- 0:01Speaker 1: All right. Hello and welcome back to The Carl Jackson Show.
- 0:03Speaker 1: Your daily dose of objective truth in a world of confusion.
- 0:05Speaker 1: We're going to be talking about that. I'm going to
- 0:06Speaker 1: break it down. Because their policies are very, very important.
- 0:11Speaker 1: We've got to bring restore sanity in America. And I
- 0:15Speaker 1: think it's going to start happening. Welcome to The Carl
- 0:20Speaker 1: Jackson Show. This is your daily dose of objective truth.
- 0:23Speaker 1: This is your daily dose of freedom. Guys, I'm honored
- 0:26Speaker 1: to have with me, you guys know him. He's been
- 0:30Speaker 1: with us before, Josh Hammer. He's also the author of
- 0:34Speaker 1: Israel and Civilization. I want to get into 10-7 with him. Honestly, Josh,
- 0:42Speaker 1: I got to say this. This is kind of weird,
- 0:44Speaker 1: but I'm actually a fan of yours as well, as
- 0:47Speaker 1: much as we've had you on the podcast. You're obviously
- 0:51Speaker 1: a you're obviously a brilliant guy. You know what you speak.
- 0:56Speaker 1: And honestly, I'm looking forward to this conversation when it
- 0:59Speaker 1: comes to 10-7, because I'm still I'm still I'm not
- 1:05Speaker 1: even Jewish, obviously. And but I am in disbelief of
- 1:11Speaker 1: where we are, not just in America, around the globe,
- 1:17Speaker 1: the anti-Semitism that exists. After you had Jews that were attacked,
- 1:24Speaker 1: their countryland invaded, essentially murdered, raped, babies baked inside of
- 1:33Speaker 1: ovens and microwaves. Women and men, by the way, raped.
- 1:38Speaker 1: And I'm sorry to be so gory, but I think
- 1:41Speaker 1: people need to understand what happened on 10-7, over 1,200 people.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Israelis that were murdered, the equivalent of 40,000 Americans murdered
- 1:53Speaker 1: in the United States of America were that to happen.
- 1:57Speaker 1: And yet it still seems and increasingly so, Josh, that
- 2:02Speaker 1: for some reason Jews are the villain and Hamas are
- 2:06Speaker 1: the victims. Your response?
- 2:09Speaker 2: Yeah, Carl, great to join you as always. It's hard
- 2:12Speaker 2: to know where to start, frankly. Listen, there are some
- 2:15Speaker 2: blood libels about the Jewish people that simply will not
- 2:18Speaker 2: go away. Essentially, there is a new There is a
- 2:21Speaker 2: new anti-Jewish blood libel in any given era. Now, way
- 2:26Speaker 2: back in the day, way back when the Torah, the
- 2:29Speaker 2: Hebrew Bible, was first given to Moses and the Israelites
- 2:31Speaker 2: in Mount Sinai, the libel then was that the Jews
- 2:35Speaker 2: are blasphemers because they are bringing monotheism to the world.
- 2:38Speaker 2: They are the first people to reject idolatry, reject moral relativism,
- 2:42Speaker 2: and so forth. You can fast forward thousands of years
- 2:45Speaker 2: to the actual blood libel, the blood libel itself, the
- 2:47Speaker 2: horrific lie told in medieval Europe. that Jews kill Christian
- 2:52Speaker 2: boys and bake their Passover matzah in blood, which is
- 2:57Speaker 2: so farcical that it's hard to believe how anyone could
- 2:59Speaker 2: possibly believe this. Nonetheless, it led to all sorts of
- 3:01Speaker 2: pogroms and massacres. Then you can fast forward to the
- 3:04Speaker 2: lies in the pre-World War II era, the lies that
- 3:08Speaker 2: came from the communists, that the Jews were just ruthless
- 3:11Speaker 2: capitalists and financiers, and then the The capitalists said, oh, no,
- 3:16Speaker 2: the Jews are a bunch of Bolsheviks and communists. So
- 3:19Speaker 2: all these lies have been told for decades and centuries. Indeed,
- 3:21Speaker 2: they've been told for thousands of years. The lie of
- 3:24Speaker 2: the day, all of that, the equivalent in the modern day,
- 3:28Speaker 2: is that the Jewish people are bloodthirsty and that the
- 3:32Speaker 2: Jewish state has been committing a quote-unquote genocide in Gaza
- 3:35Speaker 2: since October 7th. The particularly galling part about all of this,
- 3:40Speaker 2: let's hold aside for a second the actual definition of
- 3:42Speaker 2: genocide under the Geneva Conventions, which we can get into
- 3:45Speaker 2: if you want to. Hold that aside. I'll make a
- 3:48Speaker 2: very simple point. The actual definition of genocide, for numerous reasons,
- 3:52Speaker 2: fails blatantly on its face. Among other things, you have
- 3:56Speaker 2: to show direct intent to wipe out an entire population
- 4:00Speaker 2: based on ethnic, religious, national, etc.
- 4:02Speaker 1: Characteristic.
- 4:03Speaker 2: And as various people like John Spencer said, the chief
- 4:06Speaker 2: urban warfare experts in America today have shown, Israel has
- 4:09Speaker 2: actually achieved a historically low civilian-to-combatant death ratio, in fact,
- 4:14Speaker 2: an all-time low in the history of urban warfare.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Hold that aside.
- 4:17Speaker 2: People like Zor Mamdani, people like Abdul Sayyed, were accusing
- 4:20Speaker 2: Israel of quote-unquote genocide in Gaza literally before the IDF
- 4:24Speaker 2: tanks started rolling in, about three weeks after the October
- 4:28Speaker 2: 7th pogrom. So this obviously, obviously, transparently is not about
- 4:32Speaker 2: the facts. It's not about what is actually happening on
- 4:35Speaker 2: the ground. It's just an ideological motivation to make the
- 4:39Speaker 2: Jewish people ultimately be ostracized, to be castigated, and God forbid,
- 4:47Speaker 2: possibly even worse than that. I mean, what is the
- 4:49Speaker 2: actual meaning of so-called globalize the Intifada? Well, so-called globalize Intifada,
- 4:55Speaker 2: the slogan that Zohra Mdani repeatedly refused to condemn on
- 4:57Speaker 2: the campaign trail in New York City, what does that
- 4:59Speaker 2: look like in practice? Well, that looks like the assassination
- 5:02Speaker 2: of two young, beautiful Israeli embassy staffers in downtown Washington, D.C.,
- 5:06Speaker 2: That looks like the death of a Holocaust survivor, a murderer,
- 5:09Speaker 2: I should say, by an Egyptian national in Boulder, Colorado,
- 5:14Speaker 2: at a pro-Israel demonstration shortly after the D.C.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Massacre.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Now, what's actually happening here, Carl, as I think you
- 5:20Speaker 2: and I had discussed in the past, is what's happening here.
- 5:23Speaker 2: And the reason the Jewish people find themselves the eternal
- 5:27Speaker 2: brunt of all of these lies from one generation to
- 5:29Speaker 2: the next, what's happening here? is that the demons, the
- 5:33Speaker 2: enemies of civilization, a.k.a. team barbarism and our great moral
- 5:37Speaker 2: divide between civilization and barbarism, the proponents, the defenders of barbarism,
- 5:43Speaker 2: which today means essentially the red-green Marx-Islamist alliance, they see
- 5:49Speaker 2: the Jewish people simply as the tip of the spear
- 5:52Speaker 2: into contemporary Western civilization. They see the Jewish people as
- 5:55Speaker 2: the original recipients and the torchbearers of objective morality and
- 5:59Speaker 2: And as is often said, you start with the Saturday people,
- 6:01Speaker 2: then you go to the Sunday people. It's really no–
- 6:04Speaker 2: it's no coincidence, Carl, that Karl Marx, before he wrote
- 6:08Speaker 2: the Communist Manifesto, Karl Marx wrote a viciously anti-Semitic treatise
- 6:13Speaker 2: known as On the Jewish Question, where he essentially blamed
- 6:16Speaker 2: the Jews for a lot of the rots of Europe
- 6:18Speaker 2: of his day. That actually makes sense in a diabolical way. Again,
- 6:21Speaker 2: you start with the Jews. then you move on to
- 6:24Speaker 2: greater capitalism, greater Christendom, Christian civilization, and so forth. So
- 6:28Speaker 2: that's what is actually happening here. And I'm pretty jaded
- 6:32Speaker 2: at this point, but sometimes even I am still surprised.
- 6:35Speaker 2: And I guess probably I was a little surprised by
- 6:38Speaker 2: just the dripping hatred in Zor Mamdani's post on October 7th,
- 6:42Speaker 2: just to give you one example.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, okay. So honestly, it's funny that you
- 6:48Speaker 1: mentioned Mamdani. You mentioned how I don't understand. Frankly, I
- 6:53Speaker 1: don't understand, except the fact that the Jewish people have
- 6:56Speaker 1: been persecuted so long that you guys can just be logical,
- 7:00Speaker 1: rational about this, this stuff, this this this anti-Semitism that exists,
- 7:04Speaker 1: the the the Jewish tropes that exist, the blood libel.
- 7:08Speaker 1: I mean, it's just absolutely it's absolutely insane to me.
- 7:11Speaker 1: I don't think any other nation and or people. put
- 7:14Speaker 1: up with this type of nonsense, nor should they. And
- 7:16Speaker 1: I don't feel like Jews should have to do the same. Frankly,
- 7:20Speaker 1: I'm glad, and I don't know how to frame this,
- 7:25Speaker 1: but I feel like, in a sense, I'm kind of
- 7:28Speaker 1: glad that I'm on the outside because I want to
- 7:30Speaker 1: be PO'd for the Jewish people because I understand what's
- 7:35Speaker 1: at stake for whatever reason. I think God has given
- 7:38Speaker 1: me the ability to be able to see things in
- 7:40Speaker 1: a macro level. So before I even started listening to
- 7:43Speaker 1: people like yourself, instinctively, I think as a Christian, as
- 7:50Speaker 1: part of my faith, and as a part of greater
- 7:52Speaker 1: Western civilization, I just understood that, okay, the people that created,
- 7:57Speaker 1: or that gave us, if you will, the Ten Commandments,
- 8:01Speaker 1: of course, of course, people would want to go after them.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Anti-Jews would want to go after them if you're a
- 8:07Speaker 1: person that lives in the West, because if If you
- 8:10Speaker 1: underline Judeo, our Judeo-Christian principles, our values here in the
- 8:14Speaker 1: United States of America, what else are we left to
- 8:17Speaker 1: in the world but communism, barbarism? And I don't understand
- 8:21Speaker 1: for the life of me why people do not get this.
- 8:25Speaker 1: I was having a... I don't even know if you
- 8:28Speaker 1: could call it a conversation, but a conversation with someone
- 8:32Speaker 1: the other day that believed that the IDF and Benjamin
- 8:39Speaker 1: Netanyahu and Jews in general in Israel were responsible for
- 8:45Speaker 1: the indiscriminate murder of children on the battlefield when it
- 8:49Speaker 1: came to Gaza. I... For the life of me, I'm like,
- 8:54Speaker 1: what the heck is going on here? Is this TikTok?
- 8:57Speaker 1: Is this social media? I understand there is a long
- 9:00Speaker 1: history of anti-Semitism. I understand all this. But still, it
- 9:05Speaker 1: shocks me how dumb people are when it comes to
- 9:09Speaker 1: this issue.
- 9:11Speaker 2: So a lot of this is not coming from a
- 9:13Speaker 2: factual or logical perspective. That is one of the great
- 9:16Speaker 2: issues of our time, Carl, is that people like me
- 9:20Speaker 2: who are trained to think according to logic and rationality
- 9:23Speaker 2: and facts and reason, a lot of our arguments don't
- 9:26Speaker 2: ultimately carry the day in some of these circles because
- 9:29Speaker 2: these people are simply not operating on the level. They're
- 9:31Speaker 2: operating on a deeply emotional level, and their ideology is
- 9:35Speaker 2: informed not by the facts but by some sort of
- 9:37Speaker 2: ulterior or exogenous reason. So I think back– About a
- 9:41Speaker 2: decade ago to my old friend Ben Shapiro and, you know,
- 9:44Speaker 2: Ben's tagline a decade ago was that facts don't care
- 9:46Speaker 2: about your feelings. And that might have been true then.
- 9:48Speaker 2: In fact, it probably was true. And I wish that
- 9:51Speaker 2: were the case today. I very much wish that were
- 9:52Speaker 2: the case. But I just don't think it necessarily is.
- 9:55Speaker 2: And I'll give you just a quick and dirty example. Again,
- 9:58Speaker 2: on the genocide question, you know, last year I debated
- 10:00Speaker 2: this absolute moron, Dave Smith, the so-called comedian. I debated
- 10:04Speaker 2: him twice, first at Princeton University and then at Charlie
- 10:07Speaker 2: Kirk's Turning Point Debate in Tampa, Florida. The first time
- 10:10Speaker 2: at Princeton, we were having the genocide conversation. And I
- 10:14Speaker 2: was doing my thing. I was talking about the Geneva Conventions,
- 10:17Speaker 2: talking about civilian to combatant death ratio and then dave
- 10:21Speaker 2: smith literally responds says but look at the rubble and
- 10:24Speaker 2: the crowd like applauds it's like what i mean like
- 10:27Speaker 2: what is going on here so i mean this this
- 10:29Speaker 2: is part of the problem is we're simply not operating
- 10:31Speaker 2: on a level where facts reason matter a lot of
- 10:33Speaker 2: this is just emotional manipulation some of it is organic
- 10:36Speaker 2: some it's domestic a lot of it definitely is foreign
- 10:38Speaker 2: whether it's the Chinese Communist Party, whether it's Russia. I
- 10:41Speaker 2: personally think Russia is actually behind a lot of this,
- 10:43Speaker 2: whether it's Iran, Qatar. There's a lot of sordid actors
- 10:46Speaker 2: out there, but certainly some of it is organic as well.
- 10:49Speaker 1: And that's probably the most troubling of all. OK, I'm
- 10:52Speaker 1: speaking with my guest, Josh Hammer. Make sure you go
- 10:54Speaker 1: out and get his book, Israel and Civilization, The Fate
- 10:57Speaker 1: of the Jewish Nation and the Destiny of the West. Frankly,
- 11:02Speaker 1: it's a good read. And there were stuff stuff that
- 11:05Speaker 1: I learned that, frankly, I was absolutely clueless about. So anyway,
- 11:09Speaker 1: Josh Hammer, he'll be back with us here or continuing
- 11:12Speaker 1: with us. So you are listening to The Carl Jackson Show. OK, Josh,
- 11:19Speaker 1: let me let me ask you this. I mean, just
- 11:21Speaker 1: so just last night I was watching some video. of
- 11:26Speaker 1: 10-7 with my wife. It's weird. My wife can watch
- 11:30Speaker 1: the goriest stuff. I can't do it. I'm a wimp
- 11:33Speaker 1: when it comes to it. So I would peek in
- 11:35Speaker 1: the room. I would peek in the room. I'm either
- 11:39Speaker 1: a wimp or I get so mad. Literally, I just
- 11:42Speaker 1: wanted to jump on the screen with my firearms and
- 11:45Speaker 1: start shooting all of these Hamas people. Can you tell
- 11:49Speaker 1: me what on 10-7 three years ago, What you remember
- 11:54Speaker 1: of that day, where were you at? What were you doing?
- 11:57Speaker 1: How were you processing that?
- 12:00Speaker 2: So first of all, Carl, to your point about October 7th,
- 12:04Speaker 2: let me just first say something. This is sort of
- 12:07Speaker 2: a shameless plug. I'm not getting paid, obviously. I'm a
- 12:09Speaker 2: fan of the show. There's a show called Fauda. It's
- 12:13Speaker 2: a Netflix show, a very popular show, Israeli show. People
- 12:16Speaker 2: who remember Jack Bauer, 24, Fauda is basically Israel's 24.
- 12:19Speaker 2: And there's a brand new season that just came out
- 12:22Speaker 2: like a month ago. I think it's season five, if
- 12:24Speaker 2: I'm not mistaken. And this is the October 7th season.
- 12:27Speaker 2: There are two episodes in particular. that do a really,
- 12:31Speaker 2: really good job of showing you what happened October 7th
- 12:35Speaker 2: from these other perspectives. So I think folks really want
- 12:37Speaker 2: to understand that they could do a lot worse than
- 12:39Speaker 2: watching episodes seven and eight of the current season of Fowder.
- 12:42Speaker 2: Having said that, in my own personal experience, so first
- 12:44Speaker 2: of all, Carl, on a personal level, I'm American. I
- 12:47Speaker 2: carry one passport. I've been American my whole life. I
- 12:50Speaker 2: have only lived in America my whole life. My wife
- 12:53Speaker 2: was born in Israel. She was raised mostly in America,
- 12:55Speaker 2: but most of her family is still over in Israel.
- 12:57Speaker 2: So that colors my personal experience on Tober Sound a
- 13:00Speaker 2: little bit in particular. Sure. Her oldest brother, my brother-in-law,
- 13:04Speaker 2: lives in a town called Netivot, which is pretty close
- 13:06Speaker 2: to Gaza. And in fact, if you look on a
- 13:08Speaker 2: map of the towns that were massacred on October 7th,
- 13:12Speaker 2: my brother-in-law's town, Netivot, was left unscathed.
- 13:16Speaker 1: But it's a little curious.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Hamas essentially jumped over from the kibbutzim on the border
- 13:20Speaker 2: to Ofakim a little more interior. They essentially left his
- 13:22Speaker 2: city unscathed. The locals have fears as to why that is,
- 13:25Speaker 2: neither here nor there. So that was one of our
- 13:27Speaker 2: first big questions on that day was, oh, my God, like,
- 13:30Speaker 2: Is he OK? I mean, he's got a young family.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Is this is this going to be OK? But, you know,
- 13:35Speaker 2: this happened. I think it's I think it's worth emphasizing
- 13:37Speaker 2: that this happened on a Jewish holiday. It happened both
- 13:40Speaker 2: on Shabbat, on the Jewish Sabbath and also on a
- 13:42Speaker 2: Jewish holiday known as Simchat Torah, which basically just means
- 13:45Speaker 2: rejoicing with the Torah. The Simchat Torah is in Hebrew.
- 13:48Speaker 2: overtly celebratory, joyous occasion is when we complete and start
- 13:54Speaker 2: anew our annual cycle of the reading of the Torah,
- 13:57Speaker 2: the five books of Moses. It's really one of the
- 13:59Speaker 2: happiest Jewish holidays of the year. And, you know, in
- 14:02Speaker 2: my book, Carl, I repeatedly refer to October 7th as
- 14:06Speaker 2: the Simchat Torah massacre. And I do that deliberately. That's
- 14:10Speaker 2: intentional diction. That's intentional word choice on my behalf, because
- 14:13Speaker 2: I think it underscores a fundamental divide here between team
- 14:18Speaker 2: civilization and team barbarism. Team civilization loves life. We've got
- 14:22Speaker 2: Genesis 127. We know the man is made in God's image.
- 14:25Speaker 2: You know, Jewish people have said for thousands of years,
- 14:27Speaker 2: I'm Israel. Hi, the people of Israel live. We love life.
- 14:31Speaker 2: Team barbarism. What do they love? They don't love life.
- 14:34Speaker 2: They love death. They love savagery. They love carnage. They
- 14:38Speaker 2: love martyrdom. So that that contrast there, I think, I
- 14:42Speaker 2: think really says a lot. And I remember finding it
- 14:45Speaker 2: very difficult, frankly, to try to celebrate on the actual
- 14:48Speaker 2: holiday because.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Obviously, my emotions are horrific.
- 14:52Speaker 2: And it was this really emotionally fraught thing. But, you know,
- 14:56Speaker 2: as the Jewish sages once said, our avodah, which means
- 15:01Speaker 2: our service, our service of the Lord, is not always easy.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Sometimes it's something you have to struggle to do. So
- 15:06Speaker 2: I was trying really hard to be happy because I'm
- 15:10Speaker 2: essentially command to be happy. But it was really quite
- 15:12Speaker 2: hard on that particular day, I remember.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Man, yeah, honestly, I mean, that's impressive. That would be
- 15:18Speaker 1: extremely difficult. I want to tie some things together. Western civilization,
- 15:24Speaker 1: how obviously there's a goal to undermine it. You start
- 15:26Speaker 1: with the Jews. Jews are the canary in the coal mine.
- 15:29Speaker 1: You also wrote in your book something that I think
- 15:31Speaker 1: is so crucial. I hear this point often made, conservatives.
- 15:36Speaker 1: And sadly, you see some people allegedly on the right
- 15:39Speaker 1: that are– vehemently anti-Semite. I mean, it's so obviously clear.
- 15:43Speaker 1: It's insane. It's one of the reasons this is for
- 15:45Speaker 1: another day. I don't want J.D. Vance as vice president.
- 15:49Speaker 1: I'm making that, I'm not saying that he is. So
- 15:52Speaker 1: I'm going to make that emphatically clear to the listening audience.
- 15:55Speaker 1: I just want to, whatever, some of the people that
- 15:57Speaker 1: seem to be associated with him drive me nuts. All right.
- 16:01Speaker 1: But I support Israel's right to, I support Israel's right
- 16:04Speaker 1: to exist. I support Israel's right to defend itself Speak
- 16:10Speaker 1: to those comments in light of Western civilization as a whole.
- 16:16Speaker 2: Listen, so if you are a nation state, you have
- 16:19Speaker 2: a right to defend yourself. You know, Carl, this is
- 16:21Speaker 2: actually one of my bugaboos. And this is in the book,
- 16:23Speaker 2: Israel and Civilization. I essentially criticize all those politicians, frankly,
- 16:27Speaker 2: including some of the right to say I support Israel's
- 16:30Speaker 2: right to defend themselves. You know, as if that's some
- 16:32Speaker 2: grand statement. What? I mean, what in the world does
- 16:35Speaker 2: that mean? Like, literally, what does that mean? I mean,
- 16:38Speaker 2: would any politician say, I support Paraguay's right to defend itself?
- 16:42Speaker 2: I support Indonesia's right?
- 16:44Speaker 1: No.
- 16:45Speaker 2: I mean, obviously no. So this is, it's essentially an
- 16:48Speaker 2: exercise in condescension. It's a belittling exercise saying that, oh, sure,
- 16:53Speaker 2: you know, I don't like these dirty Jews, but they've
- 16:56Speaker 2: got a right to defend themselves. It's ridiculous. It's absolutely ridiculous.
- 16:59Speaker 2: If you are a sovereign nation state, then you have
- 17:02Speaker 2: a right to defend yourself. You definitely have a right
- 17:04Speaker 2: to defend yourself against barbaric savages, the likes of which
- 17:10Speaker 2: most of the world has never seen up front and personal.
- 17:12Speaker 2: I mean, to kind of go back to where you
- 17:14Speaker 2: start a conversation, use the American analogy of 9-11. Let's
- 17:18Speaker 2: say that, God forbid, You know, Jalisco, Sinaloa, some of
- 17:22Speaker 2: the most lethal transnational cartels operating in northern Mexico, that
- 17:26Speaker 2: they were able to breach the Rio Grande Valley, breach
- 17:28Speaker 2: the Sonoran Desert in Arizona across large swaths of border.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Let's say they massacre, God forbid, 45 to 50,000 people.
- 17:35Speaker 2: That's the rough equivalent. What would America do? I mean,
- 17:39Speaker 2: what would Donald Trump do to Mexico? I mean, can
- 17:43Speaker 2: you imagine what that would look like? I mean, this
- 17:46Speaker 2: is obviously a justified response. In fact, I'll go even further.
- 17:50Speaker 2: I think, if anything, Israel has actually been overly restrained.
- 17:54Speaker 2: You know, there's been this whole debate– Since October 7th,
- 17:57Speaker 2: about whether or not there are sufficient, you know, water
- 18:00Speaker 2: and supplies getting getting into Gaza. And to be clear,
- 18:03Speaker 2: they have been going above and beyond to do that.
- 18:05Speaker 2: I kind of object to the whole premise, to be
- 18:08Speaker 2: honest with you. I mean, think back to World War
- 18:10Speaker 2: Two was was Dwight D.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Eisenhower.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Were we overly concerned? with making sure that the German
- 18:16Speaker 2: population that had just elected Hitler and the Nazis, that
- 18:19Speaker 2: they were getting all the humanity. No, we were carpet
- 18:21Speaker 2: bombing Dresden, for God's sake. So I kind of reject
- 18:24Speaker 2: the analogy straight up. I think that in many ways,
- 18:27Speaker 2: the West has just fundamentally forgotten what warfare requires and
- 18:32Speaker 2: what warfare actually looks like. And in the long run,
- 18:34Speaker 2: I think Israel will have done a great service to
- 18:36Speaker 2: remind the West what warfare actually must mean, tragically sometimes.
- 18:40Speaker 1: And I totally agree with you in that sentiment. I agree.
- 18:45Speaker 1: I frankly think Israel plays it too nice. And I understand.
- 18:48Speaker 1: I mean, they're often... They they're fighting a kinetic war.
- 18:51Speaker 1: They're fighting a media war. I get that. But I'm like,
- 18:55Speaker 1: it seems to me with anti-Semitism on the rise, Jews
- 18:58Speaker 1: are going to be hated anyway. So make yourself safe.
- 19:02Speaker 1: It's the craziest. It's the craziest thing to me. All right.
- 19:05Speaker 1: So real quickly here, I want to speak about a
- 19:07Speaker 1: couple of things in the short time we have remaining. Iran,
- 19:10Speaker 1: I'm going to throw you a few things and let
- 19:12Speaker 1: you respond to all of them. Iran, I believe we
- 19:14Speaker 1: need to finish the job. I believe in the MOU
- 19:17Speaker 1: was a complete and utter disaster. and should have never
- 19:20Speaker 1: been implemented in the first place. You have the Red-Green Alliance.
- 19:24Speaker 1: You spoke about that briefly here. I want you to
- 19:27Speaker 1: talk about that as it relates to France, because we're
- 19:30Speaker 1: seeing the Red-Green Alliance in France with these riots. And
- 19:33Speaker 1: then you have what is this Mall of America, this
- 19:37Speaker 1: thwarted attack by an Islamist. His parents came, I believe
- 19:42Speaker 1: he was born in America, the 18-year-old, but his parents
- 19:44Speaker 1: were born in Somalia. And we're inviting what we're seeing
- 19:49Speaker 1: in France. right here to our shores in the United
- 19:52Speaker 1: States of America. And one of the things that concerns
- 19:55Speaker 1: me regarding all of these issues is it seems to
- 20:00Speaker 1: me that whenever we have to fight against Islamists, whenever
- 20:05Speaker 1: Israel has to fight against Islamists, just how quickly The victims,
- 20:11Speaker 1: the real victims are vilified. It's projection. So that worries
- 20:15Speaker 1: me when it comes to our fight here in the
- 20:17Speaker 1: United States of America. That's a lot.
- 20:19Speaker 2: But yeah, so let me try to just take this
- 20:22Speaker 2: quickly one at a time. So on Iran, I don't
- 20:25Speaker 2: think that there will be a return to kinetic action,
- 20:27Speaker 2: at least on America's front. I just I just don't
- 20:29Speaker 2: think it's happening, whether it's a good idea or not.
- 20:31Speaker 2: I think the best thing that we can realistically hope
- 20:33Speaker 2: for is a continuation of the intense financial pressure that
- 20:37Speaker 2: Keep the naval blockade, sanction the crap out of their
- 20:40Speaker 2: overseas assets, their bank accounts in Dubai, Hong Kong. And
- 20:43Speaker 2: then most importantly, Carl, let Israel loose. Let the Israelis
- 20:47Speaker 2: just do their thing and just provide diplomatic cover. That's
- 20:50Speaker 2: all they need. That's literally all they need is moral
- 20:53Speaker 2: and diplomatic defense. Essentially, I think that alone, those two things.
- 20:57Speaker 2: will be a sustainable situation, at least for the time being.
- 21:01Speaker 1: On the.
- 21:03Speaker 2: Minnesota situation, so first of all, I actually have a
- 21:06Speaker 2: slightly personal connection to this story. So the Somali jihadist
- 21:11Speaker 2: said he was targeting the Mall of America because of
- 21:12Speaker 2: the Jewish owners of the mall. As the case may be,
- 21:15Speaker 2: I actually know the owner's daughter. She is married to
- 21:18Speaker 2: a very close family friend of ours, wonderful family. So
- 21:22Speaker 2: this is horrific stuff. And again, it's the rise of
- 21:24Speaker 2: domestic terrorism. But it is part of this of this
- 21:27Speaker 2: red green alliance on the home front. There are a
- 21:29Speaker 2: lot of people who justify terrorism, whether it's in Israel,
- 21:32Speaker 2: whether it's here in America, because I think that they
- 21:33Speaker 2: are fundamentally on the side of the resistance freedom fighters. Again,
- 21:37Speaker 2: all this is towards the ultimate goal of the abolition
- 21:40Speaker 2: of America, the abolition of Western civilization. Sometimes, Carl, the
- 21:43Speaker 2: mask slips. They say it out loud. These SJP chaps
- 21:46Speaker 2: on campus, they say the quiet part out loud. Just
- 21:49Speaker 2: listen to what they say and formulate a coherent response
- 21:52Speaker 2: from what they say.
- 21:54Speaker 1: Man, I got to tell you, honestly, you guys make
- 21:56Speaker 1: sure that you follow Josh Hammer. I wish we had
- 21:59Speaker 1: more time with him today. Author of Israel and Civilization,
- 22:02Speaker 1: Senior Counsel of the Article 3 Project, which I did
- 22:05Speaker 1: not know. Shulman Fellow at David Horowitz Freedom Center. No,
- 22:08Speaker 1: he's not too busy. Anyway, Josh Hammer, thank you so
- 22:12Speaker 1: much for joining us. Really appreciate you taking the time.
- 22:14Speaker 1: God bless you, man. God bless.
