- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 0:01SPEAKER_00: I have three things.
- 0:02SPEAKER_00: I have three things to say today.
- 0:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: And it probably take me about two and a half minutes.
- 0:07SPEAKER_01: Three of them.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, number one.
- 0:10SPEAKER_01: I'm already intrigued.
- 0:11SPEAKER_01: Bruv.
- 0:11SPEAKER_01: I'm already I started saying what's that?
- 0:14SPEAKER_01: I'm already intrigued.
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: Well, number one is bruv is a word I started using on this podcast, and it's now like my favorite.
- 0:23SPEAKER_00: I don't know what you call that word, but I like to say bruv.
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: Oh, bruv.
- 0:28SPEAKER_01: Brav.
- 0:29SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: Brav.
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: Like I never said bruv before, but like somehow it I I at first it sounded awkward, and now I feel it flows, and I really like bruv.
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: Oh, bruv.
- 0:40SPEAKER_00: As as like a term of endearment, I guess.
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: Brav is the best.
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: Brav.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: Bruv.
- 0:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: And as Nico as Nacho Libre would say, what would he say?
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: The base.
- 0:54SPEAKER_01: It's the base.
- 0:56SPEAKER_01: The base.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: That is a crazy lady.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: And that is a crazy lady.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: That's what he says too.
- 1:04SPEAKER_01: I don't remember.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: And he also, one of my favorite things he says is that I have a sticker on the back door of my restaurant.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: The a sticker that he that that is well one of the quotes that he says where he says, My life is good.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: Really, really good.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: My life is good.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: Really good.
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: Yes, bruv.
- 1:23SPEAKER_01: Number two.
- 1:24SPEAKER_01: Number two.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: You went over to a nine-minute episode on Steve 8, which is eight minutes.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: Then you said you were going to do a seven-minute episode to make up for the nine-minute episode and you did a six-minute episode.
- 1:39SPEAKER_01: No, I didn't.
- 1:39SPEAKER_01: I did a six fifty-three.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: Oh, was it?
- 1:44SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: Oh, I didn't look at that.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: I didn't look at the detail.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: Oh, so it's basically seven.
- 1:49SPEAKER_01: Just explain to everyone.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: Since I'm recording it on my phone, okay?
- 1:53SPEAKER_01: When you call, I push the record button, and it takes a second to then record.
- 2:01SPEAKER_01: So right now, I'm there's two timers.
- 2:05SPEAKER_01: There's the timer of how long this call was, which is 215, 16, 17, and then there's the time of how long it's been recording, which is like five seconds behind.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: So I was wondering if it would help to have a little handheld record like timer, like a little kitchen timer.
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: I'm not holding anything else around.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: You just go to your phone, you go to your phone and you use an app that says time this, and then you have a timer going.
- 2:31SPEAKER_01: I just look at the phone.
- 2:32SPEAKER_01: I just have to look at the right time.
- 2:34SPEAKER_01: I have to remember it's the time of the recording, not the time of the phone call.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: Oh, there you can see the time of the recording also.
- 2:44SPEAKER_01: Both numbers are clicking.
- 2:46SPEAKER_01: Oh, that is hard.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: That is a really good exercise for your old brain.
- 2:51SPEAKER_01: I know, it really is.
- 2:52SPEAKER_01: It really is.
- 2:53SPEAKER_01: So so technically this one needs to be now.
- 2:57SPEAKER_01: Here's the trick.
- 2:58SPEAKER_01: Here's the here's the real real question.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: Three and a half seconds longer.
- 3:01SPEAKER_01: No, it's like five seconds.
- 3:02SPEAKER_01: It's eight seconds, I think.
- 3:04SPEAKER_01: So it's 653.
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: I think.
- 3:07SPEAKER_01: Does this one have to go eight seconds less or eight seconds more?
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think that that that that you have to look the past is the past, and we do eight minutes starting now.
- 3:22SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 3:22SPEAKER_01: So what's number three?
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: Number three is I want to know about your morning uh routine with your beverage.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: Like I'll get I'll have uh a decaf coffee now and then.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: Okay, it's fine.
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: I usually have black coffee and I do decaf, but I'm now doing instant decaf just to make it easier.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: It's decaf.
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna go crazy.
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: So I do an instant decaf.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: I'm an old man, I'm wearing like blue blockers, you know, like I don't care.
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: But I'm getting tired of the do you wear suspenders?
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: That's the real key.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: No, okay, but I am getting a little tired of the decaf.
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: I'm like, it's not that great.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: And then I'm like, so now I've been adding a little milk in the morning or a little bit of a sugar simple syrup, but but I'm getting a lot of ads on my on my on my phone for something, some sort of a cacao, mushroom, cacao morning beverage, less caffeine, better uh energy, dah, dah, dah.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, this is the California thing, and I need to ask Steve 8, who's gonna tell me what I should be like, how do I switch my morning drink to what your morning drink is?
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: Like, what is your morning drink?
- 4:28SPEAKER_01: My morning drink is black coffee.
- 4:30SPEAKER_01: So, but I do have that that that thing, it's called mud.
- 4:34SPEAKER_01: Well, I mean, the one, the first one that kind of came out was called mud, mud water.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: Mud water.
- 4:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and it's kind of a cacao, it has caffeine, it still has caffeine, but it's like got lion's mane, mushroom, and stuff.
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: And but but I don't it's also really expensive, so I can't just shred that.
- 4:52SPEAKER_01: I usually do that like in the afternoon when I need a pickup.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: But my But it's uh it's a it's a co it's a chocolate or it's a mushroom or both?
- 5:01SPEAKER_01: Yes, all those things.
- 5:02SPEAKER_01: It's it's basically but it's expensive.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: When you say it's expensive, what does that mean?
- 5:05SPEAKER_01: It's like fifty bucks for a for a canister a month.
- 5:09SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I guess a month.
- 5:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's a lot of money.
- 5:12SPEAKER_01: So yeah, my morning routine is just black coffee.
- 5:15SPEAKER_01: I just make black coffee.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: But the month's worth is like a scoop that you put in hot water or milk?
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: Like how does it work?
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: Hot water.
- 5:23SPEAKER_01: That's it.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: And you and it's a scoop a day, and so 50 bucks would last you a month?
- 5:28SPEAKER_01: I guess, yeah.
- 5:29SPEAKER_00: I don't find that to be excessively expensive.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: It's really good.
- 5:33SPEAKER_00: Do you have to add a sweetener?
- 5:34SPEAKER_01: I drink a lot of coffee, so I mean I wouldn't drink one scoop.
- 5:37SPEAKER_01: So if I'm gonna do the one scoop, I'm gonna do it in the afternoon.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: But is it ta like is it that do you add sugar?
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: Is it tasty?
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: Do you add honey?
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: What do you do?
- 5:47SPEAKER_01: It's just I just drink it black like black coffee.
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: Is it sweet at all?
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: Or is it bitter?
- 5:54SPEAKER_01: It's it's kind of bitter because cacao is not sweet.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 5:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah, cacao isn't it.
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: And they don't make it sweet.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: They they're it's basically they're saying, here's another bitter drink that's gonna replace your black coffee that's got a little less caffeine and a little more what?
- 6:10SPEAKER_00: What's what what's the advantage?
- 6:11SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: It's got a lot of hippie stuff, just it's hippie stuff.
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: It's California.
- 6:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's hippie stuff, you know.
- 6:17SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 6:17SPEAKER_01: There's hippies everywhere.
- 6:18SPEAKER_01: You know, there's hippies, you have hippies too in Florida.
- 6:21SPEAKER_01: But um We got them in Florida.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: We got them.
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: I don't know if they're drinking mud water.
- 6:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, what's your morning routine though?
- 6:27SPEAKER_01: You didn't you just I mean, it can't just be what what's the first thing you drink?
- 6:30SPEAKER_01: Is that your routine?
- 6:31SPEAKER_00: Well, so anyway, I will say that as far as drinks go, like in a week of seven days, I might have a decaf coffee, um, three of those days.
- 6:44SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: And the other days I'll just have water.
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: Like the decaf coffee is like a real treat.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm going to have a coffee.
- 6:51SPEAKER_00: Now I'm switching to the milk and the coffee, the some ice and a little bit of simple syrup.
- 6:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: So just a tiny bit to make it like a little, it's not really sweet, but it's not really bitter, and the cre and the milk makes it good.
- 7:03SPEAKER_00: It's milk, not cream.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: So that's kind of like an up in my game a little bit as far as the drink goes.
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: You know, I um but a lot sometimes I'll get it.
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: I just get up and get right in the pool and swim for an hour.
- 7:14SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
- 7:14SPEAKER_00: Um, and then sometimes I get up and I do these exercises that are like nine exercises in nine minutes.
- 7:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: And it's kind of like uh like the first one you're jumping.
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: It's like it's kind of to get it, you're moving a lot.
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: You're moving your arms, you're moving your jumping, you're it's it's it's your um what do you call it?
- 7:38SPEAKER_01: I think it's like an aerobic workout.
- 7:41SPEAKER_00: It's a little bit of an aerobic thing.
- 7:43SPEAKER_00: I think it's got to do something with qi gong or tai chi or some sort of like way to move your body in a way which helps your um your your lymph nodes, like lymph draining, maybe.
- 7:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's like a chain, it's like a Jane Fonda thing.
- 7:57SPEAKER_01: You're doing a Jane Fonda thing, yeah.
- 7:59SPEAKER_00: Move them.
