The System Is Keeping You Small, And You Never Noticed || Masterminds Podcast EP76 · Masterminds Podcast

• 0:00
SPEAKER_00: Today, let's talk about how the system is keeping you small without you ever noticing.
• 0:06
SPEAKER_00: A beautiful trap called the identity was.
• 0:10
SPEAKER_00: So it starts by you being taught a particular identity that you hold dear, and then you are taught how to hate and dislike everybody else who has a different identity from yours.
• 0:24
SPEAKER_00: So the genius of the system is not only keeping you small through oppression, but by also making sure that your mind is distracted by rivalry, division, arguments, debates, hating people who have nothing to do with you.
• 0:41
SPEAKER_00: The system is created in a way that keeps you fixated on other people and what they are doing and tells you that what you are doing is superior to them.
• 0:51
SPEAKER_00: While the big minds stay on top, stay busy with running things and benefiting in their lives, they make sure that your mind stays small by hating and arguing and discussing identities which are not even yours.
• 1:06
SPEAKER_00: Let's take it from there.
• 1:08
SPEAKER_00: Everything you know about yourself was given to you, was taught to you from the time that you were a child, and you've held on so dear that anytime somebody else has a different opinion, a different look, a different thought, you feel like they're attacking your identity, which makes you attack their identity.
• 1:29
  SPEAKER_00: Now I know what you're thinking.
• 1:31
SPEAKER_00: Everybody will think that, but hate and division is natural, it's part of human nature, it's just the way the system works.
• 1:38
SPEAKER_00: But actually, that's not true.
• 1:39
SPEAKER_00: Division on a large scale can never happen unintentionally.
• 1:44
SPEAKER_00: It is always a systemized way of thinking.
• 1:47
SPEAKER_00: And there are three ways that is done.
• 1:49
SPEAKER_00: The first one in our modern world is social media.
• 1:53
SPEAKER_00: See, the algorithm is looking for your attention, and one thing everybody knows is that it is easier to get people triggered by hate than to get them triggered by love.
• 2:04
SPEAKER_00: So the algorithm in chasing for your attention is consistently feeding you things to make you angry, make you upset, make you sad, things that will get you triggered to keep commenting, to keep liking or disliking and hating and always coming to check.
• 2:21
SPEAKER_00: So instead of just feeding you information about the things that they know you love, the algorithm will feed you information about the things that they know you hate.
• 2:30
SPEAKER_00: They will give you more to hate about that person that you've been told to dislike.
• 2:34
SPEAKER_00: They will give you a reason to be angry and upset just to keep your emotions heightened so that you can stay in their system and help them to make more money.
• 2:45
SPEAKER_00: The algorithm loves it when you are triggered, so it will keep triggering you every single time if you don't learn how to break yourself out of that system.
• 2:54
SPEAKER_00: Now, the second system which keeps you always divided is media and politics.
• 3:00
SPEAKER_00: One thing you have to remember is that divide and conquer is the best way to rule.
• 3:07
SPEAKER_00: You know, to keep people distracted means that they don't focus on the things that they need to be thinking about.
• 3:13
SPEAKER_00: When you want to control people, you have to divide them, you have to make sure they can't come together to have cohesive thoughts to address real problems.
• 3:23
SPEAKER_00: So media and politics always make it a point to separate the people.
• 3:28
SPEAKER_00: You know, anybody who's had to lead a group of people, maybe you are a teacher in a classroom or you've been put in charge of a community, knows that if you allow the community to stand together and bond together, they can make good decisions for themselves.
• 3:43
SPEAKER_00: And if you, the leader, are doing something they dislike, they will actually be able to point it out and overthrow you because of their numbers.
• 3:51
SPEAKER_00: So the best way to keep them in check is keep them divided, keep them fighting amongst themselves, which is why the media will keep feeding you information, will keep telling you how horrible this person is, will tell you how bad this faction is, will tell you how only you are right and everybody else is completely wrong.
• 4:09
SPEAKER_00: They will keep triggering you to make you divided.
• 4:12
SPEAKER_00: Now the third one is commercializing your identity.
• 4:16
SPEAKER_00: You know, one thing that the people who are running the world have come to understand fully is that the true way to increase commercial value is not just to make somebody love a product, but is to give them a common enemy.
• 4:31
SPEAKER_00: It is actually easier to get people to feel loyalty for one thing by making them hate another.
• 4:40
SPEAKER_00: So instead of just making them be for a cause, make them against another cause.
• 4:46
SPEAKER_00: So they will keep giving you a common enemy.
• 4:49
SPEAKER_00: You know, this is a simple trick in marketing.
• 4:51
SPEAKER_00: Anyone who's learned marketing understands this.
• 4:54
SPEAKER_00: They understand that when you want to talk to people and get their attention, give them a common enemy.
• 5:00
SPEAKER_00: Give them somebody to fight against.
• 5:03
SPEAKER_00: It's actually in marketing lessons where they tell you that start your hook with somebody that they can fight.
• 5:10
SPEAKER_00: This makes it easier to sell them jerseys, sell them rosaries, sell them books, sell them things that makes them feel that they are fighting against a cause.
• 5:22
SPEAKER_00: So the more gullible that you are, the more you open yourself up to division, the more commercially viable you become.
• 5:30
SPEAKER_00: Now let's go into it.
• 5:31
SPEAKER_00: Let's talk about some of the things that you are taught to fight about all the time that you didn't even know it was systematic.
• 5:38
SPEAKER_00: The first one I'd like to address the gender wars.
• 5:42
SPEAKER_00: Everywhere on the internet, you see fights, you see these podcasts with two guys and two girls fighting against each other, and the girls are saying, Oh, men are trash, and the men are saying, Oh, women are evil.
• 5:56
SPEAKER_00: It's a consistent thing that you hear.
• 5:58
SPEAKER_00: You see, I remember when the feminist movement was for women, and then somewhere along the line, it became anti-men.
• 6:06
SPEAKER_00: You have men coming out there to consistently say, and a woman did this to me, and women are this, and women are that.
• 6:13
SPEAKER_00: You hear certain things like, would you choose um if you were stuck in a forest, would you prefer to meet a man or a bear?
• 6:21
SPEAKER_00: And then you are seeing all the rage baits with women saying they would prefer to be with a bear in the forest.
• 6:27
SPEAKER_00: And consistently, you have men versus women.
• 6:32
SPEAKER_00: And what this is doing to society that we are not realizing is that this is breaking apart the most important part of society, which is community.
• 6:42
SPEAKER_00: Marriages are being affected, relationships are being affected, families are being affected, community is being affected.
• 6:50
SPEAKER_00: Because when you have the most integral part of our humanity challenging each other, then we can't work together.
• 6:57
SPEAKER_00: The truth of the matter is men and women are different.
• 7:01
SPEAKER_00: Men and women are different and complementary, but we are being taught that men and women are different and it's a bad thing.
• 7:10
SPEAKER_00: They make it look like it's a bad thing that men can't understand women.
• 7:14
SPEAKER_00: They make it feel it's a bad thing that women can't think like men or can't do exactly what men do.
• 7:20
SPEAKER_00: They tell you that a woman must be equal to a man, a man must be equal to a woman.
• 7:24
SPEAKER_00: When in actual fact, a man and a woman can never be equal because they are different.
• 7:31
SPEAKER_00: But together, a man and a woman creates a certain harmony that moves the society forward.
• 7:39
SPEAKER_00: But that is being taken away.
• 7:41
SPEAKER_00: Everybody is just constantly throwing it in your face, all the things that men have done wrong, all the things that women have done wrong, how it's a patriarchy, and you know, women need to fight against this, and then the men come and say, Oh, women are privileged, women are getting too many privileges, and that needs to be stripped away.
• 7:59
SPEAKER_00: And it's a constant fight between them.
• 8:02
SPEAKER_00: But any intelligent person who's actually studied the world knows that the greatest things that have been achieved in the world were achieved when men and women worked together.
• 8:15
SPEAKER_00: From the home to building nations to great achievements everywhere in the world were achieved when men and women work together.
• 8:24
SPEAKER_00: But the more they divide the genders, the more men and women are fighting against each other, the more they're able to keep the people down there small.
• 8:37
SPEAKER_00: The more you are wasting your time coming on social media, looking at a man post something and every woman is coming to bash him, or looking at a feminist say something and every man is coming to talk about how she's just a man hater, the more your mind is staying small and you are preventing yourself from actually achieving anything in life.
• 8:57
SPEAKER_00: The second identity war, which is going on all the time, this may be the oldest identity war ever, which is the religion war.
• 9:06
SPEAKER_00: Now let's look at the premise of religion.
• 9:08
SPEAKER_00: Every religion teaches the same principles, which is love, peace, unity, a supreme being, and true spirituality.
• 9:20
SPEAKER_00: However, the greatest wars in the world were all either started or sanctioned by religion.
• 9:28
SPEAKER_00: All the big fights, all the big arguments that you see happening all over the world have religion underneath it.
• 9:36
SPEAKER_00: Because the same people that are telling you to be peaceful, the same people that are telling you to love one another are telling you that you can only love one another in this particular way.
• 9:49
SPEAKER_00: Anyone who loves the other person in another way is wrong.
• 9:54
  SPEAKER_00: Really think about it.
• 9:56
SPEAKER_00: Why is one religion better than another?
• 10:00
SPEAKER_00: There are over 10,000 gods.
• 10:03
SPEAKER_00: There are so many religions.
• 10:05
SPEAKER_00: Everybody thinks their religion is the one true religion and everybody else is wrong.
• 10:12
SPEAKER_00: There is nothing wrong with what you believe.
• 10:15
SPEAKER_00: There is nothing wrong with having your faith.
• 10:17
SPEAKER_00: There's nothing wrong with loving God and loving everybody in the world.
• 10:22
SPEAKER_00: But why must everyone love God your way?
• 10:26
SPEAKER_00: Why is it so annoying that somebody else wants to worship God in a different way?
• 10:32
SPEAKER_00: That you will pull out a knife and feel like you need to attack somebody, that you will come online and write hateful comments when somebody is talking about their religion.
• 10:44
SPEAKER_00: The two that I don't understand at all are Christianity and Islam.
• 10:50
SPEAKER_00: Especially the fact that these two are both Abrahamic religions.
• 10:55
SPEAKER_00: You are actually coming from the same mythology.
• 10:57
SPEAKER_00: You are actually coming from the same Judaism which now created Christianity and Islam.
• 11:06
SPEAKER_00: Yet these two religions have been fighting for over a thousand years.
• 11:11
SPEAKER_00: Why must your way be right and somebody's way be wrong?
• 11:18
SPEAKER_00: Can it not be subjective?
• 11:21
SPEAKER_00: Is it possible that you can accept that this person is different from me, but it doesn't mean anything?
• 11:29
SPEAKER_00: Or is it that somebody is feeding you information?
• 11:32
SPEAKER_00: And it's systematic, like I was saying, because every time you are going to whether it's church, every time you are going to the mosque, wherever you worship, you are always told that only your way is right.
• 11:45
SPEAKER_00: Anyone else is a demon, anybody else is a bad person.
• 11:50
SPEAKER_00: You have one person in a religion believing that the other person is definitely going to hell, the other person is an evil person because they don't believe in my God.
• 12:02
SPEAKER_00: When in actual fact, this should rather bring you together.
• 12:06
SPEAKER_00: Because whether you are a Christian, whether you are a Muslim, whether you are a Buddhist, whether you are, you know, a Scientologist, whatever it is, you actually have something in common, which is you are spiritual and you are religious.
• 12:20
SPEAKER_00: So shouldn't that be bringing us together instead of tearing us apart?
• 12:26
SPEAKER_00: If you really serve a loving God, does the loving God want you to hurt other people because they don't agree with your point of view?
• 12:36
SPEAKER_00: The next identity war, which I see all the time, and I don't know whether to laugh or get upset, is the sports war.
• 12:46
SPEAKER_00: Every day you see people fighting for their team, for their player.
• 12:51
  SPEAKER_00: I'm a Manchester United fan.
• 12:52
SPEAKER_00: Oh, Chelsea, oh, come on for there.
• 12:54
SPEAKER_00: Oh no, Barcelona is better than Real Madrid.
• 12:57
SPEAKER_00: Then you see people three hours and they are arguing, arguing because they inherited an identity from their father, from their community, because somebody told them this team is the best in the world.
• 13:09
SPEAKER_00: So that means every other team is useless.
• 13:12
SPEAKER_00: The one that makes me so sad and upset is two of my favorite people in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
• 13:22
SPEAKER_00: Look, anybody who knows football understands that these two players are arguably the best players that we have ever seen in existence.
• 13:34
SPEAKER_00: Honestly, what those two players have done and continue to do is miraculous.
• 13:40
SPEAKER_00: Like nobody even thought it was possible.
• 13:43
SPEAKER_00: And the fact that we have these two players existing at the same time is anything but magical.
• 13:50
SPEAKER_00: Yet you go online and you feel like if you are a Cristiano Ronaldo fan, you cannot be a messy fan.
• 13:58
SPEAKER_00: If you are a messy fan, you have to hate Cristiano Ronaldo.
• 14:02
SPEAKER_00: I can watch people hating the other player.
• 14:05
SPEAKER_00: You can watch one person insulting these legends.
• 14:09
SPEAKER_00: And I sit there and I feel like, how?
• 14:12
SPEAKER_00: How can you be a football fan and have anything but love for both of these players?
• 14:19
SPEAKER_00: The fact that I prefer Ronaldo or I prefer Messi does not mean I must hate on the other one.
• 14:26
SPEAKER_00: Does not mean I must come under the person's comments and be spewing insults at them and be tarnishing their legacy and be, you know, destroying what they've built just because I side with one.
• 14:42
SPEAKER_00: Why can't we see the similarity?
• 14:45
SPEAKER_00: That whether you like Ronaldo or you like Messi, you are a football fan.
• 14:51
  SPEAKER_00: Isn't that unity?
• 14:53
SPEAKER_00: But instead, five hours of hating.
• 14:57
SPEAKER_00: As we're watching the World Cup, instead of people paying attention to the beautiful football being played, instead of people paying attention to the great things that all these players are doing, you see them waiting and wishing for the downfall of one of the legends so that the other legend can look better.
• 15:15
SPEAKER_00: Is that where it's come to?
• 15:16
SPEAKER_00: Another war that I see all the time is even the preference of taste and food.
• 15:21
SPEAKER_00: Let me give you an example: vegan versus meat lovers.
• 15:26
SPEAKER_00: I, for instance, am a meat lover.
• 15:28
  SPEAKER_00: I love meat.
• 15:29
SPEAKER_00: You know, I can from chicken to pork to beef to anything, right?
• 15:35
  SPEAKER_00: And that's my preference.
• 15:36
SPEAKER_00: Somebody else has decided that vegan is their life choice and it's good for them.
• 15:42
  SPEAKER_00: It's working for them.
• 15:43
SPEAKER_00: Why can't we both coexist?
• 15:46
SPEAKER_00: Why must it be that when a vegan comes to post something on social media, a meat lover needs to come under and insult them that, oh, please, there's no taste in that.
• 15:57
SPEAKER_00: You have no taste, and that's horrible, blah, blah, blah.
• 15:59
SPEAKER_00: And when a meat lover comes to post something, you have a vegan coming under and coming to call them an animal killer and call them horrible things.
• 16:08
  SPEAKER_00: Why?
• 16:09
SPEAKER_00: Isn't it possible for us both to coexist in the world at the same time without attacking each other?
• 16:17
  SPEAKER_00: We both love food.
• 16:18
SPEAKER_00: You are vegan because you love your vegan food.
• 16:21
SPEAKER_00: I'm a meat lover because I love my meat.
• 16:24
SPEAKER_00: So why isn't it possible for us to look at that and see both of us as food enthusiasts and appreciate our differences and maybe even be curious about what makes this person think this way and what makes me think this way, but instead we decide to hate, to attack, like give insults.
• 16:46
  SPEAKER_00: To what end?
• 16:47
SPEAKER_00: Now let's go to a divide that cuts deep in the heart because this one is very close to home.
• 16:54
  SPEAKER_00: The African divide.
• 16:58
SPEAKER_00: You know, we talk about slavery, we talk about colonialism, we talk about all these things.
• 17:05
SPEAKER_00: But one of the biggest things that have brought down Africa and continues to bring down Africa is the African divide.
• 17:14
SPEAKER_00: You know, Kwame Nkrumah dreamt of a United States of Africa.
• 17:19
  SPEAKER_00: Unfortunately, it didn't happen.
• 17:21
SPEAKER_00: And it looks like every single day it's getting worse and worse and worse.
• 17:27
SPEAKER_00: Let's start with the way Africa is divided up.
• 17:31
SPEAKER_00: You know, the Berlin Conference of what is the exact date?
• 17:33
SPEAKER_00: November 1884, where 14 European countries sat down and divided Africa into their powers.
• 17:44
SPEAKER_00: They divided Africa into the way they see fit, without the presence of any African leaders, without the presence of any Africans whatsoever, they decided our lines and our borders.
• 17:58
SPEAKER_00: What do you think about that?
• 18:00
SPEAKER_00: So this means that they forced tribes which were rival tribes into countries together, which means they split up like communities which were previously at one strong community.
• 18:14
SPEAKER_00: They split them up and said, you go to this country, you go to that country.
• 18:18
SPEAKER_00: Then they divided us up by their languages, decided what language every person should speak.
• 18:25
SPEAKER_00: Which means now once you are a learned African, you've already been divided by a different from a different part of Africa.
• 18:32
SPEAKER_00: You are either an English African, a French African, or a Portuguese African.
• 18:37
SPEAKER_00: You know, I didn't understand the effect of this until I went to Sao Tomi.
• 18:42
SPEAKER_00: Because living in Ghana my whole life, I watched the Premier League.
• 18:46
  SPEAKER_00: I speak good English.
• 18:48
SPEAKER_00: Every hotel I go to, I know the cities that are there.
• 18:51
SPEAKER_00: They show the time, they show Accra, London, New York, maybe Paris.
• 18:56
  SPEAKER_00: Do you get me?
• 18:57
  SPEAKER_00: Like that's how I've grown up.
• 18:59
SPEAKER_00: And I know that to be standard.
• 19:01
SPEAKER_00: Then I went to Sao Tome and everybody was speaking Portuguese.
• 19:07
SPEAKER_00: I'm like, okay, fine, I get it, because you know they were colonized by the Portuguese.
• 19:11
  SPEAKER_00: Then I noticed something.
• 19:12
SPEAKER_00: The flights from um Sao Tome only go direct to Portugal.
• 19:19
SPEAKER_00: When you go into a Sao Tome hotel, the cities there are Sao Tome, Lisbon.
• 19:26
SPEAKER_00: I'm like, okay, wait, who really cares about Lisbon?
• 19:29
SPEAKER_00: Because in Ghana we don't.
• 19:31
SPEAKER_00: They watch the Portuguese League.
• 19:33
SPEAKER_00: You know, while we are in Ghana talking about Manchester United and Chelsea and Man City, they are in Sao Tomé talking about Porto and Benfica and you know, sporting, sporting Lisbon.
• 19:45
SPEAKER_00: So I realize this that's a very big divide.
• 19:50
SPEAKER_00: You know, if I try speaking football to somebody from Sao Tome, we can never have the same conversation because we are watching completely different leagues.
• 20:00
SPEAKER_00: They don't care about the English Premier League.
• 20:03
SPEAKER_00: The way in Ghana, it feels like the English Premier League is the hub of football.
• 20:09
SPEAKER_00: To them, it's the Portuguese League.
• 20:13
SPEAKER_00: So these divides already make it very difficult for us to connect.
• 20:20
SPEAKER_00: Now we go from the fact that they divided us in Africa to the way it has been made almost impossible for us to trade together.
• 20:32
SPEAKER_00: You know, one of the reasons why African companies don't become global companies is that expansion in your near area does not even occur to you.
• 20:44
SPEAKER_00: Whereas when somebody is starting a product in Europe, their thought is that, okay, first I conquer my country, then I conquer the neighboring countries in Europe, then I go to US, then Asia, then I'm global.
• 20:59
SPEAKER_00: But in Africa, it's so difficult to trade within Africa.
• 21:04
SPEAKER_00: Like if you take a country like Ghana, which is surrounded by French-speaking countries, the thought of even trading in Togo and Ivory Coast and Benin, it makes it difficult to comprehend.
• 21:17
SPEAKER_00: So when you are starting a business in Africa, most people are thinking about trading with our colonial masters.
• 21:25
SPEAKER_00: Like somebody is starting a business in Ghana and they are thinking, how do I get to UK?
• 21:30
SPEAKER_00: How do I get to the US?
• 21:32
SPEAKER_00: Nobody is thinking, how do I get to Togo and Benin and Ivory Coast and Nigeria and get all over here.
• 21:40
SPEAKER_00: We don't think like that.
• 21:41
SPEAKER_00: We've been taught to think like we are not together.
• 21:46
SPEAKER_00: And it is very evident with what is happening in South Africa right now.
• 21:50
SPEAKER_00: Look at xenophobia, where South Africans have grown to feel that other black Africans are their enemy.
• 21:58
SPEAKER_00: They've been made to Feel that other black Africans being in their country is a threat to them.
• 22:05
SPEAKER_00: Don't think this happened by accident.
• 22:07
SPEAKER_00: You we shouldn't also blame the South Africans and think that they just woke up and started thinking like this.
• 22:12
SPEAKER_00: No, they were given a common enemy.
• 22:15
SPEAKER_00: They were taught systematically that don't allow these people to come and take your opportunities.
• 22:21
SPEAKER_00: It was planted in their minds and they fell for it.
• 22:26
SPEAKER_00: And now they are pushing somebody else's agenda, which is now separating them completely from Africa.
• 22:32
SPEAKER_00: Isn't it so sad that South Africa is in the World Cup and all of Africa is saying that you guys don't like us, so we are not going to support you.
• 22:39
SPEAKER_00: We'll support anybody but you.
• 22:43
SPEAKER_00: Because the agenda is working.
• 22:47
SPEAKER_00: How is it that in 2026 you have Africans hurting Africans?
• 22:56
  SPEAKER_00: How?
• 22:58
SPEAKER_00: And the saddest thing that I've ever heard in my life is the divide which has been created between Africans in Africa and Africans in the diaspora, where they have been fed lies and pushed agendas, which makes them feel that Africans in Africa are responsible for the slave trade.
• 23:23
SPEAKER_00: They've been made to feel that Africans are the ones who harmed them.
• 23:28
SPEAKER_00: Africans are the ones who put them in the situations that they were put in.
• 23:34
SPEAKER_00: And this is fed to them every single day.
• 23:38
SPEAKER_00: These agendas are pushed internationally.
• 23:42
SPEAKER_00: Like in the diaspora, it's pushed to them all the time.
• 23:45
SPEAKER_00: That you think you think your colonial master was bad if you know what the Africans did to you.
• 23:52
SPEAKER_00: They are made to feel that they can't come back home.
• 23:55
SPEAKER_00: Because if they come back home, we hate them over here.
• 24:00
SPEAKER_00: It's so um sad and relieving at the same time to see, you know, when once they started the um year of return, and you have a lot of people coming to Ghana, coming to witness what Africa is really like, and you hear them say that they are amazed because they've always been taught that Africa hates blacks outside of Africa.
• 24:23
SPEAKER_00: They always felt they won't be welcomed if they come back home.
• 24:27
SPEAKER_00: But now they are starting to see that they were given a different picture, which is why you see so many people in the diaspora coming back to Africa.
• 24:36
SPEAKER_00: We've allowed this division to stunt our growth for so long.
• 24:41
SPEAKER_00: We talk all the time about how rich Africa is.
• 24:47
SPEAKER_00: Africa currently holds what 60% of the world's uncultivated arable land.
• 24:52
SPEAKER_00: We have so much mineral wealth.
• 24:55
SPEAKER_00: We are the youngest population on the earth.
• 24:59
SPEAKER_00: When it comes to human resources, we are strong.
• 25:02
SPEAKER_00: I mean, maybe me personally, I'm short and I'm not strong like that.
• 25:05
SPEAKER_00: But in general, we are strong, we are smart, we are intelligent, we have what it takes.
• 25:11
SPEAKER_00: But the problem is we are not united.
• 25:15
SPEAKER_00: We've been trained to not be united.
• 25:18
SPEAKER_00: Everything is against us because we are against each other.
• 25:23
SPEAKER_00: If two Africans are standing there right now and a white person comes, both of them will be trying to get the attention or favor of the white person instead of trying to be with each other.
• 25:39
SPEAKER_00: We've lost the sense of community because we've been taught how to be divided.
• 25:44
SPEAKER_00: And it's been done systematically through all the things that I mentioned earlier.
• 25:49
SPEAKER_00: We've been made to feel from education.
• 25:52
SPEAKER_00: Education has always taught us that everything the African does is bad.
• 25:57
SPEAKER_00: So when you see another African, you think this person is up to no good.
• 26:02
SPEAKER_00: Religion has been made to teach us that the gods are white, that the angels are white.
• 26:09
SPEAKER_00: If you wear black, you are a demon.
• 26:11
SPEAKER_00: But if you wear white, you are holy, which is why when you are going to church and you have everybody singing and praising, they are all wearing white because black is an evil color.
• 26:22
SPEAKER_00: So how can you see a fellow black man and think this person has any good in them?
• 26:27
SPEAKER_00: When we hear that the white man has achieved greatness, we believe it because our education, our religion, everything taught us that they are good and we are bad.
• 26:42
SPEAKER_00: So the only way a black man can get ahead in life is by doing bad.
• 26:48
SPEAKER_00: So we can't praise ourselves, we can't recommend ourselves.
• 26:54
SPEAKER_00: Like you will rarely see an African put another African in a good position.
• 27:00
  SPEAKER_00: Recommend that.
• 27:01
SPEAKER_00: Oh, I have this guy who can do this.
• 27:03
SPEAKER_00: One thing that I studied, which is so beautiful, you know, there are a lot of Lebanese companies in Ghana.
• 27:09
SPEAKER_00: And one way that the Lebanese companies keep growing is by recommending each other.
• 27:14
SPEAKER_00: You have a Lebanese company that sells tiles.
• 27:18
SPEAKER_00: As you are buying the tiles, maybe you are coming to do your bathroom, they'll tell you, Oh, have you bought you know your bathtub yet?
• 27:24
SPEAKER_00: Have you bought your showers yet?
• 27:26
  SPEAKER_00: I can recommend a good company.
• 27:27
SPEAKER_00: Then they recommend a Lebanese company that's selling bathtub and showers.
• 27:31
SPEAKER_00: When you go there, they'll ask you, have you bought your shower curtains yet?
• 27:34
SPEAKER_00: Have you bought your this yet?
• 27:35
SPEAKER_00: They'll recommend another Lebanese company that is selling shower curtains.
• 27:39
SPEAKER_00: And and it keeps going on and on like that.
• 27:42
SPEAKER_00: So as a community, they grow.
• 27:45
SPEAKER_00: But you have an African, and I sell maybe cameras, and my fellow African is selling lights.
• 27:54
SPEAKER_00: If they even ask you, oh, have you heard about this guy who sells lights?
• 28:00
SPEAKER_00: That guy, his quality is not good.
• 28:02
SPEAKER_00: No, no, no, you should go here.
• 28:04
SPEAKER_00: You know, one thing that that used to happen those days in the UK that used to bust my mind was when Ghanaian music started to pick up in the UK, when a DJ plays Ghanaian music in the UK, the Ghanaians would ask them to change the music.
• 28:26
  SPEAKER_00: Can you imagine that?
• 28:28
SPEAKER_00: Because we've been made to feel that we are so inferior that we would rather shy away from what we have instead of understanding that working together is what takes us far.
• 28:40
  SPEAKER_00: Look at the Chinese.
• 28:42
SPEAKER_00: The Chinese are ahead because they think together, they work together, they solve problems together.
• 28:50
SPEAKER_00: That is the true beauty of community.
• 28:53
SPEAKER_00: Now let's talk about what division is actually doing to you without you realizing.
• 28:57
SPEAKER_00: Division is not just unpleasant or just upsetting society, it has real costs on you.
• 29:03
SPEAKER_00: Division is costing you your families.
• 29:06
SPEAKER_00: I know families that have been torn apart because of a small issue, because of a football team, because of you know an ideology on women.
• 29:15
SPEAKER_00: I've seen families torn apart because of religion.
• 29:19
SPEAKER_00: You have division tearing up communities, people who are supposed to be working together to achieve a real goal in the community, can't stand to be in the same room because of one small difference.
• 29:34
SPEAKER_00: One thing that division is doing to you, the worst thing that division is doing to you is distraction.
• 29:41
SPEAKER_00: Division is making sure that your mind cannot think about the real big problems to solve in this world because you are wasting your time trying to solve problems of your brother's opinion.
• 29:56
SPEAKER_00: What somebody else thinks is more important to you than what you can get done for yourself.
• 30:02
SPEAKER_00: You are not thinking about the bad road that you pass on every day, you are not thinking about the electricity that hasn't been coming on for three days, or the water that isn't working, or the bad food that you are eating, or the fact that there's no money in your pocket.
• 30:17
SPEAKER_00: But you have time to argue about Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
• 30:22
SPEAKER_00: You have time to argue over how somebody prays.
• 30:25
SPEAKER_00: You have time to argue over what a woman is wearing online versus what you think she should be wearing online.
• 30:31
SPEAKER_00: You have time to sit there and say men are trash and women are evil.
• 30:35
SPEAKER_00: When you are sitting there single with no love in your life, no man likes you, no woman likes you, but you are on the internet saying men are trash, women are evil.
• 30:45
SPEAKER_00: We are so distracted by the things that are being pushed towards us that we are not realizing how horrible our lives are becoming.
• 30:54
SPEAKER_00: You work at a job you don't like.
• 30:57
SPEAKER_00: You are surrounded by people that don't make you happy.
• 31:01
SPEAKER_00: You live in a community that you don't fit in.
• 31:04
SPEAKER_00: You are saddled with problems every single day, but you have all the time and energy to focus and insult people who have different opinions from you.
• 31:16
SPEAKER_00: The most annoying thing in this world is somebody with horrible life and one CD social media credits who will come and sit there and attack people.
• 31:28
SPEAKER_00: You hear somebody is getting divorced, so you are spending all your time insulting both parties.
• 31:34
SPEAKER_00: You hear somebody's having this problem, this person versus that person.
• 31:38
SPEAKER_00: So you spend all your energy, instead of solving the poverty in your life, coming to argue and insult.
• 31:44
SPEAKER_00: People take a camera and they are doing a video to trash somebody else's opinion, somebody else's taste in life, telling people how they should live their life when you aren't even living the life that you want to live, because you are distracted.
• 32:00
SPEAKER_00: And you have to ask yourself, who is benefiting from your distraction?
• 32:07
SPEAKER_00: Every time you are coming to fight for a cause, ask yourself, do you benefit from the fight?
• 32:14
SPEAKER_00: Do you actually win anything if you win this fight that you are having?
• 32:19
SPEAKER_00: As you are sitting there fighting for Cristiano Ronaldo, or you are sitting there fighting for Lionel Messi, if you win the fight, does it affect you in any way?
• 32:30
SPEAKER_00: If right now the world decided to crown Cristiano Ronaldo the goat of football, or the world decided to crown Lionel Messi the goat of football, does it affect the money that is not in your pocket?
• 32:45
SPEAKER_00: Does it affect the food that is not in your fridge?
• 32:49
SPEAKER_00: Does it affect the bad road that you are walking on to take or to go and complain about Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi?
• 32:57
SPEAKER_00: Couldn't you have spent that brain power that you use to do research for days on how many goals Ronaldo has scored versus how many goals Messi has scored?
• 33:07
SPEAKER_00: Couldn't you have used that brain power to research how to make money and help your family, to help your mom pay her bills, or to help your dad with the hospital bills that he's not being able to pay?
• 33:19
SPEAKER_00: As you are a lady and they are telling you men are trash, men are trash, and there's a good man in your life who is trying to be sincere with you, and you are falling for some other woman's problems.
• 33:34
SPEAKER_00: You don't think the energy that you are using to come on social media and come and say men are trash under her posts, you could have used that same energy to discuss with this good man and see if there's a way you can have a better relationship.
• 33:49
SPEAKER_00: That man who is coming on social media to attack feminists and say, and feminists are this and they are destroying the society and that.
• 33:56
SPEAKER_00: You don't think you could use that same energy to learn how to treat women better so that no woman will have to say men are trash about you?
• 34:04
SPEAKER_00: The division is intentional, and the small-minded people are falling for it.
• 34:12
SPEAKER_00: Do not be a small-minded person, rise above it.
• 34:25
SPEAKER_00: Now let's talk about the fact that all this is even a borrowed identity.
• 34:30
SPEAKER_00: Because what you don't realize is what you are fighting for does not belong to you.
• 34:37
SPEAKER_00: The opinions that you think you have are not yours, they were given to you by somebody else, they were taught to you by somebody else.
• 34:49
SPEAKER_00: That lady who grows up hating men, hates men because of what her father did to her mother, hates men because of what somebody did to her best friend.
• 35:01
SPEAKER_00: Look, even before you face your first heartbreak, you have formed an opinion of the other gender based on somebody else's relationship.
• 35:12
SPEAKER_00: That man who is thinking that, oh, women these days are to this, women these days are to that.
• 35:19
SPEAKER_00: You got that message or that idea from a social media post.
• 35:23
SPEAKER_00: It's not even your original idea.
• 35:26
SPEAKER_00: You read it somewhere by somebody's biased views.
• 35:31
SPEAKER_00: The Christian who is sitting there hating every Muslim, you got that idea from your pastor who is drumming it into your head every day.
• 35:41
SPEAKER_00: The Muslim who is thinking every Christian is a bad person.
• 35:44
SPEAKER_00: You got that idea because you were taught that.
• 35:56
SPEAKER_00: Some of these ideas were not passed to you with bad intent, but everybody forms their identity and then passes it on to their other loved ones.
• 36:06
SPEAKER_00: Because maybe I genuinely feel that the only way to go to God is through Jesus.
• 36:14
SPEAKER_00: So I tell everybody around me the only way to God is through Jesus.
• 36:18
SPEAKER_00: Any other way, and the person is a demon.
• 36:21
SPEAKER_00: And somebody else feels that no Mohammed's teachings are the right way to God, and somebody feels that no Buddha was right, spirituality is the best way to serve your inner peace.
• 36:35
SPEAKER_00: And we all teach our loved ones this, so it's not even your identity, because guess what?
• 36:43
SPEAKER_00: You are a Christian because of where you were born, you are a Muslim because of where you were born.
• 36:50
SPEAKER_00: If you were born in India, you will be practicing Hinduism.
• 36:57
SPEAKER_00: The truth of the matter is your identity is borrowed.
• 37:02
SPEAKER_00: So the fact that you can hate somebody else's identity based on your broad identity is even crazier.
• 37:11
SPEAKER_00: And also realize the fact that no identity is permanent.
• 37:16
SPEAKER_00: Because somebody can be a meat lover today and a vegan five years later.
• 37:22
SPEAKER_00: Somebody can be the biggest man you supporter today and a man city supporter later.
• 37:28
SPEAKER_00: Someone can be MPP for 10 years, strongest MPP person.
• 37:33
SPEAKER_00: Next thing you see, he's standing for the primaries as an NDC person.
• 37:38
SPEAKER_00: So even your broad identity is not permanent.
• 37:42
SPEAKER_00: So how can you hate somebody else's temporary identity based on your temporary identity?
• 37:49
SPEAKER_00: You could be hating on your future self.
• 37:52
SPEAKER_00: I could be the biggest Lionel Messi fan today, and next year I'm a Ronaldo fan.
• 37:58
SPEAKER_00: How silly will I feel about all the hate I spew towards Ronaldo when I was a messy fan?
• 38:05
SPEAKER_00: Your identity is borrowed and is temporary.
• 38:09
SPEAKER_00: So stop judging other people for their opinions when your opinions are as flawed as the other person.
• 38:17
SPEAKER_00: Let's talk about the solution.
• 38:19
SPEAKER_00: Because the solution is unity.
• 38:21
SPEAKER_00: And when we say unity, unity does not mean everybody needs to agree.
• 38:26
  SPEAKER_00: No, never.
• 38:27
SPEAKER_00: It's not possible for everybody to agree.
• 38:30
SPEAKER_00: Unity means accepting the differences, accepting that we all see life in a different way.
• 38:38
SPEAKER_00: Accepting that I like Gary and you like Rice.
• 38:42
SPEAKER_00: I like Gobert and you like Kinke.
• 38:46
SPEAKER_00: And that is perfectly fine.
• 38:48
SPEAKER_00: That's what makes us a diverse society.
• 38:51
SPEAKER_00: So I can like Ronaldo and you can like Messi.
• 38:55
SPEAKER_00: I can like Ibrahimovich and you can like Henri.
• 38:58
SPEAKER_00: And it is perfectly fine.
• 39:01
SPEAKER_00: It is very okay for us to all be different.
• 39:05
SPEAKER_00: It is just fine that a man can be strong enough to lift a heavy weight, and a woman can have enough emotional intelligence to train a man to lift that heavy weight.
• 39:25
SPEAKER_00: Because when somebody is macro, they care about the end result and only the end result.
• 39:31
SPEAKER_00: So men think about let's get it done no matter what.
• 39:35
  SPEAKER_00: And women are micro.
• 39:36
SPEAKER_00: So they care about the process of getting it done.
• 39:40
SPEAKER_00: So when you put a man and a woman together in charge of a job, the man will make sure that the end result is achieved.
• 39:47
SPEAKER_00: But the woman will make sure that the result is achieved the right way.
• 39:53
SPEAKER_00: So when you have these two together, everything is done perfectly.
• 39:59
SPEAKER_00: So unity is not being like each other.
• 40:03
SPEAKER_00: Unity is not trying to make one person act more like the other.
• 40:09
SPEAKER_00: It's rather being able to work together to get to the right result.
• 40:16
SPEAKER_00: Like let's talk about one of the biggest fights between men and women.
• 40:19
SPEAKER_00: You hear men say all the time that, oh, women are too emotional.
• 40:23
  SPEAKER_00: Women make emotional decisions.
• 40:25
SPEAKER_00: And you hear women say all the time that men don't care about emotions.
• 40:29
SPEAKER_00: And both of you could be right.
• 40:31
SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's not too good to generalize, but you could be right because based on testosterone and estrogen, you could be right that men think more logically because men have been forced to solve problems more.
• 40:44
SPEAKER_00: Whereas women think more with emotion and empathy.
• 40:49
SPEAKER_00: But we need both of these to run a society.
• 40:52
SPEAKER_00: You cannot run a society purely on logic.
• 40:55
SPEAKER_00: Because if you've solved a problem but the people don't feel good, then you've not actually solved the problem.
• 41:03
SPEAKER_00: And at the same time, too, if you are only thinking about how the people feel and you are not being able to solve the problems, then the feelings, the good feelings, won't last.
• 41:14
SPEAKER_00: So you have to come together to think of a way to solve the problem in a way that makes people feel good.
• 41:23
SPEAKER_00: And that is where we work together to create good solutions.
• 41:28
SPEAKER_00: That's why you have a mother and a father so that they work together on how to raise the children in a balanced way.
• 41:38
SPEAKER_00: So unity is working together with our differences.
• 41:44
SPEAKER_00: Unity is not trying to change you to be like me.
• 41:48
SPEAKER_00: Unity is not also me trying to say I need to be more like you.
• 41:53
SPEAKER_00: But rather, how do I work with what you have and what I have to achieve the common goal that we all have?
• 42:01
SPEAKER_00: Like I said, whether you are a Ronaldo fan or a Messi fan, you are a football fan.
• 42:07
SPEAKER_00: Whether you are a Muslim or you are a Christian, you are a religious person.
• 42:12
SPEAKER_00: Whether you are a vegan or you are a meat lover, you are a food enthusiast.
• 42:18
SPEAKER_00: So how do we work together with our differences to make sure football gets better, to make sure people are more religious, to make sure food tastes better, to make sure Africa is greater.
• 42:31
SPEAKER_00: Because whether you are South African or you are Nigerian or you are Ghanaian or you are Kenyan, you are an African.
• 42:39
SPEAKER_00: So let's stop fighting each other and rather fight on how to work together.
• 42:47
SPEAKER_00: I really hope you've heard what I'm saying, and through this conversation, you come closer to being the mastermind I know you are destined to be.
• 42:57
SPEAKER_00: Thank you for watching this episode.
• 42:59
SPEAKER_00: Now, the Mastermind's dream is about building a community of people who have the right mindset and are ready to take their success into their own hands.

SPEAKER_00: So do me this wonderful favor.
