  [SPEAKER_00]: There's one or two that might be more season long X factors than really this weekend X factors, but we're gonna get into it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If they play their best, if they play to their ceiling within the offensive and defensive systems that are in place in Jacksonville, it could really elevate this football team in a big way.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It is the Walter Peyton Man of the Year Eric Armstead and Mason Smith in the middle for this Jaguar's defense of front because if these two players and Eric Armstead,

  [SPEAKER_00]: Prior to last year was one of the best interior defensive linemen, interior defensive pass rushers in the NFL for a number of years, last half decade.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Jaguar started kicking them outside, played defensive end.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know what the hell they're thinking.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I was like, yeah, you can do that in base if you want to stop the run, but like, no, that's not what you're doing to try to heat up the passer.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You need an air grump to drive on Walker and freaking Josh Hines out on the field at the same time.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They didn't want to do that, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: And Wilson didn't want to do that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But Eric Rumsett is kicking inside this year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You're going to see him on the field with those guys.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You're also going to see Mason Smith on the field more.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You see that with a little injury last year that kept him out some, but he also just had the jack was deciding not to utilize him very much.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think it was like a, you know, the pissing contest between the coaching staff and the front office honestly.

  [SPEAKER_00]: no good explanation for it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So these two guys have the ability to really penetrate, disrupt the backfield, both against the run and the pass.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And if they can play close to their potential, close to their ceiling, with Josh Hines Island and Trayman Walker on the edge, that is going to really give the Jaguars one of the most dangerous defensive fronts in the NFL.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then you look at the depth, the depth is strong up front.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The jaguars have good depth at most spots, which is something you haven't really been able to sail that frequently around here.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But Eric Armstrong's dead in Mason Smith, those are my number one and number two X factors.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Eric Armstrong's dead is more of an X factor for me because, you know, you only need one of these guys to hit big to really have, you know, you know,

  [SPEAKER_00]: a scorched earth defensive front.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But if they both hit big, I mean, yeah, that's amazing.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But if Eric Rarmstein just plays the way we know he can play on the interior and not coming off of a, you know, off season surgery, that's, that's big, that's huge.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Either of those guys though, if they, they can really heat up the quarterback from the interior, push the pocket, that's going to be just chef's kiss for that defensive front.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Britain's strange slash passcatcher three.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think Britain's strange is an ex-factor because if he's getting get more opportunity this year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And he's gotten opportunity, you know, throughout his young career, but Evan Anger has been the starter, but you know, yeah, Evan Anger had injuries last year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But Britain's strange, I just think,

  [SPEAKER_00]: When I look at the Jaguar skill position players, specifically the past catchers, the wide receivers and the tight ends, the guys out there running routes from the line of scrimmage.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Not including the running backs there, a whole another ball game, and we're gonna talk about the running backs a little bit.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But Britain's strange to me is the most talented and the guy that embodies the Jaguar is kind of culture, of being skilled, but also being physical and gritty and tough.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He among the past catchers, to me is the third most talented guy.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The third most, we need to build around this guy, type of guy.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's a talented receiver.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's explosive athlete, he's strong.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He has real balance or has the potential to have a real balance to his game as someone who you want on the field every single play because he can move around the formation.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He can block from a lot of different spots.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He can catch passes out of the back field.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He can catch passes from, you know, lining up at the,

  [SPEAKER_00]: You know, on the line of scrimmage from lining up in the slot, I just think Britain's strange has that ability to potentially be like, again, the third option in the Jaguar's passing attack very consistently.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And again, somebody who helps in the run game a lot.

  [SPEAKER_00]: in the screen game and the jet sweep game and all these things, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I just like Britain Strange and his skill set and his attitude, his violence, his physicality on the football field and the skill, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's not just that he's this mallar out there in space, it's that he's got soft hands, he's got explosive route running ability, all these things.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I'm excited to see Britain Strange, but also just past Ketra 3 in general, because

  [SPEAKER_00]: There will be weeks where he's not your best matchup necessarily as a past catcher.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So past catcher is three.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You have different options, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: You have Parker Washington who is strong and built like a running back, but undersized.

  [SPEAKER_00]: can make plays you have deami brown who's this speed threat who has experience in the league who has really taken to this offense and fit this offense like a glove from the ability to push push down the field vertically but also be a threat in the screen game and take jet sweeps.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We've seen that and then Tim Patrick is well thrown in there as someone who is this big body more possession receiver and

  [SPEAKER_00]: True veteran has been through a lot to get here.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's a really good blocker.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So you have different options.

  [SPEAKER_00]: If those pieces can fit together and be utilized the right way at the right time, by Liam Cohen, they can really help this offense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Um, my next one is flipping sides of the ball, the safeties, the safeties are a big X factor because you have like different levels to it, like our Eric Murray and Andrew Winger going to be a net negative for the Jaguars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think that's in the range of possibilities.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think it's also possible they could be net neutral.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I also think it's possible they could be a positive.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Like I really don't know and so much of it is going to come down to their communication, their confidence, their understanding of the scheme, the deployment by Anthony Campanylight of these two guys.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You've seen both of them have really good weeks and really good games, but you haven't seen either of them consistently maintain great play or good play throughout a given season or throughout their careers, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: Eric Murray's almost 32 years old, Andrew Winger's been here since 2019 as a former undrafted free agent.

  [SPEAKER_00]: This is a big opportunity for these guys to kind of submit themselves in as starters on this roster.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Eric Murray signed a three-year deal.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Andrew Wingard can submit himself as a starter in this league if these guys play at their peak.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But again, I also think it's possible that you see inconsistencies, that you see a safety group that you're really like, damn, I wish we had Caleb Ransal.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Damn, I wish we took another safety in the draft, you know, I know they got around laying, but you know, before the six round,

  [SPEAKER_00]: Damn, I wish we signed, Justin Reed, or our guy who went up to the New York Giants, right?

  [SPEAKER_00]: From Miami, don't know why I'm drawing a blank on his name right now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But Javan Holland, the guys like that, you know, guys with a little bit more star power, a little bit more upside, a little bit more consistency potentially.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So these are X-factor, the safety play, both against the run and the pass is a big, big X-factor for me.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't have any idea which way it will go.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Cam little X-factor, just like...

  [SPEAKER_00]: If he can hit these long kicks at the end of halves, I mean, you could potentially be talking about a six point swing every single game if you give him that late half opportunity from anywhere on the field inside of 70 yards.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So that's pretty cool.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the Jaguars were in 13, 1 score games last year, there were 3 and 10.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That's what you're talking about right there.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the ability to change the math a little bit.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Cam little can do that at the end of the half, both in the end of the first half and the end of the game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So Cam little is definitely an X-factor for me if he can start making some of those kicks in the regular season.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then Tyson Campbell, I mean, what can you say?

  [SPEAKER_00]: When he's healthy, he's good, really good, tough to stay healthy for him.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's even saw it during this training camp in pre-season, missed time.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And so like the last two years, he's missed a lot of time.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And when he has returned from those injuries, he hasn't quite been the guy you expect him to be because he's battling through the injuries, not quite himself.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But Tyson Campbell is only 25 years old, okay?

  [SPEAKER_00]: And the one time he's played a full season.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He was among the best corners and football that year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And that was when the Jaguars were playing more his own defense, they're gonna be playing more his own defense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: This year, stay healthy, and the sky's the limit, honestly, for Tyson Campbell, but that's the X-factor.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You just hope you can get there.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And they have other options.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Travis Hunter can play more corner.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Jarian Jones can play corner.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But Tyson Campbell being out there and being healthy just has, you know, outside of Travis Hunter, the most potential to help the Jaguars win games at the corner of Xbox, and he's a really good run to Fender 2 to boot, brings it against the run, final one.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to talk about here, and there will be other kind of ex-factors that we'll be talking about the rest of the week when we talk about like keys to victory and match up to watch and all that type of stuff, but these are the ones I really wanted to hit on here today.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Basel Tutan, and this is the one that's really not about tomorrow, or a specific week, I keep saying tomorrow.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Sunday, 1pm, Everbank, Stadium, the Bank, against the Carolina Panthers.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Basial Tutan, if he can live up to his potential, he can be the best of Travis ETN and the best of tank pigs being the best of Liquan Allen, all in one player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And if you can get that player, he can be your lead back.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Because he's got the speed, he's got the juice, the wiggle.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's got better vision than certainly tank pigs be your Travis ETN.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's got hands out of the backfield.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's got low center of gravity.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He keeps those legs churning.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He gives you the ability to pick up extra yards, fighting for yards, fighting through contact, four-three speed, legit four-three speed, break away home run threat potential.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So if he can not fumble the ball, which he did a good bit at Virginia Tech, which you haven't really seen here in Jacksonville yet, his first snap, yeah, he had a little snap through there, but since then it's been very clean for basial.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The sky is the limit with his skill set to me in A, Liam Cohen offense, but it's about, you know, getting the trust of the coaching staff to put you out there, because look, they have no ties to Tank Biggs beer, Travis ETN, Travis ETN, he's gonna be free to head to this season.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Tank Biggs B is going into year three.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So, 2026 is his last year under contract, they have basal under contract.

  [SPEAKER_00]: through 20, 20, eight, like this is the guy that I want to build around, him and Lequen Allen.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Lequen Allen is much more specific role player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think Bacial can be a really dynamic lead back, not really workhorse necessarily, because he doesn't have, I don't think that that size really to be a 20, 25 carrier game every single week type of guy.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I do think he has, you know, the ability to be the lead back.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And if he can be that and be more balanced than tank bigsbee who struggles in the past game or Travis ETN who is inconsistent as a runner, that could be huge for this team.
