  Speaker 2: The Dells is brought tober Fest. And on the line

  Speaker 2: with me is Jeff Schrader. He's the executive director of

  Speaker 2: our beloved Broadfest here in Madison. Jeff, good morning, thanks

  Speaker 3: Oh, good morning beautiful. We got an exciting festival coming

  Speaker 3: up next weekend. Yeah.

  Speaker 2: Absolutely, Oh I'm sorry I said this weekend. Yeah, a

  Speaker 2: weekend a week from this weekend. It'll be taking place

  Speaker 2: in the Dells at the Crystal Grand Music Theater. And Jeff,

  Speaker 2: this is kind of a make good because many of

  Speaker 2: us have already forgotten Memorial Day. But that weekend was

  Speaker 2: pretty much kind of a wash out for you guys, right, It.

  Speaker 3: Was a rough one. Yeah, yeah, I mean we first

  Speaker 3: it started with that big storm that blew through dropped

  Speaker 3: a tree on my house. Oh then the right in

  Speaker 3: the festival we had to rebuild it, and then right

  Speaker 3: it came around and we only were able to open

  Speaker 3: for half a day, and we had a good day

  Speaker 3: on Sunday, and then we had to close completely on

  Speaker 3: On Saturday, we had a great day, and then Sunday

  Speaker 3: we closed for the whole day and tried to move

  Speaker 3: it inside, which that worked pretty well for some of

  Speaker 3: the events and things, but overall it was it was

  Speaker 3: a rough weekend. The charities weren't able to earn enough

  Speaker 3: money for their twenty twenty five season, and we had
• 1:46
  Speaker 3: about twenty five bands that didn't get a chance to play.

  Speaker 2: So the bands are getting back together and headed to
• 1:53
  Speaker 2: the Dells next week. Who are some of the headline

  Speaker 2: or performances by, Well, we've.

  Speaker 3: Got some great music. This is an unusual event because

  Speaker 3: a portion of it is a paid twenty dollars ticket

  Speaker 3: and then the rest of it is free live music,

  Speaker 3: which is what broadcast usually always does. We did bring

  Speaker 3: in a couple of headliners that we thought would be
• 2:14
  Speaker 3: a night addition, so we brought in Montgomery Gentry and
• 2:18
  Speaker 3: Bucky Covington, which is Friday Night along with Kantrick, and
• 2:24
  Speaker 3: then on Saturday, we've got you know, Bobo Flex and
• 2:27
  Speaker 3: Whalen and Mars Hall and so we've got just a

  Speaker 3: wonderful line up for our headliners. But then there's another
• 2:34
  Speaker 3: twenty bands that are playing all afternoon on Saturday and
• 2:39
  Speaker 3: all day on Sunday for the weekend.

  Speaker 4: I was going to ask you too, as Jeffrey, as

  Speaker 4: we kind of go through this stuff, you mentioned this

  Speaker 4: is kind of a for now.

  Speaker 3: A one off.

  Speaker 4: Is this something that the broadcaw Refest we could see

  Speaker 4: returning annually? If let's say, we get a huge turnout

  Speaker 4: and you know, folks are lining up, which I expect

  Speaker 4: to see out all the way onto the interstate, and

  Speaker 4: we have big, big news because of all the people

  Speaker 4: coming out for it. Does that mean there's this potential

  Speaker 4: maybe maybe to bring this back in octobers to come.

  Speaker 3: I don't know. I don't know about that. Well. I mean,

  Speaker 3: you know that we've got five semi trailers with items
• 3:17
  Speaker 3: for broadcast, and we had to take something every one
• 3:20
  Speaker 3: of the five. So just collecting all of it and

  Speaker 3: just together, you know, it was a necessary thing. Uh.

  Speaker 3: I think that the charities needed it, the bands needed
• 3:30
  Speaker 3: they need to perform them absolutely and cooking, you know,
• 3:36
  Speaker 3: getting all the products and and uh you know, we're
• 3:38
  Speaker 3: going to have the broad the whole menu from Broadfast
• 3:42
  Speaker 3: as well as merchandise and every uh everything else that
• 3:46
  Speaker 3: we have been known for with the Brodbast is going
• 3:49
  Speaker 3: to be set up up there. And it's good for
• 3:52
  Speaker 3: the Crystal Grand too. It's a wonderful facility. They're great
• 3:54
  Speaker 3: partners and they were they basically gave us the facility.
• 3:59
  Speaker 3: We're gonna pay for the expenses and the bands, but
• 4:02
  Speaker 3: they're giving one hundred percent of the ticket revenues to
• 4:06
  Speaker 3: the charity, which is a fine move.

  Speaker 4: That is all you mentioned tickets Crystal Grand dot com

  Speaker 4: and free parking. Also, I got to ask you to Jeffrey.

  Speaker 4: Is for folks that want to go up and maybe

  Speaker 4: take it all in. Maybe the music isn't necessarily their thing.

  Speaker 4: Do they have to have a ticket to pick up

  Speaker 4: some brats and enjoy brought Toberfest? Or how does that

  Speaker 3: Well, we put in a big beer garden with that'll

  Speaker 3: get up. Yeah. I've got about twenty three Octoberfest piers

  Speaker 3: that will be available, and we've got some souvenir cups

  Speaker 3: for the first two hundred people every day that come
• 4:42
  Speaker 3: up and purchase a beverage. We've got our merchandise tents

  Speaker 3: with all the Broadfast merchandise up there. We put a

  Speaker 3: big screen TV in the beer garden so that we
• 4:53
  Speaker 3: can play the Packer game on Sunday, and then we'll

  Speaker 3: probably play videos of some of the bands that are
• 4:58
  Speaker 3: playing as well as fourth over the weekend, which is

  Speaker 3: you know, that was a nice contribution from Celebrations and

  Speaker 3: I think the TV some of the Giant Jenga and

  Speaker 3: from Cornwall games, so people will have some things to
• 5:14
  Speaker 3: do in addition to just enjoying the data.
