- 0:16Speaker 1: Then that's all told them. Mott do the.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Speak then at the many, non the fat to count
- 0:58Speaker 2: the taste, but don't do it, don't test at don't
- 1:19Speaker 2: let the.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Taste.
- 2:05Speaker 4: All right, There's there's two reasons why we're running late
- 2:11Speaker 4: this morning. Gee. One is me. One is how what
- 2:17Speaker 4: do you mean? One is you.
- 2:19Speaker 3: I had to get a coffee at Duncan, Okay, So
- 2:22Speaker 3: that that's why we were running late.
- 2:24Speaker 4: There I look so orange and weird, don't I know?
- 2:27Speaker 4: You tell you? Look, you know, you look great? Look
- 2:30Speaker 4: at that? Look at that that sweatsuit you got on.
- 2:33Speaker 4: I know from comfort. God, buddy, it's from comfort, and
- 2:38Speaker 4: I love it. Everybody is. That's like the latest rage
- 2:43Speaker 4: right now is the is the comfort brand?
- 2:45Speaker 3: Well, because it's so soft and it's warmer than hell, yeah,
- 2:49Speaker 3: which which you need these days. Well, I had, I
- 2:53Speaker 3: think when I came to your place, I had the
- 2:55Speaker 3: thin one on, okay, because I got all different, you know, thicknesses. Yes,
- 3:00Speaker 3: it's just so comfortable, and because it's we're in the
- 3:02Speaker 3: middle of May. Yeah, and because like in New York
- 3:07Speaker 3: and everywhere else where, it's sunny and absolutely beautiful Stacy
- 3:11Speaker 3: down in the eighties.
- 3:13Speaker 4: Yeah, Okay.
- 3:14Speaker 3: Because of that, I'm still wearing a sweatsuit. Yeah, does
- 3:18Speaker 3: that make sense?
- 3:19Speaker 4: I know Stacy was it was taunting a little bit
- 3:21Speaker 4: yesterday with yeah, with the weather temperature, I know, where's Stacy?
- 3:27Speaker 4: Yeah whatever, yeah, whatever, Stacy.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Just so you know, it's been rainy in the fifties
- 3:33Speaker 3: here and today it might go up to sixty. So yeah,
- 3:40Speaker 3: and everybody's gonna say, oh, come on, ge next week
- 3:43Speaker 3: it's gonna hit eighty for one day.
- 3:46Speaker 4: What about the m MS, which is what I use
- 3:50Speaker 4: for this coming weekend? Mostly sunny? Not gonna what picture
- 3:56Speaker 4: was sun and cloud in between the two? But is
- 4:00Speaker 4: it MS or PsyS? Is partly sonny? Right? I would say?
- 4:07Speaker 4: Ps Okay, Yeah, so there we have that. The other
- 4:12Speaker 4: reason why we're running a little behind this morning, and
- 4:16Speaker 4: I just I'm just gonna be totally transparent. Go ahead,
- 4:20Speaker 4: don't care, don't care. Why would you? Is that? Because
- 4:26Speaker 4: my little girl was talking with her dad this morning.
- 4:30Speaker 3: Well, she has a dance tonight, the first dance she's
- 4:32Speaker 3: ever gone on.
- 4:33Speaker 4: Please don't please, don't remind me.
- 4:35Speaker 3: So of course she's hyper and nervous and excited never
- 4:39Speaker 3: so she needed dad.
- 4:40Speaker 4: She was just dad time. We were just talking. That's it,
- 4:50Speaker 4: all right, that's it.
- 4:52Speaker 3: That's and there's nothing wrong with that. Glenn once again
- 4:55Speaker 3: has told me I look better and blue.
- 5:00Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 5:04Speaker 3: This whole this looks like a burnt orange, and it's
- 5:07Speaker 3: not because of the colors on your screen. So everybody
- 5:11Speaker 3: just know, it's not like this icky, yucky burnt orange.
- 5:16Speaker 3: It's a really really nice like fusia lavender kind of
- 5:22Speaker 3: yahala yeah, and it's extremely comfortable.
- 5:25Speaker 4: So I don't give a shit what anybody thinks. Uh yeah,
- 5:29Speaker 4: that's it. That's it. And you know what, here's the
- 5:33Speaker 4: here's the thing. I'll just be honest here. I'm not
- 5:36Speaker 4: going to rush my kid if she wants to talk
- 5:38Speaker 4: to me about it, about that, absolutely nothing. I'm just
- 5:41Speaker 4: not going to do it. No.
- 5:43Speaker 3: Family always comes first, if you're putting your job and
- 5:47Speaker 3: everything else in front of your family, No boano.
- 5:51Speaker 4: No, no. Yesterday was so cool to get over to
- 5:55Speaker 4: Berry Tobacco and Beer. They had their ribbon cutting yep,
- 6:00Speaker 4: which was really really nice yep.
- 6:02Speaker 3: And you know what I like about them, if you
- 6:04Speaker 3: go in there, a lot of people like them, A
- 6:07Speaker 3: lot of people don't.
- 6:08Speaker 4: Your choice.
- 6:10Speaker 3: What I like about them is when you go in there,
- 6:13Speaker 3: if they don't have what you want, yeah, ask them
- 6:17Speaker 3: and if they if they can get their hands on it,
- 6:20Speaker 3: they will carry it for you, right, which I think
- 6:23Speaker 3: is amazing because you go to beverage barn and say hey,
- 6:26Speaker 3: can you carry They're like, nope, we got our list rap.
- 6:30Speaker 4: You know.
- 6:30Speaker 3: But over here I went in there and I told
- 6:33Speaker 3: him one of the things I enjoy getting and he said,
- 6:36Speaker 3: I don't know if I can get it, but if
- 6:38Speaker 3: I can, it'll be here for you.
- 6:40Speaker 4: Yeah, And to me, that's nice.
- 6:42Speaker 3: Plus it's always clean in there, yeah, very you know,
- 6:45Speaker 3: you don't feel like you're walking into anything other just
- 6:49Speaker 3: a nice tobacco and beer shop.
- 6:51Speaker 4: Sure, sure, so no complaints there, yeah, yeah. And then
- 6:57Speaker 4: I got stuck behind this. Yes, I'm getting text messages
- 7:02Speaker 4: here this morning that are flying in. Are you going
- 7:05Speaker 4: to talk about this? You're going to talk about that? Uh?
- 7:09Speaker 3: There's too much to talk about politically, Yeah, there's there's
- 7:13Speaker 3: so much the politically, from all the way at the
- 7:18Speaker 3: top down to the new elections and everything else we
- 7:21Speaker 3: just had.
- 7:22Speaker 4: It's just too much to talk about. Yesterday, with Trump
- 7:26Speaker 4: being in China and his his conversations and experience with
- 7:31Speaker 4: with UH Shijing, you know, just and all of this
- 7:41Speaker 4: talk about Taiwan and you know, potential conflict and oh
- 7:46Speaker 4: my god.
- 7:47Speaker 3: Well, yeah, they wanted to talk to Trump about him
- 7:52Speaker 3: releasing or giving permission for China to take Taiwan. Rump's answer,
- 7:57Speaker 3: Trump's chumps answer. Trump's answer was I don't want to
- 8:02Speaker 3: talk about Yeah. Yeah, that was his answer to them,
- 8:06Speaker 3: or at least that's what we were told. What's his answer. Well,
- 8:10Speaker 3: we know he could have turned Taiwan or right over
- 8:13Speaker 3: to them and not I heard.
- 8:14Speaker 4: I heard the SoundBite. That's that's what he was saying.
- 8:17Speaker 4: He's like, I don't want to talk about it.
- 8:18Speaker 3: Yeah, and you know, I think there's They had good
- 8:23Speaker 3: talks about the the Hamu's straight. Yep, they had good
- 8:28Speaker 3: talks about that. And when they were asked how did
- 8:32Speaker 3: it resolve, we had good talks. We haven't come up
- 8:35Speaker 3: with a conclusion, but we had good talks.
- 8:38Speaker 4: Okay. They were behind closed doors for over two hours
- 8:42Speaker 4: yesterday afternoon. Listen. I think there's something to be said
- 8:47Speaker 4: for anyone who exercises a little bit of strategic ambiguity.
- 8:55Speaker 4: I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Okay, I
- 9:00Speaker 4: don't if he says, If he says, I don't, you know,
- 9:03Speaker 4: I don't want to talk about that to the media
- 9:05Speaker 4: right now. That's just prerogative. Maybe there's there's conversations that
- 9:09Speaker 4: the two of them were having that we don't need
- 9:12Speaker 4: to be privy of right now. That's how I feel.
- 9:18Speaker 4: That they're working on big things, they're having some conversations,
- 9:21Speaker 4: and when they have some resolution on what they need
- 9:27Speaker 4: to talk about, then they'll make it public. That's how
- 9:30Speaker 4: I feel.
- 9:31Speaker 3: And you're entitled to that opinion, am I though you are.
- 9:35Speaker 3: I feel the same way as far as if you
- 9:38Speaker 3: get nothing to say, just don't say it, you know.
- 9:41Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 9:42Speaker 3: But unfortunately a lot of times they have something to say,
- 9:45Speaker 3: they finalize things, but they're not telling us.
- 9:47Speaker 4: They just do it. Like the war yep, you know
- 9:51Speaker 4: where it was like what where? What? Yeah?
- 9:55Speaker 3: So I think their lack of transparency on facts problem.
- 10:01Speaker 4: Yeah, But I also think that there should be at
- 10:06Speaker 4: times a little bit of lack of transparency. I think
- 10:09Speaker 4: so well.
- 10:10Speaker 3: I mean, if it's if it's something that's going to
- 10:12Speaker 3: make people going in uproar, right then you know, yeah,
- 10:17Speaker 3: unless necessary, don't don't cause a stir.
- 10:20Speaker 4: Exactly right, exactly, Yeah, what were we talking about jing ping?
- 10:29Speaker 4: Because untight? Yeah, that's the only thing I could think
- 10:32Speaker 4: when you say that, you know, I mean, you know
- 10:37Speaker 4: there there's also been quite a bit of chatter about, uh,
- 10:44Speaker 4: you know, some things that we've we've done to China
- 10:47Speaker 4: that Jijing ping is. I'm sorry, I have to say it,
- 10:54Speaker 4: missed the ping. I could if I say it slowly,
- 11:02Speaker 4: I'm gonna butcher it right, So you have to. You
- 11:05Speaker 4: have to say it one hundred miles.
- 11:06Speaker 3: An hour rolls pecause there are.
- 11:11Speaker 4: Things that we've done to uh China and still are
- 11:14Speaker 4: that are less than ingenuous, okay, and and vice versa.
- 11:25Speaker 4: We got spies over there, they got spies over here.
- 11:29Speaker 4: They're sniffing our ass as much as we're sniff of theirs. Yep,
- 11:35Speaker 4: we'll see. By the way, is sure why we got
- 11:39Speaker 4: on this, but go on. By the way, Trump lash
- 11:41Speaker 4: year authorized in eleven billion dollar arms sale to Taiwan
- 11:49Speaker 4: has yet to be delivered. Oh wow, you mentioned that package.
- 11:54Speaker 3: They can't even deliver the Trump Phone to the five
- 11:57Speaker 3: hundred people that ordered it a year a year and
- 12:01Speaker 3: a half ago. They even put I was seeing it
- 12:03Speaker 3: in the news they put freakin' you had to put
- 12:06Speaker 3: one hundred dollars down to reserve it and get on
- 12:09Speaker 3: the list, and it was coming out a certain time
- 12:13Speaker 3: and it didn't, so then it was rolling out another time.
- 12:15Speaker 4: And now it's been over a year.
- 12:17Speaker 3: Yeah, and five hundred people sent one hundred dollars in
- 12:21Speaker 3: for this phone that never happened. Yeah, and they didn't
- 12:25Speaker 3: get a refund and they weren't able to get a refund.
- 12:28Speaker 4: Interesting.
- 12:29Speaker 3: Yeah, So another one of those schemes that comes up
- 12:32Speaker 3: with the teen name in it.
- 12:34Speaker 4: I want to give a shout out this morning to
- 12:38Speaker 4: a long time presenting sponsor of the Aired Out podcast,
- 12:42Speaker 4: the first one, the first one that ever joined up
- 12:45Speaker 4: with me back in twenty eighteen, Gothier's Quality Grounds and Maintenance. Yep,
- 12:49Speaker 4: they've been mowing my lawn. They've been trimming weed, wacken, landscaping,
- 12:53Speaker 4: all of that stuff for eight years now. And this morning,
- 12:57Speaker 4: Ryan Cothier out there in the rain mowing. I don't
- 13:03Speaker 4: know about you, but the last thing I want to do,
- 13:06Speaker 4: especially in the morning, is be mowing in the rain.
- 13:12Speaker 4: In the rain.
- 13:13Speaker 3: Well, I personally, the last thing I ever want to
- 13:15Speaker 3: do is mow Okay, it's not my thing. And Jed
- 13:20Speaker 3: he does the mowing because he has his yard.
- 13:23Speaker 4: This is all his yard.
- 13:25Speaker 3: It's his grass, I tell them because I don't. I'm
- 13:28Speaker 3: not one for a lot of grass. I would rather
- 13:34Speaker 3: do other things on the yard than just grass. But
- 13:37Speaker 3: he has this thing about, well, if I have grass,
- 13:39Speaker 3: I'm going to keep it looking nice and stuff. So
- 13:41Speaker 3: God forbid you run over it with the tire. Just
- 13:44Speaker 3: run over it and keep going. No, it's like you
- 13:47Speaker 3: ran over a person in his world. So he loves
- 13:51Speaker 3: his grass and then he's like to go cut the lawn. Well,
- 13:54Speaker 3: if you love your grass, go cut your grass. I
- 13:57Speaker 3: like my flower beds and stuff.
- 13:58Speaker 4: And I weed them. So I want to talk about
- 14:03Speaker 4: what Tammy is talking about this morning, the Central Vermont Marketplace.
- 14:09Speaker 4: Annie Riley, great lady. Been in touch with her. We've
- 14:12Speaker 4: been chatting and I am going to be promoting the
- 14:15Speaker 4: crap out of this. And I know there's a couple
- 14:18Speaker 4: there's a few questions that folks have and I'm getting
- 14:21Speaker 4: the answers for you. This is something that's a little
- 14:23Speaker 4: fluid right now, but it's really coming together and I've
- 14:25Speaker 4: got all the facts right here. The Central Vermont Marketplace,
- 14:29Speaker 4: also known as the Berlin Mall okay, sure is having
- 14:35Speaker 4: a can't use that word, mall okay is having.
- 14:46Speaker 3: I like the way you flipped one to the other
- 14:48Speaker 3: and back again.
- 14:50Speaker 4: They're having a food truck event that is going to
- 14:53Speaker 4: start on Sunday, June seventh. And here's the thing. It's
- 14:58Speaker 4: going to be every Sunday, which I think is really cool.
- 15:02Speaker 4: That is pretty neat. It's from twelve noon to seven pm, okay,
- 15:07Speaker 4: so lunch and early Dennis nice, seven straight hours of
- 15:12Speaker 4: food trucks up there at the center of a Mont Marketplace,
- 15:15Speaker 4: which is a huge parking lot. That's what I wanted
- 15:19Speaker 4: to tell you, number one.
- 15:20Speaker 3: Why that parking lot so big when they are practically
- 15:23Speaker 3: no stores in it?
- 15:26Speaker 4: Starting June seventh, and that's a Sunday, it's going to
- 15:31Speaker 4: be at the We've had a lot of questions people
- 15:34Speaker 4: asking where exactly it's going to be. The back parking lot,
- 15:37Speaker 4: the back parking lot of the Central Mount Marketplace. So
- 15:44Speaker 4: it's behind Walmart, Yeat, not behind in front of Walmart.
- 15:51Speaker 4: Ohtad the back parking lot. It's the parking lot, but
- 15:55Speaker 4: it's toward it's towards the back where that it's there's
- 15:59Speaker 4: a road. It's basically a traveling I know exactly what
- 16:02Speaker 4: travel Okay, it's going to be down at that end,
- 16:06Speaker 4: obviously not at the front end. Right. These are the
- 16:09Speaker 4: food truck These are the food trucks. Yeah, it's going
- 16:11Speaker 4: to start there and it's going to trail to the east,
- 16:15Speaker 4: so towards like Coal's. That's where it's going to be.
- 16:20Speaker 4: They've already got and Annie was telling me last night,
- 16:23Speaker 4: they've already got Filipino food, they've got Mexican, they've got
- 16:27Speaker 4: ye tacos, barbecue, donuts. Res energy is going to be there.
- 16:33Speaker 4: It's really going to be something else. I'm going to
- 16:37Speaker 4: give you the phone number if you would like to
- 16:38Speaker 4: be a vendor, Okay, And now I'm seeing that there's
- 16:45Speaker 4: a vineyard in the Champlain Valley that's going to be
- 16:50Speaker 4: coming into so you can go there and have some
- 16:51Speaker 4: wine too. Yeah. Two seven to two ten sixty six
- 16:57Speaker 4: is the phone number that you want to call if
- 16:59Speaker 4: you want to be a vendor or if you need
- 17:00Speaker 4: more info. Two seven to ten sixty six, all right,
- 17:07Speaker 4: And I'm also going to put Annie's email uh in
- 17:14Speaker 4: on on air down right, so we.
- 17:15Speaker 3: Have always to all different ways to contact exactly.
- 17:20Speaker 4: So that's that's basically what I know. And again this
- 17:25Speaker 4: starts Sunday, June seventh, and they're doing it. They're doing
- 17:29Speaker 4: it on Sundays because a lot of restaurants are closed
- 17:31Speaker 4: right Sundays, right, and we.
- 17:35Speaker 3: Can get more traffic into that.
- 17:38Speaker 4: That strip of stores. That's right, speaking of food trucks,
- 17:43Speaker 4: the farmers market right here in Berry Currier Park. The
- 17:48Speaker 4: food trucks, the farmers Market and the live music is
- 17:52Speaker 4: going to be starting up June third, and that will
- 17:54Speaker 4: run every Wednesday night through September at Curier Park. The
- 18:00Speaker 4: schedule of who exactly is going to be playing, who
- 18:04Speaker 4: the musicians are should be out next week, so I'll
- 18:09Speaker 4: let you know as soon as I know. All right,
- 18:13Speaker 4: there's so much going on this weekend. Can I run
- 18:16Speaker 4: down a couple of things you can have at it?
- 18:18Speaker 4: It's Friday, and I want to make sure people know
- 18:20Speaker 4: about it. You do whatever you need to do. Tomorrow morning,
- 18:25Speaker 4: the VFW Post seven ninety right here in Barry starts
- 18:29Speaker 4: serving up their breakfast. I think they do this once
- 18:31Speaker 4: a month and it's exceptionally good. Have been there had
- 18:34Speaker 4: It starts at seven thirty in the morning, and I
- 18:38Speaker 4: think it goes to like eleven o'clock VFW Post seven
- 18:41Speaker 4: ninety right down the road. Speaking of the VFW, they
- 18:45Speaker 4: also have a pig roast that's coming up, a big
- 18:47Speaker 4: fundraiser for the Barry Area Veterans Council, which is of
- 18:53Speaker 4: course the Elks, the VFW, the American Legion, the Sons
- 18:57Speaker 4: of Civil War. So that's big Burry Area Veterans Council
- 19:03Speaker 4: benefiting from this pig roast. These are the organizations that
- 19:08Speaker 4: hang up the flags on North Main Street. Yes, these
- 19:13Speaker 4: are the organizations that create and organize and orchestrate the
- 19:21Speaker 4: Memorial Day celebration here in Barry the Veterans Day parades,
- 19:26Speaker 4: so really important organizations. Please if he can come out
- 19:31Speaker 4: and support them and enjoy the pig roast. The date
- 19:34Speaker 4: on it, May twenty third, May two three, okay, pretty sure?
- 19:42Speaker 4: Coming right up, Yeah, right around the corner. I know,
- 19:45Speaker 4: all right, Donna Thunder is going to be there playing.
- 19:48Speaker 4: She just had a knee replacement surgery and she's gonna
- 19:51Speaker 4: be out there. I don't know how she does it.
- 19:53Speaker 4: I don't know. You want to get tickets, get them
- 19:56Speaker 4: at the Elks, the VFW the American Legion. All right,
- 20:00Speaker 4: that's uh, that's a big thing. Of course this weekend
- 20:03Speaker 4: on Sunday, Bikers for Beth. This is big man. You're
- 20:08Speaker 4: not doing it. I'm not going to be doing it
- 20:11Speaker 4: this year, but it's it's a big deal. Man. There's
- 20:14Speaker 4: gonna be a lot of motorcyclists out there. Please be careful,
- 20:18Speaker 4: give them plenty of space to your horn, give them
- 20:20Speaker 4: a wave, show them support and Chuck Leeford Joe Edson,
- 20:26Speaker 4: two great guys that are benefiting this year from Bikers
- 20:29Speaker 4: for Beth. Amazing, amazing, what else? What else? What else?
- 20:36Speaker 4: Amy's Armoir? Amy, Yeah, you and I both are big fans. Yeah.
- 20:42Speaker 4: They're having their amazing race, their fifth year anniversary. They
- 20:48Speaker 4: need prizes. This is a fund racer for Amy's Armoir.
- 20:52Speaker 4: That's coming up. I'm hoping to get Amy on the air.
- 20:56Speaker 4: I'm gonna probably just it's easier for me to just
- 20:59Speaker 4: it's easier for her for me to just run over
- 21:01Speaker 4: there and throw a microphone interface, which I'm probably just
- 21:04Speaker 4: going to do that because I love promoting Amy's arm more.
- 21:09Speaker 4: But that's coming up. I also want to say that
- 21:14Speaker 4: I've been working with Washington County Mental Health, which as
- 21:17Speaker 4: you know, has been a presenting sponsor for a very
- 21:20Speaker 4: long time here, and we have connected in with some
- 21:26Speaker 4: folks that are part of Washington County Mental Health who
- 21:29Speaker 4: have intellectual disabilities. They are in the process of creating
- 21:34Speaker 4: their own podcast right here. I'm so excited about, very
- 21:38Speaker 4: exciting the learning collaborative podcast and they're coming in here.
- 21:44Speaker 4: They're learning about podcasting and just all of it nice
- 21:49Speaker 4: microphone use and topic and conversation and everything. And I'm
- 21:54Speaker 4: really excited for these folks to be able to do this. Yeah,
- 22:00Speaker 4: watch for that because it's going to be launching here momentarily,
- 22:05Speaker 4: very very soon. What else, Gee, God, I don't know
- 22:11Speaker 4: what else. What's at the bottom of your page. There's
- 22:15Speaker 4: just so much going There's so many take it like,
- 22:17Speaker 4: there's so many things I want to talking about. Central
- 22:19Speaker 4: Vermont Home Health and Hospice their annual town funding from
- 22:23Speaker 4: Berry City in Barry toown. They are so blessed to
- 22:28Speaker 4: have been given the green light for this town funding. Yeah,
- 22:31Speaker 4: it's a big, big deal. They serve twenty three towns,
- 22:36Speaker 4: oh damn in Central Vermont. Central Vermont Home Health and
- 22:40Speaker 4: Hospice also presenting sponsor has been for a long time here,
- 22:45Speaker 4: and man, we're screwed without him, right, It's not just
- 22:51Speaker 4: the visiting nurses, it's so far beyond that.
- 22:55Speaker 3: Yes, what happens during and after I experienced that whole
- 23:00Speaker 3: thing with a family member, I had to I had
- 23:03Speaker 3: to deal with making the calls saying that it happened
- 23:08Speaker 3: after they've been coming week after week, sure, and then
- 23:11Speaker 3: them coming and doing all everything just to make it
- 23:15Speaker 3: easier for us not have to deal with it.
- 23:18Speaker 4: So they were really good, tirelessly. There is so much
- 23:22Speaker 4: going on at Central Mount Home Health and Hospice behind
- 23:24Speaker 4: the scenes. It's unbelievable. And they're huge. Annual golf tournament
- 23:29Speaker 4: is coming up really soon. Nice, Okay, Yeah, where's it
- 23:33Speaker 4: going to be? The Berry Country Club? Or I should
- 23:37Speaker 4: say I should say the Country Club of Barry, because
- 23:41Speaker 4: every time I say the Berry Country Club, I get
- 23:43Speaker 4: somebody corrects me. Yeah, Jed loves playing golf there. Well,
- 23:48Speaker 4: maybe we should we should go down there. Maybe you
- 23:50Speaker 4: should get him involved in anything. You won't see me
- 23:53Speaker 4: swinging a golf club unless it's at your head. Yeah,
- 23:56Speaker 4: I'm telling you I don't swing golf club.
- 24:00Speaker 3: We probably wouldn't even get to the green.
- 24:02Speaker 4: Now, why watch.
- 24:05Speaker 3: Bulls fly all over the place where we can drop
- 24:08Speaker 3: off Jed and then go someplace and have a good
- 24:10Speaker 3: time and then come back at the end and we'll
- 24:13Speaker 3: broadcast at the beginning. In the end, it looked like
- 24:16Speaker 3: we were there the whole time. Yeah, but when eighteen
- 24:19Speaker 3: holes had done welcome.
- 24:20Speaker 4: Back, did you just say balls flying all over the place?
- 24:24Speaker 4: All over the place. As I was saying it, I said,
- 24:29Speaker 4: oh shit, he's going to pick up on that. Yes,
- 24:34Speaker 4: Stacy's reminding us don't forget to buy your tickets for
- 24:37Speaker 4: the Post ten kitchen reconstruction project available at Post ten,
- 24:43Speaker 4: Barry Elks Lodge and the VFW Post seven ninety. Very important.
- 24:47Speaker 4: We just said Bob Campo in here and Steve England
- 24:50Speaker 4: talking about this. This is a huge benefit because they
- 24:52Speaker 4: lost their kitchen in the flood. Yeah, we're talking like
- 24:57Speaker 4: industrial stoves, ovens all. It's a lot of money. So
- 25:02Speaker 4: that's coming up as well. Thank you Stacy for the
- 25:05Speaker 4: for the reminder. Thanks Stacy for doing his job from Florida.
- 25:10Speaker 4: From Florida. Yeah, what else the news yesterday about this
- 25:19Speaker 4: this guy from Danville child sex abuse? Oh? Please, did
- 25:27Speaker 4: you read the story?
- 25:28Speaker 3: I don't when when I read things like that, I
- 25:31Speaker 3: just have to pull out because I don't want to
- 25:33Speaker 3: know all the details. And God knows how much of
- 25:37Speaker 3: its fabricated, or God knows how much of it is
- 25:40Speaker 3: sensationalized by the news. So I don't care to know.
- 25:46Speaker 4: I know of this story, but I don't know. I
- 25:49Speaker 4: started to read it. It makes me, It just makes
- 25:53Speaker 4: my stomach so uncomfortable. I have I have things in
- 25:57Speaker 4: my head that when I hear about people that are
- 26:00Speaker 4: child sex abusers, I have things in my head that
- 26:06Speaker 4: I could probably never allow to make its way to
- 26:10Speaker 4: the microphone, right because.
- 26:12Speaker 3: Now now because we can't, you know, we can't. It's
- 26:18Speaker 3: just not a topic I want to talk about. Yeah,
- 26:21Speaker 3: so moving right along. Yeah, I'll talk about it in
- 26:24Speaker 3: a conversation, but I won't talk about.
- 26:26Speaker 4: It just off the cop But go on, move along.
- 26:28Speaker 4: I was in Williston yesterday and oh my god, this
- 26:33Speaker 4: the just the the hubub and the chaos and everything
- 26:37Speaker 4: hubbub about this anti ice protest that was happening. UH.
- 26:42Speaker 4: These activists were arrested, they were carried out of the
- 26:45Speaker 4: UH of the ICE office in Willston. It was just nuts,
- 26:50Speaker 4: just nuts. The whole place was just buzzing, and I
- 26:53Speaker 4: was just like, you know what, just get me the
- 26:55Speaker 4: hell out of here, really, And sometimes I just I'm
- 27:03Speaker 4: gonna bite my tongue, okay, unless you want to air
- 27:08Speaker 4: it out. I do, but it's like, God, but it's Friday.
- 27:14Speaker 4: It's Friday.
- 27:15Speaker 3: Yeah, hell wants to air up that crap on a Friday?
- 27:18Speaker 4: I know, I know. It was so great to have
- 27:21Speaker 4: Casey Thresher on the air yesterday. Yesterday morning she came on.
- 27:25Speaker 4: She's from the Upper Valley Adult Daycare. They've got a
- 27:28Speaker 4: huge senior prom y that's coming up, big fundraiser for
- 27:34Speaker 4: the seniors over there, and they just it's in Queechee.
- 27:38Speaker 4: They do such a great job. Yeah, it works so
- 27:40Speaker 4: hard and it's just a wonderful thing. And I loved
- 27:43Speaker 4: having her on the area yesterday, you know.
- 27:45Speaker 3: And it's funny because people here all prom and all
- 27:48Speaker 3: the adults are like, here we go with the prom season,
- 27:51Speaker 3: bab ba ba. But you know what, the prom was
- 27:54Speaker 3: probably one of the most exciting things yep, that most
- 27:59Speaker 3: eights looked forward to at the end of their senior class.
- 28:03Speaker 4: It was the thing. So when we were younger, we
- 28:07Speaker 4: were like, oh, we're going to the prom.
- 28:08Speaker 3: We all put on those prom outfits and everything, and
- 28:12Speaker 3: we're excited. So now that we're older, we shouldn't be like, oh,
- 28:16Speaker 3: the prom. You should be excited for the kids who
- 28:19Speaker 3: are graduating and are looking forward to this night being
- 28:23Speaker 3: super special. So don't everybody always roll their eys when
- 28:27Speaker 3: they hear because if I bring up the word problem,
- 28:29Speaker 3: oh it's promising, and people are like, I know, and
- 28:33Speaker 3: I'm like, why they're excited.
- 28:35Speaker 4: I'm excited for them.
- 28:36Speaker 3: This is the new generation. I'm hoping for the best
- 28:40Speaker 3: and I'm excited for that.
- 28:42Speaker 4: Sure. Patty O'Neill's saying, Hey, gee, Patty, how are you?
- 28:47Speaker 3: Gosh, Patty, I haven't seen you, and I think we
- 28:51Speaker 3: run into each other once every ten years.
- 28:53Speaker 4: You know, Patty, I do know, Patty? Really? Why not?
- 28:56Speaker 4: No kidding? Why can't I Why can't I set with
- 28:59Speaker 4: her at the at the at the fights in Burlington?
- 29:03Speaker 4: Oh she ent, yeah, good for her? Yeah, and her
- 29:06Speaker 4: daughter Caitlin.
- 29:07Speaker 3: You know what's on this Saturday night? Ronda ROWSI, Oh
- 29:11Speaker 3: my god, that's Saturday night. That's Saturday night. It's coming
- 29:15Speaker 3: on tomorrow night. Oh my god, are you the event?
- 29:18Speaker 3: Starts at nine.
- 29:19Speaker 4: Are you watching?
- 29:20Speaker 3: Oh god, yeah, Jed night, Oh my god, Oh yeah,
- 29:23Speaker 3: that's our thing. We watch every every Saturday night. We
- 29:26Speaker 3: watch the m m as yeah, and all the fight
- 29:29Speaker 3: cards up until it goes through midnight. Yeah, and we'll
- 29:32Speaker 3: stay up till midnight to watch, you know, the final
- 29:35Speaker 3: title match and all that stuff. But we've been talking
- 29:38Speaker 3: him and I about Ronda ROWSI and I forgot the
- 29:42Speaker 3: other one's name.
- 29:44Speaker 4: She's been in a little hiatus for a while though.
- 29:46Speaker 3: You know, when Ronda lost her title, she she became
- 29:51Speaker 3: a little bitch baby, you know, and a lot of
- 29:53Speaker 3: people are like, are you serious, Fonda, you lost it?
- 29:56Speaker 4: Move on?
- 29:57Speaker 3: You know, we gained it back and she retired and
- 30:00Speaker 3: she went into this whole funk and and I was like, god,
- 30:04Speaker 3: I wasn't impressed with her. So when I saw her
- 30:06Speaker 3: about a month ago and I said to Jet, is
- 30:08Speaker 3: that Ronda lousy? And he said yeah, I was like,
- 30:11Speaker 3: oh God, what is she? Why is she even on
- 30:13Speaker 3: the TV? He says she's fighting again? And I forgot
- 30:17Speaker 3: who it was a Corral. It's it's Gina Gina Carrera,
- 30:24Speaker 3: right Carrano?
- 30:25Speaker 4: Right? Love her? According to according to a guy that's
- 30:29Speaker 4: commenting this morning. Someone put the name of Jeff, Yes,
- 30:32Speaker 4: Jef fourbus.
- 30:32Speaker 3: Right, and she's very talented and she's been on hiatus,
- 30:38Speaker 3: so the two of them are going to come out
- 30:40Speaker 3: and basically see once and for all who's who's the
- 30:45Speaker 3: real champion. But god, Ronda disappointed me for a long time.
- 30:50Speaker 3: But now she's out and we're going to watch tomorrow night. Okay,
- 30:53Speaker 3: looking forward to it. No on, go back to your fights,
- 30:56Speaker 3: and not at nine o'clock.
- 30:58Speaker 4: It's the room on the couch for me of course.
- 31:02Speaker 3: Of course absolutely, Michael leaves, so it's just us, so
- 31:06Speaker 3: you can come and the three of us will watch it.
- 31:09Speaker 4: Well, it's nine o'clock. I mean, if you know when
- 31:11Speaker 4: you've been when you've been drinking wine since ten o'clock
- 31:13Speaker 4: in the morning, you got to go to bed at
- 31:15Speaker 4: seven o'clock. Oh god, awesome. Listen one of the one
- 31:24Speaker 4: of the other things. And I know we're all over
- 31:26Speaker 4: the road this morning, and that's fine. That I'm excited
- 31:29Speaker 4: about is the Upper Valley Cars and Coffee. And I
- 31:34Speaker 4: was watching their page last night. They are working on
- 31:37Speaker 4: some pretty big car shows. Yeah, you told me. I'm
- 31:41Speaker 4: really really excited about it. It's going to be great.
- 31:43Speaker 4: It's gonna be just fantastic. Nice.
- 31:46Speaker 3: You know, we're probably gonna have to go when they
- 31:49Speaker 3: finally open, because I would love to see would you.
- 31:53Speaker 4: Oh?
- 31:53Speaker 3: Absolutely absolutely, And we should talk about it more so
- 31:57Speaker 3: people know as we get more information, and we'll give
- 32:00Speaker 3: you the information there go and maybe we can all
- 32:03Speaker 3: meet down there.
- 32:04Speaker 4: Oh my god, that would be so much fun, all
- 32:06Speaker 4: the all.
- 32:07Speaker 3: The podcast listeners in the area. Once we know where
- 32:10Speaker 3: it's gonna be, let's all meet down there and have
- 32:13Speaker 3: coffee and say hello, and and and do a cast show.
- 32:16Speaker 4: Okay, love that can what was the name of the place.
- 32:20Speaker 4: It's Upper Valley Cars and Coffee. Nice? Can we can?
- 32:24Speaker 4: We can we talk a little bit this morning about
- 32:30Speaker 4: our feature that we love to do together on Friday morning.
- 32:32Speaker 3: Yeah, and you have a very specific one from what
- 32:35Speaker 3: I understand, What burns my Ass?
- 32:37Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 32:38Speaker 3: And I was supposed to remind you, but I don't remember, So.
- 32:40Speaker 4: It's called what burns my ass? YEP. Now, if you're
- 32:46Speaker 4: one of these folks that are like, oh my god,
- 32:50Speaker 4: I can't believe GD just said that a.
- 32:53Speaker 3: Word, then they're gonna hate the word fuck ass.
- 33:00Speaker 4: I'm just saying we all have an ass that's weird,
- 33:09Speaker 4: and many times it gets burned by something. Oh yeah,
- 33:15Speaker 4: and we get kicked off too easily. This is our moment,
- 33:21Speaker 4: our therapy to vent get something off my chest. Go ahead,
- 33:30Speaker 4: and your just And it's often something that I just
- 33:35Speaker 4: don't I don't understand I have I'm struggling to understand.
- 33:41Speaker 4: Here's what it is. Okay, I was recently in a sauna.
- 33:50Speaker 4: We've talked about etiquette at the gas pumps, We've talked
- 33:55Speaker 4: about etiquette when you're waiting in line at the grocery store,
- 33:58Speaker 4: equette on a cruise, etiquette. Yes, we've talked about a
- 34:01Speaker 4: lot of common sense type of things. Things we were
- 34:05Speaker 4: toy when we were young, right when you're in when
- 34:09Speaker 4: you're in a public sauna, it can be a little weird.
- 34:14Speaker 4: It was co ed. So there's just certain things that
- 34:21Speaker 4: I think you just I don't know, maybe shouldn't do
- 34:28Speaker 4: in a sauna. Yeah, maybe you should, I don't know.
- 34:32Speaker 4: Just just be cognizant of.
- 34:35Speaker 3: Keep your hands outside the towel. Yes, that's one of
- 34:41Speaker 3: the thank you. I wasn't expecting that there's this guy.
- 34:48Speaker 3: There's this guy in there and he's.
- 34:51Speaker 4: Wearing a sweatsuit very similar to the one you're wearing
- 34:57Speaker 4: right now, let's show everyone again catching bottoms and top thick, thick,
- 35:03Speaker 4: thick quality sweatsuit in a in a sauna. He was
- 35:08Speaker 4: sweating for weight weight loss, don't I don't know? Okay,
- 35:13Speaker 4: but you know, if if I were a doctor, which
- 35:17Speaker 4: I'm very much not a doctor, I would be like,
- 35:19Speaker 4: you know, is this is this? Is there a safety
- 35:23Speaker 4: thing here? Is this? Is this bad for your health?
- 35:25Speaker 4: Should you be wearing a sweatsuit in a in a sauna?
- 35:30Speaker 4: Maybe for some right I would think that that would
- 35:34Speaker 4: constitute overheating and maybe uh heat exhaustion, You're gonna faint,
- 35:41Speaker 4: blood pressure, heart rate, all of these. I don't know, right,
- 35:45Speaker 4: but I walk in and I'm like, all right, why
- 35:47Speaker 4: is this guy wearing his sweatsuit? Then he starts in
- 35:52Speaker 4: with with this you ready, true, he's in the he's
- 35:57Speaker 4: in the sauna, and this is what this is what
- 35:58Speaker 4: we're getting Okay. And this was on about a about
- 36:03Speaker 4: a ten to fifteen second cycle. Okare we go? It
- 36:08Speaker 4: gets you're smiling already here we go? Ready? Sure? So
- 36:12Speaker 4: what we got? What the hell is he doing? Every
- 36:41Speaker 4: fifteen seconds? Something from his sweat suit. I'm like, buddy,
- 36:46Speaker 4: first of all, you got some ginger ittis because I'm
- 36:52Speaker 4: smelling the breath. No Number one. Okay, you're exhaling all
- 36:58Speaker 4: of you, not only your bad bath, but you're frankly,
- 37:01Speaker 4: you're you're you're your germs in a confined environment. Yep,
- 37:08Speaker 4: and you're not. He's not just going right right, he's
- 37:14Speaker 4: going yep. I wish I could get a close up
- 37:20Speaker 4: of you two. I'm like, dude, if you're suffering that much,
- 37:28Speaker 4: get out.
- 37:30Speaker 3: No, he's it's probably a routine, he does.
- 37:34Speaker 4: Yeah, then I'm not done. Oh no. Then a woman
- 37:41Speaker 4: walks in with not a kid, not a kid. Worse,
- 37:49Speaker 4: what could it possibly be? A phone? Thank you? Because
- 37:52Speaker 4: they're stupid. Cell phone? Yeah, great for the cell phone
- 37:59Speaker 4: sits down. Oh I'm telling you, you're not gonna believe this.
- 38:04Speaker 4: Sits down, not on the lower level, the higher level
- 38:07Speaker 4: where it's really hot. Okay, sits down and starts swiping
- 38:17Speaker 4: looking around on the cell phone, and then she starts.
- 38:21Speaker 3: In, yes, listener, that's JD in your ear, And.
- 38:35Speaker 4: I'm just like, is this really happening right now? Yeah?
- 38:42Speaker 4: Then are you ready?
- 38:43Speaker 2: No?
- 38:45Speaker 4: The phone rings? Worse, it didn't ring. Oh my god, no,
- 38:51Speaker 4: I think that would have been the absolute worst. You
- 38:53Speaker 4: know what it does. The phone says, Hey, I've been
- 38:59Speaker 4: in here for twelve minutes. Yeah, this is way too
- 39:04Speaker 4: hot for me. Yeah, I'm powering down. Yep, I might
- 39:10Speaker 4: have a problem. I might overheat, I might catch on fire.
- 39:14Speaker 4: I'm going into safety mode. I know I'm talking in
- 39:17Speaker 4: the first person as a cell phone right now, because
- 39:21Speaker 4: I'm clearly cell phones talk.
- 39:23Speaker 5: They do.
- 39:25Speaker 4: And her phone powers down because it's overheating. Tell me,
- 39:30Speaker 4: she puts, tell me she puts on a production about that.
- 39:36Speaker 4: That's exactly what happened. Oh my god. She went just
- 39:39Speaker 4: like this, oh oh oh, oh, oh you serious? And
- 39:51Speaker 4: it was all I could do to just not look
- 39:55Speaker 4: over at her and say, honey, you brought yourself phone
- 40:01Speaker 4: into the sauna. Gee. Cell phones aren't made for saunas.
- 40:08Speaker 3: It's like bringing the cell phone to a pool. Hello,
- 40:12Speaker 3: do you well, you can bring it to the pool
- 40:15Speaker 3: the pool deck, But do you need to get in the.
- 40:17Speaker 4: Pool with the cell phone? People do though? Are we
- 40:21Speaker 4: that tethered?
- 40:22Speaker 3: But yes, oh my gosh, yes, are you kidding? People can't,
- 40:29Speaker 3: especially the young generation. They cannot take their eyes away
- 40:33Speaker 3: from the screen.
- 40:34Speaker 4: We've talked about this. We've talked about this, and it's.
- 40:39Speaker 3: Funny because yesterday on a show, my brother watches The
- 40:42Speaker 3: Family Feud.
- 40:43Speaker 4: That's his thing.
- 40:44Speaker 3: He loves that show, So it doesn't love it. It's
- 40:48Speaker 3: kind of a thing for him anyway. So that on
- 40:50Speaker 3: the Family Feud, we were cooking, my husband and I
- 40:52Speaker 3: and we were listening and one of the questions was
- 40:56Speaker 3: for the twenty thousand dollars, how confident from one.
- 41:00Speaker 4: To ten are you.
- 41:04Speaker 3: That our younger generation is learning and practicing the behaviors
- 41:10Speaker 3: that we learned when we were young. In other words,
- 41:13Speaker 3: how confident are you to trust the young generation?
- 41:18Speaker 4: Interesting?
- 41:20Speaker 3: And the answer one to ten? That was because they
- 41:24Speaker 3: survey people. Yep, two, that's how confident the world is
- 41:33Speaker 3: or we are about the young generation. That the answer
- 41:39Speaker 3: was two. And I was like, two, people are only
- 41:43Speaker 3: on one to ten ten being the most confident.
- 41:46Speaker 4: You're two. You kids are two. And then I watched
- 41:50Speaker 4: them walking in the streets looking at their phones and
- 41:53Speaker 4: not looking up, not even to wave. Have you ever
- 41:56Speaker 4: seen anyone trip? Oh my god, yes on the curb
- 42:01Speaker 4: because they were yeah, because they didn't see the curb,
- 42:04Speaker 4: you know, people have been hit by cars. Yeah, well,
- 42:08Speaker 4: if you're not in the crosswalk, first of all, that
- 42:10Speaker 4: burns my ass.
- 42:11Speaker 3: We have crosswalks for a reason. Yeah, okay, And you
- 42:16Speaker 3: can't even you can't count on those crosswalks. People cost
- 42:21Speaker 3: five between this cosswalk and this people five different places
- 42:26Speaker 3: they cross. So you can't go down Main Street or
- 42:30Speaker 3: anything else. You can't even go down at twenty five
- 42:32Speaker 3: because that's speed limit.
- 42:33Speaker 4: You can't.
- 42:34Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, because you don't know when somebody's gonna jump
- 42:38Speaker 3: out like a deer. And the people that do that
- 42:41Speaker 3: is the young generation. They don't care. They're loud in public,
- 42:46Speaker 3: they're disrespectful because if you look at them wrong, they
- 42:49Speaker 3: start talking about you.
- 42:50Speaker 4: You're the adult.
- 42:52Speaker 3: They're all of sixteen, and they're talking and laughing and
- 42:56Speaker 3: picking on and no, hang.
- 42:57Speaker 4: On a second, no, no, not gonna hang out. You're
- 43:01Speaker 4: gonna hang on. You're gonna you're gonna hang on. Kids
- 43:04Speaker 4: of today are just not but you're ready. You're cool.
- 43:08Speaker 4: When let's put it this way, grouping them all together,
- 43:10Speaker 4: you keep saying they.
- 43:12Speaker 3: Kids, that's not all of them. Listen, it's most of them,
- 43:16Speaker 3: most most kids of today. Okay, they're the ones that
- 43:23Speaker 3: are gonna grow up when we're dead. They're replacing us.
- 43:28Speaker 3: And if they're so self centered and self deserving in
- 43:33Speaker 3: their mind, okay, and they're so in love with themselves
- 43:37Speaker 3: that they can't see what's going on around them, and
- 43:42Speaker 3: they're gonna be.
- 43:43Speaker 4: The leaders of tomorrow.
- 43:44Speaker 3: I know what you're saying, and it just scares me
- 43:47Speaker 3: because a lot of us adults, a lot of us
- 43:49Speaker 3: adults have have kind of a fear of what these
- 43:54Speaker 3: kids are gonna do. Now I'm not saying I mean,
- 43:56Speaker 3: there are people out there that have great kids, people
- 44:00Speaker 3: out there who raise them with values. I know Chuck
- 44:03Speaker 3: spends time raising his kid with values. I know Rex
- 44:06Speaker 3: is very big into instilling values. Whether it sticks or
- 44:10Speaker 3: not is not our problem. Our problem is to give
- 44:13Speaker 3: as much as we can to them. But most of
- 44:18Speaker 3: the majority, So this way I'll take out people say,
- 44:21Speaker 3: not my kid, not my most the majority the kids.
- 44:26Speaker 4: Are not as respectful.
- 44:31Speaker 3: You know, if you bump into a kid online, they
- 44:34Speaker 3: turn and look and you're like gosh, and they walk away.
- 44:37Speaker 3: If I bumped into an adult when I was a
- 44:39Speaker 3: kid online, and I bumped into an adult, I'd be like,
- 44:42Speaker 3: I'm sorry, ma'am.
- 44:44Speaker 4: Not anymore. It's not like that, Taylor says, But a
- 44:48Speaker 4: lot of adults are just as, if not worse.
- 44:53Speaker 3: Well, yeah, we have Donald Trump that should say it
- 44:55Speaker 3: all and his administration. Telly, you're right, But what I'm
- 44:59Speaker 3: saying the younger people call them out. It's us younger
- 45:04Speaker 3: people that gets shit on. Okay, we're not going to
- 45:08Speaker 3: we're not going to get into a personal thing. She's
- 45:11Speaker 3: got a good point, she's got a great point.
- 45:14Speaker 4: Okay.
- 45:15Speaker 3: The bottom line of what I'm saying is that I'm
- 45:18Speaker 3: finding that the younger generation of today, and I'm talking
- 45:24Speaker 3: to five year olds, the ten year olds, the twelve
- 45:26Speaker 3: year olds, the fourteen year olds, they.
- 45:29Speaker 4: Just don't know how to show respect.
- 45:33Speaker 3: You know, when I come to your house, your daughter
- 45:35Speaker 3: leaves the other room to come in and say, hi, ge,
- 45:39Speaker 3: how are you?
- 45:39Speaker 4: And I'm like, good, how are you? Honey? Oh I'm good,
- 45:42Speaker 4: Nice to see you, and then.
- 45:43Speaker 3: She goes back in her room. I don't get that
- 45:46Speaker 3: from a lot of parents' kids. When I go over,
- 45:51Speaker 3: I'm like, oh, your kids here, Oh yeah, they're that
- 45:53Speaker 3: one's in there playing a video game and I'm like, hey,
- 45:57Speaker 3: how's it going.
- 45:57Speaker 4: They just keep playing. They don't even answer you yeah,
- 46:00Speaker 4: or hear you. Yeah.
- 46:02Speaker 3: I know if somebody came into my mother and father's
- 46:05Speaker 3: house and we were in the living room and we
- 46:07Speaker 3: did not go say hello. So those values are not
- 46:12Speaker 3: instilled anymore. The values of a child sitting in a restaurant, yeah,
- 46:17Speaker 3: and eating like a normal person. But instead the parents
- 46:21Speaker 3: are eating and their five year old is running up
- 46:24Speaker 3: and down the aisles and they're going, oh, look, how cute.
- 46:28Speaker 4: That's not cute. It's not cute.
- 46:32Speaker 3: It's irritating and annoying, especially when you run into people
- 46:35Speaker 3: who don't like kids.
- 46:37Speaker 4: Yeah. You know. I was talking to somebody who is like,
- 46:40Speaker 4: there's a reason I didn't have kids. Yeah, yeah, okay,
- 46:44Speaker 4: if you have a kid, that's your.
- 46:45Speaker 3: Responsibility to teach that child. But the younger generation, oh,
- 46:50Speaker 3: it's cute. Oh, don't play in the sand, it's dirty.
- 46:56Speaker 3: Don't play in the sand, it's dirty. Oh my god,
- 47:00Speaker 3: you got mud on your shoes.
- 47:02Speaker 4: Yes, I did.
- 47:03Speaker 3: I'm a kid.
- 47:07Speaker 4: My father when another adult would walk into the room,
- 47:12Speaker 4: no matter where we were at her house or at
- 47:16Speaker 4: a restaurant or whatever, my dad would look at me.
- 47:18Speaker 4: I still remember, man, he'd look at me and he'd
- 47:20Speaker 4: go yeah, which meant stand up, yeah and extend my
- 47:27Speaker 4: hand Yep, it's nice to beat you, right, absolutely, Yeah,
- 47:33Speaker 4: I know man. You know i'd go out in public.
- 47:35Speaker 3: Before I left the house, my mother would give me
- 47:38Speaker 3: a look and be like, back upstairs, go get dressed.
- 47:43Speaker 4: Back upstairs, I am dressed. Not like that.
- 47:45Speaker 3: You're not going in public. My son doesn't walk around
- 47:49Speaker 3: with that in public. And I think that's the thing
- 47:53Speaker 3: that could be a key to why we were raised
- 47:55Speaker 3: a little different.
- 47:56Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 47:56Speaker 3: Right, because our parents took pride in us. Yeah, and
- 48:01Speaker 3: they wanted us to reflect them.
- 48:05Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 48:06Speaker 3: Okay, So they were like, listen, when I'm home, Yeah,
- 48:09Speaker 3: I'm in a house coat.
- 48:10Speaker 4: Who cares? And my mother was like, I'm at home. Yeah.
- 48:14Speaker 3: But when I'd be like, Mom, you know, I need
- 48:16Speaker 3: to get dropped off. Let me go take a shower.
- 48:20Speaker 3: I just need to be dropped or I'm going to
- 48:22Speaker 3: take a shower and get dressed and then we'll go.
- 48:25Speaker 4: I mean, she wasn't stumbling out of the house with
- 48:27Speaker 4: her SpongeBob SquarePants, no Amazon, no. And you know what,
- 48:33Speaker 4: I have no problem with that.
- 48:34Speaker 3: I have no problem with anybody you want to run
- 48:36Speaker 3: down to the corner store in your pajamas on a
- 48:38Speaker 3: Saturday morning.
- 48:40Speaker 4: You do your Saturday morning Yeah, yes, yeah, you guys
- 48:44Speaker 4: do you. But the bottom line is, but not a
- 48:47Speaker 4: Tuesday afternoon at three o'clock.
- 48:49Speaker 3: I went out with a friend the other day and
- 48:52Speaker 3: there was a child with this attitude and I was
- 48:55Speaker 3: just like ignoring it completely. And then the woman, the
- 49:00Speaker 3: child's mother, asked the person to counter about something and
- 49:03Speaker 3: the person said no, and she's like, well then why
- 49:06Speaker 3: you even open?
- 49:07Speaker 4: Oh my god, She's like, this was the total waste.
- 49:10Speaker 3: And as she's leaving, the girl, the daughter, who couldn't
- 49:14Speaker 3: have been more than eleven or twelve, which going like
- 49:17Speaker 3: this oh as she was walking out looking at the person,
- 49:23Speaker 3: and I was like, well, no, wonder why the kids
- 49:25Speaker 3: are the way today, Because the twenty and twenty two
- 49:28Speaker 3: year old kids that have children are so disrespectfully behavior,
- 49:37Speaker 3: the younger kids are learning those behaviors.
- 49:39Speaker 4: Taylor says, totally agree with you, gee. I think the
- 49:42Speaker 4: consensus is basically that a lot of people of all
- 49:46Speaker 4: different ages suck.
- 49:50Speaker 3: I love that word, yes, yeah, and I don't mean
- 49:53Speaker 3: it because it's the word.
- 49:55Speaker 4: I mean.
- 49:55Speaker 3: I love that word because it's blunt and You're absolutely right, Tailing.
- 49:59Speaker 4: It's everyon these things. These things extend across all age works,
- 50:04Speaker 4: of course. Okay.
- 50:06Speaker 3: My fear is that the younger generation, the ones who
- 50:10Speaker 3: are having kids now at eighteen, nineteen, twenty years old
- 50:13Speaker 3: and all, that they don't know how to instill.
- 50:17Speaker 4: Because well they haven't learned yet. It's just like they have.
- 50:21Speaker 4: It's a cycle. It's just sad.
- 50:24Speaker 3: It's sad because I know a kid who a kid
- 50:27Speaker 3: a thirties, if somebody who's in their thirties that has
- 50:30Speaker 3: a kid, and it's just it's like, come on, I know,
- 50:35Speaker 3: grow up mature finally. And I feel like the kids
- 50:39Speaker 3: that are going coming out of high school are not
- 50:43Speaker 3: as mature as we were when we came out of
- 50:46Speaker 3: high school because we had to take it. So now
- 50:49Speaker 3: a kid's like, I'll just drop out, and the parents like,
- 50:52Speaker 3: if you drop out, go ahead, drop out, And I'm like, really,
- 50:56Speaker 3: I get the child's going to do it whether you
- 50:59Speaker 3: tell them to or not. If the child wants to
- 51:01Speaker 3: drop out, they're gonna drop out, whether you tell them
- 51:04Speaker 3: yes or no. But make an effort. Sure, take them
- 51:10Speaker 3: to for coffee and talk about it and see why. Okay,
- 51:15Speaker 3: But nowadays, you call the principal and say this has happened.
- 51:18Speaker 4: Oh I know, no, no, we're working on but no.
- 51:22Speaker 5: You know.
- 51:24Speaker 3: As a matter of fact, I was talking to somebody
- 51:27Speaker 3: last weekend and they were taught. They moved to North Carolina,
- 51:32Speaker 3: but they still have things going on up here, so
- 51:34Speaker 3: they come back and forth. And I was talking to
- 51:38Speaker 3: them and they said, when my child was here in Barry,
- 51:44Speaker 3: he he was so bored in school. And I would
- 51:48Speaker 3: tell them, my son is bored.
- 51:49Speaker 4: He's bored. He's bored.
- 51:50Speaker 3: Okay, well we'll put him in extra class. And they
- 51:53Speaker 3: never did anything, and he started cutting classes. If they
- 52:00Speaker 3: moved to North Carolina, she says, they put him in
- 52:02Speaker 3: all advanced classes. They give him challenging assignments that he
- 52:07Speaker 3: can do. He loves going to school because he's learning
- 52:11Speaker 3: and he's and he's having fun.
- 52:14Speaker 4: And that's my problem with this area.
- 52:16Speaker 3: Is, come on, if the education isn't there and taught,
- 52:21Speaker 3: then the kids aren't going to grow up and know things.
- 52:25Speaker 6: You know.
- 52:25Speaker 4: My husband told me the other day, I don't watch
- 52:28Speaker 4: the news.
- 52:28Speaker 3: If you guys didn't watch the news, I wouldn't watch
- 52:30Speaker 3: it all because I want nothing to do with it.
- 52:32Speaker 3: Heard him say that, and my answer to him was,
- 52:37Speaker 3: you need to be able to hold your own in
- 52:39Speaker 3: a conversation or just be aware. Right, You need to
- 52:43Speaker 3: be able to hold your own if you're out there
- 52:46Speaker 3: and you run into an adult, and the adults like,
- 52:49Speaker 3: let me tell you, if he keeps going to all
- 52:52Speaker 3: these other countries and keeps doing this and not taking
- 52:56Speaker 3: care of our country, my god, what kind of a
- 52:58Speaker 3: And you'll go, why, what what happened?
- 53:01Speaker 4: You can't do that? You need to say a war
- 53:05Speaker 4: with Iran?
- 53:05Speaker 3: Right, You need to be able to know enough to
- 53:08Speaker 3: hold yourself in some form of dignity, okay, And especially
- 53:12Speaker 3: as an adult, you should know.
- 53:14Speaker 4: You don't have to be involved, but you can.
- 53:16Speaker 3: Be aware, okay. And that's not happening on the school
- 53:22Speaker 3: level for education. It's not happening for us adults because
- 53:26Speaker 3: we don't want to hear the drama and the kids
- 53:30Speaker 3: don't even This is general statement. It doesn't mean it's true.
- 53:35Speaker 3: The kids don't even know what's going on. They're too
- 53:40Speaker 3: busy dressing nicely, playing games on their video, using their
- 53:46Speaker 3: phone all the time, all this stuff that they don't
- 53:49Speaker 3: even know.
- 53:49Speaker 4: When I say something to them, they'll be like the what.
- 53:54Speaker 3: And I'm like the UN Council, Yeah, you got me.
- 53:58Speaker 4: I don't know what that is.
- 54:00Speaker 3: And I'm like, oh my god, you're seventeen years old.
- 54:03Speaker 4: How can you not know this? Boy? You're hitting it
- 54:08Speaker 4: this morning, geek.
- 54:09Speaker 3: It just it bothers me because everybody likes to turn
- 54:12Speaker 3: it on us old people.
- 54:14Speaker 4: Yep. Oh you know what, you old people.
- 54:17Speaker 3: You don't want to learn this technology. You don't want
- 54:21Speaker 3: to be up to date. No I don't, yep. Okay,
- 54:24Speaker 3: why because I had a phone that hung on a wall. Yeah,
- 54:29Speaker 3: and it was one line that the whole family shared.
- 54:33Speaker 4: Okay, can I go? Can I take it a step further?
- 54:35Speaker 4: Go ahead? It was avocado green, yes, or yes? Or
- 54:41Speaker 4: or that muddy mustard costard yellow yep. And it had
- 54:45Speaker 4: a cord, the spiral cord that went all the way
- 54:48Speaker 4: to the floor and back up and you could stretch
- 54:51Speaker 4: it miles yeah yeah, and knock over the lamp. Right.
- 54:56Speaker 3: But see, my point being is we didn't grow up
- 54:59Speaker 3: with this technology and we're just fine. We didn't grow
- 55:05Speaker 3: up with with all this social media shit that if
- 55:08Speaker 3: you thought wrong, the entire world knows about it. Okay,
- 55:15Speaker 3: So do we want to learn this technology. No, is
- 55:19Speaker 3: it good for the kids of today, the young kids
- 55:22Speaker 3: to learn this technology moving forward? Absolutely, because we built
- 55:28Speaker 3: it for them and now they're just eating it up
- 55:32Speaker 3: and getting lost in it. Okay, when somebody texts me
- 55:36Speaker 3: and I don't feel like sending a narrative back, I
- 55:40Speaker 3: pick up the phone.
- 55:41Speaker 4: And I what call them? You would?
- 55:45Speaker 2: Yes?
- 55:46Speaker 3: When you text me something and I text you something.
- 55:48Speaker 3: If one of us realize this is going to be
- 55:50Speaker 3: a long text, all of a sudden, our phone rings and.
- 55:53Speaker 4: We put it to our ear, we actually speak. Yeah.
- 55:59Speaker 3: So when they make fun of us, Oh, you don't
- 56:02Speaker 3: know how to text, You don't know what emoji's are? Now, people,
- 56:05Speaker 3: you grew up with that and unfortunately you're so lost
- 56:08Speaker 3: in it. Sure, and Taylor, you gotta agree. The younger
- 56:12Speaker 3: generation is so lost in technology that they are totally
- 56:17Speaker 3: out of tune with society. The only ones they hang
- 56:22Speaker 3: out with are the text that they know do the
- 56:25Speaker 3: same thing that they do.
- 56:27Speaker 4: Okay.
- 56:29Speaker 3: Then they go outside and they don't know how to
- 56:30Speaker 3: behave or play or play or act or anything. Why
- 56:35Speaker 3: because they were inside shooting people on the PlayStation. Then
- 56:40Speaker 3: they come outside they're aggressive or whatever. And now they're
- 56:43Speaker 3: assholes outside. That's why I love to see little kids
- 56:48Speaker 3: working on the farm. I love to see kids out
- 56:51Speaker 3: riding their bicycles, climbing trees, run it, you know, around
- 56:59Speaker 3: doing chores, having actual responsibility.
- 57:02Speaker 4: I know, man, I'm with you.
- 57:04Speaker 3: I mean, I can get on a public transportation and
- 57:07Speaker 3: guarantee you every time I get on a public transportation,
- 57:11Speaker 3: there is somebody my age or older that looks like
- 57:14Speaker 3: they really need to sit down. And right there is
- 57:20Speaker 3: a fourteen year old with his buddy.
- 57:23Speaker 4: Standing up stand no, sitting, okay, yeah, And in front
- 57:28Speaker 4: of them is this person that's standing up. Yeah. And
- 57:31Speaker 4: I get up, yeah, and I'm like, would you like
- 57:34Speaker 4: my seat? Yeah? And I do it for a guy
- 57:36Speaker 4: or a girl. Yeah, it's not you know, I don't
- 57:39Speaker 4: just know. Would you like to sit here? Yep? The
- 57:43Speaker 4: kids looked up at me.
- 57:44Speaker 3: I got up, I stood there for other person sat
- 57:47Speaker 3: and the kids were looking at me, and I just
- 57:49Speaker 3: looked right back at them, like and they didn't understand
- 57:54Speaker 3: why I was gesturing them. And that's sad, yep, because
- 57:59Speaker 3: we would taught to pay attention to all that shit.
- 58:03Speaker 3: The younger generation is paying attention to AI and my god,
- 58:07Speaker 3: you don't even know if your text was written by
- 58:09Speaker 3: them or not. They could have said I don't know whatever,
- 58:14Speaker 3: I don't care and then hit the AI and it
- 58:16Speaker 3: reinterprets it for them politely and sends it.
- 58:19Speaker 4: I know.
- 58:21Speaker 3: We used to use dictionaries to look things up. It
- 58:24Speaker 3: taught us to read, It taught us to utilize books
- 58:28Speaker 3: and information. They don't have to do anything nothing. I
- 58:33Speaker 3: can't get this algebra problem up there.
- 58:36Speaker 4: It is. Remember, God, we sound like old men. We are,
- 58:43Speaker 4: remember microfiche. Listen, yesterday morning I said something on the
- 58:52Speaker 4: air that a few people texted me about during the day,
- 58:57Speaker 4: and I kind of wasn't prized that I got a text.
- 59:02Speaker 4: But I just want to I just want to circle
- 59:06Speaker 4: back to that just briefly here before we close out.
- 59:12Speaker 4: I started to, uh, listen you, you know, because I've
- 59:17Speaker 4: told you many times gee that I I hate I
- 59:22Speaker 4: just freaking hate rumors, and I hate I hate the
- 59:30Speaker 4: fact that so many of us are just foaming at
- 59:33Speaker 4: the mouth and wagging our tails about getting the inside
- 59:40Speaker 4: on everything and jumping the gun and being being the
- 59:43Speaker 4: first to get information out out there that may not
- 59:46Speaker 4: be fully accurate. Right, I don't I just don't operate
- 59:50Speaker 4: like that, right. It's it's irresponsible at the very least. Okay,
- 59:56Speaker 4: it's news, and it also can be very sinceized. It
- 1:00:00Speaker 4: can also be exaggerated. It can also be not totally accurate, right,
- 1:00:06Speaker 4: and can also be kind of shallow.
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: And it's scary enough that when you do say something
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: very specifically, people hear something totally different.
- 1:00:16Speaker 4: Sure, and then say j D said on the air,
- 1:00:19Speaker 4: but I never said that. Yeah, I know, I won't
- 1:00:22Speaker 4: do it, man, I won't do it. And I said
- 1:00:24Speaker 4: this yesterday. I started getting hit up a couple of
- 1:00:28Speaker 4: days ago that our city manager, Nicholas Starelli Castro was resigning,
- 1:00:37Speaker 4: and I you know, I got text messages that he
- 1:00:43Speaker 4: that he quit, that he got fired.
- 1:00:45Speaker 5: That.
- 1:00:46Speaker 4: I mean, it's like all kinds of ship right, Okay.
- 1:00:50Speaker 4: My knee jerk reaction was not to respond on my platform, right,
- 1:00:57Speaker 4: but rather to call him or to text him, reach
- 1:01:03Speaker 4: out to him first, Hey, what's going on with educated facts?
- 1:01:08Speaker 4: Go right to the source. What's going on? Is there
- 1:01:11Speaker 4: is there anything that you want to to say publicly
- 1:01:14Speaker 4: or relay on the air or whatever. And maybe his
- 1:01:17Speaker 4: answer would have been known no, and I would I
- 1:01:19Speaker 4: would have respected that I didn't react. I didn't respond online.
- 1:01:29Speaker 4: I waited, like I knew I should, for either a
- 1:01:33Speaker 4: press release or for it to come out by another source,
- 1:01:40Speaker 4: and then share that source, which was the Time Sarcus yesterday,
- 1:01:45Speaker 4: which had a story that hit, and as soon as
- 1:01:50Speaker 4: it did, I shared it that our city manager confirmed
- 1:01:56Speaker 4: yesterday that he is leaving Berry City to take over
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: as deputy city manager in South Burlington over the summer.
- 1:02:03Speaker 4: And I think I think he'll be leaving his post
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: in August. I believe. And there's there's more to there's
- 1:02:11Speaker 4: more to the story. He took me off people because
- 1:02:15Speaker 4: he doesn't want me reacting. No, listen, man, it's listen.
- 1:02:19Speaker 4: I'm saying this out of a lot of respect.
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: Here.
- 1:02:22Speaker 4: A lot of people have opinions about this, and you've
- 1:02:26Speaker 4: got opinions about it, obviously, and I saw I read
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: the comments that were coming in. I read them, and
- 1:02:33Speaker 4: people are entitled to have their opinions absolutely no matter
- 1:02:36Speaker 4: what they are right. Some people feel that he was wonderful.
- 1:02:40Speaker 4: Some people have opinions based on fact, and some people
- 1:02:45Speaker 4: don't announced that it wasn't It was a little abrupt,
- 1:02:59Speaker 4: and it wasn't quick. It wasn't exactly how he, as
- 1:03:02Speaker 4: the Timesarcus wrote, envisioned right when he emailed the City
- 1:03:06Speaker 4: council after the polls closed on Tuesday, the bolts were counted,
- 1:03:12Speaker 4: the official results were in.
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: I just wonder if he did it because of the
- 1:03:17Speaker 3: way the voting didn't go here. It's just an odd
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: obviously a position. The timing is odd, but the position.
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: He's known about it for a while because you interviewed
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: for what you taught, you know you do, and he
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: kept it close to the vest.
- 1:03:32Speaker 4: Okay, what's wrong with that?
- 1:03:35Speaker 3: Nothing, But everybody's like, oh, let's make something up.
- 1:03:40Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: The bottom line is he designed right in good faith
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: and he's moving to another location in good faith.
- 1:03:49Speaker 4: I'm just gonna read here. It's just from the Times Arcus. However,
- 1:03:53Speaker 4: the thrust of the email that he sent to city
- 1:03:59Speaker 4: councilors and his staff that he requested be kept confidential
- 1:04:04Speaker 4: until next week, and that got leaked. Yeah, it's easy
- 1:04:09Speaker 4: to leave stuff on social media. Yeah, and it and
- 1:04:13Speaker 4: it hit Facebook on Wednesday and then started to hit
- 1:04:18Speaker 4: me on Wednesday. And he was, as he says, I
- 1:04:26Speaker 4: didn't want to tell his staff this way. They didn't
- 1:04:29Speaker 4: deserve it. They didn't deserve to hear it this way,
- 1:04:32Speaker 4: and he was angry.
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: Small town of Barry, and you're the manager, the city manager,
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: and you're shocked that gossip and news got out before
- 1:04:48Speaker 3: we wanted it to. Come on, come on, I mean,
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: if the president was deciding to resign and he wanted
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: to keep it within his whatever.
- 1:04:58Speaker 4: Someone's going to find out. Someone always finds out.
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: That's the problem with social media and all the things
- 1:05:05Speaker 3: that are going on, because there is no more privacy.
- 1:05:10Speaker 3: So if you're planning to resign from a position or
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: whatever and you don't want people to know, you just
- 1:05:16Speaker 3: don't tell anybody, Okay, you just don't. The minute you
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: send an email out to the council, you have opened
- 1:05:25Speaker 3: yourself up for the whole city to know about it, because,
- 1:05:29Speaker 3: let's face it, a lot of people, not all because
- 1:05:33Speaker 3: I'm really good at this, but a lot of people
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: don't know how to keep a secret.
- 1:05:39Speaker 4: They don't and the minute the media here is it. Well,
- 1:05:43Speaker 4: when you send an you send an email out to
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: your staff, it's you're going to tell your husband and
- 1:05:50Speaker 4: your wife, and your husband and your wife who's going
- 1:05:54Speaker 4: to tell one of their friends and that they're going
- 1:05:56Speaker 4: to drop it on social media. It's out.
- 1:05:59Speaker 3: Yeah, and with social media, it doesn't take long. Okay,
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: I was watching a TV show with Yeah, I was
- 1:06:06Speaker 3: watching a TV show with this woman got into this
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: little argument with this other woman and then she walked
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: out of the building and went down this street.
- 1:06:14Speaker 4: At the end of the street, there was a girl.
- 1:06:17Speaker 3: Standing there, probably eighteen years old or whatever, and she
- 1:06:22Speaker 3: looked up and saw the woman and says, oh, wow,
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: you're this person. You just told this person to upset
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: them because you were mean and this, and the girl
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: looked at the woman looks at the girl and goes
- 1:06:33Speaker 3: and it's out, meaning it's out there from a walk
- 1:06:38Speaker 3: from the house one block down there. Everybody knew because
- 1:06:43Speaker 3: this woman sends out a tweet.
- 1:06:46Speaker 4: Boom.
- 1:06:47Speaker 3: Now it's public knowledge. So you gotta be careful people,
- 1:06:52Speaker 3: and don't take everything you see for real, especially all
- 1:06:59Speaker 3: those memes and stuff.
- 1:07:01Speaker 4: You know, everybody knows.
- 1:07:02Speaker 3: I've watched The Young and the Restless forever. Okay, I
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: probably watched it. I only missed maybe the first two
- 1:07:08Speaker 3: years of it. Other than that, I've been watching it
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: for good fifty years. And yeah, well it's just it's
- 1:07:15Speaker 3: my show and I watch it, you know, I record
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: it and watch it later. But anyway, there's a character
- 1:07:21Speaker 3: on the show, Victor Newman, and his real name is
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: Eric Bridman, and he is an actor. He's been doing
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: The Young and the Wrestlers for almost fifty years, but
- 1:07:31Speaker 3: he also does his own podcasts and his own things live.
- 1:07:35Speaker 4: And he talks about the fact.
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: That you've been seeing anybody who likes The Young and
- 1:07:42Speaker 3: the Restless gets feeds on Facebook, and you've been seeing
- 1:07:45Speaker 3: him standing there next to Donald Trump telling Trump off.
- 1:07:52Speaker 3: And then you see him going to the View, the
- 1:07:55Speaker 3: TV show, the View and telling off them about and
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: and he's there on the show and he's sitting there
- 1:08:02Speaker 3: and he's talking to them, telling him you people do this,
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: you people do that.
- 1:08:06Speaker 4: But ba ba.
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: He did a podcast recently and he said, I just
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: want to clarify none of that stuff ever happened.
- 1:08:18Speaker 4: It never happened, and.
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: The fan base was shocked because people believed it. I
- 1:08:25Speaker 3: knew it was AI. Okay, So now when when the
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: kids look at these things on the phone, they don't
- 1:08:33Speaker 3: maybe they don't know it's AI. They probably know better
- 1:08:36Speaker 3: than we do if it's AI or not. But it's
- 1:08:39Speaker 3: there's so much stuff out there in technology world. And
- 1:08:44Speaker 3: that's why we adult say I don't want to I
- 1:08:46Speaker 3: don't want to learn that stuff because that stuff is
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: filled with gossip and lies and manipulations and truths and question.
- 1:08:56Speaker 3: We didn't grow up that way. That's not what we
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: We don't want to be part of that drama. You know,
- 1:09:02Speaker 3: we text you great, We all need to have uh,
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: just try to have just a little bit more yes
- 1:09:12Speaker 3: and listen. Do you know people tell people off through texts?
- 1:09:19Speaker 3: I was watching that one day, this person you fucking
- 1:09:22Speaker 3: think so? And then they're watching her fuck fu and
- 1:09:29Speaker 3: I'm like, oh my god, you're having a fight with
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: an individual or maybe it's your little selfie friend.
- 1:09:36Speaker 4: Wait a second, it wasn't in all caps, wasn't.
- 1:09:39Speaker 3: I wasn't paying attention to her doing I was just
- 1:09:42Speaker 3: watching her getting getting upset and texting something.
- 1:09:45Speaker 4: When it goes to all caps, Oh you're yelling now
- 1:09:48Speaker 4: now you're screaming. That's loud. Oh yeah, ouch, yeah, I know.
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: Right now, if I text somebody it's all in caps,
- 1:09:56Speaker 3: they're like, why are you screaming at me?
- 1:10:00Speaker 4: And I was like, are you fucking kidding me? Right now?
- 1:10:02Speaker 4: I hit the button and it's stuck and I moved on. Gee,
- 1:10:05Speaker 4: don't get loud. Listen to you. Yeah, you're screaming in
- 1:10:08Speaker 4: caps right now. Well, yeah, because it's so silly. It's like,
- 1:10:14Speaker 4: just put your phone down for an hour and go
- 1:10:17Speaker 4: for a walk. I just real quick, I just want
- 1:10:23Speaker 4: to get back to this because I'm gonna I'm gonna
- 1:10:26Speaker 4: drop this in the comments right now. Okay. Nicholas said,
- 1:10:31Speaker 4: I'm really disappointed. Our mayor Tom Looson said, I am angry.
- 1:10:37Speaker 4: I am disappointed.
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: That.
- 1:10:43Speaker 4: You know, Nicholas wanted to tell his staff in person
- 1:10:46Speaker 4: on Monday. It's right there right and well he got
- 1:10:50Speaker 4: blindsided and Tom says that was taken from him. Yep,
- 1:10:56Speaker 4: this hurts the city. Losan said, went in for me
- 1:11:00Speaker 4: like this is leaked prematurely. It makes prospective candidates question,
- 1:11:05Speaker 4: is that where I want to work? Well, it's a
- 1:11:08Speaker 4: good thought. Yeah, yep. I just decided to not try
- 1:11:19Speaker 4: to jump at the the opportunity to say, hey, I
- 1:11:23Speaker 4: heard the rumor, Yeah, that Nicholas Strelli castro is Is
- 1:11:28Speaker 4: is leaving or got fired or whatever. I'm just not
- 1:11:31Speaker 4: going to do that, man, No, I'm not I'm not
- 1:11:34Speaker 4: going that.
- 1:11:34Speaker 3: That's why when people make comments about you, I can't
- 1:11:38Speaker 3: believe you did this, or I can't believe any individual
- 1:11:41Speaker 3: that knows you or watches you for any period of
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: time knows that you are not the person who endorses pedophilia.
- 1:11:54Speaker 4: You're not the person who endorses.
- 1:11:57Speaker 3: Criminals and cry and and and gossip, And that's not
- 1:12:03Speaker 3: your thing. If you get a piece of news, you're
- 1:12:08Speaker 3: going to research it before you put it on that
- 1:12:09Speaker 3: I'd rather wait and vet it a little bit to
- 1:12:12Speaker 3: make sure. If you've called me many times, gee, did.
- 1:12:15Speaker 4: You hear it?
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: Bub bub, I'm like, no, okay, let me find out
- 1:12:19Speaker 3: and then I'll let you know because I just heard it,
- 1:12:22Speaker 3: but I don't know if it's true or not.
- 1:12:23Speaker 4: And you clarify that.
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: So now am I gonna hang up and say, Jed,
- 1:12:27Speaker 3: did you hear no? Because you told me you don't know,
- 1:12:32Speaker 3: And then they'll say, but you told me no, No,
- 1:12:35Speaker 3: I didn't tell you that.
- 1:12:37Speaker 4: With with with And I'm gonna take this this brief
- 1:12:42Speaker 4: opportunity right now to say this because you're right there
- 1:12:47Speaker 4: with exactly what you just said. There's been some uh
- 1:12:52Speaker 4: some information that that's going around. I'm privy to it.
- 1:12:57Speaker 4: I've heard it. I've spoken with some some folks about this,
- 1:13:00Speaker 4: right that really know uh, the accuracy of what's going on.
- 1:13:05Speaker 4: And I'm not I'm not talking about our city manager ANYMO,
- 1:13:08Speaker 4: about one of our schools and a very sad and
- 1:13:16Speaker 4: unfortunate thing that happened at our school. I'm not going
- 1:13:23Speaker 4: to talk about this until out of great respect, until
- 1:13:32Speaker 4: the time is appropriate. I'm not going to do it.
- 1:13:37Speaker 4: And what the pro I'm not going to drop names.
- 1:13:39Speaker 4: I'm not going to. I'm not going to. I'm just
- 1:13:43Speaker 4: not going to go there because it's it's just morally,
- 1:13:47Speaker 4: it's just not the right thing to do. Man. Right
- 1:13:50Speaker 4: and listen, I've made let's be honest here, I've made
- 1:13:55Speaker 4: some mistakes in the past on this microphone and in public.
- 1:14:05Speaker 4: I'm just not going to do it. No, I'm not
- 1:14:08Speaker 4: going to do it. You got to verify and I'm
- 1:14:11Speaker 4: going to And I know I see all of the
- 1:14:16Speaker 4: chatter that's going on on social media. People are so reactive,
- 1:14:22Speaker 4: and I'm going to make sure that or everything's buttoned
- 1:14:28Speaker 4: up before it ever makes its way onto the air, right,
- 1:14:32Speaker 4: And I'll let I'm not gonna I'm not going to
- 1:14:36Speaker 4: dive in and do the deep investigation. It's frankly, it's
- 1:14:40Speaker 4: it's not that's not my my job and my business
- 1:14:44Speaker 4: to do that. Right. When I get some information, I'll
- 1:14:49Speaker 4: share it if it's if it's respectful to share, and
- 1:14:52Speaker 4: I will provide any kind of help or assistance or
- 1:14:56Speaker 4: promotion of anything that do that that does good for
- 1:15:00Speaker 4: our community, right, that affects positive change, right, And that's
- 1:15:05Speaker 4: the key thing. But I'm not going to spew any
- 1:15:08Speaker 4: kind of drama right on the air or on my
- 1:15:12Speaker 4: social media platform. I'm not going to do it. I'm
- 1:15:16Speaker 4: not going to do it. And I know what's going on.
- 1:15:18Speaker 4: Are you going to do it? A lot of people
- 1:15:21Speaker 4: know what's going on, but you know what I'm saying, No,
- 1:15:25Speaker 4: I don't know what's going on. So that's fine, but
- 1:15:29Speaker 4: I can certainly, you know, learn and you will and
- 1:15:36Speaker 4: we'll have a conversation off the air right about this
- 1:15:40Speaker 4: right before we close out. If this is something that
- 1:15:45Speaker 4: you have in your heart to do, please adopt a Mountaineer.
- 1:15:51Speaker 4: They need host families for the Mountaineers baseball team coming
- 1:15:56Speaker 4: soon to Recreation Field. Home opener is Monday June eighth.
- 1:16:04Speaker 4: Monday June eighth at Recreation Field it's gonna be a
- 1:16:06Speaker 4: great season. They need host families to uh to house
- 1:16:10Speaker 4: these players, these collegiate players. That's the number to call.
- 1:16:14Speaker 4: I think her name is Hannah, please if you would. Okay,
- 1:16:18Speaker 4: it's gonna be an amazing season. I've got the whole
- 1:16:21Speaker 4: schedule right here, the Vermont Mountaineers. I'm gonna be blabbering
- 1:16:24Speaker 4: about them all summer and I can't wait. Are we
- 1:16:27Speaker 4: gonna Are we gonna get housed? To you and I? Yeah,
- 1:16:33Speaker 4: you and I need housing in a special way, in
- 1:16:37Speaker 4: a special way, like a like an institution.
- 1:16:40Speaker 3: You know how it would be cool is if we
- 1:16:43Speaker 3: could just move in at the place up by the
- 1:16:47Speaker 3: Barry stripped there.
- 1:16:49Speaker 4: The stores.
- 1:16:51Speaker 3: Are there in Berlin in those new developments. Oh why
- 1:16:57Speaker 3: can't we well just place it's for old people, chestnut place,
- 1:17:02Speaker 3: if that's what it's called.
- 1:17:03Speaker 4: We could sit around, sip on our tea and say
- 1:17:07Speaker 4: podcasts and say and podcast and say, can you believe
- 1:17:12Speaker 4: the goddamn kids of today?
- 1:17:14Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:17:16Speaker 4: H j D. Did you see did you see that
- 1:17:20Speaker 4: car going up the other way?
- 1:17:22Speaker 5: It's the one way that way and they went that way?
- 1:17:29Speaker 5: What yeah, I said, that car went that way? Oh
- 1:17:35Speaker 5: for canyon.
- 1:17:36Speaker 4: Stick a thing in your ear so you can hear better.
- 1:17:39Speaker 4: Goddamn kids, get off the wall. I hate kids. They
- 1:17:43Speaker 4: damn kids and their dogs pooping on our grounds. I
- 1:17:47Speaker 4: know that.
- 1:17:48Speaker 3: Oh my god, I'm gonna have to call one of
- 1:17:51Speaker 3: the maintenance men to pick that up.
- 1:17:54Speaker 4: Well, if they goddamn taxes, somebody else should be cleaned.
- 1:17:59Speaker 4: I don't have to pay.
- 1:18:00Speaker 6: There a shipholdel, Oh my god, coming, wheezy, I'm coming,
- 1:18:06Speaker 6: remember that, coming, wheezy, I'm coming.
- 1:19:00Speaker 4: Not consert pas, deserts.
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: Present pace.
- 1:19:14Speaker 3: Do not the the.
- 1:19:27Speaker 4: Not the game, not the
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: Hea passsssssssssssssssssssssssss
