- 0:05Speaker 1: Okay, we're going to start off here. Welcome. Today is
- 0:08Speaker 1: the thirtieth of January. This is a composting bin from
- 0:15Speaker 1: the City of New York, nicely prepared garbage to take out.
- 0:22Speaker 1: These are like r eighty pound eighty gallon tubs. The
- 0:27Speaker 1: whole street to around West eightieth Street. Over there's the
- 0:30Speaker 1: Museum of Natural History, the Guilder Science Museum. And why
- 0:35Speaker 1: am I talking about these kinds of things because the
- 0:39Speaker 1: fact of the matter is the New York City has
- 0:42Speaker 1: done a lot for environmental concerns. Our street has gotten
- 0:47Speaker 1: much better over the years. Trees out there because they
- 0:52Speaker 1: will take that and mulch it up different containers for
- 0:57Speaker 1: different things. You have to do it or you get fine.
- 1:00Speaker 1: So back to Earth Day. This is all dependent upon
- 1:03Speaker 1: Earth Day because Mother Earth has to absorb all this waste,
- 1:09Speaker 1: let's call it. Okay, in America has I believe, like
- 1:13Speaker 1: five times more than most countries. We're in the like
- 1:17Speaker 1: thirty or forty number as far as taking care of
- 1:20Speaker 1: our waste. So big snowstorm here in New York and
- 1:26Speaker 1: so we're digging out. But the good news is we
- 1:30Speaker 1: will and we had machines that took the snow and
- 1:34Speaker 1: it melted it. And because it melted it at big,
- 1:38Speaker 1: big sizes, that was a good thing. And where'd that
- 1:42Speaker 1: water go? See, this is water. It might look like
- 1:45Speaker 1: snow to you, but it's water. So is there a
- 1:49Speaker 1: lot of water here? Is this fresh water? It's from
- 1:54Speaker 1: the sky. Some people are taking out of the sky
- 1:58Speaker 1: water and save it. So that's our This week's UH
- 2:06Speaker 1: newsletter is all about Earthday. Join us April twenty second.
- 2:10Speaker 1: We really need your support and just call us A
- 2:15Speaker 1: two and two six four seven one two one two.
- 2:17Speaker 1: My a am is Paul Sactis and we'll take it
