SPEAKER_01: Hey Google, call Mike Pridgin.
0:38
SPEAKER_02: Would you like to call Mike Pridgin?
0:40
SPEAKER_01: Yes, that's literally what I just said.
0:42
SPEAKER_03: Calling Mike Pridgin.
0:44
SPEAKER_03: It's a little slow, but it's fine otherwise.
0:46
SPEAKER_01: It's taking forever for Canada to reach the US here.
0:49
SPEAKER_03: Is it even ringing?
0:50
SPEAKER_03: This was such a good idea.
0:54
SPEAKER_01: Yep.
0:54
SPEAKER_01: Apparently the lines between the Canada and the US are currently frozen.
1:03
SPEAKER_01: Oh, okay.
1:08
SPEAKER_00: When you have finished recording, you may hang up.
1:10
SPEAKER_01: Mike, you a bitch.
1:12
SPEAKER_03: There we go.
1:13
SPEAKER_03: That's the whole that's all we were going for.
1:15
SPEAKER_03: That giant setup nailed it.
1:18
SPEAKER_01: Couldn't have money.
1:21
SPEAKER_03: But anyway, we were talking about all the animals, what animal we would remove from the earth.
1:25
SPEAKER_03: And Lola, you said bunnies, right?
1:27
SPEAKER_03: You said you would get rid of all bunnies.
1:28
SPEAKER_03: So I think we should start there.
1:30
SPEAKER_03: Just wipe them out, bunnacide.
1:32
SPEAKER_00: As long as it wouldn't disrupt like the ecosystem of the world.
1:35
SPEAKER_00: Oh, it would destroy them.
1:36
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, no, no, no.
1:37
SPEAKER_03: You get rid of one thing.
1:38
SPEAKER_03: Butter, butterfly effect, whatever it is.
1:40
SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
1:40
SPEAKER_03: Or that's the time thing.
1:41
SPEAKER_03: I think butterfly effect's about like the time.
1:43
SPEAKER_03: Or no, is butterfly effect just anything where you do one thing and it leads to other things?
1:46
SPEAKER_03: Or is it specifically with time travel?
1:48
SPEAKER_03: Okay.
1:48
SPEAKER_03: So then yeah, butterfly.
1:50
SPEAKER_03: So if you remove the butt- if you remove the butterflies, then it's a butterfly effect.
1:55
SPEAKER_03: It's a butterfly butterfly.
1:57
SPEAKER_03: It's a fucking butterfly butterfly effect.
2:01
SPEAKER_03: That's cool.
2:02
SPEAKER_03: I don't know why.
2:03
SPEAKER_01: What if you go back in time and remove the butterflies?
2:06
SPEAKER_01: So then it no longer can be a butterfly effect because butterflies don't exist.
2:10
SPEAKER_03: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
2:13
SPEAKER_03: Because they did exist and you went back and removed them.
2:15
SPEAKER_03: So if you remove the butterflies, then you pulled a full-on butterfly butterfly effect, but you did it in the time travel way, which I don't know what I don't know what that is.
2:24
SPEAKER_03: Speaking of time travel, Lola, have you heard they're making a DeLorean again?
2:28
SPEAKER_03: Have you heard did you know this?
2:31
SPEAKER_03: Like they're doing the new Yeah, the the the DeLorean.
2:35
SPEAKER_03: So they're making a new version of it, and we want to save up and get it, but it might take us a little while because it costs$250,000 per car.
2:44
SPEAKER_03: So yeah, it's gonna take us a while, but pretty much every episode we bring up the DeLorean one way or another.
2:49
SPEAKER_03: Not usually two minutes into the episode, but uh you know, no time like the present.
2:54
SPEAKER_01: But hey, butterfly effect when in Rome.
2:56
SPEAKER_03: I I don't know.
2:57
SPEAKER_03: I've heard people say that before.
2:59
SPEAKER_03: So Lola, how you doing?
3:00
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'm not doing too bad.
3:02
SPEAKER_00: Um, it's really exciting to be on a podcast that I actively listen to a lot.
3:07
SPEAKER_00: Not that I, you know, but like it's like, oh, very interesting.
3:11
SPEAKER_00: And this is like its own butterfly effect in a way.
3:13
SPEAKER_01: And you get to see how uh chaotic it is in person.
3:18
SPEAKER_00: I've I I figured it might be a little chaotic.
3:20
SPEAKER_03: But that's if you've listened to this, you gotta know what light you're coming into.
3:23
SPEAKER_03: Like, this is just yeah, sit and chill.
3:26
SPEAKER_03: I I'll like uh not trying to shout it out.
3:28
SPEAKER_03: I just went and recorded for Abby Sharp, and it was like, Oh, here's all the things we're gonna ask you.
3:33
SPEAKER_03: And can you get some light in front of you?
3:34
SPEAKER_03: And I was like, Oh god, rules?
3:36
SPEAKER_03: What the hell is this?
3:38
SPEAKER_03: I don't so yeah, very different, very different around here.
3:41
SPEAKER_01: Maybe we should invite Abby Sharp on here and just be like, Yeah, this is a real podcast.
3:46
SPEAKER_03: I was like, You could come on our podcast, but it's not gonna be like this at all.
3:50
SPEAKER_03: Like, it's very different.
3:52
SPEAKER_03: They cut us off at like half an hour, like, well, let's wrap up.
3:54
SPEAKER_03: Like, all right, cool, see you later.
3:56
SPEAKER_03: I got shit to do, but anyway.
3:58
SPEAKER_03: So yeah.
3:58
SPEAKER_03: So uh Lola, how do you feel about strongman?
4:00
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I can I'd I'd love to talk.
4:03
SPEAKER_00: So uh anyone who doesn't know what strongman is, strongman is basically it used to be a- Maybe before the strongman you should introduce yourself.
4:11
SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah.
4:12
SPEAKER_00: See, I've listened to the podcast and I should know better than that, actually.
4:15
SPEAKER_03: We don't none of us know better.
4:16
SPEAKER_03: It's fine.
4:17
SPEAKER_00: Cool.
4:17
SPEAKER_00: Okay, yeah.
4:18
SPEAKER_00: So I'm Lola Phoenix.
4:19
SPEAKER_00: Um, I do I am an amateur strongman athlete.
4:22
SPEAKER_00: I'm by no means pro.
4:23
SPEAKER_00: Maybe one day I'll be pro, I don't know.
4:26
SPEAKER_00: Um, I'm super into fitness and nutrition.
4:29
SPEAKER_00: I am a mod on on the Discord, so please join the Discord.
4:33
SPEAKER_00: And also, I like on the side, uh my my day job is like marketing, and then I have my own business doing like uh relationship advice content, usually around non-monogamy.
4:44
SPEAKER_00: So that's a me.
4:46
SPEAKER_03: That's a that's a me, a Mario.
4:47
SPEAKER_03: Oh no, that's me a little bit.
4:48
SPEAKER_03: That's a me.
4:49
SPEAKER_00: That's a me, yeah.
4:50
SPEAKER_00: I'm not Italian.
4:51
SPEAKER_00: I don't know what I am.
4:52
SPEAKER_03: You don't know, you haven't have you not done the 23andMe or the ancestry thing?
4:56
SPEAKER_03: Do you are you worried they're gonna take your DNA and do evil things with it?
5:00
SPEAKER_00: Two things about that.
5:01
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like I can't cancel, I can't be like destroy my data.
5:06
SPEAKER_00: I don't like that.
5:07
SPEAKER_00: But also, when I did my I did my degree in international studies, my my master's degree, and one of the things I studies was actually about how blood quantum is harmful to indigenous communities and how things like blood tests and like it's kind of pseudoscientific, and actually those like the idea that you can test where you're from via blood is actually not as accurate as it seems.
5:28
SPEAKER_03: And so there's some accuracy, but not a lot of accuracy.
5:32
SPEAKER_03: So is there a little bit or is there like none?
5:34
SPEAKER_00: Not it's not it's not as accurate as they portray it to be.
5:38
SPEAKER_00: I'm no scientist by all means.
5:39
SPEAKER_00: I was about to say I'm no blood scientist by all means.
5:41
SPEAKER_03: I feel like there's gotta be some truth to it in order to get to the scale it is.
5:44
SPEAKER_03: Like you gotta be able to do something, but I they always oversell, of course they're gonna oversell it.
5:48
SPEAKER_03: I expect other issues, right?
5:50
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, right.
5:50
SPEAKER_00: And like basically the way that they're doing it, because it's like blood quantum, which is if you don't know what blood quantum is, it's like the idea that you can blood test like you're a certain percentage of a tribe or that you can trace your your and that's how a lot of tribes get funding is by going like I've been tested, like, or I'm this percentage.
6:06
SPEAKER_00: And the by defining blood quantum in that way, um, tribes could actually become defined out of existence because of the way that the world is.
6:15
SPEAKER_00: So there's I didn't want to engage in that.
6:18
SPEAKER_00: And also I felt kind of annoyed of having like to pay a company to tell me because I know that I have like indigenous like roots, but I don't know how.
6:25
SPEAKER_00: So I was like, why should I pay you money to tell me who I am?
6:29
SPEAKER_00: And the only reason I don't know who I am is because of you.
6:31
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
6:31
SPEAKER_03: Interesting.
6:32
SPEAKER_03: I only I mean for me, it's just like, oh, you're white, but you're super duper white.
6:37
SPEAKER_03: Like, yeah, I guess I learned how many dupers.
6:39
SPEAKER_03: Like it's super duper duper or super duper duper duper.
6:42
SPEAKER_03: It's just one of those.
6:43
SPEAKER_03: Like it doesn't really doesn't really matter.
6:45
SPEAKER_03: Not really.
6:46
SPEAKER_03: Anyway, what we're talking about, international studies, right?
6:48
SPEAKER_03: So what's the best country?
6:49
SPEAKER_00: The best country, oh, that's I mean what's the best country in the world?
6:53
SPEAKER_00: I am like I was born in America, but I am no longer an American because I um I relinquished my citizenship.
7:00
SPEAKER_00: Um, but I lived in the UK, I'm a British citizen by naturalization, and now I live in Sweden.
7:05
SPEAKER_00: So I'm a s I'm I'm gonna be a Swedish citizen eventually.
7:08
SPEAKER_00: Um Sweden.
7:09
SPEAKER_00: So I could say I think out of the three, which is what I feel I can speak on, out of the three, probably the best.
7:17
SPEAKER_00: But I can't speak for every other country.
7:19
SPEAKER_00: Also, definitely better than Denmark, but that's a whole internal battle between all of the all of the countries like Norway.
7:25
SPEAKER_03: And the dens?
7:26
SPEAKER_00: Swedes, Sweden versus Norway versus Denmark.
7:29
SPEAKER_00: There's a whole like rivalry there.
7:31
SPEAKER_03: So like definitely better than Denmark.
7:33
SPEAKER_03: On like the soccer field or like the orange.
7:36
SPEAKER_00: Different any field.
7:37
SPEAKER_03: Any field.
7:38
SPEAKER_00: Just any field.
7:39
SPEAKER_00: Any way that we can kind of like I'm engaged in the local xenophobia, you know.
7:44
SPEAKER_03: Oh, well, good.
7:46
SPEAKER_03: I'm glad you're getting to know the local traditions.
7:48
SPEAKER_03: That's nice.
7:49
SPEAKER_03: Perfect.
7:50
SPEAKER_03: Even if just like bars, even if even if they do have some troubled, you know, even if there is some even if is some issues in there.
7:59
SPEAKER_03: That's nice.
8:00
SPEAKER_03: But anyway, strongman.
8:01
SPEAKER_03: So what's a what's going on with that?
8:04
SPEAKER_00: So yeah, if you don't know what strongman is, it's basically it used to be a circus act, but now it is like a proper sport, more or less, sort of, and it involves basically just lifting weird and heavy shit.
8:16
SPEAKER_00: So, like we do the Atlas stones, the log presses, the carpools, all sorts of kinds of fun things.
8:22
SPEAKER_00: Some of the events that I like less, like Dinay stones or the like big heavy, like it's called Farmers Walk, which I don't like.
8:29
SPEAKER_00: It's like big heavy side things that you carry.
8:31
SPEAKER_00: So it's fun and it's super fun.
8:33
SPEAKER_01: I did a caber toss when I was like 16, 17.
8:37
SPEAKER_00: What's a caber toss?
8:38
SPEAKER_00: That's like the big thing.
8:39
SPEAKER_01: Where you take the tree and you go.
8:41
SPEAKER_00: You throw it.
8:42
SPEAKER_00: That's more common in Scotland.
8:43
SPEAKER_00: You throw a tree.
8:44
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
8:44
SPEAKER_00: I don't know if it's a lot of things.
8:45
SPEAKER_00: Because why not?
8:46
SPEAKER_03: Why well, yeah.
8:46
SPEAKER_03: I mean, if you're in Scotland, I mean, what else do you got to do?
8:49
SPEAKER_03: Shear sheep and throw trees.
8:51
SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
8:51
SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
8:53
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
8:53
SPEAKER_00: And I think I think it's just fun because I don't know.
8:56
SPEAKER_00: I I picking up big rocks is just it's just a fun thing.
9:00
SPEAKER_00: I feel like, you know, I do so many things on the computer, and like I don't I don't know if I necessarily believe in any ancestors looking over me, but I think, you know, when people think about their ancestors, they don't think about like the poor caveman ancestors, you know.
9:11
SPEAKER_00: They look on you on the computer, they don't know what you're doing, they're confused.
9:15
SPEAKER_00: But if they see you picking up a big rock, I bet they're like, oh perfect logic.
9:19
SPEAKER_00: Making them making them proud.
9:22
SPEAKER_03: I like it.
9:23
SPEAKER_01: I like that you're videos are there on TikTok where it's just a guy throwing stone into water and everybody's like, oh the best.
9:31
SPEAKER_03: Oh, when there's ice and they throw something that breaks the ice.
9:36
SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
9:38
SPEAKER_03: It's I don't know why, but your brain, I think maybe it's maybe it's more of a male thing because I always see on those videos like the male audience is always like in full, full swing there, but there's something about just like throwing something that it breaks like the ice perfectly in the shape that you threw it.
9:52
SPEAKER_03: Nice.
9:53
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
9:53
SPEAKER_03: Do they have strongman for what's strongman ice breaking?
9:59
SPEAKER_00: I don't think so.
10:00
SPEAKER_03: I know they have so they have the farmers' carries.
10:02
SPEAKER_03: I've seen them do different, like all sorts of different things.
10:05
SPEAKER_03: Like they have like a shield carry where you carry like this.
10:09
SPEAKER_03: Oh.
10:10
SPEAKER_00: So that's a based on a stone.
10:11
SPEAKER_00: Oh called the Housafel stones, and it's shaped kind of like a coffin and you carry it.
10:15
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
10:16
SPEAKER_03: And so is there a reason we picked a Hussa who's a Husafel?
10:21
SPEAKER_00: A Housafel stone.
10:23
SPEAKER_00: Just there was there must have been a big rock, some big rock somewhere that somebody was like, This is a good rock.
10:29
SPEAKER_00: We're gonna call it this rock.
10:30
SPEAKER_00: Like the D-Nay stones.
10:32
SPEAKER_00: Who's D Nai?
10:32
SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
10:33
SPEAKER_00: I want to punch him, whoever he is.
10:35
SPEAKER_00: Um, and they just picked them and were like, Yeah, these are the rocks.
10:38
SPEAKER_00: We're gonna name these one particular rocks, and that those are the rocks everyone knows.
10:42
SPEAKER_03: That's what's great about strongman is like, oh, how did this tradition start?
10:46
SPEAKER_03: Well, there was this guy, and he saw a big old rock, and he decided to carry said rock for a while, and other people just joined in, and then we all just kept doing it.
10:55
SPEAKER_03: And like, ever ever since then, we do that same shape rock because that guy saw it that one time.
11:00
SPEAKER_03: I love that.
11:01
SPEAKER_03: That's amazing.
11:02
SPEAKER_03: 10 out of 10.
11:03
SPEAKER_00: I think that's a that's a pretty good.
11:04
SPEAKER_00: I mean, as traditions go, there are much worse traditions and much worse ways to to base traditions off of.
11:10
SPEAKER_03: I feel like most traditions just come back to like racism or something like that, or something, you know, there's usually some sort of like oh it's racism, sexism.
11:20
SPEAKER_03: Like, there's usually something for like I'm better than you, so this is how this traditions is whatever is them.
11:24
SPEAKER_03: But like strong man's like, guy saw big rock.
11:27
SPEAKER_03: Like, that's that's a good tradition, right there.
11:30
SPEAKER_03: That's a great way to start it.
11:31
SPEAKER_03: I like it.
11:32
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
11:33
SPEAKER_03: What's so what's your favorite then?
11:34
SPEAKER_03: What's your favorite?
11:35
SPEAKER_00: My favorite are Atlas Stones.
11:37
SPEAKER_00: Like, I love uh Atlas Stones, and my best lift thus far is 90 kilo Atlas Stone.
11:42
SPEAKER_00: I don't know what that is in Freedom Units.
11:43
SPEAKER_00: I've been away from the Freedom Land too for too long to to know what the pounds are.
11:47
SPEAKER_00: No, it's like 42.
11:48
SPEAKER_03: It's it's like 42 bald eagles.
11:50
SPEAKER_03: So I think like so wait, with Atlas Stone, you have to like pick it up and then place it on something.
11:56
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
11:57
SPEAKER_00: So you pick it up, um, it's it's kind of like a leanover, you pick it up underneath with your hands.
12:02
SPEAKER_00: It's grip strength as well as like raw strength, and then you put it in your lap and then you roll it up and then you put it up on a farm.
12:08
SPEAKER_03: I have seen this.
12:09
SPEAKER_03: I have seen that.
12:10
SPEAKER_03: Why is that one your favorite?
12:11
SPEAKER_03: What's good, what's why, why, why is that one?
12:13
SPEAKER_03: Just big up, pick up big rock.
12:14
SPEAKER_00: It's big rock, and also I just feel like I feel like you know, the things that you tend to be good at, you tend to like more, and then you do more, and then you get better at them, and then it's kind of like a self-fulfilling prophecy.
12:28
SPEAKER_00: Um, and I just think it's yeah, it's just fun.
12:30
SPEAKER_00: It's just okay, okay.
12:31
SPEAKER_01: I just fact-checked me and 92 kilograms is actually 20 to 23 bald eagles.
12:38
SPEAKER_03: Oh, damn.
12:39
SPEAKER_03: When did the bald eagle exchange happen?
12:42
SPEAKER_03: Where they like it changed the like the weight and the metric units of said bald eagles.
12:47
SPEAKER_03: Was that like 2014?
12:49
SPEAKER_03: There's something like that.
12:50
SPEAKER_03: We all came together.
12:50
SPEAKER_03: It doesn't matter, that's not important.
12:52
SPEAKER_03: But uh big weight, big heavy weight.
12:55
SPEAKER_03: That's very that's that's yeah.
12:57
SPEAKER_03: I mean, that's a lot.
12:58
SPEAKER_03: I mean, so like how does one get into strong man?
13:00
SPEAKER_03: Do you think you just gotta for me like watching as a kid?
13:02
SPEAKER_03: Like, I would watch it on like ESPN and I see like big dudes carrying things.
13:06
SPEAKER_03: I'm like, oh, that's cool.
13:07
SPEAKER_03: Then you just go, me do too.
13:09
SPEAKER_03: Is that what it is?
13:10
SPEAKER_00: Like what I I think I think like you have to find, like if you want to actually practice the events, because there are stereotypical events that you can do in any gym, like deadlifting or or to a certain extent some pressing, but like you do need specialist equipment.
13:22
SPEAKER_00: Like if you're gonna lift big logs, like you need the the actual logs.
13:26
SPEAKER_00: If you're gonna work with stones, you need the actual stones.
13:29
SPEAKER_00: If you're gonna do tire flip, you need a big tire somewhere.
13:32
SPEAKER_00: So either maybe you're if you don't have a specialist strong man gym, then maybe you're like out on a farm and you just happen to have all of this stuff around you, and so that's what you do.
13:41
SPEAKER_00: Um, but for the most part, like I knew about it.
13:44
SPEAKER_00: I was training with the trainer, um, and we like got into like I learned more about weightlifting.
13:49
SPEAKER_00: I didn't even mean to weightlift, to be honest.
13:51
SPEAKER_00: I picked the trainer, I was like, I have to do cardio because I was in that mindset of like I must do cardio, that's the thing.
13:57
SPEAKER_02: 100%.
13:58
SPEAKER_00: And I did, I hated running, and so I wanted to do boxing.
14:01
SPEAKER_00: When you do boxing with beginners, like, no offense, but like can't hold the pads right, so you can't really like and you scare them because they're like, ugh.
14:09
SPEAKER_00: And so I found a I looked up a trainer and he was like, I do boxing.
14:13
SPEAKER_00: So I was like, great, let's go.
14:14
SPEAKER_00: And I went and trained with him, and then we did boxing for like 10 minutes, and he was like, All right, now we're gonna weightlift.
14:19
SPEAKER_00: And I was like, uh oh, okay, I guess I'll weightlift.
14:22
SPEAKER_00: Like, I think the boxing was just the warm-up and not the full session.
14:26
SPEAKER_00: But then I was like, this is fun because like with weightlifting, the thing that I love so much about it and strongman in general is that heavier weights mean positive things.
14:36
SPEAKER_00: So, like when you're so used to the idea that lar like bigger weights is bad, then you see yourself progressing.
14:41
SPEAKER_00: You're like, oh, I can lift more and more.
14:43
SPEAKER_00: I feel a lot more empowered.
14:44
SPEAKER_00: Heavier things are are a good thing, like it recontextualizes the whole thing.
14:49
SPEAKER_00: Um, and so I started learning about other weightlifters and found out about strongman.
14:54
SPEAKER_03: Do you think heavier weight equals bad is because we have a stigma around weight, like our body weight?
14:59
SPEAKER_03: Is that why?
14:59
SPEAKER_03: Oh, okay.
15:00
SPEAKER_03: I guess that's what you're saying.
15:01
SPEAKER_00: I I think like the idea, but the idea of weight being like a positive thing was a whole new idea for me because I knew a little bit about strength training, but I never really did it.
15:09
SPEAKER_00: And so when I was like, oh, I can see myself progress, like because it's it's actually quite hard to progress with running.
15:15
SPEAKER_00: Like you get like a little few seconds faster, it doesn't feel as good to me.
15:20
SPEAKER_00: You're like, uh, okay, I'm gonna like two seconds.
15:24
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
15:24
SPEAKER_03: And it's just like it's just running just socks.
15:28
SPEAKER_03: I just hate it's so like here's here's the thing.
15:31
SPEAKER_03: Here's why I love weightlifting.
15:32
SPEAKER_03: It's just because you go in and you just put fucking everything into this one thing.
15:37
SPEAKER_03: You're just cool, and then you put it down and you're done, and then you're done.
15:41
SPEAKER_03: That's that's it.
15:42
SPEAKER_03: And then you could whatever you want to dick around on your phone, you want to like you know, talk to some people, you want to do whatever, you do whatever else else, else else.
15:49
SPEAKER_03: You do whatever else else, and that's fine.
15:51
SPEAKER_03: But like running, you're just like, okay, I'm gonna be like this for the next two hours.
15:56
SPEAKER_03: That sounds awful.
15:57
SPEAKER_03: I hate all of that.
15:59
SPEAKER_01: And there's a chance that I might shit myself doing it.
16:02
SPEAKER_00: I guess that also or trip and fall by that.
16:05
SPEAKER_03: I've seen some people do some things while they're weightlifting, though, that also aren't super great.
16:10
SPEAKER_03: Let's just throw that out there.
16:12
SPEAKER_03: Everything, nosebleeds, other bodily fluids coming out, you know.
16:16
SPEAKER_01: Occasionally you walk past the guy on the leg press that has way too many late w weights on it, and there's, you know, the smell of something coming out of there.
16:24
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, and plus everyone's eating protein, so like that's all I'm saying.
16:28
SPEAKER_03: Like, the smell isn't the best.
16:30
SPEAKER_03: So, like, we'll give that to runners.
16:31
SPEAKER_03: Like, I'm not too worried about that because we got our own shit, not pun intended, going on.
16:36
SPEAKER_03: But, you know, at least this way, like you just do it, and then it's and then you're just done with it.
16:40
SPEAKER_03: And that's why I like weightlifting like so much more.
16:43
SPEAKER_03: If you're doing cardio, it has to be some sort of game to make it fun for me, at least.
16:47
SPEAKER_00: You're like a more of a piercing guy than a tattooing guy.
16:50
SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
16:51
SPEAKER_00: It's a piercing, you get it done, it's over, and then yeah, maybe there's a bit of healing, but like it's done.
16:56
SPEAKER_00: Whereas tattoos.
17:01
SPEAKER_03: I'd sit there for like hours.
17:02
SPEAKER_03: I had to like tattoo on my arm, big.
17:34
SPEAKER_03: I sit there for hours and hours.
17:35
SPEAKER_03: And eventually it's like, oh, can this just be done?
17:37
SPEAKER_03: Holy oh, well, let's we're done.
17:39
SPEAKER_03: Wait for your next session.
17:40
SPEAKER_03: Next session, what the hell?
17:42
SPEAKER_03: You know, like so.
17:43
SPEAKER_03: I'd rather just get it done.
17:44
SPEAKER_03: And that's why I think like when you have the people that are the cardio fans or the weightlifting fans, I feel like that's the biggest like call, the biggest thing that brings you to one or the other, right?
17:54
SPEAKER_03: For me, I think that's that's the case.
17:56
SPEAKER_01: So when are you when are we gonna see you with a septum piercing?
17:59
SPEAKER_03: I don't have any piercings.
18:00
SPEAKER_03: I have all the holes I was born with, and I haven't added any yet, at least.
18:05
SPEAKER_03: We'll say more holes.
18:07
SPEAKER_01: I I there's I mean hey, everybody, if we raise enough money for the DeLorean, we maybe we can uh convince Liam to get a piercing.
18:15
SPEAKER_03: I would do a Dean piercing.
18:17
SPEAKER_00: Make it a Patreon goal.
18:18
SPEAKER_01: A DeLorean piercing.
18:20
SPEAKER_03: Can it be like a would we do a nipple ring a nipple piercing, a belly button ring sort of thing?
18:25
SPEAKER_01: You know what?
18:26
SPEAKER_01: Dealer's choice.
18:27
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
18:27
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
18:28
SPEAKER_03: The dealership is where I'm going to get my DeLorean, ironically.
18:31
SPEAKER_01: You just walk up to the dealer.
18:33
SPEAKER_01: Okay, I'm buying this DeLorean.
18:34
SPEAKER_01: Where should I get a piercing?
18:36
SPEAKER_03: What DeLorean piercing would you recommend?
18:39
SPEAKER_03: And he's like, Oh, thank goodness.
18:40
SPEAKER_03: I don't get asked this question nearly enough.
18:42
SPEAKER_03: Ears.
18:43
SPEAKER_03: Everybody thinks you do the belly button, ears is the way to go.
18:45
SPEAKER_03: And then I walk out and everything's great.
18:47
SPEAKER_03: And then I spend$250,000 for a fucking car.
18:51
SPEAKER_00: And then he also does piercings.
18:53
SPEAKER_03: Oh, and he he does the piercings too in the car.
18:56
SPEAKER_03: Pretty sick.
18:57
SPEAKER_03: Pretty sick.
18:58
SPEAKER_03: That would make good content.
19:00
SPEAKER_03: What car do you think most uh strong men drive?
19:02
SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, I'm like the wrong person to ask about this because like I literally I don't drive.
19:07
SPEAKER_00: Like oh, you know, okay.
19:08
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, honestly, if if I if I was gonna be strongman and I was gonna pick something to drive, it would be a DeLorean because it would only go so far and then I'd have to push it.
19:17
SPEAKER_03: Oh, like a shitty car, and then you have to like pull it or we have to pull it.
19:22
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I've seen the strong oh man, the strong man where they pull the plane, that shit's badass.
19:27
SPEAKER_03: Have you seen that?
19:28
SPEAKER_03: That's so cool.
19:29
SPEAKER_03: Like, I'm sure, like, I don't know if that's the hardest thing to pull because like it's on wheels or whatever, like that.
19:34
SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, but I mean so are the buses and and trucks, they're on wheels as well.
19:38
SPEAKER_03: Buses and trucks are super cool, but when you see a plane, when you see a giant ass plane moving, you're like, oh, that's pretty cool.
19:45
SPEAKER_03: What do you think is the most overhyped um uh struggling thing?
19:50
SPEAKER_03: But it's like everyone looks into it and you're like, oh, it's not even that great.
19:54
SPEAKER_00: They get they get it's really annoying.
19:56
SPEAKER_00: They like once an event is in like a big competition, some of the smaller competitions, which are the ones that I compete in, they'll be like, Oh, let's do this event.
20:04
SPEAKER_00: And like Dine Stones has been like the thing that everybody wants to do, which I hate.
20:08
SPEAKER_00: So if you don't know what DNA stones are, firstly, they're stupid.
20:11
SPEAKER_00: Secondly, yeah, there's just two big rocks, and you hold, but it's like a round, a round thing you're holding on to.
20:18
SPEAKER_00: So it really hurts.
20:19
SPEAKER_00: There's no good way to grip it.
20:21
SPEAKER_00: You either have to grip it like this, or you have to grip it with your thumb locked, which can sometimes mean you pull on this, and it's it's just so uncomfortable.
20:28
SPEAKER_00: And then the r rocks bash against the side of your legs, so you have to wear them.
20:32
SPEAKER_03: Wait, wait, wait, let me back up.
20:33
SPEAKER_03: You're carrying these things like a farmer's carry, is that what's going on?
20:35
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but it's it's a round handle, so it hurts more for no reason because DNA, whoever he is, is a jerk, and so you're carrying these two big things, and you're kind of have to walk like this, and then you like they're bashing against your legs.
20:49
SPEAKER_00: It's awful.
20:50
SPEAKER_03: Penguin walk.
20:51
SPEAKER_03: Penguin walk's a good one.
20:52
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's a good way to describe it.
20:53
SPEAKER_00: There is an event called Duck Walk, which is a lot more fun, which is just one way in the middle, and then you kind of like walk like this.
20:58
SPEAKER_03: I kind of like that's kind of bad.
21:00
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, like that more.
21:01
SPEAKER_00: You do you do run the risk though of just like stomping and going nowhere, like just Being like a like a Donkey Kong character, but like dang ding dang without going anywhere.
21:10
SPEAKER_00: But it's still fun.
21:11
SPEAKER_00: It's at least fun.
21:12
SPEAKER_00: The D ne stones, I I I don't like it.
21:14
SPEAKER_00: And I think you should be allowed to like do a tornado, like spin, but I think that would be probably way too dangerous.
21:21
SPEAKER_00: Like fling a rocket.
21:25
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, just helicopter way to the end, but I don't think you end up somewhere completely different because you can't watch it.
21:31
SPEAKER_00: Like or you just fling the stone into the audience.
21:34
SPEAKER_00: That's like yeah.
21:36
SPEAKER_03: Well, what about the keg throw?
21:37
SPEAKER_03: Do you like that?
21:38
SPEAKER_03: I see that one a lot.
21:39
SPEAKER_03: Like that.
21:39
SPEAKER_03: What do you do?
21:40
SPEAKER_03: Do you ever do that one?
21:41
SPEAKER_03: Like you take the keg and you throw it over your head and you like your backwards and you throw it over keg toss.
21:46
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
21:46
SPEAKER_03: Take the keg and you throw it over your head backwards over something.
21:49
SPEAKER_00: So we have like bag toss, which is similar.
21:52
SPEAKER_00: Keg toss, I haven't done because I'm short as fuck.
21:54
SPEAKER_00: I'm five foot one.
21:56
SPEAKER_03: That's a real problem.
21:57
SPEAKER_03: You need a mini keg.
21:57
SPEAKER_00: That is a that is I need any event that involves me having to like throw something up.
22:04
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'm in me.
22:05
SPEAKER_00: I throw it directly up, and then I'm like, uh, and like that's what happens nine times out of ten.
22:09
SPEAKER_00: I'm I'm really not good at that.
22:11
SPEAKER_00: But then I don't have that in my strongman gym.
22:13
SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't have any form of bag toss.
22:15
SPEAKER_00: So I can't practice it, so I'm worse at it, so I don't like it.
22:19
SPEAKER_00: And then it's a self-fulfilling prophecy.
22:21
SPEAKER_00: But but it looks fun.
22:22
SPEAKER_00: The big kegs look fun.
22:23
SPEAKER_00: I don't think that I would, I don't think any of them, I'd think I could sit on one.
22:28
SPEAKER_00: I don't think I could toss one.
22:30
SPEAKER_00: I'd think I could jump on top and sit on one.
22:32
SPEAKER_00: Um, but yeah, the height is an issue.
22:35
SPEAKER_03: That's pretty much what I would do when I work in the restaurant.
22:37
SPEAKER_03: It was like really hot outside in like the summer.
22:39
SPEAKER_03: I would just go into where like the coolers are with the kegs, and I just sit on it.
22:42
SPEAKER_03: Like, I'll be back in a little bit.
22:43
SPEAKER_03: And it's nice and cool.
22:44
SPEAKER_03: As you sit on it, it's kind of refreshing.
22:47
SPEAKER_03: It's nice.
22:48
SPEAKER_00: I think we should vary it up a little bit.
22:52
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, preferably not.
22:54
SPEAKER_00: You just go flying off.
22:56
SPEAKER_03: A full keg when they're full of beer, those things, how much I don't know how much those weigh, but I'm telling you, I know they're not throwing those because those things weigh like uh so many bald eagles.
23:05
SPEAKER_03: Like it's got to be like Bjornsen.
23:08
SPEAKER_00: Maybe like Hathor Bjornsen could do that.
23:10
SPEAKER_03: Maybe those things are so throwing it.
23:12
SPEAKER_03: Like Carrie, yeah, man.
23:13
SPEAKER_03: I would drag those things like this, this sucks.
23:16
SPEAKER_03: I hate especially on a busy night.
23:18
SPEAKER_03: So what what kind of uh I want to make sure we get into what kind of um um what's the word for it?
23:24
SPEAKER_03: The drama do we have going on in the in the strongman world?
23:27
SPEAKER_03: I want to know.
23:28
SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
23:29
SPEAKER_00: So this happened a few a few weeks ago, actually, basically in the official strongman games.
23:34
SPEAKER_00: Um a lot of competitions and a lot of uh like strongmen is still a very gendered sport.
23:40
SPEAKER_00: It's very segregated by gender.
23:41
SPEAKER_00: There are women's and there are men's competitions.
23:44
SPEAKER_02: Okay.
23:44
SPEAKER_00: Um there aren't there are some open competitions where anyone can compete, but generally speaking, like things are quite gendered.
23:52
SPEAKER_00: It's it's quite hard for women, like strong women, or I say strong men, I think strong men is gender neutral, but strong women competitions like have the same struggles as women's sports do in general, like not enough funding.
24:03
SPEAKER_00: Um I am non-binary, but I generally can usually compete in the women's.
24:08
SPEAKER_00: If I could lift the men's stuff, I would compete in the men, like I'd I'd go for the open stuff, but I'm I'm not even in the heavy category of the women's section yet.
24:15
SPEAKER_00: So, like, you know, one step at a time.
24:17
SPEAKER_00: Um, but it's very gendered.
24:20
SPEAKER_00: Um, and the way that this is regulated, like, strongman isn't like an Olympic sport yet, maybe one day.
24:25
SPEAKER_00: Um, but it's so the regulations of like how how do they police this, how do they decide this?
24:31
SPEAKER_00: It's kind of like um in some places where the official strongman games happened a few weeks ago, they have rules that like you have to be biologically born a woman or biologically born a man.
24:42
SPEAKER_00: And under like what ended up happening was a trans woman entered into the women's competition, from what I know, didn't say, didn't like agreed to those rules and beat uh like one first place, but I think by like one point, not like blew everyone out of the water.
25:01
SPEAKER_00: And the community got really upset or like it a whole drama, like she got stripped of her title, she got stripped of another title as well that she had won.
25:10
SPEAKER_00: And the thing about it is like, okay, I'm not an exercise scientist, I'm not an expert in like physiology.
25:17
SPEAKER_00: From what I know of exercise science, a women aren't studied very much in general, like most of the exercise science studies are on men anyway.
25:25
SPEAKER_00: Um athletes are always going to be, especially pro-athletes, are always not going to be within the normal range of anybody.
25:32
SPEAKER_00: So they're not even generally reflective.
25:35
SPEAKER_00: Um, and like I also feel like in a sport where we're also not testing for performance-enhancing drugs, as a first and foremost.
25:42
SPEAKER_03: Oh, do they not exist at all?
25:45
SPEAKER_03: I always wondered, I never really knew.
25:47
SPEAKER_03: I never really like knew, but I mean, to get to like the size that the these people are and like lift the weights they are.
25:53
SPEAKER_03: If you like, obviously you have to use whatever you have to use, but I always I kind of always thought it was like the okay, we're testing on Thursday.
26:01
SPEAKER_03: So if you're gonna need to make sure you get like, you know, like they just kind of let you know, and they it's just so they can say that they test or whatever.
26:08
SPEAKER_00: But as far as I know, I'm not a pro and I haven't been in pro competitions.
26:12
SPEAKER_00: Um, and that's that's the interesting thing about me is that I so I am non-binary.
26:17
SPEAKER_00: I also don't produce estrogen or testosterone.
26:20
SPEAKER_00: Um, I or I have very low testosterone because of my disability.
26:24
SPEAKER_00: Um, and I actually can't supplement testosterone to get me at an equal level that most like women assigned female at birth women would be, because A, because that would be considered doping by the Swedish like uh authorities, like uh like sports authorities, I've been told by my endocrinologists, and also because there is no scientific evidence for long-term testosterone supplementation in somebody like me.
26:49
SPEAKER_00: So they can't guarantee that it's safe either.
26:52
SPEAKER_00: So I'm technically at a disadvantage.
26:54
SPEAKER_00: And yet when we're talking out about like fairness, do I get like an extra point in competitions?
27:00
SPEAKER_00: Also, like height, like these strong, like the the the sizes of the platforms are not adjusted by height.
27:07
SPEAKER_00: So, like if I have to the platforms are the same no matter how tall you are.
27:10
SPEAKER_03: Is there one that's better because you're short?
27:13
SPEAKER_03: Are there any events that actually being short is helpful or no?
27:16
SPEAKER_03: Is it pretty much all some this is worse?
27:18
SPEAKER_00: Some people would say that the push press are are easier because like I don't have to lift as much.
27:24
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like I don't have to push as much, like lift as much from the ground and push up as much.
27:29
SPEAKER_00: You could argue that.
27:30
SPEAKER_00: But like, you know, but I think as far as I know, they don't test for any performance-enhancing drugs.
27:36
SPEAKER_01: And I also think that like what's the one where like it's the two stones that are falling sideways, and if you'll hold it.
27:43
SPEAKER_03: That's what I was thinking.
27:43
SPEAKER_03: That's what I'm saying.
27:44
SPEAKER_03: Oh, the Hercules hold.
27:45
SPEAKER_03: The Hercules holds one of my favorites.
27:47
SPEAKER_01: Imagine if you're short that your legs would just come off the platform.
27:51
SPEAKER_01: You're holding on to this and you're just floating.
27:53
SPEAKER_03: Because I'm figuring, but like if you're shorter, if you have shorter arms and a shorter wingspan, then they're not out as far, so maybe they're easier to like hold together.
28:01
SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
28:03
SPEAKER_00: We need like an exercise mechanic.
28:04
SPEAKER_00: Mechanic?
28:05
SPEAKER_00: That's the right word for sure.
28:06
SPEAKER_00: Exercise mechanic.
28:07
SPEAKER_03: I have an English word before them.
28:09
SPEAKER_03: Thank you very much.
28:10
SPEAKER_00: But yeah, so the for me, like the drama was really frustrating just because like I I understand like a lot of the men's events will be double the weights that women's are.
28:20
SPEAKER_00: I, you know, and I understand to a certain extent why they divide into genders, and I understand to a certain extent why they divide by like heavy and and light and things like that.
28:30
SPEAKER_00: But, you know, there's ways that we can have this discussion.
28:33
SPEAKER_00: Like the thing that sort of frustrated me was that I saw a lot of people be like, we have to protect women's sports and protect women.
28:40
SPEAKER_00: And I'm just like, I I don't think that anyone's like, no one's like transitioning to like win a competition.
28:48
SPEAKER_00: Like that's that's just not happening.
28:49
SPEAKER_03: I think that's the idea, right?
28:51
SPEAKER_03: Is that like with the your the people go into it and trans are like transitioning just so they can win this title.
28:56
SPEAKER_03: Like that's the common trope that's that's pushed, which would be like, wow, that's a you really won the medal and you're changing your entire life just just for this.
29:05
SPEAKER_00: It's also just ridiculous because like my very first strongman competition that I ever competed in was a small local women, and it was one women's branch, no, there was no variation in light or heavy.
29:16
SPEAKER_00: And literally, and I'm not like shit talking the woman who who came in and like beat us all, but she literally came in and one of our uh one of our events was sandbag and like carrying a sandbag, putting it over a a yoke and then going back and forth as many reps as we could.
29:31
SPEAKER_00: We were like lifting it and like she was picking it up like this, like with her two fingers and placing it over.
29:38
SPEAKER_00: Like it was so easy for her.
29:40
SPEAKER_00: So, like the idea, like you you can already, if you're strong enough, like I'm sure the pro uh strong men, it's pro-strong women now, like Lucy Underdown, she could go into the men's competition and she could wipe the floor with all of them.
29:54
SPEAKER_00: Like strength at different levels is always gonna really vary.
29:58
SPEAKER_00: And the problem that I have, I've also seen like somebody, I knew somebody that in Sweden we had strong women, the Sweden's strongest woman under 72 kilos, and then Sweden's strongest woman under 82 kilos.
30:10
SPEAKER_00: So one woman that I know went to weigh in for the under 72.
30:14
SPEAKER_00: She didn't make the weight like by like a couple kilos, and she had to compete in the under 82s.
30:19
SPEAKER_00: And she couldn't, like, she did like think the first event, but then she couldn't, like, literally couldn't compete.
30:24
SPEAKER_00: Um, and I I would have to be in that core category too, and I'm nowhere near as strong as her.
30:29
SPEAKER_00: So I think like I what's frustrating for me is this, this, the narrative around like we can talk about like fairness and strong men and like different weight classes, and like what is fairness and how do we make things more fair?
30:41
SPEAKER_00: Because I think the weight stuff isn't always fair either.
30:44
SPEAKER_00: Um, but the way that people discussed it and the way that it came across, it just like it got to a point of like uh, you know, people saying stuff like, you know, I have nothing wrong with how anybody wants to identify, but I don't think a man should be competing with women.
30:57
SPEAKER_00: And it's like a swing and a miss, dude.
30:59
SPEAKER_00: A swing and a miss.
31:00
SPEAKER_00: Like that's it.
31:01
SPEAKER_00: Just reminded me of growing up, like I had a LGBT relative and I'm bi.
31:05
SPEAKER_00: And like growing up, people saying, I don't have a problem with your relatives um being gay, but I just don't support that lifestyle.
31:12
SPEAKER_00: It's like, that's the same thing.
31:13
SPEAKER_00: You're saying the same thing.
31:15
SPEAKER_00: Like, that's not like I don't have a problem with it.
31:18
SPEAKER_01: I just have a problem with it.
31:19
SPEAKER_00: And yeah, so I think that's what was frustrating about it.
31:22
SPEAKER_00: It's just like the narrative around it was very much around like, oh, like protecting women's sport.
31:28
SPEAKER_00: And it's like just like like all of my competitions last year were canceled because there weren't enough women competing or there weren't enough women people wanting to compete in the women's category.
31:37
SPEAKER_00: Um, and I actually did a queer strongman competition in London last year that had no gender separation.
31:43
SPEAKER_00: It was just based on ability, like you picked based on what you thought your ability was.
31:48
SPEAKER_00: And that sometimes has its drawbacks too.
31:50
SPEAKER_00: But like, I don't think that we necessarily have to separate it this way.
31:54
SPEAKER_00: Um, and I'm actually trying to work on like an app that can take basically take people's stats of like their best lifts through there's something called strength results, which is where they post all the competition results, and actually like generate, like instead of picking the events, picking the weight classes, having the athletes have to match it, it can generate the weights for each event and group the athletes based on ability rather than actually forcing them into a slot of what they're what they think they're capable of.
32:23
SPEAKER_00: Um and I think that would be much better.
32:25
SPEAKER_00: Like, I feel like we can do better than just having to separate it this way.
32:28
SPEAKER_00: But yeah, the drama was.
32:34
SPEAKER_00: I mean, and and we have the stats.
32:37
SPEAKER_00: We have like it, I understand it might be more difficult for people just starting out, but we have like all the stats available.
32:42
SPEAKER_00: And and there's a website called Strength Results where all your competition stats are posted, like all your best lifts, the more you compete, the more stats you have there.
32:51
SPEAKER_00: So, like, we could do that.
32:53
SPEAKER_00: We could just create events, like create weight classes based off of how what people actually lift rather than, and then it might be blend gender blended, it might not be, it might, you know, but let it be about ability rather than necessarily be about like you know, unfortunately, if you do that and they start gender blending it, it's instantly going to be men complaining that women are beating them.
33:15
SPEAKER_00: If I mean that's the thing, you know.
33:20
SPEAKER_00: I think that some women, strong women wouldn't mind competing against men if they were matched for ability, but I don't know if that some men would mind competing against women if and then losing to them.
33:30
SPEAKER_00: That's the thing.
33:31
SPEAKER_03: So, like competing against ability, would it just be then like what's your best lift?
33:35
SPEAKER_03: And then you kind of groups them all together, and then those people with those lifts are put together.
33:40
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, so like the way you're saying when you had to walk over.
33:43
SPEAKER_03: Sorry about that.
33:43
SPEAKER_03: Oakley's over here, she's like, hey, what's going on?
33:46
SPEAKER_03: I want to be a strong woman.
33:47
SPEAKER_03: That's I got my toys.
33:49
unknown: Toys.
33:49
SPEAKER_03: Toys.
33:50
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, she's got toys.
33:51
SPEAKER_00: But yeah, it would be like that, where basically they we pick events, we say, All right, these are the events we're gonna have, and then the athletes apply and they're interested in it, and then we can pull their stats either from their best lifts, or there's something called strength results, which has all of your competitions in them.
34:08
SPEAKER_00: And then we pull that we pull that data in, and then yeah, we can we can generate through technology and through science what we're gonna do.
34:18
SPEAKER_01: Unfortunately, Liam has to take the headphones off in the middle of the explanation again.
34:23
SPEAKER_00: No, that's fine.
34:24
SPEAKER_00: No worries, no worries.
34:25
SPEAKER_01: But yeah, like that's that's one of the biggest things would be just men get really butthurt when women beat them, even if it's a completely fair competition.
34:35
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
34:36
SPEAKER_00: And I mean, I I think there's so many things to talk about when it comes to fairness as well, like the height thing I was mentioning, like me with not not having low testosterone and not being able to actually supplement it to the point where I'm technically equal to somebody who is born with the same situation as me.
34:54
SPEAKER_00: Um, and then also just like, I mean, I think someone probably said it best, uh, I read somebody's response to it when they said like sport is somewhat inherently unfair because like people will, you know, they'll gravitate towards the things that they tend to be able to do really easily, and then they get better at them because they keep doing them and and things like that.
35:14
SPEAKER_00: And also like parental and family support and things like that are factors that nobody really takes into consideration when it comes to sport.
35:21
SPEAKER_00: Um, but I think it's it's it's the thing of like when you get pro, it starts to become a more about money.
35:26
SPEAKER_00: And the thing that quite frustrated me was that after this whole kind of blow-up happened, people started targeting other strong women competitors and like questioning whether or not they were women, like literally like making comments on their photos of like, oh, you don't look like are you also like trans?
35:43
SPEAKER_00: Are you also not a woman?
35:44
SPEAKER_00: And like it the blow, like it inevitably harmed a lot more women than I think it helped.
35:49
SPEAKER_00: Um, and that's what sometimes like things like this end up doing.
35:52
SPEAKER_00: Like they end up harming more people than actually making anything fairer or better for anybody.
35:56
SPEAKER_01: And now we got special guest Oakley on the show.
35:58
SPEAKER_03: Hey, Oakley.
35:59
SPEAKER_03: Hey, can you say hi, Oakley?
36:02
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
36:02
SPEAKER_03: She's like, I want to be a strong woman when I get older.
36:05
SPEAKER_03: Strong man, isn't that right?
36:06
SPEAKER_03: Either or.
36:07
SPEAKER_03: Strong person.
36:08
SPEAKER_00: Strong person sounds so weird.
36:10
SPEAKER_03: Strong person does sound a little weird.
36:12
SPEAKER_03: I feel like we need a new, like a new brand, and then you gotta get people to that.
36:15
SPEAKER_01: Can I just call them a strongy?
36:16
SPEAKER_01: That's what they do in Australia, probably.
36:18
SPEAKER_03: I like strong-y, I'm not gonna lie.
36:20
SPEAKER_03: It's kind of like when uh, you know, what was it?
36:22
SPEAKER_03: Cyramus uh changed to what is it, Star Wars?
36:25
SPEAKER_03: Like we're just a totally different thing.
36:28
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, see?
36:29
SPEAKER_03: That's what she wants.
36:30
SPEAKER_03: She's like, Yeah, strong.
36:31
SPEAKER_03: We're going with that.
36:32
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, strongy sounds good.
36:33
SPEAKER_00: Strong one sounds like ominous.
36:36
SPEAKER_03: Strong one kind of sounds like matrixy.
36:38
SPEAKER_03: We're like the strong one.
36:41
SPEAKER_03: There can only be one.
36:42
SPEAKER_01: I am the strong one.
36:43
SPEAKER_03: I I don't know, that's kind of cool too.
36:45
SPEAKER_03: That's kind of cool.
36:46
SPEAKER_03: Then then you're you're labeled the one at the end when you win.
36:49
SPEAKER_03: Like there can only be one strong one.
36:52
SPEAKER_01: Oh, dang.
36:53
SPEAKER_03: I kind of like no, I like this more now than strong one.
36:55
SPEAKER_01: And then you kill everybody else and absorb their powers.
36:57
SPEAKER_03: You have to murder every other failed contestant.
37:00
SPEAKER_03: I don't think we'll be getting a lot of people in on this one.
37:03
SPEAKER_00: It's like the super hunger games.
37:05
SPEAKER_03: The super.
37:11
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, the hungry.
37:12
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I I'm just saying, I I don't think this is I think this is a pretty good idea.
37:16
SPEAKER_03: More, yeah, more, more names, more names.
37:18
SPEAKER_03: That's what she's saying.
37:19
SPEAKER_03: She's like, hey, we need more names.
37:20
SPEAKER_03: We got we gotta get more ideas for your people.
37:23
SPEAKER_03: Come on.
37:25
SPEAKER_03: Uh so what would you recommend for people though, like trying to get into to being a strong one?
37:29
SPEAKER_00: Oh, I mean, I think definitely like look and find like a community local to you, see if there are any strongman gyms, um, or see if you can just follow um like strongman athletes.
37:41
SPEAKER_00: Like a lot of them are really nice.
37:42
SPEAKER_00: The cool thing that came out of the whole, like, is it was very upsetting.
37:46
SPEAKER_00: Like, the whole is you see other people come out of the woodwork when something like this happens.
37:50
SPEAKER_00: Like people who the the competitions that I used to go to in southern Sweden, like the guy who runs them posted this, uh, posted something.
37:57
SPEAKER_00: And it was in Swedish, and I wish I'd screencapped it because also I'm working with another language, so I and I understand Swedish a fair amount, but I don't know if it's like connotation, things like that.
38:07
SPEAKER_00: Like that that's the kind of di like nuance that I miss.
38:10
SPEAKER_00: But he posted something about like, oh, I don't like similar, like, I don't care how people identify, but I don't think men should compete with women or something like that.
38:17
SPEAKER_00: And I was just like, uh, so like I I think, you know, that was a really big struggle of just like seeing people that like I thought like maybe would be more supportive or less supportive, but then also seeing people who were really, really supportive.
38:29
SPEAKER_00: And like Ines Carastillo, who is like the she won the Arnold classic, um, the Arnold Strong Woman classic.
38:35
SPEAKER_00: She's like the strongest woman in the world or one of them.
38:37
SPEAKER_00: Um, and she's won multiple events.
38:39
SPEAKER_00: Um, and she was like really supportive, and she's like, look, I'm bisexual, like you know, we can get along as a community, like you don't have to talk like this.
38:46
SPEAKER_00: And um, I sent her a message, like, so thank you.
38:49
SPEAKER_00: And she responded to me and she added me as a friend, and I was like, oh my God, she's added me as a friend.
38:54
SPEAKER_00: Um, but like a lot of strong men, like they seem scary, but the a lot of people are really approachable and kind.
38:59
SPEAKER_00: Um, and we're really like, I didn't even think I'd compete.
39:02
SPEAKER_00: Like, I just got into the classes, I was just barely lifting the 45 kilo sandbag.
39:07
SPEAKER_00: I was struggling.
39:08
SPEAKER_00: Um, and it's because of like all the encouragement that I got from like people who are who are friendly.
39:13
SPEAKER_00: Like, even if you've had to deal with watching this kind of like gross situation happen, there's still a lot of really kind and friendly people, and people just like lifting big rocks.
39:22
SPEAKER_00: So just try to find out.
39:23
SPEAKER_01: I feel like a lot of the people that are the gross, unkind aren't even they they look like frail, weak, or they're sitting on their couch drinking a beer, or yeah, or of course they have the um the Bible quote in their uh in their uh yeah.
39:38
SPEAKER_03: So what I'm getting though is Loyola Lola is saying is find the biggest, strongest person and just follow them around.
39:44
SPEAKER_03: Just everywhere they go, just follow them, the grocery store, wherever they decide to go, and you learn from them.
39:50
SPEAKER_03: No, okay.
39:50
SPEAKER_01: Oakley says, And then eventually you kill them and absorb their power.
39:54
SPEAKER_03: That's how you become the one.
39:56
SPEAKER_00: You get it through like like radiation.
39:59
SPEAKER_00: You can just get it from hanging out with them.
40:01
SPEAKER_00: That's totally how it works.
40:02
SPEAKER_00: I totally agree with that.
40:03
SPEAKER_00: But they're kind.
40:04
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, they're really are.
40:05
SPEAKER_03: They're really like the nicest people, right?
40:07
SPEAKER_03: Oakley, like the like the bigger people might look scary, but generally they're like the super nice, they're like the nicest people.
40:12
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
40:14
SPEAKER_00: And then I also think like definitely support strong men events, especially strong women shows, because like we don't have enough support.
40:20
SPEAKER_00: Like, if you really want to support women's sport, watch it, watch it and and engage with it and follow it and show sponsors that it's worth sponsoring these things.
40:30
SPEAKER_00: Um, the Arnold Classic and stuff like that, you might have to pay to watch, but like all the rest, like a lot of local competitions are streamed online or they might be like free to go.
40:40
SPEAKER_00: Like all of the competitions I've ever been in that I've um ever participated in, people could come and watch, like anyone can.
40:47
SPEAKER_00: And it's super fun.
40:48
SPEAKER_00: And it's it's you know, and and that's the crazy thing about like people thinking that people are trying to cheat, is that it's it's actually quite boring.
40:56
SPEAKER_00: If you watch a competition and there's just one person like completely demolishing everybody else, it's boring.
41:03
SPEAKER_00: It's not interesting, it's not interesting for anyone competing, it's not interesting.
41:06
SPEAKER_00: For people watching.
41:08
SPEAKER_00: So like it's much more fun.
41:09
SPEAKER_00: And we all enjoy it a lot more when it's actually like competitive and when there's actually like, you know, more of a like exciting tension of like, oh, is it like one person's like two points away or two people are neck and neck?
41:24
SPEAKER_00: Like, that's a lot more fun than somebody just coming in and bowling over everybody.
41:28
SPEAKER_00: That's very boring and not fun for anybody.
41:30
SPEAKER_01: Can you imagine hockey if it was just one person just goal, goal, goal, goal, goal?
41:37
SPEAKER_01: All the other guys are just kind of skating around, maybe like picking their nose.
41:41
SPEAKER_00: Or like me trying to play basketball, like a million me's trying to play basketball against like Michael Jordan or or another some other basketball player that is much taller than I am.
41:51
SPEAKER_00: Of just all just trying to like and then I'm just going, it's difficult to do that.
41:56
SPEAKER_01: You're showing your age.
41:57
SPEAKER_00: Is there a better one?
41:58
SPEAKER_00: I don't I don't know.
41:59
SPEAKER_00: I don't know basketball.
41:59
SPEAKER_00: I mean, I really don't know basketball.
42:01
SPEAKER_01: I know there's the the LeBron era.
42:03
SPEAKER_01: I don't know if there's somebody new because I'm also old, but there's you know I don't know anything about the basket.
42:09
SPEAKER_00: I know the ball goes in the basket.
42:11
SPEAKER_00: The ball goes in the basket, I know that much, and one side represents the other.
42:16
SPEAKER_00: See, I feel like I'm into sport, but like I only know strongman.
42:19
SPEAKER_00: So like if ever I'm talking to somebody who's like, oh, you're into sports, I'm like, I'm into strongman, and then they start talking about like football, or I'm like, I don't know anything about that.
42:27
SPEAKER_01: I know about big rocks, that's all I you would take the ball and then you would do the keg toss with it.
42:32
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
42:33
SPEAKER_00: Oh, look at how high it went, eh?
42:35
SPEAKER_00: Now I have to run away from it because I've tossed it up instead of that way or behind.
42:41
SPEAKER_01: My friend who uh he went to to shoot and he shot behind him somehow.
42:47
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like a gun.
42:48
SPEAKER_01: And he was on the A-team in in high school.
42:51
SPEAKER_00: Oh, in basketball.
42:52
SPEAKER_00: See, uh now I'm talking about an American because you said you said shoot, and I was like, a gun?
42:56
SPEAKER_01: Shoot, shoot.
42:58
SPEAKER_01: He went to shoot a basket in basketball and the ball went backwards.
43:03
SPEAKER_03: I've seen that a few times.
43:04
SPEAKER_03: I've never seen someone do it with a gun before.
43:06
SPEAKER_01: Now that would be interesting.
43:08
SPEAKER_01: I that would be a backfire, and that would be they they can only you can only do it once.
43:12
SPEAKER_03: You can only do it.
43:13
SPEAKER_01: You can only do it once.
43:14
SPEAKER_01: Yep.
43:14
SPEAKER_03: Like anything is edible one time.
43:17
SPEAKER_00: Is that when the when the like end of it is plugged up with like a cork or something, like in the cartoons?
43:22
SPEAKER_03: I think you have to use your only thing that works.
43:24
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, the finger is the only thing that works.
43:26
SPEAKER_00: Totally works.
43:27
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, scientifically proven.
43:29
SPEAKER_00: Oh boy.
43:29
SPEAKER_01: So, what's your advice for uh non-monogamy?
43:33
SPEAKER_00: Shall we talk about?
43:35
SPEAKER_00: I know about big rocks and non-monogamy.
43:37
SPEAKER_00: What an interesting topic.
43:39
SPEAKER_00: Get whiplash.
43:40
SPEAKER_00: Um, what kind of advice do you want?
43:43
SPEAKER_00: Like for people who are interested in it.
43:45
SPEAKER_01: Should should Liam get a second wife?
43:49
SPEAKER_03: Uh, so I looked into the Mormon thing.
43:51
SPEAKER_03: The underwear was a little bit of a like, yeah, I don't think so.
43:55
SPEAKER_03: I mean, I guess also the polyamory was a thing, but mostly the underwear.
43:58
SPEAKER_03: So I don't I don't think I'm doing that.
44:00
SPEAKER_00: To be fair, I don't think Mormons are necessarily polyamorous, they're like polygamous, which is different.
44:07
SPEAKER_00: So their whole thing is like the women, the women are not allowed to have multiple partners.
44:11
SPEAKER_00: As far as I know, I'm not a Mormon expert.
44:13
SPEAKER_00: I'm not a Mormon alternative.
44:14
SPEAKER_03: No, I think you're right.
44:15
SPEAKER_03: I don't know a lot about Mormonism either, but I think I saw one documentary on the Mormonism.
44:21
SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
44:22
SPEAKER_00: But I think like it's so it's not equal.
44:24
SPEAKER_00: Like they can't, women can't have their own partners.
44:27
SPEAKER_00: It's they just have to be that that.
44:30
SPEAKER_00: And um, I wouldn't recommend that in general, because I don't think that's fair.
44:36
SPEAKER_00: And like the idea of like, well, non-monogamy is technically a wide umbrella, so it tech it it applies to lots of different things.
44:43
SPEAKER_00: Um and in general, like polyamory is a specific thing where you you it the intention is that you have multiple romantic relationships or that you want to have multiple romantic relationships.
44:54
SPEAKER_00: That's not necessarily everything, like non-monogamy could be open relationships, it could be swinging, it could be all sorts of things.
44:59
SPEAKER_00: So it doesn't necessarily entail multiple romantic relationships.
45:03
SPEAKER_00: But I wouldn't, I wouldn't generally advise any situation where people feel culturally forced into a box because I don't think that that's nice.
45:12
SPEAKER_00: I think that that's you know, I want people to be free to choose what they want, including monogamy.
45:18
SPEAKER_00: You don't have to do it.
45:18
SPEAKER_01: Feel free to choose which box they want to get into.
45:20
SPEAKER_03: Yes, yeah, feel free to choose to.
45:22
SPEAKER_03: And that's how I ended up with my wife.
45:24
SPEAKER_03: Come on, that's a pretty good joke.
45:25
SPEAKER_00: Amazing.
45:26
SPEAKER_00: Tell me that's that's a pretty good joke.
45:29
SPEAKER_03: That's all I'm saying.
45:30
SPEAKER_03: That's really good.
45:31
SPEAKER_03: I feel pretty, I feel I feel good about that one.
45:33
SPEAKER_00: That is a pretty good one.
45:34
SPEAKER_00: Do you have a favorite joke, Liam?
45:37
SPEAKER_03: A favorite joke?
45:39
SPEAKER_03: Oh god, no, there's no way.
45:41
SPEAKER_03: There's no way I can choose.
45:43
SPEAKER_03: There's no way I could choose a favorite joke.
45:46
SPEAKER_01: His favorite joke is the one that's coming out of his mouth the moment he's telling it.
45:49
SPEAKER_03: Um, no, usually, well, I mean, we'll see about I don't know about that.
45:54
SPEAKER_03: But we we were talking about um um we're talking about uh my wife and I were talking about like I'm I'm I'm done with the like I we have the one kid, and I'm like, yeah, I'm good.
46:04
SPEAKER_03: Vhasectomy, get that done with, like, get it over with.
46:07
SPEAKER_03: And so there's a lot of guys that are like, oh yeah, there's no way I'm doing that.
46:11
SPEAKER_03: So there was like a couple family guy jokes that like cracked me up about that, and that's what I was just talking about today, where it's just like she's like, uh Peter's like, you gotta get your tubes tied.
46:20
SPEAKER_03: And they're like, well, you should get a vasectomy.
46:22
SPEAKER_03: And he's like, first off, I don't know what that is.
46:24
SPEAKER_03: Second off, no freaking way.
46:26
SPEAKER_03: And I kind of feel like that's how like a lot of guys are with it.
46:29
SPEAKER_03: Or there was like one where like Quagmire was just like, you take the venom out of a snake, you get a what do you get?
46:34
SPEAKER_03: A belt or something like that.
46:36
SPEAKER_03: And that always always cracked me.
46:37
SPEAKER_03: So that's like that's basically the basic reasoning.
46:40
SPEAKER_03: But me, I'm like, no, just tie that shit off.
46:42
SPEAKER_03: I'm done.
46:43
SPEAKER_03: We've had the one kid.
46:44
SPEAKER_03: I'm I'm good with that.
46:45
SPEAKER_03: I'm over.
46:46
SPEAKER_00: There are some guys who won't even like get their dogs fixed because I've never heard that before.
46:52
SPEAKER_03: That's interesting.
46:53
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, look at the Rob's face.
46:56
SPEAKER_03: I've never heard that one before.
46:57
SPEAKER_03: That's I totally believe it, but I've never heard that one before.
47:00
SPEAKER_00: I used to I watch my favorite genre of content is like you're wrong because of this, which would explain like how I got into your like any content that's like this is why this is wrong, I love.
47:11
SPEAKER_00: So like there are all those shows that are like I watched a lot of like animal behavior shows of like, hey, you're not doing this right with your dog, or like you should be doing this with your dog, or you, you know, and many of them like they were like they would not have their dog fixed, and and the the behaviorists would be like, you should really get your dog fixed because it's better for their health, and like you also like having more puppies is a bad thing.
47:32
SPEAKER_00: There's so many guys on those shows who'd be like, Oh, what it says about my manhood.
47:37
SPEAKER_00: It's like it's a okay, all right, interesting.
47:41
SPEAKER_03: That is very interesting.
47:42
SPEAKER_03: Line of thought.
47:43
SPEAKER_03: I've never heard this before, and I'm I'm so yeah.
47:46
SPEAKER_01: Is it is one of the uh first famous people that followed me?
47:51
SPEAKER_00: Ooh, who?
47:51
SPEAKER_00: A dog, Cesar Milan?
47:53
SPEAKER_01: Caesar Milan.
47:55
SPEAKER_00: Ah oh that's cool.
47:57
SPEAKER_00: So did you like to send him a message?
47:59
SPEAKER_00: I would be like so tempted if a fame, like if a famous person followed me to be like, hey, what's a maybe they don't like maybe they don't because some of them have their ideas.
48:08
SPEAKER_00: Hey, you're super cool.
48:10
SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
48:10
SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
48:11
SPEAKER_00: Be like Paul Rudd, like the Paul Rudd meme, my favorite thing.
48:14
SPEAKER_00: Like Paul Rudd and Mark Ruffalo.
48:16
SPEAKER_00: When like Mark Ruffalo is behind Paul Rudd.
48:18
SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, have you never seen that?
48:20
SPEAKER_03: I don't know.
48:21
SPEAKER_00: I feel like that's like so Paul Rudd is doing an interview, and like and like Mark Ruffalo is behind him, and he's like, Is that Paul Rudd?
48:28
SPEAKER_00: Is that Paul Rudd?
48:29
SPEAKER_00: Like behind him, and he's like, Oh, I feel like you would like I feel like you're a very meme you're you're a meme connoisseur.
48:36
SPEAKER_03: I like the meme.
48:37
SPEAKER_03: I enjoy the memes, but I don't know.
48:38
SPEAKER_00: Do you know what meme I think reminds me of you every single time?
48:41
SPEAKER_03: I like corn.
48:43
SPEAKER_00: No, no, no, no, no.
48:44
SPEAKER_03: Oh, uh, is this real life?
48:47
SPEAKER_00: No.
48:47
SPEAKER_03: Uh ain't got time for that.
48:49
SPEAKER_00: No.
48:50
SPEAKER_03: I'm just like gonna run through every single meme there is.
48:53
SPEAKER_00: The one that's like road work ahead.
48:55
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I sure hope it does.
48:57
SPEAKER_00: Do you not know that meme?
48:58
SPEAKER_00: I don't know this one either.
48:59
SPEAKER_03: What are you talking about?
49:00
SPEAKER_03: Where are these memes that you're coming with?
49:02
SPEAKER_00: This was like, I don't know the meme, but I like the joke.
49:05
SPEAKER_03: I like the joke.
49:06
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I don't know.
49:07
SPEAKER_03: I will have to send it to you.
49:09
SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
49:10
SPEAKER_00: That one reminds it it it has exactly your tone of voice.
49:13
SPEAKER_00: I would have, if you would have said, like, oh, that was me back in the day, I would, I would believe it.
49:19
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, looking up road work ahead.
49:21
SPEAKER_03: That's fair.
49:22
SPEAKER_03: I shouldn't.
49:23
SPEAKER_00: I believed you when you said you were related to Dylan.
49:26
SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, people.
49:27
SPEAKER_00: I did believe it.
49:28
SPEAKER_03: A lot of people did, a lot of people still do.
49:30
SPEAKER_03: And I I'm I'm very happy about that.
49:32
SPEAKER_03: I like lying, is what I'm finding out.
49:34
SPEAKER_03: Now, I don't want to lie about anything that's like could cause harm, but like about fun, silly things.
49:39
SPEAKER_03: Uh, you know, I I'd love to lie.
49:41
SPEAKER_03: It's great.
49:42
SPEAKER_03: I like to get people to believe things that aren't true and things that don't actually matter, that aren't gonna harm them in any way.
49:48
SPEAKER_03: You know what I'm saying?
49:49
SPEAKER_00: So have you tried to like edit your own Wikipedia page?
49:51
SPEAKER_03: Oh, Wikipedia page.
49:52
SPEAKER_03: I don't think like do I have a Wikipedia page?
49:54
SPEAKER_03: I've never I don't think I have a page.
49:56
SPEAKER_01: I don't think you're probably big enough to have a Wikipedia page.
49:58
SPEAKER_03: I don't think I do.
49:59
SPEAKER_00: I don't think you could put all sorts of stuff on there.
50:02
SPEAKER_03: I kind of like that idea.
50:04
SPEAKER_03: Oh, I'm liking this idea though, about just totally lying.
50:10
SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah.
50:10
SPEAKER_03: Oh, that's a good one too.
50:12
SPEAKER_03: I don't think, I mean, mine Who would verify?
50:13
SPEAKER_00: Who would know?
50:14
SPEAKER_01: Oh, I'm sorry, there's a Liam Lawton, but not a Liam Layton on Wikipedia.
50:19
SPEAKER_03: I don't think so.
50:20
SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I'll create my own and just lie out my teeth.
50:22
SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
50:22
SPEAKER_00: There you go.
50:23
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, there you go.
50:24
SPEAKER_00: Source is you wish you knew.
50:26
SPEAKER_01: So where can people find you when they want to know how to throw stuff or um do ethical non-monogamy or find other memes about Liam?
50:41
SPEAKER_00: Well, I think if you my favorite page um in terms of like if you want to learn more about lifting and learn more about you know, and any like strength training in general, there's a great page called Stronger by Science that I think is really awesome.
50:54
SPEAKER_00: Like they post all sorts of studies, they're very focused on like the things.
50:59
SPEAKER_00: I love stronger by science.
51:00
SPEAKER_00: Absolutely bomb.
51:02
SPEAKER_00: Um, like bomb is in good things.
51:04
SPEAKER_00: I guess that means something bad.
51:05
SPEAKER_00: I'm I feel like I'm getting old.
51:07
SPEAKER_01: Anyway, um when we post this to YouTube, it's getting taken down.
51:10
SPEAKER_00: Oh no, demonetized.
51:12
SPEAKER_00: I think when you talked about ethical nominogamy, you might have run to the chance of demonetizing anyway.
51:16
SPEAKER_00: We talked about Mormons in their underwear, so it's already demonetized.
51:20
SPEAKER_00: But um, and then I think um for strongman stuff, I really would encourage people to like find like you could start with like the Arnold classic and like the Arnold events if you like just want a general overview.
51:31
SPEAKER_00: Um and Half Thor Bjornsson's always like super fun to check out what he does because he he'll do some fun stuff now and then.
51:37
SPEAKER_00: Um, but don't like you don't need to take all the supplements he does because you're not a pro-strongman that's made a career out of it.
51:43
SPEAKER_00: So please don't think you need to take like all the supplements.
51:46
SPEAKER_00: Um and then yeah, like ethical non-monogamy stuff.
51:48
SPEAKER_00: I have a non-monogamy, uh, a an advice column in podcast called Non-Monogamy Help, that uh where I wildly answer questions where people like send me advice questions and I answer them.
51:59
SPEAKER_00: Um, and then, you know, it's it I my responses are chaotic and and sometimes fun.
52:04
SPEAKER_00: But I hope I always end my columns and podcast with, I hope this helps in good luck, which sounds a lot more on ominous now that I'm saying it than I than I think it's supposed to sound encouraging, and I think I say it in an encouraging way, but you know, it kind of sounds a little bit you know, good luck, you know.
52:20
SPEAKER_01: Hope this helps.
52:21
SPEAKER_01: Good luck, you're gonna need it.
52:23
SPEAKER_00: Good luck, I can't help you now.
52:25
SPEAKER_00: Because I can't like I I don't think I'd make a good therapist, like because I think I'd get frustrated.
52:29
SPEAKER_00: Like, I give people advice, they take it, they do whatever, or maybe nothing with it.
52:33
SPEAKER_00: But then if I had to see them again and again, I'd make a terrible one.
52:36
SPEAKER_00: I I don't think, yeah.
52:39
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I couldn't do that.
52:41
SPEAKER_00: I used to do like I used to do like terror readings.
52:43
SPEAKER_01: Three sessions in, and you'd be like, What the fuck is wrong with you?
52:47
SPEAKER_00: Listen to me.
52:48
SPEAKER_00: Um, I used to do tarot readings on Twitch, and I used to get annoyed with people when they'd come the same people would come back and ask me the same question, and I'd be like, Didn't I just tell you last time?
52:58
SPEAKER_00: Like, just stop asking me.
53:01
SPEAKER_00: And I had to be also like, because I used to have to say, like, listen, it don't ask me how your crush feels about you.
53:07
SPEAKER_00: Just shoot your shot, man.
53:08
SPEAKER_00: Like, don't why are you asking me?
53:10
SPEAKER_00: It was just, it was, it was weird.
53:12
SPEAKER_00: So yeah, I think it's better when I just give advice one off, that's it, and then I'm done.
53:17
SPEAKER_00: I don't, I, you know, I don't think I would be great at being a therapist, but that's fine.
53:21
SPEAKER_00: We all have our strengths and and weaknesses.
53:23
SPEAKER_01: The advice being check out strong men, support women in sports, and if you have a crush, go shoot your shot.
53:30
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, shoot your shot.
53:31
SPEAKER_00: You already don't have a person.
53:33
SPEAKER_01: The gym's not the place for shooting your shot.
53:34
SPEAKER_00: And don't with a gun.
53:35
SPEAKER_00: We already talked about guns as well.
53:39
SPEAKER_00: Don't shoot.
53:41
SPEAKER_00: If you're in America, please.
53:43
SPEAKER_00: I'm not trying to say that.
53:44
SPEAKER_03: If you're in America, everywhere else is fine.
53:46
SPEAKER_00: I've just made the you've I think this might be the record for the most demonetized episode, maybe.
53:51
SPEAKER_01: I think it might be.
53:52
SPEAKER_01: Uh for us again.
53:53
SPEAKER_01: And if you want top three for us, support Lola in uh her meets, their meets, her, her meat, their meets, you're you can so close counts and horseshoe, hand grenades, and my gender.
54:04
SPEAKER_00: So you can say they are okay.
54:07
SPEAKER_01: Um if you want to support Lola in their uh meets and stuff, you post them to uh the Discord.
54:16
SPEAKER_00: I do.
54:16
SPEAKER_00: I do.
54:17
SPEAKER_00: I used to post my workouts every day, but then I felt kind of bad because then I felt like people were like, Oh, I wish I worked out as much as you.
54:23
SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, I don't have children, and I also like uh like please don't take me as like you, you know, you have all sorts of I don't want to make them feel bad.
54:32
SPEAKER_00: But yeah, whenever we do, whenever I do have competitions, I will post about them in in the Discord.
54:36
SPEAKER_00: So yes, you can definitely please join the Discord with Sean.
