- 0:00Speaker 1: You're waking up to Denver's Morning.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Show with Nina and Josh.
- 0:04Speaker 3: Mix 100.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Josh, today's a special day because it's.
- 0:08Speaker 4: National Coffee Day and now you're officially a coffee drinker
- 0:11Speaker 4: as of yesterday, you told us.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Nina, I feel like this is all happening so fast.
- 0:15Speaker 3: I don't understand why I started loving coffee, but something
- 0:19Speaker 3: hit the other day and it was a new quote
- 0:23Speaker 3: unquote drink that I tried and I just was like,
- 0:26Speaker 3: that's darn good. And now all of a sudden it's
- 0:28Speaker 3: National Coffee Day and I have to start drinking it
- 0:30Speaker 3: every day and I'm just like, it's like rushing into
- 0:32Speaker 3: a relationship.
- 0:33Speaker 1: I'm like, okay, alright, hold on, let's take this slow. However.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Yeah, you're right. There's no excuse to be tired on
- 0:39Speaker 3: this Tuesday, right? We should all be caffeinated up, huh?
- 0:42Speaker 2: Absolutely. It's National Coffee Day. Get yourself a coffee.
- 0:45Speaker 4: Yeah, Josh, you said you tried a vanilla latte, which
- 0:48Speaker 4: is the most basic girl drink ever.
- 0:51Speaker 2: But honestly, I love that for you.
- 0:53Speaker 4: And when you are first indulging in coffee, it can
- 0:56Speaker 4: be bitter, you know? So you sweeten it up with
- 0:59Speaker 4: a little vanilla latte and.
- 1:01Speaker 2: It's good.
- 1:02Speaker 3: I feel like it's almost fitting that I did end
- 1:04Speaker 3: up liking that first because you're right. Like yesterday you said,
- 1:07Speaker 3: you know, that's your basic high school girl drink. But
- 1:10Speaker 3: I feel like that's what you have to start with.
- 1:12Speaker 3: It's a starter drink and that's okay. It's totally a
- 1:15Speaker 3: starter drink. How you started with it in high school
- 1:17Speaker 3: is like, you know, how I'm starting with it at
- 1:19Speaker 3: 31 years old. So I like that that's the one
- 1:23Speaker 3: that I liked. But now I need to branch out, right?
- 1:25Speaker 2: I think so. Well, and it's fall. So honestly, perfect time. Hazelnut,
- 1:30Speaker 2: some pumpkin spice.
- 1:31Speaker 1: I was like, are we talking PSLs here?
- 1:33Speaker 2: Because I've never even sniffed that. Maybe some chai tea latte.
- 1:35Speaker 4: Someone on the text line said that you should try
- 1:37Speaker 4: a chai tea latte if you like a vanilla latte.
- 1:40Speaker 1: So good.
- 1:40Speaker 2: So good.
- 1:41Speaker 3: I'm so nervous. There's so many things to try. And
- 1:44Speaker 3: I feel like I'm going to do it wrong and
- 1:45Speaker 3: turn me off to them again, you know? No.
- 1:47Speaker 2: It'll be okay. I got you, you know?
- 1:49Speaker 4: And even if you find a drink that you don't
- 1:51Speaker 4: necessarily love.
- 1:52Speaker 1: There's a million others, right?
- 1:53Speaker 2: Yeah, we'll figure it out.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Are you a PSL girl? I don't think you've seen...
- 1:56Speaker 1: I've seen you with them.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Not really. Honestly, I have my black coffee that I
- 2:01Speaker 2: drink every day.
- 2:02Speaker 3: Wow.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I know. The calories.
- 2:04Speaker 1: The calories, Josh. Are you a 54-year-old man? Right? I
- 2:06Speaker 1: just need my morning cup of joe. Literally.
- 2:09Speaker 4: No, I mean, as much coffee as I have to
- 2:11Speaker 4: drink every morning, I'm like, let's skip the calories.
- 2:14Speaker 2: Let's skip the sugar. So I just... Do what I
- 2:17Speaker 2: have to do.
- 2:18Speaker 3: I mean, I feel like most of those coffees, you're right,
- 2:20Speaker 3: like the sugar, sugar ones are like 3,000 calories every
- 2:23Speaker 3: single time you drink that.
- 2:24Speaker 2: It can be pretty crazy.
- 2:26Speaker 4: But anyway, it is National Coffee Day, so happy National
- 2:30Speaker 4: Coffee Day to.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Everyone out there.
- 2:32Speaker 4: There is a video that is going pretty viral right
- 2:35Speaker 4: now of this woman.
- 2:36Speaker 2: She was at work.
- 2:37Speaker 4: It looks like she's a server or something based on
- 2:39Speaker 4: her uniform. And she was on break, so she's in
- 2:43Speaker 4: a private room on break, whatever. You can see the
- 2:45Speaker 4: door is open to a hallway, and she's doom scrolling
- 2:49Speaker 4: on her phone, just, you know.
- 2:50Speaker 1: As one does.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Right, exactly.
- 2:52Speaker 4: But she wasn't necessarily, like, standing or sitting even. She was, like,
- 2:55Speaker 4: crouched down on the floor. I don't know if there
- 2:57Speaker 4: wasn't any chairs in the room.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Okay. But she was kind of crouched down, just doom scrolling.
- 3:01Speaker 2: But that's what she was doing, scrolling her phone.
- 3:03Speaker 4: And then a group of people walk by, and one
- 3:06Speaker 4: man on the security camera, this is all security cam footage,
- 3:09Speaker 4: he comes back and comes in the room, taps her
- 3:12Speaker 4: on the shoulder to say hello.
- 3:13Speaker 2: She turns around. And it's Tom Cruise. Tom Cruise, of
- 3:18Speaker 2: all people, is like, hey, saw you there by yourself.
- 3:21Speaker 2: You doing okay?
- 3:22Speaker 4: Like, he was checking in on her, he says, to
- 3:24Speaker 4: make sure that she was okay because, again, she wasn't sitting, standing,
- 3:28Speaker 4: or anything like that.
- 3:29Speaker 2: She was kind of crouched down on the floor.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Well, and I can see how, like, if you are
- 3:33Speaker 3: walking past someone like that, it could look like they're
- 3:36Speaker 3: maybe in pain.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Or crying or, you know.
- 3:39Speaker 1: In emotional distress.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:41Speaker 1: So I understand that.
- 3:43Speaker 3: I feel like I'd be in a fever dream if
- 3:44Speaker 3: I turned around and the person that tapped me on
- 3:47Speaker 3: the shoulder is Tom Cruise.
- 3:48Speaker 1: Literally. I'd be like, what is happening? You could tell.
- 3:50Speaker 2: It took her a second.
- 3:51Speaker 4: She turned around, looked at him, and it took a
- 3:54Speaker 4: second or two for it to click that, oh my gosh,
- 3:56Speaker 4: this is Tom Cruise in front of me saying hello
- 3:59Speaker 4: in my break room right now.
- 4:00Speaker 1: To ask if I'm okay. Yeah, you're like, why am
- 4:02Speaker 1: I at work? Why is he at work?
- 4:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Why is he in the back of the work where
- 4:05Speaker 1: I am?
- 4:06Speaker 3: Yeah. What is going on? And did I win, like,
- 4:09Speaker 3: a celebrity contest? Like, what's happening?
- 4:10Speaker 2: Yeah, for real. Like, where are the cameras?
- 4:13Speaker 4: But he gave her, like, a little fist bump action.
- 4:16Speaker 4: So she fist bumped him back. And then he went
- 4:19Speaker 4: on his way. And she was like, okay.
- 4:21Speaker 3: Hey, and you know what? Thank God for those CCTVs. Because,
- 4:25Speaker 3: I mean, seriously, without that, literally no one would believe her.
- 4:28Speaker 3: that Tom Cruise dapped her up in the back of
- 4:30Speaker 3: wherever she works.
- 4:31Speaker 1: Literally. For real. That is so good. Well, hey, have
- 4:34Speaker 1: you ever seen the show Hot Ones, Nina?
- 4:35Speaker 2: Oh, of course. I love that one.
- 4:37Speaker 3: So that's one of my favorite shows of all time.
- 4:39Speaker 3: If you don't know of it, it's the show where
- 4:41Speaker 3: they make you eat hotter and hotter wings progressively, and
- 4:44Speaker 3: then they just interview you. Sean Evans is the host.
- 4:46Speaker 3: It's been going on for a while now. Many, many
- 4:48Speaker 3: celebrities do it. Well, Anne Hathaway revealed that she was
- 4:51Speaker 3: supposed to do it. She has been on a tear
- 4:54Speaker 3: when it comes to movies lately.
- 4:55Speaker 1: As of 2026.
- 4:56Speaker 3: Yeah. She's been in Mother Mary, The Devil Wears Prada 2,
- 4:59Speaker 3: The Odyssey, The End of Oak Street, and now she
- 5:03Speaker 3: is going on a press tour for Verity, the new
- 5:05Speaker 3: Colleen Hoover adaptation. She explained that she was supposed to
- 5:10Speaker 3: go on this spicy wing challenge TV show for Verity.
- 5:14Speaker 3: And then she said, well, because of my pregnancy and
- 5:17Speaker 3: the term that I'm in right now, my doctor said, uh-uh,
- 5:20Speaker 3: don't be doing that. It could send you into early labor.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 5:24Speaker 1: I didn't know that. Yes.
- 5:25Speaker 4: There are all sorts of tips and tricks for women
- 5:29Speaker 4: who are close to their due date or sometimes past
- 5:32Speaker 4: their due date to try to induce labor. And I'm
- 5:35Speaker 4: pretty sure a hot sauce or spicy things that's one
- 5:38Speaker 4: of them.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Well, and also like the world's hottest sauce.
- 5:41Speaker 3: That's what you, that's what you essentially work yourself up
- 5:43Speaker 3: to is like the Carolina Reaper peppers.
- 5:45Speaker 4: I don't know if I could do hot ones because
- 5:47Speaker 4: that's a little too spicy. You see everyone sweating, crying,
- 5:51Speaker 4: their face hurts, their skin hurts.
- 5:53Speaker 1: I have the sauces. Do you want to try it sometime?
- 5:57Speaker 1: I have them. I'm just saying I'm obsessed with the show.
- 6:00Speaker 1: I love it. So I bought the sauces myself. Um,
- 6:03Speaker 1: They're horrible. Like it gets to a point where it's
- 6:05Speaker 1: not even flavorful. It's just pain. It's just hot. It's
- 6:08Speaker 1: literally just pain. Why are we doing this? Anne Hathaway said,
- 6:10Speaker 1: maybe I'll do it next year.
- 6:12Speaker 2: I love that.
- 6:12Speaker 1: She's really close to having her baby. So congrats to her.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Yes. Congrats to Anne Hathaway.
- 6:16Speaker 4: So Josh, there is something new Instagram is doing that
- 6:21Speaker 4: is super creepy that we're going to get into in
- 6:23Speaker 4: just a second. But a little while ago on the
- 6:25Speaker 4: Celebrity Quickie, we talked about Tom Cruise found this woman
- 6:29Speaker 4: who in her break room, kind of crouched over, checked
- 6:31Speaker 4: in on her, making sure she's okay.
- 6:33Speaker 2: She totally was. She was just doom scrolling.
- 6:35Speaker 4: And then we got a text on the text line
- 6:38Speaker 4: from Joy sharing a story.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Thank you, Joy.
- 6:40Speaker 4: She says, one time when I was at therapy crying
- 6:43Speaker 4: in the waiting room, I looked up and Dog the
- 6:46Speaker 4: Bounty Hunter came out of the office and told me
- 6:49Speaker 4: to chin up. I did, in fact, not chin up.
- 6:53Speaker 4: I cried more from embarrassment. Aww.
- 6:56Speaker 1: That's the greatest thing I've ever heard.
- 6:58Speaker 2: No, seriously. Joy, thank you so much for texting in
- 7:01Speaker 2: and sharing that story.
- 7:03Speaker 4: I hope you're feeling better than you were that day
- 7:05Speaker 4: in the waiting room, for sure.
- 7:07Speaker 2: But that, I'm so sorry to laugh. Like, that's hilarious.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Joy, you're right there. I'm sorry. Your pain is our gain.
- 7:13Speaker 1: I know.
- 7:14Speaker 3: That's one of the funniest stories I've ever heard in
- 7:16Speaker 3: my life. And I love that your name is Joy
- 7:18Speaker 3: because that just brought me immense joy.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Exactly. So thank you for that. You poor thing.
- 7:23Speaker 4: And I, too, would have cried more from embarrassment. You
- 7:25Speaker 4: look up, and it's Dog the Bounty Hunter.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Like, oh, hi. Like, seeing you in, like, one of
- 7:28Speaker 3: your worst moments, you're like, why? Like, what are we
- 7:31Speaker 3: doing here?
- 7:31Speaker 2: What are we doing here?
- 7:32Speaker 1: Why?
- 7:33Speaker 2: Like, thank goodness I'm in my therapist's office right now.
- 7:35Speaker 1: Yeah, we got a lot more to talk about. I'm
- 7:37Speaker 1: going to need that extra hour real quick.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Yes, exactly. Oh, my gosh.
- 7:42Speaker 4: So Instagram is getting a bit of an update. Mark Zuckerberg,
- 7:46Speaker 4: just doing more Mark Zuckerberg things. He's creating something called
- 7:49Speaker 4: Instagram Plus. And yes, it's a subscription that you have
- 7:54Speaker 4: to pay for every month. It's going to cost you $ 3. 99
- 7:57Speaker 4: if this is something that you want to sign up for.
- 8:00Speaker 4: But people are calling this update really creepy. This is
- 8:04Speaker 4: the creepers update or subscription if you want on Instagram.
- 8:08Speaker 4: So- But one of the key things that it does
- 8:10Speaker 4: is it allows you to view other people's story without
- 8:15Speaker 4: them being notified that you were looking at their story.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Why are you doing this?
- 8:20Speaker 4: Because normally you can see a list of people who
- 8:23Speaker 4: all have looked at your story.
- 8:25Speaker 2: And that's fine. That's been normal.
- 8:27Speaker 4: But you not only do not show up on that list,
- 8:31Speaker 4: but you can go back and view their story multiple times.
- 8:34Speaker 2: And vice versa.
- 8:35Speaker 4: If someone's looking at your story, you have the ability
- 8:38Speaker 4: to see how many times an individual came back to
- 8:41Speaker 4: look at your stuff.
- 8:42Speaker 3: Okay, Nina, this is not good for me because I'm
- 8:46Speaker 3: a story stalker.
- 8:47Speaker 1: If I like what you post, I'll look a couple times.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Like, I like When people post concerts they've been at,
- 8:52Speaker 3: and it's a concert that I haven't been able to
- 8:55Speaker 3: go to, and it's one of my favorite artists, I'll
- 8:57Speaker 3: watch it a couple times because I'm living vicariously through you.
- 8:59Speaker 3: If you're traveling and you're at a cool place, I'll
- 9:02Speaker 3: look at it a couple times. And also, when you
- 9:04Speaker 3: have not close friends, but friends that you look at
- 9:07Speaker 3: more often on their stories, they pop up and they're
- 9:10Speaker 3: like the first ones there. So you can click them
- 9:12Speaker 3: more often to re-see what they're doing. So if they're like, oh,
- 9:14Speaker 3: Josh is checking my story out 46 times.
- 9:17Speaker 1: I don't like that.
- 9:18Speaker 2: No, not at all.
- 9:19Speaker 3: I can see how this would be really good for
- 9:20Speaker 3: businesses because there's other things too.
- 9:22Speaker 1: You can boost your stories.
- 9:23Speaker 3: You can have your stories stay for two days as
- 9:25Speaker 3: opposed to just a 24-hour period. So for businesses, and
- 9:28Speaker 3: if you're trying to sell something, I understand that. But
- 9:32Speaker 3: for the average person, I don't like... what Meta is
- 9:35Speaker 3: doing here. I don't like what they've done with Facebook.
- 9:37Speaker 3: They've been charged with a bunch of different things on
- 9:39Speaker 3: Facebook over the years.
- 9:40Speaker 4: Okay, can we talk about that really quick about Facebook?
- 9:42Speaker 4: Because the links situation is really upsetting me right now.
- 9:47Speaker 4: Facebook is now charging you to post links to a website, mix100. com
- 9:53Speaker 4: slash whatever, right? And you only get two links per
- 9:57Speaker 4: month that your page can post now. And any more
- 10:01Speaker 4: than that, you need to purchase the ability to post
- 10:05Speaker 4: more links.
- 10:06Speaker 2: It's not okay.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Mark Zuckerberg is worth $ 245. 4 billion.
- 10:10Speaker 3: He is number six currently on the Forbes real-time billionaires list.
- 10:17Speaker 1: That's crazy. Nina, Why is he charging for links? What
- 10:22Speaker 1: more does he need?
- 10:24Speaker 2: Another yacht?
- 10:26Speaker 1: No, you don't. No.
- 10:29Speaker 2: No, he doesn't need it. I hate him. Why are
- 10:32Speaker 2: we doing this?
- 10:34Speaker 4: Three things you need to know before you go into
- 10:36Speaker 4: the office today. Like the slowest chase ever. So Jefferson
- 10:41Speaker 4: County Sheriff's Office. in Littleton shared a very funny video
- 10:45Speaker 4: from last month where a 100 pound tortoise tried to
- 10:49Speaker 4: escape his home. He got out of the fenced backyard,
- 10:54Speaker 4: went into the neighborhood, went on a bit of an adventure,
- 10:57Speaker 4: was in the middle of the cul-de-sac, And his owners
- 11:01Speaker 4: tried luring him back home with some treats and stuff.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Some lettuce or something, right?
- 11:05Speaker 4: But the tortoise had other plans, was just ignoring the treats,
- 11:09Speaker 4: just wanted to go for a nice walk.
- 11:11Speaker 1: What did these owners do to him? He's like, I'm
- 11:13Speaker 1: getting out of here.
- 11:15Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly.
- 11:16Speaker 4: Now, Josh, there's a 100-pound tortoise living in Littleton.
- 11:20Speaker 2: Can you guess what they named him? Big Boy.
- 11:24Speaker 3: Big Boy.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Big Boy.
- 11:25Speaker 1: I don't know, Chuck.
- 11:29Speaker 2: No, his name is Lard. Lard the tortoise.
- 11:31Speaker 3: Okay, that's fantastic. That is so good. But why did
- 11:34Speaker 3: Lard want to get out so bad? That's what I
- 11:36Speaker 3: want to know. You can't have that bad of a
- 11:39Speaker 3: life in Littleton, Colorado as a tortoise.
- 11:41Speaker 4: I can't imagine, and I'm sure that his owners take
- 11:44Speaker 4: great care of him. I've seen tortoise with all sorts
- 11:48Speaker 4: of great things in a backyard. There's room to walk around.
- 11:51Speaker 4: Sometimes there's a little pool to wash up in. I
- 11:54Speaker 4: think they like sand. It kind of scratches on them
- 11:56Speaker 4: a little bit.
- 11:57Speaker 2: You know, all sorts of stuff.
- 11:59Speaker 4: So I'm sure that Lard the tortoise was living fancy enough.
- 12:04Speaker 2: But I don't know. He just wanted to go for
- 12:05Speaker 2: a walk. That's all.
- 12:06Speaker 1: That makes sense. That's so funny. How big was he again?
- 12:08Speaker 2: About 100 pounds.
- 12:10Speaker 4: And it took two to three people to carry Lard
- 12:13Speaker 4: back home into his backyard.
- 12:15Speaker 1: He's a big turtle.
- 12:16Speaker 3: All right, Nina, I got a question for you here.
- 12:18Speaker 3: When you first wake up, We get up very early
- 12:21Speaker 3: in the morning. Are you one of those people that
- 12:23Speaker 3: just utters curse words because of the time of day
- 12:25Speaker 3: it is?
- 12:27Speaker 2: I kind of have a potty mouth sometimes.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Okay. All right.
- 12:30Speaker 3: I feel like that might be one of the first
- 12:31Speaker 3: things I say. But according to a new report, the
- 12:33Speaker 3: average American is uttering their first curse words of the
- 12:36Speaker 3: day just before 11 a.m. So like 1054, 1055 in
- 12:40Speaker 3: the morning.
- 12:40Speaker 2: That's the average?
- 12:41Speaker 3: And they said only about 25% of the people don't
- 12:44Speaker 3: even make it till 9 a.m. I feel like many
- 12:46Speaker 3: more people say their curse words before. for like 8 a.m.
- 12:51Speaker 4: I think so, too. There's one or two that you
- 12:53Speaker 4: could definitely spout out immediately.
- 12:55Speaker 3: Well, and not necessarily for us, but for the people
- 12:58Speaker 3: that are doing the drive-in and they're hitting that morning traffic,
- 13:00Speaker 3: that is well before 10.55 in the morning.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly.
- 13:04Speaker 3: I'd be saying every word I know in my vocabulary
- 13:07Speaker 3: when I'm hitting that morning traffic. 100%. I cannot stand it.
- 13:10Speaker 3: They say that the study focuses mostly on the people
- 13:12Speaker 3: that are experiencing... you know, stress and frustration. Let's try
- 13:15Speaker 3: to say that. Stress and frustration on their way into
- 13:19Speaker 3: work or just with their everyday life. But most of
- 13:22Speaker 3: them make it till around 11 a.m. today, which to
- 13:24Speaker 3: me is absolutely wild.
- 13:27Speaker 2: I mean, maybe we're just delinquents is what I'm learning here.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Oh, I hate that. Wait, no. I don't like that.
- 13:32Speaker 1: We are good people, Nina. Oh, man.
- 13:36Speaker 4: You know, new parents, they often have a hard time
- 13:38Speaker 4: keeping up with parenting and keeping a social life. And
- 13:42Speaker 4: so there's a club in Denver that is actually helping
- 13:45Speaker 4: with that. It's called the Den Social Club, which is
- 13:48Speaker 4: a coffee house, and it has new parent meetups. They're
- 13:52Speaker 4: currently in low high, and they offer membership packages. And
- 13:55Speaker 4: this has actually gotten so popular that they're expanding with
- 13:58Speaker 4: a location in Inglewood. So they offer workspaces for adults
- 14:02Speaker 4: for you to get your work done, play areas for
- 14:05Speaker 4: the kids, different classrooms for activities for the kids, and
- 14:08Speaker 4: different programming throughout the week, like Dad's Coffee and Mom's Night.
- 14:13Speaker 4: There's also private patios for you to enjoy. They do
- 14:15Speaker 4: have beer, wine menus, things like that. So something to
- 14:19Speaker 4: check out if you are a new parent. feeling a
- 14:22Speaker 4: little bit isolated from other adults, which is so common.
- 14:26Speaker 4: And there's no shame in that. It happens all the time.
- 14:29Speaker 4: And places like this are just trying to help new
- 14:33Speaker 4: parents get out there and meet other parents and hang
- 14:36Speaker 4: out with other adults so you're not only with the kids.
- 14:38Speaker 4: We love our kids, but... You know, you want to
- 14:40Speaker 4: hang out with adults sometimes.
- 14:42Speaker 3: Yeah, you need your friend time. You need your adult time, too.
- 14:44Speaker 3: I mean, when your lives just end up revolving around
- 14:46Speaker 3: your children for the next, I don't know, 18 years.
- 14:48Speaker 2: Right.
- 14:49Speaker 1: That's tough.
- 14:49Speaker 3: It is.
- 14:50Speaker 1: And I love that they're doing this.
- 14:51Speaker 3: That's a really cool option to have to be able
- 14:52Speaker 3: to keep your social life somewhat going, you know?
- 14:55Speaker 2: Exactly. So you can check out the Den Social Club
- 14:58Speaker 2: here in Denver, which is great.
- 14:59Speaker 4: So the actor Chadwick Boseman passed away from colon cancer
- 15:03Speaker 4: in 2020, and his widow, Taylor Simone Leadward Boseman- is
- 15:09Speaker 4: working with a production company for a documentary on Chadwick's life,
- 15:15Speaker 4: which is great.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Which is awesome. That dude was a hell of an actor.
- 15:19Speaker 3: Obviously, the whole Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the Jackie Robinson
- 15:22Speaker 3: movie that he was in was one of my favorites,
- 15:25Speaker 3: and it really depicted the hardships that Jackie went through.
- 15:29Speaker 3: And I remember Jackie Robinson's wife at the time commented
- 15:32Speaker 3: how realistic it was.
- 15:33Speaker 1: And I loved it. And Chadwick portrayed it perfectly. Sorry
- 15:35Speaker 1: to go on a little tangent there.
- 15:36Speaker 3: No, yeah.
- 15:37Speaker 2: No, he was a fantastic actor.
- 15:39Speaker 4: And it's just so sad that, you know, he had
- 15:41Speaker 4: such a short life with us and especially on screen.
- 15:44Speaker 4: But this documentary on Chadwick's life, it's causing some family drama.
- 15:49Speaker 4: So Chadwick's brothers... are saying that they want a piece
- 15:52Speaker 4: of the pie. Chadwick's wife, Taylor, says that they are.
- 15:57Speaker 2: What are you talking about?
- 15:58Speaker 4: They got the same paperwork that she does, which is
- 16:00Speaker 4: already very generous with this documentary, because technically, Chadwick's wife, Taylor,
- 16:06Speaker 4: is the only one who retained 100% right to control
- 16:11Speaker 4: and benefit from Chadwick's name, likeness, anything.
- 16:14Speaker 1: Honestly, as she should. She's his wife. That's the way
- 16:17Speaker 1: it goes. I'm sorry, brothers.
- 16:18Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 16:19Speaker 3: So.
- 16:20Speaker 4: She says that the family is just coming out of
- 16:22Speaker 4: the woodworks about this and they're demanding more and more money.
- 16:25Speaker 4: They want contract negotiations. They want all this stuff that
- 16:28Speaker 4: is just very, very unreasonable when she's received the same contract,
- 16:32Speaker 4: the same payout, all of it. And again, they don't
- 16:34Speaker 4: even need to have any sort of payout. She's being
- 16:37Speaker 4: nice to them. On top of that, she says she's
- 16:39Speaker 4: already given the family money in the past, like over
- 16:42Speaker 4: a million dollars already in the past.
- 16:45Speaker 2: And now they want.
- 16:48Speaker 2: With this documentary.
- 16:49Speaker 1: I hate this.
- 16:50Speaker 3: This is exactly what we just talked about the other
- 16:52Speaker 3: day with all of everything that's going on with Dolly
- 16:55Speaker 3: Parton's family and things like that. And then people just
- 16:58Speaker 3: get more and more selfish. And as time goes on,
- 17:00Speaker 3: it's like they heal, which is good, obviously. But then
- 17:02Speaker 3: at that point, they just get more selfish.
- 17:04Speaker 2: Right.
- 17:05Speaker 4: They forget about the hardships and the pain and everything
- 17:08Speaker 4: that they go through in losing a loved one.
- 17:09Speaker 2: And now they only see dollar signs and it's messed up.
- 17:12Speaker 3: And on top of that, Chadwick did all the work.
- 17:14Speaker 3: Why are they trying to profit off of that?
- 17:16Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 17:17Speaker 4: So it's just really messy, and it's unfortunate, and we're
- 17:20Speaker 4: seeing it once again.
- 17:21Speaker 3: That's such an odd thing. I don't like that at all.
- 17:23Speaker 3: I want to talk about Miley Cyrus. She has just
- 17:26Speaker 3: claimed her sixth Billboard 200 number one with her new album,
- 17:29Speaker 3: Bass Persuades. So she's also debuted the new single a
- 17:32Speaker 3: couple weeks ago with Bass Persuades.
- 17:34Speaker 1: That one's named as well.
- 17:36Speaker 3: She has debuted atop the September and now going into
- 17:39Speaker 3: October month as well.
- 17:41Speaker 1: It's her first chart topper since Bangers in 2013. Well,
- 17:44Speaker 1: she hasn't released.
- 17:48Speaker 1: That much music recently. I mean, I know she had.
- 17:51Speaker 2: I mean, she did Endless Summer. That was a great album.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Fantastic. You're right. It did not.
- 17:55Speaker 4: She had Her Plastic Hearts, which was kind of the
- 17:58Speaker 4: 80s rock album. I know that one didn't do great.
- 18:00Speaker 1: No. And it was just a completely different sound for her.
- 18:02Speaker 1: I remember that. People were like, whoa, this is Miley.
- 18:04Speaker 1: We didn't even really notice that.
- 18:05Speaker 3: Right.
- 18:06Speaker 1: Which I understand.
- 18:06Speaker 3: Every artist wants to go through their... Different phases, whatever.
- 18:10Speaker 1: I'm changing. This is a new me, all that, with life.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Or just experiment with different types of music. That's fine, too.
- 18:16Speaker 3: 100%. And I totally understand that. However, this is her
- 18:18Speaker 3: first one since 2013 bangers, which that one was a
- 18:21Speaker 3: whole different Miley that we got way back in the
- 18:23Speaker 3: day too.
- 18:24Speaker 2: That was my favorite album from Miley, even still to
- 18:26Speaker 2: this day.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Nina, it was so good.
- 18:28Speaker 3: Like seeing that album with her and just the way
- 18:31Speaker 3: she changed her appearance and everything.
- 18:33Speaker 1: You're like, she ain't Hannah Montana anymore.
- 18:35Speaker 3: So congrats to Miley getting her number one album once again, what,
- 18:39Speaker 3: 13 years after her last time.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Wow.
- 18:42Speaker 2: Congrats to Miley. That's awesome.
- 18:44Speaker 4: And Renee Zellweger, that actress is involved in a lawsuit
- 18:47Speaker 4: with her boyfriend when they rented out their house to
- 18:50Speaker 4: a friend who tripped on a rug and she says
- 18:52Speaker 4: that that rug was covering a hole She fell and
- 18:55Speaker 4: hurt herself, and she is suing Renee and her boyfriend
- 18:59Speaker 4: for $ 10 million. But Renee can breathe easier now because
- 19:04Speaker 4: a judge just dismissed Renee from this case because she
- 19:07Speaker 4: doesn't own the house. She's not on the lease, nothing
- 19:09Speaker 4: like that. Her boyfriend, Ant and Stod, owns the home,
- 19:13Speaker 4: and so he still has to go through the court proceedings.
- 19:16Speaker 4: some friend who is suing them after staying in their house,
- 19:20Speaker 4: probably for free, for $ 10 million. I'm thinking that that
- 19:25Speaker 4: $ 10 million is gonna go way down because really, Renee
- 19:29Speaker 4: was the cash.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Cow, right? Yeah, the boyfriend's like, I ain't got that
- 19:31Speaker 1: $ 10 million. He's like, hold on, hold on, hold on.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 19:35Speaker 1: What a crappy friend. I almost made me curse.
- 19:38Speaker 3: What a crappy, like seriously, that's horrible. Like you are
- 19:42Speaker 3: trying to just completely expose Renee and be like, Hey,
- 19:46Speaker 3: you know what? I know you're, she probably didn't even fall.
- 19:48Speaker 3: She probably barely tripped over the rug and then was like, oh,
- 19:52Speaker 3: I can make some money off of it.
- 19:53Speaker 2: It's so messed up. You are a horrible person.
- 19:55Speaker 1: I do not like that.
- 19:56Speaker 2: Someone literally opens up their home to you. There was
- 19:59Speaker 2: an accident. We understand.
- 20:01Speaker 3: But.
- 20:02Speaker 2: To do that is messed up.
- 20:03Speaker 1: Renee didn't push you down, okay? Girlfriend, come on. That's
- 20:07Speaker 1: so annoying.
- 20:08Speaker 2: I know, I know.
- 20:09Speaker 4: Three things you need to know before you go into
- 20:11Speaker 4: the office today. Like, you know, trends, they will come
- 20:14Speaker 4: back around always. We have 90s baggy jeans are back
- 20:18Speaker 4: right now. Collectibles are everywhere.
- 20:21Speaker 1: And now.
- 20:22Speaker 4: 80s hairstyles are coming back, if you can believe it.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Oh no, the ozone is screaming right now. Help me!
- 20:29Speaker 1: For real.
- 20:30Speaker 4: The side part blowout made famous by Cindy Crawford is
- 20:34Speaker 4: everywhere right now.
- 20:35Speaker 3: Really?
- 20:36Speaker 2: Yeah, which by.
- 20:37Speaker 4: The way, Gen Z and Millennial are so crossed about
- 20:41Speaker 4: side part versus middle part.
- 20:43Speaker 2: So the side part blowout, it's big right now.
- 20:46Speaker 3: Well, you know what else I've seen that's funny is
- 20:48Speaker 3: there are two men specifically that are always all over
- 20:52Speaker 3: TikTok right now. And they have the massive like blowout
- 20:56Speaker 3: hairstyle and then also.
- 20:57Speaker 1: The long bullets.
- 20:58Speaker 2: Are we talking like Jersey Shore?
- 21:00Speaker 1: No, we're talking like 1980s hair band singer. Love it.
- 21:04Speaker 1: It's crazy hairstyles, and I'm like, dang, look at you guys.
- 21:06Speaker 1: It's wild.
- 21:07Speaker 4: Well, messy curls or natural curls are also in, which
- 21:11Speaker 4: I feel like is a part of that a little bit.
- 21:13Speaker 4: And the outward flipped ends, like Princess Diana used to wear,
- 21:17Speaker 4: people are flipping the ends out now. That's an 80s
- 21:19Speaker 4: hairstyle that has been coming back.
- 21:21Speaker 3: Well, and do you know what I've seen a lot
- 21:23Speaker 3: of for men specifically is the perm.
- 21:25Speaker 1: Yes. They are perming their hair again more and more
- 21:28Speaker 1: and more.
- 21:29Speaker 2: My nephew did that. He permed his hair.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Is my hair too? I'm going to grow my hair
- 21:33Speaker 1: out and get a perm. Do it.
- 21:35Speaker 4: It's all the rage right now. Basically, high volume. So,
- 21:39Speaker 4: you know, like you said, the ozone is screaming. Get
- 21:41Speaker 4: that hairspray.
- 21:42Speaker 2: High volume. It's in, baby.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Good God, help us. All right.
- 21:45Speaker 3: So we're going from the 80s, baby, to Gen Alpha
- 21:48Speaker 3: because their slang right now. has everybody else in question
- 21:52Speaker 3: mark right now. We don't know what they're saying. So
- 21:55Speaker 3: Google's most searched teenage slang in 2026 is not only
- 21:59Speaker 3: leaving millennials, it's also the Gen Xers, and even us,
- 22:02Speaker 3: Gen Z, scratching their heads. We don't understand the terms
- 22:07Speaker 3: like scuba or crine. or quiet on the creek. These
- 22:11Speaker 3: are dominating Google searches right now as all of us,
- 22:14Speaker 3: like Nina, our frustrated adult selves are scrambling trying to
- 22:19Speaker 3: get these definitions. Apparently scuba is a dance that mocks
- 22:23Speaker 3: something smelling bad, okay?
- 22:24Speaker 1: So if you walk in.
- 22:25Speaker 2: I was gonna say, that's new to me. I haven't
- 22:27Speaker 2: heard that one.
- 22:27Speaker 1: I haven't heard that one either.
- 22:28Speaker 3: If you walk in and I go scuba or do,
- 22:30Speaker 3: I don't even know the dance move, so do some
- 22:31Speaker 3: stupid dance move, you're gonna essentially know that you smell bad, okay?
- 22:34Speaker 1: Really?
- 22:35Speaker 2: So there's a whole dance to tell someone you smell?
- 22:38Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 22:38Speaker 1: Yes, that's what Google's saying.
- 22:40Speaker 3: Crying is meaning someone laughing hysterically, like I'm crying, I guess.
- 22:44Speaker 1: I'm crying. Have you heard Quiet on the Creek?
- 22:46Speaker 4: Yes.
- 22:47Speaker 3: Okay, so this is popularized by rapper Saucy Santana, which,
- 22:50Speaker 3: so sorry, who the heck are you? If it's not
- 22:52Speaker 3: like Drake or Lil Wayne, I don't know ya.
- 22:55Speaker 2: I have so much to catch you up on, it's fine,
- 22:57Speaker 2: go ahead.
- 22:58Speaker 1: You know Quiet on the Creek?
- 22:59Speaker 2: Yes, keep going, it's fine.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Okay, I don't know this. Okay, I know what LARPing is, okay?
- 23:03Speaker 3: But their definition of LARP, means that it's someone describing
- 23:06Speaker 3: or faking a lifestyle for clout.
- 23:08Speaker 1: That's not the LARPing I know.
- 23:10Speaker 3: No.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Not for clout.
- 23:11Speaker 3: And then if you're a bird, it's a label for women, specifically,
- 23:16Speaker 3: who are overly fixated on men. Bird.
- 23:18Speaker 1: What does that mean?
- 23:19Speaker 2: Bird. Oh, interesting.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Nina, I don't know this stuff.
- 23:22Speaker 2: I have no clue.
- 23:24Speaker 3: I like my words like cool and neat, and that
- 23:28Speaker 3: is swaggy. That's what I like. I'm way too, this
- 23:31Speaker 3: is the first time in my life That I've ever
- 23:33Speaker 3: felt too old for something.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Dude, for real. I'm going to learn the scuba dance, okay?
- 23:37Speaker 2: Okay, you learn it. You let me know. Let me
- 23:40Speaker 2: tell you about this good boy.
- 23:42Speaker 4: His name is Archie, and he helped find some lost
- 23:45Speaker 4: kids in Buena Vista. There was a family camping out there,
- 23:48Speaker 4: and they noticed their nine-year-old and two six-year-olds were not
- 23:51Speaker 4: around the campsite. After two hours of frantic searching, they
- 23:55Speaker 4: ended up calling the authorities. Police came to help look
- 23:58Speaker 4: in the area, and they brought in canine deputy Archie,
- 24:03Speaker 4: who almost immediately found the kid's scent, followed it, ended
- 24:07Speaker 4: up being on higher ground, but they spotted the kids
- 24:10Speaker 4: down below. They were a mile and a half away
- 24:13Speaker 4: from their camp. Luckily, all three kids uninjured, in good health,
- 24:18Speaker 4: everything was fine, and they were reunited with their family
- 24:21Speaker 4: thanks to Archie, the canine deputy.
- 24:24Speaker 3: Good boy that is an amazing story first of all
- 24:27Speaker 3: but also the fact that this little dog was able
- 24:29Speaker 3: to find them in like a little bit of time.
- 24:31Speaker 4: Right yeah I mean the parents were searching for two
- 24:33Speaker 4: hours police got there to try to help look and
- 24:36Speaker 4: the dog immediately caught their.
- 24:37Speaker 3: Scent can you imagine I truly cannot imagine the panic
- 24:41Speaker 3: that sets in in a parent when you are trying
- 24:43Speaker 3: to find your children for two hours.
- 24:44Speaker 2: No, it's so, so scary. Couldn't imagine. Yeah, good boy.
- 24:49Speaker 4: So a couple of years ago, actor Brendan Fraser opened
- 24:53Speaker 4: up about feeling kind of forgotten in Hollywood after not
- 24:56Speaker 4: working for a long time. And he was kind of
- 24:59Speaker 4: sad and depressed and He did this interview that went
- 25:02Speaker 4: really viral because people were remembering, hey, Brendan Fraser did
- 25:06Speaker 4: a lot, and we loved him so much, and we
- 25:10Speaker 4: didn't even think about the fact that, yeah, he hasn't
- 25:11Speaker 4: really been in movies recently. Well, after that, he started
- 25:15Speaker 4: picking up projects again. In the past few years, he
- 25:18Speaker 4: has really just been doing it big, and I think
- 25:21Speaker 4: he is back on top right now. He's living his
- 25:23Speaker 4: best life, and he is looking good. on the set
- 25:27Speaker 4: of Mummy 4 right now.
- 25:29Speaker 3: Okay, so I remember watching The Mummy as a very
- 25:32Speaker 3: little kid, and I don't think I was supposed to.
- 25:34Speaker 3: I think I kind of snuck it, and I remember
- 25:36Speaker 3: it scaring me way back, I'm talking like late 90s.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:39Speaker 3: And I remember that. And I was like, okay. But
- 25:41Speaker 3: then I saw him in George of the Jungle. He
- 25:42Speaker 3: was in a billion different things, too, first of all.
- 25:45Speaker 2: He was.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Crushing it. Probably one of the biggest stars of the 90s,
- 25:48Speaker 1: early 2000s, I would say. For sure. And then you're right.
- 25:50Speaker 3: He took decades off all of a sudden. And then
- 25:53Speaker 3: he came back with The Whale, which, by the way,
- 25:55Speaker 3: if you haven't seen that movie still, fantastic movie.
- 25:57Speaker 1: He won a bunch of awards for it.
- 25:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:00Speaker 3: Really, really good. And that kind of made him... do
- 26:02Speaker 3: the astronomical rise to fame again.
- 26:04Speaker 2: Yeah, we were like, hey, remember Brendan Fraser? He's awesome.
- 26:07Speaker 1: He's back. And I love that. And you're right.
- 26:09Speaker 3: I saw a picture of him looking like he did 25,
- 26:13Speaker 3: 30 years ago now.
- 26:15Speaker 2: Seriously.
- 26:15Speaker 1: With those Mummy movies. And I'm like, OK, that's awesome.
- 26:17Speaker 1: I like that he's back here.
- 26:18Speaker 2: Yes.
- 26:19Speaker 4: So he's on the set right now of The Mummy 4.
- 26:21Speaker 2: They are going to be making it.
- 26:23Speaker 4: And he is bringing back the iconic Rick O'Connell character,
- 26:27Speaker 4: And this is the first time in 20 years that
- 26:29Speaker 4: they are like launching another mummy movie. And he was
- 26:32Speaker 4: seen on the set flying a plane. So there's definitely
- 26:35Speaker 4: more adventures ahead for the mummy. That's very on par
- 26:38Speaker 4: for all of it. But honestly, and like, I'm a
- 26:42Speaker 4: little embarrassed to say this. Brendan Fraser coming back as Rick.
- 26:45Speaker 2: O'Connell, hot.
- 26:47Speaker 1: Are you feeling something again? Hot.
- 26:49Speaker 2: Seriously, he was looking good. I'm like, dang, boy.
- 26:52Speaker 3: Well, and I remember he was jacked back in the day.
- 26:56Speaker 3: And I remember also for George of the Jungle, he
- 26:58Speaker 3: was massive. Oh, he was gorgeous, George of the Jungle.
- 27:00Speaker 3: I hadn't seen him in forever, and I saw him
- 27:02Speaker 3: in The Whale. And obviously, he was in a bodysuit,
- 27:04Speaker 3: and I understand that.
- 27:05Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 27:07Speaker 3: The difference there, the oxymoronic look where I was like, whoa,
- 27:10Speaker 3: that is Brendan Fraser. But now back to what I
- 27:12Speaker 3: was used to seeing him in. I was like, bro,
- 27:14Speaker 3: he's hitting the gym.
- 27:15Speaker 4: He's been working out, you can tell. And you know what,
- 27:17Speaker 4: Brendan Fraser, you're looking good, babe.
- 27:19Speaker 1: All right, you got Nina's approval there. I love that.
- 27:21Speaker 3: All right, Nina, Denver. We can collectively have a sigh
- 27:26Speaker 3: of relief. Nikola Jokic was making an appearance yesterday for Denver.
- 27:29Speaker 3: I think they were doing their, I don't know, it's
- 27:32Speaker 3: like their media day, okay? They're doing their media day thing.
- 27:34Speaker 3: And he has been in the news over and over
- 27:37Speaker 3: and over again because throughout the summer, everyone's like, is
- 27:41Speaker 3: he going to sign that contract extension?
- 27:42Speaker 2: Right.
- 27:43Speaker 3: The NBA is the league now where essentially if a
- 27:47Speaker 3: team isn't winning right now, which, hey, by the way,
- 27:49Speaker 3: the Nuggets won a championship like three years ago. So
- 27:51Speaker 3: it's not even that long ago. Most stars want to move.
- 27:55Speaker 3: They always want to leave. Think of LeBron's like that.
- 27:57Speaker 3: They're always into a new city. Nicole Jokic reiterated yesterday, hey,
- 28:01Speaker 3: I'm signing with Denver again next summer. And the reason
- 28:04Speaker 3: that I'm doing that is because next summer the cap
- 28:07Speaker 3: goes up. He can sign a five-year Supermax extension and
- 28:11Speaker 3: it's worth $ 350 million.
- 28:13Speaker 1: Why would you not do that?
- 28:15Speaker 3: And if he signed an extension this year, it's going
- 28:18Speaker 3: to be like $ 100 million less.
- 28:21Speaker 1: And I'm like, why would you not do that? Just
- 28:22Speaker 1: wait a summer. Wait one more year. It'll be fine.
- 28:25Speaker 3: And then he added a little caveat in strictly Nikola
- 28:27Speaker 3: Jokic way, which I love.
- 28:28Speaker 1: He goes, yeah, absolutely. I'm signing next year with you
- 28:30Speaker 1: guys if they want me.
- 28:32Speaker 3: If?
- 28:33Speaker 1: Of course.
- 28:33Speaker 3: He's rated the number one NBA player like six years
- 28:36Speaker 3: in a row. He's been absolutely unbelievable. But everybody can
- 28:40Speaker 3: have a collective sigh of relief. He will be back.
- 28:44Speaker 3: He's going to sign with them next summer. All Denver
- 28:46Speaker 3: Nuggets fans listening out there right now, it's going to
- 28:49Speaker 3: be okay.
- 28:50Speaker 2: Oh, I love that.
- 28:51Speaker 1: We love him.
- 28:51Speaker 2: We love him. He's the best.
- 28:53Speaker 1: He's hilarious.
- 28:54Speaker 3: Ever since he dressed up as Gru for his daughter
- 28:56Speaker 3: walking into the Nuggets game, fantastic. He's such a cool dude.
- 29:00Speaker 3: He's got a great sense of humor. We're very excited
- 29:02Speaker 3: to have the MVP back.
- 29:04Speaker 2: I feel like he is Denver's biggest celebrity for sure.
- 29:07Speaker 4: And Hayden Panettiere, her ex, oh my gosh, I can't
- 29:11Speaker 4: say his name, Vladimir.
- 29:13Speaker 2: Kilchko, I think. Sure, close enough.
- 29:15Speaker 4: Sure, he is asking a court to name him the
- 29:18Speaker 4: guardian of his daughter, Kaya, in order to protect her
- 29:21Speaker 4: rights as the sole beneficiary of Hayden's estate. So when
- 29:25Speaker 4: Hayden passed away, she did so without a will written up.
- 29:29Speaker 4: And so her 11-year-old daughter is going to be the
- 29:32Speaker 4: sole heir to all of her property in And, but
- 29:36Speaker 4: the thing is, because a will was not made, things
- 29:38Speaker 4: are just not written out very well.
- 29:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 29:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 29:52Speaker 4: With this move to protect her rights, her property, her
- 29:57Speaker 4: right to just everything that her mom had.
- 29:59Speaker 1: Okay, I like this.
- 30:00Speaker 3: If he's telling the truth here, we have had so
- 30:02Speaker 3: many conversations in the past, like literally two weeks, of
- 30:06Speaker 3: people passing away and how it just is a crapshoot
- 30:10Speaker 3: after that.
- 30:10Speaker 1: It's so bad.
- 30:11Speaker 3: So I hope that he's telling the truth here and
- 30:14Speaker 3: he actually is looking out for his daughter because, again,
- 30:16Speaker 3: at 11 years old, you.
- 30:17Speaker 2: Can't make those decisions.
- 30:18Speaker 1: She doesn't know.
- 30:18Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 30:19Speaker 1: She's dealing with the loss of her mother. I know.
- 30:21Speaker 3: She shouldn't be dealing with that. So I hope he's
- 30:23Speaker 3: old enough and mature enough to understand that he will
- 30:26Speaker 3: protect his daughter's rights until she can make those decisions.
- 30:29Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 30:30Speaker 4: I really hope that that's exactly what's happening. It sounds
- 30:33Speaker 4: like it. It sounds promising so far, but time will tell. Josh,
- 30:36Speaker 4: we were just talking about Bruno Mars because his show
- 30:39Speaker 4: was just still so good.
- 30:40Speaker 1: Good. Yeah, it was unbelievable.
- 30:43Speaker 3: I mean, every little thing that he did had a purpose,
- 30:45Speaker 3: bringing out the car, everything like this just to match
- 30:48Speaker 3: the song to Julio.
- 30:50Speaker 2: Get the stretch.
- 30:51Speaker 1: Come on. So much fun. You got to love it.
- 30:52Speaker 2: Exactly. Exactly.
- 30:54Speaker 4: So Bruno Mars over there in Colorado Springs. That was
- 30:57Speaker 4: a great time parking. We just I don't even.
- 30:59Speaker 2: Want to think about it. So we'll talk about it.
- 31:01Speaker 1: Not a great time.
- 31:01Speaker 2: It's fine.
- 31:02Speaker 1: No, it's like that from your memory.
- 31:04Speaker 4: Next time he's just going to come up to Denver
- 31:05Speaker 4: and it's going to be fine.
- 31:07Speaker 1: Hopefully. Please, Bruno, please.
- 31:10Speaker 2: Right.
- 31:11Speaker 4: Josh, we were just talking also about some Halloween decorations
- 31:14Speaker 4: because before we know it, I mean, we're at the
- 31:16Speaker 4: end of September.
- 31:17Speaker 2: Let's see. The 1st of October is on Thursday. We're
- 31:20Speaker 2: two days away from October.
- 31:22Speaker 1: I always forget September is the 30 days past September. Okay, April, June,
- 31:25Speaker 1: and November. I always forget that that one has only
- 31:27Speaker 1: 30 days. I don't know. I think every month has
- 31:29Speaker 1: 31 days.
- 31:30Speaker 2: I know.
- 31:30Speaker 1: I just show up to work.
- 31:32Speaker 2: Exactly. I'm just here. I'll check a calendar once in
- 31:34Speaker 2: a while.
- 31:35Speaker 1: I'm doing my best.
- 31:36Speaker 2: But yes, October 1st is two days away.
- 31:39Speaker 4: And so the question about Halloween decorations is already starting
- 31:43Speaker 4: to come up of when.
- 31:45Speaker 2: Is the earliest acceptable.
- 31:48Speaker 4: Time to put up Halloween decorations because some people really
- 31:52Speaker 4: love Halloween and they will go all out on their house,
- 31:55Speaker 4: their decorations, their costumes, their planning, all of it. But
- 31:59Speaker 4: because they're putting in so much effort, the timeline for
- 32:03Speaker 4: decorations has gotten earlier and earlier for Halloween, just like it.
- 32:06Speaker 2: Has for Christmas.
- 32:08Speaker 4: Because If you're going to put in all that effort
- 32:10Speaker 4: to put up the decorations, you might as well be
- 32:12Speaker 4: able to enjoy it for a while.
- 32:13Speaker 1: Yeah, you definitely want to enjoy it. And I agree
- 32:15Speaker 1: with that.
- 32:15Speaker 3: Halloween is kind of one of those holidays that people
- 32:18Speaker 3: put out a lot in their front yard for. And
- 32:21Speaker 3: you don't want to just do that October 15th and
- 32:23Speaker 3: have that for two weeks, essentially. I wouldn't want that either.
- 32:27Speaker 3: And Christmas, again, people start doing that in November. They
- 32:31Speaker 3: start celebrating and getting ready for Christmas earlier and earlier.
- 32:34Speaker 1: So I don't know. I think maybe... For me, once
- 32:37Speaker 1: the leaves really start to.
- 32:38Speaker 3: Change, I can kind of, because that's when I, I
- 32:42Speaker 3: feel like Halloween and fall are kind of synonymous. Like
- 32:45Speaker 3: I don't need to, you know, put up a hay
- 32:48Speaker 3: bale and some pumpkins just for fall and then take
- 32:51Speaker 3: those down and put up more pumpkins for Halloween.
- 32:52Speaker 2: Right, the scary stuff.
- 32:54Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like you can kind of mix it
- 32:55Speaker 3: in with both. And so maybe right when you start
- 32:57Speaker 3: to see the leaves changing.
- 32:58Speaker 2: Okay, which is now. Oh yeah, I have no problem
- 33:01Speaker 2: with that. So you feel it's acceptable now.
- 33:03Speaker 4: Even, I guess, two weeks ago, the leaves really started
- 33:06Speaker 4: to change up in the mountains.
- 33:07Speaker 2: How do you feel about that?
- 33:08Speaker 3: Okay, okay, that's a good question. Down in Denver, okay,
- 33:11Speaker 3: this is the thing. Down in Denver, when it is
- 33:14Speaker 3: still 80s, I don't want to see your Halloween decorations.
- 33:16Speaker 4: I'm sorry.
- 33:16Speaker 3: No, I agree. But if you're in the high country, absolutely.
- 33:19Speaker 3: Throw some pumpkins up on the front porch. Carve those
- 33:21Speaker 3: bad boys.
- 33:22Speaker 4: Yeah, it is weird to see Halloween decorations when it
- 33:25Speaker 4: is 80 degrees outside.
- 33:26Speaker 2: I can agree with that.
- 33:27Speaker 4: So they did a poll on when is the best
- 33:30Speaker 4: time to put up Halloween decorations. And 42% of people
- 33:33Speaker 4: said wait till October 1st and put it up early October,
- 33:37Speaker 4: which is the majority of this vote. 18% said between
- 33:41Speaker 4: October 16th and the 30th, the later half of the month,
- 33:45Speaker 4: which like you said, there's just like not time.
- 33:47Speaker 3: There's no time to enjoy it. Unless you're strictly carving pumpkins.
- 33:52Speaker 2: Right.
- 33:53Speaker 1: Maybe do it later.
- 33:54Speaker 2: But like if you're going all out.
- 33:56Speaker 1: Why would you do that the 30th? Like that's dumb.
- 33:58Speaker 2: Yeah, well, how about this ridiculous number?
- 34:01Speaker 4: 3% of people said to put up decorations on Halloween.
- 34:06Speaker 1: Yeah, no, that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
- 34:07Speaker 2: That's so dumb.
- 34:08Speaker 1: You 3% suck.
- 34:09Speaker 4: Because once Halloween starts up, you have to take your
- 34:12Speaker 4: decorations down.
- 34:13Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 34:14Speaker 3: And that's the thing for me is like, Nina, last year,
- 34:17Speaker 3: it's so funny, the older I get, the more I
- 34:20Speaker 3: want to decorate earlier for things.
- 34:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:23Speaker 3: November 1st, my Christmas tree went up last year. Because
- 34:27Speaker 3: I freaking love Christmas, okay? And I think the older
- 34:30Speaker 3: I get now, the less I love Christmas Day, and
- 34:33Speaker 3: I love the holiday season leading up to it.
- 34:35Speaker 1: That's where I get my joy, okay? It's fun. And
- 34:37Speaker 1: I love that.
- 34:39Speaker 3: Since November 1st until, when was it, January 1st? I
- 34:43Speaker 3: enjoyed my Christmas tree being up. And I loved that.
- 34:46Speaker 3: And I think that more people should do that. It
- 34:47Speaker 3: just brings me so much joy as opposed to doing it, what,
- 34:50Speaker 3: December 1st? When are you putting up the holiday stuff?
- 34:53Speaker 2: I do at least a month.
- 34:56Speaker 4: For Christmas, I will do, for me traditionally and my
- 34:59Speaker 4: mom and stuff, we always did it the week of
- 35:02Speaker 4: Thanksgiving or after Thanksgiving.
- 35:03Speaker 1: Okay, so like December 1st. I understand that. Around late November.
- 35:07Speaker 1: But I don't know why. Last year I was just like...
- 35:09Speaker 1: I want to see my Christmas lights every single day.
- 35:11Speaker 1: That's okay.
- 35:11Speaker 2: You were just feeling some type of way, and that's fine.
- 35:14Speaker 1: I think I was. I don't know.
- 35:15Speaker 3: But for Halloween, yeah, I don't know. I think the
- 35:18Speaker 3: spookier you get, maybe the later you can do it.
- 35:21Speaker 3: But again, I know a person that puts every inflatable
- 35:23Speaker 3: thing up in their front yard, and that's my neighbor.
- 35:26Speaker 3: And for that, you want to enjoy it for a
- 35:28Speaker 3: little bit, you know?
- 35:29Speaker 2: For sure.
- 35:30Speaker 4: I just pulled out all of our Halloween stuff out
- 35:33Speaker 4: of the crawl space this past weekend. So I think
- 35:35Speaker 4: this weekend it's on. I'm going to put up all
- 35:38Speaker 4: my Halloween stuff this weekend.
- 35:40Speaker 1: Yeah, because that'll be like October 2nd, right?
- 35:42Speaker 2: Yeah, pretty much. So we're in October, so I feel
- 35:45Speaker 2: like it's acceptable.
- 35:46Speaker 1: Go ahead, girlfriend. Send me pics. Right?
- 35:48Speaker 4: When are you putting up your Halloween decorations? Text us.
- 35:53Speaker 2: 303-691-1MIX.
- 35:54Speaker 4: Bonus points for photos of really cool Halloween decorations that
- 35:57Speaker 4: you've done in the past.
- 35:58Speaker 2: Text it to us. 303-691-1MIX.
- 36:02Speaker 4: Three things you need to know before you go into
- 36:03Speaker 4: the office today, like something new coming to Instagram. Zuckerberg
- 36:08Speaker 4: is launching Instagram +. You pay $ 3. 99 a month to
- 36:13Speaker 4: be super creepy online.
- 36:15Speaker 1: I don't like that. We're already creepy online. I don't
- 36:18Speaker 1: like it.
- 36:19Speaker 2: I know, and this is really not going to help.
- 36:20Speaker 4: So what this primarily does, which it seems silly to
- 36:24Speaker 4: pay $ 4 a month for this, but whatever, is you
- 36:27Speaker 4: can view people's stories and not be identified. Because right now,
- 36:32Speaker 4: when you look at someone's story on Instagram, there's a
- 36:35Speaker 4: whole list, and it shows you Everyone who has.
- 36:38Speaker 2: Looked at that particular story on your profile.
- 36:41Speaker 4: And so if you pay for Instagram Plus, your name
- 36:44Speaker 4: will not show up on that list.
- 36:46Speaker 1: Why does that matter?
- 36:47Speaker 2: I honestly don't know.
- 36:49Speaker 3: No, like for real, like it's not like right now,
- 36:51Speaker 3: which essentially these are some changes that could be made,
- 36:53Speaker 3: but it's not like right now if you look at
- 36:55Speaker 3: it 16 times, they're going to tell you.
- 36:56Speaker 1: Like it just says one time.
- 36:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:59Speaker 1: Who cares?
- 37:00Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know. And that's why people
- 37:02Speaker 2: are calling this like really creepy.
- 37:04Speaker 1: It's really weird.
- 37:05Speaker 2: Because like you said, why do we need that? Who cares?
- 37:07Speaker 2: We don't.
- 37:08Speaker 4: And it's just for people who want to creep on
- 37:10Speaker 4: some profiles, honestly. And so there is another, I guess,
- 37:15Speaker 4: feature in this new Instagram Plus, which basically you can
- 37:20Speaker 4: go back and Just look at someone's story multiple times.
- 37:23Speaker 1: This is the weirdest thing. I don't understand.
- 37:25Speaker 3: I understand there's a couple other quote-unquote perks that could
- 37:28Speaker 3: come with it, but still, the ultimate reason for this
- 37:32Speaker 3: is to be weird and creepy.
- 37:33Speaker 4: Is to just be weird and creepy and not let
- 37:36Speaker 4: people know.
- 37:37Speaker 2: And charge people for it.
- 37:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 37:38Speaker 1: Bro, you have enough money. I think I read he
- 37:39Speaker 1: has almost $ 250 billion. Billion. With a B.
- 37:40Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 37:45Speaker 2: That's disgusting.
- 37:47Speaker 4: But yeah, I don't know why people would pay for
- 37:49Speaker 4: this unless they are just major creeps online. And that
- 37:52Speaker 4: is what's happening next for Zuckerberg and Meta and Instagram
- 37:56Speaker 4: and Facebook.
- 37:56Speaker 2: So thank you for that.
- 37:57Speaker 1: Love that. All right. This is some good news.
- 38:00Speaker 3: Finally, I am a massive fan of the Peanuts gang,
- 38:02Speaker 3: Charlie Brown and all of his friends there. I grew
- 38:05Speaker 3: up watching all of the holiday specials that they've had. Right.
- 38:08Speaker 3: They have the Halloween one, the Thanksgiving one, the Christmas one. Well,
- 38:11Speaker 3: From 1960 to about 2020, Nina, you were able to
- 38:15Speaker 3: gather around your television and watch those holiday specials on
- 38:18Speaker 3: the times that they were on TV, okay? Well, when
- 38:20Speaker 3: 2020 rolled around here, Apple was like.
- 38:22Speaker 1: You know what? We actually own the exclusive rights to this.
- 38:25Speaker 3: We are gonna gatekeep them from everybody, and they have
- 38:28Speaker 3: not been able, unless you own Apple TV or subscribe
- 38:32Speaker 3: to it, You have not been able to watch that.
- 38:33Speaker 3: They don't air on TV anymore. They have completely stopped that.
- 38:37Speaker 1: Isn't that crazy?
- 38:37Speaker 2: Whoa, that's messed up.
- 38:39Speaker 3: Okay, so they have done that since 2020 now. So
- 38:42Speaker 3: for the last six years, we have been unable to
- 38:44Speaker 3: watch it at all unless you have that subscription. Well,
- 38:46Speaker 3: they're finally un-gatekeeping. They're kind of sharing it with us.
- 38:51Speaker 3: The Peanuts holiday season is kicking off with The Great Pumpkin,
- 38:54Speaker 3: Charlie Brown, which has been available.
- 38:57Speaker 1: Since 1960 to the general public.
- 38:58Speaker 3: And now this year, they're allowing non-subscribers to watch it
- 39:03Speaker 3: October 17th and 18th. So the weekend kind of leading
- 39:06Speaker 3: up to the next weekend of Halloween, they're allowing you
- 39:08Speaker 3: to do that. And then the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, November
- 39:12Speaker 3: 14th and November 15th, you are able to get.
- 39:14Speaker 1: That free again, okay?
- 39:15Speaker 3: So they're dedicating a little weekend to you, which is
- 39:18Speaker 3: so kind of them.
- 39:18Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, so nice.
- 39:19Speaker 3: And then finally, a Charlie Brown Christmas, which is one
- 39:22Speaker 3: of their most famous Charlie Brown episodes ever, is available Saturday,
- 39:25Speaker 3: December 12th, and Sunday, December 13th. So they're doing it
- 39:28Speaker 3: like a weekend and a half-ish, before the actual event
- 39:32Speaker 3: is happening. Which I like because, again, I grew up
- 39:35Speaker 3: with the Peanuts gang. I love it. I've really hated
- 39:39Speaker 3: that you have not been able to find this at all.
- 39:40Speaker 3: I've wanted to show my little nephews this. They've never
- 39:42Speaker 3: seen it. My nephews have never been able to watch
- 39:44Speaker 3: the Peanuts gang because.
- 39:46Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I'm not subscribing to Apple TV.
- 39:48Speaker 2: Just another subscription.
- 39:49Speaker 1: For one show. Right.
- 39:51Speaker 4: No, and I think it's good that I guess they
- 39:54Speaker 4: are allowing people to watch it a week and a
- 39:57Speaker 4: half or two days before the holiday, but at the
- 40:00Speaker 4: same time, it's still kind of messed up because at
- 40:03Speaker 4: this point, it is an American tradition for a lot
- 40:06Speaker 4: of these holidays to watch Charlie Brown.
- 40:09Speaker 1: Absolutely. All of them.
- 40:12Speaker 3: To me, to my family specifically, and I'm sure I
- 40:14Speaker 3: can speak for many others, The tradition of watching the
- 40:18Speaker 3: Peanuts gang leading up has been a household staple for forever.
- 40:21Speaker 3: I mean, the holiday season, it's like synonymous with that.
- 40:24Speaker 3: So I don't like that they've been keeping it from us.
- 40:27Speaker 3: And I do like that they're kind of letting you
- 40:29Speaker 3: in on it.
- 40:29Speaker 2: A little bit. Kind of. But at the same time,
- 40:32Speaker 2: I'm sure you still need to create a profile.
- 40:34Speaker 4: And then they're going to be spamming you emails to
- 40:37Speaker 4: sign up for the next subscription.
- 40:39Speaker 2: And so that part is definitely annoying.
- 40:41Speaker 4: But at least you will be able to keep that
- 40:42Speaker 4: tradition with your nephews because that's special.
- 40:44Speaker 1: It is special. And I love it. You are so correct.
- 40:47Speaker 3: You have to either download Apple TV app or go
- 40:49Speaker 3: to a smart TV phone tablet. To access Apple TV online.
- 40:53Speaker 3: So you hit the nail on the head there. They're
- 40:55Speaker 3: still like, hey, we're going to spam the heck.
- 40:57Speaker 1: Out of you.
- 40:57Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 40:58Speaker 2: I started lying on all of those subscriptions.
- 41:01Speaker 1: Good for you.
- 41:01Speaker 2: I changed my name. I don't give them my real birthday.
- 41:04Speaker 1: They don't need to know about you at all.
- 41:05Speaker 2: They don't need to know nothing.
- 41:06Speaker 1: I love it. Good for you, Nina. All right.
- 41:09Speaker 4: The third thing you need to know, not only is
- 41:12Speaker 4: there a recession in the economy right now, there is
- 41:14Speaker 4: also a friendship recession. there are fewer close friendships between
- 41:20Speaker 4: adults making people feel more disconnected than ever despite us
- 41:25Speaker 4: being more digitally connected because we're all online.
- 41:28Speaker 2: We all have an Instagram.
- 41:30Speaker 4: And a Facebook and we follow people and we see
- 41:32Speaker 4: everything right there online, but IRL, in real life, there's
- 41:37Speaker 4: a lot of people who are very lonely and don't
- 41:40Speaker 4: have actual friends to just go grab a coffee with,
- 41:43Speaker 4: go get dinner.
- 41:44Speaker 3: It's almost like you feel the need because you're constantly
- 41:47Speaker 3: kind of seeing them, like kind of seeing them online.
- 41:50Speaker 1: Yeah. You don't need to see them in person anymore.
- 41:54Speaker 1: And that is really sad.
- 41:55Speaker 3: Like I feel like, you know, in the eighties and nineties,
- 41:58Speaker 3: you might not have seen the people that you love
- 42:01Speaker 3: all the time, but you still made the plans to
- 42:03Speaker 3: go see each other in real life because that's how
- 42:05Speaker 3: you caught up otherwise.
- 42:06Speaker 2: And phone calls.
- 42:07Speaker 4: And that's still connecting with someone, hearing their voice, having
- 42:11Speaker 4: a real time conversation versus a text message that you
- 42:14Speaker 4: ran through chat GPT first. Yeah.
- 42:17Speaker 1: And it's so annoying how that happens.
- 42:18Speaker 3: Now you totally lose like the ability to see their
- 42:21Speaker 3: vocal inflection and things like that and get to know
- 42:24Speaker 3: them again.
- 42:24Speaker 1: It's like you forget who they are as a person.
- 42:27Speaker 2: Yeah, it's kind of messed up. So reach out to
- 42:29Speaker 2: your friends.
- 42:30Speaker 4: Get together if you haven't in a while because it's
- 42:33Speaker 4: really important right now.
- 42:34Speaker 1: Call your friends. Don't even reach out. Call them. Call them.
- 42:37Speaker 2: Don't text them.
- 42:38Speaker 4: We just want to say really quick, thank you, thank you,
- 42:41Speaker 4: thank you to Shawnee, who not only just won our
- 42:45Speaker 4: game of the day, she was literally outside. picking up
- 42:48Speaker 4: a prize at the radio station, calling in to our contest.
- 42:51Speaker 4: But she was mostly here to drop off some donuts
- 42:54Speaker 4: for us, Josh.
- 42:55Speaker 3: First of all, the dedication that we just saw with
- 42:57Speaker 3: her was fantastic. But yeah, she is such a kind-hearted woman.
- 43:01Speaker 3: I've gotten the chance to meet her a few times
- 43:02Speaker 3: with a couple events that Mix 100 has put on.
- 43:05Speaker 3: And she opened up her personal life a little bit
- 43:08Speaker 3: to us, Nina. And I think this is why I
- 43:11Speaker 3: love this job. you get to meet so many people
- 43:14Speaker 3: who are amazing people and they have their own lives
- 43:16Speaker 3: that they live. And she opened it up a little
- 43:18Speaker 3: bit to us. And Nina, I'm not going to lie.
- 43:21Speaker 3: It brought tears to my eyes.
- 43:22Speaker 2: Yeah, it got a little misty.
- 43:23Speaker 1: It totally did.
- 43:24Speaker 3: And to be able to connect with everyone here like
- 43:29Speaker 3: that on that level is truly such a blessing. And
- 43:32Speaker 3: it's something that I don't take lightly at all. And
- 43:34Speaker 3: it's such a cool thing to meet everyone here. So
- 43:37Speaker 3: Shout out for the Krispy Kreme donuts, first of all,
- 43:38Speaker 3: because that was awesome. I'm going to eat like seven.
- 43:41Speaker 2: Yeah, she got us a whole dozen.
- 43:42Speaker 1: I know. I'm like, do we gatekeep these?
- 43:45Speaker 2: I hope the other people are listening right now. Well,
- 43:47Speaker 2: she told us to share, so I guess Big Rob
- 43:49Speaker 2: can have one later. I guess.
- 43:51Speaker 4: And we'll get Angela Cortez some.
- 43:52Speaker 3: What is that from Friends? Joey doesn't share food. I
- 43:55Speaker 3: don't like that.
- 43:56Speaker 1: These are ours, Nina.
- 43:58Speaker 2: Right, right.
- 43:59Speaker 4: Well, speaking of food, Halloween foods are coming out more
- 44:04Speaker 4: and more. I mean, people are just trying to figure
- 44:06Speaker 4: out how they can differentiate their foods versus other ones,
- 44:11Speaker 4: and now we are going to get spooky vampire cup noodles.
- 44:15Speaker 3: Do you know what this does? So first of all,
- 44:18Speaker 3: we talked about this a little bit earlier. Christmas has
- 44:21Speaker 3: all their Christmas decorations. All the food is shaped like
- 44:23Speaker 3: a Christmas tree or a.
- 44:24Speaker 1: Snowman or whatever. Really cute.
- 44:26Speaker 3: This is the opposite of anything cute. This is borderline disgusting.
- 44:31Speaker 3: So yeah, like you said, cup of noodles, they've released
- 44:33Speaker 3: this new like limited product, it's called vampire noodles, and
- 44:37Speaker 3: it's a hot garlic flavor, that's fine.
- 44:39Speaker 1: Like okay, hot garlic.
- 44:39Speaker 2: Well they're doing garlic to kind of play on the vampire, right?
- 44:42Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely.
- 44:42Speaker 3: It's a total play on words there. But they also
- 44:45Speaker 3: transform this into a blood red color when the water
- 44:50Speaker 3: is added. So once that water heats up and gets hot,
- 44:53Speaker 3: what you're eating looks exactly like you're just drinking the blood.
- 44:57Speaker 1: The blood. Right? So that's disgusting.
- 45:00Speaker 4: Well, though, my question is, though, is that just a
- 45:02Speaker 4: bunch of Red Dye 40 in your cup of noodles?
- 45:05Speaker 3: No, Nina, it's not. Thank you for asking, by the way.
- 45:07Speaker 3: This is all thanks to a natural beet color.
- 45:10Speaker 2: Oh, beets will do that.
- 45:12Speaker 1: We're all in our health journey right now.
- 45:14Speaker 2: No, for real.
- 45:15Speaker 3: And instead of, you know, drinking a bunch of Red
- 45:17Speaker 3: Dye 40, which is absolutely horrendous for you.
- 45:20Speaker 2: It's not good for you at all.
- 45:21Speaker 1: Not at all.
- 45:22Speaker 3: No, they're doing it all naturally, thank God. And this
- 45:24Speaker 3: is all actually available at Walmart, okay? So if you
- 45:27Speaker 3: want to look like you're drinking blood... And also enjoying
- 45:31Speaker 3: an amazing cup of noodles. Just go to Walmart, okay?
- 45:33Speaker 3: And it's there while supplies last. And then, Nina, one
- 45:36Speaker 3: even better for you.
- 45:36Speaker 1: You ready for this?
- 45:37Speaker 2: Is there another one?
- 45:38Speaker 1: Oh, there's another one. Hidden Valley Ranch. What color is
- 45:40Speaker 1: that normally?
- 45:41Speaker 2: It's like white.
- 45:42Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like a white cream colored, right?
- 45:44Speaker 3: Okay, so they are also getting into the Halloween spirit
- 45:46Speaker 3: right now by launching, you guessed it, Spooky Ranch.
- 45:49Speaker 1: Very aptly named. We love it. This one has a
- 45:53Speaker 1: dark black color. color. What?
- 45:56Speaker 3: And it's in a glow-in-the-dark bottle. So that part is
- 45:58Speaker 3: really cool. I like the glow-in-the-dark bottle. However, this is
- 46:00Speaker 3: like a haunting black, they call it.
- 46:03Speaker 1: Ew.
- 46:03Speaker 3: And just knowing me, like, I love ranch on pizza, okay? So,
- 46:08Speaker 3: I mean, I know I'm not even healthy and put
- 46:10Speaker 3: it on my salad. I love the ranch on my pizza.
- 46:12Speaker 3: But dipping my pizza into something that's like a jet black.
- 46:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 46:17Speaker 2: It's just like this black goo.
- 46:19Speaker 1: Revolting to me. A little bit.
- 46:21Speaker 2: But For the Halloween spirit, it's actually perfect.
- 46:25Speaker 4: Like, that would be pretty cool to have at your
- 46:28Speaker 4: Halloween party with all the appetizers and stuff.
- 46:31Speaker 1: I agree. You can do, like, the carrots and celery
- 46:33Speaker 1: and dip it into black ranch.
- 46:34Speaker 2: That's pretty cool.
- 46:35Speaker 1: And again, they're going safe with this.
- 46:37Speaker 3: Instead of the black, I know, like, for the black dye,
- 46:39Speaker 3: you have to do, like, a bunch of purples and
- 46:41Speaker 3: blues and reds and put them all together.
- 46:42Speaker 4: Right.
- 46:43Speaker 1: No, they're just doing it from fruit juice and get this, cocoa.
- 46:46Speaker 1: Fruit juice.
- 46:47Speaker 3: What?
- 46:47Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 46:48Speaker 3: So like, I don't know if this is going to
- 46:49Speaker 3: have like a chocolatey taste or anything like that. But
- 46:52Speaker 3: Hidden Valley also says absolutely no artificial flavors involved. And again,
- 46:56Speaker 3: this one's also exclusively at Walmart. If you want to
- 46:58Speaker 3: go get these together, please do. And then bring them
- 47:00Speaker 3: to us because we want to try them.
- 47:01Speaker 1: Right.
- 47:02Speaker 2: I kind of want to try them. Maybe I'll stop by.
- 47:03Speaker 3: I just don't understand like how you how it doesn't
- 47:06Speaker 3: taste chocolatey.
- 47:07Speaker 1: Right.
- 47:08Speaker 4: It literally says it comes from fruit juice and cocoa
- 47:11Speaker 4: that has to alter the flavor of the ranch.
- 47:13Speaker 2: And it's Hidden Valley specifically, Hidden Valley Ranch.
- 47:15Speaker 1: Which is like the ultimate ranch. We all know that one, right?
- 47:19Speaker 2: Weird. Are they available right.
- 47:21Speaker 1: Now at Walmart? Yeah, absolutely.
- 47:22Speaker 3: You can get it right now while supplies last. So
- 47:24Speaker 3: they might honestly even be sold out.
- 47:25Speaker 2: I'm not sure.
- 47:27Speaker 1: But they started a couple days ago.
- 47:28Speaker 4: I want to try it, and so I might take
- 47:31Speaker 4: a trip to Walmart and try out these spooky foods.
- 47:33Speaker 1: That would be fun. Should I go? I'll go right after.
- 47:35Speaker 2: Let's go after the show.
- 47:37Speaker 1: Field trip.
- 47:38Speaker 2: We are about wrapping up the show here. Quite an
- 47:41Speaker 2: eventful morning today.
- 47:42Speaker 1: Yeah, it was. We got a lot done, though.
- 47:45Speaker 3: We did.
- 47:45Speaker 1: And it feels like a very successful morning.
- 47:47Speaker 2: Okay, well, good.
- 47:48Speaker 1: For me, at least. Maybe not for you.
- 47:49Speaker 4: Speaking of the successes, how about we talk about the
- 47:52Speaker 4: things that we got wrong today?
- 47:53Speaker 1: Oh, do we have to?
- 47:54Speaker 2: Yes, that's what we do after every show.
- 47:56Speaker 1: Okay, you're right. You're right. I like this.
- 47:57Speaker 3: All right, so I'm just going to go and get
- 47:59Speaker 3: this and clear this out. So, again, we talked earlier
- 48:02Speaker 3: about how we met wonderful Shawnee. She's a listener that
- 48:06Speaker 3: came and brought us donuts.
- 48:07Speaker 1: She's so kind. Thank you so much. Whoever wants to
- 48:09Speaker 1: try to one-up her, bring us, like, a lunch, okay?
- 48:12Speaker 3: Do that for us next. The funny thing about her
- 48:15Speaker 3: is that we have met her before, Nina, right?
- 48:17Speaker 1: Yes, we have. And I.
- 48:19Speaker 3: don't know how this happened, but she showed us some pictures,
- 48:22Speaker 3: and we're reminiscing on the good times, right? She showed
- 48:24Speaker 3: us pictures, and very unfortunately, I noticed right away, I'm
- 48:30Speaker 3: wearing the exact same outfit in the picture that she
- 48:34Speaker 3: took months ago, whenever that was, till now, today. I'm
- 48:38Speaker 3: in same hat, same shirt, same pants, same shoes.
- 48:43Speaker 1: Same necklace.
- 48:44Speaker 2: Same jewelry, yes!
- 48:46Speaker 3: I am so embarrassed. And then, thank God, you pointed
- 48:51Speaker 3: something out.
- 48:52Speaker 4: I'm also wearing the exact same outfit.
- 48:56Speaker 1: What is wrong with us?
- 48:57Speaker 2: No, that's crazy. The coincidence of that is actually insane.
- 49:00Speaker 2: I'm wearing the same outfit.
- 49:01Speaker 4: I have a different jacket on, but I'm wearing the
- 49:04Speaker 4: same shirt and the same jeans.
- 49:05Speaker 1: Okay, so you've learned to accessorize. I haven't.
- 49:08Speaker 3: My accessories are the same. I'm throwing everything out. I'm
- 49:11Speaker 3: going home and throwing everything away and going on a
- 49:13Speaker 3: shopping spree with you. Like you have to do that.
- 49:14Speaker 2: That coincidence is, is, is just mind blowing.
- 49:17Speaker 1: That was months ago.
- 49:18Speaker 2: Yeah, it was months ago.
- 49:19Speaker 4: And Shawnee just left cause she stopped by to give
- 49:21Speaker 4: us the donuts, but then she sent us pictures on
- 49:23Speaker 4: the text line of, of good times, great to see
- 49:26Speaker 4: you again, and these photos, like you said, months old,
- 49:29Speaker 4: and we both are coincidentally wearing the same outfit as
- 49:33Speaker 4: we did the last time we saw her.
- 49:34Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 49:34Speaker 1: I am thoroughly humbled.
- 49:36Speaker 2: That's crazy.
- 49:37Speaker 1: And I need to change my whole wardrobe. What did
- 49:39Speaker 1: you get wrong today, Nina?
- 49:40Speaker 4: Well, I thought that Mark Zuckerberg could not ruin Facebook
- 49:44Speaker 4: and Instagram more than he already has, but I was
- 49:46Speaker 4: very wrong.
- 49:47Speaker 1: Yeah, this is a weird story and I hate it.
- 49:49Speaker 4: We talked earlier about Instagram Plus. It's a new subscription
- 49:53Speaker 4: you can pay $ 4 a month for to be a
- 49:55Speaker 4: total creeper. It doesn't do much except for... lets you
- 49:59Speaker 4: view people's story and then your name just doesn't come
- 50:02Speaker 4: up as someone that they've seen before. It's literally a
- 50:05Speaker 4: creeper's paradise for Instagram. Just gotta pay $ 4 a month
- 50:08Speaker 4: and you stay anonymous looking at people's story.
- 50:10Speaker 3: Yeah, but then also as the creeper, if you're paying
- 50:13Speaker 3: the $ 4 a month or whatever, you can also see
- 50:16Speaker 3: who's viewing your story more than once. And that's like,
- 50:19Speaker 3: I don't like that.
- 50:20Speaker 1: No.
- 50:21Speaker 3: Again, I'm telling you, I like to view stories more
- 50:23Speaker 3: than once if it's something that I'm interested in.
- 50:25Speaker 1: A lot of my friends do really fun things. They
- 50:26Speaker 1: go to concerts, and I'm like, I want to look
- 50:28Speaker 1: at that.
- 50:28Speaker 2: Or I'm tapping through, and I miss something, and I
- 50:30Speaker 2: go back.
- 50:31Speaker 3: 100%.
- 50:31Speaker 1: Yeah. Absolutely.
- 50:32Speaker 3: And now they can know, oh, hey, you know what?
- 50:34Speaker 3: Nina went back and checked your story. Josh went back
- 50:37Speaker 3: and saw your story 800 times. What's going on there?
- 50:39Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 50:40Speaker 2: It's just weird. It's really dumb, and he just wants
- 50:42Speaker 2: more money, and that's unfortunate.
- 50:44Speaker 4: And speaking of wanting more money, he also altered Facebook recently,
- 50:48Speaker 4: which we've run into for Mix 100, is that you
- 50:51Speaker 4: can only post two links per month. And after that,
- 50:55Speaker 4: you have to pay to add more URL links.
- 50:59Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 50:59Speaker 2: Like any website.
- 51:00Speaker 1: Which is ridiculous. And you're paying by the link. Yeah.
- 51:03Speaker 1: Like you want 10 links, that's 10 more.
- 51:05Speaker 2: Charges to your card.
- 51:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 51:07Speaker 2: It's ridiculous.
- 51:08Speaker 4: So Mark Zuckerberg is the most greedy person. I don't
- 51:12Speaker 4: think there could be a greedier person. Well, he does
- 51:14Speaker 4: have some competition.
- 51:15Speaker 1: He's going to get that second yacht, though. Oh, my gosh.
- 51:16Speaker 1: He's going to get it.
- 51:18Speaker 2: Anyways.
- 51:19Speaker 1: I hate it here. For real.
- 51:20Speaker 2: Thank you so much for listening today. Angela Cortez is
- 51:23Speaker 2: in next. We're going to share some.
- 51:24Speaker 4: Krispy Kreme donuts with her if she wants one. And
- 51:27Speaker 4: she has that keyword for you to win Ella Langley tickets.
- 51:31Speaker 4: That happens at noon. So make sure you're listening all
- 51:34Speaker 4: day with Mix 100.
- 51:35Speaker 2: We'll talk to you tomorrow.
- 51:36Speaker 3: Bye.
- 51:36Speaker 2: Bye.
