  Speaker 1: I discovered. What prayer did for me was was it

  Speaker 1: tied me to my creator. It gave me a sense

  Speaker 1: it's deeper than this. But it gave me a sense

  Speaker 1: that I wasn't alone, and at actuality I wasn't. But

  Speaker 1: prayer helped connect me to the power source that was

  Speaker 1: available to me to get through, get around, or get
• 1:50
  Speaker 1: over whatever it was that was in the way, whether
• 1:55
  Speaker 1: it was just a period I stretched, I had to

  Speaker 1: go through hard work. It had to period I had

  Speaker 1: to go through to learn some lessons, some periods I

  Speaker 1: had to go through from having to pay for some

  Speaker 1: of the mistakes I've made. Whatever the case may be,

  Speaker 1: Prayer gave me a decided advantage, especially, oh, here we go,

  Speaker 1: especially over my enemies. Now, the majority of people in

  Speaker 1: my life that were my enemies, I didn't want them

  Speaker 1: to be my enemies, make no mistake about this. But

  Speaker 1: through the thing called life, some things went down. Some

  Speaker 1: things happened from here and then went over here and

  Speaker 1: over that way, and a person became my enemy. The

  Speaker 1: majority of enemies I have came out of nowhere. I

  Speaker 1: have no reason to even see why they are my enemies.

  Speaker 1: But you know, life goes on, man, It happens from

  Speaker 1: time to time. Some people just won't let it go.

  Speaker 1: See some people, in their quest to do something to

  Speaker 1: you or to make you pay, they just won't let

  Speaker 1: it go. What it may cause you some discomfort, and

  Speaker 1: some of it may be lies about you and all

  Speaker 1: of this and all of that, but that that can't

  Speaker 1: prohibit you from going forward. So what I'm saying is

  Speaker 1: prayer gave me the strength, wisdom understanding the carriage to
• 3:21
  Speaker 1: either go through it, go around it, or go over it.

  Speaker 1: But it happened. I do not know how I could

  Speaker 1: have made it without faith and without prayer. It would have.

  Speaker 1: Something would have got me. YouTube would have got me.

  Speaker 1: The bloggers would have got me. My partners that I

  Speaker 1: grew up with that used to laugh behind my back,
• 3:53
  Speaker 1: they would have got me. My friend that went over
• 3:57
  Speaker 1: my mother's house one time and told her, you know
• 3:59
  Speaker 1: what Steve's problem is, he out there telling them jokes.

  Speaker 1: He just lazy, he don't want to work. That would
• 4:06
  Speaker 1: have got me. They didn't know. I ain't really mad

  Speaker 1: at them, because they were just All they was doing
• 4:13
  Speaker 1: was based in their conversations and passing judgment based on
• 4:17
  Speaker 1: what they knew, based on what they believed. They didn't
• 4:22
  Speaker 1: believe I was gonna make it. But that's them though.

  Speaker 1: If it was not for the faith, which is the
• 4:29
  Speaker 1: belief in things that you cannot see, I wouldn't have
• 4:32
  Speaker 1: made it because I would have listened to everybody else
• 4:36
  Speaker 1: who didn't see me getting here and went along with it.

  Speaker 1: And then prayer. Oh my goodness, man, how many times
• 4:45
  Speaker 1: has prayer bailed me out? Prayer has bailed me out,

  Speaker 1: press still bailing me out. Tell you the truth, man,

  Speaker 1: quiet as it's kept. Prayer that could to your heavenly father,

  Speaker 1: that connection to your creator, that connection to that source

  Speaker 1: of power and inspiration, that connection of never feeling that

  Speaker 1: you were alone. You know, I was watching the Bishop
• 5:12
  Speaker 1: Jakes on TV yesterday and it was a repeat, and

  Speaker 1: one of the things he was talking about, well, let
• 5:21
  Speaker 1: me just get to the gist of it. I was
• 5:25
  Speaker 1: going through a portion of my life, and I went
• 5:30
  Speaker 1: through it for some years, y'all. I had gotten myself

  Speaker 1: into a jam that lasted for years, I'm telling you,

  Speaker 1: for years, with some serious consequences to follow. For years.

  Speaker 1: And I was so busy looking at where I was at.

  Speaker 1: I was sulking. Sometimes, Man, I'd get on the radio, man,

  Speaker 1: I'd be just done. I was sulking. My spirit had

  Speaker 1: gotten low. I had gotten tired of the fight, and

  Speaker 1: would I would come on some mornings, man, and I
• 6:11
  Speaker 1: would try try not to let on, but I was hurting.

  Speaker 1: I was because I had been in for years. Man,
• 6:15
  Speaker 1: I had been in this thing for years. And one

  Speaker 1: thing I was doing, I was so busy looking at
• 6:22
  Speaker 1: where I was at. And when I was watching Bishop
• 6:25
  Speaker 1: Jakes he preached his sermon. He was talking about so
• 6:35
  Speaker 1: busy looking at where you at that you don't even
• 6:41
  Speaker 1: realize that God has been with you the entire time.
• 6:49
  Speaker 1: And you know what, man, just yesterday, just yesterday, I
• 6:52
  Speaker 1: heard this and I text him. I text Bishop Jakes
• 6:56
  Speaker 1: and I thanked him because it was an old message
• 6:59
  Speaker 1: I could tell and I call, I text him up

  Speaker 1: and I said, Man, thank you so much. I was

  Speaker 1: just watching you on TV and you told me. Man,

  Speaker 1: something that I that I'll always remember that whatever you're

  Speaker 1: going through, that He's there with you the whole time.

  Speaker 1: But see when sometimes when you're so busy looking at

  Speaker 1: where you at, you don't even notice where he is.

  Speaker 1: And see sometimes, man, that that helped me, and that's
• 7:24
  Speaker 1: going to help me in the future to realize that

  Speaker 1: what I'm going through, that he's there. He's there with me,

  Speaker 1: and he gonna protect me and he ain't gonna let
• 7:32
  Speaker 1: my enemies overcome me, and he ain't gonna let nobody

  Speaker 1: overtake me, and he ain't gonna let me go un

  Speaker 1: them because he's there. It's just you can't be so

  Speaker 1: busy looking at where you at that you don't take

  Speaker 1: notice of where he at. God is always there, He's

  Speaker 1: always available, and the best way to tap into that

  Speaker 1: and know it is you got to pray. Prayer has

  Speaker 1: changed my life. Prayer can change your life. You can
