- 0:10Speaker 2: Welcome to Meet Eater Trivia, the only game show where
- 0:12Speaker 2: conservation always wins. I'm your host, Spencer new Arth, and
- 0:16Speaker 2: today we're joined by Jannis Randall, Brodie Colin, Nate Tresa,
- 0:21Speaker 2: and Kate McParland Caid. Tell folks what you do here
- 0:24Speaker 2: at Meat Eater.
- 0:25Speaker 3: I'm a retail store associate in the downtown location. And
- 0:29Speaker 3: then when I'm not working in Bozeman, I'm a fishing
- 0:32Speaker 3: guide in Alaska and a hunting guid here in Montana.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Oh so when does that season kickoff for you?
- 0:36Speaker 4: Right now?
- 0:37Speaker 3: Where I'm guiding aut in Alaska, we don't get started
- 0:39Speaker 3: until the end of June, just because it's way up
- 0:41Speaker 3: from the ocean. All the fish are still kicking their
- 0:44Speaker 3: way up. So I started driving up there about the
- 0:47Speaker 3: end of you know, June twentieth, something like that, and
- 0:50Speaker 3: get up there for my first round of clients July six.
- 0:52Speaker 2: And I understand someone's birthday today, Happy birthday, Happy birthday.
- 0:58Speaker 3: Two?
- 0:58Speaker 5: How old are you, kid?
- 1:00Speaker 3: Twenty three? I hate to show my age, but hopefully
- 1:05Speaker 3: I don't. I think I'm at a little bit of
- 1:07Speaker 3: a disadvantage.
- 1:07Speaker 2: Gives you an excuse if you don't do well, be
- 1:09Speaker 2: like I'm twenty three years old.
- 1:12Speaker 5: I'm half the age of that guy that just won.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Now, this is a ten round quiz show with questions
- 1:17Speaker 2: from meat Eater's four verticals, which are hunting, fishing, conservation,
- 1:20Speaker 2: and cooking, and there is a prize. Meat Eater will
- 1:23Speaker 2: donate five hundred dollars to the conservation organization of the
- 1:26Speaker 2: winner's choosing and for the stand of the week. This
- 1:28Speaker 2: week we're looking at the continuation of the overtime drought
- 1:32Speaker 2: that we're currently in. We haven't had a game go
- 1:33Speaker 2: to overtime since December fourth, meaning we're on a fifteen
- 1:37Speaker 2: week overtime drought. The world was very different fifteen weeks ago.
- 1:42Speaker 2: You think you boys got in you today for an
- 1:43Speaker 2: overtime game?
- 1:44Speaker 6: Oh?
- 1:45Speaker 7: Yeah, I think we could rig it just to.
- 1:47Speaker 8: Have Yeah, I was gonna say we can arrange that
- 1:50Speaker 8: fifteen weeks.
- 1:51Speaker 2: I'm gonna have to fans.
- 1:52Speaker 5: Check an infantly ask question just dropping it.
- 1:57Speaker 2: I'm gonna have to refact check these overtime questions. They
- 2:01Speaker 2: were written so long ago. Who knows what's changed? All right,
- 2:04Speaker 2: here's our Infrequently Asked Questions segment. If you have a
- 2:07Speaker 2: trivia related question, for our crew. Send it to trivia
- 2:10Speaker 2: at the media dot Com with the subjects line I
- 2:12Speaker 2: f a q Landon. Tunker says, does the crew listen
- 2:15Speaker 2: to episodes they're not on? Di Spencer listen back to
- 2:18Speaker 2: episodes that he is on? What about Phil?
- 2:21Speaker 5: No, that's a good question.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Well, Phil has to listen to them, Yeah, too many times.
- 2:26Speaker 2: No one's more familiar than Phil.
- 2:29Speaker 6: I don't know if I count as the crew.
- 2:31Speaker 9: You know, yeah, Nate, but I'm too behind Randall on
- 2:34Speaker 9: the championship right now?
- 2:35Speaker 6: And okay, quite perturbed.
- 2:37Speaker 2: That means you're tied with Steve going to episode three.
- 2:43Speaker 9: Ye, and I know it's not the same blah blah blah,
- 2:47Speaker 9: but dude, I'm.
- 2:49Speaker 2: I'm hot on it right Nate is fixing fixing to
- 2:52Speaker 2: be the King Jabbroni this summer and we have the
- 2:54Speaker 2: Jabbroni Tournament?
- 2:56Speaker 10: Does it?
- 2:56Speaker 2: Yanni? Do you listen episodes you're not here for?
- 2:59Speaker 10: Not usually up?
- 3:00Speaker 3: Huh?
- 3:00Speaker 10: Nate, I'm spress.
- 3:01Speaker 8: You didn't score yourself, you know, instead of scoring yourself
- 3:04Speaker 8: three or two behind me? How many ahead of seth
- 3:07Speaker 8: are you?
- 3:08Speaker 6: Oh?
- 3:08Speaker 9: Dude, I'll be honest. I think there's some chicanery going
- 3:13Speaker 9: on with Seth being in and not being in.
- 3:16Speaker 2: But you can start keeping the stats, Nate, I do
- 3:20Speaker 2: want to meet your set guy.
- 3:22Speaker 5: If there was like a little filter on Apple podcasts
- 3:25Speaker 5: where I could just filter Yanni episodes or not, then
- 3:29Speaker 5: then I would probably listen to it. But to go
- 3:31Speaker 5: in and like figure it out and like, yeah.
- 3:33Speaker 7: What do you mean you listen to your own or
- 3:35Speaker 7: not listen.
- 3:36Speaker 5: To No, I would not listen to the ones hours.
- 3:40Speaker 10: We're like one.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Hundred, We're like one hundred and sixty episodes in. I've
- 3:43Speaker 2: probably listened to one hundred and twenty of them. It's
- 3:45Speaker 2: like watching game film.
- 3:46Speaker 10: I want to.
- 3:47Speaker 11: Oh God, hey, sorry guys. If people watching video can
- 3:51Speaker 11: see that, I'm doing some live troubleshooting here, I've just
- 3:54Speaker 11: wrapped it up. I'm sorry about that.
- 3:56Speaker 2: What was that endless void?
- 3:57Speaker 11: It was just a feedback lift from the the Fun film.
- 4:00Speaker 11: We're good now everything.
- 4:02Speaker 2: I listened back to the episodes to prevent things like that.
- 4:04Speaker 2: I want it. It's like watching game film. I want to.
- 4:06Speaker 2: I want to do really good job for you guys,
- 4:09Speaker 2: So I want to know how it sounds.
- 4:11Speaker 6: You know what God no written, Nate, You're first speaking.
- 4:14Speaker 9: Of stats, well, I was in Germany, not employed at
- 4:17Speaker 9: this company. I sent you an email about keeping stats.
- 4:20Speaker 9: Oh yes, you can find it.
- 4:22Speaker 6: Wow, you shouldn't because it was a terrible attempt.
- 4:25Speaker 2: I'm going to go find that email. Nate thirsty Annie, what's.
- 4:29Speaker 5: The sort of biggest piece of personal feedback that you've
- 4:33Speaker 5: taken from listening to one hundred and twenty episodes that
- 4:36Speaker 5: you've changed about your the way you present the show.
- 4:39Speaker 2: I don't know that it's like one big thing. It's
- 4:40Speaker 2: just like hearing what a good question is hearing when
- 4:44Speaker 2: you like wrap up the banter, if we're taking too
- 4:46Speaker 2: much time to answer, not enough time. I think things
- 4:50Speaker 2: like that just finding filler for the show.
- 4:53Speaker 7: So when you cut Randall's Happy Birthday song off, that was.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Like songs never well, twenty episodes of data, we shouldn't
- 5:03Speaker 2: have a full happy version.
- 5:05Speaker 5: Let it go. Randall sounded good.
- 5:06Speaker 8: Yeah, Well, the first part of the song's easy is
- 5:10Speaker 8: when you get to the climb up to that higher pitch.
- 5:12Speaker 10: That's where I fall apart.
- 5:14Speaker 7: Sometimes I wish you were in the room when Randall's
- 5:16Speaker 7: doing his movie reviews because they've gone a real.
- 5:18Speaker 2: No, those are meant to go.
- 5:19Speaker 5: That's part of the bit, Yeah, I didn't know what
- 5:22Speaker 5: there was, like a different part in that song goes
- 5:26Speaker 5: you know, al we can clear it.
- 5:29Speaker 2: Out random if you'd like to do the whole thing.
- 5:32Speaker 10: No, no, no, I'd have to start from the beginning.
- 5:34Speaker 11: It's in the public domain now, so you can go
- 5:36Speaker 11: on for as long as you want.
- 5:38Speaker 2: We have some housekeeping to get to. During the Meat
- 5:40Speaker 2: Eater Tournament, we had a question about taxonomic ranking. This
- 5:43Speaker 2: inspired a few listeners to write in with phrases they've
- 5:46Speaker 2: memorized so that they always remember the hierarchy of life domain, kingdom, phylum, class, order, family, genus,
- 5:54Speaker 2: and species. Sean Richardson wrote in, and this is a
- 5:57Speaker 2: classic mnemonic. King phil came over for green soup. Lady
- 6:02Speaker 2: Miller had a similar rhyme to Sean. King Philip came
- 6:05Speaker 2: over for good spaghetti. Logan fusen. This one is morbid.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Kids playing cards on freeway get smashed. And then we
- 6:13Speaker 2: had Mike Black. This one's really unique. Don't kick people's
- 6:18Speaker 2: crotches otherwise fights get started. And then we had Alex Frost.
- 6:22Speaker 2: He said he learned this from a teaching assistant in college.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Dear Karen, please come over for Ganja Smoke, and then
- 6:29Speaker 2: Emily Waller making a similar request as Alex, dear Kevin,
- 6:34Speaker 2: please come over for great sex. So you've got a
- 6:38Speaker 2: lot of ways there that you can always remember the
- 6:41Speaker 2: taxonomic raggings like the kids on the freeway.
- 6:45Speaker 10: I remember that.
- 6:46Speaker 2: People are never gonna forget it again, especially thanks to
- 6:48Speaker 2: Alex and Emily. All Right, the Shelby index for today
- 6:52Speaker 2: is a four, so our winner should get eight correct answers.
- 6:55Speaker 2: And with that we're onto the game of trivia. Play
- 6:57Speaker 2: the drop, Phil, Look, I need to know what I
- 7:03Speaker 2: stand to win everything?
- 7:06Speaker 10: How's that? Just tend to win everything?
- 7:15Speaker 5: Gamon Suckers.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Question one. The topic is hunting. This will be multiple
- 7:20Speaker 2: choice in this first great question is via Randy Hodge.
- 7:24Speaker 2: What does the federal tax stamp cost when applying for
- 7:28Speaker 2: a suppressor? Is it one hundred dollars, two hundred dollars,
- 7:33Speaker 2: three hundred dollars or four hundred dollars?
- 7:36Speaker 10: How do you know this? This?
- 7:38Speaker 4: This question weeds out those of us who have paid
- 7:40Speaker 4: for suppress.
- 7:43Speaker 6: Yanni or people who are looking to get one.
- 7:47Speaker 2: Yanni owned a suppressor but didn't have to pay for
- 7:49Speaker 2: his tax stamp, So what did that federal tax stamp
- 7:52Speaker 2: cost one hundred dollars two hundred dollars three hundred dollars
- 7:55Speaker 2: four hundred dollars. Nate, would you like to know who
- 7:58Speaker 2: wins the meat eater trivia turn?
- 8:00Speaker 6: No, I want to be I want to be surprised.
- 8:03Speaker 2: All right, who do you think is gonna win?
- 8:07Speaker 6: I mean it'd be tough to beat Randall. He's up three.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Unless you're Nate and you're only two behind.
- 8:13Speaker 9: Yep, But you know, sucks to suck, didn't make the cut,
- 8:17Speaker 9: sucks to suck?
- 8:18Speaker 2: Maybe this year? This is this is the beginning of
- 8:20Speaker 2: your journey, Nate to qualifying for the twenty twenty five
- 8:23Speaker 2: media Is that?
- 8:24Speaker 6: Is it based on a year?
- 8:25Speaker 2: Is we're going to go stats for this whole year again?
- 8:28Speaker 2: Question one? What does the federal max stamp cost an
- 8:31Speaker 2: applying for a suppressor? One hundred dollars two hundred dollars,
- 8:36Speaker 2: three hundred dollars. This is the four hundred dollars.
- 8:38Speaker 5: This is the fresh new season. I've already forgotten about
- 8:41Speaker 5: last year's champion.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Does everyone having an answer?
- 8:44Speaker 5: A changing a perfect year?
- 8:45Speaker 6: So far?
- 8:46Speaker 2: Here? Go ahead and reveal your answers, Nate saying two hundred, Tresa,
- 8:52Speaker 2: two hundred, Kid two hundred, Randall two hundred, Colin one
- 8:57Speaker 2: hundred dollars. Giannis and Brody say two hundred. The correct
- 9:01Speaker 2: answer is two hundred dollars. The suppressor tax stamp was
- 9:05Speaker 2: introduced in nineteen thirty four, and surprisingly it was also
- 9:09Speaker 2: two hundred dollars. Then their goal was to discourage people
- 9:13Speaker 2: from purchasing them, which they accomplished by creating a fee
- 9:16Speaker 2: that's the equivalent of four thousand, eight hundred dollars today.
- 9:20Speaker 9: So wasn't that also the price of machine guns at
- 9:23Speaker 9: the time, all NFA because it was supposed to be
- 9:26Speaker 9: one hundred percent tax all class four.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Yeah, that two hundred dollars tax one seems steep, but
- 9:32Speaker 2: one hundred years ago.
- 9:33Speaker 10: Like if you're going to sbr something at home.
- 9:36Speaker 5: I wish that that had happened. With the price of
- 9:38Speaker 5: Latmin in summer of high school. I remember what it
- 9:40Speaker 5: costs because my dad like pattered in my head it
- 9:43Speaker 5: cost When I was I think it was it was
- 9:45Speaker 5: like six weeks for like, it was either a thousand
- 9:48Speaker 5: or fifteen hundred bucks. Twenty years ago it was. I
- 9:51Speaker 5: was telling Jennifer the other day, I'm like eeah, no
- 9:53Speaker 5: big deal, you know. And then also I look at
- 9:55Speaker 5: the prices, I'm like, yeah, oh godly, Summer High school
- 9:59Speaker 5: got really exchange. Oh my gosh.
- 10:01Speaker 8: Yeah, I just said something wrong and I'd like to
- 10:04Speaker 8: crawt Okay, that's gonna bother me.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Go for it.
- 10:06Speaker 8: They're Form one and Form four, but they're Class three
- 10:09Speaker 8: NFA items. So for those that would write in, please don't.
- 10:14Speaker 2: They've already sent three email rand it's too late.
- 10:17Speaker 7: Question to give yourself a nomination for head of ATF.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Here the topic is conservation and this next great question
- 10:24Speaker 2: is via Colby Parrot. This man was the thirty eighth
- 10:29Speaker 2: president and America's only president to work as a national
- 10:33Speaker 2: park ranger. The topic is conservation. This man was the
- 10:40Speaker 2: thirty eighth president and America's only president to work as
- 10:45Speaker 2: a national park ranger. And Colby, I'm not sure if
- 10:48Speaker 2: your last name is Pere or Parrot. Shout out for
- 10:51Speaker 2: the good question this week, Randall, do you know this one.
- 10:56Speaker 2: I'm working backwards making a list of presidents. He's the
- 10:59Speaker 2: only one doing that right now. This man was the
- 11:06Speaker 2: thirty eighth president in America's only president to work as
- 11:11Speaker 2: a National park Ranger. I don't see any answers yet
- 11:18Speaker 2: on the whiteboards. Nate is joining Randall by making a
- 11:22Speaker 2: list looking for the thirty eighth president, Phil, Would you
- 11:30Speaker 2: get this one right?
- 11:32Speaker 11: Just by using the Randall method? I did not know
- 11:34Speaker 11: that this man was a Parker, right.
- 11:39Speaker 3: This is one of those questions that is going to
- 11:40Speaker 3: show my age.
- 11:43Speaker 2: Yeah, you got a birthday that's in the two thousands,
- 11:45Speaker 2: kid post nine to eleven. Man, damn, this man was
- 11:50Speaker 2: the thirty eighth president in America's only president to work
- 11:55Speaker 2: as a national park.
- 11:56Speaker 11: You got written down there. You're honest?
- 12:00Speaker 10: What do I? Oh?
- 12:01Speaker 5: You want to see it?
- 12:04Speaker 2: Do you two agree on your answer?
- 12:06Speaker 3: No?
- 12:07Speaker 2: No, they have different answers.
- 12:12Speaker 5: Let me see Randall.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Do you have this one right?
- 12:15Speaker 10: I think so.
- 12:16Speaker 8: It's kind of an interesting interesting one thing about it correctly,
- 12:22Speaker 8: but I could not.
- 12:23Speaker 2: Be Okay, we'll see Nate. I saw you making a list.
- 12:26Speaker 2: How do you feel at your answer?
- 12:28Speaker 6: It's not good? Okay, not great?
- 12:32Speaker 2: All right? Is everybody ready go ahead and reveal your answers?
- 12:39Speaker 2: We have Nate saying Carter, Tresa says Bush, Cad says Ford,
- 12:46Speaker 2: Randall says Nixon, Colin says Teddy Roosevelt. Giannis says Hoover,
- 12:52Speaker 2: Brody says Carter. The correct answer is gerald Ford.
- 13:00Speaker 5: Got that one right.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Cad gerald Ford works at Yellowstone as a park ranger.
- 13:07Speaker 2: In nineteen thirty six, at the age of twenty three,
- 13:10Speaker 2: he spent that summer directing traffic, supervising campgrounds, and greeting
- 13:14Speaker 2: guests at the Canyon Hotel and Lodge. He said his
- 13:17Speaker 2: favorite duty was running the truck that would feed the
- 13:20Speaker 2: park's bears.
- 13:22Speaker 5: Gerald Hell, Yeah, question where we need to figure out
- 13:27Speaker 5: where Cad pulled that from.
- 13:28Speaker 2: He was the only one to get it right.
- 13:30Speaker 10: Uh, Kate an extra president there?
- 13:34Speaker 2: You know, well, do you want to should we work
- 13:37Speaker 2: through him? Here?
- 13:38Speaker 10: Trump?
- 13:39Speaker 11: Seven? Trump and Trump.
- 13:41Speaker 10: Trump, Biden, Trump, Bomp, Obama, Bush, Clinton Clinton Bush Bush
- 13:48Speaker 10: card for Nixon.
- 13:54Speaker 2: So you made it to thirty seven, So.
- 13:56Speaker 10: I guess did we do that right?
- 13:59Speaker 2: Question three, the topic is foraging. Porcini and penny Bun
- 14:04Speaker 2: are nicknames for the king variety of this mushroom. Yanni
- 14:11Speaker 2: quick to answer, Porcini and penny Bun are nicknames for
- 14:20Speaker 2: the king variety of this mushroom.
- 14:23Speaker 5: Never heard the pennybun one.
- 14:25Speaker 2: Mm hmm, But you have heard Porcini, Mm.
- 14:30Speaker 5: Yeah, definitely had some questionable feelings stomach situations.
- 14:34Speaker 11: After you Okay, yeah.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Porcini and Pennybun are nicknames for the King variety of
- 14:42Speaker 2: this mushroom. Randall, how do you feel about your answer
- 14:44Speaker 2: this time?
- 14:46Speaker 10: Not good?
- 14:46Speaker 4: Mushroom's a real weak spot for me.
- 14:49Speaker 2: How about you, Nate?
- 14:50Speaker 6: No, No, Also bad.
- 14:55Speaker 2: Caid with the only perfect game so far. Caid's gonna
- 14:59Speaker 2: earn himself invite to the twenty twenty five tournament.
- 15:01Speaker 6: Maybe I'm always rooting for the young ins. Dude, we
- 15:05Speaker 6: got it. Tough out here.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Porcini and Penny Bun are nicknames for the King variety
- 15:11Speaker 2: of this mushroom? Is everybody ready? Randall? Yes, go ahead
- 15:19Speaker 2: and reveal your answers. We have Nate saying portobella, Tresta
- 15:24Speaker 2: says lions man, Cade says truffle, Randall says white, Colin
- 15:30Speaker 2: says portobella. Giannis and Brody say bulett. They got it.
- 15:35Speaker 2: The correct answer is bullet. King. Bolett's are one of
- 15:39Speaker 2: the most common edible mushrooms in the world. They are
- 15:42Speaker 2: also one of the biggest. They grow in grassy forested
- 15:45Speaker 2: areas where you'd expect to find Chantrelle's. The nickname Porcini
- 15:49Speaker 2: translates to little pigs in Italian, a moniker given to
- 15:52Speaker 2: them by the Romans. Question four, the topic is gear.
- 15:58Speaker 2: This brand, which made their first tackle box in nineteen
- 16:01Speaker 2: fifty two and first bow case in nineteen ninety five,
- 16:05Speaker 2: is named after an Illinois city. This brand, which made
- 16:13Speaker 2: their first tackle box in nineteen fifty two and first
- 16:16Speaker 2: bowcase in nineteen ninety five, is named after an Illinois city.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Colin very quick to answer, Colin, you're from that part
- 16:26Speaker 2: of the world, right.
- 16:28Speaker 6: Yeah, but I didn't know that there was a city
- 16:29Speaker 6: in Illinois.
- 16:30Speaker 2: Hmm. Okay, but you think you know this one.
- 16:32Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 16:35Speaker 2: This brand, which made their first tackle box in nineteen
- 16:38Speaker 2: fifty two in first bowcase in nineteen ninety five, is
- 16:41Speaker 2: named after an Illinois city. YadA, you got this one right.
- 16:46Speaker 5: I've got two answers written down again. I'm with Colin,
- 16:51Speaker 5: and I don't know my Illinois City's that well?
- 16:55Speaker 2: Okay, Randal, do you like your answer?
- 17:00Speaker 10: I do?
- 17:01Speaker 2: Okay, If you don't, though, you could start one for four.
- 17:06Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, I know. I'm grappling with that possibility.
- 17:10Speaker 6: He'll be as bad as me.
- 17:11Speaker 8: I feel pretty good about this one, though. Okay, I'm
- 17:14Speaker 8: still trying to count. I've wrote the numbers down again.
- 17:17Speaker 8: I'm trying to figure out how I screwed this up.
- 17:19Speaker 2: M Did you come to a different answer this time? No,
- 17:26Speaker 2: I will google the list of presidents.
- 17:30Speaker 7: I think he's got all the presidents. He just can't count.
- 17:32Speaker 10: Yeah, that's what I'm struggling with.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Here again, we have forty seven, Trump forty six, Biden
- 17:40Speaker 2: forty five, Trump forty four, Obama forty three, Bush forty two,
- 17:44Speaker 2: Clinton forty one, Bush forty, Reagan thirty nine, Carter, thirty eight, Ford.
- 17:52Speaker 10: H all right, did you do that again?
- 17:57Speaker 2: All right, here we go. We'll start from thirty eight.
- 17:59Speaker 2: Thirty eight? Was Ford? Thirty seven? Was Nixon? If that
- 18:03Speaker 2: is messaging? Thirty nine, Carter forty, Reagan forty one, Bush
- 18:08Speaker 2: forty two, Clinton forty three, Bush forty four, Obama forty five,
- 18:14Speaker 2: Trump forty six, Biden forty seven Trump.
- 18:18Speaker 10: See here's what I've done this time.
- 18:19Speaker 8: Okay, I have two lines going to Clinton, So I
- 18:22Speaker 8: counted Clinton twice because of this corner in my list.
- 18:26Speaker 8: I've I've really made a grave error here just in
- 18:29Speaker 8: how I laid out my table.
- 18:31Speaker 2: But you feel good about your answer for the ship
- 18:33Speaker 2: brand that made their first tackle box in nineteen fifty
- 18:36Speaker 2: two and first bow case in nineteen ninety five. Is
- 18:39Speaker 2: everybody ready go ahead and reveal your answers. We have
- 18:43Speaker 2: Nate saying Pelican, Tresa or Vis Caid, Plano, Randall Plano,
- 18:50Speaker 2: Colin Plano, Yiannis Plano crossed out Flambeau, Brody crossed out
- 18:56Speaker 2: Plano and put Flambeau. The correct ants is Plano. About
- 19:03Speaker 2: half of our players got that one right. Plano makes
- 19:07Speaker 2: tackle boxes, bow cases, gun cases, storage trunks, amo cases,
- 19:12Speaker 2: and coolers. They created the world's best selling tackle box
- 19:15Speaker 2: after making a model with collapsible trays in the nineteen fifties.
- 19:19Speaker 2: Both of their original factories are still in operation. Flambeau
- 19:23Speaker 2: is in Wisconsin, and that's named after the Wisconsin River,
- 19:26Speaker 2: the Flambeau River.
- 19:28Speaker 5: So what was throwing me off? As all I could
- 19:31Speaker 5: think of was Plano, Texas.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Yeah, that would that would confuse you. Plano, Illinois is
- 19:35Speaker 2: just outside of Chicago and it was a set location
- 19:40Speaker 2: for Man of Steel. Can you picture that?
- 19:42Speaker 3: Phil?
- 19:43Speaker 2: Have you seen Man of Steel?
- 19:44Speaker 11: Unfortunately?
- 19:45Speaker 5: Yes?
- 19:45Speaker 3: Oh?
- 19:46Speaker 2: Is that was that a bad one?
- 19:47Speaker 11: Pretty bad one. Okay, so one where Kevin Costner gets
- 19:49Speaker 11: voluntarily sucked up into a tornado. It's very funny voluntarily voluntarily.
- 19:53Speaker 12: That's like to say the planet or because well, Superman
- 19:56Speaker 12: has to have make a choice, Spencer to reveal his
- 19:59Speaker 12: powers and say if his adopted father adopted father or
- 20:02Speaker 12: let him get sucked into a tornado.
- 20:04Speaker 11: And Kevin Cosner puts his hand up says no, son,
- 20:07Speaker 11: I will get sucked into this tournament.
- 20:10Speaker 2: In Plano, Illinois. He pulled that off. Question five, the
- 20:14Speaker 2: topic is fishing. Lake Marion, Lake Strom, Thurmond, Lake Moultrie,
- 20:19Speaker 2: and Lake Hartwell are the biggest lakes in this state.
- 20:26Speaker 2: A tough round for our players to start the twenty
- 20:29Speaker 2: twenty five regular season. Lake Marion, Lake Strom, Thurmond, Lake Moultrie,
- 20:35Speaker 2: and Lake Hartwell are the biggest lakes in this state.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Randal very quick to answer. Randal, do you know this one?
- 20:44Speaker 8: Do I know any of these answers? Spencer, I'd lost
- 20:48Speaker 8: all confidence. Okay, these mushrooms, these poorly drawn out presidential tables.
- 20:57Speaker 8: I think Phil's recounting of that plot Twisted Man of
- 21:01Speaker 8: Steel is probably the highlight of this game for me
- 21:03Speaker 8: so far, so.
- 21:05Speaker 2: Me too, Yani, Do you have this one right?
- 21:09Speaker 5: I've got a good, okay, good guess.
- 21:12Speaker 2: The biggest lakes in this state are Blake, Marion, Lake Strom, Thurmond,
- 21:18Speaker 2: Lake Moultrie, and the Lake Heartwell.
- 21:22Speaker 5: I had a lot of good adventures walking around my
- 21:24Speaker 5: neighborhood and uh lapt in summer camp with those a
- 21:29Speaker 5: little plane, no tackle box, and I.
- 21:32Speaker 2: Think you can picture exactly tackle box that you're talking
- 21:34Speaker 2: about with the foldable trays that really changed things in
- 21:38Speaker 2: the fifties. Form Does everybody have an answer?
- 21:42Speaker 5: I think everybody went through the stage where if you
- 21:44Speaker 5: sort of neglected it for a little bit and you
- 21:47Speaker 5: came back and half the ship in there would be
- 21:49Speaker 5: like melted somehow. You kind of had to decide you
- 21:54Speaker 5: get a new tackle box there and it gets rusty.
- 21:57Speaker 8: You left a little styrofoam cup of nightcrawlers and there
- 22:00Speaker 8: and then put it away in the garage for a
- 22:02Speaker 8: few months.
- 22:03Speaker 2: Lake Marion, Lake Strom, Thurmond, Lake Moultrie, and Lake Hartwell.
- 22:08Speaker 2: Is everybody ready go ahead and reveal your answers. We

- 22:58Speaker 2: The federal name is Lake strom Thurmond, but then it's
- 23:01Speaker 2: on the border of Georgia. South Carolina. Georgia calls it
- 23:04Speaker 2: Clark's Hill Lake. I believe I think what was strom Thurmond?
- 23:08Speaker 2: Was he a controversial politician?
- 23:10Speaker 10: Yes?
- 23:11Speaker 2: And uh yeah. The federal level, though, recognize it as
