- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Almost Famous podcast with iHeartRadio.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Hey, everybody welcomes.
- 0:07Speaker 3: This is Bob Guiney and joining me today. Of course
- 0:10Speaker 3: my beautiful co host, Trista Cutter.
- 0:17Speaker 1: I always say that.
- 0:20Speaker 4: I'm good and I'm so excited. Wait what I missed it? Okay, sorry,
- 0:31Speaker 4: I love that you always say that, but may Ren Park.
- 0:33Speaker 1: But anyway, I just wanted I'm so excited to.
- 0:35Speaker 4: Welcome Gianna back to Almost Famous o GS we get
- 0:39Speaker 4: to have another chat with her. You've been our most
- 0:42Speaker 4: frequent guest.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Actually, I think so flattered. I know, I mean, well,
- 0:48Speaker 1: I feel like we've been trying to line this up
- 0:50Speaker 1: for some time because every time I do come on,
- 0:52Speaker 1: Bob is unavailable, or he's traveling the world when he's
- 0:54Speaker 1: heading to New York to film something so or he's
- 0:57Speaker 1: like going from hotel to cabs so he can't quite
- 0:59Speaker 1: school us in. So this is totally.
- 1:05Speaker 2: I'm glad to have you here, very glad to have you.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Now for people joining us.
- 1:11Speaker 3: Our first most recent episode with Deanna was the Mental Recap,
- 1:17Speaker 3: and Deanna and Desire were the guests of honor with
- 1:21Speaker 3: Charity for that one, So make sure you tune in
- 1:23Speaker 3: to hear about that, because that was pretty awesome.
- 1:25Speaker 2: But this one, Christ So.
- 1:26Speaker 3: We're getting a little We're getting a little twist.
- 1:28Speaker 2: He here, We're going a little twist here, aren't. We're
- 1:30Speaker 2: taking us a little different direction. Yeah, so has today Deanna.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Very yes questions are you ready?
- 1:38Speaker 2: No?
- 1:39Speaker 4: So mente all we were back behind behind the scenes,
- 1:44Speaker 4: you know, chatting with a lot of the executives, and
- 1:47Speaker 4: like you said in the episode about the mental all,
- 1:50Speaker 4: you were like pitching Milsy about doing a vow renewal
- 1:53Speaker 4: for me and Ryan for our twentieth and all these
- 1:55Speaker 4: different things. And I know that part of the pitching was, hey,
- 2:01Speaker 4: you know, I could be the next bachelorette.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Nude nudge cocktails. In my defense, I had had a
- 2:07Speaker 1: few cocktails in between all of our girl time backstage, Bob,
- 2:13Speaker 1: they were allowing us to have a few adult beverages,
- 2:16Speaker 1: so I was allowing us. Yeah, I was feeling no
- 2:20Speaker 1: pain as I was pitching my life story to everyone.
- 2:25Speaker 4: I mean I was doing the same thing with the
- 2:27Speaker 4: vour Nole. I was like and I pitched the pickleball
- 2:30Speaker 4: and they actually listened and I got to go do
- 2:32Speaker 4: a pickleball.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Date with Gary.
- 2:34Speaker 4: So anyway, the reason we wanted to chat today is
- 2:37Speaker 4: because we have it on good authority. We have a
- 2:40Speaker 4: source that has told us that you have had some
- 2:44Speaker 4: meetings with ABC and.
- 2:47Speaker 1: No, let me stop you here. I have not had
- 2:50Speaker 1: any meetings with anyone. I literally left set a couple
- 2:52Speaker 1: of weeks ago and I'm not heard from anyone since. Okay, we.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Have heard that they're taking it.
- 3:01Speaker 1: It is so funny, though you look at I was
- 3:06Speaker 1: partially joking because forty one, I have a very different
- 3:10Speaker 1: I have a career, like I can't just take eight
- 3:11Speaker 1: weeks off of board. I have a job. I have
- 3:13Speaker 1: to pay for rent. I've got to do it. Got
- 3:16Speaker 1: children that I need to care for and love and
- 3:19Speaker 1: raise into good humans, you know what I mean. But
- 3:21Speaker 1: there was a POT that was being pretty serious about
- 3:24Speaker 1: it because they brought back that Brad Womack. They brought
- 3:27Speaker 1: back Nick viol three times, you know what I mean.
- 3:30Speaker 1: So they do this a lot where they bring back
- 3:32Speaker 1: these men, but they've never done it with a woman before.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Now they brought Claire. They brought Claire back once, right, Yeah, Now,
- 3:40Speaker 1: I will say, no offense, Bob. But the success rate
- 3:44Speaker 1: on the COT a little bit better than the Bachelor
- 3:48Speaker 1: so I realize it is likely harder to bring the
- 3:51Speaker 1: Bachelorette back because most of them are still married and
- 3:54Speaker 1: doing really well. Right, But I think it is the
- 4:00Speaker 1: thing that I don't quite understand. And you guys will
- 4:03Speaker 1: know this because you've been on the show before. They
- 4:05Speaker 1: have this built in fan base that they they really
- 4:09Speaker 1: don't utilize and tap into. Do you know what I mean?
- 4:12Speaker 1: They don't about a billion shows that run through my
- 4:15Speaker 1: mind where I'm like, they really could have something here,
- 4:18Speaker 1: Like why is there not like a Housewives of the
- 4:19Speaker 1: Bachelorette or or you know, the parent Trap of the Bachelorette.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Like there's a billion shows that I run through and
- 4:27Speaker 1: don't steal my ideas. I've pitched him a time or two.
- 4:31Speaker 1: I really think that there is this there's this entity
- 4:35Speaker 1: that they really should tap into. They did a really
- 4:37Speaker 1: great job with Bachelor Pad. They really did a good
- 4:39Speaker 1: job with Bachelor and Paradise. I enjoyed that, but I
- 4:41Speaker 1: don't want a paradise. I'm not your girl that needs
- 4:44Speaker 1: to be frolicking around in a tiny bikini. I'm forty
- 4:48Speaker 1: one and I'm past that, and I like my curves,
- 4:50Speaker 1: but I'm not trying to compete with those young girls.
- 4:53Speaker 1: I will never look the same after breastfeeding two children.
- 4:57Speaker 4: So yep, mine either, I wish is why I had
- 5:01Speaker 4: to fix.
- 5:02Speaker 2: You feel me?
- 5:03Speaker 1: Like there is this whole concept, you know, surrounding the
- 5:06Speaker 1: Bachelor franchise that they have done themselves a disservice that
- 5:09Speaker 1: they don't tap into. There really is a billion ideas
- 5:13Speaker 1: for spin off shows that they could just make a
- 5:15Speaker 1: lot of money off of to be honest.
- 5:17Speaker 4: You know what I mean, especially with the strike going
- 5:20Speaker 4: on right now, Like there's so many options for reality
- 5:23Speaker 4: television where scripted is you know, not able to do anything.
- 5:27Speaker 4: So I totally agree with you. Now if it worked
- 5:30Speaker 4: out you just said, like I can't take eight weeks
- 5:33Speaker 4: away from my job. Is there is there a chance
- 5:36Speaker 4: that you would?
- 5:37Speaker 1: There always of me that will toy around with the
- 5:39Speaker 1: idea of ever doing You know, for the longest time,
- 5:42Speaker 1: I said I would never do it again, you know
- 5:45Speaker 1: what I mean. But I when I came off of
- 5:48Speaker 1: The Bachelor with Brad, you know, I know I said
- 5:50Speaker 1: this in the previous episode, but like, why wasn't I
- 5:52Speaker 1: given therapy? Like I needed therapy after that? Because you
- 5:55Speaker 1: talk about like trauma on the most basic level, I
- 5:59Speaker 1: was rejected and abandoned by the person that I trusted
- 6:04Speaker 1: most in that process on National Talent, Like I should
- 6:07Speaker 1: have been in therapy and they should have provided that
- 6:10Speaker 1: for me. Now, once I came off of the Bachelorette,
- 6:15Speaker 1: like I had a great well, it didn't make good
- 6:17Speaker 1: choices apparently, But even the breakup from that really did
- 6:23Speaker 1: a number on me because it wasn't that a relationship
- 6:26Speaker 1: just ended. And I'm pretty good at grieving those things
- 6:29Speaker 1: when they happened, but it's this guy ran my name
- 6:33Speaker 1: into the ground and went on television crying like he
- 6:36Speaker 1: didn't know that it was happening. But you know what
- 6:38Speaker 1: I mean, that's not for me to take on. That
- 6:40Speaker 1: was his manipulative behavior that I allowed. But they're just
- 6:45Speaker 1: for a long time, I didn't want to ever go
- 6:48Speaker 1: back on the show. It was not always this really
- 6:50Speaker 1: great experience for me, Like I had this really painted
- 6:54Speaker 1: view of what my time on the Bachelorette was. But
- 6:57Speaker 1: I also look back at that girl and even I
- 7:00Speaker 1: was really strong back then, I'm a different human being now,
- 7:03Speaker 1: Like if anything that the last couple of years have
- 7:06Speaker 1: taught me is that I've always been really strong but
- 7:08Speaker 1: I'm fucking resilient. I am resilient and not more now
- 7:14Speaker 1: than when I did when I was twenty six and
- 7:16Speaker 1: I was the bachelorette. That like who I am, and
- 7:19Speaker 1: I'll never let another person in my life take that
- 7:23Speaker 1: from me or make me feel less than or not worthy.
- 7:27Speaker 1: I've loved and accepted for who I truly am at
- 7:29Speaker 1: my core. Somebody out there is going to do that,
- 7:33Speaker 1: you know what I mean. I had a really wonderful
- 7:35Speaker 1: twelve years with Stephen, and we have two beautiful children.
- 7:38Speaker 1: But I don't see this as the end of my story.
- 7:40Speaker 1: It's not for sure.
- 7:42Speaker 2: The way.
- 7:53Speaker 3: I gotta tell you this, I can speak from experience
- 7:56Speaker 3: on this one for real. You know, get divorce worse
- 8:00Speaker 3: after being on the Bachelor, you know, became one these
- 8:04Speaker 3: things that was like I just felt like the biggest
- 8:06Speaker 3: There was a period where I was just like, I
- 8:07Speaker 3: must be just the biggest loser in the world and
- 8:09Speaker 3: I can't sing together run. Then you realize, now you're
- 8:11Speaker 3: just with the wrong person for who you are, right
- 8:14Speaker 3: and there's nothing wrong with that. I mean, now it's
- 8:16Speaker 3: just about you thinking about where you want to go
- 8:19Speaker 3: from here, which is you know, obviously your families. First,
- 8:21Speaker 3: we know that, but like you said, you're very different
- 8:24Speaker 3: from when you were twenty six, and what if you
- 8:27Speaker 3: were the bachel arette Like.
- 8:28Speaker 2: Let's let's just let's just kick this camera out a
- 8:30Speaker 2: little bit, you know.
- 8:32Speaker 3: Let's just say let's just talk about like you know,
- 8:34Speaker 3: because I think one of the things that I know
- 8:36Speaker 3: for sure is you'd be able to walk in there,
- 8:38Speaker 3: and from a format perspective, I'm sure you'd be in
- 8:42Speaker 3: the driver's seat. So like you know, heys, I've done that.
- 8:46Speaker 1: I'm relatively attractive.
- 8:48Speaker 3: Come on, Bob, I'd say, I'd say more so, more
- 8:51Speaker 3: so than relatively.
- 8:52Speaker 2: I think you could walk in.
- 8:53Speaker 3: I know you're going to command you know, this is
- 8:57Speaker 3: a soare a gentleman? Like would you say to them?
- 9:00Speaker 3: I mean, I'm this is I'm just putting it out there.
- 9:02Speaker 3: I want this age range of guys like this is.
- 9:04Speaker 3: You know, I'm willing to work within this ballpark. Or
- 9:08Speaker 3: I want to get to the Fantasy Seeks faster. Instead
- 9:10Speaker 3: of doing three, I want to do six. I'm just
- 9:13Speaker 3: hearing this long.
- 9:14Speaker 4: But but but can I add to that question? Because
- 9:16Speaker 4: when we were hanging out before we went out to Mentell,
- 9:19Speaker 4: all we were saying this. We were like, there needs
- 9:22Speaker 4: to be not a golden bachelor because they're like, you know,
- 9:24Speaker 4: in their seventies. But what did you call it? A
- 9:27Speaker 4: like mid life or what did we call it?
- 9:31Speaker 1: I said, there needs to be a midlife crisis bachelorette
- 9:34Speaker 1: who doesn't need anyone's money, who's not looking to get
- 9:38Speaker 1: married again. I don't want any more children. I'm just
- 9:40Speaker 1: a really great time. It sounds like really to a
- 9:47Speaker 1: four nightstand, but that's not what I'm looking for.
- 9:49Speaker 4: I don't know, but would you would you if you
- 9:52Speaker 4: if you were just playing conto like hypotheticals here, if
- 9:58Speaker 4: you did the bachelorette? Would did you consider getting married again?
- 10:02Speaker 1: Ooh M? You know what, I don't think that I
- 10:07Speaker 1: am in the right headspace for that to be married
- 10:12Speaker 1: again again. Steve and I, you know, we separated a
- 10:17Speaker 1: year ago and we had a few rough years. Like Bob,
- 10:20Speaker 1: I realized, Tristan and I are super close. So everything
- 10:22Speaker 1: that I'm saying she has heard twice over. But we've
- 10:26Speaker 1: had a really we had a really difficult few years.
- 10:29Speaker 1: And I like what you said, Bob, And again I
- 10:32Speaker 1: appreciate that you have been where I am at currently
- 10:35Speaker 1: because I've done a lot of just soul searching and
- 10:40Speaker 1: I'm still me and I'm finding me again, but I'm
- 10:43Speaker 1: a new met at the same time, meaning I don't
- 10:47Speaker 1: at all regret my time with Stephen, and I look
- 10:49Speaker 1: back to our wedding day and I still think that
- 10:52Speaker 1: like that was one of the best days of my
- 10:54Speaker 1: entire life. Like early on there were there was this
- 10:58Speaker 1: piece of that And you've seen it, stun Bob, you've
- 11:00Speaker 1: been around us. You've seen it too, that we loved
- 11:02Speaker 1: your children very much.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Oh yeah, very much, very much.
- 11:05Speaker 1: We loved and respected each other enough to bring two
- 11:07Speaker 1: innocent human beings into this world to love and to
- 11:10Speaker 1: cherish and raise to be good humans hopefully so. But
- 11:14Speaker 1: I like what you said, Bob, that it doesn't mean
- 11:16Speaker 1: that you have to hate each other, but you can
- 11:18Speaker 1: be two people who are simply not compatible for each other.
- 11:21Speaker 1: And I will never ever. I didn't do it when
- 11:24Speaker 1: I was twenty six. I'm a nobs kind of girl, don't.
- 11:28Speaker 1: I don't deal with bullshit. I don't I have a
- 11:31Speaker 1: radar for it. I don't deal with liars. I don't
- 11:33Speaker 1: do well with betrayal, and I have a no bs
- 11:36Speaker 1: radar for it. I am a come as you are,
- 11:41Speaker 1: this is what you get kind of person and I
- 11:42Speaker 1: always was like that, but I feel that more now
- 11:45Speaker 1: than ever because I don't know if I will ever
- 11:50Speaker 1: get married again. I joke around to all of my
- 11:52Speaker 1: friends and say I never want to get married again
- 11:53Speaker 1: because I'll tell you what divorce is. It's awful. And Bob,
- 11:56Speaker 1: you know this is it is all. It is awful.
- 12:00Speaker 1: I have literally survived the most difficult few years of
- 12:04Speaker 1: my entire life, you know, and we're talking about abandonment
- 12:07Speaker 1: issues on an anxious attachment. I've learned a lot about
- 12:10Speaker 1: myself through thousands of dollars of therapy, but my whole
- 12:16Speaker 1: point was that I wanted to ride every wave of grief.
- 12:20Speaker 1: And if you've never seen the grief cycle, there's a
- 12:22Speaker 1: lot of waves, and you can write them multiple times
- 12:24Speaker 1: a day, and I have. I've written them until I
- 12:26Speaker 1: can't straight, and I've cried more tears than I have
- 12:29Speaker 1: ever felt. And you know, I'm really thankful for my
- 12:32Speaker 1: group of people who literally carried me on days that
- 12:34Speaker 1: I couldn't carry myself. But I say that so that
- 12:37Speaker 1: everyone knows that I have come out of this, this
- 12:39Speaker 1: new woman. There is this new version of me and Bob,
- 12:43Speaker 1: because you have been through divorce, you understand this that
- 12:46Speaker 1: when it all started to happen, you keep all of
- 12:48Speaker 1: that stuff close to chess because I felt and I
- 12:51Speaker 1: don't know if you felt the same way, Bob, but
- 12:52Speaker 1: I felt so much shame surrounding and I felt like
- 12:56Speaker 1: such a failure that I wanted this marriage to work
- 13:00Speaker 1: so bad. I wanted Stephen to love me and choose me.
- 13:04Speaker 1: And it's not his fault that he can't. He's just
- 13:08Speaker 1: not the right person to do so. And I believe
- 13:11Speaker 1: that there has to be someone else out there that
- 13:13Speaker 1: will eventually be able to do that. But that means
- 13:16Speaker 1: that I get to come as myself in my hole
- 13:20Speaker 1: and I will never live in a place where like
- 13:23Speaker 1: my vulnerability is used against me and I am made
- 13:27Speaker 1: to feel less than or not worthy of someone's real love.
- 13:31Speaker 1: So so a long story short, Trista, I really don't
- 13:34Speaker 1: know if I ever have the desire to get married again,
- 13:36Speaker 1: because I I don't know that I need that piece
- 13:40Speaker 1: of paper for companionship. I hire companionship. And I'll tell
- 13:44Speaker 1: you what being single for a year and finding yourself
- 13:47Speaker 1: again it is some really you know there are some
- 13:50Speaker 1: lonely spaces, and that there's some really lonely spaces. You
- 13:52Speaker 1: have to get really comfortable in yourself and in your
- 13:55Speaker 1: pain and in your process and in your joy too.
- 13:58Speaker 1: I live on my own now, and I'm telling you
- 14:00Speaker 1: there are some nights I will drink two glasses of wine,
- 14:02Speaker 1: dance around naked in my living room and it is
- 14:04Speaker 1: so I love it.
- 14:11Speaker 3: You know what.
- 14:13Speaker 1: There's not a whole lot that you got to read
- 14:14Speaker 1: in between, but a lot of places where I'm finding
- 14:18Speaker 1: to just be joyful in me and be joyful in
- 14:22Speaker 1: my own space of who I am and what I
- 14:26Speaker 1: desire in the world. And so I would say what
- 14:27Speaker 1: I desire is to be truly and deeply loved by
- 14:32Speaker 1: someone like I like companionship. I feel a deep desire
- 14:38Speaker 1: to be genuinely accepted by a man and to be
- 14:43Speaker 1: appreciated and to have someone that is willing to walk
- 14:47Speaker 1: through the really hard stuff. I am a very imperfect
- 14:50Speaker 1: human being, and I have my things. I am a
- 14:52Speaker 1: very bold personality, and I am loud and I am kind,
- 14:56Speaker 1: but I'm also like I don't take any bullshit, and
- 14:59Speaker 1: I have I'm saying this is what I want, which
- 15:01Speaker 1: is why I don't date, because I don't want to
- 15:03Speaker 1: play the games. I'm like, oh, it's been an hour.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Can I text him back yet? Like I don't want
- 15:06Speaker 1: any of that. That's not time for that, you know why,
- 15:09Speaker 1: because I'm being alone. So yeah, I desire companionship and
- 15:14Speaker 1: I desire to be fully loved and holy for who
- 15:17Speaker 1: I am. But I don't know that I ever need
- 15:20Speaker 1: that sheet of paper ever again, because I am a
- 15:23Speaker 1: loyal human being, and if I choose to be with someone,
- 15:26Speaker 1: spend my life with someone, I am one hundred percent
- 15:28Speaker 1: committed in that way. So yeah, I don't want to
- 15:31Speaker 1: say never. Everybody keeps saying that to me, all my
- 15:33Speaker 1: dwarf friends. They're like, don't ever say never. You're totally
- 15:36Speaker 1: getting married again. You're young. Yeah, like maybe maybe, Well
- 15:40Speaker 1: I got when I got.
- 15:40Speaker 2: To I said the same thing.
- 15:42Speaker 1: I said, Yeah, maybe it's just the trauma, and it's trauma.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Maybe I'm a little proud right now to say that
- 15:50Speaker 1: I'm into another marriage, you know what I mean, because
- 15:53Speaker 1: I just you know, divorce is awful, trista, like splitting
- 15:56Speaker 1: up your things, sharing up your children, you know, I.
- 16:01Speaker 4: Mean, even even your family like your your closest friends,
- 16:05Speaker 4: the people that you hung out with, you know, friendships.
- 16:09Speaker 1: You lose a family I loved and still do to
- 16:12Speaker 1: this day, Stephen's family, and I still have a really
- 16:16Speaker 1: wonderful relationship with his little sister and her husband, and
- 16:18Speaker 1: my nephews and my mother in law, like that will
- 16:21Speaker 1: always be there and I love them deep to my core.
- 16:23Speaker 1: But there is this whole. It's not just separating from
- 16:26Speaker 1: one person in a marriage and also the idea of
- 16:29Speaker 1: what you thought the rest of your life was going
- 16:31Speaker 1: to be like, but there is also this separation of
- 16:34Speaker 1: this whole other people that you truly love. You lose friendships,
- 16:37Speaker 1: you lose, you lose family, you lose mother and father
- 16:40Speaker 1: in laws, you lose that closeness. It sucks not going
- 16:42Speaker 1: to family dinner Sunday night, Like I have to keep
- 16:45Speaker 1: myself on Sunday nights because we've done it for the
- 16:48Speaker 1: past eleven and a half years and to know I'm
- 16:50Speaker 1: not included anymore, Like sometimes that still stings totally.
- 16:53Speaker 4: And are the kids with him for the family dinners?
- 16:56Speaker 4: So you're always alone on something? No, not at all, No, no, no, no.
- 17:01Speaker 4: We have a parenting plan.
- 17:02Speaker 1: The kids go back and forth, and you know that
- 17:04Speaker 1: New Sundays were really hard. You know when Addison came
- 17:06Speaker 1: to me and said, like, why aren't you allowed to
- 17:08Speaker 1: come to family dinner anymore? Those are hard because you
- 17:14Speaker 1: guys my role and again, Steve and are trying to
- 17:16Speaker 1: be really wonderful co parents for the sake of our kids.
- 17:20Speaker 1: And I'm a product to y'all. My parents did not
- 17:23Speaker 1: do it with good guidelines. I'll promise you that. So
- 17:26Speaker 1: I am trying really hard every day to know that, Like,
- 17:30Speaker 1: my children are innocent in this, and what they need
- 17:33Speaker 1: to have at the end of the day is a
- 17:35Speaker 1: wonderful relationship with their father and a wonderful relationship with
- 17:38Speaker 1: their mother, and they are deserving of that, and I
- 17:40Speaker 1: want that for my kids. So we're pretty good. Steve
- 17:43Speaker 1: and I are pretty good about sharing our kids. And
- 17:46Speaker 1: you know, I'm a flight attendant. I travel for work.
- 17:47Speaker 1: This is what I do. We're really good about working
- 17:50Speaker 1: that out and making sure we each get ample amount
- 17:52Speaker 1: of time with the kids. And you know, our end
- 17:54Speaker 1: goal is to come up on holidays and birthdays. We
- 17:56Speaker 1: would really like to like each other a decent amount
- 17:59Speaker 1: and of continue it's important.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Yeah, that is.
- 18:04Speaker 4: I do want to say at Mental Hall when you
- 18:08Speaker 4: and watching back, you know, obviously we were there in person,
- 18:12Speaker 4: and then watching it back on television. I cringed both times.
- 18:16Speaker 4: So you mentioned, you know that you're I'm cringing because
- 18:19Speaker 4: of something I did, not because of something you said.
- 18:21Speaker 1: I was like, you're like, oh, what happened. I'm totally
- 18:24Speaker 1: not going to stick my foot in my mouth, tursta,
- 18:26Speaker 1: so please tell me.
- 18:28Speaker 4: No. No, I was like, oh, maybe I should specify anyway.
- 18:31Speaker 4: So you said, you know I am single, and literally
- 18:37Speaker 4: I watch it back because I was like, like, I
- 18:39Speaker 4: yelled so loud, and I was like, oh gosh, that
- 18:42Speaker 4: was really rude and disrespectful, because No, I didn't want
- 18:47Speaker 4: you to ever break up and have to go through
- 18:49Speaker 4: all this trauma. But I was kind of like in
- 18:52Speaker 4: that moment, we had been talking about it, you know,
- 18:54Speaker 4: getting you on you know, the Bachelorette and whatever, and
- 18:57Speaker 4: I was like, yes, let's get her man. If she
- 18:59Speaker 4: wants it's a man. I want her to have a man.
- 19:01Speaker 4: If she doesn't want to have a man, she doesn't
- 19:03Speaker 4: need a man. But I was like, I was trying
- 19:05Speaker 4: to be supportive in that moment, and you don't have.
- 19:08Speaker 1: To apologize for that. This is the whole point of
- 19:10Speaker 1: having really great friends, is that they're meant to cheer
- 19:13Speaker 1: you on every step of the way, and like that
- 19:14Speaker 1: makes me feel. And what wasn't shown, Bob, is that
- 19:17Speaker 1: you know, again, we've told you a thousand times that
- 19:19Speaker 1: we hung out all day and talked, but we also
- 19:20Speaker 1: do a late night dinner just the three of us.
- 19:22Speaker 1: And I say this all the time that like, I mean,
- 19:25Speaker 1: I love all of the women, but I'm obviously closer
- 19:27Speaker 1: to you know, a few of the women because maybe
- 19:30Speaker 1: we're in the same life phase or or we just
- 19:32Speaker 1: get each other, you know what I mean. And I say,
- 19:34Speaker 1: all of my girlfriends were like, well, how was it?
- 19:35Speaker 1: And I was like, the piece that I took away
- 19:37Speaker 1: and that I loved so much was getting to spend
- 19:39Speaker 1: so much time with Tristan Desiree, because they are two
- 19:41Speaker 1: of the women that I love so deeply and have
- 19:44Speaker 1: no problem saying that I have a genuine friendship with
- 19:47Speaker 1: the two of them. And they both just let me
- 19:50Speaker 1: speak so freely, you know, and things that I will
- 19:53Speaker 1: never say out loud or on a podcast for that matter,
- 19:55Speaker 1: but they just allowed me to speak so freely and
- 19:59Speaker 1: in a safe space and share my heart and my
- 20:01Speaker 1: struggles and what I've walked through in the last few years.
- 20:03Speaker 1: And there is just so much beauty in a friendship
- 20:05Speaker 1: like that. So I don't think you need to apologize,
- 20:07Speaker 1: trist I would hope nothing more than you would be
- 20:08Speaker 1: cheering me on every step of the way, you know.
- 20:10Speaker 4: But I'm like, oh gosh, I don't want people to
- 20:13Speaker 4: be like, Wow, she's really excited.
- 20:15Speaker 1: That she's single. Friend, go ahead, send them, send him
- 20:19Speaker 1: my way, go ahead.
- 20:23Speaker 2: I get that.
- 20:24Speaker 3: I mean you're you're probably want to look like you're like, oh, yeah,
- 20:27Speaker 3: she's the boris.
- 20:30Speaker 1: She loves Steven too, you know what I mean, Like,
- 20:32Speaker 1: I know, there's nothing bad to say about Steven. So
- 20:35Speaker 1: there's also that piece too, where you're like, you likely
- 20:37Speaker 1: don't want to look like you're insulting him in any way,
- 20:38Speaker 1: And I don't think you are not he would take
- 20:41Speaker 1: it that way. I just think that you're a great cheerleader, Trista,
- 20:44Speaker 1: and I'm thankful to have you in my corner.
- 20:46Speaker 4: Oh you're sweet. So I shared this story recently. There's
- 21:00Speaker 4: an organization called First Descent. It's a charity that we
- 21:03Speaker 4: helped support, and Ryan was really involved in them, like
- 21:07Speaker 4: ten years ago, and we went to their camp. So
- 21:10Speaker 4: they're like, they put on these adventure camps for young
- 21:14Speaker 4: adults with cancer and they give nicknames to every single
- 21:18Speaker 4: person who either works on at the camps or donates
- 21:24Speaker 4: or is part of the camps. And so the very
- 21:27Speaker 4: first time I went, they were like, okay, what's your nickname?
- 21:30Speaker 4: And it's me and you know, maybe a handful of
- 21:33Speaker 4: other people around me. And I was like, well, what's
- 21:36Speaker 4: another name for like a cheerleader, like a supporter, you
- 21:40Speaker 4: know whatever, And the lady asked me my friend was
- 21:44Speaker 4: like jockstrapped, And of course.
- 21:50Speaker 1: That's exactly what Trista wants to be known as around
- 22:00Speaker 1: remember on bat threat jock straps. Isn't that horrible? Yeah,
- 22:09Speaker 1: I don't you at all.
- 22:15Speaker 3: When you said, you know, like a supporter, that went
- 22:17Speaker 3: through my head. I was like, Josha, I never thought
- 22:21Speaker 3: you would say that.
- 22:21Speaker 1: Become nice and close and snug and protected. I mean,
- 22:27Speaker 1: when you think about you just start describing those things.
- 22:29Speaker 1: That is Trista is giving giving you your space to
- 22:35Speaker 1: protected close.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Like a like a cradle. You provide a cradle of friendship.
- 22:44Speaker 1: It's just to go hard turn I know.
- 22:48Speaker 5: Anyway, Sorry, my mind also just went to a foul
- 22:57Speaker 5: place of where I'm like when they are getting down
- 22:59Speaker 5: at night, is I'm like my little jockstrap.
- 23:05Speaker 1: Oh.
- 23:07Speaker 3: Could you tell?
- 23:09Speaker 1: Only for far too long?
- 23:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I think I think you're proving that you need
- 23:13Speaker 2: to do that. That's that's right there.
- 23:18Speaker 1: Who's telling you these rumors? Because I'm apparently the last
- 23:21Speaker 1: to know. We have a big source.
- 23:23Speaker 4: We have a source source, we have a sources very
- 23:28Speaker 4: popular podcast.
- 23:30Speaker 2: We have people on the inside.
- 23:31Speaker 4: We got people, we got people, we got people, people
- 23:36Speaker 4: even have people.
- 23:37Speaker 1: I forget how well known and popular the two of
- 23:39Speaker 1: you are, you know, and to be sitting in your
- 23:41Speaker 1: feel it like I'm starting to sweat just being inside.
- 23:46Speaker 2: Deal here we got yeah.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Oh yeah, we're real important.
- 23:51Speaker 3: They haven't had me near the show since two thousand
- 23:53Speaker 3: and three, so I don't think I'm that important at
- 23:55Speaker 3: least just as at least getting back in the ground,
- 23:58Speaker 3: which is nice.
- 24:00Speaker 4: Well, I mean, maybe we can change that stuff, because
- 24:02Speaker 4: I feel like what the executives have said is like
- 24:05Speaker 4: we do want to kind of get back like you
- 24:07Speaker 4: mentioned it, I think on the other episode is just
- 24:10Speaker 4: getting back to really the core of the show, and
- 24:14Speaker 4: I think that Gary and the Golden Bachelor are going
- 24:16Speaker 4: to do that. They're going to get back to the
- 24:18Speaker 4: no drama the you know, it's not Caddy between these women.
- 24:22Speaker 4: It like, at least that's what I feel like is
- 24:25Speaker 4: going to happen because they're in a place in their
- 24:27Speaker 4: life where they don't care.
- 24:29Speaker 1: Like they're like, I don't want to cause drama.
- 24:31Speaker 4: I just want to have fun, enjoy my life, and
- 24:34Speaker 4: maybe if I meet somebody that I fall in love with, awesome.
- 24:39Speaker 4: You know.
- 24:40Speaker 1: I feel like I'm a rare person though I didn't
- 24:41Speaker 1: like drama when I was on The Bachelorette any anyway,
- 24:44Speaker 1: Like I totally if girls were being Caddy, I was like,
- 24:46Speaker 1: I don't want any part of this. I'm going to
- 24:48Speaker 1: go like take a nap, like I don't. Yeah, never
- 24:50Speaker 1: live my life like that.
- 24:52Speaker 2: The season was that way too. We were we were
- 24:54Speaker 2: all buddies.
- 24:54Speaker 3: I mean that, which actually so that I fell mine
- 24:58Speaker 3: right after that, I'm like, hey, I don't want any
- 25:01Speaker 3: drama because I just got done with the show and
- 25:02Speaker 3: we had zero drama.
- 25:03Speaker 2: We really liked each other.
- 25:05Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, at the end of the day, it
- 25:06Speaker 3: comes down to the lead, I think, really putting that
- 25:08Speaker 3: out there, and I know, kiss like she loved that
- 25:11Speaker 3: we were all buddies, Like she really loved it.
- 25:14Speaker 4: It made me so happy because honestly, that's a big
- 25:17Speaker 4: part of what I wanted after the show, Like I
- 25:20Speaker 4: don't want to live with someone who likes drama. I
- 25:22Speaker 4: want to live with someone and spend my life with
- 25:25Speaker 4: someone and share it with someone who actually.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Likes for people, we are not looking to be like
- 25:31Speaker 1: traumatized forever. Yeah, yeah, you know what, So buddy, I
- 25:36Speaker 1: think that uh we say bring us back enough, you
- 25:40Speaker 1: know what I mean, Like, because look at us, We
- 25:41Speaker 1: could do this for another four hours, and I think
- 25:43Speaker 1: the three of us are really great. We're doing really well.
- 25:47Speaker 1: There's this other piece of the show that, like you
- 25:49Speaker 1: sink the concept that they bring back the newest contestants
- 25:51Speaker 1: because they're young and fresh and they've got four hundred
- 25:53Speaker 1: thousand followers or whatever. That looks like, you know what
- 25:55Speaker 1: I mean. And obviously the show is successful for a
- 25:58Speaker 1: reason because the pop ularity is still driven and like,
- 26:02Speaker 1: let's be honest, if they bring me back to speak
- 26:04Speaker 1: to someone and give them advice, it's not because I
- 26:07Speaker 1: am boosting ratings in this show, like half the time,
- 26:09Speaker 1: people don't know who I am anymore, you know, So
- 26:13Speaker 1: I get the concept, but I am always really thankful
- 26:15Speaker 1: that when they do bring us back, because come on,
- 26:18Speaker 1: there's this other selfish piece that still makes you feel
- 26:20Speaker 1: special well totally.
- 26:22Speaker 4: And what I do want to say to that is
- 26:24Speaker 4: that I you know, our seasons were I don't know
- 26:29Speaker 4: what the numbers are now, but the viewership back then
- 26:34Speaker 4: was in the double digit millions, you know, Like I
- 26:37Speaker 4: think our my engagement with Ryan was thirty one million
- 26:40Speaker 4: people were watching. Now I wonder if they even get
- 26:43Speaker 4: three and so there were like thirty one people watching
- 26:47Speaker 4: back then, and all of these people have aged twenty years,
- 26:51Speaker 4: and I feel like they're missing out on that demographic
- 26:54Speaker 4: of the like mid age, mid life, whatever you want
- 26:59Speaker 4: to call it, women, especially women and men who watch
- 27:04Speaker 4: the show, raising their kids whatever, And now their kids
- 27:07Speaker 4: are watching the show or their grand kids are watching
- 27:10Speaker 4: the show, and I feel like, why not bring back
- 27:13Speaker 4: the demographic of the people who like watched our season.
- 27:17Speaker 4: So I feel like, if you are the Bachelorette, Deanna,
- 27:21Speaker 4: if you decide to be the bachelorette and they officially
- 27:24Speaker 4: ask you then I feel like it will bring all
- 27:27Speaker 4: these people back who actually really really supported the show originally,
- 27:32Speaker 4: Like that.
- 27:33Speaker 1: What would be for every single episode to be my
- 27:35Speaker 1: og friends, Like don't bring back the twenty somethings, bring
- 27:37Speaker 1: back my Trista, bring back my Bob. Yeah, you know
- 27:41Speaker 1: what I mean, Like I'm gonna do it, Like, let's
- 27:44Speaker 1: do it, bring back all the old people who like
- 27:46Speaker 1: none of us have any bucks to give, you know
- 27:49Speaker 1: what I mean? Right, we're all in it for like
- 27:52Speaker 1: the genuine love aspect of the show, and that the
- 27:57Speaker 1: other piece is like we all genuinely like each other,
- 27:59Speaker 1: so better to let have back and again in this
- 28:03Speaker 1: stream scenario of if I was a bachelorette, to allow
- 28:06Speaker 1: people like us to come back and be like, listen, y'all,
- 28:10Speaker 1: this is how the show really is. This is how
- 28:12Speaker 1: we should really go. This is how far in depth
- 28:15Speaker 1: you should allow yourself. This is the piece that's really
- 28:19Speaker 1: beautiful of this show. And this is what you can
- 28:21Speaker 1: take away from it. You know what I mean, let's
- 28:23Speaker 1: step that.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Let's do with a relationship, and there's not that doesn't
- 28:29Speaker 2: need to be a tag on it, you know.
- 28:30Speaker 3: What I mean, It doesn't You can you can give
- 28:32Speaker 3: a Neil Lane promise ring or you know whatever it
- 28:36Speaker 3: is it.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Was it was a different person back in the day. Way,
- 28:38Speaker 2: that's just that I already do it, but you know,
- 28:40Speaker 2: I know who it is now.
- 28:41Speaker 3: So you can give that ring still as a symbol
- 28:43Speaker 3: of an ongoing relationship if you want to, and if not, let's.
- 28:47Speaker 1: See what it goes. Let's do real life together. So
- 28:50Speaker 1: maybe you guys, maybe the dates are not these over
- 28:53Speaker 1: the top, helicopter over volcanoes dates because those aren't real life.
- 28:56Speaker 1: Maybe it's me taking them to the park and seeing
- 29:00Speaker 1: if they can clean up dog shit because I have
- 29:02Speaker 1: a right. Let's see how well they feel about that.
- 29:05Speaker 1: Or maybe it's like me taking them and they're driving
- 29:09Speaker 1: me to work and then I don't see them for
- 29:10Speaker 1: two weeks and see how they.
- 29:12Speaker 2: Sit in that are like watching Real Housewives marathon and
- 29:18Speaker 2: not talking.
- 29:19Speaker 1: Now, let's think more around Outlander. Let's make them sit
- 29:25Speaker 1: down and watch with me. Love me. Yeah, Claire and
- 29:30Speaker 1: Jamie Frasier vibes like in my next life. That's what
- 29:34Speaker 1: I want. Claire and Jamie, I know, mean, what.
- 29:38Speaker 2: Are you on? You're gonna ask me in the middle
- 29:42Speaker 2: of this? Oh sorry, sorry, so yeah, I just I'll
- 29:45Speaker 2: go to the other. That's that's love in real life.
- 29:48Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly other at the end of the day,
- 29:51Speaker 1: in our own element with like, I mean, I feel
- 29:54Speaker 1: really pretty today, but like this is not every day,
- 29:56Speaker 1: like let's see each other where. I haven't washed my
- 29:58Speaker 1: hair for four days and I don't have makeup on
- 29:59Speaker 1: in my mind lasma showing, and my pants are too
- 30:01Speaker 1: tight because I have a really big rear end. You know,
- 30:04Speaker 1: I look back at that bit I love really do.
- 30:06Speaker 1: I look back at that season four girl of that Bachelorette,
- 30:10Speaker 1: and I thought, physically I felt the most beautiful that
- 30:15Speaker 1: I ever had, but emotionally I wasn't quite me yet,
- 30:19Speaker 1: you know what I mean. I was welcome my way
- 30:21Speaker 1: to being me. But like now I look at myself
- 30:24Speaker 1: and I feel so deeply secure in who I am
- 30:29Speaker 1: as a person both outside and inside, and I'm I'm
- 30:32Speaker 1: you know, that's being the realist that I've ever been. Like,
- 30:35Speaker 1: I am broken. I have been broken, not completely broken,
- 30:39Speaker 1: but I've put myself back together and I'm not one
- 30:42Speaker 1: hundred and twenty pounds anymore. I'm a grown ass woman
- 30:44Speaker 1: and I've nursed two children and I've burr of two babies.
- 30:47Speaker 1: This body is a warrior, you know what I mean.
- 30:51Speaker 1: Like me for that, Love me for that. That's real,
- 30:55Speaker 1: That's who I am. Love it great and gentlemen up.
- 31:06Speaker 1: So if I alone, you're gonna call your people, and
- 31:09Speaker 1: then you're gonna call me, and you're gonna tell me
- 31:11Speaker 1: all the insights that I don't know. I feel a
- 31:14Speaker 1: little in the dark, but I'm I am super flattered.
- 31:21Speaker 2: Dumb and dummer are like, So you're telling me there's a.
- 31:23Speaker 4: Chance, there's a chance, always a chance, there's.
- 31:26Speaker 2: Always I'm not gonna you're telling me there's a chance.
- 31:30Speaker 1: There is always a chance. I really was, Bob, I'm
- 31:33Speaker 1: not lying. I was had a few cocktails and I
- 31:35Speaker 1: was really joking when I was pitching my coming back
- 31:37Speaker 1: as the Bachelorette. And then the more I thought about it,
- 31:39Speaker 1: I was like, they'd be really stupid if they don't
- 31:41Speaker 1: jump on something like that. Doesn't have to be me,
- 31:43Speaker 1: but they really stupid, don't jump on that. And the
- 31:46Speaker 1: only other thing I was gonna say, and Trista you
- 31:48Speaker 1: probably can relate is when I look on my social media,
- 31:50Speaker 1: I am literally followed by like ninety eight percent women
- 31:54Speaker 1: and of the women who messaged me, you can imagine
- 31:56Speaker 1: because I was on fifteen years ago, they had been
- 31:59Speaker 1: watching the show and a lot of them will say
- 32:01Speaker 1: even today. Right, they posted yesterday that Tristan, Desiree and
- 32:04Speaker 1: I are on, and so many people wrote me and said,
- 32:06Speaker 1: I just love that. It's the three of you. I've
- 32:08Speaker 1: been well, Trista was on, and I love Trista, and
- 32:11Speaker 1: I love Desiree, and I love you, and I wish
- 32:14Speaker 1: the show would be that again. And there's this right,
- 32:16Speaker 1: That's what I was saying to that night. There is
- 32:19Speaker 1: this beautiful piece that like, you can take this and
- 32:23Speaker 1: you can bring it back to where it started to
- 32:25Speaker 1: what it was when it was really good. You really
- 32:28Speaker 1: can do that.
- 32:29Speaker 3: It can so.
- 32:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I do too. I will love it. I'll just
- 32:37Speaker 1: email some people as soon as I hang ups posted I'm.
- 32:44Speaker 5: Okay.
- 32:45Speaker 1: When the announcement is made, they've got to have me
- 32:47Speaker 1: back on because it would make no sense to have
- 32:48Speaker 1: me on any other podcast. Then that's right, especially if
- 32:51Speaker 1: I've been here so much and listen, we're OG's for
- 32:54Speaker 1: a reason. It has to be released here, don't you
- 32:55Speaker 1: think that's right?
- 32:56Speaker 2: I do. I love it.
- 33:00Speaker 1: There's a chance.
- 33:01Speaker 4: All right, Danna, thank you again for coming on again
- 33:05Speaker 4: and letting us kind of talk hypothetically and in dreamland.
