Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Okay.
- 0:00Speaker 2: My name is Sarah MacLeod from the Super Jesus and
- 0:03Speaker 2: I'm with my good friend to take it away.
- 0:04Speaker 3: Babe Dallas Frasca from the band Dallas Frasca.
- 0:09Speaker 4: Good to see you all.
- 0:11Speaker 5: You sound like you had that rehearsed. It was such
- 0:13Speaker 5: a such a beautiful segue.
- 0:16Speaker 2: Well, you know it's the are you down there? Does
- 0:18Speaker 2: that look right? Might palling at you?
- 0:19Speaker 3: No, I'm I'm up here. If you point up there,
- 0:22Speaker 3: so he's there now the other way? I guess it
- 0:25Speaker 3: doesn't really matter, doesn't It doesn't matter? Okay, okay, And
- 0:30Speaker 3: together we are going to be turned together for the
- 0:34Speaker 3: Green Electric Tour next feb March, trying to achieve a
- 0:38Speaker 3: super old mission tour and inspire lots of other people
- 0:40Speaker 3: to jump on board as well.
- 0:43Speaker 4: Is it the we now died?
- 0:45Speaker 6: Was now I know everything I need to know? That
- 0:47Speaker 6: was perfect? Thanks very much.
- 0:52Speaker 5: So you're here today to talk about, like you say,
- 0:54Speaker 5: the Green Electric Tour, which you will be kicking off
- 0:57Speaker 5: in Aubrey on February the nineteenth and continuing three Victoria Queensland,
- 1:01Speaker 5: South Australia, West Australia, New South Wales Act back to
- 1:05Speaker 5: New South Wales and fishing Newcastle on the fourteenth of March.
- 1:08Speaker 5: So that's a pretty big workload to start off the year.
- 1:11Speaker 5: But I suppose a good way to work off the
- 1:12Speaker 5: festive calories.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Yeah, because we're walking most of the tour. That's the
- 1:18Speaker 2: way to get the correct lower emissions.
- 1:21Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:21Speaker 4: We've got our foot falcons for this one.
- 1:24Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Yeah, So you know they say like, you know, low footprint,
- 1:27Speaker 2: where we really mean it.
- 1:33Speaker 1: We've got supersonic speed just built within Ah No, we're
- 1:37Speaker 1: not really. We have to hire electric cars.
- 1:40Speaker 2: And maybe a train. We're still working on the travel
- 1:43Speaker 2: aspect of it. But it's definitely a minefield. It's a
- 1:47Speaker 2: different way of thinking. It's hard, actually it is.
- 1:50Speaker 3: I think it's I mean, putting a tour together is
- 1:53Speaker 3: you know, it's a massive workload as it is, and
- 1:55Speaker 3: even doing four weeks of touring is huge and the
- 1:58Speaker 3: matrix of that, but it does this is a whole
- 2:01Speaker 3: another element, you know, And I guess maybe like when
- 2:04Speaker 3: we get to the end of it, I think maybe
- 2:06Speaker 3: we would have gone, okay, this is we've sort of
- 2:08Speaker 3: normalized this new thinking around things and it will be easier.
- 2:12Speaker 4: But you know, we we've.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Got the ma shitty out in the jungle at the moment,
- 2:16Speaker 3: we're just kind of figuring things out and there's no
- 2:19Speaker 3: there's no like one perfect way to do it either.
- 2:21Speaker 3: It's like Sarah and I have got a few non
- 2:24Speaker 3: negotiables that just you know, we can't move on with
- 2:27Speaker 3: venues and things like that, and then we're just sort
- 2:29Speaker 3: of piecing things around it.
- 2:30Speaker 4: So we'll make some mistakes along the way.
- 2:33Speaker 3: We'll probably get together end and when we should have
- 2:36Speaker 3: done it that way, and hopefully maybe we'll sort of
- 2:39Speaker 3: walk in that direction afterwards.
- 2:40Speaker 4: But we're learning. We are both definitely learning along the way,
- 2:45Speaker 4: and it's a lot, it's a lot more work than
- 2:48Speaker 4: that you're normal. Yes, we have put our hands on
- 2:53Speaker 4: our face as many times.
- 2:56Speaker 5: So as people can probably guess by listening, are like,
- 2:58Speaker 5: this isn't just another rock like it is a very
- 3:01Speaker 5: bold experiment. There's a much need adventure into sustainable touring.
- 3:05Speaker 5: But there's a lot of people out there, myself included,
- 3:07Speaker 5: that I haven't quite got to grasp on what this
- 3:10Speaker 5: sustainable touring is.
- 3:11Speaker 6: So can you elaborate on that whole concept a bit
- 3:13Speaker 6: for us?
- 3:15Speaker 3: I mean, get it down, Yeah, I mean, I guess
- 3:19Speaker 3: there is no one way to do it, and I
- 3:21Speaker 3: think it's really hard to be sustainable when it comes
- 3:26Speaker 3: to touring within Australia. But I think the biggest thing
- 3:29Speaker 3: that we've learned out of out of this, I mean,
- 3:32Speaker 3: the thing that sort of shocked me the most is
- 3:34Speaker 3: like it's actually the amount of people come to the
- 3:37Speaker 3: shows is where the majority of the carbon footprint happens.
- 3:41Speaker 3: So I guess one of the things that Sarah and
- 3:44Speaker 3: I are going to be doing sort of you know,
- 3:46Speaker 3: on the lead up to the tour, and we already
- 3:48Speaker 3: have been, is like encouraging people to carpool and we've
- 3:51Speaker 3: chosen as well as we could because the matrix are
- 3:54Speaker 3: putting together is all around availabilities and things like that.
- 3:58Speaker 3: But the best we've tried to do is put venues
- 4:01Speaker 3: near public transport so it's easy for people to come,
- 4:04Speaker 3: you know, rock up in those spaces. Also, you know,
- 4:07Speaker 3: you don't need to buy a new outfit to come
- 4:10Speaker 3: to the gig. We're all about sustainable fashion as well.
- 4:13Speaker 3: I mean, it's just I feel like there's this one
- 4:16Speaker 3: dumping ground on some I'm not exactly sure which country
- 4:21Speaker 3: it is, but you can actually see the close waiste
- 4:26Speaker 3: from the moon now, so you know, we just it's
- 4:31Speaker 3: just it is actually just wild. It actually is just wild.
- 4:34Speaker 3: So you know, most of my stuff as much as
- 4:38Speaker 3: I can, except when I'm supporting Venue's got repping Cherry
- 4:41Speaker 3: Bar Tonight out today. Yeah, I try my best to
- 4:45Speaker 3: but you know, I'm not recycling undies.
- 4:48Speaker 4: I'm going to be honest.
- 4:50Speaker 1: I'm glad to throw the line now there's a line.
- 4:55Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Yeah, And we're just really encouraging the people that come
- 4:58Speaker 2: to the gigs to get excited about the niftiness of
- 5:01Speaker 2: this tour and catch public transport and powerful if they
- 5:05Speaker 2: can do that, that that really helps what we're doing
- 5:07Speaker 2: because we're only two people, but we're just trying to
- 5:09Speaker 2: incite conversation and inspire.
- 5:12Speaker 1: So we're doing what we can.
- 5:14Speaker 2: We're you know, having getting rid of single use plastic bottles.
- 5:19Speaker 1: We are doing something with the light bulbs, is that
- 5:22Speaker 1: right down?
- 5:23Speaker 3: Yeah, well we've that was one of the things we
- 5:25Speaker 3: did speak about earlier around you know, I guess like
- 5:29Speaker 3: more sustainable lighting within venues and stuff.
- 5:31Speaker 4: But on our riders we've got.
- 5:34Speaker 3: We' we have requested things around sourcing things from local
- 5:38Speaker 3: local food markets or sourcing local that can be really
- 5:42Speaker 3: really helpful. That's a huge thing lowering the footprint. Also,
- 5:47Speaker 3: we've committed to not eating red meat on the tour,
- 5:50Speaker 3: which is quite a huge, a massive carbon footprint. We
- 5:55Speaker 3: will be we're getting an electric car. That'll be a
- 5:58Speaker 3: fun few days. But we're also wanting to shine a
- 6:02Speaker 3: spotlight on businesses and you know, little benches that are
- 6:07Speaker 3: happening along the road that will stop and have a
- 6:09Speaker 3: chat with and show people options that are out there
- 6:13Speaker 3: that are doing some.
- 6:14Speaker 4: Really great things.
- 6:14Speaker 3: Even our publicist Sammy from Beehive has got this amazing
- 6:19Speaker 3: sustainable skin care range using recycled bottles and things like that.
- 6:23Speaker 4: So it feels good. We've got a really great team involved.
- 6:27Speaker 3: Sarah and I might get on electric scooters around Adelaide
- 6:30Speaker 3: watch out, watch out on the roads when we get
- 6:34Speaker 3: out there and see what we can find, you know,
- 6:36Speaker 3: people who are doing some really cool things sustainably.
- 6:39Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 6:40Speaker 5: Yeah, Now, it's the sort of thing that people always
- 6:43Speaker 5: mention in passing the best of intentions, but unfortunately most
- 6:46Speaker 5: put it in the too high basket straight away and
- 6:48Speaker 5: continue down with tried and through paths.
- 6:50Speaker 6: So I believe this was your eudullas that sort of
- 6:53Speaker 6: came up with the idea, but.
- 6:55Speaker 5: When it become like it's a great idea, but then
- 6:57Speaker 5: when it becomes real and you've actually committed to doing it,
- 7:00Speaker 5: it'd be pretty joyning because it's not like you said before,
- 7:03Speaker 5: it's not just a matter of book of the shows.
- 7:04Speaker 6: Now you've got to think outside the basket.
- 7:07Speaker 3: Look, I'm glad you're acknowledging that, because it's fucking massive nightmare.
- 7:12Speaker 3: It's massive, And I guess the thing that we're sort
- 7:15Speaker 3: of doing at the moment, we're just doing things step
- 7:17Speaker 3: by step.
- 7:18Speaker 4: That's the only way you can do. And it's with
- 7:19Speaker 4: any kind of big project.
- 7:21Speaker 3: You just have to sort of focus on the task
- 7:23Speaker 3: ahead and get that done and then the next one,
- 7:25Speaker 3: and and just be talking about those kind of things specifically.
- 7:29Speaker 4: I mean, it's Sarah and I.
- 7:30Speaker 3: You know, well, it'll be us and we've got and
- 7:34Speaker 3: we're playing with a drummer each and then jumping up
- 7:36Speaker 3: on stage together, you know, with double drumas at the
- 7:39Speaker 3: end of the show, which will be really cool. But
- 7:41Speaker 3: so there's a few more people and just figuring out
- 7:43Speaker 3: the matrix around that stuff. I guess the thing is
- 7:47Speaker 3: is you can't be you just can't.
- 7:49Speaker 4: Be perfect because you know, if.
- 7:52Speaker 3: You're getting from Perth to Woollongong and you've got you know,
- 7:58Speaker 3: two days to get there, then you do have to
- 8:01Speaker 3: jump on a plane and then and then in that case,
- 8:04Speaker 3: we'll do the carbon offset and we're going to sort
- 8:07Speaker 3: of like measure what our carbon footprint is at the
- 8:11Speaker 3: end of the end of the tour and sort of
- 8:14Speaker 3: be like, wow, you know that's probably you're going to.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Make it to put this in a spreadsheet and make
- 8:20Speaker 1: a bar graph.
- 8:21Speaker 3: And it's going to be there's going to be you
- 8:23Speaker 3: want bars, I'll get your bars.
- 8:24Speaker 2: It's how christy. You see how organized Dallas is. She's
- 8:29Speaker 2: got a spreadsheet for this, to spreadsheet for that, she's
- 8:31Speaker 2: got a million live doc humans that that you she
- 8:35Speaker 2: goes get in the document and you get in there,
- 8:36Speaker 2: she's already in there and you can see her like typing.
- 8:39Speaker 2: I've never worked with anyone so efficient. It's it's it's
- 8:43Speaker 2: actually annoying. I'm like, man, just leave me alone. And
- 8:46Speaker 2: we're supposed to be vague. No way we're making this work.
- 8:49Speaker 3: She's good and it is good and it's really I
- 8:53Speaker 3: will say as well, like it's been awesome, Like working.
- 8:56Speaker 3: I think Sarah and I in our own, you know,
- 8:59Speaker 3: our own little world. We're sort of, you know, our
- 9:01Speaker 3: own bosses in that space, and it's been really nice
- 9:04Speaker 3: kind of figuring out, you know, what each other's strengths are,
- 9:08Speaker 3: and stepping back in spaces and stepping forward when we
- 9:11Speaker 3: need to. It's actually been really cool. And I mean
- 9:13Speaker 3: the tour is going to be heaps of fun. And
- 9:16Speaker 3: I mean, should we talk about should we talk a
- 9:18Speaker 3: little bit about that, Sarah, Like what we're kind of
- 9:20Speaker 3: working on in the background, what maybe what this is
- 9:23Speaker 3: hit for?
- 9:25Speaker 2: Oh?
- 9:26Speaker 1: Yeah, I think you said that you were You've done
- 9:28Speaker 1: the vocals.
- 9:29Speaker 4: Listen, I retracked the vote.
- 9:31Speaker 3: I mean I retracked the guitars and got super inspired.
- 9:35Speaker 3: So I will send you that through that. We're having
- 9:37Speaker 3: a business meeting Chris any opportunity we get.
- 9:39Speaker 2: Okay, Yeah, we're bringing out a single and it's fucking
- 9:44Speaker 2: cool and Dallas wrote it and it's fucking sick.
- 9:48Speaker 6: Tell us more, tell us more.
- 9:50Speaker 4: Well, I guess it's.
- 9:52Speaker 3: I mean, I guess it's an environmental song. I don't
- 9:57Speaker 3: know how much we should say about it, Sarah, like,
- 9:59Speaker 3: I mean, maybe you can talk on it a bit
- 10:01Speaker 3: more what you're open to sharing about it.
- 10:04Speaker 2: I just think that it's it's a stamp, it's a
- 10:09Speaker 2: steak in the sand of of how we feel about
- 10:13Speaker 2: this where we're at, and we need to leave behind
- 10:16Speaker 2: something more than just this tour. So the song, which
- 10:19Speaker 2: will now be there forever, is quite heavy and dark
- 10:22Speaker 2: and moving. Like I was like, oh, okay, you know,
- 10:27Speaker 2: when she was talking about writing a song, I started
- 10:29Speaker 2: joining out some ideas and like mine were Mine were
- 10:32Speaker 2: sort of more poppy and hers are like quite harrowing.
- 10:36Speaker 1: In the performance and in the lyrics. And it really.
- 10:41Speaker 2: Made me get nervous about what's happening with the world,
- 10:45Speaker 2: but in a really catchy, let's rock kind of fashion. Yeah,
- 10:50Speaker 2: And interestingly, she was saying to me, let's still sing it,
- 10:52Speaker 2: and I was like, no, no, it's not. It's too
- 10:54Speaker 2: much with this tour is really full on, and then
- 10:58Speaker 2: you want to like do it to release a single
- 10:59Speaker 2: as well as much work, like let's not do it
- 11:01Speaker 2: tw well, just say you know, I already wrote one,
- 11:04Speaker 2: and I was like, oh no, God. And before she
- 11:09Speaker 2: before she played it to me, I was like, just
- 11:11Speaker 2: you know, play it to me. But I just I
- 11:13Speaker 2: really don't think that we should do a single as well.
- 11:15Speaker 1: It's just too much.
- 11:16Speaker 2: And she was like, okay, so, but to play it
- 11:17Speaker 2: to me anyway, but don't be offended if I say
- 11:19Speaker 2: I don't want to do it.
- 11:20Speaker 1: She's like, all right, you play to me. Ah, we're
- 11:23Speaker 1: totally doing that. Can we not do it?
- 11:26Speaker 6: Great?
- 11:27Speaker 3: Well, I said, I always when I mean, sometimes these
- 11:29Speaker 3: little songs strike, you know, very rarely, but sometimes they strike.
- 11:33Speaker 3: And I think when we were talking about I said
- 11:35Speaker 3: to her, I said to Sarah, if I totally respect,
- 11:38Speaker 3: because everything is so busy and Sarah's got other stuff
- 11:42Speaker 3: going on as I do and everything, and I just said,
- 11:44Speaker 3: if you don't want to, if you don't want to
- 11:46Speaker 3: release it, it's tilely fine, but I'm definitely going to
- 11:49Speaker 3: because it's sometimes these little songs pop along. So the
- 11:52Speaker 3: really cool thing is, I think, is Sarah and I
- 11:55Speaker 3: have the I guess, the skill set.
- 11:58Speaker 4: It's not just you know, these chicks that get up
- 12:01Speaker 4: on stage.
- 12:01Speaker 3: There's lots of here we go, we've got puppies, puppy
- 12:07Speaker 3: at the door.
- 12:08Speaker 4: No, now we're all here.
- 12:11Speaker 1: This is spooky, spooky.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:15Speaker 3: So we've also recorded everything remotely, so Sarah and I've
- 12:19Speaker 3: sort of been sending ideas back and forwards, and we've
- 12:21Speaker 3: got our drummer to send stuff through remotely. But yeah,
- 12:27Speaker 3: it's all sort of coming together now. I'm just putting
- 12:29Speaker 3: the final pieces to the puzzle, which we're going to
- 12:31Speaker 3: send us Sarah, and then tomorrow we're going to make
- 12:34Speaker 3: a film clip.
- 12:34Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 12:35Speaker 3: Fantastic, Yeah, crazy, awesome.
- 12:41Speaker 5: If I may be as bold as off, and when
- 12:43Speaker 5: it's ready to come out, I'm heavy would be on
- 12:46Speaker 5: its premiere for you.
- 12:47Speaker 6: We'll give you a free premier and we'll sort of
- 12:49Speaker 6: together the word out.
- 12:50Speaker 5: I'll send you an email Sarah with some ideas, but
- 12:52Speaker 5: if you want to send me through some teeser and
- 12:54Speaker 5: stuff as you go, I'll socials with them and we'll
- 12:57Speaker 5: get a bit of hype up going and more premiere
- 12:58Speaker 5: on the day and.
- 13:01Speaker 1: From turf like, thank you, that's awesome, Thanks Chris, amazing.
- 13:06Speaker 6: At least I could do. You girls are out there
- 13:08Speaker 6: doing the hard stuff. I just got to press you button.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 13:13Speaker 5: But there's a great quote from you in the presson
- 13:16Speaker 5: release there where you say if rock and roll can't
- 13:19Speaker 5: lead the charge for change, what can? Like that one
- 13:22Speaker 5: statement should be put on a T shirt and sold
- 13:24Speaker 5: the finance to reckon.
- 13:26Speaker 4: That much idea.
- 13:29Speaker 1: That's true.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Actually, well yeah, it's just like to get things to stick,
- 13:32Speaker 2: you've got to get them into pop culture, you know,
- 13:35Speaker 2: like what it's it's things don't stick.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Information hits us all the time.
- 13:38Speaker 2: But to make it like this, to make it something
- 13:42Speaker 2: that that people feel like they can get involved in.
- 13:45Speaker 2: If it's in pop culture, then it's in part of
- 13:47Speaker 2: their world, and it's it's not just something that's in
- 13:50Speaker 2: the news. You know, when it when it becomes into
- 13:52Speaker 2: into art, it's just easier to it's easier to hang
- 13:56Speaker 2: your hat on, it's easier to follow, it's easier to
- 13:59Speaker 2: be involved in it. So rock and roll has always
- 14:03Speaker 2: been a really powerful tool to lead charge with any
- 14:07Speaker 2: change because it's it's just the quickest way to get
- 14:10Speaker 2: in here. You can say all you want. As soon
- 14:13Speaker 2: as you put it to music, people go, oh the
- 14:17Speaker 2: system and ship.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:20Speaker 6: So true.
- 14:21Speaker 5: I'm actually going to backtrack here because I didn't ask
- 14:23Speaker 5: God you were going to call this song.
- 14:25Speaker 6: You've got to. You've got to tell me that otherwise
- 14:26Speaker 6: I'm not going to be able to sleep. And you
- 14:28Speaker 6: said it, Jimmy, it's out.
- 14:30Speaker 4: Well, it's called till it's gone.
- 14:33Speaker 3: So I guess the chorus line is is been inspired
- 14:39Speaker 3: by by Joni Mitchell song and sort of I guess
- 14:44Speaker 3: like taken into where we are at the moment, which
- 14:48Speaker 3: so the chorus line is, I don't know what I've
- 14:50Speaker 3: got till it's gone.
- 14:52Speaker 4: So that is our chorus, and it's don't.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Know what you've got till it's gone, don't know what
- 14:56Speaker 1: you've got.
- 14:57Speaker 3: So I've got a wanger out of accent, so I
- 14:59Speaker 3: just slur many words as we go.
- 15:03Speaker 4: That's what it is.
- 15:07Speaker 6: So we've revealed this is really nice nice. Well, I'm
- 15:10Speaker 6: not going to push you any further on it because we've
- 15:11Speaker 6: got to leave a little bit of mispeak in there.
- 15:13Speaker 6: But I'm back on the tour. I know she hasn't.
- 15:16Speaker 5: Actually started yet. But what sorts of things do you
- 15:19Speaker 5: hope will come out of what usually doing with the
- 15:21Speaker 5: green electric shure?
- 15:23Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, look what I mean in my heart,
- 15:27Speaker 3: I generally want to put a bit more heat on everything.
- 15:33Speaker 4: I mean, there's just so much happening on the planet, and.
- 15:37Speaker 3: I guess we are all in these in these crazy climates.
- 15:42Speaker 3: Things are not the same as what they were twenty
- 15:44Speaker 3: years ago. When we were growing up bushfires and floods
- 15:47Speaker 3: and extreme heats and things like that.
- 15:49Speaker 4: So I guess.
- 15:53Speaker 3: We just have this platform to get out there and
- 15:55Speaker 3: do stuff. We hope you inspire. I guess like small changes.
- 15:59Speaker 3: So maybe inspire other bands to make sure that they
- 16:03Speaker 3: know what's on their rider. Bring some fucking water bottles
- 16:06Speaker 3: onto it, ask for refillable water stations, no single use
- 16:10Speaker 3: plastic plastics, try and its touring is expensive and I think.
- 16:18Speaker 4: And wasteful and it can be really wasteful as well.
- 16:22Speaker 3: So look, we're hoping to create some wider conversations. We
- 16:27Speaker 3: want to talk to people like Music Victoria and we're
- 16:31Speaker 3: also teaming up with Green Music Australia at the moment
- 16:33Speaker 3: and things like getting budget or getting funding around putting
- 16:40Speaker 3: extra backline in venues because that can be such a
- 16:43Speaker 3: you know a huge carbon footprint when you you've got
- 16:46Speaker 3: to go and get the one tana, you've got to
- 16:48Speaker 3: chuck the trailer on the back. Someone else has got
- 16:51Speaker 3: to get an extra car to go and get the gear,
- 16:53Speaker 3: bring it back over if they were just sitting in
- 16:55Speaker 3: venues then you know, so we're talking about you know,
- 16:59Speaker 3: getting behind mind, you know, spend in that space, so
- 17:03Speaker 3: some yeah, some funds from whatever body, and also things
- 17:09Speaker 3: like a reduction in I guess, you know, to reward
- 17:14Speaker 3: musicians who are potentially traveling on trains or things like that.
- 17:18Speaker 3: I mean currently you sort of put to when we
- 17:22Speaker 3: were sort of putting the budget together, Sarah and I
- 17:24Speaker 3: were looking at all different aspects of it, and even
- 17:26Speaker 3: a train it's fucking expensive. And then where do you
- 17:30Speaker 3: store all your gear if you want to try and
- 17:32Speaker 3: do the right thing when you've got shit everywhere. And
- 17:35Speaker 3: then things like again if you go back to their
- 17:38Speaker 3: being backline in the venue, you know, and obviously that's
- 17:41Speaker 3: different for everybody. You know, people have got endorsements and
- 17:44Speaker 3: things like that. But I don't know, I think just
- 17:47Speaker 3: small little changes. I really hope that it might even
- 17:51Speaker 3: you know, encourage fans to carpl together, get some groups
- 17:56Speaker 3: together and go, hey, this actually does have.
- 18:00Speaker 4: A meaningful impact.
- 18:02Speaker 3: So just creating small conversations, because you know, you can
- 18:04Speaker 3: go out and want to change the world and we
- 18:07Speaker 3: know exactly where that's got everyone at the moment. So
- 18:10Speaker 3: I think like making small changes in your own camp,
- 18:13Speaker 3: you know, around your own home, things like touring, and
- 18:17Speaker 3: then you know, the tribe that you connect with out there,
- 18:20Speaker 3: those kind of things, I guess.
- 18:21Speaker 2: Yeah, And you know, and even if at very least
- 18:24Speaker 2: if the conversations lead to people stopping using single use
- 18:29Speaker 2: water bottles, like even just that if they start using
- 18:33Speaker 2: these things. I started that at the beginning of this
- 18:35Speaker 2: when I saw what the water bottles were doing.
- 18:37Speaker 1: That's just a really small thing, and it's it's not
- 18:40Speaker 1: that hard to change.
- 18:42Speaker 2: And sometimes you can't because you're on the run and
- 18:43Speaker 2: you don't have this, and you know, you would quickly
- 18:45Speaker 2: get a drink like fair.
- 18:46Speaker 1: But if your general go to is to try and.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Use these, if a lot of people started doing that,
- 18:53Speaker 2: that would just that in itself would make a huge difference.
- 18:56Speaker 2: So it's just it's just if we talk about it enough,
- 18:58Speaker 2: if people make tiny little chain just here and there,
- 19:00Speaker 2: then we know that we've done something right.
- 19:03Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, fantastic. Now that's all well and good. What
- 19:07Speaker 6: used to doing with that side of things.
- 19:09Speaker 5: But people are going to come along with the music
- 19:11Speaker 5: as well, So tell us the other night's going to
- 19:13Speaker 5: be structured. He's doing a set each and then getting
- 19:16Speaker 5: chopping up together as a whole lot together, like you've
- 19:18Speaker 5: got two drummers that have only been referred to as
- 19:21Speaker 5: thundrous drummers who haven't even been identified yet, Like.
- 19:24Speaker 6: What's going on there?
- 19:25Speaker 1: Yeah, yep, yeah, so that's exactly right.
- 19:29Speaker 2: We're going to do a set each and then a
- 19:31Speaker 2: set together with the two drummers, and I'm taking mix Skelton,
- 19:35Speaker 2: who is the drama that I used to play with
- 19:37Speaker 2: years ago. He and I toured together for about six
- 19:40Speaker 2: years as a duo, and then he joined the Baby
- 19:44Speaker 2: Animals and now he plays with everyone, and I have
- 19:50Speaker 2: managed to find a gap where he's not drumming with
- 19:54Speaker 2: someone else and he's going to come and play with us.
- 19:56Speaker 1: So I'm pretty excited about that.
- 19:58Speaker 3: But I'm playing with my dear friend in Josh Barber,
- 20:01Speaker 3: who I randomly met when I was making my record,
- 20:05Speaker 3: the last one I've just put out, and I ended
- 20:08Speaker 3: up in his little church in Mulling where we're going
- 20:10Speaker 3: to be making the film clip tomorrow, Sarah. But we
- 20:14Speaker 3: I met him and we just, you know, we fell
- 20:17Speaker 3: in love with each other and he's just a really
- 20:20Speaker 3: dear friend of mine and he's been on the road.
- 20:21Speaker 4: I actually haven't played with him for about a year.
- 20:23Speaker 3: Because I've been doing a lot of solo stuff, but
- 20:26Speaker 3: we'll be looking forward to getting together and it's going
- 20:28Speaker 3: to be a pretty awesome crew.
- 20:30Speaker 5: Yeah, with themselves. Tickets to these shows and find out
- 20:34Speaker 5: more information.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Our website.
- 20:39Speaker 2: Yeah, we're gonna Well there's Sarah MacLeod official dot com
- 20:43Speaker 2: and what's yours called.
