- 0:25Speaker 1: It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh
- 0:30Speaker 1: with us inside the Treehouse. I'm Dan ol Maley along
- 0:33Speaker 1: with Trey Trenholm and Raj Sharma. Welcome to our Treehouse
- 0:38Speaker 1: YouTube exclusive. Thank you for joining us. People love true crime,
- 0:47Speaker 1: but we're into a different version of it here inside
- 0:50Speaker 1: the Treehouse. True crime but stupid. Example, a drunk driver
- 0:57Speaker 1: claimed her husband was driving, but he wasn't even in
- 1:03Speaker 1: the car.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Was it Jesus? Was it Jesus? And he dipped the wheel?
- 1:15Speaker 1: No surprise. This happened in Florida. A twenty four year
- 1:19Speaker 1: old woman in Tampa got arrested after she count the
- 1:23Speaker 1: infractions here, let's count how many laws she broke up
- 1:26Speaker 1: to and including her claiming it was her husband that
- 1:30Speaker 1: was driving, not her. Okay, twenty four year old woman
- 1:34Speaker 1: in Tampa got arrested after she drove the wrong way
- 1:38Speaker 1: on the interstate sideswiped a police car, and then claimed
- 1:45Speaker 1: her husband was the one driving. But it was obvious
- 1:48Speaker 1: that he wasn't driving because he wasn't even there.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Oh, Florida Tuesdays, I.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Mean that's at least three right there. This happened just
- 2:01Speaker 1: after two thirty in the morning on Saturday, so not
- 2:03Speaker 1: a Tuesday, but it wouldn't be surprising had it been.
- 2:06Speaker 1: They released a bodycam footage and she was definitely out
- 2:10Speaker 1: of it. She was doing sixty on the shoulder, going
- 2:13Speaker 1: the wrong directions. Now I'm up to four different infractions here,
- 2:21Speaker 1: and then she wouldn't pull over. That could be five
- 2:23Speaker 1: if they decided to include resisting. Then she sideswiped the
- 2:29Speaker 1: police car when it got in her way, which I
- 2:31Speaker 1: hope to God she told the officer that's not my fault.
- 2:34Speaker 1: You got in the.
- 2:35Speaker 3: Way, And somehow I'm gonna guess she didn't stop when
- 2:39Speaker 3: she sideswiped the officer.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Probably not.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Uh. After she sideswiped the car which got in her way,
- 2:48Speaker 1: then a cop behind her did the pit maneuver and
- 2:51Speaker 1: then they were able to box her in, so no tray.
- 2:53Speaker 1: She did not stop after she sideswiped a cop car.
- 2:56Speaker 1: It took another cop car to gently pull her over
- 2:59Speaker 1: by doing a Pittman. Once she was out of the car,
- 3:04Speaker 1: they asked if she realized she was going the wrong
- 3:07Speaker 1: way on the interstate. On the interstate, and she said
- 3:11Speaker 1: this interstate. That may be one of the most female responses.
- 3:18Speaker 2: I've ever heard.
- 3:18Speaker 1: And she hasn't even blamed her husband yet.
- 3:22Speaker 4: But you have to give her credit. She's twenty four,
- 3:24Speaker 4: is that what you said? I mean, for someone that
- 3:27Speaker 4: young to be this creative, you got to you gotta
- 3:31Speaker 4: give her credit.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Oh, she's definitely a storyteller. When drinking. That's when she
- 3:38Speaker 1: tried to claim it was her husband that was driving,
- 3:41Speaker 1: and it almost seemed like she truly believed it, but
- 3:44Speaker 1: they knew it wasn't true because she was the only
- 3:47Speaker 1: person in the car. She eventually admitted she'd been drinking
- 3:51Speaker 1: and said she had three full drinks. They breathalyzed her
- 3:59Speaker 1: and she was more than twice the legal limit. She's
- 4:01Speaker 1: now facing multiple charges. I counted at least five. What
- 4:04Speaker 1: about you, guys?
- 4:06Speaker 2: I counted six? Okay, six?
- 4:07Speaker 3: All right.
- 4:09Speaker 1: She's facing multiple charges for driving under the influence, aggravated
- 4:13Speaker 1: fleeing to elude, and fleeing at a high speed, which
- 4:18Speaker 1: makes you then wonder, is there a separate aggravated fleeing,
- 4:23Speaker 1: Like if there's aggravated fleeing to elude, is there a
- 4:27Speaker 1: different aggravated fleeing.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Yes, I think that would be her I think that
- 4:32Speaker 2: would be her husband.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Like aggravated fleeing for funzies, I mean aggravated and fleeing.
- 4:41Speaker 2: It's what her husband is going to be doing.
- 4:45Speaker 1: He is packing up with a big old smise like
- 4:47Speaker 1: thank you guys, this is the best day of my life.
- 4:51Speaker 1: And then fleeing at a high speed versus fleeing at
- 4:55Speaker 1: a low speed. I do think there needs to be
- 4:58Speaker 1: a degree of those h charges, Like when it comes
- 5:03Speaker 1: like we have different you know, levels of state jail
- 5:06Speaker 1: felonies in Texas. Misdemeanors are different levels. Felonies at the
- 5:12Speaker 1: federal level are different levels. You know, you've got a
- 5:15Speaker 1: B and C and one, two and three. I feel
- 5:18Speaker 1: like if you're fleeing at a low speed, that should
- 5:21Speaker 1: be a lesser charge, whereas if you're fleeing at a
- 5:24Speaker 1: high speed that should be, you know, an elevated charge.
- 5:27Speaker 2: What if you're fleeing on cruise control, that's the b.
- 5:38Speaker 1: That's right there in the middle with the feed up
- 5:42Speaker 1: on the dash, just kicking it. That's that's fleeing in
- 5:50Speaker 1: a low rider. Oh god. It really is a fascinating
- 5:56Speaker 1: It really does. It makes you think it's just like,
- 6:00Speaker 1: are the husband's not even there and she still tries
- 6:04Speaker 1: to blame him for it.
- 6:07Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean pretty smart for twenty four year olds.
- 6:13Speaker 4: This generation I wouldn't think would be that quick witted
- 6:16Speaker 4: under the influence.
- 6:18Speaker 1: You do bring up a good point. This might be
- 6:20Speaker 1: the smartest and stupidest gen z there is, because doing
- 6:26Speaker 1: all these things in the first place bad and illegal. However,
- 6:31Speaker 1: the things that she says afterwards, it's pretty great. If
- 6:34Speaker 1: you're right, it is witty. Sorry, ma'am. Did you realize
- 6:37Speaker 1: you were going the wrong way the interstate? Best when
- 6:41Speaker 1: you realize you hit a cop car he got in
- 6:44Speaker 1: my way?
- 6:45Speaker 2: Yep.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Also, I'm not driving, my husband did.
- 6:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:51Speaker 4: They'd like to put blame on everything else except themselves.
- 6:54Speaker 4: I've witnessed that.
- 6:56Speaker 1: And that is the seventh charge. Refusal to accept accountability.
- 7:04Speaker 3: Yes, oh, you'd never rest half the women in the country.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Lucky number seven. Yeah, so true crime, but stupid. Example
- 7:20Speaker 1: number two, Trey, I want to ask you to please
- 7:25Speaker 1: keep your romantic revelations somewhat bridled as I work through
- 7:30Speaker 1: this story. Okay, okay, a woman has been accused of
- 7:34Speaker 1: hitting her boyfriend in the head with a hatchet while
- 7:36Speaker 1: he was asleep. I know you're going to get aroused, Trey,
- 7:40Speaker 1: because you love you a crazy woman, and I don't
- 7:43Speaker 1: know if you've ever enjoyed the pleasures of a hatchet
- 7:47Speaker 1: wielding crazy woman. That might be one notch in your
- 7:50Speaker 1: bedpost you have not made yet, So just please hang
- 7:55Speaker 1: in there while they work my way through this particular story.
- 8:00Speaker 1: In Fargo, North Dakota, a woman has been charged with
- 8:03Speaker 1: attempted murder after allegedly hitting her boyfriend with a hatchet
- 8:06Speaker 1: while he was asleep. Court documents detail the events on
- 8:09Speaker 1: September fifth that led to Lena Dia Lavera's arrest. It's
- 8:15Speaker 1: a very exotic sounding name, Lena, According to documents, Uh
- 8:21Speaker 1: was arrested after a man claimed he had been assaulted
- 8:23Speaker 1: with a weapon. When they arrived on scene, the victim
- 8:26Speaker 1: told officers he was alone and had been attacked without warning.
- 8:28Speaker 1: He was then taken to the emergency room for treatment.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Police later talked to another man who was at the scene,
- 8:34Speaker 1: who said the victim had been attacked by his girlfriend,
- 8:36Speaker 1: identified as Lena Dio Lavera. He told police that when
- 8:41Speaker 1: he woke up to the screaming, he saw her swing
- 8:44Speaker 1: down with a hatchet, and according to court documents, the
- 8:47Speaker 1: man said he couldn't see what she hit, but heard
- 8:49Speaker 1: a sound like splitting wood. The man told police he
- 8:53Speaker 1: suspected Lina Dia Lavera was out of it, but came
- 8:57Speaker 1: too after hearing the click from the couch his foot
- 9:00Speaker 1: rest and seeing the blood. He said, she then fled
- 9:05Speaker 1: the scene the click of the foot rest.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Because it was in recline.
- 9:13Speaker 1: I gotta get up. Just imagine you're being an attacked
- 9:15Speaker 1: by your crazy girlfriend with an axe and you're stuck
- 9:21Speaker 1: like a turtle on its back because you're stuck in
- 9:23Speaker 1: the reclined position, and in order to make the escape,
- 9:27Speaker 1: you've got to get back up to normal seated.
- 9:31Speaker 3: Now this would be a case to blame your husband.
- 9:43Speaker 3: Why just go oh no, it wouldn't me. My husband
- 9:48Speaker 3: did it. He ran off.
- 9:53Speaker 2: I don't know what happened.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Officers located a blood trail coming from an attached garage
- 10:00Speaker 1: where the man said he was staying along with the
- 10:02Speaker 1: victim and Lena dear Levada. Two of the victim's fingers
- 10:06Speaker 1: were missing or kind of hanging. According to that man,
- 10:09Speaker 1: the victim had to have surgery on those fingers, and
- 10:12Speaker 1: officers were shown photos of the man's head with a
- 10:14Speaker 1: large slice in it and another photo showed deep lacerations
- 10:17Speaker 1: to his fingers. She was arrested and very sexily named Morehead, Minnesota,
- 10:24Speaker 1: on September seventh. She requested an attorney when officers attempted
- 10:27Speaker 1: to interview, where no information or statement from her has
- 10:29Speaker 1: been noted thus far. The other man on the scene
- 10:32Speaker 1: at the time of the attack provided more details to
- 10:35Speaker 1: investigators later. So there you have it, Trey. This is
- 10:40Speaker 1: the beginnings of your romantic comedy story. So I married
- 10:45Speaker 1: an ax murderer.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Clearly he chose Chinese when she wanted pizza.
- 11:00Speaker 4: Then earlier said that you haven't had this notch in
- 11:02Speaker 4: your bed post.
- 11:03Speaker 2: I'm like, well, you got an axe, you can.
- 11:06Speaker 1: She'll do it for you right now. See, that's where
- 11:10Speaker 1: you need to make sure in a relationship you're on
- 11:12Speaker 1: the same page. He might be concerned with notches and
- 11:15Speaker 1: head posts. She's concerned with notches and heads.
- 11:19Speaker 2: She didn't hear the post part.
- 11:25Speaker 3: Now, I you know, I'm actually I'm actually amazed I
- 11:30Speaker 3: never have been attacked in my sleep, because, if I'm
- 11:33Speaker 3: being honest, there's probably been some times I deserved it.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Based on what you said. That means you've been attacked
- 11:41Speaker 1: plenty while awake.
- 11:46Speaker 3: A couple times, okay, but never with an axe. No, no,
- 11:52Speaker 3: no weapons have ever really been involved.
- 11:54Speaker 4: So, uh, the one that got away.
- 12:03Speaker 1: And she's still running because there's a wards. It's amazing,
- 12:10Speaker 1: Like Trey gets triggered watching America's Most Wanted because at
- 12:13Speaker 1: least five at the top ten or his exes.
- 12:17Speaker 2: Trey wants them back, and so does the FBI.
- 12:28Speaker 1: So you actually think, Trey, that there were a couple
- 12:29Speaker 1: of times that you probably deserve to be attacked in
- 12:31Speaker 1: your sleep.
- 12:33Speaker 3: I am sure in the prime of my drinking days
- 12:37Speaker 3: that I most certainly said or did something that would
- 12:41Speaker 3: at least have warranted a good punch.
- 12:46Speaker 1: And you wake up and you're like, what happened? And
- 12:48Speaker 1: then like they tell you, it's like, oh, I was drinking,
- 12:51Speaker 1: So this makes sense.
- 12:55Speaker 2: Where do you get an axe and why do you
- 12:58Speaker 2: have one? What did you one for?
- 13:00Speaker 1: Well, it's Minnesota, so chopping wood is okay. Yeah, axe
- 13:06Speaker 1: has actually coming very handy for a number of uses
- 13:09Speaker 1: around the home and in the off cheerless there's a
- 13:12Speaker 1: zombie apocalypse.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Or you're mad at your husband, or you just.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Keep one under the bed, Like maybe maybe she watched
- 13:23Speaker 1: Basic Instinct and saw what Sharon Stone what people thought
- 13:27Speaker 1: she was doing with an ice pick, and felt inspired
- 13:29Speaker 1: but wanted to wield her own classy weapon.
- 13:32Speaker 2: She is the last of the Mohicans.
- 13:35Speaker 1: H Even Trey knows to be wary dating someone who's
- 13:41Speaker 1: the last of something.
- 13:50Speaker 2: All right, And.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Finally, example number three of true crime but stupid? Uh
- 13:58Speaker 1: this is this is deaf. A headline that I have
- 14:01Speaker 1: never expected I'd read Nudists declare war on SpaceX. Okay, finally,
- 14:12Speaker 1: the rockets that look like Dix are going to cross
- 14:16Speaker 1: swords with dicks. Space dot Com reported members of the
- 14:28Speaker 1: American Association for Nude Recreation. Yes, that is a real group.
- 14:32Speaker 1: We're among those protesting the Elon Musk owned company's proposed
- 14:36Speaker 1: use of Kennedy's Space Center on the Sunshine States so
- 14:40Speaker 1: called Space Coast. Among the many potential impacts associated with
- 14:44Speaker 1: bringing SpaceX to Florida, including hearing, damage to local residents
- 14:48Speaker 1: and flight delays across the state, is the repeat closure
- 14:52Speaker 1: of Paylinda Beach, a remote location on the Canaveral National
- 14:56Speaker 1: Seashore that's one of Florida's four sin public beaches where
- 15:01Speaker 1: nudity is legal. Popular among the clothing optional set Pliolinda
- 15:07Speaker 1: could be closed up to sixty times per year due
- 15:11Speaker 1: to starship operations, and Deborah Sue Stevens, a former regional
- 15:16Speaker 1: director for the nudist Organization's Western branch, says those closures
- 15:20Speaker 1: will harm many members of her community. Meanwhile, Eric shut Off,
- 15:27Speaker 1: the executive director of aa n R, which bills itself
- 15:30Speaker 1: as the largest and longest established nudist organization in the
- 15:33Speaker 1: United States, with foundations dating back to nineteen thirty one,
- 15:37Speaker 1: added that Plyolinda closures might affect the non nude community
- 15:39Speaker 1: as well. He explained, nudists may end up traveling to
- 15:43Speaker 1: nearby Vlujia County, where clothing optional Apollo Beach, located further
- 15:47Speaker 1: along the Canaveral shore, is also a popular one among
- 15:50Speaker 1: those who like to sunbathe in their birthday suits. So
- 15:53Speaker 1: should Plyland to be removed as an option, Shutoff warned,
- 15:57Speaker 1: nudists may overtake Apollo and ended up going over the
- 15:59Speaker 1: clothing option line, causing some decidedly fluoridian conflicts between them
- 16:03Speaker 1: and their clothed counterparts. Shine the bat signal We've got trouble.
- 16:10Speaker 3: So they're mad that the space center might might go
- 16:16Speaker 3: to have things go to space.
- 16:20Speaker 1: They're fine with that. They just want to be able.
- 16:23Speaker 1: Well they they just don't want to have their naked
- 16:26Speaker 1: beach time taken from them, even though I'm pretty sure
- 16:32Speaker 1: it's a safety concern because they're I guess they're worried
- 16:36Speaker 1: about the rockets being too close to a clothing optional.
- 16:39Speaker 4: Beach or any beach I mean, like any malfunctioned no
- 16:45Speaker 4: wrong clothing or uh you know, or clothing optional whatever.
- 16:49Speaker 2: But uh, yeah, that's as Uh.
- 16:51Speaker 4: This is why these guys give interviews to newspapers like
- 16:53Speaker 4: nobody's nobody's taking them on TV.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Just have to put the black bars everywhere.
- 17:02Speaker 3: No, if they did, if they did a video campaign,
- 17:04Speaker 3: people would be decidedly on the spot the side.
- 17:07Speaker 2: Of elon them.
- 17:10Speaker 3: Yeah you see fatten boobs hanging down to knees now.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Yeah, the nudist camp and the nudest beaches of reality
- 17:20Speaker 1: are very different than the nudest beaches in your mind
- 17:24Speaker 1: or on CINEMATX. That was also, by the way, that
- 17:31Speaker 1: was a hard lesson to learn as as an adolescent
- 17:35Speaker 1: on HBO free preview weekends when they would have real
- 17:38Speaker 1: sex come on super late at night at like midnight
- 17:41Speaker 1: or one am and you're like, yeah, okay, I'm twelve,
- 17:45Speaker 1: thirteen years old. Real Sex is coming on. Yeah, And
- 17:49Speaker 1: then they show one of the segments at some sort
- 17:52Speaker 1: of a swinger's colony or a nudist camp, and the
- 17:55Speaker 1: shock that these people are so wildly of shape and
- 18:00Speaker 1: gross is stunning. When you're used to Skinemax level nudity,
- 18:06Speaker 1: you assume that people that go to these places are
- 18:08Speaker 1: nude all the time because they're hot, when in actuality,
- 18:11Speaker 1: it's the opposite that is true.
- 18:13Speaker 4: Yeah, that's why when you see that, like on Real Sex,
- 18:16Speaker 4: when they were showing like the nudest resort and like
- 18:18Speaker 4: I think it was Arizona.
- 18:19Speaker 2: I think it was one of them. Like nobody was hard.
- 18:22Speaker 1: No, not even close, No, And I loved Yeah. I
- 18:29Speaker 1: looked on those episodes because I thought, Okay, clearly I'm
- 18:32Speaker 1: not going to get out of this show that which
- 18:36Speaker 1: I'm not going to get out of this show what
- 18:37Speaker 1: I was hoping for, So let me at least watch
- 18:40Speaker 1: this out of curiosity to see can I find just
- 18:43Speaker 1: one attractive woman at this nudist colony on Real Sex
- 18:49Speaker 1: And I think it may have come close to happening,
- 18:52Speaker 1: maybe kind of sort of once.
- 18:55Speaker 4: Yeah, that's when they when they show real sex on
- 18:58Speaker 4: HBO halfway through, when you flip the channel back to
- 19:01Speaker 4: Cinemax and they're like, welcome.
- 19:03Speaker 1: Back, you had enough reel for the evening.
- 19:13Speaker 2: How about the sex you've imagined?
- 19:17Speaker 1: Come to Skinemax. No reel over here, And I, for
- 19:26Speaker 1: one would like to send out some sincere appreciation to
- 19:31Speaker 1: Cinemax for that ballance man, because after seeing caged heat
- 19:38Speaker 1: on Cinemax versus real sex on HBO. For all things Treehouse,
- 19:47Speaker 1: go to Treehouse on Air dot com. You can also
