of
- 6:50Speaker 4: the smaller bones in your hand.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Or the drawback through the glass you can up your.
- 6:55Speaker 4: Well that's why. But that's why he had this. He
- 6:57Speaker 4: had a sweater covering it all true sweaters.
- 6:59Speaker 7: Will I think you could still break stuff.
- 7:02Speaker 10: I think it's more to prevent cuts.
- 7:06Speaker 4: Yeah, he just said that, that's what he said.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Well, I think it's like more like to prevent cuts.
- 7:12Speaker 4: What about cuts?
- 7:13Speaker 1: Though, Pat and Joey have been both killing me on
- 7:17Speaker 1: like tweets that get like like thirty five to like
- 7:21Speaker 1: seventy likes, and they're like the funniest things I've ever read.
- 7:24Speaker 1: They're just fucking destroying me. Joey said, this Weekend that like,
- 7:29Speaker 1: adults who are obsessed with Bravo are basically the same
- 7:32Speaker 1: level as Disney adults, which I thought was pretty spot on,
- 7:36Speaker 1: And I showed it to some people in my life
- 7:38Speaker 1: and it made them very defensive.
- 7:40Speaker 4: Oh I bet, why aren't you super into Bravo?
- 7:43Speaker 1: I know, he read the fuck out it.
- 7:44Speaker 10: Yeah it was.
- 7:45Speaker 1: It was great. I mean I thought it was a
- 7:46Speaker 1: great roast. But then you show that to other people
- 7:49Speaker 1: who really are obsessed with Bravo and they're like, no,
- 7:51Speaker 1: we're not. It's completely different from Disney adults.
- 7:54Speaker 7: It must be nice to be obsessed with just channel though, right,
- 7:57Speaker 7: because then you just throw the channel on and it's like, well,
- 8:02Speaker 7: anything is going to be good, right, Like that'd be nice.
- 8:07Speaker 4: Well that was true. It's kids with Nicole, you know channel. Yeah.
- 8:12Speaker 4: I never really was a Disney Channel kid.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Oh I was more Disney than Nicola.
- 8:16Speaker 4: It's also possible that whatever basic cable ship we had
- 8:19Speaker 4: did not have the Disney Yeah. I don't think we
- 8:21Speaker 4: got that.
- 8:23Speaker 1: That was like the one premium channel we had, which
- 8:26Speaker 1: is okay, Yeah, we had Disney Channel forty seven. Yeah,
- 8:30Speaker 1: it was sick. I guess, like, dude, it was forty
- 8:32Speaker 1: eight in the nineties with ESPN to make it their
- 8:35Speaker 1: whole person thirty five, turn on thirty five and just
- 8:38Speaker 1: watch Center five times.
- 8:39Speaker 4: I would do that. Yeah, I would watch Sports Center
- 8:42Speaker 4: and just hits on.
- 8:42Speaker 1: With the boo yeah yeah, booh yeah yeah, non ironic
- 8:48Speaker 1: boo yeah.
- 8:49Speaker 4: Was probably wop oh. Speaking of boo yah, hoorrah. I
- 8:53Speaker 4: just started watching the blackhawk Down documentary on Netflix yesterday.
- 8:57Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I saw that.
- 8:59Speaker 3: Good.
- 9:00Speaker 4: There's a documentary about it. They just put it out
- 9:01Speaker 4: on Netflix. Yeah. Well, yeah, it's Mogadishu nineteen ninety three.
- 9:07Speaker 1: I thought that was a made up place like Narnia
- 9:09Speaker 1: or Genovia.
- 9:10Speaker 10: Common misconception.
- 9:11Speaker 4: Really mo yeah, uh it's uh well. They made Black
- 9:16Speaker 4: hawk Down with Josh Hartnett many years ago, classic, which
- 9:20Speaker 4: was a good movie, long movie. Yeah, but I remembered
- 9:25Speaker 4: being good, and at least from what I can remember.
- 9:27Speaker 4: Against this documentary, it seems like it was pretty true
- 9:29Speaker 4: to form.
- 9:30Speaker 7: It's good Bower.
- 9:31Speaker 4: I've watched it recently, but all the What I don't
- 9:33Speaker 4: remember is that it was all Army Rangers mixed in
- 9:38Speaker 4: with Delta Force guys. I didn't know that either, and
- 9:40Speaker 4: the Delta Force guys, the Rangers who thought that they
- 9:44Speaker 4: were the king shed and walked around super cocky and
- 9:47Speaker 4: said we're the most elite force. They would see the
- 9:50Speaker 4: Delta Force guys and be like, oh fuck, yeah, you know,
- 9:53Speaker 4: those guys are way more bad than we are.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Like, what are the activities that were the differentiators? Like
- 9:59Speaker 1: they trained hard and did more push ups or was
- 10:01Speaker 1: it the viciousness which with they took life?
- 10:05Speaker 4: Delta Force, I think is a is a pretty secretive
- 10:08Speaker 4: force whose primary objectives are hostage rescue and basically assassination
- 10:14Speaker 4: and uh. They are selected from other special forces groups
- 10:20Speaker 4: as having been vetted to be I think the tops
- 10:23Speaker 4: of their you know, seal teams and their green berets
- 10:27Speaker 4: and things like that. And the tryout for Delta Force
- 10:32Speaker 4: you only get to do it once. You can only
- 10:33Speaker 4: try out once, and if you failure, you never get
- 10:35Speaker 4: to do with the voice. Yeah is that right?
- 10:37Speaker 10: I don't know.
- 10:40Speaker 1: It's basically the same level as strenuousness as the voice.
- 10:42Speaker 7: Yes, yes, you think you could have been a Delta Force?
- 10:46Speaker 4: No? I don't.
- 10:47Speaker 10: What about a Delta Medallion? Yeah?
- 10:50Speaker 4: Very funny, very funny.
- 10:53Speaker 7: You don't think you could have been one?
- 10:54Speaker 4: I know that I could not have because I've spoken
- 10:57Speaker 4: to someone who tried out, who who explained the actual
- 11:03Speaker 4: the final test, which was a cross country movement, as
- 11:08Speaker 4: he put it, where basically they drop you in the wilderness.
- 11:11Speaker 4: You have a compass and you have to I think,
- 11:14Speaker 4: over the course of like I don't know, thirty six
- 11:17Speaker 4: hours or something like that, you have to traverse tens
- 11:21Speaker 4: and tens and tens of miles of wilderness, yeah, and
- 11:24Speaker 4: hit checkpoints along the route, and if you miss a
- 11:28Speaker 4: single checkpoint, they alert you. You're done.
- 11:31Speaker 10: Damn.
- 11:32Speaker 4: And I don't really want to say too much more
- 11:35Speaker 4: because like I don't I really don't want to fuck
- 11:37Speaker 4: that guy over. But basically, this dude, I'll find him too, yeah,
- 11:41Speaker 4: and they'll kill him.
- 11:42Speaker 10: He was He is a.
- 11:47Speaker 4: US military born and bred. That's all he's ever gonna do.
- 11:52Speaker 4: It's all he's ever dreamt of doing, and was tapped
- 11:55Speaker 4: from a young age. Too young, I don't know. He's
- 11:58Speaker 4: like military loyalty, so.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Like like twelve.
- 12:03Speaker 4: I think he grew up knowing that, Yeah, that he would,
- 12:06Speaker 4: you know, because he he's like a king kid or
- 12:10Speaker 4: a fucking.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Yeah Kennedy or some shit like generals.
- 12:15Speaker 4: You know, like have come through the ages where their
- 12:18Speaker 4: kids carried on the name.
- 12:20Speaker 1: I try to act like I could add something to
- 12:22Speaker 1: that conversation. I don't know a shit about generals. So
- 12:26Speaker 1: there's generals who have in their family like coaching, like
- 12:29Speaker 1: Kyle Shanahan and Mike Shanahan.
- 12:32Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, but they don't I don't think. I don't
- 12:35Speaker 4: think you your kid can rise to the rank of
- 12:38Speaker 4: general if he doesn't hit the fucking marks. I think
- 12:43Speaker 4: there's a pretty strong meritocracy at stake. Maybe maybe you
- 12:46Speaker 4: get preferred admission to West Point or Annapolis or something
- 12:49Speaker 4: like that. I don't I don't really know.
- 12:51Speaker 1: So did your boy pass, No, he didn't.
- 12:55Speaker 4: He got to the final the final checkpoint, I think
- 12:58Speaker 4: I think two of the thirty past for that year
- 13:02Speaker 4: or something like that. I mean, it's insane. It's truly
- 13:07Speaker 4: the most they say. It makes the Navy Seal shit look.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Like, you know, you're in like a fucking century deprivation pool,
- 13:16Speaker 1: Lincoln Arms singing songs. It's fucking summer camp over at
- 13:19Speaker 1: Navy Seals School.
- 13:20Speaker 4: Yeah, they do. They do torture resistance, they do stuff
- 13:24Speaker 4: like that.
- 13:26Speaker 7: That sucks. It sucks to get to make it through
- 13:28Speaker 7: like thirty five hours and then find out that you
- 13:31Speaker 7: didn't get.
- 13:31Speaker 4: It, especially if it was your life's ambition to become
- 13:35Speaker 4: a member of Delta Force, and then you only get
- 13:40Speaker 4: that one crack at it, and then you have to you.
- 13:42Speaker 1: Know, what does he go back to, like accounting or
- 13:44Speaker 1: do they like pop him into Green Bereatsy.
- 13:46Speaker 4: They'll they'll put him back into whatever elite special forces
- 13:50Speaker 4: unit he came from. I'm sure it's not the end
- 13:52Speaker 4: of your military. It's not a I don't even think
- 13:54Speaker 4: it's a dark mark on your resume in the military
- 13:58Speaker 4: because it's so selective.
- 14:00Speaker 1: He probably killed the fuck out of someone, definitely, and
- 14:04Speaker 1: like revenge. She's probably so furious that the next mission
- 14:07Speaker 1: he went on, he was mowing the civilians there.
- 14:09Speaker 4: Well, that was what was interesting in this doc was
- 14:13Speaker 4: that initially they're driving through Mogadishu and seeing in crowds
- 14:18Speaker 4: of people that are firing on their humvies because they're
- 14:21Speaker 4: coming in to rescue the downed. Yeah, the Blackhawk crews
- 14:26Speaker 4: and people are shooting the hell out of their humbes
- 14:29Speaker 4: and stuff, and they're trying to be selective because these
- 14:32Speaker 4: bad guys are firing from crowds that have women and children,
- 14:37Speaker 4: and initially they are trying nut to they're holding their
- 14:40Speaker 4: fire when they see that, but they're seeing women point
- 14:43Speaker 4: out their positions and basically comply with you know, it's
- 14:46Speaker 4: all they're all against them. And then a few of
- 14:49Speaker 4: their guys get killed and they go back out and
- 14:52Speaker 4: he's the guys like at this point, I was just
- 14:54Speaker 4: he was like, I didn't give a fuck, I was
- 14:55Speaker 4: shooting everybody. They say stuff. They say stuff in this
- 15:00Speaker 4: documentary where you're like, wow, that isn't an absolute admission
- 15:03Speaker 4: to not adhering to the rules of engagement.
- 15:06Speaker 7: That's like most war documentaries, though. They one of the
- 15:09Speaker 7: dudes ends up revealing something that you're like, you probably
- 15:11Speaker 7: weren't supposed to say that.
- 15:12Speaker 4: Yeah, and he's like killed to.
- 15:13Speaker 7: Everyone eighty five Yeah, and there we rape him.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Yeah, y christ due, Oh my god.
- 15:21Speaker 7: It's like that scene in Spotlight where they go to
- 15:23Speaker 7: the priest's house and they're like, did you molest a kid?
- 15:27Speaker 7: And he's like, well, yeah, yeah. Remefter that scene where
- 15:35Speaker 7: they go to the super old priest's house kind of
- 15:37Speaker 7: and they're like, did you molest all these boys? And
- 15:39Speaker 7: he's like, well, yeah, but but it was only because
- 15:43Speaker 7: I was molested, all right.
- 15:46Speaker 4: And they're like, all right, you know, I'll be honest
- 15:48Speaker 4: with you, that wasn't really a movie that whose quotes
- 15:52Speaker 4: stuck with me.
- 15:53Speaker 7: That scene is pretty uh crazy.
- 15:56Speaker 4: It sure is how.
- 15:58Speaker 1: Runny when you put it like that, Yeah, but it
- 16:00Speaker 1: wasn't funny. I just remember a darkness.
- 16:02Speaker 4: Yeah, and I remember being like, I'm never going to
- 16:04Speaker 4: watch this again. Really, I get the message, I know, see,
- 16:07Speaker 4: that's what I figured. And I find that a little strange.
- 16:09Speaker 7: Fights told me he watches that movie like once a week. Seriously,
- 16:14Speaker 7: he said that movie. He said, Spotlight, Chernobyl and Dope
- 16:18Speaker 7: Sick are like his comfort.
- 16:20Speaker 4: Why would you go back to those?
- 16:22Speaker 7: All three of the most depressing things I've ever seen.
- 16:25Speaker 4: All of those are one time watches for me. Yeah,
- 16:27Speaker 4: and not because they weren't spectacular pretty good. It is
- 16:31Speaker 4: that would be the only that I watched I could rewatch.
- 16:34Speaker 7: I don't think I would rewatch Dope Sick, even though.
- 16:38Speaker 1: It was the.
- 16:40Speaker 4: Crisis.
- 16:41Speaker 7: It was like the Painkillers Netflix show, but it was better.
- 16:45Speaker 4: It came out first and it was really good. It
- 16:48Speaker 4: had the guy who played Michael Keaton, Michael, You're poisoned Billy.
- 16:56Speaker 4: That scene another strange thing to quote. You remember that
- 17:01Speaker 4: part you guys knowing Moonlight that remember that scene Moonlight
- 17:06Speaker 4: that's my son.
- 17:08Speaker 1: It's a pretty like uh Chandler's List when they just
- 17:11Speaker 1: turned the showers on.
- 17:13Speaker 4: It's a pretty My favorite part of Manchester by the
- 17:16Speaker 4: Sea when he's picking him up at school, he's like,
- 17:18Speaker 4: you're not my dad. Is a great movie, it is,
- 17:23Speaker 4: but these aren't.
- 17:24Speaker 7: Move I watched, like fucking Manchester by the Sea is
- 17:27Speaker 7: a rewatch for sure. I've seen that movie like three times,
- 17:29Speaker 7: four times.
- 17:30Speaker 4: It's strange.
- 17:31Speaker 7: Maybe I just like it because because it's I feel
- 17:33Speaker 7: like it's so realistic to Massachusetts. True, it's the only
- 17:38Speaker 7: like massa Chusetts movie that feels like it's actually in Massachusetts.
- 17:43Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 17:43Speaker 1: I only watched that once. All the stuff. That was
- 17:47Speaker 1: the one where the kid that you know a little bit.
- 17:50Speaker 4: He's in that is Heah you got nominated for that. Yeah,
- 17:53Speaker 4: a kid, Lucas Hedges.
- 17:55Speaker 1: Lucas Hedges and he had another movie where he was
- 17:58Speaker 1: like an addict or something like that.
- 18:00Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, it was so dark. I think Julia
- 18:02Speaker 4: Roberts was his mom. It was his mom.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Yeah, and then he's like running away at the end
- 18:06Speaker 1: or something that's like I'll never rewatch that.
- 18:08Speaker 4: I can't remember that movie. But then also mid nineties,
- 18:11Speaker 4: I thought he was really good.
- 18:12Speaker 1: In Yeah, he's awesome, And mid nineties is rewatchable, broke.
- 18:17Speaker 7: We need to I wonder what mid nineties is tracked?
- 18:20Speaker 4: You don't have that movie blow your You're like sort
- 18:24Speaker 4: of takes on rewatchable movies are so bad that.
- 18:28Speaker 7: Mid nineties I barely made it through the first watch.
- 18:31Speaker 7: That's a good movie, let alone a rewatch. Jonah Hill's director,
- 18:34Speaker 7: it's like nostalgic to a time that he can't access.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I think d D. Have you watched d D?
- 18:41Speaker 1: That's like the same type of movie that's missed out.
- 18:43Speaker 7: Yeah, you guys can definitely relate to that movie. What
- 18:45Speaker 7: growing up in LA in the nineties being.
- 18:48Speaker 4: A skateboarder with like an abusive older brother.
- 18:50Speaker 1: I think it's more like the VCRs and like the
- 18:52Speaker 1: style do you need to be?
- 18:54Speaker 4: The movies need to be relatable in order to watch
- 18:56Speaker 4: them multiple times, because if that's true, then who molested you?
- 19:00Speaker 3: You?
- 19:00Speaker 7: You guys just said that I couldn't get into mid
- 19:03Speaker 7: nineties because I didn't because I can't relate to that time.
- 19:05Speaker 4: Did you say that?
- 19:06Speaker 1: I just said that. I was saying that there's like
- 19:09Speaker 1: a nostalgia I think one of the most attractive parts
- 19:11Speaker 1: of that movie is the nostalgia part of it. And
- 19:13Speaker 1: so it's like, if you're not which part of it
- 19:15Speaker 1: was nostalgic for you, I think like the style, and
- 19:18Speaker 1: like the types of cars, and like them going to,
- 19:21Speaker 1: like the malls that they went to, like how people dressing,
- 19:24Speaker 1: like the music that they're listening to.
- 19:26Speaker 7: True, Yeah, I forgot about the famous mall scene.
- 19:29Speaker 1: They're skateboarding outside of the mall. Isn't that where they
- 19:31Speaker 1: try to do the first jump where he like lands
- 19:33Speaker 1: flat on his back.
- 19:34Speaker 7: No, the famous mall scene, of course.
- 19:37Speaker 4: Yeah, here we go.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Someone called you like an argue lord and like any.
- 19:45Speaker 7: Really president, but saying that Mid Nineties is more rewatchable
- 19:50Speaker 7: than Manchester by the Sea or or or I just.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Don't like dark movies to Rewald like, I think I
- 19:56Speaker 1: think it absolutely is.
- 19:58Speaker 7: But like your that's like, like mid Nineties isn't even
- 20:01Speaker 7: in the same realm as.
- 20:02Speaker 4: I'm not saying it's a better movie. We're talking about rewatchability,
- 20:05Speaker 4: which to me, is you know old school wedding Crashers,
- 20:09Speaker 4: Garden State. I've seen a dozen times movies like that
- 20:12Speaker 4: that are pleasant where the second, the third, the fourth,
- 20:16Speaker 4: watch is.
- 20:17Speaker 7: Yeah, but I just like to move like like I've
- 20:19Speaker 7: seen Oppenheimer like five times.
- 20:20Speaker 4: Yes, as have I.
- 20:21Speaker 7: But that's a dark movie.
- 20:25Speaker 4: It's not as dark as Spotlight.
- 20:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I kind of agree. I think it's more like
- 20:30Speaker 1: epic and.
- 20:31Speaker 7: I'm not about like one of the worst things that's
- 20:33Speaker 7: ever happened in history.
- 20:34Speaker 1: But there's no fallout of like that their side of it,
- 20:38Speaker 1: like like.
- 20:39Speaker 7: We're talking about like eighty kids in Boston versus like
- 20:42Speaker 7: six hundred thousand people in Japan.
- 20:45Speaker 4: Wait a minute, Okay, I see what you mean. I
- 20:51Speaker 4: got it now.
- 20:53Speaker 1: The argue lord strikes again the first time.
- 20:55Speaker 4: I'm just saying, at first, I thought you were talking
- 20:57Speaker 4: about Manchester by the Sea, and I was like, dude,
- 20:58Speaker 4: I don't think eighty kids died in that movie. It
- 21:01Speaker 4: was just his three right. When the log rolled out
- 21:04Speaker 4: from the screen, He's like, and I wanted more coke,
- 21:07Speaker 4: so I went to the store and I must have
- 21:10Speaker 4: left the screen open and a log probably rolled out.
- 21:15Speaker 4: I don't understand. It's when he's telling the story of
- 21:18Speaker 4: how his fucking whole family burnt down, and he's telling
- 21:22Speaker 4: it and he has this unbelievable resignation and it's and
- 21:27Speaker 4: then he walks out and he grabs the guy's gun,
- 21:29Speaker 4: tries to kill himself, but he doesn't switch his safety
- 21:31Speaker 4: off and they tackle him. Yeah, that's a good scene.
- 21:34Speaker 4: And it's like, dude, if you felt that, then why
- 21:37Speaker 4: don't you just try when you left the fucking police station.
- 21:39Speaker 7: Didn't have a gun. Not hard to get mass choosetts
- 21:42Speaker 7: not easy.
- 21:44Speaker 4: Man of his means, Janitor, Sure.
- 21:46Speaker 7: We could probably find one. Everyone he knows has a gun.
- 21:53Speaker 7: He's literally only friends with like fishermen, right right.
- 21:57Speaker 1: I enjoy rewatching like a like a crime movie. Those
- 22:02Speaker 1: I think are my most fun movie watch. Sounds great
- 22:05Speaker 1: to rewatch or like god like Godfather.
- 22:08Speaker 10: Or something like that, like some kind of Spotlight.
- 22:12Speaker 1: I guess that was a crime. I guess most movies
- 22:14Speaker 1: involved some kind of.
- 22:15Speaker 4: Crime investigative drama. Yeah. I love Spotlight, Dark Waters and
- 22:20Speaker 4: Aaron Brockfish Dark Waters. I just read just rewatch dark
- 22:25Speaker 4: Nothing like that intrepid lawyer that takes on the chemical
- 22:28Speaker 4: I just rewatched that movie. It's testing the waters as
- 22:31Speaker 4: he hops through over the fence. Yeah, finding you know,
- 22:34Speaker 4: retribution for all the families whose children grew up with horns.
- 22:37Speaker 7: I get what you guys are saying, you don't want
- 22:39Speaker 7: to rewatch dark movies. I just think I don't know,
- 22:41Speaker 7: did I kind of get what you're saying, But I
- 22:44Speaker 7: think I have different Like I would never rewatch like,
- 22:49Speaker 7: I would never rewatch like I said, I'd never re
- 22:50Speaker 7: watch Dope sick. I'd never rewatch like what's that movie
- 22:53Speaker 7: with Timothy Shallowman Steve Carell.
- 22:55Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I never watched that Beautiful Boy Like,
- 22:58Speaker 4: I just avoided that. I knew I didn't want to
- 23:00Speaker 4: see ye because it's pretty good. I'm sure it's excellent,
- 23:04Speaker 4: But why do I need to ruin my day?
- 23:06Speaker 1: Oh?
- 23:07Speaker 10: It doesn't necessarily ruin the day?
- 23:08Speaker 4: Have I ever told you?
- 23:11Speaker 1: I told you that there was a period.
- 23:17Speaker 4: That's not even worth arguing about. What? What ruins a day?
- 23:22Speaker 4: What is a day?
- 23:23Speaker 1: Dark movie?
- 23:24Speaker 10: But it's not like one of those.
- 23:25Speaker 7: It's not like I close my laptop after watching it
- 23:27Speaker 7: and I'm like, well, I guess I'll.
- 23:28Speaker 4: Just go to bed now, right, Okay, I'll let you
- 23:31Speaker 4: have that point.
- 23:32Speaker 7: That's usually when I throw on some NFL highlights.
- 23:35Speaker 4: A little palate cleanser.
- 23:36Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 23:36Speaker 4: I used to watch Wallace and Grommet as a child,
- 23:39Speaker 4: after a scary movie to a good good flicks.
- 23:42Speaker 1: There's a darkness about Wallace and Grummitt that uh yeah,
- 23:45Speaker 1: it's a.
- 23:45Speaker 7: Little tough for you guys to handle, not to rewatch.
- 23:48Speaker 1: Definitely not something morbid about Wallace and Grommet. Well, the
- 23:53Speaker 1: one with the.
- 23:53Speaker 4: Wrong trousers where the chicken is the thief, the jewel thief.
- 23:56Speaker 4: That one was pretty spooky, right dark. You watched the
- 23:59Speaker 4: new one, Oh, the weird Rabbits, I don't know, it's
- 24:04Speaker 4: on Netflix's pretty good. Actually you watched it. Well, I'll
- 24:07Speaker 4: say this, the claymation has come a long way.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Oh yeah, are they with clay?
- 24:11Speaker 4: They are? And whoever is doing the clay now is
- 24:14Speaker 4: way better than the og clay Master.
- 24:16Speaker 7: Well, they probably got like forty guys running the clay
- 24:19Speaker 7: or clay has come a long way claims as a material.
- 24:23Speaker 1: Did they take still frames of it?
- 24:25Speaker 10: I believe so. Yeah.
- 24:26Speaker 4: I just saw the Louis joke where he's like I
- 24:30Speaker 4: had clay in my bag and agent took it and said,
- 24:34Speaker 4: have a nice flight. Look, lady, either that's a bomb
- 24:37Speaker 4: or it's not, and if it is, ask me a
- 24:42Speaker 4: lot of questions. Okay, So I was gonna say, yeah,
- 24:49Speaker 4: that there was a moment in my life, you know,
- 24:51Speaker 4: as any I think probably when I was in college,
- 24:55Speaker 4: where you know, you start to rebel against your parents,
- 24:58Speaker 4: your dad or whatever, just a little angsty, a little phazy.
- 25:03Speaker 4: And my dad I don't know if he did it intentionally,
- 25:08Speaker 4: but there was subliminal messaging around the house about how
- 25:13Speaker 4: he longed to mend, you know. And so for example,
- 25:21Speaker 4: I came home and I logged in, I was on
- 25:22Speaker 4: there the TV and Netflix, and it was like back then,
- 25:26Speaker 4: the categories of movies that would be recommended for you
- 25:30Speaker 4: were so specific, and I remember the top category was
- 25:34Speaker 4: like father Son Reconcilia. It turns out there's a lot
- 25:42Speaker 4: of movies for that to be the case.
- 25:43Speaker 1: Damn. Therefore, more the father and the more the son.
- 25:49Speaker 4: Probably son coming back to father. Yeah. But I say
- 25:52Speaker 4: this because that's Steve Carell Timothy Shawomey movie I'm sure
- 25:55Speaker 4: would have fit right under that. Yeah.
- 25:57Speaker 7: Probably maybe that's probably like the darkest movie I've ever seen,
- 26:03Speaker 7: next to like Basketball, Diaries. Basketball Diaries was so dark
- 26:06Speaker 7: that it wasn't even like it. No part of it
- 26:08Speaker 7: was enjoyable. You're like, this is just a tragedy.
- 26:12Speaker 4: Yeah, it was pretty fun.
- 26:13Speaker 1: The fact that it was DiCaprio though.
- 26:15Speaker 4: Yeah, I was like, Yeah, the scene where he's in
- 26:17Speaker 4: the bed and Samuel L. Jackson won't let him go,
- 26:19Speaker 4: it's just forcing him to kick it. That's some good actors.
- 26:22Speaker 7: I watched that movie when I was like, yeah, thirteen,
- 26:26Speaker 7: way too young.
- 26:27Speaker 1: Two words together makes it seem like a really nice man.
- 26:30Speaker 4: I might have been.
- 26:30Speaker 7: It might have been closer to like twelve when I
- 26:32Speaker 7: watched it.
- 26:33Speaker 4: Yeah, you think it's going to be a mashup of
- 26:35Speaker 4: love and basketball Princess Diaries neither.
- 26:38Speaker 1: Really, you really do? Yeah, it sounds like the same
- 26:40Speaker 1: kind of thing.
- 26:41Speaker 7: Barely any basketball in that movie. Yeah, Second Diaries maybe
- 26:45Speaker 7: like one minute of basketball, and it's the scene where
- 26:48Speaker 7: he's like he takes the downers instead of the uppers.
- 26:51Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a whole different kind of shooting going on.
- 26:53Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 26:54Speaker 4: Yeah, Yeah, it's more like a mashup between Requiem for a.
- 26:57Speaker 1: Dream and twenty fifth Hour.
- 27:00Speaker 7: Yes, I think I was so intrigued by the movie
- 27:03Speaker 7: because you couldn't. I couldn't find it anywhere. It was
- 27:05Speaker 7: the first movie I've ever seen that wasn't on like
- 27:07Speaker 7: Amazon Prime. It wasn't on any streaming platform, so I
- 27:10Speaker 7: had to watch it on an illegal streaming website.
- 27:12Speaker 4: The first movie you'd ever seen that wasn't on Amazon Prime.
- 27:16Speaker 7: Dude, it's pretty tough to find a movie that's not
- 27:18Speaker 7: on Amazon.
- 27:18Speaker 3: No.
- 27:18Speaker 4: I just think that to me again, it's just the
- 27:23Speaker 4: generational divide showing itself. Well it used to be, remember
- 27:27Speaker 4: when it was just on demand? Yes, but I remember
- 27:33Speaker 4: movie rentals.
- 27:35Speaker 10: Well, yeah, we did movie rentals too. I was just
- 27:36Speaker 10: really young.
- 27:38Speaker 4: Only DVDs.
- 27:39Speaker 10: I bet no, we had a VCR machine.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Really yeah, VCR machine sounds funny.
- 27:47Speaker 7: I mean, I'm not from I wasn't born in twenty thirteen.
- 27:52Speaker 1: Did you do you remember going to a movie store?
- 27:54Speaker 7: Yeah, we had one in red in our like little
- 27:56Speaker 7: Town Hall.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Was there like a porno section of it behind like
- 27:59Speaker 1: beaded like?
- 28:01Speaker 7: I was way too young to remember that.
- 28:03Speaker 4: Do you remember do you remember occasionally having to rewind
- 28:08Speaker 4: the movie when you brought it home because some of
- 28:10Speaker 4: the previous person had not.
- 28:12Speaker 7: Nope, I'm assuming my parents probably did that. That was
- 28:17Speaker 7: probably two Yeah, but I do remember there was a
- 28:22Speaker 7: blockbuster in the town over.
- 28:24Speaker 1: Was there a porno section in your videosto? Yeah, there
- 28:26Speaker 1: was you when you were like seventeen eighteen. Did you
- 28:29Speaker 1: ever wander in.
- 28:29Speaker 4: By that point, you know, I had graduated to the internet.
- 28:34Speaker 1: Desktop porn, Yeah, Internet, Yeah, I guess so. I guess
- 28:38Speaker 1: I never felt the need to rent porn, but I
- 28:42Speaker 1: know I wandered in there once or toy. I probably
- 28:43Speaker 1: wasn't seventeen eighteen. I was probably a little bit younger,
- 28:46Speaker 1: but I never knew how it would go, like bringing
- 28:49Speaker 1: like the title to the front and being like, hey,
- 28:51Speaker 1: can I get a copy of like Busty Babes twelve
- 28:53Speaker 1: or whatever?
- 28:53Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 28:54Speaker 1: You think they would be disgusted by it? Or do
- 28:56Speaker 1: you think they'd be like nice? Choice ends on the
- 28:59Speaker 1: guy or girl.
- 29:02Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know. I mean there's.
- 29:03Speaker 1: Always a long haired, like flannel wearing.
- 29:06Speaker 4: I think that there's probably a part of the training
- 29:10Speaker 4: program for movie rental stores, just as there is for
- 29:14Speaker 4: I think bodegas, when you have to get to the
- 29:17Speaker 4: front of the line and point out which condoms you'd like,
- 29:20Speaker 4: where the person the cashier is specifically taught in those
- 29:25Speaker 4: moments to remain as poker faced and resolute as possible.
- 29:29Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, makes sense.
- 29:30Speaker 4: Don't make it weird.
- 29:31Speaker 1: The bodega on boarding, Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah, I guess so.
- 29:36Speaker 1: I mean, I don't know, it would be funny if
- 29:38Speaker 1: the dude at the bodega is just.
- 29:39Speaker 4: Like, yeah, I know. The reason is they say that
- 29:44Speaker 4: members of Immigration Control are the most likely people to
- 29:47Speaker 4: practice safe sex. Really yeah, why, that's just the way
- 29:52Speaker 4: they live their lives. They're Feds.
- 29:54Speaker 10: Interesting.
- 29:55Speaker 4: They play it by the book, which means that if
- 29:57Speaker 4: you are a bodega owner and you are to laugh
- 30:00Speaker 4: at the face of them, you see where I'm going here?
- 30:03Speaker 1: Or do you think they're like, hey, nice man, get
- 30:07Speaker 1: in a bussy?
- 30:07Speaker 4: Huh fuck? Yeah, bro, that would be another way to
- 30:11Speaker 4: play it. And you're hoping for an immigration officer with
- 30:15Speaker 4: a sense of humor.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Or who's like proud of their exploits.
- 30:19Speaker 4: That's true, that's true.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Who just takes it at face value that they're being complimented.
- 30:25Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 30:26Speaker 1: Where where are those big ass boots from?
- 30:28Speaker 4: I just bought them this weekend because monster.
- 30:31Speaker 10: Yeah they look super nice.
- 30:32Speaker 1: What are those slam them on the table? I want
- 30:34Speaker 1: to know the way to end. No, no, slam it.
- 30:36Speaker 1: I want to hear the weight.
- 30:37Speaker 7: Oh yeah, let me see that brand.
- 30:39Speaker 4: Oh yeah, these are danners. Danners.
- 30:43Speaker 10: I definitely have seen those before.
- 30:45Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Yeah, these are good ankle support.
- 30:48Speaker 4: I had to buy it. I was in veil this
- 30:51Speaker 4: weekend or be actually yesterday. Yeah, flew out of failure.
- 30:57Speaker 4: So on your phone?
- 30:58Speaker 10: That's my phone's.
- 30:59Speaker 7: Boh, he's pissed. I have one because he's being removed
- 31:04Speaker 7: from our call of duty team.
- 31:07Speaker 1: Wait, you have to take this call now.
- 31:08Speaker 10: He's just gonna call to say what's up.
- 31:11Speaker 4: I love that he calls you every day. Yeah, he's
- 31:13Speaker 4: in I mean he's in Spain, so it's probably like.
- 31:16Speaker 10: What eight there?
- 31:17Speaker 4: What What do I have to do to be part
- 31:20Speaker 4: of the group that when I call you you pick up?
- 31:22Speaker 4: Because I call you a lot. I pick up pretty
- 31:24Speaker 4: much every single time you call me. I do. And
- 31:27Speaker 4: I know not to call you before noon because you're
- 31:29Speaker 4: still asleep.
- 31:29Speaker 7: That's not true. I was up in nine this morning.
- 31:32Speaker 4: Wow, what happened?
- 31:34Speaker 7: Went to bed early? So I went to bed at
- 31:35Speaker 7: six the night before.
- 31:37Speaker 10: Hmm, am right.
- 31:39Speaker 7: I figured devastating, Why would you do that? I was
- 31:42Speaker 7: so dumb stayed up all night playing video games, played
- 31:45Speaker 7: video games till like three. It wasn't six. It was
- 31:48Speaker 7: probably like five thirty that I fell asleep.
- 31:51Speaker 1: Oh that's nothing.
- 31:53Speaker 10: It was really bad.
- 31:54Speaker 4: I felt awful. That's like coke night.
- 31:57Speaker 7: Yeah. It's kind of like you're in bed and you're like, well,
- 32:00Speaker 7: I've ruined by the next day already, which is as well,
- 32:03Speaker 7: just stay up, you.
- 32:03Speaker 4: Switch time zone. You traveled across the Atlantic, dude, in.
- 32:09Speaker 7: Your own honestly, like at this point, like I need
- 32:13Speaker 7: to get into bed two to three hours before when
- 32:16Speaker 7: I want to fall asleep.
- 32:17Speaker 4: Why, because you're on your phone the whole time. Yeah,
- 32:20Speaker 4: And what are you looking at exactly? It's just always
- 32:22Speaker 4: watch YouTube videos?
- 32:23Speaker 10: Is it YouTube hours?
- 32:24Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 32:25Speaker 1: Are you watching the whole video? Are you like putting
- 32:27Speaker 1: the video up in the corner while you scroll or
- 32:30Speaker 1: are you just.
- 32:30Speaker 7: Like no, I really don't do much scrolling. It's really
- 32:33Speaker 7: just YouTube.
- 32:33Speaker 1: You're just zone in on it.
- 32:34Speaker 7: Like I'll watch a full video and then I'll be like,
- 32:36Speaker 7: all right, what's next?
- 32:37Speaker 4: What did you like?
- 32:38Speaker 1: What are some types of videos?
- 32:40Speaker 7: Well, the NFL Films is putting out like top one
- 32:43Speaker 7: hundred catches of the year top one hundred throws a year,
- 32:46Speaker 7: Top one hundred runs of the year videos are like
- 32:48Speaker 7: forty five minutes.
- 32:49Speaker 4: Yeah, it's tough.
- 32:51Speaker 7: I was doing mock drafts fantasy for fantasy, not even
- 32:56Speaker 7: the Patriots. I started on at like four point thirty
- 32:59Speaker 7: in the morning and it didn't intil like five.
- 33:01Speaker 1: Some bro hit me up. If you're trying to mock
- 33:03Speaker 1: draft fantasy, Yeah, I would have. I would have got
- 33:05Speaker 1: up right away.
- 33:06Speaker 7: Well because I was thinking about it, because I was
- 33:08Speaker 7: watching the top one hundred plays and You're like, there's
- 33:10Speaker 7: a lot of good rookies out there that I'm like
- 33:11Speaker 7: forgetting about that could be key players next season.
- 33:14Speaker 1: That's why it's a scout the actual draft too, Like
- 33:17Speaker 1: there's gonna be rookies this year who nobody's ever heard of.
- 33:20Speaker 1: But you have the edge because you were watching the
- 33:21Speaker 1: Boise State footage.
- 33:23Speaker 7: It's just tough because there's a lot of there's a
- 33:25Speaker 7: lot of talent in running backs right now. There's a
- 33:27Speaker 7: lot of good running backs, like an overwhelming amount of
- 33:31Speaker 7: good running backs right now.
- 33:33Speaker 4: Tough to choose.
- 33:34Speaker 1: Yeah, you are basically addicted.
- 33:37Speaker 7: Like if like if the Giants get a good O
- 33:39Speaker 7: line Tracy, that might be my one one.
- 33:43Speaker 4: I think that I think that it's unlikely for Saquon
- 33:48Speaker 4: Barkley to have another season on the heels of the
- 33:51Speaker 4: one he just had of the same caliber. I just
- 33:54Speaker 4: think that running back is a position that you know,
- 33:58Speaker 4: you get beat up.
- 33:59Speaker 7: I think he's got a least one more. I think
- 34:01Speaker 7: it might not be next season.
- 34:02Speaker 4: I don't think it'll be next season, but I think he'll.
- 34:04Speaker 7: Still I mean, he's obviously going to have over like
- 34:06Speaker 7: i'd say he's he's definitely gonna have over like fifteen hundred, y'all.
- 34:10Speaker 4: I think over fifteen, Yeah, I think so. Do you
- 34:14Speaker 4: know how many carries he takes?
- 34:15Speaker 10: Yeah?
- 34:15Speaker 4: What is it like?
- 34:16Speaker 10: It's like twenty something a game.
- 34:18Speaker 4: It's insane.
- 34:19Speaker 10: It was like twenty five game.
- 34:21Speaker 1: Yeah, like three hundred and sixty carries or something like that.
- 34:23Speaker 1: I think in the regular season, I think Derrek Henry
- 34:26Speaker 1: had like three twenty or something. But Derek Henry's a
- 34:29Speaker 1: couple years older than him, and he yeah, equally good.
- 34:32Speaker 4: That's true, But he didn't have a year before like
- 34:35Speaker 4: that was a breakout year. He he hasn't had that
- 34:38Speaker 4: every year, right, Derrick Henry. He's had a lot of
- 34:41Speaker 4: good years.
- 34:43Speaker 10: Yeah, he's been in the league for what ten years?
- 34:45Speaker 1: Some shit like that. Yeah, Yeah, I guess some people
- 34:48Speaker 1: are in the off season.
- 34:49Speaker 4: Some people are just built a little differently where they
- 34:51Speaker 4: can bounce off hits and absorb it better. Yeah.
- 34:54Speaker 7: I mean Taekwon didn't really take any like he doesn't
- 34:57Speaker 7: really take like nasty hits.
- 34:58Speaker 3: Dude.
- 34:58Speaker 4: He gets thrown to the ground some times awkwardly, where
- 35:02Speaker 4: you know, guys are landing on top of you, twisting,
- 35:05Speaker 4: landing on your legs.
- 35:07Speaker 7: I think it's different though, when you got a guy,
- 35:08Speaker 7: like when you got guys like Derrick Henry and Saquan
- 35:11Speaker 7: who are like not only are they running backs, like
- 35:14Speaker 7: they're running backs, so like yeah, they're gonna get it's
- 35:16Speaker 7: like a shorter span career, but they're also like the
- 35:19Speaker 7: biggest guys on the field. Like Derrick Henry, It's like
- 35:22Speaker 7: there's not really anyone that's hitting him that's gonna be
- 35:24Speaker 7: like whoa, Yes, but not one of the biggest's pretty big.
- 35:30Speaker 4: Muscular, but he's not tall at all.
- 35:32Speaker 10: Yeah, but he's wide as fuck.
- 35:34Speaker 7: Well, like he probably takes a hit a lot to
- 35:37Speaker 7: that point.
- 35:38Speaker 4: Then, like Jimmy, there's something about Josh Allen running that
- 35:41Speaker 4: is different from any other quarterback.
- 35:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 35:44Speaker 7: I did have Josh Allen as my one one in
- 35:47Speaker 7: my mom.
- 35:47Speaker 1: Are we Why don't you start a dynasty league so
- 35:51Speaker 1: you can actually care about the offseason and then have
- 35:53Speaker 1: a draft after the NFL draft.
- 35:55Speaker 7: It's not a bad idea, dude.
- 35:58Speaker 4: I was flying home from van yesterday.
- 36:00Speaker 10: First one first, no comfort.
- 36:06Speaker 4: No, I had a Delta flight and I was flying
- 36:09Speaker 4: to Atlanta and then connecting from Atlanta to La Guardia,
- 36:13Speaker 4: and I had I didn't want to pay up because
- 36:16Speaker 4: I thought I might get upgraded. Yeah, then that flight
- 36:18Speaker 4: got delayed enough that I wasn't going to make my connection. Yeah,
- 36:22Speaker 4: so I bailed on it and bought an American flight
- 36:25Speaker 4: and the only seats available were in the last row
- 36:29Speaker 4: on from Atlanta. No from that was a direct oh
- 36:34Speaker 4: from Vail. So I bailed on the whole Delta flight
- 36:37Speaker 4: and got on the American flight. Our delayed. We're flying
- 36:41Speaker 4: and uh, we get to about, I don't know, forty
- 36:45Speaker 4: five minutes from New York and the pilot says or
- 36:48Speaker 4: maybe it must have been a little more than that,
- 36:50Speaker 4: and the pilot goes, all right, everybody, I've got some
- 36:52Speaker 4: bad news. The weather in New York is terrible, So
- 36:57Speaker 4: we are going to divert to Chicago.
- 37:00Speaker 7: Oh Chicago?
- 37:02Speaker 4: Yeah? What why is that? First of all, that's not
- 37:05Speaker 4: that bad.
- 37:06Speaker 7: I thought you were gonna say some well, like Philly
- 37:09Speaker 7: or d C where you could get.
- 37:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:13Speaker 4: I would much rather land in Chicago than Rochester. Why
- 37:17Speaker 4: because first of all, I can for work if I
- 37:21Speaker 4: need to. If I have to spend the night, I
- 37:22Speaker 4: could go, you know, do stuff there. Or Two, there's
- 37:25Speaker 4: a lot more flights from Chicago to New York the
- 37:28Speaker 4: next day.
- 37:28Speaker 1: But why not like Cleveland? You know why? So far west?
- 37:33Speaker 7: The only time I've ever been diverted was I landed
- 37:36Speaker 7: in Rochester and I had to drive home because our
- 37:38Speaker 7: flight got canceled when we landed. Yeah, so you went
- 37:42Speaker 7: to Chicago, but I got home that night, right, But
- 37:46Speaker 7: I'm assuming you did as well.
- 37:47Speaker 4: Well, we landed in Chicago. No information people are People
- 37:52Speaker 4: get on the phone when we land and everyone's saying, yeah,
- 37:55Speaker 4: it's a disaster. No, they diverted us to Chicago. I
- 37:59Speaker 4: have no idea. I have no idea when I'm going
- 38:02Speaker 4: to get home. We taxi into the gate, they don't
- 38:05Speaker 4: open the doors, and then the pilot comes on and says,
- 38:08Speaker 4: all right, everybody, we're actually just gonna add a bunch
- 38:11Speaker 4: of fuel and hopefully they're gonna let us go to
- 38:15Speaker 4: back to New York. And everyone's oh, oh oh, back
- 38:24Speaker 4: on the phone. No, no, I mean, I'm not gonna
- 38:26Speaker 4: I'm not gonna count my chickens yet. But they're saying
- 38:30Speaker 4: where they're saying that we're gonna go, we're gonna be
- 38:32Speaker 4: back in tonight. And uh, they fill us up. Everyone's
- 38:38Speaker 4: standing up, everyone's happy, you know, moving around the plane.
- 38:42Speaker 4: I'm trying to think to myself. It took me a
- 38:44Speaker 4: few minutes to realize that that was the best outcome,
- 38:47Speaker 4: because I had gotten my head around the idea of
- 38:51Speaker 4: you know, going into Chicago, staying at a decent hotel,
- 38:56Speaker 4: having room service, and chilling for a night. What time
- 39:00Speaker 4: was it at that point, It was probably seven thirty.
- 39:06Speaker 4: Oh you could have got dinner, yes, exactly. And I
- 39:09Speaker 4: love Chicago, so I uh, I thought, Okay, I guess
- 39:14Speaker 4: this is the best option. But by now what was
- 39:16Speaker 4: supposed to have been a four hour flight is turning
- 39:21Speaker 4: into a seven hour flight. Yeah, with a landing stop,
- 39:27Speaker 4: can't get off the plane. So everyone's the gigantic line
- 39:30Speaker 4: for the bathroom. The whole plane. Yeah, is in line
- 39:33Speaker 4: for the bathroom. I'm in the last row. Yeah. I
- 39:36Speaker 4: only decided after two or three people had gone to
- 39:39Speaker 4: the bathroom that I wanted to go to the bathroom. Yeah.
- 39:42Speaker 1: Am I allowed to cut the line?
- 39:44Speaker 4: To cut that line? Or do I have to walk
- 39:46Speaker 4: to the front of the plane against traffic and wait.
- 39:49Speaker 10: From that point for I think he got to walk
- 39:51Speaker 10: to the front of the line.
- 39:52Speaker 4: That's kind I didn't walk. I waited until everyone had gone,
- 39:54Speaker 4: and then I went smart move. But but I didn't
- 39:57Speaker 4: know what the proper protocol was, because the only advantage
- 40:01Speaker 4: being in the back of the plane is that in
- 40:03Speaker 4: an event like that you do have primary access to
- 40:07Speaker 4: you got to be the first one.
- 40:08Speaker 1: Yeah, or you run the ship and you're like one
- 40:10Speaker 1: in one out clear the aisle regress right, bus of
- 40:14Speaker 1: bucks ahead.
- 40:15Speaker 4: People were just milling in the galley. They were milling, Yeah,
- 40:18Speaker 4: stretching the legs, a lot of mill workers.
- 40:20Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 40:20Speaker 4: Yeah, and uh. Anyway, so then then we taxi back out,
- 40:25Speaker 4: we take off, we head to New York. By the way,
- 40:28Speaker 4: they did, they did the fucking safety briefing again, which
- 40:31Speaker 4: pissed me off.
- 40:32Speaker 1: Yeah, we know.
- 40:33Speaker 4: It's like it's the whole cast. Yeah, we were all here.
- 40:37Speaker 1: That must be law. That must be They had to
- 40:39Speaker 1: do it. That's what the Air marshals are doing now
- 40:41Speaker 1: that there's no terrorist attack, just auditing to make sure
- 40:43Speaker 1: that the seat belts.
- 40:45Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I'm sure it's law. No meal service, no
- 40:49Speaker 4: drinks on the second leg, that's fine.
- 40:51Speaker 1: Or were you were you reading something?
- 40:53Speaker 4: I was watching the Black black Hawk Down documentary on
- 40:57Speaker 4: an iPad my phone.
- 40:59Speaker 7: Tough one to watch on the plane. You blow around,
- 41:01Speaker 7: you must have been pissed.
- 41:04Speaker 1: It head on, I know.
- 41:06Speaker 7: I mean, just like from the visuals of helicopters, he
- 41:11Speaker 7: had a boom box on his shoulder and rode thirty four.
- 41:14Speaker 4: Yeah, it's all dramatic reenactments. They don't have that much
- 41:17Speaker 4: footage of the actual they have. They have a little
- 41:20Speaker 4: footage of the first crash really from yeah, from a
- 41:23Speaker 4: far away. It's pretty insane.
- 41:24Speaker 7: I don't think I've ever seen that. I love to
- 41:26Speaker 7: look it up when I get home. I mean, the
- 41:28Speaker 7: thing explodes. I'll watch it multiple times. I'm a sicko.
- 41:31Speaker 4: It doesn't it doesn't have flame, but it's it's just
- 41:35Speaker 4: you know, giant, yeah, pile of dust and pieces of
- 41:39Speaker 4: metal and stuff.
- 41:39Speaker 1: All right, guys, let's take a second and talk about

- 45:15Speaker 7: guys end up getting home?
- 45:17Speaker 4: We get to New York and we are about to land.
- 45:20Speaker 4: I would say that the last twenty minutes of the
- 45:23Speaker 4: flight was the scariest experience I've ever had on a plane.
- 45:27Speaker 7: Really, Yeah, you guys were getting tossed around.
- 45:29Speaker 3: Dude.
- 45:29Speaker 4: It was as if we were a kite. Felt like
- 45:33Speaker 4: we were a kite made of tinfoil. Just an absolute,
- 45:37Speaker 4: fucking humbling universe moment of God will play with our plane. Yeah,
- 45:45Speaker 4: as if he's a four year old. Yeah, yeah, you know.
- 45:51Speaker 4: And again, I'm trying to watch Blackhawk down watch the fifty.
- 45:56Speaker 7: Caltis still just an awful choice to be watching that.
- 46:00Speaker 4: Your taste and what to watch is done.
- 46:03Speaker 7: I will hear in the middle of a plane crash.
- 46:05Speaker 4: And comforting room light or whatever. What's the one spotlight
- 46:11Speaker 4: Spotlight For the fortieth.
- 46:12Speaker 7: Time, I'd rather be watching Spotlight in that's an area.
- 46:15Speaker 4: That classic hilarious scene where the priests admits to diddling kids.
- 46:18Speaker 7: Now, there are some really funny scenes in that ship
- 46:20Speaker 7: in that movie.
- 46:21Speaker 4: Hold that thought. Okay, I am coming into land and uh,
- 46:26Speaker 4: we're getting tossed around and to the point where you
- 46:30Speaker 4: know you you see you come over the runway and
- 46:34Speaker 4: you see how we're supposed to be lined up and
- 46:37Speaker 4: we're not even close, and I'm like, oh, this is
- 46:40Speaker 4: going to be one of those times where we're going
- 46:43Speaker 4: to have to go back up and circle around. Yeah,
- 46:46Speaker 4: which has never happened to me. Really, I've never had that.
- 46:49Speaker 10: Twice.
- 46:50Speaker 7: Wow, it's horrifying. I know, they don't tell you right
- 46:53Speaker 7: and then you're just going back up.
- 46:55Speaker 4: Yeah. So so I'm thinking we're not close. There's there's
- 46:59Speaker 4: just no way. And not only that, but then I'm like,
- 47:04Speaker 4: I don't think this is going to get any easier.
- 47:06Speaker 10: Yeah, do you know what I mean?
- 47:09Speaker 4: I don't think we have this And I don't know
- 47:13Speaker 4: how cocky this pilot is. He had an accent like
- 47:18Speaker 4: I want to say, Eastern Europe. Yeah, it's an American
- 47:22Speaker 4: Airlines flight and the guy is coming on with an
- 47:25Speaker 4: unplaceable accent, and I'm like, what the fuck? How did
- 47:29Speaker 4: we get here?
- 47:30Speaker 1: So like Tony Saragusa and Rounders, Yeah, it's like kind
- 47:36Speaker 1: of Russian, but like, is that an American guy pretending
- 47:38Speaker 1: to be Russian?
- 47:39Speaker 4: Okay? But then I remembered he had flown into Veil,
- 47:45Speaker 4: which I think you have to have special training to
- 47:48Speaker 4: land in Veil as well as Aspen tell you write
- 47:52Speaker 4: all those mountain airports, so he may have some sort
- 47:56Speaker 4: of higher credential. And we are are still getting tossed around, right.
- 48:02Speaker 1: What's the what's the noise on the plane? Like like
- 48:04Speaker 1: the same way that everyone was.
- 48:05Speaker 4: Like, Oh, there's a little gaspiness. There's a little gasping.
- 48:09Speaker 4: I mean we're hitting the turbulence drops the stomach dropped
- 48:14Speaker 4: turbulence where it's like you got the guy's leg. Yeah,
- 48:18Speaker 4: the plane just goes drops like whatever is forty feet
- 48:21Speaker 4: in the air.
- 48:22Speaker 7: Except realistically it's probably like one foot.
- 48:24Speaker 10: No, it's probably like a lot, can be more like
- 48:27Speaker 10: three hundred feet.
- 48:28Speaker 4: It could be. I'm glad you just completely changed your
- 48:31Speaker 4: mind in the middle of that thought.
- 48:34Speaker 1: Because now you can't argue it because he said both
- 48:36Speaker 1: sides of the argument.
- 48:37Speaker 4: Yeah, well that's what I said, and the truth is
- 48:38Speaker 4: probably in the middle of something probably forty feet.
- 48:43Speaker 7: I'm the closest regardless, So no, I guess.
- 48:47Speaker 4: One hundred and sixty one hundred and fifty five feet. Anyway,
- 48:51Speaker 4: we we the wheels touched down hard and then we're
- 48:56Speaker 4: swerving around the runway and I'm like, I do this
- 49:02Speaker 4: thing when I'm in a really tough landing situation like
- 49:04Speaker 4: that where I want the last thoughts in my life
- 49:08Speaker 4: to be positive. So I'm just thinking about my family
- 49:13Speaker 4: and I'm picturing them and and and kind of So
- 49:16Speaker 4: this was really bad praying to say yeah, I mean
- 49:20Speaker 4: the flight got diverted three hours before. Yeah, we weren't
- 49:24Speaker 4: allow no flights were allowed to come in, and like.
- 49:27Speaker 7: If you landed on time, dude, it didn't seem like
- 49:29Speaker 7: anything had changed.
- 49:31Speaker 4: I don't know why they said, oh, no, we're good now.
- 49:34Speaker 4: We weren't. He's just like, so we we finally and
- 49:41Speaker 4: then you get then you straighten it out and the
- 49:43Speaker 4: brakes come on and it's okay, and uh, people started clapping,
- 49:49Speaker 4: and I joined. I've never done it before. I've never
- 49:55Speaker 4: clapped upon the landing of a plane. It was so deserved,
- 50:02Speaker 4: the amount of skill that this pilot.
- 50:05Speaker 10: How.
- 50:05Speaker 4: I think he did one of those landings where you
- 50:07Speaker 4: come in, come in sideways.
- 50:08Speaker 1: I think that's what it was.
- 50:10Speaker 4: I think he drifted in and handled it and landed
- 50:15Speaker 4: and everybody clapped. I've been on flights where people clapped.
- 50:20Speaker 4: Usually it's from some country home where a lot of
- 50:24Speaker 4: those people. I don't think I've ever been on a
- 50:26Speaker 4: plane before and so, uh, but this was Veil to
- 50:31Speaker 4: New York, so I presume a lot of these people,
- 50:34Speaker 4: I mean a lot of them were wearing you know,
- 50:35Speaker 4: eight dollars Cowboy. The week before, Ralph Lauren shit had
- 50:40Speaker 4: come from Aspen, because that Aspen airport usually people end
- 50:43Speaker 4: up flying out of Veil, a lot of wealthy people.
- 50:45Speaker 4: And uh, everyone everyone clapped and I joined, and I
- 50:51Speaker 4: fully thought it was the right thing to do. And
- 50:54Speaker 4: we taxied in and we got out, and sure enough,
- 50:57Speaker 4: the pilot came out for his curtain call. Oh yeah,
- 51:00Speaker 4: standing there, and I said, I gave him. I gave
- 51:02Speaker 4: him his props.
- 51:03Speaker 1: What did you say?
- 51:04Speaker 4: I was like, that was a hell of a landing.
- 51:06Speaker 4: He goes, thank you.
- 51:07Speaker 1: He knew, he knew what he did.
- 51:09Speaker 4: He was there.
- 51:10Speaker 1: That's so sick. When you clapped, did you do you?
- 51:14Speaker 1: Are you supposed to like kind of like look around
- 51:15Speaker 1: to everybody else when you clap where you just can't
- 51:17Speaker 1: kind of keep your eyes forward. I think that's the
- 51:20Speaker 1: cheesiest part about clapping after something, is like when you're
- 51:23Speaker 1: all like sharing the moment and like looking at each other.
- 51:26Speaker 4: Yeah, we've been through this together and by the grace
- 51:29Speaker 4: of God pointing at each other. And then that in
- 51:34Speaker 4: that is stony and daredevil who had his hand on
- 51:36Speaker 4: the wheel.
- 51:37Speaker 7: What do you realistically think it's like though? For the pilot, Like,
- 51:40Speaker 7: do you think he's I think at anale junk he's
- 51:44Speaker 7: actually like like so in your head, You're like, this.
- 51:46Speaker 10: Is the worst furbulence I've ever experienced.
- 51:49Speaker 4: It wasn't. It wasn't the worst turbulence necessarily that I've
- 51:52Speaker 4: ever experienced. It was the most that the plane had
- 51:55Speaker 4: ever been affected by weather in my life. Here's something crazy.
- 52:00Speaker 4: When we were parked at the gate and I stood up,
- 52:04Speaker 4: the plane was moving like a boat under my feet. Yeah,
- 52:10Speaker 4: by the wind. This is a parked you know, big
- 52:14Speaker 4: plane whatever, six seats across. What time was this we
- 52:18Speaker 4: landed at ten?
- 52:19Speaker 7: Was it that windy?
- 52:21Speaker 4: Dude?
- 52:21Speaker 1: It was insane.
- 52:22Speaker 7: Everyone's been talking about how windy it was.
- 52:24Speaker 4: I haven't.
- 52:24Speaker 7: I guess I haven't been.
- 52:25Speaker 4: Do you see what I'm saying? The plane was shifting
- 52:27Speaker 4: around on its wheels parked at the gate. Yeah, that's
- 52:30Speaker 4: by the wind.
- 52:31Speaker 1: I almost got knocked off of my bike today, like broadside,
- 52:34Speaker 1: Like the wind was just like pushing me asideway.
- 52:36Speaker 4: I can't believe you biked in today.
- 52:38Speaker 1: It's insane.
- 52:39Speaker 4: I would not have done today.
- 52:40Speaker 1: Thirty thirty degrees and it feels like it's like ten
- 52:43Speaker 1: nasty with the wind. But that's fucking that's exciting as hell,
- 52:48Speaker 1: and it's it's fun. Probably if you've had like a
- 52:50Speaker 1: drink or two, you're like, ohh if you're just sober,
- 52:53Speaker 1: or after a long weekend of drinking. The natural flight
- 52:56Speaker 1: anxiety that has to just have people that must have
- 52:59Speaker 1: been most scared of collective.
- 53:01Speaker 7: Of Ye, it was tough, the worst, the worst one
- 53:04Speaker 7: I ever had. It's hard to tell. It's hard to
- 53:07Speaker 7: tell which one's the worst one you've actually had, because
- 53:11Speaker 7: I used to be way more scared of flying. So
- 53:13Speaker 7: like I the worst one I might I might have
- 53:15Speaker 7: ever had probably wasn't actually that bad. I probably just
- 53:17Speaker 7: thought it was a lot worse. But I was on
- 53:19Speaker 7: I remember I was. It was when I was taking
- 53:20Speaker 7: Adavan to fly, and like it was like at a
- 53:23Speaker 7: point where it was like turbulence was so bad and
- 53:27Speaker 7: I was on Adavan and I was literally like people
- 53:29Speaker 7: were like screaming and I was looking around being like
- 53:31Speaker 7: we're good.
- 53:32Speaker 10: I was like, these things don't go down. I was like,
- 53:37Speaker 10: I was so caught.
- 53:38Speaker 1: On the one flight, I was like shit faced, like
- 53:40Speaker 1: my one dog was like we were about to have
- 53:42Speaker 1: to put it down. I could didn't give a fuck
- 53:44Speaker 1: about like the world and everyone was throwing up. I
- 53:46Speaker 1: was like, it's fine.
- 53:47Speaker 7: I'm like, is that the one you were going to Austin?
- 53:49Speaker 1: No, that was the one we were That wasn't That
- 53:51Speaker 1: wasn't a private plane. That was just a regular plane
- 53:53Speaker 1: that got struck by lightning right next to me.
- 53:55Speaker 7: Well, I didn't assume private plane.
- 53:58Speaker 1: Well the one that I was laughing at was was
- 54:00Speaker 1: a private one? Oh was that when you were with
- 54:02Speaker 1: big cat and throwing and like my run to the
- 54:06Speaker 1: bat and growing up? And I was just like cackling. Yeah,
- 54:10Speaker 1: usually I'm so fucking scared. But there's been a couple
- 54:12Speaker 1: other ones, one from West Virginia and one from Georgia
- 54:15Speaker 1: where I was like this is it where we were
- 54:16Speaker 1: dropping literally like four hundred Feet's great?
- 54:20Speaker 7: The drop is the one that I have a hard time,
- 54:23Speaker 7: hard time like brushing that one off.
- 54:25Speaker 1: Like I watched everybody on the plane like stand up.
- 54:30Speaker 1: I was just watching everybody like counter gravity, completely lose
- 54:34Speaker 1: their gravitational.
- 54:35Speaker 7: Pull to the the thing that you said earlier about
- 54:38Speaker 7: when when you get to diverted and the people start
- 54:41Speaker 7: calling when I we got when I got so dude,
- 54:44Speaker 7: when I got diverted. When when we landed in Rochester,
- 54:47Speaker 7: I was in first class, and I mean like you
- 54:51Speaker 7: were in you were last row of the plane. If
- 54:53Speaker 7: people are calling and having those calls in the last row,
- 54:56Speaker 7: imagine what the people in first class or people on
- 54:59Speaker 7: my flav We're like going up to the flight attendants
- 55:01Speaker 7: being like, this is the worst fucking flat I've ever been.
- 55:03Speaker 10: On in my entire life.
- 55:04Speaker 4: I'm supposed to be the White House twenty minutes.
- 55:08Speaker 1: Figure this out. I need you to figure this out.
- 55:10Speaker 4: Do you have any idea what happens when I don't show.
- 55:12Speaker 1: Up at work?
- 55:14Speaker 7: Your your net worth goes down?
- 55:16Speaker 10: Yeah?
- 55:17Speaker 4: You see that name tag you got right there? Might
- 55:20Speaker 4: as well take it.
- 55:21Speaker 1: Off right now, give it to me.
- 55:23Speaker 10: Give me control the economy.
- 55:24Speaker 7: Yeah, you have any idea how powerful I am?
- 55:26Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 55:26Speaker 7: No, we literally the dude next to me on the
- 55:28Speaker 7: flight like the guy to like this the row over.
- 55:31Speaker 7: I remember he called like as we landed he was
- 55:33Speaker 7: front row, so he had his feet up against the
- 55:36Speaker 7: wall and he calls like his wife or whatever, and
- 55:38Speaker 7: he's literally like out loud in front of like every
- 55:40Speaker 7: like to everyone just talking normally. It's like he's like, yeah, no,
- 55:43Speaker 7: this is the worst fucking flat I've ever been on.
- 55:45Speaker 7: He's like, We're never flying Delta again. This is a
- 55:47Speaker 7: fucking nightmare. And like the pot of the flat attendants
- 55:50Speaker 7: are like, we're so sorry.
- 55:51Speaker 4: Yeah, dude, how funny is it that we blame the airline?
- 55:54Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah for saving your life. Yeah, being like you
- 55:58Speaker 7: will die if we fly, or.
- 56:00Speaker 4: Just that you know, somehow United it would have handled
- 56:03Speaker 4: the different way. Yeah. United's fleet of planes, they're actually
- 56:07Speaker 4: impervious to uh adverse weather.
- 56:11Speaker 7: United's got these new Boeings. They just cut right, they
- 56:13Speaker 7: cut right through. Yeah, they're they're covered in gore Tex.
- 56:18Speaker 7: It's the gore Tex Pro. When that happened to me,
- 56:21Speaker 7: we landed, so we landed in Rochester and then same thing.
- 56:24Speaker 7: They were like, we're gonna fill up with fuel and
- 56:25Speaker 7: we're gonna go back to New York and uh we
- 56:28Speaker 7: were we taxed, So we filled up with fuel, waited
- 56:30Speaker 7: for like forty five minutes. And then they're like, I
- 56:32Speaker 7: were going, we're taxiing off. I fall asleep for probably
- 56:35Speaker 7: an hour, and then I wake up and we're back
- 56:38Speaker 7: at the gate, and then they were like, flights off completely.
- 56:41Speaker 7: We canceled the flight and then I had to drive
- 56:43Speaker 7: back eight hours.
- 56:44Speaker 1: The one time going back from a rough and rowdy
- 56:46Speaker 1: we were trying to beat the weather to the airport
- 56:50Speaker 1: to get on a plane to come back to New York,
- 56:52Speaker 1: and the weather was like terrible coming in. They're like,
- 56:54Speaker 1: it has to be now, it's like a five minute window.
- 56:57Speaker 1: And as we were getting on the plane, like just
- 56:59Speaker 1: like chairs are like in luggage, just tumbling across the runway.
- 57:03Speaker 1: And I asked the dude. I was like, are we
- 57:05Speaker 1: gonna be okay? Like the flight attendant was just chipper
- 57:07Speaker 1: as hell, and he was like, Oh, You're not gonna die.
- 57:10Speaker 1: It's gonna be really uncomfortable. The plane's not gonna crash.
- 57:14Speaker 4: It's like that boat pilot in Wolf of Wall Street. Yeah,
- 57:17Speaker 4: it's a little white chop.
- 57:21Speaker 7: Chop scene the scenall Street where he looks out the
- 57:26Speaker 7: window planes hit each other. That's like one of the
- 57:35Speaker 7: funniest scenes.
- 57:37Speaker 4: Yeah, that's great.
- 57:39Speaker 10: I love a good.
- 57:39Speaker 1: Uh.
- 57:40Speaker 7: I love a good bad flight story. They always get
- 57:43Speaker 7: me for some reason.
- 57:43Speaker 1: I know when you when he said his flight was bad,
- 57:46Speaker 1: I've never seen you light up like that.
- 57:49Speaker 7: It's so funny, like it's like it's obviously it's scary,
- 57:52Speaker 7: but it is funny because it's like, you're not gonna die.
- 57:55Speaker 10: Well realistically, I don't know.
- 57:57Speaker 1: There's been some plane crashes in the United recently.
- 58:00Speaker 7: That okay, the plane crashes in the United States.
- 58:02Speaker 10: This is what happens.
- 58:03Speaker 7: One plane crash. There was one actual plane crash and
- 58:06Speaker 7: it was a collision mid air, which is how like
- 58:08Speaker 7: ninety percent of plane crashes happen nowadays. The Philly one,
- 58:11Speaker 7: and then there's a bunch of small ones. People don't
- 58:14Speaker 7: realize those happen all the time. They're just never they're
- 58:16Speaker 7: never a big deal because small, like says nus, like
- 58:20Speaker 7: size planes crash, that happens.
- 58:23Speaker 4: Wait, but what what about the Philly one? What was that?
- 58:25Speaker 4: How big was that plane?
- 58:26Speaker 1: It was seven people died on it.
- 58:29Speaker 7: That happens like all the time in the world. The
- 58:32Speaker 7: reason that it was such a big deal was because
- 58:33Speaker 7: the one in DC happened like the day before, So
- 58:35Speaker 7: now is on everyone on Twitter. Who has to be
- 58:38Speaker 7: like a fucking conspiracy theorist. They're like something's going on,
- 58:42Speaker 7: and it's like no, yeah, enthusiasts, No one plane crashed,
- 58:45Speaker 7: and then the tiny planes that do crash crashed as
- 58:49Speaker 7: a coincidence. Well, I'm just saying I fly planes like
- 58:52Speaker 7: they're not like they're shooting down planes from the sky.
- 58:55Speaker 1: I stay on a tiny plane. Haven't you heard these
- 58:59Speaker 1: anecdotes that I'm telling you? Yeah, I guess no, Thank god.
- 59:02Speaker 1: I don't fly because I it wasn't worth it to me.
- 59:05Speaker 1: I'd rather go through the airport experience. Yeah, and drive somewhere.
- 59:09Speaker 1: I'm sure you've been on private planes.
- 59:11Speaker 4: Yeah, I have.
- 59:12Speaker 7: Also, don't private pilots require significantly less experience?
- 59:17Speaker 4: No, I don't think so. I don't think that's now.
- 59:19Speaker 4: I think it's the other way around. Really, Yeah, they're
- 59:22Speaker 4: flying it. I think a lot of jets fly to
- 59:27Speaker 4: higher out like forty five thousand. Yeah, cruising, which is
- 59:29Speaker 4: why they that, and the more powerful engines is why
- 59:33Speaker 4: they cut flight times down significantly.
- 59:37Speaker 10: But it is.
- 59:38Speaker 4: I do think the instances of private jets crashing are
- 59:43Speaker 4: higher than commercial. Ye.
- 59:47Speaker 1: Soon enough, they're just going to have like a rocket
- 59:49Speaker 1: that just goes straight up and then just paravel is
- 59:52Speaker 1: down to where you're well, they had the uh what
- 59:54Speaker 1: was the concord?
- 59:56Speaker 4: I almost, by the way, when you asked me if
- 59:58Speaker 4: you've probably flown private, I almost had the same response
- 1:00:00Speaker 4: that girls do when you ask them how much coke
- 1:00:02Speaker 4: they do. Well, I've never paid for it.
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: I know I'd get addicted if I met it myself
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: one time.
- 1:00:09Speaker 4: And then it's like, well, you know what, that just
- 1:00:11Speaker 4: makes you a fucking asshole. You're just getting it for free. Yeah,
- 1:00:14Speaker 4: the rest of us have to pay for cocaine. No,
- 1:00:18Speaker 4: I don't do it so much that I've ever had
- 1:00:19Speaker 4: to pay for it.
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: No.
- 1:00:21Speaker 4: Me, I'm just a hot girl.
- 1:00:23Speaker 7: Oh a free line the conquered.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: I think a power on the runway, as if this
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: is my lifestyle all the time. They flew at sixty
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: thousand and they break the sound too.
- 1:00:36Speaker 7: That's why they stopped flying them.
- 1:00:37Speaker 4: Sixty thousand sounds really high. That's pretty sure what they
- 1:00:40Speaker 4: what they flew at.
- 1:00:41Speaker 7: They flew super high, and then they were they would
- 1:00:44Speaker 7: there was too many sonic sonic booms, so it was
- 1:00:48Speaker 7: starting to become like a problem.
- 1:00:49Speaker 4: I thought it was because they couldn't and they couldn't
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: make it any bad fresh. I thought that there was
- 1:00:55Speaker 4: no seat price you could charge basically to off set
- 1:01:00Speaker 4: the cost of that flight.
- 1:01:02Speaker 7: Well, they're really they're supposed to be revamping it with
- 1:01:05Speaker 7: United's coming out with One Conquered.
- 1:01:08Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:01:08Speaker 7: I think it's called the Boom, so.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: They're marketing the sound of how it will be.
- 1:01:18Speaker 10: Let me look it up.
- 1:01:19Speaker 7: So conquered or maybe it's just like a boom supersonic.
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: It's not.
- 1:01:24Speaker 10: It was supposed to come out five, I thought.
- 1:01:28Speaker 7: But conquered was they like, so it would be like
- 1:01:31Speaker 7: three hours to fly from like.
- 1:01:33Speaker 4: New York till London. Yeah, and my parents did it.
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: Yeah really, Yeah, that's pretty They were gifted it as
- 1:01:38Speaker 4: a wedding present. That's pretty sick what they say. They
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: said it was pretty sick. It's very small though. It's
- 1:01:44Speaker 4: time play was very narrow. I think it was like
- 1:01:47Speaker 4: one seed on either.
- 1:01:48Speaker 7: Yeah, it's very small. It only it only seems like
- 1:01:50Speaker 7: super narrow or something. But there was well there was
- 1:01:54Speaker 7: a bad crash where everyone died.
- 1:01:59Speaker 10: Really conquered.
- 1:02:00Speaker 7: Yeah, and then also the sonic booms were like because
- 1:02:04Speaker 7: they would it would be flying over like Europe. And
- 1:02:07Speaker 7: then there would just be a sonic boom at like
- 1:02:09Speaker 7: four am, and it would wake up the entire continent.
- 1:02:12Speaker 4: Yeah, herds of cows over dead.
- 1:02:16Speaker 7: Yeah, and it was happening like it was happening like
- 1:02:18Speaker 7: on a daily based.
- 1:02:19Speaker 4: Entire wineries and all their bottles and shattered.
- 1:02:21Speaker 7: Yeah, and a ton of people started complaining and then
- 1:02:24Speaker 7: the crash happened and then they just called it quits.
- 1:02:27Speaker 7: But there Yeah, United is coming out with or they've
- 1:02:29Speaker 7: been coming out with one.
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: Isn't there only one sonic boom though? And it's when
- 1:02:33Speaker 4: they passed the speed of sound?
- 1:02:37Speaker 7: I think there can be I think there can be
- 1:02:38Speaker 7: multiple because I've seen it, like I have you ever
- 1:02:42Speaker 7: seen videos of sonic booms and there's like two?
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: Yeah, sonic booms probably one of my favorite things. It's
- 1:02:46Speaker 4: pretty sick. As a kid, I would I used to
- 1:02:49Speaker 4: just say it all the time. Yeah, I don't even know.
- 1:02:51Speaker 4: I would like throw a snowball and mean and say
- 1:02:53Speaker 4: it yeah, which didn't really make sense.
- 1:02:55Speaker 10: Now it doesn't make any sense.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: But isn't that like Street Fighter or some shit?
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:02:59Speaker 4: I think so.
- 1:03:00Speaker 7: That dude that jumped out of the spaceship for Red Bull,
- 1:03:04Speaker 7: remember that remember when that happens. Yeah, did he break
- 1:03:06Speaker 7: the sound barrier?
- 1:03:07Speaker 10: I think he did?
- 1:03:08Speaker 4: No, No, No, he was moving. I don't think a
- 1:03:11Speaker 4: human body falling at terminal velocity is faster than spew sound.
- 1:03:15Speaker 4: I don't think a human body can fall that fast.
- 1:03:19Speaker 4: I think it depends on how high or he was
- 1:03:21Speaker 4: in space, right, I think he might have broke the
- 1:03:24Speaker 4: sound barrier.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: Check it out tatis per second per second, you know
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: the formula.
- 1:03:29Speaker 4: I could be wrong. I'm willing to be wrong. Sonic boom,
- 1:03:34Speaker 4: you might It's possible that before he kind of entered
- 1:03:37Speaker 4: more of the atmosphere. I guess maybe he could have.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: I prefer if you guys argued this as if it
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: was fact.
- 1:03:45Speaker 4: I don't do that.
- 1:03:47Speaker 10: Neither do I.
- 1:03:48Speaker 4: I don't want to do something. I don't want to
- 1:03:50Speaker 4: die on a hill and be wrong.
- 1:03:52Speaker 10: Ye. Up a sound barrier?
- 1:03:53Speaker 4: He did?
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: Really?
- 1:03:55Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:03:56Speaker 7: First person to break the sound barrier without being in
- 1:03:58Speaker 7: a vehicle.
- 1:03:58Speaker 4: That's cool.
- 1:04:00Speaker 7: He jumped twenty four miles above earth. Wow, he reached
- 1:04:04Speaker 7: top speed of eight hundred and forty three miles per hour.
- 1:04:08Speaker 4: What is the speed of sound?
- 1:04:11Speaker 7: He was in free fall for four minutes and nineteen
- 1:04:13Speaker 7: so he did eight hundred miles in four minutes. I mean,
- 1:04:20Speaker 7: is that the fastest that anything has ever moved? Like
- 1:04:26Speaker 7: including planes and rocks?
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: He made himself a meteor. Yeah, he just turned himself
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: two one.
- 1:04:31Speaker 7: Hundred miles in four minutest, wouldn't it is eight hundred miles?
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: That's how high up he was.
- 1:04:37Speaker 7: I guess he was free falling.
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: So he's eight hundred miles an hour. But how high up?
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: What did you say he was?
- 1:04:43Speaker 7: He was twenty four miles above the earth, so.
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: He couldn't have gone.
- 1:04:49Speaker 7: That wouldn't make any sense, But that's what that's The
- 1:04:51Speaker 7: top speed that he reached was eight.
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: Hundred one hundred miles an hour for four minutes. Yeah,
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: still that's still very fast. Very If he did it
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: for an hour, he must he probably, Yeah, if he
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: just got bored and he's just like pulling out a
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: sleeve of pringles because he's been going eight hundred miles
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: an hour for forty five minutes.
- 1:05:10Speaker 7: What do you think happens as a human when you
- 1:05:12Speaker 7: break the sound barrier? I'd imagine it's like didn't we
- 1:05:14Speaker 7: see that in Top Gun?
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: Top Gun?
- 1:05:16Speaker 10: Maverick?
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: What happens a lot of people think that that's at
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: the very beginning.
- 1:05:20Speaker 4: Of the movie that is worth a rewatch.
- 1:05:23Speaker 7: That is, what's the what's the most amount of g's
- 1:05:25Speaker 7: you've ever hit?
- 1:05:27Speaker 4: We should do that for the podcast.
- 1:05:29Speaker 7: We should get it. We should go to one of
- 1:05:30Speaker 7: those places where we can hit it like a g's.
- 1:05:32Speaker 4: That's not a bad idea.
- 1:05:33Speaker 7: I would, I would, I would. You guys would see
- 1:05:35Speaker 7: a side of me that you've never seen, scream crying.
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: You're gonna say that you can do it really well.
- 1:05:42Speaker 7: I would be such a pussy to that. I can
- 1:05:45Speaker 7: barely handle the takeoff. I think you hit like one
- 1:05:47Speaker 7: G when you're taking off on a like if you
- 1:05:50Speaker 7: start your airlines.
- 1:05:52Speaker 4: It's funny. If you've ever, If you ever, if you've
- 1:05:56Speaker 4: ever heard the audio of the guy who's talking to
- 1:05:59Speaker 4: the guy in the share, Yeah, he's talking to him
- 1:06:01Speaker 4: as if he's having birth.
- 1:06:02Speaker 7: Yes, he's like yeah, and Brie, yeah, as your face
- 1:06:06Speaker 7: is being like sealed back.
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: You turned like one hundred years old on a regular
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: takeoff of a flight.
- 1:06:16Speaker 10: Yeah, Oh my god.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: How many g's does it go? Or he went to twenty?
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: We went to mock what ten? What did he go
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: to Mack eight?
- 1:06:26Speaker 4: I think eight is like insane, and I think anything
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: above that is like I don't even know. Yeah, I don't.
- 1:06:32Speaker 4: I don't know how possible what he did in the movie.
- 1:06:36Speaker 4: I don't think that was realistic.
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: Slow it down and if you get parachuted out you die.
- 1:06:40Speaker 4: Yeah, you can't jack from a plane at that speed's.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: Can he jack from a plane?
- 1:06:44Speaker 4: No, you can pre jack.
- 1:06:46Speaker 10: We should do that.
- 1:06:47Speaker 7: I start doing it like that for the pod, Like
- 1:06:50Speaker 7: that's like some like, uh, maybe we should start doing
- 1:06:53Speaker 7: like cool shit cool just put out like a thirty
- 1:06:57Speaker 7: second video of us going max geez you see who
- 1:07:00Speaker 7: gets the max G.
- 1:07:00Speaker 4: I think we have always wanted to do this type
- 1:07:03Speaker 4: of stuff. I'm to hear you being on board for any.
- 1:07:09Speaker 7: Definitely would be down to hit max G and see
- 1:07:11Speaker 7: what it feels like. Well, I'd be worried that it
- 1:07:13Speaker 7: would suck me up long term.
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: It probably does, probably like people who do like too
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: much ketamine or something like that.
- 1:07:21Speaker 7: Like, once you experience eight g's like the regular world
- 1:07:24Speaker 7: might not do it for you.
- 1:07:26Speaker 4: Yeah, probably wouldn't even be able to get to bed
- 1:07:28Speaker 4: till like six am.
- 1:07:29Speaker 7: Or so, Like what if you just lost the appeal
- 1:07:32Speaker 7: for life? You were like I just I need to
- 1:07:34Speaker 7: live at eight G's too many to feel that rush constantly.
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: I mean, I watched the video of Travis Pastrana jumping
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: out of the plane no parachute this weekend. That's a
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: guy who's who probably has lived at eight G's and
- 1:07:48Speaker 1: is trying to get back to eight G's all the time.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: Ye like he's actually, yeah, didn't he pretend that he
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: was like sleeping or something and wakes.
- 1:07:55Speaker 4: Up and dives out, takes a sip of the red Bull.
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: Has the guy going next to him, and then there's
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: another hovering in case that guy's messes up to swipe down.
- 1:08:03Speaker 7: That's gotta be crazy.
- 1:08:05Speaker 4: Yeah, it would probably be. I always thought it was
- 1:08:07Speaker 4: cold because he's only wearing shorts, no shirt.
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: He probably has so much adrenaline that he was like hard.
- 1:08:14Speaker 4: We jumped out of that plane for most Dangerous Game Show.
- 1:08:16Speaker 10: I totally forgot that you've been skydiving.
- 1:08:18Speaker 4: Been twice same place? Is it sick? I don't know
- 1:08:22Speaker 4: why I wish I hadn't done it again?
- 1:08:25Speaker 10: Why?
- 1:08:26Speaker 4: Because I think once is enough of a finger wag
- 1:08:28Speaker 4: to God?
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I had no interesting finger wagon to God.
- 1:08:32Speaker 4: I don't think I have no interest in doing that. Ever,
- 1:08:34Speaker 4: getting away with it once is all you need. I
- 1:08:39Speaker 4: don't you know. It's like watching Spotlight?
- 1:08:41Speaker 10: Yeah have you ever seen that SNL?
- 1:08:46Speaker 7: I think it was from this year. The police don't
- 1:08:47Speaker 7: destroy guys today where they're like going skydiving and they're
- 1:08:51Speaker 7: like they look over and the pilots got like, uh,
- 1:08:54Speaker 7: he's got like a like the you know I got
- 1:08:57Speaker 7: Uber drivers have their phone like mounted up top and
- 1:09:00Speaker 7: it's just he's watching a TikTok and says how to
- 1:09:02Speaker 7: fly the plane and he has air pods in.
- 1:09:06Speaker 4: That's funny.
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, that place is also like a notoriously dangerous skydiving,
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: is it. I think that there's been a lot of
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: I didn't learn this still afterwards, but I think that
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: there's been significant loss of life at that one here Tooude.
- 1:09:19Speaker 7: When I was in Phoenix, the my openers, one of
- 1:09:25Speaker 7: them is dude Andrew lives in New York but he's
- 1:09:27Speaker 7: from Phoenix, came out and he was like he was
- 1:09:29Speaker 7: staying till like Monday because he was like he was
- 1:09:31Speaker 7: back in Arizona and him and the host were going
- 1:09:35Speaker 7: skydiving the next day on Sunday, and then Saturday they
- 1:09:38Speaker 7: come in. They've been talking about going skydiving all week,
- 1:09:40Speaker 7: and then Saturday they come in and they're like, someone
- 1:09:42Speaker 7: died yesterday at the place that we were going to.
- 1:09:46Speaker 7: And then I guess they like shut down.
- 1:09:49Speaker 4: But would that have been one of the tandem ones.
- 1:09:52Speaker 4: I don't know, because whenever when you expressed to the
- 1:09:55Speaker 4: guy who is you know, strapped to your back and
- 1:09:59Speaker 4: it's shopping you, you say I'm scared and he goes, oh,
- 1:10:03Speaker 4: this this is nothing. This is a He goes, it's
- 1:10:06Speaker 4: a It's like riding a ferris wheel. That's the level
- 1:10:09Speaker 4: of safety we're at, which.
- 1:10:11Speaker 7: I'm I don't really think ferris wields are that safe.
- 1:10:15Speaker 7: There's like a fourteen year old kid running them.
- 1:10:20Speaker 4: Well, I don't know, so my guess would be that
- 1:10:22Speaker 4: the person who died there was probably someone trying to
- 1:10:24Speaker 4: get their license.
- 1:10:26Speaker 10: Yeah, I don't know.
- 1:10:27Speaker 4: It's my eighteenth jump.
- 1:10:28Speaker 7: Yeah, that is scary that there's always there's like a
- 1:10:31Speaker 7: couple of stories of people who, like their parents, you
- 1:10:33Speaker 7: didn't pull and then they live.
- 1:10:35Speaker 4: Yeah. So I had an uber driver in Dallas. I
- 1:10:38Speaker 4: think I told you this story who both of his
- 1:10:41Speaker 4: legs were prosthetics. Yeah, from the knee down, and we
- 1:10:46Speaker 4: were talking enough that I felt like I could ask
- 1:10:49Speaker 4: him what happened, and he said, I I'm an avid
- 1:10:53Speaker 4: skydiver and his shoot got tangled. Yeah, and he knew
- 1:11:01Speaker 4: that in that event, you have to put your legs
- 1:11:06Speaker 4: out and break your legs. Yeah, to sur Yeah, because
- 1:11:10Speaker 4: you know they're going to act as like a spring
- 1:11:14Speaker 4: or a hydraulic against your vital organs and your spine
- 1:11:20Speaker 4: so huge, you know, compound fractures and both legs. They
- 1:11:25Speaker 4: tried initially to save the legs and then just said
- 1:11:31Speaker 4: fuck it and took them away. And now to deal
- 1:11:36Speaker 4: with it, he said, the only thing that works is
- 1:11:38Speaker 4: eating two hundred and fifty milligrams of edible as a night. Damn,
- 1:11:43Speaker 4: that's how much he eats.
- 1:11:45Speaker 10: Is his clamor.
- 1:11:48Speaker 4: We've never seen Clamber's legs.
- 1:11:50Speaker 7: That's true.
- 1:11:51Speaker 4: But because we were we were talking about oh maybe
- 1:11:56Speaker 4: it was actually in Austin because he picked me up
- 1:11:58Speaker 4: from the airport.
- 1:11:59Speaker 7: Anyway, is every uber driver in Austin like fucked up?
- 1:12:03Speaker 7: Remember when we were there, and every single Uber driver.
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: We had was death. Yeah, like every single we're three
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: in a row.
- 1:12:10Speaker 7: Way and they'd play the directions at the loudest volume
- 1:12:14Speaker 7: you could even like, because they don't even know they
- 1:12:16Speaker 7: don't hear it.
- 1:12:17Speaker 10: So like we were, we were in an uber.
- 1:12:18Speaker 7: We were going from cap City back to like downtown. Wait,
- 1:12:22Speaker 7: how do you know that they don't hear it because
- 1:12:24Speaker 7: they're deaf? It's it says, why are.
- 1:12:27Speaker 4: They playing the directions at all?
- 1:12:28Speaker 7: Then they probably don't even know it's playing out.
- 1:12:32Speaker 4: I don't think. I think you're making an assumption. If
- 1:12:35Speaker 4: they have the volume and the directions up that loud,
- 1:12:37Speaker 4: my guess is it's because they want to hear it.
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: Or they could be like Funk, It's like people who
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: are legally blind but they have taken off glasses. Maybe
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: these people are legally deaf.
- 1:12:46Speaker 7: The volume that it was made me think that you
- 1:12:50Speaker 7: could be right. Maybe he's trying to hear it. I
- 1:12:52Speaker 7: don't know at that point why he wouldn't just go
- 1:12:53Speaker 7: headphones and put it up to max volume.
- 1:12:56Speaker 4: Well, you're not technically allowed to drive with headphones on?
- 1:13:01Speaker 10: Is that an Austin thing?
- 1:13:03Speaker 4: I think in general, I think that's a federal law.
- 1:13:07Speaker 7: I don't know if I've been in uber or been
- 1:13:08Speaker 7: in nuber where they don't have headphones on. Do they
- 1:13:11Speaker 7: have both ears now just one usually just one, yeah.
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: But tooth.
- 1:13:16Speaker 7: But it would be like we would be just sitting
- 1:13:19Speaker 7: in silence, like we were coming home we did the
- 1:13:21Speaker 7: live podcast and we were going back, and we'd be
- 1:13:23Speaker 7: sitting in silence, and all of sudden and just be like,
- 1:13:25Speaker 7: turn right, like the loudest volume you've ever heard, and
- 1:13:30Speaker 7: you'd be like, oh, it was insane. Uber drivers back
- 1:13:34Speaker 7: to back.
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it was three I I that's not how.
- 1:13:37Speaker 7: And you know what they said. They said that it
- 1:13:39Speaker 7: was all of them said it was because they were
- 1:13:40Speaker 7: skydiving and their ear drums bursted while they were skydiving.
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: Well, because they had lost their legs, so they were
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: going faster. They didn't have legs to slow them down
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: as they were getting through this guy by the way,
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: they said they hoped to lose their arms.
- 1:13:52Speaker 4: I asked the guy, my driver, I said, have you
- 1:13:54Speaker 4: ever gone skydiving since he goes? Yeah? Absolutely, of course,
- 1:13:59Speaker 4: he said that was an important part of kind of
- 1:14:01Speaker 4: coming to terms with what had happened to him.
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: But he does he wears prosthetics while he's skydiving, so
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: he is something to like break his fall.
- 1:14:09Speaker 4: I think so. And he's got a special pair that
- 1:14:11Speaker 4: are actually just springs, the spring the springs.
- 1:14:19Speaker 7: Yeah, every every that's like every single like shark wee.
- 1:14:22Speaker 7: You ever want You ever used to watch Shark Week?
- 1:14:25Speaker 4: Yeah? I didn't really get into it.
- 1:14:26Speaker 10: Really. You still love Shark Week.
- 1:14:28Speaker 7: But it would be like they would have like the
- 1:14:29Speaker 7: episodes that it would be like it would just be
- 1:14:31Speaker 7: like people fishing and you'd see big Great whites and
- 1:14:33Speaker 7: then you'd have the Then all of a sudden, you'd
- 1:14:35Speaker 7: have the episode where it was about someone that got
- 1:14:36Speaker 7: attacked by like a bull shark or a great white,
- 1:14:39Speaker 7: and every single one of them would be like, oh, yeah,
- 1:14:41Speaker 7: I go surfing every day, right, That's how I've never
- 1:14:44Speaker 7: felt more connected to the ocean. Face your fears and
- 1:14:46Speaker 7: it's like, yeah, you could just not go swing in
- 1:14:48Speaker 7: a pool.
- 1:14:49Speaker 4: Well then they win, though, the sharks went.
- 1:14:51Speaker 7: I'd be cool, Like if that was me, I'd be like, yeah,
- 1:14:52Speaker 7: you want, I have no doubt.
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: I mean, the sharks are older than us. The sharks
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: are gonna wind up winning over humans, like we're gonna
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: nuke each other or something, and the sharks will just
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: be down there chilling.
- 1:15:02Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: Probably really, well, how is the guy.
- 1:15:04Speaker 4: On the gas and the break, except when you do
- 1:15:06Speaker 4: the nuclear testing in water. Yeah, four hundred sharks get
- 1:15:09Speaker 4: blown fucking sky high, and.
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: That's probably why they attack us back.
- 1:15:13Speaker 7: That's one of the best like nuclear testing videos is
- 1:15:15Speaker 7: the one in the ocean.
- 1:15:16Speaker 10: Yeah. Yeah, it's like a tsunami comes out of nowhere?
- 1:15:19Speaker 4: Was what was your question?
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: How was the guy on the brakes with the prosthetically?
- 1:15:22Speaker 4: He was a good He was a good driver, he
- 1:15:24Speaker 4: said that. I asked him about the phantom pain, which
- 1:15:27Speaker 4: i'd heard about, which is this, uh, this thing where
- 1:15:33Speaker 4: you imagine that you still have your limb. Yeah, people
- 1:15:37Speaker 4: who have had amputations, that happens to them. Oh yeah,
- 1:15:40Speaker 4: and they'll get the pain in a part of their
- 1:15:42Speaker 4: foot or whatever that they think is still there. And
- 1:15:46Speaker 4: he goes, that happened a lot in the beginning. Now,
- 1:15:48Speaker 4: what his issue is is he has imaginary itches and
- 1:15:53Speaker 4: that drives him fucking crazy. And he described it. I
- 1:15:56Speaker 4: can't remember exactly what he said, but it sounded terrible,
- 1:15:58Speaker 4: sounds off. And he said the only thing he could
- 1:16:01Speaker 4: find that helped with that was marijuana. Because the doctors
- 1:16:05Speaker 4: were prescribing all the different types of medications to help
- 1:16:07Speaker 4: him deal with that, and each one had a crazy
- 1:16:09Speaker 4: side effect that he didn't like. Huge weight gain, made
- 1:16:13Speaker 4: him you know, sick all that, and that's when he
- 1:16:16Speaker 4: found two hundred edibles. Well I think he worked his
- 1:16:19Speaker 4: way up.
- 1:16:19Speaker 10: Yeah. Probably.
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: Do you think that that's he's at the peak or
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: do you think he's gotten to the peak and backed
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: it off a little bit? You think five hundred were
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: too much for him?
- 1:16:28Speaker 7: Five hundred his legs came back.
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: Just so he could hitch them like for like a minute.
- 1:16:38Speaker 7: Five hundred he was just scratching.
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: Just God came to him and was like, I'll give
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: you five more minutes with your legs. I was like,
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: I'll take it, just to get this fucking it out.
- 1:16:48Speaker 7: Five hundred out of control, masked woke up.
- 1:16:52Speaker 4: I was mid air. Why did he say something? Oh?
- 1:17:03Speaker 4: I said to him, I said, it isn't Isn't that
- 1:17:07Speaker 4: an expense? He said he eats that much at night? Yeah,
- 1:17:11Speaker 4: I said, isn't that expensive?
- 1:17:12Speaker 10: Say? Body think I'm driving uber?
- 1:17:15Speaker 4: Yeah, something like that. Also, he had a friend who
- 1:17:18Speaker 4: made it and you know, was given him.
- 1:17:23Speaker 7: If you get if you get like something like that though,
- 1:17:25Speaker 7: where you're genuinely using weed for medical purposes, like it
- 1:17:29Speaker 7: is there any insurance that covers that or now, well
- 1:17:32Speaker 7: I would think when.
- 1:17:33Speaker 4: You when you actually have your medical marijuana card and
- 1:17:36Speaker 4: the state that does the proper thing, and well I
- 1:17:40Speaker 4: know that. Uh usually those dispensaries will have a different
- 1:17:45Speaker 4: price for the medical patients versus recreational. It's cheaper for them.
- 1:17:51Speaker 4: I mean they can buy a lot more.
- 1:17:53Speaker 10: Yea.
- 1:17:53Speaker 4: The limit for if you have a proper medical card
- 1:17:55Speaker 4: is way more. You can just get like a pound. Yeah,
- 1:17:59Speaker 4: I mean I think I remember in Maine. I think
- 1:18:02Speaker 4: for recreational it's like you can only buy two and
- 1:18:05Speaker 4: a half ounces a day. Maybe it's a week, but
- 1:18:11Speaker 4: it's like yeah, uh that's plenty, yeah, two and a
- 1:18:14Speaker 4: half ounces.
- 1:18:15Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:18:16Speaker 7: They're always like, uh, like every city I go to,
- 1:18:18Speaker 7: they're always talking about how it's like if you get
- 1:18:21Speaker 7: caught with like two ounces, Like they're like, well, the
- 1:18:23Speaker 7: max you can have on you at a time, it
- 1:18:25Speaker 7: is like this certain amount, and it's like or else
- 1:18:27Speaker 7: you get or else you.
- 1:18:28Speaker 4: Get charged with criminal possession and what is it?
- 1:18:32Speaker 7: It's like a intent to sell? Yeah, and it's like
- 1:18:35Speaker 7: well yeah, yeah, like if you have four ounces on you,
- 1:18:39Speaker 7: you probably are selling.
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: This is all for me, This is to night. These
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: other two.
- 1:18:45Speaker 4: You're also probably more tired from firemen carrying bushels of
- 1:18:50Speaker 4: weed on your back.
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: Yeah, kettle Joe Rogan, kettlebell of weed. Which where the
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: fuck is?
- 1:18:59Speaker 4: Yeah? Where is? Where is road? He's down there. I'll
- 1:19:02Speaker 4: get him since Harry can't.
- 1:19:04Speaker 10: Someone moved him.
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: It's probably Wallow and Gilly when they come in here
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: to do big xra.
- 1:19:10Speaker 10: Plug or do their cool ass interviews.
- 1:19:13Speaker 4: All right. Mouke went to the parade, he did yeah,
- 1:19:17Speaker 4: oh yeah, the video was sick.
- 1:19:18Speaker 10: Yeah, he went to the parade.
- 1:19:19Speaker 7: He got it.
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: He dislocated his shoulder doing a uh Oklahoma drill.
- 1:19:24Speaker 7: He was cnel, That's what I thought it was gonna be.
- 1:19:26Speaker 7: He was climbing a tree, he said, And he said
- 1:19:29Speaker 7: that he he said he was like the amount of
- 1:19:31Speaker 7: shame that he felt after dislocating it. He was like,
- 1:19:34Speaker 7: why am I climbing trees when I'm twenty eight years old?
- 1:19:37Speaker 7: And then he said that he got like they found
- 1:19:40Speaker 7: some like nurse just in the crowd who like kind
- 1:19:42Speaker 7: of popped it back in, but he said it was
- 1:19:44Speaker 7: still fucked up and uh, and he was like, I
- 1:19:47Speaker 7: can't go to the er because if I go to
- 1:19:50Speaker 7: the er with a dislocated childer. I'm gonna be there
- 1:19:53Speaker 7: for fucking twenty four hours, Like he's gonna be the
- 1:19:56Speaker 7: last person they treat if someone going into the rbing
- 1:19:59Speaker 7: like my arm hurts when I move it like this, Yeah,
- 1:20:02Speaker 7: they're that guy, and they would get that guy's hanging
- 1:20:05Speaker 7: out of his head.
- 1:20:05Speaker 4: The trick to that, I think is just going screaming
- 1:20:08Speaker 4: yeah true, also covered in fake blood. If I had
- 1:20:11Speaker 4: to rank the people I know in my life whose
- 1:20:15Speaker 4: shoulders would dislocate the easiest, I think Mike would be
- 1:20:18Speaker 4: right at the top of the list. I bet you
- 1:20:20Speaker 4: he can pop it out like that finger trick you
- 1:20:23Speaker 4: do where you're like, oh, I just pulled my thumb off,
- 1:20:25Speaker 4: you know, Yeah, Oh no. I bet that's how easily.
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: Carlem shakes his shoulders going.
- 1:20:31Speaker 7: We were playing we were playing video games Saturday.
- 1:20:33Speaker 4: Night, like held Together with spicy Nuggets, fucking honey mustard sauce.
- 1:20:38Speaker 7: We were playing really late on Saturday night, and and
- 1:20:42Speaker 7: every in between every game, Mouke would go like completely silent,
- 1:20:46Speaker 7: and I was kind of being like, all right, we
- 1:20:47Speaker 7: should probably wrap it up, like it seems like everyone's
- 1:20:49Speaker 7: pretty gast and then I would be like, should we
- 1:20:51Speaker 7: get off, and then I gotta nowhere. Moke would come
- 1:20:54Speaker 7: back and you'd hear him like chewing, and he'd be like, no, no,
- 1:20:56Speaker 7: I'm like, let's like, let's keep playing. And then I
- 1:20:59Speaker 7: found out that he he was just eating like donuts
- 1:21:01Speaker 7: the entire time between games.
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: That's an insane thing.
- 1:21:09Speaker 7: God, he got like food earlier and he got like
- 1:21:12Speaker 7: a dessert with it, and he said that just in
- 1:21:14Speaker 7: between games, he was just munching on that. And he said, uh,
- 1:21:18Speaker 7: he said something. It was like some sort of thing
- 1:21:19Speaker 7: that you were dipping into chocolate. And he was like,
- 1:21:22Speaker 7: I'm not going to be crazy and dip into the chocolate.
- 1:21:24Speaker 7: And I was thinking about you with the nutella.
- 1:21:26Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I was to the chocolate.
- 1:21:28Speaker 7: As soon as he said that, I was like, dude,
- 1:21:30Speaker 7: you are one hundred percent going to dip into the
- 1:21:32Speaker 7: chocolate and he was like absolutely.
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: If not with the doughnut, then like with your hand,
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: like the bare.
- 1:21:38Speaker 10: Fingers, yeah, your finger fuck it?
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: All right?
- 1:21:42Speaker 7: All right, Well, I'm gonna be in Boston this weekend.
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: Yes, that's that show is definitely gonna sell out.
- 1:21:48Speaker 7: Yeah, I don't really know what the tickets are at
- 1:21:51Speaker 7: I know that most of them are pretty much sold out.
- 1:21:54Speaker 7: The Thursday show has some tickets left. I'm sure the
- 1:21:58Speaker 7: other ones have some tickets left. But don't wait, because
- 1:22:03Speaker 7: I know I'm going to get a ton of dms
- 1:22:04Speaker 7: from people that are going to be like, dude, you
- 1:22:08Speaker 7: can't swing, you can't swing fifteen more tickets for me
- 1:22:11Speaker 7: and my boys.
- 1:22:12Speaker 10: To come through, And no, I can't. Yeah, because I
- 1:22:14Speaker 10: don't control that.
- 1:22:16Speaker 4: Uh. I'll be in New Brunswick, New Jersey at the
- 1:22:19Speaker 4: Stress Factory on March eighth, and then Providence at the
- 1:22:23Speaker 4: Comedy Connection. I think that's April eighth to the tenth
- 1:22:26Speaker 4: or something like that, ninth to the eleventh. Maybe. I
- 1:22:30Speaker 4: think we're gonna probably have to move that Thursday show
- 1:22:34Speaker 4: to Sunday night. Sorry about that. There's a work conflict.
- 1:22:40Speaker 10: What's your conflict?
- 1:22:41Speaker 4: The mini golf ah that I came last second last.
- 1:22:45Speaker 7: Year Sunday, you know I came in third the first
- 1:22:48Speaker 7: time we did it?
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: Did you and the history books? I wonder why you
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: didn't know?
- 1:22:52Speaker 10: You didn't know this?
- 1:22:53Speaker 7: So we did it the first time we did it?
- 1:22:55Speaker 10: In what mon Talk?
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: Yes?
- 1:22:57Speaker 7: And they so they ship everyone out to mon Talk
- 1:22:59Speaker 7: on buses and we're there for like eight hours the
- 1:23:05Speaker 7: whole day. It was like how many rounds? Was it
- 1:23:07Speaker 7: three rounds?
- 1:23:08Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:23:08Speaker 7: Probably three rounds, So like, I don't know how you
- 1:23:10Speaker 7: guys did it last time, but it was like three rounds.
- 1:23:12Speaker 4: First round, everyone's in a second round.
- 1:23:14Speaker 7: They cut a couple of people. Third round, it's just
- 1:23:16Speaker 7: the top dogs.
- 1:23:17Speaker 10: And round three.
- 1:23:22Speaker 7: I am having I'm birdying, if not like hole in
- 1:23:25Speaker 7: wanting like every single hole. And I was like, in
- 1:23:30Speaker 7: the beginning of that round, I was not even like
- 1:23:31Speaker 7: top five, and then like halfway through that round, I'm
- 1:23:34Speaker 7: in first place, and I'm like, there's really no one
- 1:23:38Speaker 7: I think I had, Like I think like Owen was
- 1:23:40Speaker 7: recording meres.
- 1:23:41Speaker 10: I was like I had like one person recording.
- 1:23:42Speaker 4: And then I'm looking over everyone else and they have
- 1:23:44Speaker 4: like fifteen cameras on them, and I was.
- 1:23:46Speaker 7: Like, I feel like, no one's really like talking about
- 1:23:49Speaker 7: how I'm in first place right now, and like they're
- 1:23:51Speaker 7: carrying spiders carrying around the sign with the rankings. Yeah,
- 1:23:54Speaker 7: I'm nowhere to be seen on the rankings. It's all
- 1:23:57Speaker 7: people that and I'm like I'm yeah, I'm like, hey, guys,
- 1:23:59Speaker 7: I'm I'm winning by the way, it just heads up
- 1:24:01Speaker 7: and I'm winning the game right now. I have three
- 1:24:04Speaker 7: holes left. I'm you know, I have a heavy lead
- 1:24:07Speaker 7: right now, and I end up fucking up on the
- 1:24:10Speaker 7: last hole and I finish and I'm in first. But
- 1:24:15Speaker 7: I was like Frankie and PFT, I think we're right
- 1:24:17Speaker 7: behind me. And I was like, they're both gonna end
- 1:24:19Speaker 7: up beating me. So I come in third place, and
- 1:24:22Speaker 7: then I I they still put it on the board
- 1:24:25Speaker 7: and they have Kirk in third place. Kirk was like
- 1:24:28Speaker 7: five strokes behind me. And the whole time, I'm like,
- 1:24:32Speaker 7: are we gonna fix it? Like I'm talking a hank,
- 1:24:33Speaker 7: I'm like, are we gonna fix this? Like in for
- 1:24:35Speaker 7: the edit and stuff, because it.
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: Was not live.
- 1:24:37Speaker 7: It was like they were gonna make a video out
- 1:24:39Speaker 7: of it. And he was like, yeah, yeah, we're gonna
- 1:24:41Speaker 7: figure it out. And we hand in the cards and
- 1:24:43Speaker 7: then they lost the cards and then they wrote me
- 1:24:45Speaker 7: down his ninth place, damn, and so I placed third.
- 1:24:51Speaker 4: It was I mean, it was.
- 1:24:51Speaker 7: It was literally you could compare it to the Brady
- 1:24:54Speaker 7: come Back twenty eight to three like it was. I
- 1:24:57Speaker 7: was like, I was in like last place going into
- 1:24:59Speaker 7: third round, and I want came in third, and they
- 1:25:02Speaker 7: just got rid of my numbers and put me on
- 1:25:04Speaker 7: ninth place. I don't really know when they never invited
- 1:25:07Speaker 7: me back.
- 1:25:08Speaker 4: I don't really know what you want me to make
- 1:25:09Speaker 4: of that story.
- 1:25:10Speaker 7: Oh, I'm just saying, like, if you go and win,
- 1:25:12Speaker 7: don't be surprised if they throw Kirk ahead of you.
- 1:25:14Speaker 4: Well, it's all live now, so there's no fudging.
- 1:25:17Speaker 7: Yeah, I guess.
- 1:25:18Speaker 4: Also, everything was to the stroke last time. I won
- 1:25:23Speaker 4: ten grand for coming in second.
- 1:25:24Speaker 10: That's cool.
- 1:25:25Speaker 7: I won nothing and then they said I came in ninth.
- 1:25:28Speaker 4: Yeah, but did third place get a prize?
- 1:25:30Speaker 3: No?
- 1:25:30Speaker 7: It kind of reminds me of like when I was
- 1:25:32Speaker 7: on the Yak and we did I did Most Dangerous
- 1:25:36Speaker 7: Game Show and I came in second, and like no
- 1:25:38Speaker 7: one ever really talked about it. And then Stephen Chad
- 1:25:40Speaker 7: did Surviving Barstool like a year later and came in second,
- 1:25:42Speaker 7: and as as a whole, the Yak gave him fifteen
- 1:25:46Speaker 7: thousand dollars for coming in second.
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: Wow.
- 1:25:51Speaker 4: Yeah, I again. You know, we had like a.
- 1:25:54Speaker 7: Slush fund from selling shit on whatnot, and we gave
- 1:25:59Speaker 7: him the whole lush fund for coming in second.
- 1:26:01Speaker 4: I think that you want your cake and eat it too,
- 1:26:05Speaker 4: sometimes where you choose as as minimal of a participation
- 1:26:10Speaker 4: as possible.
- 1:26:11Speaker 7: Look, those are two things that I've placed top three in.
- 1:26:14Speaker 4: And then and then when when you are sort of marginalized,
- 1:26:19Speaker 4: you're like, wait, wait what? Well?
- 1:26:21Speaker 7: I think the truth is. I think I'm a very
- 1:26:23Speaker 7: competitive person, fair enough, and coming in third and then
- 1:26:26Speaker 7: not being shown that you came in third is frustrating,
- 1:26:28Speaker 7: especially as a varsity golfer.
- 1:26:30Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:26:30Speaker 7: I mean I had my whole team watching that live.
- 1:26:33Speaker 7: I had the boys from Tuxbury watching that shit live
- 1:26:35Speaker 7: rooting for me, and then they see I'm in ninth.
- 1:26:38Speaker 7: Do you think that makes me feel?
- 1:26:39Speaker 3: I just.
- 1:26:41Speaker 4: Oh, And is this true? Is everything he's saying true?
- 1:26:46Speaker 7: The golf thing is one thousand percent true? I was,
- 1:26:50Speaker 7: I finished in third.
- 1:26:52Speaker 4: So what really screwed you was losing the cards, because
- 1:26:55Speaker 4: otherwise they would I didn't lose the cars. I'm saying
- 1:26:58Speaker 4: that that was the only that would have exonerated.
- 1:27:02Speaker 7: Your I think they, yes, I didn't think. I don't
- 1:27:05Speaker 7: think they had enough footage of me playing well, and
- 1:27:09Speaker 7: I don't think they cared enough. I think they thought
- 1:27:11Speaker 7: if I came in top three, it wouldn't do as
- 1:27:13Speaker 7: well numbers wise as if Kirk came in top three,
- 1:27:16Speaker 7: which they're probably right, and so they bumped me down
- 1:27:19Speaker 7: to ninth, which it feels a little dramatic. I would
- 1:27:21Speaker 7: have been like fourth, I would have been like, Okay,
- 1:27:24Speaker 7: that's still annoying, but like ninth is like, oh, this
- 1:27:27Speaker 7: was just a guy who played in the tournament.
- 1:27:29Speaker 4: Mm hmmm, not someone who finished top three. I think
- 1:27:32Speaker 4: the only thing that matters is if there had been
- 1:27:35Speaker 4: a proper prize for the position that was taken from you.
- 1:27:39Speaker 7: When is this I'm gonna go.
- 1:27:42Speaker 4: You have to qualify, I will. You need to sign up.
- 1:27:46Speaker 4: I know you're getting the emails.
- 1:27:48Speaker 7: I don't get any emails.
- 1:27:49Speaker 4: Yes you do, you just don't look at them. What's
- 1:27:52Speaker 4: the date?
- 1:27:53Speaker 7: Because I'm going to get in on this.
- 1:27:54Speaker 4: I am not the coordinator. I'm not going to even
- 1:27:56Speaker 4: look up the answer to.
- 1:27:57Speaker 10: That question for you.
- 1:27:58Speaker 7: You know the date you said it was April?
- 1:28:00Speaker 3: What?
- 1:28:00Speaker 4: Oh? Yeah, I think it's uh, you're right. I think
- 1:28:02Speaker 4: it's like April seventh and eighth, something like that, April
- 1:28:06Speaker 4: seventh and eighth in Chicago. But you have to qualify.
- 1:28:09Speaker 7: I got an automatic bit free as a bird for
- 1:28:13Speaker 7: having fished. I'm looking at August eighth for some reason,
- 1:28:17Speaker 7: seventh and.
- 1:28:18Speaker 4: Eighth, something like that. Maybe we fly in the sixth seventh,
- 1:28:22Speaker 4: play the eighth. I'm there. We goin to pass over
- 1:28:24Speaker 4: to You need to qualify for this.
- 1:28:26Speaker 10: What is qualify? I mean I have to try out.
- 1:28:28Speaker 4: You're gonna have to enter through the round robin thing.
- 1:28:32Speaker 7: I'm gonna text Tank and I want to say if I'm.
- 1:28:34Speaker 4: Going to do that, there's an email that you need
- 1:28:37Speaker 4: to respond to, and you may have missed the deadline. Look,
- 1:28:42Speaker 4: when you're top g there is no deadline. Roan, did
- 1:28:46Speaker 4: you get the email?
- 1:28:46Speaker 10: I got the email?
- 1:28:48Speaker 4: Participating in the mini golf thing? The play in you
- 1:28:52Speaker 4: did to qualify, Jake, we all got it. Yeah, we
- 1:28:56Speaker 4: all got it. That's what I thought. You were supposed
- 1:29:00Speaker 4: to have responded by a certain time. The window may
- 1:29:02Speaker 4: still be open. The window was two days ago. There
- 1:29:04Speaker 4: you go.
- 1:29:06Speaker 7: I did not either. You're good.
- 1:29:09Speaker 4: Harry wants to play to.
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: Play content Harry.
- 1:29:15Speaker 7: Now I'm out smoking.
- 1:29:16Speaker 4: There you go. That's it. He's out, all right. Everybody
- 1:29:19Speaker 4: that's son of a boy dad.
- 1:29:20Speaker 7: Please come see me on the road. I'm going to
- 1:29:22Speaker 7: be in Boston. This weekend and then I'm gonna be
- 1:29:24Speaker 7: in Atlanta the weekend after that.
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: You guys are still you guys are still chatting.
- 1:29:27Speaker 7: Oh yeah, we've been gone.
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: Oh nice.
- 1:29:29Speaker 4: She's just been complaining about how he's boned out of
- 1:29:31Speaker 4: third place in a fucking mini golf tournament. That didn't
- 1:29:34Speaker 4: mean anything.
- 1:29:35Speaker 7: Francis, you would have wroten. You would have written a
- 1:29:37Speaker 7: five thousand.
- 1:29:38Speaker 4: Word blog, absolutely, because I like to make as much
- 1:29:41Speaker 4: as I possibly can out of very little for the.
- 1:29:44Speaker 7: Same my job, same people. You don't think people are
- 1:29:46Speaker 7: going to cause ruckers over this.
- 1:29:48Speaker 4: I think that day has come and gone.
- 1:29:51Speaker 7: People are gonna be saying team's ass.
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: Third place got twenty thousand dollars that year. No, first
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: place got fifty, second place got thirty, third place got.
- 1:29:59Speaker 7: To I think first place got like five thousand dollars.
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: So you got cheated out of twenty grand.
- 1:30:04Speaker 4: Damn.
