- 0:07Speaker 3: Rogan Podcast, by Night, all Day, What's.
- 0:14Speaker 4: Happening, Chaos?
- 0:15Speaker 5: I love it everything.
- 0:16Speaker 4: Yeah, the world's crazy, the center of the storm.
- 0:19Speaker 5: I think I think the world's back at war today again,
- 0:22Speaker 5: like officially right. I don't think that agreement with Iran
- 0:28Speaker 5: lasted at all, which one. I think there's there was
- 0:32Speaker 5: bombings today in Lebanon, and I think there's bombings today
- 0:37Speaker 5: in American bases. I tried to not pay attention, dude,
- 0:43Speaker 5: I really do. I try to distract myself with science
- 0:47Speaker 5: stuff and space. I was watching this documentary yesterday on
- 0:51Speaker 5: how they make chips, like how they make like semiconductor chips. Dude,
- 0:58Speaker 5: this fucking machine that they use, I'm gonna send you this, Jamie,
- 1:01Speaker 5: because it's bananas. It's like one of the most complex
- 1:04Speaker 5: machines in the world. And this this machine they used
- 1:08Speaker 5: to make semiconductors, make chips, and they were explaining the
- 1:12Speaker 5: process of making these chips. How fucking nuts it is, man,
- 1:17Speaker 5: the amount of atoms that are stacked on and like
- 1:20Speaker 5: the way they do it to make these like super
- 1:23Speaker 5: complex high end chips. There's people out there Tony, that
- 1:28Speaker 5: are doing things way different than us.
- 1:31Speaker 4: Okay, we're out there.
- 1:33Speaker 5: Talking about sucking dicks and people shitting themselves, and what's
- 1:40Speaker 5: going on in other parts of the world is people
- 1:43Speaker 5: are doing science fiction like they're actually doing science fiction
- 1:48Speaker 5: here it is. Give me a second. I like the
- 1:52Speaker 5: same things here. It is the world's most important machine. Yes,
- 1:59Speaker 5: did you find it? Yeah? Yeah, But just go to
- 2:03Speaker 5: the there's some animation where they show how they make
- 2:06Speaker 5: these things, like it was right where you were at beginning. Okay, oh, okay,
- 2:12Speaker 5: so they're just showing some of the different aspects of
- 2:17Speaker 5: how these things are made. Go back to where that
- 2:19Speaker 5: guy had the laser beam. That's perfect. Actually where that
- 2:21Speaker 5: guy had the laser beam. So this is him explaining this.
- 2:24Speaker 5: So Leless, back it up a little bit and give
- 2:28Speaker 5: me some volume. Get back it up a little bit, please.
- 2:32Speaker 3: I want to introduce it to you with a fought experiment.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Imagine you are shrunk down to the size of an
- 2:39Speaker 3: end and you're given a laser that's strong enough to
- 2:43Speaker 3: melt through metal like butter. Next, a tiny droplet of
- 2:46Speaker 3: molten tin, roughly the size of a white blood cell,
- 2:49Speaker 3: is shut out in front of you. Around two hundred
- 2:51Speaker 3: and fifty kilometers per hour. And your task is to
- 2:54Speaker 3: hit this nut once, not twice, but three times in
- 2:57Speaker 3: a row in twenty microseconds.
- 2:59Speaker 4: With your or laser. Well, that is exactly what this
- 3:03Speaker 4: machine does.
- 3:03Speaker 3: It hits one tiny tin droplet three times in a row,
- 3:07Speaker 3: eating each one up to over two hundred and twenty
- 3:09Speaker 3: thousand kelvin. That's roughly forty times hotter than the surface
- 3:13Speaker 3: of the Sun. And it doesn't just hit one droplet,
- 3:16Speaker 3: It hits fifty thousand droplets every single second. How often
- 3:21Speaker 3: do you miss a laser shot?
- 3:22Speaker 5: We don't miss them.
- 3:24Speaker 3: What you do one hundred and fifty thousand laser shots
- 3:27Speaker 3: a second, then you don't miss one.
- 3:29Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 3:31Speaker 3: The same machine also contains mirrors that might just be
- 3:34Speaker 3: the smoothest objects in the universe. If you scale one
- 3:37Speaker 3: up to the size of the Earth, then the largest
- 3:39Speaker 3: bump would be no thicker than a playing cards. What
- 3:42Speaker 3: top of that, it is able to overlay one layer
- 3:45Speaker 3: of a chip perfectly on top of another and never
- 3:47Speaker 3: be off by more than five atoms. And this is
- 3:50Speaker 3: all happening while parts of the machine whip around at
- 3:53Speaker 3: accelerations of over twenty gees for thirty years, almost everyone
- 3:58Speaker 3: thought that actually building this machine was impossible, and yet
- 4:02Speaker 3: it exists. There is only one company in the world
- 4:06Speaker 3: that can make it. So why is this company and
- 4:08Speaker 3: what is this impossible machine they've built? This video is.
- 4:13Speaker 5: That's a wow?
- 4:15Speaker 4: Yeah, what are they doing with that?
- 4:17Speaker 5: All computers like computer chips that are getting better and
- 4:21Speaker 5: better and better, all these AI chips, this is how they.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Make The one interesting thing I can just add. I
- 4:25Speaker 2: know when they make those, they make a big sheet
- 4:28Speaker 2: of chips, you know, m like they'll be like thirty
- 4:30Speaker 2: or fifty on them. They'll test each one and the
- 4:34Speaker 2: ones that are the best. But to test that like
- 4:36Speaker 2: one out of one hundred, ones that are like closest
- 4:38Speaker 2: to one hundred become like the I nine chip, And
- 4:41Speaker 2: if it's like eighty five out of one hundred, it
- 4:43Speaker 2: becomes like the nine seven chip. Oh, they all come
- 4:45Speaker 2: off the same sheet, like the best ones become the
- 4:48Speaker 2: best chips. They sell them for the most money. The
- 4:50Speaker 2: next time is just a little degraded, no kidding.
- 4:53Speaker 5: Interesting. So where there was that issue with that Samsung
- 4:56Speaker 5: chip factory, and it was about they were getting the
- 5:00Speaker 5: results that they wanted. So it's probably they were getting
- 5:03Speaker 5: more of the shitty chips, were not enough of the
- 5:06Speaker 5: perfect chips, really high end chips. We have a fan
- 5:09Speaker 5: in your yeah, I mean, imagine if everybody died and
- 5:19Speaker 5: it was just us in this room and there was
- 5:21Speaker 5: like three late, well, it'd be more than that. We'd
- 5:23Speaker 5: have to have more people otherwise were going to fuck
- 5:25Speaker 5: up the gene pool. We're all going to look like
- 5:27Speaker 5: the English Royals. We need We probably need a few
- 5:30Speaker 5: thousand people, a few thousand people like regular people like
- 5:33Speaker 5: you and I that don't know shit about how these
- 5:35Speaker 5: things work. How much time would we need if we
- 5:39Speaker 5: repopulated the earth with what we know? Basically, you starting
- 5:42Speaker 5: out like a fucking like a half ass prepper, you know,
- 5:46Speaker 5: like someone was on an episode of Lost, you know,
- 5:49Speaker 5: like one of those plane crash people trying to figure
- 5:51Speaker 5: out how to survive out there. You're fucked. You're not
- 5:54Speaker 5: inventing that.
- 5:55Speaker 4: How long is it gonna take infinity?
- 5:58Speaker 5: And how many people have to pave the way? This
- 6:01Speaker 5: is the thing for every one of these people that
- 6:03Speaker 5: makes uh an invention like this, You're making this on
- 6:07Speaker 5: the back of thousands and thousands and thousands of fucking
- 6:11Speaker 5: super geniuses. That have figured out each and every step
- 6:13Speaker 5: of the way that can lead you to thinking, is
- 6:16Speaker 5: this possible that we could do this next? You know,
- 6:18Speaker 5: they all build on each other, so you need all
- 6:21Speaker 5: these guys and hopefully they don't get any pussy, because
- 6:26Speaker 5: otherwise they're gonna get distracted. You know. I bet if
- 6:29Speaker 5: one of them gets a hot wife, like one of
- 6:31Speaker 5: their patents kicks and they start making bank and then
- 6:34Speaker 5: all of a sudden he shows up for working Ferrari
- 6:37Speaker 5: and next you know, he's got a hot wife. Everyone's like,
- 6:39Speaker 5: oh my god.
- 6:40Speaker 4: Yeah, civilization just went back n for two hundred years.
- 6:44Speaker 5: We're gonna lose Tim. Yeah, Tim's taking a hare all
- 6:50Speaker 5: coating eighteen hours a day, trying to figure out how
- 6:52Speaker 5: to get us to Mars. Actually that's a bad point
- 6:55Speaker 5: because Elon clearly gets pussy and doesn't seem to be
- 6:58Speaker 5: affecting him at all.
- 6:59Speaker 4: I think different.
- 7:01Speaker 5: He's definitely different.
- 7:03Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean some people are different, different, different.
- 7:05Speaker 5: It's fascinating how many people want to find flaws in
- 7:09Speaker 5: what he's doing instead of just looking at this like, wow,
- 7:12Speaker 5: this is an extraordinary time to be alive. But it's
- 7:15Speaker 5: because of this narrative that people have one of them.
- 7:18Speaker 5: The big one is this USAID is killing people narrative
- 7:21Speaker 5: that people have died because of the USAID, And then
- 7:23Speaker 5: a bunch of people have given examples of how them
- 7:27Speaker 5: cutting the funding has led to the end of certain
- 7:30Speaker 5: people's lives, like when they were in hospitals, they didn't
- 7:32Speaker 5: have any funding. And there's a lot of that that
- 7:36Speaker 5: you could point to say, right, if they had the money,
- 7:39Speaker 5: they would have had the funding and they would have
- 7:40Speaker 5: had that equipment in place, or maybe they wouldn't have.
- 7:42Speaker 5: But here's the other thing that's not discounting the fact
- 7:46Speaker 5: that a lot of that money is fraud. Yeah, a
- 7:49Speaker 5: lot of it, Like it's not a little amount, and
- 7:52Speaker 5: the idea that you should let it go on because
- 7:55Speaker 5: it's going to save lives and there's a bunch of
- 7:58Speaker 5: people that are stealing money. I see that argument, But
- 8:03Speaker 5: why are we sending them money in the first place? Like,
- 8:06Speaker 5: what did we do something to them? Do we owe
- 8:08Speaker 5: them money? No? Okay, we're just being nice. Are you
- 8:10Speaker 5: sure we're just being nice? Is there anybody profiting of
- 8:13Speaker 5: us off of us being nice? Because usually just being
- 8:16Speaker 5: nice for no reason and just giving tax money away
- 8:19Speaker 5: for no reason. I don't think they do that. I
- 8:20Speaker 5: don't think that's real. I used to think that was real.
- 8:23Speaker 5: I used to think that charity was real, and now
- 8:25Speaker 5: I look at it, I go, oh no, no, no, no, no,
- 8:27Speaker 5: no no. This is a giant scam that's wrapped up
- 8:29Speaker 5: in virtue. It's wrapped up in a nice cozy blanket
- 8:32Speaker 5: of being kind and compassionate and virtuous and doing good
- 8:36Speaker 5: things for people all around the world. I think a
- 8:38Speaker 5: lot of people get involved in those things because that's
- 8:40Speaker 5: what they think. We're gonna do good things around the world,
- 8:43Speaker 5: the good people. I really believe that, and then they
- 8:46Speaker 5: find out how it really works, and then they get
- 8:48Speaker 5: stuck in that system, and then they're making their way
- 8:50Speaker 5: up there, you know, air quotes corporate ladder, to the
- 8:53Speaker 5: point where some of them are making a million dollars
- 8:55Speaker 5: a year and you're like, what is this? Yeah, what
- 8:57Speaker 5: is this? This is a business, This isn't really chair.
- 9:00Speaker 5: Most of the money is going to your employees and
- 9:03Speaker 5: your overhead, and you're why do you have such a
- 9:05Speaker 5: big building? Like what are you doing?
- 9:08Speaker 1: How come you're not just funneling the money to these
- 9:10Speaker 1: people like the LA fire Aid great example, Spencer Pratt
- 9:15Speaker 1: told me how many what number did he say of
- 9:17Speaker 1: nonprofits got that money.
- 9:19Speaker 5: It's over one hundred million dollars gets raised. I don't
- 9:21Speaker 5: know the exact total. All of it goes to these
- 9:25Speaker 5: different nonprofits. I think he said two hundred different nonprofits
- 9:30Speaker 5: got the money. So and then what happens to that, Well,
- 9:33Speaker 5: they just paid their employees, they pay overhead, they pay
- 9:36Speaker 5: their rent on fucking nice office on wherever they live.
- 9:41Speaker 5: Fuck man, it's so disheartening because you've so that's what
- 9:45Speaker 5: all that stuff is. And it's also if you listen
- 9:48Speaker 5: to it when Mike Ben's has been on my podcast
- 9:50Speaker 5: a few times and explains USAID. People think of it
- 9:54Speaker 5: as AID. You think of it as, oh, we're helping
- 9:57Speaker 5: the world, which is great, right, but it's not that
- 10:00Speaker 5: it's the Agency for International Development and it involves funding
- 10:04Speaker 5: rap bands overseas that are the subversive rap bands that
- 10:10Speaker 5: are supposed to excite people to take over the government.
- 10:14Speaker 5: There's like a bunch of like weird shit funds rebels,
- 10:17Speaker 5: it funds newspapers and what was he talking about, Like
- 10:21Speaker 5: there was a lot of it, like funding rap music,
- 10:26Speaker 5: Like this is crazy. People have long said that rap
- 10:32Speaker 5: music even though listen, you love hip hop. I know
- 10:34Speaker 5: you just got back from Kanye West. I'm a huge
- 10:37Speaker 5: hip hop fan.
- 10:37Speaker 4: We got to talk about that.
- 10:39Speaker 5: We definitely do. I love hip hop. But there's some
- 10:42Speaker 5: people that believe that gangsta rap, in particular when it
- 10:46Speaker 5: came about in the nineteen eighties, was a part of
- 10:50Speaker 5: the push to popularize it and produce it. Was a
- 10:54Speaker 5: part of the government, some faction of the government, some faction,
- 10:58Speaker 5: some intelligence agencies, want to create more crime, wanting to
- 11:02Speaker 5: fill more private prisons, wanting to erode the fabric of
- 11:07Speaker 5: society so they could push for more laws to keep
- 11:10Speaker 5: you safer. This is like the one of the most
- 11:13Speaker 5: tinfoily of tinfoil hat conspiracies. But people are pointing out
- 11:17Speaker 5: that right now, it's like one of the rare times
- 11:19Speaker 5: where no rap music is on the charts, and they're saying, well,
- 11:23Speaker 5: how does this coincide with usaid? Was usaid like actively
- 11:28Speaker 5: promoting rap music? Was that one of the reasons why
- 11:31Speaker 5: rap music was so possible popular? Is that real? That
- 11:35Speaker 5: can't be real?
- 11:37Speaker 4: Maybe back in the day it seems like that would
- 11:40Speaker 4: be more manipulative. I don't see it.
- 11:42Speaker 5: I believe that until I heard mumble rap. I'm like,
- 11:44Speaker 5: this makes it. This is not real. This is trying
- 11:47Speaker 5: to make people stupid. Yeah, there's something about this, you know.
- 11:51Speaker 5: And obviously some artists are better at it than some
- 11:54Speaker 5: of them are fun the way they do it. But
- 11:56Speaker 5: I'm saying there's a giant chunk of them that are inaudible.
- 12:01Speaker 5: You don't know what they're like, Who's who's into this?
- 12:03Speaker 4: Oh? Almost all of them are inaudible.
- 12:06Speaker 5: Like what what's going on there? Imagine if that was it?
- 12:09Speaker 5: It was like people heard nas and like, this guy's
- 12:12Speaker 5: too smart. We gotta dumb it down a little, right.
- 12:15Speaker 5: We got to promote some people they could barely talk.
- 12:17Speaker 4: Yeah, we got.
- 12:18Speaker 5: To promote some people that are on cough syrup. Apparently
- 12:21Speaker 5: that's what have you ever done that? Coughs here? No,
- 12:23Speaker 5: they seem to love it. Yeah, a lot of dudes
- 12:25Speaker 5: that are into that, that cough syrup. Man, they swear
- 12:29Speaker 5: by it.
- 12:30Speaker 4: It's crazy. It's gotta be fun, It's got to be enjoyable.
- 12:33Speaker 5: Is it codeine? Is that what they're doing?
- 12:35Speaker 4: I think so?
- 12:36Speaker 5: Have you done it? Jamie? But we talked about this before,
- 12:40Speaker 5: But I remember back in the nineties, I got a
- 12:45Speaker 5: hold of some Nike Will, the real Nike Will, Like
- 12:48Speaker 5: I guess they changed the formula for Nike Will. And
- 12:52Speaker 5: I had, you know, whatever, the flu or something, and
- 12:54Speaker 5: I took some Nike when I was laying in bed.
- 12:56Speaker 5: I was like, this is wonderful. Yeah, it was wonderful,
- 13:00Speaker 5: like the just the warmth, the softness of the pillows
- 13:03Speaker 5: and the warmth through the bed with the covers room.
- 13:05Speaker 5: I'm like, oh, this is wonderful. And I remember thinking, ooh,
- 13:09Speaker 5: this is dangerous, Like this is a dangerous feeling because
- 13:14Speaker 5: if your life was shit and you found that, like
- 13:17Speaker 5: that's better than anything else that's happening in your life.
- 13:22Speaker 5: And you can get it at CVS crazy what was
- 13:25Speaker 5: in the old nikwell before they switched it.
- 13:29Speaker 4: I avoid that stuff, like the plague. I'm afraid of medicine.
- 13:32Speaker 5: So this stuff probably was like sitting in my house
- 13:36Speaker 5: if I took it, So it might have even been
- 13:38Speaker 5: older than ninety seven or ninety eight whenever this was
- 13:41Speaker 5: that I was sick. But I'll never forget it because
- 13:44Speaker 5: I never get like getting scared, Like I could love this,
- 13:48Speaker 5: like I could just drink this during the day and
- 13:50Speaker 5: just like sit on my back porch if I have
- 13:52Speaker 5: the day off, Yeah, just get obliterated with nikewell and
- 13:56Speaker 5: just enjoy the universe.
- 13:57Speaker 4: I told you about that time I took a half
- 13:59Speaker 4: of the pain pell that the dentist gave me for
- 14:01Speaker 4: my wisdom tooth. I was like, oh fuck, this is
- 14:03Speaker 4: life changing.
- 14:04Speaker 5: It says. The earliest Niquil formula include ephidrine, which is
- 14:09Speaker 5: a decongestant, dox mx doc silamine, sussenate, which is an antihestamine, acetaminifin,
- 14:20Speaker 5: dextroth methor fan cough suppressant, and about twenty five percent
- 14:25Speaker 5: alcohol while I was getting drunk too. Wow, what changed?
- 14:31Speaker 5: Mid two thousands after the combat methamphetamine? That there? It is?
- 14:35Speaker 5: They removed pseudoephiederine. So was that the stuff? So it
- 14:39Speaker 5: wasn't codine? But is there an I think there is
- 14:42Speaker 5: ni quote with codine though right what I had was
- 14:46Speaker 5: pretty good. I don't think it was as simple.
- 14:50Speaker 4: Yeah, you had the stuff they could make meth out
- 14:52Speaker 4: of or whatever.
- 14:53Speaker 5: Yeah, okay, we'll put it in perplexity, and Perplexity says
- 14:59Speaker 5: in the mid Yeah, Niquill brands sold in the US
- 15:02Speaker 5: do not contain codeine, and there's never been a standard
- 15:05Speaker 5: vix Nike Will with codeine and its active ingredient lineup
- 15:10Speaker 5: typical NYC will form so codeine. So does any cough
- 15:14Speaker 5: syrup have codine in it? That's a linas they add it?
- 15:19Speaker 5: Or is it just prescription cough syrup?
- 15:21Speaker 2: That was the whole thing about it.
- 15:23Speaker 5: Maybe I am fucking up my memory, and maybe it
- 15:26Speaker 5: wasn't Nike Will, because whatever it was, it seems like.
- 15:28Speaker 2: I get fucked up off niquil. If you have to
- 15:30Speaker 2: drink like the whole bottle, you get nic wulf, just
- 15:32Speaker 2: get fucked up.
- 15:33Speaker 5: I definitely didn't drink the whole bottle. I know I
- 15:35Speaker 5: took a dose, like a strong dose.
- 15:38Speaker 2: I don't mean you're just getting fucked up off twenty
- 15:40Speaker 2: five percent alcohol and a little bit of.
- 15:41Speaker 5: A maybe a little bit of See. The thing is,
- 15:44Speaker 5: it's so long ago. I can't remember I say Nike
- 15:47Speaker 5: Will because it's like saying Q tips, yeah, you know,
- 15:50Speaker 5: or klean X just because it's tissues or ear swabs.
- 15:53Speaker 5: I don't know if it was niquil, but it was
- 15:55Speaker 5: cough syrup, whatever the fuck it was, And I felt wonderful,
- 15:58Speaker 5: and I remember thinking like this, this could be a
- 16:00Speaker 5: real problem, like that one day because I'm always scared
- 16:03Speaker 5: of stuff like that. I'm always scared to get I
- 16:05Speaker 5: knew too many people when else growing up, they got
- 16:07Speaker 5: hooked on stuff and it just derailed their life. So
- 16:10Speaker 5: lying in bed, I was like, Oh, you're gonna do
- 16:12Speaker 5: this again? No more this right? I like it? Yeah? Yeah,
- 16:17Speaker 5: I got a knee surgery once. In the game. Even Morphine,
- 16:20Speaker 5: they meet Morphine in a drip and they say that
- 16:23Speaker 5: you can only hit that button so many times it
- 16:25Speaker 5: stops given to you. But every time you feel pain,
- 16:27Speaker 5: you can just hit the button. Because I was on
- 16:29Speaker 5: like a perpetual motion machine. So my way's going and
- 16:33Speaker 5: I'm just bang bang bang bang. This episode is brought

- 17:29Speaker 4: The closest I come to that because I've never had
- 17:32Speaker 4: like a serious surgery or anything, but I go to this.
- 17:34Speaker 4: They have a dental office here in Austin called the
- 17:37Speaker 4: Austin Dental Spa, So their whole thing is like a
- 17:41Speaker 4: luxurious dental experience, and they will hook you up the
- 17:46Speaker 4: laughing gas and they let you like if they're like,
- 17:49Speaker 4: They're like, you want a little more, and I'm like, okay, yeah.
- 17:52Speaker 4: And that's like the closest I get to it is
- 17:54Speaker 4: once every six months or so. I go there, and dude,
- 17:57Speaker 4: I'm always excited about this fucking experience. It is so awesome.
- 18:02Speaker 5: Do you ever come up of bits after doing laughing gas?
- 18:05Speaker 5: And I'll give me any idea, no.
- 18:06Speaker 4: But during the thing it makes me weirdly honest. Do
- 18:09Speaker 4: you ever see it in kill Bill when he shoots
- 18:11Speaker 4: her in the knee with the honest gun because he
- 18:13Speaker 4: was a chemist for like a living. It is like
- 18:15Speaker 4: a secret job. So he comes up with this truth serum,
- 18:18Speaker 4: and I've noticed that it makes me like weirdly very honest.
- 18:22Speaker 4: So one time when I was in the dental office,
- 18:24Speaker 4: the guy's doing whatever, and I'm like, and I'm jacked
- 18:29Speaker 4: on laughing gas because it's really you're not really like
- 18:31Speaker 4: cracking up. You're just like in heaven and you're like
- 18:34Speaker 4: it's kind of smiling ear to ear. And I remember
- 18:37Speaker 4: going like, how long did you go to school for
- 18:39Speaker 4: dental school? And he's like whatever. The answer is like
- 18:42Speaker 4: eight years, and I'm like, did you ever think about
- 18:44Speaker 4: going longer? I'm becoming a real doctor then? And I realized,
- 18:47Speaker 4: like kind of in the moment, even though I was
- 18:49Speaker 4: fucked up, like that's that sounds mean, But I think
- 18:52Speaker 4: they're totally used to it. I think they know that
- 18:55Speaker 4: laughing gas makes people fuck up.
- 18:57Speaker 5: Dude, that's so mean.
- 18:59Speaker 4: That's That's what I'm saying is it's like a dangerous
- 19:03Speaker 4: real doctor, a dangerous truth serum.
- 19:06Speaker 5: Some people want to be dentists. Yeah, we need them too, Yeah,
- 19:10Speaker 5: you know, crazy gig.
- 19:12Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a weird one.
- 19:14Speaker 5: I know, ms bad breath, they smile, oh.
- 19:17Speaker 4: And just weird things lodged in teeth for God only
- 19:20Speaker 4: knows how long.
- 19:21Speaker 5: And when I got my root canal, one of the
- 19:24Speaker 5: reason why I had to get it is because I
- 19:26Speaker 5: had a cap on my tooth or a filler whatever
- 19:30Speaker 5: it is. What's it called filler? No, when they just
- 19:34Speaker 5: fill your tooth up? Why can I fillings? Why did
- 19:37Speaker 5: I say filler whatever? Yeah, it was an old school one,
- 19:41Speaker 5: you know. It was like white plastic. And when I
- 19:43Speaker 5: was a kid, I used to have them. They were
- 19:44Speaker 5: like fucking lead. They used to give you a lead fillings,
- 19:47Speaker 5: which is crazy, Like kids had lead in their mouth
- 19:51Speaker 5: and it was hurting. It was bothering me. So what
- 19:54Speaker 5: had happened was I had cracked the tooth and it
- 19:58Speaker 5: had gotten infected underneath the filling. So it takes the
- 20:02Speaker 5: filling out and drills into it. And the smell that
- 20:07Speaker 5: came out of my mouth, it was so it was puss.
- 20:11Speaker 5: All this puss came out and this fucking horrific smell.
- 20:16Speaker 5: I was like, Oh my god, is that coming out
- 20:18Speaker 5: of my mouth? Yeah, it's like that's normal, It's okay. Right,
- 20:22Speaker 5: there's an infection under here. We're gonna treat it. You're
- 20:24Speaker 5: gonna be fine.
- 20:25Speaker 4: Yeah, piece of elk from seven years ago.
- 20:27Speaker 5: It was a long time ago. This is a long
- 20:29Speaker 5: time ago. Is before I was hunting, I think, but
- 20:31Speaker 5: it was, uh, you know, people die from that stuff,
- 20:34Speaker 5: which is really crazy. Like if you don't take care
- 20:36Speaker 5: of your teeth and you get that kind of infection,
- 20:39Speaker 5: those kind of infections can become septic.
- 20:42Speaker 4: Yeah, well it's nuts. Sometimes I'll do a thing where
- 20:44Speaker 4: I'll water floss after I brush my teeth, just to
- 20:48Speaker 4: see what would have been left in there if I
- 20:51Speaker 4: just did what normal humans do.
- 20:53Speaker 5: Because one of the ship.
- 20:54Speaker 4: I pressure water flosters that I fucking love, complete game
- 20:57Speaker 4: changer for life, and it's in what will jet out of?
- 21:01Speaker 5: There?
- 21:02Speaker 4: Will gets stuck deep in between the teeth and everything,
- 21:04Speaker 4: and you know, I think there's I would for the
- 21:07Speaker 4: most part, I do it before I brush, But every
- 21:09Speaker 4: once in a while I'll be like, I wonder if
- 21:10Speaker 4: there's anything left in there?
- 21:12Speaker 5: You know, Yeah, you have to floss. Yeah you're gonna
- 21:14Speaker 5: get a bunch of shit stuck in there.
- 21:16Speaker 4: But and even then, sometimes I'll regular floss and then
- 21:19Speaker 4: brush my teeth and just out of curiosity, go, I
- 21:22Speaker 4: wonder if there's anything left in there, and I'll do
- 21:23Speaker 4: a one silver with the water floss and you see,
- 21:25Speaker 4: like dink ding dingk three little things come out. It's
- 21:28Speaker 4: like that would have marinated in between my teeth or
- 21:31Speaker 4: in the back of my gum line or whatever.
- 21:33Speaker 5: Yeah, that's not good. But according to my dentist, he
- 21:36Speaker 5: thinks it's all sugar. He thinks if you go back
- 21:39Speaker 5: and you look at like when people started developing serious cavities,
- 21:43Speaker 5: it's people have always had abscesses and broken teeth and
- 21:48Speaker 5: there's always been like dental problems that haunted people because
- 21:51Speaker 5: back in the day, man, they just pull the tooth
- 21:53Speaker 5: out and then who knows what kind of infection you
- 21:55Speaker 5: still have in there, and they don't treat it. In
- 21:58Speaker 5: the seventeen hundreds, if you broke your tooth and got
- 22:00Speaker 5: an infection, you could be fucking dead. You know, you
- 22:02Speaker 5: could die from that shit. But he was saying that
- 22:04Speaker 5: the amount of cavities, like steeply increased when people started
- 22:09Speaker 5: putting sugar in everything, and then kids started drinking sugary
- 22:12Speaker 5: sodas and eating sugary candy, and that stuff gets stuck
- 22:16Speaker 5: in your teeth. It's like, I think that's the cause
- 22:17Speaker 5: of it.
- 22:18Speaker 4: Yeah, and probably high fruitose corn syrups probably just as
- 22:21Speaker 4: bad or if not worse than actual sugar.
- 22:23Speaker 5: That stuff's not good for your body. That's for sure.
- 22:26Speaker 5: Your body doesn't like it. Someone explained to me what's
- 22:29Speaker 5: the difference in the absorption of high fructose corn syrup
- 22:31Speaker 5: versus natural cane sugar. I completely forget how they explained it,
- 22:35Speaker 5: but they were basically saying that there's some issues with
- 22:38Speaker 5: how the body breaks it down. Well, when you drink
- 22:41Speaker 5: a soda, just think about that. Where in nature do
- 22:44Speaker 5: you get twenty grams of sugar just in liquid form
- 22:48Speaker 5: and you just pump it down glug glug, glug glug
- 22:50Speaker 5: glug glug. Ah refreshed egg.
- 22:52Speaker 4: Crazy. My buddy that I went to school with just
- 22:56Speaker 4: flew in from Hawaii, which is where he's lived for
- 22:59Speaker 4: like twenty years. He's like, he's like a wilderness guy,
- 23:02Speaker 4: climbs trees and cuts down his own pineapples and coconuts
- 23:05Speaker 4: and stuff all the time. He's he's got a great life.
- 23:08Speaker 4: And he uh, he checked a bag this trip just
- 23:13Speaker 4: a few days ago, and he brought it to the
- 23:15Speaker 4: mother Ship because that's where we met up. And he
- 23:17Speaker 4: surprised me with this checked bag that was like the
- 23:20Speaker 4: had the moldings built in and everything, and had four
- 23:22Speaker 4: coconuts and two white Hawaiian pineapples I think they're called,
- 23:27Speaker 4: which like run like sixty five dollars each or something
- 23:30Speaker 4: in the US, like it's impossible to get. And according
- 23:34Speaker 4: to him, I don't know, Uh, he's a real hippie
- 23:37Speaker 4: dippy type.
- 23:37Speaker 5: Is that the dude that you brought to the mothers Yeah, yeah, Anthony, Yeah,
- 23:40Speaker 5: your friend from high school yep, which is crazy.
- 23:42Speaker 4: Yeah, he's the he's the man. He's just a real dude.
- 23:45Speaker 5: That's crazy when you know people for that long. Yeah.
- 23:47Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 23:48Speaker 5: And so this dude is just living in Hawaii.
- 23:50Speaker 4: Living his life, and I mean, holy shit, these fucking
- 23:54Speaker 4: pineapple He's like, dude, you're going to love this pineapple. Pineapple, pineapple.
- 23:58Speaker 4: He just kept going on about it. I'm like, all right, okay,
- 24:00Speaker 4: sure enough, Holy fucking shit, man, it's nature can deliver
- 24:04Speaker 4: you a sugar dose. Because he was saying that white
- 24:08Speaker 4: Hawaiian pineapples have higher sugar but much lower acidity than
- 24:12Speaker 4: what we're used to, so it makes a whole different
- 24:14Speaker 4: and since obviously it's natural sugar in this and that,
- 24:17Speaker 4: it just makes a whole different type of fucking fruit.
- 24:20Speaker 4: It's crazy, sounds good wild. How we have to go
- 24:23Speaker 4: other places to get unbelievable shit?
- 24:26Speaker 5: Well, of course Hawaii. Yeah, Hawaii really should be its
- 24:29Speaker 5: own country. Yeah, I listen. I love Hawaii. I'm glad
- 24:32Speaker 5: they're protected by the United States. People are cool as fuck.
- 24:36Speaker 5: It should be its own country. It's five hours by plane,
- 24:39Speaker 5: Come on, man. White pineapples, primarily known as sugar loaf
- 24:44Speaker 5: or white jade pineapples highly prized, rare variety grown in Hawaii.
- 24:48Speaker 5: Unlike standard yellow, they feature creamy white flesh, particularly practically
- 24:53Speaker 5: no acidity, and a complex, completely edible core.
- 24:57Speaker 4: It was great and fucking he I's a goddamn tree,
- 25:01Speaker 4: like a little fucking monkey boy, normal, little white dude.
- 25:05Speaker 5: How did he wind up in Hawaii?
- 25:07Speaker 4: Ah, he's a real free spirit. He always was. I
- 25:11Speaker 4: think he just went out there, visited and stayed. He's
- 25:14Speaker 4: the kind of guy that just gets a one way
- 25:15Speaker 4: ticket places and figures it out as he goes. He's
- 25:18Speaker 4: in Youngstown right now. That shows you how adventurous and
- 25:21Speaker 4: crazy he is. He's like, I'm gonna spend a week
- 25:23Speaker 4: and a half there. I'm like, a week and a
- 25:25Speaker 4: half in Youngstown?
- 25:27Speaker 5: Why's he doing that?
- 25:28Speaker 4: Visit family and frenzy?
- 25:30Speaker 5: So was there a good hotel to stay at? Y?
- 25:34Speaker 4: And I even had to look this up recently because
- 25:36Speaker 4: I'm like, I'm not staying at the crazy hotel that
- 25:38Speaker 4: I stayed at last time I was there. So I'm like,
- 25:41Speaker 4: best hotel in Youngstown. And the funniest thing is the
- 25:44Speaker 4: actual closest option was in Pennsylvania, like fifty minutes away.
- 25:49Speaker 5: Truly.
- 25:50Speaker 4: I mean, there's one like Double Tree downtown, but it's
- 25:53Speaker 4: in an area of absolute chaos. He just death wish.
- 26:00Speaker 5: Do you ever go back there and go I can't
- 26:01Speaker 5: believe I grew up here.
- 26:02Speaker 4: Always one percent of the time. I got a feeling
- 26:05Speaker 4: for it immediately when I went to La, and I
- 26:08Speaker 4: didn't hear police sirens anymore like as often at least,
- 26:12Speaker 4: you know what I mean, This.
- 26:13Speaker 5: Is funny La with LA's crime.
- 26:16Speaker 4: That's what I always thought. I'm like, oh, this is
- 26:18Speaker 4: going to be crazy. I've heard these Tupac songs like
- 26:20Speaker 4: this is going to be nuts, And it was so peaceful. Yeah,
- 26:25Speaker 4: exactly so peaceful in Youngstown, at least when I was
- 26:29Speaker 4: growing up there, you could hear a police siren or
- 26:32Speaker 4: an ambulance siren almost at any point of the day. God,
- 26:37Speaker 4: my buddy sent me a shirt recently to another one
- 26:40Speaker 4: buddy that has the stats on it of us being
- 26:44Speaker 4: the murder capital. I think it was ninety ninety one
- 26:47Speaker 4: and ninety six per capita. Not the biggest population, but
- 26:53Speaker 4: per capita it was the most dangerous place you could
- 26:56Speaker 4: be when I was in those most developmental years when
- 26:59Speaker 4: her kids shouldn't be having his head next to the window. Yeah,
- 27:03Speaker 4: there it is. I got that shirt.
- 27:05Speaker 2: Wow.
- 27:05Speaker 4: Four time defending champion murder Capital of America.
- 27:10Speaker 5: Wow.
- 27:11Speaker 4: Yep in one oh two. That puts me as a
- 27:13Speaker 4: sophomore in junior in high school and ninety five ninety seven.
- 27:17Speaker 4: I'm eleven twelve and you're being raised by your mom. Yeah,
- 27:20Speaker 4: on the north on the craziest fucking area of the
- 27:25Speaker 4: whole goddamn thing, the most dilapidated part of the north
- 27:28Speaker 4: side of Youngstown.
- 27:30Speaker 5: Wow.
- 27:30Speaker 4: Yeah, I can't believe it. That's why, like every part
- 27:35Speaker 4: of my fucking story, I'm like, this is so goddamn weird.
- 27:40Speaker 5: So weird it is when you think about it, right,
- 27:43Speaker 5: you really stop and think about it, doesn't Sixty years ago,
- 27:45Speaker 5: this Ohio city was named Crimetown, USA. Ye, crime town.
- 27:50Speaker 5: Five bombings, yep. Oh this was the mob days. Yeah,
- 27:54Speaker 5: so it used to be a mob run town, right totally.
- 27:58Speaker 5: They were called bombtown.
- 27:59Speaker 4: Yeah. A Youngstown tune up is a car bomb.
- 28:03Speaker 5: Look at this. Seventy five bombings, eleven killings in a decade,
- 28:08Speaker 5: and no one seems to care.
- 28:11Speaker 4: They were so nuts in Youngstown that somebody tried to
- 28:14Speaker 4: kill the actual prosecutor, the actual DA.
- 28:18Speaker 5: Well, isn't that normal. Well, they always try to do that.
- 28:20Speaker 4: Well, it's kind of the stupidest, craziest thing you could do,
- 28:23Speaker 4: because then the entire FBI comes down on you. It's
- 28:27Speaker 4: a little short sighted to go, ah, we're gonna kill
- 28:30Speaker 4: the main cop of this city and not think that
- 28:33Speaker 4: anything's going to happen from that. Well, we beat the game,
- 28:36Speaker 4: We beat the main cop.
- 28:37Speaker 5: Imagine trying to be an intelligent businessman and also a
- 28:41Speaker 5: mob leader. Imagine like playing things out in advance, but
- 28:46Speaker 5: also you're a mob leader.
- 28:47Speaker 4: There was a lot of that going on, and I
- 28:50Speaker 4: got to see quite a bit of it. Like there were,
- 28:54Speaker 4: let's put it this way, mall developers in Youngstown and
- 28:57Speaker 4: things like that. And I got to see firsthand, very
- 29:00Speaker 4: young that they were communicating with politicians at lunch time
- 29:04Speaker 4: and stuff, because I was working at this little Italian
- 29:07Speaker 4: restaurant at the time, right out of high school and
- 29:12Speaker 4: and having they were having these quiet meetups and a
- 29:15Speaker 4: quiet in the corner of a quiet Italian restaurant, and
- 29:18Speaker 4: you would see these huge moguls, you know, I won't
- 29:22Speaker 4: name any names, but big business people in Youngstown meeting
- 29:25Speaker 4: with the local this and that and congressmen. I got
- 29:28Speaker 4: to meet that congressman and that congressman because they're there
- 29:31Speaker 4: meeting with these super duper rich people, and I'm like,
- 29:33Speaker 4: I wonder what the correlation is there?
- 29:35Speaker 5: Bro back then when there was no cell phones. Yeah,
- 29:39Speaker 5: and you know, they had a bug people. They have
- 29:42Speaker 5: to they had to literally bug businesses to get information.
- 29:45Speaker 5: Like they were all doing something. Oh yeah, you couldn't
- 29:48Speaker 5: be involved in any big time business if you weren't
- 29:52Speaker 5: down with the teamsters, if you weren't down with the
- 29:54Speaker 5: longshore men. You had to you hatta, we gotta work
- 29:57Speaker 5: this out, Bobby Well businessman. That's that's how you did
- 30:03Speaker 5: a business.
- 30:04Speaker 4: Give a little money to their campaign, not a little,
- 30:06Speaker 4: but a bit, and then you can get your stuff
- 30:09Speaker 4: passed and make life easier down the road.
- 30:11Speaker 5: Dude. I had friends that had no show jobs. Wow. Yeah.
- 30:15Speaker 5: I had a friend of mine that had a no
- 30:17Speaker 5: show job in New York at the Javit Center. You know,
- 30:21Speaker 5: the Javit Center is like a big convention center. You
- 30:24Speaker 5: had a union no show job.
- 30:26Speaker 4: Wow.
- 30:26Speaker 5: So he's a mob guy. Yeah, and they they just
- 30:29Speaker 5: gave him money. I get a free check.
- 30:31Speaker 4: On the Sopranos, they had those show construction jobs. They're
- 30:35Speaker 4: sitting there with their portable fans.
- 30:37Speaker 5: Yeah. No, that's real, dude, that is a real thing. Yeah,
- 30:41Speaker 5: there's they get a certain amount of jobs. They would
- 30:44Speaker 5: make agreements, like the union would make an agreement get
- 30:47Speaker 5: a certain amount of these jobs. It's like, you know,
- 30:50Speaker 5: it's crazy. It's really one hundred jobs, but we want
- 30:53Speaker 5: one hundred and thirty. Youngstown was a haven for organized crime.
- 31:00Speaker 5: Related corruption was ingrained into the fabric of its society.
- 31:04Speaker 5: A two thousand publication New Republic listed a chief of police,
- 31:07Speaker 5: the outgoing prosecutor of the sheriff, the county engineer, members
- 31:10Speaker 5: of the local police force, a city law director, several
- 31:14Speaker 5: defense attorneys, politicians, judges, and a former assistant US attorney
- 31:18Speaker 5: as controlled by the mob.
- 31:21Speaker 4: So if they have that, if they found that for sure,
- 31:26Speaker 4: imagine how many others.
- 31:27Speaker 5: There are, right, that's everybody's everybody, the prosecutor, the sheriff,
- 31:32Speaker 5: the county engineer, the police force, city law director, defense attorney.
- 31:36Speaker 5: Imagine not being down with the mob. Do you want
- 31:39Speaker 5: to stay alive? Like, do you want to work in
- 31:41Speaker 5: this business?
- 31:42Speaker 4: Right? And this is a city I think we looked
- 31:44Speaker 4: it up the other day. Actually I think it only
- 31:45Speaker 4: has twenty five thousand white people, so knowing that black
- 31:50Speaker 4: people tend to not be in the Italian mob, just
- 31:54Speaker 4: going off of twenty five thousand, and that's current. I
- 31:58Speaker 4: don't know what it was back in the day. But
- 31:59Speaker 4: the point is it's like, it's not a big city.
- 32:03Speaker 4: It's not I think fifty sixty thousand and half or
- 32:07Speaker 4: less white.
- 32:09Speaker 5: So there's Yeah, it was a little Tony watching pro wrestling.
- 32:13Speaker 4: Oh yeah, pro wrestling, And even then I was obsessed
- 32:16Speaker 4: with Goodfellas and a Bronx Tale and a Godfather because
- 32:19Speaker 4: it's like it's just what you're taught is humanity, Like
- 32:23Speaker 4: that's life. Yeah, So getting out of that and going
- 32:27Speaker 4: to LA and thinking it was going to be all, no,
- 32:29Speaker 4: it's gonna be crazy gangs and stuff, and it's just quiet.
- 32:33Speaker 4: Granted I started in Burbank, which is a fucking television
- 32:36Speaker 4: studio essentially, But when.
- 32:38Speaker 5: I moved to New Jersey and I didn't have any money.
- 32:40Speaker 5: When I first moved to New York, I couldn't afford
- 32:42Speaker 5: to live in New York City or I didn't even
- 32:45Speaker 5: have apartment. I stayed with my grandparents because my grandfather
- 32:48Speaker 5: lived in New Jersey, in Newark, and he bought a
- 32:53Speaker 5: house there and I think it was like the nineteen forties,
- 32:56Speaker 5: and they did a thing called blockbusting. Do you know what?
- 32:58Speaker 5: Blockbusting was a door to door and they would say,
- 33:01Speaker 5: black people are moving into the neighborhood. You got to
- 33:03Speaker 5: sell now, and everybody sold. It used to be an
- 33:05Speaker 5: entirely Italian neighborhood. And he was like, I like, black people,
- 33:08Speaker 5: get the fuck out of here. And he kept his house,
- 33:10Speaker 5: but it was like one of very few families that stayed.
- 33:14Speaker 5: And then the black people moved out and then they
- 33:17Speaker 5: started getting like different people is Spanish speaking people like
- 33:20Speaker 5: Dominicans and a bunch of other And that's how it
- 33:23Speaker 5: was when I stayed with him. So this is like
- 33:29Speaker 5: ninety ninety one. Yeah, I was three years in the comedy,
- 33:32Speaker 5: so it's probably ninety one. And while I was living
- 33:35Speaker 5: with him, the next door neighbor's house got broken into
- 33:37Speaker 5: by the cops. The dea smashed down his door. Dude
- 33:40Speaker 5: had an Audi parked in a driveway. He was selling crack,
- 33:43Speaker 5: like right next door to my grandpa. The whole neighborhood
- 33:46Speaker 5: was his nuts. Dude, Like he would get really nervous
- 33:48Speaker 5: when I would leave, Like I would leave to go
- 33:50Speaker 5: play pool somewhere, and he would be careful. They're like
- 33:52Speaker 5: it was fucking scyah. But it didn't used to be
- 33:58Speaker 5: like when he first moved there. It was just an
- 34:01Speaker 5: all Italian neighborhood.
- 34:03Speaker 4: Yep.
- 34:03Speaker 5: Real estate people even back, like what a dirty thing
- 34:06Speaker 5: to do, scare people into moving. That's probably the first
- 34:10Speaker 5: project of usaid that's probably yeah, yeah, they've probablys got
- 34:16Speaker 5: real estate people to destroy neighborhoods.
- 34:19Speaker 4: There's something to it. I don't know the correlation of
- 34:21Speaker 4: Italian neighborhoods being taken over not taken over but whatever
- 34:27Speaker 4: by black people, like the mob run cities like Youngstown,
- 34:31Speaker 4: like Chicago, like Detroit. It's an interesting anomaly. I wonder
- 34:37Speaker 4: if there's any correlation between the things.
- 34:40Speaker 5: Well, you know, most of the Italians that came in
- 34:43Speaker 5: the early twentieth century were very poor. You know, they
- 34:47Speaker 5: were all coming over here for labor jobs and things
- 34:50Speaker 5: along those lines. And you know, when they started doing better,
- 34:55Speaker 5: they you know, they started moving out and moving into
- 34:57Speaker 5: the suburbs and moving into you know, gentrified areas. It's
- 35:01Speaker 5: always what are the new immigrants that are gonna come
- 35:04Speaker 5: and take over this area that was like formerly a
- 35:07Speaker 5: low income Italian neighborhood or a low income Irish neighborhood.
- 35:11Speaker 5: It's the same thing. Like there's cycles, you know. It's
- 35:15Speaker 5: like there's cycles in fighting too, Like in the early
- 35:19Speaker 5: twentieth century, there's a lot of Jewish fighters like Slappy
- 35:22Speaker 5: Maxie Rosenbloom. You never heard of him, right, No, the
- 35:25Speaker 5: very good Jewish fighters because they were poor and they
- 35:29Speaker 5: were the new immigrants, you know. And this is like
- 35:32Speaker 5: before World War Two and then in and even afterwards,
- 35:37Speaker 5: there was some but then you get Italians, you get
- 35:40Speaker 5: a lot of Italians got Rocky Marciano, Rocky Graziano. There's
- 35:44Speaker 5: a lot of like Jake Lamatta, there's a lot of
- 35:46Speaker 5: these like Italian bad motherfuckers because they were poor. Yeah,
- 35:50Speaker 5: and then what happened. Then you got a lot of
- 35:53Speaker 5: Puerto Ricans, a lot of you know, it's always like
- 35:55Speaker 5: who's the new immigrants, right and who are the most hungry?
- 35:59Speaker 5: Come from the most poverty ridden areas? Like Roberto Duran
- 36:03Speaker 5: came from a terrible part of Panama, Like not terrible,
- 36:06Speaker 5: but I mean like very poor, very violent, and he
- 36:09Speaker 5: was one of the baddest motherfuckers right down the street. Yep. Yeah,
- 36:14Speaker 5: I mean Youngstown is known for boxing. Yeah, Kelly Pablock,
- 36:19Speaker 5: Kelly pablic who's been on the podcast. He's awesome. Yeah,
- 36:22Speaker 5: he was a beast dude.
- 36:24Speaker 4: Oh man, that fight with him Jermaine Taylor. I still
- 36:29Speaker 4: rewatched the end of that.
- 36:30Speaker 5: How did he survive?
- 36:31Speaker 4: Give me a burst of energy.
- 36:33Speaker 5: I mean, how did he make it through? That was
- 36:36Speaker 5: a crazy I mean he got dropped, he looked like
- 36:38Speaker 5: it looks like the fight was over. And then when
- 36:40Speaker 5: he's got him in the corner and he rocks him and.
- 36:43Speaker 4: I go, no way.
- 36:45Speaker 5: Yeah, he's coming back. This is crazy, crazy this. Did
- 36:48Speaker 5: you watch the fights this weekend? Toron Boots Ennis and
- 36:51Speaker 5: I forget the dude was fighting.
- 36:53Speaker 4: No, I was at that concert. I missed it.
- 36:56Speaker 5: Boots is very good and for the most part he
- 36:58Speaker 5: beat his ass, but the third round he got rocked.
- 37:01Speaker 5: The third round was incredible because he the kid he
- 37:04Speaker 5: was fighting. Who's the gentleman that he was fighting, James Zius, Yeah,
- 37:08Speaker 5: young kid. He got dropped in the second round, like
- 37:12Speaker 5: pretty bad. Boots is very good, he's like one of
- 37:14Speaker 5: the best boxers alive. And then the third round, the
- 37:17Speaker 5: kid came back and rocked Boots and it was just
- 37:19Speaker 5: a war. Just the third round was incredible. Boots wound
- 37:22Speaker 5: up stopping him. I think he stopped him in like
- 37:25Speaker 5: the seventh or the eighth round. Uh, he just dropped
- 37:28Speaker 5: him one last time and the corner called it. It was enough,
- 37:32Speaker 5: like he was getting his ass kicked. But he was very,
- 37:34Speaker 5: very valiant. You know. It was a really good fight,
- 37:37Speaker 5: Like Boots is better than him, like clearly, it's like
- 37:39Speaker 5: he's on another level. But this kid showed just tremendous heart.
- 37:43Speaker 5: But it's like that third round was just coming back
- 37:46Speaker 5: from getting dropped in the second like those kind of
- 37:48Speaker 5: moments where guy's getting fucked up, like like the Gatesheet
- 37:51Speaker 5: to Poria fight. Yeah, perfect example.
- 37:54Speaker 4: Yeah right, that's when it's really a fight.
- 37:57Speaker 5: A real fight. Yeah, because to a Poria was on
- 38:01Speaker 5: him in that second round.
- 38:03Speaker 4: Man, we were so close, they were in there.
- 38:06Speaker 5: We could hear it.
- 38:07Speaker 4: They Oh you could really you could feel it where
- 38:10Speaker 4: I was, man, And you know, obviously we're always close
- 38:13Speaker 4: to the cage on those things. But then when Gate,
- 38:16Speaker 4: when Tipuria was landing those body shots, it was right
- 38:20Speaker 4: against our side of the fence, and I'm literally like,
- 38:24Speaker 4: oh my, I mean, holy fucking shit, man. And I've
- 38:28Speaker 4: seen a lot of people get ripped of the body before,
- 38:30Speaker 4: but there is something about his close range strength in
- 38:34Speaker 4: near that clench, that close up fucking range of ilia
- 38:39Speaker 4: that is scary.
- 38:40Speaker 5: He's so good, dude, He's so good, and he's so precise.
- 38:45Speaker 5: He just tried to like Chaill. I always repeat this
- 38:48Speaker 5: because Chill Sun had said it was perfect. If you
- 38:50Speaker 5: try to win by knockout and fail, you won't win
- 38:53Speaker 5: a decision. Yeah, And sometimes you just run out of
- 38:57Speaker 5: gas because like you're not supposed to fight like that.
- 38:59Speaker 5: If you think that the fight's gonna go five rounds,
- 39:01Speaker 5: like Ilia had him hurt and he's like, I can
- 39:03Speaker 5: take him out. But Justin so durable. Man, He's so durable.
- 39:09Speaker 5: And that left hook to the body the sound of it, man,
- 39:13Speaker 5: it's just whip. It's so perfect. He throws perfect punches.
- 39:17Speaker 5: His punches are just even. Justin said it in the
- 39:22Speaker 5: post fight interview, like when he's fresh, his skills are unmatched,
- 39:25Speaker 5: Like that's a crazy thing to say to a guy
- 39:26Speaker 5: who just beat up and made stop. He stopped him
- 39:29Speaker 5: in the fourth round. Yeah, that's crazy to say, like
- 39:32Speaker 5: his skills are unmatched, but they really are.
- 39:35Speaker 4: Oh, every point of that, I'm at every point of that.
- 39:38Speaker 4: Anybody I think that knows anything about those two fighters
- 39:41Speaker 4: is going until this is stopped. Anybody can win this.
- 39:46Speaker 4: Like even when his face was blown up and his
- 39:49Speaker 4: eyes looked black and closed, until that airhorn rings, I'm
- 39:55Speaker 4: like anything one punch and we've seen it, even with
- 39:59Speaker 4: Gae Chee, saw it with Holloway, Right, was it him
- 40:02Speaker 4: who did he square up with in the middle?
- 40:04Speaker 5: Yes? Way, yes, Max hit him with that final punch.
- 40:07Speaker 4: One chin one with one second left, it can all
- 40:11Speaker 4: be over.
- 40:12Speaker 5: Yeah, that was a little different in that Holloway caught
- 40:16Speaker 5: him with a jump spinning back kick to the face
- 40:19Speaker 5: in the very last seconds of the first round and
- 40:21Speaker 5: broke the bone of his nose. We talked about it
- 40:25Speaker 5: on the podcast and I was like, that changed that
- 40:27Speaker 5: fight because before that, Geechee was pressing him and it
- 40:31Speaker 5: looked very competitive, and it looked like maybe Geechee had
- 40:34Speaker 5: a slight advantage, but that's because Max. Max is very clever,
- 40:39Speaker 5: very clever fighter, Like he's always switching stances and moving
- 40:42Speaker 5: and you know, really hadn't showed that spinning backkick a lot.
- 40:45Speaker 5: That hadn't been a feature in a lot of his fights.
- 40:47Speaker 5: He did it a few times, but for him to
- 40:50Speaker 5: land it that way, backing up, jumped to the face,
- 40:52Speaker 5: I mean, it was perfect. It was perfect, and his
- 40:56Speaker 5: nose was fucked. And if you're fighting with a broken
- 40:58Speaker 5: like a broken bone on your face, every time you're
- 41:01Speaker 5: getting hit, you're getting just blasted. You're the pain is insane.
- 41:06Speaker 5: And then you know he had you know, he was
- 41:09Speaker 5: a step behind Max. Max is teeing off on him.
- 41:12Speaker 5: He landed some good shots though. Even though it was
- 41:14Speaker 5: a good fight, I mean, Max was definitely ahead in
- 41:17Speaker 5: the fifth round, but it was a good fight. And
- 41:20Speaker 5: then you know, during that wild exchange, she should have
- 41:23Speaker 5: never done that. Yeah, he was already fading, whereas Max
- 41:26Speaker 5: was still very fresh. Fucking crazy fight, man, Yeah, that
- 41:31Speaker 5: was a crazy fight.
- 41:32Speaker 4: I think Tapuria's nose was broken. And round two, I
- 41:36Speaker 4: think it was pretty early on and.
- 41:40Speaker 5: Hard to say. Yeah, you know, but Justin did clip
- 41:42Speaker 5: him with a bunch of those uppercuts. So Justin does
- 41:45Speaker 5: this thing where he like collar ties you and then
- 41:48Speaker 5: throws an uppercut in tight and he's really good at it.
- 41:51Speaker 5: He's really good at like turning you a little and
- 41:53Speaker 5: then throwing an uppercut in these exchanges. He collar ties
- 41:56Speaker 5: and uppercuts. He caught him a few times. And you
- 41:58Speaker 5: just get one of those on the fucking nose on
- 42:01Speaker 5: the old schnazole. This thing's so brittle. Yeah, it's such
- 42:04Speaker 5: a if you feel your nose, just feel it. Have
- 42:07Speaker 5: you ever seen Morob's nose, the X ray of Morob's nose?
- 42:12Speaker 5: Have you never seen it? I sent it to you, right,
- 42:14Speaker 5: jam Jamie'll find it. It's crazy. Look at it looks like,
- 42:19Speaker 5: oh my god, look at that. Oh fuck, bro, that
- 42:25Speaker 5: thing is destroyed. I mean it's destroyed. He's getting zero
- 42:28Speaker 5: air out of that. He's got the best cardio on
- 42:30Speaker 5: planet Earth, and he's getting zero air out of his nose.
- 42:34Speaker 5: But he won't get it fixed because if he gets
- 42:36Speaker 5: it fixed, he can't fight for like a year, and
- 42:39Speaker 5: he just wants to keep on trucking.
- 42:41Speaker 4: Yeah, that dude's a freak.
- 42:45Speaker 5: If I was his friend, I would say, dude, you
- 42:47Speaker 5: got a lot of money, you're a world champion. Let's
- 42:50Speaker 5: fix the nose. Let's fix it. Let's take a year off,
- 42:52Speaker 5: come back and fuck these motherfuckers up. Because if that
- 42:55Speaker 5: guy's got a fixed nose, he's got ten percent more cardio.
- 42:58Speaker 5: Are you crazy? Yeah, that guy with time percent more cardio.
- 43:01Speaker 5: That's an extra weapon. I would get it fixed. But
- 43:05Speaker 5: the problem is if he gets it fixed and then,
- 43:07Speaker 5: like he fights a guy like Halloween, he gets jumping
- 43:09Speaker 5: its spinning back kicked to the nose in the first
- 43:11Speaker 5: round and it shattered is again, then he's kind of
- 43:14Speaker 5: fucked because if they have to fix it again, then
- 43:16Speaker 5: they might have to start taking pieces of your rib
- 43:18Speaker 5: out and reconstructing your nose and grafting bone and doing
- 43:23Speaker 5: weird shit. And then sometimes that shit doesn't take and
- 43:27Speaker 5: sometimes it gets infected and then you have a bone
- 43:30Speaker 5: infection on your face and why do they do that?
- 43:32Speaker 5: And then they have to remove your nose? Is that
- 43:34Speaker 5: what they have to do? Fuck? God, scary shit.
- 43:37Speaker 4: Man, very much.
- 43:38Speaker 5: So he's fucking dudes, man, that is a crazy job
- 43:42Speaker 5: to risk your life, risk your health, risk your bones.
- 43:45Speaker 5: You're making a living by trying to damage another person
- 43:49Speaker 5: who's trying to damage you.
- 43:51Speaker 4: Nuts.
- 43:52Speaker 5: But it's also why it's the most exciting shit in
- 43:54Speaker 5: the world to watch. Exactly so exciting. Yea, even boxing,
- 43:59Speaker 5: as you know, tamed in comparison to MMA because there's
- 44:04Speaker 5: less weapons and less options and you, yeah, you don't
- 44:08Speaker 5: get the chokeouts, the crazy chokeouts. There was a crazy
- 44:12Speaker 5: choke out this weekend. His name is Ruzaboyev, and he
- 44:16Speaker 5: fought uh god, how do I say his last name?
- 44:19Speaker 5: You fought this Russian cat and got him Russian or Ukrainian,
- 44:23Speaker 5: I forget. But he got him in a real naked
- 44:25Speaker 5: choke and put him to sleep. And it was one
- 44:27Speaker 5: of those ones where the guy looks dead, he's like
- 44:29Speaker 5: lying there. I mean, it was a fucking nasty choke man.
- 44:32Speaker 5: And yeah, and it's looking at Oh yeah, I saw that.
- 44:37Speaker 5: It was dark dude.
- 44:38Speaker 4: It's another meme out this week along with the.
- 44:40Speaker 5: W A point name bro was nuts.
- 44:45Speaker 4: The memes on these things are nuts nowadays.
- 44:47Speaker 5: Uh, the internet is undefeated.
- 44:49Speaker 4: Oh it's crazy.
- 44:50Speaker 5: They're so good at memes. There's so many people out
- 44:52Speaker 5: there working jobs that they hate that are smart and funny.
- 44:56Speaker 4: Yeah, we were talking about it the other day. But
- 44:59Speaker 4: you have you caught up with any of those WNBA
- 45:02Speaker 4: what's their name? The girl that's pointing out Sophie Cunningham.
- 45:05Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I've been paying it with that thing in
- 45:08Speaker 5: the middle. Yes, I've been paying attention very little. But
- 45:14Speaker 5: one of the things that I did watch is all
- 45:16Speaker 5: the fouls, Like these bitches throw each other to the
- 45:19Speaker 5: ground and they poke each other in the eyes like
- 45:23Speaker 5: they do this, They literally jab each other in the eyes.
- 45:26Speaker 5: It's crazy, like they they foul. And also they travel
- 45:30Speaker 5: so much, they take like four or five steps and
- 45:34Speaker 5: then no one calls them on it.
- 45:35Speaker 4: Oh yeah, double durable.
- 45:38Speaker 5: Is there a trend now to not call traveling?
- 45:42Speaker 4: Yes, without a doubt in the actual NBA. It's a thing.
- 45:46Speaker 2: Too's just hard to get into this without going way
- 45:49Speaker 2: into do like the Weeds, but the NBA has a
- 45:52Speaker 2: technically different rule than college, and like high school and
- 45:54Speaker 2: everyone else where there's that they call it a gather step,
- 45:57Speaker 2: and the definitely would call it in high school.
- 45:59Speaker 5: But they work all.
- 46:01Speaker 2: Day manipulating it, with the referee watching them, saying like,
- 46:03Speaker 2: you can do that, but you can't do that. You
- 46:05Speaker 2: can do this, but you can't do that, and so
- 46:07Speaker 2: like they've got it to a place where everything they're
- 46:09Speaker 2: doing looks like traveling and double dribbles.
- 46:11Speaker 5: But guys will break it down.
- 46:13Speaker 2: In slow mo and you'll be like, well, technically, it's not.
- 46:15Speaker 5: Because it's weird. I always thought if you took a
- 46:18Speaker 5: step you had to bounce the ball. Yeah, that's how
- 46:20Speaker 5: it should be.
- 46:21Speaker 4: You're allowed to.
- 46:22Speaker 5: Doesn't it seem like that should be how it is.
- 46:25Speaker 5: You'll see guys taking four steps, like what's going on?
- 46:28Speaker 2: But do you want to see exciting basketball or not?
- 46:30Speaker 5: Yeah? I do?
- 46:32Speaker 2: All right, Well, then just let the referees call the
- 46:34Speaker 2: game how they call it.
- 46:35Speaker 5: But I think there's something exciting about you having to
- 46:37Speaker 5: bounce that ball because you won't be able to score
- 46:39Speaker 5: as much, right, correct if you have to bounce it
- 46:43Speaker 5: every two steps, whatever it is.
- 46:45Speaker 4: I wish I loved the NBA like I did when
- 46:47Speaker 4: I was a kid, and fucking Barkley and Jordan and
- 46:51Speaker 4: Ewing and all these people were physical. It is just
- 46:54Speaker 4: a whole different game.
- 46:55Speaker 5: Now, is so back then? Was it traveling on the
- 47:00Speaker 5: Larry Bird days?
- 47:01Speaker 4: Hell yeah, unless Jordan talked to the ref and said, Yo,
- 47:04Speaker 4: you're wrong, let me do what I want.
- 47:06Speaker 5: Well, Jordan had the cheat code where he would leap
- 47:08Speaker 5: from the fucking free throw line.
- 47:10Speaker 4: Yeah, that is so.
- 47:12Speaker 5: When I've watched videos of that, it doesn't even look real.
- 47:15Speaker 5: He was such an amazing athlete. He was so good
- 47:19Speaker 5: and so possessed by his desire to win. He would
- 47:23Speaker 5: do things that you would just go, how does a
- 47:25Speaker 5: person fly? Yeah, dude, imagine if he was like a
- 47:30Speaker 5: like one of those jumpers, those long distance jumpers. He
- 47:32Speaker 5: probably been insane. Jump Yeah, because he's going from the
- 47:35Speaker 5: free throw line in the air. That's crazy.
- 47:39Speaker 4: Everything he did was crazy, the way he did things,
- 47:43Speaker 4: the way he practiced everything.
- 47:45Speaker 5: Yeah, and did he not make his college team? High
- 47:49Speaker 5: school team? Wasn't there like one year.
- 47:52Speaker 2: When he was a freshman, he didn't make the varsity team.
- 47:54Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying, yeah, that's most freshman, don't.
- 47:58Speaker 4: Perfect may have changed basketball three forever.
- 48:01Speaker 5: Most freshmen, though, that doesn't make sense because they're not
- 48:03Speaker 5: even developed yet. Yeah you're playing. I know kids in
- 48:06Speaker 5: Texas they keep their kids back a year. Wow, they
- 48:09Speaker 5: want their kid to be bigger. I want Billy to
- 48:12Speaker 5: be the biggest freshman. I want them to be a
- 48:14Speaker 5: fifteen year old freshman. We're pushing for right before it's
- 48:16Speaker 5: fifteenth birthday. Like, hey, fifteen is a sophomore. Billy's a
- 48:20Speaker 5: fucking cheater. Why he's saying back of Billy, Yeah that
- 48:24Speaker 5: It doesn't bother me nearly as much in a sport
- 48:27Speaker 5: like football, where I see what you're doing, like you're
- 48:30Speaker 5: preparing a kid for a professional future. Perhaps especially in Texas,
- 48:34Speaker 5: they're very into it down here. But if it's a
- 48:37Speaker 5: wrestling it's like, hey, yeah, hey, there's fucking no money
- 48:41Speaker 5: in this. And that kid's sixteen. He's in the ninth grade.
- 48:45Speaker 4: Yeah, it's nuts.
- 48:48Speaker 5: How is the How old is the oldest that a
- 48:51Speaker 5: kid can be in competing in high school sports? Jamie?
- 48:57Speaker 5: Please put that into our sponsor perplexity. Let's find out.
- 49:01Speaker 5: I wonder if it varies by sport.
- 49:03Speaker 2: Definitely by sport by state.
- 49:06Speaker 5: Mmm. Interesting, do they all have a cap at eighteen
- 49:11Speaker 5: or do they allow you to but it's compete at nineteen.
- 49:13Speaker 2: Yeah, there's gonna be a but before I even hit enter,
- 49:15Speaker 2: I note it's going to say something about, like your
- 49:17Speaker 2: graduating class can't be out maybe more than like two
- 49:20Speaker 2: years or something like that because you got held back
- 49:22Speaker 2: or you had an injury or.
- 49:23Speaker 5: Something like that. Boy, I remember from my days of
- 49:27Speaker 5: being like seventeen and eighteen, the difference between seventeen and
- 49:30Speaker 5: nineteen was huge. Yeah, it's a big difference.
- 49:34Speaker 4: Fuck.
- 49:34Speaker 5: Yeah, by the time you're nineteen, you're basically man's strength,
- 49:37Speaker 5: you know. Seventeen I was like a boy still, Yeah,
- 49:40Speaker 5: you know, like it was flimsy. Seventeen I was like
- 49:44Speaker 5: a flimsy kid. By the time I was nineteen, it
- 49:46Speaker 5: was it's a different animal. You've got two more years
- 49:48Speaker 5: of training in testosterone in you. If you're a wrestler,
- 49:52Speaker 5: that's got to be a huge advantage.
- 49:55Speaker 4: Every advantage. Everything in wrestling is a huge advantage. Starting
- 49:58Speaker 4: one year earlier is.
- 50:00Speaker 5: Huge, huge advantage.
- 50:01Speaker 2: Yeah, nineteen, based off.
- 50:02Speaker 5: Of oh Bro, that's so rude, making nineteen year olds
- 50:06Speaker 5: wrestle against like possibly fifteen year olds is crazy, right,
- 50:11Speaker 5: So if you are like in a certain weight class
- 50:14Speaker 5: that's not strong. Like I wasn't a good wrestler. I
- 50:16Speaker 5: was a pretty good wrestler. But I started. I was
- 50:19Speaker 5: on the varsity team at my high school and uh,
- 50:23Speaker 5: like one year I didn't even cut weight or one
- 50:25Speaker 5: one weight class I didn't cut. I was there was
- 50:28Speaker 5: a guy that was below me at like one twenty
- 50:30Speaker 5: six or one twenty eight, and he was better than me.
- 50:33Speaker 5: And so the next available weight class was one thirty four,
- 50:36Speaker 5: which is that's what I normally weighed when I was fifteen.
- 50:39Speaker 5: So I just wrestled at one thirty four.
- 50:41Speaker 4: That's lovely.
- 50:42Speaker 5: Yeah, I could have been in there with a nineteen
- 50:44Speaker 5: year old fucking animal who weighs a buck sixty and
- 50:48Speaker 5: drives himself out briefly to hit one thirty four. And
- 50:51Speaker 5: there was guys like that. Man. You would see them
- 50:53Speaker 5: at like the States and you go, what the fuck? Yeah,
- 50:56Speaker 5: And they were going to camps. So they were wrestling
- 50:58Speaker 5: three hundred and sixty five days a year, all year long.
- 51:01Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I just started. I didn't know anything same.
- 51:04Speaker 4: I started as a freshman in high school and got
- 51:06Speaker 4: fucked up.
- 51:08Speaker 5: I didn't even start as a freshman. I started as
- 51:09Speaker 5: a sophomore. I started as a sophomore because some kid
- 51:13Speaker 5: kicked my ass in the locker room. So some kid
- 51:15Speaker 5: crabby in the headlocked and threw me to the ground
- 51:17Speaker 5: and didn't punch me. You could have punched me, decided
- 51:19Speaker 5: not to. But I was so humiliated. I was like,
- 51:21Speaker 5: oh my god, I need to learn how to wrestle.
- 51:24Speaker 5: And then I also wrestled in the park, like in
- 51:26Speaker 5: the grass with my friend Steven, and I thought i'd
- 51:29Speaker 5: be I was a good athlete. I was doing karate.
- 51:31Speaker 5: I was like, you can't take me down. He shook
- 51:32Speaker 5: me down instantly. I was like, oh no, this is terrible.
- 51:36Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a whole different beast.
- 51:38Speaker 5: It's also like how tired you get. I remember thinking
- 51:42Speaker 5: I used to think that I had worked out before that,
- 51:44Speaker 5: because I had, you know, taken karate classes and done
- 51:47Speaker 5: some taekwondo. I thought i'd worked out. YEA, you don't
- 51:49Speaker 5: even know what working out is until you go through
- 51:51Speaker 5: a wrestling practice. We're running stairs, what what we're carrying
- 51:56Speaker 5: guys around the wrestling room. You pick up your partner,
- 51:59Speaker 5: your training partner. You have the fireman carry them around
- 52:01Speaker 5: the fucking room. Oh Jesus Christ, didn't you doing push
- 52:05Speaker 5: ups and sit ups? Ta puke? And then you're doing
- 52:07Speaker 5: live drills, fuck NonStop dude animals.
- 52:12Speaker 4: Yeah, we would rotate.
- 52:14Speaker 5: Uh.
- 52:14Speaker 4: You know, there's all those different weight classes and just
- 52:17Speaker 4: for shits and giggles.
- 52:18Speaker 5: You know.
- 52:19Speaker 4: One of the drills was, you know, escape from the
- 52:21Speaker 4: next guy. All right, whistleblows. Escape you're on bottom, you
- 52:25Speaker 4: have to get out the next guy. So sometimes I
- 52:28Speaker 4: at a one oh three weight class, I would have
- 52:31Speaker 4: Hugh Frost, who was I think two thirty five, two
- 52:35Speaker 4: forty five, two fifty oh yeah, just for one drill.
- 52:39Speaker 4: And it's a fucking joke. It's a pancake, and he
- 52:41Speaker 4: would probably he was probably showing mercy at the time, obviously,
- 52:45Speaker 4: but not really because he doesn't want to He doesn't
- 52:47Speaker 4: want to let this little fucking shithead one oh three
- 52:50Speaker 4: out from under him. So he's you know, putting enough
- 52:52Speaker 4: pressure to keep everybody there, not to mention the one
- 52:56Speaker 4: sixty five freak of nature made of muscle in the
- 52:58Speaker 4: one eighty five. You know, it was just a drill,
- 53:01Speaker 4: but reality hits hard. That's how you see the difference
- 53:05Speaker 4: between fifteen and seventeen and all that.
- 53:08Speaker 5: And someone who actually really knows how to wrestle and
- 53:10Speaker 5: just wrestler strength. Like I always tell people, if you
- 53:13Speaker 5: want to look at MMA like, what is the most
- 53:16Speaker 5: important skill, The foundation is wrestling. The foundation if you
- 53:20Speaker 5: wanted your kid to be a badass fighter, Like my
- 53:23Speaker 5: kid really loves fighting. He thinks he wants to do it,
- 53:25Speaker 5: but I want to prepare him, right, which I do.
- 53:27Speaker 5: Teach him how to wrestle. Get that kid into a
- 53:30Speaker 5: really good wrestling program, because if you have advanced wrestling,
- 53:33Speaker 5: you look at how it shuts down so many fighters,
- 53:36Speaker 5: Like look at what Hamza did to Didrek, his dupless Hamza.
- 53:41Speaker 5: He just ragged all them. His wrestling is at such
- 53:44Speaker 5: a high level. And drekis who was a world champion,
- 53:46Speaker 5: couldn't do shit to stop it. He just dragged him
- 53:49Speaker 5: to the ground any time he wanted to, got him
- 53:51Speaker 5: at a crucifix, like three.
- 53:52Speaker 4: Times Morob against still Malley.
- 53:55Speaker 5: I need exactly exactly.
- 53:57Speaker 4: We're watching a guy that doesn't know no, look right
- 54:01Speaker 4: hand knockout punch into a salute. No, look at his
- 54:04Speaker 4: opponent right get I mean it's just impossible. It appears impossible.
- 54:11Speaker 4: And every Kabebe fight, the thing I always think about
- 54:15Speaker 4: first when I think about Kabebe fighting is him being
- 54:18Speaker 4: on top and having his feet under the other dude's feet,
- 54:21Speaker 4: which is just that's it. It's the final level. When
- 54:24Speaker 4: you can't even begin the process of posturing out in
- 54:30Speaker 4: any way. You are nothing. You are a tissue in
- 54:33Speaker 4: an octagon with a man.
- 54:34Speaker 5: And he's wailing on your face. He's wailing on your face,
- 54:38Speaker 5: and he has your legs triangled underneath his legs.
- 54:41Speaker 4: It's always funny when UFC or when casual UFC fans
- 54:47Speaker 4: don't understand those little things like that that aren't even
- 54:50Speaker 4: part of the fight. They're looking up here waiting to
- 54:53Speaker 4: see if the punches are going to rain down. But
- 54:56Speaker 4: the positioning of his feet is what I'm always looking
- 54:59Speaker 4: at and how scary it can be here. But he
- 55:03Speaker 4: was not even doing it right.
- 55:04Speaker 5: As hell here.
- 55:06Speaker 4: That leg being brown is it's all the weight, nothing
- 55:10Speaker 4: we can do. There's just nowhere to go and all
- 55:14Speaker 4: that weight on those hips. People don't realize, like I
- 55:17Speaker 4: notice immediately if I ever see somebody that's kind of
- 55:20Speaker 4: on top and their knees are on the ground. Like
- 55:22Speaker 4: if you look, his right knee isn't on the ground,
- 55:25Speaker 4: it looks like it might be like.
- 55:27Speaker 5: Keeps slamming those left hands into Johnson's head. I mean
- 55:30Speaker 5: he got hit with like fifteen twenty unanswered full force
- 55:34Speaker 5: left hand blows. Bro He's horrible. He was horrible, so
- 55:38Speaker 5: good kuld Be was so good, and he would do
- 55:41Speaker 5: this to world class fighters. Man. And by the way,
- 55:43Speaker 5: Johnson clipped him in that fight too. It was one
- 55:45Speaker 5: of the few times in his career where he got clipped.
- 55:50Speaker 2: Yeah, man, that looked really frustrated. Who's the one that
- 55:53Speaker 2: looks super.
- 55:53Speaker 5: Frustrated in that Barbozo I'm asking.
- 55:56Speaker 2: I don't remember who it was.
- 55:57Speaker 5: Barbozo was one of them, but I mean a lot
- 55:59Speaker 5: of guys are fuck uld Be look frustrated because there's
- 56:01Speaker 5: not a damn thing they could do. Barboza was like
- 56:03Speaker 5: early in the first round he had that thousand yards
- 56:05Speaker 5: stare was like, fuck, like I have to go through
- 56:08Speaker 5: three rounds of this where they just give up on
- 56:10Speaker 5: the idea that they could even win, Like all you're
- 56:12Speaker 5: doing is trying to survive. Yeah, he was a monster dude.
- 56:17Speaker 4: Like that his leg being trapped is nuts and it looks
- 56:21Speaker 4: how he's scooting with.
- 56:23Speaker 5: It and he's just slamming punches and they get up.
- 56:25Speaker 5: He's just chasing you. But if you get up, he's
- 56:30Speaker 5: chase you and drag you to the ground. A yeah,
- 56:31Speaker 5: So you blew all that energy to get up. The
- 56:34Speaker 5: moment you tried to punch or throw a kick, he's
- 56:36Speaker 5: on you. You're on your back again. Punch to the face,
- 56:39Speaker 5: punch to the face. Yeah, Wrestling's giant. It is the
- 56:43Speaker 5: the biggest skill you have to know how to do
- 56:46Speaker 5: everything else too. Nowadays because all these kids that like
- 56:49Speaker 5: you see in the Contender series, these young guys coming up, man,
- 56:52Speaker 5: they're all so fucking talented. He tried to wheel kick him.
- 56:57Speaker 4: And really, more than anything, I feel like wrestling, being
- 57:01Speaker 4: out wrestled and being just trapped on the ground is
- 57:03Speaker 4: so psychologically demoralizing when you've been training for a UFC
- 57:07Speaker 4: fight and the crowd is out there and the lights
- 57:10Speaker 4: are on you, and you see the logos on the
- 57:11Speaker 4: mat because you're facing it.
- 57:13Speaker 5: Back that up a little bit. Let me show you
- 57:14Speaker 5: something here too, What's what's interesting here? Before that before
- 57:17Speaker 5: the clinch, So after he throws the wheel kick, like
- 57:20Speaker 5: Barbos is trying to win, right, this is the third round.
- 57:23Speaker 5: He's trying to win, and he throws his wat But look, now,
- 57:26Speaker 5: go before that when he throws the kick. Here it
- 57:30Speaker 5: is so he throws the kick and misses. He's so
- 57:32Speaker 5: tired now that when Kabe moves for him, he clinches.
- 57:35Speaker 5: Look he instigated the clinch instead of pushing away, instead
- 57:39Speaker 5: of circling to his left. He clinched because he's so tired. Dude,
- 57:43Speaker 5: he's so tired. And this dude, just look at that face.
- 57:46Speaker 5: He just drags him down to the ground again to hell.
- 57:49Speaker 4: Two on one on that arm underneath him. I mean,
- 57:52Speaker 4: lady's being thrown in. He doesn't know what to do
- 57:55Speaker 4: with his legs. He actually just put his foot above
- 57:57Speaker 4: k because it's so confusing, all that weight on you.
- 58:01Speaker 4: You don't know where to even begin to start getting up.
- 58:05Speaker 5: Well, he's the first thing he's got to do is
- 58:06Speaker 5: get that left leg for you. And he's not gonna
- 58:09Speaker 5: the yeah crawling things. He was a monster, he was
- 58:12Speaker 5: a monster and retired undefeated.
- 58:15Speaker 4: Yeah, and there's something to being on that Matt not
- 58:18Speaker 4: being able to move knowing that the clock is ticking
- 58:21Speaker 4: and this is not how you picture this going.
- 58:24Speaker 5: Not only that, this is with the current rules where
- 58:27Speaker 5: I think there should be no stand ups. I think
- 58:30Speaker 5: the only time there should be a stand up is
- 58:31Speaker 5: when there's a foul.
- 58:32Speaker 4: Yeah. I can completely agree with you. I hate it
- 58:35Speaker 4: when they stand.
- 58:35Speaker 5: People up, even if it's boring. Yeah, I get it's boring.
- 58:38Speaker 5: But the guy can't get up and this guy's holding
- 58:40Speaker 5: him down, so he's winning. He's winning. See, I know
- 58:43Speaker 5: he's not doing enough. What does that mean he's biding
- 58:46Speaker 5: his time. You've got to let a guy have strategy,
- 58:49Speaker 5: like my Muhammad Ali did rope a dope against George Foreman.
- 58:53Speaker 5: Imagine if the referee is like, you've got to punch back.
- 58:55Speaker 5: If you don't punch back, No, he's got a strategy.
- 58:58Speaker 5: Strategy is let George Foreman himself out and then eventually
- 59:02Speaker 5: tee off on him. And that's what he did.
- 59:03Speaker 4: Yeah, it stinks that referees can let the crowd get
- 59:07Speaker 4: in their head.
- 59:08Speaker 5: Well, it's the the organization wants action to the fans
- 59:12Speaker 5: want action. A lot of people disagree with me, and
- 59:15Speaker 5: I understand their point. I understand their point, especially if
- 59:17Speaker 5: you're a casual, A good get them up mere coomployed.
- 59:21Speaker 5: You don't want to fight, you want a hug boom?
- 59:25Speaker 5: So what so what? This is the sport? And if
- 59:27Speaker 5: that guy who's on top, who's biding his time and recovering,
- 59:31Speaker 5: then decides, Okay, now's the time let me start dropping
- 59:34Speaker 5: some bombs because I've recovered. Good. Well, he held the
- 59:38Speaker 5: position and he recovered his energy, and now he's winning. Like,
- 59:43Speaker 5: let him fucking fight, Let him fight. Get out of there,
- 59:46Speaker 5: Get out of there. There shouldn't be stand ups.
- 59:49Speaker 4: And I get it. The referee gets that cheer from
- 59:52Speaker 4: the crowd, you know, if that's rewarding.
- 59:55Speaker 5: Sometimes when they stand fights up, I get excited.
- 59:57Speaker 4: Yeah, I go yeah, yeah, but striker has a chance.
- 1:00:01Speaker 5: But my position is still the same. I don't think
- 1:00:03Speaker 5: they should stand him up. I'm worse than that. I
- 1:00:05Speaker 5: think they should start each round where they lost the
- 1:00:08Speaker 5: last round.
- 1:00:09Speaker 4: Oh I love that.
- 1:00:10Speaker 5: Yeah, that's great. So every round, why do you get
- 1:00:12Speaker 5: to stand up? Why do you get that advantage the
- 1:00:14Speaker 5: striker gets of standing up when you didn't earn it.
- 1:00:17Speaker 5: Get back down there, yeah, get back down there. Crucifix.
- 1:00:20Speaker 5: Glad you have to start the round up in a crucifix. Yeah,
- 1:00:23Speaker 5: that's how the round ended, they look at the big screen,
- 1:00:26Speaker 5: get a freeze frame of the position. Referee sets you
- 1:00:29Speaker 5: in the exact position, and it says ready fight.
- 1:00:32Speaker 4: Yeah, I love that.
- 1:00:34Speaker 5: Get fuck off. That's what the sport is supposed to be,
- 1:00:38Speaker 5: and sometimes it's going to be boring. Yeah, but that's real.
- 1:00:41Speaker 4: Though.
- 1:00:42Speaker 5: At least it's real because there's been a lot of
- 1:00:44Speaker 5: fights where the guy got taken down in the first round,
- 1:00:47Speaker 5: starts out the second round and blast the guy and
- 1:00:48Speaker 5: knocks him out, and it's like, Okay, it's exciting to watch,
- 1:00:52Speaker 5: but he didn't earn that position. He just got that
- 1:00:54Speaker 5: position because the other guy survived the first round. And
- 1:00:57Speaker 5: so it's like, it's one fight, it's not five fights, right,
- 1:01:01Speaker 5: So I think it should be one continuous fight with
- 1:01:03Speaker 5: a one minute break in each round. Yeah.
- 1:01:06Speaker 4: That'd be like if the team losing automatically got the
- 1:01:08Speaker 4: kickoff after halftime or something like that.
- 1:01:12Speaker 5: Yeah. And look, guaranteed, if I was running, the UFC
- 1:01:15Speaker 5: would probably go bankrupt. I'm not the right guy, know
- 1:01:18Speaker 5: what the fuck I'm talking about. I'd be a terrible promoter.
- 1:01:22Speaker 5: I'd be too honest about stuff, and I'd want to
- 1:01:24Speaker 5: give people fights that maybe they weren't the most exciting fighters,
- 1:01:28Speaker 5: but they were above the other person in the rankings.
- 1:01:31Speaker 5: I think the rankings should be the whole reason why
- 1:01:34Speaker 5: you make fights.
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: Sammy Zane won the Universal WWE Championship over this week
- 1:01:40Speaker 4: ended a big pay per view.
- 1:01:42Speaker 5: I have no idea who that is, but I'm happy
- 1:01:43Speaker 5: for him.
- 1:01:44Speaker 4: Shocked Cody Rhodes, who was like a guaranteed win.
- 1:01:48Speaker 5: I wonder what happened rolled them.
- 1:01:50Speaker 4: Up real quick?
- 1:01:51Speaker 5: Do you think maybe that was fixed?
- 1:01:52Speaker 4: Well, it's very entertaining, very entertaining.
- 1:01:57Speaker 5: I'm sure it was. I just don't understand how you
- 1:01:59Speaker 5: go back and forth. Oh, it's the best, I know,
- 1:02:01Speaker 5: you love it.
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: Well sometimes That's what I said about this White House card,
- 1:02:06Speaker 4: by the way, is like there's nothing that could have
- 1:02:10Speaker 4: happened that they could have written. If it was written,
- 1:02:15Speaker 4: that would have made it more exciting. Right, it felt
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: real the whole time, and the fights that happened before
- 1:02:21Speaker 4: made it feel like anything could happen in that main event,
- 1:02:24Speaker 4: Like it just felt raw and real, but also storyline,
- 1:02:30Speaker 4: which then when UFC is at its best like that,
- 1:02:33Speaker 4: it's like the WWE, that's what's interesting. Of course, it's
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: not as you know at exactly.
- 1:02:42Speaker 5: But it is it was a special moment, you know,
- 1:02:46Speaker 5: regardless of how you feel politically, And I understand it
- 1:02:49Speaker 5: if you're if you hate the Republicans and you hate
- 1:02:52Speaker 5: the whole idea, I get it. But just as a
- 1:02:55Speaker 5: person who loves a sport, it was a very unusual experience,
- 1:03:00Speaker 5: very unusual, and just I think people have to just
- 1:03:03Speaker 5: look at some things that way. You know, some people
- 1:03:05Speaker 5: have a really hard time separating themselves politically because they're going, oh, no,
- 1:03:08Speaker 5: that the White House puts on this thing. There's all
- 1:03:11Speaker 5: this bad press because of the war, there's bad press
- 1:03:14Speaker 5: because of this and that, and they put on this
- 1:03:16Speaker 5: thing at the White House, and it's sort of like
- 1:03:19Speaker 5: Maga washes everything, you know what I mean, Yeah, makes
- 1:03:21Speaker 5: everybody like them again, gives them positive press, which undeniable, undeniable,
- 1:03:27Speaker 5: It gave them positive press. I mean, the amount of
- 1:03:30Speaker 5: people that have seen is nuts. You know, I think
- 1:03:33Speaker 5: just on Paramount it's something like thirty something million now,
- 1:03:37Speaker 5: and you know, they were telling me that they thought
- 1:03:39Speaker 5: it was probably one hundred and fifty million. People had
- 1:03:42Speaker 5: watched it in some form, which was you know, TikTok clips,
- 1:03:46Speaker 5: Instagram YouTube that is a nutty number, man, And I
- 1:03:51Speaker 5: think Dana and Hunter they were thinking you could get
- 1:03:53Speaker 5: to like a billion people see it, which is just
- 1:03:56Speaker 5: nuts in some form, you know, highlight reels clips, I
- 1:04:00Speaker 5: mean just the Gatechee fight alone, just the highlight reels.
- 1:04:02Speaker 5: How many people watch those on Instagram and TikTok and
- 1:04:05Speaker 5: totally the awareness of the event, of the moment was
- 1:04:08Speaker 5: so huge. It was like nothing else, Like it didn't
- 1:04:11Speaker 5: feel like any other event we had ever been. Like,
- 1:04:14Speaker 5: I was nervous before it started. Yeah, I could never
- 1:04:16Speaker 5: get nervous for the UFC. I get excited, but I
- 1:04:18Speaker 5: was like legitimately nervous. I was like I was feeling like, oh,
- 1:04:21Speaker 5: like this is crazy, Like we're on the White House lawn.
- 1:04:25Speaker 4: The flyover is when it really hit.
- 1:04:28Speaker 5: Yeah, well, when they had all those jets together and
- 1:04:30Speaker 5: they're so close to each other. Yeah, like a manage
- 1:04:32Speaker 5: of one of those fucking clips under their wing and
- 1:04:34Speaker 5: spirals right into your lips.
- 1:04:36Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, crazy, what a spectacle.
- 1:04:41Speaker 5: Yeah, they would have definitely canceled the fights because think
- 1:04:44Speaker 5: they canceled the White House Correspondence dinner because of that
- 1:04:47Speaker 5: assassination attack.
- 1:04:48Speaker 4: Damn it.
- 1:04:48Speaker 5: Oh you had a bunch of bangers on that I heard.
- 1:04:51Speaker 4: Yeah, so annoying. I was more excited for that than
- 1:04:54Speaker 4: like anything.
- 1:04:56Speaker 5: How they just cancel it? Why didn't they reschedule it?
- 1:04:59Speaker 5: Maybe they're going to wait until the ballroom's finished, because
- 1:05:02Speaker 5: that's the argument for the ballroom, that they could have
- 1:05:04Speaker 5: it at a place like that where it's completely secured. Yeah,
- 1:05:08Speaker 5: Kurt Mascar thinks the whole thing's fake. Uh fakes attempts. Yea.
- 1:05:14Speaker 5: How that guy got in there? Well, I think some
- 1:05:17Speaker 5: people are just incompetent. There's incompetence, there's bad security. There's
- 1:05:22Speaker 5: people that don't do their job. There's also people that
- 1:05:25Speaker 5: you didn't expect to be a problem and were a
- 1:05:27Speaker 5: problem and you're in a hotel.
- 1:05:30Speaker 4: Also, the guy made it to the first level of
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: the first scanning of security. It's not like he made
- 1:05:38Speaker 4: it into the thing.
- 1:05:39Speaker 5: But he did shoot somebody, right, I think he shot
- 1:05:42Speaker 5: one of the Secret Service agents in his bulletproof best. Yeah,
- 1:05:46Speaker 5: is that true, Jamie?
- 1:05:47Speaker 4: I think so.
- 1:05:48Speaker 5: See, there were so many stories online. It's so hard
- 1:05:50Speaker 5: to know what was true and what was not. But
- 1:05:52Speaker 5: I think the guy was a teacher, like a substitute teacher.
- 1:05:57Speaker 4: Nuts. It's all nuts, and it's.
- 1:05:59Speaker 5: Like, man, you didn't think this out and scheduled it
- 1:06:02Speaker 5: for July twenty fourth.
- 1:06:03Speaker 4: Holl okay, the Correspondence dinner. Wow, it's honest, son.
- 1:06:09Speaker 5: You might want to polish up some of them bits.
- 1:06:11Speaker 4: Yeah, it's gonna be some new stuff.
- 1:06:13Speaker 5: That tag some of them with some current events. Where
- 1:06:16Speaker 5: are they going to have it?
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: Oh?
- 1:06:18Speaker 5: Sorry, if they have it at the same spot, that's
- 1:06:23Speaker 5: not smart.
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: New event held July twenty four.
- 1:06:30Speaker 5: Is that the Pentagon?
- 1:06:32Speaker 4: They might wait, they might wait to release that.
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: Yeah, it's not saying oh, Waldolpher, she'd meet Waldorf Astoria.
- 1:06:42Speaker 5: Oh okay, Well, I guarantee you they'll tighten that bitch
- 1:06:47Speaker 5: up a little bit.
- 1:06:47Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I know. He was excited to do the jokes.
- 1:06:52Speaker 5: Oh yeah, yeah, no, he was. He was very pumped.
- 1:06:55Speaker 4: Yeah, they were bangers. I ran him because the thing,
- 1:06:59Speaker 4: ha ha, I happened to be performing at the Kennedy
- 1:07:02Speaker 4: Center that weekend. The next weekend, so I ran the jokes,
- 1:07:08Speaker 4: and I realized that I had Adam Ray as a
- 1:07:11Speaker 4: special guest that was on before me. He brought me
- 1:07:13Speaker 4: on stage, so I go, you know what, Even I
- 1:07:18Speaker 4: wrote jokes for the President of the United States to
- 1:07:20Speaker 4: make fun of the press and everybody at the White
- 1:07:22Speaker 4: House correspondence dinner. But I just realized, Adam's here, Adam,
- 1:07:25Speaker 4: you want to come out and read these in Trump's voice,
- 1:07:28Speaker 4: And so he was seeing the jokes for the first
- 1:07:30Speaker 4: time as leading and we had so much fun.
- 1:07:34Speaker 5: I didn't know he does a Trump, which doesn't surprise me.
- 1:07:36Speaker 5: I mean, his impressions are insane.
- 1:07:38Speaker 4: He can do anything.
- 1:07:39Speaker 5: Yeah, he could do anything.
- 1:07:40Speaker 4: He didn't even he did. He was dabbling in a
- 1:07:42Speaker 4: Biden the week that I hit him up to do
- 1:07:45Speaker 4: Trump Biden, which I think is a fucking guy. I
- 1:07:48Speaker 4: think it's like forty million or seven some crazy amount.
- 1:07:52Speaker 4: And again, just like the UFC, God only knows after clips.
- 1:07:56Speaker 4: But it was a monumental comedy fucking moment having Shane
- 1:07:59Speaker 4: Is right before the election, Adam is Biden right before
- 1:08:03Speaker 4: the election, right after their first debate, where Biden was
- 1:08:06Speaker 4: clearly fucking zonged and sleepy, and I just couldn't compete
- 1:08:10Speaker 4: at all. And so I hit up Adam via text.
- 1:08:15Speaker 4: I'm like, do you have a Biden? He's like, I
- 1:08:17Speaker 4: cover it for five seconds, and in my stand up
- 1:08:21Speaker 4: I'm like, uh, are you free? On Monday to fly
- 1:08:24Speaker 4: to Austin and do Biden if I can get Shane
- 1:08:27Speaker 4: as Trump. And I remember telling Shane like, I'm like,
- 1:08:30Speaker 4: this is gonna be an interesting ask h. But I
- 1:08:34Speaker 4: you know, I'm just like, hey, Adam's got a Biden
- 1:08:37Speaker 4: and Shane's like, I have something to do on Monday.
- 1:08:39Speaker 4: I'm canceling it. I'm doing Trump. He immediately saw the brilliance.
- 1:08:43Speaker 4: It was just such a hot topic at the time,
- 1:08:46Speaker 4: and my god, it was fucking crazy. There's clips that
- 1:08:49Speaker 4: I see of that episode and I never rewatch Kill
- 1:08:52Speaker 4: Tony's or anything. I'll see clips sometimes and I literally go,
- 1:08:57Speaker 4: oh my god, Holy fucking shit. There's one part where
- 1:09:00Speaker 4: Trump goes, how many more retards are you gonna bring out?
- 1:09:04Speaker 5: Here?
- 1:09:04Speaker 4: Has there been like two handicapped people on this show?
- 1:09:07Speaker 5: All right?
- 1:09:07Speaker 4: How many more retards you have come? As I'm pulling
- 1:09:10Speaker 4: a name out of the bucket in real time, I goes,
- 1:09:12Speaker 4: anything can happen, mister President. Let's see if what the
- 1:09:15Speaker 4: next guy's like. And he comes out and he has
- 1:09:17Speaker 4: like these weird deformed penguin arms. Oh, and you see
- 1:09:21Speaker 4: Shane as Trump, and the crowd's dying because they see
- 1:09:25Speaker 4: him first, and you see Shane as Trump looking go fuck,
- 1:09:30Speaker 4: it's just one of his His facial reactions to things
- 1:09:34Speaker 4: are like his greatest secret, fucking hilarious weapon. And when
- 1:09:38Speaker 4: he's Trump, it's even amplified. It's like, in my opinion,
- 1:09:41Speaker 4: ten or twenty percent funnier than even Shane is. I mean,
- 1:09:44Speaker 4: I'm sure he'd admit to this and know it because
- 1:09:46Speaker 4: Trump is just such an interesting, polarizing character, and his
- 1:09:49Speaker 4: take on him is so fucking funny, it's psychotic.
- 1:09:52Speaker 5: His impressions so good. It's the greatest Trump impression of
- 1:09:55Speaker 5: ball time, because it's like the jokes are so good.
- 1:09:58Speaker 5: Oh by far, he's so what's funny?
- 1:10:00Speaker 4: J soppy?
- 1:10:03Speaker 5: Back it up a little bit.
- 1:10:05Speaker 4: Watch another fun appearance by Nicks.
- 1:10:08Speaker 5: This is the best, All right, Tony? How many more
- 1:10:14Speaker 5: retarded guys? Yeah? Anything gonna as crowd hungry for more
- 1:10:19Speaker 5: retarded guys. Frankly, I don't think we've seen enough retarded guys.
- 1:10:23Speaker 5: How about a retarded racist? Would you like to see?
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: This?
- 1:10:27Speaker 4: Next person could be one. I pulled it out of
- 1:10:29Speaker 4: the bucket. It is the kill Tony debut. I do
- 1:10:32Speaker 4: believe of Jacob Bar. Everybody Jacob Bar.
- 1:10:37Speaker 5: Oh wow, wow, wo oh my god. Okay, here what
- 1:10:46Speaker 5: you for?
- 1:10:49Speaker 4: Okay, hold on, we're gonna reset this, Jacob. What's funny
- 1:10:53Speaker 4: is is Adam knows better than anybody that you're not
- 1:10:56Speaker 4: supposed to say anything after the bucket pull comes up,
- 1:10:59Speaker 4: So me grabbing the mic out of his hand and
- 1:11:01Speaker 4: putting it down is even another layer of hilarious to
- 1:11:05Speaker 4: all of us. It's like Biden's misbehaving. I don't know,
- 1:11:09Speaker 4: did you see Shane's face when he notices his hands?
- 1:11:13Speaker 5: This is it? Look? And then.
- 1:11:22Speaker 4: Jackie, oh yeah, without a death plus plus man, he's
- 1:11:27Speaker 4: the great one. He's what people don't realize I mean obviously,
- 1:11:32Speaker 4: is that he is that funny all the fucking time,
- 1:11:38Speaker 4: hanging out in the green room, every bar, every restaurant,
- 1:11:42Speaker 4: every green room, every every stairway, fucking anywhere. Everything. He
- 1:11:47Speaker 4: I always compare it to Mike Tyson in his prime.
- 1:11:50Speaker 4: He just hits harder and different, doing the smallest little things,
- 1:11:54Speaker 4: even if it's a face. If somebody says something and
- 1:11:56Speaker 4: he just like reacts to it, it's crazy.
- 1:11:59Speaker 5: It's also always fun. He's a fun guy, like he
- 1:12:01Speaker 5: wants to have fun, like even when he's cracking jokes,
- 1:12:05Speaker 5: it's fun. Well, I know, he was very reluctant to
- 1:12:07Speaker 5: do the roast. You know, he's a little reluctant to
- 1:12:10Speaker 5: even host that, Like I don't don't want to do
- 1:12:12Speaker 5: those things. Yeah, you know, but.
- 1:12:16Speaker 4: Well everything is, you know, everything could be something. He
- 1:12:19Speaker 4: crushed so hard it caused a real ruckus him and
- 1:12:23Speaker 4: I endcapping that thing, you know what I mean. Yeah,
- 1:12:26Speaker 4: it was supposed to be a you know, this roast
- 1:12:29Speaker 4: of black excellence, and me and Shane are just fucking
- 1:12:32Speaker 4: having the time of our lives.
- 1:12:34Speaker 5: He got the who said it was a roast of
- 1:12:35Speaker 5: black excellence? You're just saying that because it was Kevin Hart.
- 1:12:38Speaker 4: Well yeah, that's that's like that was.
- 1:12:40Speaker 5: It wasn't like explicitly stated or anything, right, because imagine
- 1:12:45Speaker 5: if you said that we're gonna have a roast of white.
- 1:12:47Speaker 4: Excellence, right exactly.
- 1:12:49Speaker 5: Crazy. Oh yeah, it's weird you can and can't say,
- 1:12:53Speaker 5: oh yeah, that was weird.
- 1:12:54Speaker 4: Oh yeah, you know, yeah, that's a whole thing with that.
- 1:12:57Speaker 4: I mean, you can't talk about this, but we talk
- 1:13:01Speaker 4: about that.
- 1:13:01Speaker 5: Well, it's just weird what we accept, which doesn't bother
- 1:13:05Speaker 5: me at all. But like Kane Velaskeez. When he fought
- 1:13:07Speaker 5: in the UFC, he set brown Pride tattooed on his chest. Cool.
- 1:13:12Speaker 5: His family came over from Mexico. They literally walked here. Yeah,
- 1:13:16Speaker 5: white pride not so popular. White pride on your chest,
- 1:13:21Speaker 5: you know. Fucking Sean Strickland just decided to get white pride.
- 1:13:26Speaker 5: And he posted a picture on Instagram with him as
- 1:13:29Speaker 5: a world champion with white pride on his chest next
- 1:13:32Speaker 5: to Kane Velasquez as a world champion with brown pride
- 1:13:35Speaker 5: on his chest. And people would lose their fucking minds. Yes,
- 1:13:41Speaker 5: and again, not saying that Shawn would ever put white
- 1:13:44Speaker 5: pride on his chest.
- 1:13:45Speaker 4: He would. No, he would. I follow himoos, I follow
- 1:13:49Speaker 4: him on Twitter?
- 1:13:49Speaker 5: He would. He's a wild boy. He even he showed up.
- 1:13:53Speaker 5: He showed up at the UFC, even though he was banned.
- 1:13:55Speaker 5: He showed up and the arrested him. Yeah, they kicked
- 1:14:00Speaker 5: him out. He's the world champion. There's a UFC event
- 1:14:05Speaker 5: at the White House at the time before justin Wan,
- 1:14:07Speaker 5: he was the only American world champion. And then like
- 1:14:12Speaker 5: you can't come, yeah, because you talk too much shit
- 1:14:15Speaker 5: about Israel.
- 1:14:16Speaker 4: He's a wild boy, but that's wild.
- 1:14:19Speaker 5: That your criticism about Israel is what keeps you from
- 1:14:23Speaker 5: going to the White House as a world champion? In
- 1:14:27Speaker 5: a world title fights at the White House, Yeah, like
- 1:14:30Speaker 5: you were thinking you would want to celebrate the American
- 1:14:33Speaker 5: male world champion. I think he said some other stuff
- 1:14:36Speaker 5: too though, some Epstein stuff there. Yeah, he's a wild boy. Yeah,
- 1:14:41Speaker 5: I think he's I told him when he retires from fighting,
- 1:14:44Speaker 5: he onol do a podcast, and he was like, I,
- 1:14:46Speaker 5: you know, I seeing these guys doing these streamers and like,
- 1:14:51Speaker 5: you don't have to do that. You don't have to
- 1:14:53Speaker 5: do it that way. He's like, I couldn't do that
- 1:14:55Speaker 5: just sit there every day and talk to people. I
- 1:14:57Speaker 5: I'd lose my fucking mind. I'm like, right, you don't
- 1:15:00Speaker 5: have to do that, just your opinions on things. So
- 1:15:02Speaker 5: he's an awesome podcast guest, you know, like he could
- 1:15:06Speaker 5: totally totally do that, just talk about stuff. And also
- 1:15:11Speaker 5: Sean when he lets the whole shtick down and just
- 1:15:15Speaker 5: gives you his opinions on things. Very smart guy. Yeah,
- 1:15:18Speaker 5: he's not stupid at all, and he would get better
- 1:15:21Speaker 5: at it, you know, as he did it more. He
- 1:15:23Speaker 5: easily could do a podcast.
- 1:15:27Speaker 4: Yeah, he's entertaining as fuck.
- 1:15:28Speaker 5: I just can't believe they kicked him out of the
- 1:15:30Speaker 5: White House and that is they kicked him out of
- 1:15:32Speaker 5: the ellipse that area. I think there's a video of it,
- 1:15:35Speaker 5: so he can find the video of it. He's like, sorry, guys,
- 1:15:38Speaker 5: like they got like fucking six six cops and bulletproof vests.
- 1:15:41Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:15:41Speaker 4: I think there was like eighty five thousand people there,
- 1:15:44Speaker 4: So it's funny that they're like that one the champion.
- 1:15:48Speaker 5: It's just he wasn't supposed to be there. He's banned,
- 1:15:50Speaker 5: he was not invited or whatever. But even if you're
- 1:15:53Speaker 5: not invited, shouldn't you be able to go to the
- 1:15:55Speaker 5: fan area if you're the world champion, if you want
- 1:15:57Speaker 5: to be that wild with no security. And there's video
- 1:16:00Speaker 5: of him from the first night, from the Knight of
- 1:16:02Speaker 5: the Waynes where they found out that he was there.
- 1:16:04Speaker 5: It's amazing because he was wearing a hoodie the entire
- 1:16:07Speaker 5: time and someone told him's got to take off the
- 1:16:09Speaker 5: hoodie and he's like, I can't listen, it's gonna be
- 1:16:12Speaker 5: a problem. And as soon as he takes off the hoodie,
- 1:16:14Speaker 5: every let's fucking drunk, and then he's just surrounded by bros. Hilarious,
- 1:16:21Speaker 5: just getting hugged to death. He asked some dude. Some
- 1:16:24Speaker 5: dude asked him to like kick him. So Sean leg
- 1:16:26Speaker 5: kicks some kid. Crazy, Well, don't champion fucking kicking some kid?
- 1:16:33Speaker 5: What is this world coming to? It's him?
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: Is it?
- 1:16:39Speaker 5: Is there? Audio? This is crazy.
- 1:16:54Speaker 4: I like that we have some entertaining American.
- 1:16:57Speaker 5: Oh he's the most entertaining that Josh Hoke It hocket
- 1:17:02Speaker 5: Hoke it hoke it.
- 1:17:03Speaker 4: Yeah, my god, he is.
- 1:17:04Speaker 5: That was what was hilarious was people were so upset
- 1:17:08Speaker 5: that he said Michelle Obama's a man at the White House.
- 1:17:12Speaker 5: It's like that's what he's doing. He's doing it on purpose.
- 1:17:15Speaker 5: Like he's literally wearing an American flag bandana. He comes
- 1:17:18Speaker 5: out to a Hulk Hogan song, He's wearing sunglasses. Yeah
- 1:17:22Speaker 5: it's not appropriate, you're right, yeah, right. But he said
- 1:17:26Speaker 5: the exact same thing when I interviewed him somewhere else. Yeah,
- 1:17:30Speaker 5: he said, I'm pretty sure. He said Michelle Obama is
- 1:17:32Speaker 5: a man. Like last time I interviewed him.
- 1:17:34Speaker 4: That's what I heard is that it's not his first
- 1:17:36Speaker 4: rodeo at the Michelle Obamas man.
- 1:17:38Speaker 5: That's how he ends his interviews hilarious. He's trying to
- 1:17:43Speaker 5: get people to talk about him. Yep, you know it's
- 1:17:46Speaker 5: the whole thing is so crazy. But all of it
- 1:17:49Speaker 5: would be nothing if he couldn't fight exactly.
- 1:17:52Speaker 4: That's what That's where it's real exciting. Is the pre
- 1:17:55Speaker 4: fight stuff. I mean, the post fight interview pretty polarizing,
- 1:17:59Speaker 4: op because that was the news. But if you for
- 1:18:03Speaker 4: the real fans paying attention, you didn't get to see
- 1:18:06Speaker 4: him do that. Did I send it to you? The
- 1:18:08Speaker 4: kill Tony minute that he did at the press card,
- 1:18:11Speaker 4: Oh my god, so funny because he's like purposefully bombing.
- 1:18:15Speaker 4: So he's literally doing a joke. He says, you guys know,
- 1:18:18Speaker 4: Tony Hinchcliff, I'm gonna do my kill Tony minute, and
- 1:18:20Speaker 4: he's purposefully like bombing. It's corny, purposeful, bad jokes and
- 1:18:24Speaker 4: he's going man tough crowd, all right, let me let
- 1:18:27Speaker 4: me try this one. And it's like literally being hilarious
- 1:18:32Speaker 4: by strategically trying to be funny but not being funny.
- 1:18:37Speaker 4: You could tell that he was planning on nobody laughing,
- 1:18:39Speaker 4: but that it's set up punch and he's just fucking trying.
- 1:18:44Speaker 4: He's just trying to entertain which.
- 1:18:46Speaker 5: Is trolling, which controlling? He's getting attention and then the
- 1:18:51Speaker 5: most important thing, he can fight. Yeah, that dude's good.
- 1:18:54Speaker 5: He's fucking good man. He's fast as shit for a heavyweight.
- 1:18:58Speaker 5: He's very light on his feet, fast shit fast hands.
- 1:19:02Speaker 4: Yeah, so fun to watch.
- 1:19:03Speaker 5: And you know what's interesting is he talked a lot
- 1:19:06Speaker 5: of shit about Alex Pereira, and you know, I want
- 1:19:10Speaker 5: a shama on your mama or all that crazy shit.
- 1:19:13Speaker 5: Pereira losing to Cyril gone. If Pereira decides to fight again,
- 1:19:17Speaker 5: I don't know if he's gonna fight again. He might
- 1:19:19Speaker 5: be done. I think he said he might be done.
- 1:19:22Speaker 5: But I mean a lot of fighters say that after
- 1:19:24Speaker 5: a fight, and especially after a loss. Let him sit
- 1:19:26Speaker 5: around for a while. Then they come up with he's
- 1:19:29Speaker 5: not done. To back up the brinks truck. Get him
- 1:19:32Speaker 5: versus Josh hok Ith God as a co main event
- 1:19:36Speaker 5: on a fucking bang in New Year's Eve card.
- 1:19:38Speaker 4: Oh, let's go hook. It'll be making fun of his
- 1:19:41Speaker 4: head dress and his face making.
- 1:19:44Speaker 5: It would be insane. It would be insane. But you
- 1:19:47Speaker 5: know the thing is hok It's got to deal with
- 1:19:48Speaker 5: that guy. That's a different guy. That's not Derek Lewis.
- 1:19:52Speaker 5: I mean, if he continues to fight heavyweight, it is
- 1:19:55Speaker 5: interesting watching a guy who's been so dominant at eighty
- 1:19:59Speaker 5: five and two oh five with that all that extra
- 1:20:02Speaker 5: weight on. I don't know if that necessarily was the
- 1:20:05Speaker 5: right move, you know. I mean I think, like some
- 1:20:09Speaker 5: weight is probably good, but maybe even twenty pounds lighter,
- 1:20:12Speaker 5: like maybe two thirty something, maybe that would be a
- 1:20:15Speaker 5: better weight if he were want to fight at heavyweight,
- 1:20:16Speaker 5: because it seems like he was carrying I mean, just
- 1:20:19Speaker 5: your workout with a weight vest On.
- 1:20:21Speaker 4: Yeah, it's crazy.
- 1:20:22Speaker 5: Yeah, like a twenty five pound weight vest It's nuts,
- 1:20:25Speaker 5: how much harder everything is. So you got to realize
- 1:20:29Speaker 5: he had fought at one eighty five and he fought
- 1:20:31Speaker 5: at two oh five. That was what he weighed in at.
- 1:20:33Speaker 5: But let's be honest, at one eighty five, I think
- 1:20:38Speaker 5: he probably weighed two twenty something to twenty six. I
- 1:20:41Speaker 5: think it was fight night, which is nuts. It's forty
- 1:20:43Speaker 5: pounds difference, and at two oh five he probably got
- 1:20:46Speaker 5: into the two thirties, like two thirty five, two thirty six,
- 1:20:49Speaker 5: something like that, but still was not didn't look like
- 1:20:54Speaker 5: he looked at two fifty one fifty one. He looked
- 1:20:58Speaker 5: like he was carrying unnecessary weight, a little bit of
- 1:21:01Speaker 5: it at least. And if he was just like twenty
- 1:21:03Speaker 5: pounds lighter, he would still have that speed and movement.
- 1:21:06Speaker 5: But he's always had crazy knockout power. It might be
- 1:21:10Speaker 5: a better weight for it.
- 1:21:11Speaker 4: It just seemed like it was a lot of weight
- 1:21:13Speaker 4: yet on him, you know, and it all went to
- 1:21:15Speaker 4: his ass.
- 1:21:16Speaker 5: His ass was giant, fat ass, big fat ass.
- 1:21:18Speaker 4: You know me, you know that's all That's why I
- 1:21:21Speaker 4: watch UFC, and uh yeah, it was all there. It's
- 1:21:25Speaker 4: like a backpack.
- 1:21:26Speaker 5: Well, that's where all the power comes from, you know,
- 1:21:28Speaker 5: when you're pushing off your feet and you know, you're
- 1:21:31Speaker 5: pushing off those fucking quads and pushing into those glutes
- 1:21:34Speaker 5: and then torquing that body the way he does. Ferocious power. Dude,
- 1:21:38Speaker 5: But damn that Cyril Gon's good. Whoa yeah, yeah, Craze
- 1:21:43Speaker 5: so good, dude, And he's in his prime right now.
- 1:21:45Speaker 5: Cyril Gun is like really coming into his own. There's
- 1:21:48Speaker 5: no heavyweight like him, No one moves like him.
- 1:21:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:21:51Speaker 4: I was gonna say extremely accurate for a heavyweight, not.
- 1:21:54Speaker 5: Just accurate, agile, because we were talking about this the
- 1:21:57Speaker 5: other day, that basketball is a great player used to
- 1:22:00Speaker 5: start if you're a big athlete and you want to
- 1:22:02Speaker 5: learn combat sports, especially striking, because think about how many
- 1:22:07Speaker 5: direction changes basketball players take where they're always kind of
- 1:22:10Speaker 5: doing that, they're always spinning and moving. It's a series
- 1:22:13Speaker 5: of pliometrics. It's a series of hops and jumps like
- 1:22:16Speaker 5: Jordan's jump. The imagine if Jordan had a flying knee
- 1:22:20Speaker 5: right right, He's hit you with a flying knee for
- 1:22:24Speaker 5: fourteen feet away. What's that basket?
- 1:22:30Speaker 4: It's interesting because.
- 1:22:32Speaker 5: Oh, Cyril guns. Yeah, so he started out playing basketball.
- 1:22:36Speaker 4: Least where I come from. Basketball season in foot wrestling
- 1:22:39Speaker 4: season all right at the same time. So I wonder
- 1:22:42Speaker 4: what he was doing back then.
- 1:22:44Speaker 5: Well he's in France, right, So France is not a
- 1:22:46Speaker 5: wrestling in their high school or in their college, you know.
- 1:22:49Speaker 5: And he learned wrestling after he had become a really elite,
- 1:22:54Speaker 5: world class multi fighter. So he's got the grappling has
- 1:22:59Speaker 5: come up and big ways, Like his grappling's much better
- 1:23:02Speaker 5: than it used to be. But really primarily he's a striker.
- 1:23:05Speaker 5: And when John fought him, like John just got him
- 1:23:08Speaker 5: to the ground and submitted him like quickly. It's like
- 1:23:11Speaker 5: the difference I think in that fight was kind of
- 1:23:12Speaker 5: a big ass wake up call. And Francis beat him too.
- 1:23:15Speaker 5: So Francis beat him by just Francis just got a
- 1:23:19Speaker 5: hold of him and most of the fight was on
- 1:23:21Speaker 5: the ground, a giant chunk of it because Francis fought
- 1:23:24Speaker 5: that fight with a blown out ACL. Wow, defended his
- 1:23:28Speaker 5: world title with a blown out ACL had big ass
- 1:23:31Speaker 5: knee pads on. I know, Wobbly, asked me, But that's
- 1:23:34Speaker 5: how dangerous Francis is. Yeah, he could just win it
- 1:23:37Speaker 5: with grappling. It's a shame that he's on in the UFC.
- 1:23:41Speaker 5: It's a real shame. Yeah, because like that whole thing
- 1:23:45Speaker 5: was what drove everyone crazy about boxing. You know, it
- 1:23:49Speaker 5: was really hard to get these guys together, you know,
- 1:23:52Speaker 5: and this was the whole idea why everybody was excited
- 1:23:54Speaker 5: about what Riodd Season was doing and Turkey Ala Shaikh
- 1:23:59Speaker 5: and you know, although those people that put together these
- 1:24:01Speaker 5: big ass fights like Tyson Fury and Alexander Usik and
- 1:24:06Speaker 5: the last one they just did Rico Verhov and Usik,
- 1:24:09Speaker 5: like they're putting together these big, crazy fights Like that
- 1:24:13Speaker 5: was the thing that drove everybody nuts about boxing, and
- 1:24:16Speaker 5: that's what drives everybody nuts about MMA. The one thing
- 1:24:19Speaker 5: is it's the heavyweight division. The fact that the best heavyweight,
- 1:24:22Speaker 5: or at least the guy who was the lineal heavyweight
- 1:24:24Speaker 5: champion in the world isn't even fighting for the UFC.
- 1:24:27Speaker 5: That's crazy. It's crazy.
- 1:24:29Speaker 4: Yeah, who knows. Maybe one day, right, Nope, I.
- 1:24:33Speaker 5: Don't think so. I try to make it happen. I
- 1:24:35Speaker 5: think we need to get those dues together. Look at
- 1:24:37Speaker 5: that let get here gone dunkin.
- 1:24:40Speaker 4: That's crazy, I know.
- 1:24:42Speaker 5: See that kind of ability to throw your body around
- 1:24:45Speaker 5: like that is so huge as a striker. Because a
- 1:24:47Speaker 5: lot of those guys are plotting. You know, they're plotters.
- 1:24:50Speaker 5: They just kind of like wobble through. I think what
- 1:24:53Speaker 5: they need to do is get Francis and the UFC together.
- 1:24:56Speaker 5: They all do mushrooms, Yeah, just like make friends.
- 1:24:59Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:25:00Speaker 5: Because he doesn't have much time left. I think Francis
- 1:25:01Speaker 5: is thirty eight? Is that how old he is? I
- 1:25:06Speaker 5: think he's thirty eight, which is different as a heavyweight.
- 1:25:09Speaker 5: Heavyweights turns forty in September. Whoa how much time left? Right? Forty?
- 1:25:15Speaker 5: You can do. But unless you're Bernard Hopkins, fighting at
- 1:25:18Speaker 5: a world class level in your forties kind of unheard of.
- 1:25:22Speaker 5: I remember when when Bernard Hopkins fought Kelly Pavlic, A
- 1:25:27Speaker 5: lot of people did not think that he had a chance.
- 1:25:30Speaker 4: Oh yeah, very clearly.
- 1:25:32Speaker 5: He outboxed the fuck out of Kelly mad.
- 1:25:34Speaker 4: He looks so good, truly the executioner.
- 1:25:37Speaker 5: I want to say he was in his forties when
- 1:25:39Speaker 5: that happened.
- 1:25:40Speaker 4: I think so.
- 1:25:41Speaker 5: How old was Bernard Hopkins when he fought Kelly Pavlic?
- 1:25:46Speaker 5: He fought at a world class level until he's fifty
- 1:25:48Speaker 5: years old? Yeah, nuts, yeah, nuts.
- 1:25:50Speaker 4: We were all watching that one, everybody from Youngstown going
- 1:25:54Speaker 4: all right, this is that we're going to get back
- 1:25:55Speaker 4: on the right path, because it was after his loss
- 1:25:58Speaker 4: to Marguerite. Is that right? He's the guy that got
- 1:26:03Speaker 4: caught with a cement in his gloves against the one guy,
- 1:26:06Speaker 4: Antonio Margarito.
- 1:26:07Speaker 5: I do forty three? Wow? He was forty three years old. Wow,
- 1:26:15Speaker 5: six year old Cray, especially at one hundred and seventy pounds,
- 1:26:20Speaker 5: like nobody thinks at that weight that you you can
- 1:26:24Speaker 5: be competitive at a world class level into your forties.
- 1:26:28Speaker 5: Most of the time, like people just write you off
- 1:26:30Speaker 5: on the number. Yeah, they don't even care what you
- 1:26:32Speaker 5: look like like, he's not gonna be able to do it.
- 1:26:34Speaker 4: Was he the first one to beat Kelly? Is that
- 1:26:36Speaker 4: what I just saw?
- 1:26:37Speaker 5: Wow?
- 1:26:38Speaker 4: Okay, So he lost to him, and that's where shit
- 1:26:41Speaker 4: started to get fucked up because then he went on
- 1:26:44Speaker 4: a bad run after that.
- 1:26:46Speaker 5: Well, when you got beat up like that, yeah, it
- 1:26:48Speaker 5: was just tough on the brain, dude. There's only so
- 1:26:50Speaker 5: many of them fights that you could take where you
- 1:26:53Speaker 5: get really beat up like that, but not put it
- 1:26:56Speaker 5: on him. You know, There's been a bunch of fights
- 1:26:59Speaker 5: where a fight got beat up really badly and then
- 1:27:01Speaker 5: they were never the same again. Meldrick Taylor versus who
- 1:27:04Speaker 5: you'l says as Chavez. That's a great example. Chavez just
- 1:27:08Speaker 5: put it on him and dropped him in the final
- 1:27:10Speaker 5: moments of the round, and then Richard Steele stopped it.
- 1:27:13Speaker 5: And it was like this crazy fucking controversy because he
- 1:27:17Speaker 5: stopped the fight with like one second to go in
- 1:27:19Speaker 5: a fight that Melderic was ahead on the scorecards. But
- 1:27:22Speaker 5: the real, the real story of that fight was that
- 1:27:26Speaker 5: the damage that Chavez had put on Meldrick Melgick was
- 1:27:30Speaker 5: never the same again.
- 1:27:32Speaker 2: Pabolic actually won his next two fights, and then had
- 1:27:34Speaker 2: a bad staff infection problem.
- 1:27:36Speaker 5: Oh wow. So after he beat Sergio so he was
- 1:27:41Speaker 5: set to fight Paul Williams, but to a major staff
- 1:27:44Speaker 5: infection and allergic reactions to some antibiotics nearly killed him. WHOA.
- 1:27:49Speaker 5: He eventually was able to fight again against light middleweight
- 1:27:51Speaker 5: champions Sergio Martinez.
- 1:27:53Speaker 4: Oh, Sergio Martine beat him.
- 1:27:56Speaker 5: Martinez beat he beat him. He Martinez beat him. But yeah, uh,
- 1:28:03Speaker 5: unanimous twelve round decision. Surgeon Martinez was a bad motherfucker too,
- 1:28:07Speaker 5: was Yeah. In late rounds, Martinez came up. Yeah, it's
- 1:28:14Speaker 5: it's just a crazy sport man. You only have so
- 1:28:16Speaker 5: many wars in you. It's only so many times you
- 1:28:19Speaker 5: could do that. And the really clever guys are the
- 1:28:22Speaker 5: guys who just don't get hit much.
- 1:28:24Speaker 4: I went done a my Donna rabbit hole recently. Oh
- 1:28:27Speaker 4: my god, that fucking guy's a freak.
- 1:28:30Speaker 5: Oh he's an animal. What a career, He's an animal.
- 1:28:33Speaker 4: Unbelievable. He fought everybody.
- 1:28:36Speaker 5: He was one of the few guys to really rock
- 1:28:38Speaker 5: Floyd made with him. Yeah, knocked his tooth out and
- 1:28:40Speaker 5: wore his tooth around a chain.
- 1:28:42Speaker 4: Oh I love that.
- 1:28:43Speaker 5: Yeah, he got Floyd's tooth and wore it as a
- 1:28:47Speaker 5: piece of See if you can find the tooth that
- 1:28:49Speaker 5: my donna had.
- 1:28:52Speaker 4: Oh my god, that is so cool.
- 1:28:54Speaker 5: How hilarious is that?
- 1:28:56Speaker 4: That's so funny.
- 1:28:57Speaker 5: He had his tooth put on a fuck a necklace.
- 1:29:02Speaker 4: Wow, that's boy.
- 1:29:06Speaker 5: What a square jawed motherfucker that guy is. Huh Yeah,
- 1:29:08Speaker 5: look at that jaw. That guy looks like he could
- 1:29:11Speaker 5: hit him with a baseball bat.
- 1:29:12Speaker 4: He was a tough dude, insame career. I think he
- 1:29:15Speaker 4: fought everybody.
- 1:29:16Speaker 5: The Broner fight too. He dropped Broner. Heard that was
- 1:29:19Speaker 5: when Broner was in his prime. Yeah, here's a beast.
- 1:29:23Speaker 5: It's a It's a hard ass fucking sport, any combat sport.
- 1:29:27Speaker 5: It is a hard way to make a living.
- 1:29:30Speaker 4: Profitable.
- 1:29:31Speaker 5: Do you see all the stuff that's going on with Floyd.
- 1:29:34Speaker 4: Yeah, I can't wrap my head around it. I don't
- 1:29:36Speaker 4: understand how someone makes that much money and doesn't pay
- 1:29:41Speaker 4: taxes or whatever.
- 1:29:42Speaker 5: Yeah, well I could tell you how you run out
- 1:29:44Speaker 5: of money. Yeah, you know, you you spend so much
- 1:29:47Speaker 5: money on things you don't do.
- 1:29:49Speaker 4: You think he has a business manager.
- 1:29:52Speaker 5: Maybe he wasn't looking out for his best interest.
- 1:29:56Speaker 4: Just you gotta put somebody in charge of that amount
- 1:30:00Speaker 4: of money.
- 1:30:01Speaker 5: You would think, you would think seven hundred and fifty
- 1:30:04Speaker 5: million dollars would last you a while. Yeah, he's I
- 1:30:06Speaker 5: mean he's not even fifty You give one guy, yeah,
- 1:30:13Speaker 5: put them away. But the thing is, it's like that lifestyle.
- 1:30:17Speaker 5: His lifestyle was all about showing you his wealth, his lifestyle.
- 1:30:21Speaker 5: He's forty nine. I imagine making seven hundred and fifty
- 1:30:26Speaker 5: million dollars and you're forty nine, you're broke. Oh god,
- 1:30:30Speaker 5: that's crazy. But Tyson talks openly about how he spent
- 1:30:33Speaker 5: hundreds of millions of dollars, just went through it. You know,
- 1:30:36Speaker 5: if you're living that life where you're just wearing diamonds
- 1:30:40Speaker 5: everywhere and you're buying crazy watches, and you know, Floyd
- 1:30:43Speaker 5: does these things. You're seeing way he'll go into a
- 1:30:46Speaker 5: hotel room when he's traveling and he talks about like
- 1:30:48Speaker 5: the watches that he brought, and so he opens up
- 1:30:51Speaker 5: suitcases with millions of dollars and watches. He just open suitcase.
- 1:30:56Speaker 5: Have you ever seen these? Find them? Because they're kind
- 1:30:58Speaker 5: of hilarious.
- 1:31:00Speaker 4: He's just trying to figure out which one he one
- 1:31:01Speaker 4: store and brings them all with them.
- 1:31:03Speaker 5: Yeah, just showing off. And he's showing off that he's
- 1:31:06Speaker 5: got two suitcases filled with diamond and crusted protect Philips
- 1:31:10Speaker 5: and you know the most high end of watches. Look
- 1:31:15Speaker 5: at this. See if you do, you have the clip
- 1:31:19Speaker 5: here it is. Let me put some volume on this.
- 1:31:21Speaker 5: Look at this. I'm always in.
- 1:31:23Speaker 6: My fucking business, worried about what I'm doing, what Floyd
- 1:31:26Speaker 6: is doing, what Floyd ain't doing, what I do, got
- 1:31:29Speaker 6: what I don't got. Just know I'm gonna stand in
- 1:31:31Speaker 6: my lane.
- 1:31:32Speaker 5: I ain't gonna fuck with nobody, and I don't want
- 1:31:34Speaker 5: nobody fucking with me. If I go on vacation, my fault.
- 1:31:37Speaker 6: When I go on vacation for thirty days, I take.
- 1:31:41Speaker 5: Thirty watches with me. Look at this? Did you know what?
- 1:31:47Speaker 7: You know what?
- 1:31:48Speaker 5: What's crazy is this?
- 1:31:50Speaker 6: If we add ten more days, I take ten more watches.
- 1:31:56Speaker 6: But then I say, fuck it. If I want to
- 1:31:58Speaker 6: bring out the one and only, you're not bring out
- 1:32:00Speaker 6: the watch.
- 1:32:01Speaker 5: That costs eighteen million.
- 1:32:02Speaker 6: Oh Jesus, matter of fact, you know what I'm gonna
- 1:32:05Speaker 6: do for you, motherfucking hates today, I'm gonna go.
- 1:32:08Speaker 3: Fuck on fifty thousand dollars because I got shit else
- 1:32:10Speaker 3: to do.
- 1:32:12Speaker 5: Money made, Oh motherfucking day. You know that's great. That's
- 1:32:16Speaker 5: the problem, so that you can only do for so long. Yeah,
- 1:32:21Speaker 5: So if you have one eighteen million dollar watch, like, okay,
- 1:32:25Speaker 5: let's not get crazy, let's not get crazy. You wanted
- 1:32:28Speaker 5: to get it, you got it. You have seven hundred
- 1:32:29Speaker 5: fifty million dollars. You have one eighteen million dollar watch.
- 1:32:32Speaker 5: You can't have eighteen watches that cost millions of dollars, like,
- 1:32:39Speaker 5: because you're gonna need more. You're gonna keep wanting to
- 1:32:42Speaker 5: buy more. You're gonna keep you're gonna run out of money.
- 1:32:44Speaker 5: How many rolls royces do you have? Okay? Each one
- 1:32:47Speaker 5: of those is a half a million dollars. You have
- 1:32:49Speaker 5: four or five of them? I mean ferraris, you got
- 1:32:52Speaker 5: ten ferraris? Okay? What some of those Ferrari's are almost
- 1:32:56Speaker 5: a million dollars. You have ten almost a million dollar cars. Okay.
- 1:33:00Speaker 5: So justin watches and cars alone, we're looking at fifty
- 1:33:05Speaker 5: sixty million, okay, and then you have to make one
- 1:33:08Speaker 5: hundred and twenty plus to actually have sixty I don't
- 1:33:11Speaker 5: know if he's leasing them. I don't know how he's
- 1:33:12Speaker 5: financing things.
- 1:33:13Speaker 4: I don't know, but I just love to know the
- 1:33:16Speaker 4: re make that money back by he can make the
- 1:33:19Speaker 4: money that he needs back by literally making a superdocumentary
- 1:33:23Speaker 4: about how he spent it. Have you ever seen that
- 1:33:25Speaker 4: thirty for thirty broke about how the NFL players all
- 1:33:28Speaker 4: spent their money? No, Well, it's unbelievable, one of the
- 1:33:31Speaker 4: easiest watches ever, and like it it's it's got to be.
- 1:33:38Speaker 4: Thirty for thirty's like biggest production ever, Like it's everywhere,
- 1:33:41Speaker 4: It's it's just huge. And yeah, who the hell doesn't
- 1:33:46Speaker 4: want to know about that?
- 1:33:47Speaker 5: Right?
- 1:33:47Speaker 4: And I'm waiting on that Nicholas Cage doc that I
- 1:33:50Speaker 4: probably nobody's making either where it's like because he's a
- 1:33:53Speaker 4: different version of that.
- 1:33:55Speaker 5: You know about this he went broke? Oh yeah, but
- 1:33:58Speaker 5: then he made it back again.
- 1:33:59Speaker 4: Well, yeah, he works his ass off, so he went
- 1:34:01Speaker 4: on a he's on a terror. He's just making movies
- 1:34:05Speaker 4: left and right, and uh yeah.
- 1:34:10Speaker 5: He faced severe financial struggles in the late two thousands,
- 1:34:13Speaker 5: going from one hundred and fifty million dollar fortune to
- 1:34:15Speaker 5: be in six million in debt whoe. He never officially
- 1:34:18Speaker 5: filed for bankruptcy, but he cleared his death by relentlessly
- 1:34:21Speaker 5: taking on movie roles, including direct to video films, and
- 1:34:25Speaker 5: selling off extensive real estate and assets.
- 1:34:28Speaker 4: I guess he bought like a lot of t rex skulls.
- 1:34:30Speaker 4: Like he spent his money on like crazy things. He
- 1:34:32Speaker 4: didn't just go watches in cars. He would find crazy
- 1:34:36Speaker 4: pieces of art and like old historical things.
- 1:34:40Speaker 5: I think, well, he was a movie star from way back.
- 1:34:45Speaker 5: You got to realize, like what was his first film.
- 1:34:47Speaker 5: I think his first film was like nineteen eighty or something. Yeah,
- 1:34:50Speaker 5: I remember him being a movie star when I was
- 1:34:52Speaker 5: in high school. Yeah, that's a lot of time of
- 1:34:55Speaker 5: being in that bizarro Hollywood bubble, getting your brain cooked
- 1:35:00Speaker 5: by fame.
- 1:35:01Speaker 4: Yeah, he's one of those you can watch him do anythings,
- 1:35:04Speaker 4: like one of those freaks where even though people will say,
- 1:35:08Speaker 4: I don't like this Nicholas Cage thing, I don't like that.
- 1:35:11Speaker 5: From an article about what he spent his money on,
- 1:35:14Speaker 5: four and fifty five thousand dollars for two snakes. Okay,
- 1:35:21Speaker 5: so it was two hundred and seventy six thousand dollars
- 1:35:23Speaker 5: in two thousand and five, the equivalent of four hundred
- 1:35:25Speaker 5: fifty five thousand dollars today. Thanks inflation. How crazy is that?
- 1:35:31Speaker 5: What's the think about that? Two hundred and seventy five
- 1:35:33Speaker 5: thousand dollars in two thousand and five is four hundred
- 1:35:35Speaker 5: and fifty five thousand dollars today? Damn? How fun is inflation? Wow?
- 1:35:41Speaker 5: What was Nicholas Cage's first movie officially? Yeah, you just
- 1:35:48Speaker 5: had crazy movie with him and.
- 1:35:51Speaker 4: Raising Persona to be like the first big hit, right,
- 1:35:54Speaker 4: that was a big one.
- 1:35:55Speaker 5: That was a big one. His new ones are good too,
- 1:36:01Speaker 5: these wackies filmography. If you go all the way back
- 1:36:04Speaker 5: nineteen eighty two, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Valley Girls,
- 1:36:08Speaker 5: what I was thinking of? That was in eighty three? Yeah,
- 1:36:13Speaker 5: credit is Nicholas Coppole. That's before he changed his name
- 1:36:16Speaker 5: because he didn't want to be connected to what is
- 1:36:18Speaker 5: his uncle, Francis Ford Coppolo? Is that what it is?
- 1:36:22Speaker 5: Valley Girl? So Valley Girl was eighty three, So I
- 1:36:24Speaker 5: was in high school. Dude, Arizona got married those big
- 1:36:27Speaker 5: two big those were huge movies. Dude, Raising Arizona is
- 1:36:31Speaker 5: so fucking funny. I saw that like a year ago.
- 1:36:35Speaker 5: I forgot. I forgot how funny it was. Remember ty
- 1:36:38Speaker 5: kaw or a text Cob was in there, the boxer
- 1:36:40Speaker 5: with the flatten nose, who fought Larry Holmes. He did
- 1:36:43Speaker 5: a bunch of movies. Yeah, big, big fucking corn fed
- 1:36:47Speaker 5: white guy.
- 1:36:48Speaker 4: Yeah, oh yeah, he's great.
- 1:36:51Speaker 5: It's a Cohen Brothers movie, right raising Arizona is. Those
- 1:36:56Speaker 5: guys might be the goats. They might be the goats
- 1:36:58Speaker 5: of commedy them nessarily Brothers.
- 1:37:00Speaker 4: Yep, no doubt.
- 1:37:01Speaker 5: How many amazing, hilarious fucking movies and the Coen Brothers was.
- 1:37:05Speaker 5: They were always so out there. Everything's so out there.
- 1:37:09Speaker 5: Some of their films are just like, what the fuck
- 1:37:11Speaker 5: are you guys doing? Like King was king Pin Fairly Brothers. Yes,
- 1:37:15Speaker 5: those guys too, without a doubt.
- 1:37:17Speaker 4: Fuck that was good, unbelievable.
- 1:37:19Speaker 5: Fuck, that's a funny movie, so fucking great, so funny.
- 1:37:23Speaker 5: The scene where he's throwing up in the toilet when
- 1:37:25Speaker 5: she's talking about him her to pay his rent.
- 1:37:29Speaker 4: Oh my god, oh wood, these range is incredible.
- 1:37:34Speaker 5: You know what I heard about that movie that they
- 1:37:36Speaker 5: had primed all the actors to get really excited when
- 1:37:40Speaker 5: Bill Murray throws three strikes because he had to throw
- 1:37:43Speaker 5: three strikes in a row, and so they said this
- 1:37:45Speaker 5: might take a while. So We're gonna really need your enthusiasm.
- 1:37:48Speaker 5: And then Bill Murray actually threw three strikes in a
- 1:37:51Speaker 5: row first attempt, and everybody went crazy, like for real
- 1:37:56Speaker 5: because they were, you know, like they were said, this
- 1:37:58Speaker 5: is not gonna happen this way. When he actually did it,
- 1:38:01Speaker 5: everybody went fucking bananas nuts. Fuck. Such a good movie.
- 1:38:05Speaker 4: I love it, dude, Wood He's a freak bro since
- 1:38:08Speaker 4: he's moved here and goes to kill Tony and like
- 1:38:12Speaker 4: we hang out and stuff only after like being making
- 1:38:19Speaker 4: friends with him. Like I knew he did a lot
- 1:38:22Speaker 4: of great stuff, but he sneaks up in so many
- 1:38:25Speaker 4: great things it's insane. He's in fucking what is the
- 1:38:30Speaker 4: Coen Brothers one with the not There Will Be Blood?
- 1:38:32Speaker 4: It was made at the same time with Havier Bardem.
- 1:38:35Speaker 4: Oh my god, how am I blanking on this? It's
- 1:38:37Speaker 4: a No Country for Old Men? Oh that's right, he's
- 1:38:41Speaker 4: in it, and he's not even They don't even like
- 1:38:44Speaker 4: promote him on that or anything. He just comes in
- 1:38:46Speaker 4: the movie halfway through with all these other fucking greats
- 1:38:49Speaker 4: and is crushing.
- 1:38:52Speaker 5: It's hard to think that that's a Coen Brothers movie.
- 1:38:54Speaker 4: The People versus Larry Flint. He's a freak of nature.
- 1:38:58Speaker 4: Fucking well, the.
- 1:38:59Speaker 5: Thing that you said the other day with him when
- 1:39:00Speaker 5: he's playing LBJ.
- 1:39:02Speaker 4: Oh my god, it's so good. Randomly stumbled across that one.
- 1:39:06Speaker 4: I'm like, oh, I'll fall asleep to this woody as LBJ.
- 1:39:08Speaker 4: And it's one of those movies that fucking kept me
- 1:39:10Speaker 4: awake because it was so goddamn gut mesmerizing.
- 1:39:15Speaker 5: Super nice guy too, like easy to hang out with.
- 1:39:17Speaker 5: Oh my god, the best, very chill with everybody just
- 1:39:21Speaker 5: hangs out when he's in the green room. It's just
- 1:39:23Speaker 5: like one of us. Yeah, normal, Yeah, it's just hard
- 1:39:26Speaker 5: to do. And you've been famous that long. Just be cool.
- 1:39:29Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:39:29Speaker 5: But also he doesn't have a phone. You get a
- 1:39:31Speaker 5: hold of him, you gotta get go through his wife
- 1:39:33Speaker 5: to get a hold of him. He's smart, just insulates
- 1:39:35Speaker 5: him from himself from all the nonsense. Brilliant, so the
- 1:39:39Speaker 5: way to Yeah, but I think when you get to
- 1:39:41Speaker 5: like that level, you kind of have to you'll go crazy.
- 1:39:43Speaker 4: Yeah you know. Yeah, he has this fun He likes laughing,
- 1:39:47Speaker 4: sipping his tequila, smoking his weed. He's got it all
- 1:39:52Speaker 4: figured out. Grows his own weed, makes his own tequila,
- 1:39:57Speaker 4: eats live food or whatever and just and enjoys life.
- 1:40:02Speaker 4: It's perfect.
- 1:40:04Speaker 5: Yeah, it's nice to know that people can make it
- 1:40:05Speaker 5: through that crazy maze. And you know, you could either
- 1:40:09Speaker 5: go nuts and buy Terrannosaurus rex calls, or you could
- 1:40:13Speaker 5: just completely disconnect from it all and just be yourself,
- 1:40:16Speaker 5: just keep killing it. I know him and McConaughey have
- 1:40:21Speaker 5: a TV show that's coming out where they play brothers, right.
- 1:40:24Speaker 4: Yeah, I think it's on Apple TV, coming out soon.
- 1:40:28Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah. So what's it been like? Like the weirdness,
- 1:40:37Speaker 5: the post roast weirdness.
- 1:40:40Speaker 4: I'm always surprised by these things. I'm always surprised that
- 1:40:45Speaker 4: they last so long that anybody's talking about it. It's
- 1:40:50Speaker 4: so bizarre. I was surprised with the Pang Dang thing.
- 1:40:55Speaker 4: I was surprised at the Trump thing. And this one
- 1:40:59Speaker 4: is really rising because with other ones, they are like, ah,
- 1:41:02Speaker 4: there's a time and a place for jokes like that
- 1:41:04Speaker 4: or this or that or whatever, and this is the
- 1:41:08Speaker 4: time and the place for it. Is like the roast
- 1:41:10Speaker 4: of Kevin Hart. You know, I'm gonna go for it. Yeah,
- 1:41:14Speaker 4: and we roasted Kevin. You know, I did a fucking
- 1:41:17Speaker 4: George Floyd joke in the uh at the Tom Brady roast,
- 1:41:23Speaker 4: and I did a who's the white guy that shot people? Ah,
- 1:41:29Speaker 4: it's the same fan base as God damn it the
- 1:41:33Speaker 4: kid that shot people up and wherever white time. The
- 1:41:39Speaker 4: white guy shot a couple of people had a gun
- 1:41:41Speaker 4: at a thing. They made it look like it was
- 1:41:44Speaker 4: black people, but it was actually white people that he
- 1:41:46Speaker 4: shot that were shooting at him or had guns. What's
- 1:41:49Speaker 4: his name has the I have no idea who you
- 1:41:52Speaker 4: David Lucas his friends with them brought him to the ritt.
- 1:41:55Speaker 5: That's it.
- 1:41:56Speaker 4: That's it, Kyle rittenhouse joke. I did this and then
- 1:42:00Speaker 4: one people are offended or something.
- 1:42:02Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 1:42:03Speaker 4: And yeah, if you just watch that clip on my dismount,
- 1:42:06Speaker 4: it's a crazy clip. But if you watch the entire
- 1:42:08Speaker 4: flow of the roast set, it's just one last departing joke,
- 1:42:13Speaker 4: which that's my thing. Man. It's like I knew Earthquake
- 1:42:17Speaker 4: would be standing up on his feet like he was
- 1:42:20Speaker 4: halfway through my set.
- 1:42:21Speaker 5: You know.
- 1:42:22Speaker 4: You know there's standing o's that are happening during my
- 1:42:26Speaker 4: actual roast and on this one, because there were so
- 1:42:29Speaker 4: many people on it, it was such a long, big, roast.
- 1:42:32Speaker 4: You know, they set you to an allotted time, So
- 1:42:34Speaker 4: I'm like, okay, I'm going to do something I don't
- 1:42:36Speaker 4: normally do and blast off more jokes per minute than
- 1:42:40Speaker 4: I normally do. Instead of milking it and getting applause
- 1:42:43Speaker 4: breaks and things like that, I'm just going to create
- 1:42:45Speaker 4: a bang bang bang bang bang final stand up things.
- 1:42:50Speaker 4: You know, what's funny is that I have something that's
- 1:42:53Speaker 4: supposed to offend everybody, Like, I don't want you to
- 1:42:57Speaker 4: like one hundred percent of any of my jokes. I'm
- 1:43:00Speaker 4: not that guy. I'm heelish, I'm a bad guys exactly.
- 1:43:06Speaker 4: So what's funny? People got offended about the George Floyd thing,
- 1:43:10Speaker 4: and people a lot of people said, yeah, well, Pete
- 1:43:13Speaker 4: Davidson did a Charlie Kirk joke, and they're comparing these
- 1:43:16Speaker 4: things from two different spectrums. But what they didn't mention
- 1:43:19Speaker 4: is that I did a Charlie Kirk joke in my set,
- 1:43:23Speaker 4: So fuck them, fuck them, fuck them, fuck them.
- 1:43:26Speaker 5: You know what.
- 1:43:26Speaker 4: Everybody gets them, everybody gets it is always jokes everybody does.
- 1:43:32Speaker 4: I said that Kevin has uh what quite the fan base.
- 1:43:37Speaker 4: He has more gunfire at his merch table than Charlie
- 1:43:40Speaker 4: Kirk or whatever, and so you know, for them to
- 1:43:46Speaker 4: for people to nitpick that joke and be offended, and
- 1:43:49Speaker 4: it's funny because it was a lot of a lot
- 1:43:51Speaker 4: of comedians, a lot of black comedians were like, I'm
- 1:43:55Speaker 4: upset about this. You know, they made their videos, which
- 1:43:59Speaker 4: is just hilarious because they're not on the roast. They're
- 1:44:02Speaker 4: not in attendance at the roast.
- 1:44:04Speaker 5: You saw Tiffany Hardish.
- 1:44:05Speaker 4: That was the best one. Nobody handled it better than her.
- 1:44:08Speaker 5: Fine Tiffany Hattish getting asked questions was it a TMZ thing?
- 1:44:13Speaker 5: Yeah about the roast because she handled it so perfect.
- 1:44:18Speaker 4: They were trying to they were trying to be everybody.
- 1:44:21Speaker 4: Of course they were everybody, even Cheryl Underwood, who handled
- 1:44:24Speaker 4: it all like a champ. We made friends before at
- 1:44:28Speaker 4: a Netflix brunch that week that was for that festival.
- 1:44:32Speaker 5: Well, dud, I told you about Cheryl.
- 1:44:34Speaker 4: Yeah, she's the ship.
- 1:44:35Speaker 5: She's awesome. I worked with Cheryl in like the early
- 1:44:38Speaker 5: two thousands, I think it was in Montreal. I told
- 1:44:41Speaker 5: you she's a monster. Yeah, she goes stitch for a
- 1:44:43Speaker 5: person just clutching her purse on stitch and murdered. Oh yeah,
- 1:44:48Speaker 5: here's elide. Tiffany, see Rollie looked so good.
- 1:44:54Speaker 8: You had like thirty seconds of chatily quick.
- 1:44:56Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:44:56Speaker 7: So talking about Keva hart roast right, Yes, it was
- 1:44:59Speaker 7: so much fun.
- 1:45:00Speaker 8: Lonnie loved They didn't think so. Bonnie Love was like,
- 1:45:02Speaker 8: you know what, it's exhausting, it's edgy. Specifically about the
- 1:45:05Speaker 8: George Floyd joke?
- 1:45:07Speaker 5: What are you thinking? Is it just comedy?
- 1:45:09Speaker 8: Should they have been a little less?
- 1:45:12Speaker 7: I think it should have been shorter. The show was
- 1:45:14Speaker 7: too long, Okay, I mean I was sitting there the
- 1:45:16Speaker 7: whole time. I had to pee something. I didn't hear
- 1:45:18Speaker 7: the George Floyd joe because I had to pee so bad.
- 1:45:22Speaker 7: I was a glorified a seat filler that I was tired.
- 1:45:26Speaker 8: Well also, I mean Lennie and other people were like, oh,
- 1:45:28Speaker 8: maybe it was a little too racially motivated. What do
- 1:45:32Speaker 8: you think as far as like the jokes, is this
- 1:45:34Speaker 8: just comedy or are people taking it too seriously?
- 1:45:38Speaker 4: Is this all comedians saying it? That wasn't invited, that's
- 1:45:46Speaker 4: the fucking comedian. Tiffany hatters bro that.
- 1:45:49Speaker 5: Was her version of the Sean O'Malley walk off came.
- 1:45:52Speaker 5: I love it. I love it.
- 1:45:54Speaker 4: Man, you never forget those people that actually are answering
- 1:45:58Speaker 4: honestly and real realm. And again it's the same thing
- 1:46:03Speaker 4: for one hundred percent. She's not only is it a
- 1:46:05Speaker 4: fun walk off home run, but she's also one hundred
- 1:46:08Speaker 4: percent correct. There's nobody that was there that was offended.
- 1:46:13Speaker 4: There was no ruckus there. It's just like everything else
- 1:46:16Speaker 4: where you leave and you go, huh, this thing's this
- 1:46:19Speaker 4: thing's kind of crazily taking off. It seems a lot
- 1:46:22Speaker 4: of people are talking about that one joke at the end.
- 1:46:25Speaker 4: It's so weird.
- 1:46:26Speaker 5: Well, we live in an outrage culture, and an outrage
- 1:46:31Speaker 5: there's a there's money in outrage, there's engagement in outrage.
- 1:46:35Speaker 5: Outrage is the it's the commodity that everybody wants. They
- 1:46:39Speaker 5: want to be outraged and they want to be right.
- 1:46:41Speaker 5: And if you're outraged and you've got a good point,
- 1:46:43Speaker 5: you just ride that fucking thing for as much juice
- 1:46:45Speaker 5: as you can get out of it, and then you
- 1:46:47Speaker 5: move on to the next thing. What are you mad at? Now?
- 1:46:50Speaker 4: You know, there's never in any of these things, there's
- 1:46:53Speaker 4: never a moment where I'm like, ohkry, this could cause
- 1:46:56Speaker 4: a problem. It was It's never been that way while that,
- 1:47:00Speaker 4: it was high fives, high fives and laughter. After my
- 1:47:04Speaker 4: three pm set in a half filled Madison Square garden
- 1:47:08Speaker 4: waiting for the eight pm arrival of Trump to speak, I'm,
- 1:47:12Speaker 4: you know, on a thirty four person lineup. Everyone was thrilled.
- 1:47:16Speaker 4: Way to get the crowd going. I mean, it's we're
- 1:47:19Speaker 4: just getting the party started. The lights were up like
- 1:47:21Speaker 4: it obviously wasn't the best position for me on that lineup,
- 1:47:25Speaker 4: but the same exact thing. And then it's like a
- 1:47:27Speaker 4: little bit later you realize like, oh, they're making a
- 1:47:30Speaker 4: news story about the Puerto Rico joke about things so interesting.
- 1:47:34Speaker 5: I problem. Yeah, I would have never told you to
- 1:47:39Speaker 5: do that joke during that, but I told you that
- 1:47:41Speaker 5: was gonna be a problem in your ad.
- 1:47:42Speaker 4: It wasn't supposed to be in my original thing for that.
- 1:47:45Speaker 4: It was the last second filler because they gave me
- 1:47:47Speaker 4: more time than everybody. It was a very bizarre thing.
- 1:47:50Speaker 4: They gave me more time for a bizarre thing.
- 1:47:52Speaker 5: And the idea that you would go on after someone
- 1:47:55Speaker 5: like who went on before you, Steven Miller.
- 1:47:56Speaker 4: No not he it was the national anthem with the
- 1:48:00Speaker 4: guy painting a painting a thing. Actually no, he went
- 1:48:04Speaker 4: on after me national anthem.
- 1:48:07Speaker 5: But someone had some kind of like raw ras speech.
- 1:48:11Speaker 4: I wish, I wish there was that all came like
- 1:48:14Speaker 4: away after me, which is crazy. They just had me
- 1:48:17Speaker 4: on the wrong position on the thing, and uh.
- 1:48:20Speaker 5: You should only do stand up totally. Doing stand up
- 1:48:23Speaker 5: totally totally, it doesn't work totally.
- 1:48:25Speaker 4: It's like, but you got to say, but then again,
- 1:48:28Speaker 4: it did. It did work in house. The place isn't
- 1:48:31Speaker 4: miked for stand up comedy or lit for stand up
- 1:48:34Speaker 4: or anything like it. They were having a good old time.
- 1:48:38Speaker 5: Well, they're probably happy that something wasn't stiff and boring. Right,
- 1:48:41Speaker 5: taxes and fucking right.
- 1:48:45Speaker 4: I mean, Rudy Giuliani went on like three hours after me.
- 1:48:48Speaker 5: That's crazy.
- 1:48:49Speaker 4: Yeah, it was a nuts all day. It was a
- 1:48:52Speaker 4: super long thing. My point being is that it always
- 1:48:54Speaker 4: surprises me that I'm the news even though i'm because
- 1:49:00Speaker 4: if someone else said it, if it was a politician
- 1:49:02Speaker 4: that did it, or someone else someone high up in
- 1:49:06Speaker 4: the administration, that would make sense. Same thing with the
- 1:49:08Speaker 4: roast if it was a clean comedian, right, if Nate
- 1:49:12Speaker 4: Bargatzi or Jim Gaffigan were on it and they said that,
- 1:49:16Speaker 4: that's crazy me saying it that's normal.
- 1:49:20Speaker 5: They don't know that though. See the thing is, it's
- 1:49:22Speaker 5: like you've achieved a level of fame that like really
- 1:49:26Speaker 5: snuck up on people over the last couple of years.
- 1:49:29Speaker 5: You know, it's because the rise of kill Tony has
- 1:49:32Speaker 5: been completely organic, Like there's been no promotion of kill
- 1:49:37Speaker 5: Tony that made it become what it is. It's all
- 1:49:40Speaker 5: just people sharing it on YouTube, sharing it online. That's
- 1:49:43Speaker 5: all it is clips and these moments, you know, and
- 1:49:47Speaker 5: then you know, obviously the Shane moments and all the
- 1:49:51Speaker 5: Kyle Dunn again, it's been just so many amazing moments.
- 1:49:53Speaker 5: This is a good show. It came organically, and then
- 1:49:57Speaker 5: you got to this point over the last couple of
- 1:49:59Speaker 5: years are like, oh, we got a pay attention to
- 1:50:00Speaker 5: this fucking guy. And then and then after they started
- 1:50:03Speaker 5: attacking you from the White House thing or the Madison
- 1:50:06Speaker 5: Square Garden thing rather, which is twenty twenty four, then
- 1:50:09Speaker 5: it was on. Then it's on like Donkey Kong, right,
- 1:50:11Speaker 5: So that's two years later. So now you're a guy
- 1:50:14Speaker 5: that they go to like to get mad at, and
- 1:50:17Speaker 5: there's a bunch of people like that online that that's
- 1:50:20Speaker 5: their business, their businesses. People are mad at them. They
- 1:50:22Speaker 5: have hot takes, people are mad at them. Yeah, I
- 1:50:24Speaker 5: mean that's so you're you've fallen into that category. And
- 1:50:29Speaker 5: so there's gonna be people that genuinely don't like what
- 1:50:32Speaker 5: you did and don't like you. And then there's gonna
- 1:50:34Speaker 5: be people that are just using it as a commodity.
- 1:50:36Speaker 5: They're just using it as outrage, which is part of
- 1:50:39Speaker 5: what the game is. You know, this is what they
- 1:50:41Speaker 5: do and their engagement, you know, fucking game that they play,
- 1:50:46Speaker 5: and it's kind of what we do in the joke game.
- 1:50:49Speaker 5: You know, you get engagement, you get people to laugh.
- 1:50:52Speaker 5: You say outrageous things that you don't even really mean,
- 1:50:55Speaker 5: but this's because it's a funny thing to say. It's
- 1:50:57Speaker 5: just like I always say, Bob Marley didn't shoot the sheriff,
- 1:51:00Speaker 5: you know that, right, right, it's like just jokes, like
- 1:51:05Speaker 5: when you say inappropriate shit on purpose, and that is
- 1:51:09Speaker 5: like everybody used to know that, Like Louis c. K
- 1:51:12Speaker 5: was a very left wing progressive guy when he was
- 1:51:15Speaker 5: saying really fucked up things that he didn't mean on
- 1:51:18Speaker 5: purpose because they were funny. Yeah, Like that was what
- 1:51:20Speaker 5: he did, and everybody was fine with it until somewhere
- 1:51:25Speaker 5: around It seems like it was like twenty sixteen, two thousand,
- 1:51:29Speaker 5: like it started to turn a corner where it became
- 1:51:31Speaker 5: like people are starting to take these things as statements
- 1:51:36Speaker 5: rather than as comedy material, and they started trying to
- 1:51:40Speaker 5: pretend that the person really means this. Like that's where
- 1:51:43Speaker 5: it got crazy. And that happened around the time where
- 1:51:46Speaker 5: social media really came into prominence, because before that there
- 1:51:50Speaker 5: was no real avenue to do that. There's no real
- 1:51:53Speaker 5: avenue to pretend you were really deeply upset.
- 1:51:56Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:51:56Speaker 5: I mean, I'm sure there's some people that were upset,
- 1:51:59Speaker 5: but there's also a lot of people that are just ill.
- 1:52:02Speaker 5: They're online all the time on these social media apps,
- 1:52:05Speaker 5: just arguing and spitting out venom and yelling at people.
- 1:52:08Speaker 5: And they yell at them. It's like they're in hell
- 1:52:10Speaker 5: all day long, and anytime something comes along they could
- 1:52:13Speaker 5: be upset at They got it. They have to have
- 1:52:15Speaker 5: their take, they have to have that hot take.
- 1:52:17Speaker 4: Yeah, and if their hot.
- 1:52:19Speaker 5: Take gets engagement, they're all looking at their likes, then
- 1:52:21Speaker 5: they just start re engaging with that subject and going
- 1:52:25Speaker 5: back on it. And this is the real problem. Okay,
- 1:52:28Speaker 5: good luck with that. That's bad for your head, kid, right, exactly,
- 1:52:32Speaker 5: very bad for your head. All those people that I
- 1:52:34Speaker 5: know that are like, especially comics that are doing it,
- 1:52:37Speaker 5: The comics that are doing it, almost all of them
- 1:52:39Speaker 5: don't have good careers, no, all of them, right, None
- 1:52:42Speaker 5: of them have like impressive careers, especially compared to their
- 1:52:45Speaker 5: contemporaries that are doing well. And then on top of it,
- 1:52:47Speaker 5: they're all mentally ill. They're all people that are fucking
- 1:52:50Speaker 5: filled up with pharmaceuticals and they're going to therapy, they're
- 1:52:54Speaker 5: they're literally mentally ill, and they're online talking about fascists, right,
- 1:52:59Speaker 5: you know, like it's get your shit together. No one,
- 1:53:02Speaker 5: your opinion is not that valuable to people because they
- 1:53:05Speaker 5: know that you're fucked up. Do you not understand that?
- 1:53:07Speaker 6: Right?
- 1:53:08Speaker 5: Like the way you view the world is it's not
- 1:53:11Speaker 5: a healthy, balanced perspective, Like you're viewing the world in
- 1:53:15Speaker 5: this like mentally ill lens.
- 1:53:18Speaker 4: Well, the whole online thing doesn't It doesn't even convert
- 1:53:22Speaker 4: to sold tickets or a bigger thing. It's such a
- 1:53:25Speaker 4: temporary drug for them to get to fill this void
- 1:53:29Speaker 4: of what they're not doing.
- 1:53:31Speaker 5: Right, it doesn't convert to them people wanting to go
- 1:53:33Speaker 5: see them.
- 1:53:34Speaker 2: No.
- 1:53:35Speaker 5: I mean some people maybe they get like a little
- 1:53:36Speaker 5: juice out of it, but it's not enough because you're
- 1:53:39Speaker 5: also opening the door if you do become popular. You
- 1:53:41Speaker 5: have to understand that. If you've been spitt and hate
- 1:53:43Speaker 5: at people for a decade and then you become popular,
- 1:53:46Speaker 5: boy that hates coming your way, oh yeah, it's coming
- 1:53:50Speaker 5: your way, you know. And I mean, this is one
- 1:53:52Speaker 5: of the things that I said after the Mencia stuff.
- 1:53:55Speaker 5: I said, even though I think it was the right
- 1:53:56Speaker 5: thing to do, I wouldn't do it again because it's
- 1:53:59Speaker 5: just too much. It's just too much. You just you
- 1:54:02Speaker 5: create all you just feel the darkness of it, all
- 1:54:04Speaker 5: the negative. It's all negative. It's all negative, even though
- 1:54:07Speaker 5: it had to be done because you've got this guy
- 1:54:09Speaker 5: that would it showed me how completely absent of morals
- 1:54:16Speaker 5: and ethics, the businesses, completely absent. They knew what he
- 1:54:21Speaker 5: was doing and they did not care. They didn't care
- 1:54:24Speaker 5: because they were profiting from it. This is the conversation
- 1:54:26Speaker 5: that I have with my agent when they were dumping me.
- 1:54:29Speaker 5: I told them, I go, you're making a mistake right now.
- 1:54:31Speaker 5: It's going to affect the rest of your life. You
- 1:54:33Speaker 5: have to understand the choice that you're making. You're choosing
- 1:54:37Speaker 5: to align with someone who in any other industry, that
- 1:54:40Speaker 5: person would be in jail if that person was And
- 1:54:43Speaker 5: also if this was in literature or if this was
- 1:54:45Speaker 5: in music, they would be sued into high heaven. Like
- 1:54:49Speaker 5: there's songs that like, they don't even seem like they're
- 1:54:53Speaker 5: that close to each other and people had to give
- 1:54:56Speaker 5: like songwriting credits to it. Yeah, oh yeah, Like songs
- 1:55:01Speaker 5: like people get inspired by certain songs and then they
- 1:55:04Speaker 5: write a song that sounds close enough that there's a
- 1:55:09Speaker 5: rhythm to it that people get upset.
- 1:55:11Speaker 4: Well, there's only so many notes and so many chords,
- 1:55:14Speaker 4: and there's only so many beats and so much timing.
- 1:55:17Speaker 4: And it's often the same thing with comedy, Like there's
- 1:55:21Speaker 4: some crossovers in a writer's room, which I've been in
- 1:55:24Speaker 4: so many of, so many people writing on the same
- 1:55:27Speaker 4: subject will have the same joke. It's only when it's
- 1:55:32Speaker 4: like what Mencia was doing word for word long form.
- 1:55:35Speaker 5: Well, that was a different thing, but he was a buccaneer.
- 1:55:39Speaker 5: That was a totally different thing. But there's songs like Okay,
- 1:55:43Speaker 5: so I was listening to this video the other day,
- 1:55:45Speaker 5: watching this video the other day. Rather that was comparing
- 1:55:49Speaker 5: Radioheads Creep to an older song, and they had to
- 1:55:54Speaker 5: give Creep Radiohead Rather, I had to give this older
- 1:55:58Speaker 5: song writing credits for this, which sounds so different. And
- 1:56:02Speaker 5: then radio Head accused Lana del Rey or someone from
- 1:56:06Speaker 5: their organization accused Lana del Rey of having a song
- 1:56:10Speaker 5: that ripped off Creep or it was sounded too much
- 1:56:13Speaker 5: like Creep, And it did sound a little like Creep,
- 1:56:15Speaker 5: but it was very different, like it should be. Obviously,
- 1:56:18Speaker 5: this is like inspired by it, right if that's the
- 1:56:21Speaker 5: like Elvis Presley's entire career was inspired by black musicians,
- 1:56:27Speaker 5: Like he's like the way he danced and moved in
- 1:56:29Speaker 5: the way he sang. So it's like, what are we doing?
- 1:56:32Speaker 5: Like there's stealing and then there's inspired by. Inspired by
- 1:56:36Speaker 5: is what we were all doing. It's like we were
- 1:56:37Speaker 5: talking about that computer earlier, that chip manufacturing thing. That
- 1:56:41Speaker 5: thing was built on the back of all the fucking
- 1:56:44Speaker 5: super wizard geniuses that have been working on all the
- 1:56:46Speaker 5: different technology that led to that being. You can't just
- 1:56:49Speaker 5: invent that in a vacuum. You have to invent that
- 1:56:53Speaker 5: on all these other inventions that have taken place for
- 1:56:56Speaker 5: decades before you right, this is the same like with music.
- 1:57:01Speaker 5: It's interesting how litigious they are, maybe because they're run
- 1:57:05Speaker 5: by a certain group of people to me, but they're
- 1:57:08Speaker 5: so good at like suing people, like a Bittersweet Symphony.
- 1:57:13Speaker 5: Remember that song, Yeah, totally. They had to. They had
- 1:57:15Speaker 5: to give all their money to the Stones because it
- 1:57:18Speaker 5: was what song it's what's asperplexity? Well tony is.
- 1:57:27Speaker 4: Or while Jamie rothers, oh, I can't do that, that's right,
- 1:57:30Speaker 4: you have to get us.
- 1:57:32Speaker 5: I know are.
- 1:57:35Speaker 4: If if? I mean, we learned this the hard way
- 1:57:37Speaker 4: because I have an actual band that can play anything
- 1:57:40Speaker 4: and everything, and years ago they could play anything and everything.
- 1:57:44Speaker 4: Our old episodes hold because you know, I'd literally be
- 1:57:49Speaker 4: to a you know, a shy person. I'd be like,
- 1:57:52Speaker 4: what do you you know you ever do karaoke? They're
- 1:57:54Speaker 4: like yes, I'd go what song do you sing? And
- 1:57:55Speaker 4: then they go da da da da, and I literally
- 1:57:58Speaker 4: they would go right into it. And now you can't
- 1:58:00Speaker 4: hum a song for a few seconds.
- 1:58:03Speaker 5: So Bittersweet Symphony was a sample from the Verve developed
- 1:58:07Speaker 5: Bittersweet Symphony from a sample from a nineteen sixty five
- 1:58:11Speaker 5: version of Rolling Stone song The Last Time adding vocal strings, guitar,
- 1:58:17Speaker 5: and percussion. After a lawsuit by the Rolling Stones former
- 1:58:21Speaker 5: manager Alan Klein, the Verb relinquished all royalties to the
- 1:58:24Speaker 5: Rolling Stones members Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, who were
- 1:58:27Speaker 5: also added to the songwriting credits. Wow. Twenty nineteen, ten
- 1:58:32Speaker 5: years after Cline's death, Jagger, Richards, and Clin's son seeded
- 1:58:35Speaker 5: the rights to The Verb songwriter Richard Ashcroft because he
- 1:58:39Speaker 5: was probably broke.
- 1:58:40Speaker 2: There's similar things that have happened recently with uh, I
- 1:58:42Speaker 2: think Olivia Rodrigo and Paramore and then like Puff.
- 1:58:46Speaker 5: Daddy and yeah, can you please look up the other
- 1:58:49Speaker 5: one that I said up though, which was Radiohead Creep.
- 1:58:53Speaker 5: Lana del Rey and Radiohead Creep had to give songwriting
- 1:58:57Speaker 5: credits to another band, the Hollies. That's right. What was
- 1:59:01Speaker 5: the original song the Air that I Breathe? It's interesting
- 1:59:08Speaker 5: when you listen to Let's listen to them, see if
- 1:59:10Speaker 5: you can find that. There's a comparison video that I
- 1:59:12Speaker 5: watched on YouTube. See if you can find that, because
- 1:59:17Speaker 5: it's interesting how they say the first one and you're like, geez,
- 1:59:22Speaker 5: I don't see it. Well, we'll have to edit this out.
- 1:59:25Speaker 5: Ladies and gentlemen, but you can find yourself. Radioheads, Creep
- 1:59:27Speaker 5: versus Lona del Rays, Get Free versus the Hollies, The
- 1:59:30Speaker 5: Air that I Breathe. Yeah, that was a live version
- 1:59:32Speaker 5: of it, but if you hear the recorded version of
- 1:59:35Speaker 5: it's even more you could see. But people get inspired
- 1:59:40Speaker 5: by things. I get it, though, I get it in
- 1:59:44Speaker 5: those cases, especially like the beginning of the Holly song
- 1:59:47Speaker 5: and then the beginning of Radiohead like a sort of
- 1:59:50Speaker 5: dead on. Yeah, they're set in a mood, like a
- 1:59:53Speaker 5: very specific mood.
- 1:59:55Speaker 4: Have you ever seen how the guy from the Here's
- 1:59:57Speaker 4: a Crazy One, the guy from the Gorillas the song
- 2:00:01Speaker 4: Clint Eastwood, I think it is he had a like
- 2:00:04Speaker 4: one of those like little kids kind of keyboards and
- 2:00:08Speaker 4: he hit the demo button because like oftentimes it'll just
- 2:00:12Speaker 4: have a regular song or whatever, and it's the entire
- 2:00:18Speaker 4: backbone of their biggest hit. You'd have to you'd have
- 2:00:22Speaker 4: to pull it up, I guess to understand. But it's that, yeah,
- 2:00:28Speaker 4: there it is. So that's just on the thing.
- 2:00:32Speaker 5: Wow.
- 2:00:34Speaker 4: And somehow they got away with it.
- 2:00:39Speaker 5: Wow.
- 2:00:39Speaker 4: And then all they do from there is just Yeah,
- 2:00:42Speaker 4: that's the preset. It's the preset.
- 2:00:50Speaker 5: That's so crazy. They used that. They used a preset
- 2:00:54Speaker 5: from one of them little machines like a toy.
- 2:00:58Speaker 4: And much like the fucking crazy jokes that end up
- 2:01:01Speaker 4: getting me in trouble. I bet they don't even think
- 2:01:03Speaker 4: that's gonna be the hit, you know what I mean. Like,
- 2:01:05Speaker 4: they're probably not like this is the song that's gonna
- 2:01:08Speaker 4: fly off the shelf.
- 2:01:09Speaker 5: But other people see it. Tony, I was the one
- 2:01:10Speaker 5: who told you're gonna get stabbed for the Puerto Rican joke.
- 2:01:14Speaker 4: There was that was so many years later. It's crazy.
- 2:01:17Speaker 4: I was doing that joke during the pandemic to the
- 2:01:19Speaker 4: point to where it got extended to where you were
- 2:01:22Speaker 4: part of it. And what's funny is I left those
- 2:01:24Speaker 4: tags of the longer joke out of the Trump rally
- 2:01:27Speaker 4: one which probably would have protected me. They probably would
- 2:01:30Speaker 4: have saved it, going ah, it's gonna get me stabbed whatever,
- 2:01:33Speaker 4: you know what I mean, and.
- 2:01:34Speaker 5: You would have the Amy Schumer.
- 2:01:36Speaker 4: Well, yeah, there was a lot to it. Yeah, people
- 2:01:39Speaker 4: don't realize that that's a bit of a munch, much
- 2:01:42Speaker 4: bigger chunk at the time.
- 2:01:44Speaker 5: Well, that's why it should be in a set you
- 2:01:46Speaker 5: know of comedy. Is a such a weird art form. Look,
- 2:01:50Speaker 5: I love it to death, but real comedy should be
- 2:01:53Speaker 5: seen in person. Oh yeah, you know. Stanhope said this once,
- 2:01:56Speaker 5: like it was like everything we do on TV is
- 2:01:58Speaker 5: just to try to get people to come see us
- 2:01:59Speaker 5: in the clubs. Like that's really what it is, Like
- 2:02:01Speaker 5: you just really want people to go there live, because
- 2:02:03Speaker 5: that's the real fun. The real fun is all us
- 2:02:06Speaker 5: a bunch of human beings fucking around and having a
- 2:02:09Speaker 5: good time. As soon as you start taking it seriously
- 2:02:12Speaker 5: and making it something that it's not like you're I
- 2:02:16Speaker 5: get why you're doing it, because that has become a
- 2:02:18Speaker 5: thing that people do today. But I'm just saying, like,
- 2:02:21Speaker 5: for your own mental health, it's just it's not good
- 2:02:24Speaker 5: for you to be engaging, like I was saying about
- 2:02:27Speaker 5: the Carlos thing, like just engaging in conflict. It's not good.
- 2:02:30Speaker 5: It's not good for you. It's bad for you. It
- 2:02:32Speaker 5: feels bad. It's not good. It's not it's your This
- 2:02:35Speaker 5: is there's negative energy and positive energy. You should spend
- 2:02:39Speaker 5: as much of your time possible on things that make
- 2:02:43Speaker 5: positive energy. I know that sounds hippie, and because I'm
- 2:02:45Speaker 5: a little bit of hippie, I got a lot of
- 2:02:47Speaker 5: hippie in me. But that's what I believe. I believe
- 2:02:49Speaker 5: you should spend as much of your time having fun,
- 2:02:53Speaker 5: making people laugh, having a good time, and less about
- 2:02:56Speaker 5: dwelling on shit. Yeah, that's why I try to stay
- 2:02:59Speaker 5: on Twitter, because when I get on, I just start
- 2:03:02Speaker 5: freaking out at all the different news stories that are
- 2:03:05Speaker 5: just abomination after abomination where you're just so angry.
- 2:03:09Speaker 4: It's just impossible now. And you know it used to
- 2:03:12Speaker 4: be Twitter was Twitter and this and that, but really
- 2:03:15Speaker 4: it's just the news. X is the news. It is
- 2:03:18Speaker 4: news so hard to absorb that it was fun and
- 2:03:24Speaker 4: you know, it's cool and all, and my algorithm still
- 2:03:27Speaker 4: shows me stuff that I love, police chases gone wrong
- 2:03:30Speaker 4: and UFC highlights and all of this stuff, but all
- 2:03:35Speaker 4: the stuff around that is just crazy. I did a
- 2:03:39Speaker 4: thing because I was staying at a hotel in DC
- 2:03:46Speaker 4: right after the State of the Union or something. Anyway,
- 2:03:50Speaker 4: I'm like, okay, it's a hotel TV. I never get
- 2:03:52Speaker 4: to watch regular TV. I'm going to be asleep and
- 2:03:55Speaker 4: a few minutes anyway, so I threw on. I ended
- 2:03:59Speaker 4: up going by CNN. I'm like, let's see what these
- 2:04:01Speaker 4: wackos are saying.
- 2:04:02Speaker 5: Over here.
- 2:04:03Speaker 4: Let's see how fake the news can possibly be, because
- 2:04:06Speaker 4: from what I understand, the most recent State of the
- 2:04:09Speaker 4: Union was a solid state of the Union and very
- 2:04:12Speaker 4: positive and long and entertaining. Let's see what they say, Oh, racism,
- 2:04:17Speaker 4: this he caused the deaths of black people here. He's
- 2:04:19Speaker 4: the reason why we why America is failing. It's the
- 2:04:23Speaker 4: reason why we're the laughing stock of the country. It
- 2:04:26Speaker 4: made me so stressed out, and I'm like, okay, well,
- 2:04:29Speaker 4: let's see what Fox News is saying. And it was
- 2:04:31Speaker 4: crazy over there, and then you have photographs. Well they
- 2:04:36Speaker 4: had their counterpoint person on, unlike CNN, where they're just
- 2:04:40Speaker 4: all in agreeance. Yeah yeah, and going by six people
- 2:04:44Speaker 4: literally going yeah, he's the worst. And let's not forget
- 2:04:48Speaker 4: that he doesn't think trans people deserve this and this,
- 2:04:51Speaker 4: and like they're just going on and on about straight doom.
- 2:04:55Speaker 4: And Fox News had a counterpoint person that was stressing
- 2:04:58Speaker 4: me out. You know, I swear to God, I'm not kidding.
- 2:05:02Speaker 4: This is not a joke. I was flipping through the
- 2:05:04Speaker 4: different go by MSNBC. I'm like, oh my god, it's crazy.
- 2:05:08Speaker 4: I put on Silence of the Lambs. I swear to God,
- 2:05:13Speaker 4: I was asleep five minutes later, silently, and I ended
- 2:05:17Speaker 4: up it just coincidentally was on the Buffalo Bill part
- 2:05:21Speaker 4: where like He's got a girl in a well here darkness,
- 2:05:26Speaker 4: and I'm like, oh, finally some peace on the cable television.
- 2:05:31Speaker 4: I never get to just watch normal TV.
- 2:05:33Speaker 5: So did Fox News have a positive spin on the
- 2:05:35Speaker 5: State of the Union address? I did not watch it.
- 2:05:37Speaker 4: I remember for some reason it was stressing me out
- 2:05:40Speaker 4: whatever was going on, because like they had, they at
- 2:05:43Speaker 4: least Fox has. They'll argue still like the News used
- 2:05:46Speaker 4: to be. They'll have both sides on and kind of
- 2:05:49Speaker 4: talk it out. And CNN has that poor guy, that
- 2:05:53Speaker 4: poor one guy that just takes all the bullets for
- 2:05:55Speaker 4: everybodys is just going, you're lying, this is that stat
- 2:06:00Speaker 4: doesn't exist.
- 2:06:00Speaker 5: Scott Jennings.
- 2:06:01Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, yeah, that poor guy is probably he's probably
- 2:06:05Speaker 4: has months to live. He takes so many bullets every day.
- 2:06:09Speaker 4: He's a fucking war hero out there.
- 2:06:12Speaker 5: It's a it's a very turbulent world when it comes
- 2:06:15Speaker 5: to discourse. It's just everybody's mad at everybody else. It's
- 2:06:18Speaker 5: really weird to watch. It's really weird to watch these
- 2:06:21Speaker 5: these shows on CNN now that are basically like bad
- 2:06:24Speaker 5: podcasts that get interrupted every five minutes for a commercial.
- 2:06:28Speaker 5: It's really what it's like. I just don't I don't
- 2:06:30Speaker 5: remember it being that way where it's just so many
- 2:06:33Speaker 5: panel opinion shows. I remember it was. It was more
- 2:06:37Speaker 5: like CNN used to have Bourdain's show on. You know,
- 2:06:40Speaker 5: well they would travel around the country and check out
- 2:06:43Speaker 5: or travel around the world and check out food and
- 2:06:46Speaker 5: it was interesting and he would, you know, give you
- 2:06:48Speaker 5: his perspective on the cultures and all the problems and
- 2:06:52Speaker 5: the things that these people are facing and their food
- 2:06:55Speaker 5: and the community. Was like a fucking great show. They
- 2:06:59Speaker 5: did a bunch of different shows that were different, you know,
- 2:07:01Speaker 5: and then somewhere along the line, man, they just went
- 2:07:05Speaker 5: all outrage. Yeah, and I don't think that's going to
- 2:07:08Speaker 5: get any different now. I mean, now it looks like
- 2:07:11Speaker 5: Barry Weiss is going to be running that as well.
- 2:07:14Speaker 5: So she's running the CBS News and perhaps she's going
- 2:07:16Speaker 5: to be running CNN or the same company is going
- 2:07:19Speaker 5: to be running CNN. It's like, okay, good luck, good luck.
- 2:07:23Speaker 5: Because it's already people already don't want to listen, they
- 2:07:26Speaker 5: don't want to take it seriously. Yeah, they, you know,
- 2:07:28Speaker 5: and that's why X has become the news. The reason
- 2:07:31Speaker 5: why it's become the news is because they can't trust
- 2:07:32Speaker 5: the news.
- 2:07:33Speaker 4: Right, you know, totally. It's crazier.
- 2:07:36Speaker 5: Tim Dillon had these two New York Times reporters on
- 2:07:38Speaker 5: his podcast, and I listened to him talking about it.
- 2:07:41Speaker 5: I hadn't listened to them on the podcast, but I
- 2:07:43Speaker 5: listened to him talking about it, and he was saying
- 2:07:46Speaker 5: that they said there's no evidence that Jeffrey Epstein was intelligence.
- 2:07:50Speaker 5: I was like, what, what, there's no idea. If I
- 2:07:54Speaker 5: watch one Mike Ben's episode of my podcast where he
- 2:07:58Speaker 5: breaks it down, it's almost in possible that he's not right,
- 2:08:02Speaker 5: Like what the fuck are you?
- 2:08:03Speaker 4: Like?
- 2:08:03Speaker 5: No evidence? No, that's not true. There's just evidence that
- 2:08:06Speaker 5: you're not considering. So it's like, if the New York
- 2:08:09Speaker 5: Times and the people that we're always supposed to trust
- 2:08:11Speaker 5: to be the objective purveyors of all that's going on
- 2:08:14Speaker 5: in the world, if they're compromised so they're not allowed
- 2:08:17Speaker 5: to say things, or they have narratives that they gets
- 2:08:19Speaker 5: they're supposed to spend one way or another, or they're
- 2:08:21Speaker 5: very cautious about being honest about their opinion, very very
- 2:08:25Speaker 5: shielded about their actual opinions. Either one of those is
- 2:08:29Speaker 5: not good or if they actually believe that, that's not
- 2:08:31Speaker 5: good either, because that means you're not really paying attention objectively.
- 2:08:36Speaker 5: Like watch a Mike Ben's episode where he breaks down
- 2:08:39Speaker 5: Epstein's connections. It's nuts. The whole thing's nuts. It's crazy
- 2:08:45Speaker 5: that anybody could say that he was an intelligence.
- 2:08:48Speaker 4: Yeah, there's no doubt about it, but they will do
- 2:08:50Speaker 4: anything to push their own story.
- 2:08:53Speaker 5: They don't. Yeah, it's a propaganda network. Yeah, and whatever
- 2:08:57Speaker 5: that propaganda is, I mean that propaganda will shift to
- 2:09:00Speaker 5: niabon who's in control of the realm of the rains
- 2:09:03Speaker 5: rather the realm really is a real realm of nonsense. Well,
- 2:09:07Speaker 5: whoever's in control, they're going to be the ones that
- 2:09:09Speaker 5: dictate how the narrative goes, and it's always going to
- 2:09:12Speaker 5: be whatever the sponsors are. That's why you never hear
- 2:09:15Speaker 5: anything about any of these studies that they're showing about
- 2:09:19Speaker 5: the vaccine safety signals that they found very early on,
- 2:09:22Speaker 5: how they hit it, all this Fauci stuff. They're not
- 2:09:25Speaker 5: showing any of that. The Tulsa Gabbard speech, we talked
- 2:09:28Speaker 5: about that where you know, she gave this speech explaining
- 2:09:31Speaker 5: how he lied to Congress, and Fauci pressured these other
- 2:09:35Speaker 5: scientists changed their perspective on whether or not it was
- 2:09:38Speaker 5: gain to function research.
- 2:09:39Speaker 4: And yeah, the shit that we had a pretty big
- 2:09:42Speaker 4: feeling about back in twenty twenty.
- 2:09:44Speaker 5: Yeah, you don't hear any of these people. They're not
- 2:09:46Speaker 5: covering it. Yeah, and they can't because they can't really
- 2:09:49Speaker 5: tell you the whole news. They can only tell you
- 2:09:51Speaker 5: the news they're approved to tell you. That's not good.
- 2:09:53Speaker 5: And that's how X comes about. That's how X becomes
- 2:09:56Speaker 5: the place where everybody trusts. But then you go to
- 2:09:58Speaker 5: X and it's just filled with horseshit. There's so much lies.
- 2:10:02Speaker 5: There's always video of something happening, and they're saying this
- 2:10:06Speaker 5: is going on right now, and you're like, and then
- 2:10:08Speaker 5: someone says, no, this is a video from twenty twenty two, right,
- 2:10:11Speaker 5: this is in you know, this part of the world
- 2:10:13Speaker 5: is Ai, this is China, this is not Israel, this
- 2:10:16Speaker 5: is you know. It's like, there's so much horseshit and
- 2:10:19Speaker 5: there's so many bots. Yeah, it's like you just dip
- 2:10:23Speaker 5: your toe into the water and you just feel poisoned.
- 2:10:25Speaker 5: You're like I gotta get out of here. Yeah, but
- 2:10:27Speaker 5: then you feel irresponsible for not paying attention exactly. You know.
- 2:10:31Speaker 4: I feel like so many people feel like they're doing
- 2:10:34Speaker 4: the right thing, watching the news and being informed, and
- 2:10:37Speaker 4: they hear that the news is fake and they think
- 2:10:40Speaker 4: that's just like a Trump talking point. I've always said
- 2:10:42Speaker 4: that Trump calling it fake news was like one of
- 2:10:45Speaker 4: the worst things that could happen, because then it sounds
- 2:10:48Speaker 4: like a Trump thing, and the Trump enemies go, oh,
- 2:10:51Speaker 4: fake news. Sure it's fake. If he's saying it, then
- 2:10:53Speaker 4: it can't be fake because we have to disagree with him. Meanwhile,
- 2:10:58Speaker 4: it's a fucking it's a guy damn production. I mean,
- 2:11:02Speaker 4: it is fake, and.
- 2:11:03Speaker 5: They're right, it's fake.
- 2:11:04Speaker 4: Yeah, it's fake.
- 2:11:05Speaker 5: There's a lot of the news it's fake. It's not
- 2:11:07Speaker 5: true all that. I mean, the fact that no one
- 2:11:10Speaker 5: got in trouble for all that Russia Gate.
- 2:11:12Speaker 4: Stuff crazy, absolutely crazy.
- 2:11:15Speaker 5: And that there's still the same people that were pushing
- 2:11:18Speaker 5: that Russia Gate shit or they're still giving opinions on TV. Right,
- 2:11:22Speaker 5: it's nuts.
- 2:11:23Speaker 4: Yeah, there's no repercussions to be found. They get to
- 2:11:25Speaker 4: say whatever they want. It's crazy.
- 2:11:30Speaker 5: Well, the repercussion is no one takes them seriously, m
- 2:11:34Speaker 5: and that's real. They've suffered that. I mean, we've seen
- 2:11:37Speaker 5: that in real time. And I think the pandemic was
- 2:11:40Speaker 5: the big that was the big wake up call for
- 2:11:42Speaker 5: a lot of people, especially people that were forced to
- 2:11:44Speaker 5: take the vaccine because they had jobs or you know,
- 2:11:48Speaker 5: they had a fly, or they had family members, and
- 2:11:51Speaker 5: then they got some horrible side effect and those people
- 2:11:56Speaker 5: got what they call red build you know, I know
- 2:11:58Speaker 5: a lot of people that got red from that. They
- 2:12:01Speaker 5: just can't take it anymore.
- 2:12:03Speaker 4: It's crazy and it's bubbleish, you know what I mean.
- 2:12:07Speaker 4: There's certain areas geographically in which that's the mentality and
- 2:12:13Speaker 4: they stick to it. I mean, here in Austin, I'm
- 2:12:18Speaker 4: known as, you know, a skinny little faggot. I went
- 2:12:23Speaker 4: to LA and it turns out I'm a racist Nazi.
- 2:12:26Speaker 4: Like I'm like, they were doing jokes on me at
- 2:12:29Speaker 4: that roast in which it's like, oh, what are you
- 2:12:32Speaker 4: guys talking about? There's parts Wheund'm literally like, what the fuck?
- 2:12:34Speaker 4: I've never even heard this about myself. I'm on a
- 2:12:36Speaker 4: comedy show every week where people take shots at me,
- 2:12:40Speaker 4: and I've none of this is a thing.
- 2:12:43Speaker 5: Well, it's made up and it's all. They also made
- 2:12:45Speaker 5: up a bunch of stuff about like you going to
- 2:12:47Speaker 5: Saudi Arabia, yeah, which is crazy.
- 2:12:50Speaker 4: Right crazy? They just made it up, yeah, like not
- 2:12:53Speaker 4: only made it up, turned it down, like didn't go
- 2:12:57Speaker 4: when offered vast sums of money that the US boy
- 2:13:00Speaker 4: bag boy Tony would never imagine turning down.
- 2:13:04Speaker 5: And people don't even know that you turned it down
- 2:13:06Speaker 5: because you haven't been public about it.
- 2:13:07Speaker 4: Right, I mentioned it. I glazed over it on one
- 2:13:11Speaker 4: for one moment on Kill Tony once.
- 2:13:13Speaker 5: But yes, people turned down that money? Are you and
- 2:13:16Speaker 5: Shane Gillis? Yeah?
- 2:13:17Speaker 4: And meanwhile Netflix clipped that and put and pinned it
- 2:13:21Speaker 4: on their Instagram, that joke and with the caption long
- 2:13:25Speaker 4: sip because I'm sipping my water because the joke isn't
- 2:13:28Speaker 4: on me, so the cameras shouldn't be on me. Meanwhile,
- 2:13:31Speaker 4: they're getting my reaction shot to all you guys took
- 2:13:34Speaker 4: that Saudi Arabian money and make it makes it look
- 2:13:36Speaker 4: like I'm offended or something or guilty of taking Saudi
- 2:13:40Speaker 4: Arabian money.
- 2:13:41Speaker 5: But just a joke when you just lie about a fact,
- 2:13:44Speaker 5: and to make a joke is crazy because you're just
- 2:13:48Speaker 5: lying like that's there's a difference between that and making
- 2:13:51Speaker 5: a joke about something, like you had to make something
- 2:13:54Speaker 5: true and then criticize them for something. So you got
- 2:13:57Speaker 5: to lie about something and then criticize them about the
- 2:14:00Speaker 5: lie that you just invented. Yeah, which takes three seconds
- 2:14:04Speaker 5: to find out it wasn't true, exactly, It takes a
- 2:14:06Speaker 5: really quick search. Look, oh, he didn't go right, Okay.
- 2:14:10Speaker 4: On the contrary, the guys that Chelsea was complimenting during
- 2:14:15Speaker 4: that set, basically, Kevin Hart and Pete Davidson did take
- 2:14:19Speaker 4: the money and went to Saudi Arabia.
- 2:14:21Speaker 5: Also, you don't think Chelsea Handler would have taken that
- 2:14:23Speaker 5: money if they offered her to go to Saudi Arabia.
- 2:14:25Speaker 5: She went to dinner at Epstein's house. Exactly What the
- 2:14:27Speaker 5: fuck are we talking about?
- 2:14:28Speaker 4: It's all right because Witty Allen was there.
- 2:14:30Speaker 5: Yeah, and apparently she gave him the what have you?
- 2:14:34Speaker 5: She told him, That's what they said. She told him
- 2:14:37Speaker 5: she was very upset with him. Yeah, at the intelligence
- 2:14:42Speaker 5: agent slash sexual predator's house, guys are arrested for a
- 2:14:48Speaker 5: statutory rape. That's fine, though, crazy Just yeah, don't be
- 2:14:53Speaker 5: a white guy it's nice. It's just the whole thing
- 2:14:57Speaker 5: is so stupid. Like if you want to make fun
- 2:15:00Speaker 5: of someone for anything, for you know, you looking gay,
- 2:15:03Speaker 5: are you like you're down with that, But when you
- 2:15:06Speaker 5: invent a fact that's not true, you say it's not
- 2:15:09Speaker 5: true and then you criticize someone for that, Like that's stupid.
- 2:15:12Speaker 5: That's a stupid way to do comedy.
- 2:15:14Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, and the way that it's covered and everything,
- 2:15:17Speaker 4: it's like, what are you guys doing.
- 2:15:19Speaker 5: Well if you didn't know and people didn't know obviously
- 2:15:23Speaker 5: because they laughed, they thought maybe you did go, or
- 2:15:25Speaker 5: maybe Shane did go. They didn't know that you were
- 2:15:27Speaker 5: the two people that did say no. You know, Jessica
- 2:15:31Speaker 5: curse On went and she got criticized so much. She
- 2:15:33Speaker 5: gave her money away. She gave the money away. I
- 2:15:37Speaker 5: think she gave What did she do with the money?
- 2:15:39Speaker 5: Find out what she did. But I was like, oh, man,
- 2:15:42Speaker 5: listen those people that went to see Jessica curse On.
- 2:15:45Speaker 5: First of all, I heard she murdered over there. She's
- 2:15:47Speaker 5: very funny, She's a fucking dynamo. She's a killer on stage,
- 2:15:51Speaker 5: very very entertaining, lovely lady. I love her to does
- 2:15:53Speaker 5: just fun to talk to. She fucking murdered over there.
- 2:15:58Speaker 5: I heard so being woman from New York went to
- 2:16:03Speaker 5: Saudi Arabia. Okay, donates re odd comedy festival fee to
- 2:16:08Speaker 5: human rights campaign. Well, all that money is going to
- 2:16:12Speaker 5: someone's payroll. Yeah, yeah, you feel better, But meanwhile, someone
- 2:16:18Speaker 5: it's paying for someone's salary that's probably not fixing homelessness
- 2:16:21Speaker 5: or whatever the fun it is, and that's what they do.
- 2:16:24Speaker 5: Tom Segurro went and put a photo of a Ferrari
- 2:16:28Speaker 5: and said, thanks Saudi Arabia. But everybody was very upset.
- 2:16:33Speaker 5: But my perspective is the people that are in that audience.
- 2:16:38Speaker 5: If you're upset of the people that are paying and organizing, okay,
- 2:16:42Speaker 5: the people that are in that audience though, that they're
- 2:16:44Speaker 5: performing to they don't get a chance to see American
- 2:16:47Speaker 5: stand up comedy, and they're getting a chance to see
- 2:16:49Speaker 5: it live. And stand up comedy, like music, like literature,
- 2:16:54Speaker 5: changes people's minds. It changes all art where you see
- 2:16:58Speaker 5: someone a different person than you with a totally different
- 2:17:01Speaker 5: perspective that lives on the other side of the world,
- 2:17:02Speaker 5: that says something that you think is hilarious and you
- 2:17:04Speaker 5: love it changes you know, it changes people's perspectives. You
- 2:17:09Speaker 5: win hearts and minds. I mean that's real. Like you
- 2:17:11Speaker 5: can change the world a little bit by getting people
- 2:17:15Speaker 5: to say, hey, we kind of are We all have
- 2:17:18Speaker 5: a lot of shared interests. We just want to have fun.
- 2:17:21Speaker 5: We just want to be with our friends, be with
- 2:17:23Speaker 5: our family and do what we want to do. Like
- 2:17:25Speaker 5: everybody wants that, including those people in the audience. Like
- 2:17:28Speaker 5: those people in the audience in Saudi Arabia were just
- 2:17:30Speaker 5: Saudi Arabian citizens. Are They're just a bunch of people
- 2:17:33Speaker 5: that lived there. They came out to see comedy, like
- 2:17:35Speaker 5: performing in front of them. I mean, what is wrong
- 2:17:40Speaker 5: with that? It's wrong. You're supposed to boycott it because
- 2:17:44Speaker 5: the people that run it probably were involved with the
- 2:17:48Speaker 5: killing of Jamal Kashogi in some way, or the people
- 2:17:51Speaker 5: that finance it. Okay, maybe I see how you didn't
- 2:17:57Speaker 5: want to do it, and I see how Shane didn't
- 2:17:58Speaker 5: want to do it, and I probably pbably wouldn't want
- 2:18:00Speaker 5: do it either. But I don't have any problem with
- 2:18:02Speaker 5: people doing it because I think at the end of
- 2:18:04Speaker 5: the day, you were just like I don't have any
- 2:18:05Speaker 5: problem with Saudi Arabia putting on these boxing matches that
- 2:18:08Speaker 5: I talked about. I love that they put on these
- 2:18:10Speaker 5: boxing matches, And oddly enough, that's not really criticized that much,
- 2:18:14Speaker 5: even by like heavy duty left wing MMA media, which
- 2:18:18Speaker 5: is a real thing. There's a lot of like shit
- 2:18:21Speaker 5: shit libs that are MMA media just because they're journalists
- 2:18:25Speaker 5: and they're just happy to be fans. But they have
- 2:18:27Speaker 5: that like hardcore left wing perspective. They don't seem to
- 2:18:30Speaker 5: have that much of a problem with it, not like
- 2:18:32Speaker 5: people had the problem with the comics over there where
- 2:18:35Speaker 5: guys like Louis and Bill Burr they just get destroyed
- 2:18:38Speaker 5: for that. Yeah, yeah, it's nuts, but I think Sigura
- 2:18:42Speaker 5: had the right move. Just don't even pay attention. Fuck off.
- 2:18:46Speaker 5: I'm gonna perform wherever I want to perform, you know.
- 2:18:50Speaker 4: Yeah, no, it makes sense totally. I just can't go
- 2:18:53Speaker 4: straight from a Trump rally to Saudi Arabia's a little
- 2:18:57Speaker 4: bit of a hop, a skip and a jump.
- 2:19:00Speaker 5: I know. It's also it's like, you know, is that
- 2:19:04Speaker 5: what you want to do? I don't want to go there.
- 2:19:05Speaker 5: It's too long, So I want to be on a
- 2:19:07Speaker 5: plane for sixteen hours to go anywhere.
- 2:19:08Speaker 4: Yeah, that's why I hate it. I hate flying.
- 2:19:12Speaker 5: Yeah, fuck off, it's terrible, come to Texas.
- 2:19:15Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 2:19:18Speaker 5: It's just we live in a very polarized society, and
- 2:19:21Speaker 5: I think a large part of that is what we
- 2:19:23Speaker 5: were talking about earlier with social media and mentally ill
- 2:19:25Speaker 5: people just just screaming into the fucking void every day.
- 2:19:30Speaker 5: I just would like to suggest to people just try
- 2:19:33Speaker 5: not to engage like that for a month and see
- 2:19:37Speaker 5: how much better you feel. Yeah, just try it. Talk
- 2:19:39Speaker 5: and make friends, and hopefully that's not how you've set
- 2:19:42Speaker 5: up your life where you have to do that for
- 2:19:43Speaker 5: a living. Hopefully you're not one of those people, because
- 2:19:45Speaker 5: there are people that are paid posters and they make
- 2:19:47Speaker 5: a pretty good living just posting and getting engagement. Well,
- 2:19:51Speaker 5: you know, I don't know what to tell you. You're trapped, right,
- 2:19:55Speaker 5: you know, if your whole thing is like shitting on
- 2:19:57Speaker 5: people all day long, you're kind of trapped. Yeah, but
- 2:20:00Speaker 5: you can't feel good. There's no way, No, there's no way.
- 2:20:05Speaker 5: It's like the amount of cortisol that must be pumping
- 2:20:07Speaker 5: through your body all day where you're going over and
- 2:20:10Speaker 5: I see like people that do that, I see how
- 2:20:13Speaker 5: they get destroyed and the replies, and I'm like, and
- 2:20:15Speaker 5: I know they're reading that, like good lord, yeah, Like
- 2:20:21Speaker 5: I don't know how Gavin Newsom is still alive. Every
- 2:20:23Speaker 5: time he posts something, the way he gets destroyed in
- 2:20:26Speaker 5: those comments, it's like a fucking insane well, no one
- 2:20:31Speaker 5: is happy.
- 2:20:32Speaker 4: It's just the funniest thing because it's he reminds me
- 2:20:35Speaker 4: of like one of the last actual politicians. Like he's
- 2:20:40Speaker 4: a different just lying, ignoring of facts type of human being.
- 2:20:46Speaker 4: Because we're witnessing it, maybe it's easy for someone in uh,
- 2:20:52Speaker 4: I don't know, New Hampshire to go, ah, that Gavin
- 2:20:55Speaker 4: Newsom is the future. But we lived in California and
- 2:20:59Speaker 4: I been to San Francisco recently and we've seen it.
- 2:21:03Speaker 4: Like when you travel, you know, comedians aren't the end
- 2:21:07Speaker 4: all be all and these whys whatever sages perhaps, but
- 2:21:11Speaker 4: we do travel a lot. And you spend a weekend
- 2:21:15Speaker 4: in a city and you're not just doing your shows.
- 2:21:17Speaker 4: You're having lunch somewhere, you're having coffee somewhere, you're dealing
- 2:21:20Speaker 4: with the people at the hotel, lot, whatever it may be.
- 2:21:23Speaker 4: There's different communications and vibes and energies, and there's so
- 2:21:26Speaker 4: many of these places, especially California. You know, San Diego's
- 2:21:31Speaker 4: like a last stand. Huntington Beach is an area around there.
- 2:21:35Speaker 4: There's like these little pockets in which there's still some
- 2:21:39Speaker 4: common sense and happiness. Enjoy Newport, these little pockets. But
- 2:21:45Speaker 4: those major cities are fucked, man, even the drive, and
- 2:21:50Speaker 4: you know, I go to la basically maybe once a
- 2:21:52Speaker 4: year now for a quick, always fun visit, always doing
- 2:21:56Speaker 4: some arena and a couple of nights at the store
- 2:21:59Speaker 4: which is different print unfortunately. But the drive from Lax
- 2:22:03Speaker 4: to that area of West Hollywood slash Beverly Hills is garuesome.
- 2:22:09Speaker 4: Everything is for lease. Everything is empty. There's nothing new
- 2:22:16Speaker 4: except for the crazy looking weird ass Obama Museum Library,
- 2:22:21Speaker 4: which is the craziest, weirdest I sore humanly imagined.
- 2:22:25Speaker 5: Where's that?
- 2:22:26Speaker 4: It's like on the way up there. I can't remember
- 2:22:29Speaker 4: if it's like off of Los Sienega or fair.
- 2:22:32Speaker 5: That's not the new one, because the new one is
- 2:22:33Speaker 5: in Chicago, isn't it?
- 2:22:35Speaker 4: Oh?
- 2:22:35Speaker 5: It is?
- 2:22:36Speaker 4: What's the fucking They built something that looks just like
- 2:22:39Speaker 4: that monstras so the.
- 2:22:40Speaker 5: One in Chicago. People don't like it. I think it
- 2:22:42Speaker 5: looks dope. It looks like it looks like something from
- 2:22:47Speaker 5: Blade Runner.
- 2:22:48Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:22:49Speaker 5: I like it. A lot of people don't like. But
- 2:22:51Speaker 5: it cost a lot of money. Costs like eight hundred
- 2:22:53Speaker 5: and fifty million dollars. So if you can find out
- 2:22:55Speaker 5: what that building looks like, show me a photos something.
- 2:22:59Speaker 4: That truck's just like that building?
- 2:23:01Speaker 2: Its complex online in Los Angeles?
- 2:23:04Speaker 5: That made who did the Obamas? Okay, what is the
- 2:23:09Speaker 5: the one in Chicago? A lot of people were criticizing
- 2:23:12Speaker 5: it and I saw it. Go that thing looks dope.
- 2:23:14Speaker 5: I love it. Like that thing? Where is it? Yeah?
- 2:23:17Speaker 5: The one there where your cursor is click on that.
- 2:23:20Speaker 5: Oh that's a rendering. I don't think it's not done.
- 2:23:23Speaker 5: I thought people were in it. I don't think what's
- 2:23:26Speaker 5: it down there in.
- 2:23:27Speaker 2: The Lord showed this online and everyone was going crazy.
- 2:23:30Speaker 5: I thought people were already going to it. I don't
- 2:23:32Speaker 5: know that. I think that's it. That looks like a
- 2:23:38Speaker 5: rendering to me, that looks fake as fuck. But that
- 2:23:40Speaker 5: one down there, that one down there with the darkness
- 2:23:44Speaker 5: in the corner, Yeah, right, there is that real. I
- 2:23:53Speaker 5: think that's a real photo. I think it's done. I
- 2:23:56Speaker 5: might be wrong, but see if it's Oh you have
- 2:24:01Speaker 5: Los Angeles Chicago. Yeah, it's real, so it's up. But
- 2:24:08Speaker 5: I think it looks cool. It's different. People are saying
- 2:24:15Speaker 5: it's ugly. It looks like see if you can find
- 2:24:17Speaker 5: photos of it, go to images. Yeah, here we go.
- 2:24:24Speaker 5: Like there, dude, I think that looks dope.
- 2:24:29Speaker 4: Really. Yeah, that window list.
- 2:24:32Speaker 5: Looking out as a writing on the top, what does
- 2:24:33Speaker 5: it say, go all the way up? Please? Oh? Uh?
- 2:24:41Speaker 5: Unconstrained convention by what it's written on two sides, so
- 2:24:48Speaker 5: oh right, oh, it goes all the way around it. Oh,
- 2:24:51Speaker 5: that's fucking cool. I think that looks cool. I mean,
- 2:24:54Speaker 5: maybe I have no taste.
- 2:24:55Speaker 4: I mean, we can't even find an angle of what
- 2:24:58Speaker 4: they're trying to say there.
- 2:25:00Speaker 5: Right, I don't know what it's saying, but I think
- 2:25:02Speaker 5: it's cool that they did that, that they had words
- 2:25:04Speaker 5: that go across like that. I just think it looks sick.
- 2:25:08Speaker 5: But I like that kind of brutalist architecture. I think
- 2:25:11Speaker 5: that's what they call it. Yeah, I like that kind
- 2:25:13Speaker 5: of cool cement with big glass. Like there's a lot
- 2:25:17Speaker 5: of houses like that, especially like in the Hollywood Hills
- 2:25:19Speaker 5: that I love. I looked at one of them back
- 2:25:23Speaker 5: when I was starting to make that Cheddar, and I
- 2:25:27Speaker 5: was like, maybe I should live in Hollywood and then
- 2:25:29Speaker 5: I could just do the store right there. But I
- 2:25:31Speaker 5: was like, probably not that safe. I looked at the
- 2:25:35Speaker 5: house above the store that MITSI was selling. What was
- 2:25:41Speaker 5: on Colefax was that what it was was that those street.
- 2:25:44Speaker 5: It was the comic store, the comic house where like
- 2:25:47Speaker 5: Kennison stayed there and Paully lived there for a while.
- 2:25:50Speaker 5: But I had dogs, and I was like, this is
- 2:25:52Speaker 5: not enough backyard. It's too small. And also it's like
- 2:25:55Speaker 5: it's too close to the machine. Yeah, it's like right
- 2:25:58Speaker 5: next to the beast. Like I don't know if I
- 2:26:00Speaker 5: want to be like right next to the beast. I
- 2:26:02Speaker 5: think I'd rather be outside the beast and go visit
- 2:26:04Speaker 5: like that for me for my head. But I looked
- 2:26:07Speaker 5: at a couple of houses up there, and one of
- 2:26:09Speaker 5: them was this house that was like, really, it was
- 2:26:12Speaker 5: out of my budget. Really, I was just I shouldn't
- 2:26:14Speaker 5: have been looking at it. It's like ten million bucks
- 2:26:16Speaker 5: and it had crazy like like concrete with massive windows.
- 2:26:22Speaker 5: But it was right there on the street. Like you're
- 2:26:26Speaker 5: walking on the street, there's a sidewalk you could read
- 2:26:28Speaker 5: over and touch the front door. Of the house. I
- 2:26:31Speaker 5: was like, yeah, this is kind of crazy to buy
- 2:26:33Speaker 5: this house, and the guy was like, don't worry, we
- 2:26:35Speaker 5: have a state of the art security system. So I go, yeah,
- 2:26:37Speaker 5: you know what that is. I go, your cameras are
- 2:26:39Speaker 5: going to catch a guy with a ski mask robbing you.
- 2:26:42Speaker 5: And two weeks after I said that, the guy who
- 2:26:45Speaker 5: in the house got shot in it. Whoa two weeks
- 2:26:48Speaker 5: got shot in the neck. Fuck yeah damn. Yeah.
- 2:26:54Speaker 4: Yeah, So hey that's these places, man.
- 2:26:58Speaker 5: But that kind of art nitecture, I think it's dope.
- 2:27:01Speaker 5: I like like that crazy modern cement stuff. But for
- 2:27:04Speaker 5: a house like what you're going to live in, the
- 2:27:07Speaker 5: reality is you'd probably be like, I'm sleeping in a museum.
- 2:27:10Speaker 5: This is too weird. Yeah, I'd rather just have a
- 2:27:12Speaker 5: regular house.
- 2:27:13Speaker 4: Yeah, windows are a necessity.
- 2:27:17Speaker 5: Yeah, I just want to see stuff. I just want
- 2:27:19Speaker 5: to be able to have a cup of coffee and
- 2:27:21Speaker 5: see some trees. You know, let me just sit down
- 2:27:23Speaker 5: and fucking collect my thoughts for the day. You know,
- 2:27:27Speaker 5: I don't necessarily need to be in a fucking museum.
- 2:27:31Speaker 5: Concrete ass big, It's there's something weird about it. It's like,
- 2:27:35Speaker 5: you're too weird. If you live like that, You're weird. Man.
- 2:27:38Speaker 5: You're living with his giant twenty foot high glass wall
- 2:27:45Speaker 5: in front of you that looks out at the blade
- 2:27:48Speaker 5: Runner scape that is Los Angeles from the hills. Have
- 2:27:50Speaker 5: you're seen that view at night? Have you ever been
- 2:27:53Speaker 5: up to a house? Oh?
- 2:27:53Speaker 4: Yeah, have you seen this house? Oh that's sick.
- 2:27:56Speaker 5: I love that house.
- 2:27:57Speaker 2: It's known as like the Oakley Founder's house. I don't
- 2:27:59Speaker 2: know if he still owns.
- 2:28:00Speaker 5: But yeah, that's up there. Yeah, that house I love.
- 2:28:03Speaker 5: See if I was single and a baller, that's where
- 2:28:06Speaker 5: I would live. Two hundred and ten million a bargain.
- 2:28:11Speaker 5: I fucking love that shit. I see shit like that,
- 2:28:14Speaker 5: I'm like, oh my god, that's where I love it.
- 2:28:17Speaker 5: But I don't want to live there for real. Yeah,
- 2:28:19Speaker 5: I think after a while you would be like, I'd
- 2:28:21Speaker 5: rather have a log house.
- 2:28:22Speaker 2: I'm trying to find pictures of Kanye's concrete house, but
- 2:28:25Speaker 2: this is not the.
- 2:28:25Speaker 5: One of them. That's fucking dope. I just love those
- 2:28:28Speaker 5: kind of houses that look like that, especially that one
- 2:28:32Speaker 5: that's circular one. The way you pull into that driveway
- 2:28:35Speaker 5: and the entire back house faces the lights, and you
- 2:28:40Speaker 5: see the lights like it's hard to see from photos
- 2:28:43Speaker 5: of how look how sick that looks man, that's sick.
- 2:28:47Speaker 5: I love that. But the lights from that, like if
- 2:28:50Speaker 5: you're up in the hills, you want to be above
- 2:28:53Speaker 5: looking down, and it's like a movie. It's like a
- 2:28:55Speaker 5: sci fi movie. It's one of the coolest fucking views
- 2:28:58Speaker 5: I've ever seen.
- 2:28:58Speaker 4: Polly has the fucking as crazy as it sounds, that
- 2:29:01Speaker 4: motherfucker when he made it. He bought a house that's
- 2:29:05Speaker 4: on top, top, top top top of the Hollywood Hills
- 2:29:08Speaker 4: with that MTV money. Yeah, dude, it's crazy. He remodeled
- 2:29:12Speaker 4: it recently. When I was there for the festival. He's like, dude,
- 2:29:15Speaker 4: you got to come see the house. Come see the house.
- 2:29:17Speaker 4: I'm like, Pollie, I'm so busy. That's very highly unlikely.
- 2:29:21Speaker 4: Come see the house, dude, you got to come to
- 2:29:23Speaker 4: the house. Sure enough, I went there one afternoon for
- 2:29:25Speaker 4: a fucking coffee.
- 2:29:27Speaker 5: Bro.
- 2:29:28Speaker 4: It is crazy. He was right. He's got the house.
- 2:29:31Speaker 4: He did it. It's on top of everything, so there's
- 2:29:36Speaker 4: if a robber does try to go up there, they're
- 2:29:38Speaker 4: robbing someone else's house. They don't want to go to
- 2:29:40Speaker 4: the tippy top of the fucking hill. That's a tough escape.
- 2:29:44Speaker 5: That's the problem with the escape. Yeah, you want to
- 2:29:46Speaker 5: be close to the bottom right right. Speaking of which
- 2:29:50Speaker 5: I've been watching I got I went down a rabbit
- 2:29:53Speaker 5: hole the other day. On YouTube, we're street racers and
- 2:29:57Speaker 5: there's this one guy who is like a famous street
- 2:30:01Speaker 5: racer because there's all these videos of him. He got
- 2:30:04Speaker 5: his uh, his things set up where he can shut
- 2:30:07Speaker 5: the lights off. He's got this black Corvette. I'm gonna
- 2:30:10Speaker 5: send this to you, Jamie.
- 2:30:12Speaker 2: I've seen those guy.
- 2:30:13Speaker 5: Yeah, his name is really slow, like r y L
- 2:30:18Speaker 5: s l O. And he's got videos of these cop
- 2:30:24Speaker 5: encounters so they like baits cops and then it goes
- 2:30:27Speaker 5: on these mad runs and you watch it, you go,
- 2:30:30Speaker 5: holy shit, I love it. Yes, this is the dude. Yeah, yeah,
- 2:30:38Speaker 5: this is well. He's like a legend online because he
- 2:30:41Speaker 5: does interviews only with a voice changer where wors the
- 2:30:45Speaker 5: burche dirt where he describes all the modifications that he
- 2:30:49Speaker 5: did to his car. But he puts a three D
- 2:30:52Speaker 5: camera on the back of his car and he uh,
- 2:30:56Speaker 5: you know they have those things where he's sticking on
- 2:30:57Speaker 5: the back of your car and he gives you a
- 2:30:59Speaker 5: three review of the automobile, and he has video of
- 2:31:03Speaker 5: the cops like flashing their lights and his car has
- 2:31:06Speaker 5: got one thousand plus horsepower. So these poor cops and
- 2:31:10Speaker 5: they're like three hundred horsepower fucking Crown Victoria. They try
- 2:31:14Speaker 5: to chase this guy and he just disappears. And then
- 2:31:16Speaker 5: once he gets out of the line, like, go back
- 2:31:20Speaker 5: to that video where it was before. Watch this.
- 2:31:22Speaker 2: I mean it's this is it's just edited.
- 2:31:24Speaker 5: It's not his videos. It's just somebody I understand. But
- 2:31:26Speaker 5: if you just I know this video, but if you
- 2:31:28Speaker 5: what what he does is they start pulling them over,
- 2:31:31Speaker 5: and in the beginning, when they pull him over, he
- 2:31:33Speaker 5: hits the gas and then shuts his lights off. Did
- 2:31:36Speaker 5: you pass that? Sus here?
- 2:31:37Speaker 4: It is? So so this is it.
- 2:31:39Speaker 5: So they hit the lights and he's like see, uh
- 2:31:44Speaker 5: are they gonna show it? Okay, So it's not the compilation.
- 2:31:48Speaker 5: So when he does it and he hits the gas,
- 2:31:51Speaker 5: he gets far here it is, he gets far enough
- 2:31:53Speaker 5: away from them. They're not showing it. These motherfuckers. They
- 2:31:57Speaker 5: have to edit their own ship. Leaving it alone is better.
- 2:32:00Speaker 5: So he gets ahead of everybody and then just he
- 2:32:02Speaker 5: has a button where it kills his headlights and he's
- 2:32:05Speaker 5: using night vision. Oh wow, yeah, it's nuts. So is
- 2:32:09Speaker 5: this it? Yeah? Yes, this is it? So this is
- 2:32:13Speaker 5: this guy? So his license plate says will run like
- 2:32:17Speaker 5: it's a fake. It's a fake license plate. The cops
- 2:32:19Speaker 5: get up behind him, they hit the lights, and he
- 2:32:21Speaker 5: goes by, and the cops realize there's no way to
- 2:32:26Speaker 5: catch this guy. It's not look at that. Lights go
- 2:32:28Speaker 5: out and he's gone, and he's flashing lights on people
- 2:32:33Speaker 5: to get them the fuck out of the way, and
- 2:32:34Speaker 5: there's no way to catch him. And then he bangs
- 2:32:37Speaker 5: U turns. He knows where he's going, he plots it out.
- 2:32:40Speaker 5: And the thing is, he's filming this and uploading it.
- 2:32:44Speaker 5: So he's got to hide his identity through how many
- 2:32:46Speaker 5: different channels? How does Instagram not know who he is?
- 2:32:49Speaker 5: How is he posting? I guess he's using a VPN,
- 2:32:52Speaker 5: He's probably using a proxy, and he's probably going through
- 2:32:55Speaker 5: some other country or something if he's smart, if he's
- 2:32:57Speaker 5: smart enough to avoid detection. But he just has these
- 2:33:02Speaker 5: fucking crazy car bills, Like he's got a Calvo viper
- 2:33:06Speaker 5: that has like I mean, I don't know how many
- 2:33:09Speaker 5: fucking horsepower that thing has but they make some of
- 2:33:13Speaker 5: these Carvo vipers. It's a company here in Texas. They
- 2:33:16Speaker 5: make vipers that have two thousand horsepower. What like, what
- 2:33:21Speaker 5: are you talking about?
- 2:33:22Speaker 2: Don't know where does he always do it in the
- 2:33:24Speaker 2: same I think he's in the Dallas area.
- 2:33:27Speaker 5: How fun? Well yeah, well not good if you kill somebody.
- 2:33:31Speaker 5: But it's uh, very spooky. Yeah, it's nuts, man, because
- 2:33:38Speaker 5: this fucking dude really knows how to drive too. And
- 2:33:41Speaker 5: you see these poor cops and one of them the
- 2:33:43Speaker 5: cops wipe out. They slam it into another car, and
- 2:33:46Speaker 5: they're trying to pass by these cones and the road
- 2:33:49Speaker 5: cuts off and the cop hits the cones, then loses
- 2:33:52Speaker 5: the control of his car and slams into another car.
- 2:33:54Speaker 5: So like, people can fucking die, especially if he runs
- 2:33:58Speaker 5: a red light and it runs a lot of them
- 2:34:00Speaker 5: and someone's being an idiot. Maybe someone's doing exactly what
- 2:34:03Speaker 5: he's doing while he's running the red light.
- 2:34:04Speaker 4: Dude, you have to see what Kanye is doing right now.
- 2:34:07Speaker 4: It's a historical moment in all of art. It's unbelievable.
- 2:34:10Speaker 5: Yeah, you said he's standing on the globe right, Well.
- 2:34:13Speaker 4: Not only that, he thought entire everything is a super production,
- 2:34:19Speaker 4: and it's all him, Like you could tell, he's made
- 2:34:22Speaker 4: every decision and tweaked everything to the color of everything
- 2:34:27Speaker 4: to win it happens to how it happens. That it's
- 2:34:29Speaker 4: not too much. He's not overwhelming the senses with lasers
- 2:34:33Speaker 4: and lights and all of this. It's all so strategic.
- 2:34:37Speaker 4: But most importantly it's first of all, it's the fucking
- 2:34:40Speaker 4: greatest production I've ever seen of anything. And I come
- 2:34:43Speaker 4: from pink floyd Land, where the live show has to
- 2:34:46Speaker 4: be ahead of its time and state of the art
- 2:34:48Speaker 4: and everything for my mind to be blown. And I
- 2:34:51Speaker 4: was expecting this to be like every other rap concert
- 2:34:55Speaker 4: that I've seen, which is going to be fun and
- 2:34:57Speaker 4: good and maybe great. Of course it'll be great, But
- 2:35:00Speaker 4: this was like a thousand times my expectations, because first
- 2:35:05Speaker 4: of all, he's doing pop up shows at stadiums, which
- 2:35:07Speaker 4: is crazy. He announces it a week or two in advance,
- 2:35:10Speaker 4: and the stadium's like, okay, we're sitting empty that night.
- 2:35:13Speaker 4: We love to sell beer and water and get a
- 2:35:16Speaker 4: percentage of merch right, how these venues work. They don't
- 2:35:19Speaker 4: give a fuck, and he's not promoting it. Everyone else
- 2:35:22Speaker 4: that's been to one or seen one is promoting it,
- 2:35:25Speaker 4: and then the mayor of whatever city or whatever leftist
- 2:35:30Speaker 4: person whether it be the governor of that state or
- 2:35:32Speaker 4: whatever's like, this shouldn't be happening, so they're promoting it
- 2:35:35Speaker 4: for him, and it's filled to the top of the
- 2:35:38Speaker 4: fucking stadium. Whereas even Pink Floyd or the Rolling Stones
- 2:35:42Speaker 4: or whoever announces a tour all at once and goes, hey,
- 2:35:45Speaker 4: buy tickets, I'm on tour, pretty please, come right, He's
- 2:35:49Speaker 4: just like San Antonio July fourth, a week ago, literally,
- 2:35:54Speaker 4: And what's crazy is that my buddy got me tickets
- 2:35:58Speaker 4: to go see him in Tampa, because as all we
- 2:36:01Speaker 4: knew is that he was going to Tampa. And so
- 2:36:04Speaker 4: there I was, and I'm looking and it's filled to
- 2:36:08Speaker 4: the top and the floor is filled, and it's he
- 2:36:12Speaker 4: doesn't stop, he doesn't take a break. I saw that
- 2:36:16Speaker 4: on Instagram after his first one that he did. I
- 2:36:18Speaker 4: think it was in LA and I'm like, oh, that's crazy.
- 2:36:21Speaker 4: I need to see this.
- 2:36:23Speaker 5: That is nuts. That stage is nuts.
- 2:36:25Speaker 4: But these pictures and videos do not do any justice
- 2:36:29Speaker 4: to what is happening sound wise, energy wise.
- 2:36:33Speaker 5: Just that stage alone is fucking insane.
- 2:36:36Speaker 4: It's crazy. And he enters at the he walks through
- 2:36:40Speaker 4: the crowd because obviously it's in the round. He comes
- 2:36:43Speaker 4: out and you hear a pop from one side because
- 2:36:46Speaker 4: they can kind of see him, and then the globe
- 2:36:48Speaker 4: turns on, and you know, he waits until it's dark,
- 2:36:50Speaker 4: so he he enters one point and then inside is
- 2:36:55Speaker 4: a a a lift that only takes him, so like
- 2:37:01Speaker 4: there's no one that can storm that stage or anything
- 2:37:03Speaker 4: because it's inflatable on the outside, so it's an impossible
- 2:37:08Speaker 4: impossible to you know, storm the stage or anything like that.
- 2:37:13Speaker 4: And he's the only one that has access to the
- 2:37:15Speaker 4: lift obviously, and he has a tether that he's attached
- 2:37:19Speaker 4: to so that he doesn't go off or anything.
- 2:37:21Speaker 5: So doesn't fall into the balloon exactly.
- 2:37:24Speaker 4: And it is the most diabolical show I've ever seen
- 2:37:27Speaker 4: in my entire life ever, and that includes all the
- 2:37:30Speaker 4: fucking everything's And again I come from the school of
- 2:37:33Speaker 4: Pink Floyd, which is always ten twenty years ahead of
- 2:37:36Speaker 4: its time production wise, and this was fucking nuts because
- 2:37:41Speaker 4: he does not stop, He does not take a break,
- 2:37:44Speaker 4: he doesn't go thank you guys for coming out until
- 2:37:46Speaker 4: the very end in which he goes it's all about love.
- 2:37:49Speaker 4: I love you guys, thanks for sticking with me all
- 2:37:51Speaker 4: these years when all these people said this, and then
- 2:37:53Speaker 4: by that point two and a half hours in when
- 2:37:55Speaker 4: he's saying that, you're just like, you gotta be fucking
- 2:37:58Speaker 4: kidding me.
- 2:37:58Speaker 5: Can we realized the b of his work? How many
- 2:38:01Speaker 5: bangers that guy has? Oh, it's nuts bangers.
- 2:38:06Speaker 4: And I, as an experiment, took my one buddy who
- 2:38:09Speaker 4: said that, uh, you know, part of the group was
- 2:38:11Speaker 4: my one friend who has always been like, I don't know,
- 2:38:14Speaker 4: you fucking love Kanye. I mean not really my thing,
- 2:38:18Speaker 4: but he's not. He's just not really a rap fan,
- 2:38:20Speaker 4: is the reality. So I invited him on this trip
- 2:38:24Speaker 4: and his mind was fucking now he's a diehard Kanye fan.
- 2:38:27Speaker 4: Now he's going back and you know, realizing that he's
- 2:38:31Speaker 4: always been a Kanye fan. Like it's such a crazy
- 2:38:35Speaker 4: fucking thing because not only does he have hits on
- 2:38:37Speaker 4: hits on hits, but he does not stop in between
- 2:38:42Speaker 4: songs because some of his beats kind of correlate or this,
- 2:38:45Speaker 4: and that. He'll literally just keep going and going and
- 2:38:49Speaker 4: going until his amazing. On his new album, he has
- 2:38:53Speaker 4: this keyboardist with one of those like crazy blow into
- 2:38:57Speaker 4: tube instrument things. I don't know what it's called, but
- 2:39:01Speaker 4: he has a solo, a big one on one of
- 2:39:04Speaker 4: the songs, which is gives Kanye a minute and a
- 2:39:07Speaker 4: half to catch his breath an hour and a half
- 2:39:10Speaker 4: into non stop going. And also on top of all that,
- 2:39:15Speaker 4: you know, a rap concert's a rap concert, but Kanye
- 2:39:18Speaker 4: is the greatest producer of all time in that industry.
- 2:39:21Speaker 4: So every noise that's happening, even if he's not talking
- 2:39:26Speaker 4: or singing or rapping into a microphone, is all him
- 2:39:30Speaker 4: and him only, you know what I mean. Like he
- 2:39:33Speaker 4: might get an idea or an inspiration as we've talked about,
- 2:39:37Speaker 4: or he's a master of sampling old hit songs and
- 2:39:41Speaker 4: having them be in the backbone of the thing and everything,
- 2:39:44Speaker 4: but this is it's just a whole nother level absolute insanity.
- 2:39:49Speaker 4: Like I thought I was going to go there and
- 2:39:50Speaker 4: be like, yeah, and maybe you know, move a little
- 2:39:53Speaker 4: bitter sing along or whatever, and instead my job was
- 2:39:56Speaker 4: dropped the entire time.
- 2:39:57Speaker 5: Is there anybody that ever bounced back from being canceled
- 2:40:00Speaker 5: like him?
- 2:40:01Speaker 4: And that's really the underlying thing. There's this feeling of
- 2:40:05Speaker 4: loyalty that's there and we're right, you know what I mean,
- 2:40:10Speaker 4: there's a feeling that everybody there is like they're correct.
- 2:40:15Speaker 4: Does that make sense? I saw a breakdown of it
- 2:40:17Speaker 4: because my algorithm's feeding me Kanye's stuff NonStop since I
- 2:40:21Speaker 4: went to it because somehow fucking Instagram knows and whatever.
- 2:40:25Speaker 4: And I watched a breakdown of it talking about how
- 2:40:29Speaker 4: it's like this psychiatrist or energy specialist or something that's
- 2:40:33Speaker 4: talking about how and why this is the craziest concert
- 2:40:36Speaker 4: ever done before, and she breaks it down and goes
- 2:40:41Speaker 4: people that like Kanye believe in themselves because if Kanye
- 2:40:48Speaker 4: saying I'm the greatest, I'm the man, I'm a god,
- 2:40:51Speaker 4: all of these things makes you not like him and
- 2:40:55Speaker 4: you insecure. You're insecure? Does that make sense? Like it's
- 2:41:00Speaker 4: like he If that turns you off to somebody, then
- 2:41:03Speaker 4: you don't really like yourself that much?
- 2:41:06Speaker 5: Why do you think that?
- 2:41:08Speaker 4: Well, again, this was someone else's psychological breakdown of it,
- 2:41:11Speaker 4: and I'm probably not explaining it correct because I was
- 2:41:13Speaker 4: stoned on a couch.
- 2:41:14Speaker 5: I see what they would be saying to try to
- 2:41:16Speaker 5: defend him. But there's some people that just get turned
- 2:41:19Speaker 5: off by that kind of braggadocious rap music. I don't, right,
- 2:41:25Speaker 5: I love that shit. Well, I love nineties hip hop
- 2:41:30Speaker 5: talking about how great they are. I love it. Yeah,
- 2:41:32Speaker 5: I'm a giant fan of that shit. Yeah, you know,
- 2:41:35Speaker 5: I think like some of my favorite rap lyrics, like
- 2:41:38Speaker 5: some of NAS's lyrics, just him talking about how he's
- 2:41:40Speaker 5: the shit.
- 2:41:41Speaker 4: Yeah, totally.
- 2:41:43Speaker 5: I don't mind it at all. But it's like it's
- 2:41:46Speaker 5: when you're singing along to that stuff and you're listening
- 2:41:49Speaker 5: to that stuff, like you're feeling what that guy's feeling
- 2:41:52Speaker 5: when he's saying it, and if his raps are hit,
- 2:41:54Speaker 5: if his rhymes are really hitting, especially like Kanye or
- 2:41:59Speaker 5: any of the greats, you know, Biggie Tupac, Nas, like
- 2:42:02Speaker 5: when when they're now, it's like, oh, with good lyrics
- 2:42:07Speaker 5: and good execution, it's a It's a fucking amazing art form.
- 2:42:11Speaker 5: Even if USA really did create it, yeah, I don't.
- 2:42:15Speaker 5: I don't want to believe that, you know, I think
- 2:42:18Speaker 5: they probably very they promoted it. What's really interesting is
- 2:42:22Speaker 5: the lack of big rock and roll bands. I know
- 2:42:25Speaker 5: Jamie's kind of defended this, but I think it's a fact,
- 2:42:28Speaker 5: no doubt, there's less big rock and roll bands than
- 2:42:31Speaker 5: when we were a kid. When we were a kid,
- 2:42:33Speaker 5: rock and roll was everything. It was like rock and roll,
- 2:42:36Speaker 5: and if you liked rock and rap, like you are
- 2:42:38Speaker 5: a weirdo, you know, Like I really became a rap fan,
- 2:42:43Speaker 5: like almost like silently, like secretly, because you got to
- 2:42:49Speaker 5: be a rock fan if you if you loved rock
- 2:42:51Speaker 5: music and you went to rock concerts, like that's all
- 2:42:53Speaker 5: you liked. But I was like, yeah, but this is
- 2:42:55Speaker 5: good too. You know, I'd like listen to ghetto boys.
- 2:42:57Speaker 5: I'd be like, you gotta listen to this, Come listen
- 2:42:59Speaker 5: to this. Ship is awesome.
- 2:43:00Speaker 4: Yeah, oh my range is absolutely ridiculous. I just got
- 2:43:06Speaker 4: Roy Orbison on vinyl. Oh oh yeah, oh my god.
- 2:43:12Speaker 4: And again that's one.
- 2:43:13Speaker 5: We're gonna be in trouble for that fuck.
- 2:43:18Speaker 4: And again pretty Woman, much like Pink Floyd's Wish You
- 2:43:22Speaker 4: Were Here, is like one of my when you get
- 2:43:24Speaker 4: into the radio stuff. It's kind of funny how some
- 2:43:26Speaker 4: bands and musicians get like type casted by their hit
- 2:43:31Speaker 4: whereas like pretty Woman's kind of repetitive and easy even
- 2:43:34Speaker 4: though it's a jam, right, but his other songs that
- 2:43:38Speaker 4: like I hadn't even heard before because I'm like this
- 2:43:41Speaker 4: guy seems like he has some fucking some hits and
- 2:43:44Speaker 4: he does. Man, And uh, you know what I mean
- 2:43:48Speaker 4: by the Pink Floyd thing. Is it always fascinated me
- 2:43:51Speaker 4: that people go, oh yeah, I like Pink Floyd, wish
- 2:43:53Speaker 4: you were here, another brick in the wall, and it's like,
- 2:43:55Speaker 4: damn it. It's because those are the radio songs, because
- 2:43:58Speaker 4: they can't play an eleven minute long shine on You,
- 2:44:01Speaker 4: Crazy Diamond, right, all their real hits that they're real echoes,
- 2:44:06Speaker 4: which is like seventeen minutes and go slow and fast
- 2:44:09Speaker 4: and bluesy and then jazzy and this and that.
- 2:44:14Speaker 5: Yeah, there were so many songs like that, especially from
- 2:44:16Speaker 5: like the seventies where they just took wild chances and
- 2:44:19Speaker 5: long ass songs like for famously pre bird like record
- 2:44:24Speaker 5: executives are telling them like the beginning of it is
- 2:44:26Speaker 5: too slow, yep, and they're like, nope, this is the
- 2:44:30Speaker 5: song exactly, this is what it is.
- 2:44:32Speaker 4: Bohemian City, Yep.
- 2:44:34Speaker 5: There's another one. Yeah, A whole Lot of Love. Yeah,
- 2:44:37Speaker 5: A whole Lot of Love is a minute and a
- 2:44:38Speaker 5: half of fuck sounds and symbols and shit, it's weird.
- 2:44:44Speaker 4: I only recently got to see the Queen movie whatever
- 2:44:48Speaker 4: that is is that Bohemian Rhapsody? So whatever they I.
- 2:44:52Speaker 5: Haven't seen it.
- 2:44:53Speaker 4: Yeah, well I walked in on a part where it's
- 2:44:56Speaker 4: the record they're at the record executive's office and he going,
- 2:45:00Speaker 4: this can't be the main single off of this thing,
- 2:45:04Speaker 4: and Freddie Mercury's like, dude, it fucking has and I'm
- 2:45:08Speaker 4: obviously not quoting this, but uh. And the record execs like, man,
- 2:45:13Speaker 4: you're saying gibberish at points, it's slow with a piano,
- 2:45:18Speaker 4: you're saying things that don't even make sense, and it's
- 2:45:21Speaker 4: fucking eight minutes long, Like what are you thinking? And
- 2:45:24Speaker 4: they're arguing back and forth and back and forth. And
- 2:45:27Speaker 4: his bass player, guitarist or one of the guys that's
- 2:45:30Speaker 4: in the meeting with this record exec sitting behind a
- 2:45:32Speaker 4: big fancy desk, points at the wall and goes, so
- 2:45:35Speaker 4: you were the record exec that made this?
- 2:45:36Speaker 5: Huh?
- 2:45:37Speaker 4: And he points at dark side of the Moon and
- 2:45:39Speaker 4: you see the record exec. Ah fuck, because what the
- 2:45:44Speaker 4: fuck was that? It starts with a heartbeat, has no
- 2:45:48Speaker 4: words for the first what however?
- 2:45:50Speaker 5: Long? Also, what is the deal with it aligning with
- 2:45:53Speaker 5: the Wizard of Oz? Crazy Roger says it's just coincidental,
- 2:45:58Speaker 5: I know, but it seems like the universe organized it. Yeah,
- 2:46:01Speaker 5: it almost seems like evidence of the simulation. Yep, because
- 2:46:05Speaker 5: it's so good, the way it lines up, it's too good.
- 2:46:08Speaker 4: I've always said it's the craziest coincidence of all times.
- 2:46:11Speaker 5: I feel like it's evidence of the simulation. There's something
- 2:46:15Speaker 5: about it. There's evidence of like some weird, bizarre synchronicity
- 2:46:18Speaker 5: between those two pieces of art.
- 2:46:21Speaker 2: Producing that would have been near impossible.
- 2:46:23Speaker 5: Impossible, not like you couldn't, but just and so things. Yeah, technology, yeah,
- 2:46:31Speaker 5: so hard. Pink Floyd would have had to They would
- 2:46:33Speaker 5: have literally have to watch it and then go over
- 2:46:36Speaker 5: each beat and decide.
- 2:46:39Speaker 2: How high was the person that figured it out to
- 2:46:41Speaker 2: right right and discussed but like, how do you notice that?
- 2:46:45Speaker 2: Hold on, it's going, it's still going.
- 2:46:48Speaker 5: But meanwhile it's perfect, Like we've watched it before.
- 2:46:52Speaker 4: It's perfect. The lyrics are the scariest part. Which one
- 2:46:56Speaker 4: is which at one point when only when the only
- 2:47:00Speaker 4: moment when both the good Witch and the Bad Witch
- 2:47:03Speaker 4: are there, Yeah, it's nuts. And the wildest one to
- 2:47:07Speaker 4: me is always when she's balancing on the thing, you know,
- 2:47:10Speaker 4: in black and white with the other farmers around and
- 2:47:13Speaker 4: on the run. That crazy bl blah blah blit starts
- 2:47:16Speaker 4: and she falls off at that exact moment, and chaos
- 2:47:20Speaker 4: is happening. It's crazy.
- 2:47:22Speaker 2: Is there a why in that conspiracy?
- 2:47:24Speaker 5: You know?
- 2:47:24Speaker 2: Like, why would they have done that just to do.
- 2:47:27Speaker 5: It just for fundies? Because yeah, well, I mean, Roger
- 2:47:33Speaker 5: Water says it was an accident. I know. I'm just saying, like,
- 2:47:36Speaker 5: I know, I know, But the conspiracy theorists, I don't know.
- 2:47:38Speaker 5: I mean, I would imagine they think that I brought
- 2:47:42Speaker 5: the people that believed that it was some sort of
- 2:47:44Speaker 5: a coordinated conspiracy. It's like, why wouldn't they say that.
- 2:47:48Speaker 5: Why wouldn't they just say we we lined it up
- 2:47:50Speaker 5: with the Wizard of Oz. Yeah, they said that would
- 2:47:53Speaker 5: make more people watch it and more people listen.
- 2:47:56Speaker 4: Well, they did pretty good off of Yeah, they.
- 2:47:59Speaker 5: Did pretty good. Who will we to give them advice? Yeah,
- 2:48:02Speaker 5: speaking doing pretty good. You're fucking killing it, dude. Congratulations,
- 2:48:05Speaker 5: it's awesome watching it all.
- 2:48:07Speaker 4: Thank you man.
- 2:48:08Speaker 5: You're taking all the hits. Keep on moving, keep on trucking.
- 2:48:10Speaker 5: Just makes it stronger on the next one. Makes the
- 2:48:12Speaker 5: jokes better. New jokes are killing it.
- 2:48:14Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:48:15Speaker 5: Yeah, it's fun. We're having a good time.
- 2:48:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:48:17Speaker 4: Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the best, working them out at
- 2:48:19Speaker 4: the Mother Show.
- 2:48:20Speaker 5: Yes, sir, all right, I appreciate your brother, Thank you man. Yeah.
- 2:48:23Speaker 5: By Buddy
