- 2:31[SPEAKER_05]: And hopefully has some guys up there.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_05]: And we could talk about that as well.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_05]: Um, as we go on, we in the month of August, and we run it through this year pretty fast.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_05]: I'm gonna be honest with you.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_05]: And if you don't know or didn't see that, uh, we're already in August.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_05]: And I'm really enjoying what I see with the year.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_05]: Uh, nothing is promise.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_05]: But, you know, just do what you got to do and we're going to be all right.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_05]: Keep God first.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_05]: I can't put it.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_05]: This episode is a little touchy because a cover of the episode is a little funny along with this episode.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_05]: It's not funny what happened, but
- 3:27[SPEAKER_05]: And one university, we're talking about a massive shooting.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_05]: And I'm not going to say it's a massive shooting because only five people got shot.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_05]: But again, another shooting at a university.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_05]: And this happened at Virginia State University, nice college, nice place to go visit, good people.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_05]: And a 19-year-old young kid decided to take its gun out,
- 3:57[SPEAKER_05]: of the university.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_05]: He decided to take out a weapon and use it against people.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_05]: Now, for why I know no one was killed, there's one person that's fighting for his life who was injured more severely than others.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_05]: And the 19-year-old who's allegedly involved has been arrested, he was found in a girl's dorm room closet.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_05]: When I first heard about this, I never talked about it.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_05]: I didn't want to get into it because I'm tired of seeing it personally, and I'm tired of hearing it personally, and I'm just tired of
- 4:41[SPEAKER_05]: knowing that you send your kids away to get education and they can be killed at any moment.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_05]: Trying to get education.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_05]: Now, I understand it can happen at home.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_05]: It can happen going to the store.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_05]: It can happen on the train.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_05]: I get all that, but it just baffles me a little more that things happen like this.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_05]: a lot in quite often while kids are in college all the way at different universities just trying to get an education.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_05]: Somehow a child is
- 5:19[SPEAKER_05]: their brain is triggered to go get a gun and go shoot someone because of something someone said or did to you.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_05]: And that is the biggest point that I keep seeing, replaying over and over and every situation is what somebody either said or did to them to make them go and say, the best
- 5:47[SPEAKER_05]: is to go get a gun.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_05]: And I don't understand.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_05]: You could just walk away.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_05]: You could just forget about it.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_05]: You don't have to be bothered with them any longer.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_05]: Just block them.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_05]: Don't go that way anymore.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_05]: Just stay in the house for a little bit.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_05]: Why is it that kids want to go get a weapon and pull a trigger?
- 6:15[SPEAKER_05]: and cause harm to people, and oftentimes it's not even the person that aiming at that they hurt.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_05]: The person that they look in the shoot is not even there or the person they're looking to do bodily harm to doesn't get hit.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_05]: It's all the innocent people.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_05]: they get involved with that.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_05]: And I'm seeing that a lot.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_05]: I'm seeing it in an awful lot.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_05]: And I'm just saying, if it's possible, if it's possible, can we please refrain from snapping, take a minute, take a deep breath, and just say, this ain't for me.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_05]: Let me just slow down.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_05]: I'm doing too much.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_05]: Is it possible we can just say,
- 7:03[SPEAKER_05]: I can come back another day and perhaps talk about this.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_05]: Why it has to be a gunplay?
- 7:11[SPEAKER_05]: Now, this happened in Virginia, in Manassas, Virginia, somewhere over there.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_05]: And...
- 7:20[SPEAKER_05]: There's other one with Penn State.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know if you heard of Penn State University is a big, big amount of university out there in Pennsylvania.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_05]: And a lot of people deal with this university is huge.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_05]: And since 2023, they've been some drug dealing on the location at the university.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_05]: People have been selling cocaine,
- 7:49[SPEAKER_05]: at the university, at the location.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_05]: Faculty members are down with it.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_05]: It's a big enterprise.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_05]: 14 people was arrested.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_05]: Some faculty members, I'm gonna keep saying that.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_05]: Some faculty members, some students, they were getting their supplies from New York and probably wherever other in New York but they did say New York
- 8:19[SPEAKER_05]: Pennsylvania where it was broken down cut.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_05]: Let me just say, particularly with the man said, they cut it.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_05]: And then they bagged it and then they sold it.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_05]: Faculty members and students.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_05]: And this happened two years ago, the investigation been over two years, and they wanted to make sure.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_05]: They said, they let it go on this long because they wanted to catch everybody.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_05]: not some party, but everybody involved.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_05]: And it was 14 people, a total of 14 people that was arrested for being a college drug dealer.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_05]: Everybody went to jail.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_05]: So of course, we know in our history of life, you are innocent until proven guilty.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_05]: So they wanted to make sure they knew they were arrested and powerful people, they knew they were arrested and people that slicked in a can of oil and they wanted to make sure they left no rock unturned and they got the right person and the right people involved.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_05]: So I'm happy on both cases that there was closure.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_05]: But it's disturbing that, again, another massive shooting and now people that are doing great with themselves or in college trying to do the best they can have turned until the drug game on the road.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_05]: Because let's just look at it and have this different perspective of it all.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_05]: kids in Penn State are buying cocaine at fifty to a hundred dollars a palm.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_05]: Let's face it.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_05]: This ain't New York prices.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_05]: New York prices is twenty dollars thirty five.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_05]: You know Penn State University, the college, them kids are loaded.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_05]: They got the money.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_05]: Oh yeah, so they charge in 50 a pop, probably 100 a pop and for the faculty members to be involved and they get in keys, they buy in keys at a time.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_05]: They didn't go up being a little, you know, low baggy.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_05]: They bought two keys at a time.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_05]: about 35, a key.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_05]: 35, the 39, a key.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_05]: Now, I want to know, I don't know.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_05]: I'm just saying, you know, I did my research.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_05]: It says, you know, the prices went up because, you know, Trump,
- 11:26[SPEAKER_05]: Columbia, you know, he got in the Mexican, he knocking all, you know, the keys go up.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_05]: It might go up to 42 right now for a key.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, you know what I'm saying, that's what the, you know, news is saying, that's the news, the news, not me, the news.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_05]: So if they're buying two keys at a time, that's $84,000 at $42,000 a key.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_05]: They get money.
- 11:56[SPEAKER_05]: because there's not a lot of people buying keys at that prices, you know what I'm saying?
- 12:03[SPEAKER_05]: And then, you know, why this kept allegedly, this is all alleged, I was out there on the news.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_05]: This is not me.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know, I could be totally wrong.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know, not all alleged, all alleged.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_05]: What they saying is, they're going to knew you're the go get it.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_05]: And that's what they said.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_05]: Now I don't know, but that's what they said.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, I reloaded, they're going to New York and they're going to get it and then they drive them back to PA with it.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_05]: Woo-hoo-hoo-hoo.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_05]: Every day I'm hustling, every day I'm hustling.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_05]: Yo, they doing that out in PA. Like, are you serious?
- 12:43[SPEAKER_05]: And let me tell you, when we watch this video,
- 12:46[SPEAKER_05]: Let me just mind you, there's no people of color involved, no people of color, look like they
- 13:09[SPEAKER_05]: involved in this.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_05]: That's all I got to say.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_05]: I'm not against any race.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_05]: I'm just telling what allegedly the facts are.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_05]: These are all allegedly with the facts are.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_05]: I'm just reporting it to you.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_05]: You ain't got to believe me.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_05]: Do your research.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_05]: Do it on your own.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_05]: Google it.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_05]: You too.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_05]: Whatever you like to do.
- 13:28[SPEAKER_05]: Find out on your own.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_05]: But all I'm saying hello.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_05]: Hi.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_05]: That's all I'm saying.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_05]: All right, so now before we get into it, we're going to do the massive shooting first and then we're going to slide over to the drug dealers over there in Penn State, they get money.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_05]: You know what I'm saying, they get money, that's what I should have called it, they just get money, you know what I'm saying, because that's what they're doing, you know, I ain't mad that they're doing that, you know, you got to get what you got to get, you know, I'm saying.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_05]: Here we go, let's talk about it.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_06]: news that you love it starts breaking news.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_09]: And in 2012, we went to a 8th of Italian 2-0-2.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_09]: It's just blue.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_09]: 33-10.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_09]: Boys on the street.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_08]: 12-1-2-0-8.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_08]: In the time 2-0-2, a copy of your Addit 0-136.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_08]: There's a possible victim out there round about when you enter we advise you stage an arrival.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_12]: Shots rang out right outside the Virginia State University dormitories last night coming up or age in Ooko.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_12]: We'll tell us how students and Virginia leaders are responding.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_12]: But breaking news tonight, a 19 year old has been arrested in connection to last night's VSU shooting.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_12]: Thanks for joining us here at 11.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_12]: I'm John Barquette, Cameron Harris of Henrico County was found in Sured Hall hiding in a closet around four of this afternoon, Chesterville Police say Harris is not a VSU student.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_12]: He is now being charged with eight felony war, including malicious wounding and use of a firearm.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_05]: So he's not a student, eight felony charges, 19 years old.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_05]: He doesn't go to the school, Cameron Harris, you know, you know, it was so crazy.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_05]: You're not going to listen to it.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_05]: And his parents went up there trying to bail him out, getting bailed.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know how, I'm glad that my kids didn't take me through that.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_05]: And I'm glad I don't.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_05]: ever want to go through that, but I don't know how quick I've been in the bill amount.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know because if you teach your kids right from wrong and they want to play like they, they bow that life, I don't know, man, please live in the comments, how would you feel, what would you do in a situation like this?
- 15:58[SPEAKER_05]: Would you go bail your kid out?
- 16:01[SPEAKER_05]: said they made the bail $500, just say hypothetically, you know when this kid went and did body harm to five people, possibly he could have done this.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_05]: Would you go bail him out because you almost saw a miss all right to do that?
- 16:20[SPEAKER_05]: Because what are you saving him from by bailing him out?
- 16:28[SPEAKER_05]: He's gonna still gotta go through the courts, you know, a lot.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_05]: And once he get a lawyer, you tell him, no, say not, that's it.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_05]: Now you just sit there.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_05]: So you don't want him to sit there.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_05]: But when he was free, he didn't want to sit there.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_05]: When he wasn't arrested, he didn't want to sit there.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_05]: When he didn't do this shooting, when he was at home, he didn't want to sit there.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_05]: You had no time with him then.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_05]: See, I don't know.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_05]: I just don't, I don't know.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_12]: and the commission of a felony more charges may be pending.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_12]: As for the victims, their ages range from 17 to 23 years old, our age in Ooko was at VSU all day and shares the voices of students who recall the moments they heard gunshots.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_03]: Students are spending the weekend moving into their dorms ahead of classes starting Monday, but early Saturday morning, they were the mass shooting just outside of Magnolia Hall.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_03]: I spoke with one of the VSU students who was inside his dorm when the shooting happened.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_03]: He said he heard those shots and he was terrified.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_04]: Welcome week is where all the freshmen get here a week early.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_04]: Every junior state university.
- 17:41[SPEAKER_03]: It makes sounds from the drum line rain students into campus ahead of the first day of class it's Monday.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_03]: I wasn't expecting that at all.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_03]: But freshman engineering student Miles Blake sets the percussion ringing out early Saturday morning.
- 17:54[SPEAKER_04]: I knew something was going to happen but I wasn't expecting to shoot him.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_04]: Was much more terrifying.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_04]: Well, let out of my window, everybody was just running.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_05]: So I wanted to catch what he said, I knew something was going to happen.
- 18:11[SPEAKER_05]: How did you know that?
- 18:12[SPEAKER_05]: You're a freshman.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_05]: What do you mean?
- 18:15[SPEAKER_05]: Do this always happen at this location?
- 18:19[SPEAKER_05]: Do this school always have incidents?
- 18:22[SPEAKER_05]: What do you mean you knew something was gonna happen?
- 18:28[SPEAKER_04]: I saw everybody running, so I knew it was hot.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_03]: This police scene here was the result of a mass shooting near the university Quad Annex building on campus on the 3300 block of Voice O Street, which injured five people, one of those critically.
- 18:41[SPEAKER_03]: Those, why?
- 18:43[SPEAKER_03]: a hundred shots going off, uh, rapid fire, all five victims, including a VSU student or taken to nearby hospitals.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_03]: VSU officials confirm that the student was among those was non-life threatening injury than has since been released from the hospital.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_04]: Although RAs are running outside, telling all the students that come in,
- 19:03[SPEAKER_04]: and nobody could really walk outside their building.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_03]: The at the violence prompted an hour's long campus wide lock down, which according to an email sent to students, has transitioned to a campus wide curfew.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_04]: Students that are off the campus can come on campus after not.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they just put more costs on duty and addition to an increased police presence, the shooting drew responses from Governor Abigail Spamberger in U.S.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_03]: Senator Mark Warner condemning the tragedy praying for the injured and thanking for responders.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_03]: In the meantime, as police continue their investigation, Blake is urging all students to be mindful of the company they keep.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_04]: Don't hang around to wrong people because if I was hanging around
- 19:50[SPEAKER_04]: So he had to don't hang around around people.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_03]: Camp is police says there will be an increased security presence throughout the weekend and that they're also getting assistance from the Hanover County Sheriff's Office as well as the ATF.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_03]: And as soon as we know more about this mass shooting, we'll be sure to pass through details off to you.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_05]: So that was good that no one was killed.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_05]: and it could have went worse, you know what I'm saying, but it's a good thing that no one got killed, you know, and for what we know, it's okay to walk away, it's okay to, you know, live another day, you know, the kid that did it, maybe can get help.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_05]: Maybe he's still Cameron Harris, the one who allegedly did the shooting.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_05]: You can get a light sentence, he can get rehabilitated and get his mind right.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_05]: Luckily, no one died eight felony counts is crazy.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_05]: He's in a,
- 21:07[SPEAKER_05]: He's in a state that don't play, Virginia don't play, man.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_05]: So I don't know how they're going to play with him, how they're going to do it, what they're going to do, but Virginia don't play, man.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_05]: You know, there's not them states, not one of them states you need to do that.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_05]: Let's hear a little bit more about it right here.
- 21:42[SPEAKER_00]: is live at the S whose campus.
- 21:44[SPEAKER_01]: But we begin tonight with Taylor Bryan, who is in court for that hearing.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_01]: She has new court documents to telling the crime.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_01]: Taylor?
- 21:54[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah, the court documents that I received earlier today have some really interesting details from police that show what Harris was sending via Instagram moments before the shooting and even a photo that they say Harris sent of a gun.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_11]: a new semester begins at Virginia State University, students back in class for the first time, but this time feels different with the mass shooting wing on the minds of many.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_10]: Um, honestly, I was really scared.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_10]: I got a bunch of rave alerts like at one o'clock in the morning and I have my ringer on it.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_10]: I was asleep.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_10]: So I was just going off.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_10]: I was like, oh my gosh, I was going on.
- 22:31[SPEAKER_10]: So I instantly just started praying about it because I was like,
- 22:34[SPEAKER_10]: I don't know what's going on.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_11]: Five people were shot early Saturday morning along Bassol Street for the victims are expected to recover while one is still fighting for his life.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_11]: The campus was all locked down for several hours following and police arrested 19 road Cameron Harris later that afternoon.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_10]: Normally we don't have stuff like this and honestly it's not normal that we have
- 22:54[SPEAKER_10]: students are people on campus with guns and everything as well.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_11]: Harris was in court Monday.
- 22:59[SPEAKER_11]: His parents and family there as well.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_11]: They secured a private attorney who asked the judge to continue his bond hearing until she had more time together information.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_11]: Court documents now reveal what happened moments before the shooting.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_11]: The documents say shortly after police responded, witnesses told them, Harris had previous issues with another person and had an argument with them.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_11]: They also.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_05]: So now,
- 23:20[SPEAKER_05]: As I paused there to tell you guys, this happened on Saturday and they're in court Monday with his lawyer already lawyered up.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_05]: They're not parents not wasting no time, they're going out and they're going to try to back their son and I guess maybe he's a good kid.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know, maybe he never got in trouble before, maybe he panicked.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know, I don't know.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.
- 23:56[SPEAKER_05]: They need to think twice because this is nothing like, this is serious serious serious offense, eight charges on them, very serious.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_11]: provided Harris's Instagram account.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_11]: And according to police, it showed video of the VSU campus timestamp less than 20 minutes before the shooting.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_11]: Police found Instagram messages between Harris and another person around 140 that same morning.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_11]: The person messages Harris saying quote, you heard them shots and Harris replied back.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_11]: Well, it was us.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_05]: I don't know what's wrong.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_11]: And messages between Harris and a
- 24:41[SPEAKER_05]: Let's see what we got now.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_11]: Another on Instagram going back and forth about looking for the gun, and when Harris found it, he sent a photo to that individual.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_11]: Now Harris was found in a girl's dorm room.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_11]: So I reached out to Chesterfield Police to see if that individual would be facing any charges.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_11]: They said it is still too soon to tell because they are still investigating.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_11]: They did say they are expecting more charges for other individuals because they are looking for other individuals still connected to this case.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_05]: So, they're now saying the case, they believe there's more than one shooter and they perhaps can make more arrests and that's okay, that's, you want the ones that did it to be, you know, trial, taking for justice, these people that were victims didn't deserve that and they need some type of justice for the injuries, so I agree with all that, that's great, hopefully they can have that.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_05]: and hopefully they can get some closure with this whole thing.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_05]: I need to jump quickly right quickly into the Penn State because this Penn State is a good, you know, it's kind of long.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_05]: And I want you guys to check it out, you know?
- 26:01[SPEAKER_05]: The Penn State, here we go.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_07]: this point.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_07]: Now, this is all coming in out of Pennsylvania.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_07]: Take a look at these photos where more than a dozen people were crimally charged over the alleged ties to a cocaine trafficking ring in Pennsylvania that involve two fraternities and students.
- 26:23[SPEAKER_07]: There are a total of 14 defendants 13 of which were Penn State University students at or around the time of the alleged crimes which were in 2023 and 2024.
- 26:35[SPEAKER_07]: They were charged Monday.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_07]: That's according to the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_07]: Four defendants face charges of felony corrupt organizations, conspiracy, and other offenses while of fifth is charged with felony conspiracy and other crimes.
- 26:51[SPEAKER_07]: Eight other student-age defendants are charged with misdemeanor counts like possession, one defendant who is the father of a student.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_07]: is accused of evidence tampering and hindering the investigation.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_07]: At least four of those defendants are current students, according to the Attorney General's Office.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_07]: Again, there is a lot to this investigation.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_07]: Two defendants who are the main suppliers made routine trips to Philadelphia and New York to get large amounts of cocaine according to the AG's Office.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_07]: The cocaine was then packaged mainly at the Sigma Chi and Delta Upsilon fraternity houses and distributed primarily to Penn State University students.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_07]: What's interesting here is we do have this update coming in from the Pennsylvania Attorney General as he breaks down all of the charges and I want to play that for you here right now on live now from Fox.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_02]: I'm attorney general Dave Sunday and we're here in state college today to announce charges against more than a dozen individuals in connection with a drug trafficking operation revolving around a pair of fraternities for Penn State University students.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_02]: All but one of the charge defendants were Penn State University students at or around the time of this alleged criminal conduct.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_02]: These charges were the result.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_02]: of a long-term investigation between the Office of Attorney General Bureau of Narcotics Investigation, State College Police Department, and a pair of statewide investigating grandjuries in paneled by my office.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_02]: What we learned during this investigation was that between 2023 and 2024, large amounts of cocaine kilos were brought from Philadelphia and New York to state college, where they were
- 28:44[SPEAKER_02]: The two main dealers, the top of the chain, if you will, were senior members of the Delta Upsilon and Sigma Chi fraternities.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_02]: Agustino Abatielo was at the very top of the chain.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_02]: Thomas Robinson was a rung below that on the ladder.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_02]: And this poster here shows Operation Drugs Unlimited, and it shows the hierarchy of the organization.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_05]: the evidence presented to the grand jury led to a recent present and recommendation of charges against 14 the sentence 14 defendants 14 defendants and let me tell you something guys if you watch enough videos you will see how it did which is a different minority
- 29:38[SPEAKER_05]: They got arrested, they had to show you the triangle of the ranking of who's high and who low on the ranking on a total on the pole on the pad.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_05]: And when he just showed the paper, he pointed toward who was the highest, who was the ringleader.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_05]: who was the head poncho, the camera never turned and showed you, who was the people faces, estate on the general attorney, David Sunday, or this guy here, I think his name is David Sunday.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_05]: and the estate on him.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_05]: It didn't change.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_05]: It didn't move anywhere.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_05]: It stayed right here.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_05]: And it's crazy because every time you see something like this of a big bust, every time you see something like this, where many people are rested, it'd give you a
- 30:35[SPEAKER_05]: a hierarchy of who's in charge on the list of the lieutenants to generals, the big boss of the drug law, the drug cartel, or whatever like that.
- 30:47[SPEAKER_05]: And because this is a certain minority of people, they refuse to put that up there.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_05]: Such a sad thing to see that they will not.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_05]: It's not fair out here.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_05]: It's not cool.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_05]: It's really not.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_02]: Joe, the cocaine was primarily package at the fraternity houses and that packaging was done by fraternity brothers and often time pledges.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_02]: In fact, we found a pattern of events that showed cutting and bagging cocaine was for some pledges and indoctrination into the Delta Upsilon and Sigma Kai fraternities.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_02]: Before I get into further details on the investigation and conduct, let me tell you about the charges.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_02]: And I want to emphasize that all of these individuals are presumed innocent, unless and until proven guilty.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_02]: Agustino Abatillo, Thomas Robinson, and two others, Muhammad,
- 31:47[SPEAKER_02]: are charged with felony corrupt organizations because this was a coordinated and organized cocaine trafficking operation with regular trips to those source cities and large amounts of cocaine being brought back to these fraternities.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_02]: They are also charged with conspiracy, dealing proceeds of unlawful activity and related offenses.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_02]: A fifth person, Robert Zinnola, is charged with felony corrupt, or if I'm sorry, felony conspiracy and criminal use of communication, facility, and related misdemeanors.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_02]: These are the five primary dealers.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_02]: The eight other student age defendants in his case have been charged with misdemeanor counts of drug possession and paraphernalia.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_02]: The only non-student charge is Thomas Robinson's father, Paul Robinson, who we alleged took steps to conceal evidence, including a safe containing drugs in cash, and obstruct this investigation.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_02]: All are presumed innocent, unlessed, until proven guilty.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_02]: I know there may be many questions about the university and regards to these students and this conduct.
- 32:59[SPEAKER_02]: This is very serious criminal conduct.
- 33:02[SPEAKER_02]: There was nothing junior or childlike about this type of conduct.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_02]: This was an upper-level trafficking organization for this region in Pennsylvania.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_02]: In fact, multiple witnesses who testified in front of the grand jury referred to a batyelo as the largest dealer of cocaine
- 33:23[SPEAKER_02]: regarding the university's knowledge or actions and response to this conduct in consideration of the confidential nature of the grand jury proceedings and ongoing act of prosecutions.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_02]: I can say this.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_02]: We did not hear of any drug packaging happening on Penn State's campus.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_02]: Again, the packaging happened at all campus fraternity houses.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_02]: at the actual drug dealing was largely from friend to friend fraternity brother to fraternity brother acquaintance to acquaintance you they're trying to clean this up and say they never sold no drugs at the university are you serious what you think they clientele came from and it fraternity houses and or during parties or social engagements
- 34:17[SPEAKER_03]: check this out.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to show you how I'm so sad that they feel they can try to get away with that.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_05]: I got to let this commercial go through.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_05]: But it's so sad because anyone knows you sell that at the university.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_05]: You sold it to me.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_05]: But you please stop.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_02]: With regard to parents that might be watching this and thinking about what's happening at the school, I just wanna say this.
- 34:47[SPEAKER_02]: There is no city, county, community that exists that doesn't have to deal with issues such as drug use,
- 34:56[SPEAKER_02]: drug-dealing addiction and things of that nature.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_02]: This is something that occurs all throughout our country and all throughout the world.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_02]: And that being said, we take it very, very seriously, which is why we conducted this investigation, which is why we filed the charges we filed.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_02]: And I will say that,
- 35:18[SPEAKER_02]: not only have we filed these charges, but I promise you that we will be watching for students who think about going to college being away from home for the first time and having an opportunity to kind of do what they want.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_02]: They need to understand that
- 35:35[SPEAKER_02]: When you, there are always going to be ramifications for your actions and just because you're a college and you're making money and you think that this is something you can get away with, it's not.
- 35:47[SPEAKER_02]: It's extremely serious.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_02]: Law enforcement takes it extremely seriously and we will continue to investigate and prosecute individuals that decide to deal drugs on college campuses.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_02]: So how do we get to this point today?
- 36:03[SPEAKER_05]: See how he cleaned up and said, college campuses first they never did it.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_05]: He just said to you, they bought and sold drugs off campus at the off site locations.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_05]: What did you just told you?
- 36:20[SPEAKER_05]: Cell drugs on COVID campuses.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_05]: You just said it.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, this conduct regards trafficking that happened throughout 2023 and 2024.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_02]: Long enforcement employed a number of investigative tactics to identify the individuals involved, how they were obtaining the cocaine and methods of packaging and distribution.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_02]: The grand jury presentment recommending charges
- 36:49[SPEAKER_02]: is available to you as it is the affidavit a probable cause attached to the filed criminal complaints.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_02]: You will read about the runs to Philadelphia and New York, the large quantities of cocaine that came back from these sources and the transactions large and small, the followed.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_02]: I will note that Thomas Robinson was charged previously as well in December of 2024 with drug dealing.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_02]: charges against all 14 defendants were filed this morning.
- 37:20[SPEAKER_02]: The majority of those with felony charges were arraigned this morning with the exception of Abatillo, a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_05]: All right, I must stop there.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_05]: As you can see, Penn State,
- 37:43[SPEAKER_05]: May 14 arrest about the L.O.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_05]: on the ringlead is he probably try to flee the country or whatever.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_05]: He said, hey, no, no time.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_05]: He out got to catch me, catch me moving, you know?
- 37:57[SPEAKER_05]: It happens, you know, in conclusion, guys.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_05]: No way you go with safe.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_05]: Things happen everywhere you go.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_05]: You have to keep your head on the swivel.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_05]: Understand the people you keep, the company you keep can be helpful or detrimental to your life because of the actions they make around you or the things they could do that you don't know about.
- 38:31[SPEAKER_05]: So please be careful with the company you keep.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_05]: Don't mess with the drugs.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_05]: It's just it ain't worth it, man.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_05]: It really ain't, but they keep building prisons.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_05]: They're going to put somebody in it.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_05]: They're going to put somebody in it.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_05]: You know, I'm saying, and that's all you need to understand.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_05]: So stay safe.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_05]: Enjoy the weather, enjoy the summer, we don't have much time left in the summer, but go to the beach, relax, indulge yourself, God is good all the time and stay safe, this is 152, I'm out, peace.
